Starting point is 00:01:10 Come on, it's been too long. We should have been at a million. If you ain't hating, why are you waiting? Hit that button, man. We got a great show for you guys today. And I'm about to turn it back over the killer. Welcome back to It Is What it is. My partner.
Starting point is 00:01:25 My man, Dollar. murder, y'all know him is Mason. Today we're joined by one of our special guests, but a friend of the show. Trista, what's going on? How you doing? Trish was good. Killer was going on, man.
Starting point is 00:01:40 Everything good. Trish, how you been? It's been a little minute, man. I know, I know. I'm in San Francisco. I went to the Super Bowl, kind of a snooze fest. I'm still here, down to L.A. for All-Star.
Starting point is 00:01:54 And, yeah, just parlaying. What's been going on? you at these days. We know you back in Portland, what you've been doing? Where we could find you out, man. We've been looking for you. NBC, Meadow Arc, and hopefully, I think, I don't know if I can announce this. Nick told me this is what's happening, so I'm not sure if it's 100% true. Am I on Tuesday mornings after Super Bowl now? Well, being at you with everybody, we just had to make sure your schedule is available.
Starting point is 00:02:21 But, you know, it's basketball season. You're all over the place, man. So we have to make sure that you is available. but, you know, we love to have you back every week. So hopefully this will be a reoccurring thing for the rest of the basketball season if you're available. So we're doing it live. Yeah, and you look like you got the boyfriend glow.
Starting point is 00:02:41 You got a boyfriend, pause, you know? It's the money glow. It's the, that's what happens when you're everywhere. You tell them to pay you every time you're everywhere. I did tell NBC, though, when I heard from Nick, I said, Hey, do not book me for Tuesdays. I've got something important to do. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:03:00 We really appreciate that, man. So in your eyes, money and boyfriend go together, I guess, because they're unilaterally. They're interchangeable. No, I think I like money. I think money's a lot less complicated than intimate relationship. And probably you could ask Defon Diggs the same thing. And you would probably say money is more important than.
Starting point is 00:03:24 than the ladies. Well, I think he felt like that. Being that you brought that out, we're going to start the show with that. Stefan Diggs and Cardi B unfollowed each other on Instagram after Stefan Diggs brought one of his side chicks to the game. Trista, what do you think about this? Well, I think Cardi B just posted today that they had been broken up for a minute
Starting point is 00:03:50 and she just didn't want to say anything, probably because she didn't want to add, your distraction. I think that was kind of nice, not saying, hey, we're not together anymore, getting him ready for the Super Bowl. They even asked her, I think ESPN on the red carpet, the weekend of Super Bowl, hey, do you have any special wisdom or words of advice for your man? And she just kind of deadpanned ESPN and was like, good luck. So I think her and Diggs have sort of been on the outs. I don't know if that was after he ended up getting some of girl pregnant and she just kept it on wraps. I don't know if there was other straws.
Starting point is 00:04:30 But Stefan's a wild boy. And I think that's been the case since he was in Minnesota. I remember when I interviewed him, they asked him, hey, if there's, they asked all of his teammates, excuse me, what teammate would you never let date your sister? And I think it was almost 100% of his teammates said him. So this has not been new for Stefan Diggs. I don't think it was cool for him to bring another woman, even if they were broken up when she was in the halftime show, though. I think, like, there's been some rumors that that was his best friend, which you guys know what's up with the best friend.
Starting point is 00:05:08 I'm sure you guys have best friends that you've, that are more than best friends. And I don't know, it's just a weird situation. But, yeah, that's all I got to say about that. Mace. Yeah, I think when it comes to Stefan Diggs, he played it right. Whatever you're going with, you got to be honest about this is what I'm going with. Sometimes things change and you're going in a new direction. Businesses going a new direction.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Women going a new direction. And sometimes fellas going a new direction. And I look at it like that. You know, we love Cardi B up here, you know, love Nikki Minaj, everybody. But I think when it comes to this situation, we might have put too much stock into Stefan digs when it come to the relationship, you know. I like to keep it on sports, and if we're keeping it on sports, then this is his football game. He could bring whoever you want to the game.
Starting point is 00:06:04 He doesn't owe Cardi B anything like that. I mean, when you think about it, she was like, you know, still technically probably married when he got her pregnant. So his idea is like, you know, I mean, how much thought can you put in another married person? Like if it was a woman, right, and she got a husband, the dude can't really put all this stock into her. I mean, I mean, Kenny? I think I said it a little bit wrong because I'm kind of tired this morning,
Starting point is 00:06:43 but just think about that. Any person has somebody that they're married to, if it was a young lady and this guy was married to somebody else, she can't put all of her eggs in his basket because she already know he's taken. So I think she kind of overplayed it. You know, there was rumors that it was a million dollar party. And, you know, just, it's just, she invested too much, I think.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Sometimes you can't invest too much in people. Not in the beginning. You got to let people show you that they're worth their investment. Yeah, first of all, what I'm going to say is I'm going to call CAP when it says they've been broke up, P. I'm going to go with CAP. Yeah. Because the reason I say CAP is because we just seen her on the field during the interview. Was that the AFC championship?
Starting point is 00:07:34 You was just on the field two weeks ago doing an interview at the AFC championship. Then all of a sudden we've been, no, no, no, no, no, no, we're not doing that. It just was on the field at the AFC championship. I don't know if you've seen it today. I was talking to my publishers. and we, you know, she was saying, you know, congratulations, call me, we told me something else, but she called to say congratulations. You made Billboard's top sports list this year again, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:08:06 So thank you to Billboard. And I was like, okay, who else is on there? And she's like naming some people, she's like Cardi B. And I said, wait, wait, wait, no, I'm talking about the sports part. She said, no, Cardi B is on the sports part. I said, what are you talking about? This worked everything I love. You got to check out the Billboard.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Billboard thanks, but I don't even know how to feel about the shit. So I said, what's going on, read it? So she read it. Cardi B has made appearances at the AFC championship game or football games, and they named some other places that she's been at sports related. And I'm like, but it was all around Stefan Diggs. You know what I'm saying, everything that they was relating for how to even make a sports list. When we up here five days a week,
Starting point is 00:08:56 trying to do our motherfucking job, niggas just do-do-do-do, do, do, do, I'm here with stuff on things, no disrespect, and now you on the billboard top sports list? Shit is wow. I don't know how they're judging these lists anymore, but Cardi B's in the top sports list, which is probably a slight to other people
Starting point is 00:09:17 who didn't make the sports list, who do sports, three, four, five, six, seven times a week. So we'll start there. She's in the top sports, whatever category it is for Billboard. I don't know how y'all are judging. But for her to say that they've been broke up, you ain't been broke up.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Don't go Ben. You could go broke up. Don't go Ben. Let's leave Ben out of it. Because you just was at the AFC championship game. Talking about he been working hard. y'all. He's been doing his thing. You know, you know, he practiced.
Starting point is 00:09:54 And it's the dedication. Y'all don't see the dedication. The dedication, that's what's there. Y'all don't see that. This was two weeks ago. So I don't want to, the word Ben is out. I'm not Jack and Ben. Broke up? Okay, cool. I feel that. I'm not going with Ben. Secondly, did you see the new bitch he had, though?
Starting point is 00:10:14 Stuff on Diggs? New bitch crazy, yo. She's tough. Yeah, she's tough, man. She's tough. I don't know if she could rap dance or whatever else she got going on. New bitch is tough, man. And it's like, yo, what I feel like wearing a day?
Starting point is 00:10:32 You know, sometimes you want to show off with that chinchilla. Or I'm not saying that Cardi ain't a chichilla, but she's like a nice lover. I'm just, it's dependent on what you feel like wearing that particular day. When it comes to Sophan Diggs, and this is no slight to Cardi B. Cardi B, no, I love her. That's my home girl. I've seen a while, but I love a like cooked food. But what I'm saying is this, when you get into a relationship like this,
Starting point is 00:10:55 knowing that this guy has different girlfriends and so on and so forth, not just different girlfriends, different baby mothers and babies that's on the way, including one from Cardi, if I'm not mistaken, right? Yeah, of a son. Right. So you know what you was getting into. Before the show started, we was actually talking about this. And I'm like, look, first of all this.
Starting point is 00:11:15 You have to respect honesty. And I don't think Stefan Diggs is lying. to any of these females. I think he's, and I don't know this for a fact, but I think he's very honest. I think he's very open about, look, I have another baby coming on white. I know niggas just high babies now.
Starting point is 00:11:29 I know, I know niggas who ain't tell the girlfriend or they have a baby mother about a baby that they had or about to have. So you got to respect his honesty. That's first and foremost. Secondly, after a certain age, or at a certain age,
Starting point is 00:11:46 when you're somebody like Stefan Dick who's probably in his prime, age, football career, et cetera, et cetera. He's doing what he like to do. You know, he's not ready to settle down. It doesn't seem like it. And if you don't have that conversation with him, like, look, you're going to settle down and not,
Starting point is 00:12:03 and if he doesn't tell you yes, you can't get mad at that. You know what it is, Pete? It's called assumption. When you're assuming you want to get the best seat. You know what I'm saying? Y'all, I'm fucking, I'm fucking 20 times plat. So you're assuming that that's your seat. Right.
Starting point is 00:12:24 But then you're like this for that seat. You get what I'm saying? So my point, that's my point being, is this. You know what you got into when you got in this relationship. Secondly, if you don't communicate, lack of communication destroys the nation. If you don't communicate properly and say, yo, make sure that bitch don't be there.
Starting point is 00:12:42 I wanna be there. If you don't have that combo, you can't assume that you're gonna be in that position. That's my personal opinion. But look, I think, I think, yeah, also happy, all said it. What did he post? Offser did he post something.
Starting point is 00:13:01 Another one bites to dust. Yeah, yeah, another one bites to dust. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. What you think, Pete? Home game, away game, same result. Yeah, yeah, yeah, another one bites the dust, man. I don't know what Stefan Diggs was doing much different than Offset was doing.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Yeah. No, he was doing it differently because he... Okay. Stefan Diggs was ruling with an iron fist. You know, he lets you know, this is what it is right now, you know. Offset probably could have got the same thing, but he went about it too smooth. He had to put his feet down. You know what...
Starting point is 00:13:42 You know, that's a good point, Mace, is that a lot of girls say, if you would have kept it real with me. Yeah, I could have handled it. Yeah, yeah, but sometimes I'd be cat with certain niggas. Certain niggas, they just say letting him get away with that. But they'll let the next nigger get away with that. You know what I should have been frozen, you know? Right.
Starting point is 00:14:02 When I was doing it, I was frozen, you know? They know it was no emotion coming from me. Like, you said him back when it was, I made dollar. Ice cold. Ice cold. Ice cold. Like, give me an example of what you talking about. No way.
Starting point is 00:14:15 There's no way. Give me an example of a girl that makes it. I want to be your girlfriend. What would you tell them? Tell her that, you know, there's people that got that job already, you know. I got a two o'clock. You could be at three o'clock, but I'm probably not going to make it on time. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:36 And would they accept that? You got to. It's too many. It would have been too many to think he can dodge all of them. It's like you're going to get away from. three of them, but you get caught by about... I'm talking about two. Would they accept that from you?
Starting point is 00:14:50 Yeah, yeah, yeah, because I lead with it. I lead with it. Some guys leave with their pocket, you know, so I was leading with that. It's like, sweetheart, it's not realistic that I'm going to be with one person. Right. Does somebody ever try to fight for your love
Starting point is 00:15:06 and say, come on, man, how long are you going to do this? Yeah, all the time, but they know. It's people you know you can lock down and there's people you know you can't lock down. Got you. I feel that, man. I remember him.
Starting point is 00:15:19 I remember. I remember. Yeah. A man was, a man had a revolving door up there with St. Nichol. Right there on 157 for St. Nichols. Yeah, I had to move it to Riverside. You know, he got too crowded, you know?
Starting point is 00:15:38 Operation to Riverside, man. You know, you know, the part that used to have me bugged out murder? when you was that person, is that I used to love it for you, but I wasn't on yet, not. And I wasn't on yet like that. But the reason I respected it from you, and it was for you, but it's almost for like me too,
Starting point is 00:16:00 is that all the girls, you used to get back, all the girls, they used to distance in high school. And I see it. I used to see them come in me, and I'm like, look at you. Look at you. To change your mind. I used to be like, look you up. I can't believe that.
Starting point is 00:16:20 Yeah, she used to talk crazy. Hey, Cam, get the fuck on out here, man. Go hate cam, me now. Get your ass on the fuck out of here, man. My man, murder, did what he had to do? Going out of here, man. Oh, my jeans dirty. You know, that other shit, man.
Starting point is 00:16:40 But listen, man, good luck to Cardi B. Good luck to Stefan Diggs. Hopefully, everybody worked this out in the future, man. But Cardi B's about to go on tour. Stefan Diggs got a lot of years left. I know there's a tough loss in the Super Bowl yesterday, but he'll bounce back. And I'm pretty sure he'll be all right.
Starting point is 00:16:59 He'll be around some nice ladies to make sure that he will be all right. So the overall consensus, was it an upgrade on the front line? Pete, what you think, Pete? As far as what, the upgrade on what? Like? The female. The swap out. Faw's.
Starting point is 00:17:16 Shorty's tough. I say, yeah. We can't go just on looks. Cardi B is super talented, very sweet, has all kinds of other things on top of her attributes physically. We don't even know this, girl. Well, listen, Trish, this is what I'm going to say, right? Because you don't know her why you don't think that she has attributes
Starting point is 00:17:37 just because you're familiar with Cardi B. How do you know she's not talented? Yeah, how do you know she doesn't, She doesn't have something to bring to the table. I don't. I'm just saying we have to take all of it into consideration. And we know the Cardi B was up there with Bad Bunny. We know that she was sweet.
Starting point is 00:17:57 And if they've been, well, if they have recently been broken up. And Stefan Diggs was just talking about wife and her. If Cardi B was just kind of like a Corolla, then he wouldn't be talking about I need to get this ring and then she can get a ring and then I'm going to be locked down. I don't think Stefan Diggs drives Corollas.
Starting point is 00:18:20 I think everything on the dashboard is 200 and up. I think it's only Ferraris, G-wagons, Cullinens. I don't think there's no corollas in the garage. So we're going to leave. We're going to start there.
Starting point is 00:18:33 So we're not going to ever call Cardi a Corolla. No, I just, I don't think so either. Yeah, no, no. I get what you saying. But according to, to my brother because I didn't see the girl. He's saying that she looked good. But what you're saying is this, right?
Starting point is 00:18:48 And this is the thing that women do, which I don't want any woman bashing coming to, I'm not woman basso, I'm not coming at me. You know what I'm saying? This is what goes on murder for females. And Trish just made it obviously and abundantly clear, right? Mm-hmm. We know Cardi B.
Starting point is 00:19:05 Yeah. We know our music. And I'm not talking about Cardi B. I'm just using her, for example. We know her music's. We know she's talent. We know she can rap. We know all this stuff.
Starting point is 00:19:16 But do you know when the camera's not off where Stefan Diggs may be going through at home? Do you know what's happening? Just because you can sing, rap, dance, and break, and do a headspin, do you know what I'm dealing with? Y'all don't see that. You know what I'm saying? And sometimes I think that's why, for me, for me personally,
Starting point is 00:19:38 I wouldn't do another public relationship. Because no matter what, they take the female side. Yeah. It doesn't matter what happens. And I'm just, no, I'm not talking about me. I'm talking about I've seen it time and time and time and over. Over again. I'm not talking about me.
Starting point is 00:19:53 I'm talking about a nigger. Anytime. Anytime. There's a female. I've seen this couple, right? I'm not going to say names because they're too well respected by me to even bring them into it. The girl said, look, I wasn't really even doing that. And I was just over there partying.
Starting point is 00:20:10 It was a fucking, it was a Halloween party. I went to the party. I wasn't with them. And then the next two days after she say that, she's seen twerking on the niggins. We thought you were just partying. Well, it's no big deal. She can't, then here go to comments the girls.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Oh, she can't twerk on the nigger? Imagine what the nigger did. You don't even know if the nigger did not. She ain't just doing that for no reason. This is what the girls do. They just start making a-valid them. Yeah, they start making it. Yeah, they start making it.
Starting point is 00:20:40 up imaginary shit that happened. Well, you don't know what this nigga did. She just wouldn't be trucking for no reason. So the women stick together and I respect the women sticking together. D-Ray Davis had made a joke about this years ago when he said, you know, females always stick together. Niggas, we don't stick together as much as females stick together, even in music. He was like, you know, when you sit there and think about music,
Starting point is 00:21:08 like Beyonce made a song, oh, my son. single ladies, all my single ladies. You're never going to hear, sir. All my single niggas, all my single niggas. D. Ray Davis said that. And he's right. We don't stick together as much as the ladies. Like we, you know, following the joke up,
Starting point is 00:21:33 he's like, one of our niggas is depressed over a few. We're like, this bitch-ass nigga. Hey, yo, come on, let's go get some bitches. You all moping around. on this shit. That's just the nature of niggas as opposed to where females stick together more. So like I said, I hope everybody gets it together
Starting point is 00:21:48 and good luck to everybody moving forward because I know one thing, it's a lot of kids on the way from what I'm hearing. And I actually had to take on this. I said that I was envious, what, two weeks ago actually. Actually, after the AOC championship game, I would say how envious I was of Stefan Diggs and how much
Starting point is 00:22:08 control he had over this situation. And it seemed like he still got control. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'm not saying he don't. I just was saying that I was saying the statement how much he had control over the situation. And I didn't, I hated that that I didn't, like, have this much control over females that he did. And of course, I was exaggerating. But makes you think he still has control over this situation?
Starting point is 00:22:32 Yeah, I think he does. Because realistically, it's like until a woman can do better than you, you still got control. She could say what she want But if she can't do better than Stefan Diggs, Stefan Diggs still can call her and be like, yo, we're going to work. You know, let that go. You already knew I had a baby mother.
Starting point is 00:22:52 It's not like you can't trap Stefan Diggs Because you already know he's a wild boy. Pause and that's what I mean by leading with the truth. When you lead with the truth, she know what it is. She can just agree to stay or leave. That's her business. Gotcha. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:23:09 So moving on, Trista, it's looking like the Dallas Cowboys are going to franchise tag George Pickens. What do you think about this? It's just one of those scenarios as a Dallas Cowboy fan. I honestly saw this topic and was just, I was just kind of sad. It sent me into a little bit of a mini sports depression because it feels like every year. Every time I come up on this show, there's something that Dallas is doing that makes you say they'll never get right while Jerry's still there. George Pickens was a wide receiver that I think a lot of people are very skeptical of coming out of Pittsburgh, right? You're like, well, if Mike Tomlin can't get him to get together, then what's it going to be over in Dallas?
Starting point is 00:24:05 And he was awesome. When C.D. Lamb was out. George Pickens was the guy, and Dallas's offense was rolling, was one of the top offenses in the NFL. In fact, I could even make the case that George Pickens is a better wide receiver one than C.D. Lamb, and you saw it based on the quarterback play of Dak Prescott. The type of wide receiver that George Pickens is, it really fits the style that Dak wants to play in a little bit better.
Starting point is 00:24:32 You saw that with Michael Gallup when he played and he was held. healthy a few years ago before he ended up getting injured. And I don't even know if he's in the league now. But so you, you take a guy who is a game changer who clearly has immediately, immediate chemistry with your quarterback, who you've paid $60 million a year and you mess around with his money. And you know what George Pickens is like when he's upset.
Starting point is 00:24:58 He throws tantrum after tantrum. He gives up on routes like his name is DJ Moore. And to me, it just doesn't make any sense. You didn't want to pay Micah and you ended up having to trade him. And so you've got some extra money laying around. Maybe give it to George Pickens. I just don't understand what Dallas is doing. I never understand what they're doing as it relates to paying players.
Starting point is 00:25:20 They wait and wait and wait and wait. And they end up having to overpay them. And it's exhausting. It just feels like the same discussion every time. Yeah, I think when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys, they often make this same mistake. like you're saying, they end up overpaying, like you said, because they're waiting because they're being passive, aggressive about the situation. If you see this team, you know this team
Starting point is 00:25:45 hasn't gotten it done for the last four years. This has been the same crew of people. Just last year, they made a few alterations to this team, but this is completely the same team that we've been looking at lose year after year. And every year has been like, oh, they're going to turn it around this year. It seemed like the same mistake that some people are making picking boyfriends. It's like you're just picking the wrong people and you're investing way too much. This is this is Jerry Jones out of his best. Now, if you, if you're a person that need to get paid, the Cowboys is where you want to be because Jerry seemed to pay the people he like. It doesn't seem like they're playing to win. It seems like they're paying people to keep relationships,
Starting point is 00:26:30 You know, and I understand that. And the Cowboys franchise, everything is more about family and things like that. You got to remember, this is the same organization that brought back Elliott, right? And Elliot wasn't playing well. And they brought him back and gave him a contract. It seemed like it's more about the family.
Starting point is 00:26:51 And I like that for him if that's what he want to do. He want to be good to niggers, you know, pause. So I understand that. But at some point, Come on, my nigga. Why was that a pause? Why was that a pause? Because I was talking about he wanted to be good to niggers, you know?
Starting point is 00:27:08 It's a valid course. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I just get mad at all, y'all, man. Y'all, y'all, you, maize, Trista, I don't know what y'all people want James Dolan and Jerry Jones to do. Y'all want everybody to get paid. They get paid.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Then we don't win. It's never going to win for us as long as they're the older of the team. Everybody y'all want to get. get paid, gets paid, and then you blame Jerry Jones and your brain James Dolan, it starts at the head of the franchise and the owner and the dead and the teeth. And that's why the franchise is never going to go no way. I understand, Tristan. I don't even know how you became a Dallas fan growing up in Portland and then living on the East Coast.
Starting point is 00:27:50 I, well, let me, how'd you become a Dallas fan? Let me get to that first before I get my take. So this was in the early stages where it was Aikman and Emmett and Dio. and it was just flash. And I was about eight. My sister had a boyfriend who was from that area. They would watch Cowboys games together. I idolized my sister.
Starting point is 00:28:14 I got really excited feeling like, oh, wow, this is a team that, you know, Portland doesn't have an NFL team. Seattle's not really, we don't really root for Seattle teams. That's like a big misnomer. So I kind of fell in love with Dallas and we've never been good sense. And so I thought I was going to ride this dynasty for the rest of my life and instead it's just been misery. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:28:37 That's crazy. Well, what do you mean with me? I'm not talking about paying them. I think they're paying the wrong people. Okay. I thought you was trying to get on Jerry Jones basically and say he's running like a family business, which, you know, we know that his kids are involved with the organization. So I thought that's what you were trying to allude to.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Oh, no. Okay, sorry about that. What I'm saying is this, is that. Whether he waits a while to pay somebody over pays them, whatever it is, people get paid. And he doesn't win. And then they say he's a bad owner. I don't think, I don't know what else you want. Like, you know, you sit there and say he didn't pay Michael Parsons.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Michael Parsons leaves. They wasn't good with Michael Parsons. Michael Parsons, you know, he had all these individual stats that made him, you know, look good and so on and so forth. But they didn't even win the division. It's like, yo, I keep paying, niggins. and I don't win. You know what I'm saying? That's the problem for me.
Starting point is 00:29:34 When it comes, same thing with James Dolan, you know, you won it fucking Phil Jackson. You want it, Carmelo Anthony. Shout to Melo, that's my nigga. You want stuff wrong, you want Isaiah Thomas coach. What this thing? And then when niggas don't win, they be like,
Starting point is 00:29:48 James Dolan is a terrible owner. Yo, my nigga, I work on Wall Street. I'm down town on Wall Street. I hire the niggas that y'all tell me supposed to be these basketball officinados, that know all this basketball, and they can't give me a championship. It's not my motherfucking for.
Starting point is 00:30:06 See, that's the difference I would say between James Dolan and Jerry Jones, is that James Dolan's not jumping in the media after every game, giving his commentary, so on and so forth, saying we need to do this, need to do that, so and so forth. His money is on Wall Street. That's the problem I think that people have with Jerry Jones is that soon as the game over,
Starting point is 00:30:24 when loser's joy, his face is in the camera, and he's given his opinion. And some people are saying that he's, He's been there too long dictating. They need to let his son run the organization, so on and so forth. But I get it, man. Jerry Lake, let me ride this shit to the wheels fall off, man. Now, as far as franchising George Pickers, I agree with you, Tris.
Starting point is 00:30:45 I thought he was the number one receiver all year long, especially when CD Land went out. You know, I had this argument with Michael Irvin, because you know Mike Irvin's a big CD Land fan. And I'm like, Mike, man, the nigger looked way better than CD Lamb this year. man, he looks really, really good. But, you know, you want to pay this, nigga. I want everybody to get their money.
Starting point is 00:31:05 Yo, my nigga, give me a couple years, nigga, give me two years, let me see what you working with. I know you did good this year. You've been there for 23 hours, and you want me to give you the big check, which I'm not saying he isn't worth it. He looked really good. I'm totally agreeing with you, Trisper.
Starting point is 00:31:20 How many niggas I got to pay? I'm paying Dax 60. He can't give me to a fucking NFC championship game. Mike are trying to charge me $18 billion. I'll go to Greenback. See how that work out for you. I'm tired of Jerry Pairn everybody and not getting the championship.
Starting point is 00:31:37 And I get that the fans for these organizations are mad because y'all are finding a reason to blame somebody for not winning. Everybody in Dallas outlet is Jerry Jones. His management. He never does it. No, I think that's a great quarterback. I think he's a really good quarterback.
Starting point is 00:31:57 back. The defense isn't good as it once was, you know what I'm saying? And then you have this high, high-powered offense, and then you don't have a really good defense. Then you try to make moves before the trade deadline. You know, Mike Irving was up here again. Watch, yeah, man, watch this miracle care of shit about to happen, this, that, and it doesn't happen. You know, you have a salary cap, so you're spending all this money on offense, and then you're trying to get money for defense, but you want these offenses players want astronomical numbers. So how much money can you spend on defense?
Starting point is 00:32:32 We just seen the defense win the Super Bowl. We just seen it with our own eyes. So I'm not saying that you don't have a right as a fan to blame Jerry Jones. You may know more than me. I'm just giving my opinion. But as a Dallas Cowboy fan, I digress. I think you're right about the fact that you have to have
Starting point is 00:32:54 a balanced approach in order to like pay players. You can't just pay one side of the ball. A thousand percent agree. The one thing I think Dallas fans are upset with Jerry about, or at least I don't know who's responsible for this, but the scouts and the organization have largely been the same the talent evaluators for like 25, 30 years. And I would ask Mike about this more than me
Starting point is 00:33:22 because he knows a lot more about what's going on the building than that. That's that family-oriented atmosphere that Mace was talking about, where they haven't hit on a defensive player besides Micah in like the last five, six years outside of maybe like five, fifth, six round players that like kind of popped. You got the Seahawks getting Nick M. and Worry, that's hard to say. And he comes out and he was like one of the players that was a sleeper for Super Bowl MVP because their defense was so good when they got them. think a lot of it is a talent evaluation. When you can't find somebody in the draft, then you have to overpay them by trading for
Starting point is 00:34:02 them or trying to figure out if you can't hit on them in free agency. So to me, a lot of it comes from the bottom up. Gotcha. Yeah, this entire team is just, it just need to be revamped. I don't know why we keep trying to pay people. You got to fix one side of the ball at a time. I think it's very beneficial to just focus on a defense, right? Get a solid defense.
Starting point is 00:34:29 I think the Jets even try to do this. Where they had a stellar defense and then they went after Aaron Rogers. Like we said, we just saw this in the Super Bowl, so then it's something we know works. They don't have a superstar quarterback. They had a proficient quarterback, but I would say Sam Donald just played his part while the defense did everything they're supposed to do. You got to have a stellar defense to win the championship in the national football league or to have the best chance to win.
Starting point is 00:35:02 So I think when it comes to Dallas, they've always had when they won high-powered offense and they had defense. So I would say that you will follow that formula. Every time they have Romo, they didn't have the same. So that's where they changed. So if you're going to give all this money to Dag Prescott, why not give them the other pieces to win? I think the offense is good.
Starting point is 00:35:27 They don't have the defense. The offense is good, man. Moving on, the Atlanta Falcons are expected to release Kirk Cousins. Man, that's a sad situation. Trista, what do you think about this? I don't know what the Falcons are doing, man. They just got Kevin Stefansky there. Kevin Stefansky had Kirk Cousins as his quarterback in Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:35:53 He gets there and like five seconds later, they cut Kirk Cousins or they're expected to cut Kirk Cousins. And I know that he's expensive. You talk about expensive. I think he's like getting $67 million if he's on the roster by March 15th or something like that. And I get it. You don't want to pay that money for a guy who's 37 years old.
Starting point is 00:36:12 But your franchise quarterback is on his third ACL, tear and he says he's good to go for the start of the year, but I'm not so sure. And you've got a new coach with a new system. Michael Pennix wants to play in shotgun. This this coach doesn't want to do that. He wants to have his quarterback under center. And we've seen that be friction with his quarterbacks before. We saw that with Baker Mayfield and how he treated him. We saw that with Deshaun Watson, how he treated him. We saw that with Chador, how he treated him. So to me, it feels like Atlanta is a little bit rudderless. I'm curious what they're going to do to find a backup because I'm not so sure what
Starting point is 00:36:54 Michael Pennix is going to be in terms of his health. So Kirk Cousin says he's ready to go. He's rejuvenated. He wants to still stay in the league. So I know it's a money decision, but I was just a little puzzled that this was the first order of business. Yes, I was. And I actually think, you know, being in Atlanta, day after days sometime, just, just,
Starting point is 00:37:17 looking at the culture, it's time for things to change. If you're going in a new direction to keep the old quarterback, it's not going to allow you to go in a new direction, even if you're trying to work with Pinnix. If you're going to give them the shot, you got to really give them the shot. And part of giving them the shot is removing the shadow. So, you know, this is your team, Pinnix. The ball pauses in your hand and take this team where it needs to go. And sometime when you put the ball in a person's hand, they become a better player. We're yet to see if that'll pan out for Atlanta Falcons, but that's what that, that was the first order.
Starting point is 00:37:54 If you're going to take this team in a new direction, we've already seen what Kirk Cousin can do. If that wasn't beneficial, it's no way we, we're pumping $60 million into the same outcome we got for the last two years of what he could possibly do, but he never does it. This is the same thing we're looking at with Prescott, like where you perform well, right? but we don't win. So I don't count that as performing well. I start with the wins in Wintersville. Man, I love Kirk Cousin.
Starting point is 00:38:27 I like when he's on a plane doing this shit with the jewelry. Oh, yeah, that was fine. I fuck with Kurt Cousins, man. I agree with Mace and I disagree with Mace. I agree with Mace where if you're trying to cut the salary, cut cap and how much he's about to get, yeah, fuck that. He's getting paid a lot.
Starting point is 00:38:45 But then I agree with Trista. because Pennix is never available. He's always getting hurt. And if you're going to get hurt and you need a backup quarterback, I think Kirk Cousins is great backup quarterback to have a case of emergencies. But I also give him Mason saying,
Starting point is 00:39:01 you don't want the shadow over you. Listen, Penix, you don't have no shadow if you stay healthy. You're never healthy, bro. You're always getting hurt. And if you're always getting hurt, I need a decent backup. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:13 I need a decent, nigger. And listen, you want me to go get some nigger that's whack so you feel comfortable than when you get hurt, you be like, yo, we removed the shadow. We got Joey Noompson from around the corner backing you up. Pause. Her cousin's a bee. I'm talking to stay up.
Starting point is 00:39:33 What guy? No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying you're not going to pay your backup 60 million. I understand what you're saying. That's the point. We can keep him as backup, but we ain't got 60. for that. Well, that's the contract negotiation.
Starting point is 00:39:47 And I get it. Kirk Cousins may be like, pay me what you're going to pay me, but if they're going to end up releasing them anyway, you're not going to get all the bread. They're going to work something out to be like, we ain't got to pay you, this, got to pay you that. I don't know the details. So don't quote me.
Starting point is 00:40:00 Yes, you just quoted. What I heard of quote was that if he's there by March 15 or so, that they're going to be on the books for the 60. So if we're on the books for the 60 in March, and I'm not sure if I'm starting him, I can't let him stick around for the 60. I totally understand that. But if I'm Kirk Cousins,
Starting point is 00:40:20 and I mean, I have a starting job anyway, I might be like, I'm willing to work with you. Yeah, if he wanted to work, he can stay. Yeah, but at the end of the day, man, listen, bro, I'm not going to put my trust. I like Pennix when he's available, but I can't trust him. You know, I've seen the shit today.
Starting point is 00:40:39 Not convenient it is that Anthony Davis is out for the season right after he gets, traded to the fucking wizards. The nigga got hurt on the way to the kitchen. Niggins said, I'm out for the season. They call the nigga A&D. Ointman all day. I've seen the shit on the motherfucking crew. The nigga name is A&D.
Starting point is 00:40:59 Ointman. I couldn't believe it. But, Pennix, I'm not calling you A.D. But you got to be available, man. So it's sad to see Kirk Cousins go. I like Kirk Cousins a lot. But I think you'll find a job somewhere as a backup quarterback, man. Look, we're going to go to break.
Starting point is 00:41:14 and when we come back, we're going to come back with Bill Belichick's girlfriend trolling Robert Kraft. You know what's crazy? I still don't know her name. I just call a Bill Belichick's girlfriend. Yeah, she's definitely made a spot for herself. Well, what's her name? Bill Belichick.
Starting point is 00:41:33 Jordan Hudson. Here we go. That's why we got you here. We'll be right back, y'all. It is what it is. Jordan Hudson. Murder tonight, the Dallas Marvellous. are playing the Phoenix Suns.
Starting point is 00:41:57 Underdog has Cooper Flagg at 22 and a half points higher or lower. Hmm. I would say Cooper Flag got to get more than 22 because this team he's playing against, this is the future of what he's going to be up against. All of these players are not going anywhere anytime soon. So you got to get more than 22, but I don't think he get it. When you got Dylan Brooks, I think Dylan Brooks is going to be stingy. He's been doing good this year.
Starting point is 00:42:29 So you're going lower? Lower. Okay. Underdog also has Devin Booker at 23 and a half points, higher or lower? Devin Booker got new sneakers, 23. I'm going higher. I'm expecting an old book to show up. Book, you got to show up.
Starting point is 00:42:48 You can't keep making me look crazy, book. Okay. You got to show up. He definitely got short. Yep. And last, the person you just named Dylan Brooks at 20 and a half points, so you're going to higher or lower? I'm going higher.
Starting point is 00:43:02 Dylan Brooke is, he's upset about not making an all-star. He's upset about them playing with his name. They forgot how good Dylan Brooke was. Killer, you forgot how good Dylan Brooks was. He was getting major points when he was in college. And he came to the league and wanted to play defense. but I'm going higher. What school did he go to, Mason?
Starting point is 00:43:26 What school did he go to? You say I forgot about him in college. What school did he go to? Come on. I'm mad. I don't know. I'm asking. Killer, you don't know?
Starting point is 00:43:35 You don't know. Oregon. He went to Oregon. Mighty duck bucks. Go on. Of course I know my players. This is my family, man. The mighty duck bucks.
Starting point is 00:43:51 You caught that one. I knew I was waiting out. I was waiting for you to slip up. Dylan Brooks has been playing really good this season with the Phoenix Suns. Make sure y'all download the Underdog app and make your picks. Now look, sources are saying that Mark Cuban getting with a private investor company to try and buy the Dallas Mavericks back. But Patrick Dumont is saying that he's still interested in the Dallas Mavericks
Starting point is 00:44:28 and is really excited about the Cooper Flag era. Trista, what do you think about this? Man, it's been a tough road for Patrick Dumont. You get there, you buy the team, and then you get finessed to make probably the most catastrophic decision trade-wise that's ever happened in the NBA. And now you've got 16-year-old kids trolling you. You've got your GM getting chance to be fired.
Starting point is 00:44:58 You have to fire him. You got to get rid of them. And I don't know if the Dallas Mavericks fan base will ever get over this. I don't know that they'll ever be able to move on if Patrick Dumont is there. So to me, it feels like, yeah, I'm sure he's excited about the Cooper Flag era. I think a lot of people are. But the fans are still pissed. The fans feel like they've been betrayed.
Starting point is 00:45:24 And I'm not sure if that energy and excitement that was a. the Dallas Mavericks with Dirk and with Luca will return until you at least get rid of him as owner. And I know that feels like really rash, but the fact that there's even whispers that Mark Cuban's going to come back makes me feel like there's some reality there, that it could possibly happen. And then when I'm thinking about that, I know Mark Cuban is a massive fan and a supporter of Luca. he always has been. And that was kind of one of the reasons that people were so upset with Cuban is because he protected Luca, he catered to Luca, just like a lot of owners do for their superstar.
Starting point is 00:46:08 So if Mark Cuban were to come back, to me, it feels like he would do everything in his power to try to get Luca back. And I know that sounds crazy, but I'm in Portland. And Damien Lillard is now a Portland Trailblazer again. And I could see that happening in Dallas if Mark Cuban and where to come back. Well, I think them getting rid of Luca is just, it's just the worst, like you said,
Starting point is 00:46:35 it's the worst thing that could happen. It feels the same as seeing Patrick Ewan on the Supersonics or just every trade that you're like, this doesn't go. I know you're excited about Cooper Flagg, but you would have had Cooper Flagg even if you didn't trade, Luca. So I think this is just a, um, a hard. horrible, horrible trade. And I think when it comes to this particular situation with Mark Cuban, the quicker they could get Mark Cuban back, the better. They'll have even more fans. I think
Starting point is 00:47:11 there's some people that are not interested in the MAVs, and they've been lifetime Maverick fans, but because of the direction that everything is going in, you kind of don't know where everything is going. Now they didn't trade Anthony Davis. So this was what we were. we got back for for luca now we don't have that i'm i'm not sure where they're going and i and i don't like it i don't like it at all i haven't been to one dallas game since they made that trade how many games were you going before they made the trade murman per year a few i started going i see you one that's why i was asking about yeah per year probably like four or five okay and you're not going not going
Starting point is 00:47:57 I think that the reason you're not going, Sham isn't there, which is part of Mark Cuban being there. And that was part of the tickets that you were getting. Oh. Hey, come on, murder. Just come on, murder. He is there, too, then.
Starting point is 00:48:11 Yeah, but Sham wasn't getting your tickets for you? Or you was paying for tickets. Sham got my tickets. I ain't going to secret code it. Okay, yeah, Sham got me the ticket. You're acting like I'm trying to. I don't know. That you was giving up my connect.
Starting point is 00:48:29 No, well, listen, man, we all know. First of all, this is my opinion. Shout to Sheriff Guard, our brother that's in Orlando now. But I think if Mark Cuban was there, the Sheriff wouldn't be going either. And I don't think that Luca would be going if Mark Cuban was 100% owner still. I think that a lot of things...
Starting point is 00:48:46 And Jason Kee wouldn't be cursing. Yeah, absolutely. I just think that a lot of things haven't gone right. Actually, I think that Tristan last year when you was on this show, If I'm not mistaken, I don't want to say brain fog, but I'm not sure if it was you, but I believe it was you. As you was telling us this family, the DuPont family, they're more than they're gambling, if I'm not mistaken, right?
Starting point is 00:49:07 And what they were, right, and they was trying to take the team to Vegas. And the NBA wouldn't let them take the team to Vegas. Then they're trying to build a casino in Dallas, around the casino. It wasn't going on. Around the arena or something, and that didn't happen. So to me, I don't think that this is their main focus. and I'm not saying that they're not interested in the Dallas Mavericks, but I think that this was a lick for them to make more billions of dollars,
Starting point is 00:49:31 like, yo, we get to Dallas to Vegas and put the casino around it. I think their thing is more about making money and casinos than the love of the basketball organization to where even though Mark Cuban does a thousand other things, I think he really loves the organization of the Dallas Mavericks. So when people see him possibly coming back, they know that the team will be in good hands when lose a draw because he actually cares. And listen, Tristler,
Starting point is 00:50:01 I didn't even think of that scenario that you laid out. Mark Cuban coming back to Dallas and Luca contract being up and he ends up coming back to Dallas, that would be amazing. I didn't even think of that scenario, so you're thinking about maybe a Cooper flag with a Luca if Dallas, if, pardon me,
Starting point is 00:50:19 if Mark Cuban comes back, that's a wild scenario, man. But it would cost him money. And I don't know if he wants to miss out on more money. That's the one thing that fuck Luca up to me, trading him right before he could get the max. And I was still have an attitude about that. They would have to make that up on some Coah Leonard shit.
Starting point is 00:50:41 That shit did that nigga. He took a job for $62 million on the side for two days or some shit. Steve Barmer gave that niggar, a side job for $39 million for six hours. He was planning saplings in Inglewood. Right. That was what he was supposed to be doing. How much was it? 29 million, 30.
Starting point is 00:51:00 Yeah, I think so. Didn't plant a single tree, but he definitely got the bread. Right. And that's what y'all going to have to do for me if I'm the Dallas Mavericks, if y'all want me to come back because y'all cost me a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:51:12 Then if I leave Los Angeles, Lakers, it's going to cost me more money. But I do like that scenario. I really do, man. So we'll see how that turns out. Moving along, look, Bill Belichick's girlfriend. I still know as Bill Belichick's girlfriend. Trista actually knows her name.
Starting point is 00:51:30 Trista, real quick, what's her name? It's either Jordan or Jordon, but it's spelled Jordan Hudson. Yeah, it's Jordan. Hudson. Killer, I know what I know, killer. I can't act like I don't know what I know. You know what I'm just trying to host the show and you pissing me off. I got to know what I know.
Starting point is 00:51:54 I just asked you her name a few minutes ago. And what did I say? You didn't say nothing. I did. I did. I said Joyne Hudson. Yo, Nick, Nick, Nick. Listen.
Starting point is 00:52:08 I know, I know who the lady is, killer. I know her. Let me stay in character. I'm trying to do my shop. I'm not even supposed to be opinionated. I'm not even supposed to have an opinion. I'm here to moderate. You know what?
Starting point is 00:52:28 It's my fault. I'm sorry. Yeah, because if she's lost, I'm supposed to be the expert to know the chime in with the information that's not there. It's Jordan Hudson. She's a scientist, a researcher, and she specialized in studying zoology, you know?
Starting point is 00:52:44 Okay. I asked you this five minutes ago. Okay. That chat, GBT, is a motherfucker over there. She works fast. That's what fast is a motherfucker. No, my phone is black. It's nothing there.
Starting point is 00:52:56 You got a big computer right there. You're mad, can I do my job? You're raised baiting me. I'm trying to just do a job here. It's nothing on my computer. Look, look, come on. Get it naked. So the whole computer cap?
Starting point is 00:53:13 Yeah, it was just for the look. Come on, man. I'm sorry. You know what? I'm absolutely sorry, man. Yeah. Jordan what may I pronounce it? Jordan Hudson.
Starting point is 00:53:23 Jordan. Jordan. Jordan. Jordan. Jordan Hudson was trolling Robert Kraft, Robert Kraft, wearing the massage parlor that he got, basically the name of the massage parlor he got arrested in a couple years back. And, you know, this all comes a couple weeks after Robert Kraft.
Starting point is 00:53:49 and Bill Belichick did not make it into First Ballot Hall of Fame. What are you getting out of her wearing this shirt? We'll start with Trista. Sex. That's pretty much what you're getting out of it. You're not getting anything good in terms of your reputation. Let's be honest. We're kind of like, oh, maybe not, maybe not, child.
Starting point is 00:54:14 Maybe you guys are better than me. But me and my friends are whispering to each other about Bill Belechall. Belichick. We are like, wow, she's either given it to him in ways and in duration with techniques he's never had before, or he's starting to lose it and it's borderline elder abuse. Because ultimately, I think his reputation has become such an embarrassment due to her being around and controlling everything he does. We saw that 60 Minutes interview. She tried to take over. She's everywhere. UNC is a bad situation. They don't really want her around. She's like his shadow or his publicist slash manager slash caretaker, caregiver. I don't know what's going on. But I think a large part,
Starting point is 00:55:13 or at least a piece of the reason that Bill Belichick isn't a first ballot hall of famer, is because his reputation has been tarnished by her, not because of Spygate, but because of everything that has gone on since he left there. And even when he was in New England, she was up in the stands. So I'm not really sure what he's getting out of it other than her continuing to be appeased and pleasing him.
Starting point is 00:55:42 What gate would we call this one? What gate would this be? It's like you got a spy gate. Good question. Yeah, you got to make up a gate for this one. Rub and tug gate. Happy ending gate. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:56:01 I think, I think, yes, his entire reputation is as declined. From the moment that they got together, I think we're talking about she's trying to take over. I believe in the relationship, she's already the leader of the relationship. and we're late to the party. I think she already got this going the way she wanted it to go because if you think about it, she was already on the field.
Starting point is 00:56:28 You don't just start out doing that. You have to know you have access to do this. I think women know the men they could do this stuff too. And for some reason, she knows that she could do all of this. And we're late to the party. We're like, Bill step in. She's like, there is no Bill. I am the one running this entire show.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Bill is doing, like the women used to say, wrapped around a finger. That's what this is. So now she got the shirt on, and maybe she's trolling his ops, right? Maybe she's now being young-minded and just saying, you know what? He had a problem with Robert Kraft.
Starting point is 00:57:06 They didn't part ways the right, you know, on good terms. And it's a little bit of get back. I won't do it. She's doing it. She's younger so I don't look as messy. That's a good point, Mason. I didn't know what to really make out of it. I just think the bill, both of you all said,
Starting point is 00:57:23 he just lost full control. And I don't think that Bill minds it because I don't think he fucks with Robert Kraft like that. I don't know if y'all seen Tom Brady roast, but it was really awkward when they were like in the room together. Like, you don't really see them around each other. There's both at Tom Brady's roast. And it was really awkward to have the both of them around each other.
Starting point is 00:57:45 But it's a good point, Macy. You know what I'm gonna get that off. Because it's one of them says, you really want to say something, but you can't say something. But if somebody else, this in your circle says, son, you're not gonna go against it.
Starting point is 00:58:00 You know what I'm saying? He didn't tell her to take the sweater off. Right, exactly. So it's one, yeah, and if he did, I don't think he can control it. To Tristan's point, I just think he lost all control. But to troll Robert Kraft,
Starting point is 00:58:17 I don't really get it. You know, I don't know, and I don't know the inside. It may be a whole backstory that we don't know about any of this stuff between Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft. But maybe he told us some shit to wear, she may be like, I know how to handle this. You know, just randomly, you know, put on the name of the spot that he got caught in a handjob spot unless she used to work there,
Starting point is 00:58:44 had an old t-shirt. I don't really know. Maybe she used to work at the spot. I don't know, murder. But I just don't get it the time in this kind of. So you said maybe he was a client? No, what I'm saying, I'm being funny, but what I'm saying is,
Starting point is 00:59:02 you don't just randomly have one of them. Yeah. Let's just think it's called Sue Lynn's Tuggies. You don't just have a Sue Lins Tuggies shirt around. You got to get that. made. So I thought the time in was kind of weird, but nothing surprises me with this situation with Bill Belichick and what Jordan and who Jordan? Hudson.
Starting point is 00:59:24 Jordan Hudson. I think really, to me, my final take for we move on with the situation is that she's doing something to Bill that other women haven't. You know, a lot of people when they get older, not just older, they have fetishes. And Bill may like, his feet tickled. You know what I'm saying? He may be sitting in a hot chair and a parent-bed home. You don't know what kind of role plays
Starting point is 00:59:55 and what sexual fantasies some of these people have. And I think whatever fantasy she has, he's fulfilling them. I have a friend, pardon me, I knew somebody. He's fulfilling it. Yeah, I'm not going to say,
Starting point is 01:00:08 I don't know what you call him, but I have a friend or somebody I knew or somebody I know. I don't even know what to label him. But his feet fetish is crazy. He said, Cam, you don't put your meat on the feet? He said, you got to put your meat on the feet. I said, I said, you know, he said, I don't know, man.
Starting point is 01:00:28 I wasn't against it. And then I wasn't against it. He sent me a clip of a girl giving a nigger handjob with the feet on it. It looked like a lot going on. It looked at fun. But it's called a foot job mixed with a hand job. And I haven't tried it yet, but everybody got their fetters. He said he couldn't do it without the girl feet on his meat.
Starting point is 01:00:52 So we don't know what Bill, pardon me, Bill Belichick is getting in the house. Whatever it is, it must be great. Last before we wrap up real quick, Jason Tatum is doing five-on-five drills. Trista, murder. Do you think Jason Tatum should come back this year? Or should you think, or do you think he should wait until next year, And it's a two-part question. If he does come back, how dangerous would the Celtics be this year?
Starting point is 01:01:18 Trista will start with you. You got to come back. This is nine months. He's already doing five-on-five. And the East is wide open. Jason Tatum is the missing piece. This Celtics team is already rolling. Jalen Brown is already balling.
Starting point is 01:01:35 They've figured out a way to get a guy that I is a rookie from Europe. Hugo Gonzalez, he's been awesome. Peyton Pritchard has been balling. And this coaching job that Joe Missoula has done is so impressive to me because this is supposed to be the gap year for the Celtics. And this could actually be a year where you're looking at OKC and how many injuries has OKC had this year? It feels like every other day somebody's out.
Starting point is 01:02:05 Now She's out with an oblique. Jalen Williams is missed time. Lou Dord. continues to miss time, Hardinstein, Chet, they're a hospital wing over there. So if you can figure out a way to get Jason Tatum back into the mix, right now, pretty much right after All-Star Break, and have a couple of months to acclimate him, get him back into playing shape. When the East is as wide open as it is, that's the reason to me that the Cavs got James Harden, as they said, nobody really has it. Nobody's really the favorite. Yes,
Starting point is 01:02:39 Detroit's a top seed, but do we trust them yet? Not really. Yeah, the Knicks are supposed to go to the finals, so says James Dolan, but they went on a losing streak and their defense doesn't look right. If the Boston Celtics can find a way to reaclimate Jason Tatum in in a gap year, they could end up winning this whole thing and that could end up propelling Joe Mazula as to one of the best coaches in history. That's a really strong take. best in history, but I'm going to digress. I'm going to stick with the focus. When we're talking about, yeah, when we're talking about this Boston team, this Boston team has been rolling, right? But again, this is what I already knew. I told y'all that Jalen Brown is Batman.
Starting point is 01:03:28 So it didn't surprise me that they ended up doing as well as they did because this is what I already knew. Is this what we're going to get every, is this is this what we're going to get every, is this what we're going to get every Tuesday. Yeah, the basketball guards just made it with. Yeah, I told you Tuesdays. I like that. I like that title, actually. But when you think about Tatum coming back,
Starting point is 01:03:51 I think if Tatum's come back, they definitely win it and they could possibly win it all. But if he doesn't, I'm really excited about this Cavalier team. After one game, just watching the fourth quarter of watching Donovan. Mitchell and James Harden together, it looked like us in the pickup game. And back in the days, like, who you want to beat you?
Starting point is 01:04:17 It pauses, it's that kind of offensive power. When you got those type of explosive guards on separate ends of the wings, it's going to be extremely hard to stop. So they better get Tatum back. If they don't, it's a cavalier east coast. There you have it, man. Trista, thank you so much for joining us. We'll see you again next Tuesday.
Starting point is 01:04:41 And congratulations on all your other endeavors, NBC, so on and so forth, man. We miss you again, and we're really happy that you're back. Yeah, and I like the boyfriend glow. I like the boyfriend glow on you. It's good. It's not the boyfriend glow. I just want to say it's really owed to you guys. You guys have put me on a platform and a stratosphere that is just great.
Starting point is 01:05:04 And I owe a lot of my success. and I owe a lot of really just kind of my career and the glow to y'all. So I'm happy to be here. As long as you'll have me, I'm here. Thank you, man. We appreciate it. But with that being said, it means you also new freestyle before the season's over.
Starting point is 01:05:20 We'll give you to the end of March to get together, but we'll be looking forward to that. We'll see you guys tomorrow, man. For me and murder, it is, but it is. Salute.
