Chris
The
Oh, welcome back to
another one
here on InSight.
I'm CVV,
Chris Van Fleet.
How you doing?
Happy Friday.
We made it.
Thank you for spending
a little bit of your Friday with me
on an Ask CVV episode.
And thank you for making
insight the number one
wrestling podcast on the planet.
Hit the Shining Wizard
on that follow button
on Apple or Spotify
or wherever you're listening.
Deep cut.
The Shining Wizard. If you know the Shining Wizard, I've got a high five waiting for you. Also,
share this episode or share any interview that you've ever enjoyed with a friend, and they can be on this wild ride with us together.
We are now officially one week away from Insight Live, the sold out Insight Live in Chicago, Illinois next Friday, the day before Elimination Chamber.
The guest will officially be announced on social media later today.
But since you're a real one, since we hang out together every single Friday, I'll let you in on this before everybody else.
Our guest for Insight Live next Friday in Chicago is Chicago's own.
Mustafa Ali, he'll be joining me on stage, and man, he has some incredible stories.
If you heard him on the show last year, you know that he has seen it all.
And he is hilarious, so I can't wait to see you guys in Chicago for that.
Like I mentioned, the Chicago show is sold out.
But there are still tickets available for Insight Live at Circa Resort and Casino, Las Vegas.
The Thursday of WrestleMania Week, grab those tickets at CVVVTX.com.
That's CVV-T-I-X.com.
Welcome, my friend, to ask CVV number one, two, three kid.
addition. Also, Ask CVV number one, two, three, ring that bell, ding, ding, ding, ding.
If you've got an idea for next week, Ask CVV-124, we've had so many requests, so many questions come in through the form, through the contact form on the newly revamped chris fanfleet.com.
That may end up being like the main way that questions come in for the show. Like, I think it's
It's like, we still get questions via email.
We still get questions on Instagram and Facebook.
But I'd say it's like 10 to 1, 20 to 1.
So, and of course, Spotify comments, those are always great too.
I love seeing the comments on Spotify.
So if you have a question for next week or an idea for what Ask CVV-124 is going to be
124, send them in using all of those methods.
An email.
CVV at chris fanfleet.com.
the contact form, the very popular contact form at chris fanfleet.com.
Send it on social media with that hashtag Ask CVV.
Or, of course, as always, leave a comment on Spotify.
And also, if you are listening on Spotify right now, leave the word, yeah, with as many
E's, A's and H's as you want.
Yeah, you know we'll be talking about him.
I feel like we say L, A, Knight, yeah, during every single episode.
so it seems fitting. We got so many questions here. This might have been a record for the most
amount of questions, so we're going to dive into as many of these as we can. We'll kick this off
with a hot topic here. This one's from Omar Sanchez on Facebook who says,
Hey, CVV, a real, real one here. Who do you think is in the wooden crate? Or what do you think
is in the wooden crate? I'm personally having a hard time with this. I don't necessarily think
it's a person. I'd like to hear your take on it. Thank you for being a pleasant voice in my ears while I work.
I make sure to listen every Friday and appreciate all of your content. Maybe since the episode is
one, two, three, you'll consider doing the one, two, three into the foe. Snoop Doggy Dog and Dr. Dre is
that the Dow edition. Since Snoop Dogg has ties to WWE, Omar, thank you. And you're right,
Snoop Dog is a
WWE Hall of Famer, so that seems
very fitting.
Had a lot of people asking about
the wooden crate, the wooden box
here that we saw on Raw.
And it just makes me think of that
final scene in the movie seven.
Oh, what's in the box?
Oh, what's in the box?
Brad Pitt with that stellar delivery.
But it's a great question.
What is in the box?
I firmly
believe it's a person.
Is it a return?
is it a debut?
I guess we'll find out on February 28th
at Elimination Chamber.
Let's go through some of the possibilities here.
Is Chris Jericho in the box?
That seems like the most likely thing here.
It also kind of ties in to when he was Y2J
made his WWE debut in 1999
with the countdown here.
It's not a countdown yet.
Maybe this could turn into a countdown,
but the fact that like when that countdown started
in 1999 before Chris Jericho,
co-made his WWF debut,
we had a date.
Like, you were able to do the math and go,
oh, okay, that's the date that we're going to find out
what this countdown leads to.
Well, now we've got 228, 26.
That's what's on the box here.
Elimination Chamber.
So we know something's going to happen at Elimination Chamber.
And I don't feel like they do a reveal like this
with, it would be two weeks of, like, lead up to it
if it's just going to be something that, like,
has really no payoff.
is it Chris Jericho?
That would be my guess right now.
That one feels like if Chris Jericho is coming to WWE and making his return,
this feels like a good way to like build up the anticipation.
I would guess maybe we get some more hints tonight on Smackdown
because Adam Pierce was like, hey, send this thing over to Nick Aldus on Smackdown and let him deal with it.
So Nick Aldous is going to have a segment with this box.
Maybe he then bounces it back to Adam.
Pierce, so then we see that again on Monday, and then maybe Pierce sends it back to Nick Aldis,
so then we get like four segments, two weeks of buildup to what this thing could be.
The other one that is a real possibility is what if this is the debut of Danhausen?
We don't know what Dan House's status with AEW is.
We don't know if his contract is up or whether he's still under contract there.
What we do know is that we haven't seen Danhausen in AEW.
since December 30th,
20203.
That was the last appearance
that he made
in a match in AEW.
So whether he's under contract
or not there,
that is certainly something
that we don't know
yet.
We don't know the details of that.
But this feels like
it could be a good way
to tease Danhausen
and maybe over the next few weeks,
that will end up
kind of leading,
giving us some hints
and leading to what that could be.
I also saw some speculative,
of like, what if this isn't a person at all? And then like I said, I think this is a person,
but you even hinted at that, Omar, like, what if, what if this isn't a person? I saw someone
that was saying, like, what if this is just a WWE 2K promo? What if this is just like,
don't open this until February 28th and it turns out to just be like an additional cover or
some sort of promo for 2K26? I don't see that being the case here. I don't think you'd have two weeks
of buildup just for this to be a commercial spot. Also, 2K26 comes out two weeks after that,
comes out March 13th. I feel like even with early access, the people who bought the premium
additions, they can't start playing the game until March 6th. I don't feel like the 28th lines up
to be a 2K promo. I've also seen some speculation of like, what if this is the return of someone
who's been out with an injury, like say Kevin Owens. I even saw speculation about it being
Bianca Bel Air, although I feel like that has now been shut down.
If you saw the photos this week, she had surgery on that injured finger, which is crazy.
That was injured almost a year ago.
That was injured last April at WrestleMania 41 in that insane three-way match.
So that triple threat match caused the injury, and she hasn't wrestled since, unless she's
working us, unless the surgery happened months ago and she's just posting photos of it now,
which I suppose is a possibility,
but we don't know.
But I just think that it's going to be
one of those two options.
I have no actual...
I'm not going on anything here,
but it just seems to me,
like either one of those,
Chris Jericho or Danhausen,
makes the most sense to me.
But then we get in this situation, though,
where your expectations are at a certain level.
So then, and this happened with the Royal
Royal Rumble recently. Your expectations are like, all right, if it's not this person or in terms
of the Royal Rumble, if this person doesn't return, well, then this thing sucks. So like, the
expectation is now set of like, all right, well, the payoff here has to be one of these
debut slash returns. So I'm very curious to see not only what the unveiling is here, but also
how. Like, is this part of a match? Is this part of a backstage segment?
At Elimination Chamber, I'm curious because think back last year to Elimination Chamber.
There was build up to this segment with The Rock and Cody Rhodes and the selling your soul.
And it's like, you're putting a talking segment in Elimination Chamber?
Like at the Elimination Chamber, PLE, that's kind of strange.
And then we saw what the payoff was and why that made sense.
So I'm curious how the box gets integrated in all of it.
of this. Is it out there next to the elimination chamber during that match? Is it a backstage segment
where it's like, oh, look, there's a countdown now the box is going to open or the crate's going
open? It'll be interesting to see how that all plays out. Speaking of surprises, I love that we have
two surprises right now that have people talking between who's in the box, what's in the box,
and the masked man, it became pretty apparent this week.
on Raw, who the masked man is.
And like we talked about last week,
seems pretty clear that it's
Grayson Waller. Like all signs
point to that, especially after some
internet sleuths combed
through that fan footage of the
mask man running up into the crowd.
And I just feel like
they gave him this particular mask
on purpose.
This mask with the big mouthhole
cut out, like they could have done
a mask where it's just eye holes.
And they didn't for whatever
reason. It would have been much harder to tell who it was. It would have been like a true secret.
You'd just be going off of like movements and like, oh, that guy kind of looks tallish and,
oh, he kind of has the build of like this person or that person. But the mouth opening,
I feel like that was kind of done intentionally. The big question, though, is it actually going to
be Grayson Waller when we get the unmasking? Because what if, this is purely hypothetical, but
What if he's just all, he's doing all of Seth Rollins moves because Seth Rollins isn't medically cleared yet.
And then when Seth Rollins is medically cleared and he can compete again, it will actually be Seth Rollins taking off the mask.
It's a possibility here.
Or, or, spoiler alert, if you haven't seen the movie, although it was 30 years ago.
What if this is like a scream situation where there's more than one masked person?
that's also a possibility here.
But again, I like that there's a few things right now
that are keeping us guessing.
Roger Pacheco on Instagram says,
I have a question for the Ask CVV number one,
two out of three falls match edition.
Last week, you discussed the possibility
of a triple threat match at WrestleMania
for the undisputed title between Drew McIntyre,
Cody Rhodes, and Jacob Faw too.
Hmm, it's true, I did.
Do you think we're going to go in the same direction with CM Punk, Roman Raines, and Finn Baller?
I've been wondering about the possibility of two triple threat matches for the men's titles at WrestleMania since you mentioned it last week.
Baller even said on Raw this week that he wasn't jeopardizing the WrestleMania main event.
He was making it better.
What do you think about that?
I think that what CM Punk or what Finn Baller was referring to with not jeopardizing the WrestleMania main event making it better was
he'd be making it better by replacing CM Punk.
And then it would be Finn Baller versus Roman Raines.
That's how I interpreted it.
That's how I think he was delivering this of like,
I'm not jeopardizing.
I'm going to make it better.
And he's going to make it better by CM Punk
not being the champion anymore.
I still feel like the World Heavyweight Championship match
is going to be one-on-one.
CM Punk versus Roman Raines is a huge match.
And I think that if they were to do anything to this match,
especially after they've already been building up to it,
to change it, I just feel like there'd be a lot of backlash online.
I know I'm excited to see CM Punk versus Roman Raines.
I know a lot of people are excited about it.
I don't think that match needs anything else.
But I don't know how we're going to get to this WWE championship match.
Drew McIntyre versus who.
And I feel like at Elimination Chamber,
there's a chance.
I'm not saying it's going to happen,
but I'm saying there's a chance
we don't get a clear winner.
Like, there's a chance
Drew McIntyre goes in
and just cleans house.
And it could lead to a triple threat match,
maybe even a four-way match,
at WrestleMania.
And I'm just really interested
to see how that one shakes out.
We talked weeks ago about, like,
is Drew McIntyre going to be the
WWE champion,
going into WrestleMania.
Like, is there going to be,
and there was talk about,
maybe it's Cody Rhodes
versus Drew McIntyre
at Elimination Chamber
and Drew McIntyre's putting
the title on the line.
Well, we know now
that Drew McIntyre's not
putting the title on the line.
As it stands,
of course, lots of things
can change,
but as it stands right now,
Drew McIntyre
doesn't have any title defenses
between now and WrestleMania.
This is the last PLE
before WrestleMania 42,
but that doesn't really
mean anything, especially when we've been seeing both the WWE title and the World
Heavyweight Championship being defended on Raw or Smackdown or both. But I'm, I just, I look at this,
the men's elimination chamber match, and we'll look at both of them. I just don't see a clear
winner in either of them. Let's look at the men's one first. We've got Randy Orton
versus Al A. Knight, Al, versus Cody Rhodes, versus Javon, who I can't wait to see,
him do something crazy in Elimation Chamber versus the winner of Carmelo Hayes, Damian Priest,
and Tric Williams, which is happening tonight on Smackdown.
And then that last spot's going to be determined on Raw.
It's Bronson Reed versus Jay Uso versus the original El Grande Americano.
So we've got Randy Orton, L.A. Knight, Cody Rhodes, and Javon,
who's going to win this match on Smackdown tonight?
Carmelo, Damien Priest,
Trick Williams, I could see Trick Williams
with all the momentum behind him.
I could see him winning that.
And then who takes that last spot?
Bronson Reed, Jay Uso, or the original El Grande Americano?
Man, how great would it be to see
that jacked original El Grande Americano
win that?
Oh, would love that.
But Bronson Reed or Jay Uso here,
I feel like makes more sense.
If we look at the match as a whole,
Cody Rhodes feels like the favorite, but I just, I love how unpredictable this is.
I think Cody Rhodes is part of the WWE championship match at WrestleMania, but I just get the
feeling it's not just him. And things are going to be a little funny. I think we're going
to get an interesting finish in that men's match. On the women's side, it's interesting because
as of right now, we don't have the official opponent for Liv Morgan. Like, it's pretty clear.
It's going to be Love Morgan versus Stephanie Vicar.
All signs point to that, but there hasn't been like an official declaration of like, hey, I choose you.
I won the Royal Rumble.
It's going to be me versus you.
Although I feel like that's just a matter of time.
Maybe that's next week on Raw or something like that.
But the women's chamber match.
We've got Tiffany Stratton versus Ria Ripley versus Alexa Bliss versus Oskirts, here's a match we're going to see tonight on Smackdown.
The winner of this is going to be Charlotte Flair, Keanu James, Naya Jacks.
and then the final spot will be determined on Raw,
Eoske, Kyrie Seine, and Raquel Rodriguez.
So Jade Cargill, we're assuming, versus who?
Who wins this match?
Really, any of them make sense.
I think you could make a real strong case for Jade Cargill
versus Rio Ripley, Jade Cargill versus Tiffany Stratton,
Jade versus Oskia, Jade versus Oskia,
would be fantastic.
If Charlotte Flair wins the match tonight on Sparrowe,
Smackdown, which I would guess she would.
Jade versus Charlotte Flair.
And then Eoskeye, Kyrie Sane, Raquel on Monday.
I would think Eoskei wins that.
Eoskei versus Jade, that could make sense.
I just appreciate how like it's not like so,
it's not a clear picture of like, all right,
this is this is kind of where we're going with this one.
It's really up in the air.
And I just, I can't predict this right now.
Maybe after a few more episodes, we'll have a clear picture, but I appreciate it.
I like it.

Time's ticking.
I think you can feel the intensity.
All the guys are wanting to really take their claimant.
and they want to be on that World Cup roster.
There's no doubt about it.
Hosting the World Cup on the home soil comes with its pressures,

Nick Thorpe on Spotify says,
What's up, CVV?
Was MJF in character during that interview?
I couldn't tell.
Well, Nick, I think that's the beauty of MJF.
I think the beauty is how much he towed that line
between what's real and what's K-Fabe.
And I think that that's why he's one of the best characters right now.
I think that's why he's so good on the mic,
because you can't quite tell where the character ends
or where Max the person ends
and where the other part of him begins.
I don't know.
I think there were certainly parts of that
where we saw the character,
and I think there were definitely,
parts of that, maybe more than any interview he's ever done, where we saw, like, who the man is
behind that character. And then he quickly snapped back into, like, the character stuff again.
But I love how blurred those lines are. It's one of my favorite interviews I've done in a while.
And if you haven't watched it yet, or if you haven't listened to it yet, I can't recommend it
enough. It already has almost 500,000 views on YouTube. So obviously, you guys are enjoying this
one as well. And thank you for, thank you for enjoying it as much as I enjoyed sitting there
during that. And I just appreciate that there was no room service that knock, knock, knock,
you know, interrupted, interrupted our interview this time around. This one came in on
Chrisfanbleet.com from Jared Kennington, who says, oh, maybe you're right. Not Jared.
from Perth, Australia, a certified real, real one.
We were heartbroken that you didn't make it to crown jewel in Australia.
I was heartbroken too.
We were ready to adopt you for the week.
Sina versus Stiles was a chef's kiss.
Absolutely.
What a match.
My brother-in-law are flying into Las Vegas for our first ever WrestleMania.
Bucketless stuff from literally the other side of the world.
We've got VIP tickets to see you during Mania Week
and cannot wait to officially level up to real, real, real, real, real, real, real, real ones.
That's right.
I've created a whole new level for people who are the VIPs at the live shows.
Real, real, real, real, real ones.
What's the one thing that first-timers don't realize about WrestleMania Week until they are there in it?
We will see you in Las Vegas and can't wait to see who your guest is.
Well, man, I'm pumped to meet you in Vegas, and I love that you are crossing this off the bucket list.
and go into your first ever,
WrestleMania.
I think one of the biggest things
that people don't realize
is how much is going on
around the city.
Like, yes, there's WWE World.
There's Smackdown and Hall of Fame,
and of course,
two nights of WrestleMania,
and then Monday after,
the Raw after WrestleMania,
but there's so much other stuff.
So, like, give yourself some time
to take in some indie matches,
go to RussellCon,
like, take it all in.
There is so much,
especially in Las Vegas.
And I've said this before,
but I appreciate how in Vegas,
things aren't like spread out.
Like, it's all there within a few mile radius.
Like, you're never further than a
10-minute Uber ride away from, like, one event to another
or wherever you're staying on the strip to wherever the event is.
And I just appreciate that because some cities are like super spread out.
Like, L.A. was like that for WrestleMania 39.
New York was like that for
WrestleMania 29 and 35
where it's like,
you've got an event in Brooklyn,
or you're doing something in Brooklyn,
you're staying in Brooklyn,
but then
WrestleMania itself isn't even in New York.
WrestleMania itself is all the way,
if you're staying in Brooklyn,
all the way through Manhattan,
across into New Jersey,
and then you're at MetLife Stadium.
I just think that it's really cool in Vegas
how everything's all there.
going to be, there's pop-up events, all of that stuff. But I think the one thing that people really
don't realize, and I didn't realize this until I went to my first WrestleMania, is the city
gets taken over by wrestling fans. Like from the second you land at the airport, you're seeing
wrestling signs and posters and advertisements in the airport, you're seeing all kinds of fellow
wrestling fans, you've seen wrestling t-shirts as you're walking around the
the airport or you're waiting for your bag or you're waiting for the Uber. And like, that's a cool
thing to know that like you're just among other people who are there experiencing the same
thing that you are. And then it turns in a conversation of like, oh, where'd you fly in it from?
Oh, my gosh, that's so cool. Oh, this is your first WrestleMania? Well, that's amazing. This is my
fourth WrestleMania. Did we just become best friends? Yep. So I think that's one of the things that
you don't realize is for everybody that's going to WrestleMania,
for the, however many people are in the stadium each night,
60, 70,000 people,
there's tens of thousands of other people that just come into the city
for everything that goes on around WrestleMania.
Like, for example, my live show that Thursday night that I will see you at.
So I think that's it.
Like, just take it all in, enjoy it.
And there's, also don't, like, it's real easy to get overwhelmed.
Just pick a few events that you're interested,
pick a few indie shows or whatever it is
that you're interested, and do it.
And like, have the best time with this.
Another one from chrisfanbley.com.
This is from Bruce Ondalus.
I love it.
Hey, Chris, at this time of the message,
the W.WE Hall of Fame class of 2026
only has one inductee announced.
It's Stephanie McMahon.
Thoughts online is that Stephanie is the head,
liner and John Sina won't be part of this year's class. But do you think that's the case?
What other names would you like to see going to the Hall of Fame class of 2026?
If John Sina is not going in this year, I think he's going in next year because they have big plans
for WrestleMania 43. I think they're going to pull out all the stops for WrestleMania 43.
And John Sina being inducted at WrestleMania 43 means that John Sina will be there in Saudi Arabia
guaranteed and he'll be doing stuff
in the days leading up to the Hall of Fame induction.
I'm with you.
I think that John Cena gets inducted next year.
If AJ Stiles is actually retired,
and I think it's a pretty great thing,
and this is what I love about pro wrestling,
that we don't actually have the answer on this.
If AJ is actually retired,
I think AJ headlines the class of 2026.
whenever he decides that he's officially done,
and we still don't know, right?
Want to take the gloves off,
put them back on,
what does that mean?
We still don't, in storyline,
have an answer to that,
but if AJ's done for real,
I think AJ Styles gets inducted.
But then again, there's examples
of people who have been inducted
while they're still active.
Ray Mysterio is the main example of that.
Why not induct A.J.
Stiles, especially if we're going along with this idea that he's retired and maybe he's not,
if that does end up being a storyline.
But AJ Stiles, I think, would headline this year.
And if AJ doesn't headline this year, if John Cena headlines this year, then A.J.
headlines next year.
But you've got two locks for, I would think, the next, if not this Hall of Fame, the next two
Hall of Fame, for sure.
Who else?
We went through this list maybe about a month and a half ago.
I think demolition goes in as the tag team.
Like there's typically a tag team that goes in.
I know they had their legal issues with Vince McMahon,
but that was in the past.
If Lex Lugar could get inducted,
if Ultimate Warrior could get inducted,
I feel like Axe and Smash need to get inducted.
It is long, long overdue.
I mean, what, they've inspired so many tag teams.
The fact that we're sitting here and talking about demolition
and they're not in the Hall of Fame,
it just doesn't make a lot of sense.
If we're talking about a posthumous induction,
Sid Vicious, I think would make a lot of sense
after his untimely death.
Mickey James.
It's just a matter of time for Mickey James to go in,
whether that's this year, next year, the year after that,
whenever.
Like, it's not a matter of if Mickey James is getting inducted.
It's a matter of when.
When's that going to happen?
Maybe it's this year.
Batista was announced
in the class of 2020,
but things obviously
got thrown off
because of the pandemic.
There's another headliner.
Is that this year?
Is that next year?
Is that the year after that,
things are going to have to line up
with schedules?
But Batiste is still like
in this like weird flux
of like he was announced
as a Hall of Famer,
but not inducted yet.
And I asked him about this
when I interviewed him
for the movie The Killers game,
which Drew McIntyre is also in,
and he said, yes, he's still going to go in,
they've got to figure out of time.
So is that going to happen?
Is China going to finally get a posthumous induction?
Like, she's very clearly a Hall of Famer.
I know there's, like, some things there they've got to, like,
figure out and work through.
Do they want her to be inducted in the Hall of Fame?
But she's, whether they inductor or not,
Hall of Fame career without question.
Hardy boys are going to go in.
in at some point in time, I don't think that's yet. I don't think you'd put them in while they're still
as active as they are, but, you know, that one's just a matter of time. I think there's a lot.
And then when we talk about matches, because there's another opportunity to see two legends up
on stage, there's so many matches that will eventually go in. And if they're only going to do
one a year, every single year, they're going to have an endless list. Like, they're never going to run
out of epic matches to induct.
But if they're going to induct a match this year,
and I am just blindly throwing the dart at the dartboard here,
because there's so many.
And whatever match they decide to put in is going to be more than deserving.
Brett versus Stone Cold at WrestleMania 13 being inducted last year,
oh my gosh, of course, what a match.
I would think maybe Undertaker versus Sean Michaels,
WrestleMania 25, and there's another excuse to put Undertaker on stage,
another excuse to put Sean Michaels on stage.
Just another excuse for them to be part of this
and see two legends together.
And for all of us to just watch that match again
and talk about how, man, damn near perfect that match was,
I think I'm actually really interested
what the match is going to be
because there's so many different ways
that they could go with that one.
But I'm curious, here we are,
and there's less than two months to go to WrestleMania,
and we still don't have.
more than one person in there.
Stephanie McMahon right now.
And also shout out to Stephanie McMahon.
She is crushing it on her podcast.
What's your story?
Amazing, amazing interviews.
Jesse Burton on Facebook says,
CVV, what's up?
I heard you talking with Kit Wilson about Titan Trons,
and you said that only Kit and Logan Paul have them currently.
But what about Joe Hendry?
Also, L-A Knight, yeah, has one.
and so does Ray Mysterio.
A lot of people had comments like this
when I posted that short,
that reel with Kit Wilson
talking about Titan Trons.
And I think if you really break it down,
the only person who has a true
attitude-era Titan-Tron
is Logan Paul.
And I think that anybody that's saying
L.A. Knight has a Titan-Tron
or Ray Mysterio has a Titan-Tron,
with great respect to you,
you were not watching during
the attitude era, like, and seeing what true Titan-Tron's were.
Like, take a few minutes today and go look at Triple H is my time, Titan-Tron.
Look at Stone Colds, Titan-Tron, look at the Rocks, Titan-Tron.
Look at literally any Titan-Tron from that era, and you'll see it's not just like their name
on the screen.
It's like a highlight reel of some of their most iconic moments or them, like, looking
at the camera menacingly or just like a back, like, a back, like,
a lot of Triple H's stuff was like just a backstage thing with great lighting and him like
staring at the camera. That's a true Titan Tron. And when you look at what Logan Paul has right now,
it is like a Titan Tron ripped right out of like 1999. Kit Wilson's is real close. And that's
why I was talking to him about like you've got like a Titan Tron and I like in the same way that
Logan Paul does. I love L.A. Knight. Love him. And I have known him for,
years. He does not have a Titan Tron. He has a thing where his name and his logo come up on the screen
and it just flashes in different colors and the word, yeah, pops up. That's not a Titan Tron.
Ray Mysterio does not have a Titan Tron. It's just a bunch of just cuts of his mask. It's not a Titan Tron.
Like when we're talking about classic Titan Trons, go back and look at them from 98, 99, 2000, 2001.
Like that era, those are what Titan-Trons look like.
I don't know what you want to call the thing that is behind the superstars they're walking out.
Yes, I suppose technically, actually, yeah, I suppose technically they are still called Titan-Tron's.
But when it's just their name and like there's a little effect like flashing around on the screen, it's not a Titan-Tron.
Call it a, I don't even know what you'd want to call it, but it's not.
a true Titan Tron. We're talking about like in the sense of the word of how it, how they were during
that era. And I'm just really curious. I would love to know the story behind Logan Paul's Titan Tron
because that feels intentional to me. That doesn't feel like someone just threw this together and
went, hey, here's a thing. I feel like Logan Paul went, hey, let's put this thing together.
and I want to have like a classic Titan Tron.
So I saw a lot of the well-actually crowd commenting on that,
and we got a few messages about this.
We're talking about like the true definition of what those look like,
the highlight real style titan trons.
Logan Paul's is really the only actual one.
Kit Wilson's is real close.
and then Joe Henry's, like you said.
Yeah, Joe Henry is a music video.
And Joe Henry has had that same music video for like five or six years.
And yeah, I suppose it's kind of a Titan Tron, but it's definitely a music video.
It's like go back and look at what the Titan Trons look like.
I love Joe Henry.
You know that I love Joe Henry.
Say his name and he appears.
But it's a music.
music video. It's a great music video. I love it, but it's music video. It's not a Titan Tron.
Peter Chu on Spotify says, CVV, how good was Jivon Evans O.G. Cutter to Bravo Americano.
So good. And the timing of that had to be so perfect to pull it off the way they did.
Like, their timing was impeccable. Down to the millisecond to nail that. Man.
It was so good.
And the fact that Javon Evans is in Elimination Chamber,
on top of the fact that Javon Evans is younger than Elimination Chamber itself,
which is what a wild stat that is.
Elimination Chamber debuted in 2002.
Javon Evans was born in 2004.
So Elimination Chamber is two years older than Javon Evans.
You know that Javon Evans
either already has an idea
or he's spending all week
thinking of, what can I do
to just blow
everyone's mind at elimination chamber?
Is he going to climb this thing?
Is he going to do some sort of
Spider-Man thing from the roof of this
like John Morrison did
or like Montez-Ford did?
We're going to see something.
Wild.
And this is one of the things I love about Javon Evans
and like he's just crushing it.
I love that he's in that position right now,
that when he's in a match, you can't look away.
You have to be paying attention
because you never know what's going to happen.
I think that OG Cutter on Raw is a perfect example of that,
and I can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve at Elimination Chamber.
Steve Marks sent this one in as an email.
Hey, Chris, still loving every single Ask CVV every Friday
and everything else you do.
I've got a question for AskCVVV.
number one, two, three, ding, ding, ding, ding, here is your winner edition.
With all of the near unmaskings of both Al Grandes, do you think that we're building up to a possible
mask versus mask match at WrestleMania with the loser being unmasked? Keep up the outstanding work
you do, peace and love to you and your family, Steve from the UK. Peace and love to you and your family
as well, Steve. I think that's exactly what we're building up to here. I think we are building up
to El Grande Americano versus the original
El Grande Americano at WrestleMania.
And I would hope that whoever wins this,
whatever this ends up becoming,
we get Chad Gable without a mask on wrestling again.
Chad Gable is in unbelievable shape right now.
And I think that, like,
when you really think about the career that Chad Gable has had,
not just in WWE, but everything he did before that,
this injury, as unfortunate as it was,
was his first chance to, like, pause
for probably the first time since he was like a kid,
a chance for him to, like, pause, regroup,
get into insane shape, dial in the workouts,
dial in the nutrition,
and come back looking like how he came back at the Royal Rumble.
I can't see a situation where Chad Gable,
if this is, in fact,
Chad Gable wrestling as the original El Grande Americano.
I've seen all of the speculation that this could be him.
But if this, if it is, in fact, Chad Gable,
I can't see him doing this that much longer.
It's still wild to me that we sit here right now in 2026,
and Chad Gable has not won a singles championship.
I think you could make a real strong case that he should have been the one
to break Gunther's streak.
He should have been the one to defeat Gunther
and become the intercontinental champion.
Gunther absolutely crushed Honky Tong Man's record.
Honky Tong Man's record was 454 days.
Gunther beat that by 212 days,
like three quarters of a year.
Gunther had 666 days.
I think that at some point during that rivalry
between Gunther and everyone that he was facing
for the Intercontinental Championship,
it should have been Chad Gable.
And that's not to take anything away from Sammy Zane.
That match with Sammy Zame,
where he finally beat Gunther at WrestleMania.
Amazing.
What a great match.
What a great moment.
But I'm just saying that I think there was an opportunity
earlier for Chad Gable to win that title.
And I feel like with the frequency
that the United States Championship
is changing hands with,
I could see Chad Gable being the U.S. champion at some point before this year is over.
I look forward to seeing where this mask versus match, mask, match thing goes, or El Grande
versus Al Grande goes, but I don't think it's going to go much further than a planned match
at WrestleMania. And then just let Chad Gable be Chad Gable. Let him just do his thing.
and like we will sit back and absolutely just enjoy that.
Like he is so, so good,
and I can't wait for him to just like have at it.
Steve from the UK sent this one in on chrisfanfleet.com.
This is a question for episode one, two, three,
and for, and me, who's your daddy?
What is this?
Hornswoggle, Mr. Kennedy, Dominic Mysterio,
Jason Jordan edition.
John Cena is best known for 17 world championships, but I think his best work was his series of the U.S. title Open Challenge matches.
What other superstar do you think had their best work outside of the world title environment?
Marcel in Gattano.
Oh, sorry, this is from Marcel.
Steve was our last guy.
Okay, Marcel.
Marcel Baudouin in Gattano.
Thank you for this question, Marcel.
Sorry, I got mixed up in my notes here.
I think that John Cena will forever be known as a world champion.
I agree.
I loved his work with the Open Challenge.
You want some.
Come get some.
Love that.
And it's a great question.
So who has won a world title, but they're better known for something outside of the
world title?
Chris Jericho is one of the names that immediately pops into my head.
He won the Intercontinental Championship nine times.
He's one of those people that when you think of the Intercontinental Championship,
you think of Chris Jericho.
Even though he's the guy who beat the rock
and Stone Cold in the same night,
not to take anything away from Chris Jericho
as a world champion, but he did such great work
as the Intercontinental Champion.
Same with Miz.
Like when you think of the I-C title after Jericho's time,
it's Ms. He held it eight times.
Like, Ms. made that title,
especially like late 2010s,
feel important, sometimes feel more important than the main title. Like he cut that legendary
promo where he's in the ring with Roman Raines and John Cina and he's talking about like how he's
making the interkindle title like means something because those guys weren't there. Those guys
weren't showing up. And he was there. He was there every single week, willing to put the IAC title
on the line. So yeah, Ms. has been WWE champion twice, but hard to think about the IAC title over
the last 10-ish, 15-ish years without thinking of the amazing work that Ms. did.
Also, not along the same lines here, but Jeff Hardy, Jeff Hardy, former WWE champion.
But, I mean, when you think of Jeff Hardy, you think about the legacy of the Hardy Boys,
you think about, I mean, Jeff Hardy's held pretty much every title under the sun.
So, yeah, Jeff Hardy world champion, but, like, I feel like there's so much more
when you think about Jeff Hardy.
So there's three off the top of my head.
There's obviously so many others.
I mean, we just talked about Gunther.
He's the guy who has the record now
when it comes to the Intercontinental Championship,
but also a great world champion as well.
I saw some stat, and I know that it's not like completely up-to-date,
and I'm going to completely butcher this,
but like something like when he was still the world head,
heavyweight champion. He'd spent something like 80% of his
WWE career holding a title.
Wild. Like, and it's kind of strange to see him now
without a championship, but he doesn't really need one with the
career killer gimmick that he has now. It's just, man,
mega heel. I love it. Space Rabbit left this comment on Spotify.
Hey, CVV, a realist of the realest, real one here. And I want to ask,
often introduce a non-wrestling fan to a match to get them to watch. But which of your interviews
will inspire a non-wrestling fan to watch more wrestling? Love from Malaysia. I think I appreciate
the sentiment around this Space Rabbit, but I think to get a non-wrestling fan to listen to a
wrestling interview might be tough, might be difficult. But if we were to pick one, I think the
interview I did with John Sina in 2024 would be the one. He was just spitting so much knowledge.
There were so many just nuggets of information and like just a peek into his mindset and the way
that he thinks about life, the way he thinks about matches. And even if you're not a wrestling
fan, there's like a science to that that I think is really interesting. I really enjoyed the
interview that we did last year, but it was a very wrestling focused. So like I wouldn't tell a wrestling fan
to listen to this interview, this recent one with John Cena from 2025, from December
2025, because it was so wrestling focused on like, all right, let's talk about the Royal
Rumble and then a heel turn and then your match with AJ Styles. It was very like inside baseball.
Whereas that one, it was when he was promoting Ricky Stenicki. I think that there was just,
there was a lot of little nuggets in there that I still think about to this day. So I think that
would be the one that I would recommend. But if you're sharing,
insight with someone who's not a wrestling fan, man, I got a high-five for you as well,
because I think it's a tough sell. It's a tough sell to like ask someone, hey, you want to spend
an hour of listening to a wrestling podcast with a wrestling guest, not always talking about
wrestling. We talk about a lot of like life stuff, a lot of like really interesting, like,
I learn a lot from like figuring out how someone got there.
I talk a lot about like reverse engineering someone's story, someone's path,
and I try to apply that to my own life.
But if you are sharing this with anybody, appreciate you.
But if you're sharing insight with a non-wrestling fan,
that's cool.
Sexy Bacon 490 on Instagram.
Does part of you want to give wrestling a try like BDE?
necessarily a full run, but maybe a few special appearances or a many run.
I was a guest on my friend Brandon Davis's show, which is called The Brandon Davis Show.
I actually think we're going to make that a bonus episode, maybe in the next week or two.
And he was talking about like, would you want to give it a go?
And a little backstory here, I've known Brandon for like 10 years.
He's a fellow entertainment reporter.
he's a fellow movie interviewer.
We met doing movie junkets.
We've traveled the world.
I've seen him at so many different red carpets,
so many different movie premieres,
so many different movie junkets.
We'd become really good friends.
He's always been a huge wrestling fan.
And like two years ago, two, three years ago,
Brandon went all in on this dream of becoming a pro wrestler.
He'd always thought about it.
He had always dreamed about it.
And he pulled the trigger and he did it.
Brandon lives in Nashville.
He makes the drive to Louisville, Kentucky,
about a two-hour drive every week.
And he trained,
he trained with OVW,
and he also trained in Nashville,
but he trained at OVW,
now he makes the drive every Thursday
to be part of OVW's show.
Like, that's, like, real commitment.
So many people talk about a dream.
So many people talk about,
oh, one day I'd love to do this,
or talk about a goal.
He actually did it.
And I have so much respect for anybody who does that,
who looks at the steps involved of like,
okay, I want to be a pro wrestler.
What does that look like?
Okay, well, maybe I should get in the gym.
Okay.
Maybe I should improve my cardio.
All right, let's find a wrestling school around here.
Let's find a reputable school and a reputable trainer.
Start training with them.
He did all of those things on top of a crazy, busy travel schedule
that he has for his job.
I love that.
So I was a guest on his show.
We were talking about just reminiscing about knowing each other
for 10 years and different interviews and different thoughts on wrestling in general.
But now here's a guy, here's a friend of mine who had a goal to become a pro wrestler,
and now he has a pro wrestler.
And he's wrestled many matches, even won a championship with OVW.
He said to me, like, do you want to have a match?
It's a question I've been asked many times.
I probably gave the most thorough answer about it on his show.
And it comes down to this.
I trained to be a wrestler when I was 20.
That was my main focus at that point in time.
I trained for a few months in Toronto.
I loved it.
I loved every single part of it.
This was in the summer of my
sophomore year,
sophomore year into my junior year.
And it was time to go back to school that fall.
And I just,
I was just focused on like, what am I going to do?
Am I going to put all my effort into wrestling school or all my effort into school school?
I didn't want to have to balance both.
It was an hour-ish drive, four days a week for training.
It was Tuesday, Thursday evening, and then all day, Saturday, Sunday.
And I just, I'm a big believer in this quote, the man who chases two rabbits, catches none.
Because your attention is, it's on this one, then it's on that one, and you never end up catching one.
I would love to have a match.
And I've been offered matches before.
I've been offered matches by people who you definitely know them,
people who are very well respected in the industry.
And I know that there are people who would carry me through a match
and make me look like I kind of know what I'm doing
because I certainly do not know what I'm doing.
Yeah, I can take some bumps.
Yeah, I can run the ropes.
And a lot of it comes back, like riding a bike.
Like, if you put me in a ring right now,
I could do a scoop slam, like, just second nature and all of that.
Having a match, though, completely different story.
And I know that if I were to have a match or a short run like you're talking about here,
I would want to put all of my effort into it.
I would want to spend six, eight, twelve months of like going in there, training the right way,
making sure that I am absolutely 100% ready.
And I know, again, I'd be wrestling with a veteran who would take care of me and make me look like a million bucks and cover up the many, many weaknesses I would have since it would be my debut match.
But I would want to commit fully to this.
I wouldn't want to just, like, do some training for a few weeks, an hour here, an hour there, and then, like, think I could pull this off.
I have far too much respect for pro wrestling to think that that's even a possibility.
I would want to do this the right way.
I'd want to be fully trained to the point where whoever my trainer is goes, yeah, Chris, you're ready for this match.
And I just don't have the time right now.
I'm so fully aware that I'm in a really special phase of my life right now with two young kids.
Logan's two and a half.
Cooper just turned 14 months this week.
He took his first steps this week.
Oh, man.
What a moment that was.
He's been like standing on his own for a while now.
And he just stood up the other day.
And he walked to Rachel to RVV.
And what a moment that was.
Oh, we just immediately just burst out in tears.
It was so beautiful.
I'm fully aware that I am in this incredible season of life right now.
Little kids are only little kids for a few years.
And then that's it.
This season of life is,
over and it's on to the next season of life, which is going to be an equally beautiful season of
life. And I do not want to rush that. When it comes, it comes and I look forward to that, but we're in such a
beautiful season of life right now, and I'm enjoying, I love being a father so much, so much. I love,
I love those little babies so much. And I think that it would, it would just not make a lot of sense
with the amount of travel that I already do,
with the amount of time that I'm already spending
on the podcast, like right now,
hanging out with you right now,
to on top of that,
also add however many hours a week it would be.
If I'm doing it right,
it'd probably be three sessions a week.
Each sessions may be two, three, four hours.
So with driving to and from wherever I'd be training,
I'm going to be adding another 10, 12 hours
on top of that, 10, 12 hours away from the family,
I'm just not there right now.
I don't have the ability to commit to that.
As much as I would love to have a match,
I'm 42, I'm going to turn 43 in May.
I'm excited for my 43th birthday.
Never say never, but I will say it's highly unlikely
that that match is going to happen
because I don't know where I would find the time to fully commit to doing this right.
If this was 10 years ago and I was single and living in, I was living in Fort Lauderdale
10 years ago and Gangrel had his school there, yeah, sure, sign me up.
This would have been perfect.
Gangrel's school was like 15 minutes from where I was living.
It didn't really work at the time because I was traveling even more than I am now.
But if it was lined up like that, I was single and,
didn't have any kids and like got off of work or just had free days to do this, sure.
I would have made total sense. Gangrel's a hell of a trainer. Hell of a guy too.
But I think when it comes down to it, I do not want to give wrestling a try.
I am so content being someone who sits in the audience and enjoys the heck out of these matches,
whether it's WW or AEW, TNA, New Japan,
an independent show, whatever it is.
I love it.
I love, love, love watching wrestling.
I also love having these conversations about wrestling,
whether it's with you on an Ask CVV episode
or whether it's with whoever my guest is
on a Tuesday or Thursday.
I don't have the time.
I don't have the ability to build out that time without sacrificing something else.
And that sacrifice would either be these interviews or time with a family.
And I'm not interested in sacrificing either of those.
So very content.
Being a fan, special appearances?
Sure.
Like when I went in the ring at ACW and delivered the most devastating rock bottom,
the most picture-perfect rock bottom you've ever seen
when I delivered that to Brock Hall in the middle of the ring
with Santino cheering me on in the ring.
Yeah, you might see that every once in a while.
But in terms of a match, yeah, probably not.
Dusty Bergdorf sent this one in
on the wonderfully newly revamped chris fanfleet.com.
I am a soon-to-be, VIP, real, real, real one.
in Chicago. I'll see you soon there, Dusty.
My name is Dusty Bergdorf,
and yes, I was named after Dusty Rhodes.
I love that. I've been listening to Ask CVV since episode number 95
when you answered my brother's question, and he forced me to listen.
What a story! I love that. Your brother's like,
Dusty, you need to listen to this, and now you're hooked.
Amazing. Now your episodes help me get through the 10-hour days
in the Auto Factory here in Michigan. I know that you love
a good Mount Rushmore. So,
What is your Mount Rushmore of managers?
Mine would be Bobby the Brain Heenan, Paul Heyman, Jim Cornett, and Jimmy Hart.
Oh, Dusty, I think you might have nailed it there.
Bobby the Brain, Paul Heyman, Jim Cornett, Jimmy Hart.
That's a pretty great list right there.
I think you could add Paul Barrow in.
I don't know who you're swapping out, but I mean, how can you not have
Paul Bear, what a legend.
Classy Freddie Blassie, you might throw on there.
But I think your list is pretty great.
Maybe you swap out one or two names depending on the day,
but that's a solid list right there.
AJ Graham on Facebook says,
what do you think would have happened if Bart Gunn actually beat Butterbean?
So you're talking about Brawl for All in 1998,
which is, what a crazy concept to think about now
that they sent their pro wrestlers
into the ring to literally fight each other.
So the preliminary fights was just like
this wrestler versus this wrestler in a fight.
And it started off as like UFC style,
and then they took away takedowns.
Steve Blackman was breaking this down for me.
It was fascinating.
Because Steve Blackman went into this like,
oh, if anything goes, I'm going to win.
and then Steve Blackman ended up getting injured,
and they took away takedowns,
and he said that they took away takedowns
to basically, like,
make sure that he wouldn't be as dominant in there.
So I think there is a 0% chance
that Bart Gunn was going to beat Butterbean.
Butterbean was on my show years ago.
That was such a cool thing.
I was staying with DDP,
and he was like, hey, would you want to interview
Butterbean. Wait, would you want to interview Butterbee? And I said, yeah, sure. He goes,
okay, I'll call him up. They'll be here this afternoon. And I was like, what? This afternoon?
Let me quickly, like, do some research. And it was like two hours later. Butterbean walked in.
Hey, I'm Eric. Oh, hey, good to meet you. Hey, I'm Eric. Oh, hey, good to meet you. Hey,
and call me Bean. Great to meet you. Bean. We had a great conversation. Check it out.
It's a several episodes ago, like probably almost three years ago. But he said that he was basically brought in as
punishment, like basically brought in to, like, make sure that Bart Gunn got knocked out.
And, man, Bart Gunn absolutely got knocked out.
It was abundantly clear in that match who was a professional boxer and who was a pro wrestler
who happened to have some boxing skills.
Like, he was just completely outclassed.
And also, like, Butterbean not only, like, outclassed him and it's a far better boxer
because, you know, it's his profession,
but he was so much bigger and it's a devastating knockout.
I don't think there is any world
where Bark Gunn beats Butterbean,
unless Butterbean went into that boxing match
with one hand tied behind his back.
In fact, with one hand tied behind his back,
I still think that Butterbean might have won that.
If Butterbean went in with no hands,
both hands were tied behind his back,
Bark Gun would have won that.
But I just, I can't see it happening.
and it played out exactly how they expected it to play out.
That was the knockout I think they were hoping for.
Leon 23 Ellis on Instagram says,
Leon from Barry Ontario.
I love Barry Ontario.
Shout to Lake Simco,
the best smallmouth bass fishery in probably the world.
I've caught some giant smallmouth on Lake Simco
with my good friend, Aaron Anders.
Woo! Love it. Leon says, easy one here for you. What is your go-to order when you hit up Swiss chalet?
Also, I'm grateful for the podcast. I love Swiss chalet. That is the one place that I like crave when I go back home.
As soon as my parents pick me out from the airport, if there is, if it's, if they're open, like if it's not like midnight, I will say to DVV and HV, let's go to Swiss chalet.
double leg with fries and an extra chalet sauce whole grain bun yeah that's it for me they're the sauce
look leon you know what i'm talking about and for everybody else who's not from canada you have no
clue what we're talking about here swish chalet not only is it just fantastic rotisserie chicken
and the fries are amazing but there's just it's it's so nostalgic nostalgia is a hell of a drug but
There was something about, like, I grew up in a suburb of Toronto.
Pickering now has about 100,000 people when I was growing up.
Maybe it was 70, 80,000.
There weren't a ton of restaurants.
So Swiss chalet became, like, the go-to spot.
I'm sure this is the same thing for you wherever you grew up.
But, like, there was the place that everybody went after church on a Sunday.
Everybody went after, like, if you had a concert at school when you were growing up.
and it's either the middle of the day
or it's six, seven o'clock at night,
there was always that one or two restaurants
within a five, ten,
15 minute drive of your house
where you know that if you went there
you'd see somebody else from school
or it was just a place to go.
And that was our restaurant.
We're not talking about like the fancy place.
Like this wasn't like where you went to like celebrate.
That would probably for us be like the keg.
That was always a good big place to celebrate.
but like this would be the spot where like just a lunch with grandma and grandpa,
which we did many a times.
Double egg, fries, extra chalet sauce, whole grain bun.
What a great question, Leon.
Thank you for incorporating my nostalgic childhood into this.
Mem, Shannon 30 on Instagram says,
what's the most boring part of your job?
I feel like I'm really fortunate.
to enjoy all aspects of this.
Again, how lucky am I to get to do this?
Every Friday, we get to hang out, chat a little bit of wrestling.
No matter what's going on in the world, you know that every Friday you'll wake up,
you'll go to whatever podcast app it is, and you know there'll be a new Ask CV.
And every Tuesday, every Thursday, you know you're going to wake up and there's going to be a new
interview there.
How lucky am I that I get to do this, get to talk to people who are the very best of what they do?
and like hear amazing stories firsthand from them.
It's amazing.
It's the best.
There are, I think some people might think it's travel,
but I love travel.
I love all aspects of like getting to the airport,
getting on the plane,
either renting a car, taking an Uber.
I love the whole adventure of that.
Or if it's driving to wherever it is,
I think the place I drive to the most from here
is probably Las Vegas.
I think I drove there
like two or three times
last year.
It's like a three and a half
four hour drive
depending on traffic.
I love that part of it.
And I also love that
like on a plane
I can read a book
when we're driving
either chatting with a friend
if I'm traveling
with somebody or listening
to a podcast.
I think the most boring part
is probably the file transfer.
Like what a
What an unsexy part of the job is taking the SD card out of the camera,
putting it into the computer, dragging the files onto the laptop,
doing that with the camera that goes on the guest, which I call CAMA,
the camera that is looking at me, which I call CAMB,
and then the wide shot camera, which we call the wide shot.
So taking those three files, put them on the computer,
then taking the audio file out of my Zoom H4N recorder,
putting that on the computer,
and then uploading that to a shared Google Drive.
So everybody who's doing something with the episode,
whether it's Donald who's doing the audio mixing on it,
and shout out to Donald for just making this sound so good.
Right now that Donald, the best,
the best audio engineer in the game,
whether it's Troy Blair,
the greatest shorts editor on the plan.
it, whether it's Troy who's going in there and editing up the episodes and grabbing the clips,
making the shorts that you see on YouTube, the reels that you see on Instagram or Facebook,
the TikToks you see on TikTok, whether it's Alex, Alex Hunt, who's going in there and
transcribing the episodes and seeing those are the quotes that you see on Chris VanVlead.com,
whether it's RJ who goes in there and cuts those incredible teaser trailers
that if you watch the show, if you watch the interviews on YouTube,
you see those at the start of the episode,
like the minute-ish of like, oh, wow, that's some interesting stuff
that they're talking about here.
I love that.
Or whether it's Clement, who creates the amazing graphics that you see
here on the podcast and also like the,
I call them the quote graphics that you see on social media.
I'm certainly not in this alone.
Then shout out to everybody who plays a role
in making the show as great as it is.
I have the ability, like I know how to edit,
and I feel fortunate that one of my very first jobs,
when I worked in TV was,
I was a videographer for a small TV station in Peterborough, Ontario,
Czechs TV.
you wear a lot of hats
where you're at a small TV station.
So I was shooting the story.
So I learned how to operate
one of those big TV news cameras,
like the big 25 pound ones that go on your shoulder,
like learning how to like white balance
and like all of that stuff.
Focus, mic yourself up, all of that.
I learned how to edit,
was obviously writing the news stories,
also reporting the news stories,
wore a lot of hats.
I know how to edit.
I edited these episodes and all my YouTube videos for like 15 years
before I finally went like, I'm not a great editor.
I know how to do it.
I'm like a six out of ten editor.
But what if someone like Troy, who's a ten out of ten editor,
could do a much better job and do it in half the time
because that's what they do.
They're a world-class editor.
Well, that makes a lot of sense.
I can make graphics and I've made thumbnails for years and years and years.
And if you go back, go back,
and look at my thumbnails in like 2018,
2019, 2019, 2020, and you'll see how
not good they are.
I was making them with some free app on my phone.
They're not great. They got the job done, but they're not
great. So I just feel like I'm really
grateful to have talented people who can take my
very clear weaknesses when it comes to those things.
I know how to do them, but not great.
at them. But I think it's the most boring part of the job is, and the most tedious part of the job is,
I think it's the file transfers, like, waiting to, first of all, have them load on the computer,
and then the process of, like, now having them upload to the shared drive. I think that's got to be it.
Not that I don't enjoy that part of it, one of the most crucial parts of the process,
but one of those where it's like
nothing can happen
until those files are up.
Like, we can't really get started
on editing this thing together
until that part
happens. That's our final question.

Can't wait.
I'll leave you with this quote.
It's a quote I've thought about a lot,
especially in the world that we live in
when we're scrolling on social media all the time.
Comparison is the thief of joy.
Be great and be grateful, my friend.
Have an amazing weekend.
We will see you on the next one for some more insight.
The Hammer Alley podcast, an 80s flashback
mockumentary. Back in the 80s, there were a thousand bands trying to make it in the world of rock,
but there was one band that had it all. Hammer Alley. Whatever happened to Hammer Alley?
How did they go from top of the rock? I'm looking for a music video. They're a band from 1987.
Hammer Alley. Ever heard of then? To Rock Bottom. Dude, I was born in 1987.
I can't believe he's doing this. Hammer Allie. Follow and listen on your favorite platform.
