Killer was good.
What up, man?
How you doing, bro?
Chilling, man.
That's what's up.
Everything good.
Mo, what's up, man?
Life is great as usual, baby.
Life is great.
Mo trying to wear the all black, Mo.
You ain't BMF, Mo. You ain't BMF Mo. I wanna.
Exactly.
Okay.
Before we get started,
Stat, I wanna know,
do you want your hat leather or suede?
Cause I got one cowboy hat red for you,
a red cowboy hat for Cam.
I know he doesn't want it, but.
I picked the chief.
Okay, then he doesn't get a hat for us.
You're gonna get one too.
Title down.
And Nick, we're gonna save you one.
I know you're in the backgrounds.
We're gonna get you, Do you want red or leather?
Red or leather? I meant leather or suede.
Stat.
Suede.
Nope. We're all black.
We're getting one. Pause. You need something from Title Town.
Happy Black History Month. I'm celebrating. That's the title that I'm celebrating.
Don't have anything from Title Town. You need something big as a Super Bowl. Pause.
You got it. If you got. What? You got it. You can. You got it. You got it. All right.
See, kill. I'm trying to be generous.
Can do it. Okay. So let's get started. We're actually going to start with Jake
Hall. So he is set to fight Canelo there in the process of finalizing a deal for May
3rd. Maurice, one, is this fight shocking to you? Then two, is this something that you
actually want to see? Jake Paul versus Canelo.
Wait, wait, wait. What happened to Terrence Crawford?
Yeah, it's out.
That was it.
Hey, Moe. I don't care what anybody says.
Jake Paul is the hustler of the century.
Now like you can't do nothing but respect what this man has been able to put together
with a novice boxing career, right?
He's learned how to infuse the internet,
entertain people, get enough fights
in front of everybody's face
to gain and garner enough attention.
And now he got what is arguably
outside of Terrence Crawford Tank and Canelo,
one of the biggest names in boxing.
And to put this together,
knowing that they're gonna make a gargantuan amount of money for Canelo to agree to it, for him to pull it off like, I tip my hat to you.
Jake Paul is an Ohio guy, so I love you Jake Paul for being able to finesse the world.
And even though everybody expects Canelo to win, everybody would tune in, and so you will
ultimately win.
So hats off to you brother.
Man, this is crazy, Mo. It seemed like ever since I
talked about going to Ohio, Ohio just been getting money. I don't want to, you know,
start any kind of war or anything, but it seemed like since I went to Ohio, you know,
money in Ohio. Yo, but Jake Paul, what if Jake Paul beats Canelo?
He's trolling, so we might as well give him some troll advertisement.
What if Jake Paul beats him?
You know, pause.
He can't beat Canelo.
He can't beat Canelo.
And what weight are they fighting at?
I mean, I can't put anything past Jake Paul.
I'm not gonna lie.
He's in my top.
At least he's fighting people, you know?
So that's what I want to say.
At least Jake Paul is fighting people.
He fought Tyson.
He probably paid Tyson not to swing.
Killer did an amazing job on that faceoff.
Killer, I was watching that. I said it's like Killer could
You know, thank you brother. I appreciate that
Been there but thank you
You know, you know how you know somebody, you see them and they're talking and you like,
yeah, this nigga really is taking easy comments.
I saw you, yeah, you were trying to get them to talk too,
but this one with Canelo will be even crazier
because he's always saying payday.
Anybody that fight him wants a payday.
This is a payday.
God talking about boxing Canelo, he said, oh, you want payday?
You want payday?
That mean you don't really want to fight.
You just trying to get paid.
I'm going to start saying that to niggas.
You want payday.
fight you just trying to get paid. I'm gonna start saying that to niggas you won't pay that. Yeah, but I think I think this is extraordinary for boxing because this is a guy taking his
talents from Disney. Who would ever thought you'll be this far from Disney like Disney
came up in the last 10 years. I mean, you got all kind of people
came up and this is another one of those things. So for all those kids watching, you can do
anything. You know what I'm saying? Look at us. We're sports commentators. You can do
anything. Put your mind to it. And the words are stat baby and if you can get away with it
Do it don't let people tell you you're doing too much
You might have more talent than a normal person go as far as you can with what you was given
pause
One of the day that was great
Couple things Disney been your money since 1923, mates, not the last 10 years.
NBA is on Disney.
It's Disney's ESPN.
So it isn't the last 10 years.
Disney been out since 1923.
Just that Donald Daffy, all that,
that's Mickey has been going on.
Jake Paul's a Disney product.
He didn't help Disney at all.
They would have been fine without him.
He might be the toughest nigga ever came from Disney though.
I beg to differ, the NBA is on Disney.
It's some niggas that ain't boxing that been on Disney.
But hey, you might be right, it's a boxer maybe.
I like that scenario.
Secondly, we've been getting money in Ohio
way before you've been talking about it, Mase. I actually became a millionaire in Ohio.
That's where my first million came from, actually. I'm pretty sure Moe can vouch as well.
I appreciate you shouting this out and throwing a little extra leverage, but I just don't randomly pick up and move to Columbus, Ohio.
It wasn't for mental health.
It wasn't the hill.
I didn't go to the hill.
But thank you for the support. I didn't go there to heal.
But thank you for the support.
Look, I was on the same page when they started this out with, what the fuck happened with
Terrence Crawford?
Wasn't Jake Paul?
We just talking a few days ago.
He's fighting his brother on HBO Max.
I can't be mad at either one of these people.
I have to be totally honest with you.
When you think about it from Jake Paul's perspective,
we talked about it earlier this week,
Moe was one of the days he wasn't on the show.
We were saying that we don't even take this fight seriously
because we know they don't wanna really,
really hurt each other.
It isn't like they're brothers that don't fuck with each other.
These niggas be together.
So, you know, I don't know Box's mentality.
I know being Mace's sparring and I hit Mace
or he hits me either or I'm just going from my perspective
because I can't speak for Mace.
He may have a different perspective,
but if I hit Mace in the ribs and he hurt,
I'm gonna automatically stop like, yo, you all right?
I'm just, you know, that's just me like.
I can't.
I can't.
Yeah, to get the money.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, like my mental is automatically not gonna want
to continue to fight because I love that he like my brother
so I'm not gonna hit the nigga and he hurt
and try to follow up with more hits.
Like I just don't understand that Jake Paul and his brother fight.
So I was already not watching that shit.
And then when it comes to Canelo and Thomas Crawford,
I want to see that fight.
That was a great fight.
But if I'm Canelo, lower risk, more money.
We'll get to that fight later on.
Cause that fight was supposed to be September
if I'm not mistaken.
If this fight happens in May,
that fight potentially still could happen
cause Canelo's not gonna get any real damage.
Canelo's not gonna be in any real pain
the way he says,
oh nah, we need to push the Terrence Crawford fight back.
He may swoop up two checks this year, two very big checks.
This could be more of a sparring situation
which Canelo's gonna be sparring anyway.
So if he gets this fight in May and still,
you know, you got June, July, August,
it's still four months away from Terrence Crawford.
We may get both fights.
I don't know where Canelo's mind state is at,
but I would look at the Jake Paul thing is smart.
Now, did you underestimate anybody when you're in the ring?
Absolutely not.
Well, I'm pretty, yeah.
Sorry about that.
But I think this one is pretty much safe to say
that this is not gonna be a real contest
because we know what Canelo brings to the table.
But what I will say for Jake Paul is at least he's probably fighting a boxer who's still boxing.
He's not fighting a basketball player, a kickboxer, a 58 year old Mike Tyson. You're fighting
someone who's considered to be potentially the pound for pound champion. So I'll give him credit in that form.
I actually have a follow-up question for you guys.
So do you guys feel like any Jake Paul fight
can be a real contest?
Cause it's like, we see him about to fight Kanell
and it's like, okay, automatically
we assume Kanell is going to win.
But then he goes and fights Tyson and other people
and people are still like, this isn't a real fight.
Do you think there's anybody who could kind of make you guys
think, okay, this is a real fight?
Does that make sense?
I don't, me personally, I don't think,
I look at him the same way I look at,
and this is no disrespect to them,
but like, I don't know if you remember this,
the Harlem Globetrotters.
And they were just an entertaining show.
You know what I mean? They, you know, they can really play, Globetrotters and they were just an entertaining show.
They can really play. Those guys can really play basketball, but they were an entertainment
team that went on the road and basically did tricks and put people in the stands
and they and they could really play basketball, but it was more about entertainment.
I think he's mastered entertainment
and he's mastered the art of making a bunch of money fast.
And so that's my opinion.
Mo, you better not run into Jake Paul.
I'm telling you that much.
You out there on that Super Bowl
and he hear this, he gonna say, let me talk to you.
Oh, he got some rec, but I ain't thinkin' about J-Fall.
You better stop sleepin' or I'm gonna think
you some nice guy, man.
You are a nice guy these days, man.
I'm a nice guy.
You better stop playin' with me, man.
Nah, I was tryin' to light his truck.
I was tryin' to light it.
He was tryin' to put the cables on.
He was tryin' to put the cables on. I'm a nice guy, man.
He's trying to put the chairman cables on him, see what happens.
But yeah, for real, I think this is as close as you get to a real fight because now you're
dealing with somebody in real time that could knock you out by mistake.
I think Canelo got
Paul's that kind of strength. In both hands, he could knock them out by mistake. And I
think a person like Jake Paul, he can forget and try to really push the envelope and get
a counter punch that changed the trajectory of the rest of his career. But, you know, that's yet to be seen.
But this will be a real one, you know,
because everybody else was either, like Killer said,
a basketball player or, you know,
decades removed from being at the top of their game.
You're dealing with a real Canelo right now.
So that's why people will want to see it.
That's why it will make a lot of money.
And like I said, you can get hit by action.
And when somebody is that gifted and Paul is that strong,
they could think they're sparring and then just, you know,
you know, and then he's falling all over the ring.
And people are like, wow, that was easy.
Yeah, I think that's a great analogy more to Harlem Globetrotters because I used to
love the Harlem Globetrotters because they could really play basketball.
But could the Harlem Globetrotters beat the Sacramento Kings?
That's the question.
You know what I'm saying?
Because they could dunk, they could pass, they got great dribbling skills behind the
back.
You know, I was a really big fan.
My mother and grandmother used to take me to go see them
in Madison Square Garden when I was three, four, five,
six, seven years old, whatever.
But that's the thing is that, and I think Jake Paul,
you said it best, man.
Him and MVP promotions really figured this thing out.
And if niggas is mad at them for figuring it out, oh well, cause they're going to get the money.
And that's what this is ultimately about.
You have a lot of boxers that want to be champions,
that want to be pound for pound the best,
that want to unify titles in different weight divisions.
But their goal is ultimately to get the money.
You know, nobody wants to get punched in they face
for free, I don't think.
You know what I'm saying? So that's first of all. Secondly, that asks the stats question.
It's fucked up for Jake Paul, right? Because no matter what, nobody's taking this fight
seriously. Let's say what Mase just said is true. It's a high probability it won't happen,
but you just never know. Jake Paul knocks out Can true. It's a high probability it won't happen, but you just never know.
If Jake Paul knocks out Canelo,
nobody's gonna believe it was real.
And I'll be like, yo, niggas set it up.
Yo, niggas let the nigga win.
It's no wins for him, even if he wins.
And they be like, oh, now they taking it too far.
They can knock Canelo out, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah.
But to answer your question specifically,
what can he do to prove that he's a real boxer?
Each weight division, there's several weight divisions
in boxing, featherweight up to heavyweight,
well there's lightweight, super lightweight, middleweight,
super middleweight, there's a bunch of divisions.
And each of those divisions,
you have top 10 fighters, or even more than that,
top 15, top 20, but we'll just narrow it down to top 10.
If you really wanna prove that you wanted unboxers,
which I wouldn't do it
because it just doesn't make financial sense for Jake Paul,
start from number 10,
in the other weight division you are, and climb up every person number 10, then you're number 10 in whatever weight division you are and climb up every person number 10.
Then you're number 10. You fight number nine, number eight, number seven. Maybe you skip to number four, number two.
That's how you prove that it's not a game because the number eight fighter in the world in that weight division is not going to play because they don't got no money like that.
They on the way to get some money.
They trying to get to a champion.
So you fight them fighters 10 through four,
then you'll know what's real and what's not real,
if you want to prove a point as a boxer.
Great point.
Does these wins count towards like a real record?
Yeah, he got a real record.
So if he was to lose, that would be a real loss
on his boxing record?
Look, my thing is this, and don't quote me on that,
I'm sorry, I know you're about to say something.
Before the fight, they say they gave his record
and they gave Mike Tyson's real record.
Mike Tyson's shit like fucking 58 wins, nine losses,
da da da da da.
Then you go to Jake Paul and it's like six wins.
You know what I'm saying?
So I don't know how real it is in a boxing,
in a boxing sanction, so to speak, in Nevada, New York,
or whatever it is.
I don't know if it's sanctioned, but do we count it?
You know, that's a great question, Mason and Mo, if you want to elaborate.
But do we count that as a fight against Nate Robinson?
Wow.
It was a mauling.
Does that count in the boxing record?
You know, I don't know.
Yeah.
Great points.
Okay.
So moving along.
So we know that Cooper Cup shared that it came to his surprise
that the team would be trading him thought that he would be staying in LA.
But since the announcement, Kelly Stafford, Matthew Stafford's wife,
criticized the team saying, my husband
wants to win trading away a Cooper Cup. I'm confused because we were one play away from
going to the NFC championship. So obviously with this conversation by default, Matt Stafford
trade rumors have been circulating around. And she said, right now, if the Rams decided
that they wanted to trade him or Matthew decided he didn't want to play for the Rams, I'm good.
I would move my family.
That might be tough.
First month hard.
After that turns out, I like my kids to learn how to be resilient.
And I don't know why resilient has been the word of the week this week, but it has.
You know exactly why.
You know why it's the word. You know why I. You know exactly why. Why is the word.
You know why I'm still using it now.
I'm gonna tell you.
I see.
Boy, listening. That's what I think.
But Maurice, to let you go first,
what do you think of her speaking up against basically the trade
and then the decision made for one Cooper Cup?
And then what do you think would happen to Matthew Stafford?
Kind of like a three part question really. Yeah well you know we just in a new day and age man. When I first heard it I
thought to myself like you know she's tripping and that should be a conversation that she kind of
keeps to herself. I'm one of those people that you know when you're in a relationship with somebody
who's very public you need to be mindful that your words can cause like a prison or trouble for them,
no matter how you feel.
And so that was like my initial reaction
to her saying what she said.
Lord knows how the GM feels about that.
Or even if he was playing something different,
whether if Cooper Cup got traded
and he wanted to act all stealth
and callous towards the situation towards the team, you've kind of,
your wife kind of let your cards out about things that may be going on in
your household with the way y'all talking and everything.
But I was like a real big private conversation person.
And if the conversation ain't really directed towards you or the
thing is directed towards you, you probably shouldn't be speaking on it.
So that's how I felt about that.
And so, um, I don't know, I don't want to elaborate more.
I'll let y'all kind of build on it.
But I just thought that initially when I heard it,
I was like, yo, she's trippin'.
Just because they make these microphones
and they allow you to have shows,
everything shouldn't be shared.
I think Cam said it before, everything becomes a diary.
And I guess just growing up in different eras,
some stuff just needs to, I don't know, have discretion.
I think we've lost discretion to think that everything belongs to everybody.
And this is one of those conversations.
I couldn't have said that better.
We lost discretion, exactly that.
And that people are just in a time where they're just trying to go viral as much as they can.
They understand what to say.
I think the more as time go by,
people know exactly what to say that's going to make headlines. I don't think before people
wanted to make headlines for anything like today. Today it just seemed like people don't
care long as they're on the headlines. That's a cool place to be. Niggas gotta get they bitch in order, yo.
You know what I'm saying?
For real.
You want to be on basketball
wives, that's why the niggas get they bitches
get out of control, you know what I'm saying?
Yo, just
because you have a phone,
I don't know what she does for a living.
But what happens is you are jeopardizing my workplace.
Yeah.
When you're tweeting, when you're TikToking,
when you're Instagramming,
you're jeopardizing my workplace.
Just listening to what Stats said, she said.
Did you hear, I don't mean, I'm not saying y'all didn't hear, but didats said, she said. Did you hear, did you, I don't mean,
I'm not saying y'all are here,
but did she hear what she said?
And if they want to trade Matt and I got to get up and go,
he don't want to play, then I'm fine with that.
I want my kid.
Matt, like who the fuck said I want to get up and go though?
What are you talking about?
We live in California, LA.
We lived in Detroit for 12, 13 years.
It was cold.
What are you talking about, yo?
You got to be quiet sometime, bro,
because you're not on the field.
You're not in the organization.
You don't know this.
I understand that you're passionate
about being supporting your spouse
and what's great and everything else,
but this is the type of shit that again, if you don't get traded or,
or I'm not going to cut now for staff, I'm just using players as an example,
then you're going to create an uncomfortable environment.
Because now, no, you can't sit in the skybox.
No, now you can't park here.
No, park and take the little van
with everybody else down there.
It becomes uncomfortable workplace
because you're gonna rub people the wrong way.
I got, if Stet had a husband,
and he's like, yo, niggas need to start.
How's that funny?
Say!
He's like, yo.
Because I know him, I know where he's going.
Yo, yo, I think Stet need to do this and do that, da da da.
I'm like, yo, I dig it, bro.
I know I'm not longer than you.
Me and our pops are actually cool. We actually don't even like you like that.
We like you, but we tolerate you.
We celebrate you.
Yo, I think, matter of fact, you know what you write?
Don't come back to the studio no more.
Meet her back at home.
When she gets on work since you feel like that.
Or if you want, wait outside the glass
and watch from out there.
Nick Turner's speaker on.
Watch, you gotta be careful with these things, man.
You know what I'm saying?
I mean, you have to be careful when you're talking to people
and I understand that it's passionate,
but this is business, yo, this is business.
And secondly, is you fucking Cooper Cup?
This ain't even your husband.
Let his wife or girl first speak up for him.
The fuck, y'all got something going on inside
that you sad about?
What you so mad about?
That's not your man. If that Matthew Stafford wife, Cooper Cut wife or girlfriend or whoever,
he would speak up for her. Mind your business. Now I know that court receivers are very important
with the quarterbacks, but this isn't your situation. We talked about this again, Mo, the other day.
We talked about this again, Mo, the other day.
Excuse me.
We was talking about washing your mouth because Dennis Schroeder said that the NBA
trade deadline, he compared it to being a slave.
Dennis Schroeder, since saying that,
has been on six teams in 24 hours. He's been cut from four teams he never even got to.
And now he's on the Detroit Pistons where they say, we think we're going to keep them.
We think. We think.
Now, I'm not saying that that wouldn't happen anyway,
but you see how you say some shit and you're not that important
or more or you think you're more important to a situation
than they consider you to be important.
The nigga been in three, four, 10 different time zones
and they ain't been in no time zone.
He ain't been in the city, the nigga.
Now you got Detroit talking about,
we'll see what we can do and maybe we'll keep him.
Be careful, man.
That's it, I'm done.
Yeah, no, great point.
I, you know, everybody's saying a lot of things.
Myles Garrett said something as well,
but just real quick, Cooper Cup, I think he's a stealer,
but we'll get into that as time goes on.
Just had to throw that out there.
But yes, so we discussed,
we know that Myles Garrett wanted a trade from the Browns
and with leading up to the Super Bowl, there's radio row.
Athletes are being asked a lot of questions.
So of course people are asking him to kind of clear up
those statements about wanting a trade.
He said it was just a matter of cumulative buildup
with how the season went and the instability
that they had leading up to the end of this season.
So Maurice, what do you think of all the discussions around this?
How do you feel about Miles Garrett wanting a trade and then him basically talking about it on radio row?
I'm a Browns fan and I'm just older so I get it.
You know, you commit yourself with the prime of your life to an organization And it comes to a point, you know, where you...
And I just think people can understand this.
Once you have money, and once you've had money for a while,
money doesn't have the same value.
And when you start to walk into these rooms, you start to go to the Super Bowl,
you start to be around your peers, it comes about winning.
You know, and you wanting to be around winners,
or you want to be around people who just have a mentality about doing things excellent and you are furthering your career
and trying to go win a championship. And year in and year out, he's in Cleveland, I'm from Ohio,
and he's been waiting for the Haslam family to put some pieces around him. And the shit isn't
happening. He's probably reached a point where he's got to say fed up. He looked at people like Calvin Johnson up in Detroit,
look at Barry Sanders in Detroit and people who just have to
walk away in a prime of their career when they spent the
large part of their career with a team trying to get the
people to rebuild.
And so he just took it in his hands and said,
fuck this shit, man, get me out of here.
You know what I'm saying?
And he's, to me, I'm not mad at him because he gave a bunch
of honorable years to Ohio and to the Cleveland Browns. But I get it. You know,
it comes to a point where the money doesn't mean as much as you trying to be
the best in your career and be around winners. And so hats off to him. I wish
that the Browns didn't do this or create a survivor for him. But I totally get
where he's coming from.
Yeah.
Yeah, I said the same exact thing earlier in the week, Mo,
to say, I said the same thing.
If anybody shouldn't be mad at Ismael's Gary,
year after year he comes in,
whether he's a defensive player of the year or a pro,
whatever, he comes in, he comes to work.
Whether the offensive throw or 800 interceptions,
he comes in and does his job no matter what.
Myles Garrett, he looks like a pretty big guy, pause.
He's jumping over the fucking offensive line,
doing all type of crazy shit on special.
Listen, man, he's an absolute phenomenal talent.
And the same exact thing you said, Mo,
I said earlier this week,
let that man try and play for a championship.
He's got more days behind him than in front of him
as far as his playing career is concerned.
Let him compete.
And he doesn't see anything good happening
for the Browns in the foreseeable future.
You have, first of all, just in the division right now, it's a mess.
Let alone the AFC, the division you're dealing with a mess that you're not going to be able
to do anything with in the division.
It looks like you're in last place for the next few years
if you're the Cleveland Browns.
Let that man try and go compete for a ring
because one thing that you can say is he does not come
to work, he is not put in for the organization,
he has not cheated the game.
Let him go compete in the third,
no, I would say he's in the third,
halfway through the third quarter of his career.
Let him go do his thing.
Yeah, I don't have much to say about that,
Statham from Title Town.
I would like to reserve my comments for winners.
That is A-okay, understood.
So before we go to break, just real quick.
So obviously we know that Super
Bowl is on Sunday and then just looking at the festivities and things leading up to it.
Do you guys feel like the hype around the celebrations and the event itself has kind
of died down? Do you feel like traction has kind of went down? Do you feel like viewership
has went up or it's lowered? How are you guys feeling about the whole kind of celebrations
and things around it?
Maurice is gonna let you go first.
I felt like this for the last few weeks,
like these major events when I was a little bit younger,
you know, it used to be a thing to go to Super Bowl.
It used to be a thing to go to All-Star weekend
and like these major sporting events,
it was where you would see celebrities
and whoever was it, you would basically.
Your mother fuckers gonna have to shut the fuck up.
I'm taking it man.
My bad.
Okay man, these niggas coming in from the hand job spot.
My bad, Mo, sorry.
You going back?
My fault, sorry.
My bad, man.
These niggas all hand jobs down high things.
My fault.
Sorry about that. My bad, sorry. and job down at the institution. Now, son, my fuck.
Sorry about that. My bad, y'all, sorry, guys.
They just walked in, man.
Sorry, guys.
Like how do you pick back up from that?
Maurice, you were saying when you were younger,
you were like, you're invited.
The Super Bowl meant more than when he's older.
He's probably, see, the Super Bowl is not the same,
especially when you've been there as a younger person,
because you were singled in.
So now you're going there as a married man,
it's different from him.
That's really what he wants.
That's what it is.
He probably can't say it, so I'm just speak for him, you know?
So he don't see no reason in going, you know?
He can't enjoy himself.
He got to live through killer, you know?
Live through.
This is probably what it...
I'm not saying this is what Mo wanted to say.
This is kind of what they're emailing me about these days
when it come to these answers.
What?
So I was the exact question, viewership and what man?
Yeah, this how do you feel about all the events leading up to Super Bowl
and leading up to All-Star?
Because I mean, I know there is super big parties, super big festivities.
There's a lot more hype around it.
Do you feel like that's died down or do you feel like maybe your interest has changed around the
events? How do we feel about everything kind of getting up to it?
You know, it's a great question, Steph, because I had this conversation earlier
I'm gonna question that because I had this conversation earlier, cuz Murda, that bought me the birthday cake and
never she took it home and never gave me any of the cake.
So I-
Guys, we were all supposed to eat a piece.
I'm just telling you what happened.
I could eat a slice, so I did.
How you gonna eat people's cake before they're done?
He said, he said, he said.
You know what I noticed was that,
you know what I noticed was that,
and I had to take it into preparation,
I mean, not preparation, I mean,
that's the very rule of consideration,
is that, you know, that's a little sis, it's whatever.
Cause I was, after she bought me the cake,
I was going out, she's like, could you save me a piece?
I'm like, matter of fact, you can take it home.
And, cause I didn't want to sit in the car.
So I was like, you take it home and bring it back tomorrow
or whatever.
And tomorrow, Kay, and she didn't bring it back.
She didn't bring it back. She didn't bring it back.
She had gold cake in her nails.
Yeah, so then I,
Wow, that's foul.
I hit her last night and was like,
yesterday afternoon and was like,
if you don't mind, I would like that some of the cake
that you got me for my birthday, that'd be great.
You know what I'm saying?
Oh, good. She's like, all'd be great. You know what I'm saying? Oh, good.
She's like, all right, fine. Are you hot?
So she bought me the cape.
And then I took it to another thing consideration now.
Stad could hold any one of my cars anytime
she wanted to hold a car.
She got, I got more cars than I could drive.
You only could drive one, maybe,
a nigga like me, maybe three cars a day.
I have several cars.
So, Stad wanted a car, so I'm bringing it back tomorrow.
Turned it not tomorrow.
I'm like, Stad is fine,
and just let me know what's going on.
But then I thought about her slogan.
If you could get away with it.
Put it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's why she's sad.
I thought about the slogan. Ah, ha, ha, yeah, that's why she laugh.
I thought about the slogan, I said, all right, you gotta just remember that slogan,
if you could get away with it.
So I gotta check in with her every 20 minutes on things,
but she gonna have the cakes, the cards,
I just thought I'd bring that to attention.
Like I said, I don't even got enough room
in my motherfucking garage with all the cards,
I got shit dripping all on the street, all the cars.
Shit is a mess out here.
My shit, I ain't gonna lie.
My shit is a mess.
I'm just teasing about that, but I remember the slogan.
But the answer to the question,
it's about, and the reason I'm bringing this whole thing up
is because we had a conversation when she came out of Cribbon.
She was saying this is her first Super Bowl and she's exciting
everything and I'm like, I don't know, but Zeke's first Super Bowl, he got niggas robbed,
not me, but that was 27 years ago. So to me, the events and everything leading up to the
Super Bowl may not be as exciting to me as it is to somebody like Stat because this is
her first Super Bowl
and a lot of people who haven't been to Super Bowls
or maybe their first two, three years,
I've been to six, seven Super Bowls.
So it's not as exciting to me to lead them up to it.
I don't, you know, I used, for me, people like,
I used to like when Marshawn Lynch was in the Super Bowl
because I used to get to see his personalities
and he's a nigga with no personality
that has a personality.
I used to love seeing Marshawn Lynch,
I don't wanna talk to you niggas really.
I'm only here so I don't get fined.
You know what I'm saying?
Marshawn Lynch was one of my favorites.
So when you got people who have personality and you
want to see what they say day to day cool but as far as media is concerned who do I really want to
see talk for us leading up to Super Bowl with these two teams and I'm not saying people don't
have personalities but so far the most interesting person that I've seen leading up to the Super Bowl
is not even playing it was Jameis. He did something for the Super Bowl.
And I thought he was sensational doing it.
I thought he was better than his quarterback in this year, actually.
So I think about I think the answer to that question is about who.
You're asking the question to me, I'm ready for the game.
More than something, look, Mike looked like
he was pretty happy, Mike Irvin looked like,
see certain niggas, football players,
they may get a kick out this year, niggas, you know.
Yo, I'll be there Wednesday, nigga,
when you coming in, niggas who they may not see all year
till Super Bowl, you know what I'm saying?
So niggas like that, they may be excited.
Mike Urban gave us a lot of insight on curfews
and niggas which you do Sunday and Monday
and Tuesday and Wednesday,
and niggas not focused by Wednesday.
You know, there's a lot of insight that he gave us.
So maybe people like that excited.
Right now I haven't seen anything that's making me excited
to see media as far as the Super Bowl is concerned.
Am I excited for the game?
Absolutely.
But I haven't seen anything this year that makes me excited.
And as far as going,
I've been to a few Super Bowls, actually been the one in New Orleans, so
I'm ready for the game.
That makes sense.
And all of you guys kind of hit all good points
because like being single,
wanting to go out and mingle,
not have anybody checking for you.
Then also if it's a new experience
that you haven't done before,
that's a lot of the fun entertaining things.
Me personally, I'm so excited.
Because like I said,
haven't been to a Super Bowl,
excited to be there at the game,
even though a lot of people on the flip side
would love to watch the game on TV and do a watch party instead. Cause I mean, TV versus in person,
it's a lot different, especially if it's not like a divisional game where you know that you have
like specifically that home team fans there to kind of cheer and be like, you kind of have just
people coming from all over. So it's a different experience for different people. Like you guys
were saying, but I get it.
I'm excited.
And to Cam's point, I can't even argue about the cars
and the cake because I didn't do that.
It's all good.
I just remember the slogan.
That's it.
The slogan came.
That's not even, after 24 hours, I'm so prompt too,
but after the 24 hour, I'm like,
well, I'll just wait till he wants it.
Nah, you know I ain't tripping,
come get whatever card you want, whatever.
You can at least bought the cake, it was my birthday.
No, that is very valid.
I can't argue with that.
And I brought it immediately,
because I was like, he is so right. This is crazy.
But yes.
Thank you though.
You're welcome.
Okay.
We are going to go to break.
When we return, we're going to switch gears a little bit,
discuss basketball and then the Lakers new move.
Don't go anywhere. Oh
I wish somebody told me the rules disagreements let a win
and it's even when I'm right.
Welcome back. Now, let's get
into our underdog picks of the
day today. The Raptors will
play. Okay. See underdog has SGA
at thirty-one and a half points.
Do you have a higher or lower mace? Hi. Yeah, that nigga, that nigga motherfucker.
You say SGA?
Yes.
Yeah, 50.
He's in a zone.
I know what it is.
When you're in that, he's in a wild zone right now.
I'm gonna go hide.
No, you don't mind, you see that shit?
That nigga Brandon Ingram out there?
The Toronto, the Raptors?
You seen that? Nah, nah. Yeah, they Toronto, the Raptors. You seen that?
Nah, nah.
Yeah, they put that nigga in Toronto.
They say he keep playing with niggas.
Take it out the country.
They definitely getting rid of Zion then.
I think they gonna blow the team up.
We'll see what happens.
I think Zion's safe for now.
Okay, Grady Dick is at 14 and a half points.
Do you have him higher or lower camp?
That's his name.
Like, what do you want me to say?
Like, what'd you want me to say?
He can't really.
Whatever. You can't, because the answer is a poor smothering I'm gonna go higher.
Because the answer is a pause rather than either.
That's why we waiting on.
I'm gonna go higher.
Pause.
Can't say you're going low.
That's what I'm trying to. can't say you going to go higher Scot Bars is at 20 and a half points. Do you have my higher lower Mace?
How many? 20 and a half points. I'm going lower. I'm gonna go higher. Okay. If you like these picks,
remember you always get a free pick if you're not already on underdogs. Make sure to report the show.
Sign up now and you can make your picks too. So the Lakers traded Dalton Connect, Cam Reddish,
a 20-31 unprotected first round pick, and a 20-30 pick swap to the Hornets for
center Mark Williams.
Do you guys feel like this solves the Lakers' big man issue?
Do you like this for the Lakers?
Maurice, what do you think?
Uh, it brings those ability. Obviously, when you send Anthony Davis out of there,
this is a young and up and coming guy who basically brings some relief to the
team. So I don't know if it solves all the issues with Lakers. I just was
watching them play. Um, who would have planned tonight to go to state warriors
and they looked a little bit better.
So, uh, I don't know if it solves all the issues
that are getting them to a championship,
but it definitely helps to replace, uh, Anthony Davis.
And I've not seen the guy play that much,
so I don't want to sound silly or stupid,
uh, trying to give some crazy analysis.
Yeah, I think Konek was a, uh, he's going to turn around
and be a big loss for them
no matter what they do in these next couple of years because
He just got it Paul so much upside to him
You could see him like being a future future all-star or something of that caliber
being a big man that could shoot the ball and
You know, give me a lot of a gave me a lot of upside to the team
if they have patience with them.
But the Lakers seem like they want people
that they could win today with.
And so I definitely understand that.
And securing the foreign court with this pick,
I mean, with this draft, I mean, not draft or pick,
but with this trade, lets you know where their mindset was at.
They had this secured a big man and they did exactly that.
And to get rid of him and Kam Reddish,
I think they secured some cap for the future as well
to bring in somebody else.
So it was, to me, it was a pretty good move.
Yeah, I'm gonna go with Mo.
I've seen him play a lot,
but I know that that was the big thing the last few days.
It was a thing before Anthony Davis actually left
that they wanted to get another big man.
But this is a guy averaging 15 points, 9.6 rebounds.
He's almost averaging a double-double.
I haven't seen him play much,
but looking at the numbers,
it looks like it brings a little bit of stability.
But if he gets in foul trouble, what's the plan as well?
So it makes people feel more comfortable
being that the trade deadline has gone and went,
just that they have somebody who's a stable center.
Like I said, I don't know too much about them,
but it's not easy to average a double-double in the NBA,
big man and not.
So maybe it does bring some stability.
The question is if this guy gets in foul trouble,
what's next?
Yeah, that's a good point.
What'd you say, Mase?
No, I was saying that's a good point.
If he get in foul trouble,
they're still back at the same place.
And then just to add, obviously we know Dalton Connect
was a rookie newer player, but he did have a lot of upside.
He is a good shooter.
We've seen that he broke like the rookie single season
record for three pointers playing very well.
So with that being said, I want to kind of get you guys'
perspective on this.
Gilbert Arenas actually believes that Dalton Connect
was traded because he wasn't passing the ball to Brawny.
Cause the argument was like, why are we getting rid
of younger players?
We could kind of build upon the team.
Yes, we got Luca.
He could put up points, but why get rid of Dalton
if he is a good piece for the Lakers?
Do you guys see that being an actual valid issue,
him not passing the ball to Brawny, or you feel like that has nothing to do
with why he's one of the people traded?
I would like to believe Gilbert Arenas was strolling,
knowing that he joked a lot.
I don't think Bronny would have been in the game enough
to even have that level of interaction.
But to build off of Mase's point, you know,
it looks like the Lakers want to win now, knowing that LeBron has, just like Miles Garedi has, his better
years are behind him. And so, you know, we have to trade, get some value now to basically
try to win the championship as soon as possible or put ourselves in a position to do so?
So I mean, I'm sorry.
I think Gilbert Arena would be trolling, but I think he'd be telling the truth too.
I think he's a troll truth teller.
I don't know anything about this situation.
We're not passing the Brownie and so on and so forth.
But what I will say is this,
it isn't like Brownie had a bunch of minutes.
And it wasn't like he's in the game a lot.
So I don't know exactly where Gilbert's source comes from,
but Gilbert is a Laker fan,
and I'm pretty sure he's watching what's going on
more than the average person who's just watching the NBA
or who isn't a Laker fan.
So I'll take it as face value,
but I don't know Bronnie to get a lot of minutes.
He's in the garbage top most of the time.
Maybe Gilbert seen one or two passes,
he didn't pass it to, I don't know.
But I like to believe Gilbert trolls truthfully.
And I don't know if this is one of them situations, but I don't know. But I like to believe Gilbert trolls truthfully. And I don't know if this is one of them situations,
but I don't know.
I know.
Rookies to me,
if you're not elite,
and I'm not taking away from any rookie,
so it's sometimes it takes some time.
You know, when I say elite,
I'm thinking of John Moran,
I'm thinking of Zion, even though he was hurt
most of the time.
Thinking about LeBron James,
thinking about Carmelo Anthony.
It's gonna take some time, so I don't know.
We all seen Stat talk about this Triple J nigga.
I don't know where he's at.
You know?
You know?
You know?
You know?
You know?
Oh, very much on the heat, but you know. Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, know, know, know all these fucking nickname, triple J's, you do, you do, you do it. Yo, he's nice. This is, I don't know. I'm not jacking up. I'm
not jacking the rookies until I see something that makes me want to pay attention to them
until then. Don't get me wrong. It's not going to happen for a lot of rookies overnight.
So build your resume. Hopefully it works out for you in the trade
and we'll see what happens moving forward.
Yeah, he probably talking about the time
he dribbling the ball, he go like that
and then just shoot it or he dribble the ball
and fake like he was gonna give it to Brownie and shoot it.
But if I'm gonna miss, Eva, I'm gonna miss.
So you're gonna miss.
I'm probably thinking you're going to miss. so I might as well shoot it, you know?
No, I like that mentality, Macy.
And because you got that mentality,
please don't bring up I didn't pass you the ball anymore,
being at your thinking like that.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
It's on tape now. It's recorded.
It's here.
Yeah, if you're gonna miss, and I might miss, I'm gonna shoot it. now. It's recording. Nick, please hold this to the side, please. Mine was a layup though.
He was at the three point line. But I get I get it. I'm not comparing the situation.
I wouldn't think that I passed it to you a miss.
I'm not thinking you was gonna miss anything.
I'm just saying you understand.
That's all I'm saying.
That's it, I'm not saying that you would have missed.
I'm just saying you understand.
You get it.
See what I mean, Moe?
Nigga start wearing purple, nigga.
Think I'm drunk now.
I gotta take this purple off.
Yo, murder, murder, murder.
I'm ready.
Murder, murder, murder.
I'm Mr. Purple Haze, bro.
You all right?
You good?
I'm good.
I'm good.
You good?
Daddy, yo. I just want to add real quick, even though Gilbert does troll,
the take isn't too far fetched because we'll see a little bit more over time.
But if you really think about it, anybody who was a potential threat
to Ronnie or his playing time is kind of out of there.
So and I know we're not basing things around Ronnie
because we have other key pieces to focus on,
but even like you get rid of Dalton Kinnett,
you get rid of Max Christie,
like a lot of the younger players.
What was the other guard that was super nice?
It was another guy, I think Oliver or something.
Fancy Oliveri.
Yeah.
He's on two way.
As I said, a lot of those people
who were kind of a threat to Brawny are not so
much in the picture. So it's not far fetched. Just saying.
That's what happened when you come across the rich Paul mafia. The rich Paul mafia,
you know, people get missing. Things happen. The rich poor mafia.
I support it.
They can get away with it.
They got to do do what you got to do.
That's all I'm going to say.
My goodness that they can't wait to bring all your clips back up and say, if they can get away with it.
At least I'm consistent.
So last thing, that's why you want to see me wearing red.
So last thing before we wrap.
So the NCAA actually changes participation policy for transgender athletes, limiting competition in women's sports to athletes who were assigned female at birth.
Move came one day after President Donald Trump signed an executive order intended to ban transgender athletes from girls and women's sports.
Maurice, what's your stance on this?
Yeah, you know, you compete, there's an obvious difference, a
biological difference, you know, when you're competing against women in sports.
Now, whatever somebody wants to do socially, I don't have any bearing on that.
Whatever you want to do socially, whatever you want to do sexually, that's your business.
You have the freedom and the right to do so.
But when you're talking about competing against sports, there is
a big physical difference in sports. So we, or men are just naturally stronger. We produce a different
level of testosterone and it creates a competitive disadvantage for people who are naturally born
women. So in a sporting world, my care and somebody's everyday social life, whatever they choose to do, be it transgender or sexuality, that's all personal choice.
Yeah, so if they didn't stop this, then we will probably have women playing football
in college.
Would that be something that would have came out of that, Moe?
From your end?
They would allow them to do so, and I don't say this in any joking way, but it would become a
mockery. We will be trying to lessen the talent or do special things to honor women who are trying
to participate in sports, and I think think that she lose the integrity of the actual
game. And that's why that's what I was saying just like you know certain things like a man can't box
a woman in most cases a professional boxer, professional man boxer, and a professional woman
just because there's too much of a physical difference. And so when you're trying to include
somebody else it's like you know when you try to do special things for people, special scenarios, you know like you do something for people with developmental disabilities and you're trying to include somebody else, it's like, you know, when you try to do special things for people, special scenarios, you know, like you do something for people with developmental
disabilities and you're trying to include them and, you know, it's more of an honoring
that person. And so they can participate. Once you take it to women, and you get into
this other realm of stuff, it just becomes something different.
Yeah, I'm gonna make this really quick. I think Mo, your take was 100% on point. Whatever you want to do on your off times, sexually, socially, everything else.
But as far as sports, I'm so happy. I'm a million percent in support of this. I'm not even sugarcoating it. I think this is 100% correct. Dave Chappelle had a stand up and he made a great point.
He said, let LeBron James get a sex change
and go play in the WNBA.
The average 297 points.
All right?
Damn.
Pretty much.
That's it.
Stan, what would you like to say about it?
Um, I don't, I think it's like, I think it really depends.
I think it comes down to like having one person kind of make that decision for everybody.
I think it really depends on the sport itself because
that's a realm that I can't understand and I can't relate to because that's not something
that I'm going through. Like I know that people go through different psychological changes,
go through gender change and stuff like that. And so if that's something that people within
that because we're just thinking like, I think we're just thinking basically NFL, NBA.
Like that's not really an issue within those sports.
But when it comes to like, I don't know, women's basketball,
women's soccer, if that community,
I feel like is comfortable with that for them,
I think that decision should be based upon
what they wanna do rather than me making that decision
for them.
Cause if they're cool with like, look,
this is how we play, you know, my teammate transitioned
and we're comfortable of all playing together
and that's what they do, y'all got that.
I don't wanna make that decision for them
because I don't know what they go through.
I don't know how they handle that.
I don't know how they handle things with their peers
and I don't understand their communities to tell them
that they are not allowed to do that.
So I think it should be based upon, you know,
their head of whoever handles their rules
and they decide that for themselves.
I think universally, I don't know the repercussions
of if that makes people feeling safe.
I don't know the repercussions if that makes somebody feel
like they don't belong.
Like, I don't want to be the one to make that decision
for them.
So that's how I feel about it, if that makes any sense.
Man, you got a daughter,
you tell her you can be all you can be as an athlete.
She's training hard, she's working hard,
she's doing everything she can be
to be the top woman in the world.
Just use swimming.
There ain't no physical contact in swimming. And some guy says I want
to be a woman, which like I said, I don't care to do socially. But he's been working
out as a man leading up to this change. Now you just told your daughter she could be all she could be. And somebody just took that away from her
because they have more testosterone than she has.
I don't like it.
And I don't like that you be politically correct.
I'm not even being politically correct.
I promise you I'm not even being politically correct.
That's just how I feel.
You want some Michael Irvin shit today.
Which is for,
do you like it or you don't?
I just can't tell somebody,
I don't know what,
I can't tell somebody you can or can't.
That's up to y'all and y'all's community.
I don't gotta deal with that.
We can't tell them if they can or can't.
We just give them our opinion.
That's all we do.
That is quite literally my stance. You know what, you know what, you know what, I dig this. That's what we doing. That is quite literally sense.
You know what, you know what, you know,
I dig it.
I don't wanna take it.
My thing is this.
That's my side.
I can't tell y'all what's in there.
I think we should end the show on this.
Mo, you actually have a daughter.
How would you feel about that?
I ain't feelin' it.
Y'all doing a push, but that's it.
No, I will say two things.
One, I don't like it. I start, you are being politically correct, but it's cool. You got, and I's it. No, I will say two things. One, I don't like it.
I sat you are being politically correct, but it's cool.
You got it?
Yeah, it's cool.
Right?
It's so cool.
Yeah.
Mayor Irvin and Statenville put him on the card.
Oh, like Miami, like that's just how we think.
I'm sorry.
No, but you know,
and I'm pretty sure you can Google this,
the example that you just gave, Cam, that really happened.
There was a man who was like the 200 best swimmer
in the world and then he went to get some girls.
You can Google this and he ended up dominating.
Like the 200-
Yeah, no, Mike, not to cut you off.
I know it seemed fictional, but I know what you,
I was talking about that, but give more context
to what I was talking about.
Yeah, I don't know the details, but he was like,
you know, like the 200 best swimmer,
I'm pretty sure stat baby.
You can go ahead and get the stats and the details,
but then he went over to women and all the women protested
and they quit swimming because they like,
yo, this is unfair.
Like we worked our entire lives to get to a point.
And then now we have to watch this man
who's transitioned to a woman or identifies as a woman
basically ruin, just ruin the fabric of what we work for.
And so my opinion may not be popular,
but it's how I feel and I think that that's-
Not, and to add on to what Mo said,
so we have more context, I'm glad,
I didn't realize that I wasn't letting people know
this really happened.
The nigga was like 200, I don't know the exact number,
but he wasn't right.
The nigga was number one when he changed over.
Come on.
Come on, man.
How you go from 150 swim up in the world for the man?
And not the cut, and let's be super duper clear
cause niggas will take a sound bite and not the cut. And let's be super duper clear because niggas will take a soundbite and run with it.
And we gonna save our soundbite Nick.
What you do on your personal time outside of sports,
we do not have a problem with at all.
Not at all.
We do not care.
I just think it's unfair competing in sports.
I don't care who you sleep with.
I don't care if you're here with high heels.
I don't care if you wear lipstick.
That is not my business. I don't care who you sleep with, I don't care if you're here wearing high heels, I don't care if you're wearing lipstick, that is not my business, I don't care.
But just competing is just not fair with certain things.
And to be fair to Statt, I get what she's saying.
Because she's saying maybe they can't compete.
Maybe, for instance, like let's just use tennis for example.
They might be better tennis players,
better women-wise than men.
I think Serena and her sister probably
can beat a bunch of men.
But at the end of the day, certain things,
and that's why I say I'm gonna be a real benefit
of the Datsun, certain sports outside of contact sports
is for them to be determined, but is it fair
if you go from the 100th best swimmer
to the number one women swimmer?
It's kind of wild.
Yeah, last thing I'll add, I totally understand you guys' points and I totally understand where you guys are coming from number one women's swimmer is kind of wild. Yeah.
Last thing I'll add,
I totally understand you guys' points
and I totally understand where you guys are coming from.
Cause it's just like, yeah,
when you're thinking about just like comparing things,
it's like, why would a man be in a women's sport?
And I totally get that.
I just think that some things aren't that concrete.
And so I, like I'm saying,
I just don't want to be the person
to make that decision for them.
I just think that should be up to them. I have friends in the LGBTQ plus community.
They all feel differently about different things, especially like working in women's sports and talking to different people.
Like people feel differently about that. So I would like to support them.
However, they want to be supported in their sport. I'm not the one playing that sport.
So y'all go crazy because I'm not the one doing that.
I just don't want to be the one to make that decision for them.
That's all I'm saying.
But I can't understand where you guys are coming from.
Yeah. And lastly, everybody out there, go watch Joanna Man, the movie.
OK, well, that is all the time that we have for today. Maurice, always a pleasure to have
you. Thanks for coming on the show as always.
Good seeing you Mo. You already been.
All black Mo, you is what it is. What you want nigga? Everything nigga supersized Two big necks
