Straight talk about you and your money.
Now from the BizTalk Studios, here is Gary Cultbaum.
And welcome once again to Investors Edge.
I'm Gary Coltbaum, your host.
A thanks for being with us today.
Glad you here, ladies and gentlemen.
Happy that you are listening.
It is Thursday, July 10th, 2025.
Hope you having a good day.
I am.
Lots to cover.
Serious talk on everything that affects you.
We will do the markets, the economy, your job, your industry.
Tariffs, debt, deficit, scams and shams got one to talk about today.
And anything else that comes to mind that I think matters to you.
Simplistic is that.
But ladies and gentlemen, if you do not get this radio show in your city, we'll post it at garyk.com.
We'll also post it on X feed.
used to be Twitter.
We also post it on the podcast apps.
And if you'd like to email me,
all you've got to do is be nice.
That's all we ask.
I had an email from somebody today.
People are weird.
And not in general, but some.
I got an email from somebody today to tell me,
I don't even know what word he used,
but at the bottom of the bare market
it in 08, I was bearish. This is what somebody comes up with to email me and say to me,
I don't know what I'm doing. It's amazing some people. In fact, in March of 2009, the same day
O'Neill and IBD called a confirming follow-through day, let's see what happens. So did we. And
it did turn out to be the low. Remember, we don't call bottoms. We let you know when the market
potentially is showing the bottom. We look at characteristics of markets. And the main characteristic
of bare markets, bare phases ending is what is known as a follow-through day. Yes, it is one day.
It's where you hit a low in the market
Then after four days later
You get this big volume up day
And of course you're gonna need leadership
And all that crap
And right in March we got on this radio show
And said just letting you know
Today we had a follow through day
A confirming follow through day
That does not mean it works
As we have stated
When you get one
You hope it works
but not everyone has worked.
And typically the rule is if you get serious selling within a few days of one,
it's usually a fake out.
And there have been plenty of those days that have not worked.
That one did.
Anyway, Mr. Dufus, who decided to email me about something 16 years ago,
find something better.
That's all I can say.
But, Mia Culpah, I believe it was,
yesterday I said on this show that nobody has been fired in the weather business, the
hurricane business, the NOAA business, when in fact, back in February, hundreds of weather
forecasters and other, I'm reading from here, and I confirmed, and other federal national
oceanic and atmospheric administration employees were on probationary status. I guess that moves
from maybe internship to whatever. They were fired. Just letting you know, I was wrong.
But what I was right about is that in this Texas tragedy, they were full staffed.
They're doing a post-mortem now about what happened, who's right or who's wrong or whatever.
we'll find out more and we'll report it to you all I can tell you is
I think they found some more bodies today there's still plenty of people
missing wow what a freaking tragedy I think what will probably come by the way
thank you Chris for putting me you know I was wrong on that people were fired by the
doge I think what we're going to find out is that
they were not vociferous enough or timely enough on getting them out of there.
Anyway, we move on and we segue.
Last Tuesday, I was in London and it was 9 p.m.
And I was pretty much half asleep.
that day in the morning I walked about 10, 11 miles through London, sat down in front of my four screens in my hotel room where the maid was laughing at me.
She asked me what I was doing, and I said, I'm lifting off rocket ships, and she laughed.
That day, we did come on radio, and this is what we basically said to you.
And, you know, one day I'm going to start playing things back for you, but I'm pretty good at.
We told you that we thought the broad market turned the corner, turned up, came out of the coma.
We told you housing, housing related, transports, economically sensitive stuff, the industrial type.
the construction types.
And basically the thought process was pretty simple.
It's a liftoff.
Doesn't mean it has to work.
But to our eyes, it was a turning of the corner.
As you know, we pride ourselves on looking at a photo album for familiar faces.
And one of those familiar faces is how things.
put in bottoming process after a bear market and then the turning up.
One of the great technical alonists of all time Stan Weinstein calls it moving from stage
four into stage one and then potentially at the stage two.
Go get his book, how to make, excuse me, the secrets for profiting in bull and bear markets
by Stan Weinstein.
You can get it on Amazon.
It was written a long time ago, so some of it's dated.
like the GM indicator, but it teaches you stage analysis.
O'Neill's different.
He's into leading stocks and leading groups and breaking out.
Anyway, we thought that all these areas were going through one, getting to two,
and that is the bottoming and advancing stage coming out of a bare market.
That was last Tuesday.
For a few days backing and filling, some things kept going up, some things pulled back.
But then yesterday we came on the show and told you, man, we got a nice little confirmation
today of what happened last Tuesday.
But we're going to stay on it on a daily basis because you just don't know how long
something's going to last or how far something's going to go.
well we're just letting you know another good day for those areas
transports are up 413 points today i think at one time today the transports are up like
550 let's see 16 480 160 how about 570 points so finally a little bit of pull back towards the end of the day
The home builders, another good day.
They were up 2%, finished up 1%.
Economic sensitive names.
Caterpillar, up 6, United Rentals, up 15.
Those are the two we always talk about.
Financials, very good day.
Commodity types, very good day.
Thank you, President, for a 50% tariff on copper.
whatever. Retail, pretty good day. Auto dealers, pretty good day. Construction types, pretty good day.
So we're just let travel, pretty good day. So we're just letting you know the last Tuesday, that day that we thought they woke out of their coma.
It continues.
And again, to what extent we don't know, but you know how we also know it continues?
Advanced declines on the New York 2833 up, 1295 down.
We'll just start with that.
We'll just start with that.
Up next.
More of the markets.
Thanks for being here.
I'm Gary.

pharmacists to answer the health questions you didn't even know you could ask at the pharmacy counter.
In this episode, we are diving into gut health with CVS pharmacist Victoria Motola, who explains
why so many of us live with stomach issues we should not accept as normal.
A lot of what I see is just like chronic bloating, chronic stomach aches. Like I get to
stomach ache every time that I eat and it just becomes like a lifestyle where oh yeah you know I just
I have a stomachache or I'm constantly feeling like gassy and all of those things are not something
that generally if you have a healthy gut you should be living with so that's when we deep dive we deep dive
into your medication we deep dive into your OTC medication and then at that point we can probably
identify something that we can change here the full conversation plus some fascinating facts about how
gut health affects so much more than just your stomach on Beyond the Script, a podcast from
CVS Pharmacy and IHeart Radio. Listen now wherever you get your podcasts.

plane sales working. You're listening to. Hey, this promises to be fun. Investors Edge. The last bastion
of quality programming. With Gary Coltbaum. It doesn't get better than this. And welcome once again to
Investors Edge. Now, what would drive the broad markets? I don't care. I just react to what I see.
By the way, airlines, Monster Day today, United Airlines up $11.5.91 and $71, $1,7.00, up $6 to $56.78.
What is this, about 12 percent? Southwest Airlines, up 281 to 3735.
Do you remember Southwest Airlines somebody bought like $30 million worth of stock?
I believe around, I got to remember.
what price the guy paid.
But like 30 million bucks.
And I'm looking right now so I can,
yeah, they paid 30, 31 bucks.
Director, some guy named Rakesh Gangrel,
bought crap loads from September, October,
and then you had a bunch of directors buy
in January already into 80s.
April, from 27 to 31, Southwest Airlines is now trading, if I can find it, at 37 and change.
So even the airlines, and by the way, Delta made an announcement that their regular parts of the airplane, not the first class, were down 5%.
yet the stock soared.
What does that tell you?
Remember, it's not the news, it's how the markets react to the news.
By the way, I announced to you the Southwest Airlines big buying, that one guy I did not see, and I'm kind of P-Oed.
A bunch of others bought the crap out of it.
Wow.
I miss that.
Dummy me.
Anyway, Southwest Airline stock broke out six-month trading range today on double the average volume.
And in case you don't know, Southwest Airlines is retooling their whole thing.
By the way, I don't own these shares.
I may own them soon.
They're retooling.
They're going to be charging for bags, also for seats, you know, before you had that little cattle call, ABCD or whatever that.
I always would say to them people that work,
are you ever going to change that crap?
Anyway, they are and I guess the market likes it.
So the airlines, and if you go look at the JETS, JETs, JETs, Jets, Jets,
that's the ETF of the airlines.
That broke above some range and is testing the highs of January.
So that's just another area, what we call stuff area,
that had a good day.
If anything changes, we will gladly let you know.
But we are just letting you know the broad market another good day.
Big banks bounced after getting downgraded.
Need to mention that also.
There was some not so good outcomes today.
A lot of the glamour names.
got smacked.
Netflix down 38 bucks?
That's not good.
CrowdStrike down $25.
That's not good.
How about CyberArk?
Down $29.
That's not good.
You ready for this one?
AX-O-N, Axon.
This is that military
law enforcement devices
down $73, 9%.
$9%, it's a higher price name.
That got whacked.
How about Intuit?
Down $20 today.
That broke some support today.
And I can go through others, but oh, service now.
Down $45.
Big breakdown today for that one.
And other software security companies just got smacked to smithereens.
Checkpoint software, down $10.
bucks Palo Alto networks down 14 bucks a team that's software related down 21 dollars to 200 uh I saw a few
others auto desks but they're buying somebody down 21 dollars today how about um there were
few I know there was a couple others I had on my mind well I think I made my point just a very
rough day for, oh, Mercado Libre, down $75, was down $110 at one time today. So there was some
icky outcomes, so we have to keep a close eye on anything we own because you never know what
they're getting next. That said, that money flowed elsewhere. And that money flowed elsewhere. And
Those areas I mentioned, you should be checking them out.
We're not going to tell you to buy, sell, short, cover.
We're just going to let you know what we see, what we think, and that is all.
Interesting enough, what's our big avoid right now?
It's those managed care stocks.
They were all down today in an up-192 Dow Day.
What else did we tell you as a void?
How about the payroll companies?
ADP and paychecks were down again.
I think you can add another little one small.
How about Quest Diagnostics and Lab Corps?
You give them your blood.
Those are topping out.
Just letting you know, I don't know if it's that healthcare thing.
Just letting you know they're topping out.
We already discussed insurance is in trouble and would avoid that.
but the broad market pretty damn good
oh Argentina we told you recently
it topped out that was weeks ago
Argentina topped out big time
as a group
but no biggie
I don't have much to complain about
except if you own some of these that got stung today
and of course you get to decide
but overall I thought
you know the broad market
Bitcoin up again today after being down Bitcoin is at a new all-time high today.
Boy, I'm getting asked a lot about it.
And all I can just say, it's at an all-time high today, broke out to all-time high.
That's all.
You get to decide.
Ethereum is much weaker, and we've been saying that all along.
And do not forget, there's over 30,000 coins.
they try to foist upon you that are at zero.
We think Bitcoin stays where it is because you got that guy at micro strategy,
borrowing all kinds of bucks and issuing all kinds of stock to keep buying and buying.
And now you have the administration all over the Bitcoin crypto crap and it be working.
That one.
We'll see where it goes.
Up next, scams and shams.
and whatever else.
I'm Gary. This is the one only investor's edge.

Investors Edge.
He's got to be pleased with that.
The crowd is just on his feet here.
He's a Cinderella boy.
With Gary Colbomb.
It comes highly recommended. You're going to feel better if you talk to him.
And welcome once again to Investors Edge.
Hey, yo.
Okay.
So every now and then, we read about another scam, another sham, another sham, and we feel
it's incumbent upon us to just tell you about it and make sure it doesn't happen to you.
And I know a lot of you say, oh, that's so stupid.
And there's a lot of people that fall for things or just don't know about things.
So this one's a weird one.
This one's a weird one because of the reaction.
Minnesota Vikings outside linebacker Dallas Turner was allegedly a victim of a bank fraud scheme.
that resulted in a theft of 240,000.
Quote, from a police sergeant,
through our investigation, several suspects have been identified,
and we are working toward criminal charges to hold them accountable.
Only $2,500 of the stolen funds have been recovered,
and the investigation remains active.
Okay, let's get to the weird part.
per the affidavit, someone impersonating a banker at J.P. Morgan Chase called Dallas Turner
up on February 19th and told him that someone was attempting to impersonate him at a Chase bank branch in Arizona
and presented two copies of ID to execute a wire transfer. The call. The call. The call. The call. The call,
instructed Turner, get this, to transfer money to two separate businesses to prevent the attempted
theft. So Turner then, get this, went to two Chase Bank branches to transfer $120,000 each to two
separate LLCs that he never heard of. What is wrong with this picture? So somebody calls him
from Chase and tells him that somebody's trying to impersonate him.
So he's told to transfer the money before it's taken to two LLCs mentioned to him by the person on the phone.
But he went to the bank and did it, which begs the question, if this is true,
This gentleman, Dallas Turner, is a doofus.
You're at the bank.
You see you got the $240,000 still there.
Hey, Mr. Bank Manager, and that's the end of it.
The bank manager would have said, it's BS.
It's not true.
And you're good.
And if you're worried, here, let's transfer it into another account or put in another bank.
No, he sent it to these two LLCs, and that was it.
So very weird.
So ladies and gentlemen, a couple of things.
Number one, the IRS is never going to call you to send any money.
Number two, if somebody calls you and tells you one the mega millions, they're lying.
Got that?
Number three, if you meet somebody at temple and church and they tell you they're buying cigarettes and main and selling them in California and they're making 200% of their money and please give me 50 grand because I'm going to make you all kinds of money, there's nobody that nice.
No, really.
I have to tell you, if I had something like that, I'm not telling you about it.
I'm keeping it to myself.
I'm not that nice.
So that's a scam.
Anybody tells you they're diverting food from one state to a.
It's a scam.
You got that?
It's pretty simple.
And the higher the number they tell you, the quicker you run, and the farther you run.
Because just think of human nature.
Just think of it.
It's human nature.
Why would anybody be so nice to you that doesn't know you?
They're going to make you 100% on your money.
Just hand them the 50 grand.
So be careful.
People at your bank, be careful.
Anybody who wants to get into your computer by calling you?
No.
No.
Because they're going to take over your computer and find your passwords.
You got that?
Give nothing out to nobody.
To nobody.
It's a pretty simple rule.
Pretty simple.
my favorite one of all time
is somebody called me
and told me I won mega millions
but send me
5,000 bucks
via Western Union to somebody in Boker
Atone
and they're going to send me my millions
and I just said
listen I got a better idea
I will give you
a hundred grand
send it to me
oh we can't do it
and the guy
definitely sounded Jamaican
it was probably from Jamaica
or some other country
just be smart.
Unfortunately, in this great world of ours,
they're a bunch of bad scumbags out there.
And you know what they'll do to you?
They'll take your last time.
I met a woman years ago in New York City,
wanted to invest with me.
But she had a problem.
She gave 600,000 bucks to people she never met
that lived in terms.
about how they were going to do this, that, and the other thing.
And then when she asked for her money back, you know what they said?
They're going to call the IRS on her and have her arrested for doing what she was doing.
And she was in her 70, so she scared crappless.
And that was the end of that.
She never spoke to them again.
And I just asked her simple, what were you expecting to happen?
How are you given $600,000 to people you have never met and don't know in another country?
And you know what they did?
They started at 50 and then 75 and then 100, then 150.
And they kept going and going and going and they would have taken every freaking dime of hers until she finally questioned it.
And that's when they threatened her.
So don't fall for that crap.
You got that?
You want to be scammed?
play the lottery.
That's one of the great government
scams of all time. At least
you know how much you're going to lose
and maybe
250 million to 1
you'll win one day.
Not. And that is all on the
scams and shams. And again, I don't
understand. The guy, it says he walked
into the bank and still
did the transfer to these
two obscure LLCs
instead of speaking to a bank manager.
I could have saved this guy 200,
some odd thousand bucks. Too bad you didn't know me. Anyway, that's my scams and shams of today.
And by the way, I read a lot of those. It's amazing. And some very smart people, some very smart people get caught up in this crap.
Segway in back. And by the way, we're not going to do any tariffs today, any government.
any of all that crap because it's pretty much nauseating at this point in time what we do care
about if you can help out what's going on in Texas I believe there's a way of giving
make sure you give to the right place because I got to tell you there's an absolute catastrophe
in southern Texas I used to have an office in new Braunfels many years ago
Visit it maybe three or four times.
It's beautiful down there.
I can only, man, I don't know if you saw some of the video.
Respect the weather.
Ladies and gentlemen, I don't respect the climate change BSers.
We've had floods since the beginning of time.
They're trying to tell us it's all climate change.
Yeah, right.
What happened to global cooling?
Everybody's out for your bucks, ladies and gentlemen.
Everybody's out for your bucks.
I'm still waiting for some of them to get arrested
for what they did at the end of the four years of the Biden administration.
Stacey Abrams.
We move on.
Up next,
Hong Kong.
Great place to visit.
Be careful of the stocks.
That's up next on Investors Edge.

Investors Edge with Gary Culper.
Welcome once again to Investor's Edge.
Silver.
Go look at SLV.
It broke out of range about four weeks ago.
And is now sat for about four weeks.
Looks like it's about to break out again.
Just letting you know.
You can go look at SLV.
It corresponds to the price of silver.
Just letting you know.
By the way, the Dow is up 192.
American Express up eight, Goldman Sachs up 12.
We mentioned those bounced.
J.P. Morgan up five, bounce.
McDonald's up five.
On the downside, IBM, down three.
Salesforce.com, very weak software down seven.
And United Health can't find a friend.
That was down three in change.
And by the way, we're at 44-6 on the Dow,
and United Health is still down 2,000 Dow points since April.
Just letting you know.
And yeah, there's still, oh, by the way, like a Walmart's breaking down here.
Costco came out with good numbers and sold off.
I think that's the 60 times earnings thing.
You've got to be careful.
Which takes us to Hong Kong.
I've been to Hong Kong three times.
I love it there.
Fabulous place to visit.
I love it there.
And I've only been to China once.
I loved it.
I still believe that the Great Wall of China was built by aliens.
I don't know how anybody could have built that.
Any human being.
How far it goes through the mountains up and down and all around.
Saw the terracotta warriors, which were amazing.
Just fabulous place.
But them stocks.
And we're just talking about some Hong Kong stocks.
So I don't know what's going on, but they've been some very speculative China slash Hong Kong based stocks.
And I'm doing a little repetition here just to make sure you are being on the careful side.
because some of them have made unbelievable moves and just croaked.
I mentioned, I don't know if it was yesterday, day before, PHH, $4 IPO.
Company really has no sales, rallied up to 16, sat between 11 and 16 for a few weeks,
and rallied up in three weeks up to 41 bucks.
Yesterday, it went from $41.
and closed the $2.82.
Two days ago.
Yesterday, it went from $282 down to a buck six.
I don't see any news.
All I know is it crashed.
And it stopped trading.
It stopped trading at $38.5.
And opened up at $6.75.
We just want you to be careful of these things.
Because also, and we don't make this crap up.
SKBL, a $4 IPO.
They actually look like they got revenues.
Three days ago went from $12.45 to $1.44.
Same day.
We mentioned to you what happened a few years ago.
And the reason why I remember it so well is because I was in the south of space.
with the fishmen's hanging out we played valderrama great golf course one of the top
ten in the world and it was so freaking hot and we walked the whole joint and I played the
words golf day I had in years but it was beautiful there Sevilla other places
one the started with an M I forgot that Marbella anyway symbol HKD
HKD
Hong Kong stock
Don't ask me why
But it went for
And I'm not making this up
And I don't know what drives the stuff
But it was a $7.75
Scent IPO
And in days it went from
$7 and it opened up at 19
Excuse me opened at 13 went to 19
then one day went to 180, the next day it went to 400, the next day it went to 760, the next day it hit a high at 2555.
Imagine that, $7 IPO went to $2555, close that day at $1679.
Three days later was back to $194.
Guess what the stocks aren't now?
$1.82.
Guess how much revenues they have?
I don't know.
because when I see the numbers at the bottom and they all the same every quarter, it's kind of weirds me out.
So I don't know what's going on with Hong Kong names.
And it's not all of them, of course, but there's a lot of them.
Just don't be the last one in.
And you know what the problem with them?
While they're moving higher, people get caught up.
I can imagine so.
So I just wanted to bring that up one more time.
because I'm looking at these two that just happened this week and I'm like, holy crap.
And then there are some that are not Hong Kong names like BMNR BitMine.
Like eight days ago was four bucks.
Four days later hit 160, closed at 135.
Four days later, it's back to 46.
Make that 44.
And I gather, you know our line.
They all go back to where they came from if nothing changes.
So again, we don't know what drives these things.
Maybe there's low flow.
I don't know what the system is, how something can go from three up to 155.
Somebody had to pay that number.
Just remember, if a price goes to a number, somebody bought it there.
Just be careful.
And the reason is I'm finding a bunch of them.
We'll stay on top of it.
Anyway, good broad market day.
Tomorrow's Friday.
I need the weekend.
You all have a great evening.
Drive carefully when you get home to like we do.
Quite simple.
Make sure you hug your family.
Make sure you hug your children.
They will feel better.
You'll feel better.
I promise they will, be well.
Stay in good shape, ladies and gentlemen.
Be healthy.
Good night.
