Straight talk about you and your money.
Now from the BizTalk Studios, here is Gary Kaltbaum.
And welcome once again to Investors Edge.
I'm Gary Kaltbaum, your host day.
Thanks for being with us today.
Glad you here, ladies and gentlemen, happy that you are listening.
It's Friday, March 15th, 2024.
It's weekend time.
Hope you having a good day.
Hope you have a good weekend.
a few little things to cover today.
Hope you are listening.
But first, if you do not get this radio show in your city,
we'll post it at garyk.com.
We'll also post it on our Twitter feed.
And if you don't follow us on Twitter,
which is now X, you can just put our name in and follow us.
You may email us, just be nice.
I do want to let you know before I forget.
This coming Wednesday at 1130 to noon,
the money show people invited me to do a virtual,
30 minutes and we're going to show you our faves.
So go to garyk.com.
We put the link there or the Twitter feed.
We put the link there and sign up.
And I do believe you'll be able to watch it later in the day or whenever.
Again, that will be on Wednesday, 1130 to noon.
And basically we're going to do a half hour of what we see and what we like and what we dislike.
Okay.
And next, this is a show.
that never mixed politicians and the business world and markets.
We never used to.
This is a show that pretty much would come on and talk about the markets.
And then something happened.
We realized the people that became the leaders of this country
were as sleazy, slimy, scummy, corrupt as can be.
using us as a slush fund.
And year after year, it's gotten worse.
And I've been warning for a very long time.
And every now and then, I will get, well, I thought you said things would blow up.
Well, they did in 2008, and then they had to print a crap load of money and take $800 billion out of our pocket.
Remember that?
And then they printed a ton of money.
and then in 19 and 20 they printed to $9 trillion and took rates to 0%.
And since the year 2000, they have overspent $30 trillion more than they were supposed to.
Really?
Really?
So this is a show about the markets and economy and the meeting of the markets and
economy on the people that are run in this country, we believe into the ground as we become a
bigger slush fund by the day. Now, as you know, I have been saying seriously on the show,
it is nauseating for me to think of who we have to elect these one out of two people coming in
November. And I have said it's like the Ebola virus versus the bubonic plague. But I have to get a
little bit more serious today and not even label it, but discuss it. Because you know what I think of
both of them. And I will tell you flat out, I will never endorse either as president, ever. But
something happened in the last day that threw something over the top for me and take it for
what it's worth, I will make a blanket statement, whether it's meaningful to you or not.
Joe Biden cannot be the president the next four years. This man has to lose the election,
and I say that knowing the alternative. We have listed many an issue with this man.
the lies.
We have used the terminology.
We've actually stated
that this man took the championship belt
on lying away from the last guy
and that's the highest bar to get over.
And it's daily lies.
And the only reason they're not louder
is because the media
remains another corrupt institution
that would list every one of the
last president's lies, but not a one of this president's lies.
They don't even cover the border, and when they do, they never mention the president.
But that's another day.
We can start with, I lowered the debt and deficits in spending, which is just sickening.
I'm very careful with my words.
I don't believe in hyperbole, but he's sickening.
disgusting
with these lies
says he cut
child poverty in half because of a tax credit
sickening disgusting
lies
trying to raise spending going forward
on this country
to where we're going to have
easily two trillion a year in deficits
each year and has the grapefruit
to look into the camera and has
as economic people look in the camera and say,
we're cutting the deficit three trillion over the next 10 years.
Sickening, disgusting.
Afghanistan.
Have you noticed the media not discussing how the Afghan women's
are back in the dark ages now?
There's no discussion of that anymore.
Is it?
Or was there even a bit of it?
Horrible foreign policy.
The giveaways, which again is our money.
It's not his.
They keep saying, we are, we are, no, we are, the American public are giving it away.
And as we've said to you, we've said to you, he couldn't get it done if you would go to your bank account today,
online and see a deduction of 200 bucks and next to it say for student loan.
And then you call them up and say, oh, it's not for your student loan.
It's for somebody else's.
He couldn't do that, but that's what's going on.
It's coming out of all of our hides.
The giveaways, I can continue with so many other things.
But something happened today in the last day, near and dear to my heart.
That just adds to everything else, not by itself, but adds to everything else.
As you know, Israel was attacked.
Women were raped by many men and then shot in the head dead while being raped and laughed at and videotaped and sent to families.
Things were put inside them.
People were blown up, shot, burned to death.
Twelve to thirteen hundred of them.
They kept a bunch of hostages.
where some of them have already been murdered.
They're hiding amongst the people there.
We have found artillery and tunnels all across the land there,
hidden in schools, hospitals,
underneath schools, hospitals everywhere.
And Israel decided we're taking them out.
That's all. We're taking them out.
And every day the media quotes, get this.
The Hamas Health Ministry on how many people are dead there.
Yes, the Hamas health ministry, the people that did all this heinous crap.
I'm getting to my point.
Slowly, Israel has to defend themselves and make sure they can never get through again.
Hamas has stated their goal is to murder every year.
drew around the world and take over Israel and they will never ever stop at doing it.
Hmm.
What should Israel do?
Interesting.
Imagine if bombs and missiles were being sent over from Virginia into Washington, D.C.
into the White House.
What would they do?
Interesting, huh?
Just a little food for thought.
Up next.
the over the top.
And then the markets,
which are getting into trouble.
This is the one only Investor's Edge.

Hi, I'm Dr. Jake Goodman, host of Beyond the Script,
the podcast where I sit down with pharmacists to answer the health questions
you didn't even know you could ask at the pharmacy counter.
In this episode, we are diving into gut health with CVS pharmacist Victoria Motola,
who explains why so many of us live with stomach issues,
we should not accept as normal.
A lot of what I see is just like chronic bloating, chronic stomach aches.
Like I get a stomachache every time that I eat.
And it just becomes like a lifestyle where, oh, yeah, you know, I just have a stomach
ache every day.
Or I'm constantly feeling like gassy.
And all of those things are not something that generally, if you have a healthy gut, you
should be living with.
So that's when we deep dive.
We deep dive into your medication.
We deep dive into your OTC medication.
And then at that point, we can put it.
probably identify something that we can change.
Hear the full conversation, plus some fascinating facts about how gut health affects so much more than just your stomach on Beyond the Script, a podcast from CVS Pharmacy and IHeartRadio.

You're listening to.
Hey, this promises to be fun.
Investors Edge.
The last bastion of quality programming.
With Gary Coltbaum.
It doesn't get better than this.
So on purpose, on purpose in the recent past,
the Muslim community in very important states for the election, like Michigan,
has turned against President Biden.
They want to cease fire.
And we're not going to sit here and address the Muslim community
and what they think and how they think,
because I don't know any of them personally.
And I would be in hopes they are not backers of Hamas and the terrorists,
but care about Palestinians.
I will not comment on that.
Israel is a free society.
There are more Arabs there than you.
You can count more Muslims than you can count.
As I have told you, I've been there quite to quite,
and they are Jews, Christians, Muslims, living, working, playing together on a daily basis.
Peace on the land, throughout the land.
Every race, creed, color, gendered, denomination is free to be who they want to be,
whatever they want to be.
If you are gay and you will live in Gaza, they will hang you by your toes.
But in Israel, they will not.
The true story is Israel left Gaza.
Oh, about 17, 18, 19 years ago, they have not occupied a single piece of land there.
Hamas has.
Hamas has stolen every freaking dime coming through where four people are worth billions of dollars.
They plundered the whole place, left the whole area a lot in shambles.
While raining missiles onto Israel, I was there.
when I was there the first time, we had to go into bomb shelters, I think, six or seven times
within 10 days.
I have a picture of one being taken out by the Iron Dome over my head.
Imagine if you lived under that.
Interesting.
So, fast forward, these pieces of crap running this country right now, and I'm being kind,
know they have big problems about the election.
I think they realize Trump is not going to be taken out by any convictions.
and they're losing a lot of the black and Hispanic vote,
which is a death knell for them in the first place.
But if they lose Michigan, it's the big uh-oh.
Go look up how many electoral votes.
During the primaries, there were a bunch of uncommitted people,
even though there was nobody running against.
What do they do?
Chuck Schumer, another piece of crap,
went out and went against his whole religion.
Oh, yeah.
He went against Israel.
He went against the president and tried to give himself cover by only mentioning Benjamin Netanyahu.
But he forgot a few things.
He's calling for elections in another democratic state.
We need elections.
We need to take this man out.
Benjamin Netanyahu, we need to take him out.
Really?
Really.
Really? That's what they're calling for. Interesting. Interesting.
You know what I did not hear from Chuck Schumer? He's basing, getting rid of him based on Israel's doing the wrong thing in Gaza.
That's what it's based on. That's what it's based on.
So go after the Prime Minister of Israel.
What I did not hear Chuck Schumer say is they need better elections in Russia where Putin's going to be there for life.
Or better elections in China, where Xi has solidified his power forever.
Or elections in North Korea where that thug is going to be there for life.
Or Venezuela, where Maduro is taken over and anybody who runs against him gets jailed.
I did not hear Schumer ask for different elections in Cuba or Syria or Nigeria or Sudan or Haiti.
You see what the hell is going on in Haiti?
They're murdering people and eating them.
You think I'm kidding?
We didn't hear Schumer do that.
So what they did is they sent out a Jewish man to do Biden's bidding.
for new elections in a democratic state that's defending their country against a bunch of subhuman animals,
is there no depths of hell that Biden and Schumer would go into?
Biden was finally asked about and said, oh, I like the speech.
All this is part of everything.
The border, what they're doing there, there's no country without a border.
What I explained to about the homeless man that I bought food for because New York ain't doing squat for him,
but they're giving tons of money to migrants.
Joe Biden, the deficits beyond the freaking beyond, the control and the rules and regulations and the fees and fines and mandates,
a girl was murdered by a migrant.
It took him three days to finally say something after he caught hell.
And now this, I don't know who's worse. Schumer for doing it or Biden for wanting him to do it or making him do it. That was all that happened here. And they purposely put out a Jewish man to do this. They can both rot. And this is a culmination of everything I just went over.
culmination of the depths of hell they will go into.
And I say this knowing who the opposition for president is.
Thus my...
But Joe Biden's had his four years.
And he's a nightmare.
Maybe the other guy will turn over a new leaf if he wins.
That's my take.
I get riled up by just a couple of things.
every now and then. This one riled me up. This was done on purpose and for one reason, votes.
And they put a beloved country of mine, a wonderful place on this earth, a sliver of land,
a sliver of land in the Middle East that has done marvelous things for their people and the
world. These two men can rot.
and I will celebrate if they are ever out of power.
And I say it again knowing who the opposition is.
Next week, we'll have more.
Up next.
The markets.
Thanks for your indulgence.
This is the one only investor's edge.

highly recommended. You're going to feel better if you talk to him.
And I do believe if the election was held today that the big guy would be out.
And I will celebrate. And I was on TV yesterday's stating, I am hoping the Republicans grow a pair and stop this embarrassment, corrupt budget that they're trying to put out.
Hey, the markets. So let me just be clear and concise to you. When we tell you, we scan 1,500 to 2,000 names a night. We are not whistling Dixie. We do that. When we tell you, we scan 200 sectors. We're not kidding. And countries. We're not kidding. And commodities. We're not kidding. And what we are always looking for is anything changing. Is anything changing? Is anything changing?
Is anything moving the wrong way?
Is anything emerging?
That's what we're constantly doing.
That's what we constantly want to know.
And part of that is our process of when we're wrong, we're wrong fast and small.
When we're right, we try to let them run.
We stopped out of Microsoft today after buying some yesterday.
Small position, lost a percent.
we stopped at a black rock with a percent in the last week.
But you know how much we made on plenty of other things.
And we made good cheese on Microsoft the first go round.
By Microsoft, Adobe announces earnings drops 80 bucks.
They get all the software stocks.
We're just letting you know a few things.
A, we've had emergence in the oil.
oils. And oils again had a decent day, even though oil prices were down. That is a change of
complexion from us telling you to avoid, to us telling you it broke above the 50-day getting
better, and actually some names in New High Ground, a lot not even close, so there's a big separation
of strength. We mentioned copper emerging.
gold on the breakout what do they all have in common commodities so all of a sudden commodities
emerging that's the thought process what else have we've been telling you the Dow S&P and the
NASDAQ for lack of a better word just floating along and what we mean by that is just
strumming along, along a trend line, along moving averages, to the point where I've been able to say,
I haven't even to worry about it.
One day we will, but we haven't had to.
What's another thought?
The small caps.
Oh, they've teased a couple of times finally breaking out, but they just can't get going.
They just tuck their head in like a frightened turtle again in the last couple of days.
The small caps.
one day they will lead again.
Ain't happening yet.
What else?
Well, I believe it was on February 20th and then more on March 5th,
worry about software stocks.
And they bounced them a little bit.
Well, they may have put the fork in finally today
with the little failure on Microsoft,
but more important, as we said, Adobe.
with a huge gap down, and other names.
And I need to get into every name,
but I can throw you something like a service now,
which breaks the 50 day today, and a bunch of others.
And then there's what we call distribution.
The NASDAQ now, after today,
has a good amount of what we call heavier selling
over the past couple of weeks.
And at the close today,
the NASDAQ finished a little bit below that little trend line 21-day moving average,
not the end of the world.
But we're letting you know, and we started doing this two weeks ago,
oh, more and more names are going by the wayside.
What do we mean by that?
They're breaking down.
Breaking trend lines, breaking support, breaking whatever,
gaping down on earnings, the latest today.
Not necessarily software, but Jable Circuit.
Used to be called Jable circuits.
Now Jable.
Croke today.
16% broke everything, volume heavy.
Just the name.
Zillow.
You know what they do, right, with the real estate data.
Just croaked today, broke down.
Good night out of here.
Your history, gone.
We mentioned Adobe.
Groupon today.
Just throwing a few.
Total breakdown today.
Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye.
You get my point?
We're able to tell you about a lot more names
and when we do our webcasts for ourselves and our peeps.
More and more.
Snowflake.
Gaps down, breaks down, keeps going lower.
Trade desk, Twilio.
Palo Alto Networks, everybody's favorite.
Bye-bye.
Snapchat.
So we're just letting you know underneath the surface.
It's getting icky.
And by the way, we had yesterday a good end.
to the day even though we were down, but advanced decline stunk. Today we had a bad day for the
indices, but advanced declines were kind of up a little bit on the day. Go figure. But again,
more new yearly lows than yearly highs on the NASDAQ. You're kidding. So the Dow was down 190,
S&P 33, NASDAQ 155, NASDAQ 100206, transports 109. We mentioned the transports yesterday,
possibly topping out for now. The death net.
Well, not necessarily, but you can go look at a chart of the transports and you can see
which trading very flat for a few weeks and broke under it.
Not a good thing.
So we're just letting you know a little bit ice thinner.
If it worsens, we'll let you know.
I can tell you some of the big banks still act okay.
No issues there.
There's a bunch of names that are still on my watch list.
In the Dow, IBM acts great.
But McDonald's just broke down this week in the Dow.
You get where I'm going?
A lot of jello moving on the plate now.
But underneath the surface, cracking a little bit.
I've had to move about 60 or 70 names from one screen to the other over the last three weeks.
Booking Holdings, Macado Libre, Lulu, Llemon, docu sign, Palo Alto Networks,
MDB, Service Now, Synopsis, Seagate Technology, Zillow, Datadog, J-Bill, Groupon, Adobe.
Intuit broke the 50-day-to-day.
The more that do that, and remember, the bare market out of 22 started in 21, with all the growth stocks cracking.
There's still plenty working.
we will certainly let you know if it worsens.
We're not saying the world is ending,
and if you look at the Dow S&P NASDAQ is still just trending,
we just want to let you know fewer and fewer.
That's all.
And of course, as we mention, oils, pretty darn good,
especially some of these refiners and copper.
Pretty good.
And of course, watch the 10-year yield.
If the 10-year yield juts above 4.354%, that would be what I would consider to be a significant break above range.
I'm not so sure that's good news.
By the way, Wednesday will be the Fed.
They meet Tuesday, play a little space invaders, Galaga and paper football, eat some food,
do slobber all over themselves, come out Wednesday and say blah, blah, blah,
act like they are in control, and they know what the hell they're doing, but they don't.
And that's all.
That'll be Wednesday.
You know what I think of them.
Big time.
Keep paying attention to New Yearly High List.
Stay on top of where the strength is.
There's just less and less.
We're looking for emergence.
Not so short commodities of the greatest.
thing to emerge.
But we'll see. Up next,
we'll take you to the weekend.
Serenity now.

By the way, in case you are asking everything we discuss
about them has everything to do with you,
everything to do with your job and the economy, and so much else.
And so many of them, Bernie Sanders,
has a vote on our future, wants to crush your kids
by telling them it's okay to work less
and get paid more while businesses decide not to hide.
hire them because they can't afford them.
While you're telling your kids,
reach for the sky while Bernie Sanders is telling them to reach for the sidewalk
and be whoever you are the rest of your life and just vote for us
and we'll take care of you like a good Marxist.
Just remember, everything we do here is about you, your kids, and my kids.
They ain't going to affect me.
Just want you to remember that.
The number they're trying to do on you and us,
They are trying to take us towards Venezuela, Cuba, and every one of those crap holes.
Oh, Gary, come on. Really? Go look at the, go Google the words, California governmental departments and see how many there are.
It's a ruling kingdom, for example. Part of the Bernie Sanders, whatever.
Bezos makes too much money, doesn't pay enough taxes.
The tax code.
Who put together the tax code?
Bernie Sanders and his buddies throughout the last five decades.
He's been there for five decades, and he's complained about the tax code that they've made.
Wally's become a multi-millionaire, by the way, they will not get away with anything when it comes to us.
I promise you that.
Big news.
and this has to do with you and your money.
Historic.
Historic.
Let me read.
The National Association of Realtors,
a powerful organization that has set the guidelines for home sales for decades,
has the greed to settle a series of lawsuits by paying $418 million in damage,
and by eliminating its rules on commissions.
No more 6% commissions.
You get to compete on your commissions.
The deal which will be filed within weeks,
still needs a federal court's approval, but they'll approve.
The deal's expected savings for homeowners could trigger one of the most significant jolts in the U.S. housing market in 100 years.
This will blow up the market and would force a new business model.
Americans pay roughly $100 billion in real estate commissions annually,
and real estate agents, the United States are some of the highest standard commissions in the world.
In many other countries, commission rates hover between 1 and 3%.
The United States, most agents specify a commission of 5 or 6.
Paid by the seller.
If the buyer is an agent, the seller's agent agrees to share a portion of the commission with that agent when listing the home on the market.
You know who's pissed.
The agents.
Just letting you know, I thought that was big news.
And by the way, I got nothing against the agents.
I'm just reading the news.
And that is big news.
In the news.
Hmm.
Is this true?
Florida house prices fall as homeowners desperately try to sell.
The number of motivated sellers in Florida has grown in the past two weeks
as more homeowners are trying to offload their properties quickly
amongst a worsening of the state's insurance crisis.
You know, there's a little insurance problem here.
The insurance is pretty high.
As of Wednesday morning, 204,833 properties,
including single-family, multifamily homes,
apartments, conduits, town homes, and lots,
were listed for sale on Zillow.
Of these 552,24, were listed by what they call
self-described motivated sellers.
Nice.
I'm looking for a home.
I need prices to come down,
and let me be clear and concise.
they're still up in fantasy land
they're still up in fantasy land
and I'm seeing a lot of markdowns
a hell of a lot of markdowns
I've only looked at few other cities
a hell of a lot of markdowns but from fantasy prices
I think there'll be more to go
but I'm quite unsure
but usually when you have a certain movement
and housing prices a certain way
it will last for a while.
In the news,
28% of the country
has saved zero for retirement.
Aren't the politicians smart
by saying, oh, he's trying to go after your social security?
That's how important it is to people.
Amazing.
28% they say have nothing saved.
39% aren't contributing to a retirement fund.
Another 30% don't think they'll ever be able to retire.
If they never did Social Security,
It's your account, no government involvement, but you have to put it in this place and just invest in 10-year bonds and roll them over every 10 years.
It would be in your name.
There would be no deficits in Social Security in IOUs, no gargantuan government bloat, and you'd have a lot more money than you'd be getting in Social Security.
Just buying 10-year yields.
That's it.
Now, if you just took 10% and put in the markets over the last 50 years, holy crap, what a difference.
But no, we got to run it from the government.
Remember what we've told you?
They're the end-all, be-all.
And now the Marxist and chief really trying to take it to the hoop.
Anyway, that's of news.
And, you know, they always say when you start at 21 and just put a hundred bucks into a retirement
account every month, 1,200 a year. You are a millionaire when you get out, but nobody
want, you know, because when we're 21, screw it. I get it. Same here. I didn't do squat.
I didn't do squat until later. Talk to your kids. I talk to mine. I even talk to their friends
also. Best thing you can do is start early. That all said, you have a great week.
Drive carefully. Thanks for indulgence today. I was just pissed. And when you get home to like I do,
quite simple, make sure you hug your family, make sure you hug your children. They will feel better.
You will feel better. I promise. Market under distribution, we'll be watching. Have a good one,
everybody. Until Monday. Bye, bye.
