But since we're talking about finances and child support and divorces and where money should go, just out of curiosity, Spank Wharton, what is you guys' opinion on that? And at what point are you like, you know, I'll give a chick some money.

How are you going to say no to Derek Rose getting MVP and say yes to Damian Lillard if he gets a chip for sure? So, Cam, what do you think about what Pat Bev had to say? I think Pat Bev chose Damien Lillard on several different occasions. This isn't just like one time Pat Bev says something about Damien Lillard. Not just, maybe not necessarily on the podcast or social media, but there's been times where I remember, I can't even remember what team Pat Bev played for because he played for a plethora of her teens,

but he was shooting a free throw, Damian Lillet, and he missed it. And Pat Beb wasn't even playing, he was hurt. He's on the side of a lot laughing like, ah! And, you know how Dame Tom, Dame does the Dame time thing. He was laughing, teasing him, talking about how he dame time? And making fun of the situation,

Dame missing a free throw, game, but Dame Lillard sent Pat back home in the playoffs. I'm not sure if he's done it more than once. When Sin talks about it, I'm going to Google and then find out. But I know when Dame Lillard talked about him, when he asked him about Pat Biff, he said, why am I talking about somebody I sent home in the playoffs? I think it was actually Paul George, too, who was part of teasing Damien Lillard. He said, I actually sent him home in the playoffs too, actually.

So pardon me, two people that he sent home in the playoffs. Well, let's stick to Patrick Beverly. Does Damien Lillick care what Patrick Beverly says? I doubt it. I really doubt it. Now, one thing about Pat Bev, you know, he's a defensive specialist. And Pat Bev's story really, he really needs probably a mini documentary on his story. You know, because we sit up here and we, you know, not saying necessarily make fun, but we say what we see.

And sometimes it comes across harsh or sometimes it comes across rude or ignorant. and it isn't nothing personal. If you're averaging a single, single, you're averaging a single single. Some things that you do don't come up necessarily in the box score. But I think that Pat Beav's story is amazing.

You know, this is a guy who led not Chicago, the state of Illinois is scoring averaging 37 points as a high school senior, averaging over 37 points. After 307 points, after 13. 37 points, he doesn't get recruited by any, and he gets major D1s.

End up going to a D1 school. Doesn't get drafted. It has to go overseas to play for four years. After he goes overseas to play for four years, he gets drafted to the NBA only to get cut, to go back overseas to end up eventually in the NBA probably five, six years after he originally finished college. And then still ended up having a decent career. So I get Pat Beb.

And not only that, he's a Chicago nigger. So you got to understand Pat Bev's journey, and for him to have the career he had, it's truly amazing. But, you know, I don't think you're in a position to say Damien Lillett's not a Hall of Famer. Not saying that you don't have an opinion, because we all have opinions. We all get to say our opinion.

But Dame Lillard, you know, he's Logo Lillet. He's Dame time. And I get what Pat Beff is coming from also. You ought to realize he said, Dame Lillard, you haven't been to a championship. You haven't won a league MVP. When you play against Steph Curry, you get bumped, et cetera, et cetera. So it is a great argument to have.

But the reason I'm saying it like that, because Pat Bev may have an argument. But I'm just saying from Damian Lillard's point of view, I don't think what Damian Lillard cares what Pat Bev has to say. But I think a lot of people should look more into Pat Bev's story because it's truly an amazing story or how he got to the NBA. And everything, you know, that gives you an idea why he was so testy or feisty because he had to fight to really get there. But as far as him saying, Damian Lillard isn't a Hall of Famer,

I feel where he's coming from. But it's a tough choice because Damian Lillard's really getting us a lot of people who haven't won a championship that went to the Hall of Fame. Now, another thing I'll say is this. Another key point is now that I'm sitting here thinking about, I'm thinking while I'm talking, now we have Hall of Famers who don't win the championship, right?

We'll think about Carl Malone, we'll think about John Stockton, we'll think about, of course, Charles Barkley, we'll think about AI. We'll think about Patrick Kuhl. We'll think about Reggie Miller, right? Everybody we just named, though,

went to a championship. They didn't win it, but they went. And Damien Lillet still hasn't went. It's a great argument. I'm not sure about it. And Patrick Kewen? You said that. I said Patrick.

I don't think you said Patrick. I actually did say Patrick. All right, well, I didn't hear that part. I don't know. I know you there. What I said, Patrick. It's on you, brother. Dame Lillet, how many years y'all think he got left before I answered this?

How many more years? About four? Maybe if that. Maybe he doesn't want to play four. I heard him talk about retirement before, and this was a couple years ago, not saying he was ready to retire, but you got to realize just on Portland, he's probably made over, and I ain't probably, we had Googled his contracts that.

I'm pretty sure it's over a half a billion dollars. Jesus Christ. Just with Portland. He keeps getting the max to max finally left, then come back. So his money is not money a problem, necessarily a problem. I remember talking to him, and he wasn't talking about retiring, but he's like, shit, it ain't far, nigga. And this was not a couple years ago.

So I'm not sure how many years he has left us about how many years he actually wants to play. We've seen him just won the three-point contest all-star weekend. So he's already talking about next year. He wants to get Clay back in it and stuff curry back in it. and revived the three-point contest, so we know he's going to play again next year. I'm not sure, because we know Portland isn't in a position to actually win anything,

and I think he's going to finish his career in Portland. But let's just think about who's on Portland. Let's just think about are they going somewhere in the West? So how long does he want to play? How long does he want to deal with that? I say by nobody being on Portland, he's going to get more shine anyway, and I was just going to bring up the three-point contest, the man can still play.

I would give him about maybe four more years without no crazy injuries. So I think I want to see a little bit more first before we speak Hall of Fame. But Patrick Beverly, I do think he cares about what Patrick Beverly says because Patrick Beverly is a very vocal person. And a lot of times, right, in the times we live in,

we don't want to hear people say anything about us. And I think that's a little crazy, because people have opinions all the time. But I think he cares about that. And I think it's too soon to talk about Hall of Fame with Dane. But he's super nice. Yeah. Okay, so on to the Grizzly.

So they ruled out John Morant for this season because of the UCL spring in his left elbow. So Grizzly said Tuesday night that Morant would need a plasma injection to aid with the healing. And they expect Jha to make a full recovery in time for next season. Cam, what's just your opinion? Okay, Sin, because he was already making him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The reactions, some faces, some noises. Sin, we've actually never got your full opinion on Jha in general.

So what are we thinking about it? My opinion on John Morant was he was a very exciting player to watch. What my problem was was people was moving him and comparing him, and not just the people in this room, but comparing him to Alan Iverson. You have to wait to be compared to somebody like that. And I think people just get so excited, even about Jordan Poole. Everybody was Jordan Poole. What was that, like three, four years ago?

Everybody was Jordan Pool list. Oh, Jordan Pool Ice Bikes. And Jordan Pool, Jordan Pool. I got tired of hearing his name. And now where is he? Not saying that he's not good anymore, but it's like, yo, a person has one good season and you're ready to throw him up there with the greats. And I just think we can't just keep living in the moment.

And as far as John Morant goes, I don't know why that kid keeps getting hurt. You know, he's a talent. But let's leave Alan Neverson, D. Rose, and West. broken all these people away from him. Let him be Jiamer and that's that. So you want to be, you're on the child men? It looks like you have a problem with it. Do you want to say, sir?

Why did we compare him to Alan Ivers? I don't know. We didn't say he was going to be followed with footsteps. We compared him in the style of playing how they play. This man said, you're almost sent Steph Curry home if he wouldn't have got hurt. So now you're a wizard. Yo, you're changing topics now. I'm just telling you.

That's what he said. We talked about John Moran. Yeah. He was saying he almost sent Golda State Home if you wouldn't have got hurt. He would have. How do you know that? Are you a wizard, my nigga? Are you a psychic?

style of play, how he gave everything, how he would always be falling, how he played with heart just like Alan Iverson. It was just a comparison. Nobody said he was going to be like Alan Iverson. Just a comparison, son. Do you not believe in player comparisons? I do, but not so fast. Not so fast. It took Kobe years. It took Kobe years to be compared to Mike. He wasn't compared to Mike his first, what, four or five years, maybe on his fifth year. But, It took years to get there. And I'm not even talking about the first year that he didn't get no playing time. Or maybe the first year and a half.

It took a while. So they'd be like, yo, this motherfucker remind me of Mike. Oh, that's a little Mike right there. He ain't Mike, but that's a little Mike right there. That's what I mean, give him some time. Nick, I had one crazy season. And niggas just like, Alan Iverson. And I'm like, oh, wow.

Yeah, I'll take him over D. Rose. What? Like, are y'all niggas crazy? So I get a little frustrated. So when you're saying, like, for instance, right, when you say it took a while for Kobe to be like Mike, which I agree it did, did. Did Kobe get rookie year to year?

Was he finalist for a rookie year to year? I don't remember. I actually don't. They actually didn't. Because Kobe wasn't that good at his first year. Yeah. Ivan, pardon me, John Morant was supposed to get rookie year. It came in second to Zion, even though Zion got hurt.

They was right in Zion's wave. And John Morant was very, very good, his first couple years. Back to your other. about... But I obviously ain't got rookie at you, you know? Yeah, I understand that, but you've talked about Kobe. You can't pick and choose whenever... See, that's your thing.

You want to bring up Kobe, then when I say something about this, then you want to go here, then when I say something else about John Moran. But what about Rush and Westbrook? Okay, John Morant this. What about Will Chamberlain? You bring up any player that's convenient for your argument. You take Kobe so I can pick Kobe to John Moran. Now you're back on the opposite.

I'm trying to talk with strategy. I'm saying, man. I understand that. Okay, no point. fraud strategic. But anyway, what he's referring to be is that a few years ago, probably John Moran's second or third year, probably his third year, I believe. If they're second or third year, they were up on Golden State. Memphis was being was up on Golden State, I believe, two to one, something like that. And this was when Jordan Poole was actually playing. That's what I'm

saying, these arguments all over the place. Jordan Poole actually hurt John Morant and John couldn't finish the series. So then Golden State went on to win that championship, not just beat Memphis winning the championship. John Poole was a big part of that championship. Actually part of the reason to keep them in the playoffs to go to the championship. So when he says, oh, y'all got to wait, y'all got to wait.

I totally agree with what he said when you got to wait. But if you see somebody having the same kind of close rookie year that somebody else had, cool. If they're doing flashes on YouTube of the same moves that John Moran, Allen-Ovison is doing, And you say, yo, it's flashes or Allen officer. You can't get mad at the word flashes. He gets mad at, you got to wait and see, you got to wait and see.

And I'm not, I fought y'all pick R.J. Barrett. You understand what I'm saying? Y'all ended up, luckily, ended up getting Jalen Brunson, which is phenomenal. But John Morant was super-duper good, and I believe a lot of his off-the-court activity hindered him from being great. Not only that, the injuries as well. But at the end of the day, it ain't about being a wizard. I was saying that they probably could have beat Golden State that year because there's up.

You're saying all year from last year next going to the championship. They didn't go to the championship. 40 season started. You said they going to the championship. Whatever. You said this year to go championship. Yeah, this year.

Yeah, but you're not. But you're not a wizard. How would you know that? That's what I'm saying. Because I want them to meet my expectations. Okay, there you go. It's prediction. It's okay to say that.

But you're acting like it's not okay to say that they could have won. I think ruggedness is a skill, too. You always say John Moran is hurt. Y'all know Alan Nervison played in the Sweet 16 with a sprained ankle, limping, still kicking ass. That's mental toughness for me when we want to talk about mental again. You know, I take all that and put it in one package. Anyway, like I was said, since he's lost up.

Because you see flashes of a player within the other player, that means you're not, that doesn't necessarily mean you're comparing saying that they're going to be as great as that player. You say they'd have the potential to be good like them. If it doesn't pan out to be that, it doesn't pan out to be that. I totally understand that. But you can't say and say John Morant's rookie season wasn't sensational. He shouldn't have got rookie year.

They were just rioting Zion, and they gave it to Zion, even though he missed a plethora of games. So back to the original topic, I just want to chime in on what he said. John Morant, I'm very disappointed, man. You know, just somebody who has another sensational story, almost didn't get drafted. The only school that offered them a D1 scholarship was Murray State. Kills for two years at Murray State. Gets drafted number two overall. Has a sensational rookie season.

It has a great another season. You know, he's going back and forth to the point where he's getting into it with Draymond Green and everybody don't go to the state because they were a legitimate threat. Desmond Bay, the senator that they had there that got just traded to Utah. Jared Jackson said they suddenly just went to Utah? Yeah. Yeah. their drama rate, listen, they had a sensational situation.

And they flushed and they messed it up. Messed up. So I have nothing to say. Of course he's going to shut it down. Memphis ain't going nowhere this year. I think Jaylon, pardon me, Jason Tatum won that came back if Boston wasn't in the race to possibly win. You know, we'd sit there and think about Kyrie Irvin right now

because they're like, where's Kyrie? And I'm like, if I believe Kyrie would have tried to come back if Dallas was in contention of making the playoffs, a good playoff spot. Why rush back if you're not 100% or even close or even if you are close to 100%? Why not just fully recovered during the summer and come back fresh next season? If you know your team isn't going anywhere. And I think this situation with John Morant, the problem with John Morant is that this is happening way too often than not. We're not talking about basketball anymore with John Moran. We're talking about guns. We're talking

about injury. We're talking about is he going to stay on the Memphis Grizzlies before the trade deadline? It's everything else but basketball. And even though trades is part of basketball, I'm talking about the spectacular shit that we used to see in the morning of court. So it's a really sad situation to watch. Because during this time, other players have ascended. Jalen Brunson has ascended.

Anthony Edwards has ascended. I don't remember, if y'all remember, when Jai was doing the gritty, and he was like dancing after. He was son of Anthony Edwards home that year. That's the year he said Anthony Edwards home. People don't remember that. He was grittier in on them niggas.

But now these players over these three, four years that all this stuff has been going on, has ascended. You have Wimby there. You have Chet. You have Shea who popped off. You have Jalen Brunson like I just named. You have, what's my nigga? We just talked about I don't know why I'm fucking forgetting his name.

Cunningham, you have. That's ascended. We have Lucas still dominating how he's dominated. We have Joker still doing the shit the Joker's doing. These names are outweighing what John Moran can bring to the table, and it's going to be hard for him to get back to where he's at, especially with players, ascending the way they are now.

Yeah. It's a sad situation, especially like when you're a competitor, you want to be part of those conversations, and he really should be, especially given his age and just, like, knowing what his potential is. But I feel like the conversation, as of lately,

has been a lot of what his potential could be. But then you trade, like, I was saying, like, pieces that were kind of part of that court, just like, what is there for him to do? And then he's getting shut down. So, I mean, it'd be interesting to kind of get in his mindset and head, but I know we're not going to get those answers anytime soon at least, but hopefully sooner than later because it's...

Just to chime in what you said. I remember it was probably January before the trade deadline and Houston was playing Memphis and Katie was arguing with his father. He said, this is your last weekend in Memphis, so you enjoy it. Yeah. Because y'all getting traded next week. Right? That's when you got Kevin Durant in the middle of a game while somebody shooting foul shots telling John Moran's father,

enjoy your last week in Memphis because you're getting shipped up out of here that's where the topic is for John Moran you know what I'm saying so you know between him and Zion it's possibly and I can't say for sure because you know you got the San Buoys
