Starting point is 00:00:45 A thanks for being with us today. Glad you here, ladies and gentlemen. Happy that you are listening. It is March 2, 2006. It's Monday. Hope you're having a good day. Of course, quite the last couple of days. this country has had, and we are going to discuss it.
Starting point is 00:01:10 As you know, we explain things in a way. That should be explained in a certain way. Why? No agenda, no ulterior motive, no bias, and given you the straight. because from all sides, you're not getting the straight. So, first off, if you do not get this radio show in your city, we'll post at garyk.com. We'll also post on our X feed. If you don't follow us, and X you should.
Starting point is 00:01:47 We'll also post it on the Biz TV YouTube channel. If you'd like to email me, just be nice. And very simple, this is serious talk on everything that affects you, whether it be the markets because of all this. The economy, because of all this, your job or your industry, because of all this, we'll cover it all. So a few things. And we're just telling you how we look at things. As you know, we have a soft spot in our heart for the BS that is spewed from all the people in D.C. throughout the years
Starting point is 00:02:34 and it's gotten worse and worse. And they just really don't want to tell you the truth. And when they get caught, they just back up, back away, all that crap. So a few things you need to know. Number one.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Well, let me flip a coin. I'm going to flip a coin and see which I'm going to start with. Let's see. heads will be the right, tails the left. It is tails. Let's start with the left. They're whining and complaining. Whining and complaining. How dare he do this? He's a Hitler. He is a dictator. He did not have any reason to do this. We were not in any way, shape, or form. in the crosshairs.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Wah, wah, the left. The pundits are going on TV and yapping away. What you need to know is they never said a freaking word
Starting point is 00:03:47 when Barack Obama was droning the hell out of the whole world. Did you know that? Because if you don't, it's because it wasn't reported. Barack Obama loved killing people. Did you know that? He loved it. Go look it up. Same thing with the deportations.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Barack Obama was the king of deportations. And you know who he used for the deportations? Ice. Did you ever see anybody protesting ICE back then? Did you hear the media? So what you need to know is they're full of crap. They're full of crap on their hypocrisy. You see, if they weren't such lying sacks, you could actually say, well, the president should have let Congress know that you should get the checks and balances. The president is coming out and saying, well, we're allowed to do this because there's a certain act that if you're under duress, you can do. You can do this, and you have 60 days. But the Pentagon came out and said, we were not in any harm's way. Their own Pentagon.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Oh, so, we're being lied to by the right. They're lying. Bear with me. The pundits on the right. Screw them all. For over a decade with this president, they made fun of, put down, blasted the neocons, the interventionists, the Cheney's and the Bush. What does Trump do? Oh, Venezuela. Oh, threatened Greenland with military. And now this.
Starting point is 00:05:56 So, up yours to them. I don't want to hear from that anymore. I don't trust them. And what you need to know is, if this was a Democratic president doing this, the righty pundits would be crapping in their pants and cursing them out. Since it's a Republican president, the Democrats are cursing them out. And of course, if it was a Democratic president, the Democrats would kiss his butt. So what you need to know is all these people that have taken the 38 trillion of debt, they're all a bunch of lying sacks of crap on all this. but I look at it one way
Starting point is 00:06:39 and only one way at this point as I have said to you unfortunately we're just spectators we have no control we have no control that the president takes a million dollars in and pardons a family member corruption we have no control
Starting point is 00:06:59 that Biden's family corruption of 20 some on million bucks we have no control we have no control that this president massive tax hikes through tariffs and changes up and down the wazoo we had no control that Biden was using our tax dollars to relieve loans
Starting point is 00:07:23 in order to garner votes no control we had no control when Biden opened the doors let anybody and everybody in with hardly any vetting. Millions of people come in. We had no control. And guess what?
Starting point is 00:07:44 We have no control of this. Because unfortunately, the whole government system is now out of control, doing whatever they want to do without any checks and balances whatsoever. And maybe one day we'll be going back to that. It ain't happening now. So I look at things one way.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Hope. that whatever they decide to do, whatever they decide to do, works out and works out very well. Unfortunately, it's not working out great. I'm pretty sure they miscalculated Iran doing what they're doing. I mean, I stayed at the verge in Dubai,
Starting point is 00:08:35 and it was on fire yesterday. I stayed at the Fairmont in Dubai. They hit the two places I was. was that? That was on fire. But big miscalculation by Iran. You know what they just did? They put the Middle East on the side of Israel even more. And by the way, the Middle East is on the side of Israel. They won't say it. Oh, but they are. They want peace. They don't want terror.
Starting point is 00:09:07 Simple as that. And Iran running the joint is a bunch of terrorists. That's all. So with all the yapping and all the BS, I'm in the camp that the president should have done the right thing and did checks and balances. I'm not privy enough on whether they should have done this or not, but they found a time and they decided to. I just now sit back regardless of what I think and hope it all works out. Four people already dead, Americans, servicemen. Few people in Israel dead. I hate it.
Starting point is 00:09:50 I hate seeing it. But this is the cost sometimes. You know what? I even hate, I take that back. It shouldn't be a cost. I hope it works out. As you know, I have a love-hate relationship with Trump. I hope whatever decisions he makes works out.
Starting point is 00:10:15 I hope this gets done quickly. I hope that the Iranian people who are celebrating the taking out of this prick that was running the place for how many years, I hope they get their freedom that they want. That is my hope. What else can you do? Why didn't complain? We're just spectators now, unfortunately. You think we have a voice? You think it's we the people?
Starting point is 00:10:57 You all agree, right? Anyway, that's my whole take on it. We'll put a bow tie on it next. I have a few other things to say. And then we'll hit the markets and the outcome of the markets on anything that happens going forward. This is the one only Investor's Edge.

Lately, car buying has become a pretty dull experience. but on eBay, behind every car in part is a story waiting to be shared.
Starting point is 00:12:41 There was a guy who bought a 2020 Porsche Cayman GT4 on eBay. It was well-loved. There are plenty of Cayman's in great condition on eBay, but this one needed some work. That's just the start of the story. So after this guy gets a great deal on his dream car, he rebuilds the whole thing with all these parts he found on eBay, performance brakes, suspension, body panels, the works, guaranteed to fit.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Next thing you know, this nearly screaming. strapped Kaman was out there on the track as a full-blown race car. You're ready to go daily driver, your next Restamond. Hello, Lodda Salon, hand the parts to finish it. eBay has thousands of cars and is the largest online selection of vehicle parts and accessories. eBay. Things people love. Reese's peanut butter cups. I'm here to judge you for not eating Reese's while you listen to it. Reeses. Ashley, go back to the nature sounds. Nice. Yeah, that's really nice. Starting point is 00:14:58 Boy, do they suck. So, in case you don't know, the New York Times does an op-ed for this scumbag that was running Iran. And you would have thought it was your grandpa they were describing. With his white beard. That's how they started it. So I just want to let you know You're not going to get the straight
Starting point is 00:15:22 I don't know what's wrong with these people The man is All numbers in They just murdered 10,000 30,000 people That were protesting the government All numbers in Amazing New York Times
Starting point is 00:15:44 The BBC I don't know what happened to them The haters of Jews in Israel Unreal. So, careful what you hear. Do your homework. Get some straight
Starting point is 00:16:01 because you're not getting a lot of straight. Let's continue. So, you've been hearing about the straight of whore moves. Now, I think I was the first person about 10 days ago bringing it up on TV on Fox business. One of the first.
Starting point is 00:16:20 What it is, it is, It is a, I believe, 27 miles wide where 20% of all oil comes through. I believe it's also a big number of liquid natural gas. There's all this story that Iran can close the Strait of Hormuz. They cannot. They can make it a tougher point. They can bomb a ship. they can try
Starting point is 00:16:52 they have no legal authority so I don't think that's going to happen to a certain extent oil prices well I got them up about 450 today everybody was expecting a lot more don't blink
Starting point is 00:17:10 they can be up a lot more tomorrow for all we know remember oil prices are an outcome of traders speculators and investors and betting on which way. And obviously we're in this news-driven environment. But I will tell you this. And this is the best way I can put it to you.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Venezuela is sitting on 303 billion barrels. By the way, and a decent chance in the years to come, It's going to take time that with somebody really running the show there, they can start working on that again. Saudi Arabia, 267 billion. Let's pass Iran. Canada, 163. Iraq, 113. 145. UAE 102, Russia, 808.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Then it drops down. Libya 48, United States, 45. And it just keeps dropping down. There's a lot. of oil reserves out there. But the market will decide. Oil stocks, interesting enough, the services were down today. The production was up, and the big oil was up a little bit also.
Starting point is 00:18:43 It's a tough call on which way? Why? The most freaking news-driven environment. I've seen a very long time. There's also fertilizer and some other things. I noticed symbol CF today, which is CF Industries, without its fertilizers. That gaped up today. So we'll be watching.
Starting point is 00:19:17 The longer it goes, not great. Not great. There are, by the way, also, I should have said this at the outset, there's some criminals out there that bet on this polymarket about this happening like two hours before. Unfortunately, it looks like this administration has loose lips. Hopefully somebody gets indicted and kicked in the teeth for taking advantage of this. Just let you know. Now, as far as markets, well, they were. down 500,
Starting point is 00:19:56 down 300, and guess what? The Dow was down 70. NASDAQ was up 80. NASDAQ 100 up 32. Small and midcaps were pretty decent. Huh? How can that be?
Starting point is 00:20:11 Well, let's add defense stocks were strong today. Oils. Commodities. Bouncing the financials, not a lot. But they were
Starting point is 00:20:29 really into today was NVIDIA invested in a couple of these opticals, L-I-T-E up 80, C-O-H-R up 39, a couple other strong. So, NVIDIA moves some needles today, and NVIDIA was up five today after a very rough couple of days. Guess what NVIDIA did today? What do we talk to you about here? Support level, where the stock is in rough shape. We go by the 50-day moving average, which is the stronger one, the 200-day, which is the long-term one, that you better hold. Nvidia almost to the penny today went down to the 200-day moving average on the open and bounced well.
Starting point is 00:21:21 Very important. It's in no way a bull market. You could go back to early August, late July, that's where the stock is trading. with one move to the upside and right back down, we'll call it an eight-month trading range. Held some good support today. That helped. Once the market saw that, did a little better.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Simple as that. Any other outcomes from what's going on out there? I think it's oil defense commodities. Oil defense commodities. Oil defense commodities. war ends tomorrow you're not going to want to own Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin ends tomorrow you're probably going to
Starting point is 00:22:06 see the oil stocks come down will it end tomorrow not so sure you know what did stick out today the Israel ETF was up 6.6% today why would that be what have I told you about Israel
Starting point is 00:22:26 when all said and done their culture they wake up they take care of families they go to work try to improve their lives for themselves and their families you have amazing technological
Starting point is 00:22:47 and medical advancements there and they ignore all the bull crap while fighting wars what have I told you about Israel first time I was there we'll go with that next and we'll continue with the rest of the markets This is the one only investor's edge.
Starting point is 00:23:28 The car buying has become a pretty dull experience, but on eBay, behind every car in part is a story waiting to be shared. There was a guy who bought a 2020 Porsche Cayman GT4 on eBay. It was well loved. There are plenty of Cayman's in great condition on eBay, but this one needed some work. That's just the start of the story. So after this guy gets a great deal on his dream car,
Starting point is 00:23:50 he rebuilds the whole thing with all these parts he found on eBay. Performance brakes, suspension, body panels, the works, guaranteed to fit. Next thing you know, this nearly scrapped Cayman was out there on the track as a full-blown race car. You're ready to go, daily driver, your next Restamon. Hello, Lodda Salon, hand the parts to finish it. eBay has thousands of cars and is the largest online selection of vehicle parts and accessories. eBay. Things people love. Here's a quick podcast for all you true crime fans.
Starting point is 00:24:21 The case of the missing Reese's. It was me at the store with my mouth. Motive? Um, they're reases. What was that going to do? Stop myself. Tune in next time to see if I do it again. Spoiler, I will.
Starting point is 00:24:39 Wow, that had everything. Rees, suspense, reeses. Cashflow crunch? On Deck's small business line of credit. gives your business immediate access to funds up to $200,000 right when you need it. On Deck does not lend in North Dakota. All loans and amount subject to lender approval. We're listening to. America is talking. Investors Edge.
Starting point is 00:25:26 He's got to be pleased with that. The crowd is just on his feet here. He's a Cinderella boy. With Gary Coltbaum. It comes highly recommended. You're going to feel better if you talk to him. So, what I tell you about Israel? First time I was there, I figured out all the media, all the Jew and Israel haters were full of crap.
Starting point is 00:25:54 In 10 days. That they just lied about everything. I already knew that. Number one, apartheid. You go into Old Jerusalem. It's a bunch of businesses inside Old Jerusalem. And guess what I found? Arabs, Muslims, Jews, Christians,
Starting point is 00:26:16 every race, creed, color, denomination, gender, gays, living together, working together. playing together in harmony. In harmony. In harmony. Apartheid my ass. When I was there my first time, I had to go into bomb shelters.
Starting point is 00:26:50 I think it was six times. On the seventh, well, five times. On the sixth, I'm in a restaurant in Tel Aviv. The sirens go off. I noticed a bunch of people Run into the kitchen down into a bomb shelter But a bunch of people at the tables I said why are these people staying at the tables
Starting point is 00:27:13 Oh they're the Israelis The other ones are tourists I said screw it I'm staying here I asked the military One day over my head The Iron Dome took out a missile I have the picture I put it up on Twitter An Iron Dome took out a missile
Starting point is 00:27:34 Above my head At 2 p.m. coming out of the Carmel Carmel Market in Tel Aviv in bright sunlight, blue sky. And this happened a few times while I was there. And I asked the military, how can you not doing anything about it? They told me they were used to it. And not unless it's really bad, will they do anything back? I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:28:01 That's what he said. And they didn't do anything. And then the night we were leaving, We're on a Delta flight, 1130 at night. We're out about 45 minutes. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a mechanical problem. We have to turn back. And what we will do is we will put you up in a hotel and you'll take a flight tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:28:22 We'll have an extra plane. Terrific. As we were landing, there was like 150 police cars or whatever you call them as we were landing. And as I walked out the pilots there and I said, my exact words, this isn't mechanic. there were bomb threats on all the flights. They brought them all back in, just in case. This is what they live under. And you know what they do while they live under it? They wake up. They take care of their families. They try to live in peace. There's no war. Israel never starts. Oh, they'll certainly answer it. But you just need to know this big gigantic lie. Anyway, Israel stock market was up 6.6% as they're getting bombed. And unfortunately, they were hit pretty good. And amazingly, I think Iran is just saying F it.
Starting point is 00:29:23 If we're going to go down, we're going to go down in a blaze. And we're just going to try and take everybody out because they've just made enemies of everybody in the Middle East if they weren't already enemies. So hopefully, good will come out of this. I gather we're going to continue to be news driven. As far as somebody who does this for a living, we're going to pay as much attention as we can. It's good to see the market.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Give it the middle finger today. The question is, are they going to give it the middle finger tomorrow? I don't know. There were a couple other outcomes today. Interest rates that went down big time Friday, went right back up big time today. So interest rate sensitive, housing, housing related,
Starting point is 00:30:13 got hit pretty hard. Something like a Home Depot in the Dow today was down. 10 bucks. That's a big 10 for a Home Depot. But very good strength today in the artificial intelligence and video cutting more deals
Starting point is 00:30:30 or investing more money with this company and that company. And damn, symbol L-I-T-E, Symbol C-O-H-R, they were already in bull markets. They really rolled today. Another one is A-A-O-I, I believe, in that area. That was up strong, even though they lose money.
Starting point is 00:30:55 And that was a big story of the day. Otherwise, a lot of mixed bag. I can tell, as I mentioned, oils in the fence, retail got hit, hotels, cruise lines, airlines got hit, duh, a lot of stop travel in the Middle East. Shut down. The Dubai airport got hit. So that didn't help. I watched them closely because if this ends quickly, guess what's going to move right back up? Correct. That's how it rolls. So, job, we're not in the big earnings season, so The job shouldn't be that tough. Oh, it's a little tougher right now.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Why? A lot of moving parts. A lot of news driven. We had an inkling this was going to happen. I must tell you, my guess is they miscalculated how much that Iran was going to throw back. Or even the ability to throw back. And I mean, they are just bombing everything. I hope you are paying attention.
Starting point is 00:32:12 This is of import because they're bombing countries that used to have nothing that are now metropolis. You're not Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia. These places are magnificent. I've yet to been to Saudi Arabia. I think I'm planning on it. I think the next time the WWE has one of their pay-per-views, I may go just for that. That'll be my excuse. anyway that's a little this little that
Starting point is 00:32:46 again to wind it up I'm not a big fan of Trump I love some things he's done but I don't like the autocrat part of it and I do believe this should have been a little bit more checks and balances
Starting point is 00:33:05 but I'm rooting for him I stand beside him and if it was Obama I'd be standing beside him why they're running the freaking country and again if you turn on msnbc especially they're freaking insane they're insane okay complain now shut up and say but let's hope this works out they don't shut up hitler this hitler that trade in a country the whole works CNN not as bad as MSNBC And yeah, I have three TVs on at once
Starting point is 00:33:54 Anyway War What is it good for? Absolutely nothing Huh And by the way, there is this whole thing On war That What was the old line I sent to my peeps today
Starting point is 00:34:16 Um I forgot the line If I find it will mention it to you about when the drums when the cannons go off something to that effect and the markets
Starting point is 00:34:31 buy on the cannon, sell on the trumpets whatever I am just fingers crossed no other American Israeli good guys
Starting point is 00:34:45 dies oh by the way the media reported that Israel bombed a children's school in Iran without checking on it and they found out it was a bad missile out of Iran that hit the school. Again, again, we pull no punches here. 38 trillion in debt and counting big time. Tells us so. We're pretty much out of earnings season.
Starting point is 00:35:27 The big story remains. there is a specific group of artificial intelligence stocks not all that are just strong still have problems the financials were mowed down last week
Starting point is 00:35:42 the software stocks bounced again today but in bare markets I will mention crypto up next because maybe carving out something thanks for being here I'm Gary this is the one only investor's edge lately car buying has
Starting point is 00:36:24 become a pretty dull experience. But on eBay, behind every car in part, is a story waiting to be shared. There was a guy who bought a 2020 Porsche Cayman GT4 on eBay. It was well loved. There are plenty of Caymans in great condition on eBay, but this one needed some work. That's just the start of the story. Hello, Lotus Alon, hand the parts to finish it.
Starting point is 00:37:05 eBay has thousands of cars and is the largest online selection of vehicle parts and accessories. eBay. Things people love. Here's a quick podcast for all you true crime fans. The case of the missing Reese's. It was me at the store with my mouth. Motive? Um, they're rees. What was I going to do?
Starting point is 00:37:28 Stop myself. Tune in next time to see if I do it again. Spoiler. I will. Wow. That had everything. Rees. Suspense.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Rees. Cash flow crunch. On-Dex small business line of credit gives your business immediate access to funds, up to $200,000, right when you need it. Cover, seasonal dips, manage payroll, restock inventory, or, tackle unexpected expenses without missing a beat. With flexible draws, transparent pricing, and control over repayment, get funded quickly and confidently. Apply today at on deck.com.

On Deck does not lend in North Dakota, all loans an amount subject to lender approval. You're listening to. What are we waiting for? Well, what are you waiting for? One, two, ready, go. Action!
Starting point is 00:38:23 In the Bester's Edge. with Gary Culper. And welcome once again to Investor's Edge. A crypto, Bitcoin, all that. Maybe carving out a near-term low in its bare market. Maybe a tradable low. The last time that occurred, I think it was, we said to you maybe a tradable low.
Starting point is 00:39:08 On January 5th, it closed at 5,36. It pulled back to 50 within two days went up to 5560 and then croaked. So if you notice, if you look at a chart of Bitcoin, that's the IBIT, by the way. For over three weeks, it has been trading kind of flatline. That's the best way I can put it. It had a strong move last Wednesday on a little gap to the upside, pulled back for two days, and got back today the pullback, and finished just about near the high.
Starting point is 00:39:45 high of Wednesday. If it can take that out, I gather you're going to get some percentage points as it rallies back up to the 50 day, which by the way closed at 4602 on the IBIT, with the IBIT trading at 3938, so there could be some room for it to rally. In its bare market, and may I state for the record, typically bare markets have three legs down. but I don't know about crypto if it does. You've only had two. So we'll advise, but I can safely say, looks like there's a chance it can go a little topside here.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Other things, Ryan Zinky, Montana Republican, will not seek re-election, and another. the I don't know Mr. Zinky but I'm just going to use the term the rats are jumping off the ship the Republicans know they are dead meat in November
Starting point is 00:41:03 and all hell is going to break loose when the Democrats have all the committees and impeachment power and they are going to subpoena, every freaking Republican up there for all the, what I would call stuff that has been done by this president in the last year. And you know exactly what I am talking about. Next, I'm just going to give you a name. I never met them, don't know them, it's just somebody on the internet, the Twitter.
Starting point is 00:41:49 U-R-I is his first name. S-I-N-G-H is a second name. Guri Singh. He put up, I'm going to check it out myself, you can too. I guess he's an AI genius. And he put up this whole thing on Anthropic
Starting point is 00:42:15 just dropped free courses to master AI. No tuition, no waitless, no BS. Here's 10 courses on it. I'm just letting you know I'm going to look it over personally. I've got to learn this stuff. No, I'll take it back. I want to learn this stuff. If this is the shape of things to come,
Starting point is 00:42:39 he also puts up here's some 10 insane grok prompts to turn any idea into income. Boy, this guy's full of the stuff. Anyway, go put up His moniker is at Hey, H-E-Y G-U-R-I-S-I-N-G-H Good on him I'm going to see how many followers he has
Starting point is 00:43:15 Only 37,000, damn Anyway, I'll be checking it out And let me give you one other person to follow His name's Craig Fuller He's just freaking billion brilliant. His moniker is at Freight Alley. He is the best, most knowledgeable transportation type guy out there on trucking and shipping and rails and all that crap. That's a great feed that he has. I learned a lot. He thinks, and this fits in what's going on with Transatlantic. He thinks that the shipping business, whatever, is on fire. While most people aren't hearing that, but while we're watching the transports, very strong.
Starting point is 00:44:20 So I gather this dude is onto something that's Craig Fuller at Freight Alley. for those who are not sure, oh, let's get back to the market real quick, midcaps are poised to break out again. With all the carnage we've been telling you about, the midcap index, MDY, go look at the chart. The Russell 2000 held the 50-day moving average today needs about 2% less than 2% to break out. but that's got a chance held up well when other things did not the S&P is still under the 50 day the Dow at the close today under the 50 day the NASDAQ under the 50 day by the way the NASDAQ still down 2% this year midcaps up 9 Russell 2000 up 7 and by the way they shot out shot out of a cannon first day of the year and any correction
Starting point is 00:45:29 has been quite limited. But keep in mind, it's because we've had a little more of a broad market. So if we start to see the broad market waning, oh, they'll wane too. If I start telling you more than once that advanced declines were one up three down, I don't think you're going to want to be in small and midcaps. So let's keep that in the file manager. And I got to tell you, if the midcaps break above range, may want to look at it.
Starting point is 00:46:01 Anyway, hope. Let's hope. And don't forget, we're all on the same team. That's forgotten too much. Until tomorrow, have a great evening. Drive carefully when you get home, do like we do quite simple. Make sure you hug your family and hug your children. They will feel better.
