Welcome back to It Is What It Is.
I'm Treasure Wilson, aka Stat Baby, along with your host, Mace, and Cam.
Killer was good, man.
What's up, bro?
Chilling, chilling, chilling.
Want some more lyrics today or should we wait for another day?
I'm ready to.
I know you're ready.
That's why I was, I knew you were coming.
I see both your phones this out.
Yeah, go ahead.
That's why I want to say.
I see it.
I see that you ready to come.
My thing is none of these are from me, pause.
None of them.
I don't know what I was trying.
I was just relaying the messages, man.
Oh, don't know, though, man.
I hold off, man.
Oh, dog, man.
You're doing better.
That's what you said.
Yeah.
A little pass for now.
Okay, y'all, today we are joining with our analysts, Arabia.
Hey, I have some lyrics.
I was selling crack on a private chat.
I've been to hella back.
What happened to that?
Why we don't do it?
No confusion.
It's a reunion.
Hello y'all.
Why don't do that no more?
If y'all don't use it, I'm going to try to use it for sure.
You should talk about.
The old intro.
Oh.
Wow.
What's the new intro?
Well, y'all went from selling crack on a private jet, been to hell and back.
To da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da- and then this year is something different.
If y'all not using that first one, I want it from my show.
about a show. I'm just putting my bid in for it now because I should...
Where are you going to use it at, though?
My own show, all 32.
Oh, yeah.
I sell a crap.
I reject. Yeah, I appreciate that. Thank you.
Just like that.
No, it's no problem. I licensed the song to you.
I got to pay.
I'll like, you know what license means?
License you the song?
Mm-mm.
Okay, we'll talk about it.
Let's talk about it later.
labor.
She was trying to pay.
You know what that's valid?
I would do the same thing.
She wasn't trying to pay.
I was doing the same thing.
I ain't even mad at you.
No, you're part of fam.
You can use it for what you want.
That's such love.
That's what licensing means.
So, for instance, let's say
you had your own song
and Pepsi want to use it.
You could license it to them for a fee
for a certain amount of time.
I figured that's what it meant
but wasn't quite sure.
But yeah, I appreciate you.
I mean, use that for sure.
I love that when people say they don't know I ask questions.
I hate that about black people.
We'll be in a room and they'll say 100 things that we don't know.
And they'd be like, true that.
True, you know.
That's the fact that word up.
You ain't lying.
You don't know what the fuck the niggas be saying.
Niggas just be running with it.
Word up.
Word of everything I love.
You write about that.
I ask questions.
I stop a nigger mid-s.
What does that mean?
I have no problem with that, man.
I remember one time, shout out the most successful people do that.
You got to.
You got to do that.
I learned that when I got out my first deal and I got in a, starting to renegotiate my next deal.
Because they used to talk to you in points and you didn't want to act like you didn't understand
it.
It's 18, 20 years old.
You didn't know, on this project, you're going to get 11 points.
So I said, bet, that's crazy, right?
New artists, whatever, 11 points is a year.
whatever, 11 points is good.
You don't really understand it.
So when I got my new deal, they start that shit.
I said, y'all, cut that point shit out.
How much money per album am I making?
I can't take points to the bank.
Try to confuse you with the shit, with the language.
Got to ask questions.
Yeah, you got to ask questions.
Don't be embarrassed.
I hate people that don't ask it,
and then they in the room and don't know
what the fuck they listen to when they walk out of it.
Okay, y'all.
Well, let's get into these NFL previews.
So we're going to preview the games, get y'all's predictions.
And why would we not start with the commanders versus the cowboys?
I think that's a fun one.
Arabia, what are your thoughts there?
Who do you think wins this game?
Okay, so I'm taking the commanders on this game.
And it's not because I'm a fan.
Just based on what I saw versus the Giants, I wasn't impressed by their defense.
I kind of mentioned it slightly in last week's episode, but they kept running this weird cover for and not adjusting.
One of the best things that you can do as a coordinator, as a coach, is adjusting the game.
It's a skill.
They have a new defensive coordinator who came over.
He used to be a DB coach for the Eagles.
And I just wasn't impressed by his scheme.
I'm not saying it's a talent issue because sometimes the talent and the scheme have to marry well together.
But I'm not impressed by their defense.
I think our offense still does have some kinks to work out for sure.
But I like our offense over their defense.
And then as far as us defensively, I really like our defense as well.
I think we held Philly.
We weren't really in it with Philly.
I think Philly is a much better team than the Cowboys.
So if we were two points away, one play away from beating Philly,
I think it stands to reason that a team that isn't nearly as good as them will have a better time with them.
It's in Dallas, but I think we end up going one-on-one in our first two role games and send the Cowboys home O&2.
I was going to agree with you into the end part.
I think, you know, the Cowboys have been playing.
It's only their second, going to be their second week.
I think they turn it around here.
I think this is a goodie.
I'm not sure who wins this.
I know you guys played Philly really close, but when they're going to be.
comes to the next week, you know, sometimes the team that won, you know, take a slack,
take a step back, thinking that they should have won that game and maybe they step up or maybe
they don't. But if I had to go with a team, I'm definitely going with the commanders on this
one because I just can't go with the Cowboys until some miracle happened with the Cowboys.
They just haven't been good in the last, who know how many years.
I don't expect today to be any different.
Who cares?
Why am I making predictions according to Arabia?
Nobody can tell the future, you know.
We don't know.
This is what she told us last episode.
Why are we predicting in week one, what should be happening?
I don't know why I should make a prediction.
This is a game I might not watch.
They're both smoking mirrors.
I'm going to watch it purely for the entertainment factor that people think that they're good.
Arabia.
You're staying down in Texas now, right?
Yeah, I moved to Dallas.
So you're going to the game.
I'm actually flying back to Maryland the day of the game, so I'm not going to be around.
I'm going to be able to make it.
I don't care about this game.
I like it because it's smoking marriage.
You know, Washington fans like, yeah, with Jaydon Daniels.
And they had a good year.
Got hurt last year.
He had the average game last week.
Dak Prescott every year looks like he's going to be one of them niggas.
When you look at Dak Prescott numbers year after year,
he's top three, top four in every category when it comes to quarterback.
Outside the years, he gets hurt.
Oh, Dallas is going to do it to shit.
Dallas going to do it this year.
Whatever, man.
I don't know.
I don't know who's going to be honest with you.
However wins, it doesn't matter.
I don't think they're going to win the division.
So I'm going with Arabia on this one.
Not who's going to win.
Why should I predict?
Whatever happens, happens.
I don't really care.
That was a you on.
Killer, I thought you had on the, I thought you in Arabia was wearing the commander red.
What?
Oh, today?
Yeah.
No, this ain't got nothing to do with the commander.
I told you were era of the Redskins I was messing with in the 80s and all that.
This is just more about I want to match my new tie.
So I picked the suit out to match my time.
That's what it's more about.
I thought my, I like the skies.
I was like, that's all it was about.
I'll see late on season, but I give, to be honest with you,
I'm looking forward to the Giants and Philly in this division.
My nigg and Nick, I see you, Nick.
It's, it looked good for a week.
Both of these niggas look trash first week.
Okay.
O'Reviya, how do you feel about that?
Hey, I love the don't predict take.
I think that's one of the greatest takes I've heard.
And Mace, you got on the blue.
It's kind of like Cowboys Blue a little bit.
You said, commanders, what you got this Cowboys Blue on?
Hey, this is New York, New York.
Nick, you better tell her.
New York is up right now.
You better get in tune.
This is Giants Blue right here.
Yeah, this New York Knicks blew.
Yeah.
I'm trying to get in tune, but every time I plucked the string to get in tune,
it's sing something else.
I think it's off because at one time it'd be New York, New York,
another time Chiefs we up.
I'm just trying to keep up with you.
I'm going to be honest with you.
I have to make a prediction.
I was just being facetious because Arabia.
I think Dallas can win this game because they're at home.
I'm going on with Dallas.
No, I was being facetious.
Last year, she's, last week.
You're talking about all this.
I mean, not even last week.
earlier this week.
Dallas should win this game there at home.
They had a bad start in New York.
Even though
Washington had a chance
to tie the game up last week,
they didn't.
And they missed out an opportunity.
I know Arabia said, oh, we only lost by two.
You know, she's putting out the word
only.
Take only out of it.
And take only out of it.
And take only
Only in by two out.
In Arabia, I don't think you guys want to start off this season,
O&2, with a rehabilitated quarterback.
That wouldn't be good.
No, we have a really messed up schedule, too.
We have an international game without a buy.
We play the Seahawks.
We play the Rams.
It's a really tough schedule.
But, you know, we'll see what happens.
Y'all better get this one.
You better get this one.
Seahawks in the round.
You better get this one, man.
On two to play Seahawks.
I don't like this for them.
Yeah, I mean, the Rams neither or.
Best bet for them with the Rams is that Aaron, well,
Aaron Donald's back, Miles Garrett is out.
I think Sam Donald's going to miss this week.
He'll probably be back for them.
Don't look good.
Don't look good, sis.
See, this is what football season does to people.
Just for that, I hope the commanders win this game.
We'll let you get another team since you,
since you argue with me about having another team.
Maybe you need another team at this point.
Yes.
No, no, no, no.
I don't need another team.
The one that I have is good.
I cover all 32 teams.
I don't need another favorite team.
The commanders is it for me.
I'm cool.
Yeah, the chiefs of my team.
I'm just sporting the New York Blue.
You know, we back in town.
You saw the scramble for 15.
What town are y'all in?
You say you're back in there.
What town are y'all back in?
Kansas City, man.
When did they leave Kansas?
City. No, I'm just like, you know, we back in town. It's a phrase, Cam. It's like the,
remember the Sands. The boys are back in town. It's one of my soul. I like that song.
Yeah. I get it. Y'all, y'all are funny. Next game. It's just a mess up here with him, man.
It just goes so many different ways. I can't keep up. That's why I ask
questions. I'd be lost. I'd be mad lost.
You're the only one switching teams. Arabia's been consistent. You've been consistent.
My team has always been Kansas City.
Outside of you in that Baltimore, Jersey, you've been consistent.
I've been consistent.
Monday morning, this man said he was going with the Buffalo Bills.
It's a New York thing.
And then after Monday night football, he's back with Kansas City.
This is what I'm saying.
He didn't even last a week with Buffalo.
I'm just trying to show New York support.
That's all of this.
I don't think they want it right now.
I hear you.
I love that.
Okay.
I'll let them tell her. You've been in New York for, what, two weeks?
That's not enough. I don't count. Talking crazy because you've been there for two weeks.
They don't count. It do not count. But I'll let New York fans say what they think about it.
Okay, on to this next game. We got the Bengals versus the Texans, probably a team. You probably
care more about Cam. But Arabia, what's your prediction for this game?
So last week versus the Bugs, the Bengals scored 24 points off the Bugs' mistakes.
That's something that you cannot do.
You cannot put the ball in Joe Burroughs hands.
And that's something that their defense, this new look defense is able to do.
They forced four turnovers.
And outside of that opening drive, they scored on six of their next seven drives.
So that's a really dangerous team.
If you can have your defense give Joe Burrell the ball back, it's a dangerous team.
And we already know Houston is liable to cough the rock up.
Now, if CJ Stroud can protect the ball, he will really give Houston a chance against Cincinnati.
However, if they have turned off,
And you know me, I'm all about the turnover battle.
If they lose the turnover battle, they will lose this game because you're putting the ball in a really dangerous man's hands.
So in general, I have the Bengals winning this game, but I think it will be a really good back and forth game,
especially if Houston protects the ball.
But I'm also just keeping the eye on Joe Burrow.
He was limited in practice yesterday.
He did come out and say in the press conference yesterday that he will be playing on Sunday.
So this brings up a bigger conversation about what this means for his career.
As far as being a really extremely talented quarterback that every person,
wants to see, but just isn't always available.
So hopefully we see him fully healthy for an entire season and into a postseason,
because I really want to see him in a postseason again.
We haven't seen him there in a long time.
When he was fully healthy, he went to the Super Bowl.
So I would love to see that.
I would love to see him with a great defense, with a good offensive line.
And if they capitalize on Houston's mistakes like they did against the bucks,
I think they will win this game.
Arabia, how long ago was that Super Bowl?
Please let me know.
How long was that Super Bowl?
It was years ago.
It was years ago, and I know where you're going with this.
Yeah, it could have been close to the pandemic.
I don't know how far that was.
It was right after the pandemic.
At this point, I know this is Cam's team, so I got to take my shot.
You know, when it comes to Joe Burrow, the best ability is availability.
And if he's not available, I don't know what they say.
The limited stuff, I'm going with the Texans.
I think this is the time where C.J.
Strout, Stats' fantasy boyfriend.
He comes in and he plays very well.
Statt, get excited, you know.
And we'll have a good week.
We'll have a good week on this.
So I'm going with the Texans.
I think the Texans can pull this off.
If there was a team they could beat, it's the Bengals.
It's all about the offensive line of the Cincinnati, man.
I'm sick of it, man.
You can't keep Joe Burrow protected.
Houston defense is tremendous.
I don't think that Houston is really liking the fact that they lost last week
and starting off the season O&1, and we starting off 1-0.
But that defense is tremendous, man.
And what Arabia said is correct.
To me, Houston really lost a C.J. Strout not being able to protect the ball.
But I think they're going to come out with a vengeance.
I'm talking about Houston.
I think they don't want to start off O and 2.
And I think they're going to be all over that offensive lines.
As, pause, and get to Joe Burrow.
It's up to the offensive coordinator to help Joe Burrow help himself
and get the ball out of his hands as fast as they can.
You know, when you got Jamar Chase and Higgins,
you're sitting there trying to let a play develop.
But with that defense, you have to come up with things
to get the ball out the quarterback's hands.
I think that's why Josh McDaniels was so great with Tom Brady
and why Tom Brady has such a long career.
is because they came up with schemes to get Tom Brady protected.
He didn't hold on to the ball for five, six, seven seconds.
He got the ball out in two, three seconds.
And let's not get it fucked up neither.
The Bengals, we're all talking about, oh, they want to know, they want to know.
And I know this is my team.
Well, I just have to give the facts.
You know, this is, we may be talking about the Bengals being 0 and 1
if Baker Mayfield doesn't fumble going right into the end zone last week.
So we may have a whole different scenario.
scenario.
I want the Bengals to win, but I have to go with the Texans because I think they're
going to come out with a sense of urgency.
And our offensive line cannot be trusted.
I hope that I'm wrong.
Okay.
Next one would be.
Yeah, another thing about Houston, too.
I'm sorry.
Just wanted to mention, like, Houston's defense last game gave up more points than they
have in the last few years.
So a kind of slow start compared to what they've been doing over the last two or three
years.
but that doesn't mean that they're not going to pick it up.
That might be even more incentive for them to come out just flying around.
They've really had an opportunity to keep most of those guys together.
Most of their starters on defense, they've been able to retain, which is a huge benefit.
So I wouldn't be surprised if Houston came out with a vengeance, like you said.
But until I see C.J. Stroud really protect the ball.
I got to go with the other team.
Well, history shows that the Bengals normally lose to the Texans in the last couple of years.
So.
Within the pandemic, when you're talking about?
What's history, man?
What's your history?
Well, yeah.
They're about nine and five.
The last 14 games.
Okay.
How often is that, though?
Do they play?
They don't play every year.
Hey, nine and five.
What years?
Like, how long is that nine and five?
I'm asking a question.
I don't know the answer.
Yeah, I don't know it either.
I just know that.
He's trying to worry about one last song.
We went to the championship.
how many years ago I was.
I'm trying to figure out what's the years that you're talking about.
I'm trying to keep it within the C.J. Stroud time, you know.
CJ Stroud is 9 and 5 against the Bengals.
He probably is close to about 5 and 3.
Okay.
Five and three.
Okay.
I'm about to say, I don't know.
This might be the season, though, that people are, like,
breaking their records against Houston.
Because if you remember from week one,
the bills hadn't won in Houston in four seasons.
They hadn't won, you know, at least Josh Allen,
But as an organization, the bills hadn't won against Houston in decades.
So this might be the year that a few people are breaking that Houston curse.
Not only that, though.
I feel that what you're saying, too, but people forget, Houston started off really bad last year.
He still got to playoffs, you know.
So I just think that they don't want to do that again because you're not necessarily going to say,
you know, we need to pick it up week nine.
They got a one this week.
They got a one this week.
I hate to do that to you, Mace.
but C.J. Stroud has 1 and O against the bagels
in his career since being drafted.
But you're talking about overall, I'm assuming.
Okay.
I just said 5 and 3, Statt.
You're trying to clean it off.
I said he could be 5 and 3.
Want to know and 5 and 3 is wild, bro.
It's wild, bro.
Want to know the 5 and 3 and 9 and 4?
I'm like, what year you're talking about?
If you're talking about it, what are we talking about?
Just making shit up.
No, I was going with the history.
Go ahead and step, pull up the history.
The all-time head-to-head series.
against the Bengals is they have a 9 and 5 records.
So I'm doing my research.
Cam, I'm doing my research.
I'm just trying to do my research.
You say yesterday, you say yesterday.
I'm just trying to do my research.
I like that.
Honestly, I like that.
You see what I'm saying, me?
I like that.
I'm just going in my bag.
All I'm saying is this.
Yesterday you just told stat that college people can't use chat GBT anymore.
What research are you doing your research on, man?
Thank you.
You just said that.
yesterday
that they can't use chat
GBT
but you chat
GBT in over there
I didn't
use chat
I didn't use chat
I didn't use chat
I don't use chat
Yeah, you know stat
You know what
The Orioles in the Mets
Okay
This is for show
Okay
You just say yes
Yeah
this for sure
Use chat
But it's all good
Y'all are hilarious
Okay
Yes, comments also let us know what you all think about.
Is history going to repeat itself?
I guess we'll find out, according to Mace.
So this next game, we got the Jags versus the Broncos.
So with a win over the Broncos,
the Jax would actually start 2 and 0 for the first time since 2018 on the history
repeating itself, Trey.
We'll see you.
Yeah, right?
Yeah.
Well, last season, Jacksonville beat the Broncos 34 to 20 in Week 16.
So I'm not sure if it's going to be a repeat of their last game.
but through one week, it's kind of hard to evaluate both of those teams.
It's hard to evaluate Jacksonville because they play the Browns and no offense to the Browns,
but they're not a really good team.
So the fact that they won against the Browns isn't super, super impressive.
And also for the Broncos, they played a really good Chiefs game.
I can't say that they suck as a team because the Chiefs look really, really good.
So I think this is a really good chance for us to evaluate them through week to see what they actually
have against a better opponent for the Jaguars and a less formidable opponent as far as the Broncos goes.
But, you know, I think it should be a really, really good game.
Trevor Lawrence looks really good.
This defense looks really good.
I'm going to go with Jacksonville for this game.
Yeah, me too.
I'm going to go with Jacksonville.
And, you know, I'm just sticking with the history.
You know, these are the team that they're tied, you know,
in the wins in the last couple of 10 games or whatever.
So I'm going to go with the Jacks, too.
I got to go with the home team.
You know, Jacksonville is in the house.
So stat.
I hope you'll come home for this game.
Because if we start out to and know it might be lit.
Mays, what's the last time you went home?
It might be lit, Statt.
What is the last time you went home?
It might be lit, stuff.
I see, I see, do you see the energy up here today?
We can both go.
This is why I don't like to have my stats, right?
Because when I have my stats, Nick, I know, I know too much.
Then when I don't know enough, people say I'm not studying.
I'm tired of it, you know.
They go through this when you're late.
They call it, what they call it, pretty privilege.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Or pretty punishment.
Both.
Yeah.
So I don't want to be punished for looking good.
If I say too much, that looks good, then I get punished.
Pause.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
I guess.
Camps, me, everybody, you know.
Everybody today is not having to shh, shh, shh, shh.
Ravio, my baby, being punished, false.
Are you done?
Yeah, I'm done.
Where they playing that stat?
Let me check.
Denver.
Yeah, listen, I got to go with Denver if they're playing in Denver.
I think Arabia is correct.
Jacksonville didn't play a good team.
We already know the mess has been going on,
not just on the offseason,
season after season when it comes to the Cleveland Browns.
So I think Jacksonville coming into their own,
not just Jacksonville, Trevor Lawrence,
coming into his own, looking like he's earning the money that he's signed for, looking
really good.
But it's the Browns.
I think that Sean Payton is part of the reason that they lost so bad.
When I say part of reason, not blaming him, he's not doing the play calling when he's used
to doing the play calling.
I tell you this, motherfucker, if these niggas lose again, Sean Payton will be back three
calling the plays.
I know for a fact that that meeting with him.
His offensive coordinator had to be held
because they only put up 10 points.
Now, don't get me wrong, it's the chief.
But Patrick Holmes looked good, but he didn't look great.
It looked like somebody who should be playing the way.
Because, listen, let's not get it fucked up.
Patrick Mahomes is probably the best football player right now.
And especially the way you come back off the injury, he came back.
And he onto groove.
I think he started off 2 and 10.
I ended up finishing.
I don't know the numbers I don't have it in front of me,
but I know he didn't start that well.
Finish good.
15-yard scramble for a touchdown.
He looked good, but it didn't look like the Superman that we're seeing Patrick Mahomes.
And he'll get back to that, but we don't know what week it is.
It may be next week.
It may be week six.
It may be week seven.
But when you got Andy Reed, a security blanket with Travis Kelsey and then Walker going off for 191 yards total, 173 yards rushing, it's a tremendous thing.
You give Andy Reid the credit for that for putting the plays together.
I don't think Sean Payton was happy.
We're not going to plays.
but I tell you this.
I'm going to go with Denver because they're home.
But if they do lose, O.C. sit back down.
I'll guarantee.
I don't want to say guarantee, but I will say Sean Payton will be back calling plays.
They asked him at halftime last week during the Chief's game.
How do you feel about not calling the plays?
And he said, asked me at the end of the game.
They finished with 10 points.
They lost pretty bad.
I don't think he likes it.
Not calling the plays.
Not feeling it.
Yeah, Kenneth Walker absolutely demolished Denver.
And so Jacksonville doesn't quite have the same rushing attack, at least not by one bell cow.
They might do it by committee, but they have to be able to stop a run, either by a committee or in general.
But I don't think they'll have that same problem with Jacksonville.
And also they have to do better in third down situations, which is how they were getting killed once again last week.
So if they can do better on third down and they'll have some reprieve on the ground, they'll be in a better position for sure.
Okay.
And then let's do one last game prediction.
We're going to discuss the game tonight, Lions versus Bills, Arabia.
What's your prediction?
Well, the Lions won in overtime versus the Saints last week.
It was kind of a comeback for the Saints in some regard.
So I think they have to be better in fourth quarters.
You have to play all four quarters of football.
The Ravens, or I'm sorry, the bills look really, really good.
Josh Allen is doing what he does with his legs.
You know, he can make every throw.
Defensively, I think they might have some concerns.
But in this one, I'm going to go with the bills.
I'm sticking with history.
I got to. It's been working for me. You know, I can't deny what I know every time that, you know, that Josh, Josh Allen is playing against whatever the guys name up at the Lions. It just seemed like Josh Allen is on a path to be MVP this year. Nobody's going to be able to stop him other than the Chiefs. I'm just going to go ahead and say that now. Nobody else is going to be able to stop him. So I'm going with the bills. That's why I got the blue on.
New York.
Other than Kansas City, I'm just going on a record.
Other than Kansas City, you know, I'm going to go with the bills.
In the same conference.
I know.
Okay.
Just a while.
Listen, I got to go with the bills too.
We're talking about the Lions could have possibly lost last week.
And I give the Saints, I fuck with the Saints for pulling that move.
You know, they get the touchdown and they don't want to go for the extra point.
They want to win the game.
And I said to myself, the fuck they got to lose.
It's the Saints.
Why not go for the victory?
They didn't get the two points, so they ended up losing the game.
But this is a game they could have easily kicked the extra point,
tied it up and see what happened in overtime.
Or if they did get the two-point conversion,
they possibly could have won.
Running back Gibbs is great.
You know, did what he's supposed to do.
But I do say that Buffalo looks good under their new head coach.
It looks like, you know, sometimes you need a breath,
pardon me, a breath of fresh air.
It wasn't that they wasn't doing well in the past,
but they just couldn't get over the hump.
Everybody looked happy in the locker room
when the game was over, excited, so on and so forth.
So I'm going to go with Buffalo in this game,
and we'll see.
You know, what's my nigga?
What's that coach name for the Lions?
I can't even think of my nigga name right.
And Campbell.
Deir Campbell.
My nigga Darren Campbell.
You know, let me ask you this, Arabia.
This is a question I'm asking.
Do you think he's too loose one and taking chances?
sometime, or do you like the way that he says, fuck that?
We're going forward on fourth all the time.
And it takes a lot of chances.
Because to me, sometimes that costs them in the playoffs as well.
Yeah, it's really a double-edged sword.
You got to take the good with the bad with that.
On one hand, a really aggressive type of play calling is sometimes what gets them the win.
But at the same time, sometimes it doesn't work out.
So do I like it?
Sure.
I mean, it's an identity.
It's a style.
It's aggressive.
I think he trusts his players.
I think you only do that if you have trust in your personnel.
So obviously there's some really good chemistry going on there.
The culture is very much.
I got your back.
You got mine.
So sure, I like it for them.
I should be costing.
You're right.
I totally agree.
It makes you look like, oh, he fuck with us.
And then when you fuck up, he'd be like, I can't fuck with y'all.
Like, y'all niggas got me taking chances.
And then it looks bad on him for taking a chance.
So I do agree with you.
It's a double ed sword.
And we'll see where Detroit goes this year.
They're another team that just, you know, two years ago,
or maybe even the end of the three years ago,
they're like, yo, Detroit going to be next year.
Yeah.
Next year, next year, we're not saying that anymore.
We're not saying that because they were one of them teams
that we thought were possibly could get to the Super Bowl last year.
And now we're not even talking about, or at least not in my circle,
saying, now Detroit going to go.
It was a time two years.
ago that we thought they would get there and now they're just back to above mediocre in my opinion.
We'll see what happens.
Yeah, feelings definitely change.
Yeah, Cam, I think that's a really good point.
And just to add to your point, which I think was a really great take, you said that the Lions almost lost last week in overtime.
And that's completely true against the Saints team that granted I have some faith in, but the bills also almost lost last week.
So they both are in situations where they were just a couple steps away from almost losing those games.
So we'll see how they play each other.
Okay, so I know we're talking about how we can't predict the future.
Yeah. But we just need one more prediction, but it's not a game prediction.
I know there's now the MVP race and Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are leading it with Kayla Williams starting to emerge.
Arabia, who would be your pick or does somebody else kind of come to mind that you think might actually have it this season?
Oh, if it was up to Arabia and I choose the MVP at Lamar Jackson.
And I say that with all bias. That's not my football hat. That's not my all 32 hat.
Lamar Jackson, full disclosure, is my favorite player in the NFL.
I think he's just so deserving.
I love his game.
He's exciting to watch.
He's gotten better every year.
So I personally would choose Lamar Jackson.
Now, who would the NFL choose?
The last time it was not a quarterback was 14 years ago when Adrian Peterson won it in 2012.
So I'm going to go with a quarterback.
And I'm going to go Trevor Lawrence.
Right now, he has the fourth highest completion percentage in the NFL, four touchdowns,
no interceptions.
But the most important thing is the NFL loves a big, tall, blonde white boy.
And right now, Justin Herbert ain't doing it for him.
So they're going to probably try to push Trevor Lawrence as their next white boy of the year.
Brock Purdy might also get it.
I'll either say Trevor Lawrence or Brock Purdy.
Brock Purdy would be a really interesting storyline going from Mr. Irrelevant to now MVP.
The storyline is there for Brock Purdy.
But I'm going to say Trevor Lawrence for all those reasons.
Yeah, I think it's extremely way too early to think about who would be the quarterback.
If I had to go with one, I got to stay with my picks.
So I got to stay with either Josh Allen or I got to go with the name I know.
And that's Patrick Mahomes.
I got to stay where I know.
Arabia, why?
When you find out stats doing the questions, you don't go off on her.
But it's me, you want to go off on me.
She even wrote the question the other day when I asked the question.
And then you told me you don't blame her.
You're not going to go off for her like you went off on me?
Earlier this week, it's crazy.
She said, actually not.
It's crazy, but it's crazy though.
It's crazy.
It's women empowerment.
It's crazy.
It's crazy, bro.
Then you wonder why Nick give rebuttles and shit.
This is what I'm talking about.
You went off.
It's too early.
I ain't Cleo, this down and third,
but Stax's it is cool.
You really, you know, it's wild, man.
Anyway, it's really wild.
It's really, it's wild.
That was just the other day.
It's wild.
I'm sorry.
I just wanted to get it out there
in the beginning of the show
to let everybody know.
Look, this prediction stuff
is being forced upon me.
I'm going to do it
because it's my job to do it.
But at the end of the day,
I, you know.
But you're doing it with a smile.
You didn't do it with a smile
when I asked you,
B.
So, anyway, man.
Sometimes I just be in the mood
to go back and forth.
I'm not in that mood today.
I want, I want,
I want a cop aesthetic today.
The last time I just kind of wanted a little friction.
What's your son,
nigga?
You're a Gemini.
You're all over the way.
I mean, you bring that out of people.
You're all over the pain.
I mean, you bring that out of people.
She said today,
she's just like,
she's calm.
But when you were here...
Yeah.
People didn't like me in that seat, man.
I don't get it, man.
Not as Arabia, but it's just...
I loved you in the seat.
I thought you were great in the seat.
That's that seat for sure.
I love Staten's C.
But I loved you in the seat too,
but I just would never argue with me.
I'll argue with you and Nick.
Okay, anyway.
I agree with Arabia as far as
white boy would good hair.
I totally agree.
I think that
Trevor Lawrence came...
Like I said, we have to pick
as week one is way too early to
But if we had to pick,
Trevor Lawrence is playing really well,
and Brock Purdy played really well in week one.
Lamar Jackson,
you know,
two,
two,
two,
MVPs in the last couple years.
Who the fuck did he come snatch with them from Christian McCaffrey?
I think Christian McCaffrey's about to get him.
He killed the 49thus,
and he just basically came and took the fucking MVP out of his hand,
if I'm not mistaken.
But depends on who wins.
You know,
we're talking about who's going to win the
AFC or the NFC, it depends on who wins.
But if we're going to bear it, based on what happened in week one,
I'm going to agree with Arabia, Trevor Lawrence, or Brock Purdy,
but we have a lot more weeks and a lot more football to play.
Yeah.
Just some early predictions.
I want to see if any of y'all end up being right later down the line,
just to clarify while we do this.
I don't mind it.
Oh, my gosh.
She's talking about Jackson Dart.
This is a guy got Jackson Dart.
You know, bro.
Like, I don't think anything we're going to work on tall.
respectfully.
Hall ball got Nicky's aunt, you know?
This thing is wild.
You ain't go this hard for the Knicks, man.
He loved Nick and love that, them giants, man.
Very respectful.
Okay, let's get to another quarterback.
Let's get to Kirk Cousins.
We haven't talked about him too much, which, granted, we haven't needed to.
But there's a quote by him because he was talking about that he has a self-described
in-and-out problem.
He said it's his new post-game cheat meal with no cookout being in Las Vegas.
So he said, coming home from when on Sunday night, I don't know if I
I can think of a better spot than that.
Just out of curiosity, one Arabia, because I know you haven't lived on the West Coast.
Have you been to In-N-Out?
And what's your food guilty pleasure?
I want to know from all of y'all.
I have been to In-N-Out, but I've only been to In-N-Out now that I've been to Texas
and absolutely disgusting, I hate it.
I'll give it another try on the West Coast, though, to be fair.
And my food, guilty pleasure really is anything sweet.
I'm like a chocolate girl.
But I will say this about Kirk Cousins, though.
I don't know if you guys saw the quarterback documentary a couple seasons ago.
But that's an advertising man, he going to get him a check because he kept talking about,
what was it, super cuts or some type of like barber thing.
And every five sentences, he was like, yeah, because I love super cuts.
So please believe they cut in that check every time he say in and out is $500,000.
So in and out, I'm not a fan.
I'll give it another try.
But shout out to Kurt Cousins getting that money.
Yeah, I think it was crazy that he linked in and out with Cookout,
because cookout is in Atlanta.
My kids used to love that burger spot.
I didn't really like it.
It felt like a barbecue.
Like you was over somebody's barbecue and they put it in aluminum for you.
Yeah, literally the burger just like that.
Yeah.
So I'm really not a fan of it.
And out is kind of cool.
But I think Kirk Cousin is playing really well.
And I think when it comes to this situation, what was the question again?
Yeah, I was just asking what's your food guilty play?
or like, do you have like a confession?
Like, you know what, I actually like this.
Oh, yeah, I like, what a burger apple pies.
Oh.
Me too.
Really?
McDonald's got them now, too.
I don't eat McDonald's, but sugar.
I was with sugar and we wrote through
because they bought the old school fried apple pies back.
I like them drinks too.
Yeah.
Listen, I agree with Arabia.
And I'm not talking about it.
And I like in and out.
So here's what happened with In and Out for me.
I didn't like in and out when I used to visit the West Coast
because they lines is man long.
Yes.
They lines be crazy.
And so when I drove up at the time I got the burger,
I'm like, this shit ain't crazy.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, yo, not for this line, but what they do is
they promote grass-fed cows,
so it seems like the healthy hamburger.
So people are like, no, this is the healthy hamburger.
That's why it and now is so popular.
Back to what I said,
why I agree with Arabia is because I didn't know this,
but I speculated this,
that Kirk Cousins have to be getting paid for this.
It isn't that he's doing it for free,
and I have no information if it's free or not,
but Arabia just, you know,
brought some more light to the situation
and how he got paid for saying something else.
So I was like, this is, you know,
what I like about in and out for their advertisement,
is that they want their people to do it naturally.
Did you see where Michael B. Jordan went right after he won the,
Oscar?
Yeah.
He left the Oscars and where'd he go?
In and out.
Went to In and Out.
Celebratory.
You go straight to in and out after the Oscars?
Yeah.
So he had in and out with the Oscar.
30 minutes after the Oscars over.
So I believe, and I have no facts of this, and then I was like,
now we don't want you to do a commercial.
Make it seem like that's just where you go.
That's the market and playing behind it.
You know, Kurt Connell, don't do a commercial.
Just tell niggas after the late Vegas gave you,
that's your guilty pleasure or whatever the fuck.
they said.
So the way in and out is marketing is great.
Michael B. Jordan goes straight to in and out with the Oscar?
I don't know, bro.
And Guilty Pleasure Food, you know,
that's one thing I will say that I do miss about New York.
There's a lot of great places that I used to like to go eat.
But if I feel like I'm cheating and going off my regular diet,
my favorite place is a place called Jackson Hole Paws,
restaurant in New York.
I love Jackson Hole Paws.
Sit down.
Or like you drive, it's like a, like, well.
Look at my nigga, Nick.
Nick, no, but is it sitting?
Everything sit down for real.
I just thought about it in New York.
Yeah, you go and sit there.
It's like a diner format, but it's not really a diner and shit,
but they got really, really big hamburgers, but they're really good.
Dang.
Okay, well, next time I go to New York, I got to try.
Yeah, I'll give you a list of places to go.
Yes.
You know, Ruth, a bunch of shit.
I have a confession, but I don't even know if I want to say it,
but I'm going to say it anyways, because I have a couple of them that I
like, but I feel like they're so not popular.
One, McDonald's.
No.
You'll be a McDonald's.
Okay, but like, bro, you're talking about,
because there's the one time on the show when I have McDonald's in my purse.
Look, I always have food in my purse, just not today.
Like, I usually eat at a house.
How long was it in there?
She was like this with the nuggets in her purse.
Don't worry about that.
Y'all, I was hungry.
I'd be plund out food out of my bag.
I was like that all throughout school.
I have a couple.
And I'm just going to listen to it.
And I don't care what y'all got to say.
I'm going to say it anyways.
One, Arby's fries are really good.
They're curly fries.
Everybody be shinned on Arby's, I don't care.
Two, I really like Texas Roadhouse, even though I feel like we're like boycotting Texas
Roadhouse right now because they was talking about like they were racist.
Yes, Texas Roadhouse.
That's great.
One, three, Cracker Barrel.
Have y'all been a Cracker Barrel?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Have you been a Cracker Barrel?
Like, why have you ever been a Cracker Barrel?
Like it's not good.
You can't hear you, Arabia.
Unfortunately, yes, I have been to Cracker Barrel,
but I wish I've never been there.
You like a lot of franchise food.
I don't like franchise food.
Yeah.
Well, that's what I mean like a franchise, like guilty pleasure.
Like he said in and out, those are mine.
And I like Bojangles.
I don't care.
But damn, damn, that's that wilder.
Those would be mine.
That's my draft through.
No, I don't.
Those would be mine.
I will be honest with you.
I can't go to Arby's off their slogan and promotion.
I just can't.
We love the meets.
I can't go in there.
I'm never going in Arby's off the slogan and promotion.
I don't like their promotion.
I don't like the way it go about.
I don't like that nigger voice who say it on the commercial.
I can't fuck with Arby's.
I don't care what they're selling in Arby's.
I wouldn't go in there for a water.
That promotion is wild, bro.
Who says that?
And be that with that.
Who the fuck is saying that slogan?
Yo, I know when the marketing means, I know what to do.
We got the, you know.
We got the meats.
We got the pores.
You're like, nah, bro.
But you know it, though.
It's catchy.
Yeah, they spend money advertising, man.
It's catchy.
Look.
Some of those places you just got to go and try one thing.
Like I said, Arby's fries, bojangles biscuits.
It ain't bad.
I'm not walking at Arby's to use the bathroom.
They mad disrespectful.
I don't like they marketing.
I don't like it.
I don't like that voice.
That's fair.
But you know it.
You recognize the voice.
I'll tell you that.
You know,
Liberty, Liberty voice.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's sort of shit that you're watching
and be catchy,
you know what I'm saying?
Even like you,
I wanted to salute you on that
on the Allstate thing.
You know, everybody knows like a good...
Oh, the State Farm.
State Farm.
Yeah.
Like a good neighbor.
Yeah, shit is catching.
You know, but it's not that it's cool.
No, State Farm is cool.
I'm talking about Arby's.
Killers, so if they gave you $10 million, you wouldn't do the Arby's commercial for 10?
We didn't, not for that slogan.
Because they know why they're being funny.
They think they could buy you.
I don't like that.
Yo, we could get this nigga because it ain't genuine.
You know what I'm saying?
It's like, yo, to me, my opinion, niggas be doing shit like that.
Like, I remember one time I was in Ice Tea office and two short came in.
I didn't have an album out yet.
I tried Ice Tee always showed man love, super duper love.
And Tushu was like, yo, you cut your ponytail off?
He said, shit, niggas gave me 350,000.
I grow up back.
L.L. KooJ., they said, take your hat off.
They want to see the boy.
They want to try to do shit.
You know what I'm saying?
Yo, nobody ever seen L.L. KooJ.
Head ever, pause, because you only wore a hat.
The right price for the movie?
Cool.
10 million, I'll do it if that's not the slogan.
If they want me to do it the slogan, they try to be funny.
They're trying to be funny.
I can't be bought like that.
Can't be fun.
So bring it all back to football, you know, every team in the NFL has a slogan.
And the Panthers and the Falcons are in the same division.
The Panthers slogan is keep pounding.
And the Falcon slogan is Rise Up.
So whenever they play, which is very often, it's rise up and keep pounding.
Okay.
And people probably chant it too.
And that's fine.
The face said it all.
Okay, no, we don't like that.
Got it.
Okay, well, shout out to those fans.
She's trolling right.
Yeah, that's definitely.
Yeah, you was trolling?
It's true.
No, it's true.
Okay.
Don't like it.
I don't have nothing else to say about it.
It's okay.
Yeah.
It's cool.
It's cool.
On the topic of quarterbacks and football, going back to it, I know we were talking
about Kirk, and we know that Mendoza is also now with the Raiders.
How long do you guys give quarterbacks to develop?
because I think there's a discussion right now that's kind of around like this quarterback is running out of time.
This person, this is their last year.
So Arabia, what's that threshold for you?
And then who comes to mind of when you think of like, this person's kind of running out of time?
Yeah.
So I think the bigger point for me is that development a lot of times isn't linear.
You're going to have ups and downs and ups and downs.
We see Baker Mayfield who really had some rocky times in the NFL, but now he looks a lot better with Tampa Bay.
Look at Sam Darnold, who was a journeyman.
now he's winning Super Bowls.
CJ Stroud, I think, is an example of someone who still has time.
I'm giving you at least five years.
I think Jordan Love is in his seventh year in the NFL.
So Jordan Love right now is someone who I would say, okay, we pretty much know who he is.
He's still a young guy age-wise, especially relative to what a quarterback's shelf life is in the NFL.
But I think we pretty much know who he is.
But that doesn't mean that they don't have anything left in their career.
You can either be a career backup or you can find some kind of resurgence like Daniel Jones.
Daniel Jones had a good rookie year, struggled, and then now he has its resurgence with the cult.
So at least he did last year.
So I'm going to give a quarterback about five or six years to at least see who they really are, see what their identity is.
At that point, we've seen them pretty much play every division in the NFL because they play, you know, they rotate divisions as far as their schedule is concerned.
But I will never count a quarterback out, you know, we've seen too many quarterbacks kind of have a result.
Tyrae Taylor and Gino Smith, very tumultuous careers where they've been high and low.
So I'll say five years, but it's not linear.
Yeah, here I go.
I disagree.
I think when it comes to a quarterback, he has four years.
And I'll say that, especially in a hot city.
I think when you're talking about those other, like, B markets, then you have more time to do that.
But when it comes to a hot city like New York or it comes to a city like, what's that, Los Angeles?
It's not the same.
I remember Jared Gough was in with the Rams, right?
They switched them out for Matthew Stafford.
They didn't wait five years for him, and he's still a reputable quarterback,
but they didn't take that time to wait for him.
And I think there's some quarterbacks that's right now on the clock.
That's when I was talking about C.J. Strout, I really believe that.
I believe when teams are trying to win, they don't have five years.
They don't have five years to wait, not in hot cities again.
In Texas, I mean, Houston will be one of those cities,
just like L.A. will be one of those cities.
Larson, I mean, New York will be one of those cities.
Miami is one of those cities.
People just don't have that time.
You see tours out of there that people don't have that much time.
Not in a good city.
I think y'all both are correct.
I think that you got about four years
and you don't got that much time
because it's very impatient.
But you do have people that await.
You know, like Arabia brought up a little while ago,
Charles is still sticking with Justin Herbert
because you're like, it's something there about him.
He's right there, but then he's not right there.
You know what I'm saying?
So I think both of y'all are correct.
And Arabia made a great point, too.
You could be trash in one city and just be in a bad situation.
You could be Sam Donald and win the fucking Super Bowl the next.
Even though he wasn't really in a bad situation
with the Vikings.
The Vikings just based this shit off
these last two games.
Had a bad regular season game
and the last game of the season.
It had a bad playoff game.
It was like, oh, this thing can't get it done when it count.
Oh, really?
I won the Super Bowl next year.
How about that?
So it depends on where you're at,
but I think both of y'all made really, really great points.
I don't know the answer
because it could be impatient.
It can be time to develop.
Like, how many years has Trevor Lawrence been in the NFL?
four or five years, and he's just starting to me, my opinion.
Yeah, that's a real good one.
My opinion is he's just,
the last year is when he's starting to flourish.
So you got, and they gave him $200,000 million,
but they didn't do it off what he's done.
They do it off what he's thinking,
what they think he's going to do.
So I think both of y'all are correct.
And then it's about being with a team that trusts you
and who's winning too.
Because if you're not winning
and your quarterback's not doing good,
now the coach is looking at it like,
yo, now he's playing with my career.
That's why when Nick was talking about the other day,
when Jackson Dart kept getting hurt last year,
the fucking head coached the bull,
he got running in the fucking tent.
He's supposed to be coaching the game.
His fucking job was on the line,
which we see ended up getting fired,
but his job was on the line.
So I agree with both of you guys to make a long story show.
Yeah, and previously, remember it was Daniel Jones they got rid of.
He goes to Indiana, he turns up.
But that was within that window that I'm talking about.
They didn't stay with him a bunch of years.
I remember Gino was like that too when he went the Seahawks
and when he went out there to Vegas as well.
And then to answer your question, Trevor Lawrence is in his sixth year,
which is crazy because time be flying.
And then just out of curiosity,
because I'm just curious if it's the same for you guys on the other end.
When you think about the NBA, do you think that the time is similar or you think it's different?
You trade it differently.
Yeah, when it comes to the NBA, the time is much shorter.
Even like what Killer was just saying with Trevor Lawrence, that's one of those B markets, though.
You get what I'm saying?
In a really good market, they need you to show up right away.
I remember when Luca first came and he was in L.A.
Everybody was geek that Luca was there.
But then when the next year, they're like, Luca, you got to get in the gym.
You got to get ready.
the bigger cities don't have that wait in time for any athlete, I don't believe.
I depend on, to me, it depends on who you are.
It depends on that.
They'll wait on some niggas and other niggas, they wait.
You got people, people, we have some franchises, right?
We talk about NBA.
They know they're not going to win, but you know because you got a superstar
or a star on the team that at least we're going to fill these seats up
and keep some eyeballs on the TV, right?
Let's think about this right now, right?
Do you really want to watch the Milwaukee Bucks play?
With Tyler Hero?
Yeah, I'm just, I'm going to be a real answer.
I don't.
If they're going to start with it.
That's not going to be like, yo, the bucks is playing.
I got to get home.
Now, if they were to get like,
they would need Jordan Poole and Tyler Hero
since they're from the,
the R. and Wisconsin community,
maybe it might bring some.
I'm not asking what they should do,
make sure.
Do you want to go see if they're like,
yo, the Bucks playing in the time,
we got to get home.
Got to watch this game.
Are you going to say that?
That's what I'm trying to say.
I'm watching the drop, man.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
So basically, now if the Bucks start,
one, he'd be like, oh, shit, let me see what the Bucks are doing,
but it's not an immediate fact that you be like,
I got to see him play.
But on the other foot, the reason I said that is because
you know, watch, it's, it's, it's,
It's six years so far, six years.
Five, might be the seven of you coming up.
When is Zion going to get it together?
They didn't trade him yet.
They keep saying, nah, he's going to get healthy or he's going to lose weight.
All he is about more babies, more strippers, more prostitutes, more porn stars.
So to me, it depends on who you are because they say in their brain, if you own the pelicans,
you're saying, if he ever get together, though.
If you get it together, it's late.
When is he going to get it together?
That's the question.
So to me, it depends on who you are.
Great, great takes.
Ain't nobody trying to wait that long on potential.
I'll tell you that.
You got to cut your losses at some point.
Yeah.
But deciding when to do that takes people longer than they expect you a lot.
But great conversation, y'all.
That is all the time that we have for today, Arabia.
Thanks for joining the show, as always.
Thank you so much for having me.
I love the energy, like you said.
First day energy versus the soft-spoken, I like it.
People is crazy, man.
For the ladies, they have it.
I'm just saying, that's psycho energy right there.
Yeah, that was psycho energy.
I don't deny it.
I know who I am, but you know who you're doing.
People are crazy, man.
Yeah, you ever, and I ain't talking about a rape,
but you ever have, you've been married 25 years,
but before that.
Have I have sex in mind?
You choking them and they're smiling.
You're trying to kill them.
Why?
They're just smiling like you're not in control.
Psycho shit like that.
Tell me.
Not using a rabia at.
No, it applies.
It applies.
I got punched in the back of my head once.
Loved it.
Yeah, I've done that several times.
You ever been, you ever, and I don't mean,
we already here now.
You ever, you ever been, I don't know how far you go,
But sometimes I'm a little older than I haven't done it in a while,
but I used to hit from back and put my foot on their face to degrade them
as far as much as I could degrade them.
And some girls like that.
They like you to be in control, man.
Fun times.
I like degradation, but the feet on the face is not for me.
But, you know, I love that for you.
Yeah, yeah.
It's been a minute, man.
Because now if I let girl let me do that, I'll be like,
you got to really go.
I don't know what I'm going to see you again.
I'll try you.
I'll definitely try you out.
I'll definitely test the limits on you.
Well, y'all, thank y'all for watching.
And as always, it is what it is.
