Welcome back to Who It Is What It is.
I'm Treasure Wilson, aka Stap Baby, along with your host, Mace and Cam.
And y'all, today we are joined with our analyst, Brandon Marshall.
Killer, what's good? Brandon, what's up, man?
Yo, yo, I'm in your city. Where y'all at, man?
I'm hearing, I'm in, I'm on Wall Street right now. Where are y'all at?
Let me tell you something, Brandon.
I hope you don't come on the show today with the anomaly speech.
That's all, that's all I'm asking.
that you don't come on the show with the anomaly speech.
If you leave the anomalies out,
I think we should have a great show.
Yeah, what you're doing in the financial district,
what you're doing in the financial district, though?
Well, well, first is, Mace, if it's anomaly, it's anomaly.
Cam, I'm actually here, man, it's time to come back to the city,
so I'm looking for an apartment down here.
So I've been here for two weeks.
Okay.
I mean, what's got going on?
Something that's in the works or something that we need to know about
or you just want to be in the world for me.
Yeah, a lot of motion.
A lot of motion in New York.
I got to get out of South Florida, man.
South Florida is just retirement.
So I've been there for a minute.
Now, you know, I had the privilege to play for the Giants and the Jets.
And so the city's always been good to me.
Some opportunity here.
You know, I'm always working on things behind the scenes.
So I feel good to get back to New York.
And it'll be part-time.
So half the money I'll be in New York, half the money I'll be down in South Florida with my kids.
Yes, that wants to go to New York, too.
I love New York.
She's been to New York this first time in summer and she loves it.
Let me tell you something.
You see that shit Brandon Marshall in right now?
He probably is the size of my sneaker box, and it's probably $4,000 of night.
$4,000 of night.
And when he goes outside, it's going to be rats in front of it.
I'm telling you that right now.
You see rats when you went there?
That was the first time I seen a ride.
That was scary.
They're fat.
Like, I don't know.
I never seen no rights.
Can, what you say, 4,000 square feet is what you said?
No.
I said $4,000 for the size of a sneaker box.
That's what I said.
Oh, yeah, yeah, that's better.
Yeah, that's better.
But it is a lot going on.
Yeah, say that again?
I was at one main street in Dumbo when I was playing for the Jets.
And it was probably less than a thousand.
square feet and was costing me $16,000 a month.
And when I was in Tribeca, it was the same price and something smaller.
But, you know, you're paying for the city.
Yep, absolutely.
That's crazy.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
Oh, yeah.
Shout out New York.
But y'all, we got a crazy game to talk about this Monday night football game.
So the bills beat the Rams, 37 to 34, which came down to the final seconds.
There was a huge highlight where the bills blocked the Rams game winning field goal in
overtime.
Cam, we're going to go with you first.
So what do we think of this ending
and then how are we feeling about the bills this season?
Listen, man.
This game, so you watch the first three-quarters,
you're like, okay, it's a decent game.
When you look at this game, first of all,
before we even talk about the game,
you look at this game, say, wait a minute,
the motherfucking John Sh Island playing against Matthew Stafford.
That doesn't happen that often.
Oh, hell, no.
We got to lock in and watch the Rams play against the bills.
When the fuck we're going to see this again?
So I was real excited to see the game.
And through three quarters, I'm like, okay, this game is cool.
Fourth quarter fireworks, man.
It turned in the straight fireworks in the fourth quarter.
We seen Buffalo look like they're going to lock the game up at the end of the fourth quarter.
They're up seven points.
And then Matthew Stafford looked like the MVP that he was.
He marched the, pardon me, he marched the Los Angeles Rams up the field.
And a minute and 35 seconds with a minute and 54 seconds,
and got a touchdown.
I think it was eight plays a minute and 35 seconds
and got them a touchdown.
And I'm like, yo, this is what we've been waiting for
for the first three quarters.
And then you sit there and say,
what's going to happen next?
Now, look, I've been talking about this all week
in the last two weeks.
Special teams, man.
Now, we're going into overtime,
but before we go into overtime,
we have the field goal kick amiss two field goals.
I was almost me and my nigga Nick
when we watch a night.
the shit. At the end of the game, we're like, maybe they should just go for two and get this
shit over. We're talking about the Los Angeles Rams, because like I said, they scored the
touchdown. They tied it out with the extra point, but they could have won if they went for
the two-point conversion. But they kicked the extra point. Overtime. Listen, the bills go down
the field. They're in the red zone. What happens? Crooks fumbles. Matthew Stafford gets the
ball back. He goes up to field.
They in field go rings.
The kicker gets his, the kicker, it doesn't get blocked,
it gets nipped by somebody's finger,
and he misses the field goal.
And then Josh Allen gets the ball back with about three minutes
or two minutes left and he goes up the field
and then the bills ultimately win the game.
This was a great way to end week five.
I know a lot of us talked about how that San Francisco
and Seahawks game was.
this was a great waiter and week five.
I'll say this, man.
I don't know, Mace, you know,
my team is the Bengals.
And, you know, it's great that we got branded up here
for what I'm about to say in a minute.
Before I asked that, because I'll toss it to you
and talk to Brenda because I want to pause.
I want to know you guys answer.
But Matthew Stafford, 54 passes, 40 for 54,
383 yards, three touchdowns,
no interceptions, Josh Allen,
relatively subpar, 12 and.
19, 210 yards, one touchdown, one interception.
But this was a game for the age.
It was really, really good.
I want to ask you guys, right?
Real quick, and I know you guys want to give y'all take on the game.
And of course, the Bengals is my team, and it's great to Brandt is here today because he's a receiver.
That pooky, nigger, man.
Joe, that, I call him a pokey brand.
I don't know if you know.
Never.
I'm calling Pookie, man.
That nigger, that nigger come out of rehab.
What he used in rehab?
Fuck, he had a sex problem.
What's the fuck he was that drunk from?
He said alcohol.
Alcohol, like, whatever was it, his hip alcohol?
He was a wild boy.
Yeah, what was it?
Alcohol.
Alcohol, a hip problem, sexaholic.
Whatever the fuck he had going on.
For him to come back these last couple games
and doing the shit he's doing,
I don't know, Jamar chased my man.
You know Jamar Chase my man.
That's my nigger.
That's my nigger.
That we're talking about.
about Justin Jefferson,
you know, the LSU connection.
Yo, that my niggas, my God,
this Pookie niggas is hard to argue, man.
Pugie, yo.
You know, look, the 17 receptions,
Brandon, of course, he's going to say
he's done that a couple times.
He's made it, obviously,
he's made it clear to us.
Yo, I did, did what Pookie's doing.
17 receptions, 138 yards, a touchdown,
and you know the ball's going to him,
And you can't do nothing about it.
Then when you thought to him three, four times in a row,
you got DeVonte Adams,
yo, listen, man, you got to get better on defense, man.
I know Aaron Donald's, I'm saying we are for your Rams fit.
Aaron Donald's back, we know Matt Garrett isn't there.
But listen, you cannot fuck up a game like that for Matthew Stafford.
You got to win them games, man.
And not only that with the Rams who I picked to win the Super Bowl this year,
you'd like to see what's going on in your division.
The division is crazy
You do listen
Hey
Go ahead
Go ahead
No no finish your point
I'm sorry
I was just ending it real quick
Because I'm being long-winded about it
But the division is crazy
You got fucking San Fran Favre
Favinoe you got the Seahawks right there
Y'all losing super games
that you should be winning
And like I said
You know
We got a lot of football left to play
I was saying early this week
But you want to win these chip games
That you could win
It's a couple games y'all
should have won that y'all didn't win.
But it was sensational to watch,
and I think the Rams are a really, very exciting team.
But you got to give it up to the Buffalo Bills on the victory.
Yeah, 100% Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen played well.
May, sorry about that, jumped in there.
But I got to be honest with y'all.
I couldn't really watch the game the right way.
And the reason why is because as soon as I turned on the game from the start,
Pooka, Pookie, whatever you want to call them,
He had five catches in the first two minutes.
And all I could think about was my record going down tonight.
I'm being honest with you.
And I was trying to connect with those emotions.
But I'm like, yo, this dude really about to break my record.
Like, think about it.
He ended with 17 catches.
17 catches.
It's unbelievable.
And so, Cam, like, you know, you observing that and seeing that, it's like, it's unstoppable.
But if I'm being honest, this is where it makes I might need you a little bit
because he's a guy that is hard for me to evaluate.
When you think about Puka, now you say, okay, Puka's game is like who?
It's interesting that you brought up Jamar Chase because I thought about that, you know, big body pause and, you know, how they move with the ball in their hands.
But it's not like he's the best route runner.
He has phenomenal hands.
It's not like he's Calvin Johnson signs.
So it's like, what is it about this guy?
And honestly, I cannot tell you.
You know, when the game was going on, I was like, yo, I need to call it.
and asked like, yo, what's so special about them?
And the reason why this was big for me,
because they targeted Puka 10 times in the row
before they even looked at Devante Adams.
And I thought that was disrespectful
because when Puka was down,
all they was doing was throwing it to Devonte Adams.
Devonty Adams had some of the biggest game of his career.
So if I was Devonte Adams, I would feel some type of way.
But it's interesting and special to see
how they're getting their guys in position.
And the last thing I would say here, Mace, is this reminded me.
No, I'm not going to say reminded.
And people go and say that I'm crazy.
But this felt like a preview of the Super Bowl.
And now some would say, well, Brandon, you sound crazy because they're two and three.
And then you got the 49ers in their division.
Everything Cam said, like they in a tough division at the Seattle Seahawks.
But remember how they started last year.
Staffer was banged up.
some back issues, couldn't really throw some nerve issues, I think.
And then all of a sudden, you know, right around November, cream season, all of a sudden,
you see them start to ascend.
Now, they could easily be sitting here, you know, with one loss because they decided to go to Brazil
the night before the game, on the day before the game, which was idiotic.
So that was a loss.
And then they, this game right here, Cam just walk you through the whole four quarters and
you don't know.
Hold on.
Hold on, I don't mean the line stuff.
Don't give them Brazil.
They went to Australia.
Fucking 23 hours.
Yeah, 23 hours.
Yeah, yeah, Brazil is closer.
Yeah, way closer.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, you know, Mace, when I was watching this,
it gave me a feeling of watching the preview in the Super Bowl.
And I know that could be far-affection, a little out there.
Yeah, yeah.
You said they was going to say that you're crazy
and that they're probably going to say you're crazy.
According to the logo,
according to the logo of the Super Bowl,
you haven't heard about it, Brandon?
The logo normally tell you
who's going to be in the Super Bowl.
You got to put red and yellow in there, man.
The Mighty Chiefs.
San Francisco,
somebody with red and yellow,
got to be in there because it's in the logo.
I don't want to spoil that for the fans.
And the one thing I want to say, because you and Cam touched on so much of this game,
this is what I mean when I'm talking about from a GM standpoint,
how you look at a team and you look at the makeup of this team,
and you can see how the Buffalo Bills lost in every category.
They lost in passing yards, in receiving yards, in tackles.
What else?
and first downs, they had third downs, the red zone.
They did everything less than the other team, and they still won.
This is what I mean about the psyche and putting teams together that win.
This is what I want you to pay attention, Brandon.
We're going to have a great season.
You said it started in November, so I'm just giving you a preview of where we're going.
Look forward to learning a lot with the experts.
Let me actually
No, no, no, no, no, you actually
You preaching.
You preaching, Mace, because every
Wednesday when we come into the facility,
we sit down and we go through the game plan
and we go through the keys to victory
and we look at, you know, percentages,
here's what his team is, third down,
first down, red zone, etc., etc.
And there's benchmarks that we have to hit.
And one of the things that we all talk about is,
is like most games, NFL games,
is decided by less than six points.
And so what do we want to do?
Really good teams.
What we know is if we can just be close in the fourth quarter,
then we got a chance.
And so a team like Josh Allen,
that's why they so special.
And you see Josh Allen the battles with Patrick Mahomes,
Lamar Jackson, where, you know,
it's 30, 40 points that both teams are putting up.
And then the one to get this, they got this,
are the ones that usually pull it out.
And so you don't want to go into,
deep water with Josh Allen.
This is what Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills love doing.
I just hate that the Buffalo Bills, you know, they always got to go here.
I would love to see them, you know, just blowouts on people and just get it done that way.
But all their games, man, the prime time games seem to be just electric and amazing games.
I just wanted to ask the experts saying, usually you say the quarterback, the 225 first wins.
The quarterback that get the 250.
Yeah.
250.
This,
this,
this,
this,
this,
this,
this,
this,
this,
this is an anomaly.
Yeah,
it's an anomaly.
Yeah, it's an anomaly.
It's an anomaly.
Here we go.
Shoo.
Shoo.
Shoo.
It's an anomaly.
Two things can be right at the same time.
Stat back in you.
See,
count how many times y'all hear that word?
We'll see how that goes.
Now on to the Chargers.
So the Chargers, they lost to the Broncos 23 to 17.
Y'all, the Chargers are literally 0 and 5.
And we know Justin Herbert has a contract that runs through the 2029 season.
But Brandon, what do you think happens with the Chargers and Justin Herbert?
And then overall thoughts on this game.
Yeah, at this point, you got to make a change that when you look at the investment you made in this quarterback and you get in this type of
production there's a huge problem now in retrospect when you go to the offseason coach mcdaniels
was fired in front of miami dolphins and then everybody thought that he would he could potentially
get a head coaching gig so when he landed up at the chargers right people were excited there's like
oh this is going to be dangerous but in retrospect you look at it's like yo that was the biggest
mistake that jim hardball could make coach hardball could make excuse me and so i think you got to make a move
there you got it like right now this week you have to do it oh and five that's not good for anybody
and so you got two options coach harball take over the play calling or you have his quarterback coach
who's been with them five out of seven years coach day and i think that's probably the better option
he knows him the best he knows what he likes he knows what he doesn't like but i'm gonna say this
as well a couple years ago when we had i am athlete rolling uh we did this thing called on the go and we
went to pretty much every other team in the NFL training camp and we pulled up on the
chargers and there was a prominent player on that team and we asked them off the record we said
what's the deal with Herbert and they pretty much said he's a slow blinker uh mace you know what
a slow blinker is no no a slow blinker is when we got to tell you to the same thing over and
over and over again and that's not good for the quarterback position
The quarterback position, you got to be able to process.
You got to be able to download a lot of information, process a lot of information, and then respond to that.
And so what he said basically was he ain't got that yet.
And so that was a couple years ago.
You can always get better.
But that was big for me because I said, dang, Justin Herbert is kind of a slow blinker.
And so that might be some of the problems that you're seeing there is that you get, you know, coach coming in McDaniel with this.
high-powered offense and all these gadgets, and it's just not working for him.
But somebody got to go at this point.
Yeah, I'm in agreement with you.
You know, when you're playing in the city of Los Angeles, you can't be 05 at any sport, right?
This is a team that got a win, and they got to get wins now.
This quarterback has to go.
It's not work on it.
Find his replacement as soon as possible.
you asked me something about being a slow, what do you call it, blinker?
I'm trying not to slow blinker, but I'm trying to step on your line, but you went too far, though.
I'm trying to step on your line.
I ain't trying to get no penalties on the show.
But what you're talking about?
I said the coach, not the player.
You don't get rid of the quarterback right now.
What's you talking about?
Yeah.
See, when you're dealing with championship teams, Brandon, you change as soon as you see the
problem. While the time you get
fired, you've been fired.
You know, sometimes people don't
understand it. You've been a slow
blinker right now.
By the time
your replacement walks in
and we say, hey, QB
2, this is QB1.
You know, you were fired
back there when we got 0 and 5,
right? This is the city of
Los Angeles. Like, they were playing
at one point they were playing really good.
in this game, right?
He was putting up points, but then at the end, he ends up turning up over the ball when he
could have tied the game up.
And this kind of brings that message to a GM like, if you thought it was going to get better,
it's not when you see him fumble the ball right at the end.
It's like, no, what I was thinking is what I should do, and that's replace him.
And I just think that's where we're going with this whole Charger team.
It's been nothing but bad since the first game.
I mean, go ahead, go ahead, Cam.
I know you got some thoughts.
Go ahead before I respond to that.
Yeah, first off, I would say that, you know,
Broncos should have been in this game
because Sean Payton's back calling the plays.
He couldn't take it another motherfucking game.
You know, I had to call the plays.
I know he's probably itching, losing his damn mind,
not be able to call them plays.
And I like, listen, we can't argue with him.
see what he did for Drew Bree's career, Super Bowl champion, et cetera.
And I know to me, he's micromanaging Bo Nix.
Maybe it's early.
Maybe he doesn't see something in Bo Nix that he may have seen in Drew Brees.
But the last two seasons, even though they had a great season last year, he's using them
more as a game manager.
And I'm not mad at them.
I'm not going to act like Sean Payton don't know what he's doing.
Great coach.
But he ain't going to let him be a gunslinger.
And listen, when I watched that kid, Bo Nix in college, I went to see him.
play a couple times. I didn't get
I didn't get throw the ball. But to me,
Sean Payton's a control freak.
We see him after, you know, the back and forth
with Russell Wilson. Russell Wilson ultimately leaves.
He tried to get into that shit with Bo Nix on the sideline.
Bo Nix said, I'm not having it. Don't come in my face yelling and
all that other extra shit. If it's going to equal
out the wins, I'm not mad at. And listen, it's not going to be
hard to win when the other team doesn't
score in the fucking fourth quarter.
Get outscore.
What was?
They outscored 13 to zero in the fourth quarter.
So I'll say that about the Broncos.
Now, let me ask you something, Brandon.
You were saying, and I don't want to get this wrong,
you were saying get rid of the coach or the quarterback or both.
No, you got to start with the coach first.
The quarterback is way too talent, right?
Like I get you out of information as far as the slow blinker.
And that could be true, but I'm not in the building.
We're not in the building to understand, you know, what they're throwing at them.
But right now, you, I mean, you just can't replace a Justin Herbert like that.
Yeah, I don't know what y'all think this is.
And when I say, y'all, I mean, the people out there in the media, like, you can just, you know, replace Justin Herbert.
Like, what are we going to go next?
So you're saying, what year is this for Jim Harbaugh?
Coach Harbaugh, what is he in his third year or second year here?
So you want to fire him now.
After two seasons, you're right.
Three seasons, okay.
It's two.
No, it's third season.
You want to fire him after the third season after bringing in a new offensive coordinator
that he's trying to mix things up and win.
But you want to keep the coach for the Texans.
You pro-black.
If you pro-black, if you pro-black, just say you pro-black.
I ain't mad at it.
Yeah, I got my all-black.
Yeah.
No, say you pro-black.
You pro-black because you want to fire it.
white men, but you want to keep the black man.
Just say it.
Say it.
So, so, so, so, just say it.
You black and proud.
You black and proud.
Just say that.
Just throw your fists up if you, just say that.
Because, because, yeah, because last week you had a whole tantrum when we say, oh, y'all,
you're going to get rid of the coach.
You can't get rid of the coach.
Have you seen where the Houston been?
Look at Houston.
Where they've been?
They've ever been done nothing in decades.
Yada yada yada yada.
can't even give Jim Harbaugh three full seasons.
Post-pandemic.
And now you want them out.
If you're being racist, just say it.
I'm so glad you, I'm so glad you went back to that.
Go ahead.
Do you see what just happened with the Texans?
Did you just watch what happened?
Who did, let me ask you a question.
Let me ask you a question.
Who did they play?
I mean, does it matter?
The terrible Titans?
The terrible Titans.
So you sitting here bragging about the Houston, Texas,
being the terrible Titans?
Come on. Stop it, bro. Stop.
You're too smart for that, bro.
You're not, listen, let me tell you something.
I'm going to tell you like this real quick.
You have more football knives than I will ever have,
but don't come up here and call it stupid.
Don't do it, man.
Don't do that, man.
You're a saw my intelligence right now, man.
Don't have to solve our intelligence, man.
Don't do that, man.
Gay, man.
So first off, so first of,
So first off, to clarify what the charges need to do is fire the offensive coordinator.
And if that doesn't go well, then at the end of this year, if they continue to implode,
they're going to have a conversation about Coach Hardball.
A lot of times when you bring back these old head coaches, it don't always pan out.
Sometimes the game just get away from you.
And I don't know what the situation is because I'm not that close to it.
But something has to happen this week.
I wouldn't be surprised about time we get off this show, there's an announcement that McDaniel,
is demoted or the McDaniels is fired and Coach Day is taken over or hardball is taken over.
So you don't fire hardball yet.
Okay.
Now when you think about down in Texas in Houston, bro, Coach Payton tried to elevate and he tried to put his guy in position and he had to take the call.
He had to take it back.
And look what happened.
They got back on track.
That's exactly what just happened in Houston.
In Houston, the head coach, he takes back over to play calling as a defensive.
coordinator and look they back on track and then also look what they're doing they saying you know what
same thing i told y'all last week c j scrowd bro like if you don't have no help i'm sorry but you can't go
and say mace fire this quarterback they don't just grow in trees like that and so what they do
they go out there and they'll get uh mazorati marvin marvin harrison and that's important and
interesting because they played together at Ohio State.
And when he was at Ohio State, everybody was saying he was a once-in-a-lifetime prospect.
This kid is this and he's that.
And we haven't seen it since he's been in Arizona.
So I told you all, be patient.
Hold on.
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
And look what they just did this week.
And let's see how Marvin Harrison integrate into the healing team.
We're going to see.
I guarantee this team.
I guarantee this team is right where they need to be come December.
I'm trying my best not to
line stuff but could you stop with the Titans
could you stop bro
please please stop talking about
you see what they went out and did
could you just please stop man
when is the last
when is the last time the Titans won
what year
what year has they won a game right now
yeah no I'm not being
facetious when I ask
I'm of course I'm exaggerating they won a game
last year but they're like
one in 97 like come
more men,
such a mind.
You see what they did last week.
They write where they need to be.
Now, I will say this.
I will agree with you with saying that they get in Marvin Harrison
and they did play in Ohio State together,
had over 1,000 yards combined with him being a quarterback
and him being a wide receiver.
And I do agree that it didn't pan out for him in Arizona.
So I'm real interested to see how this works out,
being that they already have some chemistry.
But you're doing everything but just admit
that you're racist towards white people.
Just skipping around the whole thing.
Didn't answer the question.
Went to the Texans.
Talked about the Titans.
Just get back to the fact that you don't want to say.
Everything but that.
Now let me get my quick take because I know I took some time on.
Look, I was for the last three years and everybody knows on this show, I'm a big Justin
Herbert advocate.
Big advocate of him.
I just don't know what's going.
on and it hasn't panned out.
But, you know, Arabia gets on me all
in the time about this. I got to get ready
to get off the bus. Because I think
he's a great talent. I don't know what's
going on. You can blame it on the
offensive coordinator, Brandon. You could blame
it on, not just you, blaming on the coaching.
After a while, you've got to
produce. And whether it's injury
or otherwise, it just has
not panned out. I had them in the top five
quarterback two seasons ago, or at least
top seven, and it
just hasn't panned out. He
I'll give him to, just like he's giving the Texans to December.
Justin Herbert, I got to give you to December before I got to go.
I got to go in December.
I got, I'm going to see what happens.
You know, football doesn't really start to November.
I'm going to give you to after Thanksgiving.
Then I got to go, man.
With, you know, respectfully.
Yeah, hopefully Justin Herbert can figure it out.
We touched on a lot of topics here.
So I have kind of like multi-questions because I know you guys also brought up Marvin
Harrison now going to the Texans being read.
United with C.J. Stroud. Mace want to get your opinions on that as well. But Brandon, especially
because you played in the league, what is it kind of like getting traded? I want to start with
there before we go into Marvin Harrison's trade and get into how we think that will affect the Texans.
Yeah, yeah, good questions that not just trade it, but trade it to your guy. Like, I experienced
that as well. When I first got into the NFL 2006, I was drafted to the Denver Broncos.
and Jay Cutler went first round
and I went fourth round.
And we had this crazy chemistry
and this crazy bond.
Then we brought in Coach McDaniels,
who's the offense according for Patriots now
as our head coach, and things just imploded.
Jay got shipped off to Chicago.
I got shipped off to Miami.
After about two years,
we found ourselves on the phone,
pause late night,
and he's like,
yo, let's put the band back together.
And I'm thinking that he's, you know,
playing around, but he ended up getting the Chicago Bears to come trade for me. And that totally
changed my career around. When I got to Miami, I was considered one of the best wide receivers.
And then all of a sudden, after two years in Miami and a stink hole, everybody said, oh,
if Brandon's wash, Brandon ain't worth his money. Then I got back with my guy and my career got right
back on track and just took off. So, you know, a trade like this, we're talking about career,
transformative around Marvin Harrison's career.
This is a guy, and Cam just caught out some of his stats,
but he was the best wide receiver in college when he was there.
And now all of a sudden, this guy can't get a look.
He can't get a ball.
What's the problem?
What's going on?
He can definitely go out there and score 10 touchdowns and give you some real production.
So this is a big move for him in his career, Marvin Harrison, Jr.
And then Mays.
And you're talking about 10 touchdowns of season, right?
not a game, right?
Correct, yes.
Okay.
Yeah.
So basically hearing from Brandon, how he said getting traded to your guys,
seeing that Marvin Harrison is being reunited with C.J. Stroud,
how much do you think that this is going to impact this Texan team
or you feel like it doesn't move you much?
What do we think here?
I think this saves both Marvin Harris and it, and it does something for C.J. Stroud
Because you got a familiar route runner, right?
So all of the slants that he run, you know, you know where to place the ball pause for the,
for the bomb when you're going deep pause, right?
And this would be great for this.
This might be the magic that they've been missing.
I mean, there should be no more excuses after this.
That's what I would say.
If you're watching this, C.J. Strout, there's no more excuses after this.
You got your guy.
And Marvin, the same thing.
There's no more excuses.
And you're doing it in a beautiful city of Houston, Texas.
I think that plays into it as well when you get to play good in a great city.
What do you think about that, um, um, Brandon?
You, you just tough.
Like, I, like, I'm trying to find your comp in sports.
Like if you were a general manager ahead, coach, who would you be?
It's just like you expect guys to come in and, and get it done right away.
Cam says something really interesting, and I think this goes over a lot of people's head.
Football season for real, don't really start till after Thanksgiving.
You know, Julian Edelman played for the Patriots long time.
We was on Inside the NFL Showtime for a long time.
He used to always say pause.
He used to always say, cream season.
Right after Thanksgiving, we would come in and work, he always said,
Cream season, here we go.
Now this is when the season starts.
So, yes, you want to go out there and perform well right now.
You don't want to be 0 and 5.
You don't want to have your whole team injured.
But for us to, you know, go to these early predictions right now
and say, like, this team is done, this person's done.
It's way too early.
I think we've got to listen to Ken.
And when Cam say like the season started November, so what does that mean?
It might be a little bumpy for them over the next two to three weeks.
But let's see where they're at come, you know, December.
Remember, they're in a weak division as well.
And don't forget, like what happened to the history?
Like we like, like Kim, you brought up what the Titans being one in a hundred and ninety seven or whatever you threw out there.
Again, I say this again.
Where was the Texans before D'Amico Ryans took over?
Like, what's up?
I already told you this.
Don't step on my line.
Don't step on my line.
Don't step on my line.
Hold on my line.
Don't step on my line.
So think about it.
So think about it, bro.
They was averaging three wins a game, a year, excuse me.
And then all of a sudden, Demico Ryan's come in and they went 12 games.
They went 10.
They went 10.
They go to the playoffs, playoffs, playoffs.
They have one bad start to a year.
Now y'all calling for the job.
Come on, man.
Slow down.
slow down
that's fair
I guess another question
No it's not it's not fair
Go ahead go ahead
Wait wait wait
The line is open
Yeah yeah the line is open
Listen to this Brandon
If I was a gym
I'm Jerry West
If you put me in the position
To make the decision
I could put a winning team together
I don't believe you just put people together
To just compete
I believe when your brain is elite
You know the components
That it take to have a championship team
Like you know what
what your front line got to look like.
You know what your arm defensive line got to look like.
You know who you need in special teams.
If you want to be a championship team,
I think you know when you're on a team that can compete for it all.
And when you're just on a team that you're just going to get your stats this year
and you're not going anywhere.
So that's what I'm saying.
Like if you want to just play football to just play football,
then you got the right thing out there in Houston.
But if you're trying to win, you got to make strong changes.
And sometime that's not the best thing for everybody, but I'm not there for everybody.
I'm near to win.
Yeah, but Mace, you're not Jerry West, Mace.
It just came to me.
You're Michael Jordan, right?
You've accomplished things that there's, that only a few on this planet has ever been able to accomplish.
But that doesn't make you a great talent evaluating, right?
Michael Jordan owns the team in Charlotte, and it was just terrible.
And now I don't know if y'all seen it, you all hear the reports that Michael George is talking about coming back to coach potentially, it ain't going to work out, right?
Because y'all come in and every day y'all just want to make hits.
Every day he want to drop 35.
Every day it's supposed to be win.
And that's not the case.
It's not the case.
So you're calm.
It's not Jerry West.
And it's probably Michael Jordan.
No, it's not what you do.
But managing other talent probably ain't it.
No, that's not it.
It's more like Greg Popovich, right?
You know who to put on the team if you want to.
to win. It's like Mike, it's like Coach Kate. I pick the same type of people that work for my system.
I know the system I run. I know the players that are necessary for that system. And when you
got the players that's necessary for that system, you win year after year.
What you should say this though, Mason, I'm going to get, I get where he's coming from.
You better off saying Magic Johnson. Yeah. Because he's saying you played before on the dance floor
But now you want to come in
and you're not a GM
or coach
but you're a player too
that's what he's saying
it's like the label right
you as a rapper
but then you had to label
you wouldn't go on when you had the label
everybody I put out
did good and got millions
who'd you put out
who'd you put out
come on man I ain't doing this
on national TV TV
You got me signed
you didn't sign me
but you got me my deal
I introduced Cam
I introduced Nelly
that's 10 million.
I introduced Holland.
Yeah.
Introduce Harlem World.
Yeah.
That's gold.
And to be honest,
which you made me a favor
because he wasn't all the way
established yet,
but if he would have told me
to sign one on my order.
But he didn't treat me like that.
Yeah, so see?
While we're on the topic.
So then that may not make,
that mean I made great decisions.
Stamp.
Yeah, but while we on the topic,
I do want to say this,
and Nick, can you get that,
prepare that clip for me?
Now, no, hold on before we get to the next time.
I got something to say, man.
I got something to say, man.
I got something to say.
Now, hold on.
I want him to go to the clip.
He got a clip if you want.
But we're not just going.
He keep, why do you keep doing this?
Where were the Texans before he got there?
Where were the Texans before?
You have to.
Yo, bro, why do you act like DeAndre Hopkins and Deshaun Watson
did not go to the playoffs in 2018 and 2019?
Why do you keep doing that?
Like it was some, like it was the Cowboys.
Or it's the Giants.
or whoever.
They just was in the playoffs.
And they broke that team up.
They just was in the play.
Why do you keep doing that acting like it was so long ago?
Think about, think.
He's erasing years.
Think about what you're saying.
Think about what you saying, Cam.
You like stepping on your own point right now.
What you're saying is, you're saying this right now.
Both of y'all are saying we got to have it right now.
Right now.
You just gave some place until December.
If I don't see it until December, then I got to move.
No, no, no.
Right now.
You miss it.
So, so in the NFL, in the NFL, NFL,
in the NFL, four years of only one and three games a year, is that not bad?
So yeah, before that, they had some winning seasons.
But then they went four years in a row where they was at the bottom of the burials,
down there with the Cleveland Browns.
Nobody wants to be down there with the Cleveland Browns.
And then they went out and got the defensive coordinator from the San Francisco 49ers,
young, up and coming black brother.
Black Power, the Miko Ryans.
The Miko Ryans come in and they went
12 games and then they went 10, 10.
Like, what are we talking about?
First of all.
What are we talking about?
First of all, what I say in what you understand
is probably two different things at this point.
I just said that I've been giving
Justin Herbert love for four or five years
and now I'm giving them to December.
So don't act like I just said he has to December
from the beginning of this season.
Start right of him.
wrong. Four or five years.
He's praised him. I've been praising.
So what I'm saying and what you're comprehending is
a gap between that.
So I'm trying to make sure you're not going
to make sure. I stand corrected on that one.
Oh, yeah, no problem. But I'm not
saying that he needs to go now.
Mace said that and I'm not disagreeing
with Mace. I'm not taking either side.
What I'm saying is this. I'm working on
his replacement.
Yeah, no problem. I'm not, listen, I'm not mad at
you because at the end of the day
is what have you done for me lately.
I'm arguing with him
because he keeps acting like
the Houston, Texas was so far removed
from the playoffs
that has been that long.
That's my argument.
You keep talking about where was they at.
I'm not arguing about
if they should be fired or be replaced.
I'm arguing, stop saying
that they've been missing for years, bro.
They went to the playoffs six years ago, five years ago.
Four years, though,
four years in a row of losing.
That's not bad in the NFL.
That's not bad in any pro sport.
Like you just said, what have you done for me lately?
Four years is 10 years, 10, 15 years in professional sports.
But then make up your mind.
You want to give them a chance or it's a long time.
You're not, you're stepping on your own points.
I'm giving them more time.
You're stepping on your own points.
You talk about that's not a long time, then give him a minute.
Which one is it?
Give him a minute?
Or four years is too long.
Which one is it?
Oh, he got a lot of time.
D'Amico Ryan's got a lot of time in my book, right?
Now, obviously, if you lose the locker room, right, and you continue to lose,
and there's things that you can control, like, what game did we just watch?
The commanders, the commanders, those are fireball offenses when you manage the clockbed, right?
Even this game right here, the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams,
there are some clock management issues on both sides.
Those are things where ownership management makes, where you come in and you say,
we got to look at this.
But DeMiko Ryan is the reason why they off to this kind of start is because they have all their starting receivers on IR to start the year.
Their offensive line was depleted, right?
And so if that continues to happen, then we got to look at things and we'll probably make changes.
And that's also the head coach.
But at the end of the day, there's no fireable offense down in Houston.
And that goes for the head coach is good and the quarterback is good.
man, this dude just lit it up, bro.
He lit it up with still with one receiver,
Nico Collins came back,
and he's still hobbling on one leg.
Who has more?
Look what this kid did.
Who has more?
I had 17 quarterbacks.
I had 17 quarterbacks.
Ain't no way I'm getting rid of a quarterback like that.
No way.
Who has more injuries?
And I'm just asking, I don't know.
Instead, maybe you could check if Brandon doesn't know.
The 49ers or the Texans?
Great question.
It's a good question.
That's a good question.
I don't know that.
I'm searching it up.
I really do think it's the 49ers because they...
All right.
Shut up.
I don't want to hear nothing.
I'm terrified.
I'm terrified.
I'm terrified.
I don't want to hear nothing about your injuries.
I don't want to hear nothing else, Brandon.
About your injuries, man.
So I was saying that's my guess.
And so according to this is Rodo Wyatt,
the 49ers lead the league with an injury severity score of 103.
And then the Texans would be.
at 88 because the 49ers had 19 players on IR.
Yeah, hey, Brandon, which is an injury report.
Go ahead, man.
Five and old.
Next man, nothing.
How they do it?
Yeah.
And you know what you're here.
He's talking about, keep crying about these things.
But I will say, I will say, it's still a good argument.
But in Brandon's defense, the Texans would technically be second, but 49ers,
violent slide.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So we keep, nobody like about second.
place here.
We actually leave.
You know that move?
You know that move when they take the football and go like that?
Yeah, man.
Yeah, man.
I ain't nothing about your injuries no more, man.
Yeah.
You're supposed to be the expert up here, man.
Listen, 49 is 5-and-no, baby.
Injury after injury, man.
Like, pause.
They banged up.
They banged up like stats said.
I told you.
I got the stats to prove it, baby.
But 49 is coaches.
getting it done.
No, there's always an anomaly.
Shanahan.
That's why I got drafted.
Let me take a little.
Do you know what anomaly means?
Do you know what anomaly means?
It can't always be an anomaly.
It can't always be an anomaly.
Listen, listen.
It's about the system.
It's about the system.
That's what I grew up in.
When I got drafted, guess who,
guess who was my head coach was Kyle Shanahan?
I mean,
Mike Shanahan, Kyle Shanahan's daddy.
When I got, when I was going through the process, I flew down in Houston, right?
This is two months before the draft.
Had a meeting with the Texan.
That day, they took the old receiver, Eric Moles.
They had a first round pick and a third round pick.
Okay.
So when I came in a Kyle Shanahan, so cool, he brought me this office hit, bro.
After this pick today, which I don't agree with, I wanted to go young in the draft,
but we're not going to pick anybody.
So instead of wasting your time, I'm just going to bring you, and we're going to watch
film.
Okay, so we went in there, we watched film for about an hour.
I was scheduled to fly back down the floor to go home.
On my way to the airport, my agent called me and say, yo, you're now going to the Denver
Broncos.
Guess who called Denver and said, you got to take this guy.
And in fact, what he said, he said, yo, dad, if you don't take him, I'm not coming to
any family functions.
You've got to take this kid.
So I came up in that type of environment.
I had that type of relationship with them.
And this is about a system.
This ain't about all these players,
et cetera, et cetera.
When you talk about wide receivers,
let's go through the last five years.
Debo Samuels,
pretty much Kyle Shanahan's entire tenure
was like the guy.
He's not even considered a wide receiver.
So, yes, we got to put respect on Kyle Shanahan's name,
but let's not get it twisted.
That's why he's anomaly because whether you've got a guy or not,
he's going to make it work.
And then you go get Christian McCaffrey.
Christian McCaffer for the last three years has been that steady force in that offense.
So, no, you got to separate the 49ers when you're talking about everyone else.
Right now, he is the best-minded coach.
Yo, Brandon, all you really said was that is Demeco Ryan system.
That's all you said, bro.
He need a better system.
That's it.
This is plugging and play, pause.
And that's a hard.
system. And listen, I love the knowledge that you just gave.
That's, listen, that's dope, super dope backstory. I love it.
But I have to agree with Mace, all you just got to me, all you said to me was Damiqoran's
system. Just ain't as good as Cal Shanahan system.
Then you said it's anomaly. You said anomaly four times last week, and you're starting off early
in the show with Anomily. You can't use that all the time.
Do you know what the definition of Anomily is? I'm just asking you, do you know what that?
What is it?
It's separated.
It's different.
It's different.
It's different.
It's different.
It's a part.
It's a anomaly.
One of one.
Listen, I don't think that's the exact definition.
Exact definition.
Something unusual, unexpected, or different from the normal rule or standard pattern.
But it doesn't happen often.
That's a good time.
It doesn't happen often.
Exactly.
And then every time you talk about the 49th, I say,
Carl St. Hanson anomaly.
Is he not anomaly?
Is he not one of the greatest offensive-minded coaches ever?
No.
Keep bringing them up.
Every time there's a point.
Every time there's a point, you keep saying, well, what about the 49ers?
What about Kyle Shanahan?
You keep bringing them up.
It's not him that we're bringing up.
We're bringing up the system.
And you know what?
You're lying.
Yo, we're bringing up the system and you know what happened?
You know what he's doing?
You know what he's doing?
This thing is good.
He's a suspending because you know what I'm talking about.
Y'all keep bringing up the 49ers in Cal Shanston.
No, last week, Tom Brady was.
an anomaly.
Last week,
oh no,
when you play him
the Bill Stadium,
it's an anomaly.
Whenever he can't figure it out,
it's an anomaly.
Yeah,
yeah, yeah.
You know,
like every week
if he can't figure it out.
Yeah,
it's an anomaly.
I see it slow blinker.
He's slow blinking.
Yeah, man,
I don't know if you think we forget it,
man.
But last week,
Tom Brady's anomaly.
Let me tell you something,
right?
He is anomaly.
So what is D'Amico Ryan's?
Wait, killer.
So what is D'Amico Ryans?
He's not an anomaly.
He's a great coach.
He's a great coach that he wins.
D'Mico Ryan is won since he's been a head coach.
That's where he is.
So if he's not an anomaly, he's ordinary?
Ordinary and great doesn't go together.
He has the makings to be a great coach.
He does.
So is he great or he's in a great?
He has the making of it.
Which one?
Because I'm trying to...
I think he's a really good coach.
I think he's a really good coach right now.
He needs more time.
We got to see it.
It's what's been four years.
We got to see more.
We got to see more.
More winning.
And shout out to D'Amico.
I'm just trying to understand your process.
So is he...
When you say he's a really good, like good, like 75%,
77, what's your number rating from 1 to 100 when you say good?
I would put it for me, if I'm you, Mace,
If I'm in management, if I'm ownership, if I'm you, I would have him on my top board, my big board of coaches.
So that could be top five and top 10 coaches.
Brandon, I'm just talking.
He's top five, top 10 coaches.
Okay.
One to 100.
One to 100.
What's the rating?
Oh, I'm giving him an 87, 88.
Yeah, I'm giving him 8788.
It's hard.
It's hard.
The NFL, you got all these young cats coming in.
you know, it's all about the fame now.
It's not really about the game first.
And so you need that head coach that can be leader of men.
You got dudes making 30, 40, 50.
Quarterbacks making $60 million a year in the lead.
How do you come in and you tell a grown man, shut up, sit down, or no, you ain't, this ain't
what it's supposed to be.
A lot of, you think McDaniels could do that?
Some of these young coaches that they hire, you think they can walk in a locker room and tell
a grown man exactly what it is.
and it be received, that's one of the hardest things to be able to have is control of your
locker room.
D'Meico Ryan's walking in whatever v. Black, White, whatever you want to call it, that man
walk in that locker room, he's respected by everybody in that organization.
So that's first and foremost.
And then second, his ball makes sense.
Pause.
His ball makes sense.
They got sophisticated football.
And you got guys out there just playing dumb ball.
You turn on the film now, man.
There's some dumb football happening.
It ain't that smart all the time out there when you turn on the film on Sundays.
I can't belay this stuff.
I really can't.
Everybody's breakdown.
This is funny.
This is good stuff, though.
This is a good conversation.
But y'all are all in different places.
But it's good.
Okay.
Let's go to this next game.
So there is they got cooked by the Packers, 31-27.
So we know Ben Johnson is a great coach.
Brandon might have a different definition.
Now we're having this work in here.
But he's now 3 and 6 versus the teams in his division.
Also want to note for those who might not have watched the game,
the Bears did not have Caleb Williams playing.
He's still an injury.
Case Keenham had to play.
But Brandon, do you think that the Packers are a team to watch out for?
Yeah, absolutely.
Again, going back to what Cam said just a few points ago,
the season starts in November.
Let's see where they're at.
Now, they started off terrible, and this is not what we expected.
They were in that same category as the charges, right?
Like, we expected more of them early.
But they have what it takes.
That's another coach, right?
It could potentially be on the hot seat, right?
Like, if you don't get it done this year, you know, for shut up.
And so I expect this team to not only turn it around,
but to really play some really good ball moving forward.
That wasn't just, that wasn't just, that wasn't just.
just, you know, oh, we went out there and we did our job.
No, they, they really made a statement.
That was a statement win.
That was a big win for Green Bay Packers.
Now in retrospect, what I will say is in Johnson, not playing K-18em.
A couple weeks ago, you got Caleb Williams goes down.
And then we're saying, oh, here we go again.
Now the bear season's over.
They insert Kemp, primetime game.
He comes out and lights it up.
as the game of his life.
Coach made a statement right after,
and I thought it was bold,
I thought it was confidence,
but now it could potentially be cocky.
He said,
our second string quarterback is second string quarterback
for a reason.
He comes out the next game,
and he plays well, they win.
But then you go up there in Green Bay,
which is a whole other atmosphere
similar to like the Buffalo Bills.
And they got a hand it to him.
So I think that was a,
bold move by coach that's probably turning around to bite him because he should have stuck
with Case Keenum. Yeah, I got to disagree. I think it's just Joe in love was just too special.
This is what we're talking about. At one time, Jordan Love is at the 40. I think he's at either
the 30 or the 40. Instead of scrambling, he stays right in pocket and throw a touchdown for about
70 yards.
And it just looked like, yeah, that was a beautiful play.
Then he comes back and make another one for a bunch of yards.
I think they were about three and 22, third down, 22 yards to go.
He throws another bomb.
I'm like, this is the way you're supposed to play against this Bears defense because
you know they like the blitz.
You know they like the clothes shut down the different routes.
Shut it down because we're going.
We're going for the touchdown.
They could play that zone and everything they try to do.
It just seemed like Jordan Love is moving at a different speed right now.
I pray that he keep this up because I know last year he was starting to get there
and we was comparing him to what was that, Bryce, Bryce Young.
They were, was it him and someone else that was.
C.J. Strideon, Bryce Young.
Oh, yeah.
But, yeah, this Jordan Love guy, he got to keep this up because this,
I would like to see Green Bay win.
Man, listen, Caleb Williams ain't playing.
It's a rivalry game.
We already know Green Bay in Chicago, don't fuck with each other.
You should have won the game.
And to what Brandon was saying, same thing we're saying.
People are getting worried about Green Bay at the beginning of this season.
Like, oh, Green Bay isn't playing good.
Green Bay isn't playing good.
They have to win this game.
If not, they fall to the bottom of the division.
Now they're tied for second or tied for last in the division.
Jordan Love, to me, he played exceptionally well.
But he's one of them quarterbacks as well.
You know, when we talk about quarterbacks,
I'm putting them there in that CJ Strzell conversation.
And when I say that, he was ascending, you know,
replacing Aaron Rogers.
And they were like, oh, man, he's going to replace Aaron Rogers.
You know, when they drafted the nigga, I was like,
what the fuck?
The nigga Aaron Rogers, y'all ain't going to never get this nigga receiver.
But they was already prepping for Aaron Rogers to leave.
Had a couple good seasons.
And then it's nothing after the regular.
this season.
I don't remember how it ended in the playoffs,
but it ended bad.
It ended bad last year, if I'm not mistaken.
You can remind me how the,
how they season ended last year in the players Green Bay.
Whatever it was, fuck that.
You got to do this consistently
if you're Jordan Love, but I think
he has the talent. I think he has the arm.
It's up to LaFleur to put him in the right position,
but you had to win this game
to prevent from going to the bottom of the division.
I don't expect anything less from Green Bay.
Yeah.
And the Packers, it was that wild car playoff loss.
Oh, go ahead, Brandon.
Sorry, go ahead.
No, go ahead, stat.
Go ahead.
Well, I made the point to him.
It was the Packers that wild card playoff loss, but you can go ahead.
To the best.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, listen, it's going to be great football come, you know, later on in the fall.
You know, we got to keep in mind that also Michael Parsons still hasn't suited up for the Packers.
That's drastically going to check.
change everything about this football team.
There's a few positions that totally change just the DNA of your team.
You get you a defensive end.
You have a quarterback.
You have a left tackle, right?
You have a corner.
Those are just positions that totally change how the entire locker room move.
Michael Parsons is considered to be top two, top three, defense,
the end impact players on defense in the game today.
And he's recovering from that ACL.
So that's totally going to change how they play.
And how does that look?
You think about Michael Parsons being able to pin his ears back and just get after the quarterback
and go get the ball.
And what that does for the offense, when I was on the offense sitting on the side
when Elvis Dumerville and all them boys was getting sacks.
It was like, oh, man, it's a sweet.
We could do whatever we want.
It took the pressure off of the offense.
And the same thing in Chicago, right?
Like, you brought up a stat, you know, as far as Ben Johnson, I think his record overall in division is three and six.
But just last year, when I look at the last 10 wins or the last 10 games, the Packers are seven and three.
But the Bears three wins came in the last two years.
And so that's something that they get hanging their hat off of, right?
Like, I don't know what that was.
Cam said it right.
You know, this is a big time robbery.
One of the best in football.
I played in it.
I was in Chicago for three years.
It was an honor to be in that type of rivalry.
And for you to go out there and do that, that's terrible.
And on Mike Dicca date.
Mike Dicke passed away.
And I saw somebody when Dicca, when the news came out,
someone said, oh, man, take the beers by everything.
And then y'all go out there and do that.
Like, that's crazy.
That's wild.
Yeah, I meant to not to cut you off.
I meant to say yesterday, R.R.P. to Mike Dicker.
Yeah.
You know, growing up as a kid, that was probably to this day, probably my favorite, you know, even though my team was the Redskins growing up, but to watch that 85 Bears team, man, I had to refrigerator pajamas.
I had, you know, McMahon, the quarterback Walter Payton.
I was very fun year to watch football.
I think I was only about seven, eight years old, but it was super dope to watch that team.
And shout to Buddy Ryan, who coached the defensive.
of that team, pause, RP, Buddy Ryan, too,
but RP Mike Dicker as well.
Yeah, rest and peace to Mike Dicke.
You, you, you, you, and Brandon,
put some respect on Watson name.
You said everybody else but Watson.
I know you're a wide receiver.
I know you ain't hating on them.
You know, I'm just, I'm just saying,
put some respect on Watson.
Oh, he balled 100%.
They made their plays.
They made their plays.
They wanted it more than the beers wanted it.
He's a dog.
I like his game, for sure.
And, Mace, Cam, Cam, you remind me a lot of Dicca, man.
I remember after the Chicago Bears games, no, straight up.
I mean, I'm going to get out of character a little bit, but he was a nigger, man.
Dick was a nigger.
Straight up.
After the games, I would go to his restaurant in Chicago,
and they would be my family in the front,
and then me and Coach Dicca would have a little booth in the back,
and we would just kick it.
And he always had a while of cash.
And he'll always tell me, he's like,
yo, B, always get your money in cash, right?
So like all the little marketing vits, et cetera.
So I see a lot of you and Coach Dicca.
He always had that cigar in his mouth.
He was just cool, bro.
It was like mafia, like a gangster.
Coach Dicca was a gangster, man.
So rest and peace, coach.
Appreciate that.
Thank you, bro.
Yeah, 100%.
And while we're here, though,
I know we got to go to another topic,
I think this is a good segue to this clip, you know, sitting here for my third show.
No, seriously, we talk about giving people's flowers, right?
Why we got to wait for Coach Dicca.
And let me separate the two because, like, you know, I'm softening up, just preparing everybody.
I'm softened up the conversation.
But I'm like, damn, man, I want to get flowers to Mason Camp.
They're true legends.
Remember my era, you know, y'all era that when y'all was really in your prime,
y'all first prime, man, it was like, it was no one greater.
And so I just found myself these last couple of days just going back watching all y'all
videos, listening to all y'all songs. I was like, damn, Cam was him, you know?
And then I came across this clip and I was like, oh, I need to give them flowers. We've got
to respect our legends, but at the same time, we've got to make sure we give our
legends an opportunity to protect their art, right? Because there's an attack against our artists and
and are legends.
So can you explain what this means?
This one, Nick, can you play it?
I get the booster, boost it.
I get computers pew.
Y'all get shot at.
Call me, I do the shooting.
I do the recruiting.
I tutor the students.
I nurture their brain.
I'm moving to movement.
Brother Buddhists and Buddha.
That's Judas and Judah.
I got Lura to Rooder.
Just for Rood of Tudor.
Chick for Hooter to Hootah.
I put two producers.
I'm the real ball.
Nick, you can stop it right there.
You know, because last week we also talked about team.
I asked Mace, when you go into a studio, like producers, engineers, is important.
So I couldn't connect why you said you'll put two in a producer.
Can you explain yourself?
First of all, before we get to the lyric, before we get to the lyric,
I don't rap to the beat like that.
That was not my...
That was not.
Somebody took my...
Somebody took my vocals and put a beat in the beat.
and put a beat in the background for niggins think I'm right,
who there people who don't know me from rapping.
That is not the way I rap to the beat.
A.I. didn't exist then.
A.I. didn't exist then.
I'm sorry.
Bro, do you want to, the name of the real song
is called Get Em Girls.
It's on there.
That's what I'm trying to tell you.
And you're talking about it didn't exist,
and somebody could do that today
and put their beat in the background.
You got to catch up with technology, Brandon.
So I just want to let you know,
for those that's young, that's not me rapping to the beat.
I don't know why they put the beat.
to the beat. And put two on producers, that's when I was beefing with a couple of producers,
and I shot him a subliminal. So stop playing, stop trying to overcharge me.
Because I put two in producers, now pause. It may be a pause today. But I was throwing a shot
at somebody who was trying to overcharge me for a beat at the time. See, I have no problem
explaining my lyrics. I have no problem with that. Yeah, because I don't, you know, obviously I don't
come from that world.
You know, with the delis, you know, that stuff, right?
And, you know, I think that's your teammate, right?
Like, that's how I look out of your producer, your engineer.
So I just didn't understand things for the clarification.
No, no.
Engineer is somebody who engineers the session.
The producer somebody makes the beat.
Now, it could be the same, the two things can be true.
A producer can be the engineer.
But most of the time, the person who does the beat is not the engineer.
Engineer is somebody who EQs the sound and makes sure it's crispy and everything else.
and the producer is the one who actually makes the beat.
But I'm more disgusted.
I'm not mad at your question.
I'm not mad at your question.
I'm more disgusted than whoever put my vocals behind their beat.
They tried to make a beat.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm more mad at that.
Don't do that.
Yeah, I was concerned about that too.
I was like this thing, the legend.
Yeah, I was, you know, I wasn't going to say.
But we have bad games, you know what I'm saying?
We have bad sessions, too, so I ain't know.
No, that wasn't that came out.
came out, not at all.
That wasn't part of his bad session.
That was not his feet.
That's when, like, I think Mace talked about it last week when you were saying the pieces
that you need to, like, win.
And he was like, look, I can do things even without this and without that.
Yeah, you surround yourself with those pieces that take the win.
This is where we're going back to, Brandon.
So this is just a concept for living.
But I thank you for sharing us, sharing with us what you're doing.
Right.
There's more.
Take a compliment.
Thanks for sharing us, I guess.
Nah, Brandon is a good, a good analyst to be on here.
Flowers given.
I love it.
Y'all love it.
I love to see it.
Like Brandon said, the black power, we need it.
I'm just waiting for him to go live, you know.
Lock his hair up, you know.
Yeah.
Might be coming.
We'll see.
Great conversation.
Great clip, Brandon.
But y'all, that is all the time that we have for today.
You know what I really find?
You know what I really find amazing, man?
For real.
You know what I really find amazing?
Every week, every week the Cincinnati Bengals lose, we talk about the Cincinnati Bengals.
When the Cincinnati Bengals went, we are an episode, or the week is almost over,
and we haven't bought the Bengals.
It's fine, stat.
It's fine.
It's just, it's mighty mysterious.
Every week when the Cincinnati Bengals win, we talk about it.
But when we win, we don't talk about it.
That's all the time we have, ladies and gentlemen.
It is what it is.
It's all good.
Thank y'all for watching.
And as always, it is what it is.
