Hey, yo, real quick.
Coach Ford, I was
speaking to Coach Rich before the show, and he said
he's doing good. Now, this is a drink
that I serve,
and I take myself when I want to impress a female.
Are you having trouble these days in the bedroom area?
Because if you are, I got some pink horse power for you.
How you doing in that area?
Not to be too personal.

then I ain't got far to go
I'm gonna tell my wife
we gonna have a good day
yeah
damn
yeah sugar digger for those you know what's crazy it's a small world sugar digger been like my
little man for like since he was 14 years old and i just found out probably three years ago that
coach ford was his uh uncle they looking like now that i started thinking about it and i'm like yo
yo coach ford sugar digger used to be like yo, my uncle always talk about he used to coach you in this, that, and third.
His name was Vanderford.
I said, get the fuck out of here.
That's my coach.
So it's a small world, man.
Hey, yo, it is small, man.
And I love what you did with him and for him.
He's a man now.
I thought he would have never grown up.
But you got the man out of him. You bring boys man now. I thought he would have never grown up, but you got the man out of him.
You bring boys to men.
I like that.
Thank you, man.
Hey, yo, Coach Ford, what are you looking at?
What are you looking at?
Oh, I'm sorry.
I'm watching basketball.
That's what the fuck I do for a living.
I'm watching the girls
game against Germany.
Okay.
Oh, USA is playing.
Yeah, USA is playing the Germany girls.
Okay.
And we are by 19.
Okay.
Now, Coach Rich, what I want to say real quick,
because I know Murda got some things to say.
Coach Rich, you talked all this shit about Coach Ford
and how to work the Zoom.
And we can't see your face, man.
Yeah, you have one in the camera.
You have one in the camera, man.
Where?
Hey, yo, he got his phone from Dominican Republic, motherfucker.
That phone is.
That shit ain't a iPhone, it's a fly phone.
That shit is one and done.
Can you see me now?
Yeah, we can see you.
We see like half your face, man.
Oh, you can see him?
Can we see him?
Yeah.
Oh, we can't see him?
Yeah.
All right, Coach.
Coach, let Coach Rich talk.
Go ahead, Coach.
Look at Coach.
All right.
My gun is loaded.
I'm just being quiet and laughing, okay?
And you talking about that shit
that helped somebody.
I'm 73, but my wife's still at 42, nigga.
I don't need no help nowhere, nowhere.
Somebody came to me,
somebody came to me,
gave me a biogram,
and I said, yo, this shit work?
They said, yeah, right?
I called them up.
I said, listen, next time you come with this biogram shit, I'm going to fuck you up. I said, yo, this shit work? They said, yeah. Right? I called them up. I said, listen, next time you come with this Viagra shit,
I'm going to fuck you up.
I said, yo.
He said, what happened?
Your dick didn't get off?
I said, no, my ass, my right ass cheek got hard.
So, damn, if you're going to send me something,
this shit better work.
First of all, I would never charge you.
I said, you need to put that shit on pause, man. Don't tell give you nothing that's not going to work.
It's all natural.
There's no drugs in it.
It's straight from the root, man.
I would never do nothing to you like that.
Now, real quick, before I talk to Coach, before the show started, Murder,
I spoke to Coach Rich.
He said, I hear you up there talking about how Coach was going to pistol whip you,
how niggas had two kilos.
Why don't you just say my motherfucking name if you're going to be snitching this shit?
Yo, Maze.
Yo, Maze.
Maze.
Maze, go figure, right?
Yeah.
Pistol whip, two kilos
and then he took them to Puerto Rico
Nigga, I'm the only Puerto Rican
I said, damn, why didn't you just say my name?
And then Maze said
next to you, tell my facts
It may sit next to my facts.
So listen,
the year we went to the championship and Coach Rich
and Coach Ford
started the season,
Coach Rich finished the season.
Yeah.
We didn't ever practice.
We,
every time practice started
for 10 minutes,
we would,
we would do a turnover
and Coach Rich would say,
ball,
and we'd go to the locker room
and talk for two and a half hours
and never play.
And I want to ask you
a question real quick.
And no disrespect at all.
Is Bishop okay?
Because we heard more about Bishop
than anybody else.
Your brother Bishop.
Oh, Bishop and Boyd.
Huh?
Yeah, he passed away.
R.I.P. to Bishop, man.
Because listen,
I never,
that's what I'm saying.
I heard so much about Bishop
and feel like I know him.
I've never even met Bishop.
You were telling so much about Bishop
that we never even practiced.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, man.
So.
You know, the reality of that, the things that y'all did on the court,
even if y'all went for 10, 15 minutes, people don't understand, man.
We was on some fourth quarter shit.
You know, we was on some like, yo, if we was on some like yo if we don't score
nigga we going into overtime cause you ain't getting
shit you know and that was
your attitude and y'all bought into it
y'all played it you know I mean
think about it Cam I mean
Mace you was right next to him
I said I ain't never seen another high school
kid that had 10 steals a game
you know like that shit is crazy
you know it's like,
you know what I'm saying? We put Mase on
their best player, and then
the Duke, because every high school team always
had one guy that could handle. You know what I mean?
So we said, Mase, go get him.
And then the other dude had to
fuck with Cam, and Cam,
you know, and people didn't understand that.
And then Ford, you know how he was.
Every game that wasn't a league game, he took you to Oak Hill.
He took you to Boys High.
When we went on the train, we went on the cheese bus, you know,
to prepare y'all for the playoffs.
We were going to the playoffs like 14 and whatever and be ranked 12th
and beat the shit out of everybody.
You know, and people didn't understand.
and be ranked 12th and beat the shit out of everybody.
You know, and people didn't understand.
You know, it was because we had two real guards, you know,
and nobody had the defense that we had and the character.
You guys learned character and you're bought into it.
And this shit was fun.
It was crazy.
I talk about you all the time, man. You know, like you said, man.
One of the things I can say about mace you know
that you know mace was a on the ball guy he could definitely stop a guy from scoring
cam could do both of them because cam could handle i thought cam was a definite pro, and I won't lie. You know what I mean?
I thought you was going straight to the garden,
and you had that type of game, you know?
When you went to junior college, Cam,
that's when I thought you kind of faded off a little bit
because you got into the rap game right after that.
But I thought you was straight broke nba no question
point guard whatever thank you man yeah because you could do it all man and you wasn't no punk
you know i don't like bumps you couldn't be a punk mean. You know what's so funny about Ford?
Talking about slapping somebody.
One day we was, you know, recently, a couple of years ago,
and we arguing, he started arguing with me,
and he talking about, I slapped the shit out of you.
Now, you know Ford got surgery everywhere.
And I said, Ford, you can't slap me because your arm going to fall off,
and then I got to go pick the shit up, take you home,
and explain to your wife what happened. That you slapped me in your arm gonna fall off and then I gotta go pick the shit up, take you home and explain to your wife what happened.
That you slapped me and your crazy ass
slapped me. No, you crippled me.
Fuck everybody with your handicapped ass.
You know?
Coach Rich,
real quick, we got a nigga from St. Nick
in here supposedly.
Yo, put the camera on him.
You know this nigga? Coach, he said
he from St. Nick. He look familiar? He do look familiar. Yo, that nigga camera on him. You know this nigga, Coach? Coach, he said he from St. Nick. He look familiar?
He do look familiar.

she might have seen me.
He said if his mother was there when I was there, she might have seen me. He said if his mother was there.
Listen, man.
My mom was there.
Listen, if you fuck 200, you have to go to my mom.
Now y'all know where we get the disrespect from.

Yeah.
Well, Coach Ford, you like her?
I love her.
You guys like her?

She is the queen, but God damn, she must be with the Dominican Republic.
She has to get her shit done in the Dominican Republic because everything is loaded.
Yo, we got to go, yo.
We love y'all, coach.
Here we go.
I love y'all.
We see y'all soon.
All right.
Love you, guys.
And yo, stay black, nigga.
Yo, Coach Ford.
Love you, Coach Ford.
We gotta get Coach Ford to show.
We might not get them niggas to show. It was a pleasure.
Don't forget, we in New York, nigga.
Don't forget about us.
We here. Don't forget, we in New York, nigga. Don't forget about us. We here.
Can't forget that.
Can't not forget.
All right, coach.
They about ready to go.
Hey, Mace, I got a couple of stories I want to tell about Mace and him.
That trip around the Central Park, mace told on you damn oh yeah
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yo, it's going to be a mile and a half around.
And this nigga, Meg.
God, me and Rich Parker was cheating.
The team had to run around the reservoir.
We like, yo, we 15. We in shape. So we was cheating. And Mace wasn't cheating. The team had to run around the reservoir. We like, yo, we 15. We in shape.
So we was cheating
and Mace wasn't cheating.
So nigga told on us.
And we had to go back to school.
We had to go back to school and run for
two and a half hours. And nigga put the time
on the clock. I brought them niggas back to school
and dogged them.
I dogged them.
Mace said, Cam. Mace said, Cam.
Mace said, Cam.
And then when we said,
yo, Mace, where's Richie?
He said, oh, yeah, he with him.
Nigga, tell y'all.
Y'all heard him, motherfucker.
Be your own man.
And he said, right, George?
Right, George?
And George Williams
co-s out this shit.
Yeah.
Thank you, man.
That nigga George is kind of slow.
Yeah.
Coach Rich.
Y'all got him.
I'm glad you, I'm so happy.
Coach, was there any other stories that I'm missing
that you want to clarify that we talk about?
Oh, you're missing a whole lot.
Yeah, what else you got?
No, let me do the Mace.
Whatever Ford say,
facts.
Niggas dimed on you, Cam.
Yeah.
Cam always said,
Mace always said, I'm going to another
level.
Now I know what the fuck he means.
Maybe he's going to another level.
Cam, as a matter of fact, you need to pat his ass down now.
Thank you.
He got too much. Thank you. I got to witness this'all. He got too much.
Thank y'all.
I got witnesses. He said he got too much.
Okay.
I got one more.
I got another question
now that we hear
Coach Rich and Coach Ford.
I know Coach Rich was there.
I'm not sure if Coach Ford
was there.
The last shot at the guard. Right. The last shot at the guard.
Right.
The last shot at the guard.
Yeah.
I had 14 points.
Mace had 16 points.
Mace had two points.
I was hot.
He said I should have passed it with four seconds left after I got the rebound
on the opposite end of the court.
Should I have passed him the ball?
Under the basket.
Under the basket.
I don't know if you was under the basket man i thought you was on the far corner on the right mate cam was on the left
no i was under the basket i was under the basket i know cam cam didn't see you
you know what i think they wave you off hey mace i got a question mace you answered the question in truth the truth with four seconds left
and as many times as ford made y'all practice that teardrop with four seconds should you have
passed it or shot that fucking teardrop what would you you have done, Mace? He was at half court. I had
the teardrop. No, when he shot
the boy, he wasn't at half court, Mace.
Where was he? Right above the three-point line.
And you shot it at the elbow. Wasn't it at the elbow?
It was right around the three-point line.
Yeah, at the key.
Right in front of the three-point line.
That was the
flow to y'all do that shit. Y'all do that in your
sleeps.
It's hard to take a chance
and make that pass
when, you know,
both of y'all had that confidence.
Hey, yo,
what was the final score?
50-50?
We lost by one.
One.
Hey, what was the final score?
We lost by one.
We lost by one.
We lost by one.
At the end of the day,
yo, but Cam and Mase,
at the end of the day, that was my fault.
Because you lose by one, it's your fault.
You know, I shouldn't have put y'all in that position.
We beat them motherfuckers by 19 and 17.
And then I fucked around with some
seniors thinking, trying to be nice.
You know, that's the coaches'
loss. You know what I mean?
We should beat them by
25. Yeah, y'all was playing them old nigg Yeah, y'all was playing them old niggas.
Y'all was playing them old niggas.
You're supposed to play the hood, niggas.
I would never, never say that y'all lost that game.
Coaches, that's a coach's loss.
You know what I mean?
And I wasn't coaching that game, so I'm going to put that shit on Rich.
Because if I was coaching, we'd have won by 50.
Won by 50.
And, Jeff, I'm sorry.
My last year, you two guys, man, y'all needed me more than I needed y'all
because I seen where y'all were going.
I'm sorry about my bad habits, but, you know, I was out there.
You know, but was out there.
You know, but that's life.
And we stronger now behind that.
Look what I got.
Two diamonds in Vegas.
Get the fuck out of here.
Now we appreciate y'all. We talk about y'all at least once or two, three times a month.
We love y'all, man.
And like May says, facts.
Y'all serious?
You know, y'all, no, no, seriously.
Can I say that in all earnest?
You guys make us proud.
Every time I hear y'all, every time I hear people talking about y'all,
y'all make us so fucking proud.
It's ridiculous.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
So, you know, now I'm going to go with facts.
You guys are wonderful young men.
Nah, coach, we got to go, man.
We love y'all, man.
I'm going to call y'all.
Love y'all, man.
All right.
I love you, too.
Facts.
What?
Facts.
Facts.
Stay black again, niggas.
Okay, well, it was great to put a name to the face i think yeah i answered a lot of questions that we've all wanted they're hilarious so that was good
yeah now you see where we get the disrespect from yeah america and beyond you see mace actually
told on me that which is crazy yo it's wild that he asked me.
We have a witness.
You know, Coach ain't going to tell the nigga that while we in school.
I'm glad 30 years later, that nigga reminded niggas.
I told you that.
I don't remember, but I'm glad we got confirmation.
Yeah.
But why didn't you cheat, too?
No, I didn't cheat. See, I was the point guard.
So he was making me run faster than everybody else.
So I had to be in the front of the line.
So he was like, they better not catch you.
So by the time I got around the second time,
this dude, Wayne Fletcher, that was on our team with us,
shout out to Fletch, he said, yo, we lapped him.
I said, nah, I didn't see
them niggas.
So then when we
went around the second time,
we running around Central Park. This is
not no laps on no court. And the
nigga just said, mate, you want
to play point? You got to be the fastest
one on the team. So I get around the second
time and I'm like, wait a minute.
This nigga ain't on the team. So I get around the second time and I'm like, wait a minute. This nigga
killing on this line.
And the way
our team was set up, so you have
backstory. If one
nigga break this line,
how long we was running, Kilo, because
of that. What you mean?
Like when we got back to the school. Oh, that day
me and Rich ran for two and a
half hours. He put it on the clock on the scoreboard.
Yeah, niggas had to run.
So it was either I was going to run it two hours for them,
or, and I just sprinted around the reservoir.
Imagine running from 58th or 60th Street to 110th and back around,
and you don't see niggas.
You're like, wait a minute.
Me and Rich,
when we was doing,
we was hiding behind a tree because we was like,
we ain't running that shit.
And then when we see niggas get close,
we will run in front of them
and just go back around
and do the same shit over.
Yeah.
Yeah,
that was crazy.
Crazy, crazy, crazy.
Well, shout out to
both of them.
They're hilarious
and it was great to see
all y'all like
talking again together.
Yeah,
and then we had to
walk back to school
from the Central Park.
Yeah,
that's right.
That was our trials.
So we never had
niggas in tryouts
because niggas wouldn't make it around
Central Park for a time.
Crazy.
Okay, so now let's get into some of the topics.
Another quote has been released from Joel Embiid,
but this time he addressed J.J. Redick
and how he doesn't think his head coaching job
is the perfect situation for him.
He said, if you don't succeed,
those coaches
are usually bound to be fired within a year or two. So how do you guys feel about the way Joel
Embiid's interview quotes have been circling around? Because this is not the first quote
that he has said that's been a little controversial. And then how do you guys feel about what he said
about JJ Reddick? I really think listening to Joel Embiid is that he's really either starting a podcast
or he needs somebody to
smack fire at him.
It's one of the two. Pause.
He's talking about everybody
that's on the same team as him.
And we just say that
jokingly because I like Joel Embiid
as a player, but I'm thinking
about what he's saying about
J.J. Redick and he sees JJ
Redick.
He know he was a former, a former teammate of JJ Redick.
So he definitely understands that this is somebody who's going to get the feedback.
And I think this is the new thing that young players do.
They just, or young rappers or young entertainers, they just bring up people names so they can
have something
else to say because they keep them hot in the algorithm for a long time. So I didn't know that
at first. I got to start paying attention to that because people just be bringing up people name for
the for the likes and for the clips. And, you know, I get so passionate about it. But he I think he's
trolling because he says something about LeBron. First, he says something
about LeBron, and all these niggas on the team is, oh, and then he comes back, and he did a thing
with Rihanna, so he's on a roll here. He's on a roll. He's definitely trying to get an algorithm.
I wouldn't be surprised if he got a podcast coming or watch and see. Watch and see. Something's
going to come out.
He got a show or something
because he's starting his talk
from somewhere.
You don't just wake up
and just want to talk about niggas.
I don't think you do that.
I like the...
And I've been...
I don't like what Joel Embiid said
about Team USA and LeBron
and so on and so forth.
But what I will say is this.
I've seen something today, pardon me, yesterday, last night,
with Joel Embiid saying if the league didn't have double teams,
he would average 50 points.
And I'm like, what's wrong with him?
So when I clicked on the link to actually look at what he was saying,
he was asked a question.
It wasn't like he just blurted that out.
So somebody said, yo, if the league didn't have double teams,
how much would you average?
And he's like, 50.
He's like, one-on-one, there's really nobody that can stop me.
So when these quotes are coming up,
I have to do a little more homework to make sure
that he's not being asked these questions and people are just taking his clit for soundbite
because that's not fair yeah a lot of times niggas are just taking the clits for soundbites and
putting the thumbnail up and you like oh this nigga's bugging and then you don't do the homework
behind it um so i want to say that first and
foremost if you're asking him a question and he gives a response that's his answer so this
particular um question yeah what what the statement was so basically i'll read the whole quote so
basically they asked him how he felt about you know know, JJ Redick taking the Lakers head coaching job.
He responded.
If I was him,
I don't know if that's a perfect situation.
Maybe he thinks that's a perfect situation,
but if you're coming in,
especially with a job like the Lakers,
it's kind of a make or break situation because if you succeed,
great,
you're going to be coaching for years.
But if you don't succeed,
those coaches are usually bound to be fired within a year or two.
I love him.
I'm happy for him,
but that's a tough job.
That's exactly what I'm talking about.
He was asked a question.
So when he's asked a question and he gives opinion on his question,
it seems like, oh, this nigga's bugging.
But that's actually kind of a good answer.
If you ask the question, you know what I'm saying?
If he's just blurting that out out of nowhere, you like, yo, nigga,
you out of pocket.
Fuck is wrong with you.
But if he's doing an interview and somebody asks him that to me that sounds like a correct answer yeah he's very
the question i just think it's not fair that people don't get the whole question and you just
take these sound bites and then just call to say a nigga's bugging, which I did. You know what I'm saying? Even though I'm not changing my stance on about Team USA,
even if you ask that question,
you don't give that answer before going into the Olympics
with your teammates.
You better off saying, I plead the fifth, no comment.
We'll talk about it another day.
You don't do that.
But if you're asking about J.J. Redick
and how he feels on taking that Lakers head coach job, I don't do that. But if you're asking about J.J. Redick and how he feels on taking that
Lakers head coach job, I don't
think that's a bad answer at all. I think
that's a legitimate answer. I just think it's
not fair that they're not saying that he was
asked that question. Yeah, when
it comes to this, I agree with
you. I just think when it comes
to like
celebrities, see we're on a
sports show so we have to answer those questions. When it comes to celebrity like celebrities. See, we're on a sports show, so we have to answer those questions.
When it comes to celebrity, people got to take media training because the people asking you the
questions are basically normally asking people that they know they can get the soundbite from.
So if you know you're being set up for this sound bite, you you got to watch out for this, especially if you're highly opinionated.
And because it's just not wise to keep keep saying things about people if you don't have to.
If it's not your job, like it's our job to give an opinion.
It's not your job necessarily to keep giving those opinions about those people.
not your job necessarily to keep giving those opinions about those people and Brandon matters. So, you know, you probably want to think about that, but he did say some really important things
on another note. He said, do you, he made the question of, do you think he'll be like
supposed to in the first year? Best case scenario, would he be like Steve Kerr first year? Best case scenario.
And the answer is no.
No, he will not be Steve Kerr.
I'm going to go ahead and answer that for you.
He would not be the championship coach next year.
Do y'all think so?
No.
I think media training is out the window.
Yeah. My personal opinion, because we have the internet and you don't really need media training when
you see somebody like,
and there's no disrespect.
That's my homie,
my homegirl,
Cardi B with no filter,
take it to the moon,
to the moon top.
You think maybe now because she's a little more cautious,
somebody may say,
say this and say don't,
but that ain't what got her where she's at.
What got her where she's at is being unadulterated, unfiltered.
Yeah, you're right.
And I'm not disagreeing with you, Mason.
No, that's right.
Two things could be right.
That's really right.
Joel Embiid isn't Cardi B.
I'm just saying that some people,
you know what I'm saying?
I'm just saying some people,
it works for some people, it doesn't.
Because even with Joel Embiid,
what backlash can he can't face.
But if LeBron go off on him when the season starts or J.J. Redick outcoaches him,
it ain't really no consequences behind what he says.
And to me, he really thinks he's probably the best player in the NBA
when he's healthy.
But what I will say to Joel Embiid is this.
Even when healthy, you're never healthy.
But even when so, y'all don't want anything to be talking about anybody like that,
especially LeBron, Steph Curry, or Kevin Durant.
You have not won anything.
And then you're talking about players being older.
You the old man.
You the young old nigga.
You always hurt. You the youngest old nigga i ever
seen in my life my nigga hunchback one leg limping you talk about these niggas oh and you are the
youngest you are the oldest 30 year old i've ever seen in my life you're still good when you when
you're good but when are we going to get his whole season out of you? See, this is what I'm talking about. That's why
he shouldn't have said it, because he got you on
his head.
Yeah, I just want to bring that to
a point, because even when it comes to us,
a lot of times niggas take our clips
and they be like, yo, niggas said this
and said that, but they don't be taking a part
with led to us
saying that, you know what I'm saying? So I just
want to be clear, because it's just the way it is.
You can't really do nothing about it.
Yeah.
Which I agree with both of you,
but also to Mace's point,
it does feel like a setup
when he's answering these questions
because I'm sure, you know,
these reporters can go through
and ask each, you know, player their opinions
and they probably answer in a way
that's not a good enough soundbite.
But for some reason,
Embiid is always going to have a soundbite that sounds controversial especially because of the way that
we've been seeing him play so if i were him if i was asked about jj reddick i just would have been
like you know we'll see what he does this year that type of thing and keep it pushing rather
than sitting you get this drawn out answer that you know people are going to take and construe in
a way that they want to interpret it yeah Yeah, and when people don't like you, they even ask people questions about you
in a way that'll make them also say something negative.
So I'm very, I'm definitely a witness of that.
Yeah.
And then last thing about JJ Redick
before we go to break.
So previously, the Mavs assistant coach,
Jared Dudley said he had his aspirations to be head coach.
He said, I want to head coach.
That's my dream. Some of us aren't JJ Redick and get to be head coach. He said, I want to head coach. That's my dream.
Some of us aren't JJ Redick and get to go right away. So just in general, because we've just been hearing quotes from different coaches, assistant coaches and players. Do you guys feel like JJ
Redick doesn't have as much respect entering his head coaching position Or do you guys think he'll be fine once the season starts?
That's interesting.
I mean, he did coach fourth grade basketball.
So no, y'all laughing.
I'm not laughing.
See, JJ, I'm all for you succeeding.
You know, I'm going to even take back my last quote. I think he could do phenomenally well because he's a stickler for detail.
I wouldn't be surprised if he figures some things out early.
But when I hear what does Jared Dudley?
Yeah.
Dudley say that it sounds like slick hate.
You know, when I'm not JJ Redick, bro, listen, when you get your turn, listen, my success is not your failure.
A lot of people need to get that on a t-shirt.
My success is not your failure because JJ got his, his, his shot.
That doesn't mean your shot is not coming.
It doesn't mean you won't out coach him.
It doesn't mean you won't win more championships than him.
You don't have to slick hate, you know, because like Killer said earlier in the weeks prior that it's on your management.
It's on the people. It's on your agent. Don't get mad.
I was I was definitely on Bronny about this. But when he made that statement, that is absolutely the truth.
If you're your representation doesn't have you in front of those people being considered for that, that's your representation.
It's not it doesn't matter that he coached for great basketball because when I said I could coach, people laughed at me.
But I'm thinking if he coached and he only coached fourth grade, I think I went higher than that.
But, you know, I'm not going to hate on him.
He's white man it happens
Jared Dudley
you're black
he don't have the complexion
for the connection
this is not gonna happen bro
Jared Dudley
been an assistant coach
since 2021
with the Mavericks
I understand that
and he had a great
NBA career
decent role player
throughout his career.
You're not white.
Steve Nash is white.
J.J. Reddick's white.
But you've seen the,
basically we've seen
this coming with the podcast.
Then,
before that,
who'd they try to get?
Jason Kidd,
Mark Cuban,
and the new owner said
you could wrap that up,
extend his contract. Tried to get? Jason Kidd, Mark Cuban, and the new owner said, you can wrap that up, extend his contract.
Tried to get Ty Lue.
Ballman and them niggas at the Clippers said,
you can forget about that.
They said, all right, it's J.J. Redick.
Matter of fact, wait.
What about Hurley up there in Connecticut?
Fly that nigga in.
Hurley went and took the meat and raised his price in Connecticut.
J.J. like...
So I didn't do the podcast with Braun. We wasn't building. meet and raise this price in Connecticut. JJ like,
so I didn't do the podcast with Bron. We wasn't
building. We wasn't getting chemistry
together. This is LeBron James' team.
John Dudley, get cooler with LeBron James.
And John Dudley, my man, like on a personal
note, I fuck with him. He was down in Orlando
when I was down there. But
this is all about being cool
with LeBron James, Rich Paul,
and Rob Palenka.
Gotta get better friends, bro.
That's what it's about.
That's the truth.
No.
I've seen the comedians say,
one time, and this one real quick,
if somebody you know, right,
if I got a job,
and somebody I don't know has the same credentials as mace
i'm gonna give the job to the person i know even if mace credentials are a little less than a nigga
we'll figure it out nigga it's about knowing and it's about hooking the nigga up that you know
you know that's why niggas
got mad i got mad kind of like that's why i really fuck i'll fuck with wall street like that
martha stewart went to jail you know for insider trading i don't know if people out there know
what insider trading is but that's basically somebody giving you some information about stocks
before they actually hit which is illegal but if i know somebody who knows what's going on and they give me the jump,
I ain't supposed to get the jump.
I never understood it.
I ain't put my money in that shit once in a while.
Hey man,
but I just,
you got to get your relationships together.
Okay.
We're going to go to break.
When we return,
we will discuss the goat.
Paul George. Don't Go Anywhere
Got you feeling like an option
Maybe I'm my own problem, babe
She's tired of hearing
I don't know.
What's happening to me won't fall, oh, oh.
Dealing with this thing called trust.
But she really thinking about it.
She wanna be free.
Welcome back.
Now let's get into our underdog fantasy picks of the day.
Looking ahead to football,
the Jaguars will play the Dolphins on September 8th.
Underdog fantasy has Trevor Lawrence at 248 and a half passing yards.
Do you have him higher or lower mace?
Many yards.
248 and a half.
Trevor Lawrence.
Yeah.
Lower. Who they playing
the Dolphins
they just paid you
nigga you better get higher they paid you some
wild shit I ain't think you
deserve but you got it I ain't hating
a little bit but
you better be higher
okay Tua's at
261 and a half passing yards.
You have them higher or lower cam.
Hi.
Oh,
Hey.
And Tyreek Hill is at 94 and a half receiving yards.
Do you have them higher or lower mace?
Oh yeah.
Hi.
Hey,
download the underdog fantasy app and you can make your picks too.
So Paul George says playing for the Clippers instead of the Lakers felt like he was playing for
the B team. So I'll read the exact quote. He said, I think initially coming back to LA, that was home
when I first came to LA, but it's not the same love. When I was in LA, they were like, man,
you should have been a Laker. That's all I was hearing. It wasn't like, yo, welcome to the
Clippers. We're happy you're here in LA, but you should have been a Laker. I'm on the B team.
to the Clippers. We're happy you're here in LA, but you should have been a Laker. I'm on the B team. That's how the vibe and the love felt. So one, do you guys feel like the Clippers is a B
team according to what Paul George says? And then how do you guys feel about him even saying that?
Well, to start answering the question, that's not a secret. It's like, I don't know why he sounds heartbroken about this.
Listen, the Clippers has always been the B team. If they got another team, the Clippers might be
the C team. So he's, he, he made it good for it being a B team. And with them going to this team,
I can't, I can't say that this was something that surprised anybody.
He had his chance to go to the Lakers. I believe he definitely had his choice.
And if he wanted to go to the Lakers, it probably wouldn't have been something that was turned down.
But when he goes, even if the Clippers were to win a championship, they would still be the B team.
Because if they won two straight,
they would still be down at least 15 championships
or somewhere in that ballpark.
So this is not going to change, not in our lifetime.
Maybe in another lifetime, the Clippers could get there, but not even with this kind of
output. And even when they got the new fancy arena and they said, we're going to get our own
crib. Right. So say you're living with somebody, you're not going to be the A-team. You're living
with somebody like you're playing in the Lakers arena. All you're doing is changing the floors. Like I give you the key to my house.
You got a girl.
She come over.
You move all my pictures.
Okay.
After she goes home and steal my crib.
So that's what it's like with the Lakers and the Clippers.
So they had to go and get their own arena.
That's their way of coming out of the shadow.
But I don't think this has ever been a new idea.
I think the whole world knows this, and him talking about it
says that he wasn't in the know.
Like, come on, Paul George, you're the GOAT.
You definitely know that this wasn't the Lakers.
I mean, you got to know that.
If you start playing for the Chargers,
you know that that's not the Rams, right?
We're never going to mistake the Chargers for the Rams, right?
I mean, you can, but that would be to your demise.
They're from L.A.
You know this.
This isn't news.
Like Mace said, it isn't really more to add on to what Mace said.
And much as everybody is going to be mad at me
for what I'm about to say,
certain fans I'm talking about,
this is just the truth.
The Mets is the B team in New York.
The Brooklyn Nets is the B team in New York.
The New York Giants is the B team in New York. It don't matter if you win or not. You're the B team in New York. The New York Giants is the B team in New York.
It don't matter if you win or not.
You're the B team.
The Mets won two championships.
It was cool for Queens.
I see Nick out my peripheral waving his hand in there
and all this crazy shit for Queens.
It's just the way it is.
You see Yankee hats everywhere around the world with Timberlands.
There's just nothing you could do about this, Paul George.
You knew this, and you left.
And what happened is, I get it.
You, Kawhi, and everybody else who was over there at the time
said, we're going to make history.
We're going to do it.
We're going to be the first ones.
And it didn't pan out.
So now you're feeling like you was on the B team.
You grew up in LA.
You knew this, man.
Yeah, you're right.
Yeah, I didn't even mention that.
You're the person that was supposed to change this into the A team.
But you didn't.
You have five years to make a shot at changing this to the A team.
And not one year did y'all become the A team.
So, you know, it is what it is.
We got to call it like it is.
Even though we love players and we respect people is we got to call it like it is even though we love players and we
respect people we got to tell the truth that's what they pay us to do and it won't change and
then if we're gonna tell the truth speaking of all these players who do you guys feel like is the most
disrespected superstar in the NBA and who do you feel like deserves more credit?
Wow.
Me personally,
I know most people would say
Kevin Durant.
That's like the foregone conclusion
of who they should say
because Kevin Durant
has had a remarkable career.
I mean, he's done everything you could ask for a player with that kind of talent.
He goes to Golden State, does what he does at OKC, just go to Brooklyn Nets.
It's just been nowhere that he hasn't performed, even at the Suns.
But I'm going to go with his fellow counterpart.
I think the person that is highly disrespected is Devin Booker.
I believe he scores with the best of them.
He shows up every time.
There's never a time we look at it and say he's not there.
But when people talk of him, they talk of him like he's the B-team talent.
You know what i'm saying like there's this upper echelon and then there's like right you're right there and i think he does as much as
even when you think of um shea alexander making first team book did book had the same numbers
but he wasn't considered that because they didn't have the wins.
But this is a guy that every time you see him, he performs is nobody shuts him down.
He doesn't get gun shy anywhere.
And I think they got to start putting some more respect on his name.
Even Nike, you got to give them better sneakers like the sneakers you gave him.
That was disrespectful.
The sneakers were cool, but they weren't sneakers for a superstar.
And all of that plays into the respect.
For me, the most disrespected superstar is Kyrie Irving.
Yes.
Number one, not even close for me.
LeBron doesn't get that championship in Cleveland
without Kyrie Irving.
They went to four straight championships.
Let's put this into perspective.
The first year that Cleveland played Golden State,
Kyrie and Kevin Love was hurt.
The second year that they played Golden State Cleveland,
that is, they won the championship.
The third and fourth year, the third year, they got Kevin Durant.
So it was a foregone conclusion.
That could have been a great series going back and forth for four years.
But when you add Kevin Durant to that Golden State team,
everybody knew who was going to win the championship.
He gets to Brooklyn.
He tweets about a book or something that everybody doesn't like.
Like he wrote the book.
Like it's on, like he's selling a book.
He just read it and said he thought it was a good read.
He gets suspended.
Not only by the league until Adam Silver said he didn't think Kyrie was racist.
His own owner said, well, I don't care what Adam Silver said.
You're out.
You're not playing for the team.
The mayor of New York didn't want him playing because he didn't take the vaccine
and nobody who didn't get the vaccine could go to work.
So he was one of these players that couldn't work.
A year or two later, the mayor of New York says, oh, my bad. The vaccine don to work. So he was one of these players that couldn't work. A year or two later
that Mayor N.A. Ryle says, oh, my bad, the vaccine don't work. We're going to reimburse all the
people who lost their jobs during that time. What about the millions of dollars that Kyrie Irving
lost? Because he didn't say I have the vaccine. You got people like Stephen A. Smith, Shaq,
Kenny, Charles, all calling him dickhead, asshole. You know, I'm overphrasing.
Stupid, idiotic.
And then when he gets to Dallas this year,
they're like, oh, he's amazing.
Kyrie's this man for two years,
public ridicule after ridicule.
And he gets to Dallas this year and shows that he could be a number two option again.
Boston just had his number this year,
even to the point where I'm arguing, of course,
with Sin yesterday.
And Sin told me that Kyrie Irving
was scared against Boston.
I'm like, scared?
The nigga was off.
He had a bad series.
Boston got his number the last few games,
10, 11, 12, 13 games, whatever it is.
But you're going to use the word scared with Kyrie Irving?
He had a bad series.
They wouldn't have got to the championship. I think he's the most disrespected superstar.
I think he's very misunderstood because he has his opinions on life and the world and everything
else. And people say, oh, he's crazy because he thinks the earth is flat or whatever other
beliefs he believes in. Does that mean he's not a superstar on the basketball court? That has
nothing to do with him playing basketball. I believe he's not a superstar on the basketball court that has nothing to do
with him playing basketball i believe he's the most disrespected superstar to the point where
somebody might even argue with me after i say this and say is kairi still a superstar yes yes he is
those are both really good points i'm curious on what the comments have to say so let us know who
you guys think is the most disrespected superstar in the comments down below.
But before we close out,
we do have another special guest.
Today we got Shane Mosley Jr.
Welcome to the show.
What's up, man?
Thank you for having me.
I appreciate it.
How you feel?
It's incredible.
Like I used to grow up,
I grew up listening to you both.
So it's like incredible to be here.
Oh man, I appreciate it.
So you just
came off a fight with against danny jacobs yes sir and you beat danny jacobs i think danny jacobs
is a credible name yes um first i remember when you started your father had you first start boxing
you're kind of a late bloomer you didn't start boxing to how old were you uh i didn't start uh
boxing in general until i was 15. Right. Like actually like sparring
and training seriously,
I guess.
And then I turned pro
at 23.
Yeah, that's late.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Right.
How old are you now?
33.
33.
And what's your record?
I'm 22 and four.
That's not bad.
And what weight class
are you in?
I'm a middleweight.
My last fight
was a super middleweight
where I fought Danny Jacobs. I moved up
because you don't pass up opportunities like that.
You get an opportunity to fight a guy like Danny Jacobs,
the two-time middleweight champion, you go out
there and go get that. That's what's up, man.
What do you see for your boxing future?
Where do you want to go? I'm going to be
undisputed middleweight champion. Undisputed?
Yeah. I mean, I could list it off right now.
I got the hit list right now. Yeah, let me
hear it. All right, so right now I want Erzlan Dilar.
He's another legend, right?
You go out there, I just came off beating a legend.
I want to go and I want to go.
You're about to be the legend killer.
Be the legend killer.
Okay.
Why not?
You go out there and you go, if you started that, go stamp it.
All right, go show everybody who you are.
All right, after that, I want Chris Eubank Jr.
And Unify, sorry, defend the title. Okay. after that I want Chris Eubank Jr. and unify sorry
defend the title after that
I want Carlos Adamas to unify
the belts and then if Janet Beck
is still he's
got two belts he's got the
WBO and IBF belt
if he's still around if he's still
champion I want that and that's
how you undisputed right there and then
hey Canelo's
still there, Canelo.
You think you could beat Canelo, nigga?
Come on, nigga.
Come on, nigga.
I understand, but you got to be unrealistic
because nobody's going to believe you
until it's happening.
Right now, I used to suck
10 years ago. People would be like,
oh, you ain't supposed to be here
but guess what
I just be a two time middleweight champion
I wasn't supposed to do that
and yeah
I got unrealistic expectations
but I'm supposed to
did you knock him out
huh
did you knock him out
no I didn't
but I beat him
I shut him out
10 rounds
and nothing
tell me who did that
Canelo didn't do that
Triple G didn't do that
nobody else did that
so you beat Triple G too?
Huh?
No, I haven't fought Triple G.
No, he's saying that.
He basically said
he beat Danny Jacobs
better than
than they did.
So with that being said,
no, I didn't
I didn't fight Triple G.
Do you think you could beat Triple G?
Absolutely.
Tonight.
Huh?
Tonight.
Absolutely.
Or you need more time?
No, absolutely. Triple G got a fight coming up that I don't like. Let me be honest with you. tonight huh tonight absolutely or you need more more time no absolutely
Triple G got a fight
coming up that I don't like
let me be honest with you
he fighting this dude
out of New York
you know the dude
knocked a person
he be with Fat Joe
he knocked him
he had like 15
knockouts straight
yeah the Spanish dude
yeah but he don't want
to fight the Mexican monster
could you beat
the Mexican monster
um I think he's out he's out of my weight class but I mean like he just he just moved up but he don't want to fight the Mexican monster. Could you beat the Mexican monster?
I think he's out of my weight class, but I mean, like, by the time— He just moved up.
Yeah, but, I mean, look, I believe that when I get in the ring,
I'm going to beat anybody.
How many wins have you had consecutively?
Five.
Five wins.
Yeah.
But you lost four.
Yes.
Who'd you lose to?
I lost to—man, that man that was like early on uh chris
mark mark chris vackens uh david tell saint brandon adams and um
guy from you don't even know the niggas you lost to man well yeah the last one i mean
hey you ever got knocked out no it's
water under the bridge right why why am i gonna you know i mean like we're getting over who's your
trainer uh uh chris uh catalan why your father not training because uh if i want to stand out
if he's standing right next to me it's hard to stand out gotcha right i want to be my own man
i want to make my own thing and like i said when i listed
off all those names when i do that he's never done that before right so i want to do something
that he's never done and no i'm not competing with him but when it when the chips are are
stacked up and they say oh you was never as good as him i'm gonna say oh well did he do this what
promotion company are you down with now i'm with uh golden boy promotions right currently so listen let me ask you this yes sir your father just said fuck oscar delahoya but you're with
golden boy how does that work uh well my dad never wanted me to get with him and um at the time they
were the only people that were willing to take me on like literally nobody wanted me because
everybody thought i was just a guy fighting off of his dad's name you know they basically they wanted nothing to do with me nobody thought i
can get where i'm at right now um and they were the only ones that were willing to take a chance
on me probably to stab at my dad right obviously you and a beef so uh and they were in a lawsuit
at the time right so they were the only ones willing to cut me a check at the time i'm like look at the end of the day i gotta feed my family i gotta do what i gotta do right
you know i mean no disrespect and i told my dad like listen i'm not doing this to in spite of you
but i gotta i don't want to make a career out of this and what was his response uh he understood
i mean at one point he was a he was a owner in golden boy and that was what the dispute was is because they were fighting over whether or not he still should be owner and everything like
that so with that being said it's like you think he really was cool with that he just accepted it
because you was a son i think he accepted it because i was his son and he understood that
it was hard and if nobody's giving you a a chance and they're willing to give you a chance
i think he bit the bullet do you think that oscar is using you as a pawn 100 100 i'm glad you're
honest nigga yeah i like that like like yeah nigga i got your son over here 100 yeah and i think like
i said my dad bit the bullet i think you know at the time he was like, you know what? I understand that you had to take this path and you want to make your own name.
Go ahead.
Right.
So do you think that you're going to get the opportunities, all these opportunities that you're talking about?
Because do you think maybe Oscar don't really give a fuck about you?
It's more like your son is just over here with me.
Listen, I got to keep on saying it.
Maybe not.
If I keep on saying it, if I keep on speaking it out in the world,
maybe somebody will listen.
Right.
And listen, let me explain something to you.
Like, for instance, I didn't know about the Danny Jacobs fight.
And Danny Jacobs isn't a name to sneeze at,
but we need to know when these fights are happening.
100%.
And how are we going to know these fights are happening
if Oscar is not promoting you because you're-
He didn't even promote the fact that I won.
Right.
My manager had to call him and say, hey, man, we just had the biggest win of our career.
Right.
What's up?
How come you ain't even putting this out?
Right.
Oh, my bad.
Right.
And then they put it out the next day.
Is it a message that you wanted to Oscar De La Hoya?
Give me the fights.
Clearly, you got something that's like praising i i can make you a
lot of money let's do this did you grow up in the household when you was young seeing oscar and your
dad hang out they had some legendary fights between those two three fights if i'm not mistaken
which was really good did you like grow up watching oscar in the house and hanging out with
your dad or not really uh they never hung out. Okay. It was, it was a weird,
it was a weird,
like,
well,
competitors,
man,
like,
it's very,
very weird.
Like,
they're cordial,
but it's always like,
nah,
I'm better than you.
Nah,
I'm better than you.
Right?
It's like,
it's weird.
So,
I wouldn't say that they ever
hung out outside of boxing
or like a boxing environment.
Right.
Every time they would like,
at fights and stuff like that
you know it was up and then like went off to separate corners right you know i mean and i
think that uh oscar may have had some type of way i think the whole beef that came out with my dad
saying like like i won both fights and then oscar said no i won one fight you won the other one and
the truth of the matter is my dad won dad won both fights. I agree with that.
Mase,
do you got something to say?
Yeah,
I wanted to know,
as a son growing up with Sugar Shane
from another aspect,
what was it like
seeing your dad
lose fights?
What did that do for you?
I was literally talking about this
the other day, man.
When I first saw my dad
get knocked down
by Vernon Forrest,
it was like seeing
Superman fall. That Vernon Forrest shit was fucked up. Man, it was like seeing, it was down by vernon forest it was like seeing vernon forest
it was fucked up man it was like it was like seeing it was at madison square garden it was
like seeing him like like superman like falling out of the sky like it was crazy like i was crying
i remember i was like uh 10 years old i was like sobbing i couldn't believe it i didn't want to see
the rest of the time and so like with my sons i didn't want them to go to my fights at all. Like I won a fight
not too long ago.
My son was there.
He's bawling, crying.
And it's like,
it's not meant for,
you can see it afterwards.
After we know what happened,
you can see it afterwards.
I don't believe that
they should have been there.
And you know,
hindsight is 20-20.
I don't think I would have been there
if I would have known the outcome.
Yeah.
And I try to ask questions
that I think nobody else would ask.
So that's why if they seem weird,
they are.
It's all good.
What,
how do you decide
what weight class
you're going to like fight at?
Even though, you know,
I can make this weight
or I can make that weight.
What,
how does a,
for somebody who's watching this,
how do they pick their weight class?
I would say if you can consistently stay 10% from your weight, like without really, really working hard, that means that you should be at that weight.
So like if I'm 160 pounds, if I can consistently stay at 176 pounds and not really, really struggle with that that that means i can cut that pretty easily
right if i if i have good amount of muscle on my body i can cut that easily and after a few times
you start to feel okay this is not coming off as easy or something of that nature maybe i need to
move up so do you think people like they get to this they pick the weight class they know they
could win more at
instead of what you just said i mean absolutely everybody has a different strategy with that i
like to be um closer to my my weight like this whole last fight i was literally at for most of
the camp at 178 pounds which is on track to making 160 pounds so i kind of had to slow down that process as far
as not losing so much weight at the end which is good for me yeah i was asking that because i
remember one time being in a gym with somebody that was around your weight and they told the guy
if you fight at 154 you could be the world champ or you could be like a unanimous champ and what do you
think about that i mean i think it really just depends because you might cut down all that weight
and be weak you know i mean like like they were saying like uh devin haney for instance right
they say he cuts so much weight and that's why he doesn't fight at 135 anymore right so it really
just depends if you can make the weight and still be healthy and and function
at an optimal level why not who's your management uh so uh my manager one of my managers is a guy
named josh tobin he goes by chop he has the dealerships out here um and then my boxing
manager his name is mark leonardi or mike Leonardi. Your manager's a car dealer?
One of us, yeah.
What kind of cars?
Dodge.
Well, so he has a whole bunch, but Dodge is one of his main cars.
Yeah, I get you the Ferrari dealer.
That's why we don't hear about you.
Look, man, it sounds like you have your head on your shoulders.
Sound like you're going where you want to be.
Thank you.
But this just sounds messy, bro, as far as Oscar not promoting you.
No, I'm being honest with you because, look, let's be honest.
You're 33.
The shit got to go.
You know what I'm saying?
Beating Danny Jacobs is a real good start to having names under your belt.
Is there any other names that you have victories over that we should know about or we're familiar with?
All right, Gabriel Rosado.
He was in the Creed movies.
He fought everybody.
He fought Danny Jacobs.
He fought Canelo and Triple G and all those guys.
He literally is like the modern-day Rocky.
Gotcha.
Yeah.
Well, yeah, listen, I think Danny Jacobs is a good start.
Listen, Oscar,
I hope you're not using this nigga
because you mad at fucking his father
and just not promoting his fights
because it sounds like even after he wins,
this is something you should be talking about.
His management,
we got to figure out a promotion.
Me and Mace are always available
for consultation.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
So it was a pleasure. PT brought you through, man. Shout out to available for consultation. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? So it was a pleasure.
PT brought you through, man.
Shout out to PT for bringing through.
I hope this helps getting some light on your boxing career.
And we want you to get to where you're going because, listen,
33 is almost like right there.
I'm a young 33, man.
Okay.
I'm a young 33.
I got at least 10 more years.
That's what's up.
Let's go.
Listen, but Noah Hopkins has 17 more years after's what's up let's go listen but Noah Hopkins
has 17 more years
after that
exactly
you got some time
we'll figure it out man
but congratulations
on your last victory
and good luck on your career
thank you
thanks so much
it was a pleasure to have you
but that is all the time
that we have for today
thanks for watching
and as always
it is what it is.
