I'm so sad I can't say
Memphis is my new team.
I'm sad about that.
I was expecting to come in here today
and say that my new team is Memphis.
I can't even troll today.
I can't.
You're trolling just by saying that. I can't even troll today. I can't.
You're trolling just by saying that. Just saying that.
Just saying that. You're trolling.
Just the fact that you're going to let everybody
know that if they won
they was going to be a team.
It's crazy.
You're doing it for us without doing it.
Unintentionally.
And we're not surprised.
We are not surprised.
At all.
I'm really not surprised.
Guys, we have a lot to talk about today.
You know, the playing tournament,
a lot of must-see TV.
We gotta start with the Warriors beating the Grizzlies,
which is allegedly Mace's semi-team kind of team.
We don't know what team it is for him.
Oh, don't start that now.
Who started it? So I got to start to.
You don't start that playing Jimmy Butler.
So, yes, the Warriors beat the Grizzlies, 121 to 116.
Next, the Warriors will play the Rockets, but just in general,
considering this game, Mase, do you think it lived up to the hype?
Oh, yeah, this game definitely lived up to the hype. Um,
You know, it was such a such a really good game
And then this in this game jar getting hurt almost getting hurt again. It's like crazy
It's something about Golden State. I think they got it out for jaw
jaw next time you play against Golden State
You just got to go crazy cuz you you probably will get hurt playing against this team.
There was so many wonderful stories in this game, you know, from Jimmy Butler
living up to the hype that is a real thing.
Playoff Jimmy Butler is still a real thing.
He's he had more than Steph.
He had 38. Steph was shooting like it's a glitch.
I think Steph is just like a different type of player.
I'm ready to say it now.
I'm waiting on the championship.
But Steph is the most impactful player of this generation.
I know for a long time, we said it was LeBron.
No, no, no, no shot at LeBron.
That was Steph is doing is just phenomenal.
You know, just shooting from the half court, shooting from the ozone.
Anywhere he goes on the court, he's open.
If he gets the shot, it's a 70 percent chance is going in.
And it just creates such an enormous fear in teams.
You can see it like he pump fake.
People jump over me pump fake against somebody fly the other way.
And then he hits the shot is almost like,
I don't know what I don't know what's worse.
So God, I got a 50 inch vertical or or being able to shoot like, like,
like Steph, I don't know which one is scarier.
This this game was over.
I knew the Warriors going to win.
I was thinking I was hoping that Memphis could get the game,
but when you got somebody shooting that well, it's going to be hard to lose.
He was almost 50 percent from from three.
You're not going to win.
It don't matter what nobody else is doing because he's hitting threes, they're hitting twos.
And I know OJ said I have a grasp on the obvious, but that's the obvious.
If you keep getting twos and highlighted twos and I keep making a bunch of threes,
you're going to lose because my points are more than yours.
It's just that simple.
And Cam.
It's funny how Mase says he knew Golden State was going to win when we both picked Memphis to win yesterday.
So that's kind of crazy, first and foremost.
But as far as the game is concerned,
look, I think Golden State pulled this game off.
And they did really good.
We talked about James Hart and then Kawhi Lennox
the other day that one-two punch. and Jimmy Butler stepped up to be that others, you know, he led scoring
for Golden State with 38 and stuff had 37. But at the end of the day, that's what it's
going to take for Golden State to win. Me personally, I still not really sold on Golden
State. Like they did really good
and they pulled this game off at the end but you gotta realize in the third
quarter John Moran got hurt when he got hurt they were down one point and they
was in the middle of a run because they was down 20 points at one point in this
game so for them to let Memphis come back from a 20 point lead
to potentially take the lead and John Moran get hurt
on an if it goes right when they're down one point
and then change the trajectory of the rest of that quarter
because John went out and then Golden State
were in a run when they just had the momentum
to come back from 20
points.
Look, if you're, we know it's a new NBA, 20 points, 15 on 12, 15, 17 point leads aren't
guaranteed wins these days.
But when it's the play-in, you got this stuff to fuck up.
You can't be letting niggas come back from 20 points, especially when it's a dangerous
team like that.
When I say dangerous, you got a superstar,
anything could happen.
And luckily he stepped on Buddy Hill's foot.
It wasn't intentional, it wasn't no foul shit.
But he went down.
And if he didn't go down,
I'm guarantee you that Memphis would have continued
that run, but that's lucky for Golden State
that he went down.
They got the win, I think Steph played sensational,
but Scottie Pippen Jr. was giving him fucking fits in the third quarter. The third quarter,
Steph was on lock. Probably with about two, three minutes left, he got some points. He got about
five, six, seven points in the quarter. But the majority of that quarter, Scottie Pippen had him
on lock, and that was the recipe. Now to Steph's credit and like Mason saying
that you just because you have a good seven eight nine minutes playing defense on stuff that don't
mean that you have to guard him 48 minutes because you see what ends up happening 37 points not only
that Steph plays off the ball you may think he's chilling and then he takes off and starts running
then when he starts running you running through double and triple picks
And you only he only needs a half a second to shoot
So they have a good chemistry in the third quarter, but it went down the drain stuff
There was stuff did we can grass congratulations to the go to say warriors
But I am NOT sold because when y'all was on when their back was against the ropes
John Morant went down and then y'all went back on y'all running. It was still tight after that.
Desmond Vane kept him in the game.
He had a great game.
I believe he had 30 points.
They looked really good, but it wasn't enough to get the job done.
So I am kind of happy that Golden State is going to play Houston instead of OKC.
I think that's a better matchup for them and I'm excited to see that series.
But as far as them convincingly winning,
not that was that wasn't the case. The game went down to the wire, actually, actually back to fundamentals real quick
before I don't miss out on the same.
This is fucked up when it comes to motherfuckers learning fundamentals.
You got your damn three points.
You're down three points with four seconds left, and you can't inbound the ball.
You can't hit it off his leg to get another pause, to get another five second count.
You can't throw it into anybody.
I don't know who the fuck that was, but he should be ashamed to make some.
Secondly, if you're the coach, you know damn well a person like that should be caught taking
the ball out.
You know why if you're the coach, you know he shouldn't be taking the ball out? Or pardon me, you know why this coach didn't know he shouldn't be taking the ball out. You know why? If you the coach, you know, he should be taking the ball out or your partner.
You know why this coach didn't know he should be taking the ball out?
Because he just started fucking coaching the team.
He's just been coaching probably seven games.
This is what happens.
This is what happens. You're fired niggas with three, four games left.
You get the inter coach and they make a fucking rookie mistake just like that.
Now, don't get me wrong.
I don't want to say and they'll be like, oh, this coach coach before. I don't know the nigga name and coach and they make a fucking rookie mistake just like that. And I don't get me wrong. I don't want to say, and they'll be like, Oh, this coach coach before.
I don't know the nigga named coach ago.
Memphis.
He looked like he never coached before.
Yeah.
Cause cause my thing is this, I'm not saying don't got experience, cause you
know, our fans, but no, he coached here.
He coached here.
I don't know who can do the fuck the coaches.
They five niggas love a day. I thought it was wild that they did that shit with a few
games left to go and the regular season and now this might be the result of it
somebody who's not in a position to take the ball out because they're not aware
of the situation or the time or the magnitude of the game and you get this
situation right here.
Secondly, real quick, and lastly,
before I finish, back to fundamentals.
You got somebody like Edie from Memphis,
who's 200 feet tall, and every time he gets the ball,
and they double team him,
instead of keeping the ball above his head,
he puts the ball down here to do all this,
and they attack him like piranhas
when they, because they can snatch the ball,
stuff is snatching the ball.
Gary Payton Jr. and them snatching the ball.
They're blocking the shots.
When you're a big man for fundamental purposes,
keep the ball above your head, pause,
because nine out of 10 times,
the people around you won't be able to reach the basketball. you hold it like this pause and you look at what passes you.
Cause they can't reach the ball.
This is not being taught and it's pissing me off.
And now it's costing niggas, possibly a trip not to go to the playoffs.
We'll see what happens.
Yeah.
And why didn't they just call a timeout?
You're inbound in the ball and get the three to four, almost the four seconds.
You call a timeout.
You, you don't, you don't look to do anything else.
They didn't have any more timeouts.
That's another problem.
You don't lose all of your timeouts and the game is closed.
This is what I'm talking about.
Yeah.
So even though he may not be a new coach, it looks like it to me.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He basically is because he's the lead assistant and then took over for Taylor J.
So a couple things.
One just want to clarify.
What I'm saying is not to cut you off, just so we're clear and you too for the coming
truth. You probably not. And this is not something we need to
do now. I probably need to Google their history because
it's going to be some **** who know everything when the end
man like nah, he was the head coach one time when the Clippers
was in San Diego. You know, niggas make all type of ****
because it's a bunch of head coaches and I ain't gonna say a
bunch but it's a couple head coaches that's assistant coaches right now.
Like Darwin Hamm is an assistant coach back in Milwaukee.
We got Jeff Van Gunn, the assistant coach in Cleveland.
These are former head coaches.
So I don't want our fans to be like,
y'all don't know what y'all talking about.
He did coach so and so and so and so.
So I just wanted to be clear.
Yeah, just to clarify.
So of course, under Taylor Jenkins,
he was the assistant head coach,
but previously was the head coach for Paris basketball
and then Telecom basketball.
So like overseas coaching.
I don't care who he used to coach for.
He looked like he don't belong there tonight.
I mean, yesterday, that's what I'm saying.
He looked like a fish out of water.
Yeah, I ain't gonna lie with you
because she just said if he coached for
Telemundo, I can't do that.
Yeah.
We not jacking that.
We not jacking that.
I told him he coached for Paris and all that.
I mean, that's dope too, but I definitely hear y'all.
So a couple of things I want to clarify, just Kim, because you said that the
Grizzlies would go on and play OKC.
They do have to play the winner of the Kings versus Mavs first.
So just before that becomes a whole thing.
Want to clarify that.
And then to you brought up Jaws injury, which was real scary to see.
But luckily he did come back into the game just in general.
Maysal let you go first.
How much do injuries kind of concern you for John Morant?
Jai is so explosive as an athlete that his his arm,
his freakish athleticism pause puts him in danger because he can make so many acrobatic plays.
I think it's time for him to learn how to play without being so acrobatic, you know,
because even when you're falling
like that, as you start losing games and you start losing series as the years go on, we
we've seen this with Russell Westbrook.
We've seen this with T Mac.
We've seen this with who else?
Stephen Francis.
We saw this with who else? Derek Rose and all of these guys that's like super explosive
when that athleticism
Begin to dwindle their game takes a real hit and not just a game takes a real hit after they stop winning so much
It's like people stop seeing them as super acrobatic and now see them as wild.
And I think that's that's where is going to go if he doesn't hurry up and start winning.
So when you're winning, people look at it like, oh, they hurt you.
As you keep losing, people start looking at you like, yo, you out of control. You remember
people used to say that about players killer that was really athletic, but they'd be like, you know, that niggas out of control.
You got to be able to not put yourself in that position.
Oh, sorry, I was just trying to answer your question.
Yes, I point because no, just just to answer your question.
You can finish, but yeah, you know, that's arguments niggas have on the block
But they'd be like like you said, it's been seasons where Russell Westbrook is average triple doubles
And then it's time to be like, you know, this thing is out of control
Yeah when it doesn't work that's what people say.
Like you grew up growing up, you were super athletic, but they never said you was out
of control because you wasn't falling that way and you was using the athleticism the
right way.
No, but listen, listen to that point, Mason.
It was people that used to say, I'm out of control.
I remember Corey Wright used to say, we ain't waiting about Karen.
I think erratic, man.
That's why we used to play brand bytes.
Cause you know, D shot to Donald Graham, Donald Graham for projects over there.
Then Douglas and all that.
He like Corey been talking, man, I should have brought you.
I don't know if he really was, but he put the battery in my back.
Talking about you all er radical and out of control.
All right.
Yeah.
Long time.
A few people, a few people who we did play against cause Corey, right.
Shout out to Corey, right.
To, you know, he, a true point guard.
So somebody who like a Corey, right.
I may have seen out of control.
I get that from his point of view.
Yeah. And it's been a long time since I heard somebody use that term, though, erratic.
That's exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to to job.
My rent is like knowing the pace, playing at different paces, switching the pace up.
It's like when you only know one speed.
It is time for him to like add some more stuff to
his game because he can he can really take over a game if he knows when to be explosive
and when not to.
And I know people say, well, who are you?
You don't know.
You never played an NBA, but I know the game.
I'm telling you, if he was to learn how to do some pick and rolls and stuff like that
and get better at the pick and roll, he would be a much, a much more threat, a much greater
threat and hitting that jump shot right off the elbow, curling, you know, slowing down
when he goes behind the pick and then pausing for a moment to see which layup you want to
get or which dunk you want to get and not just going steamrolling down the court.
I think it's time for him to develop that because the sensation of him being a new talent
and being new hotness is coming to an end.
And after they used to tell you, you only get one summer to beat a new nigga.
And then after that, you got to be great.
I don't really have much to say.
I agree with me.
So that is very, very good.
Take what they said.
Only thing that and listen, there was a time.
I don't know if it's the summer this past summer, the previous summer after that.
But what I will add is that John was actually practicing falling.
So because he knew that he would probably be in position, pause when he had to fall.
But what I will say to John's credit about last night
is that wasn't one of those plays.
But everything Mase said,
I absolutely agree with to the T.
But last night he was just pulling,
you know, he had a seven, eight foot side jump shot
and Buddy Hill slipped under and paused.
And so he landed on Buddy Hill's ankle.
But I know the Plays Mesa song about, he's correct.
But last night wasn't one of those.
Y'all niggas, niggas be in the crazy shit.
Niggas be trying to act like they don't know
they sticking their foot underneath a nigga pause
when they shooting a jump shot.
Cause what they do is they'll put their leg under their
pause, pause is whole shit.
They'll put their leg under their and then turn they head.
So they try to act like it wasn't intentional.
That's the reason we stopped seeing Kowaz
for a couple of seasons,
because somebody on Golden State did that to him,
keep sliding under.
When he's shooting and then his ankle is hurt
for a year and a half or two years,
and then at least the load manager and everything else.
I do think that's viral,
and I'm not gonna accuse Buddy Hill of it,
but it do be looking like niggas just like,
let me see if I put my leg here, pause,
and turn my head so it don't look intentional.
That happens a lot.
Yeah, and they seem like they used to do that,
like acting like they challenging a shot
and boxing you out while you in the air.
You can't do that.
Like you got to give a shooter time to land on the floor.
And that's just weird for people to be doing that.
Okay.
And then the magic they'll move on to play the Celtics after
beating the Hawks 120 to 95.
So just in general, Mase, what did you think of this matchup?
Well, we told you that we weren't watching the game.
I'm glad that the home team won, you know, Florida is still in the house. It's just been like a Florida month.
I don't know if camp could fill it, but it's been a Florida month.
It is just been a Florida month and there's probably gonna be another Florida week and
I think we need to get used to it. How do you feel about that Florida week stat?
I mean, I read Florida all the time, but you back.
You back. I never left. OK.
All right. So let me finish, you know, stat got her head done.
She's not thinking about Florida. OK.
But when it comes to this game, we knew Trey was going to get his,
but I didn't think Atlanta had enough pieces to beat the magic right now.
The magic is a blue collared team.
You got Ben Carroll.
He's looking like he's trying to take this team and put it on his back pause.
But, and that's, and that's what it's going to be.
But all, all that's going to stop next, next, um, round.
They're out of there.
I don't think they even going to get like a game or two.
They might get swept.
OK, Cam.
Yeah, listen, I was out.
The game was on, but it was on mute.
I wasn't really paying attention to that.
Should be told the answer.
But what I will say is this, I'm being, and this is, I screenshot this
in the comments, Maze Jacksonville said they don't want you until you do the Jacksonville
World album or you get a Florida world tattoo. They said they don't really want, they don't care.
It's in the comments for you to read. So if you don't do the Florida world mix tape or get a Florida world tattoo,
they said they don't want you.
I screenshot all of them.
There's at least 52 comments saying that they don't really want you there.
If you're not going to do the Florida world mix tape and get the Florida world.
You say Florida, they don't really care about it.
Well, it came up with that.
That was a good one.
Florida where I mixed tape.
And the Florida world tattoo notice they don't, they don't want you claiming
that you know how you claiming that. That's what they said.
You know how you said, Killer? Bad.
I'm just telling you.
Yeah, remember that.
They said.
That's a question though. Hey.
Okay, so I know you guys said like the game was like, kind of watched it.
Can you watch it on mute?
But one of the things in this game, so Trey Young did have an ejection
basically for kind of like mocking the refs.
He threw the ball at one kind of kicked the ball at the other.
And people were kind of claiming it as a crash out.
So in your opinion, Mason going to let you go first.
What do you consider crashing out in basketball?
And then do you see that behavior even from Trey Young?
I mean, Trey Young already had 28.
He knows they're losing by a lot.
He knows they're not going to win.
It's almost like when the player gets hurt and he know they're about to be out of the
NCAAs or something like that person try to act like they hurt so they could make the storyline.
I got hurt. That's why we lost.
No Orlando came in and blew them out.
Pause. It was a blowout.
It was no way they were going to win.
He was just saving face.
You know, he was troller.
I look at it like Troller.
He knew they couldn't beat Orlando.
Orlando is on a mission, especially against a team like that.
They want to show that they're ready for the next step.
And I think they're going to get their chance with this next round.
OK, and Kim? Yeah, listen.
Yeah, listen, man.
Every time I looked at a little made a run
and when they got close, they was there probably
about 14 points.
They cut it to three, then I stopped looking, then I looked up again, they was there on
17.
They cut it to three in the third quarter and then they, Atlanta won another run.
Like I said, I wasn't even listening.
Every time I looked up, I seen that. Far as Trey Young getting, getting ejected,
listen man, you know, I don't agree with Mace a lot,
but he's right again today.
Niggas just trying to wow loud act like, yo,
I did something because y'all was gonna lose anyway.
It was a dub, y'all was gonna lose.
So I totally agree with that and make it seem like, nah, I'm passionate, I want to win. Y'all was gonna lose. So I totally agree with that, and make it seem like, nah, I'm passionate,
I want to win, y'all was already there.
Now what I will say to Atlanta's,
I don't wanna say credit, maybe this credit,
or disadvantage is the right word.
Clint Capello wasn't playing,
which is a key component for Atlanta Hawks,
and then Larry Nance Jr. wasn't playing.
If you don't have those two, it's going to be hard to beat Orlando.
We'll see what happens.
They got one more game to play.
So we'll see.
Yeah.
And if you let Cole Anthony get 26 off the bench, come on, Trey, you
got, you knew what was going on.
You let anybody get, come off the bench and get 25, 26.
That team is probably going to win is is just these type of things.
Whenever you get those kind of points or you get somebody
dominating the rebounds, you're probably going to lose.
Those are just secrets to wins the bench and rebound.
And then kind of just in general, I kind of want you guys' opinions on Trey Young.
Kind of where do you see his future going?
I think Trey Young, I think he got a promising future.
I think he could be a great asset on a better team.
I think it's time for Atlanta to really either surround him with the help that he needs or get him out of there
because he's wasting his talent.
Actually, he could be a premier player on a team that's that's playing for something and they really go somewhere
special if they want to just blow it up.
Send them. I mean, send them to Cleveland, you know, swap out somebody over there.
Garland, the one of them.
But I know they wouldn't do that.
But I'm saying he need to be on one of those teams that that could play to win
because he could really make a difference.
He could have one of those staff moments like shooting in that capacity.
But he got to be on a team that means something.
Yeah, I totally agree with that.
But at the end of the day, listen, Trey young had a promise and
not just Trey young, the little hooks.
They were poised to make a move in the East a couple of years ago when they
sent the Knicks home, uh, may have been three seasons now since that happened.
And it's just been going downhill for the Hawks ever since they tried to
get Murray over there last year. The Trey, Young, and Murray thing didn't work out. Now this
year they're looking very subpar. I don't know where the Hawks are going. They may make
some great points. Trey isn't going to be able to do it by himself. And I don't know
who they're going to get that want to come to Atlanta. You know, Atlanta is a nice city
and everything else, especially
if you like lemon, pepper, chicken wings, and strip club. You'll have a great time in
Atlanta. But who is going to want to play in Atlanta? That's just the next step. I don't
know. Mace made a great point. I don't know if they're going to deal. Trey, because he's
somebody that you're going to want to allow to,, because Trey's, let's get it straight,
you know, they put him on the,
he made the All-Star just for his Greek freak,
got hurt, but you know, you had three players
from Cleveland as they should be,
they played good this year, two players from the next,
it was hard because Atlanta wasn't winning,
but we know he's one of the best 24 players in the league. You're going to want some assets back for him. And I don't
know where anybody's willing to trade. The one thing I do think about all for Trey Young
and just moving on to the Atlanta Hawks is damn, how does the Atlanta Hawks feel? I'm
going to ask you this, Mace. How does the Atlanta Hawks feel on draft day? Yeah, for
Luca, they could have got Luca and not to Trey young.
What do you think the Lina Hawks look back and think about that right now today?
Um, I knew you was going there because every time I watched the Hawks, I think about that.
It's not just they, um, it's not just like they lost Luka, they gave him away.
Like they actually drafted him and said, no,
we'll give you Luka for Trey Young. That was the, that was the idea.
So you already had Luka sign, sealed and delivered.
And then you take Luka and you trade them for a smaller guard,
which made no sense because from the beginning, it seemed like of the NBA,
the guys, you just don't win a lot of championships with small guys.
I know you did it with
Isaiah Thomas and maybe a few other people, but normally small
guys don't win the championship.
So it was just a bad idea.
I know they was probably thinking about Spud Webb and and Mookie Blaylock
and all of the smaller guards that had great success in the NBA.
But it's nothing like having a six, six, six, seven point guard
that can get you a basket at any time.
I think they could have been a formidable opponent
and championship team with Luca in Atlanta, because not only is he
is he a good player, but he's also Caucasian.
And a lot of the fans in Atlanta, other than the hood niggas, is really Caucasian.
So it would it would even help the economy a lot much more than just
with Trey being there.
And I and I love Trey as a player.
OK, so now we're going to get into what I'll call the real elimination,
because tonight the Bulls will play the Heat.
Yes. Mace, what's your prediction?
Who do you see winning this game?
What's your prediction?
This is your Miami Heat.
Where's Triple J at?
Before we get into this, where's Triple J?
He's been not doing so well.
Is he still in the league?
Yes, he is.
He's like a fifth option right now.
Killa, you heard of Triple J?
Well, Stat told me about him.
I ain't hear about him this season. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. She didn't just threw Triple J. Well, stat told me about my hair.
About this season.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
She didn't just do triple J away.
It's not been a good season for him or the heat as a whole.
Oh my goodness.
Jimmy trade.
So how I'm feeling?
Yeah, I'm not feeling too hot.
I think the bulls are going to win, but that's my thought.
Mace, what do you think?
Oh man.
The heat, the heat, the heat pause.
Who are they playing against?
Chicago. Yeah.
I want to say they're going to win.
But then again, who knows if if the right arm,
if the right point guard comes out for Chicago, they are not going to win.
What's my boy name with the head?
I just be all while playing a point for.
Oh, yeah, Kobe White.
If Kobe White comes out and catch fire, they are not going to win that game.
I know Tyler Hero is, you know, the closest thing to a black guy
in a white guy's body pause.
But if Kobe White comes out and catch fire, they're going home.
And I don't want this for Miami, but I'm tired of like Miami losing Miami.
Got to get back to the place where they went in.
They're messing up my Florida week, but this might be the Florida week.
Stat. This might be the Florida week.
I know they're telling me I'm back in Florida to make the Florida
world album, but I'm in mixed state.
Or the tattoo.
Or the tattoo.
They said both.
Now they asking a lot.
They asking, see this is why you don't rap Florida. They asking a lot. You know what I'm saying? See, this is why you don't rep floor.
You're acting a lot.
Now you want the music and the tattoo.
I guess they say if it's real, put the tattoo on it.
You know?
I got a more screenshot.
I got at least 11, 12.
Yeah, I gotta see this.
I gotta see this.
You might be trolling me.
I, I, I, I, that's worth the blood.
I ain't make that up.
Cause I, I'll be honest with you.
You know, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a cluppin' nigga.
I'm very cluppin' and I'm fast on my feet,
but I didn't think of that one.
I'm kind of mad I didn't think of the Florida world.
The Florida world?
Tattoo or mixed tape.
Florida world is crazy.
Florida world is crazy.
But I like it.
I like it.
If they love it, I like it.
Yeah, listen.
Listen, you on the clock, you say watch.
Yeah, bet.
You on the clock. Do it for North Florida.
They said they ain't claiming you to a pro.
Do it for North Florida.
All right.
Remember that Rebalk Reigns?
Rebalk Reigns.
Remember that.
Robert E. Lee.
Remember that.
Jackson.
Okay, high schools. Yeah, remember that, Jackson. Okay, high schools.
Yeah, remember that.
What do you think?
What's your prediction for the day?
I don't know if we're walking range.
I have no idea.
That's real Jacksonville.
Okay, yeah, listen, Mason didn't go to high school
in Jacksonville, so I don't know
why he's even talking about that.
Actually a junior high school or middle school, which I'll call it.
I don't want to hear about no high schools because you didn't go to high school.
I did go to school.
I did for a semester.
I went to Robert E Lee Academy.
I was, I was a general.
I, I started varsity the first semester and then I left.
Listen, I went to the barrel, junior college for one semester,
a semester and a half actually kicked out the beginning of the second semester.
I didn't go there like that.
I should get kicked out.
How'd I get kicked out of school?
I had too much time on my hands to be totally honest with you.
I tore all the ligaments in my ankle from the shit.
Mates talking about flying everywhere and jumping all over, trying to dump on people.
I was very, very athletic, like I'm not like six, four, six, five, but I used to dunk
and do all types of stuff.
I jumped into all my ankle, all the ligaments in my ankle.
The first month I got to college, so I had to redshirt.
This is why I have so much of an attitude when niggas be redshirted and be getting 92
extra years after they redshirt because I actually hurt myself and redshirted.
And then they told me, you know,
you can use this as your redshirt year,
but you only got four years after this.
So that's why every time I go crazy about it,
it's close to the home for me.
It's personal.
It's different.
Yeah.
It's personal.
Yeah. And so I got hurt.
I had too much time on my hands and I wasn't
traveling with the team. And basically the Walmart that you guys know today in 1994,
95, it isn't the Walmart that's that's today. The Walmart that, and listen, you got to realize
it wasn't a Walmart in New York at this time. Walmart and Kmart didn't exist in New York,
or at least not till later on.
And Walmart, you could go in there
and get a bag of chips, a toothpaste, and a shotgun.
And that intrigued me, and I was buying guns in Texas.
And basically I got into altercation to where the gun was in fight, but it was
used and I don't want to promote that.
Like I was vile around but that's too much time on my hands.
Yeah, yeah.
And more of the story is you can go to Walmart and buy guns.
And I'm from New York.
We couldn't go in the store and buy guns.
It's like even West Coast, you know, they got them now and they're starting to pop up here and there.
But, you know, we're way behind when it's even on dispensaries, you know.
15, 20 years ago, when I used to go to L.A.
and just could walk in a store and buy weed, I used to just bug me out that you could do that.
You know, New York is made on a lot of different things.
And more of the story, I'll just say I had a lot of, I have a lot of, I have a lot of time on my
hands. I let people in the comments who went to school with me tell you about it, what
happened if they're in the comments. Cause I see a lot of people sometimes up in the
comments that I went to school with. I don't remember them like that, but shout out to
them.
That's actually pretty cool.
Texas, bro.
Texas, Texas, where I'm like.
Florida, where Texas, where Texas.
OK, so, Cam, your prediction for Bulls versus Heat.
We are watching this game.
Y'all the Floridians, y'all watching.
I don't give a fuck who won.
Be honest with you.
Some poor teams playing and just getting the playoff spot.
Like I said, I told niggas a couple of episodes ago that I like the, I like the
playing, I think that it, it gives team a little bit of incentive
to play harder towards the end of the year
instead of trying to tank and get a good draft pick.
But at the same time, I do like Macy's point
when we were talking about that,
when he said he didn't like it,
and niggas is just playing subpar
because they know they got a chance at the playing.
I'm going with Macy's point on this particular game.
I don't give a fuck.
Y'all the Floridians y'all have fun caring about what goes on in Miami this season.
And with the bulls same shit.
They've been just good enough to, uh, get to the play.
Are these, either one of these teams going to win a playoff series?
No, I don't care who wins.
Don't tell me who won. Let me know.
Who you think that I think the Bulls are going to win this game
because the this season, since we've played them, we've lost all three games.
So it's like.
There's really not much to expect.
It's unfortunate.
And ever since we got rid of Jimmy Butler and all these injuries and
their chemistry is off.
It hasn't been very fun being a Heat fan this season, I will say.
Where is high ground quiet in Chicago or?
Great question.
I think they're playing in Chicago.
If they're playing in Miami, they lose by a little bit.
If they're playing in Chicago.
Yeah, they're playing in Chicago.
Yeah, they're definitely going to lose.
Yeah.
Unfortunately, let me, let me say one thing.
So it's hard to be the team.
Or it's three times in the season.
Four times is a little bit harder than just keep being the team.
I don't know if these were convincing wins, like I'm sorry, I wasn't keeping up,
but just to know, uh, it's not that easy to keep being a team.
I remember we lost in the championship,
the game-makers always talking about,
I didn't pass the ball.
We beat the Brandeis twice that year.
We lost by one or two of that.
So it's not easy to keep consistently beating teams,
especially in the NBA.
So now let's get into our-
Yeah, we'll have a chance.
Yeah. So now let's get into our underdog picks.
Of course we know that here playing the bulls underdog has Josh Giddy
at 18 and a half points.
Do you have him higher or lower mace?
18 and a half points.
I don't know if he's getting higher than that now.
And I think underdog is kind of trying to trick me or something because
getting been getting busy pause this year, but I don't know if I got him higher than 18.
I like his turnaround though. He needed a new environment.
Okay. Kim.
Yeah, I think getting the ball in the end of this season,
he's been playing really good. I'm going to go higher.
I think he's carrying that momentum into this game.
Okay. Bam is at 34 and a half points, rebounds and assists.
Do you have him high or lower cam?
I'm gonna go slightly lower.
I think he'll be around 31 with everything.
They're gonna really need him
because he's the only one to meet on the heat
that's been consistent throughout the last few years.
I like Bam.
I think that even in Olympics, you know, Bam played really
good. He really impressed me. I don't want to sit here and get personal or anything like
that, but I'm going to attribute his improvement to his wife or his girlfriend. Because when
you got that type of talent in the house with you, you don't want your spouse to outdo you.
And Paul is in the profession that y'all both playing,
you gotta realize he's dating the best player in the WNBA,
which means that's probably the best female player
in the world.
And when you got that in the house,
you gotta get a little bit better just to let her know
who's running the house basketball-wise.
So I'm still gonna go lower,
but I think he'll be right underneath that.
Yeah, and I'm gonna going to go lower, but I think you'll be right underneath that. Hey, yeah.
I'm going to go lower as well, but I'm, I want to change that, that pick with arm
giddy, I think he's going to get higher.
I'm looking at his stats.
If he's what he's averaging when his rebounds and assists, he'll
definitely get like probably 20.
Okay.
And Tyler heroes at 30 and a half points in assists.
Do you have a higher or lower?
Mace?
Lower.
I am.
Yeah, man.
I just don't give him some real, real good,
good, good picks because
Tyler Hero, I can't trust you. You know, he may explode for his one game and then
he'll let you down.
The next is no real consistency with him from not from what I've been watching
when I do get a chance to watch.
I'm going to go low.
OK, make sure you download the underdog app and you can make your picks too.
So the Mavs versus the Kings who wins we will discuss after the break. I'm not a bad option. Maybe I'm on my own problem, babe.
She's out of here and I don't know.
My stubborn and me won't fall.
Oh, oh.
Killing with this thing called trust.
But she really thinking I want gonna be. Welcome back.
So tonight the Mavs versus the Kings, the loser will be eliminated from the
playoffs Mace, who do you think will win?
The Mavericks versus the Kings.
Yes.
Ah, man.
The Kings, the Kings are probably when they don't have that.
I mean, they don't have Kyrie. I'm going with I'm going with the Kings.
I will want the the Mavs to win.
But I just I just don't know.
It's the first time I feel like I don't know it because it depends on which
subonis shows up, it depends on if a lot of a lot of factors.
They got the pieces to beat the mass, but.
I don't know.
Cam.
It's another game I could care less about.
Obviously, this is how we get to the next round, man.
At the end of the day, I'm always going root
for home team with Shein,
but I don't want to see the Dallas Mavericks
without Kyrie Irving right now,
to be totally honest with you.
I think they got some decent pieces there
when Kyrie comes back.
I do want to salute Anthony Davis for showing back up because a lot of people saying he should
shut down and move on and so on and so forth but he toughed it out. He's back, he's been playing
really good since he's been back. But do I want to see the Dallas Mavericks with Anthony Davis leading the team?
I rarely, you know, I used to want to see that
when he was in New Orleans with the Pelicans
and then I did want to see him lead the team
when he was with the Lakers
because I knew that he had a good partner with LeBron.
But him leading the team,
and like I said, I'm not trying to shit on the match.
They got some decent pieces, but I don't really want to see them until next year.
Me personally.
And Mace made a good point the other day.
Sacramento ain't nothing but Chicago.
That last year or the year before last.
I seen this already with, uh, with the Rosen and, um, I'm drawing a blank with my life skin
nigga who be dunking all over the place.
Laveen.
Yeah.
Zach Laveen, Zach Laveen.
I've seen this already.
It's not going to work.
They work on the East coast.
So they're going to work, definitely going to work on the West coast.
I don't care.
I don't really care.
I'm ready for my, you're the one team to move to the next round so we can move on.
Yeah.
I think the most exciting part of this whole series is, is probably just Christie,
his son playing the dad, the dad coaches, the Kings and the son play for the,
the math.
So it's probably just the only real story.
The only storyline that you're interested in.
Yeah.
Okay.
So again, I know we don't care, but just, you know,
to document, you know, what you guys are saying,
do you guys feel like regardless of who wins this game,
basically the Grizzlies are gonna beat either team
after the fact?
Yeah, I mean, whoever wins this is gonna get smacked
by the Grizzlies.
Cause the last time the Grizzlies beat the Mavs, I think it was 97 or like 130.
So they beat them by 30 points.
I don't expect nothing different, you know?
So whoever win this is just winning to lose.
They went into lose against the Grizzlies.
And I want to be that straightforward.
I'm tired of, you know, playing with people.
Pause.
Okay.
Yeah, I'm not sure, to be totally honest with you, because it depends on how severe Jai
Morant's injury is.
We know he got back in the game and he finished the game and he didn't look that hurt, but
we don't know if he's going to be sore tomorrow and the day after when they have to play sore
and so forth. What I did notice though, when John was hurting, they had him like in the
little tunnel. I don't know what pills they gave him. He didn't want to be. I don't know
what you're allowed to take or anything when he popped a pill. And with other pills, Reggie
Miller was on the sideline like, yeah, they've given them some Advil.
Take away the pay.
I don't know if that's Advil, Reg.
You don't know a nigga popped a perk 30.
We have no idea what that was.
So, Javarim might have been out there hot.
We don't know if he's really hurt or not.
I mean, I can see.
So, I'm not going to say it's a foregoer conclusion that Memphis is going to beat either one of
these teams who win.
But if Jive's healthy, they should win.
But that's the thing about the playoffs.
You got to have an off night.
You got to have a real off night and the team that shouldn't win wins.
I was just saying that I wasn't best sold on Golden State
with the Memphis Grizzly game
because they just lost an important game
that they should have won the soccer,
pardon me, the San Antonio a week ago.
And I'm like, yo, they know their playoff life is on the line.
How you gonna lose to San Antonio?
And they did.
So anything can happen any night.
These games are really, really dangerous
in these one game eliminations
because the Grizzlies should be whoever those,
out of those teams who win.
It's not a foregone conclusion.
Yeah.
That's a really good point.
Cause when they said that he was taking Advil,
I'm like, I've never seen Advil work that quick.
Especially when he got back in the game immediately,
I was like, okay. But hey, it's, it's, it's Advil.
We'll go with that.
We don't need any more trouble.
No trouble for Jah.
We want him healthy.
We want to see a great game.
So that's what I'm going to say there.
And then Mace, just to clarify real quick.
Cause I think we-
Hold on real quick before we go on from that.
The thing about it is, see, that's the thing about it.
When we say shit, then we the bad guys
and we the fucking suckers or whatever,
putting that in the air.
The cameraman didn't have to go to that.
You understand?
They could have left it on the bench
or in the game or anything.
You gotta realize there's control room
with a bunch of cameras.
Whoever run the camera say, go to that, go to that.
He's popping a pill, put it on camera.
Yeah, they're like this.
That's who showed us this.
Camera three. Right, so that one.
Camera three.
Right, exactly.
So that when we see something
and then we make a speculation, we wow.
Stop showing niggas shit there.
We wasn't there seeing it personally.
I watched it from television.
He popped a pill. I don't know, Reggie Miller said, Reggie Miller wasn't there seeing it personally. I watched it from television. He popped a pill. I don't know Reggie Miller said,
Reggie Miller wasn't there neither. He was on the headphones.
That's what they was popping Reggie when you was playing. We don't know what they doing there.
Oh Lord.
You see when nigga, you see when Thugger was in court, the lawyer slipped him the pill, shot him.
see when thugger was in court, the lawyer slipped in the pills. Sean, the thugger got kicked off the case trying to slide these bills in court.
You don't know.
Maybe it was Advil.
At this point.
Possibly.
We'll go with that.
There wasn't no Advil.
They caught that joint.
They gave thugger.
Open your head.
I'ma keep it a hundred. I'm going to keep it a hundred.
I'm going to make a lawyer, G.
I don't even try some shit like that.
Need a lawyer.
Yeah.
They definitely build different out here.
And real quick,
I want to clarify, Mase,
because we had this conversation before.
Doug Christie is not Max Christie's dad.
Just saying last name because my bad.
Yeah, because it's like you hear the last name and I'm sure
that happens to him all the time. That is not his father.
You know, is that I'm giving the father and Doug Christie
doesn't need that kind of heat with his wife, you know,
thinking that's his kid.
But shout out to Brian Still.
He is definitely
the lawyer the year Brian still is the lawyer of the year.
Okay.
And last little debate, because I feel like now's the perfect time.
Now that the regular season is over, who is you guys' choice for MVP?
Mase first.
Why do we keep talking about this?
I think we know who's going to be MVP.
I think we know that SGA is going to be MVP, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jokic gets
MVP.
I mean, I think this is the year SGA gets it, but Jokic has been having a hell of a
year.
He's been getting 60, 20 and 20, 50, 10 and 12 is his triple doubles has been
like some astronomical numbers.
So shout out to SGA.
I think he'll, he'll, they'll give it to him this year.
It wouldn't make sense to just let Joker keep winning it, but he's definitely
putting up a case every year to be right then
and there.
And I think they're both having a phenomenal year.
And this is historical to have somebody that come in second and put up that kind of numbers.
So shout out to both of them, you know.
Okay, Cam.
I agree. I think I'm going with SGA only because the lead that Oklahoma City has on the Western
Conference. Like it wasn't even a race. They've been in the lead looking at everybody in the
rear view for a long time. But I don't know. I had a personal vote. I would, as much as I like to keep it black, man,
I would have to go with the Joker, man.
Listen, man, this shit he's doing,
he averaged a triple double.
I think this race has gotten closer as the season came to an end
because the Joker averaged a triple double this year.
Averaged a triple double.
You know, we've seen Russell Westbrook do it a few times,
and when he did it, it was amazing,
because nobody before him,
the last person before him to do it was Oscar Robinson.
But year after year after year,
the Joker just keeps the team of the improving.
His numbers this year are better
than any other year he won the MVP. What do you
have to say about that when you're voting? If you have a person who has a vote, listen,
how am I not getting MVP? Jamal Murray always hurt. I'm keeping us in the loop. At the end
of the day, we didn't have to get to the play and I know we just made it. I'm out here like Mase said, having 60, 20, 20s, 50s and 40s and everything. And my numbers are better than the years I got everything.
It's going to be really closer than what we think. I think it was a bigger gap a month ago from Shay
and the Joker, but the Joker definitely closed the gap.
Cause this last month of the regular season,
I think they're going to give it to SGA,
but I may think the Joker may deserve it a little bit more. Cause SGA don't get me wrong, he's a walking bucket,
but Joker's doing everything. We've seen the game before last,
the nigga had to fucking
had to fucking clipboard in the market,
drawing up the plays when the coach went out, bro.
Yeah.
The nigga was drawing the plays up, bro.
What the fuck you want else you want him to do?
I would vote for the Joker, but I do believe that's the answer.
Yeah, when he got that 31, 21 and 22, that's when I was like, nah, this is crazy.
This is crazy.
41, 10 and 9, 51, 12 and 13, 61, 10 and 12.
Come on now.
These, these, these triple doubles is like two different triple doubles
in the same game, it's crazy.
But SGA is still your vote.
But SGA is still your vote.
Yeah.
He's my vote just for me because of sympathy, honestly.
Because if you give it to Joker again,
it's like, come on, come on, my nigga, why y'all just keep give it to Joker again, it's like, come on.
Come on, my nigga. Why you just keep giving it to Joker?
They not knock a dude to be number one.
Like it because if they're not in them, if they're not in first place,
he doesn't get this award.
If they're if they're not in first place, he does not get this award.
That's my opinion.
But when it comes down to just who's dominated, that's what it means to me.
Or you could say MVP, the most important to their team.
I don't think SGA is more important to that team than Joker is to his team.
If his most valuable player, right.
He's not more, more valuable than Joker.
But, you know, they do this a lot.
You know, they start giving the guy, giving the award to a white guy a lot.
And people start saying, come on, man, a white guy getting this too much.
We got to give it to the black guy.
I understand it, you know.
I'm not laughing.
This happens a lot.
And then now the black people got to fight for it
to make sure that it is not just going in that way.
And I know this is not one of those cases,
but it feels like that.
OK.
OK, homey.
Yeah, like I want to say, I want to be clear on what I'm saying.
Because you asked who our vote is.
Yes.
I believe SGA is going to get it, but my vote is for the Joker.
Okay.
I just want to be clear on that.
But I do think, but me personally, if you're asking, if I had a vote who it would be for,
it would be for the Joker if you're asking.
Okay.
But I do think SGA is going to get it.
Yeah.
My vote would be with Joker too.
But because of the pressure of black people, I feel like I got to say SGA.
I'm just being honest.
Okay.
You guys clarified in different ways.
I feel pressured.
That the audience heard it.
So in the comments down below, y'all let us know who your vote would be.
But I'm voting for Joker, but I'm saying I do feel the pressure.
That yo, you don't think, that's how people DM you.
Yo, you don't think SGA should get it?
It's like, bro, you're not asking me a question.
You're trying to force my direction.
Well, they can't force your answer.
You believe what you believe,
just like Cam believes what he believes.
He's like, look, this makes sense,
but this is what it's gonna be.
So I just wanted it stamped.
That's why I asked.
Yeah, I'm going, I'm voting for Joker if I had to vote.
Okay.
As most valuable player.
Okay, there you guys have it.
In the comments down below,
let us know who you guys' pick would be
and also give us your predictions for the games
that nobody cares about, Even though I care.
That is all the time that we have for today.
Y'all thank y'all for watching.
And as always, we're going to give you the name Florida.
Well, he's claiming Florida and so, Hey, I'm a loyal fan.
That's what I will say.
Mrs. Florida worldudeworld.
Stat Baby, a.k.a. Mrs. Flaudeworld.
It is what it is. We'll see y'all next episode. Thanks for watching!
