Episode Date: June 9, 2026Joel McHale (Community, The Soup) joins us this week for a conversation that is exactly what you would expect and then some. That's F-U-M-M with that little thing over, what's it called?
Over the U.
Um-LOT.
Um-Lat, yes.
Fume.
Now listen to this.
If you're smoking or if you're vaping, you want to hear this.
Fume is a flavored air device designed to help people quit vaping.
and smoking by breaking the hand-to-mouth pattern.
It's simple, natural and honestly, kind of genius.
No nicotine, no batteries, no vapor, just a weighted, twisty, fidget-friendly tool that gives
your hand something better to reach for when cravings show up.
I noticed myself doing this at the computer the other day.
I couldn't believe it.
I was like, what is this thing?
Why did they send me this?
Oh, this is our sponsor, and I started using it.
Cravings aren't just about nicotine.
in there about the habit. The hand-to-mouth motion, oral fixation, the momentary pause.
When that loop is broken, cravings spike. And fume replaces your habit with a flavored air fidget
device that gives your hands and mouth something to do, distracting cravings without nicotine,
vapor, or batteries. Don't just try to quit. Upgrade the habit loop. Reach for fume instead. And they have so
many different flavors. They sent me so many flavors. I have cinnamon in there now. It's refreshing.
Oh man, it's, it's so nice to not think all these chemicals and crap are coming into your body.
You know what I mean, Ryan?
So I think this is pretty freaking genius, like I said.
They have crisp mint, raspberry, and so many others.
And here's their current offer at Fume.

What else? I'm on Instagram at the Michael Rosenbaum. I do the cameos. A lot of cameos.
I've been doing a lot of cameos lately. Well, you lowered your price recently.
Yeah, I did. I lowered my price. So, you know, more people could do it. And it makes me busier.
So that's good. But thanks for all the well wishes. The neck. It's getting better. I can still see
scar there and got a scar on the back and, you know, uh, not fun, but it's slowly getting better.
I'm still in pain, but, you know, that's life. Ryan, how are you doing?
I'm all right. Yeah. I'm okay. Better help. Did you get your better help on?
Got my better help on yesterday. Yep. Oh, good. Yeah. Talked about some good stuff. Talked about,
talked about some stuff. Do you find yourself repeating yourself about things because you just haven't
resolved them yet? Maybe like once a month and then that's when it feels bad, but then sometimes you feel
like you talk about the same thing and then you make a little bit of progress on it. And that's when it
yeah, I think the more you talk about it is you finally figure out what you need to do.
When you keep talking about the same thing, the solution you realize is closer than you think.
Yeah.
You know what I mean? It's like you keep talking about you keep talking about why do I keep thinking
these things? Well, there's a problem. How do I resolve the problem? So yeah, love better help.
Thanks for being here. Thanks for supporting the podcast. And, you know,

because he's uh he's top notch let's get inside of jol mikhail
Where you get nervous for a role.
Oh my God.
I get panicked.
Do you get anxiety?
Yeah.
I live with anxiety.
What are you doing?
I was just taking a live picture.
I always get nervous, but that's fun.
I look forward to it.
Let's get everything out of today we can.
And how much time do you have left?
And how are you going to use it well?
So come on now.
We would have to do another inside of you.
But actually, but that's kind of what you're doing, Michael.
I mean, you're on this road, this journey of what's in.
Inside of You.
Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum was not recorded in front of a live studio audience.
It's nice that we're, what's the word?
We're branching out.
We're not just listening to mainstream stuff or all that you're branching out to all
the way far east.
Yes.
Japan.
I'm a huge Sabrina Carpenter fan too.
Have you ever been to Japan?
I was there on Tuesday.
What?
Yeah.
What were you doing?
Vacation.
I've never been and I'm going in December.
Is it, am I going to love it?
You're going to love it as much as Gatorade.
Brant to you by Gatorade.
It's great.
It's so great.
And I wish we could have stayed longer and I can't wait to go back.
What's the perfect amount of time to be there?
A week.
Yeah.
Decade.
A decade.
Yeah.
We went to Tokyo and Kyoto and Mount Fuji and Mount Fuji.
And I was like, I haven't seen enough.
And there's, those places are really.
highly populated and there's so much incredibly cool stuff to do. But I would love to have gotten
out to the countryside. Yeah. And to the coast. It's just...
Beautiful. Clean, beautiful. There's no garbage cans. Yeah, you take your garbage with you.
Well, where do you bring it to your house garbage? Yeah. That's what you do. Yeah. There's no smoking.
You get in trouble if you smoke? There are smoking boxes now. Smoking. Smoking.
Boxes. Like at the train stay, like outside, they'll just a box with like, full of smoke.
Eight people in it. Just full of smoke. Like a, like a, it's a very nicely done like portable you'd
see at a elementary school. Well, they got it right, I guess, don't they? Yeah. It always seems like a lot of other
countries have it right with certain things. Yes. Well, and their food love. I mean, obviously we have
incredible food. What's the difference between the best sushi restaurant in L.A. and the best sushi restaurant in
Japan. I would say the, well, I think it's more, the sushi here is incredible. Right. And the sushi there,
obviously is incredible. I would say the stark difference is like the sandwiches at the 7-Eleven in Japan are
incredible. The egg salad sandwich is the one of the greatest things I've ever had. And you don't even
have to check the date, I assume, because these folks know what they're doing. There's, I would,
buy them every day. And then I went to
they, they, uh,
I was recommended by multiple people to go to Kentucky
fried chicken. And?
It was fantastic. I went to McDonald's in Amsterdam.
And? I'm not shitting you. I swear to God, gun to my head. It was one of the best
meals I've had in my entire life. Now who's holding a gun to your head to ask you these
questions? I mean, if I was right in front of God and God said seriously, it was McDonald's good?
I go, God. God raises a gun. Yeah. And I go, God. Damn.
What are you doing?
You're God.
You don't have a gun.
And you'd be like, no, it's McDonald's.
He'd be like,
yeah, oh, he'd put it right back because he knows I'm not lying.
Yeah.
It was unbelievable.
The nuggets were crispy, juicy.
It just, the-
And were the people in the McDonald's like,
like Alex Luther, just feeding his face?
You know, I don't always get noticed.
I'd say if I'm out all day, maybe a couple times somebody will go, oh, you know.
And, like, in Europe?
Yeah, but I'm not like slammed or anything.
It's always a couple people.
here and there. You're probably slammed.
No, it depends.
You almost said Japan's.
Japan's. Not in Japan.
No one knows in Japan. No one knew you in Japan.
Except I'd go to tourist spots and then they'd be like, what?
Why? It did not make sense for their brands.
And then there would be like, it's never, it's never I can't, I'm looking at Joel
McCale. It's, what do I know you from? And then I start making stuff up.
Then I say Smallville.
Then you say Smallville.
Did you audition for Smallville?
Oh, I was not in the industry then.
Well, I couldn't get those auditions back then.
Were you doing TalkSoup then?
When was Smallville was 2002?
About there, yeah.
So I couldn't get an agent in 2002.
Really?
I did not have one.
I had an incredible commercial agent.
You made up for a lost time.
I, well, I did, it's all I was doing was commercials.
Right.
And I was like, I guess, this is all I'll do.
because I can't get an agent.
So thank you, AKA,
down on San Francisco.
Oh, I thought you were like AKA also known as.
No, that's what they're called AKA.
They're still there.
AKA.
AKA Cooper agency.
No, they were AKA.
Oh, I like to end a cent, just like AKA, you know, AKA.
And then you just don't stop.
Okay.
That's all.
Yeah, yeah.
So, yep, they didn't.
I didn't get an agent.
It wasn't until the soup was on.
Then agents started making offers.
And they probably didn't give you a lot of money
to do that show in the beginning.
No, not at all.
It was like $2 million a year.
Oh, God.
What?
Yeah.
No, but it was not.
It was not.
It was not.
We were a steal.
Right.
I was a steal.
I mean, and also it was making money for the first time.
Consistently.
Yeah, every week.
I was like, look at me with a job.
I can buy stuff without getting worried.
Were you nervous in the beginning when you're doing that show?
Was it all scripted or were you improvising constantly?
It was scripted and it was both, but I can't.
I could not read at that time.
I'm much better at reading now.
You couldn't read?
I ask anyone who was a part of that show, they would just see me stomach.
I'm so dyslexic and I would get nervous when people were watching me read.
So that did not help.
So it took me four hours to get through 22 minutes of jokes.
You know what's funny is that that's not.
but but I think that you know I don't know if it's dyslexia or something but like if somebody
throws lines at me say this blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah my mind can't compute and say it back
right away yeah you have to go like mm-hmm I have to kind of look at it I need to look at it
and then I could repeat it's weird it's like a repetition thing I don't know it's got to be
some kind of it makes sense like you like oh it has to be in my bones for a second like yeah
Are you good like that when somebody throws something at you?
If I know that if it's too, if it's too long, then no.
If it's like a lot, like they're like, do this entire monologue, no.
No, but if it's like, say.
If it's lines being thrown at like, try this joke, try this joke, try this joke.
Like four or five words.
Yeah, I could do that.
I mean, if it's, as my friend, the writers I'm very close with, they'd be like, it depends on the word.
It depends on the word.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If it's like judicial system, like a number of times, it's going to be rough.
Yeah.
It'll hurt.
Inside of you is brought to you by Blue Chew.
I don't even know what to say.
I'm so happy about this product.
Listen up, guys.
Listen.
See this right here in this little gold wrapper.
It's Blue Chewold gold.
This is awesome.
Blue Chew Gold has made something that I find incredibly unique.
They've been on a mission for years.
to get you bricked up, you know, build your confidence, help you actually perform in the bedroom.
And their new arousal boosting formula, Blue Chew Gold is helping millions of men have better sex in
2026. I tried it. I'm telling you, I only took a half and I was pleased. And so was someone else.
While most ED meds only focus on blood flow, blue chew gold goes further by combining two ingredients for blood flow
and two ingredients for mental arousal and connection.
So you're not just physically ready.
You're actually in the mood.
This type of innovation is why blue-chew gold
is the number one brand and erectile function.
Don't let your mind get in the way of a good time.
Level up with Blue-chew gold.
Ryan, tell them what they're getting.
We've got a special deal for our listeners.
Right now, when you buy two months of Blue-chew gold,
you get the third for free with promo code inside.
That's promo code inside.
Visit bluechew.com for more details and important safety information.
And we thank Blue Choo for sponsoring the podcast and giving us boners, really good boners.
Blue Chew Cold, man.
I read an article.
I'm sure you read it.
I think you posted it.
Maybe you didn't.
Probably.
It said you are going to, you were like fixing to be the new leading man or some shit.
Did you read that?
You bet I read that
How awesome is that?
I always read things that make me feel better
Yeah, what was the exact quote?
Do you know?
I can look it up on my phone
But it was really nice, but I thought
You were probably thinking, well, I know, I know this.
I can be a leading man and you're just figuring this out now.
Well, I thought it was fun.
I mean, thank God for that article,
but I think it was, it also said quietly.
Yeah, quietly becoming the leading man.
And I was like, I am not.
And everyone's comment, including the great Ken Jong, he was just like, quietly.
He's not quiet.
And then, yeah, then Ken said April Fool's because it came out on April 1st.
But I think it's because I was in, you know, because it was in scream, which everybody saw.
Or it was a large, it was a hit.
Is it a big role?
I played Neve Campbell's husband.
I can't wait to see this.
I got to see this.
We were just talking about going to see this.
Well, you guys are a pulse of the new.
came out two months, two months ago, three months.
Well, no, it's still out there.
It's still out there.
Just came out on digital.
It goes check out Scream 7.
Were you nervous at all getting, you know, being in such a huge franchise that is so well
known and getting this part?
Yes.
For the part?
I didn't.
You didn't?
I was.
Kevin Williamson just called you up?
I replaced someone who clearly.
Oh, I've done before.
And so they were already shooting.
And I was thrilled to, you know.
I was like, what? Yes. Of course. I liked that at the time my agent was like,
they really want you for this role. And I was like, I don't think so, but I'm so happy
that I was like, put me in, coach. I'll, I'll do it. And so I was thrilled. I couldn't
believe I was there. How much time did you have to prepare? I think they offered it and they needed
me there the next day. No. Oh, it was something like that. But a lot of lines and shit the next day?
There was a lot of action.
So there was tons of stunts and...
But not so much dialogue.
No, there wasn't like, you know, it wasn't like I had a huge...
Because you would have been a little more nervous if you had tons of lines and shit, right?
Well, I also get nervous if I had to pull off stunts and I want those to look good.
Yeah.
I don't want to...
And I love doing them.
So I don't want to fuck them up.
And I don't want to have the stunt people look at me sad.
They were like, oh, that was not.
That was cute.
Yeah, let us do it now.
No, you were fine.
You're fine. You're good. You're, you're, that's fine. You're cute. And so we were fighting. There's a scene where I'm fighting and it was a huge like action sequence and that was the first night of.
That's crazy. And I was couldn't believe it. It was so much fun. How's Nev? She's the fucking best.
Cool shit. Runs like her and Kevin, man. They are.
Kevin Williamson. One of the great. He says he's going to do the podcast, but he's like he doesn't really like doing podcasts.
But he says he's going to, I probably should see the movie before.
Kevin, do the podcast.
Yeah.
And if you like merch, you can have anything in this room.
Yeah, there's a lot of merch.
Just take whatever you like.
A lot of merch.
You got to bring me something, though, Kevin.
I'm sure he has a lot of cool stuff.
Yeah.
Maybe a Dawson's Creek lunchbox.
Yeah.
It has nothing to do with screen.
Created two different.
I mean, that's, think of,
created Dawson's Creek and created Scream.
I mean, you're done.
You don't need to do anything else.
You don't.
You could do one of those.
Preferably scream.
Dawson's Creek you made a lot of money.
Yeah.
But Scream?
Scream is...
That is the...
Worldwide.
You're in Scream, dude.
I can't believe it.
I mean, it's such a cool thing to be part of that franchise.
Yeah, it is a...
I will say.
I would do three lines in a scream.
Yeah.
I would scream.
Jimmy Tatro, he's right at the beginning of it.
I want to spoil it.
But he was just like, when I saw him interviewed, he was like, yeah, I just wanted to be in it.
and seriously yeah who else is in this movie uh skeet skeet is
skeet i think makes a barely right he's that they bring back a bunch of
lillard lilard nev courtie cox yep arquette you the incredible isabel may who plays our
daughter uh she's in a bunch of those taylor sheridan shows on her way to becoming a massive star
Ace of Germans in it. You know him from
Gen V. And his dad is Greg German.
Well, congratulations on that. And it made a lot of money.
It did. It's the most successful one.
Jesus. Not because of me.
Maybe.
But because...
That's just what they needed.
This is a leading man.
They were like, who can play a borderline grandpa?
I know.
Joel McHale.
I couldn't believe I was there.
Yeah, it was one of the things where I was just,
just like, it felt like I had one, I was at an auction and bid on an item where they're like,
you get to be in the screen movie. God. And I was like, I would have paid for this.
Did you get any, did you save any memorabilia or keep anything from the set? You had to have.
No. Nothing. Well, at least your chair thing that said your name on it. I saved that.
Yeah, you always keep that. I don't know if this, well, okay. I don't know if this will make it.
I need to check with the following. But.
the part was Patrick Dempsey played the husband in the last one.
Right.
And he was supposed to play this one.
Right.
And I don't know how it went down.
I don't think, I don't know if he had, I think his schedule or it was money.
I don't know.
Patrick, please forgive me if I'm fucking this up.
But I get there and his nameplate is on my chair.
Did you keep it?
Did you keep it?
They wouldn't let you?
They wouldn't let.
So I was like, this is, and so, thank you, Patrick.
Yeah.
But I did, I got there and they handed me this watch, which is the watch that he wore.
And it was a tag.
Oh, tag you were.
And I was like, okay, so I play a cop and I have a $30,000 watch.
And they're like, he, well, when they were like, when Patrick was here, it's his, he has like a deal with them.
so he has to wear a tag in every,
no matter what, he has to wear a tag.
And so,
and then I was like,
can I,
can I have it?
And I was like,
I was like,
what's the backstory on the $30,000 watch
that this cop has?
And,
they don't let you have it.
They don't let me have it.
Damn.
But I was like,
let's,
because Nev's character,
wrote a book in the series,
made her very successful.
So I'm like,
maybe,
maybe it's,
that. Maybe she got me
this watch from her book sales.
Yeah. And then
people, at that point, when I'm
saying this out loud,
um, uh,
in the chairs, people have just backed
away and it's just me alone
talking in a room. And I was like,
what? This isn't interesting. And then, uh,
Kevin woke up and he was like, oh my gosh, how did you do that?
I can't fall asleep that fast.
What a great story, Joel. Thank you.
Just, I'm going to record that and use it as
white noise to fall asleep. You know what? Also, I saw the bear and I couldn't believe how
loathing. You mean awesome? I mean awesome and like fucking you fucking you mean like snappy and like
intense and and just under your skin. Well, you know, he wasn't doing his job. I mean,
you didn't let him. I think I gave him quite a chance. Was that a tough role to play for you?
Hold on. That's my cuckoo clock. No.
shit yeah is it loud but just let you know you're alive in switzerland yes in switzerland is it an
authentic swiss i got it in germany i got it so it's a german how did you get it back without breaking
it they sent it to me it's not working correctly though obviously you hear it but it's not the right
time but i don't know who i don't want to take it off and bring it to some you bought it and then
they sent it or they gave it to you i bought it they sent it to me are they expensive it was probably like
two grand yeah but there's a lot of
lot of moving parts and it's yeah yeah and they're not exactly working right now we had one growing up
and now i'm my when i talk to my mom today and my dad i'll go whatever happened to that clock and they'll go
i don't know you guys broke it and then we just never had it fixed and i was like you're right
because we'd always want to see the bird yeah coming out it was probably really nice and the uh what's
the lump have i not been here since the bear i must have been i don't think so i think it's been
while but you were you were half the size yeah yeah you were 11 that's you look great but
but my beard was shorter yeah and it's taking this long to grow it does it take you a long time to grow
beard no it takes me i don't know it's starting to gray out yeah how old are you now 54 when did you
turn 54 november 20th oh i'll be 54 July 11th look at us yeah look at what our parents did
almost at the exact same yeah very close in proximate
Where were your parents when they did that?
They had sex with, I almost said sex with me.
They had sex.
Were they in a cult or anything?
Yes.
I was born in 72.
My dad was 19.
Oh, so I was born in 71.
Yeah.
Well, they had sex in 71, which then I was born in 72, nine months ago.
Okay.
Yeah.
Your dad was 19?
Yeah.
And my mom was 24.
Oh, all right.
She already had two kids, was remarried, living with my girlfriend.
grandmother. My parents eloped. And there was a lot of feuding. My grandmother says,
your daughter is a bad influence on my son. And my grandmother Ruthie, my mom's mom just goes,
fuck you. My grandma Blanche had never heard that before. See you at Thanksgiving.
Yeah. See you at Thanksgiving. But playing this character in the bear, was it, was it hard to
tap into that when you're like, I don't want to be too dark or did they keep?
pushing that like no meaner
meaner because Chris Storr who
is the creator of that show and
a wonderful kind
human being so talented
he was like go for it man
go for it and
so that there's the first scene where I just start going
why why yeah
and that is based on a real chef
and who
he watched that happen to somebody and he
was just like he goes
yeah he was like let the floodgates go so
when I'm like over a shoulder whispering to him
he was just like
I don't know just say fuck you just say
make fun of his height make fun of like he would
you improvised yeah so we were
we were we were just going did he ever
break character because you were throwing some shit out
there was a couple like yeah
there's a couple like look at you your haircut
you fucking shitty haircut were you
just fucking with them I was like your tattoos
like who care like oh you're so
cool you're so cool with your
chef tattoos they
who I played springsteen oh no you can't
You can't do that.
You can't break the fourth.
Now you're Calvin Klein model and you're in a wrestling movie.
I'm just like, it would be so odd to.
Those things had not happened yet.
How are you predicting the future?
I don't know.
Oh my God.
I heard you were in negotiations right now.
It was so funny.
That show, it was that was like the second episode of the first season, third episode.
And we were shooting in a restaurant in Chicago and there, I remember.
you know, when you're on location on anything, like, they had like one or two trucks full of gear.
And then the next season, I come. So I'm only in, like I come in for five minutes and then I'm out.
But the next season, it was, I was like, oh, now there's 20 trucks.
And then the next season, it was like 50 trucks and people across the street trying to get a glimpse of Jeremy.
and I was like we were outside I was like this is going well I was like congratulations man this does
not happen this is yeah this is a once this is a fucking this is four grand slams in a Yankee
stadium uh this is pretty incredible and he was like he's so cool and he was like yeah it's pretty
great and I'm like it's fucking great if I had if I was if I had to have sex with a man yeah and no one's
telling me that I had to do that but if I had to
it would be him
I find I just think he's an attractive
cool guy do you want me to text him no no
I'm straight well you just said
if I were
what's this is this the same thing with the
McDonald's thing
whereas like all right gun to my head
if someone had to ask me yeah but the difference
yeah I guess it would be it'd be similar
to that okay God once again
it's not something I wish for
though right all right but if you had to
if I had to like if you had to like if you had to
sex with the man. Paul Giumati. No, you wouldn't. Would you? Yeah. You know why? Because he probably
sure, let's make you comfortable. Let's do this. And, you know, he had a lot of time in Seattle. So we had a lot to
talk about it. Very true. He could talk about some, our favorite bands. Who would it be? I bet it be
Matt Damon. Uh, would I have sex with Matt Damon? Yeah. Sure. Yeah, he just seems like he'd be
gentle. Yeah, I think he'd be, yeah, and you'd be into it. Yeah. But we didn't when we, we didn't
have sex on the movie I did with him. What movie? You're the research guy, right? No. Oh,
oh, you're just journaling? What movie? Uh, the informant. Oh, I didn't see the informant.
Steven Soderberg. Oh, I heard it's really good. It's really good. I'll tell you the things that I've
been in that are bad, but this was really good. Well, so far, you've named some stuff that's good.
Uh, the informant is, was when it came out, it was underrated. And, uh, Matt Damon's performance,
should have been, he should have not just been nominated. He should have gotten an Oscar and a Golden Globe.
And, and you can see, it's a true story as well. I'm writing this down right now because I'm going to watch it.
And the, um, the soundtrack is also just one of the best soundtracks, uh, I think in, uh, in movie history.
There you go. The informant. Yeah. Um, yeah, it's really something. It's good. I'm good in that movie. Thank you.
I don't have a big part at all, but, but I'm like, oh, this was all good. Like, look at this.
This is a good movie. And it was early on, like, it was 2008 when we, so I had just, like,
the soup was just starting to work. I think I didn't get it a pilot. And then freaking
Steven Soderberg asked if I wanted to be in this movie. And I'm like, I will murder for you.
I will, whatever you want, I'll do it. Is he like funny or kind of like, just kind of,
And like, okay, like you can't really joke with him like we could joke.
Oh, he could.
If he had wanted to, he could have been a very good standup.
Really?
He could have been a dynamite standup.
His delivery.
He's probably wry.
Yeah, he's super wry, super funny.
So good, such a good storyteller.
And like, we were in the middle of nowhere, Illinois.
No offense, Decatur, Illinois.
You guys, it was really fun.
But we would always be done by about 8 o'clock.
and then Stephen would be like, all right, see you at the bar.
And then we party for hours.
And then he'd be like, see you tomorrow.
And just like that.
And we thought he'd edit the movie after we played darts and drank all night.
Looking good guys.
Yeah, great.
And then I had a newborn.
Jesus.
My newborn, my second kid who is now 18.
Jesus.
Sarah was home with like a brand new baby and a three-year-old and I'm like,
uh, today, man, God, when it was, it was hard.
And it was so great.
It was so, yeah, it was one, I, that was one of the better, uh, film experiences of my life.
I love that.
And Matt Damon, it was just, just makes you happy.
And he was a gem to work with.
Who?
Yes.
everything you could hope for.

And many worry they're wasting the days of sunshine.
Look, there's so many things I could tell you about this.
Stress.
Stress with the kids.
Stress with work.
Stress with finances.
stress about relationships.
If you don't have somebody to talk to about this,
and I'm not just talking about a friend,
I'm talking about a professional.

Do you miss when things were simpler?
or you know, you weren't always working, running around, just enjoying more.
Are you happy now with, I mean, look, there's two different kinds of happy.
There's, I'm married, I have kids, I'm constantly working.
But do you ever miss on the little intermittent moments that you have time to just breathe and chill?
Or do you still have those moments?
You're assuming I ever had those moments.
Well, I assume you constantly work.
Yes.
but the second so yes but the second somebody said we're going to pay you to say jokes out loud on camera
and we're going to pay you to do this thing that you have been trying so hard to get somebody
to do it to be solvent in this thing the second someone said all right here's the ball and
I'm like I'm going to fucking run with this thing uh I
I'm looking at your lighting.
I thought it was outdoors, but I realize.
Yeah, we're inside.
It's well done.
I thought that was.
So, yeah, so I am definitely a workaholic, OCD, crazy person, no doubt.
And that can start to become exhausting, especially for, you know, my family.
But I freaking love it.
Well, how do you have time for, you know, because your career,
you're doing everything you wanted to do it's all coming to fruition you're doing it you're in it but when
you get home aren't you kind of like odd job uh no then i then i got to fix stuff like yeah you got to pay
attention to the kids you got to pay it you know you got to have sex every once in a while wait
you put the lot of stuff together yeah i met you just got to pay attention to kids you got to maybe
have sex with your wife you got to like so so you got to give yourself enough energy to do those things um
yeah and uh i got i got
I, yes, so I don't, I agree.
And so when I'm there, it is intense and or I'm intense and then my, then they want me to leave.
But my, so I'm, yeah, I'm constantly.
If I'm there, I'm cooking.
If I'm there, I'm trying to help out every way I can.
So yes.
So everything is always on full blast.
Because you feel guilty.
You want to be, you still want to be dad.
You still want to be husband.
You still want to be there.
Yeah.
My older son always jokes.
He goes, hey, dad, how can we never bonded?
And I was like, you know how much that hurts?
And he goes, yeah, yeah, dad.
What are you going to do about it?
Try to bond with me too late.
Too late, James Bond.
And then I'll be like, well, here's a bag of money.
See you.
And then it's like the roadrunner.
So it is, yeah, I don't, there's, I have a fantasy of going to a spa day,
but that hasn't happened in years.
Like, I was like, maybe I'll go get a massage or a foot massage or something.
Maybe, I'll go drive down Ventura and I'll be like, hey, go get a.
Time massage.
Yeah, and then it never happens.
Why don't you get a massage chair?
I have two of them.
And I have a foot massager here too.
Or just come to my house.
I would do that.
Like, my wife would be like, you could get a massage chair, but where are you going to put it?
You don't have a big enough house to put a massage chair in?
According to, like, there's not a good place for it.
What would have to be moved?
Is there, can it be buried?
Can it be next to your bed?
No way.
Why not?
Because you would, for, my wife would be, she was an interior design, so she would be like,
we're not putting this.
Mine is.
Well, mine's in my bedroom.
Does it match?
I can't say it matches perfectly, no.
All right.
But it's just a big, they're big.
It's a big chair.
Does your girlfriend like it?
We'll take a look at it.
You'll tell me what you think.
Yeah.
No, and then I'll see it and I'll be like, I'm going to buy one.
It is.
it is zero gravity.
You go all the way back
and you just melt for like a half
and a as long as you want to make.
Does it give you anxiety?
No, it takes away the anxiety.
Because when I sit still.
I'm relaxed just thinking about it right now.
You look relaxed now
even for a person that's going to
have their freaking neck open.
Yeah, surgery. Fun.
You never had surgery?
Didn't you have surgery on your shoulder or knee?
No.
I had surgery on my belly button
when I was like two and a half a month old.
That's it.
That's the only surgery I've had.
I've had all sorts of injuries, but.
Were your parents shallow?
Do they want it any?
No, I had, it was an infected piercing.
At two?
Yeah, they were way ahead of the curve.
And then I had to have that tramp stamp removed.
Yeah, God, those things.
At least you did it early.
I get anxiety when I slow down.
That's when I, you do.
Yeah, that's when I, like, I go into a pan.
Like, this is great.
This will be, what we're doing right now is possibly the most relaxing thing.
Is it?
Yep.
Oh, yeah.
You're, I'm not kidding.
Yep, yep.
Yeah.
No, because I can go into some dark places if I, like, I get real, like, my highs and lows can go low and high.
And so I can get pretty like, what's going to happen next?
What are we doing?
What are we?
What are we?
What am I going to die?
I'll do, I'll do like, I'm an old man now.
What's happening?
I have that sort of, that's where I need to talk to people.
Yeah, do you still think about death?
I mean, still, do you think about death?
I do.
I do.
I do you think about it?
Do you constantly think of death still?
Yeah, I don't think about actual death, but I plan my funeral every other day.
Okay.
I had lots of, like the catering, the guests.
I do the same thing and I swear to God, you're going to laugh.
in my um what is it in my letter to my estate management i haven't even gotten this for i did i have
estate management and i put i do not want these people to speak at my funeral and you're it was my mother
oh yeah simon peg um you're right it was a couple of people i won't name dave martin i just i just
naming but i just i just didn't want i you know i sam ramey i wish everybody planned their funeral so
when you die it's all taken care of because if someone dies and then it's like oh fuck and then you have to
see family that don't get along it's uncomfortable and it's shitty because that's my world that's why
i stress out see i'm stressed even when i'm dead trying to think how we can do a workaround for this yes
um see i don't have this i have i actually don't plan my feel and let here's what i want
I want a like a gigantic river boat going up the Nile.
But you, I understand your stress.
And it's, I'm very well thought ahead that you, like, these people will know how as you
be speaking.
Yeah.
But I haven't gotten, I think I get in my truck or something, I'll be like, well, this is
when like a small jet just careens off of course.
trying to land at Van Nuys and hits the 101.
And that's it.
That's it.
And I'll have all these projects that I will not have completed.
Wow.
You think that?
I have like, I'm worried about like sudden death.
I think I'll probably die where it's on a plane.
They're like, you know, I'll be on the plane that William Shatner goes down on.
And everybody's like, William Shatner dies at the age of 95 in a plane crash and others.
You won't be in a, you, he'll definitely be listed first.
But you're definitely.
I don't know if I and an actor.
No, if you're all, your name would, you'll be named.
I guarantee it.
You think?
No, I know it.
Okay.
You've crossed a threshold.
You still journaling?
You're still journaling, are you, bud?
So you've gone to enough Comic-Con that when, uh, in first class on the flight home.
Oh, I've seen him.
But, no, but it's packed in that plane on the way home.
Oh, yeah, and I think.
Who's first?
first so i was on one and it was the entire cast of the next generation uh except for jonathan freaks
and no patrick stewer everybody else was there right and and the guy from arrow stephen mell yes
he was on the plane and so a couple and i was like who's going to be listed first and uh and uh
Lovar Burton and I was like, it's definitely Lovar Burton's going to be first because he's,
he has three generations of fame.
And so what do you mean?
The next generation, the previous generation?
Well, no, he's got roots.
Oh, yeah.
So he was a real, like a bona fide star of the 70s.
Then he got next generation and then reading Rainbow.
Oh, yeah.
Which every kid knows far, well, of a generation.
15 years before us.
And so I was like, I think it's Yelvar.
I think you, you get, you, you're taking the cake.
And I have to do everything I can now to never be on a plane with you.
Yeah, it'd probably be, probably be nice to be on a plane and go, yeah, I'll be mentioned
first for sure.
It's a good feeling.
I'm going to take a nap now.
Everything's all right.
I have a cocktail.
I was on a plane one time.
Thank you.
As I am always.
and I saw a guy lift his arms up
to put his bag above
and then I lift it up and then there's just a gun
and I was like
just for the split second
I was like
oh it's an air marshal
and I was for just a moment
I was like what kind of just it ran to him
I was like this guy's gonna take
it this it was a split second thought like
sure we're gonna get hijacked and this is it
this is this is how i die and then i it immediately switched to air marshall because i was like
what dumb hijacker would show his gun how did it get this far and why would he have such a nice
leather like beautiful holster and why would he be so dumb as to like i got to put my bag up and uh
yeah i could just see him doing that and then reaching up and they go oh fuck yeah he there was no
oh fuck there was no just like yeah
And then I was like, great.
Yeah, then I was like, we're in a great flight.
This one's good.
This one's safe.
Tell me about House of Villains.
No problem.
I want to hear this.
So we came out a month before Traders.
So that's establishing.
It's like the show Traders.
Except it's comedy.
So it is all comedy all the time.
And we get, we call a House of Villains because we're like,
We want the biggest assholes and most villainous people that are on reality TV and have them come and be in ridiculous competitions.
Did you create this?
No.
It was an idea by this production company that it got it went on E and now it's it's no longer on E.
It's just on Peacock now.
And they let us do all the comedy we want.
like there's a competition there was like last season it was there was a naked butter statue of me
and they just had to keep their hands on it and the last person holding on to the naked butter
of me one did it show the wiener on the naked yeah okay yep and was it accurate uh no it was much
bigger it was much better and it was butter and mine goes the other direction oh it's inverted turns
to the right oh it turns to the right yeah okay very good um but we have like tiffany pollard who's
New York from the
Flavor of Love series has been on
every season. Yeah, crazy. And then
she's so wonderful. And like
we had like Teresa Jude Ice from
what do you call it,
Housewives of New Jersey. Where can we watch this?
Peacock. Peacock. But yeah, I'll come into the
show and be like, good morning,
assholes. And Teresa would be like, I'm not an asshole.
And I'm like, you went to jail. Fair enough. You were an
asshole.
Yeah. So it's,
It's like Tom Sandoval was on this year and he and this guy, Tyson, who was on every season of Survivor,
they struck up a real friendship and we taped like a fake sitcom that they start in.
This sounds like a blast.
It's a blast.
Jane from below deck.
She's fucking amazing.
So funny.
You can watch this now?
It is.
We are midseason right now.
House of villains.
This is something I want to watch when I'm tied up because of my neck surgery.
Oh, there you go.
Yeah.
Yeah, and you can also watch the 1% club airing next week.
What is with the 1% club?
All right.
So it's great.
I will say that's another, it's a show that's good.
They also let me tell jokes, lots of jokes.
We give 100 contestants and you go, all right, this puzzle, it's not, it's a puzzle show,
not a trivia show.
And you show the puzzle.
They're like, we asked 100 people, 90 people got this right.
You have 30 seconds to solve it.
And then the next question is 80%.
And then 70%.
It gets harder and harder.
It's harder and harder all the way until we asked 100 people,
1% of these people got it right.
If you get this, and then the money gets bigger and bigger as more people drop out.
Like what's a question you remember that you've already cared?
Oh, show you.
Like two thirds divided by.
Yes.
Yes. Stuff like that.
Stuff like that.
So it's not, yes.
So it's definitely a different part of your brain than like the Jeopardy brain.
How can working at your local Tims take you further?

What's harder, being funny on command or being genuinely vulnerable on camera?
I don't know.
I mean, obviously I accessed work through comedy.
Right.
And doing something like the soup was right up my alley of making fun of and commenting
on things.
So that in it's not saying that that show was it was just a breeze.
It was hard to put together in all those things.
But I think I think it's both.
It depends on I don't know.
You can be completely like you can be funny,
but then it's completely wrong for what's happening.
Yeah.
All I'm saying is it easier to be funny on command or vulnerable on command.
Oh.
I think it depends.
It's case by case, not to have a shitty answer or a vague answer.
But if you have to be emotional.
Yeah.
If I feel like I'm connecting to the material, it's easy.
Then it's, yeah, then it's, yeah, then I'm like, oh, this is, this is, I can do it.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm trying to think of like roles that I've gotten where I have to emote and get
worried that it's not going to work or something.
thing. But then if it's
if it's a thing where I'm like
maybe this is not what it's calling
for and I'm trying too hard
here. Yeah. But then there's
those, I'm sure you've been in those months where you're like
oh, I can't stop it. It's
just, it's all coming out. Yeah,
that's happened before. And
yeah, going way back
to a movie that nobody saw called
a Merry Frigrant Christmas with
the Incredible Robin Williams.
We were in this scene together
in the truck and we are supposed to both be
weeping. And I was like, I don't know if I can, I don't see. I mean, I'm obviously sitting next to
one of the greatest actors of all time. And then, yeah, we did it over and over. It worked.
And I was like, no one's going to see this movie, but this, no one saw the movie, but I was like,
oh, this worked. What was, what was his process like, Robin's process when you watched him,
when you saw where he was from point A and where he ended up?
Was it subtle?
Yeah.
As the scene began, as the cards of the scene began getting turned over, like you could,
and we started really that we had that connection that you will dream of.
And we're playing father and son.
And so I was like, oh, it's happening.
This is working.
He's so in, like, he's so dialed in.
And that dialed me in.
And yeah.
It fucking worked.
It's going to make me cry now.
Wow.
It, I was like, well, that's, I get to, I get to put that hat on my hat rack of
Accomplishment or whatever, yeah.
So, yeah, it was.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think about scenes like the, like Tom Hanks at the end of that, the movie where he's been, they hijacked the ship and like that.
Captain Phillips?
Yes.
What a masterpiece.
And then you're like that final scene.
Those are scenes where I go like, how did he pull that off?
How did he do that?
And I think the work comes before that, before he films.
Yes.
You've got to be in that space.
You've got to get to that space.
And, you know, and sometimes.
And be very prepared.
Very prepared.
Yeah.
Sometimes it's the less you try.
Yeah.
The hard do you try, it's, it's, it's, it's, it doesn't work.
If you just go.
man I love my grandma
I just love my grandma
and start thinking about my grandma
and all the things she did
and yeah man that was sweet
and just like you just need a little bit
of that little feeling in your sinuses
to get you going
do you do that if you're like playing a murderer
um if if like they're like
oh wait am i thinking about my grandma right now
but I'm a murderer
does that
i mean think of whatever you want
I mean
a lot of times I would channel real life
experience, you know, as long as it wasn't murder.
Right, because you're murdering days are way behind you.
Those are my past.
I ripped that rearview mirror off.
How do you personally define success now versus when you started?
Money.
Yeah, I thought so.
Stuff.
What's something you're still chasing creatively that you haven't nailed yet?
I do think that money is like, oh, this is an indication that you've done something.
Yeah.
Like, oh, you're, I was junk, but yeah, like.
Course valued.
But like, oh, I get to do this thing that I've always wanted to do and someone is paying me to do it.
That still shocks me.
But as far as, oh, airport lounge access?
I'm like, oh, I always get to go to the lounge.
And that I was like, I dreamt of that as a kid.
I would be like, look at it.
They're going into the special.
Really?
They're going into the special room that you're like, what is that?
That's Shangri-La.
I never go into the lounge.
I just, I don't like lounge to the lounge.
It's fine, but I kind of like, if I have, unless I have like three hours, but if I
have like an hour and a half, I'm not going to go to the lounge first.
I'll go to the lounge for 10 minutes.
You will, you love the lounge.
Yeah, and I drop a deuce just to.
Drop a deuce in the lounge, just to show him who's boss.
You know who I ran into the last time I was in a lounge was Christopher McDonald,
the great actor.
You should have him on.
He's great.
I've wanted to, and I did a movie with him, and I, he's a wonderful man.
Do you know him well?
We have gotten to know each other.
over the years.
Yeah. And he's just...
He was great to work with too.
He's really funny.
God, so good. Yeah, he really is.
And that's a guy who never really got a chance
as much as he's getting a chance now.
He's kind of pigeonholed, right?
And now he's getting these roles
and it's like, this guy's good.
So fucking good.
I remember him in Greece too when it came out.
I was just like, my attention
is being...
Goes to Michelle Pfeiffer and him.

we're going to have to pay for this song.
Will we?
I think so.
What's the best advice you ever ignored?
Somebody told you something you didn't listen and you should have.
Be careful.
Don't be stupid.
Maybe you're not ready for this triple black time and run.
Yeah.
Best advice.
Mine would be take care of yourself.
I don't really take care of myself as much as I should.
Yeah, I would have been.
agree. Maybe not another glass of wine. Yeah. That's, yeah. If I could just stop it too, then it would
be great. I'm glad I didn't, I don't have an addictive personality when it comes to like, you know,
pattering my nose and stuff like that. I'm glad I didn't get to. I'm glad I didn't get to
I'm glad I didn't do all that like excessively and like, you know. What do you mean powder your nose?
I mean cocaine. Oh, I literally thought you're like all that time in the makeup chair. No, no,
but I was like you know I just I always had that voice in my head saying you know this is okay you can do
this a couple times in your life but you're this is not something you're going to be doing oh yeah I'm trying
to think of wait that's advice you listen to yes so I completely change the question yeah yeah I remember this
guy goes I was I was young and he was like something about like oh I'm going to a bachelor party
and he's like you're going to go to a strip club and I'm like I bet they are and he was like
and then he goes no good will come of that and he goes i've been to a bunch and no good ever comes of it
and i was like oh it's seems right and then so i'm like yeah it seems like a bummer uh so anyway
i went to amsterdam i said that already right but i went to you had the greatest meal of
your life mac donalds but i went with my friends bill and andrea and my girlfriend jack and i wanted to see
the red light district yeah so i went up to these guys
guys are standing i go hey do you guys know where the red light district is these two dudes and they're like
why do you want to go there and i go i want to check it out yeah why i don't know because i'm curious
why do you why do you need to go there we just right in and they just yeah dude they just kept
going and finally i just go dude fuck off like they were being such such dicks and then they were kind
of following me a little bit like as you can
to go there is you know like i don't know if they were like on this is interesting and weird it's
weird i think they were on a mission were they wearing no short sleeve shirts and no but ties they're
like why do you want to go do that i go because i want to i think i at one point i said because i want to
check out some girls leave me alone who cares they weren't trying you didn't stumble on to be like
look we can just get you your cocaine if you want they were trying to make me think twice about it like
you don't need to see that these aren't the droids you're looking for kind of
thing. It's wrong. What you're doing is wrong and you should acknowledge that. And I'm like,
all I want to do is see it. Yeah. And did you find it? Hell yeah. Oh, I know what it is.
My, uh, oh, go ahead. No, go ahead. It doesn't matter. Uh, no, my mom, she said, like,
I played piano growing up for two years and I fucking hated it. And, and she said, all right,
well, you can quit, but just know, you will regret this. And I remember my, and I was not very old.
And I remember going like, I'm going to regret this and I regret it.
You regret it.
I was like, if I could sit down and play a piano.
I'd love if you were a pianist.
That'd be, I'd be so great.
I just wanted to say that.
I would love it if you could just get, just start whaling on fucking Elton John's goodbye
Yellowbrick Road.
No, can't even, can't, I can do hot cross buns.
That's about it.
And a little Irish jig.
Take it up to Montolingalengal.
God,
little to you.
Could you imagine just being able to sit down?
If I was,
my gift is my song and.
This one's for line.
You.
You.
Something your kids have said or done that completely checked your ego.
I already told you.
No?
How did that question?
How come we didn't?
No, no, no.
How can we never bonded, Dad?
Oh, that one.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's a good one.
Oh.
And then.
my so that was my older one my younger one was like hey dad what he was like when do you think you're
going to be on something relevant again oh what a dick your son's a dick they're both this
is your son richard mcale hey oh ray well i was like i've raised i've raised them i was like i was
like oh i this i grew up giving them shit and then there you go there this now it's coming back to
eldest said you always know the wrong thing to say at the worst time
and i was like yep yeah uh yeah what's you remember you remember the movie mr mom
yeah love mr mom and um michael keaton michael keaton and martin mole and um terry car
terry car tarry car and they martin mole there's there's a man that'll make me burst
out crying yeah what a wonderful person he was uh anyway
Anyway, there's that scene, for whatever this weird scene where they're picking up their kids at school because he's doing it for the first time.
And I think it's, Terry Gar just goes, you're doing it wrong.
And I just thought that's such a funny.
Such a great movie.

There's people that...

I get questions.
ass rapid fire. Raj, tell me about a time you felt vindicated. Pass. Elizabeth R. Pass. Abby and Mr. H.
No. Time I vindicated? Oh, the fact that I went into the entertainment world and it worked.
Because before I got on TV, people are like, oh, actor. This guy. Like this, like this guy's going to have,
like this guy's going to go act. And as soon as I got on TV, all those people were like, whoa. He did it.
This is, I remember someone's dad of, like some dad was like, I'm going to guess you're going to be end up doing a lot of things in your life.
Dude.
And I'm like, okay, well, I don't have any other plans.
I, this is after Smallville was already a hit.
Like a couple seasons.
You're famous and rich at this point.
I was making money.
I mean, compared to what I was making.
And I remember my grandmother's friend, she brought this other woman along with her.
And we were all hanging out.
And the woman was talking to me and goes, the acting industry, it's so hard.
So do you have something to fall back on if it doesn't work?
Are you doing anything right now?
And she was serious.
And I just said, I'm going to keep playing this game.
I'm going to keep playing.
I go, yeah, it's really hard.
And, you know, I'm doing my best.
And I just love it so much.
I'll do it until I die.
And she goes, well, you know, do you have a job, right?
So you're making money.
And you just kept on.
I kept on until I said, I'm rich.
She looked at me, she goes, what?
And I go, I'm not rich, but I'm on a show now.
And then I told her, but I really milked it.
She had no idea.
She had no idea.
But she was, and now she was concerned about me.
She was very word.
And I loved that.
I thought that was really sweet.
But it was like, I guess my grandmother didn't tell her.
The other thing that bids me off was that.
They think that Hollywood is just a,
a moral waste, just trash can of people that you're like, oh, you know, Hollywood.
And I'm like, you're fucking industry.
What the, like people.
I remember this new, this guy, he was like, can't believe.
I mean, you, I don't know how you survive it.
And I was like, you were in rehab.
You had a serious opioid addiction.
And I was like, what sad?
And so...
Yeah, Hollywood gets a bad rap.
I was like, five percent of the super famous people act badly.
There's no doubt.
And I was like, what that seems about the same as, you know, my hometown.
Elizabeth R. What do you do when you have a bad day?
Pop the wine open a four?
No, exercise.
Really, that gets you going.
Exercise, man.
What do you do?
Cardio, lift.
Lift.
And now my 18-year-old plays a lot of tennis.
So getting out and hitting a tennis ball.
Are you a good tennis player?
I am.
Invite me.
Are you good?
I'm part of the home tennis club.
Yeah, I play.
Oh, yeah, I'm good.
I played high school tennis.
I'm good.
I'm not amazing, but I'm good.
Yeah, I can hit it.
Let's go.
All right.
I love that.
I got a tennis court in my house.
Damn.
That, hear that, everyone?
Rich guy.
Thank you.
What's your worst tendency, asks Linda M.
Slouching?
Do you slouching?
Oh, my posture is terrible.
This is not.
I'm, as soon as you said that,
I was like, are you uncomfortable right now?
You look comfortable.
I'm very comfortable, but like on different shows, like if I have a brace,
it's like a brace from Amazon that pulls my shoulders back.
And I have that too.
And it works and it's exhausting and I take it off after.
It takes you back a little bit.
And I was like, my wife, Sarah, sits at, she'll be on the computer and she's sitting,
her back is so perfectly straight.
And I look like, Quasimoto.
Really?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Nico P, you and I are lifelong Seahawks fans.
Which of the two Seahawks Super Bowls wins was more satisfying in your opinion?
It's, again, hard to answer.
The first one was like euphoric because we had been to, we had played in Pittsburgh.
We played against the Steelers for the first time we went with Hasselbeck.
And literally, and look, Rothlisberger had a great team.
But literally the, literally the ref wrote a letter going.
going, I have to get this off my conscience before I die.
I made some terrible calls.
I was like, that does not happen.
Anyway.
Wow.
Then with Russell Wilson, that first one, it was, I remember thinking like, this is what heroin
feels like.
I am, that good.
I am, this is unnatural.
How so happy.
Like, I remember sitting on the plane the next day and we had to sit on the tarmac for like
six hours, just de-icing over and over again.
And I was like, I'm the richest man in the world.
And then this next, the next season.
The Patriots.
The Patriots was too, like that.
Devastating.
That is like losing a limb.
That was, that hurt.
That is the most, the last thing in the world that can happen was that play.
That.
It just didn't seem like that was in the cards that that could, that could be the difference.
Yeah.
I don't, I, the only thing that compares to it is when.
the Falcons lost to the Patriots after being up so much.
Yeah.
And I was like, oh, I feel there.
But then this season, because my 18-year-old is into it as much as I am, we were in the stands
and we want and we wept like babies.
And I remember thinking, this is, I was so happy.
We're both crying.
I'll cry again.
Do it.
Then I looked around and I'm like, are we the weird?
I would like this is father and son just weeping and I looked around everybody is weeping and I'm like
For all welcome to sports talk. Yeah, I'll tell you a lot when Tyree caught that ball and then
I think it was Manningham in the end zone the Giants came back and beat the Patriots I was there
I was there too
You were on the field. Oh yeah, you were for yeah I have the champagne bottle they gave us this as New York Giants champions
It was Don Perriano whatever and I kept it I was supposed to splash on the and you're like I said no
I know if I wrapped it in my sweatshirt and I kept it and that's there I have it I'll show it to you
how much for a glass of that I can't open it probably doesn't taste give anymore probably not house of
I'll give you a thousand dollars no it's worth more than that there's a number though right this is my
this is my this is my favorite game maybe just say what's the number okay uh house of villains house
of villains uh on now on now peacock the one percent club coming out and then uh you got your
crime scene kitchen that'll come out in this hall scene kitchen and then you got your uh animal control
And I'm gonna control. What season is this? Five. Five. So we're taping the season five on June 15th. Everybody's back. And we will be, I think we premiere in September. So what an exciting time for you. Just like you're doing everything. I'll, that's the name if I ever release. Another book. What an exciting time. No, just don't turn it. Just say yes. Don't turn down work. Just say yes. I'm like, I'm, I'm,
want to do it. I was like, yeah, I'll do it. I want to do it. I love doing it. I love it. And
scream seven, of course. Scream seven. And the bear, if you haven't seen it, you're in the Simpsons.
Yes. You've made it. That was it. When I saw the Simpsons thing as yourself. I couldn't believe it.
I mean, when that had, I was like, something. I've done something. That's when I, so when I'm,
when I'm down in the depths constantly, because I have such imposter syndrome badly. I go like,
And then I was like, you're in The Fucking Simpsons.
Hey, look at that.
You did it.
You somehow got there.
I said that about Mad Magazine when I was on the cover of Mad Magazine.
I thought, that's pretty cool, man.
That is so cool.
I was Alfredi Newman.
It was Lex and the Lana and the Clark.
And I was like, this is cool.
This is cool, man.
Life can be cool.
We're lucky.
Those mountaintops, when they happen, it's like, it's fucking A.
This is great.
Yeah.
And then, you know, there's the, there's the valleys where shit's happening and shit sucks and
shit's Creek.
Shit's Creek.
Have you ever seen that?
I've never seen it.
I've never seen it.
And everyone I know loves it.
Fucking loves it.
That's what you do when I don't want to see a show and everyone loves it.
And I know it must be a good show when, because when I'm in Canada, they're like, well, you know, we knew about that show before you guys.
And I was like, okay.
It's a Canadian-made show with Canadians.
Yeah, just saying that, you know, like, we knew about it first.
I was like, like people in Liverpool with the Beatles?
Good analogy.
Yeah, I mean, really, yeah, we were, I was like, good for you.
Thanks for being here.
Thank you for having.

That was, uh, it's always fun talking to him.
He's a good time.
I think I'll invite him over at least once a year for the podcast.
People want to see what he's up to.
He's fun.
We've got a lot of great podcasts coming up too.
He's always got a lot of stuff going on.
I thought it's not just the sitcom.
I'm not,
I'm not jealous of that.
I never want to work that much.
Like,
it is hard to get me to do anything.
I mean,
well,
because I'm doing a lot of,
you know,
I think I'm doing talk film,
I'm doing inside of you,
I'm working on this other thing.
I'm trying to get the HBO thing done.
There's a lot of,
a lot of stuff going on,
writing and,
you know,
but most of it goes nowhere.
So,
I'm just kidding.
