I'm not doing this today. I'm serious. I'll leave y'all if y'all gonna be playing around.
I'll leave.
I'm gonna be playing around. I'm just, I'll leave.
Well, let's just get into a couple questions first.
Cam, I like the pink as fire.
Okay, the red, I see it.
But let's get into the Celtics.
The Celtics beat the Cavs 109 to 102
to lead the series three to one.
Do y'all think it's over for the Cavs
and have you enjoyed this series so far?
Cam first.
Yo, Stat.
I'm going to leave, y'all. For real.
If y'all going to be playing games, I'm
serious, man. I'll be. I'll be.
Yo, Killer, what are y'all doing, bro?
Okay, so we were talking about the Celtics.
Celtics beat the Cavs 109-102 to lead the series 3-1.
So just you guys' general thoughts about the game,
and do you guys feel like it's over for the Cavs?
I know I asked Cam first, but let's start with Mace first.
Yeah, y'all got to be serious, man, for real.
I be respecting niggas time, bro.
Niggas ain't going to be respecting niggas time, bro.
So you don't got a stunt double?
Nah, I don't got no stunt double, yo.
I'm being dead serious.
I just wasn't trying to disrespect your time, so I sent somebody here who usually fills
in for me when I'm doing dead serious. I just wasn't trying to disrespect your time. So I sent somebody here who usually fills in for me
when I'm doing other stuff.
I would never disrespect your time
cause you know, you my big brother.
I thought I was doing the right thing.
I'm sorry.
Sorry about that, bro.
It won't happen again.
I'm sorry.
I thought I was doing the right thing.
Would you sense that?
Okay.
The Celtics, they won again, three to one.
Do you guys think it's over for the Cavs?
And then how do you guys feel about that game in general?
And how are y'all enjoying the Celtics Cavs series?
Mace first.
Go to camp, sir.
Yeah.
I don't want bad energy.
All I can do is apologize.
I ran here.
I'm sweating and shit.
Pause.
Pause the game.
I'm discombobulated.
Excuse me, Mace.
Excuse me to America and beyond.
Sorry about that.
Pause the Mace.
Pardon me. as far as the mace pardon me i'm so far as the calves and the celtic series i didn't even pay
attention that well tonight i don't i got to get my stuff out my computer and everything else to
read you the stats but i noticed donovan mitchell wasn't playing and i don't know exactly why he
wasn't playing um i've been traveling most of last night just getting here this morning. But that's
troubling to me because throughout the playoffs
all these superstars are
missing. Kawhi
Leonard's hurt.
Sorry, sorry America.
Kawhi Leonard's hurt. Jalen Brunson
is hobbled.
The big tall nigga poor Zingas
is out for Boston.
Every time the NBA builds these superstars up,
they let us down in the postseason.
And if you think that the Cavs are going to win against Boston
without Donovan Mitchell, that's problematic.
They can't win with Donovan Mitchell.
They won one game with him.
With him not playing,
no, they're not going to win. I know it was a tightly contested game, but it's not going to
happen. And as far as them winning the series, this series is over with. They'll be waiting on
who wins Indiana and New York, and we'll see what happens from there. But as far as this series,
I was interested the first two games then when i seen donovan
mitchell wasn't playing i'm like what are we doing what are we doing here um so i think we need to
figure out how we could keep the superstars uh aligned so it could be tightly contested games
in the playoffs i'm not paying attention to the series i'm paying attention to it more than i was
paying attention to orlando and cle, but let's be realistic.
The Cleveland Cavaliers, as much as I love Ohio and beyond,
the whole state, you're not going to beat the Boston Celtics
without Donovan Mitchell.
Now, I know they only won by five, six, seven points, whatever it was,
but that's not realistic.
Yeah, this game, I didn't think that, I mean, nobody thought the Cavs was going to beat
the Celtics in a series.
But when you look at this series, number one, I think LeBron being there was really interesting.
You know, him and Rich Paul, shout out to LeBron and Rich Paul.
And I hate that they came on a game that they lost.
I wish it would have been a game they won.
But I want to talk a little bit about that too.
Your boy showed up.
Your boy Tatum showed up.
He finally looked like, this is the Tatum I'm looking for.
Nine for nine from the free throw.
He had 33 points, 11 reb rebounds and five assists and two steals
this is the game even um holiday showed up so all of the people that there's been an apb out for
you know in in title town because how you show up different places is different than how you show up
on title town this is how we want to see you show up on Titletown.
And even they had the guy Pritchard.
I think he's going to be a key player if they're going to win a championship.
You're going to need somebody coming off the bench and getting that 10 to 15 points.
And I'm glad to see that they're taking Titletown serious.
Now, with Garland having 30, they're not going to win with garland getting 30 when
your point guard is getting 30 and 40 it becomes hard for everybody else to get into the florida
game i mean that's that should be common sense in basketball but it doesn't seem like people get
that i have two things to say about what you say yeah so. So Tatum could be Batman and they win.
Two things could be right at the same time.
I guess that's what we're.
Yeah, two things could be right.
Okay.
At the same time.
I was just wondering,
cause you said if Tatum is Batman, they don't win.
So I was just bringing that back to you.
Yeah, without the Joker showing up, you know?
Okay.
I knew it was something.
I just was wondering what it would be.
Donovan Mitchell wasn't playing.
Okay, say no more.
Yeah, that don't work on a real team.
It's not a real team without Donovan Mitchell.
What do you think, Stat?
You all the way in Florida.
I mean, to say that it's not a real team without Donovan Mitchell does not sound right
to say. But I mean, when it comes down to players that we were looking for, obviously he is a player
that we were looking for to perform and to be present. Granted, I'm pretty sure he had an injury
so he couldn't make it, but injuries happen. We see Joel Embiid playing through an injury.
We see that that's always not the best outcome.
I wouldn't necessarily say that they're not a real team,
but I was gonna ask you guys,
so I know you guys were talking about the Cavs.
Hold on to that real quick,
because I have one more point
before you get to the next thing.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
That was A, about Batman,
and so I figured out that the Joker wasn't there.
So that's what happened with that.
And secondly, you said point guards leading the team and scoring 30 is not going to work.
When I said Jalen Brunson gets 40 and they don't win,
and then they were winning, I don't understand how that works for the Knicks,
but not any other team, what you're saying.
30 and 40 is different.
Okay, good.
I knew it. I knew it I knew it
You said it's common sense
Yeah 30 and 40
I mean if you're gonna take all the shots
You gotta get 40
To make us win
Alright no problem we can move on
Yeah like growing up a lot of niggas had 30
And still lost.
Word, man.
I know this is never, never up your alley,
and I don't mean any disrespect what I'm about to say
because I know you're a grown man,
but your ballerina spin is crazy.
The spin is, this joint, no pause.
Your spin is wild, bro.
Yo, PT, anybody listening to me know that.
Growing up in the hood.
Killer, there's been times you had 30 and you lost, right?
There's been times I had 30 and I won, too.
Yeah.
But you never had 40 and lost.
True.
Maybe Animal League.
Animal League don't count.
That's my point because when you get to 40,
you're actually totally dominating the other
team gotcha all right that was great answers i just was wondering i knew it i knew it though
that boy quick right there it's quick my best that i just was going to his feedback on those two
things yeah all good i was gonna ask hypothetically, like when it comes down to the series,
who would you guys have rather seen the magic versus the Celtics?
Or you guys think that the Cavs versus Celtics series is good or you just kind of feel like you're past it?
I think the magic would have gave them a harder series pause for real,
because they match up in all of the areas that that you're you're thinking
about probably not in the two guard but everywhere else they're they're they're like equivalent in a
lot of ways i'm not mad at cleveland playing the um boston celtics either or i think what the NBA is lacking, pardon me, Adam Silver is lacking picking
up on new superstars and trying to make, and trying to not say pacify, feed us to the aging
superstars that may not be, that may be on their way out.
Like we talked about this leading into the playoffs.
Is it going to be a change in the guard?
Is Steph Curry going to be there?
Is Kevin Durant going to be there? Is LeBron Curry going to be there? Is Kevin Durant going to be there?
Is LeBron James going to be there?
And none of the players are there.
And to be honest with you, sitting here at this desk with Mace,
I've heard more about Banchero all season than I've seen on TV
than I heard the NBA talking about and the analysts talking about,
so on and so forth.
So that's up to the NBA to figure out,
okay, these teams are on the rise. We need to get them more televised games so that the general
public, and even though I'm more than a general public, I'm supposed to be keeping up with
everything. We need to make sure that the general public knows who Orlando is, knows that they
wasn't in the play on. They've been in third, fourth, fifth, sixth place all season.
Know that Cleveland's been sticking around,
staying outside the play-on all season long.
And it seems like they're slacking,
trying to hold on to the aging superstars
instead of showing the general public the new superstars that are up and coming.
So I know that really wasn't your question,
but it's towards your question.
We should have seen where we've been more comfortable
with Orlando playing.
Maybe if they had more national televised games,
people were like, nah, them niggas is high.
Nah, them niggas is good.
You know what I'm saying?
And like I said, Mace talked about Ben Cheryl
more than I heard any other analyst talk about him.
No matter if it's a podcast, it doesn't matter if it's ESPN,
it doesn't matter if it's FS1.
That's how I got familiar with him and learned that he was on the rise
of being an all-star.
But that's up to the NBA.
As far as who should be playing him, either or I wouldn't have been mad at.
I'm going to go with Cleveland because out of both teams,
I'm more familiar with Donovan Mitchell than anybody else yeah and if we say if you say
killer about the aging superstars what do we call those teams because I think they weren't looking
for Cleveland they were looking for Miami they were looking for Philadelphia so when those teams
are out even the Knicks they weren't really looking for the. So when those teams are out, even the
Knicks, they weren't really looking for the Knicks.
So what do we call that?
Like an Asian superstar.
What name would you give that?
I'm not sure because at the
end, it's called an Asian superstar
is the name I would give them, but
the thing about it is
it's not beyond
belief that these teams would still be in the playoffs right now.
Even leading up to the playoffs, I'm like,
now Steph Curry and them are going to pull something off.
They're going to get in there.
Kevin Durant and Phoenix with Booker and Bradley, they're going to get to the next round.
LeBron and them, only reason I said that they probably wouldn't get to the next round
as far as the Lakers are concerned is because they're playing Denver.
If they played OKC, I would have been like they got a chance but I'm not sure exactly that's why I said agent superstar on teams I don't know exactly what you would call
it but I'm not counting them out 100% because with the workout the nutrition the medicine that
these players are playing and they're playing way past the time people were playing, the medicine that these players are playing in,
they're playing way past the times people were playing in the 80s or 90s or even early 2000s.
You know, you got LeBron on his 21st season
looking like it may be his 10th, 11th season.
You got KD, who's 36 years old.
Steph Curry's 35 years old.
You know, these are ages that people usually retire.
Dwyane Wade, to me, he didn't look good to me his last three, four years.
You got to realize, we forget Dwyane Wade went to Chicago.
Then he was in Cleveland for a minute.
You don't do that to Dwyane Wade.
You just throw him around like that.
But he retired at age 36.
You know what I'm saying?
Carmelo Anthony, another superstar.
He couldn't find a team.
He was on Portland.
Then he was on OKC.
Then he finished with the Lakers.
And it's like, what do you call that?
Because Carmelo's probably 38, 39.
Well, LeBron's 39.
He's going to be probably 40 years old.
I think he's a year older.
But these players are playing well into their late 30s or mid-30s
as to where people are retiring at 33, 34 years old.
So I don't want to say that they're out and they're old
because they're still performing at a high level.
But you got to give these young guys some credit as well.
Yeah, they're going to have to do more marketing to these other cities,
like you said, because these are like uncommon contenders.
But if they are beat, like even New York, they beat Philly with Joel Embiid.
So it's not like he wasn't present.
He was present, and he had 50 in the game.
And 35.
Yeah, so he was definitely – this sends Philly back to the drawing board.
But I was more concerned when I saw LeBron at the game.
I was thinking about, would it be crazy if his son was picked up by Cleveland?
Well, his son, one thing for sure, two things for certain.
I'm not sure what we're talking about, but he looked really good at the combine, the NBA combine.
He looked really, really good.
Yeah, that's why I said that.
Shout out to the James family.
I just like to be fair.
I have nothing against LeBron.
The reason why it seems like you do,
because you keep saying you have nothing against LeBron.
You have to keep saying that.
Because the comments are always like, yo. because you keep saying you have nothing against LeBron. You have to keep saying that.
Because the comments are always like, yo.
LeBron actually told me to tell you, like, yo, he's like murderous fucking hilarious. He told me to tell you that.
Like, probably a few months ago, we was talking and shit on text,
and he's like, yo, that nigga Mase is hilarious.
So, yeah, hate towards him is just not understandable.
Nigga said my hate. Yeah, look, you you know one thing LeBron and Rich Paul...
Look at T.T.
No, one thing, but see one thing about LeBron and his crew, and he didn't tell me this,
but I understand they know business and they know you got a job to do. That's just, it
is what it is.
So you think my job to do. And that's just, it is what it is.
So you think my job is to hate? No, your job is to give your honest opinion.
And that's what I believe.
I don't think you're just up here hating.
I'm just saying you really give your honest opinion.
Sometimes it seems biased, but,
but I really believe that you're up here
giving your honest opinion.
You can hate on the whole statement.
So I guess Maze real quick before we move on to the next question for the people who think that you're up there to hate,
what would you like to say to them?
I actually bought a pair of LeBrons, man.
I actually bought the 22s.
Is it 22 or 21?
The gray ones with the silver check.
They hurt my feet, but I did buy them.
You know what that sounds like, Mase, when white people be like, I got a black friend.
It sounds like you bought them just for this moment,
in case somebody says how I'm hating.
LeBron got 200 pairs of different sneakers out.
Like I said, I got a pair of LeBrons.
And they hurt his feet. And they hurt his feet.
Why would those be the ones that hurt his feet?
So, yeah, it's like a white person. I got
black friends.
Why would you say a black friend
if they're just your friends?
But I digress.
Yes,
that is.
There you have it. Okay, let's
move on to the next game.
So the Thunder versus Mavs.
They're definitely putting up a tough fight, y'all.
Thunder took the win, winning 100-96 to tie the series.
How y'all feeling about this series, this game,
and then who do you guys think has the next game?
Let's go Cam first.
You know what's crazy?
And I'll be totally honest with you.
I didn't see the end of this game
because Dallas was leading and maybe
y'all can feel me.
And I guess I've been traveling
and I didn't get to see the
highlights yet or
do any due diligence on it.
But I left the crib
with like six minutes to go,
and Dallas was leading the whole game by seven, eight, nine points.
I don't know what the fuck happened from the time I left the crib
to the time I'm sitting here this morning on how they lost the game
because they were winning the whole game.
And I'm sitting here looking at the box score.
We know Shea is going to get his 34 points.
Chet looked good.
He was robbing today.
What I'm seeing right now, and Mason might have more input on it,
is Luka 6 for 20 with 18 points.
Yeah, they fell apart.
Yeah, and Kyrie Irving with 9 points.
Luka with 18 points.
Kyrie Irving with 9 points.
That's not going to cut it.
And to me, these games that they lost, they're looking like last season
when they couldn't figure out, yo, you going to be the nigga?
Yeah, you going to be the nigga?
You going to be the nigga?
And they figured that out during the regular season,
and now it's some type of glitch in the playoffs.
How they collapsed, Mace could probably elaborate more
if he's seen the end of the game, which I didn't,
but I seen three and a half quarters where Dallas was winning.
So I don't know what happened in the last six minutes.
Yeah, it boiled down to me.
It boiled down to those free throws that Luka was at the stripe
and he missed one of them.
He missed the first one.
I believe it was 96 to 92.
I remember that.
And he made the first.
It could have been 94 to 96.
And he missed the first one.
I was like, oh, they're in trouble.
Then he made the second one, but then they let them get a bucket.
Then he came back and P.J. did something wild.
And I was just like, oh, man, this is not good.
Because they could have really been up 3-1.
Looking at it from a basketball point of view,
they are absolutely supposed to be up 3-1.
That's why I left.
That's what I was assuming that happened.
I sat there and watched that game for three and a half quarters, and I'm like, this is about to be a 3-1. That's why I left. That's what I was assuming that happened. I sat there and watched that game for three and a half quarters,
and I'm like, this is about to be a 3-1 lead.
Like I said, my flight was delayed.
I didn't get a chance to check.
But when I sit here and say that they lost, I'm confused,
and I'm like, I really need to go back and catch the end of that game
and see what happened.
But one stat that I'm looking at, the team stats,
and a big, big disparity is similar to what you said.
OKC is 95, 96% from the free throw line,
and Dallas is 50%, 52% from the free throw line.
You can't shoot 50% from the free throw line in the playoffs.
You can't do that.
Yeah, while they was going back to back, bucket for bucket,
Chet gets to the line and make both of his free throws.
That's really what made them pause, pull away,
because they kept needing a basket to be up two, then they up four,
and then they start that foul and free throw game.
And then before you know it, it was like Chet was hitting his free throws.
Luke I didn't hit his.
Then P.J. missed.
P.J. almost shot an air ball from the foul line.
Crazy.
And then Luke I went to the basket and fell.
Actually, they bailed Dallas out two or three times
because the first time when he was coming around to pick, it should have been five seconds, right?
When they was taking the ball out, it was five seconds.
And it seemed like they didn't have no timeouts because they kept trying to go full court and not call timeout and advance the ball to half court.
So it was a lot of mental errors in that in that game that they lost that should
not have happened with the with the brilliant mind of jason kidd you know yeah i mean like i said i
i wish i could dive more into it but i'm not going to say a lot act like i seen the end but
from what you're telling me i get get it. I totally get it.
Yeah, and then he got the ball,
he went to the rack and fell out.
And really, it could have been travel,
because nobody touched him.
You know one of them, oh, oh, and everybody like,
yo, did you foul it?
I didn't foul it.
Yeah, then when you go to the replay, nobody touched you.
Nobody touched him, but he was acting like he was hurt.
Gotcha.
I was like, I hope he make these free throws.
I really would have liked to see Dallas.
But then again, who knows?
If Dallas, you want to see Dallas versus Denver?
Something about Dallas, and I'm always rooting for Dallas
because, you know, we got family that's on the coaching staff.
But, you know, I said this.
I'm saying from a fan's perspective.
Dallas versus, I would have wanted to see Dallas versus Minnesota.
I would have wanted to see Dallas versus Minnesota.
It's something about Dallas to me that's not right,
and I don't know what it is.
Like I said, because you know what it is?
What do you mean not right?
Because it's not, to me, it's like Luka and Kyrie,
they do what they do, but it's not together.
If you get what I'm saying. Luka go do what he do, Kyrie go do what he do, but it's not together. Yeah. If you get what I'm saying.
Luka go do what he do.
Kyrie go do what he do, but it's not ho, ho.
Yeah, you get what I'm saying?
Like how niggas be in sync.
To me, they're not in sync.
It's just two niggas that know how to get theirs and not saying that they don't pass to each other,
but they're more passive to Gafford, the big man,
or PJ, or whoever.
They're not in sync to me with each other it's like if me and
you on the same team and I'm like okay your turn okay my turn okay you hot you just keep going
yeah because nigga the nigga Kyrie will pass it to Luka and walk over here or Luka give it to Kyrie
and he'll walk over they're not like let's go murder you know what I'm saying like that's what
I get when I see they still They still haven't clicked yet.
Right, and I don't know if they can
because they have so much respect for each other
and they're both super duper good.
But it's not, as many times as we seen them play,
it may be three or four highlights
of them doing something together.
Yeah.
It ain't some old.
They still not on the same team yet.
Right, exactly.
It isn't like.
Like you, have you ever seen Luka, Alioub, the Kyrie?
No, I'm not saying he hasn't, but I haven't seen it.
No, that's what I'm saying.
You haven't seen it.
Those type of players should have pause, special moments.
Exactly, same thing.
And I know I'm using the creme de la creme
and the top of the top pause when it comes to Clay Thompson
and Steph
Curry or Draymond.
They're in sync.
Or when you talk about even looking at with Denver, the way they move around, everybody's
in sync with each other.
Whether it's Michael Porter Jr., whether it's KCP, whether it's Luka, Luka's getting the
ball on the key, everybody's moving. They're in sync, and when it comes to-
And they're all cheering for each other.
Right, and I'm not saying those two aren't cheering,
but it's just like, y'all two,
both could get your own thing, pause,
but it's not together, I don't never see that together,
so when you ask me what I wanna see them play,
it's like, I'm just watching one nigga show off
and the other nigga show off pause when they're hot,
but it's not in sync and I don't know what that's about.
Yeah, that's crazy.
First, Cam, I would just love to know
how you use the term creme de la creme, top of the top.
But when I said it, I was called out, but-
I said pause.
With you guys, I just thought that But I said pause with you guys.
I thought that was funny.
But with you guys, you think you're a vanicrum dollar crime?
No, I didn't say that.
I just let me.
I haven't. I don't know.
OK, that's it.
That was funny.
But if you guys feel like you can't use creme de la creme.
I didn't see that.
Is that just for college?
No.
And I didn't say that.
I think everybody should use creme de la creme.
I just thought that was funny.
Are you?
But I was saying, are you a delta AK?
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
No, not at all.
You put a lot of emphasis on that creme de la creme.
Yeah.
The term.
Oh, okay.
But as we move on, before we go to the next subject.
Using that before you response.
Yes, I know, guys.
No, guys.
I was just saying, since you guys feel like you haven't seen Luka and Kyrie together,
do you guys like them on the same team together?
Yeah, they just need to spend more time paused together,
probably on the offseason and just doing stuff probably non-basketball just to figure out how each other think.
Rob Markman And this was kind of like where I was at
early in the season when I was saying, before the season started and I was like, I don't
know if Luka makes his team better because he doesn't trust them.
But what I have realized that he does trust his team because his assists went up,
you see him passing more, etc. But it's mainly on when he gets trapped going to the basket,
he hits the guys in the corner for three or he'll pass it back for three or he'll catch a live pass.
How, and you know, that goes for the three to four to five. How is him and Kyrie gonna sync with each other?
That's the question, cuz those are the two superstars on the team.
That's the question for Karen.
Understood, okay, and then moving along, there is a clip of Paul Pierce on
Undisputed that is one of his new roles.
And he's talking to one of the co-hosts and he says,
look at this nigga Key. That clip is going viral because obviously that aired on live television.
I'm just curious on you guys' thoughts, how you guys feel about his role and then just in general,
the turn that you guys see sports media taking, especially on live TV.
media taking, especially on live TV?
I don't really see why it's a big deal.
You know, all he said, I mean, yeah, it's a big deal.
He said it on Fox.
He shouldn't have said that.
What do you think, killer?
You don't know what I think for real?
Yeah, he could have said it on our show.
But he wasn't on our show. You don't really know what I think? I really, really, really want to know what I think for real? Yeah, he could have said it on our show, but he wasn't on our show. You want to really know what I think?
I really, really, really want to know what you think.
I'll be willing to bet $10,000 on it.
I think before the show started, that Skip told him,
if a nigga slip out of two, it's okay.
You want to use that word y'all be using once in a while
to throw it in there, it's all right.
What's the most niggerific thing that you can do?
Be yourself, Paul.
Don't worry, I'll take care of it with FS1 lately.
I don't want you not to be you.
So if the N word slips out, don't.
Every now and again.
Every now and again.
Don't worry about it.
I'll pay the fine.
Don't worry about it.
I can see that.
I really can see that.
Yeah, I really believe.
I'm not going to say and say skip said the N word.
I think he went to Paul and said, don't hesitate to be you and don't worry about verbiage.
Live.
Yeah, live.
Live Paul.
Because you know what?
Paul didn't even hesitate like he fucked up.
You know how some people be like, oh shit.
Nigga just kept going.
This nigga here.
Nigga fucking look at this nigga.
Yo, look at this nigga.
Yeah.
Some people be like, oh shit, I'm bugging, I'm sorry.
And Skip didn't show any facial expressions.
Exactly.
That means what you're saying is true.
That's how I take it.
I'm taking it like, yo, I need you to be the best nigga you can be on this show.
You ain't got no do-rags you can wear.
Yeah.
You ain't got a Lucy on you. You ain't got a durags you can wear. Yeah. You ain't got a Lucy on you.
You ain't got a Newport in your ass.
Be the best nigga you can be.
And I think that's what Skip told him before this shit started.
We need top of the line nigga shit.
And we need ratings.
So if you did that and it got everybody talking.
Let's think about it, right?
Put it in perspective.
When's the last time anybody, and I'm not saying he doesn't have a fan base,
but I'm just saying in the general podcast or first take
or anything else that's going to Shannon Sharp, Club Shake, whatever.
When's the last time we talked about Undisputed?
Niggas tried to get Lil Wayne, Michael Irvin, Keyshawn,
the nigga Richard Homeboy he was arguing with.
Yeah. Richard Sherman. That was the last thing homeboy he was arguing with. Richard Sherman.
That was the last thing we talked about,
the argument with Richard Sherman.
Richard Sherman, he got my man Bubba, Bubba Dubb.
He been reaching all damn seasons
since the beginning of football season.
Now Paul Pierce is up there, and I ain't mad at Paul,
but Paul my nigga, he know he got a home here
whenever he wanna come home.
But Skip is doing everything he can
to get the right nigga.
Give me a shot.
If you could be the right nigga,
call up Skip Bill.
He's looking for the right nigga
to be a part of his show, Undisputed.
Now, look, he'll give you a gold chain, Kool-Aid, fried chicken, watermelon.
All you got to do is tap dance, nigger.
Do whatever you want to do, and you can be part of FS1, Undisputed show.
Be the best nigger you can be.
And I'm going gonna be honest with you
get a jerry curl
go on there
eat sunflower seeds
if you come out like this
yeah exactly
back type shit he's looking for that
so that's what I thought
when I seen it cause no like you like you said, it wasn't just Paul Pierce.
Nobody, nobody motherfucking paused for cause
when he said that shit.
That's my opinion.
Good takes.
And then just in general,
how do y'all feel about the future of sports media?
Because when you say that, right,
like Undisputed used to be one of those top shows.
And now we see First Take,
which is mainly centered around Stephen A
and includes Shannon Sharp.
I think we've seen, obviously,
the figures who were once at the top kind of shift.
So where do you guys think that direction is going
and how do you feel about that?
I really just believe it's a new day.
You got uncommon contenders.
It's people you didn't plan for.
You couldn't plan for because you didn't know they were going to come and pause.
You know what I'm saying?
I think that's the same way with these teams.
Nobody knew the Knicks was going to have this kind of year.
Nobody knew that the Sixers would
be out. Nobody knew that Undisputed would be the way it is now. That used to be the
only show people watch.
Mase ain't going to stop saying, we did everything. It's us. Fuck that. Enough. It's time to stop being modest about shit.
It's us, nigga.
We came in here, we disrupted the whole shit.
Everybody was scrambling.
Oh shit.
Killer and Mase, they got some shit.
Motherfucking Stat Baby, you know what I'm saying?
We turned Ty into a star.
She's fresh out of college.
She running in the studio, niggas chasing her to take pictures.
We did this shit. We did this shit. Niggas they start scrambling motherfucking little wayne and that's my brother
i'm not talking about nigga wasn't thinking about getting little wayne every friday all these
gambling companies wasn't going to urban america to be like now gambling companies was dealing with
sports related shit right yeah but now it's everywhere yeah now if you got a talk show they want you to talk about
on their talk show if you got a a show about pregnancy you could be delivering a baby
tune in the underdog fantasy for the next winner it's not just sports related and what they see
what happened with me and murder is that we had culture on our side because we've been
part of culture for 25 years and they like, oh, it doesn't just have to be sports.
Even though we're doing a sports show, these niggas, money means something.
It's like when niggas start valuing the black dollar back in the days and be like, oh shit,
these niggas spending money.
You know, some people didn't like that.
I remember Chris Dow was like, we don't want niggas drinking Chris Dow no more.
We don't want to be-
Timbaland.
Yeah, Timbaland figured out, they was like, man,
these niggas copping more than the white niggas, man.
We got to get them niggas back.
Yeah, we might as well stick with the black niggas when they come to Timbaland.
I was going to bring Timbaland up.
And like I said, and I'm thankful that we were able to do that,
but I'm not going to keep sitting there acting like it wasn't us.
Yeah.
No disrespect.
And I'm not talking about niggas
because I know before it was like,
they was like, oh, we beefing with niggas and all that.
And now Norrie's my brother.
No disrespect, that's my brother.
He got underdog fantasy.
Yeah.
He was just drink champs.
So I'm not saying he ain't have other sponsorships
and everything else with liquor,
but now he's doing gambling.
Wow. Joe Button's podcast, gambling on it.
Why?
You're welcome, not y'all two.
Just all the other shows,
because I'm not naming nearly half,
I'm just using y'all two,
because as far as Joe Buttons and Norby,
y'all are at the top of the list
doing this way before me and Murda have been doing it,
and y'all still remain to be at the top of the top at what you guysda have been doing it and y'all still remain to be
at the top of the top of what you guys are doing so salute to y'all but the point being outside of
those shows it's more shows yo gambling this gambling that this time and third you're welcome
you're welcome yeah you're welcome and we're get ours. Well, you better believe that.
We're going to get ours.
So, yes, that's where I feel it's going because we set this motherfucker off.
That's a great take.
I love both of y'all's take, and I think that's the truth. Just kind of wanted people to hear it because it's the truth.
Okay, so we're going to go to break.
When we return, we will discuss kendrick perkins
take on rudy gobert don't go anywhere i thought you said kendrick lamar no you talk about him too She called this thing about toxic Four years and counting
Got you feeling like an option
Maybe I'm my own problem, babe
She tired of hearing, I don't know
What's happening, me won't fall
Dealing with this thing called trust
But she really thinking about
welcome back now let's get into our underdog fantasy picks of the day tonight the pacers
will play the knicks underdog fantasy has pascal siakam at 23 and a half points and assist. Do you have them higher or lower, Mace?
23 points, what?
23 and a half points and assists.
Lower.
I'm gonna go higher.
Okay, Tyrese Halliburton is at four and a half rebounds.
Do you have them higher or lower, Cam?
I'm going to go lower.
Yeah, lower.
Okay, and Jalen Brunson is at three rebounds.
Do you have him higher or lower, Mace?
Higher.
Higher as well.
Okay, download the Underdog Fantasy app app and you can make your picks too
so hold on real quick hold on real quick because i forgot somebody
sergeant costa now welcome to the underdog family as well
there you have it back facts it's what we do okay okay so kend. So Kendrick Perkins calls out Rudy Gobert and says,
isn't Rudy Gobert the defensive player of the year?
Why is it all the time he's the defensive player of the year in the regular
season, but he's a defensive liability come playoff time?
So do you guys think Gobert is a defensive liability in the playoffs?
And how do you guys feel about Kendrick Perkins' take?
Do y'all feel like he's hating or you feel like there's truth to that yo why why is it every time somebody
tell the truth they gotta be hating it it is it's crazy how most of the people who who are on these
shows talking about people all the time when somebody say something about them, they just lose it.
Me included, you know?
But why is that?
You know, he say all of this about Rudy Gobert.
Part of it is true, though.
He's a defensive liability one-on-one, but he's not a defensive liability to the team as a whole
because though he can guard his man a lot of times when it comes to Joker,
he can get blocks from other people, change shots.
So he got to make the difference there and make that clear
because it can come across as hate when it's not really hate.
It's just he's not really hate.
It's just he's not incorrect, just incomplete.
It's possible to be incomplete.
What I would say is this.
What the NBA needs to do, my personal opinion,
and it's probably not going to happen because it's been going on for years.
My personal opinion is when these awards are given out or they're voted,
stop waiting until the middle of the playoffs
to announce who the winner is
because now we're seeing them in the playoffs
getting the award for the regular season,
and you're like, how'd he get that?
How he not this?
When the shit is over, give these players the awards
because now you're sitting there saying,
I don't understand how the fuck niggas got that.
Like, I remember one year Dirk Nowinski got MVP
and he got it the night he got bumped from the playoffs
in the first round.
And everybody like, the MVP is going home.
How is he MVP?
How is he MVP?
And you let this shit linger to the middle of the playoffs
to where people are not remembering
and I'm not accusing Kendrick Perkins of this
at all because that's not what he said. But I'm
just saying that
it lingers on and you forget this is a
regular season award because
they're not doing what they're doing in the playoffs.
Same thing like with Jalen Brunson. Everybody
like the last two months he's been playing sensational.
How he's not MVP. How he's not MVP.
How he's not MVP.
Because they start from October to April.
Finish in April.
Right.
So it's not a two-month award or a three-month award.
It's from October to the beginning of April award.
And people get that misconstrued.
So when you see them in the playoffs
and then you see a person like Joker get an MVP,
you're like, well, nobody played better than Jalen Brunson
the last three weeks, three months.
I don't understand.
It's the award stocks in October.
So the NBA, to me, and I know they do it to spread out,
to cause more drama, et cetera.
You got people in smoke and mirrors, so to speak,
to where you're saying, I don't understand it
because you got a player playing one way in the playoffs
and not in the regular season,
and these awards are not playoff awards.
Now back to what Kendrick Perkins said.
Look, Ant-Man said it.
I'm not going to do that to Rudy Gobert,
said, look, Ant-Man said it.
I'm not going to do that to Rudy Gobert.
And I'm just not because
Ant-Man said it last game
or he said it the other game. He said, look,
we won the first two games
but when you're playing, this is his
words, they have the best
player in the world on their team.
So when you're playing against
the best player in the world, it's not going to be
easy like people think it's going to be easy. And when you're playing against the best player in the world it's not going to be easy like people
think it's going to be easy and when you plan against the best player in the world uh
some people may feel that way some people may not i think as of now the joker might be the
best player in the world if not definitely two or three but he made adjustments you got to think
rudy gobert did a great job the first game.
He didn't play the second game, and then Cat did a great job the second game.
But when you sit in there playing with somebody who says,
okay, you may need two or three of me to beat these niggas, pause.
And Joker said, well, if I need to duplicate myself, then I'll do that.
And he sat there, probably watched tape, figured out what he needed to do.
And the last two games, they've been looking like they're not shit on defense.
They're looking like you can't guard them.
But at the end of the day, who really can?
You know, we sat there and watched the first two games with Minnesota
and the Nuggets, and we sat there and said,
uh-oh, the Twin Towers might got this nigga.
They might got his number.
This might be what it took for these niggas to get this nigga's number.
And then Joker said, no, let me figure this shit the fuck out.
Let me figure.
I ain't got time.
One thing about foreign players.
They don't live here.
And they're going to play hard
and they're going to go as
they're going to do as much as they can
to win because they're going back
home in the summertime. Joker,
as much as we see him
play hard and everything,
he wants to get back home. If they
celebrating Joker here in Denver or America,
how we celebrate him or basketball fans celebrate,
imagine what the fuck going on where he from.
Nigga, that man probably can't do,
he can't do no wrong.
So when you sit here and watch these playoffs
and you think about all the players that's hurt,
right, Murda?
Yeah. All the players that's hurt, right, Murda? Yeah.
All the players that's hurt.
Ain't none of them foreign.
All the foreign players.
Luka limping his ass out there.
Pause.
He playing.
We don't see Shea getting hurt.
Joker just got 22 scratches on his arms and everything.
They going back home.
They like, man, I ain't been over here for six months, eight months to lose.
I'm going back home so I can stunt, man.
And them niggas don't.
Everybody that's hurt is from America.
I'm hurt.
That's crazy.
Yeah.
And what they call at Paul's, low management.
Right.
Yeah.
It's over for that this year.
Right.
We don't want to see no more of that.
Right.
So I'm not disagreeing with Kendrick Perkins.
We don't want to see no more of that.
Right.
So I'm not disagreeing with Kendrick Perkins.
All I'm saying is that when you got the best quote-unquote player in the world,
according to Anthony Edwards, he's going to make adjustments.
And he's not over here just to be over here.
He does not live here.
He lives on about a nine, ten-hour flight home.
Yeah, so they're coming over here like it's war. Yes man i'm leaving my family behind everything yes exactly kill these exactly exactly
that analogy was crazy but it was a great one i'm not gonna lie okay so we have some wmba
discussions there's a lot going on first we're gonna start with the connecticut sun so they sold was crazy, but it was a great one. I'm not going to lie. Okay. So we have some WNBA discussions.
There's a lot going on. First, we're going to start with the Connecticut Sun. So they sold out
their first home opener in decades because Kaitlyn Clark is having her debut with the Indiana Fever.
Just in general, how do you guys feel about the WNBA's progression and the impact that
Kaitlyn Clark has been able to make being a rookie in the WNBA.
Stat.
That's why she needed the shoes that this was talking about.
There's a demand here.
That's what he was talking about.
Now,
had you said that this was happening in Vegas,
I would have looked at you differently
But this is exactly what we was talking about
And as I'm saying this, Caitlyn comes on the TV
I hate to double down on these stat paws
But I'm reading what you wrote
It says that they haven't sold out in decades
that's what it said
yes
that's what we was talking about yesterday
Asia Wilson been over there though right
did they sell out when she played
yes
they did
no they didn't sell out I'm saying yes Asia's been over there
no they didn't sell out yeah I'm saying, yes, Asia's been over there. No, they didn't sell out.
Yeah, this is what we talking about.
This is what we were talking about.
Mid-America, man.
Yeah, this is, this is, we wasn't down in Asia Wilson.
We, she was well-deserved, but the man,
this girl hasn't played a game in the NB, WNBA yet.
We call it the W. She hasn't played a game yet. IBW NBA yet. We call it the W.
She hasn't played a game yet.
I ain't talking about the hotel.
Listen, man, this is a demand.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So when it's a demand,
we don't know if this girl might be trashed
when it comes to home runs.
She had a great season pre-opener.
She had 21 points.
They lost.
Pre-season debut.
Yeah, pre-season debut.
It was pretty good.
I've seen it.
But this is what we call a demand.
Yeah.
I'm not shocked.
This is why they pay the big bucks.
Yeah, I'm not shocked about it, if that's the question.
I think every game she's going to be at is going to be sold out.
I actually looked at some Aces games.
Not Aces games, pardon me.
The game when she comes to play the Aces, I should say.
And the floor seats, you know, I either do the floor or I do the skybox.
I don't do nothing in between.
Pause.
I don't even know what that life's about.
I don't even know.
Floor seats was eight,
and this was a month and a half ago,
whenever the draft was.
$8,700 for one seat?
I think me and Murdo went to the Phoenix game,
not even think.
We went to the Phoenix games,
game four playoffs last year,
and we got our seats for $5,000 apiece.
The Phoenix Suns against the Denver Nuggets on the floor for $5,000 apiece.
$8,700?
Now, mind you, that was a month ago.
If them seats are available today, they're probably $11,000.
Now, if they got bought, the black market, the resale, is 13,000.
The day before the game is 17,000 if you really need it.
Demand.
Yeah, and you got to buy both tickets because I don't want to separate the tickets.
Yeah, so now we at 40,000.
Yeah, now we at 40.
So that's all. I really hate to to separate the tickets. Yeah, so now we have 40,000. Yeah, now we have 40.
So that's all.
I really hate to agree with this nigga.
That's the difference between deserve and demand.
Now you had a good class in deserve versus demand.
I would like to say a lot of people did at me. What?
A lot of people did at me and DM me saying that they felt like Asia Wilson was a demand
too, especially coming from South Carolina.
But I, I, that's what I'm saying.
I understand both parts.
I do.
No, we're not talking about urban demand.
We're talking about mid America demand.
And you know what makes, I, I hate agreeing with you, but I was gonna say the same thing.
Black people are always angry.
We're always like, you did it right because we felt we got jerked.
So the people who were at you were, I bet, majority black,
and they were pissed off, and fuck this white bitch,
and da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
So I'm not saying you did your act because I can imagine all the acts
that probably was at me.
I didn't see them because I was busy.
But, Cam, you don't know what you're talking about.
Listen, that's because, and the people that we're talking to,
and I'm not talking to you, Sat, right now,
you've probably never done business at a high level.
You're probably a cashier, and that's no disrespect.
Cashiers are mad. Bus drivers.
Custodians. Waitresses. People who fold the napkins and put the silverware. They're mad.
And I get it. But when you've done business at a high level, it's plus, it's minus, it's in the red,
it's a gross, it's a net, and I know I'm speaking foreign to you right now. I get that, but you have to understand business. Sorry, and I
don't mean any disrespect to anybody of those jobs I named because those are jobs that need to be
done, but sometimes when you don't have a job at a high level, And I'm just, like I said, I'm not being rude or crude or anything like that.
The person who's a waiter at the restaurant
probably could never understand what an owner of a restaurant goes through.
That's all I'm saying.
And that's saying they're not smart enough to,
but they're not going to do the due diligence or homework to figure it out.
Yes, Staten, I didn't call nobody ghetto.
I called them urban.
That's my new one.
A.K.A. ghetto.
I'm urban.
I ain't say nothing.
I ain't say nothing.
Okay, so there's two more parts to the question before we wrap.
So now also the WNBA has private charter planes for the players to ride for the games
didn't have that before yeah how do y'all feel about that new addition
demands that all you talking about is demand
you know this really bothers me. It bothers me, man.
Yo, P, it pisses me off, P, on some G shit.
It pisses me off.
You know why?
Because niggas acting like this Chinese checkers.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, yo, P, niggas acting like, I wonder how all this happened.
How would Charlotte play?
Nike deal tickets are sold out.
It is a white American superstar in the fucking building, man.
I'm tired, man.
I'm tired of acting like it's, oh my God, how did this happen?
When the fuck?
They was probably on Greyhound three years ago, man.
Come on, nigga.
Come on.
We got to stop acting like we don't know how this happened.
We got to stop acting like this is amazing.
Now, don't get me wrong.
Don Staley's doing amazing things.
It's a bunch of black females and brown females doing amazing things.
There has not been another white American superstar basketball player, male or female, since Larry Bird.
So this is makeup.
Wally Zerbiak.
Wally Zerbiak is crazy.
Wally Zerbiak.
Christian Laina.
He was American, but he wasn't that nigga.
He couldn't pull it off.
They was trying to.
They put that nigga in the Olympics from college.
He couldn't do it.
He was on Dream Team 1, right?
You got Luka Doncic.
You got Dirk Nowitzki.
You got mad white superstars.
They are not from America, man.
They're not.
Who else?
There was somebody else.
There was somebody else.
He wasn't that nigga.
Danny Frey had one good game against Michael Jordan.
They keep showing it on the ground. Yeah, what about this night when he killed Michael? Now, Danny Frey had one good game against Michael Jordan. They keep showing it on the ground.
Yeah, what about this night when he killed Michael?
Now, Danny Frey's a good GM.
Better GM than player.
But listen.
What about White Chocolate?
Pause.
He was too nigga for white America.
Yeah.
Reg's chat, man.
Yeah, it was.
Everybody your name was.
Everybody your name.
Chris Muller.
Jason.
I'm going to get that in a minute.
Jason Williams, spectacular for the black people.
I loved him.
He's one of my favorites.
Much as I love Chris Muller.
He from New York.
Gaucho nigga.
What up, nigga?
Salute to the shows.
These niggas wasn't nowhere close to Larry Bird, bro.
Not even a little bit close.
Larry Bird went up against Magic Johnson
when it was black against white.
Saved the NBA, got three championships,
three MVPs, and was that nigga
against Magic Johnson
when Magic Johnson was that nigga.
Like, we're forgetting what Larry Bird
did to save the NBA.
Not only that, Larry Bird used to tell niggas,as know why y'all got black niggas garden.
Y'all being wild disrespectful man.
Why you got him out of all people God him know his exact words.
I'm not saying you're wrong.
I seen Isaiah Thomas said the most disrespectful city said when they came on the court to do
the jump ball and he went out as they said, why do y'all got somebody white guarding me?
I said black niggas.
I said, why would you put somebody white on me?
And disgust, Pete.
And disgust.
And he was like, y'all being wild,
I'm just letting you know, this on y'all,
this on y'all what's about to happen, I'm telling you now, because y'all being wild, I'm just letting you know, this on y'all, this on y'all what's about to happen.
I'm telling you now, because y'all being wild disrespectful.
And then Isaiah Thomas said, the next year, he said,
yeah, we got somebody for you.
Dennis Rodman.
Dennis Rodman.
He said, okay.
Copy, heard you.
Let's see how this works out for you too.
That type of disrespect.
It ain't been one of them.
You know what I'm saying?
She definitely got that vibe.
Right.
Exactly.
Kaitlyn Clark, that girl who won the championship this year,
she came back and did better.
You know how much she had to look at that last year?
She's open for three and Kaitlyn Clark like, shoot, I dare you.
Shoot, doing this.
I'm not even staring.
Shoot. White niggas like, yeah, we got one. Yeah. Doing this. I'm not even Jerry. Shoot.
White niggas like, yeah, we got one.
Yeah.
We got one.
Yeah, we got one.
Yeah, man.
Come on, man.
We acting like this shit Chinese checkers, man, and it's not, bro.
That's all I got to say.
Yeah, it's charter planes and y'all going to get some more shit.
And you know what?
I'm going to be totally honest with you.
And I know it's females that gonna be totally honest with you.
And I know it's females that's probably better than Kaitlyn Clark and the WNBA.
But y'all should be real thankful.
And I'm not saying sit down and kiss nobody ass.
Y'all should be very, very thankful
that she came to the WNBA.
Because there wouldn't be no charter flights.
Ticket sales wouldn't be going up.
And she could have wanted to say,
yo, you know what? I'm gonna get with y'all in two years. Let me go grab this
five million. And she could have went to do the big three. But she said she wanted to
empower women in basketball, empower women in sports. And she's keeping her word on that.
I don't know if I could have done that.
Yeah, that's a lot of money.
Yeah, because you're thinking about it, murder.
Now, I know the sponsorships is going to come in,
and she's going to make more money from that.
She already has a $27 million deal with Nike.
I mean, it's almost a goddamn slave deal, eight years and all that.
But at the end of the day, she could have went and got $5 million
for a couple years.
Her salary is 73 000
for the year for the year bro what you would have done and I'm not and listen that question
is rhetorical I didn't even ask you what you would have done because I know I can't even get a watch Yeah, murder. How long? How are we going to buy a car?
Now, Mark, we're not even including taxes.
Yeah, or the agent getting his fee.
The agent getting their fee.
Taxes getting their fee.
Motherfucking apartment, living, travel.
How much you going to keep?
$17,226?
Yeah, I was thinking, yeah, $223.
Yeah, so I salute
her so much for
saying, nah, we're gonna take women's sports
to the next level. And
whoever's hating on her, and I'm not saying I've seen people
hating on her, be glad
because y'all all... Niggas is hating on us.
Yeah, I know some niggas.
But what they should do is some people
that feel they're better than Kaitlyn Clark
or could play just as good or better than her
be like, I'm taking this opportunity
to bust their ass when I see it now
because I know the camera's coming.
I know we're going to be sold out.
I know they looking
because that's how you get the eyeballs off her paws
and on you like, nah, shorty gave Asia 42.
It's a problem.
Yeah, circle the game of her versus Tarazi.
Yeah, exactly, exactly.
But then what happens is, let's say,
and I'm not gonna use Asia Wilson
because she's the top of the women's basketball
as far as playing is concerned,
but she plays against, let's say, let's just use Connecticut.
I'm not sure who's on the team at this particular moment,
but somebody on Connecticut gives Kaitlyn 42.
Now you're saying, oh, we got to watch Shorty when she play again.
And hopefully it could trickle down and y'all will get more viewerships,
more chartered planes, more sneaker deals, more dollars,
because I think y'all are well deserving of it.
I think that less than $100,000 is a travesty, it's a crime almost.
Okay, well, there you have it.
That is all the time that we have for today.
Thanks for watching and as always, it is what it is. Outro Music
