Starting point is 00:00:50 glad you're here ladies and gentlemen happy that you are listening it is thursday march 7th This show is emanating from the 25th floor in somewhat, let's see, the upper east side of New York City in my son's apartment. As we're here visiting my parents, 92 and 90 years old, 92 and 90 years old. 92 and 90 He still whines and complains about everything She still cooks for him Quite amazing 92 and 90
Starting point is 00:01:34 Did I say that again? 92 and 90 Anyway, thanks for being here Ladies and gentlemen In case you don't know this is serious talk on everything that affects you You know there's a state of the union address tonight That could affect you The economy
Starting point is 00:01:55 markets, jobs, unemployment, taxes, deficit spending, scams, shams, corruption, you name it, we cover it with no agenda, ulterior motive, or bias. And if you do not get this radio show in your city, we'll post it at garyk.com. We'll also post it on our Twitter feed, which is now X. And if you don't follow us on X, you should go there, put our name in. And of course, you can email us, just be nice. Ladies and gentlemen, the Investors' Edge State of the Union address. We the people, for the most part, are waking up every day, just trying to do better for ourselves and our families, trying to become successful.
Starting point is 00:03:01 And of course, it's all relative. All of us would love to be healthy. wealthy philanthropic that's what most people strive the state of the union of the people leave no doubt there's no doubt
Starting point is 00:03:27 it's not perfect leave no doubt there's bad eggs leave no doubt we hear about that every single day. But most all of us just get up every day
Starting point is 00:03:49 wanting to do better for ourselves and our families. And how do I know that? Because your handsome and buffed host pays attention. Do you pay attention? When you go to a restaurant,
Starting point is 00:04:09 do you really, that that restaurant, the first employees probably show up at four in the morning and get deliveries very early in the morning, prepare the food, prep the food, wait for everybody else to show up, to serve you. How about those tables at the restaurant? Do you know how they're cleaned? They're cleaned by waiters, waitresses, bus boys, and bus girls. You know how the food is cooked? There are chefs there. But most people go into restaurants and don't realize these are all people wanting to do better for themselves and their families.
Starting point is 00:04:58 And maybe the chef one day is going to have their own restaurant. You never know. Maybe that chef is going to have 10 or 20 or 50. Remember, you ever hear of Rachel Ray? You ever see Bobby Flay? I love Bobby Flay on the cooking channel. But that's not all. In New York City now, they finally got smart.
Starting point is 00:05:24 They finally got smart. They realized protection of citizens is the most important job of the leaders of a city. So as I took the train today, every stop had police officers. They're now looking at baggage and stuff like that. You know what those police officers are doing? They're not just standing there. They're protecting you and I. And they're risking their lives protecting you and I.
Starting point is 00:05:59 While their wives and husbands overnight, while their wives or husbands on the beat are out. And those wives and husbands don't know if they're going to come back. How about those? And maybe one of those police officers would end up being the chief of police one day. Who knows?
Starting point is 00:06:25 But that's not all. Because I flew here. And there were stewards on the airplane. And the woman who sat next to me, one of these stewardesses, are they called stewardesses now, told me it's our last flight of the day and she's been out all day.
Starting point is 00:06:44 And then there's the pilots. You know how much training they went through? So they get you there safely? A ton. A ton. You ever think about that? Well, that's what's going on every day. And everywhere I go, whether I'm looking down on the ground right now, from the 25th floor,
Starting point is 00:07:09 I see one of those food trucks, one of these halal food trucks owned by a person. wanting to do better for themselves and their families. The state of the union of the people is freaking great, not perfect. And as we've said, there's some bad ones out there. There's racism out there. There are racists out there. I see it. I get emails from people calling me the K word.
Starting point is 00:07:48 I could imagine what blacks are. and Hispanics. And unfortunately, there's still people like that. But they're in the minority. Most people just want to get up every day and do well for themselves and their families and move up. Upward mobility. Medical advancements,
Starting point is 00:08:14 technological breakthroughs, new wonder drugs. I remember my uncle 20-some-odd years ago, died within a year, died within a year of getting multiple myeloma and blood disease. And now you can live five, 10, 15 years. And who knows one day a cure? AIDS used to be a death sentence.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Then Magic Johnson, a cocktail of drugs. And he's going to live the rest of his life. And you know what Magic Johnson did with his life afterwards? Became one of the great businessmen, philanthropists, great source. speaker, a great voice. And he could have been dead. Medical breakthroughs, technological breakthroughs. I still remember when Margo Voisish walked into my office in the 90s and said,
Starting point is 00:09:09 we're going to give you intra-office email. And I said, what's that? Well, you now don't have to walk to the other office to talk to somebody. I go, don't why don't, don't I want to do that? Well, we're going to start with that. And then look what happened. The Internet. Now the talk of artificial intelligence, who to hell know where that's going to bring us?
Starting point is 00:09:35 We're doing great. The problem, they suck. Therein lies the problem. Every time we try to do more, every time we try to do better, They take their big clown foot and step on us. The State of the Union is con artistry, debt-laden, corruption-specific. Some of them there, who have been making $180,000 a year while they're in there for 20 years, are showing net worth of $50 million.
Starting point is 00:10:30 How is that possible? The list goes on and on what they are doing. The state of our union, we the people, pretty damn good. Their union sucks. And the chief sucker will be speaking tonight and providing some of the greatest con artistry in our history. I'm not talking about words. Anybody can say words.
Starting point is 00:11:07 I'm talking flat out numbers. Up next, the numbers, their state of the union. This is the one-only Investor's Edge. In this episode, we are diving into gut health with CVS pharmacist Victoria Motola, who explains why so many of us live with stomach issues we should not accept as normal. A lot of what I see is just like chronic bloating, chronic stomach aches. like I get a stomach egg every time that I eat and it just becomes like a lifestyle where oh yeah you know I just
Starting point is 00:13:13 I have a stomachache every day or I'm constantly feeling like gassy and all of those things are not something that generally if you have a healthy gut you should be living with so that's when we deep dive we deep dive into your medication we deep dive into your OTC medication and then at that point we can probably identify

It's time to switch on the integrator units and get the brain cells working. You're listening to. Hey, this promises to be fun. Investors Edge. The last bastion of quality programming.
Starting point is 00:15:38 With Gary Coltbaum. It doesn't get better than this. Tonight, while we continue to work our tails off, to better for ourselves and our families, this man who has been in Washington, D.C., since about 500 million of debt, that's now 34.5 trillion. is going to tell us how wonderful he is. What a great job he has done. That all the ills are somebody else's fault. All the good is because of him.
Starting point is 00:16:29 When inflation picked up, he called it the Putin price hike. When inflation cooled off, it was because of him. When government spending dropped because we, because we stopped spending on COVID, he came out and lied and said, you see, I'm lowering spending. When the deficit dropped initially because of the same, he lied and said,
Starting point is 00:17:07 he's lowered the deficit. But since he engineered the greatest, the largest, the hugest increase in government, their power, their base, their control, their spending. In history, that's his state of the union. The year before COVID, 4.4 trillion of federal spending. This year seven, in and around, and done on purpose. Every one of those dimes of increase will be debt.
Starting point is 00:18:01 We keep sending them more and more, and they keep multiplying themselves more and more, to the point where even some other people are now coming out and echoing what we've been telling you for quite the while. He's then going to tell us wealthy people are tax cheats, and we're coming. after you. He's then going to tell us that businesses are gouging you. And how dare they? It's their fault. Your potato chips have smaller bags. It has nothing to do with anything from them. He will not be going into the border tonight big time because we know who caused the problems at the border big time and his poll numbers on the border are lower than root canal, the state of their union. And then they're going to propose extracting more money out of America to pay for
Starting point is 00:19:30 his gargantuan increase in government control, power, and spending. The year 2000, all of federal spending was 1.8 trillion the last 12 months our debt went up 2.7 trillion they are in 2019 4.4 trillion of spending it's going to be up 50 percent he is eclipsed the spending that was added for COVID and now he's coming after you ladies and gentlemen America but what they do is they tell you oh we're not coming after you if you don't make enough money we're only going after the wealthy where the money is we're going after these bad corporations that don't pay enough in taxes even though he and his buddies wrote the tax code throughout the years, which is about as confusing and gargantuan as their
Starting point is 00:20:48 debt and deficits in order to confuse the hell out of you. Why haven't they just put a tax code on a postcard? Because that would make it too easy. The state of their union is to massively confuse one and all and put costs on your back. on a daily basis. The cost to do taxes are gargantuan, brought to you by them, the state of their union. So tonight, when they talk about going after the wealthy, the bad old successful wealthy, that's you. every single one of you that are supposedly not wealthy what do you want to become one day
Starting point is 00:21:44 wealthy but if they tax the hell out of you as you try to become wealthy it gets tougher that's you when a business gets taxed more what do you think it's you everything flows downhill
Starting point is 00:22:08 every single thing flows downhill. So to the state of our union is better than ever. It really is. The state of theirs making themselves wealthier and more powerful while stomping on our heads. And that's what we're going to get tonight from the liar-in-chief. And as I have stated to you, I take no joy. I would rather be complimenting him profusely.
Starting point is 00:22:48 I'd rather be telling you great stories about them. But they are run amok, and they are proving it time and time again. It's not just opinion, it's numbers. And now they're going to come and get us. With massive more taxes, more rules, more regulations, more fees, more fines, more mandates, more restrictions, more telling us what we have to do and what we have to say and how we say it. How do you know, how the hell do we get a Donald Trump because of a Joe Biden? because of the last few. And that's my take.
Starting point is 00:23:51 We're great. We're trying to get greater. We're trying to get better. They are the headwind. Up next. We'll put a bowtie on it. We'll hit the markets. I'm Gary. This is the one only investor's edge.

A lot of what I see is just like chronic bloating, chronic stomach aches. Like I get a stomach ache every time that I eat and it just becomes like a lifestyle where, oh yeah, you know, I just have a stomach kick every day.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Or I'm constantly feeling like gassy. And all of those things are not something that generally, if you have a healthy gut, you should be living with. So that's when we deep dive. We deep dive into your medication. We deep dive into your OTC medication. And then at that point, we can probably identify something that we can change. Starting point is 00:27:12 You're listening to. America is talking. Investors edge. He's got to be pleased with that. The crowd is just on his feet here. He's a Cinderella boy. With Gary Colbomb. It comes highly recommended. You're going to feel better if you talk to. By the way, when I tell you. When I tell you I actually really do pay attention to everything and everybody. I really, really do. And I really do believe most go about their business, normal, but really don't have the great appreciation of the waiter or the waitress or the busboy, the janitors. And I've always taught my sons, I've always taught them, you better treat the guy who cleans the toilets in your office building as well as you treat the CEO. That's the way it should be. I've always told them you respect everybody, no matter what their Latin life is. And always, if able, try to do something for
Starting point is 00:28:52 somebody else you need absolutely nothing from. That's what I've taught my sons and try to profess to anybody who wants to listen. And then we have them. And as I have said to you, I can't stand any of them. Nothing personal, but they went to Washington, D.C., and they are taken over. and they do it with rules, regulations, fees, fines, mandates, taxes, and a hell of a lot of confusion. Have you ever thought about that, by the way? Why is it we have to fill out these big tax forms? Why can't it just be, okay, if you make this much, you pay this much? Do you know why the confusion?
Starting point is 00:29:58 Because they suck. if I was president, the only people that would be very upset with me would be the accounting profession. It never should have gotten to this. It should have never gotten here. It should have never been here.
Starting point is 00:30:18 Those are the little things. You know how many pages in the tax code there are? Do you know how many pages there are in the Federal Register? That's the regulations. Have you ever seen in California how many governmental departments there are? Holy crap! Go look at it.
Starting point is 00:30:34 up by the way just go google the words good a list of government departments in california and you wonder why they're running massive deficits in california while have huge taxes are the citizenry anyway that's the state of our union and maybe one day we'll find the hero that's running the country that has our hand around us, not looking down at us with a mallet banging us over the head. And that goes for the last guy too. Hey, the markets! Look, all I can tell you,
Starting point is 00:31:27 and the best way I can explain to you is I did this dissertation yesterday on Nvidia and how we're going about we bought Nvidia at 505. It's 918 today up into 31 and we're not satisfied because we really want to go back
Starting point is 00:31:48 and kind of ingest everything about when that happened I actually did not say to myself man everything else has to follow if the number one stock starts moving. Now we bought more and other things
Starting point is 00:32:06 and we're doing fine. We could have done a lot better. Anyway, you had another one of those days today. The NASDAQ up 241, NASDAQ 100, 280, the semiconductors are up 167. It's just unreal to watch. It really is. Now, we had another important semiconductor name report after the closing, that's Broadcom. And it was interesting enough, it is down $57 in the aftermarket to $1,350.
Starting point is 00:32:39 but it was up $57 today. So what be there? So it's kind of flat. So it's down. Whopi-Doo-Doo. And just another strong day. As I said, InViti up 31. Facebook was up 15.
Starting point is 00:32:59 It was up 22, I think, has to do with the government's BSing us trying to say they want to get rid of TikTok, which they're not going to because they don't want to lose the young vote. So that was up. Taiwan semi up seven to half. It was just another good day. Now, we'll see what Tamar brings with Broadcom, but for all I know, it's up tomorrow. Now, that said, I'm going to give you a couple of things here. A little technical. Nvidia is breaking above an uptrend channel.
Starting point is 00:33:33 And typically that means it's getting close. Doesn't mean the end of the world, but getting close. hey after 84% since January 8th, it's due. But I could say that last week and the week before. That's the story. But yet other good things today, the oils are better. And I am willing to tell you, I think oils are now curling up. You know how we've been a void, avoid, avoid, avoid.
Starting point is 00:34:04 But we've also been saying, you know, there are a few names at New Yearly highs. we're a little more confident in them today off of the action. And remember, bottoming is a process. It's not an event. So we're on oil watch. Some of the commodities better, and why? The dollar's sinking. Dollar down, commodities up.
Starting point is 00:34:25 We ask you to go look that up. Why? But good day for the broad market. Three to one positive on the New York. About 25, 16 on the NASDAQ. The Dow was up 130. But it was Microsoft. bounce five, Amazon bounce three, that's now in the doubt. What remains weak and unbelievable,
Starting point is 00:34:47 Apple was down again today with the NASDAQ down to four, up 241. That's amazing to watch. It really is, ladies and gentlemen. Amazing to watch. But that's how it works sometimes. I'm being asked finally about Apple. Think it's a value, this, value that. Here's what I promised each and every one of you. When I think Apple turns, we'll mention it on the show. But leave no doubt, the sellers have
Starting point is 00:35:21 the definitive upper hand in Apple right now. They bounce Google a little bit today. That's been weak. Tesla was up a measly point. That's been weak. Rhyming a reason with Tesla, lower prices, equals lower margins,
Starting point is 00:35:39 equal lower profits, equals lower stock. and that's what you're seeing there. So a bunch of things going, oh, gold, we told you a break above gold, 194 in the GLD, it's 199, 93, and that is in four days. That was a multi-year, all-time breakout on gold. And I think we said yesterday, if you can catch a pullback around 195, 196 on the GLD, that would be your entry.
Starting point is 00:36:09 Keep in mind, it's a slowboat. it certainly ain't one of these semi-conductors it's a slowboat but hey you never know who the hell knows maybe it just ripped raws like Bitcoin
Starting point is 00:36:27 which by the way was up again today stunningly so so I really have no complaints up China stocks they just ain't making it remember we said a nascent
Starting point is 00:36:41 rally that's not happening. And when you have Alibaba and Baidu acting like the south end of a northbound jackass, the two big names, it's going to be rough going to get going. And I think that's what's going on there. So China ain't happening. But oil's better, which means we would be careful about airlines and cruise lines. If oil prices keep going up, we'll see if that affects retail. Though some retailers act Well, Burlington was up 15 today on their numbers, which have been improving. What more can I tell you?
Starting point is 00:37:22 Oh, interest rates, 10-year yield down to 4.092. Just topped out at 4.36, I believe. That's good news. Remember, cost of capital throughout the food chain, cost of capital. Muay importante. Up next, more on them markets. Thanks for being here. I'm Gary.
Starting point is 00:37:52 This is the one only Investors Edge. Starting point is 00:41:04 What are we waiting for? Well, what are you waiting for? One, two, ready. And by the way, action. In The Chester's Edge. With Gary Kaltb. And by the way, in my little state of the union, I forgot to mention teachers, nurses. Did I mention doctors?
Starting point is 00:41:42 You know, teachers get a bad rap. You know, there's been some negative news on some teachers out there. But I got news for you. For the most part, most I have met. Just want to do well by your kids. Teach them things. And yeah, we know, there's some weird things going on, ladies and gentlemen. Some of the things being taught in schools, that ain't coming down from the teachers.
Starting point is 00:42:16 That's coming down from on high. And then the nurses. Emergency room people? You ever been in an emergency room and how great these people are? Saving lives? the nurses are running around you ever think about them and of course the doctors
Starting point is 00:42:43 especially the anesthesiologists you got to have a good anesthesiologist ladies and gentlemen just something to think about because I really do believe we wake up every morning to do better for ourselves and our families but we are really thinking about all that and our work and stuff we don't take a step back
Starting point is 00:43:07 to think about what everybody does for us. Who built that elevator going in? The escalator. You know, I've been flying through LaGuardia, New York. I mean, that place was third world airport. Now it's one of the greatest airports I've been in. Somebody came up with that. Somebody built that.
Starting point is 00:43:36 Well, a lot of people did. Anyway, just some food for thought Because on this day In the state of the union I wanted to differentiate Us from them And to be clear
Starting point is 00:43:51 It is really I do believe It is us versus them right now They are the other side They are not aligned with us I don't care Who preaches to you You know one side
Starting point is 00:44:12 preaches one thing, the other side preaches another, while they continue to run up the score for themselves and their power. It's just great three-card Monty. It's great con artistry. And as I said to you a few times, it feels like sometimes they curse each other out and then they go into the back room and starts laughing their butts off while popping the champagne corks. Go get the book. It's an older book. by a guy named Peter Schweitzer, throw them all out. It goes over a bunch of politicians and how they scam the game,
Starting point is 00:44:58 the game, to make themselves wealthy off of their positions in Washington, D.C. I think it's like maybe 8, 10 years old. It's unnerving. And when you see this man tonight preaching, think about the numbers. and what they are doing. They spent 2.7 trillion more than they was supposed to do in the last year.
Starting point is 00:45:34 This is after COVID. They are guaranteeing going forward. Two trillion a year in deficits. That means they're spending $2 trillion more than they were supposed to. Just remember, they've conditioned us. We were never supposed to have deficits. It was never supposed to be that. way. But they started small and they realized they were onto something. And then they went bigger and
Starting point is 00:46:03 bigger and bigger. And now it's gargantuan. And now it's gargantuan. And there's no way of putting the crap back in the goose unless we get a hero that just stops the incline. And when I mean incline, it's about as vertical as NVIDIA stock right now. And they're getting away with it with their lies, their deceit, and their state of the union. They're separate from us. They're the other side. And I don't care whether you're an R or a D or an I. I don't care if you're the Whig Party.
Starting point is 00:46:55 You better start realizing it. they've also created this great fissure between people they're doing it very very well oh and may I not forget the other side signed off on the last budget they ended up with no choice if I was running the party that budget ain't getting through
Starting point is 00:47:20 and I'm going on national TV with a whiteboard showing you what this Biden was trying to do at the time not to mention the three $380 billion for climate given to one man to dole out. It's criminal, but it's not a crime. A crime is something you get arrested for. You get my point. We'll keep guiding you through the markets.
Starting point is 00:47:55 We'll keep letting you know where, what, when, how, why. I just needed to take time today to give you our state of the union. markets fine broadened out a bit oils now going we'll watch to see if oils affect things and of course we'll keep watching
Starting point is 00:48:15 interest rates on which way they go but right now this artificial intelligence this whole whatever you want to call it remains dang
Starting point is 00:48:30 it's the only way I can put it is dang and we're going going to learn a lot from it. We're making some good coin. But we're going to learn going forward, and that's how we get better. You all have a great evening drive carefully. I'll be on with Neil Cavuto tomorrow. New Now or Fox Business. Check it out.
