Not two.
But boom, three interviews this week.
Yesterday was Molina.
Now we've got Aaron Stevens and Question Mark.
And while I don't think we've seen Question Mark open up quite like he does in this interview.
I mean, this is some deep stuff.
This is some powerful stuff.
and you'll see exactly what I mean here.
What will the third interview of the week be, though?
Hmm.
I don't even know, to be honest, at this point.
I have nine interviews recorded, edited, and ready to go.
So we'll be dropping those over the next several weeks.
Then I'm also leaving for Las Vegas this weekend
where I'm going to be attending the Impact Wrestling taping.
So let me know who I should interview there.
We'll get even more interviews edited and ready to go.
Yeah, I'm trying to think.
There's so many that we can do.
Sam McAllen for sure.
We'll definitely do Sam McAllen.

This review comes all the way from Australia.
And I know that because the title is Australian fan.
This is from Ozzy Fan Jack.
Writing all the way from Australia, Chris Van Vleet epitomizes professionalism,
along with the heart of every wrestling fan, asking the questions we all wish we could ask ourselves to the stars of today, as well as the stars we grew up watching.
Chris, the amount of travel you do for the show as well as the time you put together for all this deserves admiration.
Currently, about to train for Tolks Folle's Dojo.
Hopefully one day you'll interview me.
from Australia to the States, we thank you.
Well, I thank you, Ozzie Fanjack,
and looking forward to interviewing you
after you're all trained up and ready to go.
So please keep those reviews coming.
You may remember the first interview I did with Aaron Stevens,
aka Damien Sandow, early last year.
In the interview, he explained why he didn't want to return to wrestling
after he was released by WWE in 2016.
He said he was done with it.
He had moved on.
He was now pursuing his acting career.
And, you know, since then, he's had a very successful acting career.
You've seen him in a few network TV shows.
But it was actually the response from you guys to that interview that brought him back to pro wrestling.
How crazy is that?
And also, how powerful is that?
That it was you guys that brought him back.
He personally told me that when I saw him at NWA where we did this interview in Atlanta.
And, I mean, come on.
There really isn't anyone out there who's as original and,
off the wall with their character work quite like Aaron Stevens or Damien Sandow is.
And I think that we're all glad to see him back in NWA under his real name, which is Aaron Stevens.
And these days he's teaming up with his sensei in Mongrovian karate.
I mean, sorry.
Karate.
Yeah, his sensei question mark.
And this interview is priceless.
You're going to enjoy it.
So please kick back.
relax and enjoy this chat with Aaron Stevens and question mark what's pleasure to be joined by
Aaron Stevens and question mark gentlemen how are you lovely thank you how are you
how are you what is oh yes you know before we start this interview I just want to preface it
something in case you haven't been watching NWA power which you all should the question
Mark is my
sensei in karate
karate
exactly
he hails
from the nether regions
of Mongrovia
which we met
on the set of one of my movies
Shogun in Malibu he was the
fight coordinator and I brought him
here to the NWA to kind of
watch my back help me out and we are
getting him accustomed to
you know just Western culture in general
he actually he can understand
English completely
Absolutely. Yes.
Oh, so you know what I'm saying right now?
Ah.
But what's happened?
See, the Mongrobian language, they only use a certain portion of their vocal cords.
So to articulate, he has a rough time.
When we have him in speech classes, he's learning, you know, and doing a very good job,
but at times he will answer in Mongrovean and I will be the one that translates.
But again, he can understand everything you're saying.
He's a very capable, capable of human being and a 10th degree black belt.
Mongrovia and karate.
Wow.
Hey, aye, aye, y, karate.
As he says.
Karate.

BetOnline, your online sports book experts. Yeah. Aaron, how's your time in NWA been so far?
Well, it's been wonderful. You know, again, this company, it's taken an old school template,
and it's applied, you know, the modern flare to it, like where the wrestling industry is headed.
But then when you have the template of the, you know, having that studio wrestling setting,
it just has a nostalgic feel, but modern day thrills and excitement, as I say.
And, you know, personally, it's been wonderful.
I have what was formerly the NWA national title, but I don't know if you know what this is.
Can you guess what this is?
A black belt.
It is not just a black belt.
Sorry.
These are three stripes.
Third degree black belt?
Excellent, excellent, excellent.
Each stripe is a degree.
Therefore, I am a third degree black belt.
And not only am I a third degree black belt,
I am professional wrestling's first ever third degree champion,
and I have the stripes to prove it.
How could you possibly lose?
You can't.
I don't know who could beat you.
Well, I mean, that's to be to say, but I will say this.
This man, he is a 10th degree black belt.
This man is a deadly weapon.
And I don't know if you've watched the episode that we actually did a karate demonstration.
The techniques were just unprecedented.
And I think it's already saved, what, five people's lives?
Aye.
So it really is amazing.
With someone with the technical ability that you have and the training that you have, both of you,
I imagine that your hands have to be registered as weapons.
Not so much the hands, but just the mind.
You know, as one thing I have learned in karate.
Okay.
Karat.
Exactly.
Is that the mind, it governs all the faculties of the body, right?
Including the response system, you know what I mean, the central nervous system.
So the mind is a registered weapon in Mongrobian.
Karate.
Yes.
Karate.
So how could someone like me who has no experience in karate?
Karate.
How could me or some of the viewers, how could we help strengthen our own minds?
Well, it's funny you ask.
Actually, Sensei question mark is really considering opening up a dojo.
and for $99 a week,
you two can learn the secrets of
Mongroby and karate.
Carate.
Exit.
I join me.
Av noza me.
He welcomes you to go join
and if you sign up,
you will get the top of your karate suit for free.
You only have to buy the pants in the belt.
But you start at a white belt.
You don't start at a third-degree black belt.
We all know that.
You can understand what the question mark is saying.
Yes, yes.
No, I had to become fluent mongrobian.
But again, you know, that's just adding to the cornucopia.
That is my talent.
Is there anything you can't do?
Lose, apparently.
I guess so.
Yeah.
Which opponents are you looking forward to facing here in the NWA?
Well, see, you know what?
My opponent is the same that it always has been.
My opponent is ignorance.
my opponent is lack of education.
And in terms of actually getting in the ring and mixing it up, as they say,
it really doesn't matter.
As a matter of fact, I barely have time for that.
I mean, look, I love defending this title.
It really does mean the world to me.
But again, I have a much bigger mission to enlighten people.
Like I said, the karate.
Sorry.
Demonstration.
Of course.
that we did, again, saved a number of lives already,
educated to people.
You know, look, every time I go to that interview desk,
the ratings just spike.
Of course they do.
You can see, you know, we actually,
YouTube had a problem, I believe,
that the server almost crashed.
There were so many people wanting to hear what I have to say.
And it's because, again, every time I speak,
people walk away better human beings.
And the world is better off.
So yeah, that's what we're doing.
But again, you know, yeah, there'll be opponents
and this and that, but eyes on the prize.
as we say. Is there some advice that you would give to the people watching and listening this right now?
Again, you know what? Just remember that the mind is the most powerful weapon. You know, third degree
black belts, they're not just given to anyone. You really, really have to know what you're doing.
So, you know, anything that you may see, Sensei question mark or myself do on television, do not
attempt those techniques at home because they are extremely, extremely dangerous.
Do you think we might be seeing some more karate, sorry, demonstrations in the future?
You never know. It depends on what the public's ready for. And we're just going to have to wait
and see. 2020 is going to be a very, very exciting year. I mean, we're just getting started here
in the NWA. And look, we've already had the first ever third degree champion in the history of
professional wrestling. It doesn't get any better than that. Wow. Well, question mark.
Aaron Stevens, I feel enlightened just after this conversation.
You know what? You're welcome.
Hey, you see how you karate.
By the power vested in him as the number one karate man in the world.
You're welcome.
Well, there it is short, but oh, so sweet.
And I can't believe we got that much out of question, Mark.
Such an in-depth interview.
But I think the huge takeaway here,
is that it's great to have the incredibly talented Aaron Stevens back in pro wrestling.
I know that I miss seeing him in action.
And if you're listening to this, I imagine that you miss seeing him in action too.
How good was he as Damien Mizdao?
That gimmick was incredible.
Although I feel like the payoff at the end just wasn't quite done right.
And you should probably go back and listen to the full interview that I did with Damien Sandow.
Or you can watch it on YouTube.
he really dives in to everything that went right in his time in WWE
and everything that went wrong in his time in WWE.
Because he was the first to win the money in the bank briefcase
and not,
well,
not,
I mean,
when he cashed it in,
he didn't win.
And for him to not successfully cash in,
I think is just so heartbreaking.
When you're told you're going to be the money in the bank winner,
you're just like,
okay, great.
I'm going to be the world champion eventually.
and it just didn't happen for him.
But I'm so glad to see him back in wrestling,
and I want to say thank you for helping to bring him back into wrestling.
Thank you for the response that you gave him after the first interview that we did,
that outpouring of love and admiration for him that brought him back.
And NWA is such a perfect fit for him as he continues to do this crazy, silly, goofy, hilarious work there.
So, man, I said it before.
I'll say it again. It's just so great to see him back.
Ralph Waldole Emerson famously said to be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.
And I think that that goes so well for Aaron Stevens.
So this is interview number two of three that we're dropping this week.
This is interview number three of six NWA interviews that I did in Atlanta.
Oh, man, so much content.
So many interviews.
so make sure you subscribe so you don't miss out on any more of these.
Woo!
Jim Rome takes on sports.
Why? Because I have a job to do.
With rapid fire takes.
So I don't want to hear from you lava pigs on this notion today.
