Killa, what's good? Stat, you back. How you feel?
I feel great. I was watching the episodes. There was a lot happening when Nick was on the stage.
So that was good to see.
Would you say blood of Eldridge Cleaver?
Eldridge Cleaver, man.
I was like, what is happening? Do you even know who Eldridge Cleaver? Eldridge Cleaver, man. I was like, what is happening?
Do you even know who Eldridge Cleaver is?
Wasn't he?
What is that?
What is that?
Wasn't he part of the Black Panther Party?
Gotta ask just to make sure.
Just to lead her for a minute.
But see why?
You know why you gotta fuck with Eldridge?
Because Eldridge was still fucking white bitches.
That's why I fuck with Eldridge.
He picked and choose how he wanted to do it.
He was preaching black but sleeping white.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Eldridge Cleveland was fucking white.
That's why I fuck with Eldridge like that.
Mace, is it cool for white people to say nigga around you?
That's a good question.
Is it?
Um, no.
No, absolutely not. How about you, Stat?
No.
No.
I like this accent.
They said it around Stat in Jacksonville.
Let me blow my hood up.
Somebody has said it before.
In Jacksonville, they definitely call you.
It was actually, no.
It was actually some white boys from Jersey.
Oh.
I was watching that Rick Ross altercation,
and them niggas was using the word nigga like they was niggas.
Like, yo, nigga.
Yo, nigga, fuck out.
Yo, nigga, nigga, nigga.
I was like, damn, these niggas, they just flagrant.
I let white people, white females say niggas sometimes.
Never mind.
He set you up.
You know he set you up.
I'm not setting you up
I'm just telling you
I'm telling you
I let them see
I'm just saying
I let them see
I love that nigga dick
that's the only time
and I gotta tell them
to say it
they can't say it
on their own
I'm telling them
straight up
I love this nigga dick
I'm telling you man
I'm not mad at you,
Murda.
Yeah,
you're not,
you're not.
Yeah,
I'm just saying,
I like hearing that.
Kanye is in a lawsuit
about that.
Oh yeah?
What'd he say?
What happened?
He said,
um,
his,
his,
his privacy is racist.
Oh yeah,
he did say that.
His privacy is racist.
What,
meaning what?
He said, beat that nigga
Oh oh
Oh I
Oh no see
Oh no no see
You know niggas on the internet
Nah you right
He take it too far
Talking about beat that
I said tell me you love it
Show love i didn't
know that i make it crazy though well glad to be back oh yeah good to have you back start
lovely mornings okay so lebron james has agreed to a two-year 104 million dollar maximum deal
to return to the lakers. It includes a player option
and no trade clause.
How do you guys feel about him
taking the max deal?
Obviously, he is LeBron James,
but I want to know
what you guys think about that.
I mean, this is LeBron James.
He's worth every dime
that he requests.
Clutch Sports knows that.
Shout out to Rich Paul
and that whole brand, that whole company,
that whole family, and the James family.
It just seemed like it's a phenomenal year for them, you know,
with Bronny being picked, with Bronny getting his thing going,
and with LeBron being able to consistently do what he's already done.
do what he's already done.
He's at, it says that LeBron last year was averaging 25, 7, and 8, right?
So at 40 years old, to be averaging almost a triple-double in the league,
you got to take your hat off for that.
So, you know, I want to make sure I put that respect on his name because a lot of times when I'm talking, I'm giving objective views
just for commentary, but you got to put that respect on his name. Because a lot of times when I'm talking, I'm giving objective views just for commentary.
But you got to put that respect on his name.
If he wants to know Trey Claus, they got to give it to him.
It ain't like they can give it to anyone else.
I think this is basketball excellence, you know, up there with the best.
I wouldn't say at his best, but up there with the best.
Up there with the best.
I wouldn't say at his best, but up there with the best. This is as good as it's going to get in his generation until somebody new come with that work ethic.
He's done a phenomenal job with what he's done every step of the way, whether it was his image, whether it was pursuing greatness, whether it was trying to win every year.
He's done a lot for the game.
So they couldn't have paid him enough money.
I don't think 53 is enough, and it's comparable because I'm looking at the other people that's getting that same 51.5 or somewhere in there.
LeBron should make more money than everybody until somebody proved that they're better than him.
That's how I believe.
money than everybody until somebody proved that they're better than them that's how i believe so the way my mind works it works when it works for you and it works when it works against you so
today it works in his favor oh yeah listen man everybody know lebron was gonna get the money
it isn't like it's a secret uh the lakers are running a mom and pop shop over there.
That's what they do.
That's a good way to look at family business.
Yes, mom and pop.
You know, I had seen, shout out to my homegirl Trista,
I seen her talk about this a while ago.
And it's very family orientated at the Lakers. But what she made a great point is,
you know, when you want to spend money
and go into luxury tax,
she didn't get this in debt with it.
But the Lakers, you know,
they're not as rich as Steve Ballmer
and everybody else,
all these other organizations.
A lot of owners,
this is what she said actually,
what she was talking about,
a lot of owners have other is what she said, actually, what she was talking about. A lot of owners
have other businesses
that make them billionaires.
Jeannie Buss and them
just depended on the Lakers
to make a turnaround.
It's very family-oriented.
We always talked about,
not always,
I mean,
the last couple weeks
we talked about nepotism
because of LeBron James
and his son
and so on and so forth.
Jeannie Buss
is a direct descent of nepotism.
Father started the Lakers.
He did it down to her and her brothers.
They're doing the same shit.
I'm not mad at it, though.
I'm actually saluting it to give props to it.
Family business is always a good business.
That's not true.
Sometimes you can't do business with family.
I'm not going to act like that's always true mean when it works yeah when it works yeah yeah when it
works absolutely when it works it's spectacular nobody you don't like to see anybody you would
not like to see anybody more than somebody your siblings your loved ones make money with you
but sometimes they feel that entitlement as well yeah sometimes you can't get a murder
just really i have several family members i haven't spoken to in years
because remember i tried to let my brother um do road manager yeah yeah yeah mike two
might have been dead mike might have been indicted by now it might have been crazy
Mike might have been indicted by now.
It might have been crazy.
It might have been wild if Mike was doing it. Mike, you can't shoot the promoter.
Yeah.
Mike's a wild nigga.
But, yeah, at the end of the day, man,
I knew LeBron was going to get this.
What I want to do is, not now, not today,
I was looking through some stats earlier,
just when I was doing my homework or some other stuff,
through some stats earlier just when i was doing my homework or some other stuff and we give him uh
lebron james a lot of credit for doing what he's doing because it is outstanding yeah and we always talk about how michael jordan came back at 40 and he did a thing for the uh wizards so on and so
forth but after doing some homework today and i want to come back and revisit it because i know we're not talking about that we gotta stop leaving kareem abdul-jabbar off these
lists big like bro had a finals mvp at 42 years old had another finals mvp of like 30 30 40 39 or
40. and low-top shell toast yeah so we always you know run the kobe bryant run the lebron james
run a mic with joy and i feel why kareem is really upset like yo niggas be acting crazy like
my nigga i wasn't out here doing this at 4900 years old my nigga and on every level yeah exactly
but especially as we all know like right now for the last year and a half, at least, LeBron's going to be 38. He's going to be 39. He's going to be 40. He's not even 40 and we're calling him 40. And this man is winning finals, not only finals, getting the MVP in the finals. of a day about his accolades because i was looking at all his accolades after 35 and it was fucking
ridiculous to where no disrespect to bronze my brother but we're just saluting the nigga for
going crazy at 38 39 years old like he's out here killing one i think we kind of seen it not to the
level or the not gonna say not the level not the way lebron's doing it it may seem a little boring
to the new basketball fan to
jump hook or whatever you may say the sky hook i'm part of me the sky hook but i always just
argue me me and and and saying i haven't be having a problem about how the way the ball go
in the basket yeah i don't care how the ball goes in the basket. You want to shoot underhand? Spent off the backboard.
It doesn't matter.
Yeah, I don't like his game.
I don't care how the ball goes in the basket.
As long as it goes in the basket.
You know, that's what he's talking about.
Was Rich Parker good?
I said, Rich Parker was good, man.
He said, what did he do?
I said, he put the ball in the basket.
Repeatedly.
Yeah, that's what it's about.
I don't like the way he looking when he do it.
It's not about the way he
looks, bro. The ball goes
in the basket. So shout out to Kareem. Of course,
shout out to LeBron and congratulations, Rich Paul.
Rest of the clutch sports, the
James family making sensational moves.
But one of these days, we have to revisit
Kareem's accolades at least after
30 minimum.
And then the details of Bronny James' contract was revealed.
So he signed a four-year, $7.9 million rookie contract.
Do you guys feel like he's getting too much guaranteed money
as a second rounder?
I know we just gave LeBron a lot of props.
But now y'all pushing it.
No, let me stop.
You know, I wish Bronny the best.
It's just, this is a messed up situation for several reasons
that I don't want to get too in-depth about,
but I think it's just people are
handling it the wrong way. You know, it's, it's a better way to handle this. Uh, but I wish,
I wish anybody's child that made it to this point, um, nothing but success. But I think when people
get on, on, uh, um, what they call it, the press conference and they say, Oh, he worked, he, um, what they call it, the press conference. And they say, oh, he worked. He,
he, um, did a lot of work to be here and he deserved to be here. I think that's, that could
be refuted. But when you say somebody's gotten a 7.9 deal, million deal for four years and a guy
you drafted in the first round
doesn't has a contract yet.
That's where it's going wrong.
It's not hate towards Bronny.
It's just how they're going about it.
That's making it look bad.
So for the optics is like, how do I get picked 17th in the first round?
And I don't have a contract and you get picked 17th in the first round and I don't have a contract and you get picked 55th and you have
a contract and you average four points in college. And I was a terror in college. So, I mean, at some
point you got to acknowledge that and say, you don't have to acknowledge it, but don't act like you don't know where the reprimanding is coming from.
Because I heard one guy who got on TV,
he was like, this just got to stop.
And I'm not at that point where it's got to stop.
But even J.J. Redick is getting up there
and he's trying to smooth things over
and make it seem like, he said, no, we're going to work with this and we're going to.
He's a great player in this.
And I'm like, you can't say a person is great that haven't even had summer league yet.
Now, I've been in basketball since I was about seven years old and I've never seen a person. I mean, never.
I've never seen a person get a multi-year deal.
With four points.
Now, if y'all can find it, you let me know, but I've never seen it and not guaranteed.
So you talk about you talking about and this it may be from God, you know. So who am I to
say? I believe in God. Maybe God just blessed them for everybody hating on Ronnie. Maybe God
blessed them. Maybe God just say, you know, give them give them the millions. Now, if that happened,
I'm all for it. But don't sit me down and tell me that that he deserved this. No, I can't go with that.
Can't at all.
And I love clutch sports.
I love the Bronny James game.
I'm waiting to see Mikey Williams, but I'm definitely fooling with Bronny.
I want to see him do his thing.
Just for the coach, I think it would be great.
But 7.9, does he deserve it?
He could still deserve it, but take care of the guy
Rob Palenka
and Jeannie
Buss that you picked 17.
Why not give him a contract
first?
I totally disagree with
everything Mace just said.
Don't get mad at him because he's not a good agent
because his father made it happen.
Yeah, you're right.
Know who I got a call from today?
I didn't get a call from him.
I got a text from Shamgar today saying that Tobias' father, Harris,
Tobias Harris' father, pardon me,
seen what we said yesterday and said,
yo, good looking, appreciate the shout out.
They know what they doing.
You can't get mad at them niggas.
How you mad at them? The niggas actually
called and said, yo, killer, good looking
man for shouting us out. You see what
we out here doing? I don't give a fuck
what my son average. I don't care
what he got going on. We gonna grab
this 54 million.
So shout out. I forget his first name,
but Sham definitely called
and told me he wanted
to tell us thank you
for shouting niggas out.
Are you mad at
Tobias Farber,
Tobias,
I keep calling him
Tobias Harris Farber?
No.
I'm not.
I ain't mad at him.
Now the nigga
in the first round murders
talking about,
that's his agent's problem.
That's his father
not being there probably.
Yeah, you right.
You right.
Let me clear that up,
killer.
Because if somebody don't handle your business
and another person get a good deal,
I would say the nigga hating on me.
So I got to take that back.
Pause.
I do got to take that back.
Because if my manager ain't do his job,
but your manager got you $84 million
and you're trashed,
then that's my manager. and that's the point and
i'm not calling brony trash i just wanted to say that no i get what you're saying and that's what
i'm saying this is what happened i'll give you another scenario real quick and it's not basketball
related but it is sports related um what's that it's that white nigga we that used to be on First Take? I'm drawing a blank.
Skip Bayless. Skip Bayless
left to go to
Fox.
FS1.
Sorry, I was drawing a blank for a minute.
He went to FS1.
His initial deal when he first left ESPN
was a five-year
deal at $5 million perPN was a five year deal
at five million dollars
per year with a five million dollar
signing bonus
which was
sensational at the time
Stephen A deal was up
Stephen A fired his agent
and got Skip Bayless agent
how he getting that I know this was
his show but I'm the charisma
I'm the charisma.
I'm the charm.
I'm that nigga.
Fired his agent,
got skipped bailiff's agent,
and then made $10 million a year for five years.
So he says,
excuse me,
got the nigga who got skipped five.
So if you got him five,
I know what you could get me,
nigga.
And went and got him the 10.
So I know this is not
the same scenario,
but sometimes you need to recognize
who's handling your business.
Because now what you could
do is, if I'm Rich Paul, what I
do is, ain't you finished that
up yet?
You need to be clutch.
Yeah, we would have Saran wrapped
that two, three hours after
you got drafted. Yeah, we got him
8 million with four points.
Yeah, you see, Bronny, nigga,
he acting crazy out here.
That shit ain't situated.
I can't tell you what to do.
That's exactly right.
Yeah, I can't tell you what to do,
but if it was me,
we available.
Hand nigga my card. So i'm not mad at it
and then listen i'm not gonna sit here and say like nigga said we're about to talk to somebody
and it's not four points murder but then we don't have to talk about the nigga cal he averaged six
points got 30 amps yeah so we're gonna talk about that in a minute but you're right at the end of
the day agent yeah so at the end of the day. He's your agent. Yeah, so at the end of the day, congratulations, LeBron James.
Congratulations, Bronny Jr.
Congratulations to Savannah.
I'm waiting for you, Bryce.
I want to see the whole family wrap this shit up and make a movie about this shit.
So I'm not hating.
I'm congratulating.
I think it's dope.
And it's like my nigga Denzel said in training day it's not what
you know is what you can prove and that's a different i'm taking that scenario to this
scenario it ain't what your average is what you could get yeah they got the max both of them or
what they could get that's a pretty should be a pretty happy household right now.
Yeah, and I think, Bronny, if you're watching this,
you should just take all of this stuff that people are saying and use it as motivation to be a brilliant basketball player
and reach the highest level of what you can do with your talent.
Listen, that's a great advice great advice to him. Absolutely.
But we got to think about this
and we're not putting this
into perspective
just because we haven't
talked about it.
Laker ticket sales is going up.
Yep.
The views is going up.
Imagine the first game
when Bronny gets in
and he's on the floor
with his father.
Everything stops.
I don't care what you're watching.
I don't care if you're watching a thriller,
a comedy, a scary movie,
another basketball game.
Everything is going to stop
to see what happens when LeBron James
gets on the floor with his son
because that's what people want to see.
God forbid he throw him alley-oop.
That's what I was thinking.
He throw him alley-oop, nigga.
First alley-oop. Yeah, it's
going to be crazy. And they practicing
that at home now. I'm going to set the
back screen for us, and
it's going to go bananas for us.
So at the end of the day,
all this is in the
negotiations. Come on, Gene.
Come on, Rob. You know these ticket sales
going up. You know the views is going up.
Everybody been waiting to see this.
So it isn't like they robbing niggas.
They getting what they pay for.
It's like Caleb and Clark.
If you sell tickets, you got to apply that same thing.
You can't get mad that this is what sell tickets.
The Aces played the Fever, I believe, the night before last.
Regular ticket was $70 for the Aces.
It was $600.
The $70 tickets were $600 that night.
You could say you got it all you want.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm saying relax.
Tell that to staff.
You could say you got it all you want.
Yeah, but that's what is that?
That's almost, it's not $1 not a thousand but it's like a 800 percent
ticket sale increase because she's in town how's a 70 ticket go to 600 and that's what's going to
happen with the laker tickets this year don't let him start playing good because if he start playing
decent yeah average about eight or something like that three and four one of these yeah yeah exactly
one of these so at the end, exactly. One of these.
So at the end of the day,
I think everybody will get their money's worth.
We'll see what happens though.
Okay.
And then just to clarify,
like I know you guys are saying like,
the agent did it.
It's not brawny.
You're obviously happy family.
It's going to get people in the seats.
But Woj reported that he's expected to play
the majority of his rookie year
with the G League team, the South Bay Lakers.
Do you guys still feel like the contract is fair?
Just wondering.
Play with the G League?
For a majority of his first year.
No, I'm not buying that.
I don't think that's what the people are paying $600 for the ticket for.
They want to see.
I'm kidding you not.
Like, I thought about it, right?
As much as I'm a basketball purist, I'm a realist as well.
So if he's bringing a ball up, he can't be any different than what they already have in a sense. It's like
you can't. I could be good in good shape probably with the Lakers, with the team that they have.
All you have to do is not mess up and don't beat yourself. Pause. You already got LeBron.
You got AD. Now there's other guy that they got that's a shooter.
So if you're any way
a slasher and you can dish out
the people, you can have a field
day on this team. Especially
you got shooters all around you.
You got Austin.
What's his name? Austin.
Austin Reeves. Then you
got the new white boy.
And I think a player that everybody is forgetting about is Doug Christie's
son.
I forgot.
I forgot his name,
but he's dead.
Nice.
He's dead.
Nice.
Like I think he's number 10 or something like that.
That team be,
it will be easy to play on that team.
So I don't see them putting them in no G league.
Why put them in a G league?
Cause if somebody exposed,
if somebody go crazy on him,
it's over.
The dog died in the G League.
Pause.
I think that he may spend
a little bit of time
in the G League
and LeBron won't.
What LeBron want?
That's just that.
LeBron gets what LeBron wants. I think LeBron, if anybody's going to analyze him in the G League and LeBron won't want what LeBron wants. That's just that. LeBron gets what LeBron wants.
I think LeBron, if anybody's going to analyze him in the G League,
it'll be LeBron and LeBron say, all right, time to bring him up.
I think that's what the real case is going to be.
And more power again to LeBron James.
There's no way that LeBron James is going to sit there and say,
no, my son's doing his thing.
I think we should bring him up, and they don't
bring him up. You don't want LeBron James mad,
and we've seen that throughout his
career. You piss him off, he'll leave.
Pat Riley, he was acting crazy. I gotta
go.
I can't even think of the owner's name in Cleveland.
Oh, you acting crazy. Yeah, Gilbert.
Yeah. Dan Gilbert.
I gotta go. LeBron doesn't even talk to niggas when you you acting crazy. Yeah, Gilbert. Yeah. Dan Gilbert. I gotta go. LeBron
doesn't even talk to niggas
when you start acting crazy.
So at the end of the day, I don't
think tickets will be 600, like making
that comparison I just made if he played in the G
League, but at the end of the day,
Woj gets a lot of great information.
A lot. But he's not
Jesus Christ.
He just doesn't know everything, name woes made a report yo
lebron called clay thompson plays in dallas yeah you know like cut it out like i'm bogey
there's a lot of different for me i'm not saying he don't but everything ain't solidified yeah you
know i'm saying it's sitting we're sitting here in the beginning of July. By the way,
happy 4th of July
to everybody.
And we don't know
what this kid's going to do
in summer league.
We don't know if he plays
his first week or two
in the G League.
And we don't have any idea
because if he's acting
crazy in summer league,
I don't even think
it'll be a G League.
And I don't know
if that's going to happen.
I'm given different scenarios.
But because Rose said it, that don't mean it's Lord.
Now, Woj is good.
I'm not discrediting him.
Woj be beefing with my other nigga.
I can't even think of that nigga's name.
Yeah, yeah, Shams.
Shams, yo.
They beef as crazy.
I like Shams.
Shams be shitting on Woj like, oh, nigga.
Think he got the drop.
I got the drop. If y'all people don't know Shams, Shams is like Woj's like, old nigga. Think he got the drop. I got the drop.
If y'all people don't know Shams, Shams is like Woj.
He's just not on ESPN.
Actually, I think he came up under Woj.
Yeah, he did.
And what happens is a lot of times the players deal with Shams
and the owners of GM be dealing with Woj, so they say.
But their beef is a leverage.
So Shams is a reliable source too, super reliable source.
So a lot of people that don't know Shams, Google him.
I think he has a better idea when it comes to the players,
and Woj has a better idea when it comes to contracts.
So when you think of Bronny James, Thanksgiving he will not,
if it's a game on Thanksgiving, he will not be in the G League.
So all this 80%.
If it's a Christmas game on television, he will be on that court.
It's too many rating dollars for him not to be on that court.
So just so we could put that in perspective, all that 80%.
Nah, nigga, if we on TV, Bronny is going, Bronny is going to have
warm-ups on.
You better believe that.
Because it just look good
for the optics.
It's Christmas Day.
You're not going to have
LeBron
playing in LA.
What's the,
what's the name of the city?
Or the G League?
It's South Bay Lake.
South Bay Lake.
Bronny can't be in,
in San Diego
playing or wherever that team is at. Can't do it. You got to be right there. South Bay Lake, Ronnie can't be in San Diego playing
or wherever that team is at.
Can't do it.
You got to be right there.
I don't think they did all of this to put them in the G League.
I'm going to go on record about that.
Well, we will see what happens.
And when we get a second, let's Google the honest contract.
The Nassus, the honest, the nasus the honest theatrics yeah i was doing some study on that
about like because i knew we was gonna get to that place where you're like um
yannis brother and it was like yannis brother got drafted by the knicks and then he got on the buck
so that's people's argument that he was already drafted.
It's not like his brother just brought him in the league.
So that's the difference between him and LeBron.
You brought him in versus another team saw that Giannis could play.
The Nassus.
The Nassus could play.
And then he was brought over to the Milwaukee Bucs.
And he has a $2.3 million contract with that minimum.
Whole shit is, like they said, the Knicks grabbed him or whatever.
I did a deal with Def Jam with diplomats.
And then I got three, four of a joint venture deal just because the diplomats,
which pop niggas wanted to be part of it.
They said, yo, maybe we didn't see
this happening with Giannis.
Yeah.
Maybe his brother might be,
all right,
that's what I'm taking.
Yeah, that's what happened.
Yeah.
So I could sit and be like,
no, another team want him.
No, you want to be part
of the whole family operation
and think that it was
going to be the same
and it wasn't.
So last thing
before we move on
from the Lakers,
got to discuss the coaching staff.
So they are hiring Nate McMillian,
excuse me,
and Scott Brooks as top assistant coaches
on J.J. Redick's new staff.
Do you guys think that this is enough
to help J.J. Redick
or are you assuming it'll be a rough year
or you think it'll go pretty smoothly?
You don't know who Nate McMillan is?
I do.
I just butchered
the last name.
I was about to say,
that's the,
that's the supersonics,
Nate McMillan.
This is actually
a great,
a great
two people to add.
When you think of
Scott Brooks,
right?
Mm-hmm.
He did a phenomenal job
out there in OKC
when Russell Westbrook was young.
James Harden coming off the bench.
And even with KD,
he did a lot with grooming him
into stars.
So he definitely has the understanding
of how to deal with young talent
and how to get young talent to win. So he definitely
had that cachet. And when you think of Nate McMillan, and there's so many other things I
could say about Scott Brooks, he also did well in D.C. when he was coaching the Wizards and
John Wall and them getting them to make it to the postseason several years back to back.
So he's definitely a guy that can get a lot of things out of players.
And when you ask somebody like Nate McMillan, I remember because I was living in Atlanta when he came down to Atlanta and he took over that team.
He took Atlanta to the playoffs.
I think they beat Milwaukee or something like that.
We was thinking Trey Young was the next something.
We didn't know what it was, but he had that team looking alive.
And then the very next year, he ran into some player problems with one of the players,
and he had to get released.
So he's always been a good player, player, coach, enable.
Even though that went bad, he's able to get the maximum out of the talent.
And I think when you bring that kind of history and put that with J.J.
Redick, it give him a lot of different eyes and a lot of different optics for him to see things from different views,
because the way he may think is one way and having them around, I have them, you know,
very balanced and that's what he's going to need as a young coach.
Not that I would know,
but that's what I would assume.
Yeah.
Nate McMillan wasn't coaching the Sonics when Kevin Durant was there.
I'll just say that,
but great add on.
Absolutely.
Besides that,
everything else you said was pretty good.
No,
I mean,
and he played,
he played with the Super Bowl. Oh, Nate McMillan. Yeah. Yeah. I thought you meant when he coached. else you said was pretty good. No, I mean, he played with the Supersonics.
Who?
Nate McMillan.
Yeah, yeah.
I thought you meant when he coached because you said Kevin Durant.
No, no, no.
Because he did coach the Supersonics too.
No, I was talking about Scott Brooks.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, yes.
Because Nate McMillan definitely coached the Supersonics. He was an assistant coach, and he was a head coach with the Supersonics as well.
And I was going to bring that point up as well when he was in atlanta uh you see i think he was an intern coach yeah then they kept
him because he did a really good job uh look when you got somebody with a great mind like nate
mcmillan not just as a player i mean pardon me not just as a coach as a player that makes a
difference so sometimes people respect the coaches that are players also.
We'll see what happens.
Scott Brooks, definitely another great basketball mind,
high IQ.
Everybody's high in his form of players and form of coaches.
Seems like he's loading up a good staff
and he's going to need that expertise
or that experience being that J.J. Redick
has no experience.
So to bring in people with that experience, uh,
it says a lot.
The thing about it is we'll wait and see if he accepts guidance from them,
or I don't know if that's the right word or advice because they'll say we've
been here.
Yeah,
exactly.
Pause.
Even though they've been coaching for a while,
sometimes they just be like, like yeah but did y'all
win i'm trying to win you know niggas start throwing that around i dig it when you had your
turn but did you win all that's in play everything is available so we'll wait and see how this turns
out amongst everybody yeah you know the coaches who do that they don't win though niggas who don't take advice yeah
that's why you got the people there to tell you the thing that you wouldn't say or to tell you
the thing you wouldn't you wouldn't know murder listen man listen cut the shit cut the shit and
when i say cut the shit i was i could see you saying that i could see you hiring somebody who's been coaching 10
years and it ain't going right and then they try to tell you something like nah but did you win
i could i would bet my house on that you would do the same thing
no but that's why I said cut the shit.
Because listen, I'll give you a great example.
Niggas, and this means no disrespect,
and this doesn't mean that they don't have great advice,
but niggas with no money be trying to tell niggas with money what to do. And then be...
and I'm not going to act like I'm not guilty of it
why you ain't do that
plan for yourself
you telling me
what I should do
why you
you should use that plan
for you
I've seen that happen
so
I just
I'm not disagreeing.
Shout out to Ray Strummers.
Take your own advice.
Yeah.
Take your own advice.
Do me a favor, don't do me no favors.
So we'll wait and see what happens, man.
We'll wait.
Oh, man.
We're going to go to break.
When we return, we will discuss the Warriors' off-season moves.
Don't go anywhere.
All of shit.
Yeah, we the shit.
Shit all year round is money season.
Yes.
Every flip counts.
I got rich over this bounce.
Girl, ain't no sales in Gucci.
We ain't looking for a discount.
No.
No.
My man Sin City said, it's only money.
It's only money.
Ain't no sales in Gucci, baby. It's only money. It's only money. It's only money. Ain't no Silky Gucci, baby.
It's only money.
It's only money.
It's only money.
Why you like it funny?
Why you like it funny?
Yeah, it's only money.
It's only money.
It's only money.
Welcome back.
Now let's get into our underdog fantasy picks of the day.
So tonight, the Aces will play the Mystics.
Underdog fantasy has Asia Wilson at 27 and a half points. Never higher, the Aces will play the Mystics. Underdog Fantasy has Asia Wilson at 27.5
points. Never higher,
lower, Mace. Who are they playing
again? The Mystics.
She's going to have a great game,
but I don't know if she's going to have higher than 27.
I'm going lower.
She'll have 25,
24 or something.
I think she'll have around.
I'm going to go higher.
She's been acting crazy.
She's been acting real crazy lately.
I ain't going to hold you.
Since that press conference when she was crying,
she's been acting real crazy.
I don't know if Bam had to talk about what's been going on,
but Aces is back winning again.
She's back in play looking marvelous.
Talking about as far as basketball is concerned,
I'm going to go higher. Okay.
Kelsey Plum is at 24 points
and assists. Do you have her higher or lower?
Lower.
Lower. Okay. And then Ariel Atkins
is at one and a half three-pointers made.
Do you have her higher or lower? Many. One and a
half three-pointers made. Higher.
Higher as well. download the underdog
fantasy app and you can make your picks too so free agent kyle anderson is planning to sign a
three-year 27 million dollar deal with the warriors just in general speaking of his deal
and the moves that the warriors have made are we liking what they've decided to do so far?
I'm really happy that Kyle got this money
being a fellow Metropolitan player,
you know, from New Jersey.
You know, I'm really happy he got this money for him,
his entire family, everybody up in Jersey,
all his former coaches,
because, you know, the money go far when you're from the city.
So I'm really thankful for that.
But when I look at him going to Golden State,
Golden State is definitely in a rebuild.
For them to do this and to be spreading money like this,
this is definitely a sign that it's a rebuild.
I like this for Cal, but I do not like this for Golden State.
They need players that could really contribute. Not that Cal can't contribute, but they need more
contribution than this. When you're getting rid of Klay, even though Klay is an old Klay, Klay has
the potential to give you 21 night, even if it's not every night.
You need some real players because once you start taking, you only have, what's his name?
Stephen Curry.
And then you have the rest of these people.
I mean, you need some players that can get you 30.
They need pullback.
If they're going to start spending that money, they got to think about getting pulled back.
They got to get Andrew Wiggins
out of there.
I like Wiggins, but I
think he needs to be somewhere
closer to his family somewhere else.
Why? So he can watch his girlfriend?
Whatever
got his attention just is
ruining the Golden State brand.
And I know Michael Dunleavy
is up there running things.
They got to get this in order.
This is a hot mess.
Yeah, listen.
I don't like losing Golden State.
Me neither.
I don't like it either.
Listen, it happens though, man.
Like I'm going to say Antonio Fair.
It's been bad for years for us, man.
It's been bad.
It happens.
When you get these dynasties and players get older
or they're getting their feelings like Clay, et cetera, et cetera,
it gets bad.
It gets bad for a period of time.
Like I said, there's only a few franchises that can sustain
not going, not tanking, so to speak.
Not saying they're tanking, but with a bad record.
I was looking at the stat today, actually.
I mean, not today, early this morning.
I was up early before we got here.
And the Lakers has not finished higher than a 60 in, I think, 2012 or 13,
something like that.
I was half asleep, but I was looking at the shit.
And the Lakers, we're talking about,
has not been higher than a six seed.
We're talking about the play-in now and everything else,
but that's the Lakers.
They haven't been a one seed, one through five,
they haven't been in over eight years at least.
I don't want to get the year wrong.
So it's only a few franchises
that can sustain a hit.
Lakers are one of them
because they continuously
make the playoffs.
Not when Kobe was going out bad
towards the end.
Back to this nigga Cal.
Wow.
So bear with me two seconds
I was watching
a camp out in Vegas
out here in Vegas
and elite camp
and you know
some college
players or high school or
even pros and Chris
Paul is playing
Isaiah Thomas is out here playing college players or high school or even pros. And Chris Paul is playing.
Yeah.
Isaiah Thomas is out here playing.
I can't forget the other play, but they was in.
You really get to see the difference between a professional and an average nigga that thinks he's one of them niggas on the court
because Isaiah Thomas and Chris Paul was looking sensational, yo.
They was looking crazy, crazy, my nigga.
Now I'm talking about Michael Jordan to these niggas.
I'm sitting there like, damn, I got to stop dissing Chris Paul.
This nigga was looking crazy.
I'm sitting there like, this nigga.
I was like, damn.
The reason I'm bringing that
up is because the NBA is a different
monster. And when we say you
not shit or something like that, that's because
we're comparing you to your peers.
The reason I even said all this is because, Kyle,
you ain't shit like that. You good.
Go play
at Elite Camp so I can give you some
props. You averaged six. You shot 46%
and it was cool cool but you're not
that good when it comes to the nba like may said this this fuck is we talking about right now
nigga average six talk about four he's talking about name a nigga with floors a nigga with
two more points than the four nigga the nigga average nigga averaged six, murder. Nigga got 30. We talking about that 7.9.
30.
And I don't know
what stat was talking about when she
says, what do you think about the moves
Golden State has been making? What moves
have them been making, stat? What the fuck
have they been doing? They let go
of Chris Paul and Clay Thompson.
So, like, already, how do we feel about this?
Okay, bad moves. Okay, when you say moves, you didn do we feel about this? Okay, bad moves.
Okay, when you say moves, you didn't specify bad or good.
Okay, gotcha.
Clay Thompson was out whether they liked it or not.
They waved Chris Paul.
I think that was smart because it didn't look good for Chris Paul.
It didn't look good for Golden State.
As much as we give Chris Paul a hard time on this show,
Chris Paul is a fucking first ballot Hall of Famer.
One of the best point guards
of this generation.
He just hasn't won a chip.
And him going to San Antonio,
it's more than likely
he won't win a chip
because by the time
the ball gets rolling,
he'll probably be retired.
But just to go there and give the knowledge
to Wimby and whoever other young players they got
is exceptional. Let's think about this.
All we've done was talk
about DeAndre Ayton
getting frozen in the house. He missed the
game because his pinky toe was hurt.
Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Excuse after
excuse after excuse. Chris Paul took him to a championship
a few years ago.
We haven't talked about DeAndre Ayton since.
Not one time.
Chris Paul took him and Phoenix to a championship.
Now, we ain't going to act like Devin Booker.
He didn't have a lot to do with it,
along with other players.
But he was the point guard for that team
that took him to the championship.
All we do is talk about niggas
who get froze in the house now.
So, I think that's a great move on Golden State
and for Chris Paul to finish out his career
the way we want to see him
because I didn't want to see Chris Paul
finishing out his career backing up Steph Curry,
averaging six, seven points a game,
not even 10 assists, and you know he can still do that.
But as far as Kyle, like Mace said,
it's your money, nigga.
I ain't mad at it, but
is this going to make a difference? No.
Mace made a great point. They're probably
in a rebuilding phase, and that's
not good for Steph or Draymond
considering that they're Asian players.
Yeah.
Statt, I wanted to tell you
I saw a girl you got
to interview. Her name is Zam.
She's from North Carolina.
She's the best player in female sports.
Okay.
Fire.
Shout out, Zam.
We'll be discussing.
I don't know.
If you're here to see that girl that's going to Rutgers,
I can't even think of her name.
She better than that point guard that's going to Rutgers this year.
You know what I'm talking about?
Hi.
Hi, man.
Yeah.
I got to get you.
I was going to the gym and I was watching. I was watching the
highlights and I was like, yo,
she's out there like a nigga.
She's out there
like Sir Mix-a-Lot.
She look like she's from Harlem This girl that goes to Ruck, that's about to go to Ruckus. She look like she's from Harlem
with a jump shot
from Boston, Massachusetts.
I'm going to find out this girl.
She's going to Ruckus this year.
This girl,
you talking about looking like...
Yeah.
She looking like Marquis.
Yeah, that's...
In 86, nigga.
I'm going to pull up for you.
You're going to go,
nah, she like that.
The one you told me I got a jump shot?
I don't know.
To be honest with you, I've never seen the whole game.
But every school wanted her.
But you know how she went to Rutgers, so niggas like, you going to Rutgers?
Like, everybody wants you.
You talk about Texas, Baylor, South Carolina.
What position is she playing?
Oh yeah,
this girl I'm telling you
I'm going to smash her.
All right.
Her name is Zam.
Look out for her,
NC State.
I'm going to find out
the girl's name.
Okay,
we'll get to it for sure.
And then,
from what we've seen
so far in these past
couple of days,
what do you think,
or what team do you think has made the best free agency move so far?
What move do you like?
What team do you feel like is at the top right now, given what we've seen?
I really, really think when it comes to free agency,
that the Mavs did very well with Landon Clay.
I mean, it was the perfect player that they could have gotten.
But I also, if I'm being non-biased,
because I got a different connection with Dallas,
but when it comes to just basketball, I think the Murray trade is the one that shakes
up the West a little bit because you already had Zion. You already had Ingram. If they could be
healthy, that is a dangerous team. With Murray, just that perimeter right there is dangerous.
You know, the Pelicans, I think they did the best with free agency.
And so I would score.
Pelicans won.
Mavs second and San Antonio third.
I think everybody else is just jumping from team to team,
but it's not going to make that much of a difference.
And don't forget about the Knicks.
I think they will be...
Ah, man, I'm bugging.
I forgot about Philly and the Knicks.
Wow.
A lot has happened.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So let me take that back.
We got, I think New York and Philly is tied.
It's a three-way tie.
I think all of them did their thing.
New York and Philly is one.
Pelicans, two.
Dallas, three.
And whoever else.
The girl's name is Kiyomi.
Kiyomi?
Mick Miller.
Yeah.
One of the Rutgers.
Shout out to Kiyomi.
I seen her highlight reel.
I don't know the girl.
I'm not saying this.
I'm not even arguing what Mason's talking about.
Mason has an eye on a lot of high school players and drill music.
He knows that.
That's like his specialty, these days.
He does have an eye for that shit.
Now, this girl, this girl,
Zam is a part of the Mumba family, I'm telling you.
You know how some people are nice,
but then some people are dogs and nice?
So when it gets crazy or it gets out of control,
she just went crazy at McDonald's. That's what I was
looking at because I didn't I saw a year ago and she was like this little kid playing on a team
and she was playing the one on one games. And then she came back next year and she was McDonald's.
I was like, wow, she's the best player in North Carolina. So if you ask the girl Cam's talking about,
she's going to know this girl and say, nah, she's really like that.
I bet you, Kelly, you ask her and say, what's up with Sam?
You got her?
She's going to be like, yeah.
She's going to give you one of those like this.
Yeah.
You know that, yeah, when you know a nigga and you got to say you're better,
but you know you ain't better?
Yeah.
But look out for her.
I don't know her,
so it ain't like I'm pumping her
because I got something involved.
When I get...
Well, I'll take my take.
Let me take a look at that.
Let me see.
Far as free agency...
No, I'm just saying.
Praise to both, though.
Yeah.
Shout out to Free Agency.
Back to Free Agency.
Yeah, she got the boogie.
She definitely got the boogie.
That's what I'm telling you.
Shit is dangerous with that girl.
Back to Free Agency.
Why murder watchers there?
As far as we're going to do an order,
I'm going to say the best pickup is
the Sixers will it work the best
I'm not sure but they got the best
player available in free
agency let's do my list a little
different let's go top three players
the top three situations
top three players
I would say first is
Philly getting Paul George second is
Dallas getting Clay Thompson.
And third is Murray going to New Orleans. Those are my top three players. Now, the top three
situations may be a little bit different. My top three situations, first are the New York Knicks,
because signing, re-signing OG, it gets to keep the chemistry together that they have.
Even though he got there halfway through the season, last night, it's just like it fit like a glove.
I mean, last night, last season, it's like it fit like a glove.
It's like he'd been there.
It's like he knew them.
So to me, that's the number one situation.
The second situation, number two, is the Dallas Mavericks.
The second situation, number two, is the Dallas Mavericks.
Because we've seen them have trouble shooting.
And I'm not talking about P.J. Washington when he was open.
I'm not talking about Luka or Kyrie when they were open or had great situations.
They don't have a sniper sniper.
P.J. Washington was decent, but he's no Klay Thompson.
And this could definitely open the floor up for Kyrie and Luka even more.
Even though half the time you don't even need to open the floor for Kyrie.
But I think that's the second best situation.
And lastly, the New Orleans Pelicans.
I'm on the record saying this, not just without Murray.
If they're healthy, they're a top four or five seed in the western conference when healthy we haven't seen a healthy season from zion ingram been injured as of late uh there's no consistency and those
two players have to be there if they're going to make any noise but uh i definitely are looking
forward to cj mccullough and Devontae. Sorry, no disrespect.
Murray in the backcourt.
That should be really, really exciting.
We got to see a lot of great years with C.J. McCullough and Dame Lillard.
They didn't get over the hump, but C.J. still has a lot of basketball left in him.
And we see what Murray does when he's able to do it.
I'm excited.
So those top three situations, the Knicks, Dallas, and then New Orleans.
Then the top three players are Paul George, Klay Thompson, and then Murray.
That was a great analysis.
And then, Mace, I got to get a definitive answer from you.
So what do you think was the best player available?
Then now what do you think is going to be the best situation?
Just to compare. I'm curious. The best player available? Then now what do you think is going to be the best situation? Just to compare.
I'm curious.
The best player available.
That was.
Yeah.
Was was.
Paul George.
Paul George was the best player available.
The situation is going to be one of those two.
But if if if.
If DeMar Rosen can get to the Milwaukee,
that would be the best situation.
Or if Bruce Brown can make his way back to Denver,
that would be the best situation.
Or if DeMar DeRozan could get to Denver.
Yeah.
Anybody get to Denver is the best situation.
Even though they're saying he might go to the Heat,
but that's not a biased answer. That's just what I've been're saying he might go to the Heat, but that's not
a biased answer. That's just what I've been saying.
Who's going to the Heat? They're saying DeMar DeRozan could,
but we'll see. I don't know.
I think it'll be just another
three, though. They already
got enough threes. They got
Bam. What's the
white boy shooter?
Tyler. Not Tyler.
I know Hero. Duncan. Duncan Robinson.
Duncan.
It's like you're loading up the same position.
They need pause.
They need another tight player.
That's just what they saying.
And you got Triple J.
That's just what they saying.
Triple J, Rose.
Like, I don't know.
That's just what they saying.
What position does Triple J play?
He plays a couple different positions.
They put him where they need a fin of.
Bam doesn't play
the three though no i meant the um the the white boy shooter yeah duncan is he a three yeah yeah
so you got him you got hero why would you get another three yeah but he also had like injury
problems so like there's just a lot of different factors but i'm just saying what i've seen okay
that's my unbiased thing and niggas just want to live in Miami.
That's true.
Honestly.
That's really what it is.
At least at one point.
Three small forwards.
And sometimes Jimmy Butler could be the three.
So you got to, why would you get a four small forward?
Unless you're going to put them at the four and play small ball.
Then that will work.
Yeah.
We'll see what happens.
I personally think that the Sixers made really good moves,
even just down to their rookie, Jared McCain.
I'm excited to see him play.
So we will see what happens.
But with that being said, that is all the time that we have for today.
Thanks for watching.
And as always, it is what it is.
