Starting point is 00:00:00 Ladies and gentlemen, Chris Van Fleet. Oh, man, welcome back to another one here on Insight. It's me. It's me. It's CVV. Chris Van Fleet. Hope it's been a great week for you. Thank you for being with us on this one here today. And thank you, as always, for making Insight the number one wrestling podcast on planet Earth. lay your phone down on a flat surface and hit a big leg drop on that follow button on Apple Podcasts or Spotify or wherever it is that you're listening right now. I don't want you to miss out on any of the big episodes that we have coming up before the end of the year.
Starting point is 00:01:00 I've said this before, but it's worth repeating. Episode number 700 is happening on the last day of the year. December 31st, 2024, New Year's Eve. and it's with one of the most requested guests that we've ever had on the show. Almost every single episode, there's a comment on Spotify or there's a comment on YouTube or I get a message on Instagram or Twitter with someone saying, can you have so-and-so on the show? When are you going to have so-and-so on the show?
Starting point is 00:01:31 Well, the answer, my friends, is December 31st, 24. So be on the lookout for that one. And you might have noticed the wonderful introduction from Lillian Garcia in the intro there on the show introduction. I think we're going to rotate. We've got intros from Justin Roberts, Samantha Irvin, and Lillian Garcia. I think we're going to rotate them every episode. So you'll hear Justin on an episode like you did on the last episode that we had on Thursday. What a great conversation with Ricardo Rodriguez.
Starting point is 00:02:04 You heard Lillian today, who will we hear on Tuesday's episode? you'll have to tune in to find out. But I just think rotating those, this kind of freshenes it up. It kind of keeps you guessing as well. Plus, they all have their own unique style, and I don't have a favorite. I don't have a favorite of like the way that they say,
Starting point is 00:02:27 Chris, Van, Fleet. So we'll just keep rotating them in there. And when you tune in, it'll be a nice little surprise who you end up getting there. Welcome, my friends. to ask CVV number 58, the Jack Lambert and Kim Bo Camper edition. Kim Bo Camper, this is a deep cut here, played for the Miami Dolphins and has an amazing sports bar in South Florida.
Starting point is 00:02:56 I lived in Fort Lauderdale slash Miami for five years. Bo Camper's has the best wings. I am such a big fan of the bone in wings, and this might be a conundice. and this might be a controversial opinion, certainly an unpopular opinion, but boneless wings aren't wings. Okay, I'm sorry. There are some other form of chicken goodness,
Starting point is 00:03:20 and I'm not saying I don't like them. I'm just saying they're not wings. For me, a wing has the bone in it, and it's either deep fried or it's grilled or however it's made and has the sauce on it, that to me is a wing. Bone in is a true wing. And Bo Campers has incredible wings.
Starting point is 00:03:41 If you're from South Florida, you know what I'm talking about here. You know exactly what I'm talking about. When you're talking about wings in that area, you also, of course, have to talk about Flanagan's and brewrooms, brus room. But Flanagan's, bruiserum, and bow campers, my goodness, they are some of the best wings. That's one of the things I definitely miss about.
Starting point is 00:04:04 living in Florida's, those three spots that we're talking about there. So I just thought that was a nice little deep cut for when we're talking about people who famously wore number 58. But I appreciate you guys being here. We've got a ton of questions that were sent in via email CVV at chrisfamily.com, social media. That's the hashtag Ask CVV. And of course, a boatload of comments left on Spotify. If you're listening on Spotify, we just hit 6,200 reviews on their ratings on there. I set the goal of 7,500 ratings before the end of the year. So if you're listening on Spotify, and I know a lot of you are, if you have a free four seconds today, and I would hope that you have four free seconds today, just go on there and rate the show.
Starting point is 00:04:54 It helps so, so much. I think the show's like, I think we're like in the top 20 of all sports shows on Spotify, which is mind blowing to me. Not only is it the number one wrestling podcast on the planet, but one of the top sports podcasts on planet Earth as well. And that's all because of you guys. It's all because you guys just keep showing up and you share the show. And I love hearing people that are like getting messages from people that are like,
Starting point is 00:05:21 I just found out about the show this year. Where's this been? Or I just found out about the show this year. And now I've gone back to episode number one. And I'm listening to all of them. them. That's amazing. I don't even think I've listened to all of them. I mean, I've recorded them. I've been there as they've happened, but I haven't like gone back and listened to them. So you're a step ahead of me if you're going back and listening to all of those episodes. But thank you.
Starting point is 00:05:44 I appreciate you so much. If you could go in there, just go to the main part of the show, the main show page, hit the three dots, dot, dot, dot, dot. And then you'll see rate show as an option and the stars will come up. So that would help so much if you could do that. And we're closing in on a million subscribers on the CVV clips channel. I just want to thank you in advance. Like, what an insane, what an insane year this has been. And if everything comes together for 2025, the way that we're looking for it to come together,
Starting point is 00:06:19 this is going to be, it's going to, 2025 is going to blow 2024 out of the water. So I can't wait for that. And it's all because of you guys. Thank you for being on this journey with me. you for allowing me to bring these conversations into your earholes. Thank you for being a real one and listening right now, whatever it is that you're doing right now. I do not take that for granted. So thank you. Let's dive in. Here's a question from Tyler Drobbski on Facebook. Hey,
Starting point is 00:06:51 CVV, I'd love to hear your honest thoughts on the so-called fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. I have to admit, even though I thought Tyson was going to win, you were right. Jake was the winner. So I put up a poll the week before on both Instagram and on YouTube. And I said, who do you think will win? Not who do you want to win? I said, who do you think will win? And it was 85% on both platforms. It was the exact same number. 85% of people picked Mike Tyson, not as the person they wanted to win, but as the person that they thought would win. I've seen all of the criticism over the past week about that fight. And my biggest question is, what were people's expectations? Like, I'd really like to know, what were people's expectations for this fight?
Starting point is 00:07:45 It's a 58-year-old who hasn't fought a professional fight in 19 years versus a 27-year-old who's in their physical prime. I'm not saying that one of them is a better boxer than the other. I'm simply looking at ages and the physicality here. Mike Tyson's last professional fight was in 2005. Jake Paul was eight years old at that point in time. If you watch that fight, Mike Tyson didn't look so good in it. He lost by TKO in the sixth against Kevin McBride.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Who's Kevin McBride? Well, there you go. He's the last person before Jake Paul that he fought. And last person to beat Jake, or last person to beat Mike Tyson. A year before that, 2004, Mike Tyson got knocked out in the fourth by Danny Williams. If you had seen any of those fights,
Starting point is 00:08:37 I think you might have a different perception on how this fight would have gone 19 and 20 years later if we're looking back on those fights from 2004 and 2005. I understand that when you watch the highlights of Mike Tyson in the 90s, dude is a beast. they didn't just give him the name the baddest man on the planet
Starting point is 00:08:57 because it sounded nice like he was an absolute beast, a monster. The way he moved, it was crazy. But it's just a different game, right? It's cliche. Father time is undefeated. And that's the way it will always be.
Starting point is 00:09:14 But I'm not trying to pat myself on the back here, but I feel like I called this. This is a lose-lose situation for Jake Paul. because if he loses the fight, oh man, you lost to a 58-year-old man, that's crazy. He hasn't fought professionally in 19 years, and you lost to him. What a joke you are.
Starting point is 00:09:35 On the flip side, if Jake Paul wins, which you did, I predicted this as well. Oh, man, you beat a 58-year-old man. What did you expect? The guy hasn't fought in 19 years. He's 58 years old. I've seen all this comment far too many times. It's elder abuse.
Starting point is 00:09:52 We watched elder abuse in there. Again, I go back to the question here. What were people expecting from this fight? And I've seen a lot of comments that this was a fake fight or this was a fixed fight. I think a quick Google search would show you how illegal that would be, especially with all the betting that was taking place on this fight. And we went through the betting lines on last week's S.CVV episode, my bookie, had Jake Paul as the fake.
Starting point is 00:10:21 which I think surprised a lot of people. And of course, when you sign up at my bookie, use the code CVV for a 100% welcome bonus. You can also bet on Survivor Series, which we'll be chatting more about next week. But, you know, the funniest thing about this fight is, yeah, I think that there'll be some memorable things, one of them probably not being the fight itself.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Like the most memorable thing from that fight was that awkward shot of Mike Tyson wearing the Rikishi thong as he walked away after that interview. Right? I think the two big takeaways from the Mike Tyson, Jake Paul fight are the streaming issues from Netflix. And we'll get into that in a second. And Mike Tyson's full moon with that shot. Those are the two big things that people are talking about here. With all of that.
Starting point is 00:11:18 being said, I don't personally know anyone who didn't watch the fight. And it's not like all of my friends or family are big combat sports fans or big boxing fans. This was an event. And they pulled off this event in the biggest way possible. They got a lot of eyeballs on this. This is what we talked about at great length last week. Whether you were a boxing fan or not, whether you were a Mike Tyson fan or not, whether you were a Jake Paul fan or you just wanted to see him lose, people tuned into this because it was the event that was happening on that Friday. Mike Tyson had a great quote after the fight, and I think it kind of sums up the way he fought in that fight and just his mindset. He said, quote, I almost died in June, had eight blood transfusions, lost half my blood,
Starting point is 00:12:16 and 25 pounds in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight. So I won. That's Mike Tyson's mindset about this whole thing. I don't think that we'll see Mike Tyson fight again. I thought that was actually pretty crazy when he was doing the post fight interview with Ariel Hawani. And he was like, like Ariel Hwani, I think was setting him up for like, do you think he'll fight again? And I think he was kind of teeing him up for like, no, man, this was great. This was what it is and, you know, I'm happy to kind of ride off into sunset. And instead, I think unexpectedly, he said, I don't know, I might fight again. I might even fight Logan Paul. It was just so interesting to see that. Like, he just clearly still has that hunger. He still has that hunger. I thought it was
Starting point is 00:13:04 entertaining. It was, if you watched Jake Paul's previous fights, I mean, you can tell he's the real deal. You can also tell that he's only been doing this for about four years. Just again, I don't know what people expected from this. It was what it was. And that leads us into this next question from Brumazzo on Spotify. Ask CVV, are you concerned about raw on Netflix after seeing the issues that the Tyson Paul fight had? I know there'll be a lot less people watching, but still.
Starting point is 00:13:38 And I know it's been a fun trend over the last week to make fun of Netflix. and the buffering issues. And that was so frustrating. It's so frustrating. Some of those memes are pretty funny. They've been hilarious. As an aside to this, I don't know how the buffering was working on your end,
Starting point is 00:13:55 but it would pause for me and then I'd get the 99% on my screen. And I found that if I went back to the home screen, so I hit the back button on my Amazon firestick, went back to the home screen, and then went back into the fight, boom, it started right back up again. But I don't think I didn't,
Starting point is 00:14:11 didn't put two and two together that it was basically paused from that moment. So I would go back to the home screen and then I would go back to the fight and then we'd just pick it right back up from that point. And this happened so many times. I don't know how many times it paused or buffered for you, but it was a lot. Like there was a point in time when it was like every five or ten minutes. So I'm watching the fight and it's like the sixth round or I think it's the fifth round or whatever it was. My friend sent me a message like, no surprise, like Jake Paul won. And I'm like,
Starting point is 00:14:46 oh, that's weird. Like there's still four rounds left or something. And then I just was like, I don't know. Like, did I, am I a little bit behind? And I hit the fast forward button. I was like 20 minutes behind. And I was like, oh my gosh. I thought I was watching live. And because of all the buffering, I was 20 minutes behind. But to answer your question here, I don't think there are going to be issues when Raw goes to Netflix. This isn't the first streaming event that Netflix has done. They also had Joe Rogan's live comedy special. Before that, they had the roast of Tom Brady. There weren't streaming issues with that. There were a lot of people watching this, clearly more than Netflix was prepared for. The official number from Netflix is that
Starting point is 00:15:31 108 million people worldwide were streaming this fight. That is a ton of people. It's a ton of people. If Raw on Netflix gets 108 million people streaming this live, we've got bigger things to talk about than buffering issues and streaming issues. Like that would be insane. I should also point out that the ratings we've been seeing on Raw and USA, a 2-ish million, give or take. I think people are expecting that 2-ish million people are going to tune in on Netflix. And you're not realizing that those numbers,
Starting point is 00:16:08 the two-ish million people that are watching are just on Netflix and just in the United States. This is going to be a global product. It's going to be streaming live globally. Two million people, I think, would be a hugely disappointing number if only two million people tuned in when Raw goes to Netflix. I don't know what the actual number is going to be. It's certainly not going to be 108 million, like the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight. It's also not going to be just two million.
Starting point is 00:16:38 people like they have right now streaming on cable when it's on USA Network. I think it's going to be more than people expect, but it's not going to be 108 million. I don't think there's going to be any sort of issues with the streaming at all. I also think that they learned a big lesson here. Yeah, they're probably not going to have another fight or event that's this big for quite some time, but I think they learned a big lesson here of like, okay, if we thought that, I think 60 million's the number that they thought. Because that was the number that Jake Paul threw out in his post-fight speech. And maybe he was just referring to like United States, like 60 million people
Starting point is 00:17:20 streaming it in the United States. But if 60 million people is what they were prepared for and they got 108 million people, yeah, maybe they were a little bit ill-prepared for that. So I would think that this will not happen again. And the sad thing is that no matter what, what Netflix does and, you know, they've had a great track record up to this point. No matter what they do for the next six or 12 or maybe even 18 months, this is going to continue to be the joke. It's going to continue to be the joke of like, hey, you want to
Starting point is 00:17:54 watch that on Netflix tonight? I don't know. It just might buffer the whole time. And I know it's going in. I've seen these jokes of like, it's funny. I've seen the memes on Instagram where it's like, this is what the first raw Netflix is going to be. And it's like, Cody's in the ring and he's talking. And then the rock's music hits, it's like, if you smell, do, do, do, do, do, and like, because it's buffering and it's pausing. I don't think it's going to be an issue. I would be shocked if there's any sort of buffering issues on Netflix from this point
Starting point is 00:18:29 moving forward. I think that this was an experiment and an experiment. Kind of gone wrong here with, and that's the funny thing. It wasn't just, it wasn't just an issue in certain countries. It wasn't just an issue with people who had bad bandwidth or bad interconnection. This is an issue like all across the board. So I would imagine that they have addressed this so that this will never happen again. Ryan McCartney emailed this one and, hey, Chris, really excited to be in attendance for the live
Starting point is 00:19:01 episode of Insight in Indianapolis on January 31st. keep up the awesome content. I've seen theories of CM Punk being the fifth man for the OG bloodline at war games. I had forgotten that he was the last guy that Paul Heyman spoke to before getting taken out by the new bloodline. What are your thoughts on this theory? Ryan McCartney from Cleveland, Ohio. Oh, H.
Starting point is 00:19:26 And all the people from Ohio just went, I.O. First of all, thank you for grabbing your tickets to the very first Insight Live that's happening, the day before the Royal Rumble in Indianapolis. I'm so pumped for that. We're almost sold out of VIP tickets. So if you're looking to go, the VIP tickets include an Ask CVV that is exclusive to the people who are the VIPs that's happening before the show.
Starting point is 00:19:51 And it's just going to be this. And we're not recording it. We're not putting it out. It will only take place in that room and that room only. So it includes that. I'll be answering your questions there. And then it also includes a meet. and greet with me after the show, which is only included in the VIP ticket. So those are almost
Starting point is 00:20:12 sold out. So if you were thinking about going or if you're going to be in Indianapolis for the Royal Rumble, or if you live in the Midwest, grab those tickets at CVVVTX.com. That's CVVTX.com. I also put a link in the show notes for, I think, the last five episodes. So you shouldn't have trouble finding that. I've also seen these theories, Ryan, about CM Punk. being the fifth man for the OG bloodline. And I like it. I think it adds up. Whoever is part of the,
Starting point is 00:20:43 whoever's the fifth man is a mega baby face. It has to make sense in that way. Seth Rollins turning down the offer, I don't know if that's final. Like, I don't know if that's just part of a bigger thing here. And I also don't know if we're going to find out who that person is. I don't know if we're going to find out, like on SmackDown. down tonight, or this might just be kind of like it was last year with Survivor Series in Chicago
Starting point is 00:21:11 where you go into the match and you don't know who the fifth man is and then I hear voices. Oh, it's Randy Orton. Okay, here he is. Oh, my gosh, he's back. I think it might be one of those situations. So who is the fifth man going to be? Well, can't be the rock. Can't be the rock because the rock's a heel right now.
Starting point is 00:21:30 It wouldn't make sense for him to be teaming with the baby face bloodline as well. we'll call it here. CM Punk makes a lot of sense here. It makes a lot of sense. I also think that Cody Rhodes could make a lot of sense. It's good guy Cody, right? Good guy, Cody, coming in to save the day.
Starting point is 00:21:52 That one makes a lot of sense as well. So I think that if I were to narrow it down to three people, I think you've got a real possibility of it being CM Punk. I think you've still got a pon. possibility of this being Seth Rollins and getting that reunion with Roman Raines, I don't like you, but, you know, I hate them more than I dislike you, you know, that whole thing. And I also think that yeah, Cody Rhodes could go in there and that one would make sense too. Paul Heyman's going to be part of this in some sort of way. And Paul, I know we're all expecting Paul Heyman to turn on Roman
Starting point is 00:22:33 Rain Rains, that feels like it could happen. But I think Paul Heyman plays a big role in that match. But we're going to see. The CM Punk thing makes a lot of sense. And I love that we can speculate about this. And we shall see. I will not be surprised if he's the fifth man. I will be surprised if it's anybody other than the three people who I just listed there. If you've watched any of these interviews on my YouTube channel, you know that I know a thing or two about a good plain t-shirt. It's kind of become my uniform at this point, just a solid black t-shirt or a solid white t-shirt.
Starting point is 00:23:14 I have found the most comfortable t-shirt ever with Viori's Dream Knit collection. The Ponto Performance Tea is amazing because it's so soft and lightweight and has that four-way performance stretch. It's versatile so you can wear it for something like interview or going out. It's also something that I wear to the gym all the time. Same with their Ponto Performance Joggers, which are, oh, so comfortable, I wear them in and out of the house all the time. In fact, you'll never see me in an airport wearing anything else but the Ponto Performance Joggers. Viori is an investment in your happiness, and for anybody
Starting point is 00:23:50 listening right now, they're offering you 20% off your first purchase. So get yourself some of the most comfortable and versatile clothing on the planet. going to viori.com slash CVV. That's V-U-O-R-I-com flash CVV. Jordan Forgis. Am I saying that right? Forgs?
Starting point is 00:24:15 F-O-R-G-U-E-S. First of all, love your podcast. Last week, I shared a post about the Austin Theory podcast, and a coworker of mine who I didn't know liked wrestling, saw my post, and now all we do is talk about wrestling.
Starting point is 00:24:29 Thank you. I love that. like that scene in stepbrothers. Did we just become best friends? Yep. This is amazing. So, wow, it's crazy that somehow this show could bring you guys together. I love that. My question is with the Elimination Chamber coming to the Rogers Center in March, is there any chance that we will get a live CVV in our hometown? I don't want to confirm this. because I'm not sure yet we haven't officially booked anything, but I'll say yes.
Starting point is 00:25:05 It's March 1st. March the 1st is where Elimination Chamber is in Toronto, Rogers Center. It'll always be Skydome to me. The day before February 28th is the day that we are aiming for to do the live show in Toronto. I don't know where. I don't know the time. I don't know any of the details. None of this is official. I'm probably speaking a little out of turn right now. I'm probably
Starting point is 00:25:29 putting the cart before the horse, if you will. But yes, that is the plan. And nothing would make me happier than doing a live show in Toronto, in my hometown, and being able to hang out with all of you guys. So plan on it. Plan on being there. And if Smackdown is in Toronto that night, just like in Indianapolis, and I know this hasn't been announced yet, I'm assuming SmackDown is in Indianapolis the day before the Royal Rumble, just know that my show will be over with plenty of time for you to go to Smackdown. I've had a lot of questions about that. So that'll be the case in Indianapolis, and that will be the case in Toronto as well. So keep an eye out for some announcements on that one. Also, keep an eye out or an ear out for who the guest or guests will be in Indianapolis.
Starting point is 00:26:24 I'll be making that announcement in the next few weeks, but you won't want to miss out on that. So grab your tickets while you still can. CVVVTix.com. Bam, bam, bam on Spotify. Ask CVV, I just got my tickets for Raw on Netflix. January 6th. Who do you think will be there as a special guest? And will you be there?
Starting point is 00:26:47 I think I'm planning to be there. So yes. Let's say yes. As long as everything goes well with baby number two, the due date is December 11th and hoping for a healthy, happy little baby boy and a healthy, happy baby mama, as long as everything goes well with that, then yes, I will be there January 6th at the Intuit Dome. and I kind of feel like I spoiled this last week on Ask CVV number 57. I've actually known about this. Maybe it was a prediction. I've actually kind of known about this for weeks. A friend of mine who shall remain nameless, but they'll know who they are if they're listening right now, and I'm sure you are.
Starting point is 00:27:35 They just shot me a message. You're like, oh, are you going to be at the first raw Netflix January 6th in L.A. At the Intuit Dome, like, are you sure? Is that that's where it is? Yep. Yeah. I'm like, that hasn't been announced yet.
Starting point is 00:27:48 No, no, that's, that's where it is. I'm like, oh, okay. So I've been sitting on this for a little while. And I just kind of,
Starting point is 00:27:55 kind of off the cuff, said it last week, and then a few days later, they announced it. It's like, okay, yep, there it is. So yes, I'm planning to be there.
Starting point is 00:28:02 And this is going to be like a who's who of entertainment, I think. You don't do an event like that to kick off the new year in Los Angeles. without expecting a ton of celebrities to be there. So I think there's going to be a lot of celebrities and special guests in the crowd.
Starting point is 00:28:21 I think there's going to be a lot of celebrities and special guests that are kind of worked into this. It seems like, I don't know if it's official, but it seems like with all the marketing materials, the images they've made and the trailer they just put out, it sure feels like the rock and John Sina and Roman Raines are all confirmed for this. and this to me is going to play out like much bigger than just raw. Like this is going to be on the level of a PLE. I think in terms of the appearances we get, I think in terms of some of the surprises we see,
Starting point is 00:28:56 and I think in terms of the match quality that we see there. Like this is not just a throw away like, oh yeah, it's another Monday. It's another episode of raw. We'll get 51 more of them this year. This is going to be one that goes down in history. history. I don't know what that means right now. What big returns could we possibly have? Charlotte Flair is a big one that immediately comes in mind. Like, if you think about people who are out of action right now, or we haven't seen in a while or are looking to come back, Paul Heyman's one,
Starting point is 00:29:30 I think that will already happen at Survivor Series. The Rock is one. Real possibility that we could see him at Survivor Series as well, or it's raw on Netflix. John Seen is already basically, said he's going to be there. Like that's his first appearance of the John Cena retirement tour. Charlotte Flair. She could be coming back, although I kind of feel like they'd be saving that for the Royal Rumble. Maybe that'll,
Starting point is 00:29:55 I don't know. This also kind of leans into this whole idea of like, the draft feels like it's out the window at this point. People who were Smackdown people are going to be showing up on the first raw on Netflix and people that are raw people. I might have to replace some of those empty holes that are on Smackdown. You guys know how I feel about the draft and how just ridiculous it is. It doesn't make a lot of sense.
Starting point is 00:30:22 And I just, that is going to be on full display on January 6th when Raw goes to Netflix. It's just going to be willy-nilly. These people show up here and those people are on this show now. I think that's going to be the case. But this is going to be big. is raw on Netflix is going to be big, not just in terms of like what this means for just the landscape of broadcasting or streaming moving forward. All eyes are going to be on this.
Starting point is 00:30:53 This is a weekly former television program, but a weekly television program that is saying goodbye to networks and saying goodbye to cable and is now just going to be on streaming. all eyes are going to be on this from the NBA to the NFL to major league baseball to the NHL to just different shows as well like could we go back to a model where we're watching like these shows play out weekly rather than just binging them the weekend that they are dropped could we go back to a time where you've got to watch it because it's live right now And I think that this is going to play out in a very interesting way. And I think that there's going to be a lot of changes that are going to be made in the next,
Starting point is 00:31:47 call it three to five years based on the success of how Raw does on Netflix. And I'm very interested to see how that all goes. I've always been very interested in the inner workings of just the broadcast world. And this just throws another layer on top of it. Josh Unser 89 on Spotify says, real, real one here. I appreciate you, man. Hi, I was curious. If you had made it as a wrestler, with respect,
Starting point is 00:32:17 who do you think your debut match would be against? Well, I did train, right? I trained when I was 20, decided that I would go all in on broadcasting and all in on my college degree, which was a Bachelor of Arts, communication studies. Like always, you know, wrestling would always be there if I wanted to train or whatever. But I think if I were to have my debut match, like if it could be against anyone, I would try to pick the rock,
Starting point is 00:32:43 WrestleMania, but who wants to see a debuting Chris Sharp who they know nothing about against the rock at WrestleMania? That doesn't make sense. Who in the blue hell are you? But if we're speaking realistically here, I would love my debut match to be against someone like Nick Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziegler in WWE, or someone like Austin Theory, simply because they sell on just another level. Like, their selling is so good that my limited wrestling ability, since this would be my debut match, would be overshadowed by how good they were selling. So, like, they'd be making me look like a million bucks, even though I wouldn't be very good.
Starting point is 00:33:31 So I would pick someone who is like the worker's worker, like someone who's like just, and those are the two guys. Like look at the way that they take moves. That's who my debut match would have to be against. Someone who's going to make me look far better than I really am. That would be the match for sure. And of course, I don't care if I win or lose. We're speaking hypothetically here, of course. I don't care if I'm winning or losing that match because those are the type of people that would make you look so, so good.
Starting point is 00:34:01 in those matches. It's one's from Kobe Evans on Instagram. Ask CVV number 58. Since Triple H didn't get the chance to have any official pre-planned retirement match, if you could fantasy book Triple H's last story and retirement match with today's WWE roster, what would you do and who would be involved?
Starting point is 00:34:22 And then you put, I still think it would have been Randy. When do you think Triple H will allow himself to be inducted into the Hall of Fame as an individual? I agree with you. that it's got to be Randy. That's the match that makes the most sense. They've got a ton of history there. They've had a ton of great matches together. And then you go back to like everything with evolution there. And that was really kind of what put Randy Orton on another level and made us go, oh, man, okay, there's something to this guy. I looked up Triple H's last official match.
Starting point is 00:34:54 It was at a house show in Tokyo, Japan. And of course, people won't know this unless you like dove into Triple H's match history. It was Shinsky Nakamura and Triple H against Bobby Rude and Samoa Joe. And Shinsky and Triple H won that match. When we go back to Triple H's last televised match or last match that wasn't at a house show, it's actually his third last match. And it was against Randy Orton. So it's interesting that we're talking about like what would his retirement match be when I guess his
Starting point is 00:35:29 his unofficial retirement match, which ends up being his retirement match, we just didn't know it at the time. It was against Randy Orden. WWE Super Showdown, 2019. When you look at the matches
Starting point is 00:35:44 that he had before that, like, Triple H's last handful of matches in the last year or two of his career, pretty incredible here. Like when we're talking televised matches here, not house shows. Randy Orton defeats Triple H, like I just said, Super Showdown 2019.
Starting point is 00:36:04 The match before that, WrestleMania 35 was Triple H versus Batista, Batista's retirement match. And we got Crown Jewel 2018 and I feel like we can kind of skip over that one. We all know what happened there with Sean Michaels and Triple H against Kane and the Undertaker. But then we go before that one, Super Showdown 2018. Triple H defeats the Undertaker. A match before that, WWE Greatest Royal Rumble, John Sina defeats Triple H.
Starting point is 00:36:37 The match before that, some called the best match at WrestleMania 34. It's the debut of Ronda Rousey. It's Kurt Engel and Ronda Rousey defeating Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. Those are some great matches to wrap up his career.
Starting point is 00:36:53 He kind of got to a point. And I don't know if people saw this or were giving him credit for this, he kind of got to a point like the Undertaker where when he had a match, it was meaningful. When he had a match, you know it was going to be good, you know it was going to be against a big opponent. And like Triple H didn't really, with the exception of that Crown Jewel match, which I don't know, I feel like Crown Jewel for a long time just existed in its own little world. Like it was in an alternate universe and the outcome of those matches and the ridiculous feuds that happened at Crown Jewel didn't really matter.
Starting point is 00:37:29 I feel like that's kind of been rectified over the last year or so. But with the exception of that Crown Jewel match in 2018, Sean Michaels and Triple H versus the brothers of destruction, Triple H didn't like have any stinkers. And Triple H has been my guy for a long time. Like he was one of my absolute favorites during the attitude era. I had a poster of him on my wall. It was like, yes, of course I loved the Rock. at that point in time, but also Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, and Triple H, like, those were the four
Starting point is 00:38:00 people that if they were having a match, whether it was a weekly match on TV or whether it was a pay-per-view, like I had to watch because I love those guys so much. Triple H had like a really great run here towards the end. Obviously, there were the health issues with his heart and he wasn't able to have like that final match of like, hey everyone, just so you know, this is it. this is my final match. But when you look at those last handful of matches, what a way to go. Those are some great matches
Starting point is 00:38:32 against some great opponents. When will he allow himself to be inducted into the Hall of Fame as an individual? I think there just needs to be a little bit of time between the transition of Vince McMahon being in charge to Triple H being in charge. If it happened right now,
Starting point is 00:38:49 of course he is more than deserving of a spot in the Hall of Fame as an individual. individual. Yes, that's absolutely going to happen. I just think there needs to be a little bit more of a buffer of time here. So it's probably not for another few years, three, four, five or more years, where like there's been a little bit of distance. There's already distance between him and his in-ring career because his last match was five years ago. But there needs to be, I think, a little bit of distance between him and the job that he has where people are still feeling out this new
Starting point is 00:39:28 Triple H era. So it's going to happen. For sure, it's going to happen. It's just going to be a little bit of time here. Snake in the Grass 14 on Twitter. Yo, CVV. I love the story you told in the Simon Miller episode about seeing the rock at the arena in Atlanta before bad blood. I appreciate you not ruining the surprise for us by not posting it. Here's my question. What was the point of that return? Like, seriously, he just stood there for a minute and we haven't seen him since. A very valid question. And I appreciate the kind words. And if you didn't listen to the Simon Miller episode, in short, I was just saying like I knew The Rock was going to return that night because we were trying to find the correct entrance. I'm walking around the arena. I was with my good friend, Brad
Starting point is 00:40:21 Gilmore and I was with some other media members. We were trying to find the very specific media entrance. And it was just, it was hard to find. We walked around the entire arena one and a half times. I think we walked around for like almost an hour. And it was so hot. I felt, I felt for Brad. Brad was wearing a suit. Brad is always wearing a suit. And I appreciate you. Brad Gilmore is the co-host of Booker T's Hall of Fame podcast. Great guy. But Brad's wearing a suit. It was so hot in Atlanta. We got lost. We kept asking security people for directions.
Starting point is 00:40:57 How do we get to this? It was like, how do we get to the media entry? It's between gate one and two or whatever it was. We ended up following these directions and ended up on the loading dog. So we're down like kind of underneath the arena on the outside. And at nowhere, the rock drives by. Like just casually, the rock just drives by and is Ford Raptor, the same one that you see all the videos and he has his Florida license place. I've seen this exact vehicle before.
Starting point is 00:41:26 When I've done some junkin interviews with The Rock for some of his movies, it's sitting there. Like he drives to almost everything from the sounds of it. His vehicle, his truck will just be sitting next to where we're recording the interview. So I was like, oh my gosh, like a double take. That's the Rock. The Rock's not just here to be here. So yeah, I knew. It was like an hour, hour and a half before the show. I knew he was there. And then at the end of the show, before his music hits, I don't know if people have picked up on this, the fog from his entrance starts to creep its way into the entrance, five or ten seconds before his music hits. So I was just, I had my eye on the entrance because at the end of bad blood, it just felt like they were buying some time. It just felt like they were in the ring for a little bit longer than they normally would have been.
Starting point is 00:42:19 and I took a look at the entranceway and the fogs started to fill the entrance way and I said to the people next to me, I'm like, I'll watch this. If you smell! And it hit, right? You're right. The rock did. Just stand there. And we haven't seen them since.
Starting point is 00:42:33 And to that, I will say, have a little bit of patience. Okay. This is like being an hour into the movie and going, well, this doesn't make any sense. I don't understand it. Give it some time.
Starting point is 00:42:48 Okay? Yeah, maybe. you don't understand it when you're an hour in. But if it's two hours in, two and a half hours, maybe three, if it's a Christopher Nolan movie, and it all starts to click, you go, oh, now it makes sense. The Rock's going to be a player in this bloodline storyline in some sort of way. Whether that's at Survivor's series or whether it's something that leads up to the Royal Rumble, the Rock was just reminding us at bad blood, hey, don't forget, the final boss is still here. Final boss is still part of this conversation. That's what was going on there. So you're right. Maybe it doesn't make
Starting point is 00:43:29 sense right now, but give it a little time and it'll make sense. Kind of like how things led up to WrestleMania last year. A lot of things didn't make sense. And then, oh my goodness, it all came together and we got arguably the greatest WrestleMania main event match of all time, or certainly one of them. Here's an email from Damien Faulkner. Hey, Chris, newer fan here, and I have just been under a rock or something because I just found out about you this year.
Starting point is 00:44:03 Well, welcome. Thank you for joining us, Damon. My question is, how do you always manage to stay so positive, especially in today's world with the current climate? I struggle most time for the moment. to be positive and it feels like a huge weight to carry around. Any advice? Love your interviews and your shows. P.S. I'll be getting my meet and greet ticket for the show in January and I can't wait to meet you. Well, I can't wait to meet you as well. If you haven't grabbed your ticket yet, grab it now because
Starting point is 00:44:29 they're going to sell out very quickly. The answer for me is just gratitude. Like when you frame things from a point of gratitude, it's hard to be upset. And I also think that like, this is a Tony Robbins quote that I love. When you trade your expectations for appreciation, you'll never be upset. When you trade your expectations for appreciation, you'll never be upset. And I get that like, yeah, easier said than done. I understand that. But if you start with just like a really simple practice of like pointing out the things in
Starting point is 00:45:08 your life that you do have rather than focusing on the things that you don't, things really start to shift. And even if they only shift like one degree, that in the long term, a month from now, six months from now, a year from now, that starts to make a huge difference. I heard an analogy that I love. It's the idea that if a ship is off course by one degree,
Starting point is 00:45:35 so they're heading to something that's, you know, wherever, 100 miles away, and they're off course by one degree. You don't notice it, right now. You might not notice it today or tomorrow or a week from now, but you certainly start to notice that as you get closer and closer. Oh my gosh, we're way off course. And it was just that one little thing that happened back there. And I think that that course correction can also happen for the positive as well. And I get it. We're all dealing with our own stuff,
Starting point is 00:46:02 right? Personally, professionally, there's a lot of stuff going on in the world. And you're bombarded by a ton of negativity on social media, especially and on TV. I get it. I would just say look for the things in your life that juice you up, that light you up, that excite you, and start to do those things a little bit more often. Whatever that happens to be. Now, I'm looking at my guitar that is sitting in the corner of my office right now, and I should probably be picking this up more often. I should definitely put this in a spot where it's, like, easier for me to grab rather than like behind a cabinet over there. But I think it's those types of things,
Starting point is 00:46:42 like the things that bring you joy. And those are the things that like, even if it's just for five minutes using my example of picking up the guitar and strumming and playing a song or two that I like, those are the things that like just bring a smile to your face. Like don't let the bad five minutes or 10 minutes of your day like drag down the rest of it. And I am guilty of this myself, whether it's someone cutting you off or someone being rude or things not going as expected, but like there's so many other great things that are
Starting point is 00:47:18 happening in a day. And those are the things that if you can, if you, if you're able to focus on those, you'll just start to see a really big shift. And again, that's why I end every podcast asking my guess, what are three things that you're grateful for? Number one, because like, it's a great practice to be able to, like, have, I'm curious, what are the three things you're grateful for? That's really interesting. And also it's a good practice for like, maybe someone's never heard about that idea before. And now they're hearing someone who's incredibly successful, multi-millionaire, they're successful for the, or they're grateful for the same things that I have in my own life. What a shift of perspective that is. I boon, oh man, how do we even say this? Ill, I'll buon Farsi. I'm going to just spell this
Starting point is 00:48:16 out. I-L-B-U-U-O-N-F-A-R-C-I on Instagram. I have absolutely butchered that, and I am sorry. I've heard Chris Van Valleet, Chris Van Valiette, Chris Van Vileet, enough times to know how upsetting it is. when someone can't say your name correctly. Your question is, favorite international PLE ever. Love from Italy. Well, hello. Hello, Italy. This is too easy.
Starting point is 00:48:43 My favorite international PLE is WrestleMania 18. Come on. Rock Hogan. Skydome. Toronto. And I know a lot of people go, oh, it doesn't really count.
Starting point is 00:48:53 That's not really an international pay-per-view because it happened in North America. All right. All right. I'm going to go with one of the last two backlashes, then. both of them are so special in their own way. And then there's going to be people that go,
Starting point is 00:49:07 oh, Puerto Rico is not an international. Okay, all right. Then I guess we're just going with Leon France. But shout out to Puerto Rico and that amazing crowd that I feel like really set the tone for what Backlash now needs to be moving forward. But there's a specific moment from Backlash this last year in France. And there were a lot of great moments there,
Starting point is 00:49:28 but there's a specific moment that I get goosebumps. I get like super. emotional when I watch it. And it's the AJ Styles introduction. And the camera shaking. It's so special. And that specific moment, that's one of those moments that you can show to somebody who's never watched wrestling before or they're not a fan. And you say, watch this. Give me 30 seconds. Just watch this right here. And you can see the look on AJ's face. He's doing whatever he can to like take it in, but also still be a bad guy. That. So, So, WrestleMania 18 is the actual answer here, but for people who are not happy with, and that's not really an international pay-per-view, well, that's silly because it is absolutely international.
Starting point is 00:50:18 And I will not have that kind of slander for my home country of Canada. And also, I can't wait to be back in that building. It was called Skydome. It's now called Roger Center, but I can't wait to be back there March 1st for Elimination Chamber. but yeah, WrestleMania 18 is the actual answer to that question. But I like backlash as the like secondary. secondary answers there.
Starting point is 00:50:41 Ray on Spotify, Ask CVV number 58. Hey, real, real one here. First off, I like my pizza plane. Not really a fan of topics. Oh, wow, Ray. Very interesting. So just straight up cheese pizza,
Starting point is 00:50:54 which my wife is from New Jersey. And she was explaining to me that they don't call it cheese pizza in New Jersey. It's a plain pie. It's like, oh, that's very interesting. I was unaware of that. Yeah, last week's episode, I said, drop in the comments, your favorite pizza topping.
Starting point is 00:51:10 Pepperoni for me, straight up pepperoni. Ray says, second off, what are your favorite designs of WWE titles? I've always been biased to the ruthless aggression era designs, especially for the Intercontinental Championship. Thank you for the weekly episodes. They're the reason that I look forward to my commutes to work. Well, thank you, Ray.
Starting point is 00:51:29 it's an interesting thing when it comes down to like what are your favorite designs i think it really depends on what's the era that you got into wrestling nostalgia plays such a huge role in determining what someone's favorite design is so if i had to guess right i'm guessing you're a little bit younger than me maybe you're like early 30s which would make sense which would line up to why with discretion would be your favorite designs. I'm just saying. This, this theory does not apply all across the board, but it applies a lot. Because when you get people that are around my age, I turned 41 this year, they go winged eagle, winged eagle all the way. Because you're tying in those memories of, oh man, who held the winged eagle? Man, I was growing up, man, in the 90s. It was
Starting point is 00:52:18 Brad Hart and it was Hulk Hogan and it was the undertaker. So many people held the championship. was Sean Michaels. And I think that that's where it gets tied in, right? So if you started watching wrestling in like 2010, you might go, man, the spinner's my title. And it's so interesting. I put this poll out on YouTube and Instagram many times. In fact, I will put it back on my Instagram right now. So when you're listening to this, you can go check it out, go to like the CVV feed.
Starting point is 00:52:50 join the CVV feed my broadcast channel on Instagram. You can see that. You can vote on that poll. It is, it's very, it plays such a huge role as to the time that you got into wrestling. So for me, it's the winged eagle. I love that design. And I think that nostalgia is a hell of a drug. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
Starting point is 00:53:12 And I think that when things have that like throwback feel to them, like when the white strap intercontinental championship came back, people were like, oh man that looks like a real title because like that's what you associate with from the time that you started watching wrestling this theory is not going to be right 10 times out of 10 and i don't know what the actual number would be here but there is a real correlation there to when you started liking wrestling and which titles you think look the best and you know there's obviously exceptions to that rule i may be in the minority here but i think the current wwee championship like the one that Cody has looks pretty great.
Starting point is 00:53:53 One of the better designs in recent memory. But Winged Eagle, still, that's my number one belt for sure. Mr. Bug 2724 on Spotify. Ask CVV number 58 as you grew older. What aspects of a wrestling match did you specifically start to appreciate a lot more? For me, specifically, it was things like the ability to sell a move and willingness to take specific bumps. Selling's probably the top of that list for me.
Starting point is 00:54:21 Like, I just, especially since I've got in there and I've taken some bumps, by no means am I trying to pretend like I am an accomplished wrestler. Not at all. I am a barely trained wrestler from a long time ago. But the ability to make sometimes like pretty standard moves look amazing, that's something and also facial expressions. Sometimes just the little. facial expressions too, like a tiny, like Romans really good about like just like a tiny little smirk.
Starting point is 00:54:54 Those are the things now that I'm like, oh, it's all in the nuance and the details. I think those are the things that I like really pay attention to so much more now than I did when I first started watching wrestling. Although I will say that when I first started watching wrestling, I was really, and I still am to this day, I was really focused on. And like, I think one of the details I really started to appreciate was how clean of a flatback bump someone took. And when you look at like, just off the top of my head, a William Regal flatback is like so textbook.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Same with a Bubba Ray or Bully Ray flatback. It's like just so clean. So textbook. That's something that even to this day when you see like a perfectly clean like hits the mat with like every square inch of their body that they're supposed to. I'm like, oh, yeah. Like that always gets me. If there's a certain person you think takes a great flatback every time, drop it in the comments. I'd love to, this can be something we can dive into a little bit more on Ask CVV number 59, but flatbacks are another thing. I was like, oh yeah. Because there's
Starting point is 00:56:12 some people, you know, they fall a little bit to their side or like their arms aren't out. I don't know. There's like, everybody takes bumps in a different way, but there's sometimes when I see a bump, I'm like, oh, clean, clean. Stevie 1065. Hey, CVV, real, real one from Brisbane, Australia. Love your interviews and all your views on the topics brought up during these talks. All of them? No way.
Starting point is 00:56:37 Gotta be something you don't like. Wanted to know, with WrestleMania and SummerSlam moving to a two-night event, do you see any other PLEs doing this? In my opinion, I would love to see it. a two-night Royal Rumble event. I think that a two-night, two-night Royal Rumble is just a matter of time. I would not be surprised if this gets announced
Starting point is 00:56:56 for Royal Rumble 2026. Of all of the events, yes, sure. WrestleMania makes sense, two-night event. It certainly made sense when the world was shut down and it's like,
Starting point is 00:57:07 what else are you doing this weekend? Why not watch double the wrestling? But of all the events, when you've got those two big matches, the women's Royal Rumble, and the men's Royal Rumble, it totally makes sense to split those up,
Starting point is 00:57:22 put them on two separate nights. So I think it's just a matter of time before, maybe even the big four. Royal Rumble, for sure. And I think you could also make a real case here with Survivor Series. You've got the men's Survivor Series match,
Starting point is 00:57:39 the women's Survivor Series match, put one on night one, one on night two. I think we're going to get to a point where the big four, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, SummerSlam, and of course, WrestleMania are all two-night events. And I will not be surprised if it's Royal Rumble next year. It just feels like it makes sense. Tyler Adele on Spotify says, hey, CVV, how did you feel about the official announcement segment for the women's war games match on Monday to open Raw? To me,
Starting point is 00:58:11 it felt a little rushed and doesn't seem like too much as being put into showcasing the women's match for this year. I would love to hear your thoughts about this on the Jack Lambert Chris Le Tang episode. Yeah, it's funny. We were just talking about Survivor Series and now you've asked this question. I was saying this on last week's episode too. Like there's been no buildup to the women's match. And I'm just not a fan of having a match for the sake of having a match. I was never a fan of the hell in a cell pay-per-view. And you just had to throw a hell in a cell match in there because, oh my goodness it's that time of year again and that's kind of what i feel like is happening here with the survivor series match there's just there's no skin in the game here like there the bloodline
Starting point is 00:58:53 match is telling a story like and i feel like the bloodline match at survivor series has been building for months before it was officially announced it's just kind of like oh yeah well that's eventually going to come together to further this bloodline storyline but i've never been a fan and this even happened last year at Survivor Series with both the men's and the women's match. It was just like a match for the sake of having a match. And that's not to say it wasn't entertaining. It's not to say it wasn't a good match. You're just not as invested when you're just taking 10 random people and going, well, you guys don't really have a storyline going on right now, but we need a match. So let's throw it all together here. And I get that this is how it works. And I get that when Survivor Series rolls around,
Starting point is 00:59:41 you have to have the five versus five match because that's how it works. But there should have been something to get us invested here more than two weeks before the show. Like this should have been something that we were seeing seeds being planted a month ago, two months ago, three months ago, whatever it happens to be. And then when they announce it, you go, oh, yeah, no, of course. That one makes sense. I totally get why that would be the match that we would be the match that we would. see here. But that's not the case. Instead, we're just seeing 10 people that are being thrown
Starting point is 01:00:18 into this match. And it's like, yeah, I guess. Like, I suppose that makes sense. There's five baby faces and five heels. I'm sure the match is going to be great. Get 10 great competitors, 10 great athletes in there. But I just wish that we could be a little bit more invested in that one. Jake Vera on Spotify says, Hey, Chris, big fan and absolutely love your vibe and podcast. My question is, if you were able to have this podcast in any era of professional wrestling, which one would you choose and who would be your first guest? Very interesting question, Jake.
Starting point is 01:01:02 So if we're assuming that podcasting were to be able to exist in the 80s or the 90s or the early 2000s, I would still pick this time. I started the audio version of the podcast in 2019, and I feel really grateful slash very lucky that I was able to start my YouTube channel in 2011, like before YouTube was really a thing, before the big boom of YouTube. And I say that as my answer, that now is actually the time. This currently is the time that I would pick because starting the YouTube version of the podcast in 2011 meant that I had a 13 year head start on anybody who started a podcast in
Starting point is 01:01:47 2024. And then the audio podcast starting in 2019, that means I had a four-year head start on anybody who started a podcast this year. Five-year? Because it depends on what point in 2024 you started that podcast. But I would have a five-year head start. And so I think that that's a really big thing in just content creation in general. It's one of the biggest things I talk to people about when they ask for advice. Like, consistency is the key. Your first episode's not going to be very good. It's going to suck.
Starting point is 01:02:18 Your second episode's also going to suck, but it's going to suck slightly less than your first episode. And then your third episode, yeah, that'll suck too. But it'll suck a little bit less than number two. And, you know, and you just continue on that trend. So I just feel really lucky that I was able to start this when I did by just sheer great timing and also working in broadcasting and having the ability to talk to a lot of these wrestlers when they would come to the various cities promoting raw or smackdown or a PLE or TNA or whatever
Starting point is 01:02:51 it happened to be. But then when wrestling had this swell of popularity over the last year or so, it was just like lightning in a bottle because now you've got a podcast who's been around for four or five years. You've got a YouTube channel that's been around for 12 or 13 years. And now you're able to go, okay, I get how this works. And I'm also very lucky to dip into you got a lot of very talented people who are still currently doing it. And I've had the great opportunity to speak with a lot of them. And I also have the opportunity to speak to a lot of legends as well.
Starting point is 01:03:31 It's like the perfect balance. So like you can talk to the people who are still doing it in the ring right now, like Ray Mysterio or Edge or John Cena or Cody Rhodes. And at the same time, I'm able to have conversations with people who are either in the Hall of Fame or future Hall of Famers who are like Dave Batista or The Undertaker or Booker T or Ken Shamrock or Goldberg. Like, man, how lucky am I? How lucky am I to be able to dip into like arguably the two most popular eras of all
Starting point is 01:04:05 time in the attitude era and whatever we want to call this era. I am insanely lucky and that's why back to the future is my favorite movie of all time. It reminds you that moments and life matter, that like timing is everything. And I've been just by sheer luck, I've been very lucky to be able to do this right now. So that's my friend, I think, would be my answer. And that is the final question. for Ask CVV number 58, the Jack Lambert and Kim Bo-Camper edition. Thank you guys for all of these questions that you've sent in. If you've got a question for Ask CVV number 59, if you've got a suggestion for what edition of the show that should be,
Starting point is 01:04:52 send it in. The email is CVV at chrisfanveli.com. Send it in using the hashtag AskCVV on social media. Or, of course, leave a comment. I think that our last week's episode was the second or third. third most commented episode of all time for the show. So I appreciate you for that. And we'll wrap this up with a quote from Martin Luther King Jr. that I love. You don't have to see the whole staircase just take the first step. Be great. Be grateful. My friends, have an amazing weekend. We'll see you
Starting point is 01:05:27 on the next one for some more insight. The Hammer Alley podcast, an 80s flashback mockumentary. Back in the 80s there were a thousand bands trying to make it in the world of rock, but there was one band that had it all. Hammer Alley. Whatever happened to Hammer Alley? How did they go from top of the rock? I'm looking for a music video. They're a band
Starting point is 01:05:49 from 1987. Hammer Alley. Ever heard of then? To Rock Bottom. Dude, I was born in 1987. Uh, I can't believe he's doing this. Hammer Alley. Follow and listen on your favorite platform.
