Starting point is 00:01:04 Thank you so much for being here. And thank you for making Insight the number one wrestling podcast on the planet. Hey, where are you listening right now? Spotify, Apple, somewhere else, wherever it is, slap the sharpshooter on that follow button so you don't miss out on any new interviews every Tuesday or Thursday. And of course, ask CVV every single Friday. That episode with Booker T yesterday was hilarious. He's one of the most positive people you would ever meet too. Like he's just the whole time cracking himself up during the whole interview telling these great stories.
Starting point is 00:01:42 like that story behind why he had a random African accent in DNA was incredible. The best part about it is he's laughing to himself about how ridiculous this story is. So go check that one out if you haven't yet. Also, thank you to everyone who sent me a message or sent me the clip about the very kind words that Cody Rhodes and AJ Style said about me on the latest episode of what do you want to talk about. And of course, thank you to Cody and AJ for what you said there. I have such a massive amount of respect for both of those guys. I look up to them. They are two of the very best in this industry. And for them to take 40 seconds or whatever it was to say nice things about me and being on
Starting point is 00:02:34 the show, that was just such a cool thing. So thank you for sending that along to me. I am in Minneapolis as I record this right now. Earlier today, I recorded, or I guess earlier today as I record this Ask CVV, but on Thursday, I recorded an interview with a very anticipated guest. So you're thinking right now, who lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota? Yes, you guessed it. That's right. The current Intercontinental Champion, Dad Gable lives here. What a year he's had. And we dive into all of it during this interview.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Coming back from the shoulder surgery, El Grande Americano, the other El Grande Americano as well. Mask versus Mask. Winning the I.C. title at SummerSlam in his hometown. The amazing match with Dragon Lee on Raw and Mexico City recently. The comparisons to Kurt Angle, all of that. And that's going to be out next Thursday. Also, you may have seen a teaser clip of this, but we also filmed a workout for Chad's YouTube channel,
Starting point is 00:03:46 which is going to be dropping on the same day. And that dude is a beast, an absolute beast. And that workout was insane, moving some pretty heavy weight. And I tried my very best to keep up with him. So go subscribe on YouTube to my channel. also subscribe to Chad's channel over there, and you'll see that next Thursday. We got to talk about that CM Punk versus Kevin Owens match recently for the WWE title on SmackDown. It was nuts, and I was lucky enough to be right there for it.
Starting point is 00:04:24 And when I say right there, I mean right there behind the announced table. Second row, big thank you to Seekek for the amazing tickets and for sponsoring this episode. With over 35 million downloads, Seekek is the number one rated ticket. app. There are more than 70,000 events listed on Seekkeek, including WWE, concerts, sports, festivals, and more. Ask CVV number one 55 second pose for the benefit of those with flash photography edition. And I know we've done this one before. But since the two-time Hall of Favor Booker T was just on the show yesterday, oh yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:06:29 This is AskCVV number one, 55 time, five time, five time, five time, five time. five time, five time, WCW, champion Booker T edition. Let's hear your questions for next week. Send them in on Chrisfanfleet.com. Leave a comment on Spotify, or, of course, send them in on the social media platform of your choosing, using that hashtag Ask CVV.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Speaking of next week, we are exactly one week away from the next Insight Live. It's happening in New Orleans, the day before Money in the Bank. Grab your tickets now at CVV. tics.com, and I can't wait to see you there. And yes, I will have the new Chris Sharp micro-brawlers for sale at that show. And they're also for sale right now on CVV-merch.com. There's signed or unsigned versions, CVV-merch.com. We'll kick this off with this question from Lee Davies, Davies
Starting point is 00:07:29 LFC on Instagram, who says, hey, Chris, hope you're doing well. Like many, I was absolutely devastating. hearing the tragic news of PAC's passing this week. It was an honor to be able to see him at three separate all-in shows at Wembley Stadium. For me, he will always be in that conversation of one of the most talented British wrestlers. What a talent and an even better person that he was. Do you have any favorite pack matches?
Starting point is 00:07:57 Yeah, what a, what tragic news. I couldn't believe it when I read the news. Like, I'm sure it was the same for all of you. I'm reading this going, is this real? How could he be gone? He just wrestled the night before at all out. What a tremendous loss. What a tremendous human being.
Starting point is 00:08:22 Benjamin Satterley, better known as PAC, known in WWE as Neville. I met him very, very briefly early on in AEW, but I never had the pleasure of having him a guest on the podcast. That's someone who I would have loved to dive into their backstory and share a conversation with. But what a complete wrestler and beloved by everyone. Everyone who's sharing these tributes are just sharing these amazing stories about the man he was outside of the ring. And you love to see that. What a beautiful tribute on Dynamite on Wednesday. you could tell how much Ben meant to everyone.
Starting point is 00:09:09 He's one of those rare people, very rare people in the wrestling business that nobody has a bad thing to say about them. And there were so many touching moments on that show, just the start to finish. Dynamite was just had me all in my feels. So many great moments. Also, so many great matches as well. But Brian Danielson and John Moxley embracing in the ring. that got me. Then Brian Danielson coming out of retirement. I know he was never like officially
Starting point is 00:09:42 retired. He specifically said in our interview, he's like, I don't like to use the word retirement. Like maybe I'll wrestle another match. If it means something, well, obviously on Wednesday, it meant a lot. That moment when Will Osprey hits the black arrow on ricochet and just the celebration that Will had of like nailing the move perfectly and knowing that that move was being done for his good friend Pack. Love that. And everybody who was doing these interviews backstage talking about the first time they met him or what Ben meant to their life, you could just see that he touched the lives of every single person that he came into contact with. And it's such unfortunate circumstances.
Starting point is 00:10:33 But it was nice to see how this united everyone in wrestling together. Wrestlers from every company. Fans coming together. Monday night on Raw, we saw armbands worn by Bailey and Becky, Penta with Ben's name on a shin pad. Tuesday on NXT.
Starting point is 00:10:56 Dick Joseph referencing Pack. He was saying, E.K. Prosper trying to rise up. E.K. trying tonight to follow in the footsteps of another former NXT champion. A high flyer. He looked up to from Newcastle who once stated, throw your heart out in front of you, run ahead and catch it. Corey Graves, who is tag team champions with Neville
Starting point is 00:11:20 and NXT had a touching tribute to him while on commentary for World's End. He said, I want to take a moment to send our thoughts, prayers and condolences to the family, friends and fans of Ben Satterley who competed in WWE as Adrian Neville. He was my tag team partner. We held the NXT tag team titles together. One of the best people. Our business has ever known gone way too soon. Rest in power, my friend. There's been a lot of emotions this week and a lot of loss, just in general, I feel like. And I think Bailey's post on X summed all of this. She said, quote, pro wrestling is so special.
Starting point is 00:12:05 The way you can get lost in a match or a character can be so fun. There's nothing like it. But experiencing that magic and escape while at the same time honoring a loved one is truly powerful. Man, that is probably the best way I've seen anyone put it. As for my favorite matches, there's a lot. and I've spent any free time I've had this week watching PAC matches, watching Neville matches. This intensity that he had also
Starting point is 00:12:39 so jacked, like just a ball of dense muscle. I'm going to go with these are not in any particular order, but I think that this one would be my number one. Pack versus Will Osprey. Their match at All Out 2024 is, man, Just what a match. I don't think I have the right words to describe it. If you haven't seen it, go watch it.
Starting point is 00:13:08 And the idea here that's two wrestlers from different generations of the British high-flying lineage, finally getting that major singles match together on a big stage. They're both phenomenal here. Phenomenal. What a match. Pack versus Kenny Omega, the Iron Man match. on Dynamite, February 2020. I think it might be PAC's like best pure wrestling performance.
Starting point is 00:13:37 It's 30 minutes plus overtime. It's great pacing in that match. And Pack like, we obviously know he's great, but like right there, step for step as Kenny Omega's believable equal. Great rivalry. But man, I just love that match. in NXT,
Starting point is 00:14:00 Neville versus Sammy Zane for the NXT title. It's a great rivalry but just two guys who could just go. When that bell
Starting point is 00:14:11 ding, ding, ding, rings, they can just go. And then I'll give you one more underrated match that I don't think it's talked about
Starting point is 00:14:21 nearly enough. Neville versus Austin Ares, WrestleMania 33, And I understand that this was on the WrestleMania kickoff card so it doesn't get talked about in the same way as like the main card. But I think arguably this is Neville's best match
Starting point is 00:14:40 on his main event run. Like the heel transformation there and he reinvents himself as a performer. And to be able to do this on the WrestleMania stage, that was a great rewatch this week. Love to see in that. But what a talent performer 40 years old. I just can't believe that he's not with us anymore. And also, speaking
Starting point is 00:15:05 in great matches, the YouTube algorithm has been feeding up the John Sina versus Neville match for the United States Championship from Raw, May 11th, 2015. And this has started to go viral over the last few days. It's now closing it on 9 million views. It's a quick video. It's like 5,000. minutes. So if you have five-ish minutes this weekend and you just want to see some magic, I would put that one on. What a great match. What a great, great man. Ted, emailed this one and he says, hello, Chris, hope you're doing good. Tonight on Smackdown, we're going to find out who will fill the final Money in the Bank ladder match spot. It's between Kevin Owens, Johnny Wrestling, and Cody Rhodes. Who's going to take that spot?
Starting point is 00:16:00 Thank you for making my Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays better. Keep up the awesome work, Ted from England. I just have this sneaky suspicion that it's going to be Johnny wrestling. And I feel like over the last few weeks since that match with CM Punk, since Johnny finally stood up and wrestled again after planking for the last nine months, I feel like Johnny's been being put in these better spots. and there's a spotlight being shined on him, and I love seeing it. I have a sneaky suspicion that he's going to steal a win here.
Starting point is 00:16:39 I think that it's going to look like Cody Rhodes is going to get this win, and then I think, as has happened many times in the past, I think that Randy Orton's going to come out and spoil that party. And I think that maybe Kevin Owens is distracted in this or something like that. But I think there's a possible way here for Johnny Wrestling to pick up the win. And it makes sense. Like Johnny Wrestling, ladder matches, put him in there. I'd love to see it.
Starting point is 00:17:09 Even if he probably doesn't have the best odds to win the men's money in the bank ladder match, you know he's going to do something amazing and something memorable in that match. And I would love to have the underdog story of maybe it's a spot right, towards the end where Johnny's in the ring. Nobody else is there. He starts climbing the ladder. The crowd's getting behind him and getting on their feet. And then maybe, you know, someone dumps him off the ladder or something like that. But I would love to have that hope spot for Johnny wrestling. So I'm, I'm actually pulling for my guy Johnny. And maybe I'm a little biased because I've known Johnny since back when I lived in Cleveland. But I just think that this is
Starting point is 00:17:56 There's going to be some shenanigans in this match that I think could benefit Johnny Wrestling. Troy Bettinger 91 on Instagram says, CVV, you've mentioned that Roman Raines versus CM Punk is one of the best WrestleMania main events ever. I would love to hear your top five. Well, here's the thing, Troy. Here's the thing about this list. Some of, now I'd say actually most of the best matches in WrestleMania history
Starting point is 00:18:25 were not main events. Brett Hart versus Stone Cold at WrestleMania 13. Steambo versus Savage at WrestleMania 3. Most of Undertaker's streak matches. Rock Hogan, WrestleMania 18. You get the points. A long, long list of great matches that didn't close out the show.
Starting point is 00:18:44 So if we're just looking at WrestleMania main events, I'll give you my top five in no particular order here. Since I've mentioned it so many times since you asked it in the question. Yeah, Roman Raines, CM Punk, WrestleMania this year, it's just such a solid match. And I think that, yeah, maybe there's some recency bias here because it just happened a few months ago. But I think it holds up. I think it holds up in like it's a clean match too, which is I know that when it comes to Roman Raines, in the past at least,
Starting point is 00:19:21 it wasn't always the case. Although I will say, I know that that's kind of been reputation for Roman Reins, but you look at the Penta match, clean match, no interference. You look at the CM Punk and Roman Raines match at WrestleMania, clean match, no interference. So that one's on the list for me, for sure. WrestleMania 26, Undertaker versus Sean Michaels, and I feel like they put that match in the main event because they were making up for not having it in the main event at WrestleMania 25. and I feel like Taker and Sean Michaels the year before, we're like, you're going to put us on like somewhere around the middle of the card?
Starting point is 00:19:58 We are going to make you regret that decision. And they went out and tore the house down. So I feel like when they had the rematch the next year, they were like, well, there's only one spot that this match could be. It has to be in the main event. I got to go, WrestleMania 19. Kurt Engel versus Brock Lesnar. and I know that a lot of people go, oh, man,
Starting point is 00:20:21 it's too bad about the shooting star press at the end. It's too bad that Brock Lezzer didn't nail that. Look at everything else in the match. That match is just beautiful. Like two of the very best, like, technical, like, mat wrestlers going at it, I love that match. And I think that if Brock Lezzer did nail the shooting star press, if Kurt Engel was a little bit closer to the center of the ring,
Starting point is 00:20:49 I think that that would be a match and certainly a moment that we'd be talking about in a different way now 20 plus years later. But I love that match so, so much. What a rewatchable match for me, too. WrestleMania 40, night two, Cody finishing the story. Cody Rhodes, Roman Raines. I think that that's like peak wrestling from the last, certainly five years, maybe 10-ish years.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Everything culminated together. The whole story there that really began at WrestleMania 39 with Cody losing the title, figuring out a way to get that title shot again. The whole stupid stuff that happened with Cody winning the rumble and the rock, taking his spot, and then Cody getting the spot back. All of that playing into the crowd,
Starting point is 00:21:45 just getting behind Cody Rhodes. They wanted to see this thing happen. And then you've got the Avengers endgame of all of the different things going on and the run-ins and the generations of wrestling. That is the match that I think will be a defining moment for WWE in this era. And you want to talk about rewatchable. Not only is it rewatchable, but that's also a match you can show to somebody who's never watched wrestling and you go, Yeah, enjoy this. It's just full of emotion and great wrestling and everything.
Starting point is 00:22:24 And then to round out the top five here, and there's a lot more matches we could put on here, but this is my top five here. And I got to go to my favorite WrestleMania of all time when you just look at the card top to bottom, WrestleMania 17. And WrestleMania 17 ends with Stone Cold versus the Rock. What a match to cap off,
Starting point is 00:22:45 arguably the greatest WrestleMania of all time with two of the biggest legends in the business. So there's my top five, but it's amazing that when you go through all of the great WrestleMania matches, so many of them
Starting point is 00:23:01 were not main events. And then when you look at the ones that were main events, there's somewhere you go, huh, yeah, that was the main event? I can think a two or three better matches on the card. other than that one. But I get that that's just somehow, sometimes how it goes.
Starting point is 00:23:21 Ed Schmelling on Spotify says, CVV, do you think Naomi will be back to counter Jada? Well, the story does almost write itself here, right? Jada joining 946 gives the group something that it didn't have before they've got a woman who can physically get involved. and it's part of this feud with the bloodline. And I think the most natural woman who would answer her, of course, is Naomi, Jimmy Uso's wife.
Starting point is 00:23:53 She is part of the bloodline by marriage, but she is part of the bloodline here. The only thing that I think about, though, is I think about how Naomi left. Like when she left, she vacated the WWE Women's World Championship. That was a while back, by the way. August 18th, 2025. And of course, massive congrats to her and Big Jim on the new addition of their family.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Take as much time as you want with that little bundle of joy. I love it. It has, I think, officially been 410 days since her last appearance. But I think that if you're going to put her back into a storyline, I think it has to pick up where it left off. I don't think you can have her
Starting point is 00:24:43 vacate the world title and then get involved in a kind of a side story here, unless somehow the bloodline 9-4-6 feud has her on her way back to becoming the world champion. Like, I don't think you vacate the title and then come back and get involved in something else. Like, you vacated that title, not because you were injured, you vacated the title because you couldn't compete anymore because you were pregnant. So I think that it's like, all right, I'm back. I'm not pregnant anymore. She was doing the best work of her career before she got pregnant. I think she just needs to pick up right where she left off. Whoever the women's world champion is whenever she decides to come back. And I don't know if it's, I don't know if it's this year.
Starting point is 00:25:33 A Royal Rumble return might make a lot more sense for her. Like big moment. there. Maybe it's a Royal Rumble return. I'm thinking way too far ahead here. Maybe it's a Royal Rumble return and she wins the Royal Rumble. Like, but I don't think that she should have to be fighting to get an opportunity to be getting a shot at a title that she didn't lose. Like, it should be, whoever the champion is, whenever that happens to be, it should be her music hits and goes, hey, that title's mine. And then the match just gets made. Like, I don't think there's, needs to be much more storytelling other than Naomi's back and she wants her title. That's it. If this ends up leading to doing something with the bloodline or 946, sure, but I just don't think
Starting point is 00:26:22 that she needs it. Jada Parker, though, what a debut on Raw. And like, putting her right into this interesting storyline right off the bat, I'm excited about it. And I can't wait to see where it goes for Jada Parker. Visit BetMGM casino and check out the newest exclusive. The Price is Right Fortune Pick. Starting point is 00:27:49 I just listened to Fridays Ask, Cvv, number 154, and I had to reply immediately to this topic. I keep seeing people say that L.A. Knight could be the secret leader of 946, but that's not where I would take this story at all. L.A. Knight needs to stay on his own and stay a baby face. I agree with you there. For me, the guy secretly pulling the strings should be Jacob Fawte. Think about it.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Who knows more about that world, that lifestyle, and how those groups operate than Jacob? That's a good point. Are we really supposed to believe he's suddenly done with the bloodline just because Roman beat him? He's still making comments about the Uso's and reminding them that he doesn't take orders from them when they're starting to talk about them being captains. That feels like there's still something simmering underneath. Have Jacob, has Jacob quietly revealed? Have him be quietly revealed as the one behind 9-4-6,
Starting point is 00:28:42 suddenly you've got a perfect path towards Jacob Fawtu and 946 versus the bloodline with solo at war games. That's where I would take the journey. I think you're on to something here. And I just, I always love a good mystery, a good who done it in wrestling. I love a storyline that doesn't get answered immediately. And there's like, well, who could it be? And then we're starting to, well, could it be this person for these reasons? Could it be this other person for these other reasons. I've always loved those type of stories, like going back to, like,
Starting point is 00:29:17 who hit Stone Cold with the car. I vividly remember all of the different storylines that were being tossed out, and then it's like, it's Rikishi? Huh. Well, you're going to have to explain that one to me, or like Vince McMahon's illegitimate son
Starting point is 00:29:33 and all of the storyline around that. You're like, ah, it's Hornswoggle. You're going to have to explain that one to me. So, wait, are you telling me? that if there is a leader of 946, if there is somebody else that's going to be added to the group, because that's another part of this conversation that I guess isn't really being addressed.
Starting point is 00:29:52 Where did we get this whole idea that there is like someone pulling the strings here? Maybe they're just, it's just them. Like, could that not be the case as well? But if there is a leader here, maybe it's Hornswoggle. I mean, Hornswoggle was the anonymous Rod GM
Starting point is 00:30:09 when we were trying to figure that one out for a long time. but I digress. I just, I always appreciate when there's like, there's a big question mark. And then maybe there's a clue given on the next week of Raw and then another clue in the next week of Raw. And we're just like continually trying to figure out this story here. I'd also like to point out all of the different laws that were broken on Monday Night Raw that everybody just seems to be turning a blind eye to. Like the use of police officers on an episode of Raw or Smackdown is always so interesting to me. Like someone can get taken away in handcuffs for like touching someone during a contract signing.
Starting point is 00:30:56 But this last Monday on Raw, we see Grand Theft Auto, property destruction, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, assault and battery. and first degree arson. And then it's just like, all right. Yeah. Look at these cool guys standing in front of the fire here. I've just always thought that the use of logic in wrestling makes me giggle. It always makes me giggle a little bit. It also makes me giggle when like a baby face attacks the police officers.
Starting point is 00:31:32 And you're like, I don't be doing that. And if you are attacking the police officers, and I'm not talking about 946, I'm talking about those contract signing situations of the pull-aparts where, like, the two guys are trying to get at each other and they're beating up the police officers to fight each other. I'm thinking, well, now you've assaulted a police officer. How are you, like, truly not being taken away in handcuffs? But I guess the laws are just different when you're in a wrestling situation. But I just, I looked at that through the lens of logic and went, huh, a lot of laws being broken here. A lot of laws being broken.
Starting point is 00:32:12 But I see your prediction here for Survivor Series, Jacob Vah 2 and 946 versus the bloodline with Solo. I see that prediction and I raise you another team in here. What if after, and I know that it would be a big ask to change up the traditional Survivor series format, but what if instead it ended up being three groups of? of three taking on each other. What if it was like 9-4-6 versus solo versus the bloodline? Like solo in L.A. and Jacob Vatou. Like, what if it was something like that? But I do think that those two groups, for sure, at least as it stands right now, it seems like Survivor Series is
Starting point is 00:33:05 building around them. It always seems to be like, at least with the men's match, it seems to be like it's this big faction versus the other guys. And then in the women's match, it seems to be like, let's take five heels and five baby faces that don't really have much of a story going on, and let's put them in a match. I would love for both of these matches to mean something. and maybe 946 continues to build, maybe the storyline continues to get more and more layers every single week, but I would love for this to mean something.
Starting point is 00:33:44 I think the last time it really felt like it meant something at Survivor Series was, I guess, new bloodline versus old bloodline. But it's been, boy, it's been bloodline almost every single year. So maybe there's a way to make it a little bit different here. I don't know. Chris Douglas on Facebook says,
Starting point is 00:34:03 who's next for Trick Williams now that his feud with Baron Corbyn is over? First of all, kudos to Trick Williams. Kudos to Baron Corbyn for making the U.S. title feel big over the last few months. I mean, really, since Trick won it at WrestleMania, it's just like that was a moment for sure, trick winning it at Mania.
Starting point is 00:34:26 It's just felt like it's had a little bit. bit more importance. Like there's a real feud here that we have with Trick Williams and Baron Corbin. The title changing hands a few times having like big meaningful matches like the cage match that kind of like put a nail in the coffin of like, yeah, this feud is over now. But I just, I appreciate that as it stands right now, the U.S. title just feels like there's some meat on the bone there. And I always love the open challenges, but the open challenges are just like, I feel like they really favor who the champion is. And it's hard to really get invested in any of those feuds when it's a new challenger every single week. I'm not opposed to
Starting point is 00:35:14 the open challenge. And I think that the U.S. titles are a perfect spot to have the open challenge. But I also love the idea of like, well, these two guys don't like each other. And here's the reasons why they don't, and let's let this build for the next few weeks to a match that has stakes and is meaningful. And that's what we saw with Trick Williams and Baron Corbin. I think next in line is it has to be Carmelo Hayes. That one makes the most sense. Mello's been chasing the U.S. championship for at least the early part of 2026. And we already know that there's unfinished business here with him and Trick Williams. They wrestled in July,
Starting point is 00:36:00 but Mello still hasn't got that clean Trick Williams versus Carmelo Hayes championship program that I think that their history deserves. So I think that he's the most obvious person to slide right in there, and man, it needs to happen. If for some reason it's not Carmelo Hayes, I'm going to go Ricky Saints.
Starting point is 00:36:23 like they've already made Ricky Saints a credible contender here for the U.S. title. He challenged Trick at Night of Champions. I think the only downside there is we've seen it before. So maybe that rematch happens down the line so it feels a little bit different. But I can make a case for maybe one or two more people, but it's got to be Carmelo Hayes.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Okay? Carmelo Hayes is the correct answer here. and maybe it's after money in the bank, maybe Mello confronts trick. And then we see that storyline play out throughout the month of, I guess the rest of October and end in November, but yes, it's Mellow. Okay, Mellow, it has to be Mellow.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Ross Gauden sent this in on Chris Van Vleet.com. Hey, Chris! With four exclamation marks. Whoa, so that's like, Hey, Chris! Real, real, real, real. real real one here. Absolutely love your show. Help so much mentally when I'm driving all over the southeast of England. Well, I hope we're having a great day driving right now. My question is in two
Starting point is 00:37:34 parts. Number one, what's happening with the John Cena Classic? The WWE made a big deal of this, and now they've gone completely quiet. I hope the belt looks better than the crown jewel belt. Well, I agree with you there. Number two, what's your favorite pizza topic? Many thanks, Ross. I'm glad you brought up the John Sina Classic. I don't have the answer to this, but that is an excellent question to ask. What is happening with the John Sina Classic?
Starting point is 00:38:07 This was announced almost exactly five months ago. Backlash in Tampa in May. John Sina announced this. He laid out the unique set of rules here. And then we haven't heard another thing about it. And I guess I don't understand why it would be announced in May if it's not going to play out till sometime later on in the year. The only thing that can possibly make sense here
Starting point is 00:38:38 was this was a chance to have John Sina on backlash. That was it. John Sina could be advertised on backlash. And John Sina lives in Tampa, so it makes sense. quick drive for him to go over to the arena, cut that promo, hype up the crowd and he did. But where does it go from here? When do we get like the full breakdown of rules? I don't know. There's rumors online, but they're just rumors. There's rumors online that it will be December. December 12th, to be exact, because apparently that is the date that is being
Starting point is 00:39:20 held for this. So we'll see how this thing goes, but great question. What's going on with it? And then favorite pizza topping, it's pepperoni. And I think specifically, it's the little pepperoni cups. And like when they get like crispy peps,
Starting point is 00:39:37 as my buddy, Greg Cousack calls him, I love the little crispy peps. I love a good slice of pizza. So good. Just found a place in Nashville called Frankie's. Man. I could eat 17 slices there. I held myself to just two,
Starting point is 00:39:54 and then maybe a few bites of my kids that they didn't finish, like two and a third. But man, so good. Crispy Peps all the way. Eduardo Morales sent this in on Chris VanVleet.com. Hey, Chris, big fan of the podcast. I love your interview style
Starting point is 00:40:12 and how you let guests actually tell their stories. I never miss an episode. Well, thank you so much, my friend. I wanted to get your take on something that I've always thought. Do you think it's time that we officially consider money in the bank as part of the big four, making it a big five? To me, money in the bank has become just as big as WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, Summer Slam, and Survivor Series. The buildup and the day of the event gives it a big four
Starting point is 00:40:36 feel, and it's had so many career-defining moments. It feels bigger to me than just a gimmick PLE now. I would love to hear if you agree or if you think the big four should stay the big four. Thanks for all you do, Eduardo, from... Moreno Valley, California. I love money in the bank. Dare I say, I love money in the bank more than at least one of the PLEs in the big four. I love it more than Survivor Series. And maybe it's just because of what Survivor Series has kind of turned into over the last bunch of years. But you're right. Money in the Bank has like serious, serious implications. not just for the title picture,
Starting point is 00:41:20 because the idea of like you win money in the bank, there's a good chance that you can go on to become the world champion from that. But also money in the bank has that opportunity to catapult someone's career to the next level. And that's, I think, certainly what's going to happen this year. There's so much new blood, so many fresh faces in both the men's and women's match
Starting point is 00:41:42 that I feel like it's a chance to spotlight the people in the match and certainly who wins that. I don't know if officially we'll ever get to having a big five. I think it will always traditionally be the big four, just historically speaking. But yeah, money in the bank, it matters a lot more than I think people give it credit for. And there's something about it being a little later this year that just, I don't know, it makes it feel, it makes it feel interesting. it just maybe because it's a little bit closer to Royal Rumble,
Starting point is 00:42:22 which then inevitably gets us a little bit closer to WrestleMania, it just feels a little more dangerous. And I wonder if it will continue to be in October PLE moving forward. Because if this goes back to being a July PLE next year, you have the potential because you can hold the money in the bank contract for 12 months. you have the potential then next year to cash in money in the bank at money in the bank, which I just don't think, well, obviously it wouldn't happen, but just the idea of that, I don't think they would get to that.
Starting point is 00:42:58 I wonder if this continues to be a fall-time pre-survivor series thing. It kind of gets us through that hump of like Survivor. SummerSlam is very excited. The biggest party of the summer, two nights, like that's exciting. And I feel like it just kind of dips down and then Survivor's series brings us back up and then dips down and then we get all excited about the Royal Rumble and then boom, we're on the road to WrestleMania. I could see this being a late time thing for sure.
Starting point is 00:43:36 But there's a lot of history with money in the bank. Obviously, it was part of Russellmania for years. then it became its own PLE in 2010. But yeah, I do think that like, it's kind of part of the big five. It's certainly the fifth most important PLE. Like there's no question about it. And I think that the idea of like,
Starting point is 00:43:59 you could cash in that night, you could cash in at WrestleMania. It could be the heist of the century. There's so many variables at play that make it so exciting. Plus, I just love a good, ladder match. I think the ladder match might be my favorite gimmick match or stipulation match. I just, I love high flying stuff. I think it's still crazy that here we are 20 plus years into
Starting point is 00:44:29 having money in the bank type of matches and many more decades beyond that of having ladder matches. And competitors are still finding a way to reinvent it, still finding ways to come up with new ways to use the ladder as a weapon or use the ladder as a catapult or use the ladder as some sort of thing in their offense. It's been really interesting to see. Visit BetMDM casino and check out the newest exclusive. The Price is Right Fortune Pick.

Starting point is 00:45:53 Discover Coffee Plus on espresso.com. Zachari 965 on Instagram says, who do you think will be the first to betray Liv Morgan in the Judgment Day? Is it Raquel or Roxy? Yeah, it's got to be Roxanne Perez for sure. 100%. And I think that this is maybe how we get there. We know that at Money in the Bank,
Starting point is 00:46:21 we're getting Stephanie Vakere defending her world championship against either Becky Lynch or Liv Morgan, whoever wins the match on Monday between Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan. I think that we could go like this. I think Liv Morgan wins. We get the rematch here of Stephanie Vakir versus Liv Morgan. what if Roxanne Perez wins money in the bank cashes in later that night turns this into a triple threat match pins live Morgan to win the championship so it's one way that it could go I don't know if I don't know if it's
Starting point is 00:47:05 going to happen that quickly I would much prefer for Roxanne to have the briefcase, hint it cashing in, but not do it for a little while. Maybe she waits till Liv Morgan becomes the champion again and then cashes in down the road. But both of the people that you've named here, Raquel and Roxanne Perez, they are both on the verge of breaking out. Well, they're already breaking out, but breaking out on their own. They don't need the judgment day. and I think that Roxanne's the first that's going to take off from that. Ryan Taylor on Facebook says, hey, CVV, you talk a lot about Triple H beating Booker T at WrestleMania.
Starting point is 00:47:48 One booking decision that I don't think I've heard you talk about is Triple H beating Sting at WrestleMania 31. Sting's first match in WWE, and Triple H was a made man and didn't need the win. It felt like Vince was getting one last laugh against WCW. What are your thoughts here? I think you're absolutely right that that's a booking decision that they got wrong. Like, you're right, Triple H didn't need the win, especially that laid into his career. Sting making his WWE debut after like a debut that probably should have, could have happened 10-ish years before. Yeah, Sting should have got the win there.
Starting point is 00:48:30 But I think one of the bigger components of this is Sting only wrestled four matches in WW. Four. That's it. So Triple H beats Sting at WrestleMania 31. So that's 2015. Then Sting defeats the big show by DQ in a match that was less than two minutes on Raw. then on that same night, we get John Sina and Sting defeating Seth Rollins and the Big Show.
Starting point is 00:49:07 And then there's just one more match, Night of Champions 2015. Seth Rollins defeats Sting. That's it. And I don't know if Sting's WWE run looks any different if he gets the win over Triple H at WrestleMania 31. Like if the result of that match changes, I don't think that the rest of Stings, WWB run is any different. But if there's a match that you could go to and change the finish of, yeah, that's one of them.
Starting point is 00:49:39 I still think that Triple H. Booker T is the match that I would, well, I didn't Booker T win the title there at WrestleMania 19? It felt like that one should have made sense. But yes, Stings run in WWE should have been different, should have been filled with certainly more wins. But yeah, I would have absolutely had Sting win that match. And the only thing, only other thing I can think of here is I feel like, especially in like the Vince booking days,
Starting point is 00:50:14 Vince would always go against what people thought was going to happen. because everybody's watching Russellmania 31 going, oh yeah, Sting wins. This has been anticipated for so long, Sting being in WWE, now he's having his first match ever at WrestleMania. Of course Sting picks up the win.
Starting point is 00:50:34 And I think that Vince goes, ha, you don't think he's going to win? Well, he's not. That's the only other thing I can think of. And yes, I know there's history with Vince bearing WCW talent, although there's a few they got through, but there's a lot of WCW talent
Starting point is 00:50:52 who weren't given much of an opportunity, and that was that, and that was the end of any push they would have had. But yeah, Sting should have won. Jay Smooks on Facebook says, CVV, yeah, would you rather receive a 30-second Rikishi stink face in the main event of WrestleMania
Starting point is 00:51:17 or be subjected to an unscripted five-minute Paul Heyman shoot promo dissecting your real-life personal flaws. Wow. Well, both would be an honor. First of all, if I'm wrestling Rikishi and we're in the main event of WrestleMania, we're in the main event of WrestleMania. But to be on the other side of a promo with Paul Heyman, the greatest to ever do it.
Starting point is 00:51:50 That's an honor as well. But the fact that it's unscripted and he's just like picking apart things from my personal life, I don't know what he's gonna say. What if he's like pulling skeletons out of my closet I didn't even know existed? What if he starts lying?
Starting point is 00:52:03 What if he starts making stuff up that's not true? I don't know. It's much of an honor that would be. I don't know. I think I'm gonna take the stink face and if there's all of those other legends who have taken stink faces, who am I to say no to a stink face,
Starting point is 00:52:24 especially in the main event of WrestleMania. So Jay, I'm going to go, bring on the stink face. All right, bring on this. It can be 35 seconds. Bring on the stink face main event of WrestleMania. Not Daniel H on Instagram. Wait, if you're not Daniel H., who are you?
Starting point is 00:52:49 Hmm. Not Daniel H says if you could watch Will Osprey versus any wrestler, dead or alive, who would it be? So who's the dream match for Will Osprey? I think if we could open up a forbidden door across all companies, and Osprey has talked about this for years, I think the match is Will Osprey versus Seth Rollins. there's something about those styles that match up. Also, the fact that you put them in there with anybody and you know it's going to be a great match.
Starting point is 00:53:24 If we're going to go with somebody who's not with us anymore, I would love to have seen Will Osprey versus like Eddie Guerrero in his prime. Oh, my goodness, injected into my veins. That would be such a great match. and everybody's talked about how Eddie was the best person they've ever been in the ring with. Like a guy who would just take something so simple and make it look amazing. I would love to see what that match could have looked like. There's a lot of dream matches and that's always a fun and interesting conversation
Starting point is 00:54:08 because their matches will never see, whether it's someone who's not with us, anymore or it's someone who's retired. But it's no secret. I am a big Will Osprey fan. I love the moment that he had at Wembley Stadium. But I've been a big Osprey fan for probably 10 years, the better part of 10 years. So I think often about what matchups I'd love to see or Who Will Osprey would be great in the ring with, but just keep coming back to Seth Rollins. Jimmy smiles on Spotify says, hey, CVV, I'm fairly new to podcasting myself and I'm trying to get my content to break through. How much value would you say there is in having a viral clip? Well, I guess the question here is, what's your definition of a viral clip?
Starting point is 00:55:10 Is it tens of thousands of views? is it millions of views, tens of millions of views. I think that that's a first question you've got to ask. What is viral to you? If you have a thousand followers, for example, and your video gets 10,000 views, you've now reached 10 times the amount of followers that you have. So, like, that's, I think, a certain level of virality.
Starting point is 00:55:36 I've had, like, a lot of clips get, like, solid amount of views. some within wrestling, some outside of wrestling. If you've seen the Anne Hathaway clip, or if you've seen the Woody Heraldson clip, where he figures out that Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth are brothers that happened during our interview, there's also the moment with
Starting point is 00:56:01 Leslie Mann and Dakota Johnson, and there's stuff in wrestling. Like, Mark Henry telling the story of breaking the padlock for real got 47 million views. on the CV Eclipse channel, I think the more important thing is just being consistent. Because if you have one video that pops off
Starting point is 00:56:22 and that's it, then it just kind of falls off from there. Like I think that you need to be able to consistently be putting out good content, content that's going to make people come back week after week after week. And I think that the most important thing you can do as a podcaster, content creator, whatever it is in the online space is just be consistent.
Starting point is 00:56:50 Keep showing up. And I think that like there's this great quote that I love. It's you are the things that you consistently do. If you consistently talk about wrestling on your Instagram, people will pretty quickly within a few months start to associate you with, oh, you're that guy. who talks to wrestlers or talks about wrestling. And I think that that's just really a more important thing. Sure, you can chase the viral views, but like, I don't think they have a massive impact on your podcast, your content as a whole. Sure, there are outlying examples. There are outliers like
Starting point is 00:57:31 Haktua, who has a random street interview that goes viral and changes her life. Those are very few and far between. I think the more important thing is like consistently putting out content that people want to come back to. I think that that's, that should be the focus. It shouldn't be on trying to get a moment or trying to create a moment. Because I feel like especially in this era of content, people can sniff out BS pretty quickly. And I think people can see if you're trying to make something that just doesn't feel authentic. So if an authentic moment happens and you get a great story
Starting point is 00:58:18 that happens to get shared all over the place, amazing. But I think the better thing that you should be focusing on is just every single time that you're putting out content, at whatever pace you're doing it, at whatever consistency you're doing it,
Starting point is 00:58:36 just focus on trying to make today's piece of content better than yesterday's and then try to make tomorrow's better than today and then continue doing that. But the biggest thing is just keep showing up. Just as long as you love it. I'm not saying like this should never feel like a chore. This should never feel like anything more than something fun that you're doing. And if it ever stops being fun and stops being enjoyable, I don't think that you should keep doing it. You certainly shouldn't be doing it if it feels like a chore, but just keep showing up, keep doing the thing, especially if it's fun, and especially if it lights you up and it gets
Starting point is 00:59:21 you excited. All right, that's our final question. On this one, ask CVV number one, 55 feet of Fury Edition, Alexa Plus Edition.
