Hey, man. I tell you what, my Thursday, Friday, the Saturday was good. Sunday morning and
church was good. Right then, then it kind of went south after that, man.
Now you're bringing church in it.
Yeah, listen, though.
Let me give love my boy, Cam, for taking care of me, man.
Because I was out at Cam's comedy show Thursday night, man.
And it was, dude, listen.
Listen, man, that thing was cracking.
It was Nigelville.
It was everything.
Yeah.
That's fun.
We have fun, man.
We really did.
Hey,
I came in, right?
Cam got all the people in the private room
and he got the food laid out.
I grew up one of 17.
I came in there, dude.
I hit the greens right away.
I mean, I'm talking about the whole part of green.
The whole part of green.
I felt bad because when I went back for the fourth time,
I said, man, hey, listen, don't y'all niggas be talking about me, but I'm a hit him with him.
Hey, the food was great, man.
It really was a great time, man.
I appreciate you taking care of it, man.
Yeah, it looks like an amazing show.
Kill always does great things when it comes to events.
See, this is his expertise, you know.
He lays it pause, lays it out.
Yeah, first of all, before you and get to the show, Mike, you might be the hardest working man.
I don't even know if to call a show business,
sports business.
You come to the show that you land in Denver,
then I see you giving the game speech
to the Colorado Buffalo's after.
I don't know if you teleport.
I don't know how you do it, Mike.
But I just want to give you your credit
to be moving around, how you're moving around,
and not to blow your age up and none like that.
But you just, yo, you're moving better than me in the way.
I'm like, wow, man.
But thank you for coming through, Mike.
Because to be honest with you,
you're the only one from the show.
show came to support. So I just want to tell you, thank you for coming through.
I mean,
a lot to me. Can I, can I have something?
What was your excuse? What was your excuse? Because I got a, I got a good one.
It's not even an excuse. I don't, I don't even really need excuse. I just want to tell
Mike, thanks. We can move forward.
No, I want to put this out there because it's not even an excuse. First of all, congratulations,
because the show did look phenomenal. And I really,
wish I could have been there.
The plan was to be there.
And then for whatever reason, I don't know what else was going on in New York, but everything
was sold out.
I was like, okay, I love this.
And the only options were like $10,000 a night.
And I was like, okay, love that for me.
So I will plan ahead.
That's what I will do.
But it looked great.
And I'm sad I couldn't be there because I didn't want to.
To your credit, um, stat, you're not lying.
Comic Con was going on.
It was crazy in New York.
It was like your event and Comic-Con took all the host.
hotel rooms. I was like, okay, I should have planned ahead.
It was definitely crazy.
Why didn't you plan ahead, Mace?
Talk about me.
Let me tell you.
Let me tell you.
Let me tell you.
I really did.
Man, I'm talking.
Cory Holcomb, though.
That joke is so funny.
That joke was so funny, man.
It was mind and more and funny, man.
I was laughing.
So loud.
I really was.
But let me tell you, because you know, I had my guy with me,
with me. Mike Nicholas. Great dude. Great dude. White guy. White guy. And then, you know, just a good
white guy with me. And when we were in the show, because I wanted to go and be a part of the show
cams, I said, let me go out, be with the audience. You guys got to understand, right? My schedule for
probably the last 15 years before, you know, the last couple of years, I used to leave Dallas
on Wednesday, go to wherever we do the Thursday night game, broadcast the Thursday night game,
say Baltimore, leave there on Friday, go to L.A., work Saturday, Sunday.
I went off the air Sunday morning at 10 a.m., got on the plane, 11 a.m., flew to New York,
worked there Monday, Monday or Tuesday, and then flew back home to Dallas.
So I did this for about 15 years, just running around traveling.
So now that I don't, I get to go to my guys' events.
I wasn't able to go to those events all those years.
So I was working all the time.
So now, yeah, I'm enjoying that.
You know what I'm saying?
I'm enjoying it.
I've earned the right to have this fun.
But let me tell you something to happen.
Oh, my God, I got to tell you all this.
I got to tell you.
Oh, my God, oh, my God.
We were in the audience.
We're sitting at.
I'm sitting in C2.
I got Mike sitting in C1.
And thank you, Cam, for sitting me, my boy, Lido.
He took great care of me as secure.
That's my boy now.
I mean, we had a great time.
We had a great time.
I'm going to fly him.
I'm going to hire him to keep him with me because he handled him.
He really did, dog.
He really did.
Let me tell you what happened.
Let me tell you how it was somebody when they said, you know,
something was getting drunk.
I mean, he was flashed drunk, gone.
He was gone.
He was gone.
And he turned to me, he got up, turned to Mike.
And he didn't see me.
He didn't even see Lido.
He said, do not go over my bed one more every time I know something.
That's the second time.
He just went off.
He just went off.
Mike did knock over his bed.
We didn't know what he was talking about.
I mean, if it was any other brother, he would have hit this dude in the mouth.
I said, I told Mike later on, boy, I said, I'm so glad I was with you, you know,
a good dude that ain't going to try to start.
nothing up in here.
Cause the last thing I would want to have to hear is, hey,
oh, oh, okay, I'm big brother, my Gervon, change.
And that nigga was up in a swingy.
What the, you see what I'm saying?
What's the hell?
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
Like, oh my God, man.
So yeah, man.
And your boy took care of it.
He said, he said to him, he said, my man.
He said, my man, why don't go where you're going.
You know, he got him out of there.
And we didn't have to take care of it.
Later on, the guy got, later on, when we were laughing
so hard at Huck and Corey, then he turned.
He said, oh, my God, he said, oh, God, it's my girl.
Oh, my God, it feels so bad.
I feel so bad, you know, but I was like, man.
Then he started, you know, but then I shook his hand
and made sure, you know, we're okay,
because I don't want you to get another essay here to hit me.
I don't know what's going on.
We good, right?
We good.
That's all right.
Listen, Mike, anybody I put with you,
only reason they didn't get shot,
because y'all was inside, man.
My man Lito don't even play like that, man.
He don't do too much talking, man.
I know, I know.
I'm happy you're safe, man.
I'm happy you're safe, man.
Yeah, he's good dude, man.
He's a good dude.
You love to get that.
Okay.
So we're going to start with not one of our favorite teams on here.
We're going to actually take a slice of the humble pie
because we're going to start with the first seed in the NFC,
which right now is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
They have a 5-1 record after beating the 49ers, 30 to 19.
So, Mike, what are your expectations for the Bucks at this point in the season?
Then how did you feel about that game?
Man, I thought that was an incredible game for Tampa Bay to come out and win.
Because, you know, they haven't had much success against the 49ers.
Now, the 49ers are banged up, you know, but the truth of the matter is, so is Tampa.
We were just talking about Emeka last week.
And now he's even out with Mike Evans.
they had to find other people to make plays.
And again, Baker of Mayfield found those guys to make plays.
I kind of, when I look at it, because I, you know, we always want to try to figure out who's the dominant team.
Who's the dominant team?
Where's the dominant team in the national football league?
Right now, even though Tampa looks like one of the top teams, certainly in the NFC,
I, I've surmised that there is no dominant team in the NFL.
NFL this year. We're going to see the team that ultimately wins. I believe they'll
hit a roll, they'll hit a spell of consistency, but you won't have any dominance team in
the NFL. I think everybody will have a chance. Mike, can you describe dominance? Because
what you've seen, what you've seen, you know, Kansas City Chiefs do over the years. You
walked in every game. All she's going to win that game. We chief's going to win that game.
What you've seen the Patriots do prior to the chief, you know, the Patriots walked in.
Oh, they're going to win that game.
Hey, we ain't got to get outside of this room right here is what you've seen my cowboys do when I was playing.
Mike, please don't bring up the cowboys.
That is dominant.
Please, Mike.
Not right now, Mike.
Right.
I'm just saying.
I'm just saying.
Oh, you know what I mean?
I'm just saying.
So, so, yeah.
But, but like, look at it.
Any team now could beat any team.
And we're talking about Tampa.
Tampa has won each one of those games by one score.
They could have easily lost all of those games that they have won,
but they made the right play at the right time.
It wasn't that they dominated, but they didn't make the right play at the right time.
And that's the difference.
So some of the best teams right now are at four and two, right?
I think I think Baker Mayfield did his thing, especially it seemed like he's out there.
making it happen with practice players.
He's out there with the practice squad making this happen.
So I know you would love to make excuses for the other team,
but Mike, Mike, what I looked at was Baker Mayfield
and have no excuses, so I don't really see a reason
for the other team having excuses.
And he's putting up championship points.
You know me, I'm a numbers guy.
I'm looking at the numbers, Mike.
The man is up there with 30 points.
That's where you're going to need to be come January,
to win it all.
And I like the way Tampa Bay is looking,
but it's a Florida thing.
Why would I be confused?
Yeah, Mike, we was talking about how
Dak Prescott, you was pushing for him for a VP.
Baker Mayfield, to me, is looking like the MVP right now.
Yeah, he took a minute.
Patrick Mahomes.
Yeah, more than Patrick Mahomes.
And maybe even more than Josh Allen at the moment.
On that last, the thing that sealed the deal for this game is when it was third and 14,
and he scrambled for 15 yards, broke tackles, ran out the pocket.
Baker Mayfield looked like he did it all.
And to Mason's point, the guy, what's the guy's name you say last day?
I don't want to say, you know, Ibuka, Emeka, and Bucca.
Like, Mike, you got to think about God when it's her, Evans, it's her, Ibuka.
got a hamstring injury during this game.
And he still was making it happen.
I think Baker Mayfield right now, if you ask me,
is leading the NFL.
And I know we're in week six.
We got 10 weeks to go, 11 weeks ago, still early.
But he's looking really good.
And I think that was the difference in the game.
When you sit there and look at San Francisco,
and like you said, they're banged up as well.
And you look at Mac Jones.
And if you don't watch the games and you just look at his numbers,
you're like, damn, 347 yards.
every week this nigga 300 something but he has trouble getting out the pocket when the pocket
collapses he can't scramble like baker he can't move around and then he makes an irrational
decisions those are the two picks that he made well one of them they just read his eyes
and it should have been a pick six but the guy slipped and the second one he just he had a man
wide open for first damn and then he threw it over him trying to get more yardage and got an
interception numbers look great looks really good but his decision making is questionable
And when that pocket collapses, he has trouble getting out the pocket.
So even though San Francisco is banked up, Tampa Bay is banged up too,
but Baker Mayfield looked like the Baker Mayfield that we thought he was going to look like
when he came into the NFL.
Yeah, and you're right, Cam, whenever you're having a season like this,
you have that signature play, you know what I mean?
So even when they're putting up the vote for the MVP,
it's going to be that play that they put out, you know,
because it's going to be like, look at all he's sacrifice for his team.
It's just a mix of the D.B.
You know what I mean?
Right.
Because he got out of the set.
It ran and he's, oh, man.
Yeah, so, yeah, that'd be.
But he did.
He had a signature game today.
Yeah.
And that actual play, the third and 14, that's kind of what sealed to deal.
Because the next play, he threw a 45-yard touchdown pass, threw it right in the bucket.
And that sealed the game for Tampa Bay to win.
Yeah.
something i want to add really quick too i think about baker that's a cool story is like
he's making also his case likable because you know how some people you see who are winning
and you're kind of just like i don't really know how i feel about them i think all of us here
even just alone have had nothing but positive things to say about him and even um last week in one
of our previous episodes i'm not going to say it was criticism but i believe mace you said this
in cam as well you kind of were like he needs to be a little bit careful like he needs to be a bit
careful with the cockiness and like not doing too much because even when at the press conference they
asked him about the MVP chance he was kind of just like well it's week six we're just getting
started like we're not going to go there yet so he has sparks of both which is also good to see so
I think from all angles as a quarterback just not even just from the play on the field but how he's
reacting to you know chance and then just the media members and stuff I think in general it makes
him like a very good package so I'm excited to see kind of the direction that Tampa Bay will
continue to go because I think Baker you know what treasurer treasulous now you know I
I don't know where was that I was somewhere the other day and I'm telling you oh I was in
New York walking the streets of New York hanging out of New York right and this lady comes up
to me oh my god oh my and she's she's such a big fan of yours and she was giving you so much
love she was just talking about how great of a job you do and bringing it all together
You know, when me makes the KM goals,
how you bring it all back together.
I thought that was really sweet of her.
You know what I mean?
Really nice of her, you know.
Then, afterwards, I didn't know if she was trying to hit on me
or just keep giving you compliment.
All right, yeah, yeah.
And then you said, she said some crazy things at the end.
I just said, okay, you know,
like, going home to do some things, pause.
I was like, okay, all right.
She just said, she tried to use me
That's an end for you.
No, but like all jokes aside, I appreciate that.
That's really nice to hear because, you know, I love my job and I try my best every day to be better.
So that's dope to hear.
And Mike, that's funny that you say that because I was actually on a flight last week.
And somebody was talking about you too.
They were literally, somebody pulled out a picture with you.
You just be like everywhere.
Yeah, literally everywhere.
It was like with his son.
He was like, what a guy.
I love Michael Urban.
I was like, I didn't say anything, but I was just cracking up because I was like, I have to tell him.
That's funny that we have a, have a swap of stories of people saying nothing but positive
things.
So that's dope to hear.
I want to add one more thing to what you just said, your last statement,
to what me and Mike was kind of going back and forth with a couple weeks ago,
is that I kind of see exactly what's going on.
And when Mike was saying how Baker Mayfield has that in, you know, I don't remember
the exact term of you, but like that shit in them.
And I was basically saying he needs to stay home.
humble and like you said stat is both when he's on the field i think it's copy and then when he gets
to the locker room i like when he's calming down because that's exactly what he he doesn't need
to talk to you like he could have been like niggas could stop me yeah third or 14 you see what i did
but they but you know they asked them a question actually and he was like well whatever stat it was
i don't remember the exact stat but there's like did you ever think that you would be in the same
conversations, Michael Vick? And his answer was, no, I didn't, but I hope that doesn't happen again
because I will never be able to do the things that Michael Vick does. And I was like, yeah, he gets
it. He understands it. But on the field, he's that Baker Mayfield that Mike was talking about.
And it's good to have that balance. I think Patrick Holmes and certain quarterbacks have that
balance and they understand it. Right. And afterwards, he's given all the love to his teammates.
That's a, you know what I mean? He's all woo-woo. And now,
Kim, what I was talking about, that heart and soul of a team is really at the quarterback
position. Tom Brady was that. You know what I mean? But I don't know any other quarterback
was that. And Baker is that. I mean, you know, the fire, the heart, everything that gets them
going. You know, and yeah, I like that at a quarterback position.
Let me, and speaking of that, what we'll talk about it when we talk about the Giants.
Mike, you don't know another quarterback that has that, the Chiefs. What are you talking about, Mike?
Right. And the Chief, Tom Brady, Tom Brady had it, the Chiefs have it.
You're right. Absolutely. And that's what I'm saying. That's how powerful that it is.
That's how powerful-
Yeah, Mike. Don't go, don't do that.
Right. No, you're right. You're absolutely right.
But, you know, you're absolutely right. That, boy, he's everything.
And that dude is getting out. He's getting back to where he feels comfortable and moving around.
And they're putting up some points. So, yeah, you definitely got to throw Patrick Rahms in there.
I had to call that out.
He said, we ain't doing that.
Yeah, we're not to rain on your parade, Mike,
but we got to talk about the cowboys.
There's highs and there's lows.
Okay, so the banners beat the cowboys 30 to 27.
One of the former players, Rico, actually said that you guys weren't buckled up.
So, Mike, what happened there?
And we kind of discussed this before,
but I think no better time to talk about this now.
And we'll get into that game later.
But do you think the Cowboys are the worst team in their division right now?
I thought you was going to say ever, but go ahead.
No, ever is a stretch.
Right now in their division, let Mike speak.
Right, right.
And two, here too, here too, because the Giants played a pretty good game last week and Thursday
and beat the Eagles, this thing fluctuate.
Now, I like what I'm seeing in the Giants, but I like what I see sometimes with the Dallas
Cowboys offensively. There's nothing. There's absolutely nothing to like defensively. I mean nothing whatsoever. It is horrific. And if Dallas doesn't score of 35, 40 points a game, then they have no chance at winning football game. That's the reality. And what they did today, they started saying, okay, let's back up, let's back up and play more coverage. That's when you really need a CD Lamb to do the damage on.
on the inside of the zones.
I thought George Pickens played a great game.
The mistake I believe they made in that game
was late in that game,
they still kept trying to run the ball
or when they had the chance to go get the field goal
and go up by three,
they lost five and then lost seven yards,
trying to dump it off to the back.
I mean, that was playing MVP football.
Right there, you watch the Rams,
you watch, you just mentioned Patrick Mahomes,
you watch Baker Mayfield,
you got to put that ball in the MVP's hand
and let's throw the ball down the field.
They got real conservative and it caught them
and they lost the game.
But they got no shot if they don't put up 35, 40 points.
That's just with that defense.
It's literally, literally arena football.
Mike, Mike, Mike,
don't try to wiggle your way out of this pause.
When they come to the Cowboys,
they might be the worst team in the last.
last decade. I'm just going to go on the
record. Defensively. Defensive.
Yes. Like Mike,
this is atrocious. When you
think about what this team has,
they have Dak Prescott. They have
your boy, C.D. Lamb.
They've been talking about Rico
now. He's putting up major points.
And then you got Dak putting up major
points. And I don't know what's worse
when you're losing and not playing
well or you're losing and you're
actually playing good.
So I don't know how you fix that.
How do you fix it if you're losing and you're actually playing good?
Do you start playing even worse so you can win better?
This is just not making sense, Mike.
I'm ready to blow up this whole Dallas team.
And realistically, I think we should be the first sports show that ban the Dallas Cowboys.
I'm going to talk to kill about it.
We should just ban the Cowboys off the show.
Let you come, but the Cowboys got to go.
Okay.
I don't mind you blowing up that defense.
If you're going to blow up that defense,
I like to steal for you.
I like that math for you.
I like it getting blown up.
But I want, they need a CD back to help them with any chance
to help offset how poor that defense is.
And Mike, they're losing to a team
that was just selling tickets for 50 cents last year.
They were dollar tickets.
Yeah.
And that's the,
the fools go right there let me tell you when you when you talk about doubts like and cam you
you can't we can't talk about this even after week one like they go up against the teams that we
expect to be there and they play hard and go and then they go up against the team that they're
supposed to be and they lose you know i i rather you beat the teams you're supposed to be and and
then get beat by the teams that supposed to be and then get beat by the teams that's supposed to
to beat you the right way so you can have a fair assessment of what you have this way you
know you know it's just it's just yeah it's bad how is it that that defense can let even the
poorest teams in the NFL have their best days that that's that's incredible they have a fourth
and two fourth and a fourth and four for the game you're eight yards off now that that's
kind of defense you're playing these eight yards
off, and it's a fourth and four.
You've got to press that guy.
Stuff like that, it's just, I don't know.
It's the worst defense I've ever seen.
Yeah, Mike, this is called bipolarism when you just jump from person to person.
This is what you're giving us.
This is what the Cowboys are giving us.
They don't know which team they want to be.
When they play the weak teams, they play down to that.
Now, when they play the good teams, they play almost good enough to win.
Mike, we're going to have to ban the Cowboys.
And what's your assessment of that, Mace?
What is your assessment of that?
If you play, if you play the weak teams and play down in that
and then play the better team and try to play better and play near what they are,
what's your assessment?
Does that mean you are strong-minded or weak-minded?
That's mind-control.
That's mind-control.
That's called weak-minded.
I mean, you're not sure of who you are, identity-wise.
So whoever comes around, you're like a chameleon, you act like them.
If there's bad football players on the floor, on the field, you're not.
you play like that.
If they play well, then you rise to that.
You really don't know who you are.
I don't know who to credit that to.
Do you credit that to the defensive coach?
Do you credit that to the organization?
What's going on?
I believe, yeah, I put some of that on the defensive coordinator.
And I put a lot of that on just, on just want to and desire.
Defense is a lot about want to and desire.
If we are going to just go, if you're going to play hard as you can, we got a scheme together.
Everybody will sit in the gaps, so nobody breaks, break, big runs.
They're giving up everything.
I've never seen anyone run this wide open.
Any kind of movement by an offense, then it's almost like people get lost in the secondary.
They're supposed to have checks to every and any movement that you can go to and get everything covered.
but that's not happening.
And yes, that's on the coach.
Yes, that's on the players also.
Yes, that's on the organization.
It's on everybody.
Cam?
Yeah.
I just think, like, you know, when somebody talks up,
when they play their former team,
when we're talking about what we go down,
being with the Cowboys five years.
And then last year, pardon me, last week,
he knew he was going to play a game.
against the Cowboys this week.
And he tells them to buckle up.
That's like bulletin board material for the Cowboys.
And they be like, if anybody's going to beat us,
and ain't going to be this nigga.
And this nigga had 239 yards from scrimmage,
the most against any,
most for any player that went up against their former team.
And then after the game, he actually asked them,
you told them to buckle up for next week.
And he said, what happened?
He said, I guess they didn't buckle up.
yeah like what you're not supposed to let that happen like you go when you you know I'm not
saying Rico Dow is one of the players where you say oh man we plan against this
nigger but you don't sit there and let niggas talk shit about you knowing they
going to play against you you know like I said football is nowhere near football
as far as toughness but when I play basketball in the 90s if somebody did that
shit you know you can't do it today but
they were going to get hurt you couldn't go to the basket because he wasn't coming down that lane
we wasn't just we wasn't going to allow you to talk and leave the court walking on two feet
that just wasn't going to happen yeah what you said might come on can't can't can this jersey
swam people these jerse people you know what you know what you're like boy y'all like
Boy, hey, y'all like Jeffrey Donald.
You're crazy, man.
Y'all take it.
Y'all give the brother the trophy
after they whoop your head.
You're crazy.
He's not lying, Mike.
I told you to tell us,
but we're going to win the game on the fight.
He wouldn't let us leave the court
unless we won the fight on the game.
That's how I came up.
You win in the neighborhoods.
You played those high school.
You know, if you won the game,
gonna have to fight to get out that's what we did you know that that's just what that was yeah
that that ain't the case it yeah but what i was hoping was like you you actually won this week
because well the show isn't over yet but you i'm gonna give you the credit because we had two to
to and over for cd lamb you only have a one cd lamb today on the show i was waiting for the
second peti lamb to come out you you on the under i lost i lost today on the under for tini lamb today
but look that played good pickers played out men a tremendous hunting yards but to you know it really
isn't much to say about it but clock management and salute to the coaching staff of not just uh
the coaching staff of the panthers they went for it on the fourth and two to burn more clock and to get closer for the
field goal. And that's
just exactly what they did. They hit a
walk off. Field goal with no
time left on the clock.
I'm surprised you didn't say that because that
was another thing I was expected from you.
Well, you know, if they missed the field goal
and if it would have won't in the overtime
and if it went out of the third in the overtime
missed out of time.
No, no. If the BB,
if Duron Bland would have come up
and press the receiver,
just press the receiver
and make the quarterback hold it.
He has to get rid of the ball.
That's the mistake they made there.
That's the details.
But, Cam, to this point that you're talking about right now,
and I was talking about there's no dominant team,
that's going to be the difference for the teams that go far right there this year.
It's going to be coaching.
And the great coaches got to make the great, make the right decisions at the right time
because there's no dominance.
And everybody will have a chance, you know, if you got a good office,
you'll have a chance.
But yeah, yeah, it's going to come down to coaching.
And I thought tonight you should have put it in the MVP's hand
and threw the ball more up the field.
He's not the MVP, Mike.
Can you stop saying that?
That is out the window.
Mike, please.
Mike.
He went into the week.
Wait, wait, wait.
He went into the week.
He went into the week as an MVP.
He went in as an MVP.
That's what he did.
And last.
Okay.
And then the last thing, I have a question for Macele.
The quarterback for, you know, Bryce Young, he had 199 yards.
Dak had over 225.
How does this explain your theory?
First quarterback to 225 wins the game.
Let me look at this for you, Killer, because I knew you was going to bring that.
There was an over and I'm doing that as well.
I'm just going by your theory that whoever quarterbacks get to 225.
normally but when when championship pedigree kicks in it overrised the 225 and now that's what we're
looking at 30 points cam you would notice if you was watching the game these we're entering to
the championship end zone and that's when everything changes what who has championship pedigree
on the panthers tickets was a dollar last year that's what i'm trying to say is things have changed
they're they're scoring championship points michael urban is here that's why we paid them right
And Michael Urban is here to tell you, Cam, that 30 points is championship points.
Michael Irvin, do I stand corrected?
Rebuke me.
You went to church.
That's about, I want amen to that, pastor.
Yes, I want amen to that.
That is about the number that you're going to need.
You didn't like that.
You got to do you.
I don't mind because I see, I see stats facing we both know what's really going on.
on you know yeah i see that it was never if you if you don't score two if the quarterback doesn't
get 225 as long as you get 30 it was only 225 so i guess it's a it's anomaly there we go
precisely precisely because mike you lost me talking about DAC as the MVP candidate like
we didn't just see an exceptional performance from baker mayfield deck is out the window
And Mace, you lost me talking about championship pedigree with the Panthers
when you just called them out for their ticket prices.
So.
Stats, stat, let me tell you.
Things are changing.
Let me tell you what things are changing.
We're in the world where things are changing.
This is, you guys got to get with the change.
We're not back in the 90s.
You know what's crazy stat?
It's both for them with the church yesterday morning.
It's crazy.
sitting up here with this
that's the crazy part
I thought it was holding my hands like this
I was getting in it
I'd kill a bee spinning it
when he puts his hands like this
so maybe I need to stop
put my hands like that
it's a perfect time to go to break
so everybody can just think about
what they just said
when we return we
we'll discuss the Giants Thursday night football game.
Don't go anywhere.
But she really thinking about it want to be free.
Welcome back.
Now let's get into our underdog picks of the day.
It's Monday night football.
So tonight the Bills will play the Falcons.
Underdog has Josh Allen at 225 and a half passing yards.
Do you have them higher, lower mace?
I'm going higher.
Hey, Cam.
Yep, hi.
Okay, James Cook is at 71.5 rushing yards.
You have him higher or lower.
I'm going to lower.
Yeah, lower.
Okay, and Michael Pennix is at 223 and a half passing yards.
You have them higher, lower Mace.
I'm going lower.
I'm going to hire.
They got some dogs that don't receive a spot.
I'm definitely going to hide.
Okay.
Make sure you all download the Underdog app and you can make your picks too.
So we're going to backtrack to Thursday night football because the Giants did what a lot of people thought
that they couldn't, and they beat the Eagles 34 to 17.
So, Mike, I think this goes hand in hand
because I asked you a question last segment.
You kind of skipped past it.
So two questions.
One, do you believe in Jackson Dart?
And then two, are the Cowboys the worst team
in their division right now?
Hmm.
Well, I don't think the record actually says that.
But, you know what I mean?
This thing changed.
They played, New York played well last week, and the Cowboys did not.
So we're going week to week.
Yeah, but the Cowboys scoring more points than the Philadelphia Eagles.
I mean, how are you basing this right now?
How are you basing?
The Eagles just lost to the Giants.
Can I put the Giants ahead of the Eagles?
Because they just, you see what I'm saying?
So, yeah, yeah, it's week six.
It's not good.
It's just week six right here.
But let me tell you about this game.
This game here was in New York.
It was an interesting game now because everybody,
they came back thinking,
San Juan Barkley's coming home to do his thing to the Giants.
The first run he got, went for almost 20 yards.
But by the game in, Scatterboo was saying,
get out of here, we got him.
That's what he's just saying, Scatterboo.
That's scataboo at dark.
Boy, they got, hey, listen, New York gonna love them dudes right
man that dude that's one you did you see that guy when he scored touchdown and did a
backflip yeah you know when people do backflip I always watch how high they get
off the ground when they do Tyreek Hill man he does he does a black backflip on the
ceiling you know most people you worried about them getting all the way over all the way around
but this dude so strong man I said oh my god he is he's one of the more hard white boys
one more ho ho ho ho white boys they just go keep coming and keep hitting you and keep hitting you so yeah yeah the giants the giants got an attitude and then they just start putting it on the philadelphia eagles now can the kid keep playing like that his best asset is his ability to move around and make plays he doesn't panic in those moments and that'll work for a while but sooner or later people will start designing the defenses for it and and
And he has to then take another step and be able to out read defenses with his hand, arms, and not just his feet.
But what a great game and a great win for the Giants.
And hell should be breaking loose soon in Philadelphia.
Yeah, I think when it comes to dark, he's, he's, I'm not ready to say that I believe in them yet.
I think he got a long way to go.
I think he got all the intangibles.
And if he stayed poised, he can get there.
but right now he's like 37th in yards he's like 27 and touchdowns um he he's nowhere near what
we're having a conversation about and i think you know this is just this this this goes to
this generation that anytime somebody have a little spark that you already start putting them there
and i think he got a long way to goes but he does have the potential and he does have the
pieces around him to be phenomenal but he would have to be consistent for a much longer time
And we didn't answer the question about, really, the Cowboys, the way we should have.
The Cowboys is the worst team, Mike.
There's no way around it.
I'm seriously talking to kill about this behind your back to ban the Cowboys.
Because this is a delusional segment that we always have to deal with.
Somehow it just keeps coming up.
And people ask me every time I travel, why do y'all keep talking about the Cowboys?
There's nothing here to talk about.
There's no big scandal.
There's no big plays.
And you talk about Dak.
I mean, they might need to get Dak out of there.
I know he's playing good, but it's just not good for the team.
And it's not turning in the wins.
And I'm a win guy.
You know, I'm not really a stat guy.
I'm a win guy.
That makes you just yourself put out numbers on the giant and say it, well, they just on there.
Members and wins, though, Mike.
Y'all keep misinterpreting me.
No, no, no.
No, no, no, no, no.
Don't put an S on that.
The 30 points is a win.
The 30 points is a win.
Mike, what do you want me to do?
A win.
You got numbers in a win, third last Thursday night.
Not wins.
That's what you said.
So a number in a win.
But you got things happening for them.
I like what they are.
I like what they have.
But you said, but the Cowboys had the number one offense going into the week,
the number one offense.
You know, and so, so yeah, it's still early.
There's a lot of things going on.
But I like what I saw with the Giants.
I like the attitude that the Giants said,
let me tell you the one thing I wanted to ask you guys about
because I just, I just watch this man.
I just think it's kind of interesting.
First of all, this kid doesn't have Malik neighbors yet.
When you get neighbors, just imagine what he's going to be
when Malik neighbors get back.
And I'm talking about dark.
Second of all, this thing I want to ask you about.
Do y'all feel kind of funny when I'm watching the Giants
getting ready to play?
And I don't, and I don't,
And I see James Weston comes out there and give the fire up why he'll speak.
And then you go right to the bench and sit down.
I'm like, somebody else.
Please.
You got to get on the field if you're going to get a pregame speech, right?
You can't get him.
I want to only person that thought about that stuff.
I was like, James Wade.
James Wade.
Maybe Jay was a Tudor, he said, Tudor, dark, and let him do it.
Just help them out of something.
But you got to get a snap in if you're going to be giving a pregame speech of the team.
I think James Winston been doing that since Cleveland, before he even was playing in Cleveland,
before Deshawn Watson got hurt.
He's a great motivator, a great speaker.
Even after they got eliminated last year and went home, he was on the road doing interviews,
press conferences.
I think he's going to have a great career after he stops playing.
I mean, I think he's playing now, but after he stops playing, I think he's a very...
I love, I love James.
Yeah, but I get what you say it.
So I'm going to let all this slide over.
I'm going to let this slide, Paul.
No, I get what you saying, no, Mike.
It's like, it's just a nigga we need to be pumping or something.
But maybe every team may need a nigga just to do that because they may not have that emotional leader that you're talking about.
But I want to point something out to step.
You said a great motivator.
You can't be a great motivator.
And going from team to team, because obviously you ain't motivating great lead.
You see what I'm saying?
No, let me, I give an example.
Mike Mason's a year older than me.
So my senior year, not to put his business out there, he was still in school with me.
But the thing about it was when I played and I was fucking up, he was at the game.
And he motivated me from the sidelines games where I wasn't doing good.
or he like can't fuck is you doing nigger and that was like yeah wow and let me get to do what i
have to do so sometimes even if you're not playing i get what you're saying he's suited up and
all that i get it but sometimes you may need to hear that voice from somebody else but i get what
you're saying 100% i can't disagree with you you got way more football nods than if i if i died
and came back i would have as much football nods as you but i want to go straight to stat real quick
like an act static or point something out to stat real quick that's it's a new rule i just thought i
bring it up to you this is another quarterback that didn't get 225 yards to won the game being at the
some things changed so i thought i just talked to you directly about it so but but i but i
love this because it's going right back to my point camp they're reaching championship points i'm just
I was talking this.
You're missing a wrinkle in this.
You're missing a wrinkle.
Mike, Mike, come on, Mike.
Everybody gets, they go but me.
I was just talking to stat.
I just had the points like now.
That's all.
That's all I would say.
It's another game.
I just learned the 30 point wrinkle 12 minutes ago.
So now I know this.
I just got this in my notes when I'm looking at my notes.
Another game.
but now I know it's the 30-point wrinkle, so I keep that in mind.
But I think there's more than anything about just numbers, Jackson Dart motivates them
and not just saying word-wise, just him being on the field.
We've seen the energy that they had when Russell Wilson was playing as opposed to when
Jackson Dart is playing.
And like you said, Mike, listen, this is a little before, yeah, listen, no, I know exactly
what I'm saying is this is a little bit before your time because, you know, me and
Arabia getting into it all the time and my team and when I say before your time I'm not
talking about older I'm talking about your NFL career maybe because my team
growing up I'm talking about since three four five six years old was the rest kids
and scatterboot reminds me at John Riggins he's rough he's rugged and he runs
two niggins was my nigga yeah it's so yeah it's way too early to give him
John Riggins credit but he's got he got that John Riggins
Ron Riggins vibe to him.
And like you said, this makes the game easy on Jackson Dart.
If you're going to get somebody in there rough, rugged, pick up third down yardish,
get you the first downs, leave the game with 98 yards more than with Sequin hat.
This makes the game way more easier for Jackson Dart.
And we'll see how this pans out for the Giants moving forward.
But I will say this, everybody's been hitting me and everybody's mad at me since I put the
Philadelphia hat on a couple weeks ago.
They haven't won a game.
And I don't care.
I don't care.
I only did it to get Mace mad and he didn't get mad, so I really don't care.
So whatever, whatever, Philly, sorry.
Don't fuck with us.
We two and four.
I will add to that, though, like, I know you don't care, which is completely fine.
But it is crazy because I'm not going to, like, before you wore the hat, if you said that the Eagles were going to, like, I wouldn't have expected that.
So the coincidence is insane.
I'm not going to put it all on you because you're not on.
on the field with them.
But it is a crazy coincidence.
I will make that clear.
Last thing about is that,
is that you could tell somebody who cares.
But also, somebody watching cares.
Somebody watching cares.
If somebody would have told you before this happened,
I did tell y'all this could happen.
I told you a couple of years ago they went 10
one and then went one and five.
I'm telling you, I said they're a volatile team and things can flow and be out and we somebody
can get mad and they get all implode and it and it has.
They've only put up 17 points the last two games.
And you talk about a team with dominant talent, but not being dominant.
Unfortunately, Mike, though, I got to get you this time too because the question I did ask
the day before the game started.
I said, is there any chance the Giants can win this game versus the.
Eagles and you said no no way but i said it they implode i said it my you and need what if
mike mike the what if nation is crazy let me let me let me tell you let me tell you let me
i'm sorry i had to do it they started that game trying they were forcing that ball they were forcing
the ball to j ground you know they were forced in the past now because you're trying to keep them
okay and not make them mad that's what i'm talking
talking about yeah they they imploded you know listen man I wasn't going to say
nothing even my God's going to let's just lie but no listen when you started this
segment is that actually who's the worst team in the division and used like the
records that doesn't say so it's because they are half a game ahead of the
giant because of the schedule it is okay but it's because of the schedule you are
I have a game.
I had a giant.
Secondly, you tried to say week to week.
What happens?
This week, okay, cool.
Let's go week to week.
Y'all lost to the worst team last year in the NFL, which is the Panthers, and the
Giants beat the defending champions.
So stop, Mike, y'all are the worst team in the division.
I ain't going to go as far as Mesa's safe ever because the Jets still having won a game
this season.
But come on, Mike.
Come on, man.
But that would still be your opinion, not the facts.
If the record don't say that, you see what I'm saying?
So I'm closer to what, I'm closer to the facts.
That's your opinion.
I'm saying the facts doesn't say that.
Okay.
How did you see what I'm saying?
That's all I'm saying.
It's a half a game.
All right, you're right, because of the schedule.
Not half a game.
Yeah, it's like, I didn't even forgive you half a game better than the giant.
Okay, you're right.
I got to take that half right now.
I got to take what I should get.
I'm taking it.
All right.
All right.
Everybody's getting caught today.
I will just give the Giants their flowers.
I think that they can believe in Jackson Dart
because we've seen a huge turnaround
with now them not having Russell Wilson as quarterback
because even just the fact that Jackson Dart
has been able to beat the Chargers
and the Eagles is phenomenal,
especially given his age.
And then we've seen him in the Scataboo connection
without even having all his pieces.
The Giants are in a very good position right now.
But a quick question that I want to ask you guys
regarding this game before we move on to the next one.
We saw the energy shift as soon as Russell Wilson was placed on field when Jackson
Dart had to go in the tent for concussion protocol, which in return we saw their coach get in
trouble because he wasn't supposed to be over there.
But how do you guys kind of feel about what has happened to Russell Wilson just from like
the player that we knew, I'm going to say once was because that's my take, but the player
that we saw him as to where he is at now to getting booed for literally doing.
about two plays on the field.
How do you feel about where Russell Wilson is going, Mike?
Well, what it looks like, is that there's a PC here.
And a PC means there's a pre-C here.
And a PC means there's a pre-seeing.
pre Sierra and a post Sierra pre Sierra he was a Saudi he plays pretty good
football but I don't know post Sierra Pent tag is got real bad you see what I
mean in real bad not just in his football play but even in in his football
way like when he came over to to Denver and you know got all the special
treatment you know they were saying a lot of things I think that divided him
from the team.
And, you know, and even now, then now you get cut.
Now you're the guy trying to latch on to a team.
You're not coming in as the big guy, you know.
So, yeah, this has been a hard fall, I thought, watching Russell Wilson go through this
the last few years, where he went through in Denver and what he's going through
here in New York.
Mike, are you blaming Sierra?
Is that what I heard you say?
That's just coincidence.
It's just a coincidence.
I'm just a coincidence. I'm just saying knowledge and the fact.
I don't know why y'all putting things in my mouth.
I'm staying real.
I'm just talking about what really happened.
Like, it was a pre and a post.
The pre was good.
The pre went to Super Bowl to post.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think it's crazy.
He didn't even play out there for two.
I didn't even really see two plays.
I thought it was only one.
But when you think about it, once you start getting booed in New York,
it's a no turnaround you know
New York is not a forgiven state
this is like wherever the precedent is set
normally I mean unless it's an anomaly
that's where you're going to be for the rest of your life
I mean so I don't know how to
how to even help them with that
because that's the one place you don't want to be booed
you don't want to be booed in New York
and you definitely don't want to be booed in L.A.
And when you start getting booed in those places
it'll it'll travel sometime to region so this is this is crazy for him and for
Sierra yeah and the reason you asked the question the reason you asked the
question may sorry about the subject can you want to no problem you ask the
question is you saw what the coach did when that kid was in protocol in a
concussion protocol the coach went over and said I don't care if he got a
concussion ain't got no brain who
put him back in the game over Russell.
What that does to every other coach, any other coach or any other team, they're saying,
boy, he must really be done.
Like, you know, I don't know that Russ gets another chance after this because of that
kind of action that you see, you know, even coaches do.
What is he saying?
Coach said, no way I want to put him in this football game, even if I have to put him back
in and I know he ain't got his right mind.
Yeah, that's, yeah, to add on to what you guys said, look, not necessarily Pittsburgh, but you leave, you leave Denver.
No, Seattle, talking about your offensive line.
Then you, when you're in Seattle, you negotiate parking spots, offices, everything else to where Sean Payton said, look, I didn't come here for him.
It's even going to be me or him.
and then we see they stuck with Sean Payton.
I don't think he exited Pittsburgh that bad.
But when you get to New York, you come in and then you're at the Knicks games
and everything else last season and you get there and everything else
and you're living in New York life and he's supposed to be that quarterback.
I just think that, and y'all can all correct me if I'm wrong.
The Legion of Boom kind of saved him from what I'm about to say
because they were so rough and rugged and not just the Legion of Bull when you had Marshawn Lynch
running through niggas. Look, they look really good. But to me, you can't have that kind
of hair and expect that to be a dog. When your hair's that silky, it just doesn't work out.
I don't know niggins with silky hair and they dogs. Nobody with the silky hair gets dogs.
Michael Jordan ball hair.
My nigga, KD.
come in, niggins, no haircut.
Nigger, you got to be one of them niggins.
When your hair is too silky,
they don't respect you.
Look at Michael Porter Jr.
shipped into Brooklyn, all that silky shit.
You can't really have that silky hair
and niggas respect you as being a dog.
Now they just looking at you as a, as a,
as a prima donna.
Like, look at this prima don't ask.
He's a diva.
You know what I'm saying?
You got to produce when you got that image.
Go ahead.
Let me, let me give you, let me give him one.
Pause, pause, pause.
Matt Barnes is silky.
Matt Barnes is a dog.
Yeah.
You must have been about to lie.
Not my fault.
I wasn't going to lie because Matt Barnes is my nigga.
That's what I'm trying to tell you.
Like, when you have that, because Matt Barnes is my nigger,
and you're right about that.
But when you have that hair like Matt Barnes do, you got to punch niggas in the face off the top.
You got to make sure.
You got to make sure they don't.
Yeah.
You got to go over you.
Mac bars let you know from the jump, I will punch you in your face.
Matt Barnes will get on the highway, drive 217 miles to kick Derek Fisher ass about his kids.
You got to let niggas know that light skin and got that type of hair off the junk.
don't confuse me with the other niggas with this hair so then so then russ need to just take a road trip
man my boy too matt my boy too matt my boy said that's it i had to go see by my kids okay
yeah that's a fact so i did that's a great example mason i was a real great example but matt barns
a punch you in your face from your jump so there's no confusion about it yeah so that mean
russell wilson like i said earlier he needs to take a road trip russe if you watch this maybe you need to just
go pull up on champagne and get some get some straight now see the whole thing about it
let me let me the whole thing about it and no disrespect and i don't want to get too much of
the people's personal business or anything like that but russell lucky they can't take a road
trip or him playing with people kids and changing their last name and everything else so
PC and what was it free people pre seer and after see whatever initial
right yeah yeah yeah that's crazy change the kid name is crazy right but i'm in my my business you know
yeah me too yeah me too yeah well i think on that note y'all that is all the time that we have
today this is a great discussion today a lot of football a lot of good topics a lot of good
think pieces so in the comments down below let us know what you all think Mike you know it's always
a pleasure to have you on the show and always good
And killer, I only missed it. It was our first day of church. We started a church in Atlanta. We started over. So I had to go to that. It went really well, though.
Yeah, let everybody know where it's out so they can come see you, man.
Congratulations on that, me. Oh, yeah. We started in Buckhead, it's 3535 P Street Road. And it was so many people. It was just crazy.
Yeah. Well, congratulations, man, to you and the family. I know you've been working hard on that for a minute. So I'm happy for
you brother yeah yeah congrats i love hearing good news it's all good things for everybody love
to hear it but thank y'all for watching and as always it is what it is
Besides, two big necks, like when they doing them two for five.
