They definitely didn't look like the superior team in division last week. And I think that they have more time this week for gel, especially on defense. And I don't think Jayden Dangers is going to be as comfortable as he was last week that he will be. I think he's going to be more comfortable last week than he is this week. and you've got to have a problem on his hands when we got the better Micah Parsons than we've seen last week.

So after doing some deep diving in an interview, Dak denied bad intent and said, I guess I needed to spit. I wasn't going to spin on my linemen, so I just spit ahead.

So given this information, Mike, do you think the league handled the situation correctly? And what do you think of Dax's quote, saying he spit ahead? I thought it was handled appropriately. I really did. Early on before the league. breaking news everybody thought everybody thought he should be suspended and then people try to go

back to college days and did he do it in college oh i go this is a pattern of behavior i'm going to stop stop this is a new set of rules let's go from here me being a piece of you know the justice system one man should have a chance to sponge such things whatever he did before that's why we have Mike is to have a fresh start. If this was somebody else, take them out of the uniform, pause, and take them off of Dallas. And this happened with somebody else. A lot of his late behavior has been very Karen-like. So there is a play in the Chiefs Week 1 loss versus the charges where Travis Kelsey collided with wide receiver Xavier worthy, resulting in him exiting the game. Travis Kelsey took the blame on his podcast saying, I'll take the most accountability myself. I wasn't ready that first drive. I ran into one of my guys and offed him out of the game. I literally took one of my players out.

That's one of the most frustrating parts. And it's hard to get your juices. back going knowing you hurt a guy. So Mike, how do you feel, one, just about what Travis Kelsey said and then active players discussing issues like this on their podcast? Well, first of all, I think it's brilliant for Travis Kelsey to say what he's saying, because you got to understand the way he plays. And his message shares with everybody who he is, but most importantly, shares with his teammate how much he cares he's sorry that that happens now let's go back to figure out why Travis Kelsey feels he has to apologize so much into Xavier worthy those situations

what made Travis Kelsey so great over the years is his ability to freelance within a system within the system within the plane and Patrick Mahomes always finding him oh that wasn't the original route. He found a hole in the defense. He found a situation in the defense. Well, obviously, he must have ran into Xavier Worthy's route and ran into him and knows he was wrong trying to find an opening and feels real bad about it. So yes, I love that he's saying it openly because, you know, you heard somebody in front of the world and then come back twice. I'm sorry. just doesn't have the same effect his podcast of course because he has you know miss swift and everything the whole world listens we're bringing about talking about it right now

so yeah Travis kelsey is brilliant because Xavier worthy will hear this apology and i'm sure he's already apologized even before this yeah i mean that's all well and good unless he's costing um Xavier worthy money and you i hate when people say they're being accountable without paying for it how do you really take accountability without paying for it mike but they paid them he still he lied up for snap one it wasn't like the jalen carter situation where they're going to take his whole paycheck oh okay yeah i was thinking they're paying for yeah so then that's cool i think the worst thing that happened to sports was um sports players having podcasts I take

Cam, what do you think? Wait, wait, wait, mate. Mace got to tell us why. What, what, what? I mean, it's great. I think it's great for players such as yourself that's no longer playing, but I think for people that are actually still competing at the game,

sometime they start putting too much energy into their podcast. And I would hate for this to turn around and be a playoff P thing with Travis Kelsey. I don't like it. You know, you run into the podcast and we're losing as the Chiefs, even though it's week one, this is two losses in a row.

Remember, we lost in the Super Bowl, so this is two losses in a row, and he's on a podcast. Taylor Swift or no Taylor Swift. I got to call it like I see it, Killer. I got a job to do. You see that. When you see what's happening,

I live this life. That means when you ride high in delivering that dynasty, boy, you can do what you want to do. But once you have one or two losses, that things start changing. Ain't nobody said that about that podcast where they were winning Super Bowl. But all of the selling, when I lost a few games. Well, you got to stop talking, but you got to stop talking. You got to stop talking. Now, I see it the same way, though, Mace, in that sense,

where I said, okay, even Michael Parsons, having a podcast here would say stuff. And when people try to trick them, who's your talk to in quarterback? And you don't mention that. Now that it becomes a friction in the locker room. And I thought that that was smarter him to try to make, not to make sure that wasn't the situation and apologize openly.

That's all that was something from a leadership standpoint. But I understand what you're saying. in any kind of podcast, I understand, just want to focus on football. Yeah, like I taught Maurice in, in Titletown schools, that didn't show up for summer school, but in Titletown, we teach people to keep the main thing, the main thing.
