Welcome back to It Is What It Is.
I'm Treasure Wilson, aka Stat Baby, along with your host, Cam.
Mace will be back.
And y'all today, we got Sin joining the show.
How y'all doing?
I can do this today.
It's six straight.
I don't know what's talking with your face, man.
Every time we win it, man.
You see it?
Y'all see his face when we win?
It's a sad, man.
Sad day, man.
Sin, glad to have you.
you know, I see you're excited.
He's started the call laughing before we even started play.
So let's get into it.
Let's actually start with the Knicks.
Because the Knicks fans out there, they're happy.
They're excited and Sin is showing us that.
So the Nix are actually on a sixth game winning streak.
They just beat the Wizards 145 to 113.
We know Pissons got some things going on with Cades.
So the Nix and the Celtics right there.
So, Sin, how are we feeling about the NICs right now?
And then what's the excuse if they don't win?
this year. Let's claim it now. What's going on?
If we don't win, what?
Win it all.
Okay. Now, I'm not
that delusional as Cam try to say
I am. Okay.
We need one more piece.
All right? We need one more piece.
We need one more piece. All right? Whether if it's
coaching or player, we need one more piece.
Y'all could build. Let us build.
Y'all building over there, right? Y'all need
Y'all need two more pieces over there
and the Spurs, am I right?
Wimby can't do it all by himself.
He is not making a truth.
It looks like we end up being O.K.C.
We can go to that championship this year.
We're right there.
Don't try and put us in the same boat as y'all.
We won five championships this decade,
fell off and then got right back where we need to be.
Y'all been out the loop for 50 years.
Please do not put the Spurs with the Knicks.
Please don't do that.
Let's not do that today.
Not this much too early for that.
murder he was
murder he was listening to you because you said
the spurs is the only one that could be okayc
so he listens to you now you want to listen to murder
any other time you don't want to listen man you want to listen
first of all you now you're going to put a battery in his back
but I sent that early in the year
because we beat them three times in a row
they won one but I was talking about early in the year
so may say said it recently but I don't know how often you watch the show
I've been said that but
What Mace did say recently is that Spurs can be okay,
seeing the Knicks could beat the Spurs.
He did say that, but I've been saying this.
See, you think about it, if you watch,
you don't have to sit there and say,
I'm following with somebody saying.
Well, I'm just talking, I'm talking about the games.
I'm just saying in general.
I've been said that, but murder have said that most recently, yes.
And he did say that, but the Knicks could beat the Spurs, right?
He did say that too, right?
Yeah, that's what we said.
Oh, okay.
So finish his sentence.
letting you finish. Why you ain't finished that?
Didn't I just say that made something?
Am I right on? Did I just say that?
Yes, but also sin was going.
Like, sin you were going.
I'm trying to see.
That's four d'nick to say I'm lying stepping.
Yeah, you are.
Because it's y'all show you, that's what you do.
You trample over my rights.
You infringe on my rights.
Triple over rights.
It's so dramatic.
Yeah.
Yeah, I got a freedom of speech.
It is.
You do, though.
You do.
You do.
So basically you're saying you're not delusional because you're not saying they would win at all.
You said they're one piece away.
So you're claiming right now.
He didn't even answer none of the question you ask.
We go into the finals.
Let's do this.
Let's do this.
Let me help stand out because stat ain't even do nothing wrong.
But let me help out for him.
I don't know.
He's been on this show before.
Sin, let's talk about first how the Knicks are going on in this six game.
Street.
You got to do one at the time with him
stack.
You can't get more than one thing at the time
pause.
I got all the answers.
Go ahead.
X.
You just asked you the question.
So how do you feel about
the Knicks being on a six-game winning
street?
And what do you credit to that?
I mean, it feels great
because we just came off
an eight-game winning street,
you know, and then we took a little
stumble on the road trip.
I don't really call it a stumble.
We lost two games.
The rest of the game,
we won. And, you know, the two games that we lost, it was broadcasted. Y'all, y'all broadcast our losses
and keep quiet on our wins. I will never understand this culture. We are from New York, my man,
not you, that, but you are from New York. So who do you credit there six game winning streak two
in the prior eight game one? Like, where is this coming from? Who do we like? Who do we not like?
You said you're a piece away.
If the piece is away, who are you willing to, like, get rid?
Like, what do we like here?
I think, Mikel, he might need to venture off and go somewhere else.
We need somebody more solid at his position.
We need somebody more south.
And I want to, and I want to credit Shack.
Shaq wrote Cat up.
Y'all been complaining about Cat.
Oh, he's this.
He's soft.
He does and that.
He's not playing soft no more.
Best numbers since the All-Star break.
that's what I credited for Shack
and I credited for myself
for having the knowledge to know what we need.
That's what I credit.
Maybe we'll just go back to you.
You credit Shack and your own knowledge
for the Nix Squid.
Got it.
No, I love this though because
it gives me the context that I need.
It all makes sense.
So before I even go back to it,
because I guess your excuse is just saying
that they're one piece away.
Cam, how do you feel about
the next sixth game winning streak?
No, son I asked me last name.
I'm going to watch the Knicks play the Wizards.
Your staff, did you watch the Knicks play the Wizards yesterday?
No.
Yeah, it's not on those.
It's not on your list, is it?
Especially during March Madden.
It's like, why will we stop doing what we're doing to see the Knicks play the Wizards?
It's just not on anybody's scorecard.
Like the Knicks, I'll tell you this much.
When it comes to the Knicks, this is the right time of year to start getting it together.
The victories that they did have over the last December of this one, six-game,
One Street, include Gold and State, which they beat Gold and State by three points with no Draymond Green,
no stuff, Kirby, no Porzingis.
They beat the next other day by one point.
So they're not having sensational victories.
They're winning, and the win is all that counts, absolutely, and this is the right time
a year to be winning.
But I'm not giving them any credit because this is where they, we thought they would be
all year long, not even in third place.
We thought they would be in first place from beginning
and kind of like O KC has done in the West.
Considering all the talent that's going on in the West,
we're talking about the Spurs right there behind them.
He's talking about the Sturt, the Spurs are a piece of two away.
Actually, the Spurs have all the pieces they need.
The only thing I would say they won the championship
is because of an experience.
And their game experience is they go along.
We got one to be 23 years old, Castle, 21 years old,
more rookies on the team, absolute bench.
Our coaches are nominated.
one in the top three for playing, pardon me, coach of the year.
And we're looking decent right now.
And it's not too far fetched to say we can win the championship.
We'll see what happens.
But as far as the Knicks are concerned, like me and they say you all the time,
so that we've seen this movie.
You know, Sin goes to this movie all the time and think the outcome's going to change.
And last year was the biggest dramatic thing for the city in a long time.
You see they started naming the streets after niggas,
Cat William Daveno and all this dumbass shit
Jalen Brunson Square
You know, it's crazy
You know what I mean?
So I would say this
Even though the next season, not this year
But this season, right?
Statt, this is when it comes down to the next.
Check this is all right.
What we?
The next one, the Cup, you remember that stat?
Yes.
What was your biggest?
What was your biggest memory from the Cup?
Just asking.
I, I mean,
The clip of them touching each other was there.
That was there.
Thank you.
That's why you answered it.
Unfortunately.
Unfortunately.
We didn't rehearse this.
Statt,
we didn't rehearse this.
We didn't,
we didn't even have a conversation about this.
Everybody knows that that,
well, listen,
we just talking,
it's opinionated.
It's a factual show,
but you also give you opinion.
First thing I say was Statt and the cup
and the next,
we think about the thumb and ass,
the Jalen Brunson,
on the victory.
We don't even think about them winning the cup.
We think about the thumb and ass.
I was watching another day.
Somebody grabbed Jalen bruns and nipples.
Oh, yeah, that was so, that was Jeremy so hot.
Yeah.
Yeah, we got rid of them.
We got rid of that nigger for that freaky shit
as far as I'm talking about.
You know what I'm saying?
So basically, it's thumbs in the ass.
It's nipples being grabbed.
We know it.
Cat Williams did.
We call Anthony Tills.
We know.
I call Anthony Cams.
So this is the next other cat.
Cah has been doing this thing.
But I like Mitchell.
I like Mitchell now because
Cat was actually trying to talk to Mitchell on the bench.
And Mitchell looked at the nigger like,
get the fuck out my face.
So Mitchell's my new favorite player on the next.
But, you know, it is what it is.
Stad, I'll let you win on another little secret.
I don't know if I said out of a little bit.
But I said everything I have to say.
but I let you know one of a little secret.
Sin, you actually was supposed to go first.
We was waiting for you to say anything.
You didn't even say anything.
You're talking about you credit shacking yourself and just left it to death.
I don't know.
Anyway, just so you know, Statt, I'm going to fill you in some privy information.
We were actually, well, Sin was watching the game and I wasn't.
And remember a couple weeks ago, I was telling you how he said that Mike Brown should be coached a year?
He was just saying how he wished he had Rick Carlisle, the Indiana coached the Knicks
because he has more knowledge than Mike Brown, and they have a great system over there,
intelligence-wise.
I don't know if you heard the beginning of his tape, but he said,
they're a piece away.
He don't know if it's a player or a coach.
So he has no idea if it's a player or a coach.
This is for even one.
You know how somebody was like, yo, we're accused.
piece of weight for winning the championship.
I mean, that may include moving the coach, too.
You know how big a deal with it is to move the coach?
Now you want to move a coach that's been there for their first year.
Do I got to find for line stepping?
Do I got to find for line stepping?
My ghost step.
Let me line steps.
Let me lie and lie.
Then we will go back to you because I do know you have a lot to say,
and I want you to say what you got to say.
But can I continue?
Yeah, but we gave him a shot.
He didn't want to say anything.
He said he wanted to credit him and Shaq.
Anyway, I'll wrap up with this.
He said he wanted Rick Carlisle to coach the Knicks, and they're smart over there,
and he don't like Mike Brown, but just a few weeks ago, a couple weeks ago,
he wanted us to say that Mike Brown should be coached the year.
They got rid of Tom Timito for Mike Brown.
Actually, Tom Timito was one game away from the championship.
Now you're talking about you may need another coach.
He told me the other day, too.
know I hate to give up privy information but this is the mind of a nicture.
He don't want Jalen Brunson's father there no more.
He doesn't want anybody from the coaching staff there,
but he wants them to be considered coach of the year.
Congratulations on the 16th game one of street.
Okay.
So your problem.
Go ahead.
Okay.
Okay.
Your problem is you just.
No, no.
You just.
That's great.
You just took away.
You just took away all.
all our credit.
The question was, what is the credit to us winning games?
And all you did was take away credit.
You're talking about people, injuries.
I kind of rebut.
All right.
All right.
This is what I'm saying.
This is what I'm saying.
It's my goal.
It's my goal.
So hold on.
And what I said was somebody on the coaching staff.
I did not say the coach.
You can play it back and listen to it.
I said maybe another piece on the coach's staff.
And yes, I did say call out and the blonde-haired girl.
with fit over there because they got the knowledge.
I like the knowledge.
I ain't say I ain't like Mike Brown.
And I think Eric Brunson being assistant coach,
you know, that's the son playing.
And the son is the star of the team.
So why wouldn't you get more leniency?
And stop blaming it on other people's injuries, bro,
because we have nothing to do with that.
And guess what?
Boston was number one last season, right?
You're talking about, oh, we thought they would be number one all season.
Boston was number one.
You see what we did to them, right?
That's not even the same Boston Celtic team you see anymore.
Two comeback wins by 20 points at the last quarter.
We boost the ratings up last year.
Y'all needed us.
He has no rebuttal.
Okay, go ahead.
Yeah.
No, no.
If the Knicks, if the Knicks, I've been telling you this for decades.
If the Knicks in the finals is better for the NBA,
the more than Knicks winning is better.
New York is a big market.
So I don't know why you always talk about David Sturhating on you, Adam Civil,
the referees, us, sports analysts,
it is absolutely better for the league
when the Knicks are winning.
So I don't know why you think somebody
would be hitting on the Knicks when it's more money generated.
Like you said, viewership is up.
A lot happens when the Knicks win.
So nobody's talking about that.
So at the end of the day, when we was talking about,
and I don't know what injuries, you said I said,
what injuries did I say anybody had anything about an injury?
Who I said was hurt.
When we was playing other teams,
Porzengis wasn't there.
and all other people wasn't there.
That's not our problem.
Oh, no, okay, I thought you meant
when he was talking about the Spurs in New York.
Yeah, absolutely, but we do have to take that into account.
Yeah, absolutely right.
It's not your problem, but what I'm saying is this.
If you're playing the G-League
Golden State Warriors and you win by three points,
people are going to take that into effect.
People were on there.
I actually see after the game, Tracy McGrady,
shout to my guy Tracy McGregory.
Pardon?
racing the grading say, you know, shout to the Golden State for making this a good game because
these are guys that's actually just trying to keep a job. That's what he said. They won three
points for people trying to make the two. So that's what I was referring to. But listen, man,
the end of the day, I'm not really hype about the sixth game, Win Street. Well, I will give credit to
this is a good time to going on one street because the season's almost over and the playoffs are about
to happen. So congratulations, kudos.
Seth, I got one more thing.
Yes.
Do you remember before the Cup in the beginning of the season?
I said, can you name, since you, all Spurs again, can you name the starting five?
He said, I ain't even going to do that.
I got the computer right here.
You know why?
Because he couldn't name this first starting five.
Now he's naming people and coaches and everything.
It's just real funny that you're doing that now.
Well, also.
That's new hotness.
But also, and this is where I have to, like, she in life.
I want you, let me a real quick start.
Go ahead.
Hold on one time, one time.
I want to start to talk.
I want how to finish this up.
But this is what I'm trying to say,
I remember sitting back and me,
he's been in New York Knicks fans for I don't know how long.
And he made a bet with me about who they started fire was,
about 50 games into the season.
And he didn't even know, and he lost money
because he didn't know who the starting fire was.
You just always got to win.
You just always got a win.
I'm just telling you what happened.
And I'm telling you there that I have,
not been tapping into my team
the last couple years, especially when
we got hurt because I knew we didn't have a chance
even though I should have been keeping up.
Then I was so disappointed about pop
having a stroke and not being able to come
back and coached. I went through a little phase
where I'm like, it don't look good for us
for a while. But yeah, the young boys checked
in. Niggins is doing their thing
and they're on demon time. So pardon
us for being us. I'm sorry.
It's a lot of stuff. No, you're good. I was
just going to say, I mean, this kind of happens
for all teams, because especially like a lot of trades
happen, things move around.
Like as we see teams get better, I mean, you're going to know the starting five.
There is also points where I do try to stick up for you because, I mean, you're going to
get a hard time regardless because it's the Knicks.
That's very clear.
So this was the moment.
I really wanted you to kind of like vouch for your team because all these things are always
said.
And you know, like I was just rooting for you just a little harder to be able to be like,
this is this is why we're going to because I mean, the Knicks and the Celtics do have the same
on a wins. Like, even with Detroit,
Cade being out there might be declined. You guys
are going to be right up about there. So
you know, and then you're starting
by saying, well, we're one piece away. That's
kind of like a safety cushion. Like, I need you
to stand on that. Like, that's your
team. So like.
And to keep it on
that to your point,
we wasn't even going to start the show with this shit.
She gave you the opportunity
to start the show. I was not.
Listen to that.
Jane of Bruns.
She got the number four selling jersey in the league.
I wasn't good to start with things at all.
This is your opportunity.
This was your chance to say something
and you just
formula the whole shit on behalf of Nicklers.
But you know what he did?
I should have said what I said earlier,
but he debunked everything.
If you ever watch 8 Mile
and watch Eminem battle,
he says all the things
that he knows you're going to say.
So when you say it gives it no credibility.
That's what he did.
Talking about old players is hurt.
and this and that and this and that
the Cade Cunningham and
listen we wasn't worried about them
niggas y'all was popping all that shit last year
about Detroit, how they so rugged
and young and Kay Cunningham is this and that
they can't beat us in those seven game series
I'm just telling you
I'm just telling you that
after the game
you wasn't happy
you told me I don't like it
that's what you said
this is what you said
then you said
Because it was laughing.
Said the same thing.
Well, I'm just saying, if you don't like it, I'm supposed to like it, and you're a Nick Finn.
If you don't like it, I'm supposed to like it.
You're the one in the Nick Finn.
So I just don't get that.
Of course, if you don't like it, how am I supposed to feel about it?
You know what pisses me off?
Let me tell you what pisses me off.
You got the ability to have us court side, and you don't want to do it no more because of self-
that's what it really is.
This is what this really is about.
He's like, he wants to be courts on his favorite team, and you don't want to go.
This is the root of the frog.
He was courts out all the time.
This is the room.
Eating lobster and shrimp and all kind of Australian frog, dipped in butter, all type of shit we was doing.
We stayed in the garden.
Now he don't want to do it because of personal reasons.
Because you murder and stat or the panel.
It's cool to hate the Knicks.
I see that.
It's cool to hate on me.
It's not just about hate.
There's just valid because even you're saying,
The Pistons Zone got y'all, but even this year alone, you guys had three games.
Pistons beat y'all every single time.
We just have to look at the facts.
We got to look at what we're seeing.
We've got to look at the games.
And it's got to make sense.
Boston did that.
Boston did that too last season.
Last season, Boston and Cleveland both beat us about 20 and 30 and all that.
Y'all came on here, laughed at us.
The game opener of the season, Boston beat us about 20 points or more.
They laughed at us.
Every time we played them, they beat us about 20 and 30.
That's just what happened.
And look what happened.
But that's also...
He was wearing Nick coats.
Go ahead, Cam.
But see, the whole thing is that...
But see, that's why I'm having somebody reasonable is on here, whatever.
Because he act like that equaled out to a championship.
All that should he talk about, I'd be Cleveland didn't make it,
bossy didn't make it, then they lost the...
What the hellie?
Chokes sign.
Yeah, that's him.
Central home.
What the hell he?
Out of game.
Chokeson sent her home.
He didn't even.
do it right.
Your loss.
He didn't even do it right.
He did all this and ended up to tie the game.
Everything he's talking about did not equal for them to even go to the championship,
let alone win it.
Then he wants to talk about giving up McElragetz.
They gave up 92 draft pick for Jamel McElbrizzles.
Everything in the world now you want to get rid of McCall Bridges.
It's crazy, man.
I mean, when you're in a slump, he's been in a slump for like two, three weeks, my nigger.
A slump?
last, maybe, maybe, a slump blast, maybe like three, four games.
I remember Carmelo went through a slump.
It's okay.
But come on, like three weeks to a month, one, I guess?
Like, this is getting a little crazy.
Sorry, in this point you.
You can't trade nobody right now.
You get stuck on with the moment.
Well, you, you asked me what I think I needed, and I told you, you know, and I, and I applaud
a shack for making cats that's all.
That's not what, that was, that was not the question, son.
gave the opportunity to tell you why the Knicks are winning the sixth game winning streak
and where do you think they're going to end up and then you said what y'all needed
nobody asked you what y'all needed we thought y'all was doing just fine oh really oh oh you just
so wait time out see you see how you can't you think yourself so we're doing fine we we okay
because you just said we didn't look good because we're not in first place
I thought I was just fine.
You're the one saying, right?
You're a walking contradiction.
You sit there and say, you sit there and say,
look, we're on this six-game winning street.
But we need three apiece away.
This, that, and third.
Yo, first place don't matter.
Last year, look what niggas did to us.
Look what niggas did to us.
But every day you called me tomorrow.
Yeah, we almost caught Boston for second place.
If it don't matter, why are you?
always calling me telling me what place y'allant if the place doesn't matter.
You know what happens to that?
Kay Cunningham, lung collapses, say, oh, look, don't look like he can play basketball
level again.
I ain't say that.
I ain't saying like that.
Because I don't want that.
That's what you said.
You are witch-hazer.
You are witch-hazer.
I've been saying to you like that.
No, no, no.
You say that?
I ain't, I ain't saying like that.
That boy career is over.
He can't play basketball again.
That's exactly what you said.
Then when I said, let me read this injury.
Then I said, let me read the injury.
You sound like Kevin Hart when he's trying to explain when he said,
Dan, that's what you sound like.
You said the boy can't play basketball.
I read the injury.
And then I said, it isn't as bad as it seems.
He might be able to come back in two, three weeks.
He's going to get evaluated in two weeks.
And people whose athletes recover quicker with this injury,
you say, yeah, all right.
That's exactly what you said.
Yeah, so long.
I didn't know you could, you could, you know, just because you asked.
But the point being is you called,
and you called it through his career in the garbage.
That's what you did.
You called it said the boy can't play basketball no more.
That was your exact words, bro.
Let me tell you all.
With a smirk.
With a smirk on his face.
Let me tell y'all.
Let me tell you something about Cam.
Let me tell you all something about Cam.
He is witch Hazel, and he got like some kind of spell.
sometime. So anything, I remember
I was talking about somebody
getting the injury and then I popped my Achilles
and he like, see, see what I'm saying?
He'd be having like some
witch haze of shit with him. So I know that
now, it took me a couple of years
so when I called, I said, damn,
like, hey, Cunningham is over.
I said a lung. I thought
it was said it to Nick. Because Nick said
he was going to be MVP. I was like, damn, it might
be over for him. That's how I said
it. I ain't said with no smirk. He couldn't
see me. I ain't know I was
smirke.
Two different interpretations, but then I got to ask you, what is
witch hazel shit?
What is that?
Yo, what is that?
Yo, I call it witch hazel because, yo, every time he'd be talking about something,
it happened.
He'd be like, see, that's because they did this.
Which hazel?
Witch hazel heals, though.
Like, when you have a cut, you use witch hazel to heal your cut.
You never heard of the Blair Witch?
Witchcraft.
Yeah, that I called witch hazel.
I don't know where I got hazel from.
I don't know where I got it from.
I'm just, I'm not even trying to get on, like I'm genuinely asking.
We ask questions.
We're on TV.
Sometimes people need clarification.
We're all going every which way.
I just got to ask.
But what I will ask, the Knicks fans who are watching this in the comments,
let us know if you guys believe Sin was a good spokesperson for your team.
And let's know if you guys think you're one piece away.
Like, we need to know, okay?
They're going to diss me.
They're going to diss me.
They're going to say, you don't know shit.
We need to know.
You know a show you came on.
You came on.
It is what it is.
Trust me.
They come at me, too, because I didn't watch the Knicks versus Wizards,
but I watched the Heat versus Wizards when Band made his game.
Like, it happens.
We all, we all got to be ready for the fire, especially for your team.
Nothing's fair.
You get paid to watch sports.
You get paid to watch sports.
So y'all can't get up here and say, oh, I ain't want to watch that.
What kind of sports show is this?
You, wait, wait, you know, the last.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, okay.
You're paid to give our opinion.
Yeah, yeah, but you're getting paid to give your opinion about sports.
Am I right?
Fans, this is a sports show.
You cannot come up here and say, I ain't want to watch that.
Even if you did say that, you still watch it to get the facts.
You can't have opinions on, I mean, you can't be opinionated when they come to watching sports.
You got to know what you're talking about.
Half of the time, I don't know what I'm talking about.
But this is what I'm trying to say.
I agree with you.
And that's why we know we talk about with the topics
that we're talking about this was not a topic.
And we gave you an opportunity to express yourself
with the next first thing on the show.
This was not on the list.
It was not on the list.
And we still all had arguments.
Here we are.
It's a hot topic, though.
It's a hot topic.
No, it's really not.
No, you're here.
So we gave you the opportunity.
But it's much madness going on.
Men and females going on.
The Lakers are on a nine-game winner street, which is a bigger topic than the Knicks being
running a sixth game win a street.
There is a lot of things going on in sports for us to sit here and give you the opportunity
to open the show up with the Knicks.
As Nick's representative, the Knicks fans should be pissed off.
Everybody up here, let me tell you saying, just because you wear orange and blue,
that don't mean you know what you're talking about people out there.
Just letting y'all know.
Public service announcement.
That's just that's just that.
Okay.
But now we're moving on from the next going on to the Lakers because there is a lot going on in the West.
So the Lakers have a nine game winning streak and are currently third in the West of Sin.
What do you think's been the key to the Lakers streak?
And then how are you feeling about them right now?
I don't see no need for confetti.
It's nine games.
And who I give the credit to, I give all the credit to J.J. Reddick, all of it.
And y'all niggas was dissing him on this show.
And I know y'all kind of took it back the other day, but people were dissing him.
And JJ Redick seemed to be the perfect fit as a coach.
He's he's aggressive.
He goes after the reps when these bullshit reps that we got now can't let niggas play ball.
And they think this, I don't know.
This might be the fucking panty lead.
You can't do shit.
I mean, we'll talk about that later.
But what I'm saying is the leg is need to credit JJ Reddy.
and the coaching.
Because Luca, you know,
he'd get a whistle for running fast.
So I'm giving all the credit to JJ.
Well, I'll talk to stat, Nick,
and the rest of the staff,
it seems like you have a lot of problems
with the show.
Maybe you don't want to be here.
There's just so many problems with the show.
I don't know.
On this show, we do this and we do that.
It's rage-based.
We started with the next.
It's just win.
I understand.
I get it.
I get it.
I don't know.
I don't know, man.
But listen, when it comes to the Lakers winning right now, it's a few things.
And to agree with this, it's J.J. Reddick partly.
And we did give credit to J.J. Reddick last week.
In the last few weeks, we've been giving credit to him.
But it takes into accountability that LeBron finally has somebody he could defer to,
which I think he wanted Anthony Davis.
to be that person for the last few years.
Anthony Davis, whether it be injury or otherwise,
he just didn't step into that role.
Luca has no problem stepping into that one first option role.
Then on any given night, LeBron doesn't have to even be the second option.
Depending on how Austin Reeves is playing, he can be the second option.
LeBron could fall back and be the third option.
Because think about this.
When you're the Lakers right now, as they're presently constructed,
Lucas the first option.
LeBron James, of course, is second option.
Austin Rees can be a third option.
But it can be any given night that LeBron be a first option,
depending on how he's feeling who they're playing against so on and so forth.
So this is just great.
But the biggest key to why the Lakers are where they're at today is defense.
They've been number one against a three-point percentage in defense in the league
and second overall in defense in the NBA across this nine-game winner street.
So of course we're going to give JJ Reddick the credit because he's coached, but the players
are on the court and the players are stepping up defensively.
I remember the other night when Mace was saying that it's good that Luca had 60, but let
me know when he had three steals.
We had got cut short, but I wanted to let him know that game.
Luca had five steals that game.
We don't know Luca for getting five steals, so Lucas is stepping up defensively.
And for the Lakers will be number two overall in the end.
NBA during this nine game winning street defensively and number one against the three that is
very, very impressive.
The biggest key to their to their victory to this nine game winning street, I'm going to attribute
to their defense.
Cool.
Shout out to the Lakers.
Okay.
So the Thunder hold an NBA best 56 to 15 record while having had the second most missed games
due to injuries this season trailing only the Grizzlies.
So their lineup of SGA, J-W.
Lou Dort, Chet, and Isaiah Hartensstein has played just five games.
And J-Dub will actually return today versus the Sixers.
So after hearing that stat and then seeing just where the thunder has been
throughout the season, Sin, what does this tell you about their team?
I think it's smoking mirrors.
I really think that the league found a little town, and they're going to put some money into that.
Because when you watch them play, no, when you watch them play, they're even more
delicate. You know already
you can look at Shea
Shade Gilger's, uh, Alexander.
You can't look at him and they're going to blow the whistle.
That, that's just, I see, I see the monopoly that's
going on. You know, you take a small town,
a quiet town tied down. You put some money over there.
All right, so we got some money over here.
Then eventually they'll come back and go somewhere else.
Because the places that are established already, New York,
LA or whatever the case may be. I don't know what's our problem,
what they problem is.
with us. But I see what they're doing. I don't, I don't, I don't think that they, I think they got
good supporting roles, but I don't think they like the, the, the, the, the, the, the 95 Bulls or anything.
They ain't, they ain't the new Golden State or anything like that. I don't, I don't see where
all this is coming from. But, you know, they're the champ, so you got to cater to them.
I'm not scared of them.
You're not. No. Okay. Cam.
I'm glad this ignorance is being displayed now.
Ashley.
You know,
I'm just happy that this is...
Let me, you know,
let me ask them a couple
questions for I give my tape.
Was it, you talking about they find a small
town and tied down, shout to
Jewel's, a duels lyric.
But was
it a small town and tied down with
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook was there?
And James Hartman? And
Chris Paul,
and Carmelo Anthony, and
Paul George. What about
sometimes when they were there.
What about that?
You see they were successful, right?
You see, everybody branched off and did their own thing.
They started something small.
They started something small, and then they all blossom.
Everybody went to got their own shit.
Just like the shirt you got on.
Started small, you built.
Everybody went and did their own thing.
James Harding getting big contracts.
Russell Westbrook on this team,
they trying to give him $300 billion to go overseas and play.
All type of shit.
Everybody's successful.
But then it was a time when he was staled.
Was anybody, was anybody more successful than the start?
The start?
What do you mean with KD and, is that what you mean?
The start?
So what I'm saying is, yeah, what I'm saying is this right.
KD went on to have great success.
Two would go to state, finals MVP, twice.
Anybody else you're talking about what kind of success
did they have, as big as success is winning the championship?
because the team we're talking about
and they actually won a championship.
Is it as lit?
Is it as lit?
It's winning the championship.
It's not about lit, son.
It's about winning the championship.
Anyway, let me answer the question that.
He seems not to hear the questions.
He gets emotional over the questions
that you're actually asking.
I think this is a great time for J-dub to come back,
and that's amazing for them to be in the position in.
I always get his last name.
Mr. Dagonoff.
What's his last name?
Stap for the coach for Dagnol.
I always pronounce, mispronounce it.
But we have to give, even though we're not talking about him for Coach of the Year,
he should be in the conversation.
And because of the other storylines, unfortunately, he won't get Coach of the Year.
But let's think about this.
All the injuries you name, only playing five games together with their core players,
and still be in first place throughout the whole season.
Remember, we were talking about.
OKC potentially
breaking the Bulls of Golden State.
Like I think they started 20 and 1
or something like that before the injuries came in the place.
So a lot of Craig had to drag him up
because the coaching job that he's done
with the pieces that he'd have to work with on his team
has just been amazing.
And they've been number one all year round.
Spurs are right behind them.
You know, Houston are right behind both the Spurs.
But, I mean, you know, of course, the Lakers in Houston,
but I'm just saying in general,
it's been an outstanding job.
Right now with about 12 games left in the season,
this is a perfect time for everybody to be playing together
to get their momentum for the playoffs.
Now, when the playoffs come, we'll see what happens.
But I'm not going to call it Smoke and Mirrors
because they're absolutely the defending champions.
Not only the defending champions,
they have the defendant NBA MVP who will probably win the NBA MVP
again this year for two times in a row.
So we'll see what happens when playoffs.
Because last year, they didn't have an easy role.
they didn't have an easy road to the playoffs through the playoffs seat but they won seven hard-ass games with Denver.
They went seven games in the championship.
So they were young.
Their experience kicked in.
They know what they have to do this year.
But I'm not going to sit there and say it's a foregone conclusion, but they should be the favorites going in to the NBA playoffs right now.
Yeah.
So let us know what you guys think about the thunder in the comments down below.
We're going to go to break.
When we return, we will discuss KD passing Michael Jordan.
Don't go anywhere.
Welcome back.
So Kevin Durant passes Michael Jordan for fifth on the all-time scoring list,
reaching 32,293 career points.
Sin, does this milestone change how you view Katie's career?
Do you think people undervalue his greatness?
What do you think about him passing this record?
And then just seeing like new players pass these,
like we've seen Will's records get passed.
Like what are your thoughts on that?
Katie is great.
I don't, I don't, when they pass records,
see, I think what people, what they make the mistake about when somebody passes
they record they compared them to that person.
And I think that's wrong.
You know what I mean? Because like you brought up
Wilk, they wasn't shooting
threes back then. You know what I mean?
So how could you, did you really pass
him? You understand what I'm saying?
But KD. and Michael Jordan
is similar. I
could relate more to that.
Him scoring all in point. I mean, he's a
natural, he's a killer.
He's a natural born killer.
And nobody can stop, KD, and he can score
at well. And, you know, just
like Michael Jordan was.
Like we,
those are the type of niggas we need in the NBA.
We need killers.
And not just the niggas that run up and down
and shoot threes and don't play no defense
and come and shoot another three.
And that part of the game is getting whack.
But Katie is a scorer like Carmelo.
Like he's a killer.
Iverson and all the niggas.
Really quick before you go, Cam,
because then I want to ask you this.
And you said you can relate more to Katie.
And I feel like this is because,
I'll say you respect the way.
way Katie plays.
So when you see somebody like SGA kind of beating like,
Will it's like 20 point record or even like bam making the scoring list,
you don't see that as comparable.
Just clarify.
No, I don't, because Will there were no three-pointers.
And I'm not saying that Shea shoots a bunch of threes.
I'm not saying that.
He does, but I'm not saying that's all he does because he's not that type of player.
I actually like the way he plays.
He has a mid-range game.
that's super poppy like Kauai and all them.
But it is threes in there.
So how much did he,
if you took away the threes and just made it twos,
I would,
I would like to know the,
the stat on that.
How much points would he really have if he didn't shoot threes?
And if he shot a three,
just make it a two.
And I would really like to know, like,
how much,
how many points it would be that.
So, yeah,
I don't really give the credit for passing.
Well, not really.
But, I mean, it's a solid effort.
Sam?
That's crazy, man.
You know, I'm so glad we're doing this here.
That because Cordon or son, anybody who played before 1970
didn't know how to play basketball.
They didn't know how to dribble.
He disliked Chamberlain all the time,
just Bill Russell all the time.
This is the one time.
That wasn't real basketball.
Look, they're not even dribbling.
Wilkin even dribble up the court.
So now he doesn't count when somebody passes will, but he disses Wilk, Bill Russell, Bob Koo, all these people, he disses them all the time, disrespects them.
Secondly, before I go to Bago, he disses Kevin Duran all the time too.
KD's always crying.
KD had to go here to win his championship.
KD couldn't do this on his own.
Has he led a team to a championship since he left?
Constantly disrespect for Kevin Duran.
So you just want KD to cuss me out on Twitter.
You just want, okay.
Carson disrespect from Bill Russell.
Just the constant disrespect and now he's up here actually trying to get both of these people their props.
This is why I love this show because, you know, he has so many problems with it.
This is what we get to do.
You know what I'm saying?
We get to tell the truth how people-
Let's do it.
Let's do it.
Let's do it.
This is what he's been said.
This is what he's been said.
So anyway, shot to Kevin Durant, man.
You know, that's my man.
Not only that, I just think he's such a prolific scorer
because we have to think about this.
What number did he get two stat number five all time?
If I'm not mistaken, that's what you just said.
He passes M.J. for fifth.
So, yeah.
Yeah.
So we think about somebody who actually missed two seasons of basketball, right?
So we, you know, we counting over, you know,
I don't remember it was a full two seasons.
But let's just say around,
160 games.
You missed two seasons of basketball.
You know, that means usually the playoffs,
if you add games into that,
and still being number five on the all-time score list.
I would just like to see where he was at
if he didn't miss all those games
when he had that injury, man.
So salute to Kevin Durant.
I'm happy for you, bro.
Keep staying on these niggas next.
And hopefully Houston makes a good playoff pushing the playoffs.
We'll see what happens.
I think Houston is actually, you know,
not having Fred Van Fleet this year actually hurt them.
Even though they're great a height, they need a true point guard.
I've seen them asking Kevin Durant the other day.
What is he going to do about the double team?
Because they got Kevin playing point forward.
And as soon as he steps over half a court, they're double team of him.
So they asked them post game about that.
He was like, maybe somebody else should bring the ball up and I just get out the hell out the way
and be ready to shoot, so on and so forth.
But I get what Kevin Durant is coming from.
He's basically saying that he may have the best point guard experience on that team.
Even if you're dealing with A man at the point, he's saying,
I probably can run the point a little better than you,
but what they're doing is they're trapping them soon as soon as he gets over half the court.
So in the half court offense, they're basically taking him out to half court offense
as soon as they try and set up.
And he even said it himself that he probably needs to get out the way.
But this is where Houston is missing Fred Van Fleet really, really bad.
But congrats, KD, on Pastor Michael Joy and Be.
big achievement and looking forward to seeing more from me, bro.
Yeah.
And then one thing I want to add, St.
Because it sounds like you're about to say something else.
I know he's telling you that your takes are crazy, which to some people, they are.
But also, there's a group of people, a large group of people who agree exactly what you think.
So it's good to see the perspectives.
But, Cam, what were you going to say?
When you say some people think these takes it crazy?
Are you some people?
you know
can I go
yes I didn't answer
I got you
I got you
go ahead Sid
let me tell y'all what
Cam does
let me and I'm
I'm gonna break this down
what he does on this show
and I just people
go ahead
it's not yeah
it's not even chess no more
it's right there
in front of us
you know what he does
he tells these group
he puts down this group
on you of things that you do, and it sounds crazy.
So then he'll give his take.
So by that, so therefore you can't line step him at that time.
So he's going to talk for a couple of minutes.
You know what I mean?
And it's going to, you can't interrupt him.
That's why I've been sitting here quiet all this time.
I see what you doing.
Let me go back to the beginning.
What I said about KD, I said, let's do it.
What I said about KD is what the world said.
Nobody wanted to see him team up with people.
he could have been more
he could he's more of a better player than that
so we were we were upset at his
competitiveness to go join another team
we all were it wasn't just me so I don't see
how that's dissing him he probably look at me and be like
I don't give a fuck I want to go get a ring
which he's which he's told other people
I just heard him Mon Schumpfitt say the other day
niggins think Carrey is bugging
because he ain't want to play with the bra
why you think he bugging he wants to play against the best
He don't want to play with the best
He wants to play against the best
The thing about Will
I did used to say that they couldn't play basketball
Because I used to see all kinds of shit
When they dribbling around
Everybody's seen this
They dribble around with one hand, one hand
And I was like, I'd just scrape them niggas on there
When he talked about Will
I was comparing him to Shaq
I said Shaq could be any center
Bill Russell all these niggas
I said Will wasn't fast, he wasn't strong
He proved to me
I saw some shit
Well, it was fast and he was strong.
Would I still pick him over Shaq?
Absolutely not.
So that's why, you see, like, he puts all that shit on me,
and then he gives his professional take.
He gets a professional mode, and then y'all take him seriously.
Like, yeah, his man really don't know what he's talking about.
He'd be bugger.
So I peeped you, man.
I just want the people to see what you be doing, that.
And here's the thing.
You're supposed to rep the people.
Oh, go ahead, Cam.
Hold on a stat.
By what you got to me?
Sin, you went first.
I didn't go first.
been going first every time. So how am I making somebody do something? My best. I got it.
You went first every take. I was just saying you're supposed to rep the people who are in alignment with you.
That's why I'm telling you there is a community of people who agree with what you think.
So you got to make him sound crazy and stand on what you said. What sounds crazy is when you make a take,
then he rebuttles your take. And then you have nothing else to like argue it. Then it's like,
like, well, damn.
No, no, because he said, I'll be dissing KD.
And no, Carmelo Anthony is one of my favorite players.
I dissed him.
He has poor leadership skills.
And I said the same thing about KD.
Like, them niggins ain't like Kobe, where Kobe will grab you up and be like,
what the fuck is y'all the niggis doing?
He'll make you play.
You probably don't want to play for that, but he'll make you play.
So that's what I meant.
He said I was dissing him.
I don't think that's dissing them.
Just saying they got bad leadership skills.
and Katie joining other forces.
I didn't want to see that,
and nobody else wanted to see that.
We want to see competitive basketball.
We don't want to see the Golden States play
and be like, well, we know they're going to win.
We like to see, damn, I wonder who's going to win.
That's what the NBA is about,
and that's what they took away for a little while,
because they were steam rolling through niggers.
Well, I'll leave it at that
because, like you said, they're already going to be offended.
I'm not going to tell them what you really said.
If you want to push it to poor leader,
skills and I say the regular verb as you said, follow me.
I mean you don't want them to know.
If you want me to say exactly what you said, I know.
You're saying.
I'll leave it in poor leadership skills.
That's what you said today.
You don't, you really don't know how to play.
You don't know how to play, my nigga.
You really don't know how to play.
Cut that plea, man.
I don't know what you on tonight, my nigga, like this morning.
I don't know what you on.
It's all right.
He said it's fine.
Okay.
On to Dennis Rodman.
So he will actually be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April sin.
Why?
Are you laughing?
What's your opinion on the way?
He's been able to diversify his legacy.
And, yeah, thoughts.
Why is it funny?
Let's start there, too.
Because niggas was looking for Dennis when he was doing that bullshit.
He was disappointed.
He had Mike popping up at an hotel room.
He had the hot bitches and all that.
Like, nah, man, I don't support that shit.
What do you mean?
What do you mean, Hall of Fame?
Phil, Mike, and all these niggas was looking for you, bro.
You were telling, niggas, you can't come to practice to go wrestle with tights on.
Nah, and leather pants.
Nah, bro.
Nah, I don't support this at all.
Dennis, come on now.
You're a great player.
You're a great player.
We should be talking about basketball.
We should not be talking about no goddamn wrestling.
No, I don't support this.
Cam.
I actually do support this.
I think this is amazing, man.
Sin is absolutely correct.
During their title one, three pealing, the Bulls, that is,
with Michael, George, Scotty Pip and Phil Jackson, Dennis Rodman.
They won three championships back to back.
Sen is referring to a time for our audience that's not familiar.
during the championship, he left and nobody knew where he was.
He left in between game two and three or something like that to go fight at
WrestleMania.
And they actually had to go pick him up in between games.
In between games, Michael Joy, physically had to go get him to bring him back to Chicago
to get to play.
But I wouldn't support it if they didn't win the championship.
They still won the championship.
And if you watched the last dance series,
Dennis Rodman would be straight up and tell Phil Jackson in the middle of the season,
I need to take off and go to Vegas for a couple days.
And Phil being the coach that he is, dealing with different personalities
and people with different minds, I would say.
He said, you know what, go ahead and take the two days.
Just be back here at a certain time.
Not necessarily during the championship, but I'm talking about period.
He would tell players,
or Dennis Ryman specifically,
got to go to Vegas.
Michael Jordan be pissed on
about what you gave him a two-day vacation for
to go to Vegas and while out.
But if he didn't win them championships,
I have a problem with it,
but he won the championships.
Phil Jackson knew
that maybe this nigga needs to go be in WrestleMania
and Foster won the championship.
Maybe that's Phil Jackson's brilliant.
But I'll say this, right?
Being at the W.W.E. Hall of Fame
is a very big deal.
But not only is he a WWE Hall of Famer, he's a basketball Hall of Famer.
So it doesn't like he isn't a basketball Hall of Famer.
So now you have a basketball Hall of Famer and a WWE wrestling Hall of Famer.
First person to do it.
Congrats to Dennis for being able to pull off both sports and being a Hall of Famers in both sports.
Congratulations to him.
Yeah.
dope.
Okay.
And last one before we wrap.
So Kelsey Plum becomes the first female pro athlete to launch
a verified AI digital twin that fans can voice call to interact with her.
So fans can voice call a digital version of her.
And it's built to reflect her voice, mindset, and personality.
So Sin, hearing that, and Kelsey Plum is a WMBA player.
She now plays for the Sparks.
When do you think AI goes too far and do you use AI?
I'm like Will Smith and I robot.
I don't support none of that.
I don't like the way they take things now
and you don't...
Yes, Doc.
I had neck mute since
because I only want to hear to take on it,
so I had to mute them.
Yeah, listen, man,
so when it comes to AI, man,
we can't hear you, said,
I'm just letting you know.
When it comes to AI,
there's a lot of bullshit to be going on, man.
I think that people won't be able to get
the actual feeling of talking to her.
It'll be her AI person.
So you may have somebody who knows everything about Kelsey,
this, standard, third, et cetera, et cetera,
but it's not really her.
But hey, I don't know how Gen Z
and the next generation is going to feel about it.
So we'll see.
But me personally, I'll be like, man,
who am I talking to?
I ain't really talking to her.
I'm talking to somebody that acts just like her.
So I don't really support it.
But at the end of the day,
look, we don't know where the world's going.
And so maybe she may be the first person to start something that's going to take off.
Me, it's not really my cup of tea because I know I'm not talking to the real you.
How do you feel about is that?
I don't know.
My thing about AI is some of the stuff gets a little scary because we've just seen too many things and where it can go and how AI has a mind of its own.
Like I see how like AI now you can have it like talk to you a certain type of way.
So some people will tell their AI to be harsh on them or tell them to talk to them sweet.
And I think AI should be used as a tool, but not a replacement because I feel like it's gotten rid of a lot of creativity.
So for me, somebody who thinks a lot, reads a lot, writes a lot, creative in that aspect, I think it's replaced a lot of things that I still think that human should be able to do.
And in this situation, I know for some people who love Kelsey, like she's had, obviously she's a great player and she's had some viral moments.
and some people are just, just get real attached to people.
She's probably going to make so much money from it alone,
and she doesn't even have to do anything.
So at the same time, it's smart because she's getting a whole passive income
from something that she doesn't necessarily have to do,
but at the same time, how far are we willing to let this go
and take over and emulate a whole human?
That's what I'm like, there's no limits.
So how far can that go without regulations?
I don't know.
people think too crazy and I don't really want to know.
But as long as it's safe and works for her and she gets that check, that's fine.
But I don't know.
People do too much.
That's my thoughts.
Let me, let me extend a question real quick.
When it comes to AI, digital money, so on and so forth, how do you feel how the world's going with all that?
Look like we still can't hear him stat.
So we got to wrap the show up because we can't hear nothing he's saying.
It was a good show.
It's crazy.
I'm not a lip reader because I know he has strong opinions on this.
Well,
I'm too sorry we can't hear him, man.
That's crazy.
But, yo,
thanks,
man.
It was dope for having you on the show today, man.
We actually can't hear it.
And I can't even lip read.
But thank you for being the Knicks representative.
I'm sure they will have a lot of comments for you.
You said,
let me get one more.
I know you said that,
but I can't,
I can't lip read a whole paragraph.
I can't.
You know,
you have fun with trying to live
yeah, I can't.
But, sin, thank you for being on the show, man.
Sorry we couldn't hear the last few things you had to say, man.
There'll be a studio this week though, man.
So we'll see you there.
We'll get in the studio, man.
We'll circle back.
But sin, we appreciate you.
That is all the time that we have for today.
Thank you all for watching.
And as always, it is what it is.
