It's a Thursday.

markets the economy your job your industry the more locks in dc you may go look up the word

agenda, any ulterior motive,
any bias,
$40 trillion says so.
And if you do not get this radio show in your city,

We'll also post it on our X feed.
And of course, if you don't follow us on X,
you should.
Just put our name.
If you like to email us, just be nice.
Be respectful.
I had one jackass yesterday.
Could not take the fact that I actually said something about the president that he didn't like.
Oh, I'm so sorry.
Just be nice and respectful.
We'll be nice and respectful back.
It's easy.
That's all.
We'll also, as we'll post the show on our YouTube channel, the Biz TV and the like.
Let me spend five minutes on something, though.
I covered it yesterday, but I wanted to cover it again because it's an unbelievable story.
Odds favored yesterday that a plane was going to be taken down by a terrorist,
killing nearly 200 people.
odds favored it
everything I'm reading
odds favored it
almost took over the plane
almost
stabbed the other pilot
more than once
while the cockpit was closed
to take over the plane
and had it diving
and diving more than 100
miles per hour more than it normally would go
which for number one
Number one, the fact that the plane didn't break up is stunning.
But he had the wherewithal.
I think that's the word, right?
The wherewithal to get the cockpit open.
And four men got in and kicked the crap out of the terrorist,
got him in a chokehold, tied him up.
and this is what is being reported.
One of the men is a plumber,
got the plane back to level,
and he was able to do it because he saw it on a TV show.
Not making this up.
And then it turns out there were two pilots
that were going to be taken over once they landed,
and they ended up landing the plane.
Now, I did miss speak.
yesterday. I complimented Saudis, but that was the people that helped out when they finally
landed, but it turns out the Saudi government wasn't going to let certain things happen
while there was all this distress. Anyway, unbelievable. That plane should have even been
broken up in midair or taken down by this guy.
what a story.
And I got to tell you that for me,
somebody that is not a pilot from a TV show.
By the way, this has been confirmed.
From a TV show knew what to push or pull to get the plane out of its,
I mean, this was a steep,
drop. Did you see the radar? Anyway, I just wanted to bring that up. I hope you don't mind.
I just thought it was, I think it's a stunning, a stunning story. Anyway, and I told you yesterday,
I always parked my carcass near the front of an airplane. They ain't no,
taking my ass down.
And I have talked myself, if anybody just gets up and does anything wrong, they're getting
speared.
Professional wrestling move.
Anyway, we move on.
Okay.
So the market's closing as I speak.
It was much worse.
It was better.
In the last few minutes, it jammed up and jammed right back down.
I don't know if there's any news coming out,
but at the close, the Dow was only up 21,
the S&P up 15, NASDAQ 10,
but NASDAQ 100 was up 93.
I'm looking to see what happened at the end of the day.
I don't see anything.
But something else happened that's of import in the markets,
and that is yields went down today.
They opened hot, finished down,
not at the lows of the day,
but down pretty decently, I cannot begin to tell you
how important that's going to be going forward for the markets.
I cannot begin to tell you what it means to the markets.
It really is a deciding factor, the cost of capital,
the cost of capital, and that was good news.
did not like the finish of the day,
but it was good news and we'll take it.
I'm looking to see what happened.
There was just some wild swinging at the close.
First up, then down.
We'll see.
If yields come down, this is what I tell you,
and I've been telling the peeps.
Expect the worst areas to bounce.
Why? Because they got trashed because the yields go in vertical.
That would be things like consumer stuff, housing, retail, transports.
These are all the areas we've been telling you, been dead.
Restaurants, airlines, cruise lines, hotels, economically sensitive names.
You know, the United Rentals or the W.W. Granger.
That's how meaningful they are as well as oil prices.
That's how meaningful they are.
So we are going to watch these suckers closely.
Today was definitely, definitely an improvement on the yield front
and on the advanced decline front in that advanced declines with 2621 on the New York.
to the better for a change.
25, 23 to the better on the NASDAQ,
not so great, but we'll take it.
But I do want to repeat those worst areas.
Any rally will not be because things are great.
It'll be because yields pull back from heightened moves.
And these things have been dropping so deeply.
it would just be a bounce
and then we get to watch
the significance of the bounce
and that we can only tell you
as cards come out of the deck
that's the only thing we can do at that time
as cards come out of the deck
we're able to feel things better
and go from there
so just letting you know
how important that is to us.
And if anything changes,
oh, we'll be yapping.
We're not shy.
And I must tell you
that some of the drops
in some of the
very important names that we follow,
I have to tell you,
I'm stunned by some of those drops.
Absolutely stunned.
When you have a chance,
go look at a,
Home Depot, for instance.
Up next, we'll continue along those lines.
This is the one only Investor's Edge.

You're listening to. Hey, this promises to be fun. Investors Edge.
The last bastion of quality programming. With Gary Coltbaum. It doesn't get better than this.
And welcome once again to Investor's Edge.
So I mentioned the Home Depot, but there's just hundreds.
Remember, there was 1,200 new yearly lows, which were amazed at.
So let's hope yields continue to do the right thing.
And you'll get better action in the small and midcaps, better advanced declines.
You'll get bounces in the transports, which, by the way, got to bounce today.
retail, some of the travel, probably commodities, restaurants, the economically sensitive stuff.
All the stuff that has been absolutely trashed will bounce.
All the stuff that has been absolutely trashed will bounce if yields just come down from their almost vertical move.
as of recent.
Now, a few things sticking out today.
Micron reported was down, I believe, you ready?
Micron today was hit a low at 1022, closed at 1097, 75.
It was down $43 finished up 32.
Am I right?
Yeah
It finished up
29 after looking at it
And it's down five bucks in the aftermarket
It got a little bit jammed into the close
Their numbers were great
But the market was not conducive
Until the end of the day
With the Sox
Semiconductor Index
finishing up 200
As you know
The Sox is one of the areas
One of the few that we think
Have had pretty decent relative strength
We'll see if that continues.
Don't know.
About two weeks we'll start getting the banks,
which have been just under serious freaking pressure,
including the regional banks,
foreign banks,
which actually were a port in the storm for a while,
lenders, investment bankers, brokerages,
everything financial has been absolutely.
absolutely crumbling.
And again, yields and oil.
And again, late in the day, the mouth.
I think he just likes hearing himself.
Why do you even have to say that?
By the way, oil prices went up $2.
oil, not the gas prices, in minutes on that.
It's almost like he wants to lose the elections.
Unbelievable.
Anything else sticking out?
Not a ton.
You got some bounces.
It's the best I can tell you.
You got a few improving things.
Some of the electronic slash,
a contract manufacturer slash telecom.
There's some improvement.
The software names had another decent day today.
Can't argue that point.
Software has been pretty good,
but a narrow select amount of names.
On the other end,
Amazon, Netflix,
Oracle, Adobe, Google,
still act very, very poorly.
On the other end, Apple went to the highs and pulled back.
No biggie.
Nvidia is within 2 or 3% from the highs.
Microsoft tried to break out today and failed again.
Meta has been strong on that muse thing,
whatever that is, but just very mixed.
and again today 1132 new yearly lows though a lot of things came off the daily lows today
but they'll still use 1132 for the day which by the way continues to amaze the hell out of me
how weak the underlying market has been amazing versus the big indices where we've been
telling you, we've been hiding. We've been hiding out on the big indices. And of course, if
anything changes, we'll let you know. If anything improves, we'll let you know. If anything
shows up, we'll let you know. As always, though, it is your money. You get to decide
oil and yields, dictating policy in the economy, in your life, in the markets.
for a day today yields better oil not and again the good prez yapping away yapping away there's also talk just letting you know
this is how we feel the greatest economy ever the strongest economy ever the golden age we're just letting
you know, it is not the greatest economy ever. It is not the strongest economy ever. I call it a decent
to good economy. And we've had months where it was not good. We hope for improvement. The job market
has been pedestrian. The best month we've seen in a year is like 150,000. We used to average
250. We've had some months that were down in job creation. Over the last
year the numbers are subpar, we hope for improvement. We'll talk about the election in a little bit,
which we're going to do almost every day going forward as we get closer to pick it apart.
The new yearly high list pay very close attention to it right now, every day, because there's
hardly any. Any improvement in the market, you'll see some. And the first,
first ones that show up usually good up next tidbits this is the one only investors edge
i'm listening to america is talking investors edge he's got to be pleased with that the crowd
is just on his feet here he's a Cinderella boy with Gary cult bomb comes highly recommended you're
going to feel better if you talk to him and welcome once again to investors edge thanks for being with us
today. Most important day of the year, of course. October 1st. You know why, right? Most important
day of the year. The handsome and buff one's birthday. Today. I can't believe my age, though.
You should have seen how much I benched pressed yesterday. I am definitely not my age. Some tidbits.
one of the very, I considerate, controversial stocks in the market is Corweave, highly touted.
It is down about 55% from the highs after it came out of an IPO, loses a ton of money, has good revenue growth.
But questioning about it.
First off, there is a massive amount of insider selling, but secondly, the amount of debt.
The amount of debt is almost as big as its market cap.
You hear that?
Almost as big as this market cap.
Interest expense alone, $985 million in the last six months.
Huh. Total $35 billion of debt. Revenue doubled, but the borrowing tripled. Every new data center requires more debt. Every dollar of debt costs more as rates stay high.
NVIDIA sells Corweave the chips and owns $2 billion in Corweave stock. Corweave borrows to buy the chips and borrows to build the data centers.
and borrows to keep the lights on
while it waits for its revenue backlog to convert.
We're going to be watching these.
We really do believe,
we're not indicting anybody,
but we really do believe some of these setups
are really controversial.
And we are in hopes
that it does not blow up like many,
believe it will. Here's another one.
NVIDIA. People are calling it the bank of NVIDIA. It is backstopped $105 billion of
Open AIs Ohio lease. Another $125 billion in residual value guarantees sits inside a $500
billion dollar chip financing plan over 230 billion in promises to keep customers buying its chips
i'm no einstein i'm no stephen hawking but in plain sight circular financing in plain sight
and i repeat again boy i hope none of this blows
up. But the worry, I don't believe there is any accounting for slowdowns, recessions.
And I know this artificial intelligence is the end all, be all biggest thing ever. At least
we're being told. I hope it is. I'm just letting you know, there's some weird crap going on
that I'm not used to,
and that Wall Street,
and I think a lot of the economy is dependent on,
we shall keep you advised,
especially on how these things trade
and are presented.
We're really going to be watching insider buying and selling,
especially the selling,
in a whole slew of names,
and we will also be watching the credit default swaps
for these companies
that the bets,
the bets have been on trouble
by a lot of the big money crowd.
And I want to repeat,
I want to make sure you know
I'm rooting for the best.
We do not want disaster.
We have no joy in it, but it's really weird.
And I must tell you the announcements are on the weird side too.
We'll see how it plays out.
We're staying on top of it, big time.
I mentioned earlier about the new yearly highs.
When there aren't any, typically the first ones that show up are meaningful.
I'm not talking about any Tom Dick and Harry stock. I'm talking about a meaty stock, M-E-A-T-Y, earnings, sales, strong, group, good, relative strength, strong. So today is actually just one day, but it is the first day in a while where yields,
come down, broad market just felt better, but there are no guarantees on yields, ladies and
gentlemen, not at all. And we're still 5.237 on the 10, 5.005 on the 5,000 on the 5, 5.603 on the 30.
We're also getting feedback from people.
What about the midterms in the market?
Couldn't care less.
Couldn't care less.
I watch seasonality.
September, bad, October, good, midterm this, midterm that.
I can promise you, there have been plenty of seasonalities
that was supposed to be bullish that went bearish and vice versa.
We let the market decide.
because I'm not so sure the market gives a crap about seasonality.
I'm all for it.
The one thing that typically sticks out is the end of the year type thing.
That's the one thing.
I'll give it that.
But that's about it.
Front and center, boy, are we watching the semis here to see if they can get going.
Mui Importante. It was a good day today. My semiconductor screen quite green today.
And as you know, semiconductors go into everything. So they matter.
Up next. Hey, we got an election coming up.
Hey, thanks for being here. I'm Gary. This is the one only investor's edge.
You're listening to.
What are we waiting for? Well, what are you waiting for?
One, two, ready.
And welcome once again to Investors Edge.
Hey, there's an election coming up where many people believe gridlock is a good thing.
I do.
There's too much of them.
We've been told how the Democrats are such socialist, but I got news for you.
One of the great socialists is Donald Trump in this administration, intervening and intervention
and everything.
They don't stop.
We already know about the self-dealing.
Just letting you know, nothing's changed.
They are going to get slaughtered in the House.
I disagree with some that say it's only going to be 20.
I think it's going to be 40.
But who the hell knows?
I believe the Senate,
the fact that it's even going to be close tells you how bad things are.
because the calendar isn't set up for the Dems to really take over,
but they may just,
here in Florida,
Byron Donald's is even to down a little bit.
In Florida,
what did we tell you?
Just so you know,
everything we told you has been coming to fruition.
The Hispanics that voted Trump,
been, have run for the hills because of deportation, the way it's been handled. What did I tell you?
If anything changes, we'll let you know, but it's not. The president was out today, just
telling untruths. And you can't do that. You just can't do that. It has an effect. Untruths on
inflation and oil prices today. And yesterday, amazing.
I was thrilled.
Do you know they announced yesterday and they had this big ceremony, big ceremony of a done deal?
Listen carefully to me because this matters heading into an election.
A done deal to build a $15 billion steel plant in Lee County, Iowa.
A done deal.
They build it as a game changer.
The president and his people said it would produce 10 million tons of steel a year by 2030,
enough to make Iowa the nation's number two steel producer.
A company from India base, Massabi Metallics, that's behind the plan, said it would create
5,000 to 6,000 construction jobs and 1,700 permanent jobs.
Howard Lutnik, the Commerce Secretary, said this deal,
is done. It's been already worked out. That's why we are here with the president. The president
doesn't bring people together unless it's a done deal. You guys know that already. The
president came out and said they've already started building. It was on TV. I watched it.
You ready? Lee County Land Records found no major property purchases tied to the project this year.
Company officials said they don't have details about its plans and no permits have been filed.
The financial side isn't settled either.
The Iowa legislator will meet Friday in a special session.
The debate incentives for the company to build in Iowa.
Nothing has been built.
Nothing has been done.
In fact, the lawmakers and Trump haven't even disclosed exactly where in Lee County the plant would go.
But they said it was already being built.
This is what we mean.
Unforced error after unforced ever and you know what the biggest story in Iowa is today?
That!
You know what they're saying?
Well, what happened to the plant?
Where's it being built?
So if a journalist asked the president, you said it was being built.
What happened?
Elections have consequences, ladies and gentlemen.
That's all I can tell you.
And it's just stunning to watch the unforced errors after unforced errors after unforced errors.
The only good news if the Dems win the House and Senate, they ain't going to get anything done.
They're not going to be able to put in their wealth taxes and all the other crazy stunts.
And by the way, the extreme lefties, they're in enough rubber rooms and straight jackets.
we'll keep your breast
without any agenda,
ulterior motive, or bias
because we can't stand any of them.
1.2 trillion of our tax dollars
going towards interest tells you that.
$2 trillion plus deficits
tells you that.
And you should all be up in arms
on all of them.
We mean business here.
If we were president,
lower taxes, less regulations, strong border, strong on crime.
Get the hell out of your way.
You the people.
It ain't you the government.
But government's taken over in ways that we never imagined.
And somewhere along the line, got to be stopped.
The debt, the deficits, the interventions, the tariffs, the tariffs,
They're working for us.
At least that's the way it's supposed to be.
We're not supposed to be working for them.
We need to get that through our thick heads because it's become very tiresome.
Have a great evening.
Drive carefully when you get home.
Do like we do quite simple.
Make sure you hug your family, hug your children.
They will feel better.
You'll feel better.
I promise stay well, be well.
Let's hope rates keep going down.
Peace out all.
Good night.
