You know what I'm saying
You got Florida Gators in there
You got all kind of colors in there
What you mean, Stat?
I didn't say a word You got on everything but Anything to do with the Knicks You got on kind of colors in there. What you mean? I didn't say a word.
You got on everything but anything to do with the Knicks.
You got on a Mets hat and a Rangers jersey.
You have nothing with the Knicks on.
You didn't even hear the troll.
I know what's going on.
You and Sin.
Y'all spoke.
And Sin, I don't even know why he went for it.
He thought he got a friend. Yeah. Sin thinks he got a friend. And Sin is, Sin, I don't even know why he went for it. He thought he got a friend.
Yeah.
Sin think he got a friend.
I'm like,
yeah,
murder.
Me,
Sin,
and Mace was on the phone
and Mace Gafflin
sent her about
Cam Don't Get It.
And he's like,
yeah,
tell the nigga.
I said,
Mace will switch up
on you tomorrow,
man.
I'm disgusted by the colors.
I don't even know
where you found
the orange flight dress at.
I'm gonna give you that, though. I'm gonna give you that. New York nigg even know where you found the orange flight, Joyce. I'm going to give you that, though.
I'm going to give you that.
New York niggas, boy.
I'll tell you, man.
I'll tell you.
Yes, son.
Greenland camp back in the garden.
Niggas is wild, bro.
Okay.
Okay, so of course at the top of the show,
there's a couple series that we got to start out by discussing.
So the Nuggets beat the Lakers 108-106 and Jamal Murray hit the game winner to eliminate the Lakers.
How did you guys feel about the way this series went?
I mean, this series between the Lakers and the Nuggets went exactly the way we said
we wanted this offseason to go.
You want all of the, and not just Denver, but more so Minnesota, OKC.
We wanted to see the young guns go against the aging superstars.
And what we saw in this Laker and now Nugget series
was that Jamal Murray just took over.
But Cam said that yesterday.
He said it depends on if Murray is playing.
If Murray is playing, that they were going to be out.
So his prediction was true.
But I want to talk about that dunk on LeBron.
When he dunked on LeBron, I think that sealed it for me.
There's always something like that that happens that lets you know when a new era.
Because LeBron is always the guy that you're scared to lay the ball up with
because you know he'll run your dunk down or run your layup down.
And to see that dunk on LeBron, I was like, oh, yeah, they about to send him home.
That's what I would think.
Yeah, that dunk was, it wasn't Ant-Man shit, but it was, it was I.
And more to me is the credit of LeBron, and I'm going to get to Denver in a minute,
the credit of LeBron for even jumping.
Niggas wasn't jumping with Ant-Man yesterday
when he was coming out the lane.
Niggas wasn't jumping.
And LeBron, pardon me, still playing defense at this age.
It was a shot on Murray where he chased him down
and blocked it last game, I believe.
Yeah.
But, yeah, I believe if Murray won, that would be the difference.
But what I will say is this about the Lakers.
LeBron was getting crazy, though.
Yeah, I'm just saying about this series.
Before tonight's game, I don't have the exact numbers
of tonight's game, but throughout the
series leading up to this game, the
Lakers were winning for, I believe it was like
132 minutes
to Denver's
47 minutes or something like that
to where, you know, the
combined minutes of the game.
Yeah.
They were saying that the Lakers were winning like over close to a hundred
minutes more than Denver was leading.
And if you look at this,
um,
this could easily,
I mean,
the series is over and everything,
but this could easily be a three,
one lead for the Lakers.
This is two buzzer beaters from Jamal Murray in the same series.
So if he don't hit these buzzer beaters and they go into overtime,
Lakers win.
This series was closer than it seemed to me.
Close, but no cigar.
That doesn't get it.
One inning for 100-something minutes more, two buzzer beaters.ers the Lakers came to play but it just wasn't enough I said
it would go five but Denver just they impose they will that's a championship
team what I think about Denver though is that I'll say I don't see the depth that
they had last year Bruce Brown is going. Green went to Houston.
And you could tell
this
series that they're missing that. I think
Reggie Jackson and Brown coming off the bench
is good, but I don't think it's as good
as what they had last year.
And we'll see next round. So congratulations
to Denver, but they didn't look as dominant
this series as we're used to seeing them
dominating to me.
And I think it was a coaching lapse also that to Denver, but they didn't look as dominant this series as we're used to seeing them dominating to me. Yeah.
And I think it was a coaching lapse also that coming down the stretch pause
that for the last shot, you cannot have a guard the same height
as Jamal Murray on Murray for the last shot.
That's just a coaching malfunction.
You got to put somebody like Russell on him or somebody
with a longer wingspan because you know he's going to get crazy. That made no sense to put
Reeves on him. When I saw that, I was like, oh, that's like anybody. You got a white boy on you
for the game. That's a bucket. Anybody get the ball. It's a bucket.
It's almost disrespectful to be guarding me with seven seconds.
Like, oh, these niggas think I'm not like that.
Got to show these niggas again.
Well, you're right, Mase, because he obviously showed y'all this series.
He's like that with AD on the way.
AD fell in the crowd.
Yeah, like this nigga think he gonna get his name back on defense?
Yeah.
Nah, nigga.
Okay.
So this is an interesting stat I wanted to share.
So the Nuggets beat the Lakers on opening night.
They beat them the night the franchise unveiled Kobe Bryant's statue.
They also beat them the night LeBron became the first player to reach 40,000 points.
And then they beat the Lakers to end their season.
Also going off of what you said,
do you guys feel like there's anything else the Lakers could have done
to better prepare against the Nuggets?
Yes.
They could have bought Anthony Davis some shoulder pads.
That's what they could have did to win this series.
Did you see him
bumped into his
shoulder,
killing his shoulder
was hurt?
I,
every time,
every time he gets in there,
he's always hurt.
Last game,
he,
every,
every,
he's always,
then you gotta be concerned.
He just moved into him
and he went like this.
Oh,
I was like,
yo,
he didn't fall or anything. Yeah, I missed
that one. But I see him all
series, everything.
Grab his hand. He's got to stop, yeah.
Yeah, it really does, man.
The stat that you're talking about, stat,
I actually heard Stephen A. Smith talk about
that probably last week.
That the Lakers, pardon me,
the Nuggets just spoil every
big event for the Lakers.
So when they was, where was it?
They invited the first game of the season, the Lakers to Denver to watch them get their rings.
Yeah.
And then where was it?
The statue?
Yeah.
Kobe Bryant's statue.
When it was Kobe Bryant's statue, Denver was in town and they beat them there.
When LeBron scored 40,000 points, they lost that night to Denver.
Like, Denver spoils all the big parties for the Lakers.
And when I heard Stephen A say that a week ago, I was like,
this is just disrespectful.
I remember at the beginning of the season, this season,
when the Lakers opened at night,
the crowd was chanting,
who's your daddy
to the Lakers.
The Denver crowd was like,
who's your daddy?
Do, do, do, do, do.
That's super disrespectful.
Who's your daddy?
Yeah, it's wild disrespectful.
That's super disrespectful.
So I think,
I don't know if it was more
that they could have done
to prepare for the series,
but at some point, you got to take the disrespect personally.
And I'm not sitting there saying,
go Draymond Green or Kevin McHale, Clothesline, Kurt Rambis,
or anything of that nature,
but something has to get done to where they got to respect you.
They're not respecting you guys whatsoever.
Now it's trickled into the fans where the fans don't respect you. They're not respecting you guys whatsoever. Now it's trickled into the fans where the fans don't
respect you. So, I don't
know what they could have done better to prepare for
the series, but it just
sometimes niggas got your number.
You know, you probably could beat up
out of 100 niggas, 99
niggas, but one nigga
just got your number. Kind of like
Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.
Yeah, he could beat everybody up. Yeah, this nigga just got your number, bro. like Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury. Yeah. He can beat everybody.
Yeah, this nigga
just got your number, bro.
It's not going to work.
So that's kind of why
I'm taking the Denver-LA rivalry,
if you want to call it a rivalry.
It's more like a bully situation,
to be honest with you.
And it's really get back
because you remember
when we was growing up,
LA used to always smack Denver.
Yeah. So This is just
Get back for all those years
They probably feel
Really good about this
In Denver
Well yeah
Listen man
When they have Mello out there
Yeah I was about to say
Look you can go back
To Raul
Yeah
You can go back
To Kembe Mutombo
You can go back
For years
Look I remember
I remember
Before a game
It was Denver Vers versus the Lakers
and they asked Carmelo Anthony
it was a sweep
not a sweep
a closeout game situation.
He's like,
what's the worst thing
that could happen tonight?
He said,
if the crowd starts
chanting MVP
for Kobe
and Kobe busts their ass
and they were screaming
MVP MVP in Denver for Kobe. And Kobe busted ass, and they were screaming,
MVP in Denver for Kobe Bryant.
I think that was the worst of Who's Your Daddy.
When your arena starts cheering MVP for the opposing team,
it was crazy.
They actually just did that in Philly for Jalen Brunson.
He's shooting foul shots.
You hear MVP chants in the arena for Jalen Brunson. Crowd starts, he's shooting foul shots. You hear MVP chants in the arena for Jalen Brunson.
I was like, wow,
that's wild disrespectful.
Whether it's New York fans or not,
it's just disrespectful
to hear your home arena
that somebody screams MVP
for the opposite team star player.
Okay.
And then the Thunder sweep,
the Pelicans 97 to 89
in advance to the semifinals
for their first playoff series win since
2016. How are you guys feeling about
OKC's run?
This OKC
team is looking
I don't know who's looking more dominant
as a team. If it's
OKC or
Minnesota
but that seem to be like
the two teams that should meet.
I'm not sure yet because
they're going to play Denver next.
But this series,
I'm really surprised at Ingram
and how he did not show up.
I'm not sure if he's hurt or something
going on, but he just doesn't
look like himself. C.J. McCollum still was looking like CJ McCollum,
but I didn't expect him to beat OKC.
And OKC was definitely the team to run through them.
And what else can I say?
I think Shea is proving why he's MVP.
I think Shea is proving why he's MVP.
From the first two games,
we could see that New Orleans wasn't going to win without Zion.
Yeah.
And I know Zion is pissed because last time we seen Zion on the court, he was giving LeBron James 40 points
and looking like the man-child
that we thought he was going to come in the NBA to be.
So we've seen that two games
that New Orleans wasn't going to win.
Ingram, I think he's not 100% healthy.
I don't know this for a fact,
but you could tell he wasn't all the way there.
He didn't have any real games leading up
into the playoffs
to gain any momentum or any rhythm to get with the team.
But what I will say is this, I will give OKC credit
and we'll see what happens in the next round
because it won't be the New Orleans Pelicans
that you guys are playing.
What I will say is this, we have to look at this, man.
And we talked about this
earlier in the season
and before the playoffs started.
Actually, right now,
we have no Steph Curry,
no LeBron James,
no Kevin Durant
in the playoffs right now.
And not due to injury.
Yeah, that is looking crazy.
We have no...
All three of them players are out. Not due to injury. Yeah, that is looking crazy. We have no, all three of them players are out
not due to injury.
We're not talking about Zion
or Jimmy Butler
or Giannis or somebody.
You guys got eliminated.
And stuff,
you didn't even make it
to the playoffs.
So,
at the end of the day,
we're looking at a changing
of the guard,
so to speak,
when you got Shea Gildress in the second round, Ant-Man in the second round. Not only in the second round.
I give a little more credit to Minnesota more than OKC
because it isn't like they play New Orleans.
They play three all-stars, two potentials.
You know Kevin Durant's a superstar.
I don't know in some people's eyes if Devin Booker's a superstar, just an all-stars, two potentials. You know, Kevin Durant's a superstar. I don't know
in some people's eyes
if Devin Booker's a superstar
or just an all-star.
Bradley Beal's an all-star
for several years.
So it isn't like
you just knock some niggas
out that,
whatever.
Like, okay,
I'm not trying to discredit
New Orleans,
but it's like,
whatever.
Y'all niggas ain't have Zion.
Ingram's not playing good.
McCullough can't do it by himself.
So I'm thinking maybe New Orleans should have won a game,
but you got two young studs sweeping in the first round,
going on to the next round.
And I'm excited to see it, to be honest with you,
because look, who else do we have that been the lead
more than 10 years, actually, right now,
that's a superstar that's in
the next round i can't even think of anybody right now off the top of my head maybe yannis and and or
maybe the clippers have said and kyle george paul george um james hart and right kairi still there
but everybody else hasn't been there really more than 10 years.
Joel Embiid, 10 years on the dot.
So we have a lot of young superstars and all-stars that's in the playoffs,
and it's only a few guys left from over 10 years ago in the playoffs. So we're actually witnessing this in front of our eyes, and it's a joy to see.
But as far as OK okc you will not be
playing new orleans next round you're either going to get the clippers or you're going to get dallas
and it's going to be wasted for competition so pause so we're going to see exactly how that
plays out moving forward and i think i think it's only going to get worse next year so for everybody
that's thinking oh all these teams will be back, like the Kevin Durants,
the LeBrons,
and Stephen Curry,
these are all
West Coast teams
that's going to get better.
You know, after you win,
you get even more courage,
more confidence.
So you're going to be
looking at a more
confident Ant-Man,
a more confident Shea
after the person
get MVP.
It's like, nah, this is my league now.
Right.
You know?
And a lot of us tend to forget,
and I think that he's going to be furious next year.
Ja.
Ja's looking at this like, my little niggas?
Yeah, I got my little niggas going crazy.
Ja's going to come back
next year
and act a damn fool
for,
you know,
God willing,
he doesn't get hurt.
But you got to think,
Ant-Man came in
after Ja
the next year.
These are niggas like,
nah.
Y'all got them niggas
sweet, yo.
Word,
exactly.
So I think Ja
watches this
and
that's like,
I'm just trying to put myself in his shoes.
It's like, nah, not him.
Nah, I know he ain't going wild.
So I really believe.
It's like Tank watching a fight with Ryan and all.
Right, right.
That's a great example.
That's a great example.
Like, I know y'all, I just fucked him up.
This y'all champs.
So niggas forgot yesterday.
I bet.
Say no more.
And I think John's going to have a lot to say next year.
And I think what his trials and tribulations over the last couple years was causing him not to be in the light where we're putting Shea at
or we're putting Anthony Edwards at right now.
He's supposed to be right there.
Yeah.
And I think that an Urca person,
that's as good as he is
because he's like,
I know these niggas.
Yeah, this is going to give us better games though
because now it's a new league.
That's basically what it looks like
is a new league.
And once Ja comes back
and you see these niggas
won with who they had,
you definitely
got to win now, Jha.
Yeah, this is true.
Okay.
And then the Celtics
beat the Heat
102-88.
Porzingis got injured
and will undergo
imaging later today.
Does this affect
the Celtics' next game
or do you think
they'll be fine?
What happened to him again?
He got injured. Right calf
something. They're not winning without
they're not
winning without Porzingis.
It's almost like it comes right back to
that conversation that we were having
that only the postseason
matters for the Boston
Celtics. So it doesn't matter
how well White plays.
Doesn't matter how much Jalen Brown contributes.
It's going to come down to Tatum and getting it done.
And I think for Porzingis to get hurt puts the focus right back where it needs to be.
And that's on Tatum to get it done.
Nobody is coming to help Tatum.
Tatum, you're going to have to win this on your own.
And I like it to be that way
because I'm from that era
of basketball. When we win, it's because
I beat you, and you know I beat
you, Pauls. What do you think,
Killer? Why is it on Tatum when you
said Brown is Batman? Why it ain't on Brown?
Because they don't
market him as Batman.
Just like you said, Killer.
You said that on...
I'm just asking.
If he's your Batman, why is it on Taylor?
You know what?
Hey, Nick, you got that clip.
You got that clip, Nick.
God, I got a bunch of shit in my phone.
I can't wait.
I've been waiting.
Yeah, you got that clip. Nick, let's do it a bunch of shit in my phone. I can't wait. I've been waiting. Yeah, you got that clip.
Nick, let's do it.
Yeah.
Let's do it.
Let's do it.
Let's do it.
I saved everything.
I know you see that they was tagging you.
And I got something to say.
Could you put the camera on me real quick?
Yeah, put the camera on.
I know Mase always talking about they sent me this and they sent me that.
I had an investigation going on.
White bread, if this is what you want to do,
give her information.
I'm telling you now, white.
White ain't they.
If white is white, if you want to keep giving them info,
DM me, I'm going to pay you.
Mace ain't saying nothing for the basketball team,
for the kids, for nothing.
White, hit me if you want to give information.
Stop giving me information.
He's never going to look out for them kids.
He's not sending back for,
he's not sending nothing back for the team
and saying nothing.
You better off giving me the information.
You better off giving me the information
Yeah, I know, Kim
Like the back of my hand
You know I knew you was going to say that, Kim
You knew I was going to blame White
I did an investigation, man
Yeah, I know you better than you know yourself, yo
I knew it
I knew it
I knew White
White is the
White is dead.
That's white bread.
I'm telling you, I'm going to give back to the kids.
Murder going to tell you he's busy with his son, but it's like the clear.
I'm telling you.
You know, murder.
You know, we're trying to get the team indictment.
They say, yo, I'm going to hit you back.
I'll pay for the team indictment, white.
You're better off sending me to the...
I just gave them the money, man.
I knew you was going to pay me.
They can pay you more.
I covered all my tracks.
That was smart.
That was smart. That was smart.
I didn't care.
I know this nigga. He think he know me.
I said, I know
what you're trying to do.
I tried to
steal him like Muddy Waters.
I tried to steal
Muddy Waters stole the band number from the Highland Wolf and all that. I tried to steal my money money money
money
stole the
band number
from the
Highland Wolf
and all that
alright
you paid
I cleared
alright
alright
your wife
that ain't gonna
get y'all
the sneakers
that's just
getting
that's just
getting y'all
in the tournament
if y'all
want the sneakers That's just getting y'all in the tournament. If y'all want to sneak us.
Y'all want to sneak us.
Oh, shit.
I told you I know this, baby.
I see the receipt.
Can you pay?
I'm shocked.
You knew I was going to say that to you.
Like, let me just, let me just fade now.
Yo, white.
White, I got sneakers and all type of shit.
They want some chains.
Oh, shit.
Yo, be honest with you.
Yeah, they want the snap off. I'll be honest with you. Yeah, they want the snap off.
I'll be honest with you, Mase.
I ain't even going to do the Jalen Brown shit with you,
the Tame shit, because I ain't got no problem with you.
I'm here with Stat.
Stat don't got no red and black or nothing today.
It ain't talking about shit quiet.
My beef.
I ain't even got no problem with you.
Where's the red and black?
Where's we got a chance?
We should never win.
I'm just saying,
I said it was a big chance.
That's what you said.
And he was like,
hi.
So I don't even got time for Mason.
Where's everybody?
Where's you?
Where's that? Where's that?
Because when they went over there, she said,
I did say it was a big chance.
I did.
Okay.
I literally did.
Why don't we leave this like this?
It's just, A, like this just isn't,
we're not in the best situation.
I mean, yes, they lost Perzingis,
and you would think that they would not perform well without him.
But I mean, if Derek White, he dropped 38 points, if he's going to continue to
play like that, then I mean,
shout out to him. But I mean, we have to play
better offensively. Like, I feel like if
Tyler Hero is not dropping 20 plus points,
like, we have no chance. Like, we don't
have Jimmy Butler who's adding more points.
He was right there with 19. That's not
enough. What about Caleb Martin
shipping an 18? That's cool too. It's not
enough. They need to be scoring over 20.
It can't just be Bam
scoring over 20 points.
What happened to Duncan?
Where's Duncan at?
I think he's still injured.
He had three minutes
and he scored zero.
Like,
I don't think he's at his best.
That's what I'm saying.
They're going to put him in
because they're like,
at this point,
put everybody in
and see who's going to score.
But that is not working.
They found out the way to make adjustments
and stop us
when they were letting
everybody shoot threes
they said we can't do that
this is why we're not
performing as well
it happens
it's still Miami
but Celtics
are on a good run right now
yeah shout out
to Mama Rozier
she hit us up
said she loved the show
killer
oh thank you man
we appreciate it.
Sorry that your son's not playing.
It might be a better situation, man,
because, you know, you get this one win the other day,
and then here we go.
Just like all these Minnesota.
Look, I've never seen so many Minnesota fans all of a sudden.
Everybody got wolves.
Stop fitting hats now, niggas. People out here in Vegas talk about, I lived
in Minnesota. I've only been out here 10 years.
So, niggas
talk about y'all. I say, yo,
you got to relax. And then they
like, yo, Cam, sorry we sent your team
the Suns home. I'm like, my team
is actually the Spurs. We didn't make it.
Oh, y'all ain't won a championship in 10
years. Y'all never won
a championship.
I went to the Western Conference
finals last time
that the Minnesota Timberwolves
was in there
with Kevin Durant,
Sam Cassell,
and the boys.
Listen, man,
I want y'all to do good,
but y'all got to stop
putting pressure on us
and the Spurs
and the show
to sit here.
They want,
you know,
when a person's team wins,
they want the whole hour
to be about
their team and everything else.
I'm looking forward to the next round.
I think it's going to be absolutely amazing.
Denver against Minnesota.
It should be a goodie, but calm the
fuck down. Calm the fuck down,
man. Now listen,
I get New York fans. I get it.
We're fucking crazy.
Y'all got to chill in the Vegas, Minnesota fans as well.
Y'all got to chill.
So now I got to ask.
So, I mean, I know we've been all saying like Anthony Edwards is the next face of the league.
Like it's his league to take over.
Y'all remember when Jason Tatum was saying he felt like it was his to take.
Is he completely out the conversation for y'all? Is there any still chance that he could be the face of the league or you feel like
we're past that? Me personally, I think Tatum is super, Paul's nice. I think he's super nice.
I just, when I speak about him, it's really just to motivate his tenacity so he can be the type of player he really could be.
He could really be one of those like koalas, like people that just take over the game and win
miraculously, you know, because he have all the skill set. It's just in his heart and in his mind,
he just thinks he got more time than he has. We don't realize that the game
is just yours today. It's always today. It's tomorrow. There's a new guy that gets on a roll
and he takes over the league. And every year, it'll be a new person. So I don't think he has
all the time that he's thinking about. And I think when Ja comes back, it makes it even more not his league.
I really believe it's going to be between Ja and Ant-Man.
And Shea will be right there, like, one, two, three.
That's my one, two, three right there.
Pause.
Ja, Ant-Man, and then Shea.
I meant Shea.
Ant-Man, and then Shay.
I mean, Shay.
Yeah, so he's like six for me when it comes to whose league it is.
Yo, it's a clip, and I'll answer your question in a minute. It's a clip circulating from five years ago when Ant-Man's at Bradley Bill's camp,
and Bradley Bill is talking to all the kids,
and he's like, yo, y'all ain't taking my job.
Ain't none of y'all taking my job, nigga.
I don't like pulling my NBA card out,
but you think y'all have to work hard.
Y'all got to want to be here.
And you think I'm going to sit here?
He said, I'm set for the rest of my life.
I can go live on the beach,
but Ant-Man, you think you're going to ever take my job?
I'm not letting you take my job.
Then it went five years later. careful who you're talking to yeah that's what i mean and we we didn't even i didn't
even put wimby in that list who knows after a summer of working out lifting weights and being
in the states wimby may wait whenby may feel like it's his league.
Yeah, to answer the question,
is it too late for Jason Tatum?
I seen Charles Barkley talking about this the other night
after Minnesota's win.
I was watching the game and
he said,
Airman is a dog and every team needs a dog.
You know what that is if you play basketball.
Like, you know.
Some players are dogs, but they're not just superstars.
Some players are dogs, and they're superstars.
Ant-Man is a dog that's the superstar.
You can argue and sit here and say,
Draymond Green is the dog for Golden State,
but I beg to differ because I'm not saying he isn't.
He's definitely a dog, but Steph Curry's just a quiet dog.
Steph Curry's a dog.
You know what I'm saying?
And to me, I don't know if Jason Tatum's a dog.
I think he's an excellent player.
I think he's a superstar.
I think his skill set is tremendous.
He's 6'8".
He plays good when it's time to play against good players as well.
But is he a dog?
And I don't see a dog paws in him.
Like, I just don't.
I don't know if his hairline is too crispy.
I don't know if it's the right amount of gel that makes his shit sit perfectly.
I don't know what it is, but I just don't see dog when I see Jason Tatum.
And listen, I used to sit there and say, every time he played Kevin Durant,
he gave Kevin Durant 40, 50, 45.
You know, he steps up when his superstars to step up against,
but I just don't see the dog in him especially when
the time he said and he may not feel like this today but you know i actually heard him say that
we have time ant-man said yo y'all got a year two and it's over and he's 22. yeah you know i'm
saying he's 22 years old so jason when jason tatum's window may have closed on being the face
of the league i I don't know.
Because, you know, we have this championships also come with that.
But then you have people who didn't win championships who were great as well.
But faces of the league, most of the time,
Cindy, I'm trying to say and think, Mace,
and you can correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't remember actually being a face of the league without a championship
for like the last 25, 30 years, maybe.
Every time it's a face of the league, it's a championship with that.
And I could be wrong.
No, that's 100%.
Right.
Because you could be Barkley.
Yeah, you could be Barkley.
You could be Reggie Miller.
You could be one of them other niggas.
Yeah.
But if you had LeBron, Kobe, Shaq, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan.
Tim Duncan.
You got the chip.
Face of the league.
Isaiah Thomas.
Thomas, right.
Larry Bird, Magic Johnson.
Larry Bird, yeah.
Championship comes with face of the league.
And I know a lot of people are like, oh, it ain't all about a chip.
Yes, it is.
But for the face of the league, the championship usually comes with the face of the league.
Even when it was D. Wade, you began to see his face more because he was winning.
Right.
So this is like a different conversation, but still kind of along the same way.
Like, I know we're talking about NBA, but that's also why in college women's sports,
people are like, well, Kaitlyn Clark didn't win this, so why is she the face of college?
So it's like a lot of different things.
You know what I'm saying?
Because it's like she definitely is the face of college women's basketball right now.
There's always been a double standard for men and women.
Fair.
It's just real interesting.
I just think the conversation is interesting.
You know what it is?
It's like a guy could be a freak, but a woman can't, right?
It's always been a double standard.
Do you know what bothers me about the Caitlyn Clark shit
is just that man, woman, whatever, dog, cat,
why do people stop?
And I said it a hundred times.
Why do people act like she's not a white American?
Like, that doesn't matter.
I just don't understand why people just ignore that.
She's a pure white middle America, yo.
That matters.
I know we had a couple presidents and mayors and rallies
and Black Lives Matters and all this shit.
But she fits the bill.
Yes, bro.
She's white and she got the perfect mold right here.
Right.
Murder and not a key.
People keep saying, oh, you got the Joker.
You got Dante.
Not American.
It matters when you have a white American superstar.
You cannot skip over that.
As much as we try to act like we can and can't, act like we're just, oh, why does she have her own sneaker deal
and this girl doesn't?
Why is she getting all this money?
She's a great player, super great,
and she's white, and she's from middle America.
That matters.
Yeah, she's from Iowa.
It's perfect.
Perfect.
You can't get any...
It's perfect.
There's stories you can sell from Iowa.
Right, exactly, man.
Des Moines. Des Moines, you can't get no Iowa. Right. Exactly, man. The Moy.
The Moy.
Yo, you can't get no more middle America than that, man.
You know?
You can inspire more from there.
Pause.
For real.
Yes.
Look, the same thing. Anything is possible.
Eminem and all that shit.
Like, even to the point where, like, and he's been on the show.
He's great.
He's the super duper great rapper and all that.
Middle America white nigga.
Middle of my Kentucky.
It matters.
It matters.
Shout out to my boy, Jack Arlo.
Yo, Drum and Lakers in town, too.
They was trying to come back the other night, but we ain't filming.
I'm going to have to tell you that.
Lakers here. I'll call them later and tell them to come by by the other night, but we ain't filming. I'm going to have to tell you that. Yeah. Lake is here.
I told him,
I'll call him later
and tell him to come by tomorrow.
But that matters.
Stop acting like it don't matter.
Look,
let me tell you something real quick
and this is just off the topic
briefly.
I was talking to a female
and I was explaining to her
and she was like,
asking how much,
this is a whole nother topic
for another day,
but I just thought
I'd bring it up.
I was sitting there,
Caitlyn Clark only gonna make about 76,000 this year.
She's like, what?
Because I Googled.
Yesterday, I seen the Fever's schedule
for the...
Yeah.
They start playing next month.
Yeah.
So I said,
let me see when they play the Aces
if it's some court side seats.
Let me see how much it costs.
So I went online to get the tickets
or see how much tickets cost.
One seat, $8,200 front row.
$8,200, Caitlin Clark versus the Aces.
May 25th, one ticket, $8,500.
And I'm like, damn, she only making $76,000?
They're about to go crazy and make a lot of money.
So I was explaining this to a female,
and the female was like, 76,000?
See, it's never going to be fair for women and men
to have equal pay.
And in certain situations, sports right now,
we was referring to,
and she was like,
that's why I'm just going to teach a class and tell bitches to stop working
and get with rich niggas,
because we're not going to get paid like that.
Might as well just fuck the shit out of a rich nigga
and eat off that,
because you can make that amount of money
fucking with the right nigga.
I was like,
yo, I can't make this up, brother.
This is what a chick told me. Oh, that's what she told you? No, she told me that. No, she like, yo, I can't make this up, brother. This is what a chick told me.
Oh, that's what she told you?
No, she told me that.
No, she like, because when I was explaining
Caitlyn Clark's pay as opposed to the ticket prices,
she like, we're never getting equal pay.
I'm ready to advocate for us to start working,
stop working, get with the right nigga,
because if you fuck the right nigga,
you can make more than $76,000 a year just chilling.
I'm like, hey, man,
I thought about it, and I said,
you probably could.
It depends on who you're dealing with.
And if you find this fetish,
you might can make more than that.
I thought that was...
That's just what separates so
many people from different people, because
it's like, a lot of people actually have that mentality, and if that's what you want so many people from different people because it's like a lot of
people actually have that mentality and that's if that's what you want to do go follow your passions
but it's like you don't want to have a will to like be passionate about something you know follow
something that you'd like to do and make money that type of way like i don't know i like i don't
want to just be like that like like i said before and i got heat for this i don't want to just be like like I said before
and I got heat for this
I don't want to just be
the help
like I want to
have my own passions
follow my own dreams
like do something
that I'm interested in
but a lot of people
are comfortable
with just being comfortable
and if you want to
only live like that
like Caitlin Clark
is doing this
because that's what
her passion was
she wanted to be
a WNBA player
regardless of the money
some people
hey if you just want to be
a side chick,
be a side chick.
You got to think about this
and this is a great...
Cameron's not talking
about a side chick, though.
He's talking about people
that actually,
they're the one.
That's just...
That don't even be happening.
But not even the one,
but I'm not sure
if it's the one or side chick.
That's a great conversation.
It was more about
if she...
Hey.
Yes.
If a nigga... She basically said, I'll cut the conversation short. She's like, a great conversation. It was more about if she... Hey. Yes.
If a nigga... She basically...
I'll cut the conversation short.
She's like,
you meet the right nigga
and he give you
10 bands a month.
That's more
than Caitlyn Clark
is making
in the WNBA.
She don't want
to know sprints.
Yeah.
So, yeah.
And she's like...
So, even if it is
a side chick,
even if it is a side chick,
she's like,
I'm making more than Caitlyn Clark and I'm doing so even if it is a side chick, even if it is a side chick, she's like, I'm making more than Kaitlyn Clark,
and I'm doing less work than she is.
But what you were saying, Stat, is 100% right,
because Kaitlyn Clark has a passion
to uplift women's basketball.
Because to me, if it was all about money,
I would have went and took that five from the big three.
And had, what is that, almost fucking
eight or nine times more
than what she's making now.
So,
absolutely,
maybe more than that.
Fucking a thousand times more
close to it.
Because ten times,
ten times 70 is 700,000.
Make a long story short,
you could tell she wants
to uplift women's basketball.
She wants to bring light to the game
because
that five million
would have been hard
to turn down
for 76
76 thousand
and I
and I
as a
as a fan
of basketball
period
I would
I would like
Kaitlyn Clark
to watch out
for that statement
of them saying
that um
she's here to uplift
basketball
cause it sound like you know when it sounds like, you know,
it sounds like niggas trying to rip her off.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, yeah, you're going to uplift basketball.
That means some money coming in,
and they need you to focus on basketball, nigga.
That's funny.
Nah, Kaelin, get paid, young sister.
Get paid.
She my little nigga.
You're going to call her a young nigga. You're going paid. She my little nigga.
You don't have to call her a young nigga.
You don't have to call her a little nigga.
Get paid, young sister.
Get paid.
Get paid, young nigga.
You hear the uplifting basketball.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's the shit.
I don't want to say who.
They can start putting that in Muhammad Ali.
Just go fight.
We'll take care of the rest.
You had to be the greatest.
I'm here to get paid, nigga.
Yeah, man.
Well, good point.
Great discussion.
Let us know what you guys think about all that.
But we're going to go to break.
When we return, we will discuss the best and the worst of the playoffs so far.
Don't go anywhere. Got you feeling like an option Maybe I'm my own problem, babe She tired of hearing, I don't know What's happening, me won't fall, oh, oh
Dealing with this thing called trust But she really thinking about us
She wanna be free Why am I in this one way? Why my head is walking away free
Hell, I don't wanna see her walk away
I wish somebody told me the rules
Disagreements let her win
And it's cool, even when I'm right to say
Welcome back.
Now let's get into our Underdog Fantasy
picks of the day.
Tonight, the Knicks will play the Sixers.
Underdog Fantasy has Joel Embiid at 32.5 points.
Do you have him higher or lower, Mace?
32.5 points?
Yes.
Higher.
Okay.
I'm going to go higher, too.
He better.
I know that.
He better.
Okay.
Niggas going home, higher too. He better. I know that. He better. Okay. Niggas going home though.
But, but.
Tyrese Max, he's at 35 and a half points,
rebounds and assists.
Do you have him higher or lower, Cam?
Lower.
35?
And a half.
Rebounds, points and assists.
Lower. Okay. 35 and a half rebounds points and assists lower okay
and Jalen Brunson
is at
two and a half
three pointers made
um
higher or lower
higher
of course
more higher
well
download the
underdog fantasy app
and you can make
your picks too
so just
general discussion
what has stood out
to you guys from the playoffs
so far is there a team that you feel really needs some work and then what team do you feel like is
in the best position overall wow I mean starting with the latter thing you said I think is several
teams in the in the best position um pause when you talk about Denver is in a good position.
Minnesota is in a good position.
OKC is in a great position.
And then you got the Knicks.
The Knicks are in a really good position
because they're in a position where they could beat the Sixers,
who they probably would.
Many would have thought they could not beat.
And the next round, I think they'll have a better chance to beat in the Pacers.
So this is a great position for the New York Knicks to be in, as well as I think the OKC
is in the best position in the West because they don't have to play Minnesota or Denver next round.
And the biggest surprise for me in the playoffs, I cannot lie,
is Jalen Brunson.
He got to be the biggest surprise of the playoffs.
As Cam said, he couldn't score 40 and win if he scored 40,
and he scored 40 and won.
I stand corrected.
You're absolutely right.
White bread.
You're absolutely right.
I did say that.
Shout out to Sin.
We ain't letting him back in the garden when we win.
This nigga got on a mess hat and ranges.
See how this nigga here.
I don't know how we get back to the Knicks.
When did the Knicks become your team?
When did the Knicks become back your team?
I'm going to start pulling out all my Knick paraphernalia.
I'm going to have my shit shipped in.
The question is the biggest surprise in the playoffs?
Yeah.
To me, the biggest surprise in the playoffs so far
is Phoenix Suns getting swept.
Yeah, yeah.
That's the biggest surprise to me.
Like, listen, man.
Like I said previously, they were my pick to not necessarily
go to the championship, but at least make it
to the Western Conference Finals at the beginning of the. I thought Bradley Beal would be a great addition. Never
seemed to really get going because of injury or whatever else. Devin Booker, Kevin Durant,
they was, all season, the Phoenix Suns have been fighting to stay in the playoffs. They've
been ranging from eighth seed to fifth
seed to sixth seed to seventh seed. They made the playoffs. They stunk it up. Didn't look good.
And this was probably the biggest surprise to me, not just in the playoffs throughout the whole
year. Frank Vogel's on the verge of getting fired. They talking about, I don't know if you could
blame this all on Frank Vogel. You have to realize they have no true point guard there. Devin Booker
could play point guard, but he's not a true point guard. Then you don't really have a
true center. You get rid of Aiden and bring Nurkish in and think that's going to do the
job against the Joker and Rudy Gobert and Cat and all these other centers. He's decent,
but he hasn't been playing in the postseason that much either
because he's always hurt.
And the worst-case scenario for the Phoenix Suns right now is that.
And I don't know what's going to happen in the summer,
but you guys are fucking, the bank is fucking closed, bro.
Kevin Durant next year, 51 million.
Devin Booker next year, 50 million.
Bradley Beal, 51 million. Devin Booker next year, 50 million.
Bradley Beal, 49 million.
So you got three players next year.
That's $150 million in your cap.
And then I believe y'all, $136 million in the luxury taxes.
Who the fuck could y'all get?
Now, I don't even know if y'all could trade a nigga who wants to pick up anybody's contract that you have.
Now, any team would want Kevin Durant.
Any team may want Devin Booker.
I'm not sure anybody would take Bradley Beal,
but you might have to blow this whole shit up,
and then you got contracts that people may not want. This is a fucking mess.
It's a fucking mess.
Yeah, I didn't even think about that.
Yeah, so, you know, because the way she,
you probably was thinking positive,
the biggest surprise is
the Phoenix Suns, so that's my takeaway
from the biggest surprise so far
from the playoffs because
even LeBron and them got a game
in. To get swept
for Kevin Durant booking
Bradley Bill, that's very shocking.
So I went with that.
If somebody would have told us at the top of the year that,
um,
the sons will be swept.
When we first heard,
um,
Bill joining them,
everybody would say,
you bug.
Yeah.
You out your fucking mind.
That's what niggas would have said,
man.
Yeah.
I think this also shows like a big shift in the games.
Cause you kind of explained this earlier,
but I was looking at like what is quoted as the top 10 best players in the league. And I think this is also why Jokic remains
on top because every top player is basically like there's Giannis, okay, Dame, Embiid, which they're
probably, you know, going to lose to the Knicks. Not going to say it, but as we're seeing, that's
probably what's going to happen. You know, if the Mavs lose and Luka and Kyrie are out, like we're
seeing a lot of these top players who aren't even in,
you know, this final setting,
which is kind of crazy to really think about that.
There's no, I don't want to say superstars,
because there's still SJ, Ant-Man, a lot of other people.
But it's like, we're still not even at that point
where we're having all these people play against each other,
which is crazy.
So with that being said,
did any particular player disappoint you so far?
Oh, yes. There were many players that disappointed come this postseason. I must say Bradley Bill is leading the way. He's leading
the way and players that disappointed because even though they got swept, when you look at the box
court, Kevin Durant still got his numbers and Book definitely got his numbers. But when you look at the box court, Kevin Durant still got his numbers and Book definitely got his numbers.
But when you look at Bill, you're like, what's going on here?
You know, and another another person that underachieved, I think, was I'm not I mean, people may feel different, but Anthony Davis.
but Anthony Davis, you know, I was expecting him to be a little bit more dominant when it came to the playoffs.
And and just letting Joker go out there and do what he did.
Just it just it just set them back because it's not like they're playing against a new person next year.
It's going to be the same guy. So if you keep getting hurt, I don't know what he's going to do next year. He got to switch from injury to mental health.
I would go with Bill as well.
I wouldn't necessarily put AD in there.
AD, no, what was AD's playoff number?
His numbers was crazy.
He was good.
His numbers was wow.
I just was actually
looking at those it's just his
antics of I'm hurt
it's like it's the morale that I'm talking
about that he takes away from the team
with that it's like you play
basketball you know what it's like when you
with a nigga that's always is something
is always something
like I get what you're saying 100%
it's annoying.
It's annoying. It's not just him, neither.
You know what?
You know what?
It's so fucking annoying
that it ain't just him,
but I'm tired of niggas get fouled
and they fall and look at the ref.
Everybody in the whole fucking league.
Yo, stop crying and play,
but Anthony Davis
in the four games before tonight
averaged 30 points,
15 rebounds,
30.5 points, 15.8 rebounds
and four assists.
I don't know what else you really want a nigga
to do. You just can't beat
the Joker. You know, that's
just what it is. Yeah, it might be a Deontay
and Fury thing.
Yeah, 30 and a half and
16 rebounds is, that's kind of crazy.
Yeah.
But like you said, it's the eye test.
It's the antics.
It's really the eye test.
Yeah.
That's what I'm speaking to.
Yeah.
Because if you got 30, but when I saw you, you was like this.
Yeah.
Squirming paws on the floor all the time.
And biggest disappointment, I don't even want to put it on Bill.
I want to put it on the Phoenix Suns as an organization.
Damn, you get very political.
Very, very disappointing, man.
Very disappointing considering what we thought this team would be
at the beginning of the season.
So I don't want to just put it on Bill. I'll put it on
Philadelphia, pardon me, on the Phoenix Suns
as an organization.
Period. Philly will be
another one. Yeah.
Well, I mean, Philly, my thing with Philly
is this, is that
think of your murder. I ain't gonna hold you.
Nigga knee is fucked
up. He don't trust his knee and he got the Bell
palsy shit. I remember he got hurt with his knee and he got the bell palsy shit I remember he got hurt
with his knee
and he
we didn't know about
the bell palsy thing
and he was just laying
on the floor
one eye was blinking
I'm like what kind of
knee injury
you got to make
one eye blink
cause that
that information
didn't come out
and I believe that
Joe L. Embiid
is tired of people
talking about him
year after year
after year
you always hurt
you always hurt
you always hurt
to the point
he's forcing himself to be out there,
and he looks a shell of himself.
He's running up the floor.
He can't be aggressive.
He can't jump.
His vision is blurred.
I give him a lot of credit.
Look, there's no excuses.
I'm not giving him a pass.
Once you're out there, you're out there.
That's just the way it is.
But even to try and get out there with blurred vision, can't jump,
and everything else,
I give him a lot of credit.
I give him credit.
But that isn't going to get you a pass.
You get credit, but, you know, that's my thing, Murda.
Once you're on the floor, when I played, I didn't want to hear it.
You're out there, you're out there.
That's just that.
It's like when you're a boxer as well.
If you're in the middle of a fight and your eye closes,
I'm not supposed to jab at that eye the rest of the fight.
No pun intended to Joel Embiid.
I'm just using a boxing scenario.
Yeah, you're supposed to jab at that eye every chance you get.
Yeah, every chance you get.
That's what you're supposed to do.
You're supposed to take advantage of the weakness.
So once you're there, you're there.
But yeah, I want to give it, I'll say Phoenix Suns as an organization, as opposed to just Bradley Beal.
Okay.
And then there's a lot of stuff to discuss around the Suns.
So first we're going to start with Bradley Beal.
Before the Wolves swept the Suns, he said,
I've never been swept a day in my life.
I'll be damned if that happens. So
considering it happened, how
do you guys feel about Bradley Bill's performance
over this whole season?
I think it's been problematic
since the first
actual game.
I think it got perpetually
worse, you know, and I actually
like Bradley Bill as a player
and what he was able to accomplish down there in Washington, D.C.
But when he got to Phoenix, it seemed like it was an issue from the very start.
He was hurt a lot.
Then the issue happened with James Harden,
and I put a pin right in that moment and said,
this moment right here is an instant
decline for the Phoenix Suns. And it came back to be true. So when I see this happening,
it just made everything come full circle. Because when I saw him with nine points,
I'm like, come on now, this 50 million for nine points is crazy.
That's how I look at it as being a person not playing in the NBA.
50 points for nine points.
I meant 50 million for nine points.
Yeah, I don't think he barely got it going.
He played a couple games when he got hurt.
He missed 30 games this season.
29, actually.
And I don't believe, and they were spread out.
It wasn't consistent.
It would be eight here or seven here or five there.
And I don't believe it ever got any continuity.
And then what happened is the pressure built
to where he wasn't playing well.
And he's like, yo, you're supposed to be Bradley Bill.
You're getting 50 million a year,
this, that, and the third.
To where I see him missing dunks
and stuff that he normally wouldn't miss.
But a lot of times,
people who've never played basketball,
basketball,
if you're not the superstar,
you're not comfortable in the system
or don't have a great coach,
that shit could be really mental.
To where basketball, it could fuck you up,
especially if you're a shooter
and you're not shooting well.
Like, I believe Klay Thompson
was going through something mental
because he's such a great shooter.
So when you're not making it,
it starts fucking with you mentally
to where you're like,
yo, why am I not making this?
Now you're thinking about not making it.
You're not thinking about,
I'm going to make the next one.
You're thinking about the last nine you miss.
And I'm not saying that necessarily happened for Bradley B.
I do think that happened with Klay Thompson, though.
But I just don't think it worked out.
And when Kevin Durant was talking post-game,
he was basically saying that the teams that are doing well now
have been playing together, you know, for at least two, three years,
if not more than that.
And I'm not going to sit here and use that for an excuse.
But because you're professionals, like you got the Olympic team coming up, right?
They don't play with each other all fucking year.
They go out to get these niggas in the Olympics.
They see each other for a few weeks before the Olympics.
Yeah, you got to just turn it on.
And you got to turn it on and figure it out and go win the gold medal.
That's what I'm saying.
That's what it's about.
And you know you don't get as many attempts.
That's another thing that's hurting Bill.
He's used to getting 30 attempts.
Now when you're on a team with KD and Book,
you're probably getting 15 attempts.
It's half the attempts.
Okay, and then after their loss,
sources revealed Kevin Durant never felt comfortable
in his role with the Suns.
In summary, the source says he was put to the corner too much
and offense designs couldn't play to his strengths.
Is that something that you feel like you saw with their offense
or do you think it was fine?
And then how do you guys feel about the way that KD was being used?
Yeah, because now he's being used almost like a four.
And that's the problem.
He's used to being on the wing, on the offside of the guard.
But, I mean, this is part of what an aging superstar has to do.
I mean, because as more new and new talent comes in,
say they get a point guard,
they're not going to put Booker in the corner
and they're not going to put Bill in the corner.
And this is where a great coach that got good schemes comes in
because I do think they're running the wrong offense.
You could tell that by looking at them.
They're pretty much just a run-and-gun team, or whoever gets it goes.
There's no real way of playing.
This is a team that if they had somebody like,
they would need somebody like Phil Jackson to win.
Somebody who can get everybody together and say,
this is how you win with this type of nuclear.
They have all the pieces to win a championship.
They're just not running the right system.
My nigga look like you lost weight, man.
My nigga on that Slim Fest.
That's what's up, nigga. Fest. That's what's up, nigga.
Yo.
That's what's up.
Larry on the camera.
Yeah.
What you think we are?
Thank you. Thank you, man. Thank you, bro. you think we are. Yes!
Thank you.
Thank you, man.
Thank you, bro.
I appreciate it, man.
Larry, I was the last one talking.
Don't give Cam my credit.
Don't give Cam my credit.
Yo, what makes you know you own the company?
Yo, you can't be the rock star
all the time
and the superstar.
What was that, my nigga?
You know it's
yours, right?
You're only hurting yourself.
That's not what happened.
I'm just telling you for my
that day when I seen it.
I just thought, it's
your show, bro.
This nigga go rock star, niggas,
if he forgets sometime.
See, he want the credit and everything.
I don't forgot that.
What was the question?
Yeah, basically the way that Kevin Durant has been used.
He didn't say it specifically.
It's just sources.
I was arguing with Sim before I walked in about this shit, man.
The same exact thing.
Coaches and their systems.
He's like, and it's like, yo, listen.
And it's funny you brought that up.
I brought up Phil Jackson too.
And not for the coach, the Phoenix Suns,
because he like, yo, what's going on?
You know, Sin just hate on anything.
Why Phoenix can't figure out? I said, listen, it's a new system.
What do you mean it's a new system?
I said, it's a new coach.
You think Frank Vogel's using Monty Williams' system?
It's a new system. I'm not saying that it's a better system, but they have to's a new coach. You think Frank Vogel's using Monty Williams' system? It's a new system.
I'm not saying that it's a better system,
but they have to learn a new system.
Oh, what a nigga, nigga.
The fuck did you talk about?
I said, forget it.
I said, who uses Phil Jackson's system?
The triangle.
Nobody.
Okay, it's Phil's system.
Everybody has a system.
So I just had this argument with this nigga 20 minutes
before we started shooting but
you have to talk to your coach when you have a new system and say this isn't benefiting me
this isn't working for me I'm better off here I'm better off being used to pause in this situation
I there's another argument with Sid we have to call Sham guard. Yeah. Shout out to Sham. Because Sin is arguing with me that Luka Dantas is a forward.
And I'm like, bro, he's the point guard.
To the point we have to call Sham to verify that Luka was the point guard
because Sin don't want to listen.
But what Sham said was that when the Mavs drafted Luka,
they wanted to use him as a forward,
and Luka's dead at it.
He said, I've just been pros since I was 15.
I've been a point guard my whole life.
I'm not playing forward.
And they adjusted to that.
They wanted to use him as forward,
but Luka shut it down.
And sometimes if you're a superstar
and your coach isn't utilizing you
to the best of your potential,
then you have to have a conversation with them so
you're not going to get the best kevin durant or the best devin book or the best bradley bill
putting me here we have to come to a conclusion or uh um decision or compromise is the word i was
looking for yeah to figure out what's going to be best for your system and what's going to get
maximize my potential in your system and i just believe that's what it is yeah and that's probably how they got
putting kairi at the shooting guard right because he he could work from there yeah one thing about
kairi kairi's almost like a steph steph's not the traditional point guard neither but even like when
kairi and brooklyn i know that that project didn't work out long, but he like James Martin run the point.
You run the point.
Let me go up and do what I got to do.
Absolutely.
And then last question before we wrap,
there's actually a lot of speculation around the firing of son's head coach,
Frank Vogel.
Do you think that's something that should be considered or let him have time
to cook?
We all think,
um,
I don't think his system works for,
for that talent.
Like, everybody that knows Frank Vogel knows what type of system that he runs.
And he's a great coach, but not for that system.
I think the last time he did well was with LeBron and then with the Lakers.
And he had the pieces that go with that style.
When he had Dwight Howard, who else?
He works better with blue-collar workers,
not just superstars.
When he had Rondo.
And, you know, people out there that'll get it done.
And not that Kevin Durant and them won't get it done,
but they're not blue-collar players.
You know, if he has somebody like Bruce,
I forgot his last name, Bruce Brown,
that played for Denver or players like that,
he'd need those kind of pieces in order to win.
Even when he was coaching Indiana,
he had those same type of players.
So when he gets to somewhere like Bradley building them,
I don't think that works for them.
They need somebody with, even Paul Westfall would do well with that team.
Not Doc Rivers.
Tyrone Lou would do well with that.
There's a lot of coaches that'll do well with that team.
It's just not Frank Vogel.
Whoever hired him was Mark Jackson
will be perfect for that team.
Like, they will win under Mark Jackson
because he understands,
not just because he's on with our show,
he understands what needs to happen
with those type of players.
You know?
Mark Jackson would be
an excellent
fit for that team.
Frank Vogel
isn't really
a defensive-minded coach,
but
when the offense
ain't clicking either,
what the fuck, what you going to do?
You know what I'm saying?
Like, yo, you're an offensive-minded coach,
but the offense ain't clicking,
and you know what you're going to get on defense is nothing
because you're not stressing defense as much as you like to score.
So if you're not scoring and not playing defense, I don't know.
And then what happened is.
Yeah, that's why I said Paul Westfall, you know.
Yeah, you might.
All he does is run.
Right.
And you might have lost the locker room, to be honest with you.
The way I've seen them play his body language, it isn't just about each other.
It's about sometimes you're like, I ain't fucking with niggas.
And I don't have any information on that.
Yeah.
But you may have lost the locker room at the end of the press conference,
at the press conference
after the game,
after Phoenix got swept,
Devin Booker said,
I have to be better.
Bill Bradley has to be better.
Kevin has to be better.
The coach has to be better.
Niggas don't usually
throw the coach in
with the playoffs.
Like he was missing rebounds.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
So for him to throw the coach.
He did miss a few schemes, though.
Yeah, for him to throw the coach in the equation,
they might not fuck with you, bro.
It might be a dub.
Should they let him go?
Look, I would say keep Frank Rogel,
but getting swept is just unacceptable.
Like if it was a 4-2 lose to, okay, to
not even, you know,
Minnesota, I don't know. Even
losing to Minnesota, period,
with this team. Yeah.
He gotta go. Yeah, yeah.
He gotta go. Yeah, yeah. Because
who you, you gotta, somebody gotta
take the knife
for this, you know. Pause. Somebody
gotta take it. It's like,
whose fault is it?
Listen,
getting swept is crazy
with that team.
Yeah.
This is the team
everybody said
was coming out of the West.
So if you get swept,
that's a coaching job
because they say
all-stars and players
win games.
And look, we met the new owner last year, the Phoenix Suns,
when we was there.
He wants to win now.
Yeah.
That's why he's not waiting for niggas.
He wants to win now.
That's why he got Bradley Bill.
Yeah, and that's why he got rid of Monty.
And A&M, he's like, oh, they the reasons to fucking it up?
They did better with them.
You got to realize they had a decent team.
If A&M was committing to play,
if Chris Paul would have
stayed in his role
and not getting hurt,
kept Monte Williams,
it might have been better
this year.
Because if you keep
switching up every year,
you're not going to gain
any continuity
to win anything.
So if you fire the coach
this year,
then you're a new coach
and he do worse next year than he did this year,
then you want to fire him too? You have to get
some continuity. Yeah, they fired two coaches
this year and
last year. Next year, it's KD.
It's somebody else. It's got to be somebody
else. Sometimes when you're a new
owner,
you don't have the patience because you're like,
we could do it now, especially if you got niggas in your
ear. If if murder acquired the phoenix sons tomorrow i'm like no nick you know
nigga we could win right now we ain't got time to be playing no games we shift this around i'm
gonna make a call because i if that you like you gotta imagine and don't get me wrong you can't
make irrational decisions as an owner,
but you got to think about the friends you got
and the people in your ear.
Every year, and I know it's staff included,
we sit there and watch Jerry Jones and that Skybox
when Dallas scores a touchdown.
People kissing his ass, hugging him, jumping up and down.
Who are y'all?
It's probably three, four relatives,
and the rest is just ass kisses.
Yeah, Jerry, I knew you.
You know my niggas.
You always got niggas around that's in your ear,
whether you listen to them or not,
but they're going to give you their opinion.
But as far as Frank Vogel goes, I think he's going to have to go.
Let me ask y'all something before we finish.
Would you trade KD for Ja?
Ja Morant?
No.
If I'm Memphis, I don't get rid of Ja.
And nothing slight on KD because KD's my bro.
But I don't get rid of a 23,
24 year old for a 35 year old.
Yeah.
No, I got too much time with this guy as opposed to the time that I have left with Kevin Durant.
In the Suns' favor though, if it was in their favor and we weren't worried about what they
were thinking, yes, because I just think you should always plant your seeds more in the
future.
I don't know how much longer KD's going to play,
which he still has plenty of time.
Yeah, he does.
Yeah.
So that's what I think.
But if you're the Suns, you're saying,
if I'm Memphis, no, I'm not letting Ja go.
Well, in the comments below,
let us know what you guys think about the Sun situation.
But that's all the time that we have for today.
Thanks for watching.
And as always,
it is what it is. What you want, nigga? Everything nigga supersize
Two big necks
Like when they doing them two for five
