Mike was going on killer what's going on it's good joe how y'all doing today really good mike where you at
you at the glass house yeah no i'm at my personal uh residence my house the glass house is the the real house man
saw you I'm like it is October why are you wearing this bright-ass yellow in
October it's November we just had Halloween it's November we're so in the fall
and you got this bright yellow on man what are you doing man still a nation man
right right right and also cam because you were not here cam yeah but i saw i saw treasure she posted her
i posted my i see y'all costume i must have missed something but i went looking for i missed something
so if y'all just go ahead go ahead i was trying to i was doing the best i could to find out how i could be a receipt
all the receipts and I couldn't figure it out I was trying hard yeah I
wanted to be a human receipt because I have the receipts for everything but I
couldn't figure it out and it was last minute you told me about it last year my
outfit was good though I was a patient I was sick of the hose
oh that good dog but listen that receipt shit is bad you remember y'all
remember them gum that gumbo dude like
it was like a gumbo, right?
Like the gumbo dude.
You can get that dude and paint in some numbers
and really walk around, like I'm a walk in receipt.
I'm thinking about that, boy.
I was trying to get that made.
Yeah, I was trying to work on it for next year.
I was trying to get it this year.
But after you told me about it, it was just too late.
It was last minute.
I see your outfit, Mike.
You could use creative this year.
Hey, I, well, frankly, I was young.
I was green, you know, just see it.
I see it.
Anytime they see a big black Negro like me,
painted green, that's funny.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
That's funny.
But I had the little things, man.
I got into that, though.
I had fun with it, going out.
I wanted to see if people were noticed,
even all painted like that.
And yeah.
We know, we notice from here.
You know, another thing, Mike, real quick,
because I know you've been trying to enjoy your weekends
and shit, you had a long weekend.
I wasn't here.
What's the name?
What we didn't do miss our convo about Dallas, man.
What's, yeah, yeah, man.
Miami lost.
We can't do nothing about yesterday.
Miami lost.
He can't do nothing by yesterday.
Colorado law.
Now we can't do nothing.
I said the same thing.
I told you, y'all jinks me, man.
I brought that junk up.
And I can't have a great weekend with everybody winning.
And then what happened?
Everybody lost.
I said, is this not some shit?
shit I shouldn't just say it anything you know I spoke that man yeah that was a hard weekend man
that was tough it was very it was very bad it wasn't so it was bad bad man yeah yeah because it
looks like honestly in one week we i got knocked out of all playoffs if you look at it right now
they got my mid 18th and they just dropped you know to see college football poll and then on
other side everybody's like oh my god but but also we haven't talked about is what happened
in the trade and how much that will impact what we see right now and oh my god my
okay i'm just saying man that's that's that's important news that we got to talk about it's
important news people want to know yeah we we talked about it yesterday but we can bring it up
if you want to talk about it yeah dallas got worse yeah yeah do you want to start come on man
Let them start with it.
With the good or the bad?
Because the start.
Give me the each summation.
I don't need you to give me the whole trial.
Just give me your summation of what you said.
And let me just see what you're thinking.
It's not just what a man says.
It's how he says it.
Okay.
Okay.
I'll tell you how I started off and I'll make it real quick.
Do you think that Quentin is better than as good as Micah?
And what he does, yes.
Okay.
What he does.
Okay.
Who would you rather have?
Let's just ask that.
Well, we're in a passing lead.
So the object is to get to the quarterback.
But now, if you ever have a team that can just run the football on you
and not even have to use the quarterback, that's the best way to take you out.
So if I'm going to get to the quarterback, I want Michael.
If I want to stop the run, I won't win it.
Mike, see what I'm saying?
Can you give us an answer, Mike?
Please, just give us an answer, Mike.
You can't ask me for an answer,
and I'd expect me to give you the gospel.
But what you want me to say is what you want me to say,
but that may not be the gospel.
And then I would do a disservice.
You see what I'm saying.
No, no, no, if one of the ones,
one to one i would absolutely want michael absolutely because it's an NFL passing league but
but i'm telling you this kid can bring something different because once you can stop the run
you can make these quarterbacks go into having a half the pass to beat you and and that was
something we couldn't do with michael here now with kenny clark and quinnon willis it'll be
interesting to see i i'll see the impact that it makes but i'm telling you
I think it does, and it has a possibility
to certainly help in the defense right now.
Oh, my God.
So you're seeing a now impact rather than like a future impact
because we all basically said, right now.
Okay, that's a difference in what we're saying.
Because, because I spent time with Quentin Williams and his family, right?
The night, the year they got drafted.
I just ran up on them at some restaurant in New York.
And I'm pretty sure they were,
because they asked me to take pictures
so that I'm pretty sure they were telling me,
man, my whole family is football,
a child, something like that or whatever.
They were asked me to take pictures.
So that means he not just puts himself
on the football field, he brings the love
of his whole family has for the Dallas count.
What?
Oh, my goodness.
That's what I want.
Mike, Dallas is 13 for Russian.
Y'all are not a big Russian monster team.
So you're just trying to,
They're not, you're number 13 from Russia.
I'm hoping.
Yeah, I know.
And he only set Mike up because he's the newest player on the team.
I don't know why he did that.
I mean, so basically what we said this, you know, to summarize it up.
What is Green Bay doing?
Green Bay is in a mess over there too now.
Why, you want to bring, you know, misery love company, bro.
I'll tell you, man.
Now you want to bring up Green Bay.
We may be honest with you, Mike.
We made it more about the Jets how two, like the Jets have a, you know,
When we talk about Sos Gardner and Quayr, they're totally, you know, no, I was just saying that they're both top five in their positions.
A defensive tackle, he's top five.
He's fifth talking about Quinn Williams.
And Sauter Gardner's number four as quarterback.
And we're just saying, damn, the Jets have a great defense and to let those two tight players go.
It seems like they're just blowing it up.
We didn't really make it about the Cowboys because we don't think that as good as he is, he's going to make a difference.
It's interesting.
And I thought it was interesting what the Jets were saying too.
We just hired a defensive coach that we want him to be successful and we just took
his best two players away from him.
So we're definitely building for the future.
Yeah, that was an interesting perspective.
Okay.
Well, we started with the good.
Now, unfortunately, we got to start with the hot take right now.
So Draymond Green spoke on Das, Dak Prescott on his wise, Draymond Green talking about
podcast. He said he is getting some numbers and they stink. Dax's a bum. They will never
win with Dack. Then he said, you have to understand when I say bum, I'm not saying
Dack Prescott isn't a good NFL quarterback. Of course, he's a good quarterback. But I'm saying
when the money is on the line, when it's all, when it's for all the marbles, who are you?
He's a bum. So, Mike, I feel about what Dremont had to say.
Sound familiar. Well, Dremont, well, Dremont's totally out of
And then Draymond brought up his numbers.
Well, you make $65 million a year and this and that.
Come on, man.
Stop playing, man.
So let me get this right.
Let me get this right.
So y'all going to sit here and co-sign this stuff that he's saying.
You know, okay, so all the black quarterbacks that didn't win the championships are bumps
because back has played as good as any of them and certainly make it.
more money then all of them so what what is he calling a bum you see i don't mind you want to talk
about another sport there's no issue with that you know what i mean you understand what it takes
to be an athlete come on man to do the things that that you've done over the amount of time that he
has done it you're totally out of line to call this man a damn bomb man totally out of line y'all y'all
we can laugh about it we can play about it but he's totally fucking out of line with it
and ain't no getting around you know what i mean because now if he's a bomb everything under him
is a bomb lamar jackson ain't showed up in the big moments i don't see you calling him a bomb you see what
i'm saying yeah mike you really don't like this and mike who said who said we co-signed it we just
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm just saying, I'm saying, we, well, you know, okay, all the white boys that make all that money, they, they did what that did. Are they bums? You see, this is the mentality that they have placed on us. That's why when you, when you, when he says, Mike, Mike, Mike, let me, let me say, no, no, let's just the tantamount, Mike, what about the tantamount? When he says it, when he says it, when he says, when he says, oh, after they gave that.
all that money oh oh they gave it that that didn't earn he is they gave it to that but other other
you well you know they got a contract it's like like we say one way like he earned it
in another way like the brothers they they gave it to him so now he has to show us something you
know what i mean man come on man stop playing man mike they use the same
give you any more than you didn't earn mike they used the same they use the same language when
they came to Lawrence. We said the same thing. They gave him the money. But Mike, what he's
talking about is when it really counts, the guy doesn't show up. I mean, you are playmaker.
When the game was on the line, you showed up. Why is it a bad thing if he wasn't back to show up?
That same commentary. Did you not say that about Lamar Jackson? Is he a bump? Did you say
that about Lamar Jackson? Did you just talk about when you talk about championship town and all
of that? Did you not say the same thing about Lamar Jackson?
Jackson. Are you going to pull him a bomb?
Well, Mike, Mike, when you're dealing with Lamar, when you're dealing with Lamar Jackson,
it's a different, what's the words you use, capitulation?
Think about it.
It doesn't show up with Lamar.
Thing about, he, I hear what you saying, Mike, because Draymore's, the man, the, the,
the man, the, go ahead.
Mike is father.
No, I was going to say with Draymore, I, I, I, I was going to say with Draymore, I, I, I,
what you're saying, Draymond is saying when the big moment counts that that doesn't show up.
And you're saying Lamar Jackson hasn't done neither, which is correct.
But Lamar Jackson is a two-time league MVP.
What do you have to say that?
That's been up for MVP two times.
So how can we call him a bump?
He didn't win, but he's been up for MVP.
So wait, wait, wait, no, no, no, no.
And I'm serious about this.
I'm serious about this.
Come on, man.
What are we saying here?
Now that, now that's the thread.
line between bumma not the guy got MVP and the guy came in the second in the voting okay
are we joking here are we celebrating second place though Mike in town we can't do that Mike
championships no second place in MVP's yes yes let me ask you say yeah I agree with you Mike
but this is Dallas what happened to you can't do that at Dallas he's doing this in
Baltimore Baltimore and Dallas with two different franchises let me actually
let me say something please right let me say it's gotten quiet for Draymond
because they're no longer in championship races so now he has to stoop to this kind
of shit you understand that's the reality
do your thing get back to put the foot in his mouth do something else man but
don't put don't put your foot in your mouth talking about the man
a bum that's just another brother yeah brother that's so far off reality i think i think i think he
went i think he's going to you know i can see how you think he's going too far but mike people you know
i mean he does have a right to say what he's saying he's a championship and i mean championship guy
himself and i have a right to say what i'm saying right now you ain't got more titles than he do
Mike. That's okay. I don't have more titles than he do. But when we talk about who brought
them titles, we're going to talk about the triplets. And then we're going to talk about what
them brothers was called. Splash brothers. I don't think he's in the Splash brothers. You get what
I'm saying. Now, he did his thing. He worked hard. They don't win them titles without him, Mike.
Mike, they didn't win him without him, Mike. I'm not, I'm not saying, I'm not saying they will.
I say what you say. They're not going to win him without him.
They're not going to win it without them, but what I said is true, too.
We're going to hear about Splash Brothers.
We're going to hear about the triplets.
That's all.
I'm just saying, y'all can we take it on to the next conversation.
And Mike, all he's saying is he want to hear about that in the real games.
No, no, no.
If he says that, I'm okay with it.
But he made it personal and told him to call the man a bomb,
and his numbers don't justify that kind of language coming from one brother to another.
unless you're an affected brother.
That's what I'm saying.
Why would you say that?
Yeah, Mike, you're right.
You're right.
You're right.
You're right.
Be professional.
That cannot be professional.
That's personal.
Mike, you can't name the last five people who came in second place for MVP.
You can't do it.
Okay.
Well, can you, Mike?
Can you?
You can't even name the last five teams that meant to the Super Bowl and lost.
Because it doesn't matter when you're in the second place.
It just doesn't, Mike.
I want y'all to hear what y'all saying, man.
I want y'all to hear what you're saying.
So, so, so, so, so, so, wait, wait, wait.
So you can play great all the way up to being the seconded MVP.
And that classifies you as a ball.
You can play great.
You can get all the way to a Super Bowl.
It classifies you as a ball.
No, Mike.
I'm not agreeing on what he said.
I'm just, no, I'm responding to what you said.
You said the man came.
in second place. I didn't know that. That's what you said. So I'm saying that you, if second
place is so important, tell me the last five people that came in second place in voting for
MVP. Or better yet, I gave you a better, an easier one of the last five teams that lost the
Super Bowl. And you can't do it. And I don't think you can do it. We just had the battle between,
you just had the battle between Josh. Josh Lamar, right, yeah. Josh and Lamar, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Right there,
Right there, your point is wrong, because we remember that battle.
So you say nobody can remember number two.
I ain't got to give you five.
I just gave you the two.
So right there you're wrong.
Right now, no, no, no, no.
No, no, you're not spinning us to that, Mike.
Oh, my, Mike, you're not jumping out the taxi on us.
This was earlier this year.
Mike, you got to pay for the taxi, Mike.
This is not living.
I can't believe what happened is, man.
I can't believe what happened.
All of them years, you didn't see the battle MVP between Yolkits or Luka.
And we don't remember the last five, Mike.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
All it is, I'm debunking it all.
I'm debunking it all right now.
You remember them battles.
You remember the battle between Samos and Mark McGuire.
One of them won, but you remember the battles.
So let's stop it.
What was the last five?
Five, Mike.
No, no.
That's one.
Give me four more.
Y'all got to stop.
Give me four more, Mike.
And we'll be quiet.
Let's move on, man.
Let's move on, man.
Y'all.
Three more?
Can you do three more?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Y'all, yeah.
Sammy Sosa is white now, Mike.
Yeah, Mike.
Yeah, Mike.
You're wild, Mike.
Mike went to yokech.
Now you're in a whole other sport, Mike.
Sammy's my dude.
I don't care.
My dude, man. I was with Sammy and his family a couple weeks ago.
Is he still white?
I knew you were going to try it, right?
Is he?
I don't know.
Last time I was bleached.
Oh, man.
Sammy was my brother, man.
Y'all leave him alone, man.
I mean, yeah, murder.
He still didn't get bleached out.
The fuck is wrong with Sammy doing that shit.
Dude.
You want to bleep bleach as well.
Forget that problem, man.
You all think Sam had bleached him out, man.
Mike, is his arms white, too?
Oh, shit.
Oh, man.
How are y'all get from Drey bought this man, Sam and being white?
Y'all crazy, man.
I love Sammy Sosa.
Pause, but for real, Mike.
Sam, you know you're my brother.
Yeah, Mike.
Sammy was on them Royce, man.
I'm not giving Sammy no pass.
Mike, can you name four for the record?
We heard one.
Can you name four more just for the record?
just all jokes aside because our listeners will love to hear you name another for
but listen to me if you don't mind that your statement was nobody remember who
comes in second no Mike if you can just give us the other for Mike tell it
me to give you five let the last five doesn't prove my point already disprove
your point so you can't it's over so you can't killer he can't
Mike we didn't let's move on stack because he can't do it we didn't have a point
He was just rebuttal into what you said.
Yeah, he can't do it.
You mad at Draymond and you're taking it out on everybody.
I don't know what the problem.
I was just...
Mike, we're with you, Mike.
Hey, Braddoll, man.
I love Draymond, man.
I don't know why he would do this.
It's split stuff, man.
It's flicked stuff.
Why do this, man?
Do you feel like he did this to you, Mike?
Do you feel like he did this to you?
When he's talking about death,
He did it to himself.
I think he'd get to himself.
Let me tell you what I mean.
Even the dude tried to save him.
The dude that was with him tried to save him.
He said, Jamal, come on, you know too much about football to be saying this.
Let me save you.
Then he tried to fix it with what Treasier said.
Like, I know, you know, he's not a bum.
But I'm just saying, man, the dude tried to fix him for a reason.
It was easy.
He had said, you know, he has to see it.
It was kind of, he was saying it like in a trash talking way.
you know like when you get to the championship and you're talking to people on championship level
but you may tell this other guy he's a bum he ain't going up against him i i would say that if he was
playing against him let's go stack because he's he's not ready well because this is like rage bait
for him like bringing up dack i just already knew but i have a follow-up question but we're not
going to put dac into the equation so we can actually better discuss this yes so mike it's a
two-part question one what do you classify as
a bum and then my second question is do you think any NFL quarter quarterbacks classify as that
or no and they better not be black mike a bump there are no bombs in the NFL you don't play
at that level there's no bombs they're not bombs the bombs the bombs the bombs says you didn't do
anything you didn't make it you couldn't cut it come on man not not not you second place in v
and you're highest paid.
That's not bump.
I mean, we got to be able to give a brother
credit when he's accomplished something
even if we personally don't like them.
That's just the reality.
You know what I'm saying?
Come on, man, I classify a bump
as somebody that's certainly not doing
what that's doing.
That's not even in the field of play.
Certainly being one of the best players
at his position and one of the toughest position in sports.
So the Cardinals are placing,
by Kyler Murray on injury reserve due to a lingering foot injury.
This means he's going to be out for at least four weeks.
So we've had a lot of different discussions regarding Kyler Murray.
But Mike, how do you think, how do you see things playing out for him?
I told you and I thought about this one time.
I talked about zero earlier.
Kyle Murray is that kind of player that will do some great things that make you say,
wow, woo, we, but then, you know, there are restrictions because of his hype.
because of, you know, guys in the league,
these are six, six, six, seven, six, eight guys holding their hands up
and you have to throw that ball over the middle of the field.
It makes you have to give up sometimes a very important part of the football field.
So you see him moving out, scatting out, doing a lot of things to try to make up for the lack of size.
He has to speed to do some of those things.
But look at what Jacob Brissette is doing,
because he's able to stay in the pocket and work down the road, work down the field.
Look at Marvin Harrison, Jr., who's having his best game against the Cowboys,
and that offense has been doing just a little bit better with Jacob Brissette.
So, yeah, right now they're putting him on IR because they're saying,
we feel good in the direction we're going.
And honestly, Kyla Murray spoke this earlier this year.
He said, I know they're building a new stadium.
I hope I'll be here to see that new stadium.
and right now it's trending that he will not be there to see that new stadium yeah i think the locker
room is ultimately going to plan to this decision i think when it's all said and done he just may
not be there next year um i think if this guy keep playing well even if they end up drafting a new
quarterback i think at this point they've seen the best that he's probably going to do there and
when you already have somebody else emerging that's that much taller at
as a playmaker in that uniform.
It's going to be hard to keep them around,
especially with the money they got to pay them.
If somebody else want that contract,
I could see him on his way out.
And I wish him the best.
I think he could still have a phenomenal career,
but it just seemed like the writing is on the wall.
Yeah, we talked about this after the game, actually,
with the Cowboys.
Like I said, I'm not saying he's not hurt,
but you don't want him to say that he's better.
and we see that they're going to stick with Jacoby Percette.
The locker room loves him, the coaches are loving him.
So even if he is healthy, the best thing to say is I'm not healthy
because you don't want to be Callow Murray and say that you're healthy.
And now that's, you know, the art, you know, it's not about the team.
It's about who started.
Why is he not starting?
You paid him as a franchise player.
And, you know, the coach said this when Cala Murray first got hurt that.
When he comes back, he'll be the starting quarterback.
But I just think that Jacoby's playing too good,
even though they lost some games,
those games wasn't on him.
And I know it was a big, big topic after the game
against the Cowboys, like, what are they going to do?
What are they going to do?
What's the plow?
So I think this is healthy for the Arizona Cardinals,
just to say that even if Caller Murray's 100%.
It's just, it'll be a distraction.
Has there ever been a buyout trade?
you know and kind of may go somewhere else and and really pick up but but when you see how like
like like you talked about oh yeah this what I want to talk about think about this right before
the game they were talking about we're not announcing because Kyla Murray is getting healthy
he may even play they were saying they may play them I said okay that's just coaching and
strategy they're not going to play them but now
that strategy, if it was the only strategy,
makes them look worse, makes them look like,
oh, we were about to play them against the Cowboys
because he's undefeated in Dallas.
And now we're saying he needs to go to IR.
So which one is the lie?
You see what I'm saying to what Cam was talking about.
So, yeah, it looks bad.
Yeah, they, anyway, I think it looks bad.
Yeah, he's not, he's right,
he's from right outside of Dallas.
You know he wouldn't want to play at home.
So, so.
So we got a new story.
that's kind of headlining.
So a Jucco school in California
has a father's son duo on the roster at Compton College.
A 45 year old father is a wide receiver
and his son is a defensive back.
They also have a 50 year old defensive end on the roster.
So do you guys think that there should be
an age limit in junior college or college football
or do you think that should not matter?
Mike.
Man, I saw this.
I saw this story.
And then this joke will,
he wouldn't run for mayor or
governor or something. Now, how are you going to rush some mayor of the governor and I'm
picked up. Oh, man, wait a minute. You know, you're going to go back
to school, be in the locker room with them young dudes, walk around. Come on, man.
Boy, what are you going to walk through the halls with, you know,
with your son, rooming, teammate, or roommate or whatever, classmate.
Like, yeah, that's great. There should be a limit on this.
there should be a limit.
I know just because you didn't play
when you were in college,
you can't have eligibility forever
and go and sit back in a locker room
at 40 years old.
You know, there definitely should be a limit on this.
What should be the limit, Mike?
I can't even imagine him really earning a spot
on that football team at 40 years old, you know?
Come on, man.
Yeah.
I don't know.
It's just crazy.
It's great.
But think about this.
With the NIL doing what it's doing,
everybody, that's a professional game now.
So the 40-year-old says, if you go back here and make a few blames,
maybe he can get a few days of a few dollars.
I guess that's what it is.
But I don't think it's right.
What do you think the cutoff age limits should be?
Because I think I could see a lot of people investing in it from an NIL
perspective i don't know man somewhere you know when when gray hair start coming about your
face and shit like that you know what i mean you all right you all right you all think that's
funny man it's crazy you know y'all y'all don't think there should be an age limit to this man
Man, listen, listen, bro, I didn't know Mace has something to say outside this question,
but this is the shit we tease that about with niggas in Miami, who's 29, let alone 40.
You know, 45 and 50, you're at your own risk out there.
You know, we've seen Kurt Warner get hit, and these niggas said, I quit.
You know what I'm saying?
You hit your own risk.
But I don't like when niggas be 26, 27, 28 when they're in their full-grown body
playing against 18-year-olds.
I don't like that.
Like, I, you know, and I agree with Mike,
it need to be a cutoff limit.
The shit is out of hand.
Niggas you were in COVID years.
Niggas used, like I said, when I was coming up
and I went to college, I redshirted.
You had one red shirt year,
whether you was injured the next year, not injured.
Whatever happened, you only had one year to red shirt.
Niggas used multiple red shirt years,
multiple COVID years, multiple injury.
I've never seen this shit in my life
to where you could just put years to the side
and save them.
But I would say this.
I don't know what position they play in stat.
Father's playing wide receiver and his son's defense, DB.
Well, you know, and it's a 50-year-old nigga on the team.
What's the 50-year-old nigga playing?
D and a linebacker.
I mean, I think, I think.
I hear about the 50-year-old nigga.
I ain't even read about that.
Yeah.
threw him in there.
Father's a wide receiver.
Yeah.
How old is the pop?
Well, 45.
That's what I'm saying.
Let the pops come across.
Listen, they don't, I don't know about that conference and that Drew coat,
But I tell you one thing, man, come across that field
and be Ocho Cinco and let Ray Lewis hit you, nigga,
at 45 years old, one of them niggas
who up and coming and strong,
I think you're going to run for election again, nigga.
It's a different type of healing when you 45.
You get hit like that, man.
I don't know the conference, how tough it is.
I think the people playing on the line
is more safe than a wide receiver,
but I think it should be a limit, Mike.
The shit getting out of hand.
But to Mesa's point,
but, you know, to Mesa's point,
you definitely could get NIA on money.
Bangay, you know what I'm saying?
You're motherfucking back,
shit for your back,
all type of shit that makes you so opposed to hell up.
And finding the fountain of youth and all that,
selling new waters and all that.
It's so much marketing that could come from this.
And I think, actually,
I think it's very interesting because I'm not going to say
it's a great idea,
But if you think about it, this is Compton College.
This is a great thing for Compton.
You know what I'm saying?
A lot of times they're getting bad press.
This is good press.
And then when you look at the dad, the dad looked like he probably used to be outside.
So we would rather them be on a juco than outside doing seven pages.
On the other side.
On the other side.
Yeah.
What about the young brothers who working hard and missed the cut just by that.
much because these old niggas taking their spot I was see what I'm saying I was
thinking about what you already had your shot you had your shot me wrong
then you what I mean let this man let this young brother come on and have this
shot now you're gonna take his spot right this young dude who need that time to
develop maybe he can get developing in Juco get them a big card you can go to
NFL you ain't going to no NFL come on man Mike we got
to think you never know according to stat you never know you never know my thing is Mike to what
you said and I don't know I was going I don't know if they bought they way on the team whatever
but I was thinking about that too how did they out play niggas for that spot think about it
they out play niggas and they say yeah we ought to go with the best talent or did they buy
their way on the team because if you're the coach you got to go with the best talent you're trying
to win right right right right
That's interesting.
Unless they debowed their way on the team.
That's what I just said.
They donated enough money.
That's what he's talking about.
They donated enough money and said, I should.
I donate a half million dollars.
He's going to play them.
Yeah.
But I think about the young brothers
that's trying to get that opportunity.
Let me ask you a question, Mike.
When you say you think about the young brothers
who get the opportunity, this has nothing to do with this.
What do you think about a coach like our brother
Dion who walks in the Colorado and say you might as well get in the transfer portal now because you ain't getting no run, nigger.
So I'm going to tell you now y'all should get up out of here.
What do you think about that type of brutal honesty?
Well, Dion knew what he was bringing with him.
He said I'm bringing my luggage with it.
Yeah, yeah.
So, so, and it's not that he comes in and says that he's just saying it.
He saw the record before he came in and he sees the fiend.
or what he's coming into and this is the game that is the college game now
so you're trying to give him a head start but if you think you are that joker and
you want to prove to me you that joker this shouldn't offend you come on show me
this is the meritocracy that's why when you started telling me about a 50-year-old
joker playing and playing 40 and 40 50 there's no way they can run like these young dudes
get wrong at 40 years old.
Well, you know who would disagree.
Meritocracy means you got to earn your spot.
This is not something to be given.
This, everything has to be earned.
And what you get, only what you earn is not about being fair.
It's about being just.
And that ain't just.
Well, let me tell, I have somebody that would totally disagree
with you who thinks they could probably still playing
NFL, if not today, definitely three years ago,
who's probably 50 years old now.
And what do you have to say?
them always say that.
That's exactly who I, that's exactly that's exactly the name I was going to say to you.
What do you think about Terrell Lois saying that he should still play, he could still play in the NFL.
What do you think about that?
Well, Antio can still run and he still, Jared Rice can still run.
Jerry Rice was the same way.
I do, I'm going to tell you something.
I used to think about, and there's two things.
I said, man, there's no way.
How do these jokers, first of all, running like this at 40, 45, at 50 years old?
And I'm telling you.
I thought about this, and it's because they played on natural turf.
We played on all the official turf.
Like, he can still run.
T.O. can still run.
Right.
Jerry Rice was still able to run.
But here's T.O. problem.
It wasn't that he could not run still.
He could.
But it's how he ran.
It's himself in locker rooms when he was young and great.
If he had cultivated in those locker rooms, then somebody could say, let me give you
an opportunity because I know you're great to put around my younger guys, even because
he could physically still do it, you know, but that things didn't go right in those locker
rooms.
So even when his late years, he could physically still do it, things wouldn't take the chance
to do it.
Because I believe T.O.N. Cherry Rice had an ability to play, especially when the game got more
more wide open in their latter years.
The reason I think they were, people like T.O. Jerry Rice,
even Monday or Fitzger General in Arizona.
The reason I think they were still so athletic and physically gifted in their later years,
they didn't spend a lot of earlier years in the White House.
That has something to do with it, too.
So Jared Rice, you tell me, no job, no doubt, no joke, no joke, no joke, no joy.
I promise, that has something to do with it.
It was about the recovery.
You're telling you, dogs, Cam, it's so funny you break that up, Pam.
Hey, I don't lie.
Hey, I remember when I, you know, the first, the first pro bowl I went to Jerry Rice, you know, I had beat Jerry Rice.
He stood behind me.
We were in Hawaii at the Waikiki, Hill in Hawaii, Kiki, he was in Hawaii Kiki, he said, hey, Erb.
And I, like, they ain't him.
I said, somebody doesn't they'll call your name again.
He said, hey, urge, he said, that's what he said.
He said, I appreciate chasing after you all year.
He said, I want you to know I'm training already.
I was like, what?
Come on, man.
And he really was training already for the next year.
Pro Bowl is the week after you win the Super Bowl.
We had just won the Super Bowl.
I ain't trained right now.
I'm going to train them up.
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
Come on to train him up.
He was back in a month.
football training it is but yeah my sister of taking that month off he never did so
his body didn't have to recover much because he kept maintained all year so yeah
that that carried over so I know you were playing but you got you hit a nail
on the head for real there but I wasn't all like the other stuff Mike I wasn't
I wasn't playing I wasn't playing I know he were dead-ass
That shit matters later on, man.
Yeah.
Boy, that jump matter, boy.
I know you speaking, not from which you heard,
but from which you know.
Listen, man, let me tell you something.
I knew a lot, but I would never say nothing
until I seen the Netflix special.
I said, okay, cool, we could talk about shit.
Mike won't.
Last year, you see how he said a lot of shit.
But listen, you put it on Netflix.
We got on Netflix now, man.
It's all good, bad. It's all good. It's all good. Good discussion, y'all. Okay, so Josh Giddy is reaching MJ numbers and Miles Turner was getting booed versus the Pacers. We will discuss after the break.
Four years and counting.
Got you feeling like an option.
Maybe I'm my own problem, babe.
She's tired of hearing, I don't know.
What's happening in me won't fall, oh, oh.
Dealing with this thing called trust.
But she really thinking about it wanted to be free.
Why am I in this woman?
She wanted to be free.
Hell I don't want to see her walk away
I wish somebody told me the rules
Disagreements let her win
Then it's cool and it's cool
Even when I'm right to sing about
Welcome back
Now let's get into our underdog picks of the day
So tonight the Clippers will play the Suns
Underdog has Devin Booker at 28 and a half points
Do you have them higher or lower maze?
Lower
Yeah, Devin Booker, since Bradley Bill and Kevin Durant left, it looks like the old Devin
Booker, he's actually averaging 31 points right now, so I'm going to go higher.
Okay, and Bradley Bill's at 13 and a half points.
Do you have them higher, lower Ken?
Bradley Bill.
Now, I don't know, you know, we've seen Bradley Bill at the Washington Wizards.
It didn't really work out with the sons.
And, you know, he's playing, not saying behind, but alongside Coral Leonard.
and James Harton.
Right now, he's averaging eight points.
I'm going to go lower.
Lower.
And Zubak is at 32.5 points, rebounds, and assist.
Do you have them higher, Laura Mace?
32.5 points rebound and assist.
Oh.
Higher.
I'm going to go higher as well.
Okay, make sure you all download the Underdog app,
and you can make your picks too.
So Josh Giddy is the first Bulls player
with consecutive triple doubles since Michael Jordan.
His effort helped the Bulls erase a 24-point deficit
against the Sixers to win 113 to 1-11.
So some people think that this warrants him
to start being in those MVP discussions.
So Mike, do you agree or you think people need to slowdowns?
Here we go.
This is so amazing.
This is amazing.
Now, Josh Giddy, we put to put him in the same breath as Michael George, and we're talking about him possibly getting an MVP conversation, and he gets, not Bill it, but Dax's a bum.
Yeah.
That's what I'm talking about right here.
Okay, yeah, okay.
man come on man wow this is wow this is wow this is wow i got to say it is
mike so why don't you honor second place if he would be second place why are you not honoring
why you can't see it a different way or is this reversed racism from you i'm just saying i i
want to understand what's the line abundness you see what i'm saying that's all i'm asking right
Now, I want to see the comments on Josh Giddy from Dr. Margarine.
You see, what did he call in him?
You know what I mean?
It's just, come on, man.
Let's go ahead.
We got Josh Kitty.
Hey, I'm happy this young man putting up those kinds of numbers and, you know, starting
to get in his career.
Oklahoma took him number six in the draft.
But now he's doing his thing.
but but but but but come on that that's been doing it for 10 years for 10
years that's all I'm saying I want to hear what Dray my has to say about this
oh he gonna say it just like you said this man belonged to man like doing what
joined did hey you know chill out Mike's what I said I'm just saying I'm just saying
Two games, it's just two games that I think, I think this is just a hot, a hot take.
Somebody probably came up with and said, yo, let's put this together.
He's the first player since Jordan.
It's like, come on.
Like, don't even put those names together.
Give him credit, though.
Give him credit for what are you doing.
Give him credit.
Give him credit.
You're right, Mike.
Give him credit.
Thank you for Josh.
We're happy that he's doing well in Chicago.
but I think that he's not even a player to focus on in Chicago is Matisse.
Matisse is the player that's next up in Chicago.
Watch out for him.
Power forward.
Listen, I think Josh Giddy has something to prove.
When you leave a team and the year you leave, they win a championship.
That has to piss you off.
That's like, yo.
So, niggas did it without me.
I kind of feel that way when I see Mark is smart.
soon as he leave, the Celtics win.
But, first of all, two things.
That's a good one.
It's a great point.
Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
That's a great boy.
Yeah, so what I think about is...
We all love Marcus Smart.
And we love Marks Smart.
We were fighter.
He's gritty and everything, you know.
Yeah, but that got to piss you off
the very next year.
It's like, yeah, we just had to get rid of him
and get another piece, and that's what we did
and you win.
So I think about this when I think,
think about Josh Giddy.
First of all, we're seven games in and we're talking about MVP.
That's just ridiculous.
That's first.
Secondly, we're not talking about Cooper Flag as much as we thought we'd be talking
about Cooper Flagg, and he's the next white boy.
That's American.
That's a good player.
You know what I'm saying?
We thought he was going to be Cooper Flagg, Cooper Flag, Cooper Flag, Cool, Flack,
talking more about Wendy.
But we're not going to sit here and ignore Josh Giddy numbers.
he's averaging 23 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.
He's almost averaging a triple double shooting 50% from the field,
41.9% from three.
And you got goals to the best start they have since Michael Jones was playing.
So the reason Stapp brings this topic up is because a lot of things
that's going on in Chicago, this first five, six, seven games,
hasn't happened since the 90s.
So that's the real comparison.
You know, when you read the headline, like,
yo, why you bring up with Mike?
It ain't really that.
It's just the first.
First, you haven't had a five and no start with the bulls since Michael Jordan.
You haven't had that player with back-to-back triple doubles since Michael Jordan.
You haven't had a lot of things since Michael Jordan.
So I don't think it's more Josh Giddy fault that people are comparing these things to
Jordan.
I'm just saying the last time that you've seen these things happen in Chicago was when Michael
Joy was there.
But his numbers are great.
And I'm not saying, right.
The numbers are great.
He went 37 minutes tonight, 29.12 assists of 15 boards.
The boards are what special, you know, and I'm with you on that.
I'm with you on everything you're saying about,
about watching his assent, but you know why we're talking about this.
Let's stop playing.
Let's stop playing.
You know what I mean.
And you mentioned it where you brought in the Cooper flag and all of this and everything.
But let's see if this continues.
Let's see if it continues.
I think just, I mean, since we're putting respect on his name,
Giddy is at 23, 10, and 9.
He's averaging almost a triple double.
So this won't be the last time he gets some consistent triple doubles.
I think he's going to run off a few.
Yeah.
And then just to, like, wrap all of you guys' points into one.
Yeah, that is mainly why I brought it up,
because it sounds crazy when you hear the stat lines
and you're hearing MVP conversations.
But, like, it's definitely something close to look
because we're getting, I don't want to say distracted,
but we're looking at a lot of other players
that we're used to looking at.
And I feel like this is somebody that kind of
is gonna like creep up through the grapevine.
So just wanted to put it out there, food for thought,
but we definitely may revisit this conversation.
Okay.
Okay, but let me give a wrap.
Let me give a wrap to the whole conversation.
Okay.
But the one thing was, and this is what I talked about before.
Josh Giddy is great.
I don't want to take anything away from, he's great.
But not go back to the old wound,
Dr. Preston has shown some grown.
Come on, Mike, Mike, come on, Mike.
You can't go back to Dallas.
I'm not going to let you do it.
I'm a line step for you.
I'm a line step you.
This is crazy between great and greatness.
Great said, I did something.
He has two games by the bad, and he's done that two games.
That has 10 years, great and greatness.
I'm saying he's done great, continue it.
and we'll talk about him in greatness but that has done greatness we can't call him above
that has not done great Mike Mike is not done greatness he hasn't won what do you get to be
great without winning to the NFC championship game Mike what he's talking about he's a good player
greatness come on Mike come on Mike he did a great job
A lot of people will work hard and to move,
to move themselves athletically, financially.
When you measure the man from whence he came to where he is,
it would be hard to say greatness ain't about him.
That's all I'm saying.
I mean, all around, athletically, being the draft pick he's got to,
being the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys,
making the money he's made.
I don't know how we're going to follow that.
not greatness in the amount of time he's done it we can let it go from there
mike i'm not even mad at my at least he's consistent he's very very consistent
you know what you're going to get all cowboy paraphernalia you shouldn't come out in
anything but navy blue and gray just every time we see you mike okay and then last one
before we wrap so miles turner opened up about being booed in his return to indy for the
first time since playing with the Bucks. They started booing him during his tribute video before the
game even started and even just throughout the game. So when asked about it, he responded saying
it was disheartening. It was frustrating. You give 10 years of your life, your blood, your sweat,
your tears. You take pay cuts. You survive trade rumors. You try to do everything the right way.
And then sometimes stuff shakes out, but it's cool. I'll take it on the chin. And then after he expresses
frustrations, a lot of his teammates, such as Janus came to his defense, basically sharing why they
saw his frustration, but Mike, do you feel like his frustration is valid or do you feel like it's
more valid for the fans because of his decision to leave? Because there's been a lot of back and
forth just with Miles Turner and the Pacers organization as a whole because some people feel like
he said comments about the Pacers that weren't so nice were after his exit and just a lot of things
there. So what's your opinion on that? Right. And listen, everybody's free to have their feelings
and emotions about this, and it's so funny because, you know, I had some funny feelings
with when the Marcus Lawrence.
I love the Marcus Lawrence.
You know, we've done a little local commercials together and everything, but when he left,
they said something about the Cowboys, I said, all right, okay.
You know, I felt a little way about it, you know what I'm saying?
So I understand what the fans are saying, but I understand what Miles Turner is saying also.
You know, hey, man, he gave his heart.
He gave everything, like you said,
he took pay cuts to stay and he played hard every time.
You know, so you're an emotional player.
You wanna feel that they appreciate
how hard you played every time you showed up on the court.
But people remember the things that you say
even after you leave and that stuff come back out.
That's just, hey, a big boy stuff.
You know, you can't come, like, like, you know, ultimately, can you come back home?
Because you're, wherever you're, you're only going to be there a few years, you're going to come back home.
It depends on how you handle when you left.
Y'all see even, I'm going to read up, but even around here, we're having that same thing between Jerry and Michael still.
You know what I'm saying?
And when you start that, you're arguing back and forth with the owner or with some.
somebody else but the feelings feel that and and yeah when you come back the only way
they got to express the emotions is claps and boobs and they express it I don't
know about that Mike um right now when I think about how he exited
um Indiana yes the pay cut is true yes he bawled out there pause and but I
think the thing that they're really speaking of is how he
and when he left.
Like, you got to remember, this is a team that got this close
to winning a championship, and their key player went down.
And when that key player went down, he didn't perform.
So you would want, as a competitor, you would want that series back.
You would want to come back next year and be in rare form.
But if they're not going to sign them, maybe that was the issue.
But if they had the money waiting for him and he just walked away,
then that will be a travesty just for his credibility
because as an athlete, as a person that competes,
you want to see him run it back.
You want to see him show back up
and get back in that Pacer's uniform.
So that's what the fans felt.
You know, the fans feel like you left them.
What were the things that he said?
Yeah.
What was he said?
What did he say that they're taking
as a direct hit towards them, the fan?
Yeah.
So something's got, I will say,
something's got misconstrued, but there is a headline basically saying that
Halliburton is a fake tough guy, which if you watch the full clip, he didn't just say like,
oh, Halliburton's fake.
Like it was a full clip, but that's the headline that they kind of ran with.
And then he's just been doing a lot of off-season podcasts that definitely have been
taken the wrong way so people feel as if he's dissing the organization.
I agree. I agree. I agree with what May said.
it's about you left right when you look that series won seven games and halliburton went out on the game seven
so you're sitting there saying yo you're this close away from winning the NBA finals even though
you know he was the longest tenure with the Pacers at this particular time and he was saying damn
that's what the fans are feeling my personal opinion that's what the fans feeling now you're going
to leave after we just won seven games and halliburton wasn't playing in the last game what are you
and you're going to leave, that's why I think the fans is mad.
Now, to Malice Turner point of view,
he's like, maybe I would have came back and ran it back
if Halliburton was going to be available this season.
But because of Halliburton got hurt late in June,
you know he's going to miss a chunk of the season
if he even comes back this season.
You know, the minimum would be March when his playoffs again
if he comes back then.
So he's saying, where can I go to possibly win a championship
next year
or be in the championship situation
next year
not saying the Milwaukee's
definitely going to be
in a championship situation
but you got to think about it
there's no other superstar
and that's a question too
when people be like
it's Halliburton a superstar
he's a superstar
and you know
I'm not determining
if he is or isn't
I just think Indiana
has a good team
part of me had a good team
last year
but you know
Indiana is not going to make
no noise this year
even if Miles Turner State
because you need
Halliburton
for it to happen.
And he's not going to be there.
So I think Turner looked at it like,
let me see how I work out playing with the Greek freak.
But I think that's why the fans are mad
because what May said, I agree with that 100%.
When he left, how he left in the seven-game series
for the World Championship.
And to add to that really quick,
they said that the Bucks were paying him more of an offer
that he wanted as well.
So that was his reasoning.
Right.
And Stets said, you say you've been doing a lot of podcasts, right?
Yeah, talking about the exit.
Yeah.
Right. And so you know what happens.
Like, okay, back in the day before social media,
people can write a few stories about it.
But now it's social media.
So you're out here doing the podcast.
And then you're reading the comments
because the people are talking.
So I'm sure he's been, I'm just sure he's been going
back and forth with those people.
They couldn't wait to boo him probably.
Yeah, yeah.
Right. A lot of back and forth, but good luck to him.
Well, y'all, that is all the time that we have for today.
Mike, you know, it's always like that.
It's a pleasure to have you on the show.
Yeah, it's always good being on the show.
I appreciate you guys.
And I don't mind educating you guys
on that black on black crime that y'all was to subscribe to shit.
Like that crazy, you don't mind educating us.
Mike, Mike, Mike.
You just crazy as the nigger, Draymore
say something about Dak, but then Mike is black
and he says something about Lamar.
just as bad as black on black crime.
Yeah.
You're worried up.
I ain't sitting there bad at my class.
I ain't call Lamar no bomb.
I didn't call him no bomb.
And you look more like Lamar.
Lamar look more like you than, um, Dach
