Starting point is 00:00:52 in bonus credits with your first deposit and a free pick. I'm Treasurer Willisann, AKA STATbaby, along with your hosts Mace and Cam. By the way, what's good, man? What's good, man? Good to see you. How you doing, man? Man, man, it's been a freaky week. Oh.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Oh. Oh. To say the least. To say the least. Yeah, it's been a real nasty freaky week to say the least. I don't know if I want to be top five anymore, you know? The way things are going on out here. It's been a freaky week man man, to say the least, man.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Can I ask you a question, Mase? Yeah. First of all, glad to have you back. You've been missed. Yeah. But it has been a crazy week. In your opinion, what do you feel like- It's been a freaky week, Steph.
Starting point is 00:01:37 Freaky week. A freaky week. In your opinion, what do you feel like was the craziest headline you saw? I don't know which one is crazy. No, no, no, the Kanye one was crazy. That was crazy. I don't even know what to say.
Starting point is 00:01:59 Some things you just gotta stay out of pause. You gotta stay out of that one. I just found out about the Carl Yates thing this morning when y'all guys brought it up, I didn't even know this was a thing. Yeah. Could you update me? Yeah, so for those who don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:12 Cause I didn't know. Yay, basically. I'm not covering my ears, I'm covering my ears. Yeah, Yay just posted a tweet basically saying that he released a new song called Cousin, it was about his sexual relations that he had with his male cousin.
Starting point is 00:02:25 They were reading inappropriate sexual things, they did the acts upon each other and basically him saying after the fact that cousin did got in some legal trouble and he felt like he may have had something to do with it by telling them they could not participate in dirty things anymore with each other. So basically, they was sucking on each other. Yeah. They was what? They was sucking on each other.
Starting point is 00:02:51 They just be conveniently gay. Like, yo, yo, it's like, yo, let's be gay for a little while now, cause this man is popping. So now let's talk about when I was gay at one time. Yo, and I don't have nothing against gay people. Like I said, I respect the gay people that say they gay. I don't really like the people that's, when I'm talking about gay people that's
Starting point is 00:03:16 hiding that they're gay in the closet, that's what I'm saying. Come on, say that you gay, if that's what you doing, cool. Kanye been in the public eye for at least going on 20 years if not longer, maybe 22, 23 years, maybe, if I'm not mistaken. And now you gay or have gay acts or whatever the point be,
Starting point is 00:03:35 shit ain't working. Everything he got going on ain't seem to been working. He had Swastika, he's Hitler last month, wasn't he Hitler? And then he was a KKK nigga about three weeks ago. Now he molested his cousin and he going to do a song about it. It's just too convenient. See and you know what I like what academics did to be totally honest with you? What academics did was he filmed everything in that interview.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Now imagine that interview would have started with the KKK shit on. You'd be like, oh, this nigga's crazy. Oh, this nigga Kanye as well. He filmed when he came in, Kanye was a regular person. Hey man, how you doing? What's happening?
Starting point is 00:04:16 Cool? Let me go change and put my shit on. Come back out now, let me get the BA now. Then when he thought the interview was over and they stopped taping, he took the shit off and was a regular cool nigga again. I would go for some of this shit, pause, if we didn't just see shit like that.
Starting point is 00:04:32 And not just shit like that. When I'm around Kanye, I don't see none of the crazy shit. I haven't been around him in years, maybe like three years ago, I've seen him for about an hour or two. But he's a regular guy that weren't the rap and did hot beats and so on and so forth. And he figured out a lane for himself.
Starting point is 00:04:50 He started with Snatchers, Shits, and Paparazzi. He won his pitches, got around the right bitches that made his celebrity grow and made their celebrity grow too. And I remember Dave took him out. Cam, he's bipolar, he don't be taking his medicine. I never knew this. I'm not saying he is, I'm not playing with people who are bipolar, I get it.
Starting point is 00:05:11 I just never seen none of this shit. I've been around Kanye for a long time, a long time ago. I just didn't see him murder. Is that still your son? Oh my God. That's a crazy. That's a crazy. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:05:26 You said I was your son. No, I saw you put your son aside. I just wanted to. That was a good. That was a good. I got to pray for Ye, man. I don't know that guy, you know what I'm saying? But, you know, I don't know what to say.
Starting point is 00:05:53 This is just wow, yo. It's just a yes or no question. That person is not myself. Okay. Got you. And what I'm saying is if this is true, what I will say is this. I lived in Chicago for about five years,
Starting point is 00:06:09 shout out to the West Side, K-Town, all my niggas on the South Side, the Hunnids and everything. Everybody know I stayed up in Chicago for about four or five years. And Chicago is one of the best towns, best cities. I love Chicago because I got New York vibes, but it was super duper valence, don't get that fucked up. But the women were more cool.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Like it wasn't New York, like New York girls are a little rough or whatever. It was like New York vibes, I'm talking about to me, the West Side of Miami, Harlem South, so I was like Brooklyn, they got trains, they have a downtown, et cetera. It was landscape-wise, it was like New York.
Starting point is 00:06:46 And I had a real good time. But, and I'm not saying nothing about the city of Chicago, but two of the biggest superstars ever, ever. There's some molestation nasty, peeing on bitches shit. There's a lot of shit going on with two of the biggest superstars ever, not just from Chicago, ever in music history, where some personal nasty shit going on.
Starting point is 00:07:10 I know what was going on up there like that. This was before I got there, obviously, but y'all putting the stain on a good city, man. Y'all need to cut this shit, baby. I'll just add. Sound like you wanted to say something. Nah it just seemed like Ye going through a lot. I think he's really just trying to, hopefully, I hope he's trying to find his way back to himself, but you got to have the right people around you and things like that.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Because when something like this comes out, I reached out to a few people that I know used to be close to them, but they're no longer close to them. So I don't know really who's around. And I pray you make it back because this is crazy. I wouldn't do all of this to sell music. I definitely wouldn't. Like what you were saying, Killer, I believe that's what's happening, but I definitely wouldn't do this to sell music. I definitely wouldn't like what you were saying, Killa. I believe that's what's happening, but I definitely wouldn't do this to sell music.
Starting point is 00:08:08 We know you wouldn't do it. Do you believe he's doing it? I definitely, but I think, I think he's definitely using it to sell the music and that's, and that's the sad part about it. Yeah. And not only that, I, and listen, I want to get better too, but I'm gonna stop feeling sorry for niggas with money. Cause this niggas with no money who getting evicted tomorrow, they don't got the rent money, somebody died in their family, they can't pay for the funeral. Niggas gotta live in the projects
Starting point is 00:08:32 where they don't like niggas on the other side of the projects, niggas shooting on this side of projects, niggas up the block don't like niggas down the block, you gotta stay in that environment. Yeah, you can get on the flight and go anywhere. I'm not gonna keep sorry for niggas who could change their circumstances It's niggas who stuck in certain circumstances who can't change their circumstances But we steady giving pity to niggas who could change their environment. I'm not doing I hope my man get his rent money that he need because I gave it to him last month Hopefully he'll get it again this month. It's situations like that, you know what I'm saying? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:08 And I hope that it's another nigga I know. Last year, I helped his son pay for his tuition. It's another year. They have to pay for a tuition coming up this year. You get what I'm saying? I'm gonna help out, but that's his kid. You know what I'm saying? He ain't my man man but that's his kid. You know what I'm saying? He ain't my man, man like that.
Starting point is 00:09:26 You know, I do good, cause his son is good. I like his son a lot. But the point being is, is niggas in enough type of situations? Yeah. We got to stop this. Feeling sorry for niggas who know better. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:37 I like that. I can go with that. Yeah, man. Yeah, man. Cause if it was a situation, like I said, well, I seen the academic shit and I see them getting the character. I'm like, I don't know, man, because if it was a situation, like I said, well, I seen the academics and I see them getting the character. I'm like, I don't know, man. And he needed to give that statement to academics.
Starting point is 00:09:53 If he was to start the interview with that on academics, it would have went viral from the jump. But it seemed like they didn't get the traction they wanted. So he's like, yo, I'm going to amp it up. Yeah. To be honest with you, the best person to ask about this is because we haven't been around in a while and like the like you know if bipolar not bipolar acting right not acting right it's that she was with the nigga about maybe less than a year ago. She's in the room hanging out with that nigga.
Starting point is 00:10:21 How did it go Stat when you was in the room? How did it nigga? How did it go, Stat, when you was in the room? How did it go, Stat? Should we go to the clip? You was playing beats and all that. Yeah. Maybe we should go to the clip with Stat in there when he was doing the rent. How was that rent when you was in there, Stat?
Starting point is 00:10:38 I plead the fifth. Why? You was in there for the rent? I plead the fifth. Stat that using it for the rent? I plead the fifth. It's not the go-finding rent, but you in it. I get tagged in it all the time. Like I don't even have much to say. I can't speak on that man's character. I can't speak on what's going on.
Starting point is 00:11:00 I can't speak on his life. So I'm a hush. But what I will say is Hurt people hurt people. He's clearly going through a lot. I hope that gets figured out I hope the comments about the different communities get figured out because Yes, he's made it clear that he has trauma But there's also been destruction amongst other communities that some things that you say just can't be taken back which I feel like just overall needs to be figured out. So I don't even know at this point what the solution would be.
Starting point is 00:11:32 I just hope somebody figures it out. Because to Mace's point, he was saying, trying to make sure he's good, trying to reach out to people who used to be around, they're no longer around. Who do you turn to when all the people that you were once around are no longer there? That's where it becomes dangerous because everybody that may be around may be just pushing them in the wrong direction because it keeps them in control or whatever it is they got. And it just seemed like it's going to be a very bad outcome. So I pray he finds somebody that he could talk to somebody that so he don't have to do all this on the internet because the internet is unforgiving. So when he turns around, he's running out of those options to where, you know, the first
Starting point is 00:12:15 couple of times like cam set people feel sorry, but after a while people, the gig is up and we see what you're doing. It just won't work that way no more. And you know, I got a lot of love for Ye, but I got to call black, black, you know what I'm saying? Nigga be with John Monop. That was one of the day ones, man. John Monop still in the circle. Darcy broke out.
Starting point is 00:12:39 John Monop, cause you know, I don't, you know, I didn't speak to Ye a few months ago when he's running around with the dips at Che, but niggas tried to reach out to me. And it was John Monop, like, yo, Ye wanna speak to you. And John Monop said, day one, this is what I'm saying. All this should be crazy. Oh, he's not with none of the,
Starting point is 00:12:58 yeah, you're with John Monopoly. I'm not jacking that name for John Monop's a day one. I'm not doing it. It's a case closed. I don't know.. I'm not doing it. It's a case closed. I don't know. I hope everybody figures it out. It's a lot. We're not even done unpacking.
Starting point is 00:13:10 Cause before we get into the game, Mase, I gotta ask you, we started a little discussion yesterday, all the Shannon Sharp stuff for those who are watching this new episode, basically he was being accused of sexual assault. On the side, he tried to offer the victim $10 million. She declined it.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Now they're trying to take it. She declined it. Oh, he offered. Yes, 10 million. They declined it. They want $50 million out of the case. Audios, audio files had been released. Text messages have been released. He released the video.
Starting point is 00:13:39 What is said in the audio? Because I want to make sure what I heard was what you heard. Something about choking her. And she was like, I don't wanna be choked. And he was like, yes you do. But he's claiming it was an edited audio file. There's a lot of different parts. And I know for the audience, I'm summing it up.
Starting point is 00:13:53 If you want to know more details, it is online. But Mase. It's new and also Mase's new audio came out yesterday. He said, you want a big black, I put a big black baby in you. He said, a little white girl put a big black baby in you, or something to that effect. Wow, wow, wow.
Starting point is 00:14:14 This is a lot. Where do we start? The girl is 19. He's how old? 54 or 56. Who does just say 50 in the late 50s, right? So he's in his late 50s. She 19.
Starting point is 00:14:31 This is a lot. This is a lot because I know when I'm hearing people, they're like, well, this wouldn't happen with a black girl. Let's start right there. With a black girl, he probably would have paid child support. Um, there's a lot of things that it would have been easier. I'm just going to say it. I'm not for this, but it would have been easier with a black girl. If he, if let's say she was from the projects, her name was Tonya, you know,
Starting point is 00:15:03 projects, her name was Latonya, you know. He wouldn't have been paying what he's paying. I just know that much. Y'all think I be laughing. I'm not trying to see this. This is why I don't talk. I'm not trying to make like, this is a serious matter, right? This is a real serious matter. Let's make it serious because I'm not trying to make like, this is a serious matter, right? This is a real serious matter. Let's make it serious, because I'm not trying to joke.
Starting point is 00:15:30 People would say that a man only end up here when he's being arrogant, right? When people get a bunch of money, they think they could do whatever they want to do. You know what I'm saying? I've been rich, I'm rich, Killer's rich. He's been rich. You know, a lot of people been rich and they still are rich. But I don't I don't think we've ever gotten to the place where we're takers.
Starting point is 00:15:54 You know, this is what I'm getting at. And for them to offer 10 million says that there might be some truth to this because I'm not offering nobody no 10 million. If I know I didn't do anything. And I think the only reason that 10 million didn't work killer. I want to know how you feel about this. I think the 10 million didn't work because the pimp need is cut, you know, just, just allegedly, I'm not saying there is a pimp, right?
Starting point is 00:16:21 Let me, let me, let me give you, it's just an idea. It's, this is just an idea. Right. So if there's if there's a pimp. Right. Why do you keep laughing? I know this is why they flew me back. And they want to know my take. But listen, all jokes aside. If if the girl said I want 10, I don't know my take, but listen, all jokes aside,
Starting point is 00:16:50 if the girl said I want 10, this may be the lawyer, right? Just hypothetically, all of these things, right? And the guy who put her on to Shannon was like, you didn't even know him, I put you on to him. You didn't even know who that was. You was asking about college. You was asking about college. You was asking about college. Yeah, this is your Thurgood Marshall right here. Him right there.
Starting point is 00:17:09 For real? Yeah, that nigga worth a lot of money. You know how guys be and they pushed her on her. And then she said, 10. He was like, 10 is my 10. You gotta put in your number for yourself. That don't have nothing to do with my tennis mind. That's what we discussed.
Starting point is 00:17:30 I'm just telling you, I ain't been out the streets that long. I know this is how P's think, you know what I'm saying? And if somebody's watching this and you know that behavior, you just put it in the chat and say it's Mace's line. And then another thing I want to look at in this whole entire case, right? I heard something about 50 or 25,000 a cheek. 25,000 a cheek. That's what she texted him. She need 25,000 per cheek.
Starting point is 00:18:02 What are you doing with a cheek to pay $25,000? No, this is, this is a lot, Paul, this is a lot to unpack. Just really thinking about it from an objective point of view. We, we pray all of this is, is, is like, um, a fallacy or, or some kind of hoax or something like this, because he was about to get a bunch of money. And you know, when you're about to get a bunch of money, people that hate on you just wait until you're about to get that money and rain on your parade. But we can't say that. And that's why I wanted to say it, to get stats opinion. I knew when I said that she was going to go, yeah, no, you can't be on your way to a hundred million.
Starting point is 00:18:50 I keep telling, Killer, right? And niggas picking these kind of girls. You can't do that. We talked about this with Ant-Man. We talked about this with several players. You just can't do that. You about to get a hundred million, you can't throw it away for IG model. Is she an IG model?
Starting point is 00:19:09 OnlyFans. OnlyFans. How does that work? She got her separate account and she do her thing on there and people pay. Is that the one like when people show their feet? You can. It's whatever the client wants. So just think about this.
Starting point is 00:19:24 If he... What can he do at this point? Killer, what can he do at this point? Yeah, I pay. He's not wrong. I don't want him to pay, but he already made an offer. Who told him that? Who told him to make an offer he already made an offer. Who told him that? Huh?
Starting point is 00:19:45 Who told him to make an offer? I don't know. Do you got to, it must be bad if you want to make an offer. I'm not making no offer. Niggas can say what they want. I'm not making no offer. Listen, I'm going to court. You gotta get it through the courts.
Starting point is 00:20:00 Yeah, listen. That's how you supposed to do it. I'm not giving up no money. Yeah, I mean, it sounds like she wanted to be fair about it. She, something about she wanted anal sex and got mad because he didn't put a condom on. It sounded like she wanted some, I was putting it like this,
Starting point is 00:20:17 my personal opinion is what I was rocking with, oh, I was rocking with Shannon, like this is Shakedare, because he moved from Cali to Nevada because he moved from Cali to Nevada. She moved from Cali to Nevada. And I was obviously 100% saying this some fucked up shit until I found out he offered money. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Like I was pretty much just having fun, but pause after you say he offered 10, that changes everything. Yeah, and then what he said also, I don't know if you know this part, when he made a statement, he said it's gonna be, he said, I believe what they're trying to do is gonna be 30 seconds of a sex tape
Starting point is 00:20:56 that comes out that's gonna try and make me look bad. If you wanna really make, if you wanna do everything, I don't, he said, I don't have the tape, but if you wanna show everything, show the whole ten minutes He said but 30 seconds of this tape makes him look really bad. So now we got audio of him saying he's choked up Once he's gonna choke her and he says some slick shit to her that Little white girl. I put a black baby in you now a violent 30 seconds of sex tape supposed to come out. Um, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:29 Yeah. I think, I think if, if I hope all of this is untrue, if it is true, then they, they got it. They got to do something about this. If, if ESPN, um, can, can endure this, then they should give guys like Paul Pierce's job back. They should give Matt Barnes his job back. And even Michael Irvin, our own, Michael Irvin should get his job back. If people are not just gonna honor
Starting point is 00:22:03 what they're supposed to honor, to me, I believe that he should keep his job if he's innocent, but if he's guilty and ESPN keeps him, then ESPN need to give all those people their job back. But I don't really know how this is going to turn out. That's true, though. That's very true. And all I saw really was the interview with Stephen A when he was speaking of it, and I was watching it very carefully
Starting point is 00:22:27 Killer Stephen A said something about this already. Yeah, because Stephen A He didn't stand with Shannon Sharp like he stood with Jay-Z when he heard about Jay-Z. He said the guy I know This is not true when it came this Shannon. He was like I wasn't there. In a nutshell, yeah. I gotta keep it ecstatic, you know what I'm saying? Because he wasn't there for Jay-Z neither. He wasn't there for Jay-Z.
Starting point is 00:22:59 You were not there for Jay-Z, but you went out on a limb because of the character of guy you know. So I'm not saying that you're wrong for that. I'm saying I would have thought that the same standard would be there, right, for a guy you work with every day. Or not every day, but you know. And I'm not taking a shot of Stephen A,
Starting point is 00:23:20 it's just observation. It does sound like you was taking a shot of Stephen A. Basically, from what you said, I didn't see Stephen A's shit, but what you, from what you, what I'm gathering, what you said for Stephen A's shit, he basically said, I don't know the nigga like that. I ain't put my, I ain't put my hundreds of millions
Starting point is 00:23:38 on the live form. Yeah, he like, though I want to hire the nigga, he a little freaky nigga, I don't really know the nigga that well. So whatever happened or whatever happens, I already know Stephen that he one of the people like this is gonna interfere with me, I have nothing to do with it.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Yeah, Stephen A is corporate. He said, I recruited Shannon, but I'm not the boss. Basically the other higher ups have to deal with it. That's what he said, verbatim. Yeah,. Oh yeah basically. Is that throwing him under the bus? A little bit but not really. In the streets he's throwing you under the bus but for corporate he's not because he's like I hired you and if I hire you and you do something crazy, then now ESPN is going to look at me when I bring somebody new in here, like, can we trust my decision making? And I need them to know.
Starting point is 00:24:31 I brought them here on talent. I didn't bring them here on, on morals and principles. Cause you got to remember this whole situation as the history goes, a couple months into the deal when he brought him in there, there was already an allegation, you know what I'm saying? So now with this coming out, it's just like the second thing. Cause remember there's the tape and Disney can't do that. I agree with the part you said niggas that they fired for less.
Starting point is 00:25:00 Yeah, they fired a lot of people for less. Yeah. See, even they say, I don't know the nigga, huh? I got to go watch that. Yeah, but the messed up part is the 100 million. I hope he really get that 100 million. But let me ask you something, killer. If you had 100 million on the table
Starting point is 00:25:17 and a joint from back in the day just say, you know what? I need 50. When you know, maybe you was, you didn't wild out, but you said some things on tape you wasn't supposed to say. Not that you did, but, and then she said, I need 50, what would be your response? Say get the trowel. I don't got a dollar, yo.
Starting point is 00:25:38 I ain't got a dollar for none of them old bitches. Yo, listen, man. That's why I got an iPhone 3. I got everything and I got it all, I got three desktops full of information, all my phones. I got Nextel flip phones, I got all that because I know for a fact that it's a lot of angry women that things may not have worked out between,
Starting point is 00:26:07 not just me, anybody. And then you come up and then they're mad about this is a recent situation. You right. You're a hundred percent right. It's a bunch of females that have been back in the days. And like I said, don't even gotta be me and be like, Oh, this nigga up. He don't remember he did this. He did that to me. He did this. You gotta be, you have to keep your receipts, yo. Everything, especially if you're right.
Starting point is 00:26:29 If you're right, you have to, we just in that world. Think about this, even with the puff shit, right? Lawsuit was coming out every 90 seconds. Every 90 seconds a lawsuit was coming out to the point where they like, ain't Jay-Z his man, throw him in. You know what I'm saying? Like it started getting crazy. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:26:47 So. Yeah, this is a scary time for players. Yeah, yeah. This is a real scary time for players. That's the whole thing. I don't think it's a scary time for players. Me personally. I think it's a scary time for niggas
Starting point is 00:27:02 who don't know how to move right. Yeah. And I ain't know how to move right. And I ain't gonna say like puff puff. And I ain't jinxing nobody. I don't know his personal shit. Might be a little bit of karma or what the shit he got going on. But when you somebody in new found success,
Starting point is 00:27:18 like I talked about this yesterday when you was ahead, he has a different success now than from football. You got to, you attract a different audience. You gotta know how to move. You gotta know how to move when you're an athlete. I don't know, man. It's good that you gave a take. I think that your take was really good.
Starting point is 00:27:34 I'd say, but I had to say yesterday, I don't really have much to say today. Yeah, last thing I'll add, 2025, I said it before, I'll say it again, healing. Hope people figure it out, because there's a lot going on on and I promise y'all, this is not the start. And then also Mace real quick, cause Snats say,
Starting point is 00:27:52 Stat also said, if you play in the snow, let it go. You don't know how it's gonna go. You're not gonna know how it's gonna go. But she says she play in the snow. I didn't say that. I didn't answer. Oh, yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Yeah, everybody want to play in the the snow to is a blizzard. Oh! Tell us a blizzard is crazy. Oh! That's blizzard, Coby. Like, what I'm doing now, then? It's not fair. It's definitely a blizzard for niggas.
Starting point is 00:28:20 Oh, boy. Yeah, you got to still, I mean, you got a lot of money. You can't really date in the snow unless you're going to marry. That is because they don't play by the same rules. They didn't have the same upbringing. So their mindset is to do whatever you ask because when it goes wrong, they're going to want their half. Yeah. I'm not even going to just say it's just a snow thing. because when it goes wrong, they gonna want their half. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:45 I'm not even gonna just say it's just a snow thing. Even just to this case, like ESPN, like if you are working for Disney, there's no Disney after dark. Like you have to know your role. I'm just saying, like you gotta know what role you're in. Like certain people can do different things. You cannot do that over there, not with Mickey Mouse.
Starting point is 00:29:02 That's the problem. Not with Goofy. Not with Goofy. Well, see, that's the thing about it too, not to Mickey Mouse. That's the problem. Not with Goofy. Not with Goofy. Well see, that's the thing about it too, not to cut you guys off. The money that he's part of negotiating has nothing to do with ESPN. He's just a talent on first take three days a week.
Starting point is 00:29:18 The money that he's supposed to get is from Club Shaysay, Nightcap, he got Bubba Dubb's show, and he has another show with somebody else. He has like four or five different shows. from Club Shae Shae, Nightcap, he got a Bubba Dubb show, and he has another show with somebody else. He has like four or five different shows, and the money that he's being offered has nothing to do with ESPN. So if this money, you know, there's one thing you have to find from ESPN,
Starting point is 00:29:37 if that's the case, like I said, I'm not wishing that on anybody. But this contract that he's about to negotiate is from all his shows outside of ESPN, the internet. This has nothing to do with it. And that just goes to show how powerful that shows on the internet are. We talk about Stephen A. getting a hundred million dollars working for ESPN or something close to it. And Shannon Sharp is supposedly getting the same amount of money Stephen A. Smith is doing. And he's not even on regular millennial television.
Starting point is 00:30:05 That just goes to show where you work hard and do your shows on the internet, the check will eventually come. He got four or five different shows. That's where the money's coming from. So he should still be able to get the 100 there. Depends on it. Because it ain't ESPN.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Because every take that we're giving is based on ESPN. Now if you're saying if that don't come from ESPN, then he should still be able to get some of that. I mean, what I'm saying is this, like let's say for instance, I still think he'll get a lot of money, but the people he's negotiating probably will, probably cost him a few. Like yo, it's gonna be a hundred,
Starting point is 00:30:39 but take this 67, because we're gonna lose a couple sponsorships behind us, possibly. He's still going to get the money, in my opinion. It's just about as he's still going to be a face of ESPN and the Shannon Sharp, he's probably like, whatever, they ain't giving me that much money anyway. That's not where the bulk of his money is coming from. Yeah. And as we move away from Shannon Sharp, just the idea of what's going on, right?
Starting point is 00:31:06 We we also got to start paying attention, fellas, when they're telling you it's a civil suit. Don't feel like that's just a civil suit. If it's civil suit, but it's something criminal, it could turn criminal really fast. They're just using the civil suit to knock down a lot of your money. I'm seeing this happen with a lot of rappers, a lot of athletes and people not paying attention to that. Another way that people are just green to the streets, you know, that's just one entity trying to walk away some of your money so that when they double back and say,
Starting point is 00:31:40 well, this was the you did this over here because nine times out of 10, if one girl say something, somebody else gonna come say something, because they like people getting paid and people getting paid for nothing. And I really got some issues, or they may really have a text or really have a message. And it's like, I don't know what to do or what to tell fellas. Now, you probably want to get married. That's probably your best bet. Just from the outside looking at it. And that is that y'all. So now we got to talk about the Rockets versus the Warriors straying away from all the things.
Starting point is 00:32:17 There's more, but we're going to go to the game. So. What's more? I just feel like there's a lot going on. What's the more? That's crazy. People getting deported. Not deported. So what's more? I just feel like there's a lot going on People getting deported like a lot of people in the states. Oh, yeah, there's a lot going on Freaky week crashing. Oh, you mean the world period
Starting point is 00:32:42 Hope just died like nothing is making the shit was over Retro great. Yeah, I don't know what this is. You said it was over. I did, but. What happened to retrograde? I don't know. This is retrograde, stat. This is reverse retrograde. This is not retrograde.
Starting point is 00:32:55 God, I don't know, guys, I don't know. I don't have all the answers. Sin can tell you that. Hopefully things start going uphill, because I don't know what's going on. Okay, so the Rockets beat the Warriors 109-94. Jimmy Butler was ruled out with a pelvic contusion after a hard hit to the floor in the first quarter.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Series is now tied. Mace, if Jimmy isn't available for the next games, are the Warriors in trouble? Oh man, definitely if Jimmy is not available the next game, they're in trouble? Oh, man, if definitely if Jimmy is not available, the next game in trouble, they just lost, you know, with them present. So if you now talk about him not being there, this is going to be crazy because it seemed like that first game they lit the fire under the Rockets were getting that first win.
Starting point is 00:33:42 And now as they transition from there without Jimmy Butler, this is going to be a nightmare on the wings because they're not going to be able to keep up scoring wise with this young Rockets team. You got, you got Amen looking like he he's he's serious about the playoffs. And just with the length pause of that Rockets team, if you take Jimmy Butler out of this, it seemed like the Warriors become super small. And I know Stephen Curry could work miracles, but not every night, not every night.
Starting point is 00:34:18 He'll get a few games that he'll get, but if they don't get Jimmy Butler back in the next two games, they're out of here. But if they don't get Jimmy Butler back in the next two games, they're out of here. Yeah, I agree. Listen, man. Jimmy Butler, it just goes to testament to Jimmy Butler. It was a 25-point turnaround just about. They had 109, if I'm not mistaken, in the first game. They had 85. I'm talking about the Houston Rockets points overall Jimmy Butler was sensational on defense he takes a lot of low poor sort pause off stuff on curry and
Starting point is 00:34:51 Garten Jalen Green was absolutely nightmare for them last night. He had 38 points I don't know how much he had the first game, but it wasn't nowhere near no 38 points I don't even think he had 20 points. I'm not sure stat You could double check for people go crazy on me. But Jalen Green went crazy for 38 points and he looked like the all star that he was. And we see the difference on Golden State
Starting point is 00:35:16 without Jimmy Butler. Look, think about Golden State before they got Jimmy Butler. Nobody was even thinking about them making a playoff run. And if they did, we didn't think about them getting out of the second round. Pardon me, the first round. Jimmy Butler gets there, Draymond said they're going to win the chip. Jimmy Butler said last game they're going to win the chip.
Starting point is 00:35:33 And they looking like a potential team that can possibly, depending on who they play, get to the Western Conference finals at least. But no, no, not without Jimmy Butler. We seen it last night, the thing about it is Jimmy Butler wasn't even present last night. He played in the first, this happened in the first quarter. He only took two shots. So you played the whole game essentially
Starting point is 00:35:55 without Jimmy Butler, and this is the result. We got a 15 point loss as opposed to a 10 point win last game. This is not gonna work without Jimmy Butler. Also, Steve Kerr, this is, you have to blame a little bit on Steve Kerr. You don't give Kaminga no playing time, and Jimmy Butler's out, and now you throw him in for 25, 26 minutes
Starting point is 00:36:17 when you haven't been playing. The thing about it is you're a professional athlete, you're dressed, you're supposed to be ready when they call you to be ready. But get that player players into rotation. I don't know what attitude you got with Kaminga, what he did wrong if he's not 100% healthy, but you ain't been playing the nigga.
Starting point is 00:36:32 You ain't been playing him. Now you just throw him in there to get all these minutes. You played Gary Payton 12 minutes, he should get more minutes than that. I didn't like the rotation. I think Jimmy Butler got hurt and they got rattled and they lost. I don't think they're gonna. I think Jimmy Butler got hurt and they got rattled and they lost. I don't think they're going to go anywhere without Jimmy Butler.
Starting point is 00:36:48 Me personally, especially to beat the Rockets in this series. Now, Jalen Green had 38, but you know, with him being young and being aggressive like that pause, this could be a real nightmare for them. No, I was saying he was young and aggressive last game. Jimmy Butler was there though. Yeah, I mean with Jalen Green getting 38, it just seems like that he's just a little bit too young for them. Too many paws, fresh legs for them.
Starting point is 00:37:21 And without Jimmy Butler, it's going to be a problem because because he's probably gonna have 38 again, 32, 35. You know, it looked like he figured it out. He's ready to play. Yeah, Coach probably got in his air and was like, look, you gonna let these old niggas do this to you, nigga? Come on, nigga. You got the commercial, you got the braids, the black fingernails, nigga.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Guy, I done go kill these niggas, man. You got it. Yeah, you got it, you definitely got it. You got the black nails, the biker chain. Yeah. Oh, it's right out, nigga. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:59 Definitely got it, I like that thing. That's what that. Y'all are something else. Okay, have the Nuggets met their match? We will discuss Clippers versus Nuggets after the break. Welcome back. So want to discuss game two of the Clippers versus the Nuggets because the Clippers beat the Nuggets 105 to 102. Game three is two night. Mase from what you've seen, does it look like the Nuggets have met their match?
Starting point is 00:39:00 I'm not ready to say that just yet. You know, it seemed like it seemed like the Clippers, the Clippers are playing well, but I'm not I'm not sure yet, because even when I look at the stats, right, you got a Yoke Edge with 26. That's not the normal game he normally have. But it's still a triple double. If Jokers start having 35, they win this game. You know, I am happy that Kawhi shows up on a phenomenal level.
Starting point is 00:39:29 I'm happy that James Harden is doing this thing. And I'm also happy that Westbrook is showing up. Jamal Murray is showing up. But I think all of this just collectively revolves around Joker. If he choose to come out and get 30, they win. If he's getting 20, then they might they might lose. That's what it boils down to. It's not anything that the Clippers are doing.
Starting point is 00:39:53 If you want to say they're playing good defense, not really. Not if he got 26, 10 and 11. But if he just is his energy level where Joker wants pause's Joker get. So if he comes out and say, you know, the game is mine, the Clippers won't win another game. So to me, that's what it boils down to. I know James Harden, we talk about Houston, James Harden and all of that is fun to watch.
Starting point is 00:40:19 But when a big man becomes Paul's dominant, it totally takes over the game. I don't think joker in this country wasting his time trying not to win no games. Kawhi Leonard just look fucking amazing. Kawhi Leonard is on the floor. This is the old Kawhi. Kawhi shot 15 for 19. He missed four shots the whole game. I was watching this shit, I was rooting
Starting point is 00:40:44 because I'm a Sp this shit, I was rooting because I'm a Spurs fan, I'm always gonna be a Kawhi fan. I said, oh shit, this old vintage Kawhi, this old, this vintage vintage Kawhi. Was it missing Buster niggas ass? Yo, listen man, Kawhi, I wanna applaud you. Hopefully you stay healthy. Because this would be the biggest disappointment
Starting point is 00:41:03 in the world if he doesn't finish out this series or to finish out the players Because that's the matchup I really want to see as much as I love to see the Joker play I'm a I'm jokers right ma I ain't gonna say a lot the last three years He's probably my favorite player to watch the passing the rebound the scoring the triple doubles now the coaching I Would be sad if the joke go weren't home in the first round, but I also be lying to you if I didn't say,
Starting point is 00:41:30 I wanna see this Kawhi Leonard that we're used to against Shay Gilders Alexander. That's what I really, really wanna see. I wanna see this Kawhi Leonard with 39, 15 for 19 shooting against Shay Gilders. Because to me, I've been saying this the last couple years, Shay Gilders kind of remind me of a smaller, little more moves than Kawhi, but both have a mid-range game, accurate, Shay could shoot the three to me a little bit better. But this is a matchup I wanna see, cause this Kawhi right here looks dangerous.
Starting point is 00:42:07 Zuback, I always fuck his name. Zuback, he does really, he's doing really decent against the Joker. Nobody can stop the Joker. Like May said, it's gonna take 30, 35 points for him to win. Zuback's playing decent. We see what the fuck James Harden is doing.
Starting point is 00:42:25 Last game he fell back and let Kawhi be Kawhi. And I think Ty Lue did a great job. It was a point in that game. It was really a point in that game. Early in the game. That they had a fast break. It was, I'm talking about the Clippers, a three on two. And they passed it to Ben Simmons.
Starting point is 00:42:44 And Ben Simmons laid it up and started looking at niggas crazy. I was like, hold on now. And he wanted the ball but they never got him back the ball after he subbed out. And I was like, hold on, I would go right back to that Ben Simmons because he had a look in his eye like nigga, alright, it's been enough years. Stop playing with me. He smacked balls on the nigga and looked at the nigga, and then he wanted the ball,
Starting point is 00:43:11 but they didn't get the ball back to him. I don't know what that was about, but I would try it out again next game. I would definitely try it out again next game and see how it goes, cause it looked like he wanted smoke with the Nuggets that particular game But he didn't get the opportunity to get the smoke that he wanted we need to keep an eye on that
Starting point is 00:43:29 But this is a tremendous series man. I'm What happened? Yeah, yeah, if Norman Powell had a good game last last game as well, but it's the superstars man. It's Jamal Murray It's it's the Joker is James Harden. It's it's Kawhi Who is gonna step up? We talked about Michael Porter, Jr. He got more minutes last game But to me, this is a great city. I don't know who's gonna win. But if you ask to me who's gonna win? Like I said, I don't want to see the Joker go home, but I do want to see Kawhi Against Shane. That's the matchup that I want to to see Kawhi against Shay. That's the matchup
Starting point is 00:44:05 that I want to see because Kawhi is guarding Shay. He's a defensive specialist and he wants the problems. He looks like he wants problems. I'm really interested in that matchup. Definitely must see TV. Also remember y'all from the last episode, Cam made the call, underdog made the play. So underdog move Ka Kauai, Leonard's projection from 25 and a half to 20 and a half points. This is available now until tip off tonight for new and existing customers who have signed up with any of our promo codes. So code MACE, code STAT, code CAM, use any of the above to take advantage of the It Is Now promo.
Starting point is 00:44:39 So make sure y'all do that. Y'all, we got to talk about Mavs GM, Nico Harrison. So it was the first time he addressed the media directly since the Luca trade. Deadly got pressed out at that press conference. They were not being easy on the man. So I'm gonna read two of the important quotables and kind of get you guys' reaction to it.
Starting point is 00:44:59 So the first one, he said, I did know that Luca was important to the fan base. I didn't quite know it to what level. the roster on the floor with Kyrie clay PJ Anthony Davis and lively That's a championship caliber team and we would have been winning at a high level and that would have quieted some of the outrage So Mase, how do you feel about Nico basically saying he didn't know the level of importance Luca was to the team know the level of importance Luca was to the team. That's that doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense to say that you didn't know the magnitude pause of Luca Donter it that that's the start of team.
Starting point is 00:45:36 What do you mean that that if you trading him, you train him for another marquee player, that means he's important. You know, everything that you're looking at, if you thought getting him out of there was enough equity in his on its own to bring you to play, you thought will make you guys win on a great level, then that's also speaks to his value. There is no way that Nico could say he did not know that. There is no way that Nico could say he did not know that. Luca was an important player or to this magnitude or
Starting point is 00:46:13 or whatever he was trying to say, because everything, everything about this franchise was built on Luca for the last couple of years. This is the guy that's behind Michael Jordan or probably just past Michael Jordan and points in the playoffs. So this is a major, a major deal. When you traded him, you traded him for a marquee player that you thought was going to take this team to the next arm echelon. So everything about this says that you knew.
Starting point is 00:46:40 So this sounds like you're trying to play it down. You know, Dallas has always been fond of their fan base, especially when the players are Caucasian. Just think back. You talk about Steve Nash, whether you're talking about Dirk Nowinski, he got a statue outside and Luca was the next to have a statue outside the city of Dallas. Yes, they then are racist, they love black people,
Starting point is 00:47:07 but there's nothing like a white superstar in that arena. And to say that you didn't know that is crazy. Yeah, Nico, just shut up. Just shut up, bro. Just shut up. You did it, you can't take it back. Like just shut up, stayin' on business. Like, my nigga.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Gang listen, gang listen. It don't make no sense when you... and he's coming out with the side voice. I didn't realize that. Yo, just shut up, bro. Just shut up. It's nothing you can do. It's nothing you could do to reverse the situation. Yo, we bust a move. I think that this is going to be a great, a great move for us moving forward. I know the city's upset right now, but trust me, when we get Kyrie back
Starting point is 00:47:53 and playing with Anthony Davis and watch what we do this off season, even if you don't do nothing this off season, sell it. Watch this off season, the moves we make. You think we done? We ain't done, fuck you talking about. You got to say, that's how, you got to make people feel comfortable.
Starting point is 00:48:07 You are not making the Dallas Maverick fans feel comfortable with this. Well, I didn't realize the impact of, of what he actually meant to the city. Yo, my nigga, nobody want to hear that now, it's too late. And listen, I'm just going gonna say this a little bit. I know this wasn't all you, and I know partly you, but you know Michael Finley,
Starting point is 00:48:29 probably got a little bit to do with it. Ownership probably got something to do with it, and you're taking the fall. I know one thing for sure, when he did that press conference where there's no cameras and no audio or nothing like that, Ownership made him do that press conference. He didn't want to do that like two weeks ago. Not the one that we're talking about now.
Starting point is 00:48:48 The one a couple weeks ago. Ownership said, yo, this shit bad. Go clean this shit up, man. Fix this shit. I don't know. I don't know. You don't have no cameras and audio. Go do something.
Starting point is 00:48:57 Cause this shit is bad. You gotta make the fans feel comfortable, nigga. PT, you feel comfortable? You a Dallas fan? Nah. Nah. Nah. Shit. You know, he don't feel comfortable, nigga. PT, you feel comfortable? You a Dallas fan? Nah. Nah. Nah. Shit.
Starting point is 00:49:07 You don't feel comfortable. Listen, man. Listen, a lot of shit may not happen. You may, let me give you an example, right? You may have a team. You may be coaching a team, and not professional team, just an amateur team, AAU team, whatever.
Starting point is 00:49:24 And you tell niggas, we gonna go in there and bust them niggas ass. We going to go kill these niggas. You know, you getting blown out by 30. You know this, but you got to motivate the niggas to make them think that they going to be all right. You got a whole off season to make niggas feel comfortable. That's what you got. Don't waste it.
Starting point is 00:49:46 You got a whole off season to sell a dream. Whatever happens tonight, sell the fucking dream. Don't go out there and fuck up the season, ticket holders and niggas wanna cop tickets. Cause the bad part is this, I'm just gonna let Dallas Maverick fans know, in case y'all didn't know, the sad sad part of this whole scenario so far is,
Starting point is 00:50:04 Kyrie don't even get back till January. So when the seasons start, y'all just. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:15 Damn. He's saying there'll be New Orleans. Yeah, fair. Cause Kyrie, I'm not laughing at Kyrie's injury. That's my brother. I'm laughing at, this. It's a mess. This is a mess. So you start, you know, the season start October. So you got October, November, December, and sometime in January, you got three
Starting point is 00:50:32 months of basketball, all star break is February. Yeah. Better hope y'all niggas got a decent record to make it to the playoffs. I might, who know y'all in the West. I don't think AD gonna be able to do it. Doley. I don't know. You better just lie and make niggas feel good for us. If you sell the dream, the team might overachieve.
Starting point is 00:50:53 That's how you get overachievers. You gotta sell the dream. You gotta make people believe they can fly. You know they only got one wing, but you gotta make them believe he can fly if he flap hard enough. Now that's a great take from both of you guys. Real quick, Cam, just the thing that you said about his soft spoken voice.
Starting point is 00:51:09 That was cracking me up because I thought maybe he was from somewhere else. I saw he's from Washington because he has no grit in his voice. Kind of sounds very soft spoken, but I don't think he was putting on a front. I think that's how he sounds, right? I don't I never speak, but I'm saying, maybe he may be 100% correct, but his demeanor after the trade, maybe just because that trade comes off, just looking at his face is very,
Starting point is 00:51:34 I don't give a fuckish after the trade. When they fired Nico, he's just in the tunnel like, whatever, I already did it. Then when he's talking, it's something different. But that's fair stat, what you're saying, because I've never heard him spoke. I just seen his demeanor when this whole trade shit is going on.
Starting point is 00:51:54 He's from Washington, D.C. or Washington state? No, Washington state. I was thinking he's maybe from the south or something. I think Seattle. What you trying to say, that they ain't tough up there? Niggas tough in Seattle. No, that's also not what I'm saying, because I know that.
Starting point is 00:52:06 I'm just saying he have no grit in his voice. I was like, you sounded very pastor-like. I was like, oh, you don't sound like a GM. I can't tell you what a GM is supposed to sound like, but that's not what I was expecting. Okay, so a second part, because like I said, the reporters were not being nice. They asked him directly why he shouldn't be fired.
Starting point is 00:52:25 He said, well, one, I think I've done a really good job here and I don't think I can be judged by the injuries this year. You have to judge the totality from the beginning to end. I think I have a really good working relationship with Patrick, I think and Rick, the leadership we have is really elite and you'll see next year when our teams comes back, we're going to be competing for a championship.
Starting point is 00:52:44 So Mase, if you were a GM, how would you have responded to that question? And do you feel like he sold the dream in Kam's work? I would have definitely put more emphasis in my voice and definitely made the people believe what I was saying. I don't think I believed that when he said it. And what else was your question? Yeah, did he sell the dream? No, he didn't sell the dream. He didn't sell the dream because when you sell the dream, people back you.
Starting point is 00:53:12 That's how you know when you're selling it because people will back you. If you start saying it the right way, somebody is going to come behind you, pause and be like, well, give them a shot. We haven't even seen the whole team together yet. Nobody did that. When you're selling a dream, you know, when people have bought the dream because they follow it.
Starting point is 00:53:31 So we're still hearing the gripes. That means this dream wasn't sold.
