All right, welcome to IHIP News. Pumps, what you got for us today? Well, just to start, I want everybody to know my heart rate resting going over all of this Pete Hegg-Seth confirmation hearing is about 500. It is so appalling and so offensive, and I'm not even in the military military and I am just profoundly appalled. So in the Senate confirmation hearings yesterday, I'm just going to set the stage for this video. This is what the poster that the Republicans brought because they're so mad about DEI. This is the poster. Kylie, show it. For those of you listening, it says DEI in our military, and military is spelled M-I-L-T-A-R-Y. So even the military is misspelled here.

Here's my thing. If you are going to be a senator in the United States Senate, and you are going to be sitting in a hearing regarding the secretary of defense, you should at least, a minimum requirement should be that you can spell the word military. And to me, that just encapsulates how unserious this confirmation hearing is, how unserious this secretary of defense candidate is. I mean, and again, we go back to nobody noticed in anybody's office that military was misspelled on this poster. It just, it's appalling. I'm grossed out beyond grossed out. You know, I think stuff like this, I have to save what my outrage is.

And a Republican assistant, a MAGA assistant misspelling military surprises me zero. I'm zero percent outraged over this. And I'm saving my outrage for that which really matters. Otherwise, I would not be able to function these next four years. So to me, that's like, you know, look at Trump's tweets, misspelling and grammatical errors trickle down. So that's par for the course for these people, in my opinion. I agree, but it just, it's so gross. Anyway, fast forward to the confirmation hearing, which was one hearing, four hours in length, the copy of the report from the FBI was not generated to the committee members. They asked for it. They did not receive it.

And apparently the only person on the Republican side that people were hoping would be a stopgap was Joni Ernst because she served in the military. And it's reported there was a big pressure campaign on her. Her campaign coffers became full. She had a private meeting with Hexeth and she's going to appoint a bureaucrat to oversee sexual harassment in the military. And now she's going to confirm it. And so all of this goes to say, he's going to be confirmed, this man who is completely incompetent, allegations of sexual abuse, allegations of drunkenness,

two nonprofits he's run have shut down because of financial mismanagement. So we have Tammy Duckworth, who's a Democrat, who was in the military, and she asked him simple questions and he had no answer. Matt, you've done none of those. You talked about the Indo-Pacific a little bit, and I'm glad that you mentioned it. Can you name the importance of at least one of the nations in ASEAN, and what type of agreement we have with at least one of those nations? And how many

nations are in ASEAN, by the way? I couldn't tell you the exact amount of nations in that, but I know we have allies in South Korea and Japan and in AUKUS with Australia, trying to work on submarines with them. None of those countries are in ASEAN. None of those three countries that you've mentioned are in ASEAN. I suggest you do a little homework before you prepare for these types of negotiations. Is that unbelievable? No, it's perfectly believable. This is Trump's bench. At least the people the first time, they were right-wingers, they were neocons, they're tea partiers, they were in the infancy stage of joining the MAGA movement, but they were learned people. Now we have this bench and all of these people, they live their life for an audience of one, and that one person is Donald Trump. Donald Trump confuses those

seeking asylum with an insane asylum. He confuses windfall tax with green energy windmills. This is totally on brand for MAGA. So we have to temper as we move forward with this. Are we outraged or do we message this is exactly what MAGA is? It is the death of expertise. It is the death of character. It is the death of decency in the birth of oligarchical government. And what Trump wanted, and Trump in his first term was his own personal goon squad. He wanted the military to be loyal to him, not to the Constitution. So, of course, Pete Hegseth didn't do his homework because he's too busy figuring out, how can I make this man happy? That's how weak he is, and he will be confirmed.

And so I think we have to temper our outrage moving into these next four years. Otherwise, this will not be sustainable for anybody. It's impossible for me to temper my outrage. I know you're 100% right. But I mean, I could just feel my heartbeat just racing. I mean, I was just like, this cannot be serious. Like, they're serious about this. One senator, she he asked, Hexeth, many pushups did you, I mean, how many pushups can you do? That's a serious fucking question in a Secretary of Defense confirmation hearing. And guess what his answer is? Speaking of audience of one, he did five sets of 47 because of Trump.

I mean, how gross, how fucking gross is that? He's gross. I did like what Mark Kelly had to say. Let's hear from him. On Memorial Day 2014 at a CDA event in Virginia, you needed to be carried out of the event for being intoxicated. Senator, just true or false? Very simple. Summer 2014 in Cleveland, drunk in public with the CDA team. Anonymous smears. I'm just asking for true or false questions. True or false answers? An event in North Carolina, drunk in front of three young female staff members after you had instituted a no alcohol policy and then reversed it. True or false?

Anonymous smears. December of 2014 at the CBA Christmas party at the Grand Hyatt at Washington, D.C., you were noticeably intoxicated and had to be carried up to your room. Is that true or false? Anonymous smears another time a cda staffer stated that you passed out in the back of a party bus is that true or false anonymous smears in 2014 while in louisiana on official business for cda did you take your staff including young female staff members, to a strip club?

You know, what's so sad about this is a lot of people suffer from alcoholism. And it is something that they don't choose to have. And they can go get help and get into recovery and put their disease in remission. And some of those people are some of the best people in the world, the people that have had to have that emotional grit. If, heck, Seth, we're sitting here saying, yes, I was an alcoholic. I've been sober now for five years. And I work a program and I have a therapist and this is what I've learned from that. There's a redemption story to that. What the whole MAGA movement is, is you have broken people that are actively in addiction or actively mental ill or actively fucked up out of their mind toxic.

And they've all convened together at the Roach Motel in Florida. And we are about to have the most toxic government imaginable. And as somebody who was born in America and raised here, it is really sad. I mean, I can't even watch the news. I'm glad the Australian Open is on because I've just been watching a lot of tennis because at the end of the day this is maddening but it's also like god i'm a mother of two sons and all of the normalizing of toxic behavior uh and not um offering younger men uh a role model of sorts, a moral structure that, yes, you're going to make mistakes. Being an adult is hard. Some people fall prey to addiction, can be pieces of shit womanizers, but there is recovery and there are ways that you can become a better person. And on the other side of that, the enlightenment can be amazing. And then those people can perform, I think, outperform in their jobs because they've been to the gutter. But

that's not what this is. This is a guy who's in the gutter, who's lying about having been in the gutter. And of course he is because look at his boss, look at Don Jr. You know, I mean, this, I always go back to one of Trump's best friends at the end of his first term was the MyPillow guy. You know, like, I'll never get over that. You know, the MyPillow guy went to the Oval Office every day after January 6th and hung out with Donald Trump. Yeah.

I mean, here's some of the highlights that I wanted to, I was waiting to put these in front of you. Okay. So you had the answer of anonymous smear campaign. Another one of his big answers, no yes or no's, it was always anonymous smear campaign. False claims. He has been redeemed by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Okay, I'm going to stop you right there.

That is the most gag bullshit ever. And I want everybody to listen to me on this because I know that a lot of you that watch this are probably Christian light. You don't take the Bible literally, but it's a guiding source in your life that helps provide you serenity. I am not talking to you, but as a person who has been raised and lived in the buckle of the Bible belt, this is skirting the system. This is what these evangelical Christians do. They wreak havoc.

They leave a debris field that is just full of pain and wreckage. And then they say, oh, I found Jesus. And there's no depth. There's no work. There's no emotional grit. It's just this superficial dusting. Oh, I found Jesus. Then everybody in the church and everybody in the community goes, Oh, you know, Satan was kind of active in his life. And now he's back with Jesus. And that's it. That's it. That's all that's said and done. This is not growth.

This is middle-aged thinking. This is, it's insane. And it just perpetuates this type of toxic behavior to repeat and repeat and repeat. And then this debris field of all of this wreckage, now we're all in it. We're in the crosshairs. And then what's so sad about this as a mother of two young boys that could be drafted at

some point for these fucking y'all who's seriously for that guy, you know, for Donald Trump, it's gross. It is dangerous. And I know that the world is looking at this like oh jesus christ because i am too right jesus christ if he could fix everything maybe the catholic church wouldn't have been all upside down maybe the baptist church wouldn't have been all upside down maybe if religion helps you some you still have to go see a therapist and do more than that. Because historically,

I've not seen that that fixes it. I've seen that when I see high concentrations of religious people, a lot of fuckery abounds. Historically, that's what I've seen. Well, and it's unchecked. Like you said, there's no growth. And they here's the thing. I just when he was saying that over and over again, I just thought they're playing that on repeat on Fox news. And everybody's like, Pete had problems, but now he's fixed it. I mean, that's, it's such bullshit. He's an unserious candidate. Donald Trump is not serious. The Republicans asking how many pushups you do. Joni Ernst, who just caved like a cheap suit. You know, this falls on them because I expect him to be confirmed.

I expect the Democrats to vote against him. I expect all the Republicans to vote for him because they are such pussies and they will not stand up to Donald Trump even when our military and national security is at stake. And it's offensive. It's appalling. I can't imagine the toxic shit show we're about to see.

It's going to be brutal. And this is just the first, I mean, he gets sworn in next week. It's going to be a nonstop potpourri of fuckery, a revolving door of just insane shit. Trump 2.0 is going to be a million times worse because guess who's seated in the front row at his inauguration? All the oligarchs who four years ago put out these statements in defense of democracy and they were so outraged by Donald Trump. Before he's even started fucking everything up, they're already aligned with him. And what's so terrifying about this is, Zuckerberg, Musk own the way

a lot of people receive their news. And I thought this was interesting. Mark Zuckerberg has said he's gonna do away with fact checkers in the United States of America. So Brazil, who also had Bolsonaro, who attempted a coup, who they have incarcerated since then because they mean business, said, wait, hold up. You're taking away fact checkers? And Zuck says, oh, no, just in America. We're going to keep the fact checkers in Brazil. I did not know that. That's real. So they know they're going to cling on to power too.

So the misinformation and the disinformation that we've seen in the past, it's going to be on steroids moving forward because the last thing they're ever going to want is a Congress in 2026 that holds them accountable, that starts auditing all their shit. And so they're going, it's going to ramp up because they have quadrupled down. I mean, I don't know what Zuckerberg's deal is, but I mean, other than he's spineless and has zero conviction, because now he's like, masculine energy has been neutered. I'm like, who says that other than somebody who's desperately trying to prove that they're masculine? I mean, you know, like who even thinks that that's so stupid. I mean, let's talk about human energy. I mean, it's just, it's so stupid. I hate all of these people. And I just
