along with your hosts, Mace and Han.
Marlon, what up, man?
How you doing?
It was good, man.
I'm good, everything all right?
Yeah, man.
So, yesterday was crazy.
What was crazy about yesterday, exactly?
Now we'll get into it, boss.
Okay, no problem.
Not right now.
OK, well, let's get into the games first.
So the Eagles lost to the Falcons 22 to 21.
A lot of pivotal moments happened this game.
But what was your overall opinion on the game?
Can first.
Um, I missed it.
You know, be honest, I had to go out and I missed the end of the game.
It was a chippy game from the first three quarters.
And I did see the highlights at the end of the game,
but I'm not gonna say I act like I seen it live.
But the game should have been over
if Saquon Barkley catches that pass.
He doesn't catch the pass.
I think that Kirk Cousins been hearing the rumblings
all week of people saying he's getting old,
he's not mobile like he usually is mobile.
Pardon me y'all.
I'm a fashion icon, I gotta make sure my shit is right.
Cover GQ ass nigga, you know what I mean?
Pardon me.
And I think he been hearing the rumblings
of people saying that he's looking old,
he's not what he used to be.
And he went down the field and led us into a victory.
Jalen Hurts is gonna look like Jalen Hurts from last year.
What I'll say in this week too is no consistency so far
outside the Kansas City Chiefs.
And the Chargers look really good under Harbaugh.
But it's week two, we gonna see what happens.
But Kirk Cousins definitely looked really good
on that last play.
Throughout the game, the game was rather pedestrian
on both sides of the, on both teams, I should say.
It wasn't a high scoring game, good defensive game,
but Jaylen Hurts under 200 yards,
fucked up my code cam shit, by the way, Jaylen Hurts.
And Kirk Cousins, he looked pretty good considering
the people talking about him.
Look, I'm one of the people that said Pennex is
on the sideline waiting for your job, nigga.
And for him to march up the field and get a touchdown
at the end of the game, that was pretty good.
But look, I'm not gonna jump the gun
on either one of these teams.
It's only week two,
but I don't like Philly losing in the second week.
Cause now look, you're basically tied again.
And this is what Michael Irvin said.
You're tied with the Cowboys for the division.
And it's only week two.
This was a week for y'all to get up ahead of the Cowboys
by one game in the NFC East.
Didn't do it.
So we got to listen to what Mike Irvin said.
It could be either one of y'all.
Cause if y'all gonna play like this with no consistency
and lose to Atlanta at home,
we don't know who's gonna win that division.
This is really good.
Actually pause because when you think about it,
Kirk Cousin, if I wasn't paying attention to my team,
he looked like Pat Mahomes in that last play.
It looked like he just willed his team the victory.
And also when it comes down to week two,
it just looked like the black head coaches
are doing exceptionally well.
They're coaching really well.
They're leading their teams to victory.
And pulling out stops to show that, you know, that black head coaches can
win it on this level.
And I think that's, that's what my real takeaway from week two is.
And then on Sunday, Tampa Bay took the win 20 to 16 versus the lions.
Should teams be more worried about Tampa?
I wouldn't go that far, Stat. I know you from Tampa, but no, no.
Nobody should be worried about, I wouldn't be worried about Tampa.
I don't think anybody's worried about Tampa.
Stat, where did you come up with that question from?
That's a good question.
Tampa?
I feel like people are overlooking Tampa Bay and I think that they're proving
like, we're that team.
I mean, they're going to do well enough to get to the playoffs and lose probably
first or second round.
I don't, I don't see them going further than that even in the South.
I don't, I mean, to my vantage point.
And I'm right into proving wrong, you know, the chiefs are still out front.
We still looking like the team to beat as we should ring city.
Cam said he's now living in title town.
So I didn't never say that.
I said, I've been talking to people from title town.
You've been talking to me, Cam.
Well, you know what?
Actually, one of my good friends from Titletown will be here Friday,
Mike Tyson, official Titletown nigga.
So tune in Friday morning and the official nigga from Titletown will actually be here
for the whole show Friday.
I don't know who Mace is cool with in Titletown.
Maybe he lives in another part of Titletown where he's by himself and it's like out in
the outskirts is a different area code.
But I don't know he knows from Titletown who he's cool with
because everybody I've been talking to from Titletown
said they never seen him in Titletown.
I'm just telling you.
Some way up there.
Okay, I'm just, yeah.
Up the mountain, yo.
I didn't know, I was just saying, I didn't know.
But Mike Tyson just, you know,
I was gonna let people know tomorrow,
but Mike Tyson will be here in studio actually this Friday.
Yeah, we don't need security for Mike.
Yeah.
So he'll be here.
One of my friends from title town that we actually see when a lot of titles.
OK, and then Cam, do you believe that team should be more worried about Tampa Bay?
Yeah, Tampa Bay, when you asked us actually about sleeper teams,
they were actually my sleeper team to be totally honest with you.
This year, it's not that easy because it looks like the team to be in that division is going
to be the Saints. The way the Saints been putting numbers up the last,
the first two weeks I should say are exceptional
and look like they're gonna put a lot of points
on the board every week.
It's about if their defense is gonna be able
to stop somebody.
Atlanta, they just won, we don't have to worry
about the Carolina Panthers.
But look, when you got Godwin and you got Mike Evans
in the outfield, that's a great security blanket for Baker Mayfield.
And those guys have experience and not only experience,
they have a Super Bowl ring with Tom Brady being there.
And they even actually, not Godwin,
but Mike Evans played really good
when Jameis Winston was there.
That was actually his number one target.
Mike Evans year after year,
we talk about these receivers
and put a lot of people at the top,
but we don't count a lot,
we don't talk a lot about Mike Evans and his consistency.
Three different quarterbacks
probably in the last five, six years,
and he shows up year after year after year.
So I'm gonna keep an eye on Tampa,
are they gonna win Super Bowl?
I wouldn't say that,
but that's definitely my sleeper team.
But with the Saints playing the way the Saints are playing,
I'm not sure if they're gonna win the division.
I think this is more about the Lions losing in week two,
because the Lions, before the season started,
they were the full favorite to win the Super Bowl.
And we've seen what they did last year.
But last year, they were kind of a sleeper.
This year, I mean, actually Larry was talking about it.
They can't sneak up on anybody.
Everybody's preparing for the Lions,
as opposed to they say,
oh, it's just the Detroit Lions, they're never gonna win.
Everybody's prepared for the Lions this year,
so they're gonna have a rough time.
It's up to them to prove
if they're really Super Bowl contenders.
But as far as Tampa Bay, like I said,
that was my sleeper team.
Were they gonna Super Bowl?
I wouldn't say that, but they're definitely somebody to keep
an eye on.
And Jared, I know he hates to lose it, especially when you have 307 yards.
He doesn't think he would have lost.
So I don't know what to say about that.
And then real quick about the Saints, they're definitely trying to have this Super Bowl
because to be in New Orleans, like I just know for them, like that would be lit.
So more power to them.
We'll see what happens.
Okay.
And then the Texans beat the Bears 19 to 13.
What are you guys' thoughts on Caleb Williams' transition into the league so far?
To me, it looks like he's struggling now from, because every time I watch him, it
looked like he's scrambling and running for his life.
Every time he has the ball, it seemed like he's trying to play college football
on the NFL level and it's not translating for some reason.
He's taking too long to get rid of the ball.
He's looking for ways to run when he shouldn't be looking for ways to run. He should be trying to stay somewhere in the pocket and get rid of the ball. He's looking for ways to run when he shouldn't be looking for ways to run.
So you should be trying to stay somewhere in the pocket and get rid of the ball to
the, to the team that he has.
I know he doesn't have a whole bunch of weapons, but he can get rid of the ball
faster, he can have a much better career and he wouldn't pause, take so much
punishment because when, when the linemen know that you're not going to get rid of
the ball fast and you're trying to run and do all this other stuff, they're,
they're going to play a different way.
And I think that's what he's running into.
And I like the fact that Chicago bears organization is letting them learn on a
job. So he's by, by like week six or five, it'll,
it'll click in for him that yo, you can't do that here.
Um, right now he's still trying it, even though it didn't work week one.
Now he know it doesn't work week two.
We'll see what he does by week three or four, by four, he should really be thinking about a two steps and pass the ball, man.
He doesn't look comfortable to me.
Yeah.
To me, he doesn't look comfortable as an NFL player
as far as this is my personal opinion.
I don't like his facial expressions
when he gets off the field.
He looks like the same person that went home
to want to pet his dog at USC and was really upset.
He doesn't look comfortable whatsoever.
And I can't put a lot of pressure on him because of that.
He's a new NFL player.
Everybody doesn't have a great start when they're an NFL player,
but it's up to his offensive coordinator and his head coach
to make sure that he's comfortable,
to make sure he's getting the right plays,
even if they have to run the ball more.
Get the ball, like Mase did make a great point.
Get the ball out of his hands quicker.
Make two or three-yard passes,
and let the receivers or the tight end
or the running back pick up the rest of the yards.
He looks very uncomfortable.
I don't like the way the offense is moving.
And right now this is a recipe for disaster.
This is kind of what happened with Justin Fields.
And Justin Fields to me is a little more athletic
than Caleb Williams.
Like Caleb Williams to me is a pure quarterback.
Not saying he can't move or he's not mobile,
but I think Justin Fields is more mobile.
So when things break down,
Justin Fields could use his feet to gain more yardage
as opposed to Caleb Williams as a pure passer.
And right now it's not looking good.
And I don't want to solely put the blame on him.
The Chicago, pardon me,
the Chicago Bears year after year after year,
you guys have been letting quarterbacks
and letting your fans down.
Caleb Williams, I don't really care for you too much,
to be totally honest with you.
I'm not a fan of you like that.
I think that you was great at USC.
I think it was a hype train.
Not saying you didn't deserve it.
I was really more mad when you beat my niggas in Colorado.
You bust their ass.
So ever since then, I had an attitude with you,
but he doesn't look comfortable whatsoever.
And that's up to the Chicago Bears
because you guys I think are like six, seven quarterbacks
in the last 10 years.
So obviously you guys are messing up franchise quarterbacks
because you guys are drafted franchise quarterbacks.
But there's plenty of time.
Like I said, I'm not gonna jump the gun in week two,
but the way this is going is it's looking like the same thing
that happened with Justin Fields.
How long would you give them pause?
To be honest with you, they got rid of Justin Fields for him.
So they're gonna have to work with him.
You know, this isn't like,
this may not even be a one season thing.
Yeah. You know, they got rid of a,
nigga, they just drafted Justin Fields
as their franchise quarterback.
They didn't get rid of him for Caleb Williams.
So they can't, if the kid goes over 16,
they still have to come back next year
and give him a shot over 17, pardon me.
And I'm not saying that's gonna happen,
but you got rid of people for this.
These guys are gonna have to work on it.
And you know, I'm being a little bit facetious.
The kid can throw, he can play football.
But you gotta realize it's like a basketball player too.
And I relate a lot of things to basketball
because I've just been around basketball
longer than football.
You got a guy and you younger players
may not know this person, they're about the name.
There's a player called Drasen Petrovic,
and he was on the Portland Trail Blazers
for, I don't know, two, three, four seasons,
maybe two or three seasons, and was not getting any run.
When he got in, he couldn't figure the offense out,
or not saying he couldn't figure the offense out,
he wouldn't fit in the offense.
He gets traded to the Nets and becomes third team or NBA,
and as a superstar, born to fight superstar, drives and petrifieds,
giving niggas fits, Jordan sometime too, once in a while.
So sometimes you're just not in the right system.
That doesn't mean that you can't play.
You're not in the right system.
But if Chicago Bears are going to get rid of people for him,
they need to figure out what kind of system is going to work for him.
Then on the topic of quarterbacks and letting them down,
the Panthers are benching former number one overall pick Bryce Young
and starting Andy Dalton.
Do you guys agree with the decision that the Panthers are making?
This this goes back to what Cam is saying. When you get rid of people for
these quarterbacks, you're almost stuck with them. So when you start playing other
people such as Dalton over Bryce, then it becomes really interesting even
the value of your team and the players on that
team, because now if Dalton starts playing well, what do you do with Bryce?
You're not able to trade them because you already devalued them by putting them back
in the arm on the, on as a reserve.
It would be better to just play them, get his stock up.
If you know he's not what you need,
and then trade them to someone else and get more for the player, then the actually bench
him is going to set the franchise back to me.
And when you're already selling tickets for 50 cents and a dollar in a franchise, it makes
no sense to devalue the team or the franchise even more, because you're already halfway out the door.
Right now, if this keeps up, they got to move the Panthers out of the city of
Charlotte, and I don't know if that was worth just this move, and as an owner,
you have to think about those things.
Because again, selling tickets at a dollar per seat is already halfway out of the NFL.
Um, another situation, exactly like I just said, with, uh, our last topic,
it's one of these situations where the Carolina Panthers are so bad that they're
trying to probably say that Bryce is probably the problem.
I'm not saying that he is or isn't because I don't watch the Carolina Panthers.
Not going to waste my 48 minutes, 60 minutes of my day with that nonsense football.
I can't get that 60 minutes back.
Yeah, this nigga might be on for this week.
Nigga got to go.
Yeah. Yeah. But when I'm I'm not disagreeing with you.
I'm just saying I wouldn't know because I'm not wasting my time to even pay attention
until I can't get that 60 minutes back,
which is really two and a half hours.
I can't get that back.
I got other shit to do with that two and a half hours.
So I'm not disagreeing with you
because I haven't seen a Carolina Panthers game
since probably McCaffrey was there
or fucking Cam Newton was quarterbacking.
How would I be watching the Carolina Panthers? No disrespect, but I'm not watching them. But we
don't know. And like I said, they may be putting this kid in a precarious situation. I'm not sure
and I don't know. But let's take a look. And I know it's still early right now, but we're looking at
Let's take a look, and I know it's still early right now, but we're looking at somebody like Sam Donnell, right?
Looked like he may be in out the league in two or three years, four years.
And look, he's got off to a great start this year
because maybe he found the system that's working for them.
We're looking, we can think about a player,
not think of a great player to name
that I thought we'd probably never see again
as Geno Smith.
Geno Smith is one of these players that you like,
yo, I thought it was a dub, my nigga.
Yeah, I definitely thought it was a dub.
I thought that nigga was playing football in Canada somewhere.
I didn't know where the fuck Geno Smith was at.
Russell Wilson gets out of there.
He gets a chance in Seattle.
He does a great job his first year,
and he signs a great contract.
So sometimes it takes a minute,
especially at the quarterback position.
And one thing about the quarterback position,
you're one play away from having a job,
even as a backer, or third string,
because you don't know week in or week out
when the next quarterback is gonna get hurt.
You may get hurt and then this is your job
to be ready and ready to go.
You may not get a chance to play all season.
You may be playing in the next 20 minutes.
You have no idea.
Alex Smith, another great quarterback.
Big shout out to him.
He retired recently.
I loved his journey.
He gets hurt.
I believe he was 20 and one, a 21 and one, something like that with San Francisco. He gets hurt. I believe he was 20 and one, or 21 and one,
something like that with San Francisco.
He gets hurt.
That was his record before he got hurt.
Colin Kaepernick comes in.
Colin Kaepernick busts his ass and they say,
well, we got some chemistry here.
You know, you're gonna have to sit down
and get it together
because we're gonna go with Colin Kaepernick.
They end up trading him.
Where does he go?
Kansas City Chiefs.
He's doing good with the Kansas City Chiefs
but then they draft a young stud,
poor as named Patrick Mahomes.
Yeah, we like what you're doing
but we're gonna have to let you go about your business.
Then he gets hurt.
But see, that's what I'm saying about
the quarterback position.
So I don't wanna put Bryce in that position
and be like, it's a dove for him. He got to get out of here.
You just never know when you're a quarterback,
when you may have a second or third opportunity.
So I wish him luck. He's still young.
He's still some time.
But I don't know who would do a good job with the Carolina Panthers.
If Tom Brady was in shape and came back, can he save the Carolina Panthers? No.
If that's a good question, man.
We need to put that up, which you asked in that as a poll.
Pause.
Who could save the Carolina Panthers?
What quarterback do you think
could save the Carolina Panthers?
The thing about it, and that's what I was saying yesterday,
football's the ultimate team sport.
One person cannot save the Carolina Panthers.
A quarterback is not just gonna be fixing the Carolina Panthers. A quarterback is not just
going to be fixing the Carolina Panthers because if the receivers aren't on the same page, if the
running backs aren't playing good, if the defense isn't doing good, if special teams is not aligned.
There's too many elements in football that have to go right for a team to be good. The quarterback
just gets all the praise when they win and get all the blame when they don't.
That's just the highest position on the team.
But that doesn't mean that one quarterback
is gonna save any team.
You gotta have people catch the ball.
And like I said, the three phases of the game,
defense, offense, and special teams.
Everybody has to be there.
That's why I just told you yesterday,
I'd be mad at 200 niggas if I played football.
It's just too many niggas.
Yeah, because you can do your part, he does.
Yeah.
He'll do his part, we still gonna lose.
But you gotta think about this.
If the offense goes up this field,
let's say it's a game on the line, any team,
I'm just naming any team.
You go up the field, you score the ball,
and you got a minute left and you up six points.
And then the other team comes down
and scores a touchdown with no time on the clock.
You're mad at the whole defense.
How y'all let these niggas,
y'all niggas let these niggas,
this is what I'm saying,
there's too many things that gotta go right.
That's what I was saying about Jared,
he had 307 yards but it didn't matter.
And I know we play around a lot,
or if we all play around,
but Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow,
but Joe Burrow didn't get it.
Joe Burrow didn't, he couldn't get on the field.
But when they talk about it, they say,
Patrick Mahomes against Joe Burrow.
Joe Burrow didn't get an opportunity to get on the floor.
That's the defense of Cincinnati.
So now the defense doesn't do their job.
So now, because the defense don't do their job,
they go, well, Joe Burrow loses to Patrick Mahomes.
That was, what can you do?
That's why I said football is the ultimate team sport.
I just would have been mad at too many niggas
if I played that game, especially if I did my part.
Yeah, I agree with all that.
And I can't actually help but feel bad
because Bryce Young was just put in a bad situation because even when like Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield left,
they both have better success in the situation and team that they're in now.
So to put the blame on him, especially now that they have a new head coach, like I just
feel like isn't realistic, but at the same time, they have to make those changes because
they're not seeing any sort of progress.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
I hear y'all but are y'all looking at his numbers?
Are you looking at his numbers
that really say it's not his fault?
I mean, he is part of the problem,
but I think he still has to develop.
He started 18 games and I know you're expecting
like a quick transition, but like that's not realistic.
When you say his numbers, Mace, I don't know his numbers.
Yeah, like if we're talking about on,
let's say on underdog, right?
And we say, is Prescott gonna have over 220 yards
or this person gonna have over 250?
When you're having 84 yards, that's bad.
No, I understand that, but what I would do is,
and I'm not disagreeing with you at all.
If you're gonna throw them stats out there,
and I don't know the answer.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm speaking of this 84 yards.
Yeah, what I'm saying is I don't know the answer,
but let's look, if you're gonna do that to that young fella,
let's count how many drops they have.
Yes.
Count how many targets or niggas
not running the right routes. Now,
running the right routes, you can't put that as a stat. But when you say how many drops,
that goes into negotiation with your contract. Because if you're sitting there and you pass
the ball and somebody got throughout the year, let's say for instance, I'm negotiating with you Mase, you like Cam, you got throughout the year 219 passes and completed
and I be like, yeah, but it's 197 drops.
That's them niggas fault, I can't pass to myself.
So I don't know the drops.
I'm just saying, let's just, you could be a hundred percent
right with the 84 yards and it could be zero drops.
I'm just saying, we also have to keep that into effect
and that's part of the team shit that I was talking about.
So I'm not disagreeing with you, I just said.
Yeah, he had, let's say he had,
he was 13 for 30 against the New Orleans Saints, right?
And then for 161 yards.
So how many of those was drops?
And out of the 17.
I will have to go back and get that.
But he had two interceptions and he lost 47 to 10.
Then he comes back this week and he goes for 18,
which is really good, 18 for 26 passing,
but only for 84 yards,
no touchdowns and interception and they lose again.
So the coach is probably just thinking,
we've already came to all time low last year with you.
And these first two games is letting us know
that we could possibly repeat
and we could break our all time worst record.
And I don't know if the coach has the ability
to lose that much in a row.
You know, sometime with the coach,
it's like, I'm gonna lose my job,
so instead of losing my job, I gotta give up your job.
And I think that's what it's balling down to
in North Carolina.
Yeah, and it gotta be bad when, no disrespect,
when you're going with Andy Dalton, because the fucking Bengals didn't turn around till Andy Dalton left. and it's gonna be a big deal. And it's gonna be a big deal. And it's gonna be a big deal. And it's gonna be a big deal. And it's gonna be a big deal. And it's gonna be a big deal.
And it's gonna be a big deal.
And it's gonna be a big deal.
And it's gonna be a big deal. And it's gonna be a big deal.ton, it gotta be bad. Yeah. Terrible situation.
OK.
And then sources say Jamar Chase has no plans
to negotiate a long-term deal with the Bengals this season
and believes the team misled him during the offseason.
He has also taken out a $50 million insurance policy
on himself for this season to safeguard against injury
and any potential lost earnings.
So where do you guys feel like this narrative shift came from?
Because at first it was like, OK, I want a new deal.
Now it's you know, he was misled.
I don't like this.
I don't like the way this sound, actually.
But I do like the idea that he said he's going to take out a 50
million dollar insurance policy on itself.
It lets me know that he's taking this as serious about his future and about the
money that he's supposed to make. When you look at somebody like chase,
he's probably thinking, well,
I like we were talking to him before the season started that, you know,
Joe Burrows and others will probably put the call out to the front office and
get this deal done. But when it doesn't get done, he's probably, you know,
it's just not a situation you want with this kind of team,
because even against Kansas City, they show that this is a promising team.
And when things like this doesn't happen,
it could erode the chemistry and the trust between players.
And that won't lead to many wins. When you, when things get hard pause,
you gotta be with people that you know,
and you trust that we're all on the same page and stuff like this
communicates and screams to players that we're not on the same page.
So people are going to be playing for themselves instead of playing for the
team.
And that won't allow them to be a proper opponent
for Kansas City come late in the season.
Fuck it, the season started.
We've been trying to get this done since last year,
the off season, pre-season, training camp, et cetera.
The job didn't get done, the deal didn't get done.
Now I'm playing and I don't want to do a deal
if things go right.
And Kansas City may, I'm sorry, not Kansas City,
Cincinnati Bengals may feel like, whatever.
They starting off 0-2 already, so this is already,
and he's not playing that well this very moment.
We have a lost season ahead of us.
But most recently, this happens all the time when,
I'm not gonna say happens all the time,
when we don't get a deal,
when the player doesn't get a deal done
before the season starts that they want,
and they gamble on theirself.
Not saying he's in that predicament
because obviously Cincinnati hasn't put anything
on the table that he wanted.
See, Jerry Jones, he didn't want this season
lingering with that, so he took care of Dak Prescott before the season started.
And he took care of CD Land before the season started.
Because what happens is this, if they play good,
and talking about Chase, then when it's time to renegotiate,
it's going to be worse than what I was trying to get
in the very first place.
And if it's not going to be worse, you know what?
I'm outta here, I'm leaving.
Most recently, and I'm not a big baseball fan,
but most recently, this happened with Aaron Judd, right?
You're like, did this happen with Aaron Judd?
With Aaron Judd, they wanted to give him a contract
and they didn't get it done,
and he bust ass and charged the Yankees extra.
Yeah, exactly, I remember this. and I was watching it, you know,
just highlights and a casual baseball fan.
I only be honest with you,
I love baseball when the Yankees get to the playoffs
outside of that.
I'm not gonna say I keep up,
but I do keep up with the business of it.
And I remember the Yankees were bullshitting.
They didn't wanna give Aaron Judd that money
and he knew he was that nigga.
And he said, you know what?
Bet, say no more.
Heard you, say less, all that.
Went out there, set all type of records, bust ass, pause.
And it cost the Yankees more than they probably
was going to initially give them.
I don't know if this is the same situation for Jamar Chase,
but he has a long way to go,
especially starting off 0 and 2,
but it's a gamble on himself.
And it's not really a gamble
because at least with Aaron Judd,
they had something on the table,
it just wasn't what he wanted.
I don't know what's on the table for Jamar Chase.
And to be totally honest with you,
if I'm the Cincinnati Bengals organization,
I would try to nip this in the butt sooner
than later because it doesn't look good for you guys right now.
Okay. And then real quick, before we go to break, we got a little injury report. So Debo
Samuel strained his calf Sunday and is expected to miss a couple weeks with him out and Christian
McCaffrey injured. Having a lot of bad luck this season already.
12%. Yeah. It's over of bad luck this season already. Oh for sure. Yeah.
It's over.
That's how you feel.
Yeah, man. They're not going to, they couldn't win without McCaffrey.
They definitely not going to win without McCaffrey and Deebo.
I mean, Jordan Mason was cool, but they're not going to, he's not going to
be able to do all of that by himself.
And I don't think they're expected to, you know?
When you got Purdy, they say Purdy was a game manager,
but if you take all of the superstars out,
he gotta be more than a manager.
And I don't know if he's up for that task,
but shout out to the coach Callahan and everybody else
that's up there doing a phenomenal job.
But you gotta have players to win.
You gotta have superstars to win in this league.
I was just about to say that, it's Shanahan.
I meant Shanahan.
Yeah, I was about to say,
I think that Shanahan's a brilliant football man,
come from a brilliant football family.
His father Mike Shanahan, another brilliant guy.
If anybody could figure it out,
I think he's the coach that could figure it out
and use the players that he got.
Is this a tall task to ask without McCaffrey and DeBell?
Hell yeah.
100% is a tall task.
Can they do it?
I don't know.
If I had to put that money today,
I would have to agree with Mace.
But if one coach could figure out schemes, plays, route,
using the personnel that they have available.
I wouldn't go against him because he's almost
like a fucking genius when it comes to calling schemes
and plays and everything else.
I think he's probably at the top of my list
for our offensive mind in the NFL.
So we'll see what happens,
but quick speedy recovery to those guys.
Definitely hoping that they get better soon.
OK, we're going to go to break when we return.
We will discuss L.
Duncan's comments on Tua. Don't go anywhere. She call this thing a boss toxic, 4 years and counting
Got you feeling like a option, Maybe I'm my own problem babe
She tired of hearing I don't know What's up and it me won't fall
Killing with this thing called trust
But she really thinking about it
She wanna be free
Why am I here this one way?
Free
Hell I don't wanna see her walk away I wish somebody told me the rules Welcome back.
Now let's get into our underdog picks of the day.
So this Sunday, the Giants will play the Browns.
Underdog has Daniel Jones at 199 and a half passing yards.
Do you have him higher or lower, Mace?
Lower.
Told you anything with Daniel Jones.
Thumbs down, nigga.
Pause.
Only thing I would do with Daniel Jones
is that nigga money.
I know the Giants is pissed they paid that nigga.
Under, nigga.
Trust me on this one.
Pause.
I remember the draft when he got drafted.
I was like, why did they do this?
But go ahead and start.
Okay, Deshaun Watson is at 207 and a half passing yards.
Do you have him higher or lower cam?
High against the Giants.
200 and what?
207 and a half passing yards.
He better have higher.
He's one of these games, Deshaun Watson,
that you need to be like, all right,
niggas have been talking shit, I'm tired of it.
Have one of these 270, 290, 300 yard games.
If it's a breakout game, this is the team to do it against.
They'll be like, okay, he look good. Will you get a lot of props? Not really, because it's a breakout game, this is the team to do it against. They'll be like, okay, he look good.
Will you get a lot of props?
Not really, cause it's the Giants.
But at least he'll look good in the stats.
Where are they playing at?
I think they're playing.
They could be playing in this studio.
It don't matter where that niggas is playing at.
Sorry Demetri, Meatpaw just told me he a Giants fan.
Like to admit you a Giants fan, you a Giants fan.
You a Giants fan, right.
And then Malik Navar is at 65 and a half receiving yards.
Do you have him higher or lower?
Mase.
How many?
65 and a half receiving.
I'm gonna go higher.
I'm gonna lower on that.
Okay, if you're rocking with the picks, remember you get two free picks this week Hmm. I'm gonna go higher. I'm gonna lower on that.
Okay, if you're rocking with the picks,
remember you get two free picks this week
if you're not already on underdog.
So make sure y'all sign up right now and download the app.
Okay, so this has caused a lot of discussion on the internet.
A lot of people feel a lot of different ways about it,
but I wanna get you guys' opinion.
So ESPN analyst, Elle Duncan Duncan gave her piece on a segment
about Tua suffering a concussion and said,
as someone who is a woman who has two scars
that go from hip to hip because I've had two C-sections
in an effort to provide for my family
and create a family for my family, I understand sacrifice.
A black woman in this country whose morality rates
are incredibly high, I understand sacrifice. A black woman in this country whose morality rates are incredibly high, I understand making sacrifices
and trying to mitigate risk when it comes to your family,
expanding your family and protecting your family.
A lot of people obviously are upset with what she said
because they don't understand the correlation.
But what did you guys think about the correlation
of the discussion and what she had to say
in response to Tua getting a concussion?
I didn't understand what you just said.
You kill us.
No.
I understand what she said.
I don't see the correlation.
Yeah, that's what I mean.
As a black woman in America.
As a black woman in America.
You wanna tell us what the correlation is?
Yeah.
Yeah, black woman in America.
Why don't you tell us what the fuck she talking about?
Break it down for the remedial.
Yeah.
I don't know myself. As a black woman in America, I ain't never had a baby. I don't know nothing us what the fuck she talking about? Break it down for the remedial. Yeah. I don't know myself.
As a black woman in America, I never had a baby.
I don't know nothing about C-section,
none of that for myself.
I know what a C-section is.
Yeah.
What's the quote?
She was saying, like, making sacrifice.
So I think just him continuing to play football,
like she's like, I understand him making sacrifice,
because I make a sacrifice as a woman giving birth.
That's what I'm thinking her correlation is.
Is she correlating having a baby
with him going to play for the Dolphins?
That's what I'm getting from what she said.
Oh my. I don't get it.
I don't get it.
What do you mean you say, so let me, let me,
just so I'm clear, I don't say I'm ignorant.
That is trying to troll us.
No, I'm saying this, I just want to make sure,
cause niggas be like, can be bugging.
If you have a C-section,
that mean it can come through your vagina.
Yeah.
And why couldn't it come through?
I don't, that's what I'm saying.
I don't know a vagina like that,
but I'm just saying that,
was it a choice that you had a C-section?
What's the sacrifice?
And no disrespect.
No disrespect.
No disrespect whatsoever.
I just don't understand the correlation.
Yeah, we're four C-sections and we're four.
We're four healthy babies being born.
However it comes, vagina, stomach, whatever.
You asked sex to have that baby.
I don't understand what sacri- I'm trying to figure out the sacrifice. I don't understand what sacri,
I'm trying to figure out the sacrifice.
I don't know, murder.
I don't know.
They gonna say we wilded out.
They already gonna say that.
Do you get it, White?
Do you understand what's going on?
Do you get it?
I don't.
It was, it wasn't the time for that.
We're talking about two of the questions,
so I don't know what to see.
I gave my sacrifice for my family.
You ain't have a choice.
You're in the hospital and you're gonna have a baby.
I don't know, maybe I just don't.
And there's a reason you have a C-section.
Most people don't just say, hey, I'm gonna have this C.
So, and I don't mean that in a funny way,
it's just the truth.
I don't know, I don't know.
I just don't understand the correlation.
I think, and no disrespect, I'm happy that you're healthy.
And the baby's healthy.
And the baby's healthy and your family is healthy.
And you sacrificed for your family.
I thought this was selfish, I'm gonna be honest.
It seems selfish.
Talking about tour, what ain't about tour?
Niggas always gotta make it about them. Why you gotta make it about you? It's not even about tour. We're talking about- Niggas always gotta make it about them.
Why you gotta make it about you?
It's not even about you.
You said you helped me, the kids is good.
It's about tour.
This was the time you took time out for yourself.
I'm gonna say you're selfish on this.
I'm gonna take my time out.
Say this was a selfish moment, L. Duncan.
We're talking about a tour, go BI. Yeah. I think this is why I'm selfish moment, Ms. Elle Duncan. We working about it too, we're gonna be all right.
I think this is why I'm selfish, my thing.
Yeah, thank you.
Yeah, I'm just curious.
You made this up about you.
Yeah, this thing is just...
This ain't your time, yo.
We dig it.
You know, you got plenty of resources at ESPN
to get your documentary out there.
When it's time.
Yeah, why would you put your baby in his concussion?
And it's like.
It's like.
All right, hold on, hold on, Murda.
Yeah, we gotta chill, we gotta chill.
No, we don't gotta chill.
That's what we don't gotta do.
We don't gotta chill. That's what we don't gotta do. We don't gotta chill.
That's what we don't gotta do.
But we don't gotta chill.
We don't gotta chill.
But we do gotta do it, too.
We gotta get stata opinion,
because sometimes she trying to fend us off
like it's just me and you.
Like it's just, I don't really be with them niggas
when they rallying out.
Do you feel this was a selfish moment on her part, stat?
What is your opinion?
Don't give us the corporate answer.
I'm not, this is not a good answer.
What are you looking at?
That's why I chose this as a topic
because I think it was kind of funny.
Shout out to her and I'm happy that she's healthy.
And I understand where she was going with it,
but like you guys said,
the correlation doesn't make any sense,
especially y'all being men.
And obviously like mainly men tend to watch sports
more than women, obviously women watch sports too.
But the way like you guys heard that quote
and you guys completely tuned out,
we're like, what is she saying?
I think a lot of people felt that way.
So this is what I'm talking about.
Hold on.
You knew where she was going, but she missed the exit.
No, but the whole thing, Mernad,
not even cut you off.
See how she say you guys tuned out. What did you do? You knew where she was going, but she missed the exit. No, but the whole thing might not even cut you off.
She said, you guys tuned out.
What did you do?
Are you damn with us or not?
You always you guys and us.
She thinks and I.
You didn't say we tuned out.
You guys tuned out.
You damn to think of this as selfish or not.
You boarded up.
No, yeah, I did.
And I agree with y'all.
It was just that was funny.
But before, OK, yes, she said her did. Yeah, I agree with you. It was just that was funny.
Before like, OK, yes, she said her piece.
Stephen A said his piece as well.
So I'm going to read both.
I'm not going to read the whole quote, kind of long.
He said there are sacrifices that I make as a father all the time.
I'm not around my daughters as much as I would like to be.
I'm not with my family as much as I would like to be.
He continues and then just says these football players make those decisions
every single day as men provide protect. That's our number one priority. That's how most of us think and plays a role in that
kind of decisions that men make. So then when Stephen A said that, I think she said that in
response to correlate. But to you guys' point, I don't see the correlation.
I think they both were selfish.
This guy, man, yo, a guy dying on a field,
let me stop laughing, is not remotely close to what we have to do in a non-contact, pause job.
It's just not the same.
And remember before they try to say something else.
Now, not saying having a C-section isn't dangerous, it is,
but it's not, I just don't understand the correlation.
You know what I'm saying?
And I'm not saying that she shouldn't have brought it up.
I just don't think that was the town to bring it up.
You hear what I'm saying?
Like, just for a period.
And as far as what Steven A. Smith said,
fine, look, this is, this is,
what you gotta realize is this.
Until you make enough money as a professional athlete
and get the right people around you
to make the proper investments?
And sometime that never happens.
Your football check is just your football check.
You may not get a Nike deal,
you may not get Gatorade deal,
you may invest in the property or anything that goes awry.
So your football check may be your only football check.
Nine out of 10 times,
a lot of athletes that are really good,
whether it's basketball, soccer, tennis, football,
whatever, have been doing this
since they've been six, seven years old,
so they don't really know anything else.
So if you're sitting there,
there's somebody who's 24 or 25,
who has not got all the money
to take care of their family longevity,
then they're saying,
I gotta figure a way to get back out here.
We have an analyst on the show
for people who have not tuned in the last couple of weeks named Michael Irvin.
He said he broke his neck.
His family was really, really concerned about him going back out there.
And he was like, what Michael Irvin said was after he broke his neck,
all the doctors told him he couldn't play anymore.
And he went and found the doctor that finally said, now you're going to be.
So 25 doctors told him, no, basically.
But he said, I'm gonna find me one dumb ass doctor
to say, nah, it ain't gonna be that bad.
And he did.
And his family was upset about it.
His family didn't want him to play anymore.
His family said, you know,
you're gonna put us through the stress of this.
And he was like, if I need to, I will.
But what he said was, I looked in the bank account,
seeing that he was gonna be financially stable,
basically the majority of the rest of his life.
And he said, I bet I'll retire.
But what he did say was,
if the bank account wasn't right,
I was going back out there.
And that's what these football mentality,
of a lot of football players mentality is,
because this is all they know at a young age,
until they get able to dive into other things
to generate revenue.
Good points, good takes.
I do agree with you all, but they said what they said and that's how they feel.
So you all got it.
OK, so Asia Wilson made history
by becoming the first WNBA player to score a thousand points in a single season.
She also broke Jewel Lloyd's single season scoring record.
How are we feeling about her accomplishment?
I think Asia been a big deal for a long time now.
I think this is just another portion of the greatness that she embodies.
And I'm happy for you.
Congratulations, Asia Wilson from everybody here at It Is What It Is.
We're all fans of what you do,
and we look forward to you having an even bigger year
next year.
I think you're in the beginning
of something that's gonna become greater.
I think when it's all said and done,
she may end up the best player that played in WNBA.
Yeah.
Before I even get to Asia,
what I will say is this.
This year in the WNBA,
we just been seeing records being broke every fucking week.
A different record is being broke every week.
And Asia's been in there a few years now.
So congratulations to her.
But, you know, Kaitlyn Clark,
and I know she's the hype train
or whatever people want to call her.
Every week she's breaking a new rookie record.
Not only just rookie records,
we have Angel Reese who's broken the all time record,
not just for rookies, for rebounds in one season.
And I believe a lot of eyes are on the WNBA now,
and as it should have been for many, many years,
but I would like to give a quick shout
before I get to Asia to Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark,
and the sponsors that they bring to the table
to get the light on them, to get them national games,
to get them the audience, so on and so forth.
Back to Asia, Mace may be 100% right.
She may be the best player before this is all said and done.
When I look at Asia Wilson play,
and I don't wanna say this or say it the wrong way,
it's not gender related when I watch her
with the basketball.
This is just somebody I see mechanics on,
which is like, fleek, whatever the new word for fleek is.
This is her mechanics as a human being.
It's textbook.
Yeah, it's textbook.
It's doesn't, if you're man, woman, or child.
Yeah.
Her triple threat, the way her form is,
the way she shoots, the way she gets to the basket,
man, woman, or child, I don't see her.
Like I said, I wanted them to seem like the wrong way.
She's like, man, she's not a beautiful woman.
I don't see man, woman, and child.
I see a figure, a shadow, if you will,
that knows how to play basketball the right way.
The way they show you in camp.
That's exactly how they show you.
Exactly.
That's what I see when I see her with the,
you know.
Don't lean when you do it.
Yeah, and somebody who just knows how to play the game
the right way.
So all praises to you, I'm happy that you're getting
the accolades and the respect that you should.
I see her Nike commercial, that shit is dope,
but y'all did the right thing.
Well, after, you know, niggas had to put pressure on y'all
to get her to sneak in and all that, you know what I'm saying?
But the commercial was really dope.
You know, looking at her throughout the season
when the Aces wasn't doing good, she was emotional,
saying she's trying to get her team involved.
They weren't playing good, she took matters
into her own hands, got the Aces back
in playoff contention,
went overseas, got a gold medal, came back,
picked up right where she left off before the season ended
for the Olympics.
Amazing, outstanding player, two time WNBA champion.
It's looking like to me, and I don't know this for a fact,
but if I had to predict, it's looking like a rematch
from last year between the Aces and the Liberty.
And I'm looking forward to that,
but congratulations to you, Asia Wilson.
Definitely agree.
Shout out the Aces,
because Asia's definitely having her way.
It's her year, so shout out to her.
It was her year last year.
Yeah, but like even more,
like especially like you said, like the Olympics,
and now like her and Bam are finally official,
the signature shoe, all that.
I love it.
What? Huh? What is official? I said her and Bam are finally official, the signature shoe, all that, I love it. What?
Huh?
What is official?
I said her and Bam finally official.
Oh, I knew you was going to.
I love it, I love it.
Is she like the Tim Duncan of the NBA,
like the fundamentals, you think?
It's her league until Angel Reese come back.
Angel Reese, I like Angel Reese, but it's just this girl.
And you know what makes it even better?
I'm not even putting Tim Duncan out there
because Tim Duncan wasn't really getting it at the key.
And what's the moves, he's the big fundamental, absolutely.
But something just about left-handed players
look better too, you know what I'm saying?
To me, when you're left-handed,
it just, it looks a little better to me when you're left-handed.
I don't know.
It's just something about left-handed players, but.
And back to what you was about to say,
I guess they made it official publicly,
but like who the fuck didn't know
Bam is at the fucking front row of all the fucking games?
Like people didn't know that was her boyfriend,
but I guess they made it official.
You're saying?
Not really, like basically like on accident,
the Miami mayor like-
I've seen that shit.
Yeah, you can explain to the audience.
Yeah, so the Miami mayor, when Bam got the keys
to the city, she obviously recognized Asia in the crowd.
And she was like, well, I'm assuming you're here
for Bam maybe, and she's like, try and play it off.
But it's like, they've been trying to play it off
for so long, we've already all seen it. Why do people try to play it off. But it's like, they've been trying to play it off for so long. We've already all seen it.
People try to play it off.
People being your business bad.
Like, because the same way, like you guys are like, oh, and not you guys,
we all say fixing that when somebody gets a boyfriend or something, we're like,
oh, well, now they're playing bad.
Like, you don't want any of that.
Like you just want it to be on your game.
Well, why why bring them if you don't want people to think y'all are together?
I mean, that's a big moment.
So like showing up, like that's, they like it.
The whole thing about it for me, personally, seriously,
for me and both of y'all, like you said,
if you don't want niggas to know that's what type of time
I'm on, wait for me at home, outside or in the car
and I won't show up to y'all shit.
Y'all both in the fucking league.
I ain't like, I gotta beat it.
Yeah, he's showing up, but don't wanna be seen.
Yeah, but he's sitting at the front row at the Olympics.
Look, what I was gonna say is this.
You have to give Asia Wilson credit for bam jump shot.
Yo fam, this nigga out of jump shot,
he don't know, he didn't say it was a hike,
but you practicing with your shorty.
She, her shit wet.
You know, this shit wasn't wet like that.
She can't have the best jump shot in the house.
Yeah.
He, they talking about your splash brother
at the Olympics, all type of dumb shit.
Asia Wilson needs to get more credit.
She got him hot.
Yeah, she got him.
His jump shot is mid range three point game.
I've been telling people, we haven't talked about it on the show, but my opinion is the. His jump shot is mid-range three-point game. I've been telling people,
we haven't talked about it on the show,
but my opinion is the reason his jump shot got better
because you're hanging out with Agent Wilson,
that's my personal opinion.
Good company.
Yeah, your shit wasn't like that.
The dick is calling you the splash brother and all that.
Get that woman her props when you get home, nigga.
Okay, and then last topic,
it's looking like this will be the last time before we end.
So Shannon Sharp drops a new Michelle merch, obviously inspired by his viral moment the
other week.
How do you guys feel about this business decision?
X cam, I don't really understand.
Basically after that video where he was having sex on live, he's been having merch,
the girl's name was Michelle, supposedly.
That's my Michelle.
So now they saying that's Barack girl,
but he's saying that's my Michelle.
He's selling all type of shit since this quote unquote
sex thing came out on live.
Oh, I get it.
So he's taking advantage of the situation.
So Stat was it.
So I only like it if Michelle is getting a portion
because you can't be selling stuff off my name.
I don't feel that.
The thing is, it's damn Michelle.
Look man, I don't know if this whole shit stay like,
you know that nigga was talking about niggas,
right?
He talking about me really.
He was talking.
What'd he say?
He ain't gonna say my name.
He ain't say nigga's name,
but that way that's be like, he ain't talking about niggas.
But after, you know, I did a little shit on my gram,
you know, you know, I was having fun with the pause
about the situation and shit kinda went viral a little bit or whatever.
So the next day he comes on his show and he's like basically everybody talking about me,
I don't really care if it ain't Joe Rogan or they the Kelsey brothers, everybody else is underneath
me. So I wouldn't pay attention when nobody say only person I would listen to is Joe Rogan or the
Kelsey brothers. Once again, the white man is the only person that you will listen to is Joe Rogan or the Kelsey Brothers. Once again, the white man is the only person
that you would listen to.
Again.
Shay-Shay, sometime I think about what you said.
Put your glasses on.
Put your glasses on.
If it ain't the Kelsey Brothers or Joe Rogan,
I ain't listen to them niggas.
He ain't saying your name or nothing like that.
But he basically-
The ice is colder when it's white, baby.
The ice is colder when it's white.
But he basically tried to say everybody else
that was talking shit about him is beneath him, pause.
He's basically saying everybody black is beneath him.
Yeah, yeah, that's how you said it.
We heard you.
We heard you loud and clear. We heard you loud and clear.
We heard you loud and clear.
But what I don't get still is like,
why is just making a comment on the situation
considered hating?
Cause it's like, you did that.
We're making comments.
That's what we're supposed to do.
Same way you make comments.
Cause literally the other day, like I was asking,
cause I was thinking about it.
I was like, why is it called Club Shaysay?
I was like, why is he called Shaysay? Everybody? I was like, why is he called Shae Shae?
Everybody's like, oh, you're hating, dah, dah, dah.
And I'm like, no, as a grown man,
why are you called Shae Shae?
I don't understand that.
And that's not hating, that's a genuine question.
And that's the ladies' answer.
I just don't get it.
Because, and I'm not being funny, I'm just asking the question.
It is S-H-A.
Shay-Shay.
But it's Shannon, it's Shay.
Yeah, but Shannon, like why would you just pick up Shannon?
Like Shay-Shay?
What Stata's saying is you can't say Shay-Shay
without twisting your, I don't want to hear it.
That's what she said.
I just got questions and I just wanted answers.
Apparently that's considered hating.
I just wanted to know why the man was called Che Che.
That was it, so.
I don't know.
Look, as far as the merch is concerned,
you should take advantage of the situation.
Why not?
I mean, shit, you're lying to me for this,
my personal opinion.
Yeah, we just be joking up here.
I don't be joking.
I don't be joking.
Okay.
I don't be joking.
I be joking.
Don't take me too serious.
I think, well, he already got mad at you.
Yeah, you had put a little sermon together
for the nigger one day.
Yeah, I think it was true.
Yeah, you straightened my pores.
But the end of the day, what I will say on a serious note
is look, I'm not backing down, pause.
I think it was staged and you're taking advantage
of what it is.
You say you accidentally went live
and I'm not gonna dwell on it.
We went on the show already, but it's no way to just,
look, this your phone.
You put it down, you hit it, you don't go live.
Even if you open your phone from the joint
and then your phone is open, you gotta hit Instagram.
You gotta go to post, you gotta go to live.
Then you gotta hit the live again.
It's how you just-
It's four to five steps?
Yeah, I just did the steps. It's four steps that you gotta do. So there. It's, how you just- It's four to five steps? Yeah.
I just did the steps.
It's four steps that you gotta do.
So there's no way that was accidental.
It's four steps you gotta do to go live.
And that's after your fold is open.
That's after you hit the joint.
And he said-
Is that true stuff?
Yeah, I don't even understand.
I'm telling you right now, look.
Walks you through it.
Look, this is right here.
And the audience probably know you do.
You go to Instagram, boom.
What's already on there? Cause I just put it on there.
Let's close the app out just so murder can see.
One.
One.
Two.
Yeah.
Three.
Three.
Four.
It's four things to do.
You can't just put your phone down and be like, yo.
Because what he says is I never been on the app before, so I just put my phone down and be like, yo. Cause what he says is I never been on the app before
so I just put my phone down and shit was online.
Come on, my nigga.
Just come on, my nigga.
And murder voice.
Come on, my nigga.
Niggas gotta go.
Yo, we got this.
At the end of the day, he beat the system.
He beat the system. Yeah, day, he beat the system.
Yeah, listen.
He beat the system.
Well I told niggas, look.
Until Michelle need high.
Yeah, look, the shit went viral.
He's selling merch.
Look, my thing is this.
If it work for you, it work for you.
Tell niggas, look, don't be bad at work,
but you wet status it.
You can't get mad at people for commenting on some shit you lined up for people to see
and then people talk about it.
And you say everybody's beneath you that's talking about it.
Pause, which I'm never beneath you, nigga.
If you're not talking about me, I'll pause out.
But the only niggas you pay attention to
is the Kelsey brothers and Joe Rogan as well to say.
My opinion.
But love you, love opinion, but love you.
Love you.
Pause.
Here we go.
Well, that's all the time that we have for today.
Thanks for watching.
And as always, it is what it is. Thanks for watching guys!
