on Shannon Sharp's podcast, and he pretty much said that you had it coming, and he'll do it again. He also said he were on a motor wheelchair, and he said, what the hell is wrong with him? Is that why it went left? Like, I guess I'm, as the person that was in the middle, So like, what happened and, like, what are you going to do at WrestleMania?

Well, listen, first of all, he's talking about my scooter. I'm in a casino all day. The casino's big. I like to ride around all day on the scooter. If I want to ride around the scooter, that ain't got nothing to do with him. He just seen me on the scooter and assumed something was wrong. As you can see, Jay, I was up and ready, pause. That ain't got shit to do with shit.

Now you want to go and use me for a publicity tour when you got WrestleMania this weekend. I know I'm the biggest name that you had a fight with in a long time. Clippers lost to Golden State. Steph scored 27 of his 35 points in the second half. Warriors were down 13, and they still ended up winning 126, 121. Steph had a go-ahead three with 50 seconds to put it away. holy shits Steph at 38 years old Mace do we appreciate him differently now

that he's doing this on a flawed team versus the team that had Katie, Dre and Clay One way to look at this is that Steph has always been Steph and Steph is never going to stop being Steph like when you think of Steph

you think of one of those playing guards for a whole lifetime, right? So even though he doesn't have the Clay Thompson's, the Jordan Pools, this is still a dangerous player from anywhere on the court because of his shooting range and there's his shooting efficiency. So I don't think we appreciate him any less. This is the stuff I always expect. Every time you see Steph, he's the same player.

And I'm looking forward to even at a late age, what he'll be able to. to do with a healthy porzengis and you give them any kind of wing and this team is ready to win again. They could be a shocking factor to any team at any point. Do you think if Jimmy Butler comes back, before I answer the question, just want to ask you a question. Do you think if Jimmy Butler's on this team next year talking about and they keep poor zingis and I like pods too? Do you think they're better than Portland?

It's just the GM's like to look at younger players because they think if they invest their time into younger players, they'll get more out of it. But what Steph is doing, man, is amazing. But to answer to the question, Trish, and I know I've been long-wintered about it, but I just wanted to get to this point. What they did was sensational. You know, you look at the stats sheet, and we see what Steph did.

Of course, he killed 35 points. Paz had 20, Santos 20. Paz had 17, pardon me. But the role players, you got Al Hofford. Al Hoffa, you don't win that game without them three key three, The key three pointers that he made, sensational. Like, you know, they were talking about,

look at the dinosaur. Like, it's disrespectful. When you get out, when they can't do nothing else, and you older, they just come with the old. The dinosaur was out there killing Al Hartford, three for three in the fourth quarter with them threes, made sure they stayed in the game. Steph hit the magical shots.

Paz's going to get fouled at the room. But we cannot say enough about Dr. Mar Green, because what he does does not show up on the stat sheet. Him locking Kowai down in the fourth quarter, only letting him get two points on his home court and an elimination game picking his pockets. One for six and the four. Listen, Draymond Green deserves a lot of credit

because you do not win this game without Draymond Green. You don't win it without a lot of people. Of course we stay on stuff Curry. You have to Al Harfords. You have to pause. You have Santos. Draymond Green, the stuff that he does that doesn't show up on the stat sheet

should be a crime because I don't know what you put on the stat sheet for him saving the ball. You know, steals pop up on the stat sheet's rebounds, but the shit that he does is very important. So as much as we're giving stuff to credit, Draymond, Al Hartford, those three wield them to that victory. And congratulations, but Trish, what stuff is doing, I think it's magical, but we take it for granted.

You know, we take everything for granted. You know, me and M.H., we had the differences of opinion when he was like, this is a key season for LeBron the playoffs. And I'm like, God damn, bro. You know, LeBron, this is how great LeBron is, right? LeBron, you sit there and look at him, you be like, okay, LeBron ain't doing that good no more. You pass it off to, because he's not saying he ain't doing good.

He's doing what he needs to do. You're deferring to Luca. You're deferring the offer and reads. He finished the game with four. 14 points, 16 points, maybe get 20 on certain nights, 7, 8 assists. Austin Reed is gone. Without Austin Reed and without Luca, LeBron averages 28 points, 11 assists and close to seven rebounds or something crazy.

Like, they're like, now I got to go back to being Bronron. God damn. But that's how much he steps up, and that's how good he is. So it is, for people these eight, that this age, 38 years old, Kevin Durant, probably 39 soon, and LeBron's going to be 42 this year, sensational for those players. Yeah, I mean, I think you hit it on the head. Go ahead, Mace.

Yeah, that performance, even that you just gave, alluded to, that was Draymond giving a Hall of Fame defensive take, right? If you could ever go to the Hall of Fame for defense, that was definitely the highlight real for it. He was doing everything. Pause. He just, like I said, if there was a way to go to the Hall of Fame for defense, that was definitely the poster child for that. Yeah, I mean, back to Steph just to like dovetail off of what Cam was saying.

I think in general, we, like you said, not just take him for granted, but don't really contextualize him with the greats as much as at least I think he will end up being. to do these things to be able to hit multiple threes and win a game and come back, it just shows that he's never dead, that a team that he's on is always alive, no matter who's on it, right? And we talked about this, I think maybe a month ago, when it's like one player, you're down in a playoff setting, winner go home, Shay, Yokic, Steph, who are you taking? And I know his team is not nearly as good as the Nuggets

and not nearly at all as good as OKC. But like, I have to choose one player, the same team around them. I'm choosing Steph. Like, he's got to be a top, he's a top 10 player of all time right now, right? You know, when you're the greatest shooter ever, yes. You know, you got to say yes.

You know, you know, it's hard because it's right, Trish. And I used to be like this when I was, younger and they'd be like, man, that nigger, Walt Frazier and them boys, and I'd be like, yo, go ahead, man. Yo, good ass, all right with the Bill Russell, the Wilts Chamele and that, because I didn't get to see them play. So now when we're older and kids and kids, not just kids, adults are older, and we say Michael Jordan,

we say Isaiah Thomas, so we say Vanita Michael Ewan, we save Brian Scott, we say Matt John. They be like, y'all got to let it go. You go, when y'all going to let it go, man? You know what I'm saying? And it's like, damn, but I've seen these niggas. You know what I'm saying? But I actually seen these niggas.

So when you don't, sometime when you don't see it, you don't respect it. And then you don't really get the aura or the feeling from YouTube. You can sit there and watch YouTube, but, you know, you go outside and be on the corner and talk about it. You know, it wasn't all the technology we got nailed. You have to used to go outside. So you go outside

White boy and all. It's in the clutch. Larry Bird is going to get it done. Kevin Durant is great, but I'm not sure if he gets it done in the clutch. If you're on a clutch team, no matter what it takes to win, if it's a steel, if it's a loose ball. I don't think Kevin Durant gets on the floor to get that loose ball, but I think Larry Bird does. So I want to give context to what I'm saying. Kevin Durant, hell of a scorer, phenomenal scorer. But if it balls down to something without the scoring, Larry Bird will still get it done.

He'll get the swipe. He'll get the, you know, to knock off the leg, to jump out of bounds and call timeout. whatever it takes the win, that's how I see Larry Bird. He'll do it. Yeah, Kevin, and I got them right to even, but what you just said is correct. Listen, and I don't want to take away clutch. What I'll say is this. Those two championships,

even though we knew they would win, talking about Golden State, he walked LeBron down, talking about Kevin Durant. Yeah. And walked him down face to face and hit threes in his face for the, and shout to LeBron, too. You know, they both good friend.

But hit the three in LeBron's face. for game four, two times in a row. With LeBron on defense, walked them right down. So I won't say you didn't do it in the clutch. But the reason which you just said, Mace, you know, I seen Kevin McHale go out and get Boston's franchise, you know, at the time. The franchise scoring points, leading most points in franchise history for the Boston Celtics, what I believe is 52 or 54 points, one or the other, on a Monday.

And they interviewed him, Larry was happy. Larry said, yeah, we got a game Thursday. I'm going to break that record. And he does it on Thursday and goes out and gets 56. Who does that? You know what I'm saying? Like, no, oh, he said the record, that's my nigger. But I know if he gets, let me go get 56.

Right, exactly. So I've seen the argument all week, but, you know, the younger people are just telling me this older, y'all gotta let it go, man. You can't keep doing this with the Larry Burst because they, you know, both small forwards. They got LeBron there. Then they're trying to figure out who's second and third,

you know, Scotty Pippen. There's been an argument with small forwards. Mace, let me ask you this before true. We get back to Trish real quick because we got to, I want her picking back. That's crazy. Going back to Golden Estate real quick and also to Damien Lillard.

But let me get to, who do you got top five small forwards? I was just thinking about that. In order. Give me top three. Give me your top three in order. But I think I know three, that's why I wanted to go five. I got LeBron. I got LeBron number one.

I got, I got Scottie and Bird tied that to. I mean, whoever that is, two or three. And then I got, I got, um, Kevin Durant. And I got James Worthy. Okay.

And my whole, my whole thing about telling your kids is work hard, chase your dream, keep the outside out there. Because every one going to compare you to what I did. Right. You don't have to be me. I'm not going to play basketball. This is your dream. I'm going to support whatever dream you have.
