Ladies and gentlemen, Chris Van Flee!
Oh, it is so good to see you.
Good to see you again.
The last time I saw you, you were not the WWE Women's World Champion.
Yeah, my life is crazy, so many things happen in a short time.
Yes.
Yeah, what have these last six months or so been like since I saw you last?
Many things happen, really.
I'm always saying my life as like a crazy TV show.
Because when I have a dream or something,
and in my head always happened different but better.
So the last six months, the last year was amazing.
Yeah, it hasn't even been a full year since you made your main roster debut.
So you debuted in June.
June, yeah.
And here we are.
It's April.
WrestleMania is right here.
What a year this has been?
I know how one year enrolled yet, and it's my first WrestleMania.
Wow.
Yeah, my first WrestleMania.
I'm exciting.
I'm nervous.
Yeah, so how does it feel going into your first WrestleMania, and not just your first
WrestleMania, but you're going into this match defending your world title?
Yeah.
Yeah, I remember one year ago I was in the WrestleMania in the arena, and I saw all the arena,
and I said, one day I really want to be here.
But in that moment, I never, I never think, like, I can do that so fast.
Like, this year, I'm not just there with the title.
I'm different.
My WW Women's Championship.
So it's, like, it's amazing.
It's more than my dream.
It's more.
You seem to be, like, this perfect example of someone who has a dream.
You work hard, you chase after it, and then you make it come true.
Sometimes thing happened for one reason.
Sometimes I always say I need to work hard and amazing thing happens and better,
better than my dream.
Where do you think that this ethic, this ethic came from, that you're always working so hard?
My dad is my best, my hero is my best example.
for dad. He worked so hard all the life. So I think I really learned about my dad. And I'm always,
always work hard. What a special moment when you won this championship. It was at Russell Palooza
and your dad is sitting there in the front row. And on top of that, it's his birthday. Like,
couldn't be a better birthday present for him. No, but this is amazing because that's a long story.
Before, Russell Palusa, supposed to be I go for a clash in Paris.
And I was really, really sick.
So they canceled my participation in Clash in Paris.
And I'm so really so sad.
So after they say, WB.
Say, don't worry, we have ice theory for you.
and Russell Paloosa is a big event as the first
Russell Paloosa, so I'm exciting.
And one week before, I getting sick again.
I feel like sick again.
So Medica say, okay, I'm sorry, but you can go for Resto Palosa.
And I'm already have the ticket, the flight for my dad and everything.
And, like, that was so hard in that moment.
But I talk with ProPage.
I said I'm missing for Spanish.
And I talk with many people in WWE and say, no, I'm ready.
I'm not sick.
I feel good.
I can do that.
Please just let me go.
I can do that.
And finally, I was there.
And that was, it was amazing because it's not just,
Russell, Big Event with Ioskai, and my dad there, and my dream.
That a woman was champion.
What did it mean to, after you were done celebrating, you got down off the top rope,
you got out of the ring, and you went and embraced your dad.
What did that moment mean?
I don't want to cry.
It was amazing because I think,
Maybe the only person I really saw all my sacrifice was my dad.
He stayed with me every time, forever, always.
So I really, in that moment, the first thing in my mind is like,
I want to go and hug my dad.
And we not say nothing.
like so deep, I say happy birthday.
It was his birthday, but it was a special moment.
Because I'm just my dad.
It's my hero.
And he knows it's my dream.
And when I was a kid, I always say,
one day I will be a champion.
And he just laughed.
I think maybe he didn't believe in that moment,
but I did.
What made you believe in yourself?
Like since you were a kid, you want to be a pro wrestler.
Now you're doing it on the biggest stage.
It's crazy because I don't know how by sometimes my life I have different and really hard time.
But I'm always trying to believe in myself.
Will your dad be there at WrestleMania?
I don't know yet.
Okay.
I mean, I won, but many problems we have.
issues with the fly and visa and anything but i won i hope you've had this championship now since
september you've had some amazing matches i want to start off with this one that you've had with
ioski you guys stole the show in indianapolis and at russell poulouza what was the idea
putting that match together because it was just it was a banger i really enjoy that a line because
I respect
Eio so much
she's amazing
she really so professional
and I really enjoyed that much
it was amazing much
and I'm not just
I'm always said I'm not just
the women's world champion
I win
I went with I won with
I was Kai
the best one of the
the best in the world. So it's like, for me, it's really special. I respect Eoskei too much.
And I remember after that show, many people say, yeah, you really make that show like
amazing because that much, the more important match in that day. And I remember Randy Orton
say, like, you made the, you and you, you made the, you made the, you made.
the Russell Palosa
because that was the best match.
Why do you feel like you have so much
great chemistry with you, Sky?
I don't know, I think maybe because
I'm training before
in Japan.
So I know the
Japanese style and
language, no
perfect, but we can,
we have a good communication
and we can understand
the style. We have many
many things like same and the style.
So I think for that reason,
we can do something really good chemistry in the ring.
So when you're putting the match together with Yo Sky,
are you speaking in Japanese?
Japanese, English.
She sometimes speaking in Spanish.
What?
Yeah, it's crazy.
I didn't know, but she speaks little Spanish.
How good is you Japanese?
Not so good.
But you wrestled there?
Yeah, but you know.
Two weeks ago or three weeks ago, I'm talking with Ioskai.
And the TV show for Japanese is there.
And I'll say, ah, she speaks Japanese.
She's saying Japanese.
And I say, yeah, I'm going to speak little Japanese.
I say in Japanese.
And the lady there, she asked me something in Japanese but so fast and like so, like, you know, like Japanese, like formal.
Yeah.
And me like, like, I didn't get it.
And I feel so bad and I say, I'm sorry.
The true is I speak Japanese, but now I think I forget a lot because I don't practice anymore.
But, yeah, if you speak slow with me in Japanese, maybe I can now.
Now my English is better.
Yeah, I remember the last time I say my Japanese is better than my English.
I think maybe my English is better now.
Your English is great.
Thank you.
What have you been doing to work on it?
Every day.
I'm studying every day English is so hard.
Like, are you working with a teacher?
Yes.
Yeah, I have my teacher.
She is amazing.
She's really nice.
And I try every day.
Like, I don't know how I can explain, but I never say no.
Like today, the interview, I'm always saying, yeah, let's do it.
I try.
I know it's no perfect yet.
But yeah, I'm always.
try. Sometimes I take more time and I speak slow because I need to think the answer or try to
find the word. But yeah, I think that's better for me. I'm always trying to talk with more people.
Sometimes in NXC I have friends who they speak Spanish, but I really try to speak in English.
So that helps a lot.

My name is David Goss, and I'm joined by my co-host, Megan Klinemberg.
And now we're giving people an inside look at the World Cup.
Time's ticking.
I think you can feel the intensity.
All the guys are wanting to really take their claimant,
and they want to be on that World Cup roster.
There's no doubt about it.
Hosting the World Cup on the home soil comes with its pressures,
but we're just really excited just as the people are.
The U.S. Soccer Podcast, presented by Henco.
Follow and listen on your favorite platform.
when we did our last interview, you had just learned English, like, a few months before that.
Like, that's crazy to think about.
Yes.
There's people that take Spanish lessons all throughout high school and can barely speak Spanish.
And here you are a few months in, having an hour-long conversation in English.
I'm so hard with myself sometimes.
And sometimes, the truth, sometimes I cry, like, ah, I didn't get it this.
or and many people around me, I was like, no, don't worry, you're good.
And the truth is I'm proud.
I think, like, yeah, I have one year here, one year and a half.
So if now I can't understand maybe 90% as a lot, I can speak, I don't know, 80% maybe.
But I'm good.
I think you're more than 80%.
You think?
Again, we're having a full-on conversation.
I only speak one language.
You speak three or four or whatever it is.
You know, like you're doing amazing.
Thank you.
How do you say I speak a little bit of Japanese in Japanese?
I'm...
That's amazing.
You know what happened?
That's funny.
But I think now with my promise some time,
AAA say I won in Spanish more than English.
But you know what happened when I try to speak Spanish
and the same time change for English
is more difficult than just speak in English.
Really, change language when you're talking about something
and then you change for Japanese or you change for Spanish.
It's really hard.
My brain, or maybe for my brain,
but my brain is like, stop a little bit.
So now I have a new challenge.
It's like, no, my promo.
They won my promo in Spanish and many things in English.
So I need to do everything in Spanish and change my brain for English and then change my brain for Spanish.
And I'm so confused, but that's good too.
I learn a lot.
The promos you've been cutting in Spanish are great.
And even if someone doesn't understand what they're saying,
they understand the passion that you're speaking with.
And I think that that's the great thing about it.
Like, even if the audience doesn't speak Spanish,
they're like, oh, I can tell she's getting angry
or she's getting emotional or whatever the case may be.
Is it easier for you to cut a promo in Spanish?
Yeah, because, I mean, many people on social media sometimes say,
ah, she cut the promo in Spanish because she can in English.
No, I can do it.
But if WW1 in Spanish, for me, it's better because I'm Latina.
I love my language and I love when people can understand that.
And I love people can know about me and about my language.
And I feel different.
I mean, when I speak in Spanish, I feel, I can feel different.
Because if I speak older language, I need to think about it.
I need to translation and need to say.
It's not the same when I say in Spanish,
just say in Spanish.
I really enjoy the promo in Spanish,
and I can do in English too,
but I love that mix between Spanish and English promo.
You've had some great promos with Dominic Mysterio.
Both of you guys speaking Spanish to each other.
It's just, it's fun.
Yeah.
And he speaks so fast and so good Spanish and English mix.
And yeah, that's great.
I love that.
You made Liv Morgan Cry with one of your promos in Spanish.
Yeah, but you know what?
I think maybe, I don't, I don't know why, but I think maybe Cocoa Dry Tears.
You said that.
Crocodile tears.
You said, yeah, okay, in Spanish, the same.
Oh, yeah.
Fake tears.
She's really good actress.
So I don't know if Leif is, sometimes fake,
so she can't make, like, fake cry.
So I don't know.
I don't know.
When Liv Morgan won the Royal Rumble,
she had the ability to go after your championship
or after J. Cargill's championship.
How did you feel when she chose you
and your women's world championship?
I'm really happy. I love that. I'm sure we can have a good match in WrestleMania. And I really hope live work hard because we have a big responsibility in WrestleMania. And yeah, I'm happy. I'm really happy with this history with this match.
How do you feel about your new entrance theme?
I like, I not love that song.
I love my old song, but, you know, writing many issues,
so we need a new song.
And I like, I like, I just hope people can understand that and keep the new.
I saw you working like really closely with Triple H putting together your entrance.
What was the original vision that you had for it?
What was the original vision that he had for it?
And like now what we see?
To be honest,
sometimes I feel like I can't have my entrance yet.
I try many different things in my entrance.
And I talk with AAA and I say,
I feel like I need more movement at my entrance or something else.
Because really, I'm just woke before now.
I have more movement, but before I just work.
And I feel good because that's me.
But at the same time, I'm always checked.
I'm always checked the older and the staff.
And I say, okay, Rhea has an amazing entrance.
She has movement.
EO have amazing interest.
He has more movement.
So for me, it's like, okay, I need something else.
and Triple H
helped me
with that
he always helped me
but
I like my interest now
it's a little different
than before
but yeah
I feel
to be honest
I feel
I'm still
looking for
something else
maybe
I don't feel like
that's it
something else coming
well I feel like
with WrestleMania around the corner
like you might get
a big entrance at WrestleMania.
Yeah, but maybe just one time
in WrestleMania can be something special
for WrestleMania.
But I don't know, I'm nervous
and I'm thinking about the match.
So I didn't think yet
about entrance and gear
and presentation and all that stuff.
But yeah, I want something special.
If we were to run into you backstage
before a match, what would it look like?
What would you be doing? How do you prepare?
I don't do a lot.
I just try to focus.
I'm a...
It's weird maybe because I'm a different person.
I always feel more adrenaline after the match.
I'm always in the gorilla.
I can see my co-workers on Everest,
and I'm just...
Stoic.
Yeah.
I don't know why, but always before something big,
I'm always when I live something strong, like hard.
Sounds like you're just in the zone.
Yeah, I'm so focused.
I'm so focused.
And I think this is really good, really good,
because I can't explain that feeling when you walk in front of millions of people.
and in TV
and there, the energy
you can feel in that moment.
So I think
it's something maybe
a little weird
because normally people are nervous
but for me it's good.
I feel after.
When I finish everything
and I go to my room
and I'm alone, then I
start thinking about it
and crazy.
But before, I'm so focused.
I'm so relaxed and I try to talk
to myself and then say, okay, we work for this.
Let's do it.
Are you able to go to sleep after a raw or after a PLE?
No, I'm not asleep after.
You're just like your adrenaline's through the roof?
Sometimes it's a lot of energy.
So, and sometimes it's crazy, but sometimes I go gym because I need to put out.
Midnight?
Yes.
Yes, but I never sleep after a big match.
Just to get the energy out?
Mm-hmm.
Wow. What did you do to celebrate after you won this?
I celebrate my dad's birthday more than my title.
Yeah, I mean, together.
But just we go dinner and talk because I'm always called my dad and we talk,
but it's different when you have the person there.
And for a long time, I live in my country left.
So I missed 12 years for my dad birthday.
So, yeah, I try to enjoy my dad's birthday and then celebrate my title.
Where was your first stop when you left 12 years ago?
Where'd you go first?
Mexico.
And then where?
Japan.
And then to the U.S.?
Yes.
Wow.
And did you go, like, knowing any of that?
Everybody? Wow.
I mean, I know people like coaches and training and they help me a lot.
Many friends help me a lot.
But no family.
I have family and just, I was 19 years old.
I'm crazy.
I'm just, I'm hungry, you know, so I just, I did.
When you dreamed of making it to WWE, did you dream it would look like this?
It's crazy because I
I knew it
I knew it I don't know how
but not like this
not like this
not like
this is better than my dream
this is better than my dream
really
wow
it just I love this
that like you have you had this idea in your mind
of what you were going to do what you were going to be
and then you just figured out what the steps were to get there
and you made
it happened. Although I'm sure that doing it, it took you about 10 years to get signed by
WWA, there were probably some times along the way when you were like, it's not going to happen.
Many times. Did you ever feel like giving up?
Oh, many times, many times, but I don't know how I can explain that, but I knew it.
I'm always saying, like, I never have plan B. I'm always have the plan to, like, my dream.
I never say, oh, if that not happened, maybe I can't go and be, I don't know,
wherever, all the, I don't know.
I never think about that.
I never thought, like, I can do that.
I'm always saying, like, yeah, this is my dream and I will be.
And we're here, but it's crazy.
I can't really explain.
I can't really explain the feeling.
It's like I knew it.
I knew it.
And I maybe not like this.
This is better.
This is better than my dream.
Not like this.
But yeah, I think maybe destiny.
You were making such a name for yourself as an international star.
Like anybody who knew anything about wrestling outside of the major companies knew who you were.
They knew what you were all about.
Did you ever think like maybe that's the most that I'll do?
Like if I'm just an international star on the Indies,
I'm okay with that.
I'm always one more.
And I did a lot.
I think I have a good experience.
Maybe I'm not the best yet.
I'm always trying to think.
Because when you feel like you're the best,
you stop to learn.
So I don't like that.
And I don't know.
I think I have a good.
and long experience.
But I want more.
I'm always one more.
What does wanting more look like now?
It's not just be champ.
You can be the best champ.
There's no one resume.
It can be two, three, four resume.
Five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
Exactly.
Yeah.
So I don't know.
Sometimes I push myself so hard.
But I'm always thinking like, okay,
I did this. I can do what is next. What is next? I'm always thinking what is next.
How do you feel when people say that you're the best wrestler on the planet right now?
I don't want to believe that because I tell you, if I think I'm the best, I'm a store learning and I don't want that.
Humble, I think that's important always. Yeah, I feel like.
like try to
I always try to
be better than before
just me
against me
or with me
but yeah
I don't want to stop
I don't want to think about that
you have this beginner's mentality
like this mentality of like always
wanting to learn
like you're never done learning
never
love that
do you have a name for this new finisher
you're doing off the top row
yes we're our name
finally.
Yeah?
Yeah.
And people don't know about that.
Oh.
It's a new.
Okay.
Backer, Inferno.
What is it?
Backer, Inferno.
I love it.
Oh, Inferno.
Okay.
Because Inferno is in Spanish, Inferno.
So it's a love.
It's a little bit like A.J.
Style spiral tap.
Yeah.
He said one time, he said to me, he said, oh, it's like my move.
And me like, like, oops.
And he said, no.
you look better. And I say, no, I can't believe you say that. I love him. He's the best.
Yeah, he is the best. How did you come up with this? This move?
That's move. It's so hard. I practice for many years. And I'm still nervous when I'm on the top.
But I love. I think I'm not the first person doing this, but I feel like mine.
It's a little different.
You land it so clean.
And like that's not an easy move with all the twisting you're doing to somehow then find where you're going to land and land perfectly.
But you know what?
People don't believe that.
But when like five, I think five or six years ago, I'm going to start to when I saw this move, I say I want to deal with more one more spin.
But in that time, I know most.
Nothing. Nothing. I know flypersen. Nothing. So I remember my coach was like, oh, okay, you want to do that?
I mean, like, yes, one more spin. And he's like, okay, first you need to try monsoon or something.
So I'm going to start to practice in the first rub and jump so bad. Like just back. And second rope, one spin.
Of course, many times at my neck, my leg really bad.
And then I'm starting for the top rub, and sometimes I'm on the top rope.
And like, no, I can do that.
And that was a long time to do the spin, one spin.
And then I say, no, I want to.
So I go to the top for the older side.
and one more and one more, and that'll take long time,
but I swear in the beginning, I'm just nothing, like nothing.
I'm a start for the zero.
And for that reason, after when I controlled that more,
and I say, okay, this is mine, and that takes a long time, but I did.
So I was in Mexico, and I have many big shows there,
but I'm overthinking like
there's no, no yet,
there's another moment to use this move.
And many people are like,
this is amazing moment.
The people training with me,
this is an amazing move.
Why you don't want to do that?
And I say, no, I want, but no yet.
And everyone, like, why?
In that moment, I never felt like I can go for,
I can come for WWE.
So in that moment, like, no.
Something inside me is saying, no yet, no yet.
And I didn't.
And when I saw in WW and I'm here and say, okay, now I know why.
Now it's the moment.
You were waiting to get to WWE.
Uh-huh.
Wow.
You're so innovative with your moves.
Like the SVD.
Like, it's a package.
It looks like you're set up for a package pile driver.
You turn it into a package backbreaker.
How did you put that together?
Because I have a lack control in the package.
But I saw many times, like, people sometimes just sit.
But I'm a small person, so I try to figure it out how, what happened if I grab somebody, like, told me.
But, yeah, that move, I try to, I'm always trying to find something new and special and try to mix because now, right now is so hard to do something.
new and wrestling because it's so hard. And I say, okay, if I maybe it's not a new move, but it's a mix
new move because I never see it before. And I have submission new to, but I need a move.
And I say, okay, I have a leg control and I have my leg strong so I can do this with any person.
So I'm excited to do the SVB, and I put that name because it's like Stephanie Biker, Breaker.
So like mine.
SBB, okay.
SVB, yes.
All right.
How did it feel when you went back to NXT recently?
Good, good.
NXT is my home, always.
You had quite the moment with Ria Ripley, where you guys did the double devil's kiss.
Yes.
And timed out perfectly, too.
That was so funny.
And Ria said, she's so nice.
She asked me first.
Like, I have an idea.
I'm like, yeah.
She's like, it's okay for you?
She asked me.
And I say, of course.
I mean, it's an owner if you do add for me.
And she said, can you show me how?
And I say, yeah, sure.
She just, she does perfectly.
Like, perfect.
Like, yeah, that's it.
So fine.
I feel like Booker T was just losing it.
Yeah, crazy.
Yeah, how much has Booker T?
Like, the move itself is great,
but how much you think Booker T really helped to get that move over?
You know what?
Before WWE, I did that move for a long time.
And one point, I did, but when I did that move before WWE,
was a little different
than now.
And when I started with
WWI, I think
like, okay, I want to stop to do that move
for many reasons.
I think sometimes people
take that move like
a different way
and I don't like that.
And
in NXT
one day with training
and I showed that move
and the coach
should say, no, that's good
and it's
you're people know that move and people like that move.
And I thinking like, yeah, but I don't know why I don't like anymore.
I don't want to do that move because I hate what people say, oh, it's just because that move.
And like, no, people can sometimes can understand that move.
And I'm going to start to do it again and I feel good because Bukerti make that move that people love this move.
So I'm starting to love this move again because Bookerty made me feel like that.
Did you see these signs in the crowd that were like Booker T's, ah, with a flame around them?
And you know what?
I'm still when I go to NXT sometime and watch the show, every Tuesday, they, when it's Bookerty entrance, people still say like,
Bukertie and Stephanie.
Come back.
It's amazing because people say my name and people say, ah,
every time.
And after one year, I mean, I know in NXT for one year and people still remember
that move.
And this is for booketing.
You know, if you hit that move, if you hit the devil's kiss at WrestleMania, it's going
to be loud.
I will.
I will.
Everybody in there.
Yeah, it's crazy.
People love that.
It's so fun.
I feel like we got a tease of a match, possibly, with you and Ria Ripley one day.
That's a match that hasn't happened yet.
I hope so.
I can say maybe this is one of my next dream.
Now I'm so focused on my match in Rosamania.
But yeah, I really want a match with Real.
Yeah, I feel like that one makes sense.
Mm-hmm.
Like, I feel like you guys line up perfect.
Although if you're both baby faces, does that mean you have to turn heel?
No.
I don't know.
Maybe it can be bad.
I don't know if I can envision you being bad.
You know what?
Maybe this is different, but before WWI, I was healed.
And now on baby face, I feel good like baby face.
But at the same time, I think it's time to change.
little bit wrestling. Wrestling is not just heel, not just baby face, not just this, this.
I think you can be baby face and wrestle like heel, and you can be heel and wrestle like
baby face. And now I don't want to put like, like, I'm a baby face. I'm a heel. I think maybe
it's time to change a little bit that and can be a much baby face against baby face too.
Yeah, I feel like the lines are blurred now.
And we see this with a lot of feuds going on right now,
where it's like a person's a heel, but they're doing kind of good things and vice versa.
That person's supposed to be a baby face, but maybe they're acting a little bit like a hill.
You're right.
The lines are blurred.
I think it's a good time to change many things and wrestling.
I mean, for sure, 10 years ago, nobody thinks a Latina can be champ.
And either in WW, if no, speak good English.
I mean, five years ago, many people say, no.
If you can cut a promo or you can speak really perfect English, you can go to WW.
And I'm here.
I still learning in English.
So I think it's time to change wrestling.
Wrestling is international.
Wrestling is different person, different characteristics.
different land, different stories.
I think I know everything need to be like five years ago, like this, this, this.
We need to open a little more to the new generation or the new time for wrestling.
Well, the reality is when the bell rings, it doesn't matter what language you speak.
Exactly.
Right?
Because everybody watching understands that you're wrestling.
Yeah, I think it's many things to change.
because for woman before was so different.
And many people are like, you need to be pretty.
You need to be like this.
You need to be like this.
For men, too.
No, you need to be tall.
You need to be big.
No.
No, wrestling is different.
And we need to start to change that.
And we need to start to open for different wrestling.
In 2025, you won the Slammy Award for Breakout Star of the Year.
What did being called the Breakout Star?
for you?
It's great.
It's great because there's many, many different things happen in that time than I never
believe that can happen.
So in that moment, they say, and I didn't know, in that moment, I'm there, and I didn't
know, like, wait, what?
People say that?
And they say yes.
And I'm so exciting because when I came to WWE, I worked really hard.
I must share work really hard every day.
So that kind of thing that made me feel like, okay, people can see how, like, how hard work I put here.
You have the most wins in 2025.
Yes.
Out of everybody.
Did you realize that?
No, no yet.
How did you find out?
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
I told you.
That's my dream is better.
my dream. And like, I want to be a WWE superstar and I'm here when most winner title. And
like, it's crazy. It's crazy. But the same time is, I feel like a lot of sacrifice. Oh,
we have rewards. And I think that's the rewards. And I don't know. That made me feel like
who what is next but the same time it's like I need to be proud because sometimes I I'm so hard
with myself so I need to be proud with that the all the history I made here how did you find out
that you had won the most matches did someone tell you did you see it online my my mom yeah I say
my mom take video and TV and I walk in my entrance and the and the edge of the
screen.
Say the most
winner and like,
wait, what?
Yeah.
And in that moment,
my mom,
of course,
she,
she didn't know
about that.
And she sent me
the video
and she
knew she can read
English.
So she
doesn't know
about that.
And when I
take the video
and say,
wait,
I didn't know
too.
This is amazing.
Do you watch
your matches back?
Sometimes,
yeah.
But sometimes,
I'm
I'm so high with myself.
So sometimes I say, okay, no.
I'm always, when I, after my matches, I'm always thinking, like, I can do better.
And many people are like, no, you're doing great.
And I said, I can do better.
So sometimes I'm so hard.
And, like, no, I don't want to watch my match.
But that makes sense that you're your own worst critic.
But are there ever matches you watch back and you're happy with your performance from bell to bell?
I try to listen more, the people reaction or that commentary for people.
And not just the crown, just people like on the locker room, like co-worker, like people
with a lot of experience.
They always have a good commentary about that.
So I try to look more the good things.
I can't believe you did the devil's kiss on a ladder during that Money in the Bank.
Like, just even get the positioning of that.
But then, like, that's hard on your knees too, right?
Yes.
Yes.
A little bit.
And, yeah, I was crazy and really fine.
Did that one hurt?
A little bit.
But I heard more for Ria, the big.
How you say that in English?
Like a goose egg?
Like a big welt on your head?
Yes.
Yes.
Yeah, sometimes.
devil's piece can be hard for me too for my knee.
But I know if my knee hair,
because the older person has more.
It's good.
It's good.
That was fine.
What's been the scariest moment you've had in the ring so far?
I don't know.
To be honest,
every time when I go to the,
for my finisher,
the top,
I'm nervous.
I'm literally scary.
I have many fell in together.
but the more scary, I don't know.
I don't know.
And I'm happy because I never have, like, a big problem in a match or accident because
that can happen.
And I have a really good control.
So I know I have, like, the issues in my matches.
I don't know.
I don't remember.
I'm a scary much.

This many years in your career, is there like an overarching way that you look at wrestling
and the way that you tell a story in the ring?
Wow.
Wrestling, pro wrestling is so high for that reason because there's many.
things together. It's not just Brussels. It's not just be a good author, be a good actress, and
tell a story in the ring, have a good technique, be strong, have good condition, and look good.
You need to pick attention with TV. Good facial expressions.
expression.
Where is the camera?
Do you look for the red light on the camera?
Oh, this camera's on me right now.
Well, there it is.
I try.
I try because I'm learning that right now in WWI is different,
but before for many years, I'm just rustle.
So now I'm learning.
And yeah, I try to do that.
But at the same time, I try to keep the real wrestling on me.
So I try to just feel more.
then the camera is here, the camera's here.
But yeah, it's many, for that reason I love pro wrestling.
Because there's many things together.
People can understand sometimes you need to pay attention for the referee,
for your opponent, for the TV, time of TV, the camera.
That how you tell the story for the people,
how you feel, depend on reaction, depend on the crowd.
timing. I mean, many things together and one match. And sometimes you need to tell a story in three
minutes, and that's so hard. And maybe sometimes you need more condition because you have a long
match and you're tired because you have a long week. And so as many things end up in one match,
I can't say, like I pour attention. I try to be, I'm always trying to be a complication.
played brusseler, so I'm always put attention in everything and every detail.
And for women, I think for the women, it's more difficult because we put attention and nails,
lashes, hair, every detail for me is important in one match.
And wrestling in general, for me, is important every point.
but the more, I think the point,
we are a professional wrestler.
Wrestling is the first thing.
This is first.
Wrestling.
Do you remember getting that call
that you were going to the main roster?
Yes.
Walk us through that.
I remember because when I was in NXT,
I love NXT.
I felt like at home.
And I remember many people say,
okay, many people are waiting for you and raw and the main roster.
But at the same time, Sean Michael is like,
we need you here and we want you here.
And the same time, like, I want to stay here,
but I want to go for my roster.
And in that moment, I know feel very good
because I'm still learning, my English.
with no good.
Now it's better, no perfect, but better.
And I feel, sometimes I feel like, no, I need more time.
But at the same time, like, no, we, I talked to myself and, okay, I need to be brave and just do it.
And let's do it.
So I feel good because people in Roan and Maherstor made me feel so good, made me feel
at home too and many different challenge and big challenge i feel like you have been go go go
for the last year maybe more when you finally do get some time off what do you like to do i don't have
time i know people sometimes oh day off and say what is day off i don't have day off because i'm
always and you know what i don't know if it's good maybe
But in WW now, I have one year and I have, I never stopped.
But before WWI, I have 10 years.
Never stopped.
Never stopped for 10 years.
Because every day I'm thinking, like, I will be a WWE superstar.
And I wake up every day.
So I don't remember the last time when I take vacation.
I don't remember the last time when I did something.
like and a hobby. Sometimes I try to bake a little time. But I try to do something like enjoy
like outside for wrestling, but it's like no. No, I can. I can. I always thinking like I can do
this better. So I need to study. I need to training. I need to do this. And I try to big
time, but no, I know how day off. And I feel good with that. Maybe it's not really good. I know
at one point I need to take a little break. But for now, I feel, I feel good with that.
Well, you're passionate about this. Like, this is your hobby, right? And when the thing that you love
is the thing that you get to do, my goodness, how blessed are you to be able to do that?
Exactly. It's my passion. So I know it's sacrifice, yes, but I love to sacrifice for this.
This is my passion, is my life, wrestling in my life.
What's the most important thing in terms of recovery?
Is it sleep?
Is it going to the gym?
Is it cold plunger sauna or something like that?
But like, you've obviously got to take that time to recover.
Yes, yes.
And now, to be honest, the last time with Raquel was hard.
Take time.
And that's scary me sometime because I have a big responsibility.
I can injury, I can take a long time for recovery.
But I think sleep and diet and training is the best option to recovery.
And many people talk about recovery, like body recovery, but you need to recover here too.
It's important.
Sometimes you're overthinking and you need to recover here too because we live a big emotion.
What was that look like for you?
I'm always trying to keep close to my family.
To my people.
I'm always saying my people.
My family and my sister and my mom.
I'm never, I call my sister every day, every day.
And I think this is my recovery of the keep club of my family.
Like centers you?
Yes.
Sometimes we just talk about funny thing
or nothing we're just
envisical like doing something
easy in the day
but after 12 years
I'm known home for 12 years
so I think for my recovery
my heart recovery
is to keep close to my family
this is the important thing
12 years in
go go go all the time
does anything on you hurt right now
I know
How lucky are you?
No.
I mean, you know, we have, I have many scar.
And I hurt some time, but if you talk about injuries, I know I'm good.
I feel like, oh, after 12 years of career, of course, my body is hard.
So I need to recover you.
But I'm not having really injuries right now.
So maybe I'm no, I'm no 100% for WrestleMania.
I think I need to recover many little things in my body.
But I'm not having injury, so I'm good.
So what are you, 98% for WrestleMania?
Yeah.
99?
Yes.
98.9?
I think sometimes, you know, when we don't have time, I can train, like before,
I can, I mean, I'm always training, but I know like before because I know at the time.
Sometimes I'm so tired.
Sometimes I need to recover like my uncle, like my knee, I need more time.
And the time here is so when I have stopped, I don't have day off.
So it's good.
At the same time, the body is like I feel like hurt.
And that's normally because I'm.
pro wrestler. If nothing
hurt, that is weird.
That is weird. Something's wrong.
But yeah,
sometimes I think I need
to take care of more
of my body.
Tell me what it's like going through the airport
carrying the women's world
championship.
Sometimes they stop me and
can we see that?
The bell?
I'm late.
For my
I need to run.
But yeah, it's nice.
It's really nice.
People's really nice with that.
And I love when, you know what?
I love when I'm in photos and that little girls come with me.
Can I grab the title?
I say, yeah, of course.
And they grab like, oh, because it's so heavy.
I love that.
I love that.
It's been so good to catch up with you.
So good to see you.
Your English is amazing.
Thank you so.
And I saw you in Chicago at Elimination Chamber.
Like, we got to do another one because my English has gotten so much better.
Yes.
But your English had that interview was already great.
Your English here is...
No, I remember when we had the interview last time.
Yeah, that was September that we did that.
September.
Yeah.
But I think it was my first, like, long interview in English.
Wow.
And before, I'm so nervous.
But you make me feel so good in that day because I can't...
I'm relaxed.
so I don't think, over thinking, and I feel good.
So for that reason, I say, yeah, please.
Is this the only interview today that you're doing in English?
No.
Okay.
Oh.
So you're doing lots of English interviews now.
And Spanish and English.
Back and forth.
I love it.
Well, I will ask you the question that I asked you last time at the end of this interview
because gratitude is such a huge thing for me and my life.
So, Stephanie, what are three things in your life that you're grateful for?
right now.
Wow.
I don't remember what I said the last time.
I don't either.
I have really bad memory.
You've got a lot going on.
The support for all my people,
and that means not just my family,
the all my people.
People always support me at the Crown
the WW universe.
Because what else?
I'm healthy.
that's important and that's crazy because sometimes I think like wow I'm training a lot I have
long career and I have I have an injury before so bad and I thought like maybe this is the end
of my career and I'm here this one yes so um thankful because I know have more injuries not like that
know again, so I'm healthy, and this is really important.
And I don't know, I can even describe everything,
but the way where, how I feel right now,
how I feel about my life,
survive for many things in my life, personal life.
And I don't know if destiny,
this, I'm the champ
and I think this is the more important
for me right now.
Thank you again.
Thank you.
