Welcome to IHIP News. Today, I would like to discuss how incompetent Donald Trump has been as a businessman. As you point out all the time, he's bankrupted casinos. I think it's important to listen to Hakeem Jeffries when he talks about the nation's debt. This is very interesting, and I want to get your take. In our nation's 248 year history, 25% of our nation's debt was accumulated during the four years of the former president. 25%. How dare you lecture America about fiscal responsibility ever? And then President Biden comes to office, gets big things done for the American people on infrastructure, on the Chips and Science Act, standing up a clean energy economy, rescuing America from a once-in-a-century pandemic, gets all of these big things done, partnering with House Democrats and Senate

Democrats, and in the process, in his first two years, reduces the deficit by $1.7 trillion. And so we see a very clear pattern. The facts speak for themselves. Democrats are the party of getting things done and fiscal responsibility. Republicans are the party of massive tax cuts for the wealthy, the well-off, and the well-connected. Brilliant. Brilliant. Fact base. Absolutely. Here's the problem with this clip. I dig defined it. Right. Because they flood the zone. The right wing media echo chamber is out there now saying the Democrats killed the bill. And it's like, no, they didn't. You dipshits. Little Moses Mike, little teeny tiny Moses Mike and the president elect of the United

States, Donald Trump and his, I mean, Elon Musk and his first lady, Donald Trump, they all killed the bill because they're all over there playing patty cake and who's the leader and all of this crazy stuff to an unhinged cap locks tweet. This message, this is why we need young progressive voices to go on a economic tour, something, name it the rebellion tour and go to red States, go to blue states, go to rural towns and get Jeffries, Jasmine Crockett, Maxwell Frost, Eric Swalwell, get them out there in AOC and let them send this message. Be on a 24-7, 365-day campaign. Get a big bus.

Go around. Send this message around the United States, get all of the left wing content creators, independent news to clip these things up and make them go viral. I had to dig to find this. This should be top of the fold all the time, but it's not. It's not. It's Joe Biden was diminished in his last couple of years of his presidency. Well, no shit.

Right. You know, it's not as diminished as Donald Trump, but whatevs. Right. No, I get so sick of that. And that was exactly what I was thinking when I was listening to him. Why is this not on every social media, every news station, every newspaper, banners at football games, because this is reality. 25% of the deficit under Donald Trump. And the reason that there's not a spending bill right now is he wants to cut taxes and increase the debt of the United States, $5 trillion for billionaires.

But you have to dig to find it. You have to want to know what the news is. And what we've learned is there are so many Americans that are either don't care or low information. And all they see is Donald Trump saying, I'm a businessman and he was on TV. So he must be a great businessman. Why are they not getting the facts out? Why are we not, like you said, going to rule America in cities and states where we live in red states and saying, do you know why this is happening in your community? It's because of the Republican supermajority. Here's what we're offering. Instead of doing the swing state tour

nonstop, and then you let go of everybody else. But the problem is you have to educate Americans, particularly rural Americans. And the only way you can do that is to get in those towns, get in those little cities or social media, because you cannot depend on the mainstream media. Because while the mainstream media is saying that, you know, tariffs are going to pay, Donald Trump is saying, oh, tariffs are going to pay for child care in the United States. And everybody knows that's bullshit. They're saying, oh, well, he sharpened his economics plan. They need to call it what it is.

It's insane. The revolt is going on inside the House. They can't get shit done. It's not the Democrats. It's the Republicans. Look no further than Elon Musk's platform. And I completely agree. This should be everywhere. We're going to have to educate the voter. So I think it's important for the Democrats at large

to understand the way people receive their news now. And they receive it in little clips. And so we need to have the most clippable people giving this message. And an 80, 75 year old, an 80 year old is not going to provide that. Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump are the exceptions in that regard. And they are able to give really great clips. But typically, I think we need to have young voices. And I'm going to talk about something that might be kind of sticky to walk into, but we need to talk about it. In rural America, they tend to be racist. And that's just, we live in Oklahoma. I know the more you get to rural America, the more racist they are. So the Democratic Party needs to have progressive white people as the messengers to rural America saying, here's what Donald Trump did. And he tries to scare you by being scared of black people.

And now I want to introduce you to somebody who works with me and start showing this connectedness, how we're all connected. Rural America, you're really connected to people of color. Rural America, you're actually connected to people that could be gay because believe it or not, a lot of gay people are born to redneck parents in rural America. And so we need to figure out the messaging portion of this. And you have to have dynamic it factor style politicians that can deliver soundbites that are digestible, dynamic, and entertaining. Whether that's right, wrong, good, bad, or indifferent, that's where we are. Rolling

out Maxine Waters 20 years ago, yes. Right now, no. Joe Biden right now, no, it doesn't work. You have to have people that have the it factor, that speak like that, that you can clip up. But a lot of America is very, very racist. So we're going to have to have, and we are the party where most members look like representatives of the United States, but we're going to have to start addressing the racism in rural America in a gingerly way. We can't just say, you guys are racist. They'll be like, well, goddamn right I am. You know, I mean, Donald Trump said it was fine. And so they're just, this approach the Democrats are doing right now, it makes me crazy because they're so breathtakingly out of touch by clinging on to the status quo where they just got their, they just got

beat. I mean, of course, it's not the mandate that Trump said it was, but you know, a lot of people didn't show up or show out and we need to motivate people to go vote for their best interest and vote for Donald Trump. You're a billionaire. motivate people to go vote for their best interest and vote for Donald Trump. You're a billionaire. If you're voting for your own self-interest, other than that, it doesn't behoove you or benefit you. Right.

I think the part that I completely agree with is we have to humanize people because what Donald Trump has so successfully done is he's dehumanized people. He's dehumanized trans people, immigrants, people of color, women. So we have to rehumanize them. And I agree with you. There has got to be something that the Democrats understand, which is you're not going to get people watching mainstream media start to finish. It's got to be quick. It's got to be clips. And why in the fuck would you put an 80-year-old messenger on that when you have such a dynamic bench of people? And we've also got to figure out why are people so mad and address it, even if it hurts the political power

and the donations into your campaign. People are mad at corporations, yet they elected a billionaire because people are voting against their own self-interest, because Republicans are better at messaging and hitting people viscerally with dehumanizing and hate and touching on the racism and giving this complete permission structure to be the worst part of yourself. Yeah. You know, the Republicans have been able to get people to vote against their economic interests for quite some time. I remember back during the 2004 presidential race between George W. Bush and John Kerry. There was no contest. John Kerry was a war hero, actually fought in combat, didn't get deferments, a brilliant person. And George W. Bush was a total dipshit, right? And he had all the billionaires in his pockets. Dick Cheney was licking his chops,

couldn't wait to start a war so that the military-industrial complex could highly profit off of it. Well, Josh and I were driving from Oklahoma city, Tulsa, and we had to stop kind of like at a rural gas station. And there was this car, I'll never forget it. And there's a woman and she's probably got like five kids. None of the kids have on shoes. The car's a total beater and it had George W. Bush stickers all over it. And Josh and I just, I looked at that and I thought how they use religion. And back then the wedge issue they used at the time was gay marriage. They used gay marriage on purpose. What's so insane about it is Dick Cheney's daughter was a lesbian and John Kerry tried to do that, but he was too civilized. And it made me so mad that they swift boated him and the Democrats just sat there and took it.

And they've not learned a lesson since that defeat in 2004 that you have to call these people out. Dick Cheney and George W. Bush should have been eviscerated. firmets that had no problem sending military recruiters to poor black neighborhoods to recruit these kids and then send them to the front line of a bogus war based on a lie to die. Did any Bush or Cheney kids go? No. Was Dick Cheney's daughter able to be in her gay relationship? Yes, of course. And so the Democrats have got to start calling this out because it's all there and they're going to have to start calling out the religious right, corporations, because you cannot have the religious rights so embedded into politics and then not offer a response because you just defer to people's faith.

That faith is dangerous. It's cult-like and it set up the psychological soil of crazy magical thinking for people to jump from that right into Trumpism. Yeah. I mean, there's a straight line in all of that, as you can see by preachers at the pulpit, praying over Donald Trump and do, you know, all of those things. But I, I, the messaging, we got to get better. We got to hit hard. We've got to be on the offense. Okay, guys, we got to get better. We got to hit hard. We've got to be on the offense. Okay, guys, we'll see you later. It's so entertaining to have the Vane.
