podcast. I'm your host chat alongside my beautiful wife, Sherry. On tonight's episode, we are going to be talking about the great North American eclipse that will move across the United States on April the 8th.

And if you're fortunate enough to live along the path of totality, you may be able to actually enjoy the full effect of the moon blocking out the sun at least for a few minutes. And I know for Sherry and I back in 2017, we were able to witness totality in an eclipse where this eclipse

moved from essentially Oregon, off the coast of South Carolina. There were people from all over the world coming to the United States to be able to witness this in real time. I know Sherry and I were not together that day, but man, it was just crazy when it actually happened.

Everything got very, very weird feeling and there were so many things you don't think of that happened during that time. And what did you think about that day, Sherry? Because I remember we were texting and I was all right, it's about to happen, so I'll talk to you in a minute. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience

that we experienced. And I really didn't know what to expect when it was coming. Yeah, people say, oh, yeah, it's going to get dark. But actually watching this thing in real time, it was like you could see the moon. It looked like the moon was moving in front of the sun. And as it was happening, it went from light to kind of dusk. And then when it got dark, you're like, holy cow, it's dark in the middle of the day. And then it went back to dust to light again.

But it was just a very eerie feeling, watching all that. and then seeing all your friends outside looking up at the moon and the sun. It was just very eerie, but it was a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget. Yeah, I remember there was a lot of weird things that happened during totality, right? So as this thing is starting to approach and it's starting to get darker and dark and darker, there are things you don't really think about. Number one, we were able to see stars in the sky when it was in complete darkness.

There were lights that were coming on that were set to come on at night. there were birds that stopped chirping completely. They thought it was nighttime. Just a few minutes earlier, that's all you could hear was birds. I was in the city at the time, but everything was very weird. You almost kind of felt weird. Your body felt strange. Your mind felt weird.

You just didn't feel right. Obviously, yes, it is dark at like what. I don't even remember what time was. One or two o'clock in the afternoon. Yeah, it was weird. But yeah, we at least got to witness that. There's not many people in our history that gets to witness that. There's only been so many.

Total eclipses in our time, which we're going to talk about how many of those have been during our time. And by the way, I don't know if most people know, but most of the eclipses that have happened in our civilization has happened during wartime. Do you realize that? That is very eerie again. But also, I just want to remind y'all, if you are going to be in these areas and you do want to watch the eclipse, make sure you have eye protection. Gosh. What are we to CDC? I'm serious.

You will ruin your. eyes if you look at it without protection. You'll be right. And I'm not talking about a mask. I'm talking about a mask for your eyes. Yeah. Make sure you wear your mask, guys. I stay six feet away from each other. Oh, wait. That's not the eclipse, is it? Oh, yeah. CDC's probably saying that shit, no.

But guys, welcome to the show. The name of that song, by the way, at the intro was End of the World, Tom McDonald, feature in John Rich. We played Tom McDonald on the show quite a bit. He always has great songs, especially to kind of tell a story about what we're about to be talking about. And, you know, in the world, there's a lot of people out there that think that is this the end of the world? Is this at least a sign due the end of the world? And then there's also people that have got some information, firsthand knowledge, that are saying some things potentially could happen during this time. Now, we know there's been at least 13 states that have called for a state of emergency. A lot of people are questioned, why would

you call for a state of emergency during a eclipse? And that is very concerning. It's very strange. And I think as we've talked about it many times on this podcast where no one trusts the government anymore whatsoever for any reason, shape or form. And so whenever things start being put in motion as far as state of emergencies, troop movements, national guard, you name it. People are going to question it. They're going to fear it. They're going to think about it.

And so we're going to cover every possibility what everyone's talking about, about this eclipse. And by the way, I do want to let you guys know, this would be a perfect episode for you to share with your friends. I have been seeing on my personal Facebook. A lot of stuff we talk about typically on this podcast, I don't usually see on my Facebook timeline. I guess Facebook is allowing people to talk about this.

And so this would be a great episode for you guys to share with your friends so that they can kind of get the whole picture of what everybody's really talking about and condense it to one episode. And I just find it very strange that there's 13 states having a state of emergency during this day

when in 2017 no states were under any kind of emergency. It was almost like a celebration and everybody was looking forward to it, getting their glasses ready, and getting ready for this cool experience. And now this time, there's something weird going on. Yeah, absolutely.

Yeah, what does the government know that maybe we don't or maybe the fact that we're speculating on certain things? We don't know. But as you guys know, with our podcast, we've talked about so many things we thought were never even possible. And now it's just like, oh, that's just reality now, right? I mean, the government talking about aliens, how the government treated the pandemic and how they treated people

and and just the state of the state of affairs and the state of the world right now, it seems to be in turmoil on a constant basis. And so we're going to talk about all of that here.
