Starting point is 00:00:03 Back to It Is What It is. I'm Treasure Wilson, aka Stat Baby, along with your host, Mace, and Cam. Killer was good, man. Where's the 7,000? Cam, come on, man. I'm here. Where's the 7? You're back. Where's the 7?
Starting point is 00:00:44 You had to yesterday. I thought he's paying them out of that account. Nah, no, no, no. How did your problem become my problem with this person? I said, I thought we was the team. Yesterday, you was going zeal and everything else, man. Who do I zeal? Who do I zell?
Starting point is 00:01:06 Just tell me right now, I do it right now, you know? Who do I sell? You can tell me right now and I disperse the money properly to the rest of the staff. It's not my money. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, you keep saying it's not yours, but you're telling me the zeal it to you. Zell it to Nick. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:22 I'm jell at the neck. We'll wait. I just heard the pain. We'll wait. What's happening now? We're never getting that money. If you think you're thinking that money, you can forget about it, man. Let's move on.
Starting point is 00:01:41 We got our answer, y'all. Okay, let's go on to some football. So the Panthers beat the Lions 32 to 26. So Mace, I know we started discussing this a little bit. last episode, but I kind of want a confident answer from you guys. Are you at the point now where you would confidently take Bryce Young over C.J. Stroud? Do you just think the Panthers are having a good season? How do we feel about this game here? I mean, it's an interesting win when you think about North Carolina, right? Because, I mean, they did get the win. But before this game, we were
Starting point is 00:02:13 thinking they were, they were what? They were one and two. So you can't say they're having a good year just yet. 200 early in the season, I mean, 500 early in the season is a good place for them to be, but at this place I am definitely taking Bryce Young over C.J. Stroud because I'm a winner. I like winners, pause. I just got to go with people who get the job done, right? So C.J. Stroud is a better athlete to some, you know, taller, you know, but when it comes down to it, you say this a lot. It's that. You don't like a quarter of a quarter. the back that can see over the offense, right?
Starting point is 00:02:51 Nope. And when it comes January or when we get past November and things become a real football season, then we'll see how long that pan out. But right now, if we're going with just today, I would have to go with Bryce Young. And I like this win for them, right? They beat a good Detroit team. It looked like this Detroit team was about to take off and go to another level. But, you know, 3-1 is totally different than 2-2, but both of these teams are 2-2 right now.
Starting point is 00:03:25 I love what Bryce Young did. And, you know, golf didn't play bad himself at all. He had very high numbers. If we're talking about right now, Bryce Young is the answer. Bryce Young is playing exceptionally good. With somebody, I'm going to take accountability myself. It wasn't just Bryce Young. We were shitting on the whole Panthers as an organization.
Starting point is 00:03:49 organization and they're in such a weak division that this could go really well for the panthers and just seeing with bryce young because i watched that game the whole game too you know it's hard pause they at the night game so you got to watch the whole game with red zone and all day he stood in the pocket and he made passes tall short medium pause whatever that nigger was getting the job done especially against the team that's known for defense when we think about Dan Campbell as a player. This is a defensive specialist before he became a head coach.
Starting point is 00:04:24 He's a tight end pause. So they thrive talking about Detroit off of their defense. Detroit is a team two years ago that we're saying they're just a year or two away from winning the Super Bowl. I don't know the decline or what happened so fast.
Starting point is 00:04:39 What the fuck happened? But to me, that game was more about what the fuck is going on with Detroit, more about the Panthers. but if you're asking the question right now, if you really want to talk about it, I'm not saying he's leading the pack.
Starting point is 00:04:55 I think he's right outside the door. We're talking about MVP discussions. We're talking about Patrick Mahomes. We're talking about Walker. And you have to put Bryce Young in there outside of the record what he's doing. We forget, because we don't remember yesterday as a society, they benched this nigger.
Starting point is 00:05:15 He had to sit down and watch for a minute. Remember there's like, oh, that's his time starting. He sat down and usually when you're one of these early draft picks and you start and then you get benched, that'd be it. That'd be it there. I'll see you when I see you. He sat down, they bought him back. He got his name back and right now he's looking exceptionally well. He could scramble, but I'm really more surprised about his pocket passing.
Starting point is 00:05:41 So the answer to your question is that I'm picking Bryce Young right now. Okay. And then moving along, the Jaguars are three and one after beating the Bengals, 22 to 17. We saw the Bengals actually lost Jamar Chase to Concussion Protocols. Right now, he is day-to-day. We don't know his return. Mace, what is your outlook on the Bengals and how we feel about the Jacks?
Starting point is 00:06:03 Well, this is Cam's team. You know, when it comes down to it, you know, I got to go with the home team. It doesn't matter who would have won the game. I definitely had to go with the Jags. And it just so happened that they won. So, you know, I feel confident that when it comes to the Bengals, I think they're two or three players away on defense, right? They need two superstars on defense to actually turn this team around to be the team that it could have been for the longest, right? We've been talking about the superhero takes on Joe Burroughs.
Starting point is 00:06:40 And one time I was watching the game, I was just thinking how great he could be, right? Right. Even though people say he's great right now, he could be even greater in a better offense with a better team. But when you don't have defense, you're just going to constantly be losing the teams that you could be beating. And I know I've got to be frustrated for him. But this is what happens when you put all your money on offense. They got to put some money on defense. And this Jaguar team is looking like they'll be there come January. Yeah, Jacksonville.
Starting point is 00:07:17 I actually pick Jacksonville to win this game. Jacksonville is looking really, really good. Trevor Lawrence is ascending in to be the quarterback that they paid him to be. A lot of people are like, oh, yeah, you ain't Trevor Lawrence, all this money. How do they give him the money, that are that? They're paying because this is the problem, right?
Starting point is 00:07:35 We always pocketwatching. Not us, just in general. How are you going to give the nink's bullfucking 200, he ain't even do nothing yet? we're not in practice every day. We're not seeing the reps that he's getting every day. We're not seeing the things that the coaching staff management and ownership is seeing every day that's say we need to pay this, nigger, before we lose this, nigga.
Starting point is 00:07:59 We see this is going on with C.J. Strout right now. They said, all right, gamble on yourself, nigger. So far it doesn't look good. Trevor Lawrence is panning out to what they thought he would probably be. So Jacksonville is another team. I agree with Mace. This is going to be another year that they're going to make the playoffs, and then it's about what do they do next in the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:08:21 So shout out to Jacksonville. They look at really, really fucking good this year. Now back to the Bengals. You know, it's funny, man. Joe Burroughs had a sensational game. You look at this nigga number, over 400 yards, one TD. You lose Jamar Chase to a concussion. Then you lose T. Higgins.
Starting point is 00:08:40 two top receivers are not playing. And he was a yard a half, a yard and a half away from leading them to a comeback victory. You know, his receiver got short on fourth and whatever it was, one yard short of getting the first there. So he had a spectacular game. But Joe Burroughs, a lot of his problems are self-inflicted. Me and Nick was actually talking when the game was going on. Or rather, we're all in his group chat. And his fucking sacks, boys, you guys.
Starting point is 00:09:10 gotta get rid of the ball quicker. I know you want to make miracles. I know you say, nah, if I get three, four more seconds, this is going to happen. A lot of his sacks are self-inflicted. You know your offensive line is shaky, not just this year. I'm talking about whatever year. You have shaky offensive line, and you got to get rid of the ball. Now, this, you know, it's a rock and a hard place because, pause, you say it to myself,
Starting point is 00:09:34 you say it to yourself, right? Damn, I got T. Higgins. I got Jamar Chase. if I could get a few more seconds to let them finish the route, even if a 50-50 ball, I'm going with Jamar Chase. I'm going with T. Higgins. If I'm Joe Burroughs, that's my state of mind. But that's up to the offense coordinator
Starting point is 00:09:52 to probably get them better design plays that they don't have to be a 30-yard or more play. It doesn't have to be 25 yards. Get them the ball, 7-8 yards, pass, and let them do the rest and see what they can do. But trying to make it happen with Joe Burroughs holding on to the ball as long as he holds on to the ball, I don't see any future for Joe Burrow.
Starting point is 00:10:11 I mean, I see a future, of course, because he's one of the best quarterbacks in league. Even this game, like I said, is outstanding. But you're not going to have longevity getting beat up like this. Joe, you got to look out for yourself, nigga. You got to, my niggins. For your own safety. Get rid of the ball or talk to them niggas, man. You got to talk the offensive coordinator to get the ball out of your hands quick.
Starting point is 00:10:32 And I know it's hard when you got such great weapons. You got the best, at least top three. It depends on who you talking to. It can be some people say Puka, some people say Justin Jefferson, some people say Jamar Chase. But he's in that conversation, and he wanted to let his route play out. But you're in dangerous territory, nigga. I'm telling you that for your own safety.
Starting point is 00:10:53 You won't have a long career if you keep this up. Yeah, just in general, everybody's having a lot of injury issues because I know we also spoke about Jamar Chase, but T. Higgins is also day-to-day. It's not looking too great, but I'm hoping that they come back and can recover soon because the way the season was starting, It was like, okay, we're seeing some fire back from the Bengals, and that's what we want to see,
Starting point is 00:11:11 especially in this division, since we're seeing your team and my team is tied at the bottom. But hey, we'll see if things progress and change at the bottom. Unfortunately, didn't like that for me, but it happens. Okay, moving on to this potential fight, question mark. So Devin Haney and Shakur have received fight conversations after some back and forth on Twitter. So Shakur tweeted at Devin Haney, let's go.
Starting point is 00:11:34 Devin responded 157, no rehydration. get it done. So both sides have said money is not the main issue. 157? Yeah. 147. 147, you're correct. Yes. Both sides have said money is not the main issue. Instead, the fight still hinges on the weight limit in a proposed rehydration clause. So what are your thoughts, Mason, do you want to see this?
Starting point is 00:11:57 I'm over boxing. I'm over boxing. Nobody is fighting who they should fight. That's just my take on everything. I feel like, you know, they're not going to fight each other. If they do, I'll be very surprised. Shakura's not fighting who he should fight. Devin is not fighting who he should fight. Terrence Crawford, Boots and this, nobody's fighting who they should fight.
Starting point is 00:12:23 I know this might be a hot take, and I don't mean for it to be a hot take, but it is what it is. People are trying to fight who they can make money off and keep their undefeated record. It's just becoming a travesty to the sport. And if this was to happen, I will be very satisfied as a boxing fan. Like Camel, a lot of times talks about the entertainment side of boxing.
Starting point is 00:12:49 You guys are prize fighters. We only want to see you fight for the prize. We only want to see the fight that will prize the fans. If it's not a prize to the fans, it's not worth paying millions of dollars. This is how boxers take care of themselves by the people paying for the fight they want to see. So if you want to make a lot of money, fight the fights people really want to see. And one person I could take my hat off to is Devin Haney because he's actually looking for these fights that people want to see.
Starting point is 00:13:20 He's reaching out the people. He's going to people's fights. You know, he's asking for the fight. At least that's what I could see as a boxing casual. I want to see Boots versus Terrence. I want to see who else, Ryan versus Devin. Devin can't fight everybody but Ryan. And I want to see Shakur and Haney as well as Shakur and Giovante.
Starting point is 00:13:44 And the same thing with Giovante. You can't just fight all these people that's coming up to fight them and coming down, pause to fight them. You know who we want to see, man. When you ready, fight Shakur, man. I couldn't have said it better. I'm not buying no fights until the contract sign. And when I see the contract sign,
Starting point is 00:14:06 then I'll be like, okay, they're going to fight. If you want to see the fights, just go to Twitter. They're on there fighting every day. That's where all the fights at. Go to Twitter and see everybody fighting each other. You know what I'm saying? So I don't even really have more to add on to what Mesa said. Outside of, you know, Terrance Crawford being retired,
Starting point is 00:14:27 I would like to see Fondora fight boots. It's a lot of decent fights niggins can have, but niggas ain't taking chances. And I hate when people compare themselves to niggas who took chances. Like you'll see a lot of niggas be like, yo, he's like Floyd, he's like, no, Floyd was taking chances, nigga.
Starting point is 00:14:48 I think that a lot of people forget pre-Oskar Delahoya, talking about Floyd Maywell, what Floyd was out here doing to people. You know, after Oscar Della Hoyer, he said, oh, y'all niggas want to see me lose. I want to sit here and fight Cotto because he brings a Puerto Rico where I'm going to sit here and fight.
Starting point is 00:15:09 What's my nigger name in England, white nigger? I can't even think of it. Ricky Hatt. Thanks, Larry. Ricky Hatt, because he brings the country with him. He starts saying, okay, all y'all people want to see me lose, bring your country with you. And he's a little more cautious, but he beat you boxing.
Starting point is 00:15:26 before Oscar Delahoya, Floyd was fucking niggas up. Not saying he wasn't fucking a fucking number after, but he's doing more boxing style. I don't know if y'all ever seen it, you know, and even the boxes this day-to-day that say they love Floyd. Go watch Floyd against Otero Gotti.
Starting point is 00:15:42 It's one of the most vicious things you'll ever see in your life, man. And y'all don't have these fights to compare yourself to these people. You get what I'm saying? Like, no, he's like Floyd or, or yo, he like Mike Tyson. You know, heavyweight nigga knockout.
Starting point is 00:15:56 12 niggas, they get knocked out in the 13 fight. He wasn't like Mike Tyson. You get what I'm saying? Stop comparing to yourself to these people. Because don't get me wrong, I understand what it is now. You're trying to think about your longevity. You're trying to get your health. You're trying to fight to get the maximum dollar when you fight.
Starting point is 00:16:18 But at the end of the day, it's not entertaining the boxing fans. And to Mesa's point, I'm over to shit myself too, because like Stad just said, reports say. I'm tired of reports say. Reports is always saying, I can't keep going off report's sake. Where's the contract inside?
Starting point is 00:16:37 And right now it's a mess. I know Dana White shot to my man and Dana White, where he's trying to get everything together over at Zufa. But every time I look up, the fight is somewhere else. And I'm not saying don't get your money and don't try to be your own promoter or anything else.
Starting point is 00:16:50 But God damn, man. I turned on TV the other day. It's a fight on TNT. when they start fighting on T&T. I didn't even know the fight's coming on motherfucking T&T. It's the zone. It's show the time. It's this app. It's another app. Listen, man, y'all need to all meet up and get this shit together
Starting point is 00:17:08 because if you love boxing, it's hard to love it. And you got to do other shit to keep yourself entertained because I'm not jacking reports. Reports say. Yeah, and this is, in the last couple of years, Is people getting sick before the fight? This is the different fighters than I'm used to seeing, you know? Stomach aches, all the kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:17:33 See, the thing about is this. I don't get it. Yeah, 100%. See, nobody wants to stay old to go, and I get it. Or they don't want to get in trouble or anything. But you got to think about this. Everybody's not Floyd. And it's other people who have losses who came back to be still superstars.
Starting point is 00:17:49 And I know I'm going to the cremdella crumb, but you're thinking about Pachia. Paguel took three, four losses. Five losses. Six, seven losses got knocked out and people will still come back to see him. Canello lost convincingly to Teresh Crawford. When he fights again, the stadium will be packed.
Starting point is 00:18:08 He lost to Floyd Mayweather, too. The stadium will be packed. He lost to another nigga. I don't even know that nigga named that he lost. He's a bona fide superstar, and he continues to fight to keep his name out there. That's the thing. I would even like to see Virgil and Boots fight.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Virgil and Boots will be a good fight. At least it looks like a good fight on paper. The thing about it is, man, you want to wait for GTA-6 to get right? Come on, none of these fightses, motherfucking happen. It's not going to happen, man. I hope it happens. Yeah, I wish it.
Starting point is 00:18:49 I mean, and here at it is what it is. We like all of the fighters that we mentioned. No need to respond. We like all the fighters. We're just saying, let's start fighting people that people want to see you fight. You're in a fighting business.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Fight people. That's what you're in. You're in a hurting business. You're in a hurting business. Yeah, we're fans of the sport. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? And probably fans of the sport
Starting point is 00:19:13 longer than y'all been fighting. So it isn't personal, just that we want to see, you want to see. Think about this, right? Everybody you name. Yes. Everybody you just name. Think about this.
Starting point is 00:19:23 you didn't even put Tank in it because it's been so long since Tank Fight that he's not in the conversation. Yeah. And Tank was a bona fide Superstar. He was right there. But you're not even saying, y'all want to see Tank Fight him.
Starting point is 00:19:36 We haven't seen anything with Tank and there's no disrespect, Tank, I'm a Tank fan. But there's too much other shit going on with Tank that we can't even be like, yeah, if Tank Fight Devon, the Tank Fight Ryan again or whatever. You don't even name him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:50 And we want to see Tank fan. Tank is definitely one of the ones. one. Yes. And back in the day, they didn't just fight. They did trilogies. They did the one,
Starting point is 00:19:59 two, and the three. Oh, you beat me this time? I got you next time and then they come back and do a third fight. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was like the best era. They didn't care about the loss.
Starting point is 00:20:08 They wanted a three-peat or, you know, Shane Mosley and Oscar Delahoya for three times. You have Paki, you have fight, Barrera. Listen, man, that's what makes the world go round. Last time we got something like that, Larry, to your point,
Starting point is 00:20:21 and it was dope, It was fly and shit with Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? He got up, fought him again. You know, that was a dope trilogy, absolutely. Yeah. Yeah, people don't even run it back no more.
Starting point is 00:20:37 Just, it's like, oh, you got that one I retire. It's just, it's crazy. And I was going back to the herms and Haggela and Sugar Ray, like all, like when y'all said the- I think social media put that pressure on people because the people that lost some people in the past, they didn't lose to the whole world, like on social media where you could keep playing a video. I think that that plays into the psyche of people. Like seeing yourself on the floor,
Starting point is 00:21:04 I would think that does something to you mentally, especially if you see a person keep knocking you down. And then you're like, wow, pause, I can't, I can't beat this person. And then people replaying it, putting memes on it. You know, that's what it really is. People don't want to be embarrassed. But that's why you prepare. Any of us that have played sports, understand that. Like, no, I'm not going out there to be embarrassed, and that's what made you work harder. You know, stop clubbing, stop partying,
Starting point is 00:21:35 and take the crap more serious. I want to read this other tweet by Shakur that has now since been deleted, and that's when it's so deep into my computer because I was like, where is it? But it's, like, screenchatted and stuff for it. So he basically said, so let me ask y'all something.
Starting point is 00:21:49 I have to move up from 135 to 140 to 147 all in three fights back to back and allow Devin to come in the ring at 170 pounds while I weigh 148 for it to be fair to y'all after I just scratched the 144 catch weight I really want to know so of course these weights are personal estimates it's not certified numbers but hearing that basically kind of like back and forth from him what's your opinion on that hearing that from Shakur I just don't think you could be a victim in a sport of boxing Like, you know, it's a hurt business. But what I do respect about what he's saying is that he's willing to make the fight
Starting point is 00:22:26 even if it's at 147. So shout out to Shakura. They have weight class for a reason, right? If you're going to be coming in the fight at 170, I think that's kind of too heavy to be fighting somebody at 140. So I'm in agreement with Shakura when it comes to that. If you want that kind of advantage over people, I don't think that's the right thing to do if you're going to fight somebody in. And some boxing people that really understand boxing, say no matter what weighty is, you should fight them.
Starting point is 00:23:00 But that doesn't make sense. It's like you're at a, you're at a, you're at a welterweight fighting somebody that I forgot the name of what it was, but that you're getting up there almost a light heavy weight. You can't be fighting a light heavy weight in saying you're. well to wait. Like, no, that's not cool. So I agree with Shikor and that. I think it depends on the money because if, and it's not, I'm not comparing this to their situation. If the money was right, you do it, the nigger tank was going to fight Jake Paul. Take Paul like 210. I'm not saying it's a real fight, but this thing was 140 pounds. Niggas going to get that man, 50 million, nigga said,
Starting point is 00:23:48 nigga, we good. We're figured it out. We figured it out. We're good, man. It depends on the money. Same thing like we're talking about Terrence Crawford fighting Canelo. Terrence Crawford moved up
Starting point is 00:24:02 two weight classes to fight Canello because he knew the money. Not only the money, I'm not saying he's jacking it for the money, but it was a legacy fight for him. Because you got a lot of people like, who did Terrence Crawford fight? Who did he fight?
Starting point is 00:24:16 Okay. this is y'all king, I'm gonna move up two weight classes to fight him. So it's a legacy fight outside. Not only that, it's the biggest payday he probably would have got during that time. So to me, if nigger offer you the right money, you're going to figure it out. But I'm not disrespectful with May said I, or which of course, it is a big deal. Weight matters. Weight does matter.
Starting point is 00:24:40 The punches get harder, paws as much as the more you weigh. Yeah, and the gloves. get lighter. So I would say this even in Terrence Crawford, and you know I'm a really big fan of Terrence Crawford, but he wouldn't afford David, David Benavides because of, and he, and David Benavides could have made the same weight that, that Canello made, because he knows that he could beat Canello. This is what I'm trying to say throughout all of boxing, everybody is just fighting the people they know they could beat. The people that could be a challenge, they're not fighting. And you know, out of all of them, I like Terrence Crawford's
Starting point is 00:25:18 the most, but if he could fight Canello, he would have fought Benavides. He would fight Benavides that would have been at the same weight as Canello, but that would be a more dangerous fight. I'm saying people are not going towards danger and daring to, that's really daring to be great at the same way. If you ask them right now, and I don't want to even go further in that conversation, but I know if you probably ask them for the same way, you're asking them, for the money would you fight David Benavides, the energy would have been different at the same way. I disagree. I'd say this because at the end of the day, I'm not saying anything wrong about the fight,
Starting point is 00:25:56 but I'm not just me in general. I'm going to make a $100 million more fighting Canelo. It's still a business for me. I get what you said too, like, nah, fuck the money. I just want to be dangerous. Nah, I ain't doing that. I got to go get the money. No, I'm saying if they gave him a hundred million, the same hundred million,
Starting point is 00:26:20 to fight David Benavides at the same weight that he fought Canelo, I don't think he would take it. It's superstarship too at the same time. Like I said, I'm not disagreeing what you're saying. I understand what you're saying. But they got to make sense, too. That's why David Benavides wants to fight Canello so bad. So I have to debate David Benavir's friend of the show, my nigga.
Starting point is 00:26:44 And first of all, you're right, it's dangerous. That is dangerous to fight him. It's just dangerous to fight the nigga. But this goes back to business. We're going to give you the same money, but it's the fight going to have the same magic. Canelo name is Canello. Like, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:27:03 Like, it's name. I'm not just, with your point is valid, I'm not disagreeing your point, but it's like, yo, we're going to play at the YMCA, we're going to play at the garden. Yeah. That's all I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:27:15 But, yeah, I think a better saying, instead of saying Crawford, I think a better analogy which you should use is, and I can't tell you what to say this is my opinion, why won't Canelo fight Benavides? That's a better one. Yeah, you say, need $200 million. Yeah, and you're all around the same way. That's the real question, not Crawford.
Starting point is 00:27:36 It's more about, okay, David Benavis keeps calling you out. He keeps beating people. Y'all are close to the same way. He'll come down to whatever. I'm pretty sure David Benavitas will come to any weight. Canello wants to. Canello keep acting like he don't hear, niggas. He keeps ignoring this.
Starting point is 00:27:52 I don't know who y'all talking about. Who's Benavitas and all that? But that's the danger that you're talking about, my perspective on what you're saying. Absolutely. He's a dangerous fight. Okay. We will see what happens.
Starting point is 00:28:08 Hopefully we'll see some fights go on, but we'll see. I mean, they have a lot to discuss, and we'll see what they decided. to do. So what is the expectation for black celebs when speaking on social issues? We will discuss after the break. Welcome back. So this is more of a general discussion, right? When you're black and famous, some people may feel the black community often looks at you as they're representative for a lot of
Starting point is 00:29:18 social and economic issues. So Mace, what are your thoughts on that? Do you feel like you have to be more of representative for those type of issues? Do you feel like you need to lean back and have you ever had to kind of like represent something that you may have not fully aligned with. What's your thought process on that? Is the question about me or is the question about black celebrity? It can be about you or black celebrities as a whole because we've seen a lot of just famous people speak out on things. I think I think that's a real interesting point because for the most part when it comes to being
Starting point is 00:29:51 celebrities in America and being black or African American, I know Cam says he's not African American, but just if you're talking about being brown and celebrity and in America, there is a weight for you to carry on issues that you may not even have the wisdom to address. People want you to be the person, to be the spokesman for things. And a lot of times when you're speaking for things, number one, you got to know what you're talking about. Number two, you got to be willing to sacrifice something to take that stance. And I think a lot of times people want you to speak on things that they wouldn't be willing to lose things for it, right? But they want you to lose things for it.
Starting point is 00:30:41 And I don't think that's fair, especially if that's not something that I really, really have information on. Because when you don't have information, sometimes you could sound crazy just like sometimes we hear celebrities talking about politics. and then people start saying stay in your lane, stay in your lane. And then when you don't talk about it, they say you're a sellout. So I think it's kind of like a catch-22. Either way, it doesn't work for the celebrity unless they really know what they're talking about. And again, really willing to sacrifice their earnings, their livelihood for the thing they're talking about. I wouldn't advise people to do it unless they're ready to do both.
Starting point is 00:31:22 the question got too many layers for one answer that was a great answer especially if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about like me say they want you to step out there and you don't know what the fuck you're talking about and you'd be like yeah and then next thing you know you caught up in some shit
Starting point is 00:31:37 that you didn't even know what you was talking about in the first place I'll sum it up in the quickest possible right are you a revolutionist I know you're trying to give money Are you a revolutionist I just text you that the other day What was that
Starting point is 00:32:09 And I text you Slaved to the rhythm Yeah yeah That's what I was saying Are you trying to start a revolution because you're going to be a revolutionist and say, yo, I'm dedicating my life to this. You got people that's dedicating their life
Starting point is 00:32:27 to the revolution or whatever they think is their, quote-unquote, revolution. And then you got niggins who'd be like, yo, I'm good, I just want to stay out the way, man. I got mine. I don't really want, I ain't really got time to be ducking and dodging and hiding because this nigga mad.
Starting point is 00:32:46 Especially, like me, I don't get involved with politics. That shit is worse than anything we're doing. You'd be at the fucking supermarket. Fuck you, yeah! You know, that shit, politics is, I don't get involved with it. And I know you're not specifically talking about politics just in general. Look, man, the real ones got killed.
Starting point is 00:33:14 I don't know, that's what I want to say. The niggas, and they fought for something. You know what I'm saying? Are you ready to do that? Are you ready to die? for what you believe in or to make the next generation or the generation afterwards
Starting point is 00:33:31 better than what you're living at now, that's what you're talking about when you're asking me the question. I get what you're saying. It's not that deep the question you're asking. But I'm old enough to know that... People try that. Yeah, people...
Starting point is 00:33:48 And I don't want people taking it wrong way because they'll be like, oh, you're disrespecting. I'm talking about like, Ma'on Luther King, got killed. Michael Max got killed by other black people. These are people that's trying to start revolutions or get you to become something.
Starting point is 00:34:04 And that may not be that deep on the question, but how far are you willing to go as a black man? Yeah. That's the question. And then after these people were assassinated, their families weren't taken care of by the same people that you could say they did all of this for.
Starting point is 00:34:25 What's the payoff? Why are you doing it? And what you're doing it for? Just like, I don't mean, same thing happened with Kappanak. You saw how that went. Yeah. I mean, I will add some people really do feel as if that's their purpose, because if one person doesn't do it, it's very unlikely for somebody else to step in and do it.
Starting point is 00:34:47 And the question does become deeper just because there's so many layers to it. This is why I always say, like, I started. thinking I wanted to do politics. And then I pivoted to sports because I would rather argue with somebody about their favorite sports team than argue about something that I know is genuinely affecting them day to day and say the wrong
Starting point is 00:35:05 things and be hurting people that I'm not trying to hurt. And so to kind of further this question before we go to our next topic, because So you took the path of a least resistance? No, I took the path that I think made more sense for me. Because we all live different lives, so something that is important to me
Starting point is 00:35:20 might be somebody else doesn't care about, but it's super important to somebody else which could cost their lives, their family, that I don't have the same experience with. So I wanted to be sure I was making more of a positive impact than negative. So I went sports because I'm like, okay,
Starting point is 00:35:37 we can laugh, we can joke, we could. Politics is a serious beast that you decide to enter and once you're in it, you can't revert back out of it. It just doesn't work like that. So. And I will answer me question, or not this question, we asked you a question and asked me, I took the least resistance.
Starting point is 00:35:53 I ain't got time, man. I had too much resistance already. Give me the least resistance, man. You know how much resistance niggins have to fight? The last 15 years, I've chosen the least resistance. Because I don't, listen, you don't want to spend the second half of your life fight and argue and pickering, especially if you're already in a good place in life. Now, if you're trying to get more, and then,
Starting point is 00:36:22 That's why I said the question of Malay is Then you got people doing all this shit, right? And I'm not throwing this on now. I'm just talking about what I heard. When the whole shit was going on, and I have no knowledge because I didn't do the homework. I didn't want to do the homework. When the COVID and everything and the pandemic was going on,
Starting point is 00:36:38 they took them out, yo, you got to give to Black Lives Matter, black Lives Matter. Niggas about, niggas robbing. I'm telling you. I'm about niggas robbing from Black Lives Matter. I'm like, who's robbing from Black Lives Matter? Black Lives Matter.
Starting point is 00:36:55 This is the stuff that was going on around it. I don't know who was running it. I don't know who was stealing from it. But they have black people mad than other black people because they're friends of mine about the shit. I'm not supporting Black Lives Matter. That's some white niggas. I'm like, white niggas is running Black Lives Matter?
Starting point is 00:37:11 And I'm just telling you from niggas that I'm real, real cool with. Like, shot my nigga Duke to God. I remember he was like, I'm not supporting Black Lives Matter. Kempney running fucking scheme. I'm like, it's a scheme on black. I don't know. But he was on that shit, like, yo, they was running a ski. Yeah, this is what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Who's getting the money? Now, Larry doesn't represent this show. You got to put that to scream off. Yeah, no, I represent this show to the fullest. But no, there was a lot of stuff going on about the financials and the people who were running it. They were taking the money. They were buying mansions. They were doing other things.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Off of black lives, man. Yeah, there's a lot of stuff. Listen, listen, there's a lot of things that are going on in this country that I kind of agree with Duke on like even NAACP is not that was for my white people like it's a lot of things that go on man that people are waking up to that you know you don't you kind of don't know politics is polytrics to me I mean these bad men's or black lives right listen the roma was they can I can I interject so I don't know because I know you're saying what sometimes white people fund things but NDACP was prominent civil right activist
Starting point is 00:38:24 So it was like a group of like very strong. Yeah, don't mess with stat. W.E.B. Du Bois, I.W. Wells, Mary White, Avington. Are you reading or you know this? No, I'm, I knew the first statement, but the actual, all the people involved, I wouldn't know all the founders of the NAACP, but I just want to make that clear because I, hey. There's a lot of things that they put the people in place that were started from those people, is what I'm saying. That's all I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:38:49 So that's got an NACP award. So she's like, I got one. That's why she was rapping it. I got one too. And I can tell you right now. You got NAACP people? Yeah, I got all kind of shit. Listen, the... Where you get an N-A-D-A-C?
Starting point is 00:39:04 Oh, man. I do a lot of my community in Vegas. But also, to also add, I don't think that having white allies is a bad thing when there is race riots. So, like, I wouldn't just say that... I just think that that's a disservice to the organization by saying it was formed by white people
Starting point is 00:39:20 if white people allied with black people who created the organization to help uplift us. I don't talk bad about organizations that are you against white people? Your girl was taking the money. They were getting funded. They were taking the money and they were buying mansions and cars and it's all documented. Look it up. It's all documented.
Starting point is 00:39:38 That's what Duke was saying. It's like it's a thing to put out there. I know people think Duke is crazy, but Duke was on point on some of that stuff. I'm not saying it's all true. I'm just saying there was a lot of it. They were funding them the money and the girl, the lady, buying mansions and the other dude bought a couple of houses. Like, it wasn't going to what it was supposed to go to.
Starting point is 00:39:59 And that's what we're saying. You're saying. I'm saying, 100%. I don't know. I just want to put that out there. I don't want to stretch false information. There's probably, there's probably legors. And that's what I'm saying, I'm never going to be mad at white people funding things to
Starting point is 00:40:16 uplift black people. I'm just not. Sorry. Yeah, you got crazy people. You got crazy people in a way. world black and white. I'm a firm believer of that. I don't think all black people are bad and all white people are not good, you know. I agree with that, too. I don't think they're all bad. But they definitely do us dirty. They definitely do us dirty when it comes to like, when you think about like,
Starting point is 00:40:40 I mean, like Kim said earlier, you got Malcolm X. I mean, who killed Malcolm X? Like, who funded those things? There were people, UEP knew. Like, all these people were, they get funded somewhere. The black people wasn't funding it. Do you think somebody funded to kill Malcolm X? Oh, yeah. I mean, this-action. Yeah, yeah, 100% I do. Yeah, I think that.
Starting point is 00:41:03 Larry going deep. Larry X. FBI, who killed them? You don't think Elijah Muhammad was upset? I do think that there were things, but, I mean, I don't, I think that the FBI, I think they had a lot, a lot of control behind that. I mean, you think, what's the guy, what's the young man in Chicago? They killed him.
Starting point is 00:41:20 is the European Newton? Yeah, the Panthers. Yeah, I mean, like, all of that is, all of that is, I mean, it's CIA driven. Listen, rap was CIA driven. Y'all don't believe rap was CIA driven? I think we're, I, we're losing.
Starting point is 00:41:36 Yeah, but the camera on camera on camera. You don't have, you don't have a top, you don't have a top 40 rap song right now. You don't have a top, it's all. What do I got to do with the CIA, Larry? Because those programs. Listen, we talk about this on Alienator. These programs were all funded back then.
Starting point is 00:41:57 Ice Cube, you can get you yay from the CIA, Babeay. All that was designed. Y'all don't remember, y'all don't understand that? The freeway Ricky Ross, all of that was designed. I ran Contra. Come on, man, y'all got, y'all. No, I believe some of what you're saying,
Starting point is 00:42:13 but a lot of it is just rap driven. The CIA had everything on rap for y'all. that music was detrimental at that time that's what the new programs have come out now to talk about this is all out there's information out there so when the rap start becoming good then huh well think about it when you
Starting point is 00:42:34 was backpack rap good when you were coming up was that prevalent was that really good thing or was it more about kill kill kill murder murder murder was it that no no when I first started listening to hip-hop it was positive it was definitely positive It was poor righteous teachers and people like that. And that's why I said the shift change. Okay.
Starting point is 00:42:53 That's where the shift came. Me and Ken was just talking about that about the ex-clan and them, right? There was always somebody righteous, no matter if it was somebody gangster or not. Yeah, yeah. But they didn't do, they didn't do well. Well, well. Tribe called Quest is sensational. And public enemy.
Starting point is 00:43:10 And the, and native tongue pause. Even the, hey, a broken clock is right two times a day. every now and then you got the tokens, you got the ones but for the most part, it was in the... Johnny brother. I'm just saying it was a lot of...
Starting point is 00:43:29 Arrested development. Come on, bro. Those are, come on, bro. That wasn't what y'all. I'm not saying y'all personally, I'm just saying LL KooJ I thought was dope, super dope, right? But they, I mean, they pushed it, then they pushed it, the gangster rap
Starting point is 00:43:43 became prevalent. Gangster. You're driving on your car, all of a sudden you push the gas a little bit, you go to a little bit faster, that music, that tempo was different. All fun about a, all fun about a CIA. Just go down to rap and a whole. That's all I want you all.
Starting point is 00:43:57 Let's go down to rap, I'm telling you. It's deep. It's deeper than rap to me. It's also subjective though, because it's also based off of experiences. I'll add that too. But to my next point, before we move on, just to kind of add to this topic as a whole,
Starting point is 00:44:11 because I know our algorithms are probably all different, but social media is at a point where I feel like it's pretty heavy right now. You know, there's just a lot of things going on. So just to kind of circle back, like I said, before we move on, Mace, how much do you feel like it's your responsibility to speak on certain things? Like what decides whether you do speak on certain issues or not? Because it is a lot.
Starting point is 00:44:33 I only speak on the things I know about. If I don't know about it, I don't feel led to talk about it. If it's not something that's really in my heart to talk about, I'm not talking about it. I'm not going to let people make me feel like I have to talk about it. about something when I'm really not led to talk about it. And what's the exact question? Yeah, how much do you feel like it's your responsibility is to speak on certain things?
Starting point is 00:44:56 What decides whether you do or don't? I'll speak on sports and social topics. Everything else I'm not really trying to get involved with. Like, even like up here, like a lot of times, like the situation yesterday, right? With the, with the audit, I want to beat a dead horse or whatever. Nobody said nothing to them. So sometimes I feel I need to defend us as a show or you or whatever So sometimes I'll say something
Starting point is 00:45:23 But sometimes I'll be feeling like I don't want to say something even Because it's like you're just reaching to get a response But sometimes I say shit But just to go out and write Say something that's not my business Not really not that much Because you have to think about this too When you chime in on certain shit
Starting point is 00:45:44 How much is it affect your voice is going to have? It's Tom's right I give an example right and this isn't on the level you're talking about as people will be like yo something I know is beefing with another nigga I know
Starting point is 00:45:56 they're like okay if you could squash that I'm like no I can't because if this shit go left after I squash it whoever the person goes left the other thing gonna be like
Starting point is 00:46:08 yo you put your name on that you said it y'all figure it out you know what I'm saying like if I really feel genuinely that I can help that situation then I would genuinely help it. But if I can't trust one or two of the parties,
Starting point is 00:46:23 I'm not going to put my name on it. So a lot of times I'm on my business with a lot of things because, you know, that's on a smaller level, but on a bigger level with Mace said, y'all know what you're talking about because there's people out here now, especially with all this technology talking about the internet chat, GBT, Google, etc.
Starting point is 00:46:42 They'll go try and do more research than you've done to make you look crazy. Yeah. Yeah. I think last thing I'll add, for me, it's actually difficult and it's a thin line because I am such an empathetic person. So if I see hurt people, it's like, and maybe it's just like the nature of, I don't know, being a woman. Like I'm just like, I want to help or I want to like figure out a solution, especially if it's people that I care about. But I think even just what you guys were talking about, like, obviously our voices have power. And I think, I think, being in the role that I am in, like, I, I, I sometimes I'll say things. Like, that was me. Like, I would, I would tell somebody what you said was mean. It's like, why are you so? Because it was mean, but that's just my thought process and how I think, because I just think that everybody, like, because you know how there's a discussion? Like, some people say, not everybody
Starting point is 00:47:37 should just be treated with respect. You have to earn respect. I've heard that. I don't feel like somebody has to earn respect from me. I feel like you would have to lose respect for. me. That's my mindset about it. So it's like difficult for me. I'd rather talk about how the Nix ain't paying Carl Anthony Towns is $76 million. Y'all got fun with that shit. Yo, how y'all niggas don't want to pay this nigga this bread and he just won a championship? Like yo, yeah, because it's too much seriousness for me today.
Starting point is 00:48:07 I ain't really with all this. Y'all three can have fun with that. Yo, the Knicks are about to start the season. Carl Anthony Towns is under contract negotiating. and the max he could get is $76 million and they don't even want to come close to pay. No, no, pardon me, more than that. They want him to take a $76 million pay cut.
Starting point is 00:48:30 How do you feel about a $76 million pay cut after just winning the championship? What do you feel about that? This is disrespect at its highest. I'm glad we're bringing it back to sports because, yeah, this is disrespect at its highest. If we're in a generation that's about what have you done for me lately, I've won the championship lately.
Starting point is 00:48:55 This is what I've done. It's not like you can sit down and talk with this man about how he didn't perform in the finals. Because he showed up, he actually bawled out in the finals. He was one of the key contributors to bringing a championship to the Knicks after all these years. and you still don't pay them. This is classic Dolan. This is classic Dolan. This is the same Dolan that Charles Oakley scored it out.
Starting point is 00:49:28 So you talk about, you talk about, you know, good old boys. This got good old boy written all over it. I just got to call it what I got to call it. How do you dare not pay Carl Anthony Towns? If there was two people you have to pay on this, team, it would have been Carl Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson. Those people should be able to do whatever they want in New York. These are the two that should have a street named after them.
Starting point is 00:49:56 And definitely he should get paid by the New York Knicks. I don't care where they have to get the money from. Just like they did with, um, Balma did for, for Kauai. Find me the others. Figure it out. Figure it out. Figure it out. Yeah, figure it out.
Starting point is 00:50:13 And don't tell me about it. You just put the money in the account. Don't tell me nothing. I don't know where it came from. And not only got you up, but it's like, yo, because Carl Anthony Towns already agreed, like, yo, okay, I'm down to take a pay cut. Okay, McCall Bridges took the pay cut. Jalen Brunson took the pay cut.
Starting point is 00:50:37 That's what we need to. Not that much cut. Yeah, come on, man. $76 million is a lot to take. They can pay cut fresh off being an NBA champion. Not only that. Last season, you know, you can argue, bam. I know we had a conversation last basketball season.
Starting point is 00:50:57 Bam, I'm saying trying to think, but M.B. was hurt. What was a better senator than Carl Anthony Towns in the Eastern Conference? Nobody. Nobody. You got to pay Carl Anthony Towns. I know they made all of these memes about them. plan around, but shout out the car Anthony Towns. And he was a class act when he came to uniting the Knicks culture, right?
Starting point is 00:51:25 So after he wins the championship, he's even respectful to Patrick Ewing. All of that goes a long way, man. He's shooting commercials with John Starks. Pay that man. That man was respectful. That man came and did his job. He bawled out. He brought the championship back to New York.
Starting point is 00:51:44 York, man. Nobody else been able to do that in a very long time. You got to pay car, Anthony Towns. And not only that, that whole situation could have went left. You know, you got to give your tip your hat to Leon Rose and World Wide
Starting point is 00:52:00 West because Julius Randall was a crowd favorite. Yeah. So the trade, and not only him, Deven Chenzo as well. So when you get rid of Deven Chenzo and you get rid of Julius Randall who both New York fan base love and you're like, It paid off.
Starting point is 00:52:16 I mean, call in. I'm talking about Minnesota call in. He's like, yeah, I ain't him and Rudy. Go beer out there, man. Yeah, I ain't. So when you make that trade, I don't care what you say, Nick Fins. They was mad. Sin was mad.
Starting point is 00:52:30 How are you going to get rid of the motherfucking Jury? How are you going to get Diven Tensu? That's our shooter. Nick Fins was mad, and I was actually consoling a lot of Nick Fins. I said, listen, he spreads the floor out. He pours. He can shoot the three ball. It matters.
Starting point is 00:52:44 when the season comes. Next thing you're talking about you seen the big bodega last night? I said, you're hating on the big bodega for us the other night. So back to what you were saying, part of Yatesake,
Starting point is 00:52:59 is James Dolan and said, I got mine. Yo, fam, I got my, listen, man, you got to think about this. Dump championships. It's the last week. Yeah, listen,
Starting point is 00:53:10 Dump championships that was previous, 50 years ago, whatever, and that was his father. Even when they was getting to the championship, that's his father. This is him winning the championship tomorrow. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:53:20 You know how much Nick Tickets this year is going to be? He's like, I'm trying to get mine back, man. Nick Tickets this year is going to be out the sky. It's going to be ridiculous, bro. It's going to be like Golden State when they won or possibly even more because it's New York. Not only that, a lot of black people are Irma, whichever you want to quote it,
Starting point is 00:53:41 you know, you see, of course, my brof, fat Joe, you see Tracy Morgan, of course, Spike Lee. Y'all don't even know the white people they be shown. Dumb niggas is rich, rich, rich, rich, rich. When you sit there and say, Larry, who's Larry David? Who's that d'all? He worth 600 million. Seinfeld.
Starting point is 00:54:03 These are people that don't mind paying the extra to see their championship team win. So y'all can forget about, like, trying to get the max and all. I think Jalen Brunson will get it when it's time, especially if they went again. But back to what May said. The good old boys is in.
Starting point is 00:54:20 James Dolan said, I got mine, you get chores, and we'll see what goes from there. So I have a question. What if it was y'all, right? Because I know 76 million is a huge gap, of course. But if you know that you could, one, keep the team together,
Starting point is 00:54:34 potentially win another title, would you do it or no, you need that 76 mil? You need the hole. 76 is a lot. to turn your back on. Thinking about it. I mean, are you asking from a player's position for?
Starting point is 00:54:50 If it were you guys. Or general men or owner's position? Player position. Okay. Okay. I just wanted to be clear. Yeah, we already won a championship. I need my 76.
Starting point is 00:55:03 What do you think a fair number is for him to take the cut on? 76. We won it all, Larry. It's not like we were running. What I'm saying is Cam said everybody took a pay cut. What do you think a fair number would be like $10 million, like a $10 million pay cut or? Do you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:55:20 Couldn't be no more than 10 because we won it. When they took a pay cut, we didn't win. We won after the, we won now. Everybody should be getting ready to get paid. Yeah. This is the time to get paid. McKell got paid. How are you not going to pay me?
Starting point is 00:55:38 That's what I would be thinking. And not that McKell ain't good. He took a pay cut too, though. Yeah, but he took a pay cut, and he didn't perform like I showed up. I showed up. Yeah. I don't know the exact number of how much he should not take, but he's a very, very, very. It shouldn't be $76 million.
Starting point is 00:56:00 If you want to say and argue, he's the second best player, if you want to argue. 76 million for how many years? Some people may say OG and the nobly. some people may say Josh Hart's the heart of the team. If you're thinking about the second best player, Josh Hart as well, they're trying to rob him. There's a lot of shit James Dolan
Starting point is 00:56:20 doing right now that we probably need to start talking about. Basketball starting to, listen, fans, we're going to start talking about basketball more this week and weeks to come because basketball's in two weeks. It's preseason games last night. Preseason that started. People are playing right now. So we need to start getting on top of this and letting y'all know what's going on
Starting point is 00:56:38 because right now it's a black cloud over Josh Hart as well. Josh Hart is not, they don't want to pay Josh Hart. He's a hard soul. I'm not saying he's Draymond, but he's Draymore for the Knicks. You know what I'm saying? So James Dolan, you got to pay niggas. That's just that. He's saying, now, respect to James Dolan,
Starting point is 00:56:58 who do you want me to pay? Because I can't pay everybody. Everybody's not going to get paid what they want. We do know that, Kim. There's some people that didn't get paid. or this is why you got to go into the luxury tax. For those that don't know how the luxury tax, do you know how the luxury tax works?
Starting point is 00:57:14 Of course you know everything. I forgot. Of course you do. The luxury tax goes like this, and you can correct me if I'm wrong stack. But I think from last my understanding, you get a salary cap every year. You can go over your salary cap,
Starting point is 00:57:30 but for every dollar you go over your salary cap is 85 cents to the league. So you're really paying 15 cents on the dollar to keep people over the luxury tax. Now back to what you were saying, Mace, you know who had to go on a luxury tax every year? Go to the state. You want a dynasty or you don't.
Starting point is 00:57:53 You got to pay for a dynasty, man. You got to dip in the luxury tax. And the thing about it is this. See, James Dolan, a majority of his money, is not from the Knicks. It's a Wall Street type. cool. So that's what niggas even more mad about like, yo, why are you
Starting point is 00:58:12 wowling? Come on, bro. You got $32 billion off Wall Street. So that's how I got the 32. I'm not going to be saying everybody, man. That makes sense. That makes sense. You got your money from somewhere else people meeting you and trying to get you to
Starting point is 00:58:28 spend it on a new venture. This is a new venture. This ain't Wall Street. He might tell you, I got my somewhere else, get yours somewhere else. Yeah. Invest it. Yeah. And then just to get the exact number. So if it's $5 million over, it's $1.50 per dollar, $10 million, $1.75, $15 million, $2.50.
Starting point is 00:58:46 And it just keeps to slow that down. Oh, yeah, sorry. Yeah. So $5 million over it's $1.50 per dollar. $10 million over a dollar. So real quick. Let's slow down for the money. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Over the luxury tax, over the, pardon me, over the salary cap. Yeah. Every $5 million you're over is. So $0 to $5 million is $1.50 per dollar. 10 million over is what? $5 million to $10 million is $1.75 per dollar. So you're paying more than... You might end up paying twice.
Starting point is 00:59:18 I'm not paying twice. Who side you on, though? Yeah, I'm not saying. Wait, wait, who side are you on? You just was on Carl Anthony Telfide. Like, yeah, he needs that bread. Now you're like... You had a point.
Starting point is 00:59:29 You had a point. Who got a point, though? Who got the point? James Dolan? James Dolan. So not from the athlete perspective. Jane Dolan said, you want me to give him $150 now? Are we asking for one?
Starting point is 00:59:46 Per dollar. Yeah. Are we saying giving $150 now? He coming to the guy saying, you know, this is what you're going to get paid, but this is what is going to cost me. So after I give you what you're asking for a pause, I still got to pay this tax. Yeah, to the league.
Starting point is 01:00:04 Yeah. Yeah. I'm not willing to do that. Y'all ain't do all that. You just said like, you want to change. It's over. It's over? Over?
Starting point is 01:00:18 I probably would pay the luxury tax one year, but if you pay it once, it's going to roll over to the second year, and that's what he's saying. If I pay the luxury tax for you, then OG going to want me to pay the luxury tax again. Yeah, and then the next thing is talking about, you know what you know. we can't afford these tickets.
Starting point is 01:00:38 When the nosebleeds, it's $9,000 to get in. He said, this is inflation, man. Yeah, and then just for clarity purposes. NBA inflation is great. Josh Hart and Miles McBride are free agents, 28. Jalen Brunson, an OG could hit 2029, and then McKell is 2030. So it's literally, like, back to back. Yeah, but 2030, you won't need them in 2030.
Starting point is 01:01:05 Are you standing on that? I'm standing on that. If you think right now four years from now, you're going to be trying to keep this same Nick team together. It changes every year to two years, man. Somebody make a major move like the 76ers. You can't stay with these same players against the 76ers. Not with what they have.
Starting point is 01:01:29 You have to upgrade your team as well. And that's what he's thinking. He's thinking above the curve. I was first talking from a moral. place but in a business place that's what's going to happen right right larry right i mean as a business place it moves it moves what did he call you general general what was your title the gym i'm speaking like the gym if we have to pay a dollar 75 on every dollar right spent over that amount that's too much money to be paying for for for for for
Starting point is 01:02:06 a player that you're still going to need another player to compete. It's crazy. I hope they don't split them up, but shoot. I mean, you can do it for one year. I do it one year. We just came from the championship. We joke a lot, but coming out of the championship, give them one year. But what's the value for the Knicks now?
Starting point is 01:02:26 Does the value go up for the Knicks as a team? Definitely. So it's like, what do you? The Knicks, though, they were, further of all, the Knicks were the number one basketball, franchise financially until about three, four years ago when Golden State became the number one basketball franchises. The Cowboys, the Yankees, then it was the Knicks, then Golden State took the next spot, and Knicks became fourth.
Starting point is 01:02:48 So Knicks are top four franchise financially regardless. I don't know if they passed Golden State just now, but James Dolan been on the record several times saying he's not selling the team no matter what because his father gave it to him and he wants to give it to his kids. So even when niggas acts him, I remember he's actually. on Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson's podcast, and they asked him. Are you selling the team when they say,
Starting point is 01:03:12 just forget about it. It's not happening. I'm passing it down to my kids like it got passed down to me. I'm never selling the team as long as I'm alive. Amen, we will see what happens to the next. Now that you got your GM cap on and the athlete perspective, we'll see what they decide to do. But like Cam said, a lot more basketball to be discussed
Starting point is 01:03:32 throughout the season, a lot of good stuff. so we will see how it all unfold. Let me ask y'all another thing. Yeah. And this is a question to you. And y'all can chime in if you want. What do you think about Antonio Brown saying, Oprah Winfrey owe him some ass?
Starting point is 01:03:49 That's your man. Dead ass, man. He said he got an invoice for it because she owe him some buns. We was, what, what? That's your man. I'm trying to figure out what happened. Where were they at That he owes
Starting point is 01:04:06 The Oprah Winfrey owes Antonio Browns of Buzz You see that? No I'm sorry Yeah He's not even
Starting point is 01:04:17 You know how you joking He's not joking He's that serious Saying that Oh and he got the invoice How do you invoice Your AB got a chill out You know
Starting point is 01:04:30 You know when he came up there He was very intelligent. I thought he was very intelligent. But when he does shit like that, it's like, come on, man. He set him back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. A man killer was talking about that. When he was up here, he sound very intelligent.
Starting point is 01:04:46 He was very intelligent. It made sense that everything that we were discussing or people may say about him. But then when he comes back with the invoice. But see, that's why I want to act. That's what I asked you that. It may be logic. that we don't know about. A.B.
Starting point is 01:05:07 Call up to the show and clear this matter up. I would love to hear from you, AB, on this matter because his invoice is ready. And like I said, if you didn't see the video, the nigger not smiling and none. He's like, yo, nah, dead ass, she owe me buns. At the invoice shredding and all that, like, you don't do that to me.
Starting point is 01:05:27 And I'm like, me ask Mace about it. Did he want the buns, is the question. They're like you wanted them. She's at a party and he's seen her. Oh, he's at a party and seen her? Okay, I didn't know that part. C.T. might be really, really, really. I mean, we know it's real, but.
Starting point is 01:05:41 So when he's at the party and seen her, did they have interaction? That's what he's saying. He's saying he went up to the party with Oprah and she didn't want to give him buns. He said he looked at her and told her. I don't know, man. Why are you out of respectfully?
Starting point is 01:05:55 I'm like, I couldn't even see those two in the same room. Hey, B, says, Everybody else didn't show up with their power couple. Watch how about that. Yeah. That's one of them since when they could be like, niggas be scared. I'm going to say what I got to say.
Starting point is 01:06:13 Diggas be scared. You know what? As women get older, she might like a guy like that. We only know about one person, well, at least I'm going to say, I only know about one nigger that she ever had that publicly. What's a nigga name? Stedman. Stetman.
Starting point is 01:06:31 That's all I know about. It's 1986. Who the fuck? Who else born Oprah besides Stead? That niggas's bugging, bro. That nigga's bugging. He probably was at the party. He probably was some trumes or something.
Starting point is 01:06:43 It was like, come here, Oprah. You know what I'm saying? Man, women like, one thing I know about women, women like who they like, man. Yeah, listen, a lot of years, and I'm not getting indulging, get deep in this conversation, neither.
Starting point is 01:06:55 But a lot of years, people were sitting there saying, that nigger Bobby got Whitney out here wild. When Whitney had Bobby out there wild. You know what I'm saying? You don't know what a woman like, especially when she's rich and she can make her own decision of who she want to be with. Who knows?
Starting point is 01:07:12 A.B. might be her flavor. And speaking up, does last one out? So you're saying the invoice is valid. I'm saying I gotta speak to them. Find out. Call up A.B., we need to know about this invoice. Yeah, because we need answers. Last thing I'll add, because I didn't know this,
Starting point is 01:07:27 Oprah and her long-term partner, They actually never had a traditional marriage. They thought that a legal wedding would have ended their relationship. So she'd been with Stedman since 86. First of all, they broke up and Stedman moved on the property. Stedman said, man, that's enough length. I'm just coming through it. Stetman moved to the back of the property and all that, man.
Starting point is 01:07:46 Yeah, and I know Oprah to be a very, very astute woman and very, very wise, very wise businesswoman. But you can never tell what a woman likes. And that's another discussion for another day. I would like to see what the comments say. So we will see. But y'all, let us know what y'all think in the comments down below. Do you ever know what a woman likes?
Starting point is 01:08:09 How do you feel about AB Noggin' buns? There was a lot of things here. I want to know you guys' thoughts. But that's all the time that we have for today. Thank y'all for watching. And as always, it is what it is.
