I'm Gary Kaltbaum, your host. Hey, thanks for being with us today. Glad you here, ladies and gentlemen. Happy that you are listening.
Starting point is 00:00:50 It's Wednesday, the day after the election, we told you so. But before we get into it, first, if you do not get this radio show in your city, We'll post it at gary k.com. We'll also post it on our Twitter feed, which is now X. And if you don't follow us on X, you should. And if you want to email me, just be nice. And we've got a ton of emails on the election.
Starting point is 00:01:14 A ton of emails on the election. A lot of thank yous from the Trump people. And in case you don't know, this is serious talk that everything that affects you. And man, what happened last night will be affecting you as we move forward. Now, ladies and gentlemen, we're going to do a little post-mortem on the election because it has everything to do with you. And then on the second half of the show, we'll do the markets because they pulled a little bit of what they did when Trump won in 2016. So first, if you recall, we had said to you and we stayed on it, did not waver.
Starting point is 00:02:03 Trump's going to win this election in spite of everything. And as you know, I have stated to I have not been a Trump fan. I don't like what he is represented. I have been in hopes that he would become more presidential. I did not like a lot of things he's done through the years. But I said to you, if he wins, I will back him. And I'll even go work for him if he's going to do. something about the debt and deficits with Elon Musk. But if you notice, if you recall, most of
Starting point is 00:02:41 the reasons why I thought he was going to win was because of them. And they proved me 100% right. Today, the day after, they've proved me 100% right. We're had told you they forgot about it's we the people we told you that they were all about government and rules and regulations and fees and fines and mandates and taxes and debt and deficits and control we told you they were all about identity you're part of them you're part of them part of them. No, you're part of them. No, you're part of them. You're them. And what did we tell you about how we would be the president? We would look at each and every person as an American. Not you're Hispanic, you're black, you're short, you're tall, you're rich, you're poor.
Starting point is 00:03:58 And we would set conditions for all to flourish today. Already they have shown why they lost and lost so badly. The day after, you would think with such a miserable failure that they would take a step back and shut the hell up and gain a little bit of humble and sit back, what do we have to do differently? Nope. Number one, I've never watched the view. I've heard about the view
Starting point is 00:04:53 Every now and then One of you will send me a video From the View and I will watch it But I've never turned it on I couldn't care less You know me in opinion One woman in the view today claimed
Starting point is 00:05:11 The blame goes to Uneducated Whites And blacks It was you the uneducated. She defined the uneducated. By the way, she's a black woman. And I'm sitting there thinking, huh, she's calling people uneducated. Interesting. This morning, on something called Morning Joe, gentleman by the name of Joe Scarborough
Starting point is 00:05:48 He is Well I don't know what he is now But Republican And he's now Totally leftist show I really don't watch it He had Al Sharpton on Now in case you don't know
Starting point is 00:06:09 Al Sharpton You can go look up the video Of the hateful things he've said about Jews And they say he's a reverend, whatever he is. He's black, by the way. Both Scarbo and Al Sharpton, a black man, amazingly, said blacks that voted for Trump are misogynous.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Blacks didn't want to vote for a black woman. They're misogynous. Of course, they added in the Hispanics. Blacks and Hispanics. generalizing a whole group of people and calling them misogynist. These people are sick, twisted, imbeciles, and they think they're going to earn people's happy and trust by calling them misogynist that was Sharpton and Scarborough.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Interesting. Joy Reed. Do you know who she is? She's got a show on MSNBC and she once said something really bad about gay people and they still gave her a show. Terrific. I hear she's very, very bad. I don't really watch her. Her. She's very in the tank. Last night she said once Florida came in for Trump, Florida is an extremist right. wing fascist state. Really? Because I live in Florida and I don't see anything extreme or anything
Starting point is 00:08:11 fascist. In fact, it's pretty much the freest state out there. You know how I know this? I'm in New York and New Jersey all the time. It's night and day. Just those three things.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Just those three things. And then I threw around the dial today. And all they were doing were putting down the voters. Interesting. The voters that they're trying to earn are now racist, misogynist, haters of women and especially black women all day. And I'm thinking to myself, that's why they lost. And let me explain, because now we go before the election.
Starting point is 00:09:03 What we told you was pretty simple. Their generalizations of whole groups of people and the put-downs of the whole groups of people and the weirdest of put-downs. Nazis. You're calling people Nazis. In case you don't know, Nazis killed 12 million people, murdered them, threw them in gas chambers, did experiments on them. Women, men, young, elderly.
Starting point is 00:09:33 infants, you name it, and they're calling Americans Nazis. People they've never met, and they think they're going to get votes by calling people Nazis. So we said to you a couple of things. Number one, he's going to win because she's going to lose, because A, she's selling a us on fake, that she is the change agent going forward, even though she has been there for three and a half years with Biden. She's telling us how good she's going to be with the border when she was a miserable failure on the border. She's going to lower cost of inflation, even though inflation skyrocketed under her, and all they do is blame somebody else. And then the,
Starting point is 00:10:38 the Nazis and the Nazis and the misogynists and racist. I got news for you. I have a radio show. I'm on TV. I'm not very famous. In fact, when people come up to me in an airport, hey, I've seen you on Fox. I think you're pretty good, but I've got to tell you about the other guy who's so much better than you. I haven't met any Nazis. Up next. We'll put a bow tie on this
Starting point is 00:11:10 and tell you what it means. I'm Garrow. This is the one only Investors Edge. Hi, I'm Gary Kalbaum, hosted a nationally syndicated radio show Investors Edge. In this episode, we are diving into gut health with CVS pharmacist Victoria Motola, who explains why so many of us live with stomach issues we should not accept as normal.
Starting point is 00:13:00 A lot of what I see is just like chronic bloating, chronic stomach aches. Like I get a stomach ache every time that I eat. And it just becomes like a lifestyle where, oh, yeah, you know, I just have a stomach egg every day. Or I'm constantly feeling like gassy. And all of those things are not something that generally, if you have a healthy gut, you should be living with. So that's when we deep dive.
Starting point is 00:13:23 We deep dive into your medication. We deep dive into your OTC medication. And then at that point, we can probably identify something that we can change. Hear the full conversation, plus some fascinating facts about how gut health affects so much more than just your stomach on Beyond the Script, a podcast from CVS Pharmacy and IHeart Radio. The last bastion of quality programming. With Gary Coltbaum. It doesn't get better than this. So, in case you do not know, back when Trump was running for election, I went to one of the debates in Milwaukee.
Starting point is 00:15:59 And it was packed. It was packed. I did not meet any Nazis. In fact, all I met was some very nice people. I'm going to say there were 5,000 people there. And of course, I didn't meet all of them. but I didn't meet any Nazis. When Trump was running back then,
Starting point is 00:16:22 they had this big outdoor thingumabab for Trump. It was a rally. I think there was probably 5,000 people there, maybe a little bit more. I didn't meet any Nazis. Interesting. In fact, I didn't meet any misogynist. I didn't meet any racist.
Starting point is 00:16:48 I met very nice people. Interesting. And you know me and my small samplings. When I went to vote a few days ago, there were a lot of people there. And we're in Florida, so you would think more than not they were voting Republican. I didn't meet any Nazis. I've been in the villages. here in Florida.
Starting point is 00:17:20 I've never met any Nazis. Yet they spent a couple of weeks, if not more. Nazis. Nazis. Not, they're not nice people. They're meanies. Nazis. Not they don't know what they're doing.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Nazis. Interesting. And they expect. to win votes. Interesting. So you combine that with selling yourself as something you have never been and wanting people to believe you, calling in a general fashion a whole swathes of people Nazis and racist. And what happens? You piss people off. Do you know the exit polls on Hispanics that voted for Trump in numbers nobody would ever believe they said one of the main reasons were they came here legally and they don't appreciate what they have
Starting point is 00:18:44 done with the border yet these people that are calling everybody Nazis think they were doing the right thing by letting as many people in interesting law law abiding citizens, Hispanics, who they believe would be on their side for open borders, found
Starting point is 00:19:11 out, nope. Now notice, I haven't even talked Trump. And the reason is they handed it to him. Do you know a few days ago Trump said he should have never left because he won the election?
Starting point is 00:19:34 you would think you would lose people, lose independence with a statement like that. Nope. The comedian who made that Puerto Rican stupid joke. Do you know what Hispanic said? That was a joke. While the same people that were on TV today saying people are racist and misogynists, were saying Trump is a racist and misogynist. And he should not have won and there's something wrong with the country.
Starting point is 00:20:15 I saw a Washington Post person say it's the country's fault. Interesting. This is not the country I was born into, they said. Interesting. While the people they love so much and wanted to win, massive open borders, massive debt and deficits, family corruption,
Starting point is 00:20:47 the Bidens, changing everything about your life in order to curry favor those flip-flops, and then calling people Nazis. That's why we did not waver. One plus one equals two. The only thing I did not know, dang, it was a blowout. But after the first 15 minutes of Florida reporting, I looked at my wife and I said Trump's the next president. I didn't. I even need to wait for other states because I saw how much he was winning by and I saw here where he was winning and I knew it would have been it was going to be repeated at other places winning date county in Florida I knew it was over and then the next one came in and the next one came in and the next one came in and the next one came in and it was party
Starting point is 00:21:45 and the problem for the party is they're still into the identity politics and they're weird is all hell. You know, the whole thing with the men in the sports with women. I was thinking to myself, what if, how many people on a volleyball court? What if it was just all men? You know, little things like that. I can go on and on and on and on about the cockamamie control freakism I coined the little phrase and that's why they lost Trump didn't even have to do anything
Starting point is 00:22:34 I don't even need to talk Trump now we'll talk Trump he's not going to deport the numbers he says he's going to deport he's not deporting 10 million people he's not doing 100% tariffs and a bunch of of other things he said but what he will do he will stiffen the border he will not be raising
Starting point is 00:23:14 taxes he will be lowering taxes by the way the Senate also they got the Senate big time the House is still up for Gabbs by the way we guaranteed you the Senate here also but we did not guarantee you the House that's also come into fruition and we hope We hope once Trump does this economic policy, and if Elon Musk does the efficiency business of the government, they just get the hell out of the way. Because if he lets 150 million of us go to work every day doing great things, everything will be fine. Up next, we'll lead you into the market. A doozy of a day. Thanks for being here.
Starting point is 00:24:01 I'm Gary. This is the one only investor's edge. Learn more at APU.APUS.edu. We're listening to America is talking. Investors Edge. He's got to be pleased with the crowd.
Starting point is 00:27:20 is just on his feet here he's a Cinderella boy with Gary Colbomb comes highly recommended you're gonna feel better if you talk to him so that's the story you treat people like crap you throw sand into the wind it gets blown back into your face I didn't even have to mention the quietness of what's been going on the university for Jewish students knowing knowing that if it was the Ku Klux Klan, they'd have the National Guard and the military out cleaning them up, picking and choosing.
Starting point is 00:28:14 Didn't even mention that. I didn't even mention all the other stupid economic stuff. I've been mentioning they ran $487 billion deficit last month. If the Republicans are smart, go to work, set good conditions, get the hell out of the way, treat everybody as good Americans, don't identify them by race, creed, or color. What have we told you here about whether you're black,
Starting point is 00:29:06 Hispanic, white, Muslim, Sikh, big, tall, short, fat, curly hair, blonde, everybody should be treated equally. Nobody with favor. Everybody with hope. If the Republican leadership is smart, that's what they do. Of course,
Starting point is 00:29:39 it's been known throughout the years that these parties get full themselves once they have power and then they end up doing stupid things. We'll see. What's interesting is Trump only has four years now once he's in. Not even because in the fourth year you're pretty much lame duckish. Couple of other things and we'll finish up. She picked Tim Walts over Shapiro from Pennsylvania because Shapiro was Jewish. Identity politics again. I don't think she wins anyhow. She would have a lot better chance.
Starting point is 00:30:23 This guy Waltz, I'm trying to be nice. I don't think they even vetted the guy. And then her handling of the campaign. Pedestrian. Pedestrian. We move on. Market gapped up just like it did. The Wednesday after the election in 2016,
Starting point is 00:30:55 I think the Dow gapped up like 1,300 points, finished up 1,500. The NASDAQ didn't gap up as much. Let me tell you what the NASDAQ gapped up. We're going to call it. 18824 160 so about 390 finished up 544 the biggest movers were the financials the regional banks amazing moves the big movers were the small in the midcaps because as we have told you they are laden with these financials if you look at the xlf gap up to new high buyable on any controlled pullback oh i got to take that back i can't be here telling you to buy sell shorter cover you know what i mean the kbwb same as the xlf the kre the regional banks same as those two the financials big moves today the re that kre up 13 percent the kbwb up 10 percent the
Starting point is 00:32:05 XLF won't be up as much, but that was up 6%. The IWM, which is the Russell 2000, up 5.8%. That's a big breakout today. The MDY, the mid-cap ETF, was up 4%. That's a big breakout today. Remember, just because something breaks out does not mean it sticks. But those are pretty damn good breakouts. The new yearly high list because of this move today really picked up.
Starting point is 00:32:32 As I did my scans, I found a ton of. of smaller banks that trade under 100,000 shares up 15% today, which I can't touch. Well, I don't touch. Economically sensitive names, very strong. Oils, big move up in oils, even though oil prices were down. Why would oils be up big? What's Trump's line? Drill baby drill.
Starting point is 00:33:02 So because of that, you had a big move in oils. and as you know, we've been in an avoid on oils for a very long time. I'll look them over tonight. Weakness, gold pulled back kind of harshly. I have a small position left in gold. Still up pretty decently. Why would gold be down a lot? Well, because the dollar was strong.
Starting point is 00:33:23 Why would the dollar be strong? America. Weakness in solars, why? Politics. Weakness in China. Why would China be weak overnight? Oh, it's simple. China would be weak overnight because Trump is probably not going to be too friendly to China.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Housing weak, why? Yields were up markedly, though off the highs, but we're up 1.37 to 4.426. Hit a high of 4.477. But for the rest, amazing one-day moves. Bitcoin gapped up. cruise lines everything gapped up that's the best way I can put
Starting point is 00:34:15 I can put it everything gaped up back in 2016 the gap up the next day wasn't as big and it went
Starting point is 00:34:31 kept going we'll see what happens this time we think best guess it's going to keep going to what extent I don't know but the market
Starting point is 00:34:44 is re-evaluating. What is it re-evaluating? Well, there was a 50-50 chance that the other candidate was going to get in and raise corporate taxes, capital gains taxes, come up with unrealized capital gain taxes, let the Trump tax cuts go by. By the way, there is a chance now if they have the House that they are going to extend the Trump tax cuts. That's huge. It's a complete complexion change for markets. A complete complexion change for markets. And that's the story of today. I don't know what else I can add except unbelievable move.
Starting point is 00:35:39 Oh, I'd even mention the transports. Do you know the transports today? We're up 900 points, 890 points today. Huge breakout on the transports. Why? Same reasons. Norfolk Southern. A rail.
Starting point is 00:36:03 Up 25 today. For example, stocks been doing nothing. Union Pacific, up 14 today. Landstar 8. Old Dominion freight, up 12. Ark Best, 12. transports strong as all hell
Starting point is 00:36:26 I don't think I've ever bought the transport ETF by the way as I speak she is at Howard University and accepting the loss I guess that conceding I am taping it so I'll get to see what the story is and she has called Trump
Starting point is 00:36:47 Joe Biden is called Trump and conceded we're being told she gave a talking to Trump by the way saying something to the effect of, by the way, we're not going to fight the fact that we lost. A little bit of a zing back on the markets. In the Dow, J.P. Morgan, up 10%, 11%. J.P. Morgan? Big breakout move.
Starting point is 00:37:24 Goldman Sachs up 13%. another big breakout move. By the way, both those stocks I've been sitting on every single day for the last few weeks as they just traded tight and I was waiting for the breakout. They gaped them up, couldn't get them. I'm looking at them on the pullback though. Up next, what else in these markets? Thanks for being here. I'm Gary. This is the one only investor's edge. Starting point is 00:41:10 Investers Edge with Gary Culper. And what once again to Investor's Edge? You think I'm done with the Dow? In the Dow Caterpillar, with their 6% drop in earnings, their 4% drop in sales, second quarter, third quarter in row of sales drop, up 33 today to 416, new high on volume. Why? The election. In the Dow, United Health, up 29 today, not new highs. Travelers up nine today.
Starting point is 00:42:14 And then a few sundry things. Salesforce.com up nine. Amazon up seven. That broke out finally. Disney was even up two. Honeywell up six. IBM up six. Microsoft up seven.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Three M up seven. There were a few things down. But nothing untoward. So when you go do your scans tomorrow, this is what you got to be looking at. Or tonight. Small and mid-capable. ETFs, all the financial ETFs, even look at the oil ETFs and underneath that surface, and then go be looking at that new yearly high list. I've been going through it and it's a big
Starting point is 00:42:53 wow. It really picked up today. Why? Because the Dow gapped up 1,300 points today. And soon as I'm off radio, I'll watch her speech and then get the scanning. I'm already getting emails. I get the same kind of emails from people. Do you think it's for real? Every move the market makes is for real. And the S&P jumped to new highs today at the close? The Dow, new highs, and that's been wavering. The NASDAQ, yeah, that got to new highs. The NASDAQ 100, new highs, the Mid-CAP 400, the small-cap 600, the Russell 2000, a bunch of other ETS, new yearly highs. And there you have it. And part of new yearly highs is the fact that new yearly highs tend to beget new highs.
Starting point is 00:44:21 And again, I already went back to 2016. They gapped it up not as much after the election, and you had a good rally for a while. Will it do the same now? I have no freaking clue. We just know with the information that we have at hand, and dang, them financials. The semis overall, still what we would call laboring. laboring. Apple?
Starting point is 00:45:00 Laboring. By the way, Apple was down 73 cents today. Apple was down 73 cents today with the Dow $1,500, and Apple's in the Dow. These are the things we'll also be watching. What is
Starting point is 00:45:16 laboring? And there's your day. A big wow. We were not surprised that he won. we were surprised by how much. But once Florida came in, we knew it was going to be a blowout. I even tweeted, this is a blowout. And my friends were texting me and they didn't believe me. I said, dude, and my son's, no way.
Starting point is 00:45:45 I said he's taken it all. When I was in high school, I was up for the most witty in class. I gave out candy to everybody. if you're trying to get votes, you've got to be nice. You can't call him Nazis. I still lost, by the way, to Steve Schrago. I came in second. I believe Trump lost to Biden because of his demeanor at the time.
Starting point is 00:46:26 It was terrible. We were telling you day in and day out. This time, the shoe was on the other foot. How many times was I on this show with you saying, they're calling people Nazis? What? They're calling people racist? Huh?
Starting point is 00:46:48 What do you think's going to happen? They're going to turn out and they're going to vote. And they sure did. And going forward for the Democratic Party, if they don't recognize that they can't offend and disregard and panes, pander to blacks and Hispanics anymore. They're Americans first. Keep pandering. Remember the day all a sudden out of nowhere she offered money to the blacks and I came on this show? Pure pander.
Starting point is 00:47:32 And the blacks are going to know it? I told you that. She didn't lose the black vote. She lost a ton of what she usually gets. And it was the difference in many areas. Doesn't matter. Race, creed, color, they want to be treated like they're matter, like they're somebody, and not just a vote. And I don't think they've learned
Starting point is 00:48:06 because they were on TV today and they were doing it all over again. And by the way, that view, there's some weird women on there. they just went on there and just ripped the Americans today a couple of them were cool what's her name Joy
