Trump came out of hiding yesterday to do an Evita style appearance on the Truman balcony.
It was nauseating.
I will spare you the video viewing of that.
But we have a situation where Elon and Trump are having a nasty, messy, very public divorce.
And there's only one person talking about it, and it's Elon.
And the biggest yak mouth, loud mouth, bridge troll
in the United States of America who cannot shut up
hasn't said a word about it.
So I thought it'd be interesting to see how
MAGA Entertainment, we don't call it news,
MAGA Entertainment is spinning this't call it News, MAGA Entertainment is spinning
this, put up this post. Newsmax says, I think Trump might be working in tandem with Elon here
to tank his own bill in a 4D chess move. I saw that and I immediately busted out
laughing. When are these people going to understand Trump can barely play checkers? Fordy chess is not on his Mingo card. He is intellectually incompetent.
And this to me, the silence is deafening on this whole thing.
It completely is. So let me show you what Elon's up to on his uber loud global megaphone, formerly Twitter, now X, which is interestingly the
name of his child, pop up this first one. So Elon says, this spending bill contains
the largest increase in the debt ceiling in US history. This is the debt slavery bill.
Evan loves wharf response. Just want to be clear that Elon's problem is literally that it
doesn't take away food and health care from enough people. I wish I was lying. So a couple of points
here. Number one, for him to compare that to slavery is intellectually dishonest and cruel.
Secondly, Evan Loves Wharf is absolutely correct here. And so the Democrats need to wade gingerly as they start retweeting and saying, I agree
with Elon.
That's lazy.
That is intellectually lazy.
Point out the only reason that Elon doesn't like this bill is, number one, Trump fired
him.
And number two, it removes the government money that he gets for the electronic vehicle, $7,500
per car.
It removes that from him.
That's why he doesn't like it, for two reasons, his ego and his pocketbook.
Well, it's so funny because when Elon Musk came on the scene, we were like, oh my gosh,
there is a bigger titty baby than Trump that whines about what a victim he is.
And now this is more Trump than Trump, going after Trump right after a breakup, throwing
him under the bus, because that's what Trump does.
When you stop giving him what he wants, he throws a hissy fit and starts throwing darts
at you.
Now Elon's doing it to him and it's delicious.
So I saw that guy, Harry, whatever, on CNN that does a bunch of polling. And it said,
within the Republican Party, Elon Musk has a 60 something plus approval rating,
only beaten by Trump, who was about 10 points higher. So what's interesting about this is you're
going to have a situation where these Republicans, these MAGA congressmen that have no conviction,
no backbone, all they do is follow a leader.
So are they going to follow the cult leader, Donald Trump, who is not a spring chicken,
who can't say cryptologist, who drones on about Hannibal Lecter, or are they going to
support Elon Musk, who can throw millions of dollars into their campaign.
So that's going to be an interesting thing to play out.
Put up the next tweet from Elon.
Elon Musk, call your senator, call your congressman.
Bankrupting America is not okay.
Kill the bill.
This is unbelievable that Trump hasn't responded. It surprises me zero that
Elon is doing this. That is not surprising. It is so surprising that Trump can get on
the internet and bash America, bash Americans, cannot bash Vladimir Putin, and cannot bash
Elon Musk. It's very fascinating to me.
Well, I think that the reason Trump is not going full bore on Elon is because Elon owns
him and he knows it. And there's a part of Trump that is self-preservation more than
unable to control his impulses. And he knows Elon can bury him because of all, in my opinion, illegal shit they did
surrounding the election. So I think there is no other reason while somebody as big of
a bully as Trump and as big of a titty baby would not be going after Elon.
It's really fascinating. Okay, look at this, Congressman. This tweet cracked me up. Okay,
so this is Thomas Massey, and he is a representative
in the United States Congress. And he says, it's insincere for Speaker Johnson to insinuate Elon
Musk is against the big, beautiful bill because it doesn't benefit his companies specifically.
Musk is a true America first entrepreneur who could have had a much more comfortable existence and
a higher net worth by sitting on the sidelines of politics.
But he cares about this country, so he got involved.
He knows if America collapses financially, we aren't making it to Mars.
He's right.
And then he goes on and on.
But here's what I want to say that just fascinates me about this.
MAGA is so easy to worship rich people.
The fact that they're acting like Elon Musk is this huge sacrifice.
Elon Musk's companies rely exclusively on the United States government, without the United States government being
its biggest payor to Elon Musk and to Elon Musk's companies.
He's not the richest man in the world.
He's just another con man dipshit.
And so it's fascinating to me how many MAGA people buy into this narrative that Donald
Trump is sacrificing to be president.
The only thing he sacrificed is his golf time,
which he still does quite frequently.
He ran for president again
because he didn't want to go to jail.
Elon Musk sacrificing because he cares about the country
and then that if we don't do this for Elon,
we'll never make it to Mars.
Does this hit hard in rural America?
I'm just mystified at how corrupt a lot of the
brains of the American public are that they will vote and go all in for these billionaires to rip
them off to go to Mars. Right. The whole Mars thing, it's so ridiculous that he would throw
that in.
And Elon Musk being America first, Elon Musk is from South Africa.
Elon Musk came in with the chainsaw to the US government.
His doge cost Americans more money than he saved.
He doesn't want anyone to know he's asking the Supreme Court to hide what he saved
because it is so under the projections that he said.
This Tom Massey, I think, is kissing Elon's ass for campaign contributions.
And that is how pathetic these Republican enablers are.
Well, and they're making a calculus.
If I'm a mega-politician, Pumps, I'm going to look at this thing, and I'm young,
like, you know, 40s, 50s, all right?
And I think about, okay, I've got 25ies, fifties. All right. And I think about,
okay, I've got 25 more years that I want to be able to have insider trading and all the
corrupt shit that the United States government allows politicians to do. I'm going to make
a calculus that Trump is what? 79, morbidly obese, life expectancy can't be that long.
When you tack obesity onto it, the problems just get worse and worse.
He is showing major signs of dementia and cognitive decline. He doesn't seem to have
all of his faculties. Elon Musk, granted raving drug addict, but is willing to just get out
his checkbook and just write checks, write checks. And so if I'm a corrupt person, I
think I'm going to go with Elon.
Also, Elon has this huge megaphone. Trump doesn't have that. He has a lie social. Musk will
immediately start like gaming the algorithm. So Trump's tweets won't be seen because anybody
who's on Twitter knows that like, I don't follow any right leaning anything and it's Musk, Musk's sycophant, R Word Finder,
all this stuff pops up in my feed because he's game the algorithm and Musk will do that.
That's what he did during the election.
He gamed the algorithm for Trump and against Kamala Harris.
But here's the thing, and here's where Democrats have got to just start hitting Musk and Trump as hard as they can.
So, Pumps and I both bookmarked this video of Scott Galloway to play for you guys.
And when we went to send it to our producers to play in this broadcast, it was gone.
So, Elon Musk games Twitter all the time, but our producers, Savvy Millennials, found it.
And he's trying to disappear this clip off the internet, which
makes me want to play it all the more. Kylie play the clip.
But somehow, we've decided in America, that innovation and
money replaces or obviates or excuses to poverty. Cutting off
aid to HIV positive mothers, deciding what veterans should get benefits, cutting
off SNAP payments, which have shown to have a positive net return when people run out
of money for food at the end of the month.
I think one of the wonderful things about being an American, and quite frankly, for
me what it means to be a man and what I try to teach my boys is the whole
point of prosperity is that you can protect people.
And I think the two of you are more impressed with Mr. Musk than I am.
I think if somebody is making Nazi salutes, if somebody is being sued concurrently by
two women for sole custody of their child because that person has not spent any time
with that child, when someone is so severely addicted to drugs,
they can't get their shit together to show up to the White House without
looking exceptionally high. I don't think that's the right role model for
young men. So what I would ask to all of us is look at what money has done to
us that if someone can land a rocket on metal scissors or create a great AV, he's a genius.
He's the wealthiest man in the world.
But does that mean we should excuse depravity?
Does that mean unlike Bill Gates, he's not using his billions to help people?
He's not planting trees, the shade of which you won't sit under?
I think this is an individual who has literally come off the tracks, who is rabidly addicted to drugs,
and is using his immense power to get people elected, and that too many of us excuse what is
abhorrent behavior. I think his legacy is not going to be an EV or putting rockets into space.
I think it's going to be unnecessary death, disease and disability of the world's most vulnerable.
That is not what it means to be an innovator. It's not what it means to be an American.
It's not what it means to be a man.
Wow.
Exactly. This is what we say on here all of the time. So many Americans immediately just
fawn over wealth and they excuse the behaviors in your personal circles.
Like if somebody arrives that's wealthy, it's like,
oh, here's such and such, and he owns this company or owns that company.
And can act like a drunk asshole, and everybody excuses it.
Everybody excuses it, but if somebody poor or working class walks in and behaves that way,
they're held to this,
you know, standard that you should be like, hey, you're a drunk asshole, get out of here.
But rich people do things with impunity and then put that on a global scale right now.
And nothing is showing the world how much Americans value wealth over the well-being
of human beings as much as Elon Musk. And it also
further exposes the evangelical Christianity base of MAGA that they
don't give a shit about any of the things that the central character of
their book of worship does or says because they vote for three times in a
row Trump and his dipshit drug addict BFF Elon Musk.
I completely agree. And Trump, the fact that Trump has debased himself for Elon Musk and lets Elon
Musk stand in cabinet meetings while he sits and stand in the... I have to stop you. Trump debased
himself decades ago. I think, well, yeah, you're right, but I'm saying his alpha male persona,
his WWE persona, Elon Musk controls him. And now we're seeing it because he's so quiet.
And I agree with you. People are not valued in this country. It's not individualism. I mean,
it's not collectivism. It's individuals and it's money. People like money. They don't give a shit
about other people. They don't unless it personally affects them.
And then they will personally start to care about it.
And that's something that we have to start trying to inject into the culture.
Care about people for the sake of caring for them so that you can put your head on the
pillow at night and feel good about yourself as a human being. But the dissonance that is taught and encouraged in Americans to not care about anything with
the exception of money, even people that don't have it, that work minimum wage and then have
to get government benefits, will go vote for the people that demean them.
It's wild.
It is completely wild.
All right. That's all we have for this episode, and we'll see you all later.
