Bonjourno. We are still away on vacation, but the news never stops. And yesterday we both received
alerts on our phone that there was yet another shooting in the United States of America. And
it is alarming the rate at which mass shootings happen in the United States and the accessibility
to American citizens to have guns. This doesn't exist in other first world countries. This is a
uniquely American problem. And what is so interesting about it is the people who claim that they are so pro-life are the same people that
want more guns and easier access to guns. It is easier for a 13 year old to go buy an assault
weapon and not really have that many checks than to get a driver's license, to buy a beer, to buy a porn magazine.
The easiest thing that anybody can do in the United States of America with very little penalty
is go buy a gun or have access to guns. And it is so horrible how much America honors and obeys and worships any sort of corporation over the benefit of the
people. So all of these big right wing Christian politicians, they're going to go on the hope and
prayer tour the next two or three days. All of those politicians are the biggest hypocrites on the planet. They all support a lying liar in Donald Trump.
They all want to be right up in women's OBGYN appointments.
Pumps, I don't know about you, but I think it'd be interesting if we could see all of their porn history.
Absolutely.
STD records also.
Infidelity.
All the things. What is so amazing to me is that Republicans spend their time
trying to ban books and ban drag queens, and yet they do nothing about guns. And something else
that I find interesting is mental health. Now we're going to hear Republican politicians going on and on about mental health is the issue.
And I just want to put up for everyone that every Republican voted against mental health in schools.
So it's not the mental health issue they're worried about.
They're worried about keeping guns in the hands of Americans because of the NRA lobby, which is so powerful, and
protecting the Second Amendment. But I personally would prefer they protected children over guns.
I would hope that children could have as many rights as guns in this country. But a stark
contrast is the response by Kamala Harris to the school shooting in Georgia yesterday
versus Donald Trump. And we'll play you this side by side.
You know, a lot of us, I'll talk, speak about myself. You know, we had,
well, I grew up in California, earthquake drills, we had fire drills, but our kids
are sitting in a classroom where they should be fulfilling their God-given potential
and some part of their big, beautiful brain is concerned about a shooter busting through
the door of the classroom.
It does not have to be this way.
It does not have to be this way. What I have to say about this is Kamala Harris hits to the core of what happens to mothers in America trying to raise children.
I will never forget the day I went to pick up my youngest son.
He was in seventh grade.
I went to pick him up from school and he gets in the car and I said, how was school today?
And he said, we had, it was drill day.
We practiced our drills.
And I said, oh yeah, the tornado and fire.
And he said, oh no, mom, we practiced the active shooter drill.
And my heart fell into my stomach thinking about these kids sitting in a classroom,
talking about what they would do if somebody came
in with a gun to a classroom where they're learning American history or what have you.
And we're not doing anything about it. In fact, the Republicans, the Donald Trumps,
think that you should arm teachers. And I don't know about all of
you, but I don't think Mrs. Jones, my, uh, 75 year old third grade teacher needs to have a gun on her.
It's just the logic of these people. But here's what's happening to the Republican party.
They have been slowly beating all of these drums, but they were more
organized and civilized about it. But they were always pushing pro-gun. And you have to remember,
even Ronald Reagan, St. Reagan got shot. They did nothing about guns. And they've been beating these
huge lies regarding abortion. Even Liz Cheney, who's making the news because she endorsed Kamala
Harris, was a lying liar when she was a member of Congress and repeated the horrible Republican lie
that physicians and medical workers kill babies that are born nine months old in American hospitals
all over the world. She repeated that when she was an active member of Congress. Yes, she's having a moment of clarity, um, voting for Kamala Harris and endorsing Kamala Harris right
now, but she's still a part of the machine that led to Trumpism. She's still a part of the
Republican party where all of these sensible Republicans were quietly pushing all of these
radical ideas. And now it's come to a head.
Y'all are the radicals.
The Republican Party is the most radical party, anti-government, anti-democracy party in the
first world right now, I believe.
Let's hear the clip from Donald Trump.
In my second term, we will roll back every Biden attack on the Second Amendment.
The attacks are fast and furious, starting the minute that Crooked Joe shuffles his way out of the White House.
So we see Donald Trump there going full in on access to guns.
Zero restrictions, zero tempering the ability for background checks, sensible gun legislation.
And I just want to point out that in other first world countries, there has been gun violence over the past few decades.
Their government immediately takes action.
They pass laws and regulations and their gun problems have reduced significantly, if not totally.
So what are we doing in America?
The Republicans are doing nothing.
They're blocking every democratic, common-sense gun legislation,
and we continue to lose children over their devotion and worship of guns.
And it's really interesting, you know, that they get away with, we are pro-God, pro-life, pro-gun, and they even brand their branding,
God and country, God and guns. And I'll tell you what, Barack Obama was a hundred percent right
when he said people cling to their religion and their guns.
And, you know, there was this big pushback because they can criticize liberals all they want to.
But the minute you propose critical thinking to a Republican, they melt down.
They completely melt down.
When Hillary Clinton called them a basket of deplorables, which clearly they are.
Stage five meltdown. They still talk about it. Go bananas. Want to throw her in jail.
And it's just the Republican Party, which is now the MAGA party, it didn't just slowly get to Trump.
It was marching directly towards Trump. Trump just ripped the Band-Aid off of all of the shit
that they wanted to do. George W. Bush would talk about, oh, I'm a compassionate conservative because they knew
that they had a problem with their policies. So they threw the word compassionate in front of it.
But at the end of the day, before Trump, the Republican Party was all about honoring
corporations and giving corporations more rights while feeding
propaganda to a poorer electorate. And it slowly keeps going and going. We're in Europe right now.
We notice how clean all the food is. All of the chemicals that is put in the food in America are illegal here because they care
more about people's health and well-being than the profits of a few fat cats that sit
in a boardroom.
And I can tell you this, the stark comparison in this upcoming election, Donald Trump cares
solely about enriching himself and then whoever happens to be around him.
And I want to read everybody some headlines that are in the Drudge Report right now that are just, quite frankly, very fantastic.
Republicans secretly want Trump to lose.
I believe that's probably correct.
Some of the decent ones,
but if they're out there campaigning for him, screw that. And also remember the Republicans
speaker of the house is a completely insane person who thinks he's Moses, the character from the
Bible. So they can try to distance a little bit, but now they're starting to say they're better off with Kamala. Goldman Sachs has admitted what we've been saying on our other podcast in here forever. The economy is stronger with Democrats. This myth that the Republicans are so good at business, the only thing they're good at is helping the stockholders, not the general good.
And then here's my favorite below the fold on the Drudge Report.
Trump campaign in chaos, infighting among grifters, hucksters, and profiteers.
And there is nothing, and I mean nothing, that I love more than Republican MAGA cannibalism.
I mean, I can inject that into my veins because, of course, they're all grifters.
The final days of Trump's presidency, he invited the MyPillow guy, Mike Lindell, to the Oval Office every single day.
And they sat there and went down conspiracy rabbit hole after rabbit hole.
And he had that cracking lawyer.
And this, this is who the Republican Party, the party of patriotism and all the bullshit
lies that they tell.
These are unserious people.
And even the ones that are serious.
And Liz Cheney, everyone's like, oh, I'm so proud of Liz Cheney.
She endorsed Kamala Harris. Quit praising people for being normal. Stop it. Liz Cheney was a part of the machine that led to Trumpism. And a lot of
Republicans, when they do an autopsy on this, they're going to have to look back at all of the
fear mongering and the bullshit that they did. The Liz Cheney's, yes, she has clarity now,
but she was a part of a massive Republican movement on social issues that took people further and further to the right that primed them for Trump. And I want to remind you of this.
Liz Cheney's sister's gay and she still continued to vote for all of this anti-gay stuff and hang
out with the Heritage Foundation, the prayer breakfast,
all of that bizarre right-wing stuff. So yes, Liz Cheney, thank you for being a normal person,
but we're not going to have a parade in her honor over here at IHIP News. I'm not doing it. I know
that the news cycle is just going to be going bananas. Oh my God, Liz Cheney endorsed Kamala
Harris. Good. You're a normal person.
Right. Partially, but you still tout all those lies that led to Trumpism. So I'll tell you what,
there's a lot of people that are going to let these people off the hook, not on our watch.
It's not happening. Right, pups. Absolutely. No parades at IHIP News. No, no parades for being
a normal person that has the deduction skills of a three-year-old
that can say, boy, that man in the orange makeup seems like he's crazy.
That woman over there seems like she's really smart.
Bravo, Liz Cheney.
Let's have a big parade.
I've had it.
Had it.
