We'll do a little aftermath of the election in a couple of minutes, but first, this is serious talk on everything that affects you. we cover everything, the election, the markets, the economy, your job, your industry, scams and shams and debt and deficits, and whatever else comes to mind on a daily basis. If you don't get this show in your city, we'll post it at garyk.com. We'll also post it on our Twitter feed, which is now X. And if you don't follow us on X, you should.
Starting point is 00:01:20 And if you like to email me, just email me and just be nice. You can email me at garyk.com. We'll also post it on all the podcast. So we've been doing a little bit of aftermath. And as you know, we were very much out there every day telling you Trump is winning. In spite of Trump, we were telling you that this administration was handing. was handing it to Trump on a silver platter. We told you why.
Starting point is 00:02:10 And the whys are the exact reason why Trump won. Amazing. We nailed it. And I'm not here to pat on the back, but we really did nail it. And you know what the amazing part about it is, is that we have doubly nailed it from the evidence we are getting
Starting point is 00:02:30 from the aftermath. What did we tell you for weeks? Number one, you've been scammed and conned by the media and the administration. We told you were scammed and conned. In what ways? They blacked out the bad news. They gave Trump a colonoscopy 24-7. They were throwing out, by the way,
Starting point is 00:03:04 just so you know, it was the media that were bouncing these things off of you. Nazis and fascists and racism. Nazis and fascists and racism to the point where they actually said that a rally at Madison Square Garden was a Nazi rally. And I'm thinking to myself how desperate they are. What the hell's going on here? But we got to the election. Trump swept the black votes moving towards the Republican side. Hispanic votes.
Starting point is 00:03:59 By the way, we're only bringing it up because this is the news. But as you know, we don't think in those terms. We think in the terms of Americans. And we're bringing it up right now because a big wow. the aftermath. First off, message to the president that's coming in to the White House. Don't say a word about the other party now. Wish them well. And don't say a word. You're done. Not a single solitary word. The Biden and Harris campaign, are going after each other with a fervor blaming each other now.
Starting point is 00:04:57 If I were Trump, don't say a word. But here is what I want to report to you because the people with the most influence on one side of the aisle that were trying to influence you that Nazis and racist, and misogynist. Al Sharpton, a black man is out more than once saying black men
Starting point is 00:05:34 are misogynists for not voting for Kamala Harris. He's throwing his own race under the bus. Media saying absolutely nothing about it. On the view, which as I have told you, I've never
Starting point is 00:05:55 watched until yesterday, added again today, Hispanics are now misogynists. In other words, when they voted one way, terrific. They voted another way, all of a sudden, misogynous. So the people that they were depending on throughout all the years have finally come to a moment in time, for whatever reason, and now all of a sudden they're racist and misogynous. And the amazing part is these people of influence,
Starting point is 00:06:35 don't look in the mirror. Don't think twice about anything else. Somebody tried to explain to the people in the view today why votes. Went through one ear and out the other. The morning Joe, never watch them. during this time did. Got a video sent to me today of Joe, not knowing the cost of butter and milk.
Starting point is 00:07:11 What? Does butter have gold in it? He didn't realize how much people were paying for butter and milk. Another called for the regulation of social media. Really? So when Facebook and Google and the rest were blacking out Republican ads and kissing the butt of the left, it was all good. But now that Twitter slash X is run by Elon Musk, let's regulate them. Do these people not think that the rest of the world is seeing this?
Starting point is 00:08:00 Just letting you know. These are the people with the influence that are talking to people that have lots of people listening to them. I turned on MSNBC. Don't ask me how I was able to do it. The things that would come out of these people's mouths, you would actually believe we were a bunch of racist, misogynist, Heil Hitler lovers You wouldn't believe the stuff that was coming out of these people's mouths The country sucks
Starting point is 00:08:44 That's what they were saying The people of the country They were embarrassed by This is what they're saying Because people chose to vote a different way It's amazing to watch This is the aftermath everything I said, we're finding the evidence in the aftermath.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Joe Biden did a speech today. I'm going to transition this and we have to come together and we have to do this and we have to do that. A week after he called half the country garbage. And he thinks those people don't remember. I'm surprised these people have ever won an election that tells you how bad the Republican. Party has been. It took them to run the country where inflation skyrocketed. On purpose, let 10 million people in where children are missing and the news media has blacked out that the children are missing. They cared so much when Trump separated families and children and
Starting point is 00:10:02 now they don't give a crap that children are missing and they expect us to give them any credibility whatsoever. By the way, this is the aftermath of the election. And now Trump is calling for lower taxes and less regulations, and he's the Antichrist. Think about that. He wants you to have more money in your pocket. And he's the Antichrist. He wants less rules hanging over your head, and he's the Antichrist. Imagine that. He's a actually going towards what I preach here, we the people, and he's the Antichrist. He's Hitler. He's Mussolini. He's Pol Pot. He's the worst of the worst because of what? He wants you to keep more of your money. It's stunning to watch, ladies and gentlemen. Up next, we'll put a bow tie on it. We'll
Starting point is 00:11:05 get to the markets. Whatever else. I'm Gary. This is the one only investor's edge. Hi, I'm Gary Kalbaum, hosted a nationally syndicated radio show Investors Edge. Hi, I'm Dr. Jake Goodman, host of Beyond the Script, the podcast where I sit down with pharmacists to answer the health questions you didn't even know you could ask at the pharmacy counter. In this episode, we are diving into gut health with CVS pharmacist Victoria Motola, who explains why so many of us live with stomach issues we should not accept as normal. A lot of what I see is just like chronic bloating, chronic stomach aches. Like I get a stomach every time that I eat. And it just becomes like a lifestyle where, oh, yeah, you know, I just have a stomach cake every day.
Starting point is 00:13:09 Or I'm constantly feeling like gassy. And all of those things are not something that generally, if you have a healthy gut, you should be living with. So that's when we deep dive. We deep dive into your medication. We deep dive into your OTC medication. And then at that point, we can probably identify something that we can change. Hear the full conversation, plus some fascinating facts about how gut health affects so much more than just your stomach on Beyond the Script, a podcast from CVS Pharmacy and IHeartRadio.

Starting point is 00:15:28 Investors Edge. The last bastion of quality programming. With Gary Coltbaum. It doesn't get better than this. And welcome once again to Investor's Edge. Let me top the aftermath off. I want to top the aftermath. I didn't watch them, but I get video sent to me from you, the peeps.
Starting point is 00:15:55 The late night hosts. I don't watch him. I think Jimmy Fallon is one of the great talents of our time. And I've met him once, and he was very nice to me. At WrestleMania in Orlando, I met him, spoke to him for a whole minute, but he was very nice. I don't know if he said anything last night. I know what Colbert did. He crapped all over Trump.
Starting point is 00:16:27 And the people of this country, a late night host who's supposed to make you feel good as you go to sleep, the world's freaking ending. It's amazing to watch. Last I look, we woke up today and we were still functioning, weren't we? I didn't see the world end today. Interesting. You know what Trump was doing today? Speaking to leaders of the world and trying to figure out ways to stop wars. What a terrible person!
Starting point is 00:17:12 And by the way, I've been one of his biggest critics. You know that. But think about it. I was rooting for Biden for four years to do great things, and he let me down. I'm rooting for Trump to do great things, and hopefully we will not be let down. It's just amazing to watch reactions. And by the way, we have four years of Trump, and there was some chaos, but the economy was pretty damn good until COVID,
Starting point is 00:17:55 and I don't remember much in the way of wars. There were some things going on. It wasn't perfect. And boy, we had complaints of him. Next week, I will be contacting the people of Trump, letting them know who I am. I don't think they know who I am. Maybe they do because I'm on Fox just about every day.
Starting point is 00:18:22 And I'm hoping to help out on the economic and market side and the Fed side. maybe they'll tell me to go take a fly maybe they won't even take my phone call i don't know i'm going to try i think i have a lot to offer we'll see don't know anything's possible the hope is pretty simple here ladies and gentlemen lower taxes less regulations get the hell out of the way let the people of this country flourish what a concept I don't think it should take much, should it? I think it's pretty simple, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:19:17 And I do believe they're going to win the House, which means the Trump tax cuts may stay in force. They will not expire. They will vote for them to not expire. Imagine that. You get to keep more of your money. A horrible thing, huh? Terrible.
Starting point is 00:19:40 End of the world. But no, fascist, racist, misogynist, Hitler, Nazis. And they were at it again today. They were at it again. Stunningly so, ladies and gentlemen. There are no mirrors they look into. No introspection. What's going on out there?
Starting point is 00:20:14 They think you're morons. That's what's going on. Do you know many times they use the word uneducated? voter in the last two days? Did you know you were uneducated? Because you voted for Trump? They have a new category. Uneducated voter.
Starting point is 00:20:36 I never heard that before until the last few days. The uneducated, oh, that's right. You didn't go to college. Interesting, huh? All of a sudden, you have to go to college to be educated. I got news for you. I went to college. I played tennis and hung out on Clearwater Beach.
Starting point is 00:20:59 I learned nothing from college. And that's my fault, by the way. That's my one big regret. I would do it all over again. And did you also know that 10 years after I graduated, they told me I didn't graduate, that I was missing a class, and I protested and got nothing done of it.
Starting point is 00:21:25 And I still have to take that class. I went to graduation. I went up there. they announced my name, they shook my hand, they gave me whatever, and then years later, I get told I didn't. So I didn't even graduate. I consider myself pretty smart. We will keep on top of this as we go forward, ladies and gentlemen. That is some of the aftermath.
Starting point is 00:21:59 It's amazing to watch. absolutely amazing to watch the Fed today lowered rates a quarter point I don't give a crap it's not going to produce a job it's not to create any wealth it's going to lower your money market rate and whatever I've never I haven't watched one of his press conferences forever nothing personal I think they do nothing for nobody I don't know why they even exist
Starting point is 00:22:27 the free markets do a hundred times better job than the central bank, and that was that today. Just so you know, the Dow today was down 0.59, not even a point. After being up 1,200 and some odd points or how much was up yesterday? 14? I don't even know. It was a lot. To be flat today is pretty darn good.
Starting point is 00:22:53 I will tell you the financials pulled in today. Goldman Sachs down 14. J.P. Morgan down 11. and that's like down 23 compared to Goldman Sachs. Capital One down six, American Express down eight. The banks pulled in. So they pulled in. The transports were down 250 today, but they were up like 900 yesterday. That said, NASDAQ up 285, NASDAQ 100, 100, up 320.
Starting point is 00:23:27 So money flows there. The semiconductors were up 118. money flowed there. We love those areas. Some of the, well, Netflix up 17, Oracle up five. I'll do the rest in a second. Thanks for being here. I'm Gary. This is the one only investors edge. Starting point is 00:27:21 With Gary Colbomb. It comes highly recommended. You're going to feel better if you talk to him. And welcome once again to Investors Edge. so like today as I said the Dow was flat and financials would I mentioned all that stuff but Tesla was up 8
Starting point is 00:27:51 Netflix up 17 Spotify 8 Costco 14 service now 20 that APP app love it on earnings up 76 freaking dollars Facebook Meadow was up 19 today that was croaking on earnings, held the 50 day and just bounced off of it today, even though it didn't do anything yesterday.
Starting point is 00:28:14 And if that breaks above 603, I'm jumping all over it again after selling it. Good day. China looks like that support is held. Did an Eiffel Tower move, a bunch of the way down, stopped going down, sat around the same price for a bit, jumped up today. though the issue with buying China is overnight. You never know what's going to be next overnight, because you never know what the China government's going to do, but the China government seems to have finally awoken up to, hey, we better be nice to our corporate America or we're screwed.
Starting point is 00:28:59 So China better. Yields came down today. That's good news. Retail stocks had a better day. Oil stocks pulled back a little bit, had a big day yesterday. I'm not so sure I'd be trusting them, but just overall tone pretty good. And when I say Goldman Sachs is down 13, it was up like 60 something yesterday. If it dropped 30 from the up 60, it's still looking pretty decent.
Starting point is 00:29:33 And more than several questions that I got from all of you, can you describe in decent terms why the market would do better? Well, the market did well under Biden. So I don't want to do it that way. I want to describe why fundamentals are better under lower taxes and less regulations. It's pretty simple. Let me simplify it.
Starting point is 00:30:17 if you were at a coffee shop and you were a barista, barista, however they pronounce it, and they have you going through 10 different procedures in order to comply with whatever, whatever, from state or local on how to make coffee or clean things or this and that, and really you're able to do it with five. And you really can do it with five. Let's assume, but they're making you do it with 10, and it takes up an hour extra time and extra dollars to comply. Guess what?
Starting point is 00:31:09 You got it. That in itself is why I've been amazed, and this is what I really abhor about our government. Why can't we just have a simple tax code? I read somewhere, I'll have to look it up again. The cost to comply with our tax code is gargantuan in dollars and time. Why can't it just be, oh, how much did you make? This is the percentage.
Starting point is 00:31:49 You get a mortgage interest deduction. get a charitable deduction, have a great day. No. Instead, I hear there's like including the trials and the rules, there's like 70,000 pages of the tax code. And when I mean trials, they go back and forth on what to do and how to do it and all that. And you get my point.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Why is that? I must tell you, if I was president of the United States, first thing I would jump all. You know it would be my enemy though, you know who would hate me. The accountants, they'd kill me. They would kill me. But think about it. Rules, regulations, mandates, they're okay to have, but not onerous. And if I was president, the tax code would be simplified as all hell. That's it. That's it. So one must ask the question, how did we get to this point. Why is it so complicated? Why do you have to pay this much to an accountant? Because our government sucks. So the rules and regulations part, simplifying just one little thing. The barista or the
Starting point is 00:33:15 restaurants, things like that. And again, don't put me for the person who hates rules and regulations. I'm good with it. We need it. But not too much. Do you know how many different, by the way, go look at different states in California, how many government departments they have and rules and stuff versus a Florida. You'll see a big difference. Go look at how much they charge for gas in California versus here. For instance. So that's number one. And, and And in case you don't know, the Biden administration was very big about rules, regulations, fees, fines, mandates, and all that crap. And then there's lower taxes. You know how they say their fair share?
Starting point is 00:34:10 Well, it's a big, fat, juicy lie. You can look it up yourself. The 1% pays how much of taxes but makes how much of the money. It's gargantuan. The top 10% pays gargantuan amount. of taxes versus the rest. The top 50% pretty much pays all the taxes. So how can they keep saying the fair share? Well, the fair share is that comes out of Marxists. See, Marxists love to control, and they can't control successful people. So they try to castrate successful people. They take out a machete and cut them off at the knees and take out a mallet and bang them over the head. Take as much money as they can. But what does that do?
Starting point is 00:35:00 Well, it puts more money in government's pocket, inefficient and affected, instead of people keeping their hard-earing dollars. So let's talk about a company. Well, what if you raise taxes on them? Well, they have less money that they earned on their business and their risk capital. and what if it's too much? What if I'm a small company with 10 employees? But damn, they want me to pay 30,000 more in taxes. Well, I'm now going to have nine.
Starting point is 00:35:44 And that may be, well, it's only one. Well, then you add it up as you go through the whole food chain. That's the story behind it. And that's really how it works. They mandated. higher, minimum wage, fast food in California. And it is a known fact since a bunch of the restaurants shut down or cut hours or fired people. Why?
Starting point is 00:36:20 Because for every action, there will be some sort of reaction. If you mandate higher cost of businesses and give them no productivity gains out of it, there's going to be a reaction. And the more you do, the worse it is. Just go look at Venezuela. And of course, that's an extreme example. So Trump wants the lower corporate taxes even from here. Harris wanted to raise them big time, though not as big.
Starting point is 00:36:55 She was actually a little less than Joe Biden, you know, who called you garbage. But really didn't, because there's an apostrophe. That's basically the story. And that goes for individuals also. And I hear every now and then from elitist, well, it's only $1,000. You know what I say to them? Up yours. Seriously.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Oh, it's only $800 a year. Up yours. You get my point? Up next, we'll segue back to the markets and whatever else. I'm Gary. Oh, I above the news. This is the one only investor's edge. Hi, I'm Dr. Jake Goodman, host of Beyond the Script,

Starting point is 00:41:06 Action! In the Wester's Edge. With Gary Culper. So, when you hear somebody with $10 million in the bank say, well, they'll only save $800 a year, there really is only one answer, and that's up yours. Excuse the little bit of the French, but that's the way it is. and there are a bunch out there just like that. And excuse this, but when I hear Oprah say,
Starting point is 00:41:35 we're never going to have an election again, up yours. When I hear these celebrities that know nothing about nothing. You know how De Niro and the rest of them come out and tell you they're leaving the country if and this person that? Why don't you ask one of them? By the way, how much debt did they run last year? What's Fed funds rate? What's the 10-year yield at?
Starting point is 00:42:05 Huh? The selling of celebrities to you in order to get you to vote certain way is like the funniest crap I've ever seen. It really is. It really is. God bless them all in their $30 million homes in Montecito, California. I'm not jealous of them. I'm thrilled for them. Just go away.
Starting point is 00:42:31 just go away. At the same time, do you know they find his last name is Bosa, a football player from, I think he was wearing a MAGA shirt. Football find him. Or he went in front of the camera with it.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Interesting, huh? Low taxes, less regulations, fair and efficient rules and regulations, and get the hell out of the way. What a concept. Oh, yeah, and balance the budget.
Starting point is 00:43:22 I kept hearing people today saying it was hard to balance the budget or do anything about it. Bull crap. Year before COVID spent $4.4 trillion this year, $7 trillion. That's $2.6 trillion extra from just five years ago. Let's just cut it in half. $1.3 trillion. Just get rid of it. Get rid of it.
Starting point is 00:43:43 Get rid of it. The economy will catch up to that lower number. and in a couple of years we'll balance the budget or very close to it case close not hard let's go back a couple years of budget i heard another buzzard today and really pissed me off we've got to bring up our military in 2001 or 2002 i think we spent 200 billion a year on military it's like 900 billion this year almost a trillion a year Oh, yeah, let's spend more. Sure. We move on.
Starting point is 00:44:34 Very good action and growth today. Very good action, the semis and tech. Let's hope that continues. That's my wheelhouse. They pulled back the financials. I'm watching them very closely. They just got them too far, too fast, and we'll see where they pull them back to.
Starting point is 00:44:48 Very good reaction to some earnings as I see it, and hopefully more to come. And just, as I said yesterday, a bunch of these areas broke out of range, and if they stick the landing, we're going higher. How long I don't know. Valuations are up there. Still got to worry about the debt. But the market definitely focused on lower taxes, less regulations, which equates to higher profits for business and you, the consumer. That's how it goes.
Starting point is 00:45:24 and I'm going to try and get my two cents in. Next week, I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I will contact the administration and see if anybody thinks highly of me. Not to go work there full time, but be a part of the process. I'm pretty smart. In the news, I had to mention this.
Starting point is 00:45:52 For those of you of age or elderly, Costco, This is what I love about great companies. I've been praising Amazon to you guys about how the costs are so cheap and delivery. Costco has quietly become a major player in the hearing aid market. Competitive prices, flexible return policies, and strong customer service. They now rank as the second largest hearing aid provider in the U.S., trailing only the Department of Veterans Affairs. They have 600 of his locations hearing centers across the U.S.
Starting point is 00:46:33 The success lies in its ability to keep prices low while maintaining a shopping experience free from any high-pressure sales tactics. Get this. But you didn't know this. Hearing aids at Costco start around 1,500 per pair, significantly cheaper than the usual 3,500 to 7,000 typically charged at clinics. There's also a generous 180-day return policy and free follow-up services such as cleanings or without the pressure of commission-based sales. The service also offers hearing aid warranties of three years, follow-up appointments, device and checkups, not to mention hearing tests.
Starting point is 00:47:22 Wow. I bet a lot of you with hearing aids did not know that. And by the way, I'm not getting paid to say this. they don't know I'm saying it I was just reading this because my mom needs a hearing aid and my brother keeps saying it's $5,000 well
Starting point is 00:47:39 I'm heading over to Costco this weekend see what they have to say well done Costco I love that in the news hey a University of Oregon something about the water in Oregon
Starting point is 00:47:58 a University of Oregon staffer tells Trump voters to kill themselves, that Trump voters should commit suicide based on their votes, that he's done crying, just go kill yourself. Hey, in the news, MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell blames white men for the crushing defeat because they do not yet believe in the full equality of women. Don't you love these people? The generalizations, don't you just love them?
Starting point is 00:48:32 it never ends. On that note, we'll close it out. Good day in the market. Hopefully a better day tomorrow. Hopefully this move doesn't fail. And that's all. I think I'll be on with Neil Kavuta tomorrow, noon hour. Check it out, Fox Business Network.
Starting point is 00:48:50 And until then, you have a great evening. Drive carefully. And when you get home, do like we do, quite simple. Make sure you hug your family. Make sure you hug your children. They will feel better. You will feel better. I promise stay well, be well.
