Starting point is 00:00:58 What's good, bro. How you doing? You're chilling, man. Chilling, chilling, chilling. How you all doing, Statt? How you doing? I'm good. I've been working out, doing yoga. Like, we're on a routine. It's good. You working out? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:15 That's good. It's good. It's fun when you enjoy to do it. So, yeah, glad to see y'all. Okay. Oh, man. Gonna get into some basketball. So it's finally confirmed. Jason Tatum will play this season, and he's expected to make his return today versus the map. So Mace, how do you think he'll fit back into the rotation?
Starting point is 00:01:40 How do you see this goal? Man, I'm just excited for basketball, realistically. If he comes out and he plays anywhere remotely close to how he's normally playing, this should be a phenomenal season. I look forward to two. MVP's, man. If he, if he come back even close to Tatum rare form, this is going to lead to two MVPs for Jalen Brown. So I'm happy for that. I'm happy for his success. And I'm happy for Elam and the whole Tatum and everybody else that's a part of this. You know, when he wins,
Starting point is 00:02:18 the whole family wins. So shout out to him and the whole St. Louis. And I wish him none but at best. I hope we have a really strong recovery. And I hope. hope he plays even better than he did before. Oh, he looked, man, this is, further of all, congratulations coming back so quick less than 10 months after the injury. We can't expect a lot from him in this first few games. I think Joe Missoula is a really, really great coach, and he'll use Jason Tatum wisely, pause as far as his minutes are concerned and working him back into rotation.
Starting point is 00:02:54 I think this is a great time to come back. because think about it, it's 19, 20 games left in the season. This way you're not rushing back to come into the playoffs and say, after perform well for the playoffs. This gives you a nice sample size of what's left. You know, basically you're saying you have 20% of the season left. So therefore, you don't have to do too much, even though right now, you don't have to do too much.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Worson's in second place. Jalen Brown is looking really, really good. And like I said, shout out to Joe Magula again for the phenomenal job that he's been doing coaching. actually my coach of the year if I had to vote right this second for the job he's doing considering all of the things that transpired in the offseason for the Celtics. But I think this is not a better time than right now to see where Jason Tatum's at, what he could do, and we're nowhere near the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Not saying we're far away from the playoffs, but we're pretty close to the playoffs and working them back in that rotation to be great. I wouldn't be surprised if Jason Tatum doesn't even start tomorrow or start the next few games, Just get them back in the field of the game, running up and down. You know, it's one thing practicing. It's another thing playing game speed. So congratulations to him. But this will really tell us where Boston is at when the playoffs come around.
Starting point is 00:04:09 As far as the East Coast is concerned, we're talking about the East Coast. Nobody has more championship experience than the Boston Celtics team right now. So this puts them in a great spot currently right before the playoffs start. So, Mace, you kind of made a face when he said that would be his pick for a coach of the year. Do you disagree? I just, you know, I just need us to stay on topic of what we're talking about, you know. It is early in the morning, you know, and I just need us to stay on topic, you know. Now, you put LMA in it, bro.
Starting point is 00:04:48 If you don't have no substance to your take, I don't, I can't help that you have any substance. I don't know, if we're going to stay on topic, I don't know what LMA has to do with it. I suck everything basketball. I don't know what his family and LMA have to do in anything. If we're staying on topic, I was just trying to figure it out. I kept the sports. I just didn't see if Nick was going to throw the bubble at the top. Yeah, Nick, you don't like that bubble, man.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Nick throw the bubble up I told Nick He can't do it now He can't do it now I told Nick that he might get Doc behind that So don't do it anymore I told him
Starting point is 00:05:39 I told him behind the scene Don't do it Hey Nick So this is what I like Nick If you're gonna put his as a thumb up When I speak Just put a thumb down on the bubble That would be great
Starting point is 00:05:53 I'm looking for more dislikes it's easy. I'm going to reach out the IG and see if they can make a dislike button. I want a dislike button. I want a thumbs down on my button. That would actually be cool, right? Instead of Nicky's saying they just put a dislike button. No, because we're not. We don't even have dislike buttons now and people already hate a lot.
Starting point is 00:06:26 So I just think that would make things worse. I think that would cut down the bullying, though. You just hear a dislike button, you know, they ain't. Well, to me, I mean, and I know Mace made a made of face, but J.B. Bickerstaff and Joe Missoula, I don't know, just, I know it's a little bit off topic, but those two come to mind as far as coaches of the year. know, to me, just the pistons and the Celtics, I don't think either one I'm expected to be where they're at.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Who do you think, Mason? I know this is off topic. Who would you have for, like, your coach of the year right now? No, I like, I actually like Joe Missoula. I was just doing that to keep everybody on their toes, you know? That's great. That's great. Every now and then you got to throw a rock in the water, you know?
Starting point is 00:07:14 That's great. Make sure there's no alligators in their stat. You notice you from Jacksonville? You got to throw a rock in the water. You can't just assume. Not from the alligators. You stay far away and they tell you go zigzag or go straight now so they can't see you with the nose. I don't know nothing about rock.
Starting point is 00:07:31 I wasn't throwing no rocks in the water. Yeah, they tell you to throw, if you live by a swampy area, throw a rock in the water. It's going to let you know if you see the water move like. See, I don't need to figure it out. I would not want to figure it out like that. That's what you would. So confirmation you would choose Joe Manzo. You didn't make a face.
Starting point is 00:07:51 So I was like, if you have another coach, this is a great conversation. Well, we can't go with Mike Brown. We know this. We know we can't go with Mike Brown. But definitely, who's coaching Detroit right now? That would be not. Jay Bicketts staff. Yeah, Biggest staff will be my coach in the year right now.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Okay. He's in first place. Okay. So talked about first place and you guys made some really good points about the Celtics as a whole. And this is going to be a continuing conversation. But now that we know Jason Tatum is confirming back, makes this think this makes the Celtics the biggest threat in the NBA as a whole, not even just East versus Less.
Starting point is 00:08:30 No, no, I'm not going the biggest threat. You'll be putting 10 on 20 for real. Like, we can't give them the biggest threat in the whole NBA, right? You still got Wimby out there. You can't put an injured returning Tatum over Wend. And you can't put them over. She if She comes back healthy. Because they are the champs until somebody dethrone them, right?
Starting point is 00:08:57 So that's where I come from. They're the champs until somebody dethrone them. They're on top of, they're making their way to Titletown. If they get another one this year, we haven't heard of Title Town. But we're going to look into that. If they win this year, then they'll be officially in Title Town. You got to win more than one. You have to win more than one.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Now, I know they didn't like my take last year, and that led to some. injuries because you can't go against the godfather of title town it just doesn't work like that that it doesn't it doesn't pan out well it never does but i would say they're not the biggest threat the biggest threat is still okayc and right after that is it's the san antonio spurs did you say in the NBA or the east coast NBA yeah yeah in the NBA no on the east coast yes if the other thing about this, I'm really interested and I can't wait for this game tonight
Starting point is 00:09:53 because I think it's a great game to come back for, you know, Dallas isn't really where we thought Dallas would be, even with Cooper Flagg. We've seen the trades go on. Kyrie still isn't back. So I think this is a good test.
Starting point is 00:10:07 But it's, oh, that's why I bought up Joe Manzula when I bought up Jason Tatum, because it's him, it's him who's going to have to, so to answer the question, the question is no, they're not the biggest threat. But just giving them a little bit more detail about Boston. You have to think about,
Starting point is 00:10:22 that's why I bought up Joe Missoula. We don't imagine how good they're doing and then you get Jason Tatum back in the line of them and it doesn't go right, right? Because it's not the chemistry that they had all year would not be the chemistry that they have in the last 20 games. So let's say, for instance, you get Jason Tatum back and not wishing no bad on them
Starting point is 00:10:44 and you go 10 and you go 2 and 8 in your next 10 games. You're like, wait a minute, what's happening here? The chemistry isn't right. Not saying that you don't use Jason Tatum. That's not what I'm saying. You got Jason Tatum available. You play Jason Tatum. I'm just talking about the chemistry of the team that they have so far this season has been working.
Starting point is 00:11:05 So that's why I'm so interested in seeing how Joe Manzula uses him paused again because it may not go right now. I think he's a phenomenal coaching. He'll definitely put him in the best position to, succeed but i think if it goes right they're the biggest threat on the east coast because of the championship experience but in the NBA no not the biggest threat in the NBA yeah and even if they go five for five right it's still it's still not as good as they've been playing i don't think they they have the ability to take a step back with this with this east coast the way it is
Starting point is 00:11:43 they they get down the third and four place it changes is everything moving forward. So I think that's something they have to keep in mind. So you're definitely right. I just think it would be kind of weird bringing Jason Tatum off the bench, but that might be something to consider. I mean, even when LeBron came back, he came off the bench. I just think that they're going to monitor his minutes.
Starting point is 00:12:08 Not saying that he's a fucking star. They put LeBron in the G League for like a week. You know, just about to me getting there. And, you know, Stanema, that's the word I'm looking for. Four game standemar back together. I'm not, no way in shape, form saying that Jason Tater isn't a starter and an all-star for that matter. I'm just thinking about Stannema, that's it. But you may be correct, but that's just my opinion that he wouldn't start.
Starting point is 00:12:37 But who knows, we'll see. Yeah, I need that jersey. Whoever got that jersey, LeBron jersey in the G-League is fire. Okay, so now on to the Spurs. We were discussing one, and be a little bit, but the Spurs beat the Pistons, 121 to 106, and the Pistons have actually not beaten the Spurs yet this season. So, Mace, does this cause concern? Or do you think, you know, pistons are just fine.
Starting point is 00:13:05 What do we think? Well, we know whoever comes out of the East is mainly probably just getting to the championship to lose it, right? I don't think the champs come out of the East. Unless it's Boston. Unless it's Boston, I don't think anyone has the pedigree to win the championship. Even if they make it there, right? I don't think they beat OKC.
Starting point is 00:13:27 To be OKC, you're really going to have to be flying on all cylinders. Now, the Knicks could do it, but as of right now, they don't look like they can. So it doesn't matter at this point who comes out of the east unless it's Boston. If it's not Boston, it's a repeat for the West Coast. is a repeat. I don't put too much stock into it. You know, they only play each other twice a year. They're not in the same coast.
Starting point is 00:13:58 So, you know, it's something to think about, absolutely. But I think bigger than that, and I don't want to brush this game off like it doesn't mean anything. Because you only see them play against each other twice a year. You got two young rising stars and Kay Cunningham and Wemby and a young team in San Antonio that looks like they want it now.
Starting point is 00:14:17 Whether they get it now, another story. I think a bigger story or topic is that OKC is four and one, pardon me, one and four against the spurs. And that's the, that's what I'm paying attention to, that they play five times and OKC has lost four times out of the five times. We sit there and we're supposed to say, you know, we got these two seven-foot giants when we're talking about Chet and we're talking about Wemby, and Wembe's just looking like he's dominated the league. It was a time when I remember watching Chetton High School, and he was
Starting point is 00:14:56 the stuff for Curry's camp, and they was like, he's going to be the next one. He got hurt that first year when he got to the NBA, and it kind of became Shea Gilder's Alexander team, and he played second fiddle. I remember they were saying that that was going to be his team, and he fit in great second fiddle. Tremendous, but we don't see it night in and night out.
Starting point is 00:15:16 They played against the Knicks. I'm talking. talking about OKC the other night, and he looked tremendous. You know, 28 points. I forget how many rebounds he had, but he looked really good. And that's what's going to happen, because when I watched the Knicks play, OKC the other night, Mike Brown whole strategy was double team shape. Soon as Shane took one dribble over half court, the double team was coming. And he had to get rid of the ball, even though he still finished with 26 points,
Starting point is 00:15:44 only seven shots from the free throw, which was amazing, considering he was double team, 85 to 90% of that game, other players are going to have to step up because even though the Knicks won lost that game, pardon me, they beat them in every statistical category, whether it's time of possession, whether it's rebound and whether assists, everything but points. So other teams may look at that and be like, yes, that's it. Soon as she gets over to half court, double team, double team him now. Let's keep in mind, Jay Deb hasn't been playing and we're not knowing when he's coming back from that hamstring injury.
Starting point is 00:16:16 but at the end of the day, this may be the success because teams are going to say, we're not going to let you beat us, Shay. Let Chet beat us. Let Dort beat us. Let J. Dub beat us. Let Caruso beat us. Let horses.
Starting point is 00:16:32 You're not going to be the one. So I'm really interested in seeing Chet step up because this was supposed to be the battle for years to come. Not Shea and Wembe. It was supposed to be Chet and Wemby. And right now, Wemby is not even in the back, the conversation with Chuck. Wemby's in the conversation with being the best in the NBA.
Starting point is 00:16:53 So 4-1, the Spurs are against OKC. So I think that's something more to watch than Denver and the Spurs. Okay. So also regarding this Spurs Pistons game, so Wembe had 38.16 rebounds, three assists, and five blocks. And we're going to see how we feel, especially as the season continues. And I know we're saying that he's looking like the best in the NBA,
Starting point is 00:17:18 Are you guys ready to confirm that or you feel like somebody else is right up there, Mace? I believe at this point he's making his way. I'm not ready to crown him as the king pause of the NBA. Right now, he's making his way there. He's putting up the same numbers that Joker is putting up. Joker in that one game, but Joker does it every night. Every night, Joker have that same stat sheet, every single night. So I'm not ready to say that he's the, um,
Starting point is 00:17:48 The king of the NBA. Not just yet. I can't do that. Even with all the new hotness out there, I can't do it. Because, like we said, Joker is doing it night after night. These same numbers. Joker might have 50 and 10. He might have 40 and 15, right?
Starting point is 00:18:06 So these numbers are not abnormal for a center in the West Coast. Welcome to the party, Wembe. Yeah, I mean, it's going to be a minute. But I think what I do like about Wemby this season for some reason, I see the look in his eyes paused that he really wants it. Like, you know, I'm not saying he didn't have it before anything like that. This season, you could tell he wants it. Even from the All-Star game, when he said,
Starting point is 00:18:34 you see him really wanting to win and taking the All-Star game seriously. And then you see him dunking on people and made, rah, yelling in their face. You know, last year we seen that, but then he would walk to the line after he gets fed. You know, now he's ditty bopping to the line. And he's young, he has some time. He's not there yet, but I do like the attitude that he's bringing to the table. I'm not sure if it was him in the offseason going to sit down with the monks over the summer and still instilling that, yo, you that nigger attitude in him, but that's the attitude I see.
Starting point is 00:19:07 You know, he's averaging 23 and a half points. Yeah, he's with the monks all scene, cut his hair off all that shit. You know, so he's averaging 23 and a half points, a little over 11 rebounds. He's averaged in a double-double. I do like the attitude. It's not his league yet. It could be, but the attitude, I like it a lot. But now, not yet.
Starting point is 00:19:30 Yeah, I was going to bring up the haircut. I didn't know he got it from the monks. I thought he was going in a new direction, a fresh start, you know. No, he's with the monks over the summer. and spent time with them niggas and came back this I'm that nigger attitude so, you know, I don't know
Starting point is 00:19:50 what they instilled in them, but I like it, pause. Yeah. We need to send some more niggas with the monks. Yeah, that's what happened. Maybe that would be our necktake. Who do we need this thing with the monks? We need to send Joe L&B with the monks.
Starting point is 00:20:08 Yeah. Maybe he needs his hair cut off, man. who else? George, the whole sixes. We're sitting all those sixes with the monks this summer. Yes. Do you got anybody's stat?
Starting point is 00:20:23 You think we need to add to the sin with the monks there's summer? With the monks, you said, the six years you said, Mbid, Jaw, we would love to see him. Where he needs to be. And that's like, you know when somebody
Starting point is 00:20:39 really needs to lock in because you know with the monks would be crazy. Jail with the monks would be crazy. Just being a fly on the wall with Jail with the monks would be wow. Jai with the monks and he wear that robe and the pistol form on the floor? Crazy. Jai with the monks will be wild. Killer, who's somebody you think needs to go to monks this summer?
Starting point is 00:21:11 Just on top of my head, probably Zion as well. That should be a series. Like, they do the starting five. Like, I would rather watch that, watch people get back into. Yeah, man. Nah, they can't put Zion with the monks. He might see the Asian girls walking fast. He'll be good.
Starting point is 00:21:35 They'll be a lot. And then they would be competitive against each other because they want to see who can be the most locked in. Like, that would be a whole. thing. Or that might be the new thing now that they saw Wembe, you know how it goes. Somebody have success with something. Next summer, somebody else is going with the monks. I remember people was trying to work out with Kobe. Then you see more people working out with Kobe. You're like, man, Kobe got a summer camp. Then when you turn around, you saw Russell
Starting point is 00:22:04 Westbrook. You saw, you saw D-Books. You saw a book there. Then you saw Kai Rhee, you're like, oh, Kobe is even training point guards. But then you see Tatum, you know, a lot of people came out of that Kobe school, the school of Mumba. And now, look at them now, they're doing exceptionally well. And I would say the same thing is true. If it gets out there that people was doing this with a Lajuan, then people was trying to work on their post game with a Lodgewarn. So now the monks is just a new thing to do. And I like this for the NBA. I think more people need to get focused. So even though we're joking a little bit,
Starting point is 00:22:44 the names we named would be hilarious with the monks, especially job with the monks will be phenomenal. Zion probably wouldn't go. He wouldn't go. It would be a whole mental shift. Yeah, I don't think we would. I think he would. You know, he had his little interview.
Starting point is 00:23:05 He said, like, he really does want to play basketball. If you're serious, you're going to do... Yeah, go with the monks. That might be... I think it was realistic. If it was realistic, they need to set up shop over here because I don't think everybody's going to go where
Starting point is 00:23:21 whenby went. Because Wendy went to the home in the mountains. That's where you got to go. That's where you got to go to get this serene, you know? Yeah, but I'm talking about you set up in. That was, that's what a stat said. When the stats said that, that would be such a, it would really be a dope series if you try to, you know,
Starting point is 00:23:41 put it in the mountains. of Colorado and niggas leave to go get wings. You know what I'm saying? That would be a great serious step. I'll watch it. And nobody better take that idea because you know how you start saying stuff and the things start popping up and it's like, oh, inspired by da-da-da-da-da. Like, that's exactly how things go.
Starting point is 00:24:04 So we'll see. Okay, so on to Trey Young. So he actually made his debut for The Wizards versus. the Jazz. The Wizards lost 122 to 112, so obviously we know that this was one game. But, Mace, how do you predict things to kind of pan out for Trey Young, his career and like what he's doing with the Wizards? I think, I think Tray Young is going to be phenomenal with the Wizards, right? I think his, his legacy might be even bigger in the D.C. area, right?
Starting point is 00:24:37 because D.C. is filled with so many A.U. teams and young guards and short guards, right? So he becomes like this spokesperson and this phenomenon that little kids can follow. I think he would be the most relatable point guard that has ever played other than Mugsy Bowl in the city of D.C. I think it would be that much a blessing to the city. And I know Trey Young is going to show up. You know, just the other day they had my boy, Sharif Cooper, getting 18 points.
Starting point is 00:25:13 So I know, I know Trey Young is about to go crazy. I don't know. Like I said, as far as his legacy is concerned, it's hard to say. What I would do is this if I ought to witness. This is what I would do. And I'm just talking, I'm not answering the question I write, because my answer is I'm not sure about where his legacy goes
Starting point is 00:25:33 and everything else because you got to think about this, right? we're thinking about when you think about when you think about Tray Young you think about what you thought was about to happen as far as the Atlanta Hawks organization it looked like he was about
Starting point is 00:25:49 they'd be the East Coast Steph Curry at one point pulling up from half I remember they sent the Knicks home in the tournament and he was at half court rolling dice on the garden floor taking boughs and Atlanta Hawks looked like they were in a great position and then the decline
Starting point is 00:26:05 just started to happen rapidly to the point where you start here speculations of Trey Young is going to get traded what's going to happen here okay let's do this let's bring the Tartre they always mess up his first name Murray in see if that happens that doesn't work out now you end up getting traded to the Wizards which the Wizards have been so irrelevant for so long I can't even tell you where they're at I'm talking about as far as place wise because they're never a conversation the last time we talked about the Wizards. I'm talking about even
Starting point is 00:26:37 not just relevancy as a potential threat is when John Wall and Bradley Bill was there. And then John Wall was going for such a was going so long. It was just Bradley Bill's team because
Starting point is 00:26:53 John Wall was hurt. I don't know about that. I can't say. It's funny that I was watching NBA last night, right? And it's just a little bit off topic, but I'm just trying to say how fastest shit goes, right? I remember John Wall, shout to John Wall, that's my nigga.
Starting point is 00:27:11 So, I'm talking about, like, when we see each other, we're super good. I just want to say this. I remember John Wall coming in to going to college first to Kentucky when he was in high school. And he was like, this kid from North Carolina is crazy. Then in Kentucky, him boogey cousins in the crew, shout to buggy, that's my nigga too. Going to the NBA. And then he was the sensation with the Wizards. And when he was leaving high school going to Kentucky.
Starting point is 00:27:37 He's like, yo, this is going to be the next LeBron James, right? And then I remember that quote because I was looking at this high school highlights. I'm like, yo, what the fuck is this? This is a nasty. It's 360 in windmill? This is high school. And they said he'd be next to
Starting point is 00:27:52 LeBron James. And then I watched prom last night. Shout to Eudanis Hassel another one of my guys and everybody on set announcing the game. And John Wall was part of the team up there. you know, analyzing the game. And I'm like, you're analyzing LeBron James still playing
Starting point is 00:28:12 when you were supposed to be the next LeBron James. And now it's like, yo, and that's when it made me think about Tray Young. It made me think about Tray Young. I'm like, yo, you could be a sensation and you can be out of here just as fast. And I'm not saying John Wall still can't play, but he's not having played. Don't get me wrong. He went through injuries, so on and so forth. But remember he went to Clippers a couple years ago,
Starting point is 00:28:39 and I'm like thinking, Paul George, Kauai, and John, whoa, whoa, that didn't pan out. And this is somebody who was supposed to be the next LeBron James, analyzing LeBron James games, and I just don't want that for Tray Young. Now, if I'm Anthony Davis, or I'm the Wizards, I need to have a conversation with Tray Young about the D.C. area,
Starting point is 00:29:01 about how you feel about Washington as a city because his contract is up after next year. So what happens is this. If you don't have a guarantee with him saying that you're going to sign back with him next summer, not this summer coming up. Next summer, you might want to try and trade, Tray Young. I said John Walker.
Starting point is 00:29:20 You may want to try and trade, Tray Young because if he doesn't want to come back to D.C., you're going to end up with nothing. And he could go where he wants after next season. So y'all better make sure. sure that's where he wants to be. Because if not, in the middle of the season, off season, you need to try and make a deal now
Starting point is 00:29:38 because you'll end up with nothing. We all know, Tray. Y'all may be playing a card where, I'm going to sit here for you. I'm going to keep quiet. I'm going to act like I love B.C., so on and so forth. And ball out. Yeah, and then the next thing you know,
Starting point is 00:29:52 he and Houston with KD. in the mix. Hmm. He ends up in Houston, night, night. night night it's night night for everybody I think that that's a great take killer if Tray Young and Houston
Starting point is 00:30:10 will be oh my goodness it would be like a Van Fleet upgrade and I love Van Fleet but it'll be a young Van Fleet you know yeah and got longer range and more options the faster
Starting point is 00:30:25 even though Van Fleet's a veteran not just a veteran a championship veteran God, I'm taking Tray Young today. Yeah, Tray Young off the pick and roll with KD is a nightmare. KD, the picking roll with Amen is a nightmare. Sagoon is a nightmare. That might be to play, Tray Young.
Starting point is 00:30:47 If you're listening to us, we haven't been wrong yet. You know what I'm saying? They take all ideas and try to do them without us. Listen, don't do this one without us. It is something. Say courtesy of it is what it is. Maybe we can get a stat to do this too. Can it look courtesy of it is what it is?
Starting point is 00:31:05 Next time she go out. What do you think? Yeah, why not? Absolutely. Yeah, that's a great little write-up. But as Mason always says, we'll see what happens in due time. But people do be listening. That's what I'll put out there.
Starting point is 00:31:19 Listen, like I said, that is the most important thing for D.C. D.C., y'all better make sure that's where you want to be, because I'm going to be honest with you. The city, I love it. I love it. I don't want to play for DC. I don't care. I'll put up with it for a year, but I'm going to Houston. I'm going somewhere where we can win a championship next few years.
Starting point is 00:31:42 Because before you know it, he'll be in the league after this year. What, this will be a sixth, seventh year? It goes fast. Definitely does. And the seventh year is the joint year. So, you know, if you're all great players by year seven, you got to be somewhere close to that championship. We'll see what happens.
Starting point is 00:32:03 Okay, y'all. So this college coach got caught pimping. We will discuss after the break. She called this thing about toxic. He isn't counting. Got you feeling like an option. Maybe I'm my own problem, baby. She's tired of hearing, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:32:29 What's happening in me won't fall. Welcome back. So police say a coach on the Cal State Bakersfield men's basketball program was moonlighting as a pimp across four states. This came from an anonymous email from a tipster who was identified as a woman whom the person had allegedly trafficked for several months. The email read, Fix it or the whole staff will fall, adding that the email was a first warning and a final warning. warning. So the coach is now being held without bail facing 11 criminal misdemeanor charges, including felony such as pimping. He also was charged with possession of automatic firearms and high-capacity magazines in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana with intent to sell. Mace, a lot to unpack. And the coach? What part of the coaches staff is this?
Starting point is 00:33:36 He was an assistant coach, not the head coach. Yeah, the NIL money ain't making it to the players yet, man. I mean, the coaches. The coaches said, man, we got to share this NIR money, man. You got tired of watching niggas ride around and the Mercedes and the range rovers. He said, you know what? I was getting money before this. They said, word, coach, prove it.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Coach, try to prove it. When you say he was pimping, what does moonlighting mean? I've heard that before, but what is moonlighting? I don't actually... Oh, Keller, what does moonlight mean? Moonlight and light on the side. That's like your side gig. Like, so like, what they say is, like, for instance,
Starting point is 00:34:26 right, for an example where moonlighting is, they'll say a cop was moonlighting at a bar after work. So basically, he's doing a side gig on the side. basically to make some money. Pimping on the side is crazy. Yeah. I thought to be a Pee, you had to be full time. He's pimping on his side is crazy.
Starting point is 00:34:51 I got to call Bishop Dawn Warren. Pimp and Ken. Somebody got to let me know. Can you be a Pee on the side? Sauce Walker, hit me up. Filthy, hit me up. Can you be a Pee? on a side? I've
Starting point is 00:35:09 never heard of that. A pee on the side? Come on. I got to ask Finesse two times. Maybe this is a new thing that's going on. You got to ask new peas, you know what I'm saying? They might know.
Starting point is 00:35:25 Finesse hit your boy up. I need to know. Moonlighten is this a thing? And he's doing this in California with all that Figueroa has to offer. And he put it on the road side, on the side? Y'all got to let me know, Bishop Don Juan.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Hit your boy up. Let me know what's going on. A pee on the side is crazy. I think you named some good names, though. You said Filthy, Sauce Walker. They're going to tag you and let you know. Shout to Filthewin sauce. Yeah, I need to know.
Starting point is 00:36:07 to know, you know, with all this macaroni, you know? Yeah, man. Those both my guys, too. What I would say is this, right? That's a great point, Mace. That's a great point, Mace. You know, I don't know how much the head coach gets paid at that college, but you're right.
Starting point is 00:36:27 Assistance is looking at everybody get paid extra, but him. I don't know what the salary, with the NIL shit is over there if they get a lot of money, but I'm pretty sure it's something floating around. Yeah. When you go to these schools now, it's looking like the dealership. You know what I'm saying? So let me say this first before I give my actual take. Trafficking is not cool.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Pimping, forcing females to do something that they don't want to do is definitely not cool. 100%. but you know what is pimping and distributed and take the distribute you know look
Starting point is 00:37:16 if I'm leaving New York and I'm going to Jersey I don't know people on East Coast don't know the demographic that's like a 38 second ride literally yeah you cross the bridge you just cross the bridge
Starting point is 00:37:34 If there's no traffic literally less than a 90 second, one-minute ride driving, if there's no traffic. So if I'm going to Jersey and I got like five pairs on me for myself and my man be like, yo, let me get an ounce. And then I'd be like, just give me 300. So with Shorty. Oh, she or her anyway, she do whatever. She with me though. Am I pending it and the intent to distribute?
Starting point is 00:38:06 Was that my goal? That was not your goal. That was not my goal. It wasn't my goal at all. So these words, like I said, that's why I gave the disclaimer. That's not the case is wrong. But sometimes we learned this growing up, right? And I'm not saying he shouldn't know he's a grown man.
Starting point is 00:38:29 but we learned certain things growing up as you went along. Like, I don't want to get into detail, but we know somebody who got in trouble for something we didn't know was a crowd. So we're sitting and saying, you can get locked up for that? Good to know. Know that.
Starting point is 00:38:50 No. Exactly. And I'm not putting that on the coach. Yeah, we're not putting that on the coach. I'm not putting it. If he did everything that we did, was not supposed to be done, shame to him. But sometimes you don't know what these were.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Like I said, it was a big deal. Somebody got in trouble for some shit where he's like, yo, I didn't know that. I'm glad. I'm not saying I'm glad it happened to them, but I'm just saying, I'm glad it ain't happened to me because I didn't know. Yeah. So that was much. Yes, for a fetish.
Starting point is 00:39:23 Federal for a fetish is crazy. Yes. So shame on you, coach. If that's really what's going. on. But I don't know if you want to take what I'm telling you, and run with it, but, you know,
Starting point is 00:39:37 I don't know the case, but I hate to put the shit like... And I'm not, and I'm not saying these guys appease. I'm just saying they might be able to better educate me, you know? No, we want to make sure we clear that up. Your question, Mace, was totally
Starting point is 00:39:53 legitimate. I had nothing to do with this situation. The question was, can you be a pee on the side? Yeah, that's really what I'm saying. A part-time pee is crazy. Yeah, so that has been to do. And Statt, you wouldn't know what we're talking about, so don't even worry about it.
Starting point is 00:40:11 I'm not worrying about it at all. Do you know what a P is? A P? Oh, okay, okay. Who knows? I didn't, I didn't, it's like every time I share stories, you're like, Stan, how do you don't know? I didn't know that was a real thing.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Oh, my. I was never exposed to that. And then you moved to Vegas and people like, oh, yeah. And I'm like, oh, that's what that. Like, I, uh, yeah. They're going to have people walking up to it say you need to pee in your life. Just mind my business, you know? A lot of things just be happening.
Starting point is 00:40:57 You know, just the lives. normal. It's not my normal. Yeah. These days, is the manager. Do you have a manager? You know what? Manager. See, it's a whole different world. I'm so glad. I don't know nothing about that way. But see, the thing about it is this, too, right, murder? Girls is pimps too, but they respond. They reverse it and say, I need a
Starting point is 00:41:26 sponsor. That's pimping Yeah Trafficking niggas out of state All that Hey you want to go on a trip To Cancun That's trafficking
Starting point is 00:41:42 You got to know the rules nowadays You put a nigga on the plane And San Juan And do a little darn Dawn You could be in an all-out traffic So you're right Making niggas work and using their money for you
Starting point is 00:42:08 That's pimping So that means there's a lot There's more pimps than we know Pimps everywhere But again the question is Can you do it on the side? We'll wait for that answer We'll see what's that answer
Starting point is 00:42:27 It's because actually give it the whole spark note So obviously we saw how... No, I got the answer. I got the answer. You can. You must can because I saw a girl do it on the side. She got a guy to buy her a car for like $500,000. And she just cheated on the niggins.
Starting point is 00:42:48 So that got to be a P on the side. But it's like, what was her other job, though? Because going back and coaching them kids is crazy. Oh, she was selling merch, I guess. She was selling... You know how they do it. Selling clothing on the side. I don't.
Starting point is 00:43:07 I'm just giving voice to it to say that, you know, this is something to be aware of. Like, we're joking, but it's real serious. The mental arm fiber of people out here in this world is very limited and very fragile. So it seemed like this would be a legal, not illegal, but a way that people would use to get paid off because people's mentality is really,
Starting point is 00:43:31 low these days. But move on, stat. I'm just throwing that in there. I'm slightly moving on. It's just a quick question regarding it before I move on. Because I'm curious, because we saw how this headline kind of took over the entire school. When you guys were in school and then the short period, you were in college cam and then college makes for you two, did you guys ever have like a crazy school scandal? Do you feel like things were pretty smooth sailing? I think our high school days was so explosive. College was easy. I don't know for killer, but high school did it for us. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:44:09 Our coach was literally dating girls in the school. It was like, we dealt with crack cocaine. It was just so much. It was so much in school. And by the time we got to college, it was just like, this is easy. Yeah. Undergang lying.
Starting point is 00:44:45 Think about this, right? I got to this school. I didn't even go to the school as a freshman. I got there in 10th grade. And I have five coaches. years. I have five coaches in three years
Starting point is 00:45:06 at this school. We had two our coaches on there earlier last season. You know what I'm saying? Those were our first two coaches. Then after that we got this nigga name some more. He came from fucking South Dakota some shit.
Starting point is 00:45:22 He wanted us to wear suits to school and with that. He was a mess. But he ended up getting into a fight with a student. So he got, he got kicked out from coaching. Then, like I told you, like Mace said, when we heard somebody, one of the coaches was dating the students, you know, shit was the mess.
Starting point is 00:45:42 Then, like I said, I didn't want to bring it up, but the shit that I just was talking about before Mace happened, people went to jail. Yeah. You know, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. Our team alone was. It was like the Rico.
Starting point is 00:46:00 It was like, yeah, this can't be high school. You are. This is crazy. So, yeah. So, yeah, some of the stuff we don't want to get in too deep, but I have to agree with Mastat. Yeah, high school was some scandals. What?
Starting point is 00:46:22 Scandals is not going to work for. I know your other one coach, but who was the fifth coach? So you have Ford, you had Gladden. Oh, yeah, I forgot about Gladden. You had Coach Rich Cole Ford, Coach Gladden, Dee Graham once in a while, some more. We had six then. That was six.
Starting point is 00:46:46 Six coaches in three years. And then Coach Jackson, remember Jackson my senior year? Yeah. It was crazy, man. So I have five coaches in three years. He had six. Yeah, that's a fact. That's a lot.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Yeah, it's a lot. Man, you can't get no momentum like that. At all. And y'all had never had no high school reunion or nothing. Y'all just said, we good? Like, I'm serious. Yeah, we had a high school reunion and killer ain't show up. Me and Killer didn't show up.
Starting point is 00:47:26 You just didn't know who was going to. be there. You know what it is that? See, you know, getting to travel, right? And later on for me to New York, New York catch on to a lot of things later. And I say catch on, I just think the New York, think that
Starting point is 00:47:44 they are, we are, too cool for a lot of shit. To me, I don't remember no prom. I don't know if Mason went to a prom, like, I don't remember the shit. I don't even know where prom was held at. Yeah, I didn't think about that, killer. You did not go to prom.
Starting point is 00:48:03 Yeah, I'm like, where was prom at? First of all, you older than me, so your prom was before mine. But I'm like, where was the prom at? I didn't, where was the prom at? I didn't go. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm talking about. Niggins don't even know.
Starting point is 00:48:20 Fuck the prom. Niggas had dates. We had dates. We just didn't go. Yeah. Like. If you went to a prom. prom is like a chick.
Starting point is 00:48:29 If you really cool, it's like you got to beg me to go to prom. Like, I don't, I'm not a prom guy. Like, yeah. I went to prom. Actually, I got to find, you, you had to pitch a killer. That was me at the prom with Diane. That was at another school. But yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:48:46 I remember that. That's why I asked you because I remember y'all to going to a prom. Yeah, you couldn't go back in the day. You couldn't go to a prom because that mean you was with her. We couldn't get. give nobody that. Like, yo,
Starting point is 00:49:01 I dressed up for her. No, we can do it. Yeah, that's a fact. You got to go to other school proms. So people would be like, yo,
Starting point is 00:49:10 that's the kid from our man center. Yeah. I don't ever remember Cam going to the prom, ever. Because I never went. I didn't even know where the shit was up. Yeah, I popped out one time
Starting point is 00:49:21 and I ain't like it. Why did you like it? It was too romantic. Yeah. My upper-head phone It was too I was too young to be that romantic You know, they want you to
Starting point is 00:49:36 Be romantic in that era Yeah, the bing flowers And all of that I had the rose in my back pocket So was it not Cool, wait So wasn't not cool to just go by yourself We were part of a tough era.
Starting point is 00:49:59 You couldn't have them roses in your home like that. I had the rose in my back pockets. You said, you ain't got a rose? I'm like, yo, I think I got one, you know. Yeah, you couldn't have the whole bouquet and all that and be out there with the limousine and all that. We grew up in the wrong times. It was the wrong era.
Starting point is 00:50:22 Y'all couldn't just go by yourself. Like, just go just because you wanted to look fly. Like that wasn't a thing. No, you were fly all year. Why would you wait to prom to be fly? That was a country move to wait to prom to be fly. If you wasn't fly all before that, and that's the thing about in our high school,
Starting point is 00:50:44 we just didn't know what you was going to look like on prom day. For me, it's like, I got to know you good looking to know if I'm going to prom, because you might not show up. And we got all these pictures now together. It's a bad idea, Statt. This is a whole different perspective. Yeah, it wasn't like your day where the mother gets you a Lamborghini
Starting point is 00:51:09 and you got the tuxedo to match your socks and all that. Nah, it was like, you rent a tuxedo. You rent the tuxedo. You don't even have a tuxedo. I had to rent my tuxedo. That's how poor we was. It's like 90 niggas wore this tuxedo. before.
Starting point is 00:51:29 And you got to turn it back in and they give you these patent-level shoes to wear with the tuxedo. I would never do it again. Imagine that. Start going in the mall, getting a tuxedo, you're renting the shoes.
Starting point is 00:51:44 It's not your shoes. It's not your tuxedo. Yeah, so I'm thinking about, you know, it's not your shoes, it's not your tuxedo. It's not your shirt. Like, how can you feel confident like that. I felt weird the whole
Starting point is 00:52:00 night. Like, who was in this cause? This tuxedo before. This is, wow. And that day I vowed I never wear another tuxedo unless it's my own tuxedo. I can't do that. Yeah, and the thing about it is just
Starting point is 00:52:18 like I said, it's just that error, right? I remember this nigger Duke the God in RIP, my man bloodshed, you know, me, and him was a group at a time. Mace, too, so we all kind of just, you know,
Starting point is 00:52:33 Mace had got solo, but me and my man Bloodshed from COC. We was on the group, and I started, I liked it. I started listening to R&B. Now, look, we sit back and think about it today, like, yo, 90s R&B is the best R&B. 90s R&B is the best R&B. I was singing R&B, and they used to be like, look at this nigga Candy Cam.
Starting point is 00:52:53 They used to call me Candy Cam. Look at this nickname. Remember that. Blood. Yeah. Candy cam. Because I'm like R&B. I got to listen to it on the low pause because I'm being teased about like in Jodacy or cut closer.
Starting point is 00:53:16 S.WV. I'm Candy Cam. So that's how bad it was. Yeah, you couldn't even like that. I remember blood saying that. He was like, yo, I was. He called me, he's like, yo, I had an MOP on. Cam comes over there in place, however do you want it?
Starting point is 00:53:49 You're some tough niggas, man. Yeah, niggins only want to listen to Onik and MOP. And boot camp click. The girls want to listen to boot camp click. Yeah, man. I ain't going to lie. It was pretty rough. But to answer your question real quick, stat,
Starting point is 00:54:09 so Mace did mention how we was going to, they called us for reunion. But where they was happening at was like. Chinese side. Yeah. It was like. It was at a bar in the basement. Oh, I didn't know it was going to be there.
Starting point is 00:54:38 That's Tom's spot. Yeah, yeah. Shout to Tom. I didn't know it was going to be Tom spot. I thought they were doing that at the Chinese spot. It was Lighthouse. Shout to my nigga Mike who owned Lighthouse. It was his spot, but Tom has the night there.
Starting point is 00:54:55 But to put it like this stat, the spot we talk about, maybe smaller than where we film at. Maybe a little smaller. So it's like, yo, what kind of reunion do we really do? I told them, then I told them, look, if you retire in my jersey and put it on the wall, I'll show up. Then they agreed to do it, and I was like,
Starting point is 00:55:24 nah, that ain't genuine, forget it. I'm not going anyway. No, you don't want to put my shit up off the love. I really told them that hoping that they say no. But they agree to it. That's how you know we think alike. I wanted my number at the half of court. You're going to see 22 at the half of court.
Starting point is 00:56:01 That's crazy Niggins they can't do it So you know me If you can I can I can I want the niggins to walk in the gym And say
Starting point is 00:56:24 Yo who is number 22 They put Baffair I was saying none less. You know this this nigga going to ask for too much. You know, he has been
Starting point is 00:56:43 to put him at half court. I don't care about none of the naked. I ain't going to lie. I ain't think about that one. I ain't think about half of course. Yeah. Y'all didn't even give him a chance
Starting point is 00:56:59 because, like, the high school budget is different. So if that's the location, if it would have been a different location, you still would have considered, you still wouldn't have went. Nah, we're going to go, go. Because you know why? Let me just tell you my opinion, right?
Starting point is 00:57:18 And I'm just going from watching watching other reunions and shit like that, right? A lot of times people go to reunion be like, oh, I want to see so-and-so. I wonder what they look like. I want to see someone. I want to see so on some. We the niggins to see. Sorry to the rest of the classes.
Starting point is 00:57:40 No disrespect on your achievements and like, you know. I'm not disrespecting with y'all done, but I'm not running. I'm not looking forward to going to see anybody that I went to school with, because anybody I went to school with that I still fuck with, I can still speak to them. Yeah. We know where they're at.
Starting point is 00:58:00 We know where all those people are. Even you guys is like high school crushes. Like that old like you were like, dang, I wonder what happened to so-and-so. I drink saying go to our school like that. And we seen all of them when we got signed, you know? When we got signed, we started seeing all the people we went to school with.
Starting point is 00:58:24 Yeah. That's a cool fact. I was just curious, because I actually am supposed to make my high school reunion because I was president. So I'm like, I'm just curious on where everybody else went. But hearing y'all talk about it. See, according to how you went to school, you should want to go back.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Yeah, yeah. Teachers and all that. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I would put that shit together ASAP if I was you. It's a little different. Yeah, I was security guard. I'm thinking about our reunion would be so crazy.
Starting point is 00:59:00 Cam, me, Bridge Parker, Dame Dash, Sinai Lathan, Makai Fife, it was a lot of talent came out of that school. I didn't even realize
Starting point is 00:59:16 that until I saw McCa and Clark because I was like, yo, I went to school with him. I wasn't up yet, but he was on the screen. I was like, yo, this is crazy. I remember him. So I was school and there's so many more
Starting point is 00:59:30 people that I'm not even thinking about right now that are like bona fide stars so it's a lot of talent came out of that school for real i don't know what it is yeah that's actually dope that would be dope to see i know you guys are over that'd be dope to see because i know you guys had you guys as coaches on here so i'm just like where is everybody at like yeah the thing about it though also too to be clear the people that mason's naming they all went to our school but they different classes too you know what i'm saying like we didn't go to school with Dane, even though he went to that school. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:03 He wasn't there with him or Sinai Lathan or whatever. But McCah, yes. Yeah. And like Mason said, I can't even think, but he's right. It's a long list of people who made it from that school. Yeah. Overall dope alumni. That's cool.
Starting point is 01:00:18 Okay. Well, in the comments down below, let us know you guys as high school reunion stories or school scandals. We want to hear them. Maybe we'll even react to one of them. Yeah. Are you going to put, Are you going to put together the reunion?
Starting point is 01:00:32 Yeah, I am. You're going to go shit on niggas, or you're going to act like it's all good and brag about it later when you get in the car? I don't know. That looked like a flexor. Stat looked like a flexor. She's going to flag.
Starting point is 01:00:47 Stata killing with kindness, but see, that's what I'm trying to say. You was telling me how certain people, I don't know if it was college or high school was telling you that, you know, you're not going to start off good in this career. Was that high school? as well? That was college, but high school, I did have certain teachers who were like,
Starting point is 01:01:05 yeah, I don't really know if you should go, like, talking about like money and different things saying that I couldn't do certain things. But shout out to my principal, though, because she was great. Shout out. Would you? So that's the question I want to ask you for. Yeah. Would you remind them of that when you see them like, hey, we're like, hey, remember you told me? Would you say that? The thing is, I don't have to remind people because I would say it. I clock things. Yes, but the question is, would you, though? Would you, though?
Starting point is 01:01:35 Not that you have to? There's a lot of things. Because even, like, it's so many, because it wasn't that long ago. Like, there's even people who, like, because I was a type of student, like, in class, I love to read out loud, like, in history and things like that. There's this dude who sat next to me who was like,
