Welcome back to It Is What It is.
I'm Treasure Wilson, aka Stap Baby,
along with your host, Mace, and Cam.
Killer, what's good, man?
Myrtle, what's good? How are you?
Been good, man.
Good, man.
Love to hear it, love to see it.
Cam, I'm sure you're feeling extra good
because y'all, we got a game seven on the way.
The Spurs B-O-K-C-11-18-G-E.
2-91.
Mace, obviously this is a very important game,
but what's your opinion on how the game went?
We kind of knew.
I mean, I thought it would be over today.
I'm not going to lie.
I thought we would be looking forward to the NBA finals.
But the NBA had something different in mind, you know?
It seemed like San Antonio came out with too much energy for OKC.
It seemed like they had a one team that can stop.
stop SGA whenever they feel like stopping SGA.
That's what is looking.
Whenever Vassell or whenever one of the bigger wings want to play defense on SGA,
it just seemed like SGA don't dominate the game the same when somebody around his height
or taller is guarding him.
Normally the point guards that are guarding him are way shorter.
So he gets to get a lot.
lot of other things off that he wasn't able to do in that game. They were, they were really
reckless with the basketball. Okay, see, that is. It just didn't seem like they came out to
finish this series. You know, this San Antonio team looked like, it just looked like each game
somebody doesn't show up. So I don't really know. I don't want to put too much stock in
what each team does, even though it was a blowout,
it doesn't seem like each team is coming to play on the same night.
So I don't want to just say how well they played
because then they'll play bad last game.
Then they may play bad at the next game.
The same thing we're seeing with OKC, one game, everybody's clicking.
But one person has been consistent in this caruso has been very consistent
for that OKC team.
I mean, with energy, the way you're playing, the way it's coming out, taking care of the ball.
But, you know, this is really interesting.
I know they can't afford to take off next game, so I'm excited about game seven.
And I'm still going with OKC.
What's going on so far in the series throughout six games?
Spurs are jumping out to huge leagues.
And this in me, I when you say huge leagues, 12.
leads, 15 point leads, 10 point leads, every single game. But what happens is the thunder
withstand those leads and actually come back and outscore them sometimes in the first half,
or maybe even towards the end of the first quarter after gaining these leads. Last night,
they just couldn't come back. They stuck around. They stayed within 10. Actually,
at halftime, cut the lead to seven points. But the spurs blew the game out in the third quarter,
scoring them 32 to 13, which was O KC's lowest score and quarter throughout the whole season,
only 13 points.
And game was pretty much done bed.
Dagnar then put SGA back in, chat back in.
He's seen as a foregone conclusion, so he's wrestling them up for game seven.
What I will say is this.
In the game seven, even though it's an OKC, OKC is should not, no, I'm not talking about
Spursfman, I'm just talking about somebody looking at the game.
they cannot let them jump out to another 12, 15 point lead and expect it with the day in the storm
and think that they're going to come back.
Now, if you're on the spur side of it, when you get these 14, 12, 13, 14, 14, 15 point leads,
which you've been doing because you start out fast, you got to, you got to beat them while they're damn pores.
You cannot let them jump back in the game because OKC has been staying within 10, 8, 7, and then they're,
they put on a run to where they ended up winning the end of the quarter throughout this
series.
This game, to me, was over at halftime, even though that they were only up seven-twene,
but you see the body language, see the way they came on third quarter, and don't get
the pucked up.
The Spurs were on fire in the beginning of everybody was sitting threes, whether it was Champany,
whether it was Vassel, played with a lot of energy.
And then Dylan Harper had one of his best games coming off the bench, giving energy, giving
points, hitting shots when he need to hit it.
Everybody predicted this with those eight, seven games.
So we're at game seven.
What team is going to show for OKC?
Which team is going to show for San Antonio?
But again, I've seen this time after time happen last night that I've been
alluded to throughout this series.
When you pull Wembe away from the basket and they end up missing the shot,
okay, see, every offensive rebound just about is going to OKC.
because the people who's recovering in rotation are too small to get the rebound,
whether it's been high-riched in the rebound or whether it be checked during the putback.
I don't like it.
I don't like it.
I love the offense.
I love me running four guards.
It looks good.
But I don't know how this is going to work because you're not getting defensive
rebounds sometime when you're getting defensive rebounds and you're giving OKC second and third-ch
opportunities to
to score.
So even though this game was
a blowout, we got to realize
the start this didn't play the fourth quarter.
OKC to me looked like
they took the night off and said we know what we need
to do in game seven. So
yeah, I'm happy it's in game seven, but
to me it wasn't a full-fledged effort
from OKC. Both teams are come out
fighting. Game seven
is do or die, when they go home.
So we'll
see what happened. What I will say is this.
do like, you know, we think about this, right?
We see Wembe go out the game, last game, upset.
We see him not do the press media thing.
And he came out aggressive.
He came to the game in a monk outfit.
I don't know if y'all seen him walk in the arena and all that,
but he had the muncheon on.
I said, I like that.
I mean, to me, the way I looked at him, like,
niggas got problems tonight.
I took off from doing, I took off from the media.
I took off on when meditated,
went to see the monks came in with the monk
outfit's on. Last game for
the Spurs, there was three nuns there.
Tonight I see nine nuns
in the crowd. They were
there.
They set the drama up. They showed the
nuns before the game. When we came
in the monk outfit, I said, I like
this attitude. They need to take that
attitude with them on the road
to OKC. But I like
the way the Spurs came in mentality
wise.
Counting nuns is different. That's funny,
like that's something.
No, no, I'm saying.
It ain't like, it ain't like, you got to think the NBA,
NBC and the NBA is selling this.
They're putting the cameras on them.
They're showing them before the game.
They show them when we walk in,
and they're not just showing when we walk in.
They slow motion in it, so it's drama.
They put it in a slow motion with the monk outfit on,
and walking slow with the music,
you know, they're making good TV.
I bought into it.
I was feeling it.
The theatrics.
That's what they're supposed to do.
It is a good look.
Go ahead, Mace.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's the Bruce Lee outfit.
You know, he had it down to his leg.
That's the outfit.
You don't want to play with them kind of people.
They come in with that outfit.
All he was lifting was a turban.
He'd had the turban on.
They would have been crazy.
Like that guy he was looking.
But what are we thinking?
Twenty nuns for the final?
He got to have $29.
Yeah, yeah, man.
Listen, it's the last game.
I would say you got to bring at least six.
You got to bring six.
Every time they show them nuns, they win, man.
They win, they win.
You got to do it.
And I'm going to keep it of a honey.
I ain't like to.
fact that last game
not last night the game
game um five
I didn't like the fact that OKC
have fake nuns in the crowd
they had the white boys with the nun shit
on they had disrespecting
the nuns I took it as disrespect
I took it as I was making
fun of the niggins I didn't like that
I didn't like that
and back karma you actually should not
yeah yeah I don't
I didn't like them I didn't like them
disrespecting it I thought it
I thought it was a slap in the face.
And I think, okay, she's a taking a slap in the face.
Oh, they got the nuns out, so let's go grab a nun hat and wear it.
So white boys doing that in the crowd.
I didn't appreciate it.
Can't go for that.
They need at least 10 nuns for Game 7, Killer.
They got to have at least 10 nuns for game 7.
10 nuns in four months.
I have a range there.
and have a rain.
Y'all are hilarious.
So before we go into our Game 7 predictions,
Cam, you bring up a point where you're basically talking about the leads, right,
that we're seeing throughout the series.
So Mace, going to ask you first, from what we've seen so far,
and I would say aside from game one,
because we know that when is double overtime,
that kind of set the tone so we thought,
do you feel like this series is living up to the hype so far?
Are you feeling like, uh, you wish you could see more?
What are your thoughts, Mace?
I love this series.
This series reminds me of the old school basketball that I stayed up all night to watch, right?
The numbers that they're going to, I mean, this last game was kind of low scoring on OKC part,
but I miss watching those games that stayed over 112.
That was in 115.
It used to be like 137 or 122.
You know, I like games where people are scoring a lot of points.
people got to play defense and better offense and better defense.
Like people playing their hard out playing defense,
and the guy just makes a great shot.
I miss pros, you know, making all their shots.
You know, it used to be where pro get a shot,
he's making that shot.
It's just automatic.
And this is what I was looking at when I was watching San Antonio
played this game and SGA,
and I'm playing last game.
But I really want to say something,
look out for. These is two
games that SGA
had less than 20.
Last time he had 19, I think
last night he had about 15.
This is not good.
I'm telling you it's not good.
Even if it's not
the downfall, it's not the downfall
of SGA, but it is
giving people a blueprint
of how to slow him down.
It's almost like
when, who is that?
Scotty Pippen, when
when the Lakers beat Chicago game one,
and then it seemed like they came back out
and put Scotty Pippen on Magic Johnson.
That was the end of the series.
Just one play like that.
And I think this is what we're looking at with SGA and San Antonio.
Well, what I would say to that, Mesa, that I'm not saying
that I do agree that they're storing different.
looks at SGA and he's having more difficulty that he had in previous series or previous
seasons. Two things to take into consideration when you think about that, right? It ain't been no
7-4 nigger that's just crazy out there blocking everything, the defensive player of the year.
Then you take into account also, this is this thing is taking into account. That's first,
but the thing to take into account these games, he's not going 20. He's not playing the fourth
quarter either. Even when they're
winning, he's playing, you know,
when they're up, the last game they was up, so
they sat him out half the fourth quarter. He didn't play
all the fourth quarter this game as well.
So it's not like he's not playing four games,
but I do agree with you that they're throwing different
looks in them. They're making it difficult.
Back to answering
the question that you asked that
I like it as well.
They say the best two words in
sports period is game seven.
So yes, I think the series is living up to the
type. I
like the ruffs are letting them play a little more aggressively, like Maysa.
You know, I like, I like, I like when people score, but I like defense as well.
You know, you know, when you go, the NBA, because of the three-point game has got the,
you get used to people score the 120 points, 125 points.
You know, when we watched them series when we grew up in the 90s and shit, a game went
ended 94 to 82 because everybody was shooting 8003s in a game.
You know what I'm saying?
So I love it, though.
I agree with Mace.
I do love this series.
You can't ask for anything more.
You got to think about this as well.
This is the number one and the number two team in the NBA this year.
And I know we're talking, you have an Eastern Conference or you have a Western Conference,
but I'm talking about as far as finishing in record, the best records in the NBA in the regular season,
the first best record, whether it was Easton Conference, but I'm talking about as far as finishing in the record, the first best record,
whether it was Eastern Conference or Western Conference was number one
OKC and number two San Antonio.
So you're looking at the best two teams play against each other right now in a game seven.
So you can't ask for anything better than this, man, if you're watching the NBA all season.
And we talked about do we like the NBA product right now?
We talked about a lot about that throughout the season.
It's the NBA a good product.
do we like it load management people not playing people taking games off they're jerking the fans this time and the third
this is what we watch basketball for this series right here in particular the best two teams going game for game down to the wire next game
when it takes all to go to the championship to play the new york next you can't ask for anything better than this
okay now let's get into our prediction this is the one y'all so we're going to
lock it in. Mace, who do you think wins game seven?
Oh, man, game seven.
I mean, I don't lose either way, you know?
Man, that's a way to win.
That's a way to start it.
Oh, man.
I don't lose either way, God, can.
You know, it's a darn single.
But, oh, man, let me say it like that.
I think, I think, I was going to say okay, see,
but after tonight, I think, I think San Antonio shit went.
But I will want SGA to win to play against the night.
Knicks because
the Knicks, you know, it's been
this talk about SGA
and it's been this talk about
you know, Jalen
I meant Jalen, Jalen,
Jalen, I'm bugging out.
Brunson.
Jalen Brunson.
Yeah, Jalen Brunson.
And I want that to be settled.
I want that to be settled.
I'm tired of hearing
Jalen Brunson is as good as
SGA. I'm ready for that to be settled.
So I will want them to win,
but I think San Antonio is going on.
Yeah, I agree, Mason.
I said that on a couple shows ago.
You know, Jalen Brunson, I said the final boss is SGA.
I don't want to hear about Tyrese Maxie.
I don't want to hear about Donovan Mitchell.
I don't want to hear about, you know,
only other point guard that doesn't make it, though, is Luca.
And Luca cannot guard Jalen Brunson on defense.
So SGA, the two-time reigning MVP,
reigning finals MVP,
reigning NBA champion against the New York Knicks,
SGA against Brunson, for it all.
I would love to see that.
But I can't go against the Spurs, man.
I can't do it.
Now, what I love to see at that,
like you said, Mace, that's the one,
because think about this, I'm just saying,
you know, we trolling.
all that shit, but as a New Yorker,
this is what a New Yorker will want.
Yeah.
Yeah, this is, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I don't have to talk to anybody else.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, this is as a New Yorker.
This is, you want SGA,
because you don't want to hear nothing else, my nigga.
You don't want to hear nothing as a New Yorker
because you're going to, because if the Spurs win
and the Knicks will let's just say the Knicks end up being Spurs,
you know, which whatever would be a great series.
you still have people lingering like we can't fuck with that's GA
you're gonna still hear that if I'm a New York and I'm a New York Knicks fan
I want the final boss
I want the end of the game
I want Mario brothers level 13 whatever it was
it's the end of man
I want that I want the end of the game
if I'm a New Yorker man
Yo, let me tell you something, man.
So real quick, to answer your question,
I think for the Spurs to win,
Wemby's going to have to have the type of game
that he had in game one
when it won the double overtime.
It's going to have to be 42 points.
It's going to have to be 22, 24.
42 and 24, yeah.
It's going to have to be six blocks.
It's going to have to be something we never seen.
Game 7, Wemby.
Game 6.1.
Winby walked so game seven, Winby can run.
We're going to have to see something crazy from Winby for them to win.
Can that happen?
It can happen.
But he got to stay in the monk.
He got to stay.
You got to stay locked in.
You know what I'm saying?
But what I was saying now, back on the other side of the equation,
it's a New Yorker now, if New York wins a championship, and this is not, what I'm saying,
it's funny, but it's not funny.
be careful out there
anybody who's not
from it. It's going to be all
hell broken loose.
People who are Nick fans are going to be hurt
just for being out there.
It's going to be bad and it's going to be bad
for weeks.
When I say bad, I mean physically bad for weeks.
I'm talking about a niggas going to go in the store
suck my dick.
Knicks one, nigga, I smack the shit out you.
For weeks.
Not only that, it's going to last
until for three,
years. And when I mean that,
seriously, what I mean by
that is if the Knicks win,
the physical problems
are going to be all summer.
Then after that,
we the champs. And if the Knicks
lose the game next year,
give a fuck, nigga, we're the chance. We worry about
the championship. We ain't worried about the regular season.
Then if the Knicks don't win
next year, nigga, we just won.
Fuck you told me. We won last year.
This is what's going to happen. I'm telling
you. It's going to be bad.
Yo, Mace.
I promise you,
yo, Nick,
we're gonna go to this clip real quick.
I'm gonna go to this clip real quick.
This nigga walked in the bodega murder
and say, yo,
pause, pause this,
but we're gonna go to the clip.
This nigga walks in the deli
in the bodega and says,
yo,
give me a brunt and egg and cheese,
hold the dick and balls.
Make my shit right.
To the Aki making the sandwiches, my man.
What is a brunson egg and cheese?
Hold the dick and balls.
He's the king in New York, my guy.
Niggas is making up sandwiches.
Oh, Ack, let me get a brunton egg and cheese.
Hold the dick and balls, you are?
That ass, bro.
Make my shit right, you are?
That ass, bro.
For me, that's the king of New York.
You for me?
On my island.
Give me a brush of egg and cheese
holding the dick and balls.
Part of my language.
But what do you,
how do you think about that?
This is the thought process.
Who came up with that?
Yeah.
This is what I'm saying.
Be careful out there, man.
They didn't know what we're talking about.
And they didn't even win the game,
that it'll be people on the floor crying,
sitting on the floor in the streets.
Like crying, like they lost their child.
this is how crazy they'll get
the net will be as popular as the Yankee hat
in one day
in one day
the Nick had a be proper
with the Yankee hat
Did you see the dude wanting
He said
Jaylen Brunson's my doctor
My McKinick
My mother
My lawyer
His engineer
And this engineer
He was a doctor
He's
Jaylen Brunsley
He's my father
Y'all be careful out there
Because it's definitely
bigger than just the game
This is a whole movement
Yeah
Brunswick and cheese
It's tough though
They're standing
They're standing on top of the canopy
On top of the marquee
with this shirt off
And that was just
The Eastern Comble
conference, people are standing outside.
They'll be out there all nights that it'll be in the morning.
They'll break day for the Knicks.
Bro, we're talking about break day.
They're going to break days with a ass.
Yo, fam, you know how many people, let me tell you saying.
And I'm not wishing this on nobody.
Let me tell you something.
You know how many people, the Knicks win the championship,
is going to be in jail that night, giving each other a high five.
like you got locked up for the next shit too
and be excited about it.
Tell me.
Yeah.
Hide your cars.
Hide your cars.
They'll be standing on cars.
Yeah, your car be finished in the morning
if your car is out when the next one.
Everything.
Your cars, your kids, your wife,
it's a movement.
But we'll see what happens
because this is an important piece here now
because, so Mitchell Robinson has actually
suffered a broken pinky finger.
So his final status is unclear.
So after hearing all that, Mace,
and I know we want the theatrical,
I mean, I don't know if we necessarily want the theatrics
because they already lost me when he brought in the broom to the club.
But the theatrics are there,
but knowing that Mitchell Robinson might not be able to play in the finals,
how do you think this affects their finals runs?
Run.
They definitely need Mitchell Robinson.
They got to have him for us.
on the west coast,
if they run up against swimming them
and they do not have Mitchell Robertson,
it is over before it's over.
I mean, it's over before it starts.
They definitely need them for OKC
because who's going to go out chat?
Who's going to, you know,
when they start doing the low screens
and stuff like that,
they won't have enough front card presence.
And then you got, what's his name,
Hartstein, it's just going to be too much.
But this is what I mean about New York.
Something always goes wrong, stat.
You know how somebody say, oh, you ain't going to believe what happened to me?
If three Nick players can get arrested.
It's just always something.
I don't know
I'm telling
if there was ever
somewhere
something could go wrong
this is this
but I'm glad
you're here to watch it
it's almost like
you telling your kids
a fable
or some legend
they don't know about
and they get to watch it
with you
I'm so eager
to watch you watch this
with us
because you're going to be able to say
wow
you don't
did say if anything.
It'll be one thing.
That could be the one thing.
Yeah, I can't.
Listen.
No, I was saying, like,
status too young to
know this show, but it was
a show called Good Times where every time
they're about to get out the projects,
something just always
happened that
they never could make it out the projects.
They had a football player that
almost was dating. They thought he was
about to get out the project.
He hurt his leg.
They never make it out.
The Project, James got a good job in Minnesota.
He got killed.
Listen, this is, they never make it up.
And that's what Mason's referring to.
He's in the air of water.
Yeah, it's an accident waiting to happen.
But let me tell you this right now.
I'm going to tell you this right now.
And I'm talking to you, Mitchell Robinson.
You've been playing with a broke pinky.
You just didn't know.
You thought your pinky was hurt.
you better not miss a game.
I don't care if your pinky is broke or not,
they are not going to want to hear it.
Because if you don't play and they don't win,
you are going to be a sucker, a bitch-ass nigger,
all type of shit.
They're going to start naming things you could do with a broken pinky.
I'm telling you right now,
it would be a list of things that you could get done with a broken pinky.
You better get out there, bro.
And trust me, I know, I'm not,
I didn't have a broken piggy.
I can't tell you how bad it hurts, how bad it doesn't.
But from what we're understanding, they've been broke,
and now you've got to check out, you find out it broke.
And I've seen a report that stats talking about.
It says out indefinitely, you better move that status up to available for game two.
That's what it better be bad.
I'm telling you that right now they're not going to want to hear it.
Get out there, bro, for your own safety and your own sanity as well.
in the off-season.
That kind of puts him in a lose-lose situation, though.
Go ahead, Mace.
And for his family.
The next thing is not having it.
He put up on his wife car.
If he have a wife, they'll be attacking his kids, everybody.
Yeah.
See, I feel like for him, that's a lose-lose situation, though,
because if he does, you know, like they said, broken pinging,
then he does, whether he's like, like,
Mr. Robinson should have never been in the game
because they got him playing with the broken pinky
but then if he doesn't play
then it's like he should have been in
like it's gonna go either which way
so I mean I know they have to announce it
but damn like I just feel like
what do you do?
No let me let me tell you said
they'll respect it more if you play
because like niggas New York
I'm telling you as a New Yorker nigga
yeah
their back in the backbones
niggas was out there playing with a broken hand
and all that man they'll upgrade it to
his arm was broken
You're playing out there with a broken arm and all that, man.
Fuck you want us to do.
Valid.
You would know best, so trying to know what New York is speaking.
Willis Reed and all that.
Willis Reed left out there, he looked out there.
Yeah, he looked out there, did it?
I'm telling you now, it ain't no loser if you play
because they'll upgrade to picky to a whole nigga.
Nigger collarbone was broken and all that.
They'll exaggerate the time of the term of drinking or whatever they want to turn it into.
Get out there, Mitchell.
Yeah, Mr. Robinson, good luck to you.
That's what I will say.
Okay, so the NBA is making some more rules, changing some things.
We know Adam Silver likes to change some things.
So the NBA's Board of Governors has actually passed a new anti-tanking rule that includes expanding the draft lottery from 14 to 16 teams,
a relegation zone where the bottom three teams get penalized with lessen chances for the number of.
number one pick and flatten odds.
So basically there's a 71% chance the NBA's number one pick falls to a six place
to 12th place team and only a 29% chance it falls to a bottom five team.
So Mace, I know we're hearing about a lot of preventative measures, just trying to change
things, but what do you think of this new rule?
I don't like that at all.
Because if you're the 6 through 12 and you get the number one pick
or the you end up getting a ball pause for number one pick,
then the team that was already worse than you is getting a worse player.
I don't see how that helps.
I think they're definitely trying to keep people from tanking,
but that's not what you do.
That's not.
You got to figure out something else better than that
because that just makes this team worse for longer.
You know, the thing about the NBA is a new player coming to a sorry team.
It becomes his team.
If he starts going to a team that's that much better, even though he's the number one player,
he may not be the star of that team.
And I don't think that would change the whole trajectory of the number one players that come out.
So I'm not sure if that even works for the players.
That may be something they just came up to scare people out of tanking.
but that's definitely not the answer.
Yeah, I agree with Mason,
but I don't even know what the answer is
because it's like a catch-22.
You try to lose on purpose.
Because even if the system they have now,
look at Dallas.
Dallas ended up getting the number one pit.
And you got to think about this,
they're supposed to have at the time,
Anthony Davis,
Kyrie Irvin, which, you know,
he's been out for the season.
They have a pretty dis-teeatine.
They went to a championship of,
couple years ago. I don't know what the answer is, but I do agree with Mace because he's right.
You usually try to build your franchise around the number one pick. But if you go to,
let's say, for instance, right, I don't know who's at 6 through 12 or whatever, but let's
just say it's golden state. Are they going to build you, you know, even though stuff
Curry's old and everything, but you're not coming in being a man immediately. You know, can
contribute, et cetera?
I think maybe hit
hit everything
or hit the nail on the head paws
but I don't have an answer
I don't know I'm not
because I get what they're trying to do
but it's just fucked up
it's that bad that you when niggas
is trying to tank on purpose
because even if
even with this new system
the worst team still can get the number one pick
is just with that lottery
should they have a less chance again
than number one pick it's still not like they won't
get the number one pick so
I don't know.
I don't have an answer.
I think they said everything correctly from my point of view as well.
Yeah.
I mean, I know they're trying to.
I think you become a better product if the worst team can't get a better player,
that's going to make more games that people don't want to see from a visual standpoint.
If I already didn't want to see this team, right?
It's like before Charlotte got lamello ball.
I didn't want to see that team.
So if you're telling me they can't get lamello ball,
then we wouldn't be watching Charlotte right now.
We wouldn't be watching Charlotte at all.
But the point?
Yes.
Sorry.
No, I'm sorry.
No, I'm agreeing with you.
But what I'm saying is even if they don't change it,
the way it's formatted now,
still the worst team still may not get to know.
number one pick because of the lottery balls, pause.
You know what I'm saying?
It still may be a team that's like the seven for eight worst team to get the number one
pick.
It's just that the worst team, the way it's formatted now, the worst team gets the most
lottery balls.
Then the second worst teams get the second most lottery balls, pause, and the third
worst team, get the third worst.
So on and so forth.
So you may have a team with only one lottery ball, but if that lottery ball, but if that
lottery ball comes out, the worst team still don't get the number one pick.
You get what I'm saying?
Like, that's why I said I don't even know the answer.
All they're doing is saying they're going to expand it and they may take less lottery
balls away from the worst team.
So I don't, I really don't know the answer.
I was just added more context to what Mace was already saying.
This is, this is a way for Adam Silver to put more money in his pocket.
That's it I think.
Y'all want the first.
So y'all want the number one think or not.
I'm telling you that's what it's about.
So something interesting here, when they went to vote on it,
the only team that voted against it was the Grizzly.
So hearing that, Mace, is that surprised you?
Or you would have been curious to know, like,
more teams maybe would have been against it as well,
just only hearing that the Grizzlies was that lone vote.
How do you feel about that?
Why would the Grizzlies go against this?
I mean, they're going to get the player they want it anyway.
I think they want the A-Cuff kit.
If they get A-Cuff, then they'll probably try to move, you know,
J.
But other than that, I mean, I don't know why they upset,
because it ain't like they, maybe they're thinking
they'll be that team next year again
that are being in the lottery again.
So this is their future.
Their future looks like the lottery.
So this is probably why they're upset.
I take that better.
Yeah, they'll need these lotteries.
You said, actually, they need that.
You all think about when you're making these votes and making these decisions.
It's the owners, right?
So a lot of times you have owners where, to me, and I'm not saying they said this anything else.
to me, this is human video games for them.
You think about James Dolan.
He go down the Wall Street and deal with his rich billionaire funds.
What you're going to do with your players?
You're going to trade them?
I told them motherfuckers they better win or it's over with.
No, they don't really even know what.
All these people who are owners are not coming from basketball.
They hire basketball minds to help them look bigger
and better in the world that they're already
rich in. You think about Robert Power.
He's the owner of Memphis Grizzies.
He's worth $27 billion.
He's like, man, fuck all this
change and shit, man.
Look, man, I want to win and all that, but we're
doing too much changing. This ain't his
primary thing. He ain't get $27
billion from the NBA.
He's like, yo, I can't
say, I'm just imagining. Everything I'm
saying is speculation.
I don't know why we're doing all this changing
and shit, man. This ain't like
you and he might be talking to another billionaire owner nigger.
Nigger, did you change that when you grabbed your second billion?
I'm just giving you context to when you're making these votes.
Who's making the votes?
He may be a go against a grain ass nigger.
I ain't with it.
I ain't with it.
He my vote on record.
Tell me that I wasn't with it.
I can't tell you why he said this or whatever,
but you have to just think about who's voting when you make these votes.
Keep that into consideration as well.
I mean, at least for this, we know who's voting because all those other, like, oh, who's the work, who's the most overrated in the elite?
Like, just all those questions and votes.
Like, we typically don't know who the team was.
So it is interesting to have that piece of information.
But the Grizzlies being the only one at that is just like, dang.
I guess the whole rest of the league was on accord.
So Grizzlies was out the mix for that.
Okay.
So moving along to football.
The striker's running back, Josh Jacobs, was arrested after turning himself in.
He was booked on five chargers, battery and domestic abuse, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, strangulation, and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim.
So this is still an ongoing investigation, and he was reportedly dating a viral IG model and influencer.
It's a lot there.
Initial thoughts to hearing that news.
all I heard was strangulation and suffocation.
That's all I heard, strangulation.
And when you're a pro athlete,
in those two words are there, it's hard to give you the benefit of the doubt.
I don't know the story, so I can't say what he did,
but he turned himself in.
Hopefully this matter get resolved.
Hopefully it's untrue, because that's,
That's a lot.
That's a lot going on.
And when you love somebody that much, you got to leave them alone.
You definitely got to leave them alone.
If they come with strangulation, suffocation, what was the other four things you said?
Disorderly conduct, intimidation of a victim, damage to property and battery.
Yeah, yeah, that's a lot.
Battery, damage to property now.
I mean you don't own the place
that whatever is going on
got you tripping out crazy like that
gotta leave her alone
you definitely got to leave her alone
and you gotta get some help mentally
if that's what you think you gotta resort to
and this this is
another thing I don't know is spending
but just listening to it
guys go crazy over women they spent a lot of money on
and she don't act
and she don't act right
but this is when tricking ain't easy.
You got to stop this.
I'm telling you, if the money is not involved,
guys don't care that much.
It's just a little note to the players out there.
If you don't spend money, you don't care like that.
But if you spend a lot of money
and then she's somewhere she wasn't supposed to be,
you can get that kind of behavior out of guys.
And sometimes it's like the testosterone
and stuff like that that people take
pause. I don't know what's going on.
I'm just giving my
thoughts. I'm going to have to
disagree with me because I know
niggins who ain't got a dime who be losing
their mind like that.
Niggia ain't got a hot penny and be losing
their motherfucking money.
I ain't disagreeing what you
talking about this. He's a football player
so he got money. I know niggins
without a coin and be outside the apartment like,
yo, her light on?
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm telling you that right now, man.
Don't let it just,
don't let me fuck you up and take like you think.
Like you think it's just a,
it is,
you're not, niggas without a dime out there, my nigga.
So, so don't let it be.
thinking just about money.
Two things I say about this.
Now, what I'm about to say is this because I don't know much about this either,
and I don't like when we hear things, and because we hear this,
which you've been charged with, doesn't mean you've done it.
So let me start with that.
You know what I'm saying?
You know, just because you charge with it, that doesn't mean you've done it.
So I'm going to start with prefacing that.
Now back to the actual charges.
you got to remove
yourself and listen
this is an older
cam talking
and I know it's hard
you know pause
when you're younger
and especially your money
and you think you're above
the program
you have to remove yourself
from the situation
you have to
you have to
like May said
when you got to step outside
and say
you know I'm bugging
no
I know I'm bugging
you have to have that talk
with yourself
because I know somebody around you told you you bugging.
They had to.
And if they didn't, they bugging for not telling you that you bugging.
You can't fuck the bag up.
Because now what this leads to, I don't know, you know, he's a good player.
How good is he?
Is the Green Bay going to get him out of it?
You know, all this goes into, look, like I said, I don't know much about this, man.
So I don't want to say it.
I'm just saying the charges sound really bad, like May said.
When you hear those type of charges, you be like, yo, listen, that sounds pretty bad.
You have to remove yourself first, fellas.
You have to, like May said, if you're that deep, pause, I got to go.
No, no, no, honey.
Yeah, no, it ain't true as me.
You got to tell them that.
it ain't you, it's me.
Secondly,
secondly and lastly for me,
yeah,
secondly and lastly for me
is never right to do any
of these things that he's accused,
I'm going to use the word accused of doing,
but also advice the ladies as well.
This, and I don't know,
I'm just saying, I'm not talking about this situation,
I'm just talking about people in general.
you see some of these signs coming.
Most likely this didn't happen all of this,
but this wasn't the first time.
You see him when he raised up on you two weeks ago.
Oh now, this niggas, he's 511, 225 pounds.
Stocky, niggottie, you know.
Let me get the fuck out of here.
You see the signs.
So I'm not saying this situation.
Lady, I'm just giving you some advice.
Get out of there.
Don't wait.
until it happens, if you think it's happening, leave before it actually happens in any situation.
Because, you know, if it got four legs in the tail and it look like a dog, it's probably a dog.
You know what I'm saying?
So I'll say that.
Lastly, I'll say this real quick about just in general as far as females are concerned.
Nothing to do with this situation,
nothing to do what I'm talking about.
Females.
Y'all, y'all, like I said, I want to be clear on this.
I'm not talking about this situation or domestic violence situations.
I'm talking about pure females.
Y'all know the type of niggas,
y'all niggas be dealing with.
But you think he's going to change.
Or you think, and I'm not even talking about violently.
You're like, yo, this thing is like, he's a little weird.
I'm going to see what's going on.
Yeah, he's kind of weird, but.
I don't know.
If he seems weird, he's weird.
And then when shit don't go right, you dog him out.
I knew when I see you,
when there was something wrong with you.
You know he was watching.
You know that he was doing him.
You know he was doing a lot of weird shit.
But you wait until shit go left to start throwing it in his niggis' faces.
Now, when I found the doodles in his drawer,
I said, you know this, ladies.
But you wait till shit go left
and throw him under the bus.
That's foul, too.
Get out of there.
Get out of there when you notice the problem.
Yeah, she saw him with a thong on at Coachella.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Why he got the same tan line as you, force.
Y'all got the same tan line.
Go on, man.
You knew it wasn't right.
Yeah, then you want to go crazy.
like, yo, this zesty-ass-nigger, you already knew.
You knew he was DM-D-M-in of a man?
You knew this.
But then you won't throw it in his face later when they go left.
Yeah.
I do want to be clear again, because I think this is honestly a great, candid conversation
because it's an ongoing investigation, like I said, but just in these situations,
all you have is your reputation.
So even though it's allegations right now
and we're still gonna see what the outcome is,
like just when these things come out,
whether it's for the man or the woman,
like it's just all around.
It's just a bad look.
So to their points, like,
it's just containing, controlling,
just understanding who you are
because it should, it just nothing should get to this point
whether it happened, didn't happen, allegation,
just across the board.
It's just, it's not worth it.
It's never, ever, ever, ever, ever.
ever worth it. So great candid conversation. Not even just taking away from this specific situation,
but just situations in general, because we hear about these things, whether it be athletes,
whether it be musicians, whether it be just your everyday people like all the time. So
just getting a little crazy, getting a little crazy. Okay. So last thing, before we wrap,
we got some news on Tyreek Hills. So he's actually been showing off his DJ skills while on
live streams. And on the flip, it's also been rumored that Baltimore is a top rumored destination
for him. So, Mace, what could you see happening for him next? I know we've talked about, like,
just live streaming as Cam would call it twitching, kicking, but it's just the new generation thing.
But Mace, what's your opinion on Tyree Kiel getting into potentially the music stuff?
I like it for Tyreek Hill Paws.
I think if Ty and I also think it's
to Baltimore, I'm a Raven fan.
I got to go with the Ravens if he goes to Baltimore.
Now you fall on the plate.
I just got, it's too much speed.
It's too much speed.
That would be way too much speed.
And I know one of them,
my favorite team is in that same division,
but it's too much speed.
It would be too much speed.
What team is your team is your team in that division?
Cam, it's too early, Ken.
I'm trying to figure out because my team is in that division.
What team is your interest in that division?
I'm glad who got a new team in the division?
Who's the team in the division?
That would be my new team in the division in the division.
Yeah, well, I thought you said, my bad,
Not that you say you're your favorite team is in that division already.
I'm misunderstood.
I'm lost, too.
It's not just you.
Yeah.
We already know how it goes in that division, so.
Yeah, I was trolling them because that team is in that division.
I was just trolling.
Yeah, mobile team is in the division.
Yeah.
I say this.
that I think that that would make Baltimore really good if he comes back with the speed that he has.
He's coming back off a severe injury.
So we got to see if he still have that same speed coming back off this injury.
If he does have close to that speed that he has come off his injury, that puts a lot.
That puts the Ravens.
I mean, every year the Ravens were the favorite to win at the last couple years.
They just haven't got over the hill.
no pun intended with
Tyreek Hill
but I'm just trying to say
you get Tyreek Hill in there
you'll be the favorites
by more than a lot
but I got to see
how he looks coming off
that injury
as far as the DJ and gig
like I ain't knocking it
man everybody need a hobby
I like
you know what I do like
and we see this a lot
when players come towards the end of their career
and I'm not saying Tyreek Hill
towards the end of his career
you see them start doing
analyzing games
like you know you got
Draymond Green to be up there on the set of the games.
And, you know, even Danny Green, even though he's retired now, he was doing games when they were ending.
So people are starting to think about other things to do outside of their career.
I just don't like it when it's interfering with the team and taking away from the team as far as too much attention getting noticed from what you're doing as far as when you're playing.
But I'm being a DJ, I'm knocking that shit.
It ain't football season.
hurt. You probably pick the hobby up being injured.
Yeah, sounds cool to me. Shout out Tyreek Hills because, I mean, who knows?
Like, the DJing industry is a whole thing in itself. So, but we're also going to hope
that he is healthy enough to continue to play. Now, do I, like, do I want him on the Ravens?
Probably not. You know, you could go to a different team selfishly. But yeah, we will see what
happens. In the comments down below, let us know what y'all think about Tyreek Hill, either DJing
or potentially being on the Ravens.
Yes, Mace, you have a comment?
Yeah, this is really bad for the stillest.
And this is definitely bad for Camstein, yes.
Not too, too bad.
They'll be back.
You know, you never know.
Yeah, still as this is really bad.
This is really bad.
To each their own.
Let us know.
Yeah, we'll see.
Let us know what y'all think in the comments down below.
But y'all, that is all the time that we have for today.
Thank y'all for watching.
And as always, it is,
what it is.
