Starting point is 00:00:54 playing today with code. It is what it is. I'm Treasure Wilson, aka Stat Baby, along with your host Mace and Cam. Murder, what up, man? Man, I can't call it, man. What's the deal? It's crazy. It's crazy out here, man. I don't know what it's going on, man.
Starting point is 00:01:14 It's been crazy out here, murder. Nah, it's real crazy, man. EBT is over. It's wild out here, killer. I think that's the craziest shit. I don't know to be honest with you. I don't know how they can do that to the hood, man. No EBT.
Starting point is 00:01:38 It's part of Trump shit. I like Trump, though. I don't know, man. You fuck with Trump? I did like Trump until the EBT, the EBT. I got to really think about that. I got a problem with that, too. There's a lot of people I know affected by that.
Starting point is 00:01:54 Who? Shalisa. Tijuana I'm going to say Who you know personally You still speak that up Yeah I can get in the bill Then if I needed to buzz the bell
Starting point is 00:02:15 They'll let me up You know Let me ask you a question right So like I mean I like Trump Because Because back in the days We went to parties together
Starting point is 00:02:27 Not not like them kind of parties But Regular parties. Now, I understand. Now, Trump, before Trump became president, niggas used to be with Trump, and then when he became president, it turned to something.
Starting point is 00:02:38 I don't like getting political. I don't even really want to get into this. But I want to ask you a question. So, yeah, not the politics. No, yeah, I don't want to get into the politics. But I like Trump outside of politics, and I'm not saying I don't like them in politics. I just don't have them ping it.
Starting point is 00:02:52 But I do want to ask you a question about the EBT situation. Yeah. If somebody on Sunday morning comes and see you and say that they've been going through. something because of the EBT. Are you going to help out? Oh, yeah, I would help out. What's the limit if it's like, let's say it's 50 families affected?
Starting point is 00:03:10 If there's 50 families, I probably would try to help all 50, but I would have to ask my wife first. What's the budget? My wife would, I'll have to ask so I can't spend her money. Okay, got you. Just curious. That's a good one. That's why I just stopped.
Starting point is 00:03:28 That way good. I don't know what just stock this is going to go on. Yeah, you can't spend the mission money. Okay, got you, got you. Okay, so we have a lot to talk about because there is a lot of crazy and I don't want to be the person
Starting point is 00:03:42 to add to the crazy, but I want to set the record straight before this season continues and stuff. So you guys know very, I've always got things put together. So I wanted to show you guys this and you guys can read it out to them. Here you go.
Starting point is 00:03:57 If this is a transport portal paper, I don't want to see it. Wait, I need to stamp this now. We're walking to put with dogs throughout the season if I make certain comments, okay? Oh, my goodness. I just wanted to be clear, so everybody understands where I stand.
Starting point is 00:04:11 This is the official NBA bandwagon transferable form. You definitely got a sentence to wallow. Wallow need this form. And you too. What are you talking about it? Where do you think I learned this from? Town Summer School.
Starting point is 00:04:30 I learned it from you. I've seen that. People said title sales summer school were too far. The last team you were a fan of, Miami Heat. This is the first time bandwagon. Yes. This is crazy. Where did you get this?
Starting point is 00:04:46 This is crazy. So the sheet says, like Mace says, named Treasure Wilson, age 24, date of birth. Last team you were a fan of Miami Heat, parentheses still. It's this is the first time bandwagoning. And if so, how long? She didn't say how long.
Starting point is 00:05:02 She just says yes. Miami Heat bandwagon history. Miami Heat my whole life. We're still back though. Yeah, and how long do you plan on staying? One season, A, B, duration of players' contract is crazy. It says until Curry. It says the answer to that question is until Curry retires.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Yeah, that's wow. Backup team in case emergency. See, how is the backup team the heat? They're never going to be the backup team, but I'm just making it clear. I am a heat fan, but I am the Warriors. I'm going to show, I'm going to get this to Nick so Nick is on the page. Yeah, yeah, yeah, man. I just wanted to set the record straight because a lot of people were confused.
Starting point is 00:05:50 I'm more, I'm more mad that it's an NBA logo up here. And you know, Kim, you missed something at the bottom. She misspelled her own name in script. She don't know how to write in script. Yes, I do. Sin would be happy about this because sin, this is a real, this is a signature. She's missing the L.
Starting point is 00:06:09 No, I am not. Yeah, isn't L. It's missing L. How are you going to tell me how to find my name? No, I'm saying is, I don't write my name on my script, my signature. Since I don't write my name and say, we had a whole convent about this on Tocry fleet, about my signature is just something. you know and sin is mad that you don't write your whole name out your signature mace you
Starting point is 00:06:33 do you when you write your signature do you see every letter in your name just about no you just kind of see the m that's it yeah that's just me too but soon it would be proud of this no name no but it's no l yes it is the l is there that's how i do my signature look everybody put this on on screen we'll give it to next so he can put it up there's no way that's the L at the bottom. It isn't L. There's W-I-S-O. You don't know how to spell your name.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Yes, I do. They don't have to know the exact way to do my signature because the people don't need to know how to do that. Okay, yeah, you're right. So yes. There's a lot of scamming going on these days. And that brings us to our next topic. I don't want to be in part of that.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Well, we got to get you guys' opinion because it's a lot. So let's start. So breaking news, everybody. So Blazers head coach Chauncy Billups and heat guard Terry Rozier and former NBA player Damon Jones were arrested for gambling investigations. Rozier and Billups went in for two federal mafia-linked gambling-related
Starting point is 00:07:34 investigations, one centered on the use of insider information to place bets on various NBA games, and in another alleged scheme, prosecutors say poker games were rigged using technology such as chip tray analyzers and an x-ray table that could read cards face down on the table.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Billups and Rosier have both been released from federal custody, under certain and circumstances, and the NBA has placed Rozier and Billups on leave. A lot to impact there, but May is going to let you go first. What are your initial thoughts when you heard this news? My initial thoughts when I heard this is that this might be the last nine months have been the most snitching I ever heard of. This might be the most snitching I've ever seen in life.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Um, I don't know. When did New Jack City come out, Cam? 91. 91. Yeah. And, um, when did Sammy the ball go? Because I'm telling you, the snitch report. Shout to my guy.
Starting point is 00:08:45 You know what I'm saying? The snitch report has made it all away. Who's snitching? To the NBA. Who's snitching? Everybody's snitching. I'm talking about in this, I know what you're talking about, but in this, in this case, you know snitching.
Starting point is 00:09:01 I don't know nobody's not snitching. Every time. The last 12 months might be the most snitching I ever seen, man. I saw something today. I saw a rapper snitch today. It brought me to tears. I can't believe no gangster rap. I can't
Starting point is 00:09:25 I can't even listen to it that's part of why I want to put no music out I can't listen the gangster rap no more I don't believe none of it and then with this situation You'll find any reason not to put no music out man
Starting point is 00:09:39 The snitching has made it to the NBA Who would ever thunk Who would ever think that You know I know thunk is not a word Who would ever thought snitching would make it to the NBA I mean for crimes. This is crazy.
Starting point is 00:09:59 Who's snitched in this case, though? I'm just asking, do they say who's telling us that? Everybody's telling. There are different pieces, though, that I can't say nobody's snitching, but people are going in, they're walking out soon as they get in. I can't throw away my brain. I can't throw away my brain. There's too many people throwing away.
Starting point is 00:10:23 somebody got, you know, somebody got arrested a few months ago and then everybody get arrested this week. It's just, it's a lot. It's a lot to unpack pause. I can't say nobody snitching you, but it just feels like everybody's snitch. It seemed like, I mean, somebody's telling. Yeah. You know, you're going to find that out.
Starting point is 00:10:44 Somebody had a two-page paper. Yeah. Do the mall. You know how that should go? The way that should go is, look, can we talk to you because this was about to happen? Yeah. Everybody, save yourself now before we go and sweep everybody up. Because if you, uh, if you get, if you get yourself out of trouble now, it won't be as bad.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Yeah. As when we go getting that, that's what you're like. Because later, I won't be able to help you. Exactly. Later, I won't be able to help you. That's definitely the conversation. And pause, we don't want you. We really want this guy, Paul, and they, and they're just giving people to run down.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Yeah. Stad, this is interesting. It isn't. This is the most snitching I've seen since New Jack City. That was in 91. So we're 34 years removed from a show, from a movie. And this is crazy. It's going to definitely have a damper on the NBA.
Starting point is 00:11:42 And they did it on the first day. So it's kind of like it was planned. It was definitely planned. And they already had who they wanted. This is crazy. What did you think, killer? There's a few things about this that I think, you know, first of all, it lets you know the mafia is alive and running.
Starting point is 00:12:02 He's still out here, you know. Sometimes when you don't got flashy niggins in the mob like John God, you make like, yo, because the FBI and the police would be like, yo, the mob is dead, and this thing, and the third now, they said to Genevici, the Banana, Lucchese, and Gambino's is still out here moving in the shadows. So shout to them niggins, because they still shake. shit up. That's first and foremost. But I'm really surprised.
Starting point is 00:12:27 You know, speculation about Terry Rozier. We've seen a game where he checked himself out because his foot was hurting. And I think it was an over 10 points and he checked itself out with nine points. I don't remember exactly, but I know it's been a lot of speculation. Did you see them passes he was throwing? Did you see the video? Nah, didn't. They got a whole Terry Rozier compilation of him throwing bad pass, losing the ball, giving the ball,
Starting point is 00:12:53 paused to somebody else. It made it look really bad. It said, just play this for the courts. Yeah, I didn't see that. But I know it's been speculation on Terry Rozier, but, you know, it's really, to me, I'm very, very surprised about Charcy Billups, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:13:10 Because Charcy Billups has a clean cut image, you know what I'm saying? Even in the NBA, never really had too many problems, true point guard, pistons, even though he's from Denver. Once he builds clean cut, then he gets the job at Portland. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Like I said, I really don't know. I'm more confused about they're saying these poker games and then they're saying gambling on the NBA. It seems like it's two different things. But what they're doing is announcing it at the same time to make it messy, like we got a bunch of shit going on. But you've got to separate one from the other. It's one thing when you're betting on games that you're a part of
Starting point is 00:13:52 as opposed to poker, you know. So to me, Charcy Billups, I don't know how that works. I don't gamble outside of Underdog, but what I'm trying to say is that if you're gambling on poker, like I said, I don't know how it works.
Starting point is 00:14:06 At least you're not gambling on the team or the sport that you're playing with. I'm not saying, you're going to get this job back. Now what? You go ahead. I'm going to talk after you.
Starting point is 00:14:19 I'm not saying Charleston, you're going to get his job back. But, you know, what Terry Rose is doing is like Pete Rose shit or what Homeboy Beasley just went through or anybody like Michael Porter Jr. brother. When you gambling on a sport... That's your plan. That's your playing.
Starting point is 00:14:35 That's different from poker. Now, as far as the poker shit is concerned, I guess that has more information or it'll come out later or whatever the case is. But I don't think poker is as bad as gambling on what you're playing. It's no highlight real of Chauncey Billop throwing bad passes and giving the ball away. missing layups and taking itself out the game.
Starting point is 00:14:54 But I don't know. I have no idea, man. It's very shocking. I'll tell you that much. Yeah, so there's even more things. We're going to go to the alleged Damon Jones thing. So they were saying he was selling non-public information about a Lakers player to conspirators that led to a $100,000 bet against the team during a January 15, 24 game against OKC was also alleged he sold information on a prominent player's injury to sports betters while he was an unofficial
Starting point is 00:15:21 assistant coach for the Lakers in February 2023 and a lot of the people are citing that that person was LeBron James. So after hearing that what? How do you think this kind of thing affects the NBA, Mason? This is now is getting crazy. I know a lot of times we joke and play around about LeBron but I couldn't see LeBron being a part of this
Starting point is 00:15:47 but when you think of ignorance, that that I got to watch my words here but and not not that I have to watch him like I'm scared but when you think of a situation like this I can only think about if you're you're a cop you want to arrest somebody do you want to handcuff Damon Jones or you want to handcuff LeBron that's that's what it feels like to me like you just want to put it on the biggest name because that would be the person that makes the most headlines and make it really get crazy. The people who always have the most to lose are normally the weakest in cases like this. So that's where they place their pressure at. But I just hope that's
Starting point is 00:16:31 not true. Just like I hope the rest of it is not true. We're talking about it because we have to, but I hope all of this is not true because if this makes it through the NBA, it could really change the NBA as we know it. Because everything right now is funded by bed and companies. And when killer talk about the mob, just because you don't see the dollar breakfast in Vegas no more, it doesn't mean they're not out here. So that's something to think about. You know that's that?
Starting point is 00:17:03 Dollar breakfast? Yeah, when the mob was running Vegas, it was before your time. It would be dollar breakfast. Vegas was different. You know, now you got all of the corporate people in Vegas, so it's kind of different. But I remember.
Starting point is 00:17:18 Staking eggs, baby. Yeah, I remember I shot my video out here. The breakfast was a dollar. Yeah. Well, your video was out on Fremont? Yeah. Yeah, that's like, and I was like, yeah, I'm from out here. From?
Starting point is 00:17:32 Okay. Oh, I'll just leave that cheap. They still do cheap steak and eggs. I never had it before, but they definitely have like, it's like $8.99 steak Yeah, but I just hope they don't get LaBrona this. That would be too ridiculous. What are you saying exactly about this? What does LeBron have to do with this?
Starting point is 00:17:51 Yeah, so basically they were saying it was alleged that Damon Jones was sharing injury reports about LeBron James that were not released to betters. So LeBron has nothing to do with it, but that's the prominent player that they were speaking up. But you know when people hear LeBron, it's like, there's nothing to do with that. You have to listen to what people are writing and saying, because you hear LeBron now, you're like, wait a man, LeBron's gambling? What's going on?
Starting point is 00:18:15 Nah, Damon Jones played on his team and knew if the nigger was hurt or not, basically. and was giving that information out like, yo, they're wrapping LeBron ankle up. It don't look like he's going to be good tonight. That's what's going on before people confuse. Yeah, bet your money on the caval is. Before people confused that LeBron's involved with gambling.
Starting point is 00:18:34 Let's make sure we're paying attention to what's read and what said and before people have just jumped to conclusions and make it seem like that. I don't know. Like, Damon Jones, I don't really know how much he made throughout the course of his career. He's a role player.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Telly Rosea could have been a star. He's a role player. I know one thing. I don't know how much enough's enough or how much niggas is getting or what's the case. Because I don't know if you're trying to look out for your homeboys or what the situation is this.
Starting point is 00:19:01 But you have to realize this. I'm just saying, Charcy Billups over the course of his career. It's about if you're saving or not saving, I'm not sure. This year as a coach, he was going to earn near $5 million this season as a coach. Over the course of his NBA career,
Starting point is 00:19:16 he made over $106 million. $2,000. Terry Rozier, this season right in here alone, it's going to make $26 million, or was going to make $26 million with the Miami Heat. How much money do y'all need? What kind of lifestyle, y'all knick is living? I don't really get it. And if it's for your homeboys, okay, for instance, right? I don't know. I didn't do the due diligence or how much Terry Rozier made over the course of his career.
Starting point is 00:19:42 But this year alone, he was stood to make $26 million. Now, if it's for your friends or family or loved ones or something like that, saying, yo, you can make $20,000 a night. You can make $40,000 a night. Look, $26 million is more than enough to say, look, here go $200,000 for everybody. Figure it out. Yeah, you all figure it out. Yeah, if y'all want to gamble and do all that.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Here you go money, y'all go figure it out. Don't ask me how much I'm going to have tonight. Don't ask me to turn the ball over. Don't ask me none of that. Figure it out. $200,000. Timmy, Uncle Richie, tell your daughter don't call me, I gave you 40 for the family. Look, take care of all that with the $250, $400, $400,000, if you want.
Starting point is 00:20:27 But I can't be involved with helping you get $22,000, and I have to do four things wrong in the middle of the game. I just don't understand how much he was, you know, when they say tens of million dollars over the years, they say hundreds of million dollars, the FBI director said. How much was Terry Rosea scheduled to make with his friends or family or whoever was back? It couldn't have been $26 million. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:52 Because that's what you're getting this season. Now, we know it's taxes of work. His career earnings is $161 million. Look at that. So Terry Rosea is $161 million career earnings. It hasn't been good in a very long time. You're stealing money. I'm not going to say you've Ben Simmons,
Starting point is 00:21:08 but you're definitely stealing money. $26 million this year for you is very good. How much money do niggas need to motherfuckers stop cheating or help your family out? I think you made more than enough to say, look, if y'all don't want to fuck with me after this, just don't fuck with me. I got a bunch of family I don't speak to. No disrespect to the family, but y'all was asking for too much when I ain't have it. And then they said I was a sucker.
Starting point is 00:21:33 So now when I got it, I'm still going to say a stupor. Whatever, blood-related than not. I got more family that's not blood-related than family. So whatever. I just don't know how much is enough's enough. Yeah, this is crazy. If you're making that kind of money, this is where they say people are just ignorant.
Starting point is 00:21:54 Like, if you're making that kind of money and you're still trying to get the little bit of money and you're making the big money, it's like crazy. It's almost like the guy who takes his practice check from the NFL and want to hustle with it. It just makes no sense. or like when you think of just with this situation, like this is when your mother or your parents tell you,
Starting point is 00:22:22 you got to lead them people alone. This is probably that group that we're talking about, that they just didn't leave alone. They took them along for the ride. And you know how people tell you, oh, that guy's going to bring you down. This is probably that guy that brought them down. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:37 You know, they always say money is the root of all evils. I ain't jacking that. I'm not jacking that line me and murder wasn't speaking but I heard him one time say that money's not the root of all evil the lack of money is the root of all evil I actually miss this footage of murder out there saying that
Starting point is 00:22:58 and you know he wasn't speaking I agree with him verbat of murder said money is not the root of all evil the lack of money is the root of all evil why would a man go in the check cash store check cash in place store with a stocking on his face in the pistol talking about
Starting point is 00:23:16 give me the money. You saw that sermon killer? Yeah, that's one of my favorites. The nigger said, it's the lack of money. He said, who would put a stocking
Starting point is 00:23:25 on their face? And run inside the check cash store. Yeah, that was a class. He said, that's the lack of money. That's the root of all evil. He said, that same sermon, he said,
Starting point is 00:23:40 nigga telling me he got a two-bedroom for $325 I would say you know what come with that outside I'm saying you know no two-bedroom for $325
Starting point is 00:23:58 you know what kind of mess come with that outside I'm saying He said, you know, that I was one of my favorites because I had to concur. Whatever you said that particular time. Oh, man. That was crazy.
Starting point is 00:24:20 Yeah, man. Two-bedroom for 325 is. Wow. Let me ask you, Statt. When you first started this show right now, do you think it's the lack of money you had? Or has the money made the root of all even with you, with your friends and everything?
Starting point is 00:24:38 you think. I don't think, well, I stand by the quote, money is the root of all evil, but I would preface for the love of money is the root of all evil, because I don't think that you should ever have so much trust in all of your love to monetary values. And I feel like I've stood by that from the jump, which is why, because I mean, shoot, y'all are the ones who told me, like, volunteering. Like, there's always a budget for something. So I take those pieces of advice because that is true things.
Starting point is 00:25:03 And I think you should always get your check. No. I don't get what she's. I like her opinion. No, like, that's what I'm saying. Like, you guys... She don't know a crackhead murder. This is what I'm trying to tell you.
Starting point is 00:25:14 Like, her opinion is different. Yeah, it's different perspective. Yeah, that's why I went to a little bit of a crack hat. I've met one because of Sugar Dug, but I do know one because he doesn't put me up to the street and how to make it come up to the door. He's like, hey, here you go. He's like, this is stat. And he's like, hey. And I'm like, hi.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Yeah. He's like, he's this family. I was like, okay. You don't know a cracket. I mean, I do now. He died, though. God bless the day. He did?
Starting point is 00:25:41 Yeah, he passed away. Yeah. West and peace. Esau had the bars, too. Yeah, he had bars too. Yeah. Man, it's been a wild 12 months, man. But, yeah, I just wanted to know, like you said,
Starting point is 00:25:57 we all have a different perspective. I had to agree with murder. It was more you said that day, but I can't remember it. I wish I could remember everything you said that day because you said a lot. But yeah, the stocking over the face. You know that used to be people with mass stat before push-a-stead.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Before the ski mask. Before your diggas would take lady stock and put it over their face and they face be smushed them. So, like, snap against the face. Yeah, so you could not dee the face. Yeah. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:26:27 Yeah. And where is y'all getting the stockings? They said, y'all. I mean, I don't know. I don't know. But I don't know, a lot of you going on. But I was just asking, they take it the stockings? They were like, they know somebody, you know, like, you have to buy them.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Like, people used to rob banks and stuff with stockings on their face. But that's what I'm saying, to rob a bank, but then to go in the store and buy stockings, that's a little backwards to me. Because at that point, you might as well steal the stockings, too. Maybe they did steal the stockings. I don't know. Maybe. Maybe they took their grandmother's stockings. Who knows?
Starting point is 00:27:02 Not even worse. She probably, like, where my stockings at? People used to take their mumper and grandma in her. for stockings to get waves for du rags. When you have no du rag, you should use a stocking cap. Yeah, y'all, not y'all. Some people have lived a life. I did that one, though.
Starting point is 00:27:18 I did take my grandma's stockings and make a stocking cap for waves. How'd the waves work out? They work out good. That's all that matters. They work. Shout out to you. But yeah, Dave and Jones is one of the 34 people arrested,
Starting point is 00:27:32 and then now we're going to take it to Gilbert Arenas because he had some input. How many people arrested? 34 people arrested? That's a lot. And this is still like ongoing. That's why I'm saying alleged. We're breaking through what's kind of happening.
Starting point is 00:27:46 So I'm trying to break it down as best as possible. So Gilbert Arenas posted a picture of himself with a brown bag saying informant lunch with the caption. Got that informant lunch special this morning. Hashtag Agent Zero. So we know that he had a case earlier in this year. Similarish situation. So Mace, what do you think of him putting in his two cents? I mean, I think he's making fun of it.
Starting point is 00:28:12 But, you know, I don't know. I don't know Gilbert Arenas like that to say he did anything. But I can say whoever was the smartest one, they went first. Whoever talk first is the one who's going to get the deal, is the one who's going to get the immunity. Because when you think about 34 people being arrested, arrest it, it's almost impossible that nobody's going to talk. If it's 34 people, you know a lot of people are going to jail. So the person that went first is the person going to get the immunity.
Starting point is 00:28:48 So they better get the talking. I think Gil trolling, man. Gil likes the troll. I fuck with Gil. That's my nigga. And I hope he's not under the snitching. Like May said, it's been crazy the last 12 months. But seriously, I think he likes to troll.
Starting point is 00:29:04 And I think if he really was telling him. but he wouldn't be on Instagram bragging about telling. I think he thinks that he's making light of the situation. Some people find it funny. Some people don't. I fuck with Gil. I like his content. But you got to realize in the podcast, sports space,
Starting point is 00:29:21 Gill is top of the food chain as well. You know, that niggins and his show and everything else. If he's not number one, he's damn near number one through three, one of the other, because his ratings, his numbers, everything says different. when it's not so different says that he's at the top of the food chain when it comes to sports podcasting so i think he knows what he's doing i think he knows what gets attention i think he know what's going to draw content i mean not content draw people to his content but if he really
Starting point is 00:29:52 was telling i think gilbert arenas would not be on social media or the internet bragging about telling i hope not anyway yeah and then real quick back to the snitching conversation I think this also is a bigger. That's just the season we're in, though. Like the generation we're in now, they brag about snitching. I'm not saying that Gil is doing this, but that's the generation we're in. It's like, yo, I had to tell on them, niggins. So that's why I was going to ask you, do you feel like it's a Gen X, millennial, or Gen Z problem?
Starting point is 00:30:24 I don't know the difference. Okay, so Gen X is 1965 to 1980. Millennials are 1981 to 1996, and then it. Gen Z is 1997 to 2012? It's definitely a Gen Z. It's definitely a Gen Z. Gen X, Gen X, Gen Z. I think niggas always been snitching,
Starting point is 00:30:50 but now it's just like whatever. Like niggas used to hide. When you snitch, they have to move and go away and go somewhere else and couldn't come around. Now nigginsching me like, yo, I had to do what I had to do, whatever. I don't think that people hide about it like. Yeah, they used to have to go to Albuquerque. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:31:10 It used to have to be moving around. And it would be a big deal if you see him. You're like, hold that nigger back over here. Nigger snitch and come home and give a nigga a five. Okay, well, I actually have a follow-up question before you go to break because you're kind of the perfect person to ask about this camp. So you know that there's that special interview of you on CNN60, minutes and they asked you about snitching you said if I knew the serial killer was living
Starting point is 00:31:37 next to me I wouldn't call and tell nobody on them but I probably move but I'm not putting the signs up that goes viral all the time even to this day just curious what like led to that conversation and then like how do you feel about the hair that you had it was a whole thing about no snitching and what 60 minutes did was edit out a lot of shit that I said and this is a good time to talk about that because we're just talking First of all, but you have to realize and what I said that they edited out was this, is that because you snitch on somebody
Starting point is 00:32:10 doesn't mean you get a conviction. So let's say that you live in an urban environment and, for instance, right, let's say you're part of a drug ring or whatever or murder case or whatever. And we all live in the same environment. And I go to court, and I go to court and me and the same neighbor.
Starting point is 00:32:29 I'm just giving an example. I go to court and I snitch. Because I snitch on, that doesn't mean he's getting convicted. So now if he gets off, you gotta come home to that same environment and look this nigga in the face every day. So therefore now you, not just the whole neighborhood is looking at you like, nah, this nigga, tell, get away from him, and now you have to live there thinking about that.
Starting point is 00:32:53 That's first and foremost, because just because, and that's what I said, 60 minutes that they cut out. Just because you tell doesn't mean the person, you tell on is going to jail. It doesn't mean you tell they get convicted. You have no idea and then you go back home to that environment and now you're outcast
Starting point is 00:33:12 for telling. That's first and foremost. Secondly, what I said that they didn't put up is that cops have the blue shield where they don't tell on each other. So now if a cop does some foul shit. That's a good point. Right. Now if a cop does some foul shit to a citizen
Starting point is 00:33:27 and his partner's there and his partner doesn't stop it or his partner doesn't say report it, and then now, if he tells on his partner, he's a snitch for telling on his partner. It's called the blue shield, the blue wall, whatever shit they call it, and they didn't put that on 60 minutes. So you got cops doing foul shit to people,
Starting point is 00:33:46 and they're not allowed to tell on their partner or their coworker or so on and so forth. So therefore, they'll be snitches if they tell them their coworker. And that's part of the stuff that I talked about on 60 minutes, they edit out. They try to make me look like I'm crazy, and I'm high and all this shit, which I was high,
Starting point is 00:34:04 but I knew what the fuck I was talking about. But that's the case also. Cops don't snitch or another cops. So you want a citizen to go snitch, and then they may snitch and got to live in the same society as somebody who gets off. So as far as the clip on 60 Minutes is concerned, they cut a lot of shit out.
Starting point is 00:34:22 That's interesting. And now, I'm happy you got to clear that up. That's a great take. And then, Cam, before we go to break, do you have any advice to the younger generation since we just made this basically like a learning opportunity at the same time. I think when Mesa was great. Here you guys have to be.
Starting point is 00:34:38 Learned stuff up here that college definitely couldn't teach me. So y'all, we're going to go to break. When we return, we will discuss James Hardin and then the other Thursday night NBA games don't go anywhere. maybe i'm my own problem big she's tired of hearing i don't know my stubborn in me won't fall oh oh dealing with this thing called trust but she really thinking about she want to be free welcome back now let's get into our underdog picks of the day so tonight the spurs will
Starting point is 00:35:26 play the pelicans underdog has wed me in 26 and a half points you have him higher mace i'm going high the way he played in the opening game i i can't see him like um going going down further than what he did hey oh it's crazy he's trailed as he kept going definitely higher man you see my man when me to be back spurs we look good man we look real good man I don't, the niggum,
Starting point is 00:36:01 mad our opening night look better than his opening night. Yeah, whatever. And Deeran Fox. That was crazy too, but.
Starting point is 00:36:10 Yeah, I hear you, my nigga. Deeran Fox didn't even play higher, bro. Okay. Zion is at 25 and a half points
Starting point is 00:36:18 to him higher. He can't be trusted. It's skinny Zion. Yeah, I don't know what I'm getting. Poor is John Morant looked like he was giving it pause to Zion the other night.
Starting point is 00:36:29 I'm going lower. I'm going to take a page out of his bug. You know, he could. He is possible he can, but I'm not sure. So I'm going to go, I'm going to go pause lower. Okay. And Jordan Poole is at 16 and a half points. Do I'm higher lower Mason?
Starting point is 00:36:49 I'm going higher. Jordan Poole got to show up. He has to show up in his game, especially. I'm going against those young guards with Harper. and um cast so he definitely got to show up so i'm gonna go higher i'm gonna go higher too i think jordan pool and he's you know i was talking to sin about this i didn't like him and with the wizards and not because he couldn't play i didn't like his pouting you know what i'm saying you know you come don't get the wrong you come from a championship team you get points in the face
Starting point is 00:37:17 then you go to the worst team in the NBA this is a bad couple years you know what i'm saying so you're sitting there pouting and everything else but you should have took the opportunity to do what Bradley Bill did. As the Wizards was, Bradley Bill showed up every night, ended up getting that chicken, and that's why Bradley Bill became the all-star that he was because John War was hurt a lot. But I think when Jordan pulls around some decent players,
Starting point is 00:37:39 that's when he plays well as good as plays very well as well. So I'm going to go higher. I will just say, if I was on a championship caliber team, then I got punched in the face and moved to the Wizards, I would probably be pouting too, so I understand that. But I also understand your perspective, but I definitely want to add that in there
Starting point is 00:37:56 because I'm like, it's kind of valid. Yeah, this is the time to show that, nigga, I ain't need stuff. I ain't need them, you know, he got a lot of his light when stuff was hurt. That's what, I had the inkma and clay was hurt. But this was your time to say, nigga, I can do this by myself, not saying that they would win games. But at the end of the day, you got to be a professional. I think he didn't show a lot of professionalism with the Wizards.
Starting point is 00:38:19 Just my opinion. Oh, that's great. Make sure you out down on the Underdog app, and you can make your picks too. So we got a quote from Kendrick Perkins. So when James Hardin got traded to the Rockets, Kendrick Perkins alleges LeBron James was part of that influence by persuading him to get his own team. He said they fucking knew before the tweets came out when James left.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Katie came back. They were all at the Olympics. They had just won gold. James was there. Katie was there. Russ was there. We went into training camp and Katie was like, we're going to lose James.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Braun, D. Wade, all of them were telling him that he needs his own team. Then all of a sudden, the contract negotiations started. He went to holler at James and he goes, I want the Max, I want to be the franchise guy. So just hearing that conversation that was... He asked for the Macs at, okay, see? That's what... I will have to double check that.
Starting point is 00:39:07 But he said that was right after the Olympics. Basically, I've seen this clip. Basically, what happened is just so you can answer the question correctly. Kendrick Persons is basically in a nutshell, Paul is saying, LeBron Gaston the Leaf. That's basically what everything is. things she just said equals to. So what's your take from that?
Starting point is 00:39:28 Yeah, I can see that. I mean, definitely Brown want to break up this team because they had just played them, you know, played against them in the finals. And even though they beat them, they know these guys will be back next year. So, you know, divide and conquer is always the way that they use to separate anybody great. So I could see that happening. And I think James Harden, looking back, he doesn't regret it.
Starting point is 00:39:55 I wouldn't regret it. He went on to Houston, end up having a phenomenal career, hopefully he get a ring. But I wouldn't regret it. He's made a lot of money, turned into a superstar, had a very lucrative deal with Adidas. So he did a lot of great things. Yeah, that just sounds like if I could make this happen, I can make this happen. That's some shit. That's some shit I can see me a murder doing.
Starting point is 00:40:24 You put the battery in his back. Yo. Yeah, you know you better than niggas, right? I'm just saying, I'm not, I ain't saying that you ain't good on that team, but you really don't need niggas like that. And they were young. Y'all, think about this like May said, you just came. They lost to them in the championship, but this one, James Hart was coming off the bench.
Starting point is 00:40:46 He is a six man. And that's an easy battle. When you're as good as James Harton, you need your own team. You're as easy. When you're as good as James Harton and you're not starting, batteries, wow, easy. You're not even starting. Word. I think they're being disrespectful, to be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Well, let me mind my business. That's the thing. I don't know what y'all got going on in O'KC. Yeah. All that. You know what I'm saying? So, yeah, I can see that happening. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:41:17 But to make some great points, James Hart and left became a superstar, made a lot of money, still void of a championship. But he definitely excelled as an individual, winning a bunch of awards scoring titles, assist titles, so on and so forth. So we've seen that with OKC. Would he have done that with OKC? I'm not sure. But he definitely excelled individually. Still as I have a championship, though. Okay, now let's get into the game.
Starting point is 00:41:46 So the Warriors beat the Nuggets, 137 to 131 in overtime. So Warriors are starting off the season 2 and 0. What is your thoughts on that, Mace? Oh, I'm not ready to make a big deal of this, but I am excited to see that the curry that I thought should have showed up, showed up, you know, that's a great sign. Because sometime when you got new guys coming in on the team, pause, you're trying to do a thing to get them acclimated
Starting point is 00:42:13 and to make sure that they get going. And I think with this legacy of Golden State, it's important that we don't lose the curry we know. Everybody else just got to step it up and do what they got to do. Because I don't like when Curry tries to play down to make sure that Buddy Hill gets going or, you know, somebody else gets going. I think they got to just, they just got to get more dogish pause and show up and get what they're supposed to get because it's just, it's just. It's just not cool to see him do it a different way. When I think of, pause, when I think of Aaron Gordon, you know, his 50 lets you know that he's back and he's serious. And I like this Denver team.
Starting point is 00:42:58 When he's playing aggressive, it's a different Denver team. So if they could get my boy going, Bruce, I know he's back. This could be a special team. All right, tell us what you think, status is your team. Okay, well, first, it already feels we're saying, so we, but I like how the Warriors are starting off the season already just seeing like the overtime games and stuff that we've seen like that. It shows like the energy going into the, waiting the paper energy going into it. I think Seth Curry, you're saying it's nice seeing him drop those amount of points at this age. I think that's good for him to show as the leader of the team, especially to the new pickups that they had and just younger players who have been on the team.
Starting point is 00:43:41 Like pods, obviously coming a coming back and even like their new sign. Will Richards. So I think that overall, shoot, it is good for them. And I think that they're just picking up the pace and it's not only going to continue from now. At his age. Yeah. You act like Stephen Curry got graze in his beard.
Starting point is 00:44:01 No. But I mean, you say you might. When you like skin, you don't get grays. That's not true. That's not true, but at the same time. It's like not to even just get me. I mean, when you're mixed, light skin, Larry is not mixed, like, skin.
Starting point is 00:44:18 When you're mixed light skin, let's put the camera on, on Larry. You know Larry nationality? You got black, I'm trying to tell you something, killer. When you're mixed. You're going to tell me about somebody I know, but go ahead. All right, okay. This is my problem. I have an age-old problem.
Starting point is 00:44:35 When I tell people more than they know, they hate me. When you're mixed with white, your hair is not black. it's like brownish like he got a golden when when your hair is golden like that brownish golden it don't get great who told you that all right i'm just you saying he got a little irish in him or something yeah yours is like you mix with nigger he's not mixed with nigger he's he's not white at all like what that's that's first the foremost that's i'm not just going to start there. I'm actually Irish. My great-grandfather's
Starting point is 00:45:17 Irish. That's that serious, too. And I know that. But you know what I mean? Like that gray eyes, green eyes. Them kind of people, they don't get like gray's like that. My dad has hazel eyes. He does? Yes. We said
Starting point is 00:45:33 green and gray. Hazel is not green and gray. Hazel mixes of green and brown. Okay. When people tell them more and he knows he hates him. I'm working. Larry, what are you mixed with?
Starting point is 00:45:56 52% Italian and black. See what I'm saying. Some Ghana. You see what I'm saying? Some Ghana. No, because he has gray hairs. Okay. So that actually disproves you.
Starting point is 00:46:10 I mean, like, blonde. You don't see blonde. Do you? A lot of blondeish brown people hair go gray. Okay. They might. They might.
Starting point is 00:46:22 Maybe I'm tired. No, you're the expert. I'm listening. Look, as far as this game is concerned, it was a really good game. And went in the overtime, all my picks for under, I'm sorry, COKIN was not in effect last night.
Starting point is 00:46:39 I sincerely apologize on my behalf. You know what's fucked up? is that Steph Curry on the over. I picked him for under, and it was 23. Underdog had it, 24, I believe. And at the end of regulation, he had 23. I was correct at the end of the game but then it went in the overtime.
Starting point is 00:46:57 I picked the over for Joker. Joker didn't have over 28. I would, you know, listen, y'all gonna have to bear with me a little bit. Niggas snitching out there in the NBA. I don't know who's shaving points and shit. Bear with me just a little bit. Let me figure this shit out.
Starting point is 00:47:12 for the next first three, four games, and I promise I got y'all. But this was a highly contested game. All these games so far have been really good the first three, four days of the NBA, man. It's been really good. I'm talking about the first day you think about this. We got double overtime with OKC in Houston.
Starting point is 00:47:32 You get an overtime last night with the Warriors. Yeah, with the Warriors and Denver. You get another double overtime with OECC in Indiana. We get to see the emergence of Wimby. The Knicks look really good against the Cavaliers, the top two teams in these.
Starting point is 00:47:49 This has been a sensational first week so far of NBA basketball. But back to the game, yeah. Aaron going 50 piece, especially shooting it, looked like over 90%, close to 90%. So that's 17 for 21
Starting point is 00:48:03 look really good. Joker had another triple double. But impressive is the Warriors. It's the Warriors, because we know that they're trying to get the right pieces around Steph Curry because they want to get him at least another championship before he retires. I don't think he's retiring any time soon.
Starting point is 00:48:21 He looked really, really good. But I do like the way the worries are starting off the season. We'll see. We'll see what happens with them. But sorry about my picks yesterday. I was right there, but the overtime fucked up everything for cold care. We're going to be back, though. We'll be back Monday in full effect, 100%.
Starting point is 00:48:38 Yeah, and don't forget, Shay, Shee half 55. We're about to go to that game, we definitely are. It's okay, though. And then to your point, first week of NBA picks, so they,
Starting point is 00:48:50 yeah, it's cooking. Okay, so the Thunder won again in double overtime beating the Pacers 1-41 to 1-35, so Mace,
Starting point is 00:48:58 what were your biggest takeaways from seeing this game? I just told you, Stats, She had 55, man. Oh, my goodness. Ken, what's your take? My takeaway is that niggas is coming for OKC because the first two games of the season is both double overtime.
Starting point is 00:49:19 Now, we know that Houston has height. You know, they're starting for all 611 outside of Aman. He's 6.7 point gone. We know the Vian Fleet is hurt. So that's why Van Fleet isn't playing and Aman is starting. But Houston looked like they were. When you're the champs, you got the target on your head. But I will say the takeaway, the biggest takeaway is that they won both games.
Starting point is 00:49:40 Whether it was double overtime or not, they won both games. But you think about Indiana Pacers, you don't have no Miles Turner. He left to go to Milwaukee, and you don't have Halliburton playing as well. So I know it was on the road. It's not easy to play Indiana. Them niggas is loud in there and everything else. But yeah, Shea 55 points, double overtime. He's picking up right where he left off.
Starting point is 00:50:03 And I did have a bet with sin that they'll go back to the championship, but it looked like it's a target on they had. And it looks like they're going to have a rough road to get back because niggas definitely want to beat the champions. When the champions come to town, you want to show that we can beat the chance. But one thing that I do like is Shay because he accepts, you know, Shay is very cool. When you look at his demeanor and his attitude and how he brings the ball up, nothing rattles him. He has a poker face. It's like a smaller, smoother.
Starting point is 00:50:36 And I'm not going to say smoother, a little smaller. But what Kauai was, you know, a little more handled. Kauai's more to the point, mid-range game. Nice. And Kauai still does that when he's good, when he's healthy, I should say. But just something about that Shay Butter, man. Sin don't like it. Let me ask you this question, Meryl.
Starting point is 00:50:55 Who would you rather have Shay or Jalen Brunson on your team for a point guard? You know what I'm going to say, Ken. I'm just asking for you. Shee. All right. How about you, Statt? Shea, it's just, I see someone's face. He just looked really.
Starting point is 00:51:13 Like, yo, and like, he looks like a meme. I'm so sorry, the dark lighting. It's just real dramatic. Like, are you okay? Like, god damn. Is anybody in this room with tape? Yeah, you look at you like, you snitched on. Negative.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Yeah. Nah. Nah. Nah. Yeah. I don't think anybody would. That's not to take. Unless your New York neck.
Starting point is 00:51:37 fan, I guess. And that's like, he's still a great... I think the Knicks wouldn't take him over. Oh, Shay. If OKC called New York right now for all you Nick fans, if OKC called right now and say, you know what, we just want to do a straight-up trade. We were like Jalen Brunson for a Shea GILC right now.
Starting point is 00:52:03 What do you think they would do? It'd be... Ask him. What'd you think? It'd be out of it. Yeah. In 10 minutes. Nigger, we ain't in school.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Say science, they'll figure it up. It's same color. It's the same blowing orange. I get what's insane. It's chemistry. But murder. Murder, how long is chemistry for the next? It's been 50-something years.
Starting point is 00:52:35 They got one more year this, man. Yeah, man, the chemistry, God damn. You know if they don't win this year, if they don't go to the championship this year is over for the next. I said the same thing. I totally agree with that team. You did tell them that?
Starting point is 00:52:54 I swore on everything I love. Weren everything I love, I told them that. I say, yo, you think you told me that. I promise you, I told you. Look, you think about it. Jason Tatum's not starting the beginning of the year. Tyrese Halliburton is out.
Starting point is 00:53:13 Orlando's a piece of two away or a year or two away. The Cavaliers, we just seen the inconsistency on them. They had a great regular season last year, but it's about if they're going to be healthy in the playoffs. And then I'm not sure
Starting point is 00:53:30 if Donovan Mitchell could do it. Like you said, on the take yesterday, I believe. He got to be more selfish and not just that. Who's the second option on Cleveland? You know, you got Darius Garland there, you got Mobley there, but you don't have a guarantee second option when you be like, okay, we're going to double team
Starting point is 00:53:46 Donovan Mitchell. Not saying Garland and then somebody else can't get a bucket, but you don't have a guarantee second option, my personal opinion. This is the best year for the Knicks to get to the championship. And I think even with the Cavs, the thing that threw them off, they had this backup point guard
Starting point is 00:54:02 that was really getting them going. I forgot his name. But he was really sparking that team And when they took him off And went back to Garland, it was different So But yeah, I like OKC And think about this with OKC
Starting point is 00:54:16 J-Dubb isn't even played yet He's out with injuries So they got their 2-0 double over time Against Houston against Indiana Like Houston though Because if they don't win And Knicks don't win it this year Then they fall back into that trap
Starting point is 00:54:31 Where they had the championship Losing against Houston This is deja vu 94 huh yeah yeah i remember that you might need to bring like sin what you mad about today because he i just feel like he has a lot to say oh wait wait sit can you
Starting point is 00:54:51 yeah let them sit with bt is like go ahead man so i was like i know yes i'm to say so we go to the finals and we beat all these east coast niggas is it a sympathy we went to the finals because y'all keep bringing up people are injured so so y'all gonna say oh the only reason why y'all went is what i'm asking now is your best chance that's what i'm asking now are y'all are y'all going to say that when we go to the finals i'm probably going to say that see that's why i'm asking i'm being honest i'm probably
Starting point is 00:55:22 going to say that because there's nobody you is no real threat to you in the east coast at at this point right now unless unless Orlando does something phenomenal there's nobody you're really Who is your Arch nemesis in the East Coast? I would look at Orlando Yeah that's what I was thinking But what I'm saying is
Starting point is 00:55:43 So we didn't get there Because of our grit and our hard work You're going to say You did get there But part of it is The dismantling of Boston You wouldn't be there without Boston But the Kearleys don't take that long
Starting point is 00:55:57 They're going to come back this season All of them Let's see Tatum is already walking around going to weddings and shit. He's good. He's shooting around. That's also not normal.
Starting point is 00:56:09 Like, his recovery has not been normal, but he's also not, like, fully good, but I hear you. He thinks walking around mean that you could cut and drive to the basket. Yeah. And everything else. Listen, listen, good luck, man. This is your heart.
Starting point is 00:56:24 Yeah, this is the one chair shot. Yeah. And then on top of that, see, you know the problem... He liked that. But you know, the problem is murder is this, is that. They should definitely go to the championship winning it. That'll just be extraordinary. But they'll be happy with getting there.
Starting point is 00:56:40 I think if they was there against OKC, they would have beat OKC. I really do believe that. OK, you're not going back. Denver. It's going to be Denver and Knicks. I said it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:52 Demmer in the Knicks, no Houston? No, Thompson, maybe if Green was still there, but then again, I don't know. He averaged six points. I don't know. They don't have enough. You said Denver wasn't shit two years ago when I told you about Denver. You said...
Starting point is 00:57:10 I just told you about San-An-in before you saw that game... You sit there and you shit on the Joker. You're just a Joker two days ago saying he got no footwork, he ain't got no postman. He didn't have no footwork. That's what the nigger says, murder. The nigger says he got no footwork. He said he can't do. He said, joke ain't shit.
Starting point is 00:57:25 And he said, who is this Jamal Murray, nigger? This is what he told me two years ago. That's the year they won the championship. I was bugging. I'm glad. The Joker's not Rashid Wallace, my nigga. When I say footwork, I mean Rashid Wallace, Chris Weber. This is when I say him and tell you this shit
Starting point is 00:57:40 that are you talking about. He thinks Rashid is better than Joker. I'm talking about footwork. That's all I said. No, you got to tell them. Every time you bring it up, you bring up a bunch of niggas from the 90s that you say, no, not footwork, better than him.
Starting point is 00:57:53 See, the problem is this. You have a problem how people put the ball in the basket. If the ball goes on the best, Sean Mary is shot like this. It didn't matter. The ball going to win. I didn't ask you about footwork. Do you think Rashid Wallace is bad than the Joker?
Starting point is 00:58:08 No, but can I say what you said yesterday? Yes or no? No, I wouldn't know. That's crazy. See, not because you're doing this because you're on TV. Can I say what you said yesterday? Yeah. You said Winby is going to be a greater spur than Tim Duncan was.
Starting point is 00:58:21 I said he has the possibility to do. He might have been the best player ever. Tim Duncan? He could. Yeah. I never know. I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:58:29 No, he's 7-4. The nigg is 7-4. And he, like, 19. He's going to get five rings? I told him, you know what I said to that murder? I said, if you get a Tony Parker, a Genoblee, a Cowan, a Cowanet, yes, a Bruce Bowen. I think the players that he have now, they're just, like, they're just, they're not even one player away. They're really, like, time away because they, like, that kid Harper is like that.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Rich Paul calling me right now. Hopper is like that. I called them, I called them earlier to see why. The athletic. It's funny Nick Rich Paul's calling me right now. I called them earlier. If they had pop, they would, he could. To see, to see why Wemby.
Starting point is 00:59:13 I'm not sure with another coach. Disrespected Anthony Davis like that, his client. That's exactly what I call Rich Paul. So I'm, Rich, I haven't passed the time already. I just called to see why Wembe didn't care about one of your clients like that and disrespected A.D. and treated him like he was on a Nerf basket. Hey, yeah, another day.
Starting point is 00:59:32 A Nerf basket. Well, in the comments down below, we talked about a lot of different things. Let us know your way too early finals prediction. But that is all the time that we have for today. Thank y'all for watching. And as always, it is what it is. What you want, nigger?
Starting point is 01:00:04 Everything nigger, super size. Too big necks. Like when they doing them two for five. Two for five.
