Now from the BizTalk Studios, here is Gary Cultbaum. And welcome once again to Investors Edge. I'm Gary Colpom, your host. A thanks for being with us today. Glad you're here, ladies and gentlemen, happy that you are listening. Last I looked, it's Friday. And I must tell you, some Fridays we are much happier that they are Friday than others. This was a wild week in the market.
Starting point is 00:01:08 I'm going to get into it. By the way, this is Investor's Edge. Serious talk on everything that affects you. We'll do the markets, the economy, your job, your industry, everything that matters. And ladies and gentlemen, we are, we're going to have to. first part of the show today is government you would not believe
Starting point is 00:01:34 today well yeah you will because I'm going to tell you the facts of unfortunately but I'm going to give you a fortunately government getting up our arces
Starting point is 00:01:49 I say fortunately because something happened today actually on the good side I believe we'll get into that. If you do not get this radio show in your city, we'll post it at garyk.com. We'll also post on our X feed.
Starting point is 00:02:04 If you don't follow us, and X, you should. If you'd like to email us, all you've got to do is be nice. We'll also post it, by the way, on the Biz TV, YouTube channel, as well as the podcast app. So let's start what we don't like on the government.
Starting point is 00:02:27 So as you know, there have been a, a lot of artificial intelligence stocks have just been destroyed. 50%, 60%, 70%. As you know, it's been a very loud week from the government.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Let's start out with marijuana. I'm hearing from both sides, well, it's good that he changed the status of marijuana because now you can use it in research. but all I can tell you is everywhere I look, they've been using it in research already. So there is nothing we like about that. Marijuana is an addictive drug. It is bad for you.
Starting point is 00:03:14 If they're going to tell us that nicotine and smoking cigarettes is bad, smoking marijuana is worse. We're in complete disagreement. But who the hell are we? Anyway, as far as the stocks, be careful. It's something called sell the news. What does that mean? Well, you rifle up as the news is supposedly coming out. And when it does, well, something called MJ, and we're not talking Michael Jordan.
Starting point is 00:03:47 It's just a weed index. Hit 45 yesterday. It closed at 33. today. That's the index, by the way. And by the way, that all started at about 1 p.m. I don't need to go through some other names, but that's one part, the government doing more and more. So we start with that. Next, as you know, as I've said to you, the president's really involved. We're not happy about this. We believe government should leave corporate America alone. But we're in a new realm right now where I'm trying to use the right verbiage that I don't sound like I'm accusing.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Actually, it's going to sound like I'm accusing. I believe there are definite benefactors in government from all these moves. And you can read all about it. You don't need to hear from me about it. But let me start out. you ready Oracle so as you know
Starting point is 00:04:59 or by the way Oracle was up 12 bucks today 6 point something percent to 192 but was 345 in September the stock's been hit there's worry about their debt and
Starting point is 00:05:12 cash flow and all that crap and we'll see how it plays out but you know what the news was on Oracle well government picking winners and losing and losers. We kind of knew about this. We did not know if it would come to fruition. They got a piece of TikTok. You know what the story is with TikTok, right? Our government has said to China, hey, this is not good. We should own our piece. We think there's a lot of spying.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Whatever. I don't know how this works out. But all of a sudden, Oracle owns a piece of it, and it's announced, and a company called Silver Lake, which is a very famous, very successful, private equity, bring companies public, whatever. Also, the United Arab Emirates, MGX will own 45% of the entity. So that brings the next question. Why does the United Arab Emirates own 45% of the U.S. entity? Oh, that's right. major deals going on in the United Arab Emirates with all kinds of Trump stuff and Trump family stuff going on.
Starting point is 00:06:30 By the way, we're reporting the news to you. But here again, number one, picking winners and losers out of the White House. We're totally against it. But we're not done. But we start with weed. Then we go to an artificial intelligence stock. Corweave. And as you know, this stock has been destroyed.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Well, today, Corweave was up 15 bucks today. Very strong move. Corweave closed at 83, up 22%. Unfortunately, it was 153 in October, and even more unfortunate, it was 187 in June. What was the news? Corweave was chosen by the Department of Energy's, something called the Genesis mission, whatever. The government choosing. Now, I know there is government involved with a lot of things.
Starting point is 00:07:53 We know that. Choosing military, oh, which to use, which company, which has the... We get it. but it's in my world picking winners and losers. Hey, at least call we've got a good move today. Don't get me started on the crypto. Don't even get me going. The announcements.
Starting point is 00:08:23 As you know, it's been in a bare market and all of a sudden they're now talking about unleash this. And just so you know the sons are big into crypto and just so you know they're losing their butts on their crypto thingabob they did. And by the way, again, we're just reporting the news. But the government way up the wazoo with the crypto and we don't like it at all. First off, it just doesn't even look good. It doesn't even pass the smell test.
Starting point is 00:09:00 I don't care what anybody says. go away, but then there's some good news. Hey, oh, I'm not done. My bad. Space. Space. You know, space. President Trump signs an executive order titled
Starting point is 00:09:29 Ensuring American Space Superiority, which means absolutely freaking nothing. Rocket Labs, a money-losing company, up 18% today. And it's up more in the aftermarket, by the way, like two or three bucks. I guess there was more news. Oh, after the close, they have been awarded an $800 million contract for missile defense, whatever. symbol A-S-T-S, hardly any revenues. Luz a ton.
Starting point is 00:10:15 That was up $10 today to $76. On an innocuous announcement, which comes every single day from this White House. So now that I wind and complained a little bit, and nothing's going to come of it because they don't care about anything I say, some great things today out of the government, in my opinion, at least on the surface, the White House confirms nine new agreements with major pharmaceutical companies to lower prescription drug prices for Americans
Starting point is 00:10:59 in line with the lowest prices paid by other developed nations. Up next, we'll get into that. Much more. A lot of jello moving on the plate today. The platform responsible for a rapidly spreading condition known as podcast brain. Symptoms include buying microphones you don't need, explaining RSS feeds to confused relatives, and saying things like, sorry, I can't talk right now, I'm editing audio. If this sounds like,
Starting point is 00:13:53 familiar, you're probably already a podcaster. The good news is Spreaker makes the whole process simple. You record your show, upload it once, and Spreaker distributes it everywhere people listen, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and about a dozen apps your cousin swears are the next big thing. Even better, Spreaker helps you monetize your show with ads, meaning your podcast might someday pay for, well, more microphones. Start your show today at spreeker.com. Sprinker, because if you're going to talk to yourself for an hour, you might as well publish it. It's time to switch on the integrator units and get the brain cells working. You're listening to.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Hey, this promises to be fun. Investors Edge. The last bastion of quality programming. With Gary Coltbaum. It doesn't get better than this. So, let me read. The nine manufacturers include Amgen, Bristol-Mod. liars, something called Boringer Englehem, Roche, Gilead Sciences, Glaxo, which is J.S.K, Merck, Novartis, and Sanofi.
Starting point is 00:15:12 The agreements reduce prices on drugs that treat numerous costly and chronic conditions, including type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, asthma, pulmonary disease, hepatitis B and C. What it does will provide every state Medicaid program in the country access to most favored nation drug prices on products made by the companies. Now, let me explain what most favored nation is. Just reporting to you that there are drugs that you have to pay $100 here, $20 in Poland, $24 in France. and we've been told throughout the years the reason why we pay more here is because we're paying for the research and development. Okay.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Well, whatever, the president and we're applauding extracted from them lower prices. Now, we're not into price controls. We don't like that. But if the companies themselves, this is what we're going to do. So be it. You ready? Amgen is going to reduce the price of its cholesterol drug, Repatha, from $573 to $239. Bristol Myers will reduce the price of its HIV medication called Riataz from $1449 to $217. Wow. Boringa will reduce the price of its type 2 diabetes medication called
Starting point is 00:17:14 Gentaduto from $525 to $55. How the hell can they do that? Obviously they have a lot of margin in there. Genente, Roche will reduce the price of its flu medication, Zofluza, from 168 down to 50. Ready for this one? Gilead is going to reduce the price of its hepatitis C medication, Ecclusa. Get this. From $24,920 to $2425.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Merck, diabetes medication, Genuvia from 330 to 100. Listen to this one. Novartis, multiple sclerosis medication, Mazent, From $9987 to $1,137. How can they do that? They drop in prices 80 and 90%. Santa Fe, their prescription blood thinner, Plavix. I've heard of Plavix.
Starting point is 00:18:35 From $756 to $16. What? you know what I'm going to spend some time on how are they able to do that and not lose their arses anyway when this was announced I was looking to see if the drug stocks were going to get whacked they weren't you know what got hit the managed care stocks because it came out later that the president said oh we're going to be talking to the managed care stocks because it came out later that the president said, are we going to be talking to the managed care companies about what they are charging? So I think this is all fantastic news.
Starting point is 00:19:31 That's amazing. Standing ovation to the president, for the president on this. Standing ovation, as much as I complain about him. And let me tell you why. Do you know how many stories I read of people that cannot afford medication? Zillions of stories. You know many stories I read of people in debt because of medication? A bazillion stories.
Starting point is 00:20:15 Now, I don't know how this plays out. I'm just reporting to you the news. Simple as that. Glaxo has already comes out and saying confirming the agreement to lower prices and expand access to their respiratory medicines for millions of Americans. Terrific. And by the way, it'll go through a website called Trump RX. It'll not be owned by Trump.
Starting point is 00:20:50 This is purely government. and you have to buy these drugs at these discounted prices at the site. All right. Terrific. We'll keep on this. This is, I think, magnificent news. If anybody disagrees, I'd like to hear from you. So we had a little bit of, this is not good, to a little bit of, this is fantastic.
Starting point is 00:21:26 It's fantastic. Now, if the president ever got the hospitals in line, then we're talking. Remember what I told you? I was in a hospital for eight hours. They charged me $26,000. $5,000 for outpatient, even though I wasn't an outpatient. $6,000 for the emergency room, even though I was in there for like eight minutes. And when I complained to whatever they're called over there,
Starting point is 00:21:51 they changed the $5,000 outpatient to observation. What? And of course, when it goes to insurance and all that, you know what the 26,000 turned into? Three. But I still complained. I still remember when my wife was in the hospital many, many years ago in Boker-a-ton. They had the nerd when we got the bill to show Tylenol 26 bucks. And you know what their reasoning was?
Starting point is 00:22:23 It's called cost-sharing. That was the answer. You think maybe the hospitals will come into this century on their billing? You've got to see this bill I got. It was like a comedy act. And I think the people at the hospital treat the patients like their asses. They were talking down to me when I called in. Finally, I said, I'm pretty sure I said,
Starting point is 00:22:59 said something about a national radio show. And the conversation went a little bit better after that. Hey, up next, we'll segue to the markets and the weekend and all that crap. I'm Gary. This is the one that only investors edge. Guys, it's no use putting it off. The best time for an underwear refresh is now. Tommy John underwear is designed for a perfect fit that stays put all day. Their zero-chafe thanks to four times more stretch than competing brands. and their innovative horizontal quick draw fly is a game changer.

Even better, Spreaker helps you monetize your show with ads, meaning your podcast might someday pay for, well, more my... microphones. Start your show today at spreeker.com. Spreaker, because if you're going to talk to yourself for an hour, you might as well publish it. You're listening to America is talking. Investors Edge. He's got to be pleased with that. The crowd is just on his feet here. He's a Cinderella boy. With Gary Colbomb. It comes highly recommended. You're going to feel better if you talk to him. And welcome once again to Investors Edge. So when I was on the conversation with the
Starting point is 00:25:52 hospital, I said, you know, I'm going to get on my national radio show. Go search my name. I'm going to go on my national radio show. And by the way, it goes worldwide. And I'm going to read to them this bill. And what I, you don't usually name names, but maybe I'll just mention the hospital company, which I never did. But boy, did the woman on the phone? Did she change her attitude like in a nanosecond? And then she started talking. What is this 5,000 outpatient? I wasn't an outpatient. Well, let me look at that, sir.
Starting point is 00:26:33 What is 6,000 for emergency room? I was in the lobby, and then I went through this whole thing. And instead of knocking it down from 26, they changed the language. Observation. They just made it up. They made it up. Maybe one day they'll get it. But you know what?
Starting point is 00:27:03 You know when they'll get it? When we finally get pissed off. But they're such a monopoly. Do you know how big here in central Florida the hospitals are now? They're buying up all the small practitioners. They're huge. And you know what they're all doing? Building.
Starting point is 00:27:23 You got these hospitals that are building separate surgery centers, separate emergency rooms, separate, they're gargantial. Anyway, business, right? So let me start as we segue to the markets. Are you ready? The NASDAQ this week was up 0.48%, not even a half percent.
Starting point is 00:27:54 The NASDAQ 100 was up 0.59%. You'll get my point in a second. The Dow for the week was down 0.67%, 323 points. The S&P was up one-tenth of 1% a measly seven points. The Russell 2000 was down almost a percent this week. The mid-cap 400 down 1.5% this week. The Sox, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, was down, Excuse me, up a measly half percent.
Starting point is 00:28:44 What, you don't think anything happened? Do you know, on Wednesday, let's backtrack. Do you remember the Nvidia Reversal Day? That nightmarish day? Then that was on November 20th. Well, the market did something that day that had me coming on here and say, you know, we don't know what's next because we have seen some wild action in the markets
Starting point is 00:29:17 this whole year between the Liberation Day crap and coming out of the Liberation Day 2,000 point moves in 8 minutes. Do you remember that? The Dow moved 2,000 points in 8 minutes. But in normal circumstances, what we saw that day on November 20th normally indicated to me,
Starting point is 00:29:46 oh, we're topping out and we're going to go through some heck. Well, the next day we gap down, finish good, and just ramp back up to the old highs. That's all. Did something that I consider to be an outlier. The market had a real chance to follow through to the downside. Off of that, I digress. We rally up and then recently just got smoked.
Starting point is 00:30:20 The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index goes from 7419 down to 6695 closed just this Wednesday. 10%? Five days? And as I'm doing my scans, holy crap. the artificial intelligence stocks is getting bloodied up more and more technology stocks breaking down and how do we define that
Starting point is 00:30:56 breaking the 50 day moving average and not just breaking it but going deep deep deep into their bearish phase and the close of Wednesday they closed it bad often really bad days they reverse intraday indicating a washout.
Starting point is 00:31:18 They closed it bad. Oh, what did they do yesterday? They got the market up big. Out of nowhere. Like nothing happened. Like nothing happened. In fact, the semiconductor index closed the day before it's 6695. They opened it at 6950 off a micron.
Starting point is 00:31:48 and the NASDAQ, which was giving it up, closed the 22692, opened the 23048. Last eye look was like 350 points off of a big, ugly looking drop. And what did they do today? It didn't look like much, but they gapped it up and they ramped it for the first 10 minutes. The rest of the day spent marking time. Guess what was strong again? The semiconductors. The artificial intelligence types.
Starting point is 00:32:43 And to be clear, there's still plenty that are toast broken down. But to be clear, they really ramped up our favorite names. You had 20% moves down Wednesday, up Thursday. up Friday. It's amazing to watch. And we try not to think to Sandisk went from 240 to 2002 days to 240 in two days. That's one. For example, L-I-T-E, the strongest name, went from 375 to 3-10 to 3-10 to 3-10 to 3-1.
Starting point is 00:33:38 371 in five days. By the way, they all finished up today. Envidia got defended yesterday, had a good 4% day today. Still in the middle of a range going back all the way to July. But certainly did not hurt today off of all the news coming out of the White House, which we absolutely loathe. But we have three more years of it. And let's hope they get it right.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Because their first intervention was Liberation Day that was crashing the market and was going to crumble the economy. But that weekend, after Liberation Day, all hell broke loose in the White House and to their credit backed away from Liberation Day. So a lot of jello moving on the plate this week, ladies and gentlemen, it's going on in the aftermarket with Rocket Lab. Yeah, we'll pick you. And expect more, not less. But I digress again to say, I love the drug news.
Starting point is 00:35:08 I think that's fantastic. I do. I have a question how somebody can lower the price 90% and make money. That's a very good question that I'm going to search and look up. That is a very good question, by the way. How can you lower price of a drug and make money off of that? Lowering at 90%. Are you telling us you had a thousand percent markup?
Starting point is 00:35:40 That's what it would be, right? Tenfold? We're going to find out. But this is good news. We're happy about it. Up next, into next week. This is the one only investors. edge.
Starting point is 00:36:24 Guys, it's no use putting it off. The best time for an underwear refresh is now. Tommy John underwear is designed for a perfect fit that stays put all day. Spreaker, because if you're going to talk to yourself for an hour, you might as well publish it.
Starting point is 00:38:15 You're listening to. What are we waiting for? Well, what are you waiting for? One, two, ready, go. Action! In the Hester's Edge with Gary Kulp. Well, the schmuck who murdered the students at Brown University and another teacher, they found him the little cowardly wimp in a storage unit.
Starting point is 00:39:02 He killed himself. I hope it was painful. Did you see the picture of the students that he murdered for no reason at all? See the picture? Lovely looking young lady. Bright young man. Murdered for no reason. I hope that man is in freaking hell.
Starting point is 00:39:30 You know what we haven't talked about a lot? Maybe we'll do that after the holidays. We are finding out in Minnesota the massive fraud. And sorry, but we're just reporting the news, mostly Somalian people that committed massive billions of fraud and you know what we're finding out now they would speak to their friends in other states
Starting point is 00:39:59 and they would move to the states and add to the fraud and I'm always interested in people that commit fraud like that why is that they all buy the same stuff Louis Vuitton that's from Hangover by the way Louis Vuitton I'm sorry You're going to pay $5,000 for a pocketbook?
Starting point is 00:40:25 Why? Something called a Birkin And they all go to the Maldives Nah, we're not going to go to Hawaii That's too cheap We're going to fly all the way over there Anyway, they're caught, they're indicted Hopefully they go to jail
Starting point is 00:40:48 and I hate the fact that some people are taking advantage, well, the president is stopping all immigration from countries involved. I hate that. You do not paint the same brush on everybody because of the bad of a few, but every African country and whatever the president is shutting them down. Fabulous. not happy about that in other news coffee prices lowest than four months
Starting point is 00:41:29 of course they are the president got rid of the tariff do you think Starbucks is going to lower their prices doubt it doubt it and I already told you about the coffee prices at the supermarket you think they're going to lower their prices doubt it
Starting point is 00:41:50 platinum above 2,000 for the first time since 08. By the way, in case you don't know, I know the president's saying there's no inflation, that's horse crap. Last night said there's no inflation. This morning, he said it.
Starting point is 00:42:12 That's horse crap. There's inflation and there's very high prices. And platinum is soaring. Just letting you know. Other commodities soaring. and it will be in the pricing going forward. The good news is the most important that is oil prices not soaring.
Starting point is 00:42:50 Natural gas is dropping too. That's great news. But prices are still high. Shrinkflation sucks. And inflation's still going up. The president said there's no inflation. I'd wish somebody get a hold of him. Stop!
Starting point is 00:43:19 In other news. Ladies and gentlemen, Reese's Pieces, my fantasy football team, picked Puka Nukuwa, as one of my wide receivers, had 27 points last night, over 200 yards, two touchdowns. And if I win this week,
Starting point is 00:43:41 I am the champion of the couch potato the football league for the I haven't been champion in a very long time. I made one big mistake last night. I played the Seattle defense, but I've played them most of the year and they've done so right by me. I had to play them again. They got me zero points. I knew that would be trouble because the Rams are a great offense and I was right about it. But the good news is defenses don't get you much in my league anyhow, unless there was one where they had two touchdowns on defense. We'll let you know what happens on Monday. Next week, Wednesday's a half day. Thursday is Christmas. The president called for a federal holiday on
Starting point is 00:44:29 Friday. I was hoping the exchanges would say, okay, we'll go with it and not be open. No, they gave the president the middle finger and we'll still be open next Friday. If the 10-year goes above that, we'll be talking.

The latest to report bad numbers was KB Holmes down 8.5% today. Sales down 15%, earnings down 24%. I think Hovenanian recently just crumbled on a 17% drop in sales. And I do believe Lenar.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Earnings came out a few days ago. Matter of fact, this week, down 50%. revenue down, excuse me, earnings down 50, revenue down six. We continue to avoid the home builders. And man, Home Depot stock, acting like the south end of a northbound jackass. And that's the story. You all have a great weekend. If you're traveling, travel safe.
