Starting point is 00:00:01 And welcome back to another one here on Insight. It's me. It's me. It's CVV. Yeah, it's Chris Van Fleet. And there are so many wrestling podcasts out there. It seems like a new one is popping up every single day. So I appreciate you for being with us on this episode.
Starting point is 00:00:37 And thank you for helping to make Insight the number one wrestling podcast on the planet by listening to the show, sharing it, leaving a rating, and leaving all those comments that you do. on Spotify. Thank you. And I think two words can best describe today's episode. Oh, yeah. That's a little bit like macho man. But you know what I'm doing here. Otis was an absolute blast to talk to. And this came as a total surprise to have him on the show. I did an interview with Chad Gable earlier that day. And he was like, who else are you doing an interview with while you're here in Minneapolis? I said, oh, well, Jesse Ventura tomorrow, he goes, would you want to do something with Otis? He lives just down the street from me. Let me, let me call him. Let me, let me see if he'd be interested.
Starting point is 00:01:22 And then I said goodbye to Chad Gable. Thank you so much for the interview. That was so fun. And if you haven't checked out that one, man, what a great conversation with Chad Gable. Check it out a handful of episodes ago. But then, next thing you know, my phone is ringing. It's an unknown number from Minnesota that I didn't have saved. I pick up the phone. And all I hear is, Christopher, it's the dozer, babe. And long story short, a few hours later, Otis came over the exact same spot where we did the interview with Chad Gable and we just had a blast. I didn't realize it until he mentioned it, but this was his first podcast ever. So I hope that you enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed him just talking and telling stories and everything that Otis has going on in the Otis universe.
Starting point is 00:02:15 So snap a screenshot, tag us so we can share it. He's at Otis WWE on Twitter at Otis underscore WWE on Instagram. I'm at Chris Van Fleet and buckle up. Prepare for this one and enjoy it. Please welcome the one and only Otis. You said you won't talk this closer. It's my first podcast experience. It's your first podcast experience?
Starting point is 00:02:45 I think so. Welcome. Wow. I'm honored. How's the temperature in here? Good, big, real good. I had two requests from you, which I've never had before. One, you got AC in there?
Starting point is 00:02:57 Yeah, yeah, we got AC. Make sure it's in like, I don't know, 64. I'm like, what's a good number in between? Because I'm like 58. Oh, you're 58. Yeah. If it's getting negative 10, crank up to 68, but that's only because the counterfeit getting a little cold, you know, and yeah, it makes a food cold. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:14 And then request number two was make sure you got a strong chair. Oh, babe, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yes. Have you had issues with chairs? All the time. I remember there was a specific time where we're having catering after a UK show. Maybe it was in,
Starting point is 00:03:27 it was in Ireland, yeah, because I remember Kobe got Guinness too. And then Kobe's like, hey, pull up a chair, big guy. And I go, I can't. I go, why?
Starting point is 00:03:36 He had a straws. He's like, I never had a thought, never thought about that. You guys, I think about it all the time. I go all the time. Got tested out.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Before you sit down on any chair, you got to go. Yeah, I mean, unless I'm, you know, with the boys, I'm going,
Starting point is 00:03:50 yeah. But, like, you know, yeah. Usually I'm like, when I'm going to tiss us out. What's your legit weight? 360. Jeez. I mean, excellent. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Right? What's the correct response to that? I don't even know. Yeah. Yeah, we got work with my, my, uh, my, uh, big dietician. Alex, Alex Shelley, sorry, but I'm botching your name, hun. But he actually just tells me with D basically, like a child. So anything with beef or cheese, we just got to, you know, do the right time.
Starting point is 00:04:16 But yeah, I was, I was at a time 420. Yeah. So, yeah, I got down on how much weight. that is. It was that 50, 50 body per cent. We did the body comp. Yeah, yeah. Stand on there and you touch the gimmicks. So yeah. Yeah, like your BMI. BMI stuff. Yeah. So it's always great on paper. What, how many calories are you eating a day? Four thousand something. Something like that. Like that's every day. Yeah. So I get like you said my sandwiches. Greek yogurt is like awesome because like I'm a big mayonnaise guy. And that was been my replacement for
Starting point is 00:04:46 sandwiches, which is good because it's like it goes with everything. Right. Yeah. Yeah. So it's a I mean, yeah. Basically, yeah, just burgers are not, you know, a burger you would want out. But, you know, an athlete burger. Were you a large baby? Like, did you weigh a lot when you were born? My sister, who's the smallest one of the family, she was like seven pounds and I was the same weight. Yeah. So Phil was like, think nine something.
Starting point is 00:05:10 My other brother, Phil. And when was your growth spurt? So I was this size already. What about eighth grade? Basically the same height and obviously lighter because amateur. wrestling but uh but yeah just same yeah i hit puberty really young really young like third grade it was bad i remember i got like the terrible acneum under my eyes i had to get popped every night like just doctor's just like you're insanely just and i'm just like yes and you're like
Starting point is 00:05:38 i was built to be a wrestler kind of yeah like not and i don't just mean a pro wrestler like built to be just a wrestler wrestler yeah i got into wrestling said first grade i you're in a central middle school oh yeah central is that there exists that there exists that there exists but every time you did cardio or had a match there, you're coughing up dust. They were the dirtiest mats. It was Youth League. And I saw Royal Rumble 97 with the two Luchador midget brothers that were working.
Starting point is 00:06:03 I thought there were kids. So I said, hey, Ma, sent me up for wrestling because she just happened to mention it when she got home from work. And then we get there and I just see mats. And I'm like, where's the ring? And my mom has got a very, very certain tone as he knows. She goes, there's no goddamn ring. This is real wrestling, son.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Now, go over there with your team. You're purple. I was purple every year. I wanted to go with the gold team because they kept winning. Like out of like overall teams. You remember that stuff, right? Like, oh. It wasn't a team where it's like everyone was soft.
Starting point is 00:06:35 But somehow you fell in love with amateur wrestling. Oh, you're damn good at it. A little bit, yeah. Yeah. I got accomplished as much as I probably wanted to. But then again, the love was kind of lost there about two years. And Gabe could say the same thing. I mean, he knew I was kind of done with it.
Starting point is 00:06:50 because again, I was getting at the point where it was like, man, it's like doing all this time. You're not getting, you're not placing first. You're getting second, third, seventh, some tournaments, you know, and just get frustrated. Then when I saw him start in NXT, I was like, oh, man, if he's going to do it, I'm going to do it. So he's kind of the key there, little missionary. Was he the one who got you in to WWE? Kind of just like, I know Briscoe for years, Gerald Briscoe. So he would come to every, you know, in Civil League national tournament, every U.S. open for
Starting point is 00:07:20 record one wrestling and just scouted scouting but you know it'd be briscoll style you know he'd be sitting there with upper upper decker dip in and you know all right i'll talk to you right and i think he goes you senior yet and i kept the it was this question every year i said no sir not a senior yet i'm hoping to graduate and then the last of my son would go general i'm failing college i kind of need to try out i don't need i mean it's just kind of like i don't know where to go from here like it was oh it was so bad because every, I couldn't pass like elementary algebra. So the college was, I was doing a D2 college in CSU Pueblo. And they said, well, I got to pay for your own in community college. I'm like, what am I doing that? Like, it was just like, couldn't pass the math course. So I was about six
Starting point is 00:08:04 current short from graduating, but I was like, I don't know, my focus came just on wrestling at that point. So WWE in a sense, like kind of got you out of the situation you were in, or at least the tryout did. Oh yeah. It was, it was a long, it was like a kind of a process because it was moved back I think twice. So at that point, I was like, Brisco said, get in contact with a guy who got a recently release at that time. Sam Yiddell, six guns. And he goes, he goes, I recruited him.
Starting point is 00:08:31 He's a briscoe boy. Get your footwork going at the school or find a school. It's like, all right. And I ended up just going to Denver. And I just met this guy named Matt Yaden who was worked at TNA office. And I was like, hey, man, I can't really afford like the money to pay. I could pay you half. If I got to drive like three hours to get here for practice and shows,
Starting point is 00:08:53 is that cool to pay you half? Oh, absolutely. So I say it's couch a lot. So it was kind of like that. It was a fun six months of learning the roads. So my trial was probably three months into me doing running ropes and stuff like that. Only three months in. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:08 But I didn't tell anything. Like I didn't mention anything I had experienced in a ring. So I remember the first time they're like, all right, run the ropes. They're no teaching us. You know, like Billy Guns hit the ropes. Sick as hell fast. He's jacked. He's like, that's how you do it?
Starting point is 00:09:20 And we're like, all right. I remember Lacey Evans was in front of me, too. So she's in front of me, she hits the ropes. And I get in there and I'm like, all right. So I started hitting the ropes. And never Matt Bloom goes, oh, surprise. I'm like, yeah. I'm not blown.
Starting point is 00:09:42 You have insane agility for a man of your size. I guess so. I don't know. I knew what I do was dancing. That's all you do? Yeah. Shake the hips. You know, if you want the buck steps here, boy, I hit you right there.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Right in the mouth. See that, babe? Termination. Is everybody, babe? I've been getting this a lot. Yeah. Let's get to the point now where with my dogs. Like, babe.
Starting point is 00:10:10 And like all three come. I'm like, well, there's only room for two of you. And I was going to have you between the legs. Okay. I'm like, so it's getting at the point there. I think Coley would say too. And especially with Gable, like, when we were traveling, he'd be like, you just babe me? Said, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:28 Why? I don't know. I'm saying that a lot. If we peel back the curtain here, the whole reason that this happened today is Chad Gable was just here a few hours ago. And he goes, oh, since you're in town. He was scared of me. He goes, since you're in town, you should do something with Otis.
Starting point is 00:10:44 Yeah, he lives not too far from here. I'll get my call and make this happen. And then no sooner, like five, ten minutes later. Yeah. I see a Duluth, Minnesota number on my phone. I answer it, and I'm like, hello? Hey, that's the dozer. Oh, no, no.
Starting point is 00:10:59 You didn't see the F word part. I was like, oh, yeah, first time on the phone with this guy. I'm going to set the toe in your voice. Yeah, babe, we're going to do this thing, baby? That's where it gets to the point. Like, say, like, I get out of delivery, and it's always like a prime guy. He comes up and goes,
Starting point is 00:11:18 hey, I love because I have like, it's kind of bad because I really set my house to be just complete Halloween all year around. And the problem with that is you don't everybody know
Starting point is 00:11:25 when your address as much, but the same time if someone moves in the cross-the-chute, they go, oh, you're the guy, the crazy guy that has all year-round Halloween stuff. I go,
Starting point is 00:11:32 it is me. They start saying that's, that's Otis's house. So now it's like, dang it. Now my social Halloween has exposed me. Everybody come over. All that,
Starting point is 00:11:40 man. But yeah. The dose, just introduce yourself. his dozer. Yeah, that nickname started because anyone getting in, like, with Tucky, it was funny because when he first met in, like, uh, NXT, he's like, yeah, he's like, yeah, you know, always do like, I know the side sweep.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Like, I didn't know anything side about it. I just go straight forward. And I remember, uh, Dax Charles gave me the nickname at first. The first he was calling me the bone crusher was very annoying. So, hey, bone crusher, you be my heavyweight. So he talks from New Orleans. So he had a big dip in. And he's just like, you know, I'm going to call you the bulldozer.
Starting point is 00:12:15 And I went, I like it. So then it was nice, easy to chant, you know, especially at home meets, you know what I mean? It's always a big, big thing to heavy weights go up there. Like, they're going to be like complete shit show or complete just battle. You never know, never know heavy weights. So I talk about from experience myself. How did you get the name Otis? I had three decisions.
Starting point is 00:12:36 So I gave him about like 12 lists. I was like, man, this one sounds good. And they were like, no, I don't want it doesn't sound good. And I was going to do, there was a cannon, It was a previous cannonball before, so I could do cannonball. So it was like, the list was Dozer. Terry Duke's Otis Riker was like the top three. Then I don't hear nothing for a while.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Then we're actually in the ring, had TV at the full sale. That TV's at full sale. And I get this rub on my calf. I think it's one of the referees. I'm just like, hey, get off my ass. And it's just Hunter. Just, hey, talk to you. Pulls out this little piece of paper with you about this.
Starting point is 00:13:14 And I'm like, Otis, the dozer, dozevic. He goes, eventually we'll call you dozer. But just because I want to give you a real name. Oh, cool. So, of course, we tried pushing the dozer and still just became Otis. So, yeah. You had a much longer. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:13:32 Our first, our first match, I think, in the main, in the main roster was, Tucky goes, where's our last names? And the announcer, I think it was Dasha at the time. she goes, oh, no, just as Otis and Tucker. I go, we lost her last names down. Dozer's goodbye. So, yeah, it's kind of like a nickname, I guess. I mean, yeah, if you called half the boys,
Starting point is 00:13:53 they'd be like, oh, it's Dozer, yeah. Hang up the phone. Heavy machinery is a fantastic name for a tag team. And they, and they didn't, I remember Hunter was like kind of questionable about it because it's hard to say that without a lot of people immediately are thinking like, oh, hard hats and I don't know, why I'm CIA, dude, I don't know. Like, just, I mean, we, what we meant was we're two big boys that can go, you know, like, we're just like,
Starting point is 00:14:18 especially Sean Hayes behind us at the time. He was like, you just literally getting off. I'm like, all right, we want to do this and see if you guys can do it with your body weight. And like, we just started killing numbers in the gym. Because, of course, at the time, it was Lars Sullivan in this one rack in the middle. We called the big man wreck. It was Lars Sullivan, Mike Rawless. I don't know their work name, sorry. But, um, me.
Starting point is 00:14:39 And then it was tuckie. So like, there was always just like competition. there and like so we knew we could go like where cardio was there and like just the heavy machine just fit and then we tried like t k oed which was tk's initials they just add the o is odis so we took a night otis into a d but no yeah it was basically basically just said you can call wherever you want though as what tucky said we are heavy machinery we are he hit this desk like this heavy machinery took he's very emotional it's a fantastic name it was it tells you all you need to know about you guys yeah and and it's a
Starting point is 00:15:13 just beating him too. Like I remember, uh, I just got off like a like bad relationship. Like so before I got hired, I got, uh, I got like,
Starting point is 00:15:22 got like I got like a broken hearted by eight year relationship with my first fiance. And, and, and I remember, I don't know if I was selling or something like, like after practice and Tucker walks in. We had like a little cafeteria and he goes,
Starting point is 00:15:32 he's like, hey, heard you lost, uh, you know, you got dumped. I go, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:38 Yeah, you feel like a piece of shit. I go, yeah, feel depressed a little bit. I thought you know who's going to love you again? Yeah. It'll pass.
Starting point is 00:15:46 They just left. I'm like, the next thing I know, like we're tag team. What a pep talk. Yeah. I'm just sitting there eating my ground beef because that's all I do. It was just ground beef,
Starting point is 00:15:55 you know, with a bunch of hats ass. And just like, well, okay, you'll pass. Are you the type of guy who packs your meals when you travel? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:16:03 but not like body guy-ish. It would be like, what, like 20 bison patties in a bag. And I just, I'll look like a maniac before I get a gym. You guys got a microwave? Yeah, I was pull out this massive bag of beef.
Starting point is 00:16:15 You know, like, Fergian makes it real pretty, obviously, Finn Baller. And Gable has it, like, right to the, right to the centimeter. So, yeah, I got a pack. Just 20 bison patties. Yeah, I just, you know, I got my bread, loaf of bread. I pack it perfectly between my clothes. So as it gets smushed. Well, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:33 I guess, I said, I eat like child. So I need, like, bread. I can't do rice and chicken every meal. So you're not arriving to the town and then having to find somewhere to buy food or fast food join or something. I do with breakfast still. Okay. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Got it fresh eggs, baby. There's a fantastic continental breakfast in this hotel. Well, the holiday inn. Well, it's Holiday Inn. It's a holiday in. It was a Snoop. No, it was, uh,
Starting point is 00:16:55 No, I missed this up. No, it's a young. Yeah. Oh, it's Chingy's a Chingy. Chingy. Chingy. I don't know anything about rap. Sorry, guys.
Starting point is 00:17:05 But, uh, Chingis definitely, do you have a phone? Could you look this up for us? We have cold a board sure on the case. Ching is definitely, Ching is also the right thar guy. He was my first ever... I think he's the same guy.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Yeah, just Chingee, yeah. He was my first ever celebrity interview. Oh, no, she was. Chingy, yeah. But he was, I think it was featuring Chingi, was Holiday Inn. Who sings? Everybody less sings, can be like,
Starting point is 00:17:23 come on, it's... We're getting it here off. This is amazing that you brought a... I thought Snoop was at least featured in that. We're about to find out. Luda was in that? Oh, it is a Snoop sign. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:37 So it's Snoop. I got it right. Amazing. Dawkins would be so, so, so, so, proud. That was incredible. They'll talk about like, it would be like the prophets talking to be LA night. I'm trying to think exactly shenanigans in the locker room, but they'll be talking about this. And I'm like, I don't know anybody talking about. This is my era. Lost my mind. What are you normally listening to? Always, always like 80s rock. Oh, yeah,
Starting point is 00:18:04 I'm always hard, hard, baby. It's got to be, and getting more into like soul music, like more jazz now, randomly. So I'll get, like I said, I'm like, I'm weird. I don't know. I'll, I'll like a fared hot sauce for like 10 months. And I'm like done with it. I go to a new hot sauce. I just got my weirdo. So right now it's Chilulu, babe. Oh, look, you want me eggs and black pepper, babe. Oh, yeah. And yeah. So it's like, I was talking about there. Your music. The music. Yeah, dude. So like it's, but then like, uh, when I was raised with, uh, my sister, she was like the room there and it was always Nirvana and Marilyn Manson. And it would be the weirdest thing to open her door, just be a picture of Marilyn Manson just naked. Just like,
Starting point is 00:18:45 you know, but that, not naked, but that, you know, that body suit thing, you know, like the Buffalo Bill one, you know, sorry, I'm pointing, but the, Garnage. But the, like, it's like, I would like, but she would throw in some, like 80s in there, like, arithmetic, like, you know, like sweet dreams, then all of a sudden, some roaring music. So I have a love for heavy metal too. I think they're the same fans as wrestling, especially. Yeah. I'm getting more into, more into, like, Outlaw, country that I don't even know about. Again, like, I'm all kind of new to this world, but I'm always older. Everything's old.
Starting point is 00:19:15 Like, I mean, I'm Beatles guy too. And yeah, it's just, I mean, ACDC, anything that gets you rocking, it's the blood flowing. You know what I mean? You know who else are the same fans of wrestling? Horror fans. Yeah. A lot of cross over there. A lot of cross over.
Starting point is 00:19:30 Oh, yes. Oh, yeah. It's definitely crazy how the community, just like, you go like a Comic Con or Orlando's, a spooky empire. Yeah, yeah. Everyone's just like, oh, oh. And like, they're just like, you know, They're basically the same kind of business.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Just like, hey, we're selling this merchandise. And we're, you know, we always get treated great at those comic cons, like, especially the horror ones. I would have to say horror franchise. Okay, we'll start there. You mean, you said horror franchise.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Yeah, yeah, sorry, I'm sure. Yeah, yeah. And then we could go, if it's just a horror film, we can go with just a horror film. Well, I got to say growing up that Friday of 13 was very good to me, especially going through early puberty, like I said. A lot of good memories there during the sex scenes as a child. Because again, like back then, you rent movies back then. You actually had to go to a store and actually pick three movies for the weekend. And so it was just like always had a Friday of 13th.
Starting point is 00:23:45 Love Jason and all that. So I would say Friday 13th. Besides, takes Manhattan kind of sucks. So did Jason go to hell. It was like, I want Jason. I don't want somebody else. Yeah, there were some rough ones in there. Yeah, rough ones there, but always had great boobs.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Sorry. Sorry. What about just a standalone? Like, you just want to be terrified. What's the movie you had that cemetery? Because I read that movie when I was, I was introduced to a lot of this because they had two or siblings. So they're both like in their teens.
Starting point is 00:24:15 And I'm like this chubby little kid just like, yeah, potato chips and, you know. And like I would just watch any movie they'd watch. It was no like parental, you know, guidance. My mom was like, hey, what's on? And like my dad goes, I don't get it. I don't get. It long as some action movies. Like it was just, my dad's from former Yugoslavia.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Yeah, yeah. So he's basically like a twin of Robert Teno, he's the same mole in his face. And now he's growing his hair out now. So yeah, he's a real role. Yeah, the boys love him, love him backstage for sure. So there was, you could just put on any movie then. Put it on there. And I just, just like was mesbrived to all these movies and classics.
Starting point is 00:24:48 I remember just, like I was, I was telling the story to Gable once I remember I'm coffee. And I was like, my mom would sing, come together. But she would say it like differently. So she wouldn't say shoot me. She'd say shang dong dula do like a gallon of hairspray. Just getting ready for work. She was a waitress. I'd see here.
Starting point is 00:25:09 And I'd be like, man, I might see that someday. Like just all she would be moving, dude. The next scene won't get your goddamn backpack. Let's get fucking going. It was like, oh, oh, sorry, it's mesmerized by performance. So now I'm just a brat kid going in for the school bus. Remember your earliest memories of watching wrestling? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:27 I remember my first, I only remember because it was Raven. I was, my dad was cutting up stuff for stew. We weren't cutting vegetables because our vegetables were baked beans back then. There was a bunch of random, like, garlic stuff I've even heard of. He's chapping it up. I'm just watching Thunder. And I just remember being like, I don't know, I just loved it ever since.
Starting point is 00:25:46 And I haven't watched Raw yet. But I grew up kind of like in that, you know, attitude era. It was like WCW. So I watched WCW. And I watch. Because you always be like, it was cruise weights going on right here.
Starting point is 00:25:58 Then the next thing you know, you got Sable. It's just like, oh my God, stay at Sable. Yeah, I was looking back and forth right on Monday. You know,
Starting point is 00:26:05 and like, and I was the biggest too cool guy. Oh, yeah. That was, I remember meeting Scottie for the first time. He's working a, an indie show in Procter, Minnesota at the fairgrounds. And he must have thought I was working him.
Starting point is 00:26:16 So we just like, but it wasn't like we snuck in. We just walked in. It was almost when they were building the ring and we were just walking in. And hey, Scott, and he goes, hey, we want to do tonight? I'm like, oh, no, I'm scared to tell you. I just won, as I just won the Fargo National Championship 2009, I did the worm on the stage. So I got the whole, so I fucking threw the fucker, got him on his fucking head, got the points that that I just dropped.
Starting point is 00:26:39 And I remember the referee was going to do some shit because I wasn't, he was, supposed to have your hand raised pretty soon. During a wrestling match. No, no, after, after. Oh, but still. Oh, no, yeah, get business first, business first. When the head goes, the body goes. Boom.
Starting point is 00:26:51 So, yeah, we just go, but like, yeah, we, I just go, yeah, did you were my doctor, won the national championship? He just kind of figured, like, oh, this guy is, this guy's a worker. Let's get him out of here. But he didn't really sit up there. So we didn't get into the show later on. They ends up being my coach at NXT. So I was crazy.
Starting point is 00:27:07 But, yeah, I know, like a lot to Scotty because, like, for some reason, just some guys click with you when you're a kid. You know, I loved all the rikishi stuff. Also, yeah, I've been too cool. And Grandmaster's Sex. It was one of my, I took a, there was a, there was a crappy version I did. It was called Booty Tang. I had the same goggles on in the du regs.
Starting point is 00:27:24 There's footage somewhere. We have backyard wrestling videos somewhere. So, yeah. Did you learn how to do the worm because of Scotty too haughty? So yeah, I saw that, but I remember it was called the sock hop in Cooper Elementary School. My mom goes, we can get your ass out of the house. You're watching too much horror movies. You're watching too much damn wrestling.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Get out of the house. I'm going to take you the sack cop. That was a sock cop. The parents are form of dancing. And we get in there and like, of course, you know, it's typical. I'm not going to dance with a girl. It's kind of like fifth grade and, you know, I'm like, all right. So I walk up to the DJ in the city.
Starting point is 00:27:58 Excuse me, sir. Do you have battered up by Nelly? He's like, yeah, but I wasn't planning on playing that. Play it next. Walked away. Next thing I know, I'm just. waiting for the song to play. But 10 more Pocas songs came on.
Starting point is 00:28:13 Finally, that goes on. But never, you know, all the dudes found, you know, to ask their chicks. I just dropped down and did it. Boom. Got that first reaction to tension. You know, because I never been a big attention guy,
Starting point is 00:28:24 but it's always been like, you know, some former love to show for your, like, craft of performing. So I dropped down on there. Did it big old place pop. So it was like, yeah. You were hooked.
Starting point is 00:28:35 I've always been hooked, yeah. It's only good addiction I have is wrestling. And you're like, I might be. The crowd reaction. But how do you even learn you can do the worm? I just did it. I mean, you just, at that dance, you just did it.
Starting point is 00:28:49 I would, yeah, but I couldn't do it at the house because we only have one layer of ceiling, not two for the living room. So like, if I did it, even weighing that much as a child, it's not like a thunderstorm. It was like, you know, like, what the hell is that? So I couldn't do it. So when I finally got to do it, I just let loose and just did it. So it's the only dance with I had besides the hips, you know. Did you love Rikishi because you're like, I just love a fellow big man? Yeah, but also, like, he was just doing stuff that, like, was entertaining.
Starting point is 00:29:22 My mom at the time was entertaining. Like, it got my family because they never wanted me to do this. They were always like, oh, you know, be a doctor, you know. Like, yeah, I'm going to read books for 10 that fucking years. Be a doctor. Yeah, be a doctor, Nick. Go ahead. Yeah, work hard.
Starting point is 00:29:38 I do all this stuff for you. You just want to be in your underwear? No, no, he doesn't say that. He loves wrestling now. Back then, it was a little different story. But, yeah. Also, the way Rikishi moved for a guy who is 400 plus pounds. I just love that.
Starting point is 00:29:53 Yeah, everything about him, like the turn and, I mean, obviously, the sink face is classic, but just appreciating how he could move and all. And again, like, you never appreciated fully until you go back. Same with the mate Randy Savage. I saw Randy as, you know, five. or six years old as, you know, team madness. So I already thought he was cool as shit. But I would look back at older tapes from Mr. Movies, video vision.
Starting point is 00:30:16 Is that still their video vision? No, that closed down. Video vision? Oh, RIP. Oh, that's where I got all my wrestling videos. I feel like we should introduce the person you keep speaking to off camera here. People are like, who is he talking to? What's going on?
Starting point is 00:30:32 Sorry, babes. I just feel, you know, the boys are here. We're all here, yeah. But yeah, you just watch like old paper views. You see Savage doing crap you never saw before. Because he had to work, you know, smarter. He has to get older, right? Sure.
Starting point is 00:30:46 Yeah. But I mean, geez. Then you appreciate Keesheed and more his younger years, watching him work. So I had no idea he was, was it sadden? Yeah. I had no idea that was him. For God's sakes. The way he did the 360 clothes line always blew my mind.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Oh. Oh, yeah. The Smohen's, babe. Have explosive power, babe. It's incredible. They, they're just, they're just tanks. I mean, not unlike you. Like, you have sneaky agility.
Starting point is 00:31:10 No. Everyone knows I'm coming, man. I'm glad to announce it. Sorry. Until next time. Show us these socks you have. Is that Frankenstein? Pull him up a little.
Starting point is 00:31:26 His face. You want to get your make? Okay. His face is shrink. There he is. Yeah. Like I said, and again, I'll talk about the community.
Starting point is 00:31:36 Now you got to pull them. Mike back. I get a snooce, babe. Is that cool? Yeah. Yeah. Well, timeout. And he's back. And bring the mic back in, too. There it is. Polk salad, Annie. And then we get your granny. Tring, yeah. The reason why the boys want me to put Elvis on. We're just close enough, babe. That's perfect. Yeah. Love it. But yeah, like, so like, I'll meet guys on like, like, IG. They're just like, yeah, you know, we got this horror stuff. And, like, I always feel like such a prima don't when I say, I might need a two extra or three X.
Starting point is 00:32:10 I'm sorry. It's different clothes. It's different, babe. And I don't send different sizes. Oh, it's cool. So, yeah. Thanks, guys. Put him over.
Starting point is 00:32:18 I'm actually shocked you just a 2x. You're a, oh, no, cut off. Yeah. You're a large man. It depends, babe. You see me put my clothes on. Good God. He's like, dude, is that going to fit?
Starting point is 00:32:28 Yeah. No, it's not. No. You're right, Coley. Damn it. He's off camera again. We're in Minneapolis right now. Where did you grow up?
Starting point is 00:32:40 in relation to here. Superior Wisconsin, so right? So you look at the top of the map with the Wolf's Lakehead kind of shape is. Yeah, yeah. So I reckon I was in Billings Park area. Guy off camera was east end. You want to just pop in for half a second here.
Starting point is 00:32:58 Wave. It's my boy, Colshore. Yeah. He's a single man. All right. Hey. Are you also a single man? Oh, sir.
Starting point is 00:33:06 I cannot speak. A taken man. Oh, there is. Okay. But you guys can have me every Monday night. I'm going to have it all night long. I'm also a taken man. You're married guy?
Starting point is 00:33:16 Yeah, yeah. Oh, that's really. And a father. Yeah. Oh, congratulations. Yeah, got a little girl and a little boy on the way. That's what we're like always scared about too because like wrestlers usually like
Starting point is 00:33:28 the amateur wrestlers always usually get girls. He always want to be the, you first be the boy like yeah. He's me. He's me. He's me. Then like the girl, I'm so afraid. She's going to have like my shoulders, my beard. I'm just so.
Starting point is 00:33:39 I'm so scared to have a daughter. I'm like, she's going to be like, oh, I want to play volleyball, but I'm 5, 5. I'm going to say,
Starting point is 00:33:46 hon, be a wrestler. I don't know. So you grew up way north. Way north. So, yeah, we're like further north.
Starting point is 00:33:54 I'm from Canada. You grew up further north from me. Yeah. So we kind of want snow because, because every time there's no snow and just that lake is being vicious, it's always like negative 30.
Starting point is 00:34:04 So that wind just gets you, babe. So yeah, we've, yeah, but my house is always, the one at home is always at 85 degrees, even though the thermometer says 60.
Starting point is 00:34:15 That's the reason that house could keep heat. So we had no problem with heating during the winter. But vice versa. Summer, I was just there in town for buddy's funeral. And I was just like, good God, this place is so fucking hot. Christopher, please. It is, it is 64. Usually I'm sweating this bad with the lights around.
Starting point is 00:34:34 I'm not. Usually Maxine is always like, you got some on your thing, babe. Thanks, babe. Maxine as a wrestler now, I feel like has improved so much. I was talking to Gable about this. She's fucking angry, babe. Yeah, I love it. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:34:48 Like, I saw her doing like a step-up in Sigurie in a match, and I'm like, hell yeah. Mm-hmm. Well, doesn't help, though, her best friend's Chelsea, too, and Chelsea's like, oh, yeah, you're going to do that, aren't she? You know what I mean? Just like, just that, you know, that confidence builder, you know what I mean? Like, Chelsea's said, I'm talking to aside, I love our whole women's division.
Starting point is 00:35:05 I'd be honest with you. Like, I'm big Zoe Stark guy. You know what I mean? he's a badass you know all the worker i mean yeah we've a stud ass mean no pun intended uh women's division for sure who are uh who are some of the like really like you're obviously a stupidly strong guy i guess so who are who are some of the other ones uh in the locker room strong yeah i'm on the spot baby obviously bobby lashley is a freak i mean i i i always tell bobby it's like grabbing a piece of rock you're just like are you ready baby
Starting point is 00:35:39 I'm like, God, that's steel. I'm just like Mickey Rourke and expendable is with Salon. Oh, is that whole piece of shit right there? God, you're cold steel. Like literally just, all right, he's not going to move yet. I'll wait for him to want him if he wants to move. It's just like, yeah, his power, man. Yeah, he big E's another one that's like, I've never haven't picked me up clean.
Starting point is 00:36:01 It's on me. But it's also like just the way he comes in with that. I love that physical contact. What about the bronze? Bronze, Braun, Strom and Bron, Braille. care. Oh, yeah, yeah, sorry, baby. I said, yeah, I got, miss a lot of boys. I'm sorry, boys. We all pump the iron. I don't get it.
Starting point is 00:36:15 I get, we don't have this grip strength as a dozer. I don't care. I don't care. My beard's the microphone right now. And, no, no, Bronn. I mean, just his, like, grip strength and, like, you know, because, again, we'll be in the ring and be like, God damn a dozer. I'd be like, oh, yeah. What was that punch you just gave me, man? I mean, like, so it's always a good time. Work with Big Daddy.
Starting point is 00:36:37 I call him that in the match with you. Ready, Big Daddy? And he's like, God, don't do that. I love, love you, big daddy. And with Breaker, I mean, dude, the first time I've seen that kid, I was in Orlando, working on my hip stuff. And he's just, dude, like, he was explosive for 45 minutes straight. Like, his scene, Ness should have been fried.
Starting point is 00:36:55 He was just, I mean, the guy, kids is stud, yeah. So, yeah. I've been to bring with him once, yes. Mandy Rose was telling me that she pitched the idea for you to be involved in that whole angle with her. She was, she was definitely... the ignition for sure because you can pitch all day long. But again, like, with, with, with, with, Mandy, she's like, I'll talk to Vince.
Starting point is 00:37:18 I go, okay. So she, like, gives me the nucks. Then like, because I was just kidding around. I would see like a bikini poster or bikini on IG trying to sin my lord. And then like, I just feel like, he looked good, babe. And then it became this thing. And actually on Google, it said, is Otis really married? Married.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Just one post. And I'm like, I'm sitting and going, okay, I got some little leverage here. So I kept like hosting it just for like last. Because she's awesome. You know, like you said, the girls are excited. They're, they're, they're, they're their blessing too. Because again, like, they're like, it's HR, but we know you mean well. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:56 But she talked to Vince came out and then we started rock and roll in there. So, I mean, the idea, I don't know, but like, you know, it's, she definitely was like, hey, we got to do this. What a fun storyline it turned into. Oh, man. It was, it was one of those things where. it's like, oh, you're going to kiss the world champion bikini medal. Behave yourself, boy.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Every day was a test. I'm not talking about the boomstick either. That was always, because we could ever do like a pre shot. It was always live because something would mess up like, and she's just like, I'm just like, I'm sweating terribly because I, at one time I'd hold like a cake and the box was so unstirty. That was like, this thing falls during a live shot. I don't know what to do bad. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:38:36 It was just like, you couldn't find a grip. I'm trying to be a romantic going, hey, Mandy, you've seen my match, you know? And, of course, Ziggy, you know, top the cake, man. I love Ziggy, man. It's pretty crazy that, uh, sorry with my armpits. The, uh, flexing here, man. The, uh, you know, you know, sexiness. You know, sexiness.
Starting point is 00:38:57 Steve. It's what I was talking about, too. Ziggy. Ziggy. So Ziggy gets in the picture and, like, it was, if he was his first singles match. in the warehouse as a brusselmania was my first singles too so it was like it was bitter sweet because i you know i respected golf picked off a lot and it's like damn i wish was better you know that just you know times being the times was just like you know could you imagine what the pop
Starting point is 00:39:22 would have been like i get scared to like because again like everyone goes never forget your first russomani pat and i go okay but we had it we had to stick to the internet i guess on that one yeah But you would have had the moment with you and Mandy kissing in front of it would have been sold out crowd in Tampa. It would have been insane. Yeah. But as they say, the road goes on. But all that stuff like you saving her at the rumble, what a fun moment that was. Oh, I tell you, fans just know it's you.
Starting point is 00:39:54 I tell you, I've like literally trying my best to just be a ball, like in this black cape. Like I'm in a cult. Like they were sneaking you in? That one called it's hard to sneak my load in there. but it's every machinery. So we're doing the curt business, but like, my boots,
Starting point is 00:40:13 like you can barely see them. They're the white boots. They owe us on them. And literally someone goes, that's Otis. I'm like, oh, fuck sakes.
Starting point is 00:40:21 I guess I'll spread out now. I know it's me. We got under the ring. I remember Nick, who's always under the ring, the ring crew guy. I go, hey, babe,
Starting point is 00:40:29 you know, which one should I roll? What side? He goes, I didn't tell you? I go, no. I'll just,
Starting point is 00:40:35 assume. So I just kind of kept just weasling around that ring. So yeah, it was cool because you watch it back. The crowd sees me, but no one really knows what's happening until she finally stands up. But then finally we get the big. Yeah. So we as an easy P-D. What a fun moment that was. Oh, I felt bad. So bad for landing on me too. I'm just so sweaty. You know, that ring. And she's just beautiful and just barely breaking a sweat. She's just, you know, standing on me. Hey, you got it, babe. Yeah. When, when, then we had the, at a, I missed Darya, though. Oh, Dario, sorry.
Starting point is 00:41:08 So, you know, So I didn't know. So I was like, ah, catching two buff ladies, yeah. Were you under there the whole match? Yeah. How do you know it's your time to go? You got a TV there, yeah? Oh, you got a TV to watch. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:22 I never knew. Never knew what the deal was when you were the rent. I just figured, you know, hey, baby, you just, you just. You just, you just. When you won money in the bank, did they have a plan for you? you're going to win this and you're going to cash in it this particular moment. Do they tell you that? I don't think there was a plan, no.
Starting point is 00:41:40 I don't, it was kind of a shock because the whole day was like we couldn't get up on the roof for the longest time because of the COVID stuff. And it was like just sitting, sitting, sitting, sitting, do one thing and shoot it. So we were basically just sitting there in your gear. Like they were kind of, you know, bullshit with all the boys and, you know, kind of calling stuff. What would make it be more of a spectacular, like the, like the plate or, you know, Barron. And he was like, oh, I just throw the plate in the mirror, get it approved, you know, gets it approved, you know? Like, so it was just like a long day.
Starting point is 00:42:09 And finally, Jimmy's like, you think King Kong up in there? I go, King Kong. He goes, yeah, come on me. Jamie Noble. Whatever he does this. Jamie's all fired up. He walks up. And he's just climbing this ladder with his cowboy boots.
Starting point is 00:42:19 I'm like, babe, I'm not going up there. I hate heights. That's why I only go on the second rope. He's like, get your ass up here. Come on. So I, fucking, oh. And it was a long way down. I mean, it's a headquarters, babe.
Starting point is 00:42:30 So he goes, I'm going to take a picture of you, take a shirt off and roar. I go, okay. Like King Kong, really roar. I'm like, okay, we're roaring. Sorry, I've been sitting for 14 hours. Then all of a sudden, you're going to win it. I'm like, oh, okay. And then, yeah, from there.
Starting point is 00:42:46 But I think everything was always like, again, it was who's healthy, who's not. So that could have been a factor there, you know, with testing about COVID and all that. So it is a bunch of changes going on. But are you at any point holding the briefcase? and going, I'm going to be a world champion. Like this, that's what this means. This means I probably get the title. My brain doesn't think that way.
Starting point is 00:43:08 It's, um, how does it think? Basically, it's a billionaire question. It's, uh, basically it's like, how can I make this bigger than what it can be? And it's tough without the crowd too, because again, you're not getting that reaction live or getting it online mostly or, you know, through the boss. So it was kind of, it was just one of those things where, you know, We could do a few things, but then it was kind of like, we did like the Otis court case.
Starting point is 00:43:34 What was that? The court case with Ms. And that was, that was a hilarious day, by the way. Why? Well, you get Morrison in me in a room. You can't, yeah, you can't have the two boys in a room there. Morrison gets excited. He gets me going.
Starting point is 00:43:45 And then next thing you know, guys, you got to get this done. Okay. Like, if Teddy Long gets hot, you know something's wrong. Teddy goes, all right, boys, shut the hell up. I've been known to be very quiet in the locker room, boys. They always make sure the girls make us to go, away from the male town. No, they don't.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Because I just feel like, hey, babes, how are you? I'm doing some makeup? Yeah. The reaction you got when you finally had enough with Gable. Yeah. What a moment that was. Yeah. It was basically, in my words, in guerrilla, I go, I'm so fucking hard right now.
Starting point is 00:44:20 It was like, it was the coolest shit. Like, yeah, it's things were, and there's still a lot of story there, too. So it's just one of those things organically, me and Gable, like, we don't have talk much about like how we're going to do it. That makes sense. It's kind of like he knows how I would react. He's seen me piss. You see me cry.
Starting point is 00:44:37 He's seen me all this stuff. You know what I mean? So he knows what I got to do to kind of turn that switch on kind of thing. Because again, you know, it kind of was funny because everyone's kind of like, I'll make sure you look serious. And I'm going, yes, you've ever seen me really pissed off in real life. Like I go, it's pretty scary. It's not hard to get pissed.
Starting point is 00:44:57 So I'm pretty chill. The crowd wanted you to just. destroy and it was and i remember going like he's push enough that's like to try it out and like so i'm thinking like club him give him a slam sorry das which is his nickname bam daz dazz he loves that nickname why is it dazzle this first day one call me used nicknames yeah you know he's dozer dazzler yeah yeah so it's like i'll be like hey man if we you know we start being baby faces after we're heel we love doze and dad. He's like, no. I think the crowd was expecting like, you were just going to like blow up on him. Yeah, it was kind of like, and I fire up ridiculously where I couldn't breathe. I remember Kobe called
Starting point is 00:45:39 me out and he goes, I were breathing there, a kid. I go, I know, I'm just fired up. Like, you know, the crowd is, I don't know. It's a certain drug, babe. I don't know. Was that the one of the coolest crowd reactions you've had? Definitely. And then, uh, I, it's a couple of them. There's, There's one where we're NXT. We're working six-mats. Me, Ricky, Rickie Shea, heavy machinery versus, uh, a spirit era. We did this comeback and thank God those boys can bump.
Starting point is 00:46:06 They're like, do your dozer train, but do it like eight times. I'm like, damn, babe, what are you guys? All right. You know, because every time I hit him, a cow is always just like, damn it does. I'm like, well, sorry, I'm fucking jacked up. So we do it. And then every time it got, I don't know, this, the, it was,

And, uh, yeah, I mean, watch a bunch of horror movies. What's your go-to drink? Oh, Johnny Walker Red, babe.
Starting point is 00:46:55 Oh, yeah. Don't get black. No, bars always do. We only have black and it's only 12 more dollars, which I don't care now, but when I was back as a college kid, I'm like, that 12 bucks is a lot, man. So, yeah, scotch. And beer, yeah, love beer.

No more juggling tools or dealing with subpar results, just efficient, effective grooming wherever you need it. What was the first big purchase that you made after getting your big WWB contract?
Starting point is 00:50:18 Big purchase. You buy yourself a truck, a night out. What was it? No, no. So Gable can say this too. He goes, you know, you probably should have bought a bed first. I go, no, I know me, babe. No, no. You don't have a bed?
Starting point is 00:50:34 Far more things important. So I walk in a bed. Well, you got to understand, I had a one bedroom apartment for years. I don't need much more. So I'm just thinking like, hey, long as there's a shitter and a fucking, you know. So I got a big old screen TV that didn't fit the nightstand table. And of course, Gable's like, well, how are we going to put this up? I go, and I remember looking around, I go, oh, I got a bunch of, I got these porn cards.
Starting point is 00:50:56 So we put the deck right there. That was my TV. And I bought a big couch and then kitchen table. Then that, and it took me forever by bed. I just, I just looked on the couch. The giant TV was the big purchase. Probably, yeah. I'm pretty boring, babe, really.
Starting point is 00:51:10 That's pretty pretty pretty. I'm not mentioning of cars and I don't know. I'll explain that. You've since purchased a bed, though. Like, I still drive the same car I bought years ago. I really don't. wheels fall off, babe. I should probably change my air friar that I think about it, but no, we're going to stick into her bed to your last moment of frying those burgers. I got you.
Starting point is 00:51:34 You're a loyal man. That's how you went. I don't know. Do the wheels fall off, babe. You still live around here. Oh, yeah. You didn't have to go to Orlando? Nope. When you go to NXT, yeah. So you were in Orlando and then moved back. Yeah, it's a long, long six years. It just wasn't in my style, baby. It was just like so damn hot. you know, it's so fucking hot. It's the dough is hot, you know.
Starting point is 00:51:56 And your car breaks down, you know, and it's like, what's going on here? Because I remember I had my first Ford, it's a Ford truck or something. And the battery just died coming to Orlando. So my first day there, I'm just like, great, I got battery problems. And it was just, but yeah, it was a different lifestyle. Definitely. It was a guy kind of like, it was just like, you go to a grocery store and just people just seem like they have all the time in the world.
Starting point is 00:52:17 I'm just like, babe, come on, let's get going here. The pace of life in Florida is rather slow. Very, I mean, I hate to say it, basically. We're not talking, we're not talking shit. We're just taking facts. Well, I live there for five years. I go back home, Super 1. She's going, ding, ding, ding.
Starting point is 00:52:29 I don't go to who you are. 195. Got you, babe. Click. Don't they call it God's waiting room. I guess so. They call Florida. God's wait.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Just keep waiting. No, because it's like, you know, with great respect, that's where everybody goes when they retire. Yep. So. What kind of car do you drive now? Fort Fusion. I don't. I don't know how you fit into a Ford Fusion.
Starting point is 00:52:52 I know. I know. I get it all the time. That's amazing. The air conditioning seats, really, I fell in love with it. It was a hot day looking for a car. I had, I think his name was, I forgot the dealer's name, but he was trying to work me. I said, ah, ha, ha, babe. Need all-wheel drive at least? Air conditioning seats.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Could show me these cars. No. Over here. Come on. And then, like, sat down and I go, oh, it feels so good on the guch. Oh, babe. We're getting this car. Sign me the papers.
Starting point is 00:53:21 like six hours in a car. I'm like, babe, want to hurry this up, dude? And we got some meals to eat. You might be Chris Farley reincarnated. I get that a lot. And again, I love Chris, but he wasn't like an influence or anything, to be honest with you. I mean, I love his work, but it's not my kind of comedy, kind of, I don't know, that makes any sense. Like, obviously the physicalness, maybe, I mean, but I don't know. I feel like I always looked at to John Candy more, especially John Candy, me, my mom had that all the time. Plains Trains Trains and Automobiles has a special place for my heart. Oh, dude.
Starting point is 00:53:51 So good. And as Maxine, she hasn't seen these. So we have to give her homework assignments. Yeah, she's, like, seen, like, three movies in her whole life. Yeah, she's seen dumb and dumber. I said, well, you're kind of telling me like, you're, like, it's a good thing. Like, you should have saw it years ago. Like, dumb and dumber is a classic, babe.
Starting point is 00:54:08 But, yeah, we give her, I think the last one I gave her was, Dave is confused. And I gave her, like, 10 questions. She got eight of them right. She was, she was arguing the ninth one. I said, no, no, no. You quiz her after she sees the movies. So I'll make sure she sees it, yeah. You just can't look this up on YouTube, babe.
Starting point is 00:54:22 No, no, no. These are certain questions. Like, they're specific. Yeah, that's what my brain works. Like, I just, I don't know, Coley knows you, a guy have camera. It's like,
Starting point is 00:54:30 and Gabe was to say it's too, like, I don't remember anything about yesterday. But I remember, like, wait, this actor from this movie was in this movie at this date,
Starting point is 00:54:38 just weird stuff. I can't explain it. What's your favorite, like movie of all time, not just horror film? Once Upon Time in Hollywood. Wow. Love, I love it.
Starting point is 00:54:46 Recent reference. Yeah, because I just love Tarantino. Is that, so that's your favorite, Tarantino film then, too, obviously. No, from Destal Dawn. That's, that was confusing, wasn't it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:56 Your favorite movie of all time is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It is. But not your favorite. But George Cooney, babe, what the fucking wood thing? Tarantino didn't direct from Dust Till Dawn. You're right. It was Rodriguez. It's my favorite movie, babe.
Starting point is 00:55:07 I botched my own horror stuff. Damn it. Sorry, take off my socks. It's not worthy of Frankenstein right now. Why is Once Upon a Time your favorite one? It just reminds me of the boys a little bit. Just like, I don't know. I feel like you see a loss in the kids.
Starting point is 00:55:20 chemistry of characters. And it's hard to do with movies sometimes these days because especially horror movies like the strangers. Oh my God. Just so much build up and just so much no investment. It's like, you lose me. But that movie I was there, the whole, and apparently it was supposed to be four hours long. I could have mad.
Starting point is 00:55:36 I'd watch it all four hours long, but I love the ending with it. You say, if you're intruder at my house, you're going down, babe. I got hatchets and everything. That scene were DiCaprio's in the trailer and he's yelling at himself. It's so good. It's so good. What a performance. Ain't whiskey sauce.
Starting point is 00:55:52 God damn. Fuck it. Drink it again. Fucking so good. Then he fucking, then he takes a sip. Yeah. Fuck it.
Starting point is 00:56:03 So good, dude. I love that movie, dude. That's so good. Some of those movies, you just love it. You know,
Starting point is 00:56:07 like saying that you love certain guys. You're a kid, like, you know, it's just, I appreciate that that's your all-time favorite because most people, they got to go back 20 or 30 or 40 years.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Yeah. But there's just too many movies. My fucking brain, man, to be like, like, I always say it took a chance of massacre because that was the first film. I was like,
Starting point is 00:56:23 are you sure this isn't real? Like, he just felt like a snuff film. I mean, not technically. Yeah. Like it's, yeah,
Starting point is 00:56:29 I watched that, you know, I guess I watched all this when I was too young, I guess. Like, you watch your robocop like, whoa, then you watch it again going,
Starting point is 00:56:37 I just watched this when I was a kid? Amazing. Amazing. What are your, some of your goals in WWE? I'm definitely, definitely that singles match in WrestleMania. I mean,
Starting point is 00:56:49 everyone talks with a title. For me, it's basically, you know, probably have a big match with Gable. Hopefully it would be cool. Maybe someday. I don't know. I feel like this has been building for a while. Yeah. So maybe, maybe there.
Starting point is 00:57:03 I always, always got always like, this is like said going back, but always wanted to work with Wyndham. Definitely. That was very, that's going to be a fantasy of mine. So we got to heaven, basically, because like, I always knew me and him could tear the house down if we could. You know, two big guys that can, you know, our styles aren't exactly. similar, but he's way more agile.
Starting point is 00:57:22 And the guy, you know, the guy's, the guy is phenomenal. So, yeah, RIP, babe. But like dad and work with certain guys, too, who said newer guys coming in. And, but yeah, and then obviously, you know, having that big, big title win would be, would be nice. But, I don't know, for me, this is doing what I do,
Starting point is 00:57:39 what I do, do what I say this. Do I love to do is just basically been like a blessing for me. And it's selfishly I'm doing for myself because it's that much of a love for me. You know what I mean? Like, people always go, oh, why are you like wrestling? So much of headlocks and bimboes, they go, well, because every amateur tournament, the girl, that the lady would do this, she would go, all right now, and I forgot her name, but she'd always botched my real last name.
Starting point is 00:58:02 Of course she did. She made she just would just say, Nico, you're on Man 11. Talking on the microphone right now, again, poke salad. So she'd be like, there's no headlocks, no ropes, no turnbuckles, and no bimboes. This is real wrestling. I remember being in an old amateur tournament going like, I'm a bimbo. What do you do now, Nico?
Starting point is 00:58:25 Have you bimbo stuff? Have you always had this much energy? No, I'm going to. I'm tired of some time. No, it's, yeah. You bring it. You bring it. I guess so, yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:40 That's why, you know, it's like, it gets to the point now where the boys are arguing who's going to ride with me. So now it's like, wait a minute. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? They want to ride with you or they don't want to ride? Because I feel bad going, well, I was going to go with him and then, sorry. He goes, well, you said we go with us. I go, no, you thought, I said that.
Starting point is 00:58:57 No, it's all good. They all want to ride with you. I guess so, yeah. So who are you typically riding with? It would be either AOP, um, Rizar or, or, you know, Sanchez and, uh, Polly, or it'd be dazzle, Fergie McNeuge, McDonough. His real name is McNooge. And, um, yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:18 Everybody has a nickname. Yeah. It's great. Oh, it's this real name. He's even seen Saving Silverman yet. He doesn't even know the joke. Even on Twitter, they don't even know the joke. Or X.
Starting point is 00:59:26 Sorry, X. Oh, yeah. You'll find out soon, babes. How did? Oh, yeah. And Bronson Reed. Which is terrible for working together. Because he was just like, you pulled to the building like, okay, drop me off.
Starting point is 00:59:41 This can't be this obvious. That car must have incredible shocks. Well, and then two, one time, Ricky. Riquet. Riquet. Yeah. Ricky was in the back and he was Snapchating and we're just back to
Starting point is 00:59:52 go, oh yeah, we didn't realize we were covering the whole seat. He didn't know a big yard until like, you get recorded, I guess, or something. They were just like, we were literally just kissing shoulders and like his his ponytail was touching the ceiling. My hair is all in Ricky's face. Like I felt bad. But yeah, definitely
Starting point is 01:00:08 AC's on 100%. He actually gets a little cold that a little Australian. Yes. He goes, do's, to the down a little bit. I said, do. Keep it up. It's only an hour left to drive. How did?
Starting point is 01:00:23 Oh, yeah, because of your thing. Oh, I, there's, oh, yeah. This is the day I first masturbated, brother. Yeah, it's been basically, yeah. It's been basically, oh, yeah. No, no. No, it's been, I just love Randy. Again, Randy's been my number one, Randy Savage, I guess, for obvious reasons.
Starting point is 01:00:42 But definitely, it just be, you know, would be center playing football, the guy off the camera with me. you know, just get a nice hit. Oh, yeah. But, like, I wouldn't say it, like, like, Randy sometimes, I make sure it sounded weird if I was on top of you. So if I was pinning you, I'd be like, oh, fuck, yeah. You're done. There's a little trash talk right now.
Starting point is 01:01:03 Oh, yeah, that was bad. Yeah, way hands were good. Get away and naked. Got to. What? Show me. Show me. I'm not afraid of anything.
Starting point is 01:01:13 Just go there naked with a big dip in and you just stare at and talk shit. Obviously, had a tone. it down. I got humbled in the Olympic Training Center, by the way, you walk in there like, I'm a state champion, undefeated. I'm a fucking national champion. Come on old guys. Beat the shit out of me. How close for you to go to the Olympics? Not even close, man. Really? I just made a, but you were in the training camp. It's a qualifier, the, what is it? World Team Trials, but yeah. 2012, right? Yes, sir. So Gable, as a stud he is, did it all, baby. He had a tough match with Jordan home for, you know, I think they had two matches together back to back. So it's
Starting point is 01:01:47 always best two or was it best two or three so my god for the finals but you're there you're so you're i mean you're there and then again i was like i got one more year to love for it then after that i was just done i was like just burnt out mentally just because you're always you know there's always a dick measuring contest it's always like you know all right who's on this guy and i would never like i was always a weirder who never look at my opponent i was like i was like i would just figure out we get out i go well we should have figured that one out get my leg what did you weigh when you wrestle So I was always, I only cut, cut for two years because it was one, it was one, um, 120 kilos, so that's 264 point something.
Starting point is 01:02:27 That was the max, right? Max. Heavyweight? Yep. So I always worked around 285. That's crazy that you would cut to make heavy weight. Well, you know, that was this, but that was dumber back then. I mean, you were dumb kids.
Starting point is 01:02:36 Like, oh, I'm on, I'm underweight. Let's have a big slushy and a big subway sandwich. Yeah, we're really, we're plumishing our bodies here. Like, just ever disaster. So, yeah, like, you know, that was. Obviously, a factor there. How's your first podcast experience, Ben? Oh, it's great there.
Starting point is 01:02:54 We got Cold Boar Shoreoff camera here, we're here for Christopher. No, no, that's great, but I said, I always get a little timbre doing interviews with myself because I say the wrong thing sometimes, but at the right time, sometimes. You've always, or you've so often done them with Gable, right? Yeah, and he's like, he'll cover me all the time. Especially a couple times with quicker wire.
Starting point is 01:03:17 wireless. We're talking between the commercial and the ladies and not get the joke I got. And, of course, I'm expecting this big pop. And he goes, you can't do that everywhere, man. They don't get anything you just said. All right, there. We want it back there. All right. I'm a fisherman now. All right. I end every interview with gratitude. It's a big part of my life. So, Otis, what are your phone? Ooh. What are three things you're grateful for, Otis? Jesus for sure. Just like, you know, there's a lot of things like, you know,
Starting point is 01:03:52 especially males, we tend to, like, I can do this all myself. I can do this, you know, I don't need the higher power all this. And a lot of things in my life, you know, turn me away from it. And a lot of times it was just because it was going through. And then, like, as I got to know some people and, like, started, like, feeling at home in a church, it was like, that's when, like, because I think I got, baptized again, I think it was 2014 or 15, just to kind of tell everybody like, hey, I'm not going to
Starting point is 01:04:21 change how I am. This is amazing myself to the Lord. So obviously, Lord Jesus Christ, my family, family and friends for sure. And obviously the boys, obviously, because, you know, it could be a schedule, but, you know, we was going to pick each other up at times. And so very grateful of the boys. We have a great locker room and great, I would say great men's locker men and female. You guys look like you're having a blast out there. It's getting a little out of hand. Yeah, I think it's going to come to the point we're going to have to show every single
Starting point is 01:04:50 continent all week long. Yeah, it's getting there, babe. It's so cool. Like, wrestling is as popular and as hot as it was when we were growing up. Especially when you're going, like, the airports and the kid, like, shouldn't know certain things. And it's just like, hell yeah. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:05:09 He's just, I watch this at the show. I'm like, man, you paid that much attention? Good kid. How, you know, like, say, yeah, we're getting, you know. And of course, you know, get all the, you know, get all the girls that, so I'll sit to the story where I thought we were boarding. And I, I just get done eating a sandwich. And I get over to sit down and this girl, I could, you know, tell she's eyeing me down,
Starting point is 01:05:30 but she's put her nervous ass for a pitcher. And I just kept, like, sitting there selling it, like, like, don't talk to me, kind of a face, like I never usually have. And I'm just like, you're looking at me, babe, you see something you like. And of course, like, the whole gate was like, who the fuck just said that? Then she became even more embarrassed, but like excited at the same time. So I'm sorry if I do that to you guys. Got to work you sometimes.
Starting point is 01:05:53 You walking through an airport must just be incredible. Yeah, Mike DeMis will talk about it. He goes, you'll just see a like a boulder of sweat. He's just walking. But then everybody's like, who is this guy? Within the same time, there's no etiquette anymore. Like literally, go, babe. You walk that way, I walk this week.
Starting point is 01:06:10 It's a highway. I always get to look from the mom going, are going to move or what? I'm like, babe, we want me to go under the seat? I mean? Like, you know what I mean? There's no etiquette anymore. It's like a free for all. So for me, that's bad.
Starting point is 01:06:22 It's not tall. I can't see you ahead of me. So I'm just like, sorry, guys. Sorry about that. Your kid hit my knee. I'm sorry. Like, been there, babe. What a blast this was.
Starting point is 01:06:33 Oh, yes. Thank you, sir. Absolutely. Thank you, Christopher. Hope I didn't say anything too juicy. Try to cross my legs like usual guys, dude. Can you? Can you?
Starting point is 01:06:42 You can, right? Sure it is. I'll do one, too. Well, usually, I'm usually podcast even does something like, yeah, you know,
Starting point is 01:06:49 I was going on the road, you know, stop my quiet. Then she came in and said this. You know what I mean? That was the best with Tucky. You can always tell me to talk about politics
Starting point is 01:06:59 or something serious from a far away distance. His hands get higher. Like Tucky would just be like, I'm like, we're building. I'm fucking, fucking comeback,
Starting point is 01:07:08 brother. I go, oh, oh, she's talking about politics again. Oh, yeah. Get those hands up, babe. You're under arrest. Oh, thanks, man. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:07:36 Well, there we go. What a ball of energy that guy is. And I feel like we're going to be seeing a lot more from Otis over the next bunch of months and in the next year. Like, he has so much untapped potential and untapped talent that I feel like we've seen. glimpses of it. We've seen a little bit of it here and there, but I just think it's just a matter of time before we see all of this come to the surface. And we really see the star that Otis can become. Snap a screenshot. Let us know what you thought of this episode and tag us. He's at Otis
Starting point is 01:08:10 WWE on Twitter at Otis underscore WWE on Instagram. I'm at Chris Van Fleet. And if this was the first podcast that he's ever done, I hope it is the first of many. I hope that this is the first interview of many that we have with him on the show. I'm going to leave you with this quote from Vincent Van Gogh. Normality is a paved road. It's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it. Be great. Be grateful, my friends. We'll see you on the next one for some more insight. This Thursday, we've got the world's most dangerous episode. Yeah, Ken Shamrock is joining us on the show. We will see you then for that one. The Hammer Alley podcast, an 80. Flashback mockumentary.
