Starting point is 00:00:03 Welcome back to It Is What It is. I'm Treasure Wilson, aka Stap Baby, along with your host, Mace, and Cam. Killer, what's good, man. What's good, bro? How are you today? I'm doing good, man. Good, that's what so. Okay, so you look like you're about to say something.
Starting point is 00:00:37 Were you just thinking? He's wearing blue, and I'm wearing blue. That's not the same blue. Is that Jay-Z blue you're wearing? You know, Jay-Z blue you're wearing? You know, Jay-Z blue? has his own blue. I was telling you about
Starting point is 00:00:56 killer pink the other day. I'm on pink. Jay Z. is on here blue? Is that J.Z. Blue? That was a good one. Why would I be wearing J.Z. Blue?
Starting point is 00:01:11 I'm just like, why was you? You might not know it was J.C. Blue. They might have sold it to me. Yeah, yeah. Trolling me. Yeah, you know, because I didn't know, his daughter's name is Blue,
Starting point is 00:01:23 his own hue of blue as a color. So I don't know if people know this, but it's ways you could copyright your own color for what I talked about on the show yesterday, I believe, but yeah, is it? Or you're not sure. I don't know what Jay-G-Blue is. I thought I was wearing baby blue.
Starting point is 00:01:44 Okay, you might, yeah, I just asked it. You want to see Blue. I thought you might ask for it, I thought you might say give me the Jay-C Blue. That was the good one. Now I got to watch out on the whole show. You got to watch out. I got to watch that.
Starting point is 00:02:05 I don't want to back the whole show, man. Tony J.C. Blue is crazy. So this is baby Blue. Okay, so we said we were going to discuss some NBA. There's a lot of good storylines here. So let's get into some NBA predictions for the year. So Mace, what's the team you're most excited to watch? Man, I'm excited. I got to throw Kai Rhee out there. I'm excited to watch Kyrie, not specifically
Starting point is 00:02:30 Dallas, but definitely to see how Kai Rie comes back. Shout out to him. Make sure you get well. Make sure you come back with a vengeance pause. But I'm really excited. And we're talking about a team. I want to see what this Miami team look like. I'm really excited about that because I think everybody is just jumping out there, the sixes, the sixes, the sixes. You know, I definitely want them to do well because Jalen Brown is on there. But other than that, I'm really interesting to see this Miami Heat team and to see what the Knicks do. Those are the two teams I'm going to definitely have my eyes on. Hey. The two teams, I'm actually going to focus on the West. I'm really, really excited. And shout out to make with Mesa too. I've seen some highlights
Starting point is 00:03:18 Sakari. He was looking, he was looking spectacular, and it looked like he was at half speed. Like, yeah, I'm just getting warmed up. So shout out to Kyrie. I'm really excited to see him play. But it's been talking about teams. I want to see what Minnesota does. This back court with Anthony Edwards and Mellow Ball.
Starting point is 00:03:37 I'm really excited to see that. Also, with the addition of Kamenga, you know, they already have a decent center when we talk about Rudy O'Barre. I'm excited to see what they do. And then other team that I want to see, I'm excited to see, is Portland. Is John Morant going to stay on track? Damian Lillard looked really, really good in his preseason game that I watched the other night. We see the emergence of Denny last year, thanks to Trista had me focus on him.
Starting point is 00:04:06 He looked really good. And I love this center, Robert Williams III. He's really decent. So I'm excited to see what they do in the stacked west. And is it enough to get past OKC and San Antonio? And I know everybody keeps saying OKC and San Antonio. And those are the two teams that I'm excited to see. But we have to think about this as well.
Starting point is 00:04:31 We're thinking about Houston, who didn't necessarily have their main center last year. Adams is back and their point guard is back. Van Fleet. I'm excited to see what Houston's going to do. But I'm going to leave it with Portland and Minnesota, the two teams I'm excited to do. But we need to keep an eye on Houston and see what happens because I think they have something to say before it's all set and done. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:53 And you guys obviously bring up both a great point with Kyrie because I just think the league is better when we get to see Kyrie play. But, Mace, I know Cam also gave his Western team. What would be your – I know you started with Kyrie, but is the matchst your team or is there another team there for you on the list? OKC is the team. I'm really interested in to see that team come back healthy. I'm not going with the Spurs just yet.
Starting point is 00:05:17 I'll be looking forward to seeing what Shay got to do. She got to say about this. Okay. Okay, see, they drafted a really, really good center. I can't think his name off the top of my head, but, boy, he looked like a problem. And I was watching him preseason, boy, that white boy, they got over there, OKT, 7-2,
Starting point is 00:05:37 and now you can put Chet at the four. Man, listen, boy, you're not saying Chet wasn't playing the four, where Hornstein was there, but, man, this thing is skilled, man. really skilled. And I'm like, yo, God damn, man. He look really good, man.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Be on the lookout for that thing. What's the nigga name? Well, I say Mara. Yeah. Yeah, 7-3, actually. Yeah, Mora. 12th overall, so. Right.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Not only 7-3, skilled. Skilled, 7-3. Skill set is crazy. Bad game is crazy. So I really want to see what he does with, or where they're going to fit him in a lot, fit him in paws and the line up. But he looked really, really good in preseason.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Yeah. Okay, and this next one. So what team do you think? It's kind of getting slept on. The one that you think is going to surprise everybody this year, Maze. Let's see if we can get ahead. Who's going to surprise everyone? Golden State.
Starting point is 00:06:31 I think nobody's talking about Golden State. And when you got a dangerous shooter like Stefan Curry coming back with the healthy Porizinger, that's already two pieces right here. That's going to be sensational. then you add that with somebody willing to do the dirty work, don't have to do much, pause, and Draymond, and if you get anything from Jimmy Butler, now you're talking about a serious team.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Yeah, Jimmy Butler, he's expected to come back, I think, January or February. Yeah. The team I'm going to say, and I'm not sure if it's necessarily a surprise, but they're not being talked about because of how they played and their season ended the last couple years, I'm going to go with Denver. And I'm not saying surprise because everybody knows that the Joker
Starting point is 00:07:18 is arguably the best playing the league depending on who you're talking to. But God damn, I don't know if y'all been watching them in preseason. This nigga threw a Rahana back pass from the baseline. Like, we probably need to show that Nick if we get the clip.
Starting point is 00:07:34 The nigga... But did you see it? Yeah, for the three. Yo, fam, I don't know who could throw that pass. Pass two defendants. Yeah, but I'm talking about from this side of the base. Do you know how much strength that is to throw that pass? And like, it would take a lot of strength.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Because I'm sitting there thinking about it. I'm like, shit, who can make that pass on the dime, on the baseline, without it going out of bounds? Or hitting the backboard. Right, or hitting the back boy, yo, I don't know guards who can make that pass. Steve Nash was, you know, Steve Nash is arguably one of the best passes ever, too. You know, probably top 10, you know, I don't want to disrespect. You know, they start saying a wrong number.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Jason Kidd. Yeah, Jason Kidd and, you know. Now they'll start going back Bob Kuzi on. You can start talking about, don't disrespect Bob Kuzi like that. But Steve Nash actually said that nobody can make that pass ever. You know, I ain't going to disrespect magic like that. Magic could have made that pass. Yeah, but that is a, not only accuracy, the strength.
Starting point is 00:08:41 I don't understand people are not. People just like, oh, that's cool. He's off the dribble, seven foot one, and off the dribble of regular, it's a lot of strength and accuracy going with that. I didn't want to spend too much time on that, but I'm just thinking about when I've seen the shit. Shit was crazy.
Starting point is 00:08:57 But, yeah, because we, you know, we was thinking at one time that motherfucking Denver might be a dynasty. We was like, yo, these niggas gonna be the ones, you know what I'm saying? And then they had a few disappointing seasons after that, you know, Bruce Brown left
Starting point is 00:09:15 Carlwell Pope left key pieces that help them win that championship left to go get their money and I ain't knocking it but sometimes you need to stay there to win the championship. If you got your money and a championship your career says it's a bunch of people that only got one championship that we respect. Kevin Gardner
Starting point is 00:09:32 one of my favorite players ever he got his chip and he got his money that's what matters to certain people but they add DeMar de Rosen to this team this year. I don't think Aaron Gordon was all the way healthy throughout the year last year. Jamal Murray, to me, hasn't been healthy for the last couple years, even though he's been playing.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Let's see if they healed in the offseason with an adding, DeMar de Rosen and see what happens. But I'm going to go with Denver as my surprise team because nobody's talking about them like they were two years ago, even though you have to talk about the Joker. Joker's in the preseason getting triple doubles by accident. He's not even trying. I watched the other night he had to triple double.
Starting point is 00:10:12 It's the preseason. So that's the most of a surprise team, even though they're not much of a surprise. Yeah, no, good stuff. Okay, now let's hone in on specific players. Mace, who do you think is the player to watch for this season? The player to watch for me in this season is Lamello. What Lamello does on this Minnesota team is going to either make them contenders in the West. It's going to say a lot of things, you know.
Starting point is 00:10:42 that's what I'm really watching because if you get mellow playing well then this this wolves team timber wolves will be interested in making another move to make it a championship contender team because they're still a piece or two away from even being able to compete at a championship right now they're just an exciting team but I think if he goes out there and ball out and they become secure and who he is then I think they'll be willing to make another move to get them the next piece that they need to win a championship. So I want to answer this question, staff, more than one person.
Starting point is 00:11:20 But I didn't do my, what was the first question you asked? Most excited? No, when you was talking, when I named Portland, like how did you phrase the question when I were named Portland? I said the team you're most excited to watch
Starting point is 00:11:38 and then the Sleeper team. Okay. the sleeper team, because I did the West Coast, the sleeper team for me, and I'm going to name some players, because I know you said the players just now, the sleeper team for me in the East Coast is the Wizards.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Anthony Davis stay healthy. That's first and foremost. Dice Trey is going to be Dice Trey. From Atlanta, he's on the record saying he never had to play on his team that they held that needed a double team and then we got AJ
Starting point is 00:12:14 the young fresh rookie over there this team could make some noise quietly if you know because nobody's thinking about oh Washington the Wizards nobody cares but if Anthony Davis could stay healthy and Trey Young could be Trey Young
Starting point is 00:12:30 and this kid AJ is supposed to be where he's supposed to be we might see something on them out of the east let's see how they gel together So those are three players that I'm actually watching in the East. Now, to the West, the one specific player that everybody should be watching. And this is it. We only had nothing after this.
Starting point is 00:12:51 This is it. I'm telling you now, this is it. I'm telling you right now, I'm telling you now, bro, this is it. We don't want to hear it. You know, I'm going to say, do y'all got a guess who I'm going to say? Do you even think you got an idea you want to hear of? Yeah. Nah, I ain't gonna do y'all like that.
Starting point is 00:13:10 But, you know, he's on, he's right underneath force. Zion. Yeah. This is it, bro. That's solid. This is it, nigga. This is seven years. This is the last thing that's going on seven, eight years now with this experiment, man.
Starting point is 00:13:30 You know, injuries overweight, prostitutes, babies, bitches, hookers. Listen. Accusations. Listen, man, bitches, DMs. Where is the nigga that was at Duke and at that little high school you was at in South Carolina? We've been waiting for this nigga for seven years. That's who we gonna be watching this year.
Starting point is 00:13:54 And they ain't just gonna be me, it's gonna be GMs, it's gonna be coaches, it's gonna be niggas who cut the check, it's gonna be niggas gonna wave niggas, it's gonna, I take him, but I'm not giving them this. You're on the clock, Zion, and I'm rooting for you. I'm not talking shit about you because I was a real, real big fan. I had high expectations for you, nigga, when he's coming to the league. But this is it, nigga.
Starting point is 00:14:14 I'm telling you that, right? This is it. This is it. Yeah. And you're not saying that from the place of, like, you're throwing a shot at him. Like, this is normally how things happen when they come to this National Basketball Association. They got a time period before they just move on. And that's what he's basically speaking.
Starting point is 00:14:35 This is the year after this year, the person. Pelicans will move on, just like the NBA will move on from what they expected, because they already got Wembe. They already got all these other players. And there's a gym that's down there in Utah. I forgot who was the second pick, but he's supposed to be really special, too. That nigga from Kansas. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:55 That nigger nasty, yo. See, what happened with him is, what's the nigger name from Kansas? Y'all talking about Darren Peterson. Darren Peterson. What happened with him, he's supposed to be the number one pick. over AJ. What happened with him was this. He was so good
Starting point is 00:15:12 the niggas' time he was just sit on the second half. So he started acting like he got cramps, this thing, and the third, and all the scouts, everybody's pissed off, like, yo, why are he not playing the second half of games? Because he was murdering niggas
Starting point is 00:15:24 in the first half of games. And his pot's probably, or whoever handled him, probably is like, yo, chill out. Crammed joint. Y'all got cramps. He was supposed to go number one. Even though AJ got the hype and not saying AJ should go number one,
Starting point is 00:15:40 but talent-wise, he was supposed to be the number one pick. And to me, the reason he wasn't is because of how he slighted college basketball last year and didn't play full games. And it was a big, big thing about how he didn't play and this, down and the third and et cetera. But talent-wise, he was the best talent coming out to draft this year. I didn't mean to cut you off a lot of stuff. Oh, that's good. That's what I was saying.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Add some context to what you said. So that might be a sleeper team right. right there in Utah as well, because you think about all of the firepower. They got young guards that could go crazy, Ace Bailey. You got got the guy that played last year. I forgot his name, but he was a really good guard. And the guard from USC. They got some really good young talent on that team.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Yeah. And the real Triple J. So they have a lot of things to work with. I know we started off asking team most excited. to watch? Triple J from Miami? No, no, no. As I said, the real Triple J, because y'all did check me.
Starting point is 00:16:42 She was faking. Come to find out, he didn't even had a name. That nigga from Memphis, the center? Yeah, Utah. That nigga was nice two a minute ago. I don't know. I ain't seen them. Like, that old, Memphis should just collapse.
Starting point is 00:16:57 It really did. Like, he was a defensive player in a year, one year, and that shit just collapsed. I ain't heard about him since. With Jared Jackson, Jr.? Yeah, yeah. He was all right. Yeah, and the other dude, Lari. They got some good talent.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Keon, George. They look like one of them teams that's like, if they get it right, the problem is this, yo, is that we'll see. And every year somebody keeps in there. It's just that, you know what the problem is, murder? Yeah. Is that OKC in San Antonio so young.
Starting point is 00:17:33 Yeah. You know what I'm saying? You know how somebody on the team be like, yo, niggis getting all they all right? Like you just said, never can count gold and stayed out, but they keep talking about the age. Or they talk about LeBron's age, or they talk about Kevin Lorraine age.
Starting point is 00:17:46 You ain't got nobody on either one of them teams that you even mention in that way. So let's see if you talk of mustard up, some chemistry to go along with their talent and make some noise eventually. Yep. 19, 20, 22, the super young team. Super.
Starting point is 00:18:03 Like you said, looking at the other teams is kind of hard to even put that in that, that, put them in that conversation. Okay, so I know we started out with the teams you're most excited to watch, but this next one, and I think it's still a good one, which team do you think has the best storyline, you know, because there's a lot of definitely, like, titles here for different teams. So, Mace, what would that be for you? I think this Portland team has the, has the best story to watch out for as well as that Pelican team, because people are waiting to see Zion. If he could turn this around.
Starting point is 00:18:37 This would be a, not Pelicans, let me take that back. But when it comes to Portland, Portland will be a great team with a great story. You got Damon Lilliet coming back home. You got, you know, the debacle of the coaching staff. Then you got, it's so many storylines here. Even when you think of the jaw coming there, it's just so many things to watch. It's a journalist sensation. I'm going to tell you a decent storyline
Starting point is 00:19:11 and I'm going to tell you another storyline. To me, I can't wait to see Philadelphia against Boston. What's this Jason Tatum, Jalen Brown's situation going to be like? Because when they ask each other about each other, when they ask one about the other, I should say, pardon me.
Starting point is 00:19:28 They both be given subliminals. Like they don't fuck with each other. Have you spoke to them? No, why would I speak to him? All that. That's good for sports. Yeah, that's exactly. And then it's one of them games also where Jason Tatum might be like,
Starting point is 00:19:47 nigger, let me show you why they kept me and got rid of you. And then it's one of them situations where, you know, LeBron being as smart as LeBron is. And, you know, I think Tyrese also being a team player, they all understand what that would mean that Jalen Brown. Yeah. Let them get 50. Go crazy the night on that, nigga.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Nika, you're the MVP and all that. How they ain't going to bring you to the Olympics? All that. So I'm really interested in seeing that Jalen Brown versus Jason Tater matchup. And I think we get that a few times, a couple times this year. You know, three, four times if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, four times on the East Coast. Yeah, so I'm really excited to see that.
Starting point is 00:20:30 But right now, I'm going to go to another storyline that I'm really disgusted with. And I don't know if you guys know about it, but did you hear about Dylan Harper and his great? girlfriend? I did. I'm just... That's the story you're like from me at the moment.
Starting point is 00:20:48 What's going on? She's sneaking niggins in the house. Ron is a friend of the show. We know Big O.G. Ron. I know he doesn't know to prove it. It's a mess, man. So for those that don't know,
Starting point is 00:21:05 you know what's that? Yeah, I can sum it up. They're saying Allegedly, Dylan Harper's girlfriend has been cheating on Dylan Harper. There's text messages. Yeah. But that's what I've been cheating on him, texting, meeting up with the guy in Dylan Harper's own crib in San Antonio.
Starting point is 00:21:22 That's what they've been saying? She was meeting them in the crib. Allegedly, right? Yeah, I'm saying allegedly. But there was also pictures. And the ex-girl, or current girlfriend of the guy messing with Dylan Harper's girl had pictures and receipts and had posted it. But according to Dylan, I don't.
Starting point is 00:21:38 I don't know if this is his real spam or not. He was kind of saying like, he's going to stick beside her. So that's kind of what's been going on. His burner, like, basically, like, bump the rest of the world and what they got going on, we could. It was like a comment. That's the part I'm talking about. That's the part that troubles me.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Yeah. Why do tell? Explain. Listen, this is all you got to know, right? I don't know the facts. I'm going off what you read, and I'm reading it, too. This girl and this text message is, saying, and don't pardon me if I'm getting the cities and the date's wrong.
Starting point is 00:22:14 She's saying, yeah, you could come this time because Dylan going to be in China. And then after that, he come back, but he got to go to Toronto. Pardon me if I got the city's wrong. All Dylan got to know is if he really was going to them places. If he really was going to them places at the time, she said that he was going to them places, I can't go with bump the world. I can't do it. I got to go with bump you.
Starting point is 00:22:45 I don't know if status saying bump or fuck but replace a fuck. Yeah. Oh, I can't go with fuck the world. I got to go and fuck you. Why are you telling niggas my schedule, yo? It's one thing to cheat. It's another thing to tell me that we're going to be at.
Starting point is 00:23:03 And then it's another thing to bring a nigga to the house. To his house It ain't her house To my house Yo What be going on Yo seriously What
Starting point is 00:23:16 What be going on Yo I really need to know What be going on To a nigga be like We don't care about What the world Say baby
Starting point is 00:23:26 And If you wore protection Then it's okay with me Like What did you possibly say To get back in the house May what do you think What
Starting point is 00:23:36 I just I don't I can't muster the words up, Mason. I can't, could you muster the words up for me? Because you can handle this more diplomatically, no pun intended. This is a debacle. This is Asinan. This is ludicrous.
Starting point is 00:23:56 This is everything that you don't want in a relationship. Number one, like you said, she's bringing somebody where you lay your head. Pause. Like, this is where it's, it's, it's, it's, different if she was out somewhere and did something wrong. And this is all allegedly, but we're just talking about the concept of if it's true, right? So if she's texting someone, that's already bad, but if she's now bringing them to your house, she's using your money getting them there because he probably don't have the money if he's coming to the crib. And I think a woman that will do
Starting point is 00:24:32 something like that, not to say that this is allegedly, but anyway. woman that will do something like that, she'll actually kill you because if she'll bring somebody in your house, let's say if he's taking something, that means she'll go with him over you. And if it turns bad, it's only going to be bad for you. So Ron, OG Ron, you're watching this. You got to step in. This is not where you let the mother handle this. The mother can't handle this because that's why I'm just going to say what I believe.
Starting point is 00:25:05 The mother can't handle this, Ron. you got to step in and tell that boy what he's supposed to know because he doesn't know it if he if this is his response there's no way you can have that response and then let me ask you this right Mace he's making enough money to survive on his own what if he doesn't listen to his father yeah you know because sometimes
Starting point is 00:25:31 yeah that's that's a bad that's a bad combination when a fool got money right absolutely a fool got money that's Because money is only going to allow you to be more of who you are. So if he's, if he feels like this is okay and she's already doing this now, don't dare get her pregnant. Don't dare marry her because now she might be using his money to take care homeboy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:59 That happens all the time. Yeah. And to keep her to hunting, a girl know when she got a sucker. not calling you a sucker my nigga but they know it they know when they can run all over you know why because there's certain things
Starting point is 00:26:14 girls say and you stick around when girls say certain shit and you stick around they know you a sucker because they're saying shit to make see how far they could go and women will do that
Starting point is 00:26:28 they always see how far they can go yeah like if a girl be like yo you be sucking wild dick Yeah, if you don't respond the right way, that's a bad combination. And then you still would have, the respect level is all the way down here. There's no coming back if you come back. There's no coming back. I'm not telling you hit a, I'm not telling you to do nothing like that.
Starting point is 00:27:02 You got to go. You got to go. You got to go. She got to leave. If it's your place, she got to go. And this is the same thing happened. I don't know if you guys know, but in church, this happens a lot, right? So the women, they let the women take over.
Starting point is 00:27:16 They let the women do whatever they want. And then they be talking about she's a Jezebel. She's a Jezebel. Slow down real quick. So I can understand because I want you to speed. If I'm not understanding, I want to make sure the audience understand. So you start off saying they do this in church and they be taken over. Could you be more specific on what you're talking about?
Starting point is 00:27:36 So like there's areas that a guy should be doing something in, or let's say he doesn't have control over his house. But hold on. I want you to do this in church. Is this a story in church? This is a Bible story. Okay, okay, that's what I'm getting at. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:27:52 So they'll say, oh, she's a Jezebel because she's authoritative, right? She's bossly. She's masculine, right? But a woman is only going to be. masculine with a man that's feminine, right? She's not going to be able to be masculine with a guy that is masculine because then they're going to clash and she's going to have to stop at some point. So you hear women say stuff like, well, if he was more like this, then I can be feminine.
Starting point is 00:28:22 Does that make sense that? Yeah. But a guy never has to have a woman be a certain way for him to be masculine, right? So in order for there to be a Jezebel, a woman that takes over, there has to be an Ahab. Ahab is the guy who led her takeover. So when we're talking about Dylan Harper, he would be the Ahab. He's letting her do that. She's not really the problem.
Starting point is 00:28:48 He is. It's not the girl. It's the sucker that's letting her do it. Because if you let her do it, then that's the reason why she's doing it. Right. Got it. I just wanted to be clear in the audience. Because now I understand it.
Starting point is 00:29:03 I wasn't understanding. Yeah. So when they be like, oh, these women just taking over everything, she's taking over because suckers are in the building. Yeah. Like, so translation in no disrespect to church tonight, you was a bitch-ass nigga from the junk.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Spage. That's strange. Yeah. No, I'm just saying, because you got to dumb it down for people sometimes. You know what I'm saying? You were being soft, so that's why she's overdoing it. And so if somebody be like, because the story of Jezebel is once they got,
Starting point is 00:29:38 once she ran into the wrong guy, he threw out the window. I totally get it now. I'm not, I'm not for throwing ladies out the window. No, I get what you're saying. It's a story from the Bible. Yeah, they put a stop to it right away. Right. And I totally agree.
Starting point is 00:29:54 They're going to, and see, the thing about it is this, Mesa is this, right? is that I don't know about you. Maybe, maybe, maybe, but maybe not true because you got a different class of women earlier than I did or other people. But it's just, and even, I'm trying to say, even thinking when he's young, you got some nice young ladies. These girls in New York is rough, man.
Starting point is 00:30:26 I don't know how people date women in New York. You'll punch you in your mouth. Yeah. Yo, Phil, I've seen a meme. Not a meme, well, it was a picture. And I'm not condoning this. I'm not condoning it. A guy punched a girl in the face and she said,
Starting point is 00:30:46 what, I eat those. That's crazy. And that's wrong. That's wrong. We don't support that up here. We absolutely don't support that. But this is what you're telling with, I eat those. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:31:10 When you grow up, especially in the 90s, I remember, listen, it was songs and it was songs and females that people liked that were kind of masculine that you didn't realize that they were masculine because it was just, the environment you grew up in. And I don't mean no disrespect when I say this neither. Because she had good music and everything else, but she was like girlie but still tough like MC Light.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Like, you know what I'm saying? It was still like a little ditty button. Me boy. Yeah. It was a little ditty bop on her. And you was like, ooh, look at light. You know what I'm saying? It was still a little sun on her.
Starting point is 00:31:51 Then you got people like Apache who make song, I need a gangster bitch. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's always hot. Yeah. Now you think you need a gangster bitch because Apache said you need a gangster bitch. So yeah, growing up in New York was like,
Starting point is 00:32:08 you might have wanted a tough girl, but then you didn't want a tough girl. And then what happens is you go to college or you go away and you be like, oh shit, girls is girls. Southern hospitality. Yeah, I was in Texas. I was like, yo, oh shit. I'm never going back.
Starting point is 00:32:22 Yeah, these women are submissive. They cut the cook. You know, I never forget. I never forget, right? I went to see, after I got kicked out of school, I went to see this girl back in Texas. And I packed my washcloth and my towel and all that. She's like, what are you doing with that?
Starting point is 00:32:42 I was like, no, you know, I washed up. She's like, well, you want to use that same one tomorrow? Like, their system is all different from New York. The way they do is they use a washcloth the towel, they put in a hamper, and wash the new one, get a new one for the next day. At the end of the week, they wash their shit. I'm running around with the same wash golf.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Exactly. My book bag. That's crazy. Yeah, man, I learned a lot from them southern females, man. But shot New York women, too, man. I want to take away from you. I'm just saying, they're y'all pretty rough. In the 90s, I don't know what's going on today.
Starting point is 00:33:18 I haven't dated a New York woman in a while. Y'all love it, though. I'll say, y'all definitely love it, though. But back to the story, yeah. We said we love it. I do like you do. There's no way you don't. When New York women, you got to realize
Starting point is 00:33:32 I've had a girlfriend in New York in years. Decades almost. Yeah, I haven't dated. I'm not saying I ain't hit something in there, but I ain't had no girlfriend in New York. You wouldn't say you love it? I feel like you do. Love what?
Starting point is 00:33:46 Like that. I like submissive. I like females who go with the flow. I like, and I like, if I do something wrong, call me, but don't go overboard. Let me tell you I'm wrong. I'm going to start crazy.
Starting point is 00:34:03 Yeah. All right, I said my bad. It's just like, I'm missing the thinking. Shout out to New York women, though. Yeah, shout out to New York. Absolutely. Bronx, Queens, Long Allen, Harlem, Brooklyn. And let me tell you something, man.
Starting point is 00:34:24 Shout to the New York woman that I did date or mess with. Because, like I said, it's probably one person. percent and two percent they'll be trying to be noisy. The rest of the, like, they keep to their self. I don't know if they embarrasses. They just they even mess with you at one time or not. Maybe they embarrass things. Like, y'all's fucking with this nigger camp.
Starting point is 00:34:42 I don't even telling nobody. But I like the females that I did deal with, even New York or not, they're not messy. You see a lot of niggas, maybe mothers and girlfriends being messy, and I'm like, God damn, you know. Y'all are vicious. You're the really, really vicious, man. Vicious.
Starting point is 00:34:59 So shout to the females that, now to keep it cool and stay off the net and social media and all that shit. Yeah. And then last thing I want to add regarding your storyline. So the TikTok that he commented under, she was talking to a sound and the caption said to all the people believing I'd ever cheat on my hubby and that he had responded, we just going to let the world talk and it's a picture of them in Paris.
Starting point is 00:35:22 So I don't know. There's a lot of unanswered questions because there are screenshots. There are just different things. As long as they're good, as long as he balls out. Hey, that's, I think, what people want to see. But I'm sure more things will unfold. Let me tell you something. If you don't ball out, they're going to start blaming this shit.
Starting point is 00:35:39 That's why I said. I hope he balls out because that's how it goes. And he's starting this year, too. They're talking to three-guard offense, man. I've seen San Antonio played over night. So we're going to see how that works out as well. Yeah, because a lot of distractions as we see happens for them all the time. And that's why we've talked about Zion countless times, what we just want to be.
Starting point is 00:35:57 And for his sake, let's hope it ain't true. I hope it ain't true. We're just given a scenario what was coming across the screen and we reported on it. But hopefully it ain't true, man. But it's been being talked about. Like this is like...
Starting point is 00:36:11 Oh no. But you know once we say it's different. Yeah. Yeah. Once we said it's... Make sure of clearance of things. And the guys, I mean, not to to anybody's horn,
Starting point is 00:36:23 the guys look similar, you know? They both had good hair. They both was on the brighter sky. What is good? Good hair. You know, curls. They both had curly froes. So it was a type.
Starting point is 00:36:35 You get what I'm saying? You know, like you see a guy and then you see the next girl he date and you're like, oh, he got a type. They look similar. So the guys did look similar. Similarities. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:47 So this next one, interesting one, Mace, what team do you think is most likely to disappoint this season? Well, you're kind of like, oh, they should do good, but I don't really know. How it's going to go? They should do good. In the East Coast or West? They give me both. All right.
Starting point is 00:37:04 We'll do in general. The team that should do well, but they're going to disappoint. I'm going to say Boston. On the East Coast, I'm going to say, because to me it's championship or bus, pause, it's Philadelphia. They got to go to the chip. They don't go to the chip. To me, it's disappointing here.
Starting point is 00:37:29 all the way around. You got Joe L.M.B. You got LeBron James who left the West Coast to come to the East Coast. LeBron James is on a record actually saying to himself, he didn't leave his family to get, to get, to get bumped in the second round. So I didn't leave my family to come over here and get bumped in the second round. And I agree with that.
Starting point is 00:37:51 So to me, I'm not saying this will, but I won't answer saying who I think, because I'm not sure who I think at the moment who will mess up. But to me, if Philly doesn't get to the championship minimum, it's a bust.
Starting point is 00:38:05 Yeah. Hopefully not, but it definitely will be, I guess. In the comments down below, y'all, let us know what y'all think who would be most disappointing.
Starting point is 00:38:12 We talked about teams that we're excited to watch. A lot of good storylines here, but we want to hear from you guys. But we're going to go to break. When we return, we will get into some fan questions. Don't go anywhere.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Welcome back. So, like we told y'all, we will be answering fan questions some live some written, but we're going to start with some alive fan questions. First, we've got Ross joining us. Yo, what's going on,
Starting point is 00:38:41 y'all? Ross, what's up, man? How you doing? Well, it's good, brother. Good to be here, man. Thank you all for having. Yeah, thanks for joining. That's the question I get all the time, bro. Do I look like I'm related to Rick Ross?
Starting point is 00:39:04 You kind of do. Nah, that's cat. You got the fate? No, go ahead, bro. We just playing around. Nah, I was just messing with you, bro. So since y'all talked about conspiracy theories last week, I got one that's a little bit more closer to sports.
Starting point is 00:39:30 So I wanted to ask y'all, do y'all believe in the Super Bowl ad conspiracy theory? What it is basically is it involves the colors of the Super Bowl logo each year. And the theory is that the colors featured in the logo supposedly line up with the colors of the teams that will play in the Super Bowl. So here's the logo. First, I wanted to ask, do y'all believe in it? And then I also wanted to ask, since you've seen the colors, who do you think will be in the Super Bowl this year? Well, according to those colors, right?
Starting point is 00:40:05 if we're going with those colors based upon what I'm thinking I'm not sure what team that would be I'm not I'm not sure if you put the logo up again and I think it was like till and yellow but I know who the red and yellow is I mean you know that right you know who that is right so I already knew you was going that I'm glad they put us at the top you know pause but that's that's what they're thinking
Starting point is 00:40:33 but I'm trying to think who would be the NFC see green team who would be that green team or they know they're not saying the panthers going to the championship so i don't know do i believe in it i can't say right now i believe in that but i do think that logo is kind of fishy i would i would say that what do you think killer ross let me ask you this because i heard about this theory before how consistent is it do you know off the top because i don't off the top of my head, pause. How many colors has it been? It's been, like, so basically in the last five years,
Starting point is 00:41:09 have they been correct on the colors? Yeah, exactly. So the last, like, five years in a row, other than last year, last year they got a little weird because people started calling it out, so they included a bunch of colors in it. But every other year prior to that, they were very consistent for the last five years or so.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Last years did include the team colors, but there was just a lot of colors mixed into it. Yeah, well, to answer the question, I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm going to say no, but you could be right, because I heard about this before, and I was like, how many years has it been that this has been going on? So I'm not actually sure, but I know one thing, man,
Starting point is 00:41:55 it'd be a lot of fishy shit going on. So this is actually, you know, you got me stumped. Pause, Ross, because I don't know what to say. You usually got all the answers. I don't have the answer for this one because that's a great question. I don't want to say and act like the Super Bowl is fixed, but you know it be crazy, too? Do you believe, let me ask you a question, Ross, do you believe in the Simpsons conspiracy? You know about that?
Starting point is 00:42:21 That's a fire one, Cam. I didn't think you were getting that back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what I'm saying. I'll be in that, I'll be in that little mix. Do you believe in the Simpson joint? I mean, too much shit has worked out just the way they put it. So I kind of do got to go with it. Yeah, so if you go on with the Simpsons, I'm going with the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:42:44 We're going to go and we're going to do it like that. Yeah, so that means, according to those colors, it's going to be the Jaguars, the Jaguars, and the 49ers or Green Bay and probably the Chiefs. So with the Chiefs? No, I'm saying the colors, based upon the colors. It's even going to be the 49ers or the Chiefs or a green bait or according to the colors. You could put the dolphins in there for all that. That's that teal. That's what I was doing.
Starting point is 00:43:16 And I'm like, eh, nah. That's why I was looking like, I don't know if it's going to work out this year. This might be the year where it don't work. Now, after the Jaguars end up there, we know it's fixed. We know it's fixed. We're on to the NFL. Well, my predictions, I have four teams, and you guys have mentioned pretty much all of them, which was Chiefs, 49ers, Seahawks, or Jaguars.
Starting point is 00:43:40 You know what if they make it, we're bringing you back on, man. And we're going to bring you back and say, and tell us some more conspiracy shit going on, man. Because I really, like I said, I don't like the believing shit, but the Simpson shit, I'm glad you know about, should just be going, it's too crazy. Simpson's been out from the 80s and then should be happening 20 years later, man. So we're going to bring you back on Ross if this shit go right, if it go your way. Yeah. Yeah, that'll be mad cool.
Starting point is 00:44:09 I got one other quick little question for you, Cam. Yep. In one of your songs, you said, Ma, I've been puffing a lot. What did you mean by that? I was smoking weed. Ma, I've been puffing a lot. I know, you know, that's been a better question of May said that lyric. I wasn't puffing a lot like that.
Starting point is 00:44:38 I was talking about smoking more. I've been puffing a lot. That's what I was talking about. I got too many for Mace, to be honest. It gets crazy. Mace's whole first album is a pause. Oh, man, that's crazy. Look, when you come back,
Starting point is 00:44:54 if you get these teams right, bring out a couple lyrics for them when you come back, man. Yeah. I bet. I got you. Thanks, Ross. Thanks for calling in.
Starting point is 00:45:03 Great question. Appreciate y'all. Good to see you. To see you too. Hey, y'all. Next up, we've got Vino. Hey, without, what out? What about?
Starting point is 00:45:14 Cam? What about, Mace? Vino, what's up, man? How are you? What's going on, man? Hey. I'm just taking it from Chicago. I wanted to ask Kim.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Have you ever heard Mace verse on, rest of peace, young scooters, no more going broke? Let me hear that, man. Let me hear that. You heard it before? No, I knew he did a song with him, but I don't think he was cool,
Starting point is 00:45:37 so I didn't want to listen to the shitty act going on at the time. Let me hear his lyric. Let me hear this. So now, I'm here to give flowers because growing up, Mace was like my favorite rapper. But anyway. Yeah, mine too. He said, I'm thinking white hoodie, white shades,
Starting point is 00:45:53 white jays on white snow, white baguadi and a white friarer with white diamonds on white gold, white grill, white bean, rolling around with my white friends, white fur and the right rims. You say my name and you get right in. I'm no fan of him. I got the ammo in. You want to handle him and who stand with him.
Starting point is 00:46:10 I got the Lambo and I'm in the Mandarin. I got the mask on. I'm ripped Hamilton. I'm surety acting like a mannequin. I told her quit with the shenanigans. She said she's going to keem a car. I'm still never going to be a man again. See, murdering the trap is a booby.
Starting point is 00:46:25 Young Scooter ain't Gucci. So many made-back south front. Nika think I'm rolling with poop. I ain't taking no jewelry off. You're gonna cock a nigga come shoot me. Hey, y'all ain't ready for the old murder. Then what you gonna do with the new meat? Woo.
Starting point is 00:46:39 That was good. That boy good, man. That boy is good, man. That boy good, man. That boy good, man. That boy good, man. That boy good, man. That boy is good, man.
Starting point is 00:46:53 That boy is good, man. Mama name him cashes. I'm gonna call him cashes. That was hot. I actually did. You know what? I remember some of that verse when he said,
Starting point is 00:47:05 when you mentioned Gucci, I remember hearing that. And I was like, damn, murder, nice, man. I do remember, I do remember a little that way.
Starting point is 00:47:13 He killed more than just the R&B tracks. What'd you say? He killed more than just the R&B tracks. Yo, you know that. I live with the nick. He's just, They killed him.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Yeah. Real quick. Yeah. Can I just shout out my cousin Jay Lamiro? He with the Seahawks, man. Quarterback over that, he was the last quarterback to play under Nick Saving. And then my boys, Zedarius Smith with the Falcons, man. We want a fast and safe recovery for help.
Starting point is 00:47:45 And then, Mace, if you could just check my auntie out down there in Atlanta. She didn't have them. She had an evangelist, evangelist, Pometrist Milro Jackson. Well, Mace, tell her where she should come. Look at God. I appreciate you. Cam. Yeah, for all of you that want to come by the church is 3535 Peace Tree Road. That's right across the street from Phipps Plaza. It's on the top level. It's right next door to Fitness. What is that? L.A. Fitness. And it's 8 o'clock, 10 o'clock, 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Starting point is 00:48:22 We have forced service and it's going amazing. Just the other week, I think we're up to about 4.4.5.5. 4,000 people have joined all across the world. 1,200 right there in Atlanta, Georgia. So thank you. Join us, man. It would be great to see you there. Appreciate that. All right, man.
Starting point is 00:48:41 You know what? It's a lot of times people come up here, not you between me and Mace. The first time somebody gave credit, man. I want to give you credit for giving credit, man. They always looking for some way to mess up somebody's wrong, man. That was really dope for you. And I'm glad I'm going to listen now on the way home, actually, man.
Starting point is 00:49:02 That was fire. Sure. Yeah. Rest of peace, scooter. Yes, sir. Yeah, recipe scooter. Absolutely. Thanks.
Starting point is 00:49:10 Appreciate you, Vino. Did you have one more question before? Oh, yeah. When y'all go get A.I. Steph Marbury on the show, man, I know y'all used to whip him in high school. When y'all going to get him all here tell his sad? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:30 Gotta get stuff up here, for real. I'll put his stuff up and see when he can jump on the Zoom. Oh, hey, I said, you know what? You're absolutely right. I'm going to reach out to both of them. Absolutely. Yeah, those would be some good guests. Yeah, they would be real good guests.
Starting point is 00:49:44 For sure, man. Hey, Chicago, man. We love you, man. You know that, Kill. Nah, you already know. Much love, man. Appreciate everybody in a shot. All right, man.
Starting point is 00:49:53 Appreciate you. I love you know. All right. Okay. So now we've got some questions that people wrote in. So I'm going to read verbatim what was said. It said, hi, guys. I'm Adriene and I'm watching from halfway around the world from Singapore.
Starting point is 00:50:06 Just want to say I love the show. I watch and follow it regularly. Glad you guys are back and now have this segment. Here is my question. If y'all would do a heist, so maybe a bank heist or a diamond heist between Cam, Mace, Treasure, Nick, Larry, and P.T., who would be who? So I'm going to read it. There's the mastermind and the planner, the getaway driver, the smooth talker, the hardware guy, pause, the lookout, and the wild card who might mess everything up. I think he gave us too many pause options, but that's a good one.
Starting point is 00:50:42 That's a good one. Who's the getaway driver, killer? Maybe PT. So who would mess everything up? I don't know. Statt. I would try my best. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:51:01 I would try my best. But yeah, getaway driver, smooth talker. I'll be the smooth talker. And you're going to be the mastermind. Yeah. The smooth talker, the mastermind, I guess. Mays say doing it without being a mastermind. If it ain't his way, he's not going to do it.
Starting point is 00:51:22 I'm not going in there on a faulty plan. I plan for the plan. Yeah, so. Yeah, that's a great, that's a great question. I don't know who the hardware guy would be, but I think we feel to. Nick can do that. He's USC and all that shit. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:40 Yeah, he can pause, climb up the wall, all of that. Yeah. Yeah. So we got Mace Mastermind, Cam, the Smooth Talker, Nick, sorry, you the hardware guy. PT could be the lookout. Getaway driver. gotta be Larry and I'm the wild card.
Starting point is 00:51:53 But doesn't mean I'll mess everything up. You just don't know which way's going to go. Try my best. I would go with PT to getaway driver. Larry could be a lookout. PT job pretty good. Okay. I'm not saying Larry don't either, though.
Starting point is 00:52:04 I can drive pretty good. Just don't got, I don't need the directions. You don't even know where you're going. Yes. I don't know the way around. You don't even know to get home. That's all you got to know. You don't even know which way to ghost that.
Starting point is 00:52:19 Statt was in the Corvette, acting like she didn't know. Where to go? I was like, Stad, drive the car. Stat would get in the car and push navigation and say, get away. Navigation. It's a type of get away. It can work.
Starting point is 00:52:36 The car's a drive got too many dang buttons, okay? I don't just, look, push start. Y'all got too many things going on. But I'll figure it out. I'll figure it out. He also said, just want to say, love you guys. Shout to Arabia, Maurice, Maurice, and everybody else to love from Singapore. Adrian. So Adrian, we appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:52:53 Shout out to Adrian and everybody in Singapore tuning in. We appreciate you. Yes. And then a little fun one, DJ Firestar from London. He said, has there been an opinion or take or situations so far on the show looking back that you wish went differently? Or maybe you just wish you hadn't said or addressed? And what has been the craziest call or message you guys have received regarding something from the show? Deep thoughts.
Starting point is 00:53:17 Yeah, that's super deep. I don't think we regretted anything we said. because I think we speak pretty candidly and honestly. And we're very unapologetic. That's what I do like about this show versus other shows. You never hear us come back the next day and be like, well, I really didn't mean to say that. Or, you know, we stand by what we say. I think that's what we have over other shows.
Starting point is 00:53:43 But when you say what was one of the biggest or... Craziest call or message you receive regarding something from the show. Ah, man, just the people that... hit me up is pause be crazy. Like, like Jalen Brown is going to come on the show.
Starting point is 00:54:00 And I think Riddick Bow hit me out of nowhere. He hit me too. He said, Tell Cam. Shout out of Riddick Bow. I told him
Starting point is 00:54:13 I'm going to call him back. He texts me, but I didn't realize it was sent him to later because I don't, when it's just a number, I don't be looking at the text till later.
Starting point is 00:54:22 Yeah, so When you got champions reaching out to you and people that you watch, you know, execute excellence in the sport that they play, that's really cool. It's more than one. It's several. Several athletes in my DMs, good and bad. You know, it's a bunch of athletes that's good. They're saying they love the show, want to be on the show. And there's several athletes talking about who am I to be talking about what they do.
Starting point is 00:54:50 It's really amazing. You know what I'm saying? It's amazing because the thing about, that's why I was saying on a previous show, when we say something, it matters. It matters more. And I think because of, Mace, because of where we came from before we y'all here.
Starting point is 00:55:13 It's like, for instance, right, when we first started doing this show, a shout to my man, we, you know, it's all love. But we talk about Patrick Beverly. and we was critiquing him about whatever it was. We used critiquing him three years ago. And he was like, damn, how are you going to talk about my game? I just watched Payton Full last night.
Starting point is 00:55:33 What did they got to do with anything? That has nothing to do. But whatever we was talking about at the time, let's say he scored six points. Watching Payton for last night has nothing to do with you scoring six points. And even though that might not be exactly what it was about, people see where we came from and sometimes it's hard to take people out of a box
Starting point is 00:55:56 that's why I'm so happy we've been consistently doing this show so now you respect what we say when it comes to sports or comes to cultural topics or comes to other things because they know, you gotta realize this even with Mace, right? Mace is a super duper star in the 90s Mayer drop one joint early 2000 and then he left.
Starting point is 00:56:17 He started doing church and then he was off the scene. So when this show, my opinion is, and he could correct me if we're wrong, you get to see his personality. Even when you're in the 90s and in the early 2000s, it's no internet. It's no social media. So when myself does an interview, you get 20 minutes of the radio station. You get 10 minutes on BET Uncut. You get an article where you may read something.
Starting point is 00:56:44 You may get the newspaper. You don't get this right here. You know what I'm saying? The technology wasn't there for us at the time. And so now when we first started doing the show, I remember Mace was, niggas is like, yo, I know Mace was that funny. Mace is a funny nigger.
Starting point is 00:56:58 Yo, Mace is smart. Yo, I didn't know Mace was that smart. Yo, Mesa's intelligent. You get to see somebody's personality outside of the 5, 10, 20, 30 minutes that you see only on a radio and only can be dictated, about with the radio station or a television show
Starting point is 00:57:19 that you were on to promote only basically there to promote your project. So, it's kind of long wonder on the answer, but that's the answer. Yeah, and I think it's crazy that like the range of the show, like from the people when I'm in an airport or different places, it's everything from old white ladies to little kids.
Starting point is 00:57:43 People, it's interesting to see that they think they know me and Keller for being sports analysts is funny. And they're like, they go to God from the sports show. Yeah, I get a lot of that to an airport. It's fire, though. Y'all did that. That's what I will say. But great questions, everyone.
Starting point is 00:58:01 Like I said earlier, if you want to send in a question or come on the show and ask directly, make sure you guys send it to the email up on the screen. But y'all, that is all the time that we have for today. Thank you all for watching. And as always, it is what it is. E.
