The tariff theater and lies of Donald Trump over the weekend and yesterday are astonishing.
So he basically crashes the stock market, inflates prices, agrees to the exact same deal with Canada and Mexico that was already in place and runs around taking a victory lap.
It is the most insane display of sheer incompetence and lies.
I mean, I'm shocked about how bad it is, and I shouldn't be.
I'm not shocked at all.
All of the concessions that he's claiming that Canada or Mexico made, in fact, have all been in place since before his inauguration.
What the big takeaway here is this is how you handle Trump.
He's going to try to bully you. He's all bluster. He's a blowhard.
You fight back. You come back punching. You threaten Americans' economic stability.
And then you have an American public, even MAGA, who do not want their retirement accounts, inflation and all of the things.
Now, there's a 20 percent base that are nuts. They're like, no, tariffs are great. It's patriotic to spend more. I mean, these are people that are jellyfish. There's no spine. But we need to all be prepared to be zero percent shocked because I believe the
tariff theater was a distraction for the shadow government, the far more nefarious thing that's
going on where we have Elon Musk accessing the United States government's checkbook.
It's terrifying. Elon Musk has no business in
charge of anything. So I'm going to play a clip from CNN where an analyst explains exactly what
Trump did yesterday. First of all, Trump is trying to repackage the status quo as a victory. That's
what the leaders of these foreign countries are learning. You don't actually have to give Trump anything. You just have to make it seem like you have to let him
announce victory on TV. Second of all, it's not actually back to the status quo. It is worse than
the status quo. As Richard points out, we have tarnished our relationships with our allies,
whose help we need to rein in China, which I know you care about. Beyond that, think about the
additional uncertainty that's being added to the business environment right now. If you are a company and you don't
know if tariffs are coming or they're not coming, you don't know if your input costs are going to
go up or they're not going to go up. Why would you invest? Why would you invest in oil pipelines,
for example, to Canada? I know you really care about the Keystone pipeline, for example.
I mean, the one that Biden killed. You know that that would be the oil coming from Canada, from Canada, which Trump is now threatening to tariff.
Why would anybody?
We have a deal.
We have a 30-day deal for nothing.
You guys, you guys, you guys.
It's just I'm so grateful that I don't watch CNN any longer.
I have so much gratitude that I don't watch this bullshit where they are.
There's no discussion here.
There's no discussion.
It's just a statement of facts.
Trump threatened tariffs and countries retaliated, and then he bent the knee and he blinked and he didn't go through with it.
And he's lying and saying that he got concessions from these countries that Biden had already put all of this stuff in place.
And then it's end of discussion.
But the fact that they're normalizing and trying to say in Washington, is it a victory?
Is it not a victory?
And blah, blah, blah.
I've had it.
I mean, it's just too much. I agree. This is what the Montreal newspaper had this morning.
And I love this. Kylie, if you'll put that up, shows a picture of Trump and all his horrible
makeup. And it says stupid. And I completely agree. They nailed the cover. Well, you know,
this is what Trump, he said forever, other countries,
we're the laughingstock. They make fun of us. We're going to be respected. And those of us
that are, you know, follow the correct news know that the only embarrassing thing about the country
is Trump and his supporters. And I'm sure there's some international listeners going,
well, there's a lot more embarrassing things, but in general terms. And now look at this. He is a laughing
stock. Nobody takes him seriously. And I saw a poll recently that was done in Europe in the last
couple of days, which leader is the biggest threat to world peace. Donald Trump passed Putin,
Kim Jong-un, and Xi by multiple, multiple percentage points,
double digit.
And he, people in Europe, 41% Donald Trump, the biggest threat to world peace.
This is a paradigm shift in Western democracies in the United States of America, leading the
stability of Western democracies. Well, you talked about the shadow
government that Elon Musk is trying to implement. I guess he is implementing it, which I read this
morning, part of his new staff are like teenagers. I'm just like, are you kidding me? So Trump,
in all of his wisdom, this is his response to questions about Elon Musk
accessing private classified information and government personnel records.
Important for Elon Musk to have access to the payment systems at Treasury.
Well, he's got access only to letting people go that he thinks are no good if we agree with him.
And it's only if we agree with him. He's a very talented guy from the standpoint of management and costs.
And we put him in charge of seeing what he can do with certain groups and certain numbers.
The numbers, some of the numbers are horrible, what he's found.
A hundred, think of it, a hundred million dollars on condoms.
To Hamas. Condoms to Hamas, and many other things that are frankly even more
ridiculous. And they're finding tremendous waste, really waste more than anything else,
I think you could say. Probably fraud and abuse could be added to it, the worst standard,
waste, fraud and abuse. Okay, Kylie, I've had enough. The word salad. Okay, I want several things. Number one, he makes no sense. He uses words on a second grade level. But for him to say that Elon Musk and his high school college age minions need access to the Department of Treasury and all the government employees, personnel records to figure out who is no good.
Elon Musk is going to make that decision.
Are you kidding me?
Look at, and he's so good at running stuff.
Twitter is in the shithole because of his outstanding.
70% of its value.
70%.
I wonder if they have teenagers in charge there.
I'm sure they do.
These are the, you know, this is so ridiculous.
And I just want to point out one thing.
I find it super rich that he's sitting there talking about waste and ridiculous spending
when this man has an online flea market full of Trump talking fish, Bibles, Christmas ornaments,
and sneakers, and all this bullshit.
It's just, they're finding,
they're going to find out very quickly that government cannot be run like a business.
And this is a huge Republican myth that gets perpetuated. These white Republican businessmen,
and we know them, they think, oh, there's so much waste in government. There's so much just,
is there some waste? Yes. But they think they can go in and run government like a business.
And that's not the way government is supposed to be run. And it doesn't work that way.
OK, now back to the terribly depressing and alarming news.
Yes. And Elon Musk, who we all know is a Nazi because of his Heil Hitler's and all the shit he says and does blatant racism coming from him
blatant fascism so someone posted regarding more white South Africans need to come into the United
States and Elon Musk says yes are you kidding me white South Africans are being persecuted for
their race in their home country.
Also, white South Africans are one of the few population groups that are fiscally positive when immigrating to Europe.
We should allow more immigration of white South Africans.
Elon Musk says yes.
Are you kidding me right now?
Well, I read this is really interesting because I'm wondering why he's so
consumed with USAID. And apparently they worked in South Africa to help dismantle,
what's it called? Apartheid. And he's really bitter about this. Elon Musk is. And also,
one of the first things Putin did when he got power is
dismantle these types of agencies. So there is a personal vendetta that Elon Musk has that's very
similar to a lot of Trump's vendettas where they're both kind of on this revenge tour. I mean,
so when you really unpack it, like you have these two mentally unstable people that their number one
default setting is to seek revenge and retribution to obtain power, not by their merit, not by their
hard work, but by nefarious, dishonest reasons. And so for a racist Donald Trump, who's been a
documented racist for decades, to attract other racists makes perfect sense.
That they both want to help each other on their revenge tours makes perfect sense.
The problem is, like, if they were best friends playing chess at the cuckoo bin, fine.
You know, they could, like, cosplay all this stuff out. He's literally performing what I believe are illegal acts, shutting down tax filing systems,
gaining the treasury checkbook. I mean, this is really dangerous stuff. And of course,
he's racist. Of course he is. They all are. The whole movement is.
