Starting point is 00:00:00 The worst part about loving cars might just be buying them and all the parts. But on eBay, behind every car in part is a story waiting to be shared. There was a guy who bought a 2021 Porsche Cayman that was well loved. I mean, there are plenty of Cayman's in great condition on eBay. But this one needed some work. This guy buys it and rebuilds the whole thing, all with parts he found on eBay. And now, that nearly scrapped Cayman is out tearing up the track. From Toyotas to Aston Martins, eBay has thousands of cars and the largest online selection of vehicle parts and accessories.
Starting point is 00:00:35 eBay, things people love. Investors Edge with Gary Cultbaum, straight talk about you and your money. Now from the BizTalk Studios, here is Gary Cultbaum. And welcome once again to Investors Edge. I'm Gary Coltbaum, your host. A thanks of being with us today. Glad you here, ladies and gentlemen, happy that you are listening. It's Friday, June 9th, 2020.
Starting point is 00:01:00 I hope you're having a good day. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to go through a little dissertation, diatribe, whatever you want to call it, and I promise you at the end, it will circle all the way back to you, our future, your jobs,
Starting point is 00:01:20 the economy, your money, and everything else under the sun. So let me start out by saying, on Monday, I told you that ex-president Donald Trump was going to be indicted. I had no information whatsoever, but I know how things work. And one of the things that work, I'm pretty good at identifying important leaks.
Starting point is 00:01:48 From certain places, Donald Trump was just indicted. 38 counts. this, that, and the other thing, and that's not belittling it. I'm just going to do the quick draw on this. Let me first start by saying, none of the people you're hearing from care about you. None of those people care a wit about you. For all they care about you, they'll shoot the middle finger at you,
Starting point is 00:02:24 and that's the end of that. You know what I mean by that. The sides. as I have told you and I meant it and I mean it I can't stand any of them I do not like what we call the tank what's the tank very simply
Starting point is 00:02:43 one side of the aisle see somebody on the other side of aisle doing something bad and they rip the stuffings out of them do everything against them but if somebody on that first side of the aisle has somebody on their side of the aisle do things bad, it's covered up. The same goes for the other side.
Starting point is 00:03:05 When their side does something bad, it's covered up. When the other side, they rip them to shreds. They don't care about truth. They just care about protecting their sides. That's it. That's all. If you don't know that by now, I can't help you. If you don't know by now that there are people out there
Starting point is 00:03:28 that I have respected so much in the past that are presented in front of you that have absolutely sold their souls to their side and I mean both sides here it's really now a running joke it's a comedy act of course we're the victims
Starting point is 00:03:51 so now one side is telling you the country is destroyed because ex-president Trump has been indicted I'm here to tell you the country is not destroyed. Remember our motto here. I've never been more optimistic on most of us. I've never been more pessimistic on all of them. They're telling us they can control the weather and the fires and the tornadoes and the hurricanes. They're telling us that. They're letting criminals out and screwing ordinary citizens. They're legalizing marijuana. They're legalizing marijuana.
Starting point is 00:04:40 and drugs. And after the fact, now we're finding out how bad marijuana is when they want to get rid of nicotine. They hand over $380 billion of our tax dollars to one man to dole out on climate, and it's all gone to buddies. The list can go on and on. We're just in the grandstands on the outside looking in at them. And for Donald Trump, he didn't listen to me. He didn't listen to his advisor. He didn't listen to his lawyers.
Starting point is 00:05:30 They handed everything to Trump in verbiage. You can't do this. Stop it. Fix it. Shut up. To this minute, Donald Trump is calling this special counsel guy a deranged psycho, like a 14-year-old. And he thinks that's going to help his cause.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Donald Trump handed it to them on a situation. silver platter, knowing they can't stand them, knowing they're looking over him. And he handed him on a silver platter. They got him on video contradicting what he said under oath. They got pictures contradicting what he said. One of his lackeys has also been indicted also for moving things. he handed it to them yet people on that side are out defending him when it's straightforward
Starting point is 00:06:43 let me get to my point before you Trumpians get mad at me he let them and guess what they did they took advantage of him he's earned it that's the problem he put them in this position
Starting point is 00:07:14 to do this. They're coming out with some sort of weird defense of unequal justice. I can promise you in court there's not going to be anything about unequal justice. It's just going to be about what they say he did,
Starting point is 00:07:43 which takes me to unequal justice. Of course there is. Part of, I've never been more optimistic on most of us, but totally pessimistic on all of them. Hillary Clinton destroyed 30,000 emails, found classified info, found service in the house, destroyed things that were under subpoena, and not a freaking thing was done to her. Not a freaking thing.
Starting point is 00:08:17 There you're good. There's definite unequal justice. Again, the tank. You think the tank is just people going on TV and taking their sides? It's in the halls of our Justice Department. I will promise you if this was somebody on the left, it would not have even been investigated. How do we know this?
Starting point is 00:08:53 They have Joe Biden dead to rights right now on so much freaking corruption, and they ain't doing squat. They have so much on his corruption with his son and money changing hands. It would dead to rights. And they ain't going to do squat. Unequal justice. Welcome to our world now.
Starting point is 00:09:21 And you know what's going to happen? If ever the Republicans get the House, Senate, in the White House, the Democrats better all retire because they're going to be come after for their corruption. And let me be clear, there is so much insider trading going on by these politicians on both sides of the aisle. Martha Stewart went to jail. What they're doing insider trading in D.C., made what Martha Stewart a drop in the bucket.
Starting point is 00:09:52 It's a cesspool. But the problem is onefold. ex-president Trump, let this happen. He was warned. He was forewarned. He was afterwarned. During his presidency, I was sending emails to people I know there. Can you tamp it down?
Starting point is 00:10:11 Can he at least fake it? Get him in acting class. Get him into acting class to come out and be a little bit less. But no, he never listened. And that means when you think you're omnipotent, When you have such a big ego, you lived your whole life in the stars. You think you can get away with anything, and he let this happen. And unfortunately, the tank is happening again.
Starting point is 00:10:42 I will tell you the left is wetting their pants right now. The right is making every excuse for him. I went through this indictment. I went through the pictures. I hear what's on the video. He's in trouble. And you could take it for what it's worth, and you can love him or hate him. him, I deal in facts here.
Starting point is 00:11:03 I am in nobody's tank. I got rid of a long time ago. Up next, we'll put the bow tie on. I promise you, it'll come back to you. This is the one only Investor's Edge. Hi, I'm Dr. Jake Goodman, host of Beyond the Script, the podcast where I sit down with pharmacists to answer the health questions you didn't even know you could ask at the pharmacy counter. In this episode, we are diving into gut health with CVS pharmacist Victoria Motola, who explains why so many of us live with stomach issues we should not accept as normal.
Starting point is 00:13:05 A lot of what I see is just like chronic bloating, chronic stomach aches. Like I get a stomach ache every time that I eat and it just becomes like a lifestyle where, oh, yeah, you know, I just have a stomachache every day. Or I'm constantly feeling like gassy. and all of those things are not something that generally, if you have a healthy gut, you should be living with. So that's when we deep dive. We deep dive into your medication. We deep dive into your OTC medication. And then at that point, we can probably identify something that we can change.
Starting point is 00:13:36 Hear the full conversation, plus some fascinating facts about how gut health affects so much more than just your stomach on Beyond the Script, a podcast from CVS Pharmacy and IHeart Radio. Listen now wherever you get your podcasts. With the Venmo debit card, a taco in one hand, and ordering a ride in the other, means you're stacking your rewards. Nice. Starting point is 00:14:29 Hey, this promises to be fun. Investors Edge. The last bastion of quality programming. With Gary Coltbaum. It doesn't get better than this. So I promised you it would all come back to you. And me and your family. And the future.
Starting point is 00:15:00 And let me repeat and put the bow tie on it first. If a Democrat did this with a Democrat administration, not only would not be indictments, there would not be any investigation. If a Republican administration saw a Republican do it, there would be no investigation. That's what it's come to. But most people are smart enough in D.C. Not to shoot the middle finger at people.
Starting point is 00:15:35 Not to curse them out on a daily basis. And then not to do stupid. in case you don't know, they went to him a dozen times, and they have him point blank under oath, lying about what he had and what he didn't have. They have him now on video talking top secret stuff to somebody from their pack. You can't do that. He didn't listen. He doesn't listen.
Starting point is 00:16:19 and he's in the soup now. It's amazing. The first thing you teach your kids, hey, you're going to screw up in life. You've got to look at yourself when you screw up and make sure you don't do it again. You've got to be introspective in life. You got to make sure you don't put yourself out there to be in trouble. Nobody sat this man down, and if they did, he didn't listen. But what do I want to bring this back to? I don't want you to forget something. The government just stole another $2 trillion a year out of the economy, which is us, and put into their hands. That's going to be the most important part of the equation as we move forward.
Starting point is 00:17:26 Federal spending the year before COVID was $4.4 trillion. It's going to be mid-sixes now. and that whole move up is going to be debt. That is the greatest redistribution of wealth. You know how they talk about redistributing wealth? That's the greatest redistribution of wealth from the economy, you and I into the coffers of these sleazy, slimy, greasy, grimy people.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Most of them have never ever waited a table, bust a table, wrote out a check. they've been in that place called DC forever. A lot of them are lifers. And the next person replace them is worse than the first. You do know that's now out of the news. Not to be talked about again. Until the $32 trillion in two years is going to be $36.
Starting point is 00:18:27 And then they've got to do it again. And then they get the corrupt economists and rating services and screwball Treasury secretaries to come out and say, oh, we need to braise more debt again. While all this is going on, and the more that screw the markets for a second that are acting pretty well, oh, by the way, part of that is all that government.
Starting point is 00:18:58 Under the great scam, the great con, that we just went through, it's now already out of the news, it's already off the table. Our government is now growing in the same, $36 trillion a year in their little kitty. And when I say it's a little kitty, it is their kitty. Joe Biden handed over $360, 70, $80 billion to John Podesta, a longtime Democratic
Starting point is 00:19:24 hack for climate. What do you think that money's going to? What is he going to do with the climate? It's going to be given out his grants to a bunch of, gee whiz, the state of Delaware has probably got a lot of corporations being open right now, startups. And we're getting screwed. You know what it's not going to? It's not going to go to the homeless.
Starting point is 00:19:46 It's not going to go to the infirm. It's not going to go to the children, the at-risk children that need food. It's not going to be the streets, roads, bridges. No, it's the giveaways. So we're just letting you know, while all this is going on, everybody's going to curse each other out again. Follow the money. We ain't screwing around here, kids.
Starting point is 00:20:20 We ain't screwing around. get out of the tank and when you listen to Joe Blow on both sides of the aisle today and tonight and tomorrow and over the weekend they're all full of crap if it was their side getting indicted it's no good it's a con
Starting point is 00:20:42 if it's the other side getting indicted yeah they're guilty and vice versa they don't care about you and now the most important part is now dead and buried they just didn't increase the side of their wallets 50% from the year before COVID. And it's out of the news.
Starting point is 00:21:14 And I must tell you, I wish Trump did learn his lessons. He didn't. And in case you don't know, and you may believe me or not, this is some serious blankety-blank, blank, federal crimes. That's my take. Don't hate me. And by the way, I'm still waiting to have an audit of the Clinton Foundation in 2014 when they took out in $100 million and only $4 million was spent on charities and stuff. There has never been a more corrupt human beings in our lifetime than Clinton and Clinton.
Starting point is 00:22:11 You see anything ever happened to them? nothing not a squat Biden Hunter they blacked out Hunter Biden stories before the election against Trump Facebook and Twitter would not let you talk about it what you think
Starting point is 00:22:36 there isn't a game on this is what we got but Donald Trump led him it's going to be an interesting next months, ladies and gentlemen, we'll keep you up to date. Just do not forget the big picture. Work your ass off. Be great. Become the go-to person at your company. Upward mobility. Up next, market wrap. This is the one only investors edge. Starting point is 00:26:29 I don't care what you do in your life that is going to be a necessity as we move forward please remember that back's feeling better today my only issue I'm worried that the only reason it is is because I'm taking these steroids
Starting point is 00:26:58 but you know I'm weaning down and still feeling pretty decent. I've had no major sharp pains today. Not once. I had one yesterday. So maybe this crap is going away. The doctors have been trying to tell me, yeah, it'll go away. It's the inflammation. It's the nerve. Once the inflammation is down, well, we'll see. I just got to tell you, I love what I do for a living. I love what I do. I don't think it's work. I'm so happy. It's the weekend. That's all I can tell you. I am happy it's the weekend. Starting point is 00:27:42 All right. The market wrap brought to you by Investment-dashmodels.com. That's Jim Rohraback, one of the great market timers. No gray areas at the man you're either in or out of the market with his proprietary indicators. Go check it out. Investment-models.com. Since this is the week in review edition of Investors' Edge, Let's start with the week. The Dow on the week, only up 0.34% on the week. The S&P 500, 0.39%. Interesting enough, and I think, hmm, the NASDAQ this week was only up 0.14% on the week.
Starting point is 00:28:27 Ooh, that's a little surprising. The NASDAQ 100 was actually, am I correct on this? NASDAQ 100 was down this week. Wow. Because there was a lot of fireworks. The Russell 2000 was up, though, 1.9% as the broad market got better. On the day, doubt 43. But let me see the high of the Dow today.
Starting point is 00:29:02 33975 was up 141. finished up 43. The S&P 500 was up 4.93 today. Was up at one time today. Ooh, 43, 22, was up 27. The NASDAQ, well, they had that thing running again on the open today. They had as high as 13385. It was up 1446, finished only up 20. The NASDAQ, the NASDAQ 100. on the day, hit a high today of 14672, was up 187, finished only up 43. So for today has nothing to do with Monday. They distributed a very hot open on the markets. That's all. No biggie. That's what we'll say.
Starting point is 00:30:09 what started out with Tesla they had this agreement with General Motors in case you don't know all the General Motors cars can be able to use the Tesla superchargers and it got Tesla going Tesla finished up another 10 today at the high today
Starting point is 00:30:26 Tesla hit two it was about 8 it was up about 17 finished up 9.5 Netflix somebody came out and announced the fact that they're getting more subscribers because they cut the court on you allowing everybody in the world to use your password.
Starting point is 00:30:46 Netflix hit, it was up 17, finished up 10. And of course, these names are of import. Adobe, we mentioned yesterday how they did this Adobe conference, and they basically, they might as well have stood up there and did this in the conference. You ready? Artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence.
Starting point is 00:31:08 artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence. Hey, so what do you think of the football season? Artificial intelligence. Anyway, it was up 21 yesterday, got an upgrade today. Was up 22, finishes up 15. But a lot of things were up much better. They distributed.
Starting point is 00:31:28 I call it no biggie. But the market for me, let me go back to 1999 and me. when all was said and done I ended up and 1999 was an anomaly but as the markets got stronger I narrowed it down and I ended up at the end of the road
Starting point is 00:31:53 with Nortel Alucent before that I owned EMC America Online I'm trying to think what else Boy, it's a long time. I made three-fold on PMCC era, four-fold on Oracle at the time.
Starting point is 00:32:18 And I did not have to buy a crap load of things. I have been able to, what I believe to be, if this thing keeps going, narrowed it down to, I won't call it a select few because there's more than a select few, but it's been getting narrowed down in the last week. and we'll see how it goes. How's that to explain something? The broad market today, not as good. In fact, the Russell was down at three quarters of percent.
Starting point is 00:32:53 The transport's down 157. And to be blunt, a ton of stuff which woke up in the last week is still not in bull mode. They just woke up. And we'll see where it goes. The transports hit a low of 13-6-47 six days ago. It's 14-2. Off 157 today. So normal to pull back after that type of move in six days.
Starting point is 00:33:30 So we'll stay on it. I've been watching, you know, there's... We'll stay on it. We are price conscience. We are pattern conscience. We are protection of capital conscience. And I'll be spending the weekend just as much on what isn't as what is. And I think it's going to get much easier to decipher big leading stocks versus not so big leading as we move forward.
Starting point is 00:34:06 So stay in gear. No promises, but we're going to be working our tail off. Because I have some friends that are pretty good at this that think we may have an unbelievable next year or two. I don't buy into that because you know my line. I don't know what I'm having for dinner tonight. But they have studied bull and bare markets and how they start and this and that. And they believe that this is something of note. well if it is
Starting point is 00:34:39 guess what has to happen price has to keep going and leadership has to keep going and names have to keep going and you know the talk of nVIDia going to 600 well it's going to first have to get through the big 400 number get my point
Starting point is 00:34:58 it's 387 then it has to get through the reversal of last Tuesday where it hit 420 closed at 400 You get where I'm going with this? We let the market dictate. We don't inject our thoughts into things. And they don't do it either.
Starting point is 00:35:17 They're just outlining. And by the way, there's some pretty smart people. I'm not going to name names. We're just letting you know we don't take that attack. If NVIDIA gets to 400, check. Break through the resistance of the reversal. Check. And so on and so forth.
Starting point is 00:35:35 And that's just naming one name. Got it? Up next, whatever else. This is the one only investors' edge. Hi, I'm Dr. Jake Goodman, host of Beyond the script, the podcast where I sit down with pharmacists to answer the health questions you didn't even know you could ask at the pharmacy counter.

Starting point is 00:38:20 Learn more at Viz.com. You're listening to What are we waiting for? What are you waiting for? One, two, ready, go. Investors Edge with Gary Culper. And welcome once again to Investors Edge.
Starting point is 00:38:50 Just remember, we are on the same side against all of them. And there's this two-party thing that have created this monster that a third party never can get going. They're dead if a third party can never get going. A sane third party who believes in really we the people.
Starting point is 00:39:18 An efficient, effective government with accountability. And there is zero. Zero accountability. Zero. Less than zero. And two trillion a year more. By the way, this is every year going forward, because it's going to keep increasing,
Starting point is 00:39:41 was just thefted, thieved from the economy. And where do you think that money comes from? Our asses or more debt? In each case, not good. By the way, one other than, I'm done. We'll stop with Trump for the day. Okay, so I just mentioned NVIDIA. That's how we're going to be working this. We have narrowed down names, and what we're always looking for is a place where they show their strength. We know their leadership. And if we're not in, we figure out specific areas that we call them by points. one of the buy points are on pullbacks to important what we call moving averages and not to be too technical and moving averages can be we look at the 50 day moving average is the most important all that is is price you add up the last 50 days closing divide by 50 and it gets smoothed out bull markets contain price on pullbacks to the 50 day moving average and often you can buy
Starting point is 00:41:13 right off of them. Then there's what we call the resistance, the ceiling. And all that simply is an identifiable area, just an identifiable area where price cannot get through on the upside for any amount of time and then finally gets through. Simplistic as that. In order to go higher, you have to move higher. And right now, There's a bunch of names that are showing great leaderships, number one, move too quickly off of this AI stuff, as well earnings, which NVIDIA was on a gap. And what they have done since is stopped. Ain't going higher, but they're not going lower. And now they're starting to define the other side, the support level.
Starting point is 00:42:24 and that's an area just like we said resistance is where you go to a certain price and can't get above it and can't get above it and pull back and can't get above it and pull back and can't get above it and then finally you do the other side is the opposite it's where you retest a level and you can't get below it and every time you hit that level you hold and then you can draw a line Hey, look at that. Every time it hits that level it holds. But every time it hits the level on the upside, it stops. And then it bounces back and forth, back and forth, back and forth,
Starting point is 00:43:08 until it shows its next move. If it breaks below, you know something's going on. And if it breaks below with, let's say, 15 others in the group, you know something's really going on. If it breaks above, that's good. And if there's 15 others in the group breaking above, that's good. And by the way, that's why we watch ETFs. Why?
Starting point is 00:43:36 Because they contain a bunch of names. And that's what we're going to be looking for in the weeks and months ahead. And we're able to really narrow down. I'm going to give you one little example. In the big financials, J.P. Morgan, head and shoulders above everybody. Why do we know this? Because if you just take a picture of it, you can see it's within three points of its yearly high.
Starting point is 00:44:09 while others aren't even close. And let's lose percentage. It's 2%. Others are 10, 15, 20%. So if the financials decide to keep getting some legs to the upside, what do you want to own? You want to own the strength.
Starting point is 00:44:28 And of course, it's a very liquid name. Now, it may not move as quick as others because it's much bigger, but what would you rather be in? And we measured it as it goes. So we know J.P. Morgan, it hit 143.49. It hit 144.34.34.34.04. And then you had the crash.
Starting point is 00:44:52 And then it came right back to 143.37. And right now it's sitting at 14101. So what happens if it breaks through that same area that's been going on for six months? There's your big technical breakout. And that would probably mean the financials are going to get more legs. that's what we're going to be doing going forward. That's how we're doing things. And we are laser-focused on this leadership.
Starting point is 00:45:25 But we're also laser-focused on quality. There's a lot of hunks of junk going up on this AI thing. And there we have to be a little more careful, a little more judicious. Because remember, when all is said and done, eventually valuation will matter. So stay in touch. That all said, I'm whooped.
Starting point is 00:46:00 You'll have a great weekend. Drive carefully. Monday I'll be on with Charles Payne 2 p.m. Fox Business Network. I'm off this weekend while you're at it. Make sure you hug your family. Make sure you hug your children. They will feel better. You will feel better.
