It's a pretty desolate place.
I'm kind of driving in under smouldering grey cloud.
The story I want to tell you begins here, deep in the English countryside.
Yeah, here's the farmhouse.
At an elegant country manner, White House Farm.
Big sign saying trespassers will be prosecuted.
It became the scene of one of Britain's...
most infamous crimes.
It's one of the most notorious
and shocking crimes in living memory.
In the death of the night, five members of the same family
were brutally murdered in their family.
It was one of the most sensational murder cases of the decade.

What can we salvage?
What can we resubmit?

in finding the evidence and putting the case together, really.
hadn't have done, I think he would have got away with it. I really do. I think he would have got
away with it. The story I uncovered challenged what I thought I knew, not only about the murders at
White House Farm, but also about the police, the judiciary, the whole British legal establishment.
At every level of the criminal justice system, there's been a cover-up in this case.
Well, I certainly didn't give anyone a statement.
No one's spoken to me about it since the 1980s other than you.
Does that seem kind of strange?
Does that seem strange to you?
I didn't murder my...
I mean, I promise you, you know, no matter how many times we slice up this case,
I'm always innocent.
I'm Heidi Blake.
This is blood relatives.
