You better wear that only in the house because if a nigga you don't like the water on you you're gonna be fried bro you bugging you better wear that only in the house because if a you don't like the water on you you're going to the hospital man it's a dangerous hat man beware i wouldn't wear that outside you don't know who we who don't like us and who do pause this is it i figured you was going to win something else. Hey, man, I got to fuck with the people who be winning, man. Shamguard and all that.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Kyrie sending his jersey to me tomorrow. I got Dirk Nowinski's jersey on the way. Shamguard jersey from LaSalle on the way. I told niggas, send me everything. I need the Western Conference final. I got the whole everything coming. Sham, send me everything. The whole week is Dallas Maverick week.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Okay. Sham, cut that out, Sham. You know Cam is not a Mavs fan. I'm a Sham fan. Look, I'm not going to lie. My team is really the Spurs. We ain't shit. I don't even pump it. I could be talking mad shit about how Wimby getting this and Wimby that.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Y'all never hear me brag. It's quiet. I just shut up because we ain't shit. I don't brag about the awards. I don't brag about being nominated for defensive player rookie of the year. Y'all niggas never heard me talk about the Spurs at all, and that's really my team because it ain't nothing to talk about. Now, when they do something that we deserve to talk about, I talk about it, but it ain't nothing to talk about. Now when they do something that they deserve to talk about,
Starting point is 00:02:45 talk about it, but I ain't going to switch sides. But we do have to realize that San Antonio is in Texas, and so is Dallas. What did you mean by you ain't going to pump it? Yeah, that was crazy. If you want to be technical, to be totally honest with you, that hat, I'm just saying that looks like, you look like a male stripper, pause. If you want to be technical, to be totally honest with you, I'm just saying you look like a male stripper.
Starting point is 00:03:07 Pause. If you want to be technical. I didn't want to say nothing since we started. That's the shit the male strippers come in the house talking about. Did somebody say there was a fire in here? And the music come on. and the music come on. Nigga says,
Starting point is 00:03:31 lady, somebody said it was a fire in here. That's that they be wearing. Pause. I was trying to chill. Starting on a Monday like this is crazy. That's crazy man I missed you too Paws man It's good to see you man
Starting point is 00:03:54 Yeah that was a good You know we from Lennox We gotta be quick on our toes Paws Stat come on, Stat. What a great way to start the show. We have another interesting way to start the show because I'm sure
Starting point is 00:04:11 y'all have been getting tagged in the It Is What It Ain't. So, Anthony Edwards pulled out a new Adidas basketball campaign advertising his shoe. It's called the Sneak Disc. It prints out receipts of negative comments. And he said he sees all the hate. His friend read the receipts out loud. The first being from Carmelo
Starting point is 00:04:30 Anthony and the second from Cam where his best friend reads to me, he's an all-star, but he's not a superstar yet. Ant-Man said, fuck buddy. Then his best friend said it is what it ain't. So first and foremost, what do y'all have to say about the ad when you heard it? And what were you guys' thoughts when you seen it? I'm going to let Cam go first on this, Paul. Yeah, I don't know if y'all seen the beginning of the show this morning, but no disrespect. I ain't mean no disrespect this morning when it started to show off and all that. But listen, to be totally honest, when I seen the commercial, I thought it was dope.
Starting point is 00:05:12 First of all, I thought it was a really dope commercial. I thought it was good. I don't necessarily really fuck with the sneakers, but I thought that the commercial was really dope. And when I heard what he said, I'm like, that ain't really a diss. What I said is, or what they said I said was, because I don't even be on Twitter, it was like Twitter receipts, that Cam said you're an all-star, not a superstar.
Starting point is 00:05:33 I don't even remember saying that, but if I did say that, it must have been last season because all season, I've been having Anthony Edwards back the whole season. I don't even know where this came from. Pause. But to get my name mentioned in the national campaign, I can't be mad at that and I'll show even though they tried to take a
Starting point is 00:05:49 jab at us. But they didn't say Skip Bayless. They didn't say Stephen A. Smith. They didn't say Shannon Sharp. They didn't say Matt Barnes. Shout out to Matt. Stack five. No disrespect to my brothers. They could've had a... They didn't say J. Will. Niggas know they watching. Nigga, I J. Will. They know, niggas know,
Starting point is 00:06:05 they watching, nigga. I'm the voice, nigga. I am the voice, so niggas pay attention to what I say and I appreciate y'all paying attention
Starting point is 00:06:13 to what I say. Now, what I will say is this, even though I did a little freestyle this morning, you know, no problem. I'm not gonna even go back
Starting point is 00:06:21 and forth, man, because I'm a fan. Like I said, I'm really an Anthony Edwards fan and he's 22. You're supposed to have that attitude when you're 22 years old. And I dig it.
Starting point is 00:06:33 You tried that with Kyrie. Try that back up. Yeah. How'd that work out? But I like his attitude, to be totally honest with you. My real gripe, to be honest with you, was Adidas. So Adidas, this is what y'all want to do? Because Anthony, he's the talent.
Starting point is 00:06:55 I deal with the bosses. Adidas, this is what y'all want to do? I'm just asking. This is what y'all want to do? Because listen, when I had Sebastian Telford on the show, and he was dissing y'all, y'all called me and was like, yo, could we work something out? Like, so y'all don't talk about Adidas on the show. And I'm like, I don't got no beef with y'all. So that's Sebastian Telford's beef with y'all.
Starting point is 00:07:15 I can give y'all his number and y'all can work out whatever y'all going to work out. But I don't have a problem with you. That's what I told them. But, you know, I was going to let it go, but they all in the comments and everything else. So what I did was, like, you know, they'll show the commercial and they'll be like, that's right. Little shit, nothing crazy. It wasn't nothing bad.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Yeah. But what I did do was this. I have a female that I'm working with this football season. Her name is Arabia Iman. She's a beast. I can't wait to look forward to her. She's a football analyst. Me and her are going to be working very, very closely this football season. And what we did was we put together a little clip that I'm about to play for y'all. All the people that got hurt wearing Adidas. Derrick Rose, Amar Shepard,
Starting point is 00:08:08 Leon Messi, John Wall, Kevin Ware, RG3. Matter of fact, I don't even have to do it. Let's get Ray go to the clip, Nick. Adidas. A Ray B. Eman.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Here we go. Injuries can be the worst part of the game. And when they happen at the highest level of professional sports, a lot is on the line. Health and well-being, money, career longevity, endorsements. Speaking of endorsements here are some of the most notable sports injuries across sports genres while the player was wearing Adidas. Let's start with Kevin Ware. This was one of the most gruesome sports injuries ever. Louisville versus Duke. Kevin Ware went up for a block and came down snapped his leg in half. Reggie Bush sustained a PCL injury in his second season in the NFL.
Starting point is 00:08:49 A year later, he had an MCL sprain, then later injured that same knees meniscus. Reggie Bush entered the NFL in 2006 and had a portfolio of off field branding deals, including Adidas, which didn't end until 2013. In that time, Reggie Bush missed at least a cumulative season's worth of games due to injuries. 49ers running back Frank Gore sustained a knee injury in the end zone during a playoff game. He was assisted by medical personnel as he was unable to immediately get himself up. Over the course of his long, illustrious career, Kevin Garnett battled multiple leg injuries.
Starting point is 00:09:20 He was a marquee endorser for Adidas. In 2012, rookie sensation Robert Griffin III breathed life into the Redskins organization and had fans on an absolute high. While that high quickly turned into a low one, he tore his ACL and LCL in a playoff matchup versus the Seahawks. After Tracy McGrady sustained a knee injury and underwent surgeries, the quickness and first step T-Mac once had was never the same. Derrick Rose tore his ACL while driving to the basket in the first game of the 2012 playoffs. All injuries are unfortunate, but this one felt especially tragic
Starting point is 00:09:51 because we all saw the impact he had on that team and on the game as a whole. The list really goes on. Here are a few more injuries players sustained while wearing Adidas. Iman Shumpert tore his ACL during a first round playoff game. Donovan Mitchell was expected to miss game five versus the Celtics this year with a calf injury.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Two years ago, Damian Lillard left Portland's game versus Miami with a calf injury. That same year, James Harden was expected to miss a month with a foot injury. And it's not just the NBA and NFL. This year, it was reported that Lionel Messi would not play in Argentina's two friendlies against the U.S. due to a right leg injury. Paulo Dybala suffered a left quad injury and was facing four to eight weeks of rest, putting the World Cup in jeopardy. This year, Mohamed Salah injured his hamstring in Egypt's draw against Ghana. Former number one tennis player, Anna Ivanovic, retired from tennis at the age of 29 due to injuries. Is it a curse? Is it a coincidence? Is it a pattern? Let's talk about it. Now Adidas, this could go on because what I did do was reach out to Kevin Ware.
Starting point is 00:10:51 For people that don't know who Kevin Ware is, that's the guy in Louisville whose leg actually, his bone came through his skin. He's wearing Adidas socks, Adidas sneakers and everything else. So I'm reaching out to him and we're getting ready to do the Kevin Ware documentary. It's not locked in. I got resources in my team reaching out. So we're going to work on that this week. But that's my goal this week. We're going to do the Kevin Ware documentary.
Starting point is 00:11:18 Then I'm going to reach out to Kevin Garnett and everybody else that we just saw get hurt. And we're going to put the Adidas, why do players and athletes get hurt? Because it's not just basketball. It's not just football, it's soccer, it's tennis. And the list goes on for different sports. So we going to start the hashtag pray for Ant-Man, but Adidas, let's do it.
Starting point is 00:11:41 I'm excited. Wow. And these are injuries that were like career shifting. Yeah, the tennis player that we just watched in the clips, he was 28 years old and had to retire at 28 years old. Kevin Ware had to retire. These are people that's not even 30 years old that had to retire wearing Adidas. And Derrick Rose was never the same after that. So we're not even
Starting point is 00:12:06 bringing up Tracy McGrady. We missed out on the whole T-Max situation. Adidas. This is Adidas, but we're going to do in-depth documentaries on these things. So we'll have plenty of time to talk about it. Wow.
Starting point is 00:12:22 So it is what it is. See what happens. Wow. Yeah. So it is what it is. Yes. Yes. See what happened. I just said this the other day. These are not the guys you want to get in a circle spat with. Oh, no, Murda. We going to do a whole Adidas, why players get hurt wearing Adidas, but we going to single out Kevin Ware.
Starting point is 00:12:43 A lot of people don't know Kevin Ware. And before you Google who Kevin Ware is, I know we showed a clip of him. What's that shit they put on the news murder when they be like, now this may be hurting for the eyes or something, but they be like, viewer discretion advised. They disclaim right there.
Starting point is 00:12:59 If you Google Kevin Ware's leg, viewer discretion advised. But you'll see the Adidas socks and the Adidas on. Athletes, be careful. Be careful, I'm telling you now. Because the list of all-stars that were potential superstars or superstars that was never the same, you're going to be shocked about it.
Starting point is 00:13:17 We got all summer, though. We got all summer. But I got love for Ant-Man. I love the commercial. I thought it was dope. But Adidas we on ya pause
Starting point is 00:13:27 wow I can't restore it crazy yeah I have nothing else to add I want to ask you how did you feel about the approach we know how y'all feel about Adidas but how did you feel about the approach? We know how y'all feel about Adidas, but how did you feel about the approach of the commercial? I thought it was a little, I thought he missed his opportunity.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Actually, I think like we gave him the platform to end the idea of how to make his sneakers go through the roof. And that was when you dunk on somebody take the shoe off and kiss and kiss the shoe you know bring the attention to the shoe don't bring the attention it's never smart to bring your attention to somebody who will go pause harder than you would go that that's that's crazy because if it comes into a a debate we actually win because we have the least to lose. They have more to lose. I thought it was a poor strategy. He was better off just bringing Cam on the arm thing.
Starting point is 00:14:33 That would have been fire. You know what I'm saying? Bring out the pink edition and do Jimmy V week or something like that. The whole thing about it, not to cut you a murder, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:14:47 That's why, to me, my personal opinion, I don't know if Ant-Man or whoever keeps up with the show, me and you both, and Stack, we don't do nothing but show him mad love all the time. This was an Adidas play. There's no way that Ant-Man kept some receipt from whenever I said whatever, even if I ever said it. He didn't do that, bro. You didn't do that.
Starting point is 00:15:06 That was Adidas. That's why I'm more disappointed in them, because y'all should know better. Y'all should know better. I like Airman's attitude to do what you got to do, but Adidas, y'all should know better. Y'all should know better. But what you just said, Murda, was very, very smart
Starting point is 00:15:21 and correct, because they got more to lose than us. You're absolutely right. Well said. Okay, I guess we'll see what happens. And y'all stay tuned for the documentary. Okay, so also on the topic of Ant-Man, it was also reported him and the Timberwolves
Starting point is 00:15:39 chose not to participate in the Inside the NBA interviews after their Game 4 win, standing in solidarity with kat and rodrigo bear against criticism from draymond green so draymond green was at the inside the nba table so do you like their choice to do this and not basically go to do the post game interview with draymond or do you feel like it's not that big of a deal this was after their win that big of a deal this was after their win um i think i think either way you look at it they're still kind of being too touchy because if you're gonna be this way when when you win i could only imagine how you would be after a loss you know this this type of team got the got to have more
Starting point is 00:16:22 more mental fortitude than that you know, this is a sign of weakness. I don't know if they think it's a sign of solidarity, but it's really a sign of weakness because you got to do the media. And when you start ducking certain people because of their criticism, what people are basically saying for the young athletes out there is that because you try to be so social media all the time, then you should it should be understandable that it comes with the territory. You're not going to be super lit and then don't have to talk during these times that that comes with the territory. This is the subject we had before when we was talking about women's sports. People want the fame.
Starting point is 00:17:09 They want the money. But they don't want the accountability. And that's sad because when you don't want the accountability, you'll never end up what you were supposed to end up. And that's sad. Usually, I would agree with 100 hundred percent when may say a hundred percent i usually but the only reason i'm going to disagree is because when me and mace uh started speaking and got back cool again and we're just talking about niggas we gonna fuck with it pause and
Starting point is 00:17:41 niggas that we not and and it's no turning back for certain niggas and certain niggas we gonna fuck with it, pour us the niggas that we not and it's no turning back for certain niggas and certain niggas we could be like, we'll be making an exception for them. We like putting a list together like, yo, these niggas is dead forever. We might could speak to these niggas. We might can't. So when we had that conversation, we agreed on just about all of the niggas that we might fuck with and all the niggas that's definitely out the loop with me and him forever and the reason i bring that up murder is because uh what we were saying was when when and i know it's different i know it's just a little different hear me out for a second we were saying when certain shit go too far on our end or the other end, where it's just no turning back.
Starting point is 00:18:28 And Draymond choked Rudy out on TV. Oh, yeah, I forgot about that. Yeah, you're right. You know what I'm saying? That nigga choked him out for about 47 seconds. I forgot that was Rudy Gobert. You're right. Yeah, so now I'm a guy that was really open. You're right. Yeah, so now I got to go sit up with you.
Starting point is 00:18:50 I got to go sit up with you. You're a little wild sitting there just letting them ask some questions. Yeah, that's what I said. No apology or nothing. That's what I was saying. I usually would agree with you, but come on, man. You ain't going to choke me out on TV for 47 seconds and then sit there and tell me. So how'd you feel about the game tonight?
Starting point is 00:19:10 Nah, man. Nah, bro. You choked me out on national pause, B. Nah, man. And I feel his teammates, because they like, nah, bro. If that nigga choked Rudy out, bro. You know what I'm saying? If Rudy ain't fucking on him, we ain't fucking with him.
Starting point is 00:19:26 I'm not the biggest Rudy Gobert fan, but I do respect that decision because that was type embarrassing. Why wouldn't they get together and go see Draymond then? All these other niggas taller than Draymond. Huh? Niggas, you know, Draymond running around here like. If y'all really wolves. Yeah. If they really wolves. Draymond might laugh at niggas, you know, Draymond running around here like- If they really wolves. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:45 If they really wolves. Draymond might laugh at niggas, man. Draymond like, word, which are... Niggas, Draymond- Get out. Draymond like Deebo when he seen the gun. Niggas said, what you going to do with that? But make me mad. Ain't Draymond care about them niggas.
Starting point is 00:20:00 You got a thing with Draymond? Draymond don't give a fuck about them niggas, man. Yeah, that's exactly right. Okay, so just in general, because obviously Draymond's still a current player, how do you guys feel about him being at that table and then costing the interview with Ant-Man? Because we understand the principle of it, but how do you feel about him being up there and it's just like, dang, we ain't going up there
Starting point is 00:20:26 because Draymond's up there. I really, truly believe other than that incident, they got to grow up because, yeah, we could use that thing that Killer is talking about, that he did choke Rudy Gobert out. But I'm saying even if that's not the case, people are just very sensitive mentally. So I'm going to take a new way to do sports commentating from now on.
Starting point is 00:20:53 I'm only talking about the people who do work. I'm not even talking about, so if I don't talk about you, it's going to be because you did nothing out there. And that wouldn't be really that good. Everybody can be Dick vatel you know what do you think killer and just so i answer the question correctly exactly what was the question uh stat basically how do you feel about a current player costing that interview to them because i could see well i'm not gonna say i could see but obviously he's not a reporter he is for that time being but how do you feel about that I think it's a fucked up
Starting point is 00:21:29 situation because to be totally honest with you and I could be wrong but for me I was one of the people before we started doing this here and Draymond always talk about the new media the new media the new media and for him to have a successful podcast and then get invited in up to TNT and you know have that balance between being able to do linear television and still be the person you want to be on your podcast I thought it was really dope um I know TNT is like damn this is messed up but what I was talking about with my nigga Larry is that when you do things traditionally, and I'm not talking about being a podcaster or an analyst or anything else. I'm not even talking about just Draymond's attitude on the court.
Starting point is 00:22:16 It's the reason he has the endorsements. He's wild on the court, but he speaks very well, and he has a lot of knowledge of the game of basketball. So you sit there and you watch him on TNT, they say, we're going to go to break. And when they go to break, his commercial is the first commercial for a car or something, a Kia, I don't know what it is. And he gets these sponsorships
Starting point is 00:22:35 for thinking outside the box. I think it's messed up because it caused them to interview, but it's just something that TNT is going to have to think about moving forward. But I know Ted Turner, and I know Shaq, and I know Kenny. I don't know Charles Barkley that well. Shaq and Kenny, and Charles Barkley, just from knowing him off television, them is the type of niggas to be like, man, fuck them niggas. Because them niggas is always talking about how niggas is crybabies, and you know they come from, niggas don't want to do it. Man, fuck them niggas. Because them niggas is always talking about how niggas is crybabies,
Starting point is 00:23:05 and you know they come from... Niggas don't want to do... Man, fuck them niggas. Yo, I'm going to fuck if them niggas want to do the interview. Now, fuck them niggas. We here. Them is them type of niggas. So I think if they...
Starting point is 00:23:16 Because even when Draymond... When the series was leaving Dallas, when they won that one game, and they had to go back to Minnesota, Draymond couldn't go back to Minnesota because he had prior obligations and Charles Barkley and Kenny and Shaq was like come on Dray you got to come back to Minnesota they liked having him up there so he's like yo come on you gotta go he's like man if it wasn't for my son I'd definitely go he said well your son could come back like they it seemed like they wanted him to roll and it seems like it's one
Starting point is 00:23:43 of them crews where if they have your back, they don't really give a fuck about the talent because, to be honest with you, it's not a lot of players today that's better than Shaq. I'm not saying it isn't any. And it's not a lot of players that's better than Charles Barkley, whether he has a ring or not. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:24:02 So their attitude is like whatever. Yeah, and this is the final season of that group anyways. No, no, no, no. They talked about it. They got one more season. Next season is the last year. Yeah, next season is the last season. Yeah, next season is the last season,
Starting point is 00:24:22 and Ernie said that it may go on further than that. You got a whole year to figure it out. NBC is putting that narrative out there like Ted Turner won't pay 2.5 for the NBA. He has a year to think about it. Ted Turner might come in at the 11th hour and be like, fuck y'all, 3 billion, nigga. Then what? So we got a year to talk about that though yeah okay moving along we got an update for the mike tyson jake paul fight it will be postponed after
Starting point is 00:24:56 tyson's ulcer flare-up after follow-up consultation doctor said it would be best if he did minimal to light training over the next couple weeks mike tyson then tweeted i'm now feeling 100 even though i don't need to be to fight jake paul so at this point this fight is kind of bringing a lot of controversy because people are feeling like maybe jake paul shouldn't fight mike tyson there's a lot of back and forth want to know you guys position on it and then how do you feel about the fight in general at this point in time? That doesn't even make sense. Like, I knew when that also thing happened, they was going to try to postpone the fight.
Starting point is 00:25:38 I knew it had to happen because they don't need Jake Paul to knock Mike out. I'm telling you. I probably would never watch boxing again. I already saw one crazy knockout this weekend. If Mike goes down, I don't know what I would do. Pause. For real. That would be catastrophic.
Starting point is 00:26:00 For real. If I'm going to get knocked out by Jake Paul. And I'm starting to think it might be on its way. Sorry, Mike. Blame killer killer roses. What the fuck I got to do with this? What the fuck I got to do with it? I ain't got nothing to do with that.
Starting point is 00:26:25 Look, my thing is this with this situation. If they're telling you, I'm a person who over the last 20 years had stomach problems on and off and never had an ulcer, but that ain't nothing to play with. You know what I'm saying? So, best thing is to postpone the fight, because if Mike get punched in the stomach and the shit flare back up, then it's going to be like, nah, I should have postponed it because of my ulcer. I'd rather have no excuses.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Secondly, what I would say is this, how do we really know it's an ulcer? We don't really know what it is. That might be what they're telling us. We don't know if a nigga relapsed. We don't know what happened. I don't want to throw that on a nigga. You know what I'm saying? I don't want to do that,
Starting point is 00:27:10 but you know, also sounds reasonable. Also sounds reasonable. So I just think that Mike, whether he says he needs to be 100% or not, be 100% Mike, because at the end of the day, you're almost 60, you're not saying you%, Mike, because at the end of the day, you're almost 60.
Starting point is 00:27:30 You're not saying you can't do it at this age, but I'd rather you be 100% because I don't think Mike Tyson makes excuses. Well, yes, he did. He said his back was broke. Pause one fight. He said, spinal. You remember that? He said, my back is broke. He said, what kind of break, Mike?
Starting point is 00:27:46 Nigga said, spinal. Yo, if he hit Mike in his side and Mike pooped on himself in the ring, it'd be over. Yeah, man. Mike, be 100, man. We looking for 100% Mike Tyson, man. Yeah, we need 100, man. We looking for 100% Mike Tyson, man. Yeah, we need 100% Pauls. So with that being said, like, do y'all still want to see the fight?
Starting point is 00:28:12 Because that's really, like, the argument right now. People are saying Jake Paul should probably not fight Mike Tyson because of the health issues and he's older. But do you guys still feel like it's a fair fight or no? He might be Ryan Garcia. You know, he might be tricking him. We don't know. We don't know these days.
Starting point is 00:28:37 You gotta fight the fight to find out. Um, man, once you get in there ain't no excuses bro that's it we don't want to hear you older you younger without once you get in pause you're in it doesn't matter once you go on that basketball court you're on the court once you get in that football field niggas don't want to hear it you could have sat out so if he gets in the ring he gets in the ring, he gets in the ring. If he dies, he dies. That's basically what you said. You said Drago. Now if nigga Jake Paul killed Mike Tyson,
Starting point is 00:29:11 Jake Paul gonna be the most hated morning nigga in America, nigga. It's going, Jake Paul can't come back to America, nigga, put Mike to bed, nigga. Rocky IV Mike. I think it's either way. I think it's like that even if he beat Mike. People are gonna take it personal.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Yeah. We'll see. We will see. Okay, and then Deontay Wilder, speaking of knockouts, got knocked out by Zayn in the fifth round in a rather disappointing result for Wilder. What are you guys' thoughts of the results? What do you guys think his next step should be?
Starting point is 00:29:42 How are we feeling about that knockout? of the results what do you guys think his next step should be how we feeling about that knockout his next step should be vacation for real um the way he got knocked out it was like it was exactly what i the reason why i said he need better skills because it was the way he missed the guy trying to punch him that had him all off balance. That allowed a guy to get a clean shot on him. Pause. It was like he got ran down on in the streets. That's the way he got hit because when he missed, he went past the guy and the guy just caught him.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Like, you know, almost like with his back turned and then punched him while he was looking over his shoulder it was it looked like a street fight with with boxing gear on that's basically what it looked like and the way he fell back and and the guy just waved him off i was like man it's over for it it's over for it i don't like to ever say it's over for it. It's over for it. I don't like to ever say it's over for people, but it's over for him. It's over for him because this the last time he got knocked down, the time before that he got knocked out, the time before that he got knocked out. So he's been on the floor in his last four fights. So I think it's time to stop for you, like seriously get hurt. like seriously get hurt and you know when i when i did my little research on on boxing it seemed like after people get knocked out repeatedly they don't ever get better so two or three knockouts back to back it's time it's time to start commentating? Basically,
Starting point is 00:31:30 it reminded me a lot of when Costas Zou hit Zab Judah. The nigga hit Deontay. He tried to look at the ref and say, why he hitting me? And spun around and got hit again. Nigga started talking to the ref, P, after nigga punched the nigga. Nigga said, what's going on to the ref?
Starting point is 00:31:46 The nigga ran down on him. It's kind of like, and Zab, my nigga, no disrespect to Zab, but we all seen it. That cost a zoo punch. That nigga Zab got up and started pointing at the referee. And then after the fight, he tried to fight the referee. He was in the ring going crazy. So, um.
Starting point is 00:32:06 Why was he trying to fight the ref? After stopping the fight. You ever seen that? After the whole fight was over, he went in there and choked the ref and was going in the ring going crazy for stopping the fight. His dad was like, Zab, nah, they supposed to stop it. Because it's a rule now. I don't think this rule was around the 80s and 90s,
Starting point is 00:32:23 but it's one of them things, if you fall and get up and fall again they got to stop it so um what i will say sometimes just your legs gave out and you your brain want to fight but your legs are gone yeah he doesn't jog i told this i told this last week just, Murda, is that they're calling me for boxing the new expert because I said all this. I'm just telling you what they said. Maurice, ask Maurice when he comes this week. I'm the expert when it comes to boxing.
Starting point is 00:32:56 I said all this last week. I said, I'm telling you. This is word to everything I love. I thought you was the guy that said, when you're an expert, you don't have to say it. I'm telling you. You're right. to say it. I'm telling you. You're right. You're right.
Starting point is 00:33:06 I'm telling you what Maurice put on his page. I didn't know. I didn't know. That's what they said. That's what they, Maurice told me. That's what they calling me. I didn't, I'm not a self-proclaimed expert. I'm not your self-proclaimed expert.
Starting point is 00:33:22 I'm just telling you what the streets is talking about. They ain't saying it. It's what Maurice said. All right. Maurice said it. They said it. Yes. That's what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:33:32 I'm not a... You're a self-proclaimed expert. I'm just telling you what's going on outside because... I'm not self-proclaimed, killer. I'm not self-proclaimed. This is what they're putting on their shirts. This is what they're putting on their shirts. They said they sell loud in them shirts.
Starting point is 00:33:46 I'm an expert. Yeah, okay. Look, I'm not trying to be an expert. I'm just telling you what's going on. That's what the people like. I'm not trying to take your spot. I'm just telling you what was told to be out there, bro. I'm just telling you.
Starting point is 00:34:00 Welcome to the expert family. I don't want to be there. I don't want to be an expert. I don't have to be there I don't want to be an expert I don't have to be a self-proclaimed expert it's like one of them shits it already says it I don't have to say it it's already there like a halo it's already there
Starting point is 00:34:15 one of them situations I'll give you an honorary expert I'm fine murder that could be all you when Maurice comes on the show this week I'm going to just remind me Nick to bring this up When Maurice comes on the show this week, I'm going to just, remind me, Nick, to bring this up when Maurice comes on the show, what they've been talking about. Because anyway, like I was saying before I
Starting point is 00:34:32 was so rudely interrupted, is that I said this shit last week. I said, niggas keep trying to sneak overseas and get, P, I ain't say this. Niggas keep trying to sneak overseas, get beat up, come on at 4 in the morning when nobody know the time
Starting point is 00:34:48 and think it's going to get swept under the rug. Well, not this time, Deontay. And you said if you lose that you're not boxing again. I don't know if he's going to keep his word on that because I don't know what his money like or the investments, but Mace made a great point. The way he got knocked out, his legs was flat out straight. It's like, bro, my nigga, I believe he won one fight in between the Tyson Fury knockout
Starting point is 00:35:14 and the time he got knocked out before that, Mace. But Mace was right. He'd been on the ground about four times, at least out the last five, six fights. It doesn't look better. We're looking at your training and when i'm looking at you train he let his friend train him it looks crazy bro and i'm like uh you know sin called me earlier uh this morning with this talking about unless i need to old to learn how to box and sin agree with me then Then he called me back to him. I matter of fact, I don't agree.
Starting point is 00:35:46 You're never too old to learn anything. I said, forget it, man. He's 38. You know, his original new coach was, what's his original coach name? Mark Breeland. Yeah. That's who he needed.
Starting point is 00:36:01 He let, he got mad with Mark Breeland cause he threw the towel in because he really cared for him when it came to that that fairy fight and he was just never the same after that breland was the little expertise that he did have in this corner yep and then just for stat purposes this was his fourth loss in five fights and then to co sign what Cam did say he is being called the expert. So it's not you're not making this up. I don't want your spot bro.
Starting point is 00:36:37 You can have it. I'm just telling you what they was talking about. Welcome to the family killer. That's what I want for you. I don't want it. You're a family killer. That's what I want for you. Pause. I want expert status for you. I don't want it. You're fine. Why did you bring it up if you don't want it?
Starting point is 00:36:55 Because I'm just telling you, you say you don't really be on social media, so I was trying to tell you what's going on on social media. That's it. You say you don't be on there like that. I was telling you what they was talking about, man. I was just telling you, bro.
Starting point is 00:37:12 Okay. The boxing expert. Yeah, just boxing. Ain't nothing else. You know, just telling you what they said. Okay. Maurice has a fine way of finding information I gotta tell him
Starting point is 00:37:26 okay we're gonna go to break when we return you got some WNBA updates from Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky don't go anywhere can you tell us a little bit more about that I mean is there I was selling crack on a private jet
Starting point is 00:37:43 I don't get the shot make sure you go online Is there... I was selling crack on a private jet. I didn't get the shot. Dipset Couture. Make sure you go online to dipsetcouture.us to order some shirts and everything else. So I'm going to get some cheeks after this. For jewelry and bikes, nigga. Black Benz's and white Vigas. Now I'm out here and I'm looking for more chandeliers and light fixtures.
Starting point is 00:38:03 Now, I don't like niggas. Which roll me? I'm a high nigga, but this 44 turn a mic to Jordan. I'm looking, more chandeliers and light fixtures. Nah, I don't like niggas. Which roll me? I'm a high nigga, but this 44 turn a Michael Jordan. I'm looking, say, take flight, nigga. Welcome back. Now let's get into our Underdog Fantasy Picks of the Day. So Thursday, game one of the finals. The Mavs will play the Celtics.
Starting point is 00:38:19 Underdog's fantasy has Luka at half, a triple-double. Do you have him higher or lower? Mace? Higher. A half a triple-double? What do you mean? Yeah. What is that? Huh? Half triple-double, so I'm assuming... Five, five, yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:40 Higher, higher. Okay. Jason Tatum is at 27 and a half points to have him higher lower cam lower lower i was trying to go i was trying to see if i could see him getting higher. I could see it, but I'm not going to go for that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:39:10 And Jalen Brown is at five and a half first quarter points. Do you have him higher or lower, Mace? Higher. Batman, remember I told you that. Higher. Okay. Download the Underdog Fantasy app and you can make your picks too so angel reese and the chicago sky were fined after one point lost to the fever so one angel was fined a thousand
Starting point is 00:39:34 dollars for failing to make herself available to the media and the organization as a whole was fined 5 000 for failing to ensure all wmba players comply with media policies. So just in general, what are you guys' thoughts on the punishment and then the reasoning for their punishment? Me personally, when it comes to costing other people money, that's never a good thing, especially when you're on a team. one of the worst things you could do to people is cost them money especially as a franchise and also when when they're not getting paid that much from the WNBA is also not good but I know it's just a thousand dollars but when it comes to her I think she already got a lot of things surrounding her name.
Starting point is 00:40:25 She's a great player. She'll end up being a great player. But you just want to stay away from stuff like this because once people build a profile on you, this is a new level of basketball for her. And once that profile is made as problematic, then everything you begin to do begins to be taken out of context. And then people start looking for people to say, won't they cut our break? Well, you got to kind of stay out of negative media if you don't want to be portrayed a certain way. Because once that image is set, it's hard to come out of that.
Starting point is 00:41:03 Very well said. it's hard to come out of that. Very well said. What I'll say is this, is that I really believe that, I don't know her reason for not, do we have the reason she didn't want to do the interview after the game? Do we know that?
Starting point is 00:41:15 I do not have the reason. Well, what I'll say is this, may skip by it really quick, is that she's one of the fortunate WNBA players to have a lot of endorsements. You don't get paid a lot in the WNBA. That thousand are hurt for people that don't have endorsements. You got to realize if you're getting $70,000 a year and then you got to pay state tax, workers tax, this tax, that tax, that 70 might turn into 32.
Starting point is 00:41:45 That thousand means a lot to certain players, but Angel Reese has a lot of endorsements. I'm pretty sure it won't hurt her pockets. I think the real question is why weren't you available? And Mace made a great point. Once you start costing us money, it's going to be a problem because me personally, if I'm the coach and you're costing the organization's money,
Starting point is 00:42:04 I'm going to sit you down for a game. So that's going to cost you more money for missing the game. But we have to set a precedent to where you can't just do what you want, and especially as a rookie, and then we don't have an explanation behind it. Yeah. And definitely when you start representing brands, there's a certain way you got to carry yourself. And as some, she'll learn, she'll get that.
Starting point is 00:42:30 Okay. That game also had a lot more buzz because a Sky player, Kennedy Carter, got asked about Kaitlyn Clark, and she responded, besides three-point shooting, what does she bring to the table, man? So thoughts on her response okay lynn clark what's the what's the young lady name kennedy carter well kennedy what caitlyn clark bring to the table is private jets nigga what do you mean bring to the table it's a fact. You bring my young to the table. That's a fact.
Starting point is 00:43:05 Yeah. Y'all could be on the city bus. Needs to be eating Popeyes before she came. Needs to get a steak on the jet. Yeah. That's what she bring to the table. And I don't mean no disrespect to the young lady, Kennedy, but that was foolish to say that.
Starting point is 00:43:27 She heightens the profile. You didn't make people start getting on the jet. She did. And the more and more she gets to do that is only going to make other people start saying, why don't we get that treatment, which is now going to introduce them to a new luxury. And that's what we always wanted for female sports, right? To get paid more, to be treated better, to be treated like the guys in the NBA, and this is a step in that direction. So to say that is pretty silly. Once again, very, very great points, Mace. This is a lot of Caitlyn Clark shit going around this past weekend because and it's not Caitlin Clark I had this conversation last night with one of my old coaches and
Starting point is 00:44:15 he was so mad that I'm that white America so to speak is creating this narrative about oh Caitlin Clark they're doing her dirty. They're not treating her fair. She's not getting the call, so on and so forth. But I tell people all the time, it's not my job. And I'm talking about myself on how you feel about me. I can't help how you feel about me. Caitlin Clark is not doing anything but playing basketball. is not doing anything but playing basketball.
Starting point is 00:44:51 You know, she's not as successful as she was in college the last three years. And what happened the last three years, you see a young lady who's been very successful. At least two Final Fours that I know about. I'm not sure where she went the year before last. But when you're watching all the success and it just comes to a halt, and then not just come to a halt, it looks like you're getting, you're not even strong enough.
Starting point is 00:45:09 And I'm not saying she's not, but when you look at these highlights, she's running in the picks and she's falling, or she's getting bumped, falling out of bounds. And to me, Kaitlyn Clark handles it like a G. She says, what do you think about that girl pushing you out of bounds? Well, I don't think it's a basketball play, but you got to play through it. And I think that's a great answer. I think that Matt Barnes. She says I don't think it's a basketball play, but you got to play through it. And I think that's a great answer. I think that Matt Barnes...
Starting point is 00:45:27 She said she don't think it's a what? She said, her exact words was, well, that wasn't a basketball play, but I'm going to play through it. That was exactly what she said. Because I don't know if you've seen... Yeah, she basically said, man, these niggas hate him.
Starting point is 00:45:40 Yeah, but I like the way she went about it. Because I don't know if you've seen that play, Murder. She was just chilling, and the girl came and hit her and knocked her down. Like, the ball wasn't even around. Like, it was just her. I don't know if that's the same girl that we're referring to. But she came and just knocked Caitlin. This is reverse racism, and I don't like it.
Starting point is 00:46:03 Right. All of y'all out there doing this to Caitlin Clark, y'all are a part of reverse racism and I don't like it. All of y'all out there doing this to Kaitlyn Clark, y'all are a part of reverse racism and I don't like it. I'm just gonna go on the record, I don't like it. You being overly aggressive with her for what? Cause she made a lot of money, that is the epitome of hate. Yep, so what I was saying is the girl knocked her down and what Caitlyn says, she said it wasn't a basketball play
Starting point is 00:46:30 but I played through it. And I like what Matt Barnes said. Matt Barnes said he blames a lot of this on her teammates. And he said when he played with Kobe, if somebody got Kobe faced, that was his job to make sure they didn't. He said when he played with Chris Paul, he made sure niggas didn't fuck with Chris Paul.
Starting point is 00:46:47 And it seems like with all these things happening to Caitlyn, her teammates are never there for her. Even when, you know, I've seen at least four picks. That's a great point. Right. And not just that murder. I've seen at least four picks where she falls hard. That's her teammates' job to yell out, pick right, pick right, pick left, pick left.
Starting point is 00:47:10 Nobody's yelling to pick out. So she's going full speed playing defense, running into a brick wall, and then not only running into a brick wall, the other defensive player that guarding the person that's setting the pick, they're nowhere to be found. They're not yelling out if the screen is coming. They're not helping out when these players are pushing her, talking crazy to her. To me, I got a problem with our teammates.
Starting point is 00:47:36 Maybe they're a little envious as well. Because at the end of the day, there's no reason. Man, if Mace is guarding somebody and somebody's coming, I'm yelling out that the pick is coming right. Yeah, we're going to laugh. Yeah. Like, how is that not being yelled out, the screen is coming? And how is these girls doing this?
Starting point is 00:47:54 And you don't see one other player from Indiana run over. Like, fuck is wrong with you? Fuck, yo, y'all niggas bugging. Nobody. You just see a four and nobody's around. So I have a problem with the teammates. And Matt Barnes made a great point when it came to that. The big girl from South Carolina should definitely be reinforcing that.
Starting point is 00:48:15 The one that went there before she got there. Aaliyah Boston. I don't think Aaliyah Boston is as good as they make her to be. I've been watching them play and she ain't one of them ones. She did great at South Carolina, but I know it takes a while maybe to transition to the professional league, which is the W, but we ought to think about this murder. And I know it's hard, too, because, look,
Starting point is 00:48:40 we're seeing Kaitlyn Clark not having that much success, but you know how bad you got to be. Now let's think about this. If they don't do well again this year, this would be the third year in a row that they get a number one pick. So is this working out? I watched a few games with Aaliyah Boston. She's not that good.
Starting point is 00:49:02 She can't jump. She's missing layups consistently. Aja Wilson, them joints going to kill her. They will kill her. Even the tall girl from, pardon me if I say it wrong, she's from Brazil that went to South Carolina. She plays for- Camila. Yeah, Camila. Thank you. She was abusing her to me. And that should be her little homie.
Starting point is 00:49:28 You know what I'm saying? I watched that game too. And I'm like, yo, she's not one of the ones to leave Boston now. If she does something that I haven't seen, I have a breakout game or something, I'm just going off what I've seen. But none of the teammates are there having her back, me personally, in my opinion. Well, you know, you ain't got to be good at basketball to know how to fight.
Starting point is 00:49:47 You definitely got to protect your teammates. That's how you start getting back in the game if you can't play, by being aggressive. We all know niggas in the park that always want to fight, foul a nigga's hard paws. That's their part to bring to the team. Somebody can do that for Kalen Clark. I mean, if not, put them back on JetBlue. Put them back on whatever airline they were on and let them fly
Starting point is 00:50:12 regular and get their bags out of Southwest if that's what they want to do. You don't want to protect the money. That's your problem. This is reverse racism. I don't like this stat. And I didn't hear stat say anything about it. Are you for this stat? Well, I was going to add, Kaitlyn Clark also isn't the only rookie getting that little, because Angel Reese did get a hard foul against Alyssa Thomas. And after she was like, look, I'm not just a rookie.
Starting point is 00:50:39 They're supposed to not be nice to me. And she thanked Alyssa Thomas thomas instead of like complaining about it so a lot of them are going through different things i will add and then as far as alia boston like i think she is injured as of now so they got a lot going on she said she had to delete her social media so i just don't think they're handling all of this well yet stat do you see any reverse racism that's the well no because it's happening the k-1 is happening any reverse adjusting better do you see white girls fouling caitlyn clark that hard no it's only black girls and latinos i mean i still have my viewpoint. I think that that's just what we're having. It's a yes or no question.
Starting point is 00:51:28 I know, but I just don't think it's a white. Do you see white girls following her that hard? Did Cameron Brink follow that hard? Did Stuart follow that hard? No. It's the black girls that thought they should have got the
Starting point is 00:51:44 contract and they should get a contract but don't try to hurt the girl because you didn't get the contract they gotta chill on that for real i don't like racism from nobody if you had a son he was running around some little white boys was fouling them stupid all right what would you say you say oh this part of the game i mean no that's my son but good you're saying that's yeah get him a contract give them people a shoe deal. Adidas. And then they won't be trying to hurt me.
Starting point is 00:52:29 I don't know. I just need Kaylin Carter. Let me just go in the weight room a little bit. Let's move on because that just won't answer the question. Where we up to, bro? We've been on the same thing for seven minutes. This is a yes or no question, bro. Like, damn, B damn let's just move on bro I did
Starting point is 00:52:50 okay and then well really that's really all the time we have for today yeah because we've been sitting here seven minutes waiting for you to answer a question see y'all tomorrow I'm not Adidas okay that is all the time that we have for today
Starting point is 00:53:10 thanks for watching and as always Yahoo
