Such a fun one.
Please welcome the Wives of Wrestling, Kim Morton and Giovanna Angle.
Oh my gosh, I'm so excited.
Ladies, welcome to the show.
Hello, hello.
So glad to be here.
I, I, I, you were, we're saying this off camera, Giovanna, but like, I feel like, why do we look like we're related?
And as soon as he came on and smiled, I spotted, I just can't stop laughing.
What's going on here?
Totally.
Yeah, but you look like John, too.
Giovanna has that face where she, like, looks like everybody.
You do have, you must get this all the time.
People are like, I've met you somewhere.
I know you from somewhere.
All the time.
all the time especially if kirk goes to india i told him this before i was like i'm not a jealous
type at all but i mean there's like millions of chicks that look like me over there so
that is so funny we went to Dubai once and the women there are beautiful and uh we go to see
this chic and Randy's doing like a meet and greet and stuff and I'm going, babe,
you know, I'm like telling the security that was there that was with WWE.
I'm like, hey, you know, just hang out by me.
I'm like afraid that somebody might try to steal me.
And he's like, oh, no, you look like everybody else here.
They won't try to steal you.
If you were blonde with blue eyes, different story.
I was like, oh, okay.
I've been looking forward to having this conversation with you guys for so long.
And like anybody that listens to your podcast, the wives of wrestling, knows that you
guys just you guys just like to hang out and just have fun like that's what the whole podcast is
i feel like yeah for sure so now i get to be part of this i want to be yeah bffs with you guys
let's go yeah i feel like we're bffs already so this is i know we're off to a good start here
i've i've interviewed one of your husbands before i have not interviewed i haven't interviewed
randy yet i really like to though he'd really like you too i think um when i told him that we were
doing this interview. He goes, wait a minute. I don't know if I haven't done an interview with him. I'm like, I don't know. And we start looking and he's like, no, I don't think I have. He's like, that's some bullshit that you're getting on before me. Well, it sounds like we need to make this happen then. Yes. I think, I think you would love to have him on. And he would, I know he would love to be on. So let's make it happen. Yes. Okay. Well, this is far more important than that. This is far more.
Yeah, of course.
I mean, we could tell the stories that, you know, whatever you want to ask about them or us, go for it.
I mean, I sent, Kim sent me a screenshot of Kurt being on your show.
And it was the recent one of him telling the story of him with the boots and him spelling like milk.
And I texted her and I was like, those boots still stink.
No right.
Still smell.
It smells terrible.
I remember when he put them on.
on, first time he put them on, this is a long time.
He wanted to do like a little funny, goofy thing on his Instagram.
And he tried to put them on and they were so tight.
Because they were like, you know, the milk, I guess it was destroyed by the milk and everything.
But it was so funny because he could have put his foot in there.
Wow.
And for people that don't.
You must have quit.
For people that don't know exactly what we're talking about, like apparently a lot of,
the milk from the infamous milkomania and the milk truck. A lot of it was real from the
cartons that he was pouring and then he went on a plane right after with like milk soaked
shoes and stunk up the whole plane. Yes. Everybody knows what a like throw up baby smells like.
So that's what he must have smelled like. Can you imagine the guy sitting next to him?
Oh, geez. You're like, damn, crangle smells like ass.
That guy's telling that story for the rest of his life. Sure.
Where does this go back for you guys?
When did you guys first become friends?
Oh, my gosh.
It's five years, Gee.
Yeah, it's been five years.
We both went to WrestleMania.
And it was when Kurt, is that when Kurt and Drona were fighting, G?
Oh, no, that's when he was going into the Hall of Fame.
Hall of Fame.
Kerry's going into Hall of Fame.
And we kind of just met by the pool.
Giovanna took her beautiful baby.
and was in the lazy river and came floating around to where me and my loud family were.
And she was like, hi, I'm Giovanna.
And it was so nice to meet another wife that I, like, immediately had so much in common with.
Because, you know, I was mostly friends with a lot of girls in the back and a lot of guys because of
Randy and to have another wife around was awesome.
Did you guys see each other in person a lot?
Sadly, no.
But funny story, I was in Pittsburgh last weekend.
I was in Pittsburgh last weekend.
Uh-oh.
So I'm waiting for my car to come, right?
And I'm standing there with my band's waiting for my car,
and I'm texting Randy.
I'm like, babe, like, the car never came.
What do I do?
And he's like, oh, I'm going to try to get in touch with them.
All of a sudden, who comes pulling around, but Giovanna, and she went all out.
She had a WWE sign in the front of her truck.
She had on a wig.
She had on glasses, a freaking button up with a tie on it.
And I was like, oh, no.
You went all out.
She's like, you made me nervous and I was waiting for you.
And like she had this whole awesome thing planned.
And but like us, you know, it only made sense for it to get a little screwed up.
But she, it was so great.
It was so much fun to see her, even if it was for a night.
And you don't get to see each other enough.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We don't get to see each other enough.
I'm so curious with your story there, Kim.
You referred to Randy as babe.
Is that is he babe to you, honey, sweetie?
Babe.
Babe.
Yeah.
And is Kurt?
A babe?
Yeah, he's a babe.
Yeah.
He's a lot of names in this house.
What's the best name that he is?
Oh, my gosh.
What does he want us to call?
No, I'm just joking.
I don't know.
I mean, we try because the kids,
like Kim, we call him daddy sometimes.
Like I call him daddy. It's so funny because my son, you know, he, he's 18. It took him like a year because every single time I called him daddy. He's like, that's not your father. And I'm just like, it's daddy in this house. Okay. So I don't, whenever like he's being an idiot, I call him Curtis or like, you know, just I do some like stupid little things. But yeah, I mean, I call him like asshole sometimes when he's being a one. I mean, there's many names for this guy behind me.
We actually, it's weird, but for some reason, I call Randy Kevin sometimes.
And I don't know if I even know a Kevin, but he was Kevin because I would scream his name.
I was like, babe, and it would just remind me up, it's the weirdest story.
Randy is Kevin because I would scream his name.
I got a big mouth, obviously.
So I would always like scream, babe, babe.
And so it just reminded me of home alone.
And when the mom screams, Kevin!
So it was like a joke for the longest time where I would be like, Kevin, Kevin.
And he answers to it, oddly enough.
He totally answers to it.
And then like two years after this whole Kevin started, he did ChangeLand with McCauley Culkin.
And so, like, I got to tell him that story.
Yeah, like full circle type shit.
And I was like, oh, my God, it's so funny because I call him Kevin because of you.
Man.
Like, what?
Yeah.
That's no sense, but that's just my weird.
Kevin.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So if Curtis, Curtis sometimes, is Randy ever Randall?
Um, Blue Moon, Randall.
I don't know.
Wow, I call him that.
It reminds me of a Randall.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's just the brandy.
So are you guys, you guys record the podcast once a week, right?
It's normally on a Wednesday.
Yes.
Yeah.
And I, like, that's when, uh, all of our kids are in school.
And we have, you know, a little bit of time to have a drink and, you know, do we
having a drink right now?
I'm not.
I kind of did.
I'm not.
I'm on with allergy medicine right now.
So I'm afraid how that's going to turn.
It's not a good mix.
What's usually the drink of choice?
I'll usually do like a patron or a fireball, and I get made fun of all the time for drinking
fireball.
Yeah.
I feel like for most people, Fireball has like, you know, real, like, college memories.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Everyone says that.
I know.
The taste and especially the smell of Fireball is, like, very nostalgic in the worst possible.
ways for me. It's like
big red gum.
It is. Big red.
Yeah. Which is also like...
Basically, you're small in your gum every single time we take a shot.
Yeah. I know.
Okay. So Giovanna, what's the drink for you?
I have been drinking Taramana.
And I've been sticking with that. It is so good and smooth.
So smooth. Right? And I'm actually surprised.
When you think of like a pro wrestler having like a brand and everything, and I'm like,
okay but then I take and I'm like damn this is really good and I actually have been drinking is
what is that the zo? Did you guys try those yet? Oh so I have not. They're so good. Really?
Yeah they're really good. So good way. It's like clean too. Yes. Really good. Yeah.
So normally when you're recording the podcast, normally you pour a drink and then kind of just hang out the
whole time with a drink.
Yeah, we try.
Well, we'll take a shot.
We're bad.
We'll take a shot and like start it off like that.
And we end with a shot too and with a John Cena quote of the week.
John's from Twitter?
Yes.
Oh my gosh.
Yes.
And I believe that's from the swear.
Is that from the swear drawer?
Yeah.
You ever lose because we just have, you know, like us being Italian and
just can't stop.
But, and I realize that I, my mom or like people are like, wow, you swear a lot.
And I don't, you really don't realize it.
But when somebody's telling, how many times do you swear?
It's like, whoa, my kids are hearing this shit.
There you go.
So, yeah, I hate it because I am dyslexic as hell.
And I'm trying so hard not to swear to for Kim to win.
So, or lose.
That's not right.
I feel like I usually lose.
I have a terrible mouth.
My mother says, you like a truck driver.
I love the way you say mother.
My mother.
My mother.
My mother.
We just did a Mother's Day story episode, which was really funny because my mother is an absolute trip.
And oh my God, she's so much fun and funny.
And I sound like her.
It's driving me crazy.
When you guys start to record these episodes, are there any ground rules from the husbands going, please, please do not talk about this or tell this story about me?
Not really.
Ranting kind of just says to me, he's like, you know, don't try not to mention names.
You know, me and my husband, me and my husband get very gossiping with each other.
And, you know, so, like, I know a lot.
And he knows I know a lot.
But he also knows I'm not trying to, like, mess with anybody's, you know, wives and, like, give juicy dirt stories.
Like, I would never do anything like that.
But as far as he goes, he's an open book.
You can talk to him about anything.
He'll be 100% honest with you.
And I'm like that.
And he knows that.
And he's cool with it.
Sometimes he gets a little embarrassed, though, like shaving.
stories.
Like body shaving stories?
Yeah.
I got to say it, 20 years in, it looks like Randy's having the most fun of his career right now.
He really is.
Like he likes going to work right now.
And he never really, you know, work was work.
And he's more into like storylines and like what he's going to say and just coming off the cuff
but a lot of the things that he says.
And you can just tell he's having so much fun.
He loves working with Riddle.
And Riddle's awesome.
You know, he's such a great wrestler.
And he just really enjoys working with him.
And look, we're not seeing Kurt Engel, obviously that much.
He's not on weekly television.
What is a week in the life of Kurt and his family look like right now?
Oh, my gosh.
Well, Kurt's right now, I mean, a lot of doctor's appointments because he's getting his
surgery is done.
So, I mean, that's that.
Kurt's getting two knee replacements.
My gosh, Tuesday.
At the same time?
At the same time.
And I'm like terrified because the thing about Kurt is he, I really wanted him to go to
a center, like right from the hospital, go straight to the center.
So he can't think about anything but his recovery.
But yeah.
So, but I guess he'll be going to the hospital for a few days and then he'll be coming here and then we'll be getting like a, what is it called a therapy?
What is it called?
A person to come and help him every single day.
But we have a person?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So the thing about Kurt is I seen him in so many situations where after an injury or recovery, he'll like, okay, okay, okay, all right, I'm good.
You know, and I think he has that mentality because he's been doing it for wrestling for so many years of trying to get back in a ring.
But I'm trying to tell him, you're not getting back in a ring.
This is like for the rest of your life.
I hope to God.
I'm not getting back to ring.
But it's like this is serious.
You know, this is, you know how his like legs or bends because after every surgery, he just, you know, he so many like ACs.
What is it?
Like torn ACs.
and everything.
And he just did the mat, like the minimum, just where it's healed.
And then he went.
So that's why his knees are bent.
So whenever they go into surgery, they're not just going to replace his knees.
They're going to be straining his legs.
So it's, I know, dear Lord help.
He's going to be so tall again.
He's going to be tall.
He's so excited.
He's going to be like, I'm the height that they say on WWB now.
Yeah.
People like, you're not that tall.
Like, fuck you.
Like, I am that tall.
My knees.
But he's, he's, he's around him again.
I know, I know.
But I swear to God, I never seen anybody so excited for a surgery.
He's really excited about it because he's so much pain.
So I love his way, guys.
Well, yeah.
What's the, Kim, what's the nagging thing for Randy when he gets out of bed?
Is it a neck?
Is it a knees back?
You know, it's, I would say right now, it's kind of like the hammies.
and he has his gun he wakes up in the morning and he just like kind of a gun runs it yeah yeah
well you know who what is it those the hair a gun the massage gun that there
uh oh she's freezing on us again
she's screaming you might hear some cuss words on
wait she's back she's back wait okay okay okay good wait
I'm sorry.
I don't know why this is happening.
We're good now.
Yeah.
Don't you start that.
No, I think we're good now.
So his morning routine is the Therrigan.
He has a cup of coffee and he just hits his body with Therigan and he's good to go.
Wow.
So since he's in it, you know, every week on WWE television, what's a typical, like, when does he normally leave for the airport and then when's he back?
So it's so crazy since COVID, right?
It's been, am I frozen again?
You're back.
Okay.
It's crazy because since COVID, he had this awesome schedule.
Sure.
And, yeah.
And so he's really been going.
just really for raws.
So he'll leave Sunday and he'll work Monday and he's home Tuesday.
But now he's doing Smackdown too.
So he's gone like he'll leave Thursday.
He's there Friday.
If he does a house show Saturday or if there's a pay-per-view Sunday,
then he's like gone for the whole weekend.
You know, and then he'll come home Tuesday.
So that's been kind of tough.
And now going back to Europe, stuff like that.
that, you know, he's been gone a lot more than he has been the last few years, which sucks because we're, like, having our house redone and we're, you know, moving and we have a lot going on.
So, like, I kind of need him here right now and he's not here as much.
But he gets that nice little, peaceful, relaxing a couple of days to clear his head.
Good for him.
How much longer do you think he can keep the pace up that he's going at right now?
you know gosh for as long as he wants
he looks great
he does i want to look like rand yorne when i grow up
he makes me so mad like i get so jealous
why you're so shredded and i can't be
and he's like well you eat like shit
i'm like maybe you know if i tried a little harder
but we're gonna say okay yeah
you're just gonna get fat together it's all good i don't know
The warmer it gets, the more I eat.
And I don't know what's going on.
You know.
It's like summer's coming.
Let me eat.
I know.
It's like summer's coming.
Let me eat as much as I can.
You like that cookout.
grilled food.
I like every food.
But Randy, I think Randy,
Randy will be good until,
until he says, you know what?
I don't feel like doing an RKO anymore.
Basically.
That one's like, that's a move.
And I know he,
I think he mentioned this.
Like, that's a move that's really difficult on your body, too.
Well, it is.
It's like, I mean, you're just car crash every time you fall.
Yeah.
His ART guy, like, every week, he's like, you know, fixing his,
does his neck and his back and stuff like that.
He's like, gosh, like, if normal people did this beat themselves up every week like this,
there's like, no way they be in function.
Yeah.
But he talks a lot to.
take care of himself to keep himself healthy. He does like a lot of physical, um, like,
physical therapy type of things. He does a lot of warming up before his matches and he does a lot of,
you know, weekly ART stuff. Yeah. And him having that bus definitely helps. Oh my gosh. 100%.
Oh my gosh. And in so many ways. Yeah. And her wish that he had a body. He should,
he wish he had a bus whenever he was wrestling. He's like, that's one thing I wish I wish I
had. And I'm like, that's one thing you should have done. Like, you should have took your care of your
body a little bit better because just like the RCAO. Yeah. Like Kurt had to do the angle slam.
So that was on his back too. And then he had to do that with like carrying people. So I mean,
it's rough on your body. It's so rough. But like Randy's definitely, you know, he's doing it right.
And I wish that Kurt did that in a lot of wrestlers. I know that they're trying to, um,
save their money as much as possible,
but you've got to take care of your body
because that's what's going to carry you.
Randy's doing it completely.
Like even Kurt,
like asked Randy for advice on stuff.
And because Randy's doing everything he should,
especially when it comes to a career like that.
You need to take care of your body.
And now Kurt's finally taking care of his body.
It's ridiculous.
He's been trying to like preach that a lot to the guy, too.
You know,
smarter not harder.
It's like if you want to make a career out of this, if you want to be here for three, four,
five years, that's cool.
Kill yourself.
You know what I mean?
Kill it.
Break your body.
Kill yourself.
But if you want a career out of this, you got to like, you know, know, know how to do that.
You got to maneuver around the right way.
Sure.
I'm so curious for both of you guys.
When you start to date and then marry the men that you're with now, is there a certain point
where you realize because of the fame that they have, you're going to lose.
maybe a piece of yourself because there's infinitely more famous than you are that they're always
going to be the focus. Is there like a moment of realization with that? Gosh, you want to go,
gee? It's so strange. It was super. Yeah. So like we were at two different stages in our lives,
too, like when we met our husbands. You know, I had three kids. I had been married. He had been
married. I had a life for a very long time, not people not knowing my business, people not
caring about me. You know, like I went and I did my thing. And, you know, I, if I needed to tell
somebody off, I didn't have, you know what I'm saying? Like, just normal things that you get to do.
Not that I go around fighting people, but, you know what I mean? Like, it's just normal life when
no one cares about your daily activity to now all of a sudden like people are interested and
people have opinions and some are good and some are bad and you know you want to defend yourself
well I did at least like you know people were saying things about me that just weren't true you
know and I wanted to defend myself and like you've got to kind of learn and Randy really taught
me how like you have to have an
easier said than done, but you have to get a thick skin because people are always going to talk.
And I kind of, I think I just realized now, like, people probably always did talk.
I just never heard it or saw it. And now I do. And now, you know, you just got to make the
choice. It's like, I don't know, I've been like into all these like spiritual, motivational things.
And it's like, if I wouldn't take your advice, why do I care about it?
your opinion. So I just kind of like, it is what it is. And I, it's weird. It's more weird,
I think, for our kids. I'm kind of used to it now. But for as far as the kids go, you know,
Giovanna, her kids like grew up with their dad being Kurt Engel. My kids grew up watching Randy
on TV. And now all of a sudden, they live with it.
him and they they see Sean Michaels and they see Triple H and they see Vince McMahon and they're like,
oh my God, like, you know, dying as little wrestling fans and stuff and, you know, just friends
from school. It's like, oh, is your stepdad Randy Orton? And like, you know, so that's been an
adjustment. It's not a thing anymore. Now they're so over him and he's like, I'm still cool.
You know, he's like, I'm still a cool guy.
but just different.
Yeah.
And Giovanna,
how was it for you when you guys first started dating?
I think it's the same with Kim.
It's,
God,
it's like you don't have anything in common
with anybody anymore.
To be honest,
like my problems aren't the same as their problems,
but in a mom way or,
you know,
a certain, like, friend way or anything.
But when it comes to, like,
situations, it just doesn't match.
It sounds like it sucks because I could only hold like a certain type of conversation
with my friends growing up or like people I know, but then that that's where it ends.
And it's like I can't, I can't relate to that.
Or if they talk about like wrestling, it's like I didn't grow up watching wrestling or any
of that.
I was just thrown into it.
So if somebody says something about like, oh, that person, that person, oh, this and
in my mind, I don't look at them as a pre-rest.
I was like, oh, yeah, that person's nice.
And they're like, you know what I mean?
So it's like I, it's such a different world.
And the fans are so loyal and they're so hardcore.
And you, it's, you can't like, our husbands are known around the world,
like a circus in a good way.
And it's very like you forget.
Like I forget my husband is who he is.
I forget who he is.
And then when I go somewhere,
and then they're like, I'm such a big fan,
this and this, nah, nah.
And I'm sitting here, I'm like,
he's to make this freaking dork.
Like, I,
only if he knew the shit I know, bro.
Like, it's funny.
But our kids,
they,
they loved,
whenever Kurt was in,
like,
Dune wrestling is when,
like,
you know,
support your dad.
I try to want them to completely,
be away from wrestling. That's their dad's job. That's who he is. Yeah. But like when he's home,
he's dad and he's not Kurt Engel unless he tries to like act like he's cocky as shit like
an like an asshole and all that shit down. But like whenever like her friends, like their friends,
they call him Mr. Engel. Like I'm trying to make sure that they have like a normal life. Like,
you know, their dad is just like their dad. And, you know, friends.
I just want them to live such a normal life.
But then Juliana will come to school.
I mean, come home.
And I remember the first time she got so pissed off.
She was like, oh my gosh, this was third grade, I think fourth grade, third grade.
And she was like, mom, my friend said my dad sucks.
And I said, no, he does not.
You suck.
And so it was like, I was like, I was like,
And then I, I, I, I, try to explain her like, honey, that's just with my song.
Right.
It was so cute.
That's where she was like kind of confused.
Like it, like that was like that weird age.
And now she, she's like, they'll sing that you suck around him all the time or do some
crazy shit.
Oh, my life is just like, you know, whenever.
W.O.V.
This house is literally, as soon as it's on, everybody like watches it and everything.
But it's been calm down since he hasn't been wrestling.
But it's a different life.
It's a different world.
But we try to humble our life as much as possible,
but you can't escape it no matter what.

And now we're giving people an inside look at the World Cup.
Time's ticking.
I think you can feel the intensity.
All the guys are wanting to really stake their claim.
And they want to be on that World Cup roster.
There's no doubt about it.
Hosting the World Cup on the Home Soul.
comes with its pressures, but we're just really excited just as the people are.
The U.S. Soccer podcast, presented by Henco, follow and listen on your favorite platform.
I would imagine the most difficult part for both of you is that people want you to be an extension
of your husband rather than being individuals yourself.
Yeah, for sure.
I think that's why it was very hard for me to move to Missouri.
I had a life in New York.
I had people I grew up within New York.
I had, you know, I had my family there.
So moving to Missouri and not really knowing anyone.
And then the first thing for people to say is, oh, are you married to Randy Orton?
Oh, I know.
I went to school with Randy Orton.
Oh, da-da-da.
And then it turns into like, are you talking to me because, like, you think I'm fun and you want to hang out?
Or are you trying to, like, come over to my house to get a glimpse of my.
husband or do you want to like go hang out in the pool and you know what i mean like be moms and friends
and stuff like that and so that's so weird um but thankfully i found a group of girls and their husbands
who don't give a shit about who my husband is and it is worked out wonderfully yeah and i think that's why
me and kim also clicked too you know whenever we met it's like we got each other like on a different
level than anybody understands prior, you know. And it sucks because, you know, when I was talking
at Kim, when we saw each other, and she's like, you know, I miss my, my click, you know, that I grew up with.
And it's like, I totally relate like, because it's like, it's like a life that you had and you, you
miss being, like, you know, like not anybody knowing who you were. And, you know, it's just a good,
like you're in your own little bubble of like it's like kind of like freedom that you could
do whatever you want and then you know being kurt's wife and randy's wife it's just like
like people come to me i hate i hate going to grocery stores looking like crap i try to like blend
in but i'm like god please like i hope the god nobody recognize me because i really look like
shit and that they're gonna like yo bro crue wrangles wife is looking a little yeah yeah what
What was he thinking?
That's why I love the whole COVID mask.
Like the fact that we had to walk around with masks and everyone was pissed, I was like,
I'm cool with it because I can go to school with a mask on in a baseball cap and totally hide
and not feel like, oh, everybody's looking at me.
But it's like people are looking at you and people are talking about you.
And like I went to a Walmart.
Like he was like you were just saying I went to a Walmart and I had a mask on in a baseball cap.
And I don't know if it's my accent.
And because I'm loud, but like some guy came up to me and my mom.
I was like, um, are you Kim Morton?
And I was like, damn.
Like how do you even know?
Like what?
You know?
And that part is so strange to me still because I don't know if I've ever been like that as far as
you know, I'm famous people.
I never cared about, like, who they're married to.
Like that.
You know, it's like, oh, you know, Tom Prince.
He's a famous guy.
All right.
Or, you know, but I didn't care who he was married to.
So, but wrestling fans, like you were saying, G, are so invested in these wrestlers and want to know everything about them and want to know everything about their lives.
And it's pretty cool.
It is.
Very interesting.
Did anybody recognize Randy with the mask still?
Like, yes.
He has some pretty noticeable tattoos, I would say.
Do you want to hear a funny story?
People in there.
Well, people constantly see him.
Am I frozen?
All right, you're back.
You're back.
Okay.
People constantly, constantly will see Randy and go,
are you John Cena?
No.
What?
It's the weird.
thing. I'm like, I don't get it, babe. You have a tank top on. John doesn't have one tattoo. You have
all these tattoos. And he's like, you know, since we were young, people always have always said that,
like, they look very similar. And I'm like, don't get it. Yeah, don't get it. I took him first
Halloween, I met him. They came out with a Randy Orton mask, right? So he comes to upstate New York,
and I take him trick-or-treating.
And we're walking around and I'm like,
just throw the fucking mask on, put a hoodie on.
Nobody'll know who you are.
We're walking around.
Life is good, right?
All of a sudden, some kid stops in front of some lady's house.
And he looks at him and he goes,
and Randy's just staring back with his mask.
And he goes, are you John Cena?
What?
And he lifted his mask up.
And he goes, I get that a lot.
kid and he put the mask back walking it was awesome wow funny that's right so jiavana how how did you
meet kurt oh boy um the shorts the long story the short we well i they're both great
i mean okay we met on an independent um shop uh shop what am i what am i
wrestler we met on any pennant movie um and it it was it was just like one of those things where we
just kept running into each other i'm going to say the short story because it involves my mom and
giving her credit and blah blah blah blah so um yeah we just kept running into each other it was the
craziest thing um i it's so hard without telling the long story we're gonna get to kim's long story in a
minute here. So, okay. So we kept running into each other. And then I ended up being friends with
somebody who he knew. The first time I saw him, I thought he was like the sexiest guy I ever seen.
Like he was just a sexy curse. He's just a sexy curt. Did I just walk myself into that?
Thank God he was listening to this. Thank God. He would be singing that. I can picture him doing the
wiggle too.
Sexy Kurt.
Yeah.
Oh, he got that white boy wiggle.
Just his sexy guy.
Oh, just so you know, that boy has no rhythm.
He has no rhythm.
Just so you know, on his bucket list is to learn how to do ball dancing.
So if he has two brand new knees, he can do anything.
I can imagine.
He's gone on dancing with the stars as soon as his knees get fixed.
Oh, don't say that, please, because he has no the rhythm.
he would be we talk about that all the time he's like they asked him before and because of his neck he's like
he'd be like like because he broke his neck when he talks and you got to be off the robot
he can do the robot he has no rhythm he tries he tries he tries so hard guys but he can't dance
but he does want to he just he does want to do bucket list on it uh ballroom dancing um okay so
I ended up being like friends with his friend.
And she ended up losing his keys.
We were out in Ohio.
What is it called?
The Arnold Classic.
And my mom, like, we didn't know how to get home.
His car was right here.
She took his car and we went all the way out there for a few days.
And we were like, shit, how are we going to get home?
And she was like, well, Kurt has the spare key.
So I was like, oh my God, okay.
I was like, I could totally call my mom because she'll freaking like, this is four hours away, guys, like four hours.
So my mom, I called my mom and I did the whole like baby thing like, oh, help me.
Like I'm the youngest of like eight kids.
So I was like, it's your baby.
Help me.
Help me, mommy.
So my mom was like, okay, honey, I got just.
So she had to wait until my dad was sleeping because he works night, night shifts.
He works nice shifts and then he wakes up.
And so anyways, she had to do it in the morning while he was sleeping all day.
So she went all the way out, which was 45 minutes to grab the spare key,
drove four hours.
From Pittsburgh.
She's a boss.
She drove four hours.
Through it at me.
We were standing outside the hotel.
She threw it at me.
She's like, okay, baby, I got to go until before your father wakes up and then drives all the way back.
And I, she's the coolest mom ever, guys.
So this psycho, mother of mine, kept his number this whole time.
I don't know.
I don't know what she saved an under.
I have no idea.
I should like find out, to be honest.
Like, what did you save?
Is this guy's number?
I don't know.
Great call.
So whenever he was like going through his thing on the news,
she called me.
I was in school.
and she called me and she was like, you need to call him to see how he's doing.
I was like, Mom, I don't even know him like that.
She's like, you have to see if he's okay.
So I texted him.
I was like, hey, you know, just this is Jivana.
I'm not sure if you remember me.
Just making sure you're okay, you know, da-da-da.
So I was walking back to my class and he called me.
So I walked right back.
I'm like, okay, what I get myself into?
And he was like, hey, Giovanna.
Oh my God, I'm so glad you called.
it. I mean, you reached out and everything. And he was like so crazy, I saved your mom's number because I was,
I was going to ask for your number. So I was like, oh, wow, okay. But it was crazy because he was going
through, he was going through shit during that time. And that wasn't my time to make a move at all.
You know, I don't look at people and like, I'm at the lowest point. I'm going to jump right in.
but I felt like he needed a friend at that time
and we became friends
but it was like so fast
like we started like
we started hanging out and then we started dating in November
and because I remember because I was working on
unstoppable around that time so
we were dating in November
and then we got matching tattoos
it was so crazy like a couple months later
and then in March
beginning of March we got matching tattoos
and then the end of March matching tattoos.
It was so crazy because I do not believe
that you should have anybody's name on you.
That freaks me out.
I always talk shit about people who did that.
Is this sit on your arm?
No, no.
That was like, that was Acts 319.
So I, so it was so funny because he was joking around with me.
He's like, you know, he's like, would you be upset if I get your,
would you be, would you think it's crazy if I got your name tattooed on me?
And I'm like, I was like, you know, I have a lot of letters, right?
He's like, no, no, no, no.
He's like, he's like, if I do it, would you do that?
And I'm like, I am so not a person that puts anybody's name on me at all.
Like, I always talk shit about that, always.
I was like, why would you end up?
What?
Would you say?
He wanted you to stamp his name on you.
I know.
I was like, what are doing?
So he's like, if I do it, would you do it?
do it. So I was in that, I was young.
I was, what was like, like, 23 or something
that I was like, you know what? Fuck it. I was like
in that like, hey, you know what?
If shit don't work out, I'll just
cover it up with like a, like a rose or some
shit. Whatever. So
it was so funny. I never,
I don't even think I told the story before.
We were laying
he was, they put
him right there and then I was
right there. So mine's
four freaking letters. So mine was
like fast. I was like, oh shit. Like this
hurts. Like, it's right there. So he's like, I just look over. I was like, how are you doing over that?
He's like, it's all good. It's all good. So mine, I'm done. I go over. I was like, um, wow, you got like
four more letters to go. He's like, four more letters. It's like, now he's panicking. So after it's done,
I just like, oh, you forgot the dash, the thing over the A. He's like, bro,
Just do it. Just do it. You already went through all these letters. Just do it.
He was bitching like the whole time. He was like, he's like, I can't believe I'm doing this.
I can't believe I did this. I was like, am I going through like a life like midlife crisis or you go like, why are we doing this?
We've been only dating for a few months. But like right after that, what did you say?
That's just super cute.
It is. Look at you now.
Why do you get somebody's tattoo name on you after like a few months of dating?
Apparently it works.
I guess.
So, thanks, mom.
But like right after that, he proposed in March, the end of March, because it was near my birthday.
And he proposed.
And then-
I think that's the next step after you tattoo someone's name on you.
Like, where do you go from there?
Where do you go from here?
He said, as soon as I did that, I knew that you were the, like, I knew that you were the one.
I would never do that, you know.
But after that, I found I was pregnant in April.
So with our
That's a lot of life changing things.
That's a lot.
So when you say like, oh, how did it feel being thrown in this world?
It's like, okay, motherhood, wife, card angle, all of it.
Yeah.
Grown at me all at once.
So it was a ride.
Wow.
That was, see, I told you.
Long story short, which one do you want?
Wow.
No, but that's, it's such a great story.
That is.
What it is.
Kim, I think, Kim, I think your story.
Kim, I think your story.
gives like this hope to every wrestling fan out there that they can date and marry the wrestler
of their dreams too.
It might.
But like I think it was just a he was supposed to be with me type day.
Were you a wrestling fan or were you just a Randy Orton fan?
So Randy Orton fan.
I watched wrestling when I was a kid like everybody else.
me and my brother, you know, Saturday mornings, I think it was.
And the whole Colgins, you know, Roddy, Roddy Piper, those guys, right?
And then you grow up and fell out of wrestling.
And then I had kids and I had boys.
And they got into wrestling.
And I remember, you know, occasionally coming in and watching with them.
And Sean Michaels was still around.
So that got me happy because I like that.
like Sean. But then I remember like just like oh who's that guy? And it was like oh that's Randy
Orton and I'm like hmm. Randy Orton's kind of fine. You know, then it turns out to hey, you know,
when when Randy Orton comes on call mommy because I want to see him. And so like I would start
watching a little bit more but like never really cared too much about.
his personal life or anything like that.
It was just like to me,
he was this fine,
fine guy who I was like,
wow,
I really think like just looking at him and
like hearing him talk and everything.
I'm like,
wow,
I feel like if I met him and we made out,
that we would fall in love.
So he was like your celebrity crush.
He was my past.
It was my past.
And everybody knew it.
everybody knew.
Yeah, everybody knew he was my past.
And it was like, you know, if it happens, you know, it happens.
And it was so strange because I lived up upstate New York at the time that I met him.
And there was this little tiny in Pickeepsie, this little tiny arena and the Civic Center, the Pickeepsie Civic Center.
and I'm driving and I hear, oh, WWEs, Rand Yorton, and this one and that one is coming to the Pitsy Civic Center.
And I'm like, what?
There's no, there's no way that he's coming 10 minutes from my house.
And so I'm like, boop, bo, bo, bo, bo, you know, like, home for tickets, right?
I'm like, all right, we're getting tickets to the show.
And we got tickets and we, I took my two oldest, my youngest was too little.
He was three at the time.
And I took the boys to the show.
And it was so crazy because we got there like 30 minutes before doors opened.
And because they all wanted pictures.
And I'm like, I mean, all right.
You get to see Randy.
And so we're standing outside.
And his bus was there.
And it was the only bus there.
And we have all these pictures of like Daniel Bryan walking in.
and Roman and like all of these just random people walking in and taking pictures of them and
we waited and waited and waited and I remember being so hot.
Wow and my kids were getting mad.
They were like, let's go inside already.
And I'm like, well, don't you want to wait to see if Randy comes off the bus?
And they're like, no.
Yeah, literally.
Yeah, they're like, no, we don't care, mom.
And I'm like, all right.
So we go inside and I made my kids make a sign.
And Jifana reminded me of this.
Or Michael reminded me of this.
I didn't even remember, but I remember going to the mall on the way to the show.
And we made a sign that said, Randy Orton, RKO, my mom.
And so we bring it to the show.
And this dude, he just, like, he walks out.
I'm standing at the barricade with my phone.
And he's like,
huh,
looking.
And he goes into the ring and he's wrestling and he keeps like
turning back and I'm like.
So did you have front row seats?
No,
we were like in the eighth row.
I still have my ticket.
Oh, wow.
I still have my ticket.
And yeah,
I know.
It was a printed up ticket.
And the girl,
some random girl that was sitting.
me she's like I think he keeps looking at you and I'm like I think he's too oh my god I didn't want to say
anything and so he now matches over I go back to the barricade and he's walking through and he's like
you know doing the I'm too cool for school and flick and everything and he's walking past and he's
taking pictures with all these people and then he's stocked right in front of me and he's like do you want to
take a picture and I'm like yeah and he's like all right and he's like uh what's your name because
I got to get to know all of this and I was like okay I was dying like everything in my body was
shaking and I was trying to be so cool but I actually gave the security guard my phone number
and the security guard walked outside and gave me his phone number and
And literally 30 seconds after the security God gave him my phone number, he was texting me.
And he's like, hey, you know, there's this diner I'm going to, you know, would you want to meet me?
And I'm like, yeah, sure.
And I go and I meet him.
And we hung out for like an hour.
And I got in my car to leave.
And before I sat down in my car, he was texting me.
And he was like, I never met anybody like you.
I'm so glad I met you tonight.
You're so cool.
And I'm going to be around for the next couple of days.
Would you want to hang out?
And like from that day, that was it.
Wow.
It's like we've been together since that day.
That's an amazing story.
It was the craziest thing.
Because again, you're giving hope to everybody who has ever had a celebrity crush in
wrestling, in movies, in sports.
Like, you're, you're,
You're like the one in a million or maybe more.
I know.
I know.
You don't have to get those front row seats, ladies.
You don't.
You don't.
You can be an eight.
You could be in a 10.
If it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
At any point, Kim, were you not like, you say that to all the girls you meet in every town.
Oh, 100%.
Like, when after our first conversation was over, I told him, I was like, not for nothing.
I'm totally surprised that the man that you are, like, the first.
person that you are because I thought you were going to be some arrogant asshole.
Just because of who you are on TV, I just assumed you were like that.
And five minutes into our conversation, it was all about like, oh, I have a little girl and I
have a little boy and he has playoff game, you know, this weekend.
And it was like, immediately we started talking about normal shit, you know, oh, like,
what kind of TV do you like to watch?
the music you into like just right away and from that night it was like five hour of phone calls
every night every night and texting all day and when can you come see me and you know right from the
beginning and nobody in my family it's the funniest thing because like for the longest time to
like Kim is winning they would just hashtag everything winning winning because they're like
I've never heard.
Because they all heard me talk about him for like two, three years.
He's my past.
When I see him, we're going to make out and he's going to fall in love with me.
And we made out and he fell in love with me.
That's why we call her same Kim.
Same Kim.
Same Kim.
Manifestation, my people.
What are you manifesting now?
Because apparently anything's possible.
I tell Giovanna all the time.
I'm like, Giovanna?
if we want to do this thing,
like you just have to really believe it in your head,
tell yourself that it's going to happen
and make it fucking happen.
Yeah.
I feel like now,
but like the older I get,
you know,
I have more goals,
more things that I want to do
that I never thought before,
like,
would ever be possible.
I was,
and Giovanna knows me.
And Randy,
it was like a funny thing,
like terrified to be on camera.
We call me UP.
K, ugly pitcher Kim, because you saw me frozen so you know what it looks like.
Nobody looks good frozen, okay?
I try to tell myself that, but like, so I was always like stage fright, terrified of
everything, going to the first Hall of Fame with him.
I was like taking pictures like a freaking statue.
I was terrified.
And now he's like, look at you.
Like you do a podcast and like you're sitting in pajamas basically from the waist down like talking to people and you're comfortable doing it.
And you're giving Randy RKO's like that's an amazing video or videos.
I thought that was so cool.
He was like, let me RKO you.
I'm like, no, I don't know.
I think I just wanted to do it to you.
It'll be cooler if I do it.
You do it to everybody.
Nobody does it to you.
And that video went like it just exploded.
It was so crazy.
Yeah.
It was a lot of fun.
I think we'd do for a new one actually.
Yeah, I don't think I can angle slam Kurt.
So sorry, guys.
You can ankle lock him.
You can ankle lock him.
That's true.
Do the hump leg thing.
Oh, weird.
What was your wedding song, Giovanna?
Oh, my God.
Oh my God, can't believe you put me on the spot because I always put him on a spot with this shit.
It is, I knew I loved you before I met you.
Oh, that should have been my wedding song.
I should show.
You know, it's so crazy, Kurt, we have our engraved for you, forever yours faithfully.
And he said, you know, I really, you know, that would have been like, you know, my
That's my second choice of the song that we would have went with,
but we did that I knew I loved you before I met you.
So that's her song.
That's so sweet.
Kim, what's yours?
John Legend.
All of me.
All of you.
Yeah, all of you.
All of me.
All of me loves all of you.
Yeah.
All of me.
Love all of you, yeah.
Oh, that's a good time.
That's a good song.
Yeah.
I have taken up far too much of your time,
but I feel like I'm now like,
I feel like I'm a BFF now, so thank you for us.
You are.
This is.
Well, you do have on his little cousin, brother.
Yeah, I don't know.
I feel like we're like the same age.
So maybe we're like, are we twins?
Mom, where were you at?
Does that know?
A little bit of a wild spirit, that one.
You never know.
I end every conversation with the same question.
I talk about gratitude.
because I love gratitude.
I wake up every day.
And I say out loud three things that I'm grateful for,
and I do it before going to bed too.
So I end every conversation with this.
So we'll start with you, Kim.
What are three things in your life that you're grateful for right now?
I am very grateful for the health in my family.
I am grateful for, hmm,
I feel like everyone is pretty happy around me right now.
which is amazing,
especially having a lot of teenagers.
Everybody's kind of in a good place.
Wow, one more thing that I'm grateful for.
Oh, I'm grateful to be working with my best friend
and being able to, like, share fun experiences with people.
Hmm.
I have you.
Oh, I love that.
Look at, oh.
What about you, Gio?
Ivana.
I am grateful for my, I'm grateful for healthy kids and a healthy family.
Definitely grateful for that.
Yeah.
I'm grateful for being alive.
Wake up every day, just blessed.
I'm grateful for having an amazing.
awesome, wonderful dad, husband, father, everything he is to our family.
Like, he's just, he's the rock of our family and I'm just so grateful for his strength,
everything about him.
And I'm also grateful for you, Kim.
I was like, can you, of course.
The honorable message.
And our new journey together and everything that we're doing together for the last.
a wrestling podcast. I'm grateful for our team. Grateful for you for having us on this interview.
I'm doing four. Is that six? I'm grateful for everything. You can never be too grateful. That's
the great thing about it. I'm grateful. That'll be my next tattoo. I'll be on this one. Grateful.
Yes. Grateful for you guys. This was so much fun. This was a lot of fun. I was actually a little
nervous about doing this. I don't know why. Oh, you weren't a little bit. Yeah.
You did great, Kim.
Oh, I'm grateful for John Alba.
Oh, I love John Alba.
He is great.
He's single.
Oh, I feel like you and John look like you could be related.
How dare you?
How dare you?
I think he tries to copy your hair.
I, I, I, he's listening to it.
You said it, not me.
John is definitely listening to this right now.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But thank you.
You guys are so awesome and you're so sweet.
And everybody should check out the Wives of Wrestling podcast,
wherever you're listening to this right now.
And we got to work on getting Randy on the show now.
For sure.
I'll get them on for you.
I got you.
Yeah.
Okay.
Let's make this happen.
Yeah.
Okay.
Kim, Giovanna,
thank you guys so much.
Oh, wait, wait.
We got to do one thing.
Ready, Kim?
Yeah.
We're going to say goodbye to you, okay?
All right?
You're ready for it?
