I'm Treasure Wilson, a.k.a. Stat Baby, along with your host, Mace, and Kim, and today we are
joined with our analyst, Michael Irvin.
Hey, what's up, fellas? How you doing, man?
Damn, you want to start, Kim, over there, oh, dark, up?
I don't know. I don't know. That's why they call you a killer. You're looking like
like you want to kill a dog.
Listen, let me, let me tell you.
You know, listen, man, listen, let me tell you,
I kill you on this show,
and any time you have a good day
against me is an anomaly.
Yeah.
He's off to the races.
I'm good, man.
I'm very good, murder.
Got him for asking.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I'm doing wonderful, man.
I'm happy, man.
I'm just happy.
And God is blessing everything, man.
It's been good, man.
And I get a chance to speak with my people.
And you guys heard it when I was doing all of that press junket stuff when they were asking me about you guys.
And Kim, I appreciate you sending me to them and saying, love you big bro.
But I do, y'all do, man.
I laugh so much with you guys.
Remind me so much of Dion and I, you know what I mean?
I mean, and people, remember when I sent you that stuff where they were imitated,
they can try to imitate you, but they don't have that grip, you know?
Hey, yo, Mike, Mike, you got to chill out, Mike.
Mike, you got to chill out, Mike.
That's another thing.
Mike, you got to chill out.
They ain't got that grip is crazy.
All the little Paul's pieces y'all putting out about me.
Hey, Mike, hey Mike, Mike, are they still asking you to cut?
your hair are they still hating on your on your hair growth yeah they do man and then my
barber he tries to hit it in because you know think about it think about this now you know
there are two things two people that hurt first of all all my brothers out there all my boys out
there that's over 45 40 years old and can't grow no hair constantly telling me man what
you're going to do with your hair nigga why does this bother you you see what I'm saying
Jealousy, Mike.
Right, right, right.
So I'm like, man, come on.
And then my barber, you got to understand.
He lost a home.
I mean, he were here before $1,500,000, $1,500 a month.
He lost a good apartment.
You know what I'm saying?
So, yeah, he's like, man, what are you going to do with your hair?
I said, nothing, bro.
I ain't coming to see you.
That's weird.
So, so you got.
to let one of them the side cheeks at about $1,500 a month got cut or loose because I just
pulled that out, you kidding, you know.
Yeah, yeah, you took away your card note, the rent, maybe, like you said, maybe the chicken
expenses you write, but Mike, real quick, man, I did see you on, on Shannon Sharpshund.
I want to thank you for the love that you showed us, especially relating our relationship
on the show to compare to Deon
because I know you guys have decades
of history together. So we
really enjoy having you on the show.
We love you. But thank you for the love and the show.
We really appreciate it. Yeah, for real.
Because that was a good comparison
too. I ain't think of that one.
But that is kind of like our
relationship.
Yeah. Yeah.
And listen,
and listen, and listen, we don't get many
brothers. I mean, from different
mothers. Yeah.
that have that kind of relationship that has had great success.
Remember what they say of us.
We're always trying to pull each other down.
And it's great to have brothers that are never trying.
They're trying to lift each other up and, you know, be there for one another like that.
So I won't get too deep.
Let's get back to talk about that baby.
Hey, you wild and Mike.
And shout out the coach prom, you know, because when we wanted,
When we wanted Michael Irvin on the show, Killer made the call, and then Prime, you know, put the call out to Michael Irvin and made it happen, man.
So shout out to all of the people that's helping us behind the scenes.
I'll be there Friday night to see them in Houston, too, before I come out to see y'all Saturday, though.
I'm going to spin that out like that.
That's going to be cool.
So I'm going to go see a Friday night over in Houston, and then I'm going to pop on that plane and come out there for that fight.
I will be waiting on you.
Yeah.
Great stuff.
And honestly, all of you all are prospering and everybody loves to see it.
So continue blessings ahead for short.
Okay.
So we got a lot of good stuff that we're going to talk about today.
But first, we're going to talk about this game tonight.
Packers versus commanders.
Mike, who do you think wins this game?
I've done a deep dive into this.
And I'm trying to because I know y'all, I got them jokers over there.
They're going to be trying to pick your poke, you know.
Yeah.
Oh, Mike said a dig-dob.
They're going to be trying to pick and poke is crazy.
Right.
Y'all's so funny, but when I looked at this game,
I have to say to myself, look at it,
pull out the Michael Parsons, pull out the pain,
and just look at the game.
And everybody you see has Green Bay winning.
in this game. So I know when I come on and say, I'm taking Washington in this game,
a Michael, you know, you're still mad about the Michael parts or stuff. No, but let me tell you why
what it ultimately comes down to for me. We got two young quarterbacks, two very good
young quarterbacks. This game coming down to which one I trust the most right here, right
now. And who is he throwing the ball to? And for me,
that's Jane Daniels.
That's Debo Samuel.
That's the second week
or more time with Terry
McCorn. You know
what I'm saying? I'm taking that
over Green Bay.
Even though I know Green Bay
played great against Detroit and
wants to prove that they are one of those
top teams since Washington
was in the finals
NFC championship last year.
So they want to prove they'll get there.
I'm still taking Washington
in the young
James. Mike, other than whatever the guy name was at the last part of that, you took my take,
Mike. I was going to say, you said nobody is picking the commanders. I'm picking the commanders.
I already told Statt. I already told Killer, that's my second team. And we're going to look forward
to this game because this game really shows who's the next one up. And I think Jane Daniels is
ready to prove that to the entire football league. I think everybody,
is hyped up over love and this is this is a great opportunity for jane daniels the show that he he's
really to step into that into that space and when you think of deep um dbo sammy's being added to this
team this team is is really strong really strong and i know they got parsons but we're not scared of
parson that's what i got to say okay okay everybody what i'll say is this suddenly mike i don't know
that the commanders has made second team
because the cheese haven't been looking
good since the super
just so you know
the commanders
makes the second team all of a sudden
it wasn't a second team
let's say you know look
you Mike let me ask me to pick a second team
she said who's your second team
yeah you got you
you got you guys he got you
Mike let's do this
let's do this Mike
your murder
Who was the quarterback before Jaden Daniels got there?
Michael Vick.
No, I'm just playing.
It doesn't matter.
Hey, it wasn't the commanders before.
They was the Redskins.
So, you know, we got to have a lot of conversations, Camp.
That's a good one.
Yeah.
Since you're trolling.
That's a good hour.
Listen, you got it.
You got it.
All right, since the chief is your first team was the quarterback before Patrick Mahomes.
Damn, I'm not doing this right now.
It's too early in the morning.
You know, I'm going to keep going till I win.
You had the black house.
I see you blacking out.
You had the black house.
Look, I'm going to say this about the game.
Look, I like the commanders and the commanders look good, but who the fuck they look good against
the Giants, like, ooh, Giants didn't score a touchdown.
They didn't score a touchdown.
Everybody jobs on the line.
The Bull, I'll already pronounce his name wrong,
but Giants head's coach.
He's sitting there a Wafflin.
He don't know if he's going with Russell Wilson this week.
He don't know if he should go with the backup.
Listen, man, that was not a good team that they played,
so that really wasn't a good test for me.
I'm wrong with Green Bay Packers.
First of all, we didn't even get a lot of practice,
done it with speculation that Michael Parsons was hurt.
He ain't looked hurt to me last year,
and he's probably getting a lot of reps in this this week,
so he's going to look better this week
than he's been looking last week.
That's first and foremost.
Secondly, Green Bay,
when they didn't play a bullshit team,
they played the people that, pardon me,
the team that's expected to win the division.
Detroit?
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah, exactly.
People didn't, I mean,
maybe they opinion changed off the week one.
But if you go into the preseason, we asked about Green Bay and saying Green Bay is right there.
But we still think the Detroit Lions are the superior team in the division.
They definitely didn't look like the superior team in division last week.
And I think that they have more time this week for gel, especially on defense.
And I don't think Jayden Dangers is going to be as comfortable as he was last week that he will be.
I think he's going to be more comfortable last week than he is this week.
and you've got to have a problem
on his hands
when we got the better
Micah Parsons than we've seen last week.
So I'm going with Green Beta
when this game.
But you got to also remember
now, okay, when you take
Michael Parsons, who is
a phenomenal talent, here again,
when I make assessments
and analyzations on it,
it's just out of my brain,
not out of my pain,
so you get it.
You see what I'm saying?
So you do understand
that Dan Quinn,
head coach for the commander,
is the premier
Babe Bertha of Michael
Parsons put him in that defense
to make him their successful.
He should know some things
not saying it will stop Michael
Parsons, but it will help
with the knowledge thereof
Michael Parsons. This is going to
be a great game
and it's going to be a pressure game
and when you ask me
who's more
pressurized
I'm saying Jaden
Daniels and they get that win
No, I'm going with Matt LaFleaw
And Jordan Love
And secondly, Mike, you really
giving yourself up because I was
fucking with you the first time you said
You know, it's not because of my pain
Because we lost Michael Parsons
But you keep reiterating that
And now I'm feeling like
You keep reiterating it's not your pain
It's out of your brain
You keep you're making me feel
Like it's really out of your pain
That could you keep repeating yourself.
So therefore, that means you're trying to cover around.
That's what I'm saying.
Yeah, he over there speaking like I was shocked than those sports.
Yeah.
He keeps saying it's not how it's pain.
And this is what I say, y'all, we heard you the first time in times when you said it wasn't out of Japan.
All right, Mike.
Now you're making me things about your pain.
Go ahead, Mike, I'm sorry.
I thought I'm just saying, dog, that's great.
This is what makes me think about and saying.
Now, early on, Mace dropped that over in there.
It's just, oh, a little boo-boot.
He's going to drop it in.
Talk about him, you're over at the Black House.
He's really trying to slap inside him.
On the White House.
Just see what I'm saying, like, I ain't going to get all that.
I just got it.
Okay, okay, okay.
You know, we fresh off the documentary.
You know what I'm saying?
Let's go.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, you come back.
Now, hey, the one time, the first time, you're right, the first time, okay, you just made a point.
The second time, oh, nigger, you're pointing two some.
Oh, I'm saying.
I like that one.
First time you're making a point.
Second time you point niggas out.
Right.
Dio called me the other day.
Let me tell you, Dio called me the other day.
He said, man, he reminded me this.
He said, man, you remember when I came to Dallas and you took me to some country place?
And we had never been there.
It was late one night.
You know, we were looking for a spot.
It was the only spot open.
And them all the whole had real cowboy boots and jeans and hats and everything.
And I was still on the prowl.
The deal was ready to go home.
What was going to go home?
You was up all night.
trying to get lucky i was ready to go so then when we got over that dion said dude what we're
going over here all these jokers these are cowboys you know what i said to him he reminded me
of the other day i said joker i said those those yippy yaya cowboys we the real dallas cowboy
that to you dog but i remember us doing that man that's the kind of junk y'all be doing y'all funny though
no no thank thanks bro hilarious okay so there is an update on eagles jalen carter after being ejected
for spinning on decked press got week one versus the cowboy so the league considers the suspension
served due to how early in the game his ejection occurred and he will forfeit his 57 000 222 dollar game
check as part of his punishment but new footage from a different angle kind of shows
where it looks as if Dax spit on Jalen first.
So after doing some deep diving in an interview,
Dak denied bad intent and said,
I guess I needed to spit.
I wasn't going to spin on my linemen,
so I just spit ahead.
So given this information, Mike,
do you think the league handled the situation correctly?
And what do you think of Dax's quote,
saying he spit ahead?
I thought it was handled appropriately.
I really did.
Early on before the league.
breaking news everybody thought everybody thought he should be suspended and then people try to go
back to college days and did he do it in college oh i go this is a pattern of behavior i'm going to
stop stop this is a new set of rules let's go from here me being a piece of you know the justice
system one man should have a chance to sponge such things whatever he did before that's why we have
Mike is to have a fresh start.
Mike is the president of the second chances.
Right.
Second chance of stuff, yeah.
I got to be, I got to be especially fresh off the documentary.
I got to be the last brother to say, oh, he'll deserve a second day.
Are you joking?
Like, stop at that, you know.
So, but for real, but for real.
We know the intensity of the game.
We love the intensity of the game.
want that wrongness that that dude has in him.
I want all of that.
I want him to be able to control
and then I lose himself where he does something
in that manner.
But most of us,
that's how I want my title to be,
but short on the football field.
And let's let this man learn.
Why, right now,
when it's only costing him $57,000 a game
before he goes to where he needs to be
because he'll get a big deal.
And this will be causing him $2 million a game.
so let's learn let him get learned the lesson now
and don't try to bring over that old stuff
that should have been exposed once he got in the NFL
Mike Mike you got to watch it takes but
let's let's move on let's move on
um no I'm not I got to say
oh my bad murder I thought you were just skipping the whole shit
my bad guy
yeah Mike is what what do you mean
what you mean I'm just saying what do you mean
your choice of words Mike
Mike you said
Mike you said you
I can't blade it with y'all
i know but mike you said you want his rawness
that's on the inside of him
okay okay okay and the thing of
hey hold on murder and murder let me tell you something right
let me know let me talk you right
no you bought this on yourself because
we was letting you get away with mad shit
the first couple episodes then you want to jump out into nowhere
and be like hey that's a pause that's a pause that's a
pause we wasn't even saying shit the first couple episodes you bought this on yourself
guy murder my bad yeah yeah when it comes to end when it comes the deck of course you
would see it as a non-problem Mike what do you mean spit a head right if somebody's
spinning your face is that the new thing pause right I was spitting the head
like do you spit backwards like who
came up with this quote this is horrendous
you guys got to consider the situation that's in a huddle he's in a huddle he's in a huddle he's in the
middle of a bunch of men he can only spit ahead or he got you see what i'm saying so that he
he couldn't have spit to the side he couldn't have spit to the side he couldn't have spit to the
side if he's in a huddle more guys over there he wouldn't spit backwards because pause there's people back
So he's spit in the guy in front of him's face.
Now, this is the thing, Mike.
When they go, this is why we have replay.
This is why they have this replay.
They use it for everything else.
Why wouldn't they use the replay right then and there
and see that Dax spit on him first?
And if he spit on him, then he needs his check back.
He definitely need his check back.
If somebody spit on me and I spit back as a result,
I need my check back.
I need that 50 back.
The NFL, Roger Goodell, we need that money on back.
On the ground, he spit on that chest.
This is not tantamount.
These are not tantamount to one another.
You cannot say that.
That spit on the ground.
He spit on that chest.
Mike, I can't believe you because you're so Dallas and such a cowboy, like you said,
not the yippie gal, yo cowboy.
So I can't believe nothing you say when they come to the cowboy.
I just showed you my mercy and grace and what I deliver for Jalen for Jalen Carter.
So yes, I'm pro Dallas, but that don't mean I'm anti-Carter.
Mike, that's like saying you're your, you're pro-black, what's you're for white people,
Mike? That doesn't go together.
What I am.
I am.
And it's exactly what I ain't.
Mike, you forgot who you talking to.
Mike, I dissect words for a living, Mike.
That's exactly what I am.
That's exactly what I was going to say.
That's true.
Cam, what do you think?
Listen, I'm going to be totally honest with you.
I think murder hit the nail on the head pole.
Exactly.
This is exactly what I was going to say.
Everything that may say down to Mike being a black cowboy,
Everything he said, I was going to say.
Everything.
Only thing that I would add on to is this.
If they didn't catch that replay with Dak have ever said something,
that's the whole thing.
Like, yo, Dagget, it looked like you spit, too.
Oh, I guess I was spitting ahead of me.
But you didn't say, you didn't say, yo,
yo, why didn't you go in the press conference?
Because why didn't you go in the press conference and be like,
you know what, I may have triggered that?
because I spilling the ground ahead of him
and then that was his reaction.
So maybe it was my fault.
Nah, man, if the replay and catch it,
you wouldn't have said nothing.
And listen, let me tell you, Mike, I'll ask you
because you know better than us
and this way maybe I'll make it a little more fair
since you're pro cowboy.
We had Pac-Man Jones on the show last week
and he said that he spit on somebody
on third and four to try and get him to jump off sides.
what kind of shit was that when i heard that but there's a lot of sneak spitting and shit like that
go on if you could get away with it oh no i no i never partook in any of that you know what i mean
oh they're 35 and pacman's my boy he spit on me for that first down oh he got it he got that
first time i'm glad you're glad nobody took that tag you what i'm glad nobody took that tactic because they would have won
you see what i i would have grabbed that rough d too i was the first down right now right now
I think when it comes to Dak Prescott, if we weren't talking about Dak, right?
If this was somebody else, take them out of the uniform, pause, and take them off of Dallas.
And this happened with somebody else.
A lot of his late behavior has been very Karen-like.
What do you say, Statt?
Karen-like?
Like, a Karen?
I can see that.
You can see it?
I can see that.
Spitting on people saying you were spitting ahead.
Spitting ahead is crazy.
And the thing about it, too, is like, if you look for what happened, a lot of people
aren't, I had to go through and look at the press conference and hear him say it because
I literally thought it was a joke.
When I first seen it, nobody said anything about it.
And it literally to Cannes' voice, it took them asking him.
So, like, you know, do you think maybe there was a reason why?
And I'm not saying that you should spit on anybody because I don't think that's okay.
And that's how Cameron responds, right?
Mike, that's how Cameron responds when they get.
get caught by the cops let's stop finish what she got let's that finish
she got to say you don't even allow for me Mike you're not letting up finish
Mike she just said it she just said it to say she said to do you're
trying to say it's easier to to to to to
to make the hard-looking brother Jalen Carter look bad.
And then pull back on the mix, half white,
half black, that Prescott,
he was just spitting a head.
You see what I'm saying?
Come on now.
Now, stat, stat, stat, stat.
I've always liked you.
Because you like, you're like the word when it says,
you can be in it, but don't be of it.
And you've been in it with them boys, but you weren't other.
But now, Mike, you're being a sharing, Mike.
I, you know, Mike, the love is there too, but I always don't have to agree with you also.
That's what I'm saying.
What I'm saying is the video footage of DAC spitting ahead should have just been just as televised as Jalen Carter spent.
And I'm not saying Jalen Carter spent on DAC was good because I don't think you should spend on nobody.
It's the highest level of disrespect.
But after the fact, all that.
noise after just got mighty quiet. And it's like for certain people, even if you didn't mean
to spit on him, you should know that he's going to take it that way and go that way because
that's the type of person that he is. I'm not saying it's a good thing, but some people are that
way. And if you spit on him, some people react. And that's how he reacted. That's all I'm
to say. Yo, don't slap me in my face and get mad. I'll punch you and yours. That's just that.
See, and that's Cairn's reaction.
Me, I'm not going to punch nobody in the face.
I'll probably react a different way.
I don't know how that way it would be, but you cannot be mad at the way people react.
Mike said the same thing.
He just said it.
He said that if somebody would have spit on him on 34, he would have took the penalty and fucked him up.
Pac-Man said the same thing.
Pac-Man said, yo, he said, that man, the exact answer was, look, that guy realized that boy crazy.
he you ever do know you did the history of him he crazy i said well what if he spit on you pack man
he said he ain't gonna play with me like that that's what i'm trying to tell you right right
the natural everybody's saying they weren't allowed most people but that the reason
my thing is the reason why dad didn't react like you will react like pat may react
he said he wouldn't react it or how any of us meet me mace or stat would have reacted is
because maybe he knew he spit a hag and that's why he got spit on so
So he didn't react crazy because, you know, he instigated that.
Right, right.
Yeah.
Mike, you got a lady dancing outside.
There's a lady dancing outside that saw Mike.
She says she's a cowgirl.
You never know what to do in these situations.
Oh, that's crazy.
That'll be the next week.
I don't be divorced.
I'm going out there.
I'll be the next week.
Keep that energy.
Right.
She's brought the energy.
Okay.
So there is a play in the Chiefs Week 1 loss
versus the charges where Travis Kelsey collided with wide receiver
Xavier worthy, resulting in him exiting the game.
Travis Kelsey took the blame on his podcast saying,
I'll take the most accountability myself.
I wasn't ready that first drive.
I ran into one of my guys and offed him out of the game.
I literally took one of my players out.
That's one of the most frustrating parts.
And it's hard to get your juices.
back going knowing you hurt a guy. So Mike, how do you feel, one, just about what Travis Kelsey said
and then active players discussing issues like this on their podcast? Well, first of all,
I think it's brilliant for Travis Kelsey to say what he's saying, because you got to understand
the way he plays. And his message shares with everybody who he is, but most importantly,
shares with his teammate how much he cares he's sorry that that happens now let's go back to figure
out why Travis Kelsey feels he has to apologize so much into Xavier worthy those situations
what made Travis Kelsey so great over the years is his ability to freelance within a system
within the system within the plane and Patrick Mahomes always finding him oh that wasn't the
original route. He found a hole in the defense. He found a situation in the defense. Well,
obviously, he must have ran into Xavier Worthy's route and ran into him and knows he was wrong
trying to find an opening and feels real bad about it. So yes, I love that he's saying it openly
because, you know, you heard somebody in front of the world and then come back twice. I'm sorry.
just doesn't have the same effect his podcast of course because he has you know
miss swift and everything the whole world listens we're bringing about talking about it right now
so yeah Travis kelsey is brilliant because Xavier worthy will hear this apology
and i'm sure he's already apologized even before this yeah i mean that's all well and good
unless he's costing um Xavier worthy money and you i hate when people say they're being accountable
without paying for it how do you really take accountability without paying for it mike but they paid them
he still he lied up for snap one it wasn't like the jalen carter situation where they're going to
take his whole paycheck oh okay yeah i was thinking they're paying for yeah so then that's cool
i think the worst thing that happened to sports was um sports players having podcasts
I take
Cam, what do you think?
Wait, wait, wait, mate.
Mace got to tell us why.
What, what, what?
I mean, it's great.
I think it's great for players such as yourself
that's no longer playing,
but I think for people that are actually still competing at the game,
sometime they start putting too much energy into their podcast.
And I would hate for this to turn around
and be a playoff P thing with Travis Kelsey.
I don't like it.
You know, you run into the podcast
and we're losing as the Chiefs,
even though it's week one,
this is two losses in a row.
Remember, we lost in the Super Bowl,
so this is two losses in a row,
and he's on a podcast.
Taylor Swift or no Taylor Swift.
I got to call it like I see it, Killer.
I got a job to do.
You see that.
When you see what's happening,
y'all see what happened.
Killer, I got a job to do.
I live this.
Yeah.
I live this life.
Listen, you know, I went all that.
Guy, Mike, got my bad guy.
I lived this life.
I live this life.
That means when you ride high in delivering that dynasty, boy, you can do what you want to do.
But once you have one or two losses, that things start changing.
Ain't nobody said that about that podcast where they were winning Super Bowl.
But all of the selling, when I lost a few games.
Well, you got to stop talking, but you got to stop talking.
You got to stop talking.
Now, I see it the same way, though, Mace, in that sense,
where I said, okay, even Michael Parsons,
having a podcast here would say stuff.
And when people try to trick them,
who's your talk to in quarterback?
And you don't mention that.
Now that it becomes a friction in the locker room.
And I thought that that was smarter him to try to make,
not to make sure that wasn't the situation and apologize openly.
That's all that was something from a leadership standpoint.
But I understand what you're saying.
in any kind of podcast, I understand, just want to focus on football.
Yeah, like I taught Maurice in, in Titletown schools, that didn't show up for summer
school, but in Titletown, we teach people to keep the main thing, the main thing.
And that's exactly what we need to happen right here.
We need them to keep the main thing, the main thing.
You got a podcast because, you know, you win in the games and you win Super Bowls.
you know is a lot of things come to us because we we wrapped and we did music but if you
ain't do the music right we wouldn't be sitting here today so you know you got to keep the main
thing the main thing so wait wait right here okay okay mason saying let me just man same i got a jump
in hold on i got a jump in real quick mike i'll let you get you a quick but on my tape
just real quick mace so you're 100% right can we get a free staff
gotta keep the main thing the main thing the main thing yeah let's get a
can we get a free sound from you that was the main thing you told me that was the main
thing yeah i like that i like that that's not a yes but guy
You know what I'm saying right now.
You know what I'm just trying to reiterate?
Because he said it, but go ahead, Mike.
Yeah, that mean we, no, that mean we do have to figure something out.
That does mean that I have to figure something out because that's the main thing.
That's the truth.
You got to keep the main thing, the main thing.
Does that a yes, maize?
Yes and no, like...
It has...
It has promise written all over it.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
That boy, good is that.
I'm losing that.
You know, I'll say this real quick.
To both of you guys point, to Mace's point and to Mike's point.
So we'll start with Mace.
Mike will say this
for Mace and myself
we've been harassing
I don't want to use the word harassing
we've been making takes
on Paul George's podcast
because he's not winning
not only not winning he's missing games
and then he says you know what I need to take a break from
podcast to focus on basketball
when he says this in March
the season starts to
in October. So you're talking about you need to take a break in March. The playoffs start in two
weeks. What are you talking about? And so we, Mace has been very, very, very consistent as
far as players this playing now during podcast. What I will say is this. He has never said this
about Travis Kelsey because he's so used to the cheese winning. So now it's a two-game losing streak.
He has a problem with Travis Kelsey podcasting because he's not used to two-game losing
streets.
So he has an attitude now with Travis Kelsey.
He's never said nothing about Travis Kelsey's podcast until today.
Secondly, I will say this in Travis Kelsey's defense, he just signed a two-year extension
for $34 million.
And we know Travis Kelsey has made a good amount of money in the NFL over the course of his career.
But he signed a three-year extension for $100 million with his podcast.
So, what is the main thing?
It's the main thing.
That's the question.
The main thing has switched then.
The main thing has switched.
They're not staying corrected.
Kelsey, you're doing the main thing.
The main thing is the podcast.
yes no no it's not the main thing didn't switch the main thing germinated a seed starts in a small
place then a big tree grows and then fruits grow off of it all of this is what he's doing he's
staying on the same seed he just partaking with more leaves he started catching football bishop irvin
now he's talking about football you started dropping bars and you started rapping and now you just rap
rap rap is what we used to talk about talking rapping is putting music to our talking you went backwards you went rapping first and now you rap it's still the same seed germinating brother come on bro
no i'm gonna keep it real mike must be practicing for election in 2020
mike went from the bit he went from the bitch to a five percent of
in two seconds yeah yeah he must be running for government council in 2020
that's what must be going on my brother yeah brother the sea the sea permeates and he grows with the fruits
They actually got a part, and he was rapping, but now you rap.
When you say rap, that means talking amongst the brothers.
And what does that mean, my brother?
Can I barred $20?
Yeah, so the last thing, the last thing I'll say about it is because that actually
question is that Travis Kelsey saying he takes accountability, which we all see that it was
his fault.
We're not going to reward a fish for swimming.
That's just what we're not going to do.
it was your fault. And thanks for letting everybody know it was your fault.
I mean, straight like that.
A reward of fish for swimming.
Right.
I got to remember that one.
Right.
There you go some bars right there, Mike.
So before we go to break, Mike, I actually have a personal question for you as president of
second chances, as Cam calls it.
So back in the days, right, do you wish you have to?
a podcast to be able to immediately clear things up, or do you think it was better the way it was
waiting to be able to address the media? Because in Travis Kelsey's situation, a lot of people
wanted to know what happened, his thought process, he could just go on his show and talk about it
immediately. Do you think that's the better route, or do you think it's better just to kind of wait
and talk to the media if it was you? You're right back in my good gracious, girl. You know what?
I appreciate, I'm going to explain why.
Let me explain why I wanted to get it in this conversation that I had a TV show while I was playing called the Michael Irvin TV show.
I wanted to get it in this conversation, but I didn't have an opportunity, but your greatness put me right where I needed to be.
I had a TV show called the Michael Irvin TV show while.
are we winning Super Bowls.
Now, let me educate you on the difference.
Since there was no social media,
it was just my show that we would record on the day off
and you play Saturday before the game.
I didn't get the response from the world
when I dropped my bars on my show.
But now that it's social media, instantly you get a response.
You want affirmation and confirmation,
and then they give you defamation.
Now you're saying something else.
And your mind ain't right.
You see what I'm saying?
That's the reality of what we're talking about.
These dudes talking about these podcasts and you're saying stuff,
it's like Rampage Jackson's son.
These people calling me out saying I'm doing this.
Stop streaming then, Joker.
If you can't take what they're saying, stop streaming.
You invite them into your soul.
I wasn't inviting them in.
I was just giving something out.
Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike.
Mike, did you used to go to the Potter's house?
But y'all get the gist of what I'm saying.
It has much merit.
It has much merit.
These brothers acting like they tough, but they really ain't as tough as they think they are
because you got to, you letting what people say get to.
you get off of
either do it and don't
worry about what people say or
stop doing it so you can focus
on what you need to focus on but
if it can't do them both you ain't quite like
Mike let it go. Mike
you're running with Tid's Jake's
approach of using his
words that's why I'm asking you
did you go to the Pottis house
because Cam doesn't probably know
but you're using your jacking
swagger right now Mike
I'm doing a sports show
He's on a sports show
Trying to talk like T.D. Jakes is crazy.
Hey, where
When I retired, I had a radio show
And Dion, I had him come on the show
And we were both at Potter's house
And Dion came on
And Dionne on the box
Right, and he came on
I'm in doing it.
He's saying all the same stuff
That Bissett was saying that I had been saying
I told him, I said, why you got to shout?
You got to stop talking.
You know what I'm saying.
It was what you're talking about, me.
We were stealing his stuff.
We were both stealing his stuff.
And yeah, we both sounded alike at the time.
But no, this is real, though.
But this is real.
And it really is.
See, we only look at what people put out.
We don't consider how they take what they're getting back.
And that's why we have situations like we had with Jackson Pia and everything.
And social media open up a lot of things,
but you got to receive something back.
I told another, I got in trouble when it was news at 11.
I couldn't imagine, and that's still, that scars me still.
I couldn't imagine if it was Twitter every second,
what kind of stuff they would have said and done,
and I would have been hearing about and reading about it.
So it's a different time.
Wow. Okay.
Well, the Colts new owner is going viral.
We will discuss after the break.
Welcome back.
Now let's get into our underdog picks of the day on Sunday.
The Eagles will play the Chiefs.
Underdog has Jalen Hertz at half a rushing and receiving touchdown.
Do you have them higher or lower mace?
This is so so depressing I have to say this.
He's going to get a touchdown.
I might be moving in Title Town.
It depends on sometimes.
Sunday, Sunday, I'm going to let you all know.
Moving.
Yeah, I might have to move it.
Might have to move location.
What a, what a coincidence.
That's after Sunday, you're moving location.
Yeah, I may have to.
I may have to.
Three losses in a row.
It gets real sketchy.
Oh, oh, oh, oh,
makes confessing already to the loss.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's what it's saying.
No, I'm not confessing it.
I'm saying, but if they, if they,
They so happen to bring the voodoo doll out.
You know, there's a lot of things going on, you know.
Chiefs haven't won since that voodoo dog came out in New Orleans.
It's just facts, man.
Like Maurice said, the show.
Start with the facts, man.
Shout out to Maurice Claret.
Shout out to Murray's.
Cam, higher or lower?
Yeah, I'll say higher.
Okay.
Sequin, Barclays at 87 and a half rushing yards.
You have them higher or lower, Cam?
that's a good one man
I'm going to go higher
yeah I think it'll be right there
right around 90 so I'm going
higher too
and Patrick Mahomes is at 248
and a half passing yards
you'll hire Laura Mace
yeah Patrick is not the problem
so I'm definitely going
with Hatrick Mahomes on any day
pause but yes
I'm going higher
that's a good one because
they're not throwing the ball down the field
and I don't know if Patrick Mahomes trusts his receivers yet
look he had a great game last year as far as yardage I mean
probably last week as far as yardage is concerned
but if anybody he's going to get it right Andy Reid going to get it right
so I'm going to go higher as well okay
download the underdog app and you can make your picks too
so new Colts principal owner and CEO
Carly Ursaid Gordon took over a CEO after her father, Jim Ursaid, passed away.
She's been very involved on the sidelines and explains she likes to be there with a headset on and a call sheet.
She said, I need to be able to say, is this person full of BS?
Do they even know what they're talking about?
I would suggest it for anyone else that has to pay head coaches and GMs millions and millions of dollars.
It helps you make a less expensive mistake.
Mike, what's your opinion on her style?
Well, there are a couple of things I think.
that jumps out at me when I look at this story and think about this story.
You know, it's really a smart move on her part.
She's new coming in.
She does have decisions to make.
And like any CEO, she should learn as much of the business as she can.
Now, the issue is, the issue is we like our football to be kill them.
we don't want anything to be like in any way interpreted world
I don't know if she should build the sideline I wonder if that was a guy
owner will we get such noise you know what I mean now holding and putting on a
headset and everything and being out front that's a lot I know there's some
kind of way you probably get that information sitting up in a box but her
thirst for knowledge to run her business so she
she can get as much knowledge about the business,
I don't have any issue with.
I think people may have an issue
because it's a female.
As for a player,
I want her hearing everything go over the headset.
I want to hear when the coach said,
get the ball to Michael Irvin.
Get the part of Mike Orvin.
So when I come in her office and ask for my money,
I'm going to say, get the money to Michael Irvin.
You hear what I'm saying?
So I won't have no problem with that.
You see?
So, yeah, I think it's a lot to do with her being
a female in a male dominant dominated sports sitting on the sideline with a headset on like that
in that position guarding over males that really makes us bark a little Mike other than other than
her being a woman for the casual listener of and what and person that watch sports why is it a lot
for her to be sitting on the silent well that's it because
it is one that that's all it is to us you know for men like to me it's it's brilliant
why wouldn't you do it when you got that kind of that the kind of investment in your hand so you
know you got to learn as much as you can about it they just want her to learn out of sight
you know don't don't be right in front of all the brute jock-smelling football can game
You know what I mean?
It just bothers our sensibility a little.
Yeah, I think I agree with you.
I think any time you're expecting something,
you have to inspect what you expect if you want that to be a reality.
So I'm in favor of that,
but I do understand how that could be very challenging,
especially as such aggressive sports that have a young lady sitting there,
like, overlording what's going on.
It's crazy.
status for it though status for it i mean i'll say why some mace do you
do you think that uh yo she should be doing that
the mink was necessary killer yeah oh yeah i had to go get the mink from mike the mink is
necessary sleep was doing mike yeah you know y'all tell me
You make what's necessary, man.
It's the black house, man.
That's the first thing I thought about.
I said we had a white house in a me in the same show.
Now, this is the black house, man.
This the sleeveless mic, Mike.
You ain't out of sleeveless, mate.
Oh, that's hilarious.
Yo, you know, Mae, so let me ask you.
So let me ask you this.
You said it's challenging.
Are you cool with that?
If I'm playing football, I don't know if I would want, you know, a young lady just walking past, you know, calling the plays and all.
I think it's kind of different for football, you know.
I think she's going to call the plays.
I think she's just trying to learn.
Right, right, right.
Yeah, yeah, but you, you have a play kickball and somebody was on the field trying to.
to play jumping jacks on a fill why you try to play kickball
what do you get to see you get the picture you know what you're doing too much
no shout out uh we just be having fun
In other words, no.
Because I actually...
Right.
Yeah.
But you see how when you paint the picture, everybody can see exactly what's going on.
It's like you're trying to play full court and somebody is still trying to play one-on-one on half of the court.
It's like, bro, we got both of the courts and they're still trying to play.
Then when you run down the court,
They try to move out the way real quick.
Yeah, and then when you roof his ball, you're wrong, you know?
Yeah, hey, you're crazy, but yeah, I get it.
Um, listen, I'll say, yes, yeah.
How much of her paucritude comes into our discomfort?
Pokertitude means her physical appearance, what she looks like.
You see what I'm saying?
What do you think?
Do she look good?
I don't know.
Do she look good?
She's a, she's not a, she's, she's a, she's a, I mean, yeah, once he starts stuttering,
I'm gonna take that once he starts stuttering and I'm gonna say, yeah, maybe, she's like,
you know what I mean, I don't, you know, I ain't like, you know, money, you know,
you know, they allow cow girls to be on the sideline.
All of them look good.
You mean cheerleaders, right?
You need the cheerleaders, right?
That's a great question, Mike.
The thing about it is, I don't, it's a couple things with that.
In your era, it would have been cool.
Now you calling human resources, any flirtation goes on, anything like that.
They're making it into something big.
So, first of all, players, I wouldn't flirt.
And hopefully, like you said, if she looked good,
that's still the person cutting your checks.
So that's first and foremost.
So you're going to have to learn to control yourself.
But what I was actually going to say was this is that I think that you can learn without having to be on the field.
We've seen a great owner in Jeannie Bus for years.
You barely see her at the game unless she's in the seats or maybe in the Skybox.
You don't have to necessarily be in the environment to make players or maybe even coaches uncomfortable on what they're doing.
So we've seen a woman run an organization for a long time and be successful as far as winning championships after her father passed away, not just won championships, but growing the team in value as well.
So I think it can be done without having to be physically present on the sidelines.
My take, I just feel like if you're going to be the CEO and owner, you might as well just go all in, which is what I feel like she's doing.
If that makes her feel like she has more involvement
and like she can actually know more of what's going on
and that helps her, then I feel like, cool, that works for her.
But the last thing I'll say, because I know Mace was like,
of course you're for it.
Well, it's like I'm for it, mainly because that was her father's job
and he passed it down to his three daughters.
Like he didn't have any sons and it's a family legacy.
I mean, Jim Ersay's father, when he bought the team,
he passed that role onto him.
So I think just to keep it down the legacy,
and when they have kids and kids and kids and kids,
and they keep going, I think it's dope to keep it in the family.
So she has to be on the field to keep the legacy going?
No, I just feel like that's part of the look.
Like, if you want to run shit, go run shit, how you want to run shit.
Yeah, you're right.
It's your money.
It's your team.
That part.
That part right there.
I like that.
Right there.
That part.
That part.
Like, I know Jerry was raising the Dallas Cowboys profile, but he also wanted to raise his own profile.
And nobody would ever know who she used.
is but now we do know because she's on the sideline and like me's like cam said
couldn't you have gotten all of this up in the box I'm sure you can work it out you
own the stadium you own the stadium they'll give you all that information in the box
but she's raising her profile two things real quick to Mike's point another
female in the football world is raising their profile Bill
her ex-girlfriend on the sidelines raising her profile that's first and foremost
secondly I'm not I don't think that it I bought up Jeannie bus but I don't think
that it's gender related I think that if any new owner comes on if there's men or
female on the sidelines with headphones overlooking everything is just
gonna create a uncomfortable environment from time to time we see standout
owners on whether it's better no Jerry Jones used to be on the sidelines from time
times years ago, but you don't see them on the sidelines.
Sometimes you used to see even though he's not the majority owner anymore,
Mark Cubans said in Corside, James Dolan's in Corside.
But most of the time these owners sit up in their skybox or sit in their seats and they mind their business.
And if they have a problem with it, then they'll talk to the coaches, general men, just players, so on and so forth,
but it's not so visible.
Maybe it's a new day and age, and this is what's going to happen.
But I'm just saying, I just think male or female, it creates an uncomfortable.
environment for the team because listen you got to think about this if you're sitting
there playing and the owner comes down not talking about her I'm just talking
about the owner as a player you're gonna be like yo here come this nigga we
fucking up then now this nigga down here on the field he only be there I'm just
saying when it's still a boss and when your boss comes around and you're not
always have the best relationship with your boss not saying it's good bad or
indifferent if they're not usually there you like what's this nigger doing down
here but if that's the
the way she wants to handle it. I agree with what stat says absolutely. Do shit your way.
It's your fucking team. It's your stadium. It's your building. But I just think it creates
an uncomfortable environment for the team. Yeah. That's a good take too. And there's always two sides.
So I wonder what the team thinks of it. I wonder how it will translate as the season progresses.
But we will have to wait and see. But y'all, that is all the time that we have for today.
Mike, it was a pleasure to have you as always.
It's always good to be with you guys too, but one last thing, do you not think that there's some guys in that locker room saying, dude, man, y'all, hey, boy, ain't she married? Y'all, we can get to her, boy, you know what I mean? She's worth a billion dollars, you know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? I mean, the odds are somebody in a corner talking about it some way.
when they shouldn't be talk about the slant route.
That's all what I'm saying.
No.
Hey, Mike, listen, two things to that.
First of all, you're right,
niggott, trying to retire at 26, like, that's wifey man.
Secondly, and last, and women do it all the time,
so they talk about them.
Yeah, and secondly, secondly and lastly,
for my take for the night, because I know you're about the rap,
you thinking like that, Mike, don't throw that on other niggis,
man.
That's where your brain go.
You always try to throw something on somebody else.
That's what your brain is at.
You're right.
I'm both brothers are progressive and thinking about their future finances like I am all the time.
Hey, listen, listen, shout out to French Montana.
He just got engaged to the Princess of Dubai.
I dig it.
Right.
Right.
That's the good clothes right now.
That's a good clothes, right?
Y'all stay up.
All right, Mike, love you.
See you this weekend, man?
All right, I see y'all, man.
I love y'all, man.
Thank y'all for watching.
And as always, it is what it is.
Suicide, too big necks, like when they doing them two for five.
