Indiecast - Indiecast Is Back! Starting Friday April 10!

Episode Date: April 6, 2026

Hello and welcome back to Indiecast! We are pleased to announce that the podcast we started back in 2020 and co-hosted through December of 2025 — when we were temporarily put on hold b...y our former producing partner — will return on Friday April 10. Same show, same day of the week, and even the same podcast feed. What’s different is our logo, which is a slightly different color. Also, we are now working with Amazon Music, who we are sure you have heard of. Otherwise, we’re picking up pretty much where we left off. And … just in time for a new WU LYF album? Seriously? Did Ian engineer this? While Amazon Music is helping out with the show, Indiecast will remain on all the platforms where you used to hear it. And it will be free. However, there will be special “bonus” content in the weeks and months ahead, including artist interviews, available exclusively on Amazon Music’s streaming service. We’ll have more to share on that very soon, but for now, the most important news is this: We’re back. And we’re ready to hash out some trends. If you want to learn more about how this happened, and what else lies ahead, please visit Steven's Substack.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Starting point is 00:00:10 Hello everyone and welcome to Indycast on the show we talk about the biggest indie news of the week, we review albums, and we hash out trends. In this episode, we announced that Indycast will be back, starting on Friday, April 10th. My name is Stephen Hayden, and I'm joined by my friend and co-host. He was waiting to come back until there was a new Woo Life album. Ian Cohen, Ian, how are you? Can I get a Wee Bros needle drop? Is that sort of thing in our budget now?
Starting point is 00:00:37 But seriously, Indicass is back with a new presenting part. partner Amazon Music. We also have a slightly different logo. It's blue now. Ian, yay or nay on the new logo. I like how our listeners can now refer to blue Indicast and green Indicast as if we're Weas are working in reverse. And, you know, like Weezer, blue greater than green, big fan of the new logo. I'm also going to say yay on the new logo. And a big yay on Indycast coming back, just like you remember, the same show, the same format, same day of the week, same feet. best of all, the show will continue to be free. Ian, how do you hash out the trend of all these indie rock podcasts mounting comebacks?
Starting point is 00:01:19 You're telling me there are other indie rock podcasts now? Oh, it's just a bad rumor. We have some other plans for the weeks and months ahead, including artist interviews that will be exclusive to Amazon music. But otherwise, Ian and I will be back talking about the biggest indie news of the week every week. Albums will be reviewed, trends will be hashed. We may or may not do sportscast. I don't know if Amazon is paying for that one.
Starting point is 00:01:45 So be sure to look out for a brand new episode of Indycast coming to you this Friday, April 10th, wherever you get podcasts. We'll be back with more news, reviews, and hashing out trends this week.
