Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome back to It Is What It is. I'm Treasure Wilson, aka Stat Baby, along with your host, Mace, and Cam. Stad, how you doing, man? Killer, what's going on, man? Good. It's really two minutes past. It's really two minutes past, but listen. I was here before you.
Starting point is 00:00:51 I'm going to really need a regroup to figure out what the rules are because I'm lost in the rules. I see switching of airphones. Yeah, I see switching of airphones. As long as you can hear me, I didn't even have no airphones. It don't matter about headphones or not. You can hear me. It makes you sound like, it looked like to me,
Starting point is 00:01:15 it looked like you just came from somewhere so you ready to shoot. Did you just come from an event or something? It looked like you. You made a makeup on a son like you was on TV something else or something. He just came from somewhere so you're ready to go.
Starting point is 00:01:36 What did you do today, man? What did you do today? Hey, Camp. As early, I just came from your uncle's spot, you know, eating breakfast. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:53 I don't know who more. What, Rastos? I don't know where you're. I don't know where you. Yeah, I was eating Rosco's. Okay. But, um, Stats. Yes.
Starting point is 00:02:07 Statt, let's go. You lip glossing and all that trying to slow us up, you know? I'm paying attention. No, I'm not slowing nothing down. He was asking about Rosco's and I like Rosco's. So I was like, hey, what we talk about? But we could get to the games. So the Thunder.
Starting point is 00:02:24 I wasn't asking about Rosco's stat just so, you know, my own actually owns Roscoe's the franchise. That's dope. That's what I'm saying. Like you had the hair plug yesterday that went away. Now we talk about the chicken waffles. I'm just, you know. I wasn't actually actually selling hair.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Somebody I was dealing with was a sponsor. I was a sponsor. You were an investor. And that, hey. Stad, where were you actually going for the hair? Where was I going? It was like a hole in the wall spot that my mom didn't want to take me to
Starting point is 00:03:01 because she said, I didn't need to be over there. But I was over there. It wasn't really an establishment. It was just, it was literally like a building with the window and it was boarded up, stapled boards,
Starting point is 00:03:13 and I walked up to the window and I DM in what I needed and I got what I needed. Oh my goodness. That's your explanation. I got to add to women that I know about this. Are they walking up?
Starting point is 00:03:27 to abandoned buildings to get bundles of hairs crazy. We're not abandoned buildings. You said the good stuff is in the abandoned building. Hey. It's different for everybody. That's what I will say. And it sounds crazy explaining it. I know it sounds crazy, but look, it's fine.
Starting point is 00:03:45 And you was like, they got the good stuff. They got the really good stuff in the abandoned buildings. Yeah. Bored it up. It'd be like that. Yeah. It's a place even when you get the good hands. Yeah, it's a dude, pause.
Starting point is 00:04:00 No disrespect, but it's a dude poise in the Bronx who do a storming some Patterson projects. They go to him that did it installed because they say he installed the best force. So they'll travel from Florida or wherever to go to Patterson and the Bronx. So this guy can do it. The South Bronx
Starting point is 00:04:18 to get their leaves installed. People are risking their lives Just for a bundle of hairs, wow. I wasn't even buying it from a woman. It was a man, a white man with grills. Like, I just got what I needed to get. Yes. A niggins in the braces.
Starting point is 00:04:39 A white man with grills. Yeah, shout out A1-3. He, hey. Your murder. You can't. You can't. You got a finish. Now, Phil, I want you to ask the question before I ask you that question.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Yeah. What's the plug name? You got the hand for cheap. It's been a second, but it was called, it's called Get That Up. Get That Up. That's what it is. It's fire. I didn't go lie.
Starting point is 00:05:13 If you're from Tampa, you know what I'm talking about. So I don't need to explain further. If you know, you know, that's all I'm going to say. Get that up. Get that up. Wow. murder, you kind of shine. You glistening on your outfit today?
Starting point is 00:05:29 What's going to do? It's kind of working. It's kind of shining, man. I know you're coming from somewhere with that on. You got to show an escape with somebody.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Where did you come from with that outfit on? Did I have a show an escape? Watch that. Killow you see it. Don't play with tiny them right now. No.
Starting point is 00:06:01 No. I'm not. Don't play with tiny them right now. I'm only, I'm only showing your range. How long you've been doing this? Look, they're cool you. I meant to tell you too.
Starting point is 00:06:15 I got to, I got to, I got I got the rock the bells. I have money for you. And if we want, I got to send it to you. But I'm just, I'm just trying to show your longevity. How long you've been. actually, you could do that
Starting point is 00:06:27 or you could come out with with your old Uzi Bert. I'm just showing your longevity. That's all. I think, you know, I'll get some balance though, man. You know what? Because we got to balance this out, man. Let's balance it out.
Starting point is 00:06:48 Oh, man. Yeah, y'all can continue up coming. I just got to balance it out for murder because, you know, you You got to keep yourself balanced. Okay, go ahead. So in the meantime, while he goes to get things ready to balance it out, the Thunder. Oh, I can't, like, up here, I can't see you, but got it.
Starting point is 00:07:09 So. No, I'm coming right back. Okay. Okay, good. So the Thunder beat the Nuggets 129 to 126. Obviously, we know the Thunder has all the hype right now, as they should. But we've seen that they've had a couple player injuries in between. So, Mace, how far do you think the Thunder can go with player injuries such as J-dub hasn't made his return?
Starting point is 00:07:29 We see Chet is out. What do you think about that? Yeah, I mean, when it comes to Oklahoma City Thunder, I don't think nobody can beat them. If it's not, the Spurs, nobody can beat them right now. You know, SGA, he's doing what he wants. He comes in as the swaggiest player of the NBA, you know, when it comes to the drip. I'm not really for the haul to top, but it just says he does. does what he wants to do. You know, he's feeling
Starting point is 00:07:56 a little oozy right now, you know? I won't say woozy no more. He's feeling a little oozy. And when he's wearing his light blue sneakers, I don't think anybody could stop him. That's, he's so good on the basketball court. He made me want to buy some converse.
Starting point is 00:08:13 And I haven't bought Converse since weapons. So let this be a statement to the whole Converse Nation. I haven't bought converse since sham and before that I think it was just weapons
Starting point is 00:08:30 and that was what 1980 something killer yeah Larry Bird Magic Johnson Isaiah Topman Isaiah Thomas they had the weapons right okay killers yeah the war outside
Starting point is 00:08:46 yeah as you was shiny I had to go this route we have to balance that's what I said It's a wall I'm sorry I'm saying That's what I said
Starting point is 00:09:02 Let me balance To show up You know How are you wearing That with the glass With the glass cabinet behind you The two doesn't go
Starting point is 00:09:14 Kemp Did you sneak in there See when you Wear that outfit It looked like you snuck in there See this is how you don't notice this 1980s grandma's shit right here, y'
Starting point is 00:09:26 This is the shit grandma had now this nostalgia right here, it's the old shit that has to place in it, nigga, it's a little modern, but this is the old school 1880 nostalgia back here,
Starting point is 00:09:43 this grandma's cat dream. Yeah, man, so I like that, exactly what you do. Yeah, I like that. Yeah, that's, yeah, I know,
Starting point is 00:09:52 look up the date because it's more modern but this is something styles they might have kept your encyclopedias in there and all that man the dictionaries and all that shit stack i know you said exactly what about okay c one more time yeah basically realistically how far do you think the thunder can go if they're going to have player injuries because we've seen jdub we've seen chet's out like what do you think about that think about it right that's a great question they haven't not been in first place. We're like, we're like an 85% of the season going, like maybe in between 80 and 85% of season.
Starting point is 00:10:30 And they're still in first place. Jay Dunn missed a whole lot of games, more than half the season. SGA missed a plethora games. And Dork missed a lot of games, and they're still in first place. So I think that J. Dub is staying out until the playoffs. I don't think he's missed so much that he hasn't have to have to rush back.
Starting point is 00:10:57 I think if it was dire straits, he would have been back by now, even if it's a decoy, if he's not 100%. But because of the lead that the OKC Thunder have, he's able to nurse himself back to health for the playoffs. I could be wrong. I don't have information on this. It's just my opinion. But it just goes to show the depth of the OKC.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Casey Thunder and the coaching staff over there. They're in first place the whole season. I'm not going to say from week one, week two. But the last three, four months, they've been in first place. It hasn't even been anybody in first place. Now, the Spurs are sitting two games behind them, two and a half games behind them. But even if they finish second, I don't think that would be a bad thing. But Mace is right.
Starting point is 00:11:42 I have to agree with Mace. If SGA is going to be there, to me that's what matters. matters. And that's what's going to get you to at least a minimum Western Conference finals now. We've seen them have some tough series, even in the championship last year at 1-7. They had a tough series with Denver last year. They went 7. So it ain't like it's a runaway, but you got to realize they were new to all this last year.
Starting point is 00:12:04 And now they have that experience, even though they're young. Chet has their experience. Dork has the experience. SGA has the experience. J. Dove has the experience. So I don't think it would hurt them. I think that they're resting everybody. properly, players are getting the right amount of minutes to rub up for the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:12:21 So I don't think injuries are hurt them as bad as it may hurt another team. Yeah, I don't think it's going to hurt them at all because I think what is doing is making their bench players get to the level of starters. And then when the starters come back, it's going to be like they have nine starters instead of five, which is going to be more of a problem because these guys been getting real reps the whole year. You're going to have Caruso and everybody else that's playing at a, at an all-time high because they're getting maximum minutes.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Yeah. Okay. So now let's look at the team they beat the Nuggets. I know there's always a lot of talk specifically right now, of course, about the Thunder and the Spurs. But at what point do you start to worry about Denver Mace? Because not to jump the gun, the gun, do you feel like their championship window is closing? Or do you just feel like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:13:16 anything is possible. We just got to wait out and see. No, I think as long as you got the joker on this team, the window of opportunity when it comes to championship is maximum, right? Even though I know I just gave this take about SGA,
Starting point is 00:13:33 as long as you got, you know, the same way, as long as you got Joker there, Joker at any night could have 50, 20, and 10 or you got 45, 20, and 15. So when you got a play of that magnitude and you got somebody like Murray that can constantly hit big shot after big shot,
Starting point is 00:13:53 whether it's to the lane, whether it's mid-range, whatever you're thinking about, you know, Murray can get done. And then you got players that are just surprised you as everything goes, which she normally does. And the other players that's on the team, this is a dangerous team. You just don't know who they are until they plan to playoff. so I'm not sure which Denver team will show up. But if it's the Denver of O, it's going to be a problem. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:27 They may have missed their window. Okay, good. But as far as Denver's concerned with them losing this game, it gives me pause to pause. Pause to pause, pardon me. Because Bruce Brown just came back, which he shouldn't have never left, even though he left for some paper.
Starting point is 00:14:48 I'm not mad at him. He got his championship. He wanted to get some paper. But to me, sometimes you have to just deal with things that you don't like when you want to win. And that's what it basically boils down to me, my personal opinion, right? We see these players that don't like their coaches and the owner and GM picks the coach, picks the all-star player, not saying that they're wrong for doing it over the coach. We've seen it with Yonis, right?
Starting point is 00:15:15 He wants to get rid of his coach. He's struggling in the playoffs. Hasn't been back to the championship. And we know that the Joker didn't like Mike Malone. And now we're seeing them struggle, trying to get back to a championship. That's a good point. Yeah, sometimes you may not like what's going on, but it's about this is a winning situation. Okay, I don't want to be here, but I'm winning, man.
Starting point is 00:15:41 You know what I'm saying? Like murder, even though murder left the rap game, may not like what he was at, but he was winning. You know what I'm saying? That was a good one. That was a real good point, Killer. He said, but I'm out. I can't deal with the environment. It looks good.
Starting point is 00:16:09 But I can't do it. It looks good from now. No, killer, that's actually a great point, man. That's an actually great point. Like, sometime where you're winning at is not the most comfortable place. But you could be very comfortable in a losing situation. Yes. I like that.
Starting point is 00:16:32 I like that. This is good. That's something to think about. I think I preached that Sunday. That was what I was telling people. That comfort level is too high for success, man. The comfort level is too high. So that was really good, what you just said.
Starting point is 00:16:50 That was brilliant, killer. You know, every now and then you surprise me, man. I know, man. I hope I'm making you proud, man. Pause. But anyway. Yeah, that was that. You went to fall now.
Starting point is 00:17:05 This is a new. This is actually a new one, right? This is a stat, Nick, this is a new one where a nigga large step and take your credit at the same time. Like, I'm never. This was a new one. Let me line step and take his point of view and say that I did that
Starting point is 00:17:28 last week and I was actually with and they give you credit on when he talked when he quote-unquote did last no problem but nothing surprises
Starting point is 00:17:37 the guy nothing surprising that's not you're gloria and yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:17:47 at the same time, man. It's amazing, man. It's amazing to see. But I think that's where, that's where Denver is at, my opinion, is that as much as you didn't like Mike Malone, he was a good coach. He yelled at you, you know, people probably, you know,
Starting point is 00:18:07 in the sensitive era where you don't need to get, people don't want to get yelled at, or you don't want to get pulled out the game. I seen it the other day, right? J.J. Reddick told Luke out the game. Luca walked past him. Jay J.J. Rettick tried to give him five. He don't give him five. J.J. Reddick goes to talk to him. Luca, get up to get back in his face
Starting point is 00:18:26 and one of the Laker players stepped in between him, because Luka was going to go say something to him as a coach. But at the end of the day, you got to realize he coaches are trying to keep their job, too. Now, what is it going to go on boil down to? You want the coach or you want the player. Sometimes it comes to that. Remember Murder How Brown from Philly and Overson? Not saying they equal out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:50 Larry Brown. They didn't like Larry Brown. They didn't like each other. They hated it. But they hated it. But the owner was like, y'all just went to a chip. Y'all are going to figure this out. And they had to sing around.
Starting point is 00:19:01 They didn't equal to a chip, but that may have been what they needed for that situation. So to me, that's Denver's problem right now. Not saying the Joker is in a good coach on the floor, but does he really need to be the coach in the huddle? We've seen this last year when he was controlling shit in the huddle and we was like, yo, it's the joker fucking coach in the team.
Starting point is 00:19:23 You know what I mean? So I think that's what Denver is lacking. Somebody, them being allowed to be coached and they may have missed the window because of that. Maybe, not sure. Yeah, you're right. When you got a joker.
Starting point is 00:19:36 When you got a joker, you just don't know. Sorry, Mike's good. No, that's true, because I, I was thinking about when Pat Riley was, you know, overseeing everything down there in Miami and LeBron was down there. Every time it's been a coach like that, you get a championship, you know, because they're going to push you to the max. Their job is to push you to the max. And to bring out things you're not thinking about dealing with and things you're not thinking about addressing. So you could be a better player and a better human being.
Starting point is 00:20:07 So I really like that statement. Yeah. Okay, so now that brings us to the Sixers. The Sixers lost the Cavs 115 to 101. The Sixers are actually the eighth seed. So let's think long term. We're talking about championship windows, but let's even talk about the process.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Mace, are we still waiting for the process? Do they need a rebuild? What do the Sixers need to do? What do they need to do? Yeah, Stad, I think you asked me questions to trigger me now, now that I listen to these questions. It happens to all of us sometimes. Yeah, we're saying.
Starting point is 00:20:42 We waiting on the process. No, I'm not waiting on the process, killer. Now I'm thinking about that process. I'm thinking about all the people that was a part of the process. None of them turned out right. I don't know who came up with that process. But the young boy that came out of, oh, man, that played down in, what's that, Orlando? He didn't turn out well.
Starting point is 00:21:10 What's the plaint God name? Kieler, it was Ben Simmons. It's false. False. Markell False. Yeah. Yeah, Markell False. I for sure thought he was one of the ones.
Starting point is 00:21:25 I'm not going to lie. And then you got your boy, Ben Simmons. He was a part of the process. Michael Richardson was a part of the process. Man, they messed up some... James Hardin got it. the process. Tobias Harris.
Starting point is 00:21:46 Oh, my goodness. Tobias. It is the process. Literally. Yeah, what is the process? Yeah. Whoever came up with that, I think Joe Allen B. said that statement first.
Starting point is 00:22:02 You just got to trust the process. Yeah, they made T-shirts about it. Nike got into it. everybody got finessed by the process, man. I think Doc Rivers was there on the process. Even they got rid of Doc and tried it, Doc. This is crazy. This whole thing in Philadelphia,
Starting point is 00:22:26 I know Dr. Jay got to be, you know, combing this, Afro right now, thinking about this. Barclay ready to grow his hair out with what they're doing there in the Sixth of Town, man. The process is over. It's completely over. I don't want to hear no more about the process.
Starting point is 00:22:45 I don't believe in the process. I can't even let somebody tell me the process. I can't look at the T-shirt. If I see somebody with a process T-shirt on, I might snatch the T-shirt. Yeah, man. Process is over. Even last night, Tyrese-Maxie didn't even play.
Starting point is 00:23:08 Edgone didn't play. We know Joe Al-Lumbied didn't play. And Paul George didn't play. How were they going to win this game? with none of them. Even Maxie Hascombe didn't play. Why are they not playing?
Starting point is 00:23:21 They playing. I don't know what happened last night. You know, they, you know, niggas. Well, Paul George still has that whole thing going on. I'm not sure about Edgecombe. And then Maxie has a finger injury. Oh, my goodness. So that's the point.
Starting point is 00:23:37 And then Edgecoe has a back injury. So, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, you're not going to win with this team against the Cavaliers. Look, man, I'm not even murder said enough about the process I don't want to see processed food I don't want nothing to do with the process either
Starting point is 00:23:54 But it's just the fact to where To where This boils down to two people man Paul George and Joe L&B That's all this boils down to And it's sad because You think about this roster if healthy You know what I'm saying
Starting point is 00:24:13 And you said This could be a top three team in the East, if healthy. Last time we seen Joel Embed play at a high level was two years ago. And think about this, you know, I know we make fun, not make fun, but we complain a lot about players being hurt and everything else because we want to see them play.
Starting point is 00:24:35 And we're an extension of what niggas be talking about in the streets, the barbershops, dice games, etc. But we've seen them have 50 on the Knicks when they lost that series to the Knicks with one hour. Remember he had an odd problem. He was breaking one eyes. His leg was messed up. Everything else.
Starting point is 00:24:52 And since that series, it seemed like it's been downhill for Joe L&B. So I know we complain about him, not playing a lot, but I hope he does get better. But you're not available. You know, I've seen this thing. Shout to Gilly and Waller, right?
Starting point is 00:25:07 They were interviewing Dylan Brooks. And I'm starting to like Dylan Brooks. Dylan Brooks is, you know, he's playing really well. in Phoenix. His numbers is up. He's not just a defensive player. But they were interviewing him
Starting point is 00:25:23 and they was going through the top 50 players and I think he was number 48 or 47. And he was dissing, I would say he dissed about 90% of the people that was ahead of him. And Joel M.B. was one of them. The reason I'm bringing this up
Starting point is 00:25:37 because he's like, you know, Gillian Wallow, they're for Philly. They're like, M.B. They say, yo, bro, he's always heard. How are you going to put them in the top? whatever, he's never available. He said, you go to sleep for a week and wake up, and he's still not playing. I was like, you know, he didn't care.
Starting point is 00:25:52 Dylan Brooks is very arrogant. I kind of like his attitude. He doesn't care about anybody, and it's all about him. He gave a few people their props, but players know this. That's why I brought it up. We don't have to worry about the sixes because Joe L.M. B isn't going to be there. And 90% of the time, I'm not going to see Paul George either. And as good as Tyree's Maxie is, he is he's not going to carry you the six.
Starting point is 00:26:14 sixers to that championship. So, yes, the process has been over. I'm done with it as well. Okay. Did I just hear you say that you like Dylan Brooks now? Yeah, murder. Yeah, I ain't gonna lie. I did.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Confirmed. I did. Yeah, I like, I fuck. New hotness. It was crazy. He's not new hotness. I just didn't fuck with him before. I didn't fuck with him before.
Starting point is 00:26:40 He's not new. He's been around for a minute. Yeah. Dylan Brooks been around for a minute. I'm talking. You liking Dylan Brooks's what's the new hotness. You like in the...
Starting point is 00:26:54 That's case, is new hotness every week with you. You like the Houston. You like Boston. You like the next of the beginning of the season. Title tales on the move. Don't tell me about new hotness week to week.
Starting point is 00:27:09 That's the case. I'm going to get you the T-shirt that says, You're not. Yo. Go ahead, Nick. Go ahead, Nick. He's like, I can't even put the thumbs up.
Starting point is 00:27:27 You can't even put it up. Yeah, you're the head of me, that's what we're basing it off. I mean, that's the one thing we always say that our opinions change a lot regarding different players. There's a lot of players at the beginning of the year that we might have felt some type of way about. And then we've seen differences because Dylan Brooks, I don't even feel like among a lot of people was a very likable player, especially based off of what we've seen. But it wasn't his stats that were the problem. So I'm not even mad at that take. Like that's an honest take.
Starting point is 00:28:01 And Mace, like, you said that. And I'm like, watch. There's going to be somebody that's going to change your opinion too. Because even recently, like, you spoke a lot about Cade. Like, there's things every week that change up. So that's not bad. Who's changed what I say about Kate? No, I'm saying like you vouched for him,
Starting point is 00:28:18 but like there is a time you were never speaking about Kate. Never. Oh, my goodness, stat. There was. It ain't going to pop up. Yeah. It's not. Now you're jumping in, that's wow.
Starting point is 00:28:38 It's just an observation. We can see you, bro. We can see you. I don't like that for you, Statt. It's just an observation. I don't like that for you. It's an observation. I don't like that for you.
Starting point is 00:28:48 There's people that I didn't, I wasn't fond of at the beginning of the year that I grew. I'm like, okay, they actually like, football, Jackson Dart. I wasn't tripping about no Jackson Dart. And then it, and then it became a thing. Like, things changed. You tripping about them there? No, I'm saying like. I'm about to say what you, what you like about Jackson Dart.
Starting point is 00:29:07 That's what I'm saying. You could see the future. You see good things. That's what I see You ride in a wave now You ain't seen nothing He ain't win no games for them You can call a wave
Starting point is 00:29:20 You could call potential There's a lot of different terms And I don't think that's bad Is it sports wise That's just like white boys With long blonde hair No because name another one that I like I think this is what I think makes
Starting point is 00:29:36 I think she likes She picks who's cute And who's metrosexual That's what she's What does that even mean? Like if they paint their nails blowing white Yeah Like eccentric
Starting point is 00:29:49 Exactly you can fuck her You that's what you call it I call it Let's gross Think about Ecentric No That's not what I'm saying
Starting point is 00:29:59 I just can be excited about people's potential You call Let's line as centric No he said nail painting is eccentric Oh No, I said metrosexual.
Starting point is 00:30:12 You said it's sexual. I don't even know what that is. It's the same thing. We just got different terms for the same thing. Now, many times murder? It wasn't even a hot story. And Stad wanted to talk about Homeboy who got traded from Philly doing his TikTok dances and shit. Jeremy McCain?
Starting point is 00:30:30 He ain't scoring. Because that's... But given draft prospect to where he was at, to then not being able to see his potential. than now seeing him with the thunder. Like, that is a big storyline. Stad, where is Triple J at? Statt? Where's the heat?
Starting point is 00:30:50 I bring things to the attention that I feel like need to be talking about. We don't have to talk about Triple J in the heat right now because they had some work to do. Triple J is nobody right now. Stett. Nobody's a strong term. That's not what I said.
Starting point is 00:31:05 But I can argue about Jeremy McCain. The comments will say, like, he was supposed to be one of them. He just got injured. And he just happens to paint his nails at the same time. It happens. And shout out to Triple J. I mean nobody, but yeah, you get what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:31:26 Statt, it's wild for you, though, Statt. You be bringing up people. I don't know where you find that. I'm going to keep it 100. No shout out to Triple J for me. I'm not shying you out. That's what you want to do. That's what.
Starting point is 00:31:39 I mean, I'm not showing you out, my nigga. Yeah, he don't deserve a shout out for me. I ain't seen nothing. I ain't hear nothing since Statt said anything about him. I think Stad is jinxed him. No, I didn't. Stats ain't got nothing to with me. Stats say, man, you're going to fall out.
Starting point is 00:32:00 No, I just speak about what I see. I ain't got nothing to do with me. But real quick, before I forget, like, so when he was talking about originally, was like me liking Dylan Brooks, right? And I think that the thing about it is right with Dylan Brooks. He has, you know, I didn't know he was a score at Oregon. And then when he comes to NBA, he's more defense than he can make open shot and so on and so forth.
Starting point is 00:32:25 But we're seeing a little more offensive potential from an offensive potential of what he's doing offensively with the sons. I think what happened when him was like, yo, bro, play your role and don't fuck it up. because you got to think about it, right? He was fucking with LeBron, and they said, don't poke the beer paws, and then this is LeBron, this in LeBron,
Starting point is 00:32:46 and then LeBron got him eliminated from the playoffs, and then the next thing you know, he gets traded. So they're like, see, this is what happens. Now you're on the move for playing with niggas. And that's the kind of vibe I got from him, but I can't deny what he's doing this season in Phoenix.
Starting point is 00:33:03 He's having a great offensive and defensive year in Phoenix. So that's the credit that I will get from for this year. And that's what you said makes the other day when we're talking to Senegal. That's the reason they make trophies, all right? So don't tell me about what I liked them last year. This is not last year murder. This is your words. This is what you said.
Starting point is 00:33:29 That's the reason that the dates is on the trophy, right? Yeah, because last year is last year. Yeah. All right. So did. Go ahead. I was just going to say the last thing I say about what Statt was saying about how opinions change throughout the year and everything else.
Starting point is 00:33:50 And before we did this show, I used to be one of them niggins. You know what I'm saying? One of them niggas that would watch a lot of sports shows, so on and so forth for me. Like, nigger, you ain't say that in October, nigger. Now you this. you know that. But now we got a job to do them. And we have to observe and pay attention. So if somebody's
Starting point is 00:34:13 not doing good in November and they're doing sensational in January and February and we observed that, yeah, we can be wrong, but we're not going to highlight what they're doing. Because a lot of people do that too, murder. Oh, no, now y'all on, now y'all on him.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Now pause, oh, now you suck in the paws. You know what I'm saying? No, we're observing that the nigger was doing better than what he was doing in December. And that's just that. Sorry, I wanted to get that the way. Yeah, the nigger playing like Jeremy Lynn, you got to switch up, you know?
Starting point is 00:34:46 Remember Jeremy Link got hot, and he had butter, pecan, or they made him his own ice cream. New York switched up so fast. He was in Ben and Jerry's. He didn't make it at Hagenhars, but he got close. He got very close. And like you said, everybody was in the park. all the people that were from, you know, Asia,
Starting point is 00:35:10 they was in the park with their sneakers on, ready to play. I mean, he took basketball to the Asian culture in a very strong way. I think his two weeks was like as good as y'all means career. What can I say? Popularity-wise, yes. Yes. Popularity-wise, but not career numbers, but popularity, I can see where you're coming from.
Starting point is 00:35:39 Yeah, since two months in New York was like Yowman's whole career. I'm going on the line. I'm going on the ledge. Yeah, you're bugging now. You gotta realize this. Let's not bug out now, murder. You got to realize it was a whole thing.
Starting point is 00:35:57 I'm bugging out. Voting. You bugging. Because this is when voting from the fans started back then where they could vote the starters in. and niggas threw a fit because Asia has more people than America and Yao Ming got the starting position over Shaq in the All-Star game and niggas was just livid
Starting point is 00:36:16 they was like, come on now. But the fans voted him in over Shaq, and niggas was like, now we're just going too far. But that's how they turned out to make the fans involved. Yeah, you got to think Jeremy Lynn had a good game against Kobe and got his own ice cream. from Ben and Jerry's. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Murder, he didn't get voted to the All-Star game. Over Kobe. I'm not saying that his marketing wasn't good. You know what I'm saying? But getting voted over Shaq for an All-Star game? Come on, bro. Yeah, that was a wow. Shout to Yao Ming and all that, but that's Valation,
Starting point is 00:36:59 that shit was wild violation. That was super violation. He said, you know what? You're right. Okay. Yeah, that was super wow. No, that was super wild. Shaq. Sha going to see this.
Starting point is 00:37:14 It's Sha going to be like, see? Niggins remember Shaq wanted them, niggas. He's going to see this and be like, niggins violated. I'm glad they're murdering Kim, remember. When niggas valet would be. Yeah, niggas messed up, diesel.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Street, pause. He had a streak going. Niggins said, they say, yo, you ain't starting this all-star. What? They say, yeah. The bots got involved. The bots got involved. I don't know what they did, but it was like,
Starting point is 00:37:43 I don't think nobody had more votes than Yal Ming. No, they didn't. It was disrespectful to everybody else in the league. Not saying Yal Ming didn't deserve to go to the All-Star game, but to be starting over there is? Nah, bro. Wow. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:37:58 Yeah, that's crazy. Okay. See, this is what happens, Statt. Every time they try to introduce the Internet to the game, you know? That's why I like the old school, man. I'm with Barkley and the rest of them, man. But you also, like, innovative at the same time. Like, there's a lot of good parks on the Internet, too, now.
Starting point is 00:38:20 So there's two sides to every coin. Yeah, killer, we might have to go up there one day with Ernie and him, man. One day and go crazy. Yeah, I talked to Charles, man. Charles after Sam's plug me in with Charles. Charles after Charles. Chuck Ernie, Kenny, Shaq. Charles said he loved the show.
Starting point is 00:38:40 He said, don't stop doing what we were doing. Then when I seen Shaq, he said, keep flipping on, niggas. Fuck what they say. Word. Absolutely. So they fuck with the show, too. Shout to everybody on up there on inside the NBA, man. Yeah, super do.
Starting point is 00:39:00 Yeah. Okay. We're not done with the Sixers talk. Could Joel and Bede have been considered a goal? we will discuss after the break. Welcome back. So we were having a conversation about the Sixers and specifically about Embedde.
Starting point is 00:39:27 So Mace, do you think Mb could have been considered a goat if he stayed healthy? So this is something that we didn't get to touch on, but there's actually a quote previously of him talking about it. And he said, I think so. I think I'm that talented. Obviously, you need to win championships and to win championships you need other guys.
Starting point is 00:39:45 You can't do it by yourself. I want to win so bad. if you don't, you just got to understand it as long as you care about the right stuff. If it doesn't happen, maybe it wasn't meant to happen. If you think about it, the thing that stopped me all these years is just freak injuries. Every single playoffs, regular season, people following my knee or breaking my face twice. It's always freak injuries at the wrong time. So like I said, this is a little bit of an older quote, but just given what we've seen,
Starting point is 00:40:07 because you always say time will tell. What do you think? I knew it was over when Rihanna didn't take the date, you know, when he tried to talk to Rihanna and she wouldn't go for it, I just knew goat was not in his future, you know. It wasn't going to happen for me. I knew he had all of the talent, but it just seemed like he played too much.
Starting point is 00:40:34 He played too much to not have certain things go well. And when you plan a lot and you're winning, it's funny. But when you're playing a lot and you're losing, it's not so funny. and that's what I'm speaking of, because somebody may say, oh, who are you to say this? You're always having fun, but I'm winning. When you're winning and having fun, it's cool. But when you're not winning and you're talking about telling people to trust your process
Starting point is 00:41:04 and you're joking, then you come back and you get hurt, then you come back, and it's an illness, then you come back, it's just, it's too much for anybody that's considering winning a championship or trying to win an Eastern Conference final. Because remember I told you, people always think they got time. That's one of the biggest lies. As when you look back, every year somebody new arrives, and now we're talking about Cade, and now we're talking about James Hardin on the Cleveland team.
Starting point is 00:41:35 That window, like we were talking about with Denver, it is 100% over with Philadelphia. So goat is nowhere in the future. Goat is nowhere in the future. I repeat, goat is no win for Joe L&B. I wish him recovery. I wish him well. But come on, next year to be Wimby's league,
Starting point is 00:41:55 there's no way to be a goat. What are you talking about, Stah? I hate that shit. I hate it. I hate the word goat. I hate it. I hate it, y'all. Because people use it too loosely.
Starting point is 00:42:11 First of all, it's supposed to be one goat. Ghost is the greatest of all time. How so many ghosts? Like, it's supposed to be one person if you've been going up the definition, right? You just use that word too loosely for me, man. Yo, that's what goat means. Greatest of all time.
Starting point is 00:42:30 It's mad... Yo, a niggas, goat. You know, a niggas, goat. How many ghosts could it be? It's just... I could have been one of the ghosts. How probably one of the goats if the actual quote is greatest?
Starting point is 00:42:42 The thing is just butchered with the whole shit really means. first and foremost. What about quote? That's greatest woman of all time. I mean, it's supposed to be just to be one. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, it's just one.
Starting point is 00:43:02 It's only supposed to be one. Back to the actual topic, I can't stand in a niggas 7-1 talking about my niggas broke my face. You know, don't tell me that's broke your face. Oh, that's wrong. Yo, my nigger. Yo,
Starting point is 00:43:22 y'gots broke my face. You're 7-1. Look, man. You know who killed with a broken face? Rip Hamilton. Kobe Bryant. Russell Westbrook had 49-point triple-double with a broken face.
Starting point is 00:43:38 Don't tell me about your face broke. Niggas... Niggas came on. Kobe with the mask. Was Dave Hamilton with the mask? Some niggins say, them niggas might have been more dangerous. with the mask on.
Starting point is 00:43:49 You know, you know, just, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, bro. I can't. And I, and I can't do what a cut or shudder.
Starting point is 00:43:58 I can't do, well, you know, if this ain't happened or that ain't happened, we can do that all day. We can do that about anything,
Starting point is 00:44:07 right? You know, I got an uncle then went to jail, right? He come home from jail. He'd be in the 70s, I'm gonna just say.
Starting point is 00:44:19 He's robbing banks shit. He'd go to jail. He's come out of jail. He's been in jail for 16, 17 years. He comes out and say he's about to do it again because all he had to do is make a right. If he would have made that right, everything would have been crazy. It would have been all good if he would have made the right. But his man convinced him to go left and then he has to do it. And that's how he caught. Okay, I'm getting it right now. I'm going to get it right this time, nigga. I know what you do now
Starting point is 00:44:54 Okay So if you would have made a right You would have got away with it But you didn't make the right You made the left We could do water-cutta shudder all the time About everything Yeah
Starting point is 00:45:08 What have made Mrs. Flight to Atlanta And he didn't get a chance to get the deal What if he missed it? Then what? We could have been doing No, we can't keep doing what it could I don't know I'm done I'm done
Starting point is 00:45:20 That would make a day He could have been the goat. He could have been the gold. No, I can't run with that, man. I can't do it. What do you think? Real quick, for Joelle and B to be considered the goat, a part of the goat conversation,
Starting point is 00:45:38 he would have to win the next six championships straight. I mean, Mace, he said, what do I think? I mean, I know you should speak highly of yourself, which is what he's doing, but no, like, no ring, no Eastern Commerce Final, I'm good. Like, there's just certain bed. that I think that you got to reach automatically. But I see what he's saying.
Starting point is 00:45:56 He's going off a potential, but literally to both of y'all's points, you can't just go based off of potential all the time. If he could have been the goat, there's wild people could have been the goat. If you're just talking potential. Yeah. What is he talking about? Yeah. But he's optimistic.
Starting point is 00:46:15 It's himself. Like, you're going to talk about yourself the same way. No, but I'm going to. I'm going to have the stats to prove it. The numbers don't lie unless they're bots, you know? Yeah. He can't say numbers don't lie no more. Niggas got bots.
Starting point is 00:46:33 That's true. But I'll tell you this much, if he thought he could have been the goat, he still can. He's still alive. How about that? Joe L. Embed, if you think you could be the goat, still be the goat, because you're still here. What's the issue? There's no argument there That's a great take
Starting point is 00:46:52 I'm just saying I'm not surprised And this is no diss to him But you know there's people And I'm sure y'all know people who are like I could have been this and I could have been that And I was so you know And it's like Okay
Starting point is 00:47:03 We'll see kind of what happens In time we will be able to tell And that's that Okay so I just seen a whatever if like that murder fucking They had a little mini cartoon documentary on Joe Hammond Somebody at 74%
Starting point is 00:47:19 points on, I was had 74 points on Dr. J. Rucker, but he wanted to go sell everyone afterwards, after the game. See. But if he would, go, go to Joe Hammond. He used to come to the game in a limousine, score 74, and they told him, the Lakers weren't to sign them. And you know what the niggins told, niggas? They wanted to give him $50,000 to play at the Lakers.
Starting point is 00:47:44 And he said, why would I take a pay cut from what I'm doing now to go play with the Lakers? and then when he go to jail and come out after 11 years and he was like he would have played with the Lakers he didn't he wanted to sell heroin
Starting point is 00:47:59 and then when we and me and Mace get older he started coming around our game talking about yo he was one of ones I didn't see it wasn't okay I didn't see it
Starting point is 00:48:09 I heard the stories and all that man listen if you was before chick all stars I didn't see it my first introduction was chick all stars man
Starting point is 00:48:18 I didn't see before that, so sorry. It was a few people like that for me, you know, growing up. Like, I remember hearing a lot about Lloyd Daniels and people like, man, he could have been better than magic. Then I saw him on San Antonio. I was like, nah, he couldn't have been better than magic. I thought I saw it.
Starting point is 00:48:40 He was good. He was cool, but he wasn't magic. He wasn't showtime. You remember Harvey from 40th? I used to always hear about Harv. They're like, yo, Harv was dumb nice. I never got to see Harp play.
Starting point is 00:48:55 You did? You saw Har play, Killer growing up? No, no. I just heard about him. Your Harve was dumb nice. Listen, to this point, it's a nigger with the name Goat that I didn't see. His name was Earl Manor goat.
Starting point is 00:49:14 They said he could touch the top of the backboard. I never seen him play. Yeah, his legend was crazy He just one time It took a quarter off the top of the backboard Yeah, it took a cord off the top of the backboard Yo, Earl Managote That was actually the niggins name
Starting point is 00:49:35 I didn't see it I can't verify it Okay So you know Everywhere we go people would say Everywhere we go people were like Yo you saw Earl Man to go play is that real?
Starting point is 00:49:49 Everybody's know you from New York. They're like, did he really take a court off the backboard? Said, bro, I heard it was like $20. You tell you,
Starting point is 00:50:01 that's putting $20 on, too, because we from all of me got to spice it up knowing damn well we ain't now see a nigga to none of it. $20. Why did the money stay up there?
Starting point is 00:50:20 He put it up there. You know, the legend gets bigger and bigger stack. Yes, and get crazy. Yeah, the remixes as well. The lives get crazy and crazier. Okay, so bringing it back to New York, talking about the Knicks again,
Starting point is 00:50:36 but the Knicks lost to the Clippers, 126 to 1-18s. The Knicks have actually lost back-to-back games in L.A. So, Mace, when does this become a problem? You still think they're cooling, and then who do you think on the Nix really needs to kind of step it up for them to kind of get back in that groove?
Starting point is 00:50:54 I'm not saying it's lost, but just from what we've seen in the last two games. Well, you know, the Nix was already a problem because we put the light on them. So, Kila, are you ready to take the light off the Nix? Because I think we should take the light off them because the light is way too bright. Every time we put the light on the Nix,
Starting point is 00:51:14 they're going on this losing pattern and then everybody start panicking and blaming us about kicking the Knicks when they're down. We're from New York with fellow New Yorkers. We want to see New York win. It's just like somebody you know that you're giving a shot to, but you know they're going to mess it up. You're looking forward. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:51:36 So when it comes to the Knicks, I'm not sure if there's any one person you could point at. The whole system of the Knicks got to change. Remember I said this. If the Knicks are going to win, Jalen Brown is going to have to get 15 assists. 13. I mean, yeah, Jalen Brunson is going to have to get 15, 13 and 15 assists if they're going to win. Shumper, not Shumper, I'm thinking about that team. What's the guy named that keep playing a little weird games? Hart.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Hart is going to have to get at least four. A little weird game right now. Yeah, what is that? Yo, Mace. What do you mean? Little weird games for Josh Hart. That's what you remember in that? Yeah, me too.
Starting point is 00:52:32 He played a little weird games, man. He's playing a little weird game. Pulling wedgies out and all of that. We can't have that. I just can't do it. You know what I'm saying? And then they're going to have to run their offense through Carl Anthony Towns to be a championship team,
Starting point is 00:52:52 they're going to have to get the ball to him first and make Brunson a second option. They use him too much as a first option to win the championship. Oh, well, and my shock, no. They're not having a good trip in L.A. You know, you lose Englewood, you lose downtown in L.A. It's the Lakers and not having a good road game, route trip. I don't fucking know. This is what happens, and I agree with Mace.
Starting point is 00:53:25 We sit here and try and give us some credit, and we try and say the Nix is going to do this. We picked them beginning of the season. Now as the seasons winding down, they would come a topic, and it looks like we're trying to kick on them when they're not good. And not saying they're not good.
Starting point is 00:53:40 They're still a playoff team, but this is what I will say about the Nix. I'll give you all this silver lining. It's not even silver lining because it's not over. I'll give you all this hope. last year Cleveland won a wild amount of games. They claimed in first place. It was crazy.
Starting point is 00:53:57 Not saying Cleveland had the same team this year as last year. But the Knicks didn't finish in first place last year. And neither did the Pacers. And they still, both of those teams made it to the Eastern Conference Finals. We know that Porzengis was sick and we know that Tatum was hurt. But, you know, it is what it is. They didn't finish out the season. And the Eastern Conference Finals ended up being the Pacers.
Starting point is 00:54:20 Knicks. If you got any hope, that's the hope you got. That's all I can get. Maybe things switch around for you in the playoffs. That's what I got for you right, man. That's it. And that's that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Well, speaking of hope. I ain't going on no crazy, man, with the mix. No, that's valid. You know, we're just observing and commenting on what we see, and that's right now. But again, like I always say, y'all, potential things change. We'll see. It could have just been a bad game. And that's that.
Starting point is 00:54:51 Okay. So hope. Hope is now gone for this Magic City Night officially because it's been canceled by the NBA. So the protesting worked. State from Adam Silver, he said, when we became aware of the Hawks scheduled promotion, we reached out to Hawks leadership to better understand their plans and rationale. While we appreciate the team's perspective and their desire to move forward, we have heard significant concerns from a broad array of league stakeholders, including fans, partners, and employees. I believe canceling this promotion is the right decision for the broader NBA community. Mace, do you think the fans, the partners, and the employees are being too sensitive, or do you think the league should draw clear lines about what's considered appropriate? Adam Silver is serious about pulling out all stops to be different.
Starting point is 00:55:49 And I like this, but this was something he had to put his foot down. You know, there's people that love me. Magic City. There's people that hate Magic City. But when you talk about the NBA, you talk about Atlanta Hawks. It's not just about the guys that watch this game or the ladies that watch this game, but it's about the kids that are watching this game. And I think this particular statement is a statement that needed to be made so that they could bring some respect back to the game with children are concerned, right? Because if the children are coming there, And you got a little girl there.
Starting point is 00:56:29 She's loving the NBA or a kid there, and he's watching the NBA. And then you pull out Magic City and you honor that in front of children. I just felt like it would have sent the wrong message to the whole NBA. It would have sent definitely the wrong message to the kids. And I think that's what you have to do. Sometimes you have to protect children at all costs. Not sometime, all of the time. You have to protect children at all cost.
Starting point is 00:56:57 So I'm thankful that he did that, especially being a person that lives in Atlanta. Yeah, I dig it. I totally understand it. I don't support it. You know, that's you. I don't support it. If you want to bring your kid to Magic City,
Starting point is 00:57:14 if you want to bring your kid to Magic City, we got to look at you as a parent. We have this thing called Skakee, man, in the Bronx, right? They had the 8 o'clock session, then they had the 11 o'clock. session. You can't come to 11 o'clock session if you was 18 over.
Starting point is 00:57:36 Now, don't get me wrong. It's two totally different things. I get it. What May said is correct, but I'm just saying, and I think it's everything he says correct. I'm just saying person for my, for my personal. This is not what's right or wrong.
Starting point is 00:57:52 This is about how I personally feel myself. This isn't about the right thing to do or the wrong thing to do. This is just camera, personal feelings about it. You got 41 games at home. Come on, man. You can pick another night not to pick brings the kids to Magic City night. Now, if you bought the tickets in advance,
Starting point is 00:58:14 that's why I said, this has nothing to do it right or wrong. You might have bought your tickets last year. But listen, I call it Drosnitchin. I call it Drosnich. Adam might not have been aware. They're like, you're Adam. Do you see the complaints? Hold on.
Starting point is 00:58:28 Magic City Night, I thought it was David Blaine in them names. Fuck you're talking about it's Magic City Night. Adam Silver may not even been aware what that necessarily meant. And I'm, I'm, I'm being honest with you. I'm not jacking that the employees was mad
Starting point is 00:58:44 about it. You know, maybe the shareholders and who is other people, stats, and shareholders. Partners, employees, fans. Partners. The partners, employees, and fans.
Starting point is 00:58:59 I don't know about the fans. That means everybody had children. I can't Jack who's complaining. I think Adam Silver became aware of it. He threw a little hot sauce on that shit. It was like, yo, yo, these, your own people in your community is complaining. But you know what's going to happen?
Starting point is 00:59:21 Not to quote my man Shaq, pardon me, not to quote my man Shaq, but to quote my man Shaq. You can't stop the rain. You can't stop the rain. They're coming, baby. You may not see whatever you thought you're going to see on the court, but they're coming through, man. The people, the two chains, boozy,
Starting point is 00:59:44 everybody down there go to game. Gucci, man. Y'all keep your plans in order, all right? Offset. Keep what I was going to keep plans and order on doing what y'all supposed to do down there and there. Don't let everybody else decide But y'all have plans amongst us You know what I mean what I mean
Starting point is 01:00:02 Us keep y'all plans to say And we'll see what happens But Cornette Niggas is not fuck with you They're gonna look at you like you dry stitching And you was the leader of this coalition That stopped this night from happening You know how niggas seen
Starting point is 01:00:16 You're not saying that Luke That the nigga Cornett was one of them Niggins that everybody fuck with But you may out of the nigh like You may out of a nigga like No, you know, like, no, you right, homie, that shit. It shouldn't go like that, and I live down there, my next.
Starting point is 01:00:31 That's not getting around. I don't think you draw snitcher. I'll be careful, man. Don't be careful. This is just Camaro's opinions. Mace had the right take to the correct take of what should happen. This is just my personal feelings. I don't like it.
Starting point is 01:00:48 Killer, well, what do they want? What do they want to do at the game? Were they just bringing lemon pepper wings or what exactly? were they bringing dancers to the game? What exactly was a Magic City Night consist of? That's when we need that. And that's the question, right?
Starting point is 01:01:06 Y'all already hating on saying y'all ain't seen. We don't know. We don't know. What you're going to say? Yeah, so I don't know what the plan was, but I do have what they're planning to do now because they have to give some people some refunds. So, T.I. is still performing at half time as scheduled.
Starting point is 01:01:23 They had limited edition peach tree-themed hoodies. that will no longer be available for purchase, so only pre-ordered merchandise will be honored. They had a live podcast with the principal owner of the Hawks, T.I. And then the Magic City founder, that's canceled. And then it says they'll still have culinary options available at the arena, including wings, but it doesn't say Magic City wings, so maybe that was taken out of the partnership.
Starting point is 01:01:45 So that's kind of what I think has changed. What's the problem? What the kid? I don't see nothing wrong with this. Now, interview with the Magic City owner saying how to, it got established, okay. I don't see nothing wrong with what Stats said. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:02:03 But every day we turn on the TV on the Internet, right? Cardi B. ass out on stage at her show. She got ass out every motherfucker show. Is the kids in there? Because every show I've seen when I'm scrolling, I can't, and it's been seven days, eight days in a row of Cardi B ass out on the neck. They had a 12-year-old the other day up there trucking with Megan Estalia.
Starting point is 01:02:30 Megan Estalia had to stop her. I don't see nothing with Magic City Night with doing wrong, worse than these concerts these girls are throwing. And I'm not complaining. I like scrolling seeing it. I'm just saying, a weak impairment. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:02:47 Yeah. I'll also say I do feel like a lot of the people who were... Do you be seeing Cardi B.S every day? Every time. That also shows what we're interacting with because it keeps popping up. So, like, if you watched it, it's going to bring it more in your feed. And I promise you anybody who is using a phone was like, oh, what's this? Oh.
Starting point is 01:03:10 And then you scroll and it just keeps coming back up every day in a different city. And a different outfit, too. And when I say cheeks out, the outfit is made for the cheeks out. Oh, yeah. Like, she got cut out jeans or whatever it is, so the cheeks is up. For sure. But that's what I'm saying. I feel like a lot of the people, like, I understand both sides.
Starting point is 01:03:31 But I also do feel like a lot of the people who are complaining are people who wouldn't even go to a game anyways. And sometimes I just let people who go to those, let them have that decision. But if you don't even plan on going to know Hoc's game, you're not going to, like, I just feel like it doesn't make sense to me. Yeah, but for the record, Mace's take was absolutely correct. This is just personal feelings from the camera on Chronicles. That's it.
Starting point is 01:04:00 And you're allowed to speak of what you believe on. That's fine. To be continued. What do you think? I really don't. What's your opinion? Yeah, I really don't have a problem with it. Like, if you're going to have Peach Tree Magic City themed merch and it's probably just
Starting point is 01:04:15 a logo, if you want to have them, lemon pepper hot wings and a peach drink and some fries, I am mad at that. They weren't going to do nothing crazy. I just know they weren't going to do nothing crazy T.I. was going to perform. How do you know? What if the little girl with the little girl come down the stairs with a popcorn
Starting point is 01:04:32 and said, Mommy, I want to be a dance. See, that's the thing. I don't think that would... She said, you should be. She said, no, I want to twirl. I don't think that would happen. It's like, the league is still the league and they still got some decorum. They're not going to do nothing so crazily out of the box. But at the same time, it didn't
Starting point is 01:04:52 bring a lot of eyes, so I think a lot of people are still going to tune into that game anyways, just to see the rest of what they are allowing to go on. So for promotional purposes, it definitely worked. Now, is it what they fully want? No, but can't have everything. That's what I'll say. Can't have everything.
Starting point is 01:05:08 That's crazy. I told you, I was planning for this. I marked a date on the calendar. What did you think they was going to do, Keller? I didn't know, but I thought the promotion was great. Like, everything the staff just said, they have done. But just the fact to me, not saying, I haven't been down there in years, but to me,
Starting point is 01:05:32 Magic City is nostalgia, and you got to realize a lot of these rappers from down there come up, come from being played in Magic City. So if your record got played in there and it popped off, then it leaks to the radio station, then it leaks to the streets, and then it leaks, people get there start sometime in these spots. So when I mention these rappers and everything, I'm not saying that every rap by name that they start there, but you wouldn't. your shit played in it. Because it's more, we got to realize, and that's what made me
Starting point is 01:05:59 coming to Atlanta in different places. That strip club, don't get me wrong, everything you have is a strip club. But I know people go to strip club but to eat dinner. They got top chefs that be on the food channel that's cooking in there. They make more money
Starting point is 01:06:16 that they would probably get in a restaurant because it's a lifestyle. And not saying that lifestyle should be transferred to the NBA. I totally get it. You know, I'm being faithful. facetious about my take. But at the end of the day, for Atlanta, I understand the lifestyle. They grew up in that. It's girls who want to go to the strip club more than niggas.
Starting point is 01:06:36 You know what I'm saying? It's not about always seeing tits and ass. It's a vibe. Not saying that vibe should be transferred to the NBA whatsoever, but it's a lifestyle down there. I agree. Okay, y'all. Well, that is all the time that we have for today. Let us know in the comments what y'all think about Magic City Night being canceled. But thank y'all for watching. And as always, it is what it is.
