Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, we're back at it. I'm back to what it is. I'm Treasurer Wilson, aka Statt Baby, along with your host, Race. And... Did it, Beth. We, man. 53 years. We back, baby.
Starting point is 00:00:44 And Statt got to see it. Yeah, man. You got to see it. Yeah, man. There's a lot. You know, Statsfield Plus, we know a lot of people who ain't see it, man. It's a long list, man. You got to see it.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Yeah, man. You know what? I knew, I knew they was going to do it. I had to. put a little bit of motivation behind them, pause. You know, I bet 10,000 before the series started on the next. You know, sometimes when you got little brothers, you got to motivate them.
Starting point is 00:01:12 You got to tell them stuff that get them encouraged to do something, you know? Yeah, they definitely be like that. Yeah, man, we back. We back. We back, man. So everything y'all said has been motivational. That was motivation, right? You got to motivate your team.
Starting point is 00:01:27 That's part of being a good coach. And the thing about it is, is people are misconstruiting the words. Because you know why nobody likes to make sense, we already went to back. We said we don't trust them. We didn't say we don't want them to win. We don't say we didn't think they could win.
Starting point is 00:01:43 He's the wordsmith. He's the wordsmith. We're wordsmith. So you've got to pay attention to what we said. We don't trust them. It wasn't the roster. It was the jersey. Now we can bring the jerse back out.
Starting point is 00:01:54 And by the way, this is an official diplomat, Nick's jersey. New York, I bet y'all didn't even know you all had a flag. This is a New York flag if people didn't know that. Okay. Yeah, this is a New York flag. People in New York don't even know we got a flag, man. So here we go, right here, man.
Starting point is 00:02:10 This is the New York flag? What color is the flag? Blue and orange? Look. It's blue and orange. Oh, yeah. For sure. You didn't know. That's what I'm saying. I'm helping you out sell your story. I knew it was a blue and orange.
Starting point is 00:02:24 You know, maces on my chest paws. I don't need any help. I appreciate it. I appreciate it. man. But yeah, man, I was just letting a nigga know. Shout to James Dolan. Yeah. I fuck with the owners, the people who's patient who pay everybody, man. You got to fuck with the people who pay everybody, man. Yeah, shout out the World Wide West, man. Yeah, I'm sticking with the niggas who pay, nigga. He get paid, too. The owners. We got to stick with the dicks who was dead, man. You got to realize James Dolan didn't hire everybody, man. Phil
Starting point is 00:02:54 Jackson, Pat Raleigh. Derek Fisher. Derek Fisher, and his father, too, man. So, You had a doler family. He gave everybody. He gave everybody Isaiah Thomas was coaching one time. Shit was reckless out here, man. He tried. Well, he did it now. Yeah, he did it.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Because his father won them over championships. He got his own now. Congratulations, man. Okay. So you're saying this is a different match jersey that you've been had. Mace, which jersey you were, and how long you had this one? This is OG. You know, I only do the OGs, man.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Pause, you know. OG with OG, man. Who am I to change tradition? You know, who are you to change tradition? I don't know. I've never heard of that before. Yeah, we might have changed the tradition, you know? Never, never change.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Okay, well, we got a lot to talk about, and I'm sure the fans got a lot to say, because the Revolution has been televised, but yes, the 53-year drought is done. The New York Knicks are your 2025-2020 to 26 NBA champions. After beating the Spurs, 94 to 90 in Game 5 in San Antonio, Mace. Before we even just get into the recap,
Starting point is 00:03:56 first, what is your message to Knicks fans? Man, the New York Knicks fans, they deserve it, man. They were so willing to go to miles that I've never seen fans go to. I thought New York Knicks fans were crazy in the 90s. This is an all-time high. Like, I've seen somebody say, you know what? What would you do for the New York Knicks? They said outlandish things.
Starting point is 00:04:20 One guy said, I see a Spurs fan. I'm clicking it on them. I say, yo, they got a chill. He said he's going to crash out. willing to lose everything for the Knicks. The Knicks fans, they were just, those are the type of fans you cannot lose when you got those kind of fans.
Starting point is 00:04:38 It's almost like, it's worse than heartbreak when you let them down, because you saw the limp they was going to. They're doing pull-ups on the, on the light post. They jumping on top of the arena. They went as far as they can go. I'm glad the NICs were able to bring them a championship because those are the type of fans
Starting point is 00:04:58 that deserve a chance. championship. Like, they, they, they, they wanted to fight people, they wanted to jump people. They shouldn't jump people,
Starting point is 00:05:05 but I'm saying, this is how much they cared about it. When somebody cared that much, you gotta deliver. You see them jump that nickname and said
Starting point is 00:05:13 Antonio, though? No. According to, he said, I didn't jump y'all. I knew somebody was going to get stuff. I knew the assays
Starting point is 00:05:24 just let that slide like that. They caught one, one Nick Fair, lacking. out there, man. Ray Ray Ray Ray. Shout to my nigga Ray Ray. Ray, Ray.
Starting point is 00:05:32 He's a funny knick. They did them dirty, dirty. Not as bad to New York, but they caught them. New York things were doing niggas dirty. Crazy. I only see one New York fan get jumped, but he didn't go down.
Starting point is 00:05:45 He was standing up. He just was like, I ain't jump, y'all. So, yeah, but Ray, I see him on Iron Ray Ray Ray's page. I. I. Ray Ray's page, it's hilarious. Shout to I and Ray Ray. But the answer to questions for all of the fans,
Starting point is 00:05:56 listen, it's great morale, man. All jokes aside, the city really, see, you gotta realize this, right? Even like when Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irvin was going to come to the Knicks, and let's say they won a championship, I don't think it would have been this crazy. I think it would have been crazy no matter what because they haven't won the long time. The reason I say this is because when Jalen Brunson got to New York, people wasn't looking like, oh, we, I don't know. It was a real, a lot of, I'm not sure.
Starting point is 00:06:29 I don't even think he was an all-star yet. He's a superstar now, but at the time, he wasn't, he wasn't an all-star. So you're sitting there saying, damn, we, Luca, Luca Dante's backup. He won't him? That niggas wanted to see with the Jalen Brunson, Julius Randall, combination would it look like. They're like, nah, we're getting rid of Julius Randall and Deven Chenzuela.
Starting point is 00:06:49 They're like, Devin Chenzzo, we get rid of Devin-Cenzzo for Carl? I don't know about Carl Anthony Towns. So when you got this team, a lot of people, was skeptical. I'm talking about New York. And for the ceiling when, without no mega superstar at the time with this roster is really dope because it's blue collar workers,
Starting point is 00:07:08 I consider it. You know, Jalen Brunson, very thorough. O.G. and the nobly, quiet but thorough. Call Anthony Towns. You call him what you want to call him, but he makes a difference when he's out there. So I think the fans are really excited about saying, yeah, we ain't need no two superstars to come did it.
Starting point is 00:07:27 know what I'm saying? We didn't need Yonis to come here. And so that's why I think the fans are more excited than anything, but it brings morale to the city. I've seen the report crime rate is down in New York. Seriously, like the crime rate is down.
Starting point is 00:07:40 You know, the loot, I ain't going to call it loot and the vandalism and everything else. I'm not saying it's right either with me. Like Mace, I'm totally agreeing when I'm not saying it's right. But at the same time, niggas don't know what to do. They just never been in this.
Starting point is 00:07:57 positioned before so niggas don't know how to celebrate it. It's like, how do we celebrate it? I'm going to tell you right now, man, all jokes like me and church were talking about this shit the other day. Niggers is lucky and it ain't over. They got all week to figure this out.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Niggers is lucky they don't know how to get to that Statue of Liberty. If they, if they can get to that Statue of Liberty and climb that Statue of Liberty, they would climb. And only reason they can't get You got to take a boat and all that. Now, after somebody hears this this morning,
Starting point is 00:08:31 they may be trying to figure it out. Yeah. We get a raft and make it to Liberty Island or whatever it's called and climb the Statue of the Liberty. That's next. That's the only thing that hasn't been done yet as far as New York is concerned. But for the fans, they deserve this.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Like I said, we've seen the Mets win, we've seen the Yankees win, we've seen the Giants win. But it's nothing like New York basketball because New York is a basketball. city. We're talking about basketball. The mecca. Yeah, but we're just talking about landscape, right, Mace? And when I say this, right, every five, six blocks in New York
Starting point is 00:09:06 City, it's a basketball court. You can't go 10 blocks without seeing a basketball court. It's just not going to happen. I don't care if you go east, west. It's 10 blocks maybe, if you go off the avenue, it's a basketball court everywhere. It's three, four basketball courts in every project. So it's a basketball city. If you think about baseball, right,
Starting point is 00:09:29 you can't get 18 organized hoodniggas to play baseball. Niggas, me, oh, I can see me amazed right now. I'm pitching. How are you pitching? I'm pitching. Who are going to play in the outfield? Niggas going to be in the outfield on their cell phones? For real.
Starting point is 00:09:46 That's what I'm saying. Then you got to think you want to play football. 22 niggas, you got to get to be organized. Motherfucking damn. I got a bell. I got a blocking nigga. I look like I be blocking. You look like I look like the safety,
Starting point is 00:10:01 nigga, I'm not no safety-ass-niggin' You're niggins in New York ain't doing that. You're sure stop, nah, you go further out. You go out there. Yeah, so when you think about that, New York basketball is the only sport. I'm talking about just growing up and not just the hood or anywhere you grow up,
Starting point is 00:10:19 that you could go get your basketball and say, I'm going to the park by myself, and I'm gonna go shoot around. And for another nigga out there, maybe I'll play him one-on-one, or if you go, If it's three, four niggas, we can play a three on three. You don't have to really have a bunch of people to play basketball. So I think for the fans, it's great camaraderie for the next and congratulations to the fans,
Starting point is 00:10:39 not just the next, of course the next, but the fans as well. Yeah, the fans isn't its whole own bracket. You should have never brought up the Statue of Liberty because I just feel like somebody's going to find a way because I feel like the impossible has already happened because I know you're saying crime rates are down, but it literally looks like Gotham City. but as long as everyone's safe, you know, it's cool. But now I want to get to game five. Let's recap the game, Mace.
Starting point is 00:11:01 What was your opinion on the way that it went and how it turned out? Man, this whole entire game, it looked like San Antonio was trying their best, but it just seemed like the Knicks just came out there to win. I heard Jalen Brunson say that it seemed like the team doesn't start playing until 30 minutes into the game, which is the fourth quarter. And this game looks like the San Antonio Spurs just kept losing it. Like they went away from how they could have won. We knew it from the beginning of the series.
Starting point is 00:11:35 At least I did because as a person that really studied San Antonio, I already knew that the person that would be a problem for the New York Knicks would be Dylan Harper. I said it from the first game before it even started. This is the guy. If they want to win, he has to be the one to win it. I did not think that Dea Ann, how you said, De Aaron Fox would be this ridiculous, right? He should be playing in China after this, right? The way he just kept going to this same pull-up, going left, you didn't make it the first five times.
Starting point is 00:12:13 You're not going to make it the sixth time. I don't know why he was on the floor. He added nothing to the floor. And before this series, I had a lot of high hopes and high respect. for DeAnne Fox, but this is what the playoffs does. It changes your mind about people you thought were one way. It's just like you saw a guy, you thought he was that guy, and then you see him in a situation.
Starting point is 00:12:36 You're like, you really need to be sitting way over there. You're really not anybody I thought you were. And that's what happened when I saw this game. I have a different take on San Antonio now after watching this series. My hopes are not as high for San Antonio. There's some things that could go either way watching this series. I saw, what's the guy named? I saw a castle, very athletic, very strong.
Starting point is 00:13:04 But I don't know about this IQ of San Antonio. What I saw was poor IQ from San Antonio, from the coaching all the way down to the players, even I have to put Wembe in there. Being great and being talented is different than having a smart IQ. just knowing what to do. It just seemed like every time they were in a position to win the game, they didn't know what to do. They would make the wrong play.
Starting point is 00:13:32 And I'm as a person watching the game thinking, you got to know right here you don't shoot a three. It's like playing one-on-one for money. If I'm up two, I'm not letting you get back in the game. I'm going to the rack. And they would do everything but go to the rack. I remember one time, Wemby, they threw Wemby the lob, and he caught a dunk from way outside of the box.
Starting point is 00:13:56 I was thinking, this is the way you play. Then they start throwing more lobs for him. One time he tried to catch it backwards. And this entire game, it just seemed like OG was getting going. And then Jalen Brunson would just come save the date like every other game. He would end up once he got the 20, then he got the 30. It looked like, man, they're not going to let him get 50. At one point, I was thinking he was going to.
Starting point is 00:14:22 going for 50 because they just couldn't stop him going to the layup, going to the left hand, and he's left-handed. Make him make another shot, but a left-hand shot. I know that as a defender. I'm gone Jalen Brunson. He got to make a right-hand shot. He didn't make a right-hand shot that whole game, which means that my IQ says if he's going to beat me, I'm six-five, I'm smothering his left hand.
Starting point is 00:14:51 He has to do something in his right hand, and he just wouldn't. Every time he'll go right, and then he'll just fade away with the left. I'm like, man, we saw this with Kareem Reed, Kenny Anderson. How many years we've seen the left-hand guard do this? They should know this as pros, how to stop this, and it just didn't seem like they had any answers for Jaylen Brunson. But one of the real remarkable things that I like about this series, Josh Hart became a star.
Starting point is 00:15:25 He started hitting threes. Before this series, I don't remember him like being a three-point shooter. He became a valid three-point shooter in this series. And I think he's one of the more quiet, unsung heroes of this championship. I love what Carl Anthony Towns did, even when he gave you in a shout-out. That was beautiful to see. I love to see when generations come together. Shout out to the Knicks.
Starting point is 00:15:52 What a way to win. Yeah, for us to look, the Knicks was down five points at halftime. And me and PT was together. I said, the Knicks are going to win and Jalen Brunson is going to have 40 points. I was like this at halftime because the Knicks been up there every fucking game. Every game they've been up. I'm talking about San Antonio who's been up by double digits.
Starting point is 00:16:15 It seemed like San Antonio, right? This is how it works, this whole series. San Antonio builds a double-digit lead, and once they get the double-digit lead, they say, okay, if the Knicks catch us, they won. That's how it goes. Because even when the Knicks end up catching up the lead, whether it's 29 points, whether it's 12 points,
Starting point is 00:16:35 whether 15 points, they don't even fight back to try to get the lead back. Once the Knicks get the lead, they'd be like, oh, fuck it, they won. And you could tell about their body language. Yeah. The body language says it all. Everybody for the Knicks stunked up this game.
Starting point is 00:16:49 Everybody. O.G. didn't play good. Mackell Bridges played all right. Josh Hart didn't play good. Nobody played good. And then Jalen Brunster said, all right, Superman time. That's exactly what happened. All them niggas snunk it up. Those niggas ain't played like shit.
Starting point is 00:17:03 And that's why you need a nigger like that. Like, all right, cool. Don't say I ain't try and get niggas involved. Don't say I didn't try to get niggins involved. I tried to get niggas involved. Now I got to take matters into my own hands. And that goes, and look, I'll be the first of apologizes, along with a list of other people who were saying
Starting point is 00:17:26 before the playoffs started, all the guards was like, oh, he's too small. He's going to be a small guard. Listen, my apologies, nigger. My apologies, because I don't care who was gone. Castle. It was time when he came out. Everybody came out and dropped 45 in a close-out game
Starting point is 00:17:44 on the road is spectacular, bro. Super duper spectacular. So much props to him because, like I said, everybody's struggling and you say, okay, I got to do what I got to do. And the nigga did what he had to do.
Starting point is 00:17:59 Only other person who shot 50% was Mikel Bridges. That's the only other person who had a decent game. Everybody played. That nigga came through and did what he had to do. The best player for the Knicks was Jalen Brunson that night.
Starting point is 00:18:13 We know OGN and Nobly was on the way to get an MVP, but you cannot give a nigga to MVP after a nigga 45 points in the close-out game. The second best person player for the Knicks. Notice what I say for the next, not on the next was Deerrin Fox. He's the second best player for the Knicks that day. 315, just won't stop motherfuckers shooting. You ask BT. Every time I said, here we go.
Starting point is 00:18:39 I just kept looking at him. Just got to look at him. I said, before you get it, I said, This is why they're going to lose. Before you, as soon as you get the ball, this is exactly why he's going to lose. Biss, miss after miss, miss. Miss after nobody. Turnover after turnover.
Starting point is 00:18:53 So if you see Deanne Fox in New York, buy him a drink. Take him the dinner. Get him a pair of sneakers. Get him a hug. He was the second best player for the Knicks that day. The third best person for the Knicks. Miss Johnson Take him to dinner
Starting point is 00:19:15 Take him out Go buy him whatever he wants I didn't never see a nigga Not make no adjustments From game one to game five Nigger made zero Adjustments You ever think maybe
Starting point is 00:19:28 Like yo You want to put court now NW and Wemblee on the floor Maybe just Just pop off for five minutes How about five minutes And just see how it goes Because you know what a nigger
Starting point is 00:19:39 mentality is A nigger mentality is we should be winning 3-1. If Wimby don't throw it away or Wimby make the last shot or if O.G. didn't tap it in. We should be winning. But that's not the mentality you have when you only lose or win by one. You want to have a gap.
Starting point is 00:19:54 Like, don't you want to win by 12? Don't you want to win by 11? So that should not be your mentality saying, yo, we should be up. Yeah, we're good. We're good. Yeah, no, you're not good. You're not good.
Starting point is 00:20:06 You're not good. Absolutely not, man. So those are the three people for the close-out. game for the next championship as well. It was a time where, like I said, I'm just sitting to look at P because we are together pause and it's like, I say, yo, I might fly to San Antonio slap the shit out of a nigga. I see De Aaron Fox on the floor in the fourth quarter.
Starting point is 00:20:27 It's no reason. And Mace is correct. Mace caught this in the beginning of the series. He's absolutely right. Diller Harper needs to be on the floor. See, I think what Ms. Johnson is getting confused is, old. and more experience. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:43 And that's not the case. De Aaron Fox had played one playoff series in his life, and they lost in the first round. So in total, in total after yesterday's game, the San Antonio Spurs, that team had played together outside of Dillard
Starting point is 00:21:00 or, what, those things, 23rd, 20-sun playoff game. How many playoff game? 20-send game. 23rd. Whatever, 23rd. So Deeran Fox only plays seven more games. Yeah. So it isn't like he has a bunch of playoff experience.
Starting point is 00:21:14 I would rather give Dylan Harper that playoff experience when lose a draw because that way he gains the experience. He's coming back. You know what I'm saying? But it's a young team. And you sit there thinking also Stefan Castle stunk it up. Stunk it up. But he has to get one of the mentalities where you can tell by his body language as well.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Had an all-shooting night one for 10 from the field. He didn't actually get his first field goal to probably 17 seconds left in the game when he had a tap dunk. but you can tell about his body language like I'm missing. He has to get one of the mentalities. I can't think of the terminology for it at the moment. But so what?
Starting point is 00:21:48 I missed the hundred shots. I'm going to make the next one. You know, you have to, you got to forget the guy, men in black. I don't care if I'm, you can't, you can tell about the body language he was down on his self. So he has to get that mentality.
Starting point is 00:22:01 But look, this is his second year in the league. I'll take them young niggas over Deerrin Fox just fucking missing time after time after time and making the wrong decisions. My last take is this. Wimby, you're going to have to put your foot down. Or I'm talking about your agent, you or whatever.
Starting point is 00:22:19 You are not a center. You're not a center. You're just not. Me and PT was also talking about I keep bringing up Pekers. We're talking to a game. Why did Wembe go work out with Akeem Elijah one and Kevin Garnet? None of that appeared in the game. Well, what are you doing going to work out with them?
Starting point is 00:22:40 not using it. Be a three or four and be like, look, I'm going to be a three or four. The same way that Luca Dantas, when they drafted him, they say, yo, you're a forward. He said, I'm not a forward and I'm not going to stand for being a forward. Yeah, I'm an appoint guard. I'm appoint guard. So they say, well, we're going to, no, you're
Starting point is 00:22:56 not. You're not going to tell me to be a forward. I've been a point guard son, I'm 15 years old. Don't let my height fool you, because he's, pardon me, because he's six, seven. So at the end of the day, when me, you're going to have to put your foot down because you're not a center. And don't let them force you be in the center. This nigger wouldn't be here as a loose boy. He tried to grab it and throw it behind his back got ripped his shot. Like, yo, my nigga, what are you doing?
Starting point is 00:23:19 What are you doing, bro? It's like this, right? You would never put, and I'm not comparing them, you would never put Kevin Durant as a center because he's seven feet. Oh, he's seven feet. He ought to be a center. You wouldn't even think about it. Yeah. Put that man at the four-three position. Go get your niggas is a legit center, a legit power for it, bring Vacelle off the bench, and move around like that. I was just a dub. And at the end of the day, I would be trying to figure out
Starting point is 00:23:45 anything I could get for Deerette Fox. Anything. And they go, I don't know. What's my nigga name? I'll take the little, little snubby nigger paws. My nigga, what's my nigga? Cal, what's my nigga, Cal?
Starting point is 00:24:00 Yeah, from Philly. Give me that, Nick. The nigga was with Toronto. I don't know, Kyle Lowry. Cal Lowry. Call Lowry. Give me 42. The old Cal Lowry.
Starting point is 00:24:12 The nigga with the love flowing. What's his name? Shruder. Shooter. Shooter. That's what they needed. They needed. Listen, give me anybody at this point, my nigga.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Get that nigga $200,000 million, man. So at the end of the day, that's my takeaway from the last game. Yeah. And we got to make a New York Knick jersey for Fox. That should be the jersey. I'm wearing all summer. Number four. With Fox on the back.
Starting point is 00:24:39 Honorable mention. Let's actually dive into the Spurs a little bit more because I think that that's what a lot of people are trying to break down right now. Like, Cam, you spoke on Deere and Fox of Court and then you got to Mitch. And then even Vassell in his press conference, he spoke about Dylan Harper
Starting point is 00:24:52 and actually revealed that he said he was upset with playing time and different roles he was in but still persevered regardless. Devin Visell reported that regarding Dylan Harper. Yeah, but who was upset? Dylan Harper? Yeah, about his playing time. Yeah, and he should be.
Starting point is 00:25:08 But then when you go out there, miss that layup, I was really mad you, Dillon Hopper, you made me look bad when you missed that layup. That layup could have really sealed the game. Not that I wanted y'all to win, but you don't miss a layup. Not like this by
Starting point is 00:25:24 yourself for the league. You just don't do that, you know what I'm saying? You're going to be clutch. Your dad going going to be five ring ron. You got to get it done, big dog. I know, I know your mother trained you, but mama, you got to tell them. How out the glass? That's the first thing you learn in basketball.
Starting point is 00:25:40 all the basics. So I'm looking forward to Dylan Hopper showing back up. They definitely, like Killers said, they got to trade and get something for Darren Fox, and they got to get a forward. I would keep that three. I would keep Dylan Hopper, Wemby, and Castle, everything else I would get rid of. Because when you think of this, no, for real, if you think about a healthy OKC coming back, you can't re-up with this same team. No, it's not going to happen. If they got Jay Will, back, this same San Antonio team will not be OKC because their IQ is too low. What we like about the Spurs is the athleticism. But when you know how somebody got all the athleticism, but killer, they don't have this,
Starting point is 00:26:27 they don't have the gain yet. That's how I look at Castle. He got the athleticism, but there's no way you're that explosive and you don't get to the rat. It's no way they're pushing you out and got you pulling up jumpers. That means your handle is not that sharp. One time in game four, he hit a move where it was like a bounce, and he did a euro that was crazy. I was like, wow.
Starting point is 00:26:50 But that's explosive to the basket, but he need buggy time. He need to spend all summer with Kyrie or somebody like that that could get to the basket, that could dribble with both hands, that could shake and bake from both hands, because he got the explosiveness and he could shoot. But he got to get this off, and he got to. to get this all before Dominique Wilkins Jr. come because he got that game too on steroids. Remember, I told you that.
Starting point is 00:27:19 Okay. Yeah, I didn't get to ask a question. I was going to say, what was the number one thing that you think the Spurs need to do this offseason? It's a lot. Like, listen, and I didn't even get to him yet. We got the sixth man of the year I'm talking about when you talk about the Spurs. Caledon Johnson. He had 15 points of old series.
Starting point is 00:27:36 We're six men. What kind of six men is that? that. Get you 15 points for the whole it's series. And a lot
Starting point is 00:27:46 of this shit outside, look, I'm giving Wemby, Dylan Harper and Castle a pass.
Starting point is 00:27:55 But when you're there, you're there. The season's over. I'm just saying. No, seriously, listen, you got a 20-year-old,
Starting point is 00:28:01 a 21-year-old, and a 22-year-old, literally, not even figuratively. So it's part of your coaching staff to settle niggas in and he knew out of young coach the coach 39
Starting point is 00:28:14 so it's part of that to settle your players in and say look this is what we need to do even that layup you talked about right the Dylan Harper Miss I remember that one yeah I was pissed about it too but I'd rather take that over with Fox was door I said that then I was like fuck it if we can't
Starting point is 00:28:31 get mad at them yeah he tried to go for it he tried to go he cook it he's the only nigger doing anything you know what I'm saying But that happens too, like with this NBA, and that's why, you know, you got to give Mike Brown a lot of credit. Me and Church was just talking about that. The rings he ran around Mitch Johnson, this series was just ridiculous. Yeah. We don't even know what that center was.
Starting point is 00:28:57 I don't know what the nigger name was who got in the game. It was niggas. I didn't even know play for the next playing in the series. Then the heroics saw the 29-point comeback. with Alvarado, bro, nobody was thinking that Jalen Brunson and Alvarado going to play at the same time because they both small. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:15 But they both came and came back and they made it happen. It didn't work really in game five. But at the same time, the adjustments that Mike Brown was making, game to game the game, showed the adjustments that Mitch Johnson wasn't making. So, listen, I don't know. Like, you talk about, I kind of agree with Mace. Everything else is up for grabs.
Starting point is 00:29:39 It's available. It's times where I see Champany. Shout to Champany, you know, New York nigga, Brooklyn with the Bishop Lockland. No, you got to go. No, I'm just saying. I just shout to Charlotte, Bishop Lodgett. Sherwin Anderson was out there acting crazy. Him and Vassel, you keep one of them because, you know, they're pretty good knock-down threes.
Starting point is 00:30:00 What I was going to bring up was that. It's times I see Vassel and Champany. Because you shoot so many threes, these niggas can't. can't make layups. They both not, they called a goaltender for Visell. But he had a left-head layup and then shit rattled out.
Starting point is 00:30:15 Luckily, then Mitchell Robinson headed out the cylinder. But I'm like, it's a layup. I see the same thing with Sean Penny. He's on a fast break. Jalen Brunson, 6-1 in front of him. You 6-7 and you can't make a layup. Because you keep shooting threes
Starting point is 00:30:28 all game, that y'all niggas be forgetting. The fundamentals are just out the window. I just think it's totally gone. So I think everything's available. outside of the young niggas. Outside of fucking Jalen, pardon me, Diller Harper, 20 years old,
Starting point is 00:30:47 Stephart Castle, 21 years old, and wouldn't be 22 years old? Listen, I'm on the phone making deals, bro. I'm on phone making this. Kelton Johnson, listen, I didn't watch all the games. Yeah. I don't know how he got six men.
Starting point is 00:31:01 I just, I don't know how it happened. I didn't see it. I didn't see man of Genobey. You know, I ain't see Jabbar Crawford. I ain't seen all fucking niggas who were six men of the year before out there, man. Yeah, if you could get a knockdown shooter for one of them that'll really be solid with this team and can really defend. And they need more defense because now you know you're going to run back into this East Coast team.
Starting point is 00:31:29 And if you run into this East Coast team or the next team in Pistons or Boston, you're going to have to be ready to guard to defend that perimeter. And I think this was just an irony that the basketball guards made between Darren Fox and Coach Brown. Because remember, De Aaron Fox got Brown. People say it is a legend in the streets that Deeran Fox got Coach Brown fired as Sacramento. So what is the chances you run back into a nigga in the championship
Starting point is 00:32:04 and everything Mike Brown said about De Aaron Fox became true in that series. He said he could be a great player, but he's not ready to take that spot and ready to do what's necessary and he doesn't put the time in. And exactly what he said, we was able to see in real time.
Starting point is 00:32:23 So I thought that was even phenomenal that he can win a championship against somebody that got you fired. I know there was some happiness in that. Would you be happy to that? You got the chip on the person? that you thought got you fired? I mean, yeah, you've been to stun a little bit.
Starting point is 00:32:41 That's why he said, who let the dogs out when they got the trophy? That was all the Deering Fox. I told you you got to be a dog. And I ended with some dogs. Yeah. So I think a real interesting thing about this, too, is because obviously as we... Real quick, too. Last thing, real quick.
Starting point is 00:32:58 And I hate to keep going back to coaching, too. But seriously, and you necessarily such thing is over. coaching too. Yeah. Like niggas be playing to Spurs, don't get me wrong. You mean saying, no, Wimby got to do this, when we got to do that. Once you figure out when you, niggas got Wimby number, Wimmy's posting up and you're faring them back to the three-point spot.
Starting point is 00:33:17 And they're not letting them do all this between the legs shit he want to do and get to the basket. It's up to the coach to put the battery and the nigger back, pause. It's like, yo, when you got Diller Harper and you were like, yo, I'm going to clear it out, nigga. Go
Starting point is 00:33:32 to work, nigger. That's what They did with Jay Debrusson. Yeah. That's what they did, my nigga. We're going to win if you go crazy. Yeah. You're going to have to take us there. Everybody is soft tonight, nigga.
Starting point is 00:33:42 We only down seven and soft. Take us home. That's what he did. And these niggas still be running an offense and all this. And sometime a nigger's hot cause. And you got to run with that, my nigga. I love, listen, there's a few coaches I play for.
Starting point is 00:33:57 I love playing for. When you play for Thurham, and he put that battery in your back, he's like, let's go, Mr. Cameron. I was like, I love playing for the twins and gauchos. Nigget, ice cream, nigga. That was the play move.
Starting point is 00:34:10 What a nigga called ice cream? Niggas start dancing, doing all type of shit. Because you know you can get ready to go. And that nigga, Miss Johnson, don't have that relationship with none of the players. Maybe De Aaron Fox,
Starting point is 00:34:23 but that wasn't going to get you nowhere. That wasn't it. You should have that relationship with Dillon Harper like, it's your world, young world. Because sometimes as a player you need to hear that from the coach. Tonight is only about you.
Starting point is 00:34:38 Yeah. Everybody else just here tonight. Nigger, it's your world, nigga. Because at the same time, when you're young, like a Dylan Harper, you don't want to be like, I don't want to overstep my boundaries. Yeah. Because it's your world.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Yeah, exactly. I remember, remember, it was some players on our team in high school. So shout to Sean. My fan Sean Nelson. And this kid, George, my memory and Rich Parker came, and we was young. And Coach Rich was like,
Starting point is 00:35:15 look, y'all ain't been starting anyway. He told them because they was older than us. And he was like, look, we got to go with what's going to help us win. Don't disrespect, Sean. No disrespect, George, for a minute. But these young niggins is used to starting. So we, and y'all not.
Starting point is 00:35:30 So he's just going to bring y'all off the bench. But sometimes you gotta have a coach who'd be putting a battery in your back, my nigga and Mitch Johnson keeps subbing the nigga out every time a nigga get hot. It's just, you know, listen, it's just not gonna work like that. Yeah, he was too cool in defeat.
Starting point is 00:35:48 He was too cool for me in defeat. I thought Pop was gonna come from the bleachers or the Skybox and come down and coach at least at game three. I said, this is getting out of control. And when they won the game, I was like, oh, maybe he gets it. And then when the third, about the time he got to the fourth game, I was like, man, pop, this could have been another championship for San Antonio.
Starting point is 00:36:14 Because they were there. It's just the IQ was very low. And I'm going to keep saying this because hopefully in the future, we'll come back to this take. This IQ of this San Antonio team is very low. It's all kind of talent. It's all kind of athletic. But the knowledge of the game, like what plays you make and when you make those plays,
Starting point is 00:36:37 I don't want to hear nobody ever tell me again we couldn't play in the league. This was really low. Yeah, pretty frustrating for them too. Because I think the thing that we all kept saying is like the winner of the Thunder versus the Spurs is going to win it all. And we saw the complete opposite happen. Well, at the same time, not to interject. I said this before the series started.
Starting point is 00:36:57 This was some young niggas going against some grown men. Yeah. And I said this, and that's just what it was. Grown men showed up, and the young niggas got spank and put the bed. Go to bed at 10 p.m. You got a curfew. They gave them niggas a curfew
Starting point is 00:37:12 and put them to bed pause at 10 p.m. And that's what it's about. But at the same time, too, you know, like I said, sometimes the best teacher is experience. You go to school all you want. And I'm not being funny. It's that with school law.
Starting point is 00:37:29 she wants. She's here. It's nothing to do with school. Yo. And look at her. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. You go to school. You want the best teacher to be experienced
Starting point is 00:37:44 sometime. Now because you're experienced in doing this, you can tell people that go to school. Like, yo, you ain't got to go to traditional route. Yeah, don't do all of that. Let me tell you something. No disrespect to your knowledge in your school and everything else. And
Starting point is 00:37:59 I'm glad you got your education degree in NAACP. It's some amazing achievements. But if you didn't go to school and do the same thing you're doing up here right now, you still would have got the job. You ain't get the job because of your schooling. I didn't hire you like, yo, she's educated and smarter. She goes, nah, you did a good job. You wasn't scared of camera.
Starting point is 00:38:17 You knew your sports. You could talk back when it was trying to have a conversation. This had nothing to do with your school. So at the end of the day, sometimes the best teacher be experienced. It's just the case. It's not like the idea that. No, that's the truth. This is what people need to hear too.
Starting point is 00:38:31 But at the same time, school for me gave me the experience. Because if I didn't, if I went to just class and I went home, I wouldn't have mentally been prepared. Like, I was doing, I was working a lot. No, I'm just saying. No, not to control. Continue what you said. I'm just saying for me.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Because I'm just saying, I didn't look at, because you know, for jobs too, right? When you look at jobs, you're like, oh, this is a Harvard. Okay, they got to nothing. Oh, yeah. I didn't look. I didn't get to fuck where you went to school. I just like, can she get on to,
Starting point is 00:38:57 because you know what happened before you came. I had two other people. Yeah. I had a female child to my home girl, Dawn, because we talked about doing this show way, way, way before we did it. And I love Dawn. She's still my home girl to this day.
Starting point is 00:39:10 But when the cameras came on, froze. No disrespect. Don, I want to blow you up. She's on the very first episode with me, Coach Dave of her. And she froze and then the next girl, she was good.
Starting point is 00:39:22 But she, me and Mason, be like, so what do you think? She didn't know what to say. So, yes, your schooling did prepare you for the moment, but it wasn't like I really looked at your resume. It was more about how she performs on camera. She's knowledgeable and everything else. So sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off.
Starting point is 00:39:38 No, you're good. You basically explain it all. I'm just saying experience is also hard to get. So that's why if we're even relating it back to the teams, it's like I know you, because even you were saying like they're one piece away. Like they're just right there. But it's interesting how the person who you would kind of expect to have more experience, which would kind of in turns be Deerrin Fox was not the person that would.
Starting point is 00:39:58 was it. So I don't know. It's, it's being a different ways. When you think about experience, right? I'm talking about Nix and Spur. Yes.
Starting point is 00:40:06 The Nix was in the Eastern Conference fighters last year. Deer Fox never won a playoff series. This is what I'm saying about. Give the experience to Dillard Harper. Let that nicket get the experience. Let him get the shit. So he could be like,
Starting point is 00:40:19 yo, all right, cool. Let him gain it once you see Popper's not doing good. Yeah. And the coach that he failed is coaching the other teams. This is the part that was just like so eye-opening.
Starting point is 00:40:32 It's like, no, I'm not putting you against Mike Brown. Mike Brown know all your weaknesses because he's the reason, you know, you got him out of there. So he definitely knows what to do. He said, push him left. Push him left in and jump the screen. He's going to pull up every time. He knew it.
Starting point is 00:40:50 And he pushed him there every time. He did the same move. Every time he went for the layup when he could have just ran the ball out. You know, it's just a lot of this was on him. Not all of it, but you're the point guard. You've got to set these plays up. You got to put Wemby on the box. You got to set a pick for him to come around and get him the ball.
Starting point is 00:41:11 That's the point guard's job to get the start a ball where he can make baskets. Yeah. And actually speaking on Mike Brown, his quotes on Dary and Foss actually resurfaced because even at the time, a lot of the issues that we saw here are the issues that he saw then. So crazy full circle moment for him. Crazy full circle. Like, yeah, he just doesn't. And it was like, wow.
Starting point is 00:41:33 There should be no close out opportunity. Like he kept emphasizing that. It just never got fixed. So I don't know. We've seen it happen later on. Okay. So again, of course, congratulations to the Knicks. We never really spoke specifically on finals MVP,
Starting point is 00:41:47 which shout out to Jalen Brunson because he was the winner of that. So we're just going to get into it, Mace. From everything we've seen, right, does this make Jalen Brunson? the league's best point guard right now. Yeah, I mean, that's common sense. That goes without saying it doesn't matter what SGA did, his sneakers, the chrome hard on the bottom of those sneakers. SGA is right there.
Starting point is 00:42:12 But with this performance that I've seen in a close-out season, it just, what have you done for me lately? You know where we're from? We're from New York. Everything can change. It could change tonight. You know what I'm saying? Not tomorrow, tonight it could change.
Starting point is 00:42:29 The performance that Jalen Brunson gave in that close-out game, his resilience when they was bumping them off the picks, they was trying to throw him to the floor. One time they knocked them into the scoreboard. It's like you're not going to rattle him. And he just comes from a basketball pedigree. Sometimes the dad wants you to do well, but the mother wants you to be a violentist.
Starting point is 00:42:51 You know what I'm saying? But it seemed like his mother breeds basketball. his dad breathes basketball. He's just basketball through and through. He doesn't want to do anything else. He doesn't like anything. It looks like he doesn't like anything else. And it's going to be hard for a person that eat, sleep, and breathe basketball
Starting point is 00:43:12 to not be the best play on the floor. So right now, I know before this playoff, we had different people up there with them. He was right there with, Cade, he was right there with SGA, but now he surpassed him with his performance. And you always got to say the best players, the one who got MVP. There's no way around that. How could I not be the best players?
Starting point is 00:43:38 There's no way you all have a conversation with me or a killer about I'm not the best player and I'm standing here with the trophy. So whether Killer won the championship up in a Rucker at 15, if he's standing there with the MVP, he's the best player in there. I don't want to hear how old everybody is and what you did before. We're going with right now. Right now, Jalen Brunson is the best player in the league. I see niggins get the MVP or wasn't the best player.
Starting point is 00:44:08 Andre I, I, Quedala got MVP one year because he got it, LeBron James Good. So they're like, give it to Inquadala. He's pretty good on defense. So it's scenarios. But listen, I agree with Mace. It's hard to argue. If you're sitting there saying, if you start on the team, right, and he said you want a point guard.
Starting point is 00:44:26 How you don't say you don't want Jalen Brunson? And like I said, everybody who this Jailen Brunson is kicking their self and ass because Jalen Brunson, and the reason I love the nigger Jalen Brunson is because he didn't say nothing. All of everybody, everybody talks shit. Even like, you know, even me, it makes to be totally honest with you. But you're going to see what he'd do against Hardening
Starting point is 00:44:46 and Donovan Mitchell is different when it's more. And then you see all these sound bites or all these other sports analysts when Jalen Brunson got to the Knicks. Oh, he's too small. Becky Hamm and the coach. Oh, I don't know. She told Big Perk on ESPN.
Starting point is 00:45:02 No, no. He can't get it done. You need a 1A player. You don't have a 1A player on the Knicks. And then Perk was like, oh, they got a 1A player. I ain't going to lie. Kendrick Perkins has been pumping Jalen Brunson
Starting point is 00:45:15 Paws for last year and a half. And he's the only one I've seen. very consistent saying that he can win a championship. He says it's only been going to be three people, small guards to win championships. It would be Jalen Brunson, Isaiah Thomas, and Steph Curry. I don't even put Steph Curry in that equation. First of all, Steph Curry is 6-3, even though he's a smaller guard.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Jalen Brunson, 6-2, Isaiah Thomas, 6-1. But Steph Curry's not even a traditional point guard. He doesn't even bring the ball up. He plays off the ball a lot. So it's really just Jalen Brunson and Isaiah Thomas. Why not, Kai Rhee? We're talking about won championships. Oh, yeah, sorry about that, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:58 That's a good point, too, absolutely. But I think that what Kendrick Perkins was trying to say, the best player. And that's arguable, too, if you want to pick him over LeBron. Because Kai Rie did the shot to win it. That's a fact. That's a fact. We got to put Kai Rie there. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:12 That's a great point. That's a great point. That's a good point as well, absolutely. But I guess that's the argument. But, yeah, I didn't even think about great. great assessment as well. That's why I was sitting there thinking. I'm like, I forgot the nigga actually won with LeBron. So absolutely, that's a great point, Mace. So yeah, you got Kyrie, you got Kyrie, you got Isaiah Thompson now, you got Jalen Brunson.
Starting point is 00:46:35 But I got to agree with it right now. I'm not taking a point of over Jaylen Brunson. But this is what I'm saying. This is exactly why I wanted to have Jaylen Brunson go against SGA. So this wouldn't even be a conversation. Because at that end of the day, you can't get, you know, I'm not mad that somebody going to say SGA neither. I'm almost, listen, I said SGA tour and I, and I might tomorrow say SGA. You know, we're in the moment right now for 45 point victory in the closeout. It may be three weeks and I'll be like, no, I'm bugging six, seven, dig it smooth as ice, didn't have no help really.
Starting point is 00:47:12 Chet checked out. Chet checked out before the fucking series started with motherfucking fucking San Antonio. A.J. Mitchell, he was hurt, which is their second league school. Do we talk about J. Dubb, took them niggins to seven games, basically by itself. You know, so what help did he really had? Dork is just dear for defense. He'd be football player and shit. Shout to Dork, I think he's a great player as well.
Starting point is 00:47:34 But they did a lot. Fingernail man did a sudden one game with them niggins. What's the nigga name? The name? The name my heart. It's a slight. Yo. Nigger.
Starting point is 00:47:48 Yeah. He played a couple good games, you know what I'm saying? But at the end of the day, that's why I really want to see that sand in town. Pardon me that Oklahoma City. SGA against the Knicks because it wouldn't have been no argument after it. It wouldn't have even been. Oh, yeah. It wouldn't have been nothing because.
Starting point is 00:48:07 Because right now we still want to see it. Yeah, because at the end of the date. Yeah, because at the end of the date, like I said, it's hard to argue. We're 48 hours away from one. 45 point victory. Yeah. But I don't know next month. Next month I've been like, nah,
Starting point is 00:48:24 niggas is wild. That's GA is nice. So them two players would have played against each other, that would have been sensational because it wouldn't have been the argument. You would have seen who won. Okay. So after this next win, so for the first time in league
Starting point is 00:48:38 history, there have been eight different champions in the past eight years. Mace, do you think this is good for the league? How do you feel about that? I love this because it lets you know that that whole idea of we got to stack the team is not necessary it's not necessary we saw a new york team do this with a bunch of blue collar workers right so this whole idea we need yonish or we need this person i remember when they were saying they need zion looking back on all this
Starting point is 00:49:12 note you just really needed a solid big man to compliment jaylen brunson and shut out the cat. I know people don't give Kat a lot of props with this. He set the tone for this. He set the tone for this. And your question against that? Yeah, do you think it's good for the lead? I think this is marvelous for the league
Starting point is 00:49:32 because now everybody got the thing. Do we stack a team or do we really just need players that have heart? Like, when I saw this New York team, they were playing for each other, they believed in each other. They had everything that you look for in the championship team.
Starting point is 00:49:48 Everybody was unselfish. Everybody knew their role. You know, there's a lot of times that's why teams don't win. People don't know their role. So when things go awry, people start doing stuff that's uncharacteristic. On this team, they knew. We play our team ball, and then when it gets to the fourth quarter, it's Jalen Brunson time.
Starting point is 00:50:08 Everybody had their chance to do what they needed to do, and now it's my time. And I love this for the league because now in the West Coast, it's going to be up for. grabs. You're going to have Golden State trying to get back to glory. You're going to have Ant Man with a new team. They're going to have to make a change of them in, not in Minnesota. Then you got OKC coming back. You got, you know, you got everybody shooting back for the West. But I think the East is going to belong to New York even next year. I think Detroit would be
Starting point is 00:50:44 right there. But this is good because now we don't know who's going to win. I like that kind of NBA where everybody got to come to play in any given day it could be somebody else's league. I like that because that means this is a summer of separation. So in the summer you get to separate yourself from all the other players and every other sport just like any other time. The summer is where you separate. I think it's great for the league as well because you know you don't want to have a foregone conclusion who's going to win. But I will say this, depending on what move San Antonio makes and everything, I think it's three teams that's definitely.
Starting point is 00:51:26 I think it's the Knicks and depending on what happens in the East. And I think it's OKC in San Antonio again. I don't have any conference in Denver. Golden State they're getting old as fuck. Jimmy Butler, hopefully he'll come back. I like Jimmy Butler. I hope he comes back from injury. We don't know.
Starting point is 00:51:41 We've seen what the Lakers can do. I don't think that Laker 3 is going to make it. Don't know if Braun's staying and not standing. I don't see anybody really challenging. If they get Ant Man some help, maybe. You got to get them some help. I don't think Julius Randall is the answer for the help. I don't even know if Devin Chenzo makes it back next season
Starting point is 00:51:58 because of the time period he got injured in. Rudy Gobert, I don't know a team in the West challenging the Spurs are OKC. And to me, the Knicks, as far as the East is concerned, you got a motivated, motivated Boston Celtics, because they hate this more than anything else. They put, you know, I've seen Jalen Brown say he hate winning the next one. He said he hates it.
Starting point is 00:52:24 So you got to, and he wasn't even talking about the championship. I've seen them say this shit a few months ago. So at the end of the day, you got to think about the people who's really, really pissed off. And it goes in this order. Tom Tibido, Julius Randall, Devin Chenzo. Oh, yeah, he's tired. And then everybody on the Celtics. they probably can't stand it.
Starting point is 00:52:47 And Pat Riley. Yeah, yeah, Pat Riley. So at the end of the day, I'm thinking, like, if I'm looking at it from next year's perspective, Detroit, you're going to have to get somebody else to help Cade out. You know, Duren is cool, but he ain't like that. You got to get him some help. I'm looking at Boston, and I'm looking at the Knicks,
Starting point is 00:53:09 and the Knicks to me, the way they've been playing the last two seasons, it ain't really that bigger deal about the, you know, the regular season. You know, me and sin was fucking with each other all season. But even sin because he wants the number, you know, you want the number one seed coming into the playoffs. And he kept saying, damn, we got to catch bossy, you got to catch the trade. That shit didn't matter. Them niggas went 16 and 3 in the playoffs. That's what mattered.
Starting point is 00:53:34 They lost one game since they was down two to one against Atlanta. So to me, that's what matters. So I don't, like I said, we don't know. know who's going to win next year. I think to answer your question, I think that is great that we don't know going to win. But unless teams do some real shit, I only see four teams right now that can actually make something happen to be in the finals next year. And Atlanta, you know, like that foolish pride when you were up to on a person and you think they won the championship psychologically, people start talking to their brains. Like,
Starting point is 00:54:12 then we could have won a chance of shit. You know people start saying that, especially young boys. I think they amped up watching this. Like, man, we had them to one. So do you think we could have done that? They're definitely thinking that. They lost about 50. They ain't just lose.
Starting point is 00:54:32 Ninks ain't start spanking them, sending all type of records on them niggas. Like, yo, what are we doing playing with our food? Because we're doing playing with Atlanta, man. Finish your breakfast. Niggas spanked in about 50 a half time and some crazy shit like that. It was like one of the worst shit
Starting point is 00:54:49 I ever seen in my life at a professional basketball game. So let your hawks, go ahead and fool yourself with that. If y'all was thinking that boozy, anybody else was down there. D.C. Young fly to both my niggins, got to fool yourself.
Starting point is 00:55:05 Niggas lost about 50 a half time. I like this, psychologically. I like this, though. New York back at the time. I like this. Okay, so we heard Cam name all the threats, but Mace, I guess I'll ask you this to end it, money question. I know you said New York is back,
Starting point is 00:55:20 but do you think they can run it back? I actually do think they could run it back. What I've seen in this team, like, you know, me, I'm reporting from Title Town, so I know what champions look like. And they have all the ingredients to run it back. Like they have an organization. What I saw with their fans,
Starting point is 00:55:42 The fans are going to want them to run it back, right? So now it's this new persona that everywhere they go, people are playing against the champs. They're going to play them differently. But New York has the crowd and the staff and the aura to absorb that. New York has always been shot at. It's always been a place that people try to go at. And I think in every position, the only position I know Killer said
Starting point is 00:56:08 that McKell Bridges was the one who played decent, in that game, he would be the only one I would replace. Now, I'm just going to go out there and tell you what I'm thinking, because when you talk about running it back, this is where LeBron should go. If you want to just take a little check and go finish up in a big market, this is where you go.
Starting point is 00:56:34 Now, you replace McHale Bridges, even with her old LeBron, and this is back-to-back. And we'll take Bronny. We'll take Brony. And Brony can be on his team. He can be on the... And listen, you can be goat. This is goat right here.
Starting point is 00:56:52 You come to New York. Oh, my goodness. Okay. I said that the LeBron goes to the Knicks. I mean, it's your last year. How do you want to go out, champ? You want to go out and stout? This is where you go out.
Starting point is 00:57:05 You want to get back at L.A. Go to New York. You jump teams. It's not a new jump for you. Go to New York, and I'm telling you, New York will celebrate this. PT, what do you think? LeBron and the portal?
Starting point is 00:57:21 I love it. Not to New York. I love it. And kill her love it. LeBron, holy. What? I'm not jacking. Not at all.
Starting point is 00:57:29 I'm not jacking it. And I'm going to tell you straight up and down there. I already see. Shout to say, y'all have to go to IRA rate page. The IRA rate page, right? They had LeBron a week ago, and the New York judge said, nah dog we good they put Kevin Durrana
Starting point is 00:57:43 they put Kevin Durrana joy they said now everybody because they'd be having all these people on on like possibilities like you just said and they're like nah fam and the comments all the comments I can't tell Leon Rosen Worldwide West what to do
Starting point is 00:57:58 that's who's going to make the decision but the streets the streets is like nah dog we're straight they don't even want you honest now I'm not talking about I wouldn't change this team I'm not talking about level-headed GMs
Starting point is 00:58:15 the fans they don't want to hear it bro all y'all niggas had a chance because you got to think about it LeBron had a chance to come to New York years ago he didn't come then Kevin Durant went to Brooklyn so when they have to
Starting point is 00:58:28 yeah so I would say this if the Knicks would have lost you start thinking about it you give them a chance to run it back with what this is saying What you're saying Mace is not wrong. I'm not saying it's wrong. It's from a business standpoint. And you know I get it.
Starting point is 00:58:45 The streets don't get it. They don't want it. They don't want it. We ain't with none of that. Yeah, yeah, before he gets it. We know what, think about this, right? Don't bring that juju over. All that.
Starting point is 00:58:59 You got to think about this. They almost on a real note. They almost wasn't with the Carl Anthony Taylor shit. Yeah. It was like, yo, let you. let Julius Randall heal up and see what we can do with that. Nah, leave this alone.
Starting point is 00:59:13 You talk about a problem because if they don't win, if they don't win, it's going to be a... It's like he came over. There you go, yeah. Yo, bro, we had... Everything was all right. That's what you were. We was rolling.
Starting point is 00:59:26 Yeah, we were straight. And niggas want to start doing this and doing that and everything else. What I will say is this, you know, there's been rumors talking about possibly. Well, let me ask you what you think about this. Jalen Brown
Starting point is 00:59:40 for you. Atlanta? No, Jalen Brown to Milwaukee for Yannis to go to Boston with Tatum. I like that. I like that. I like that. I like that. See, that would mess
Starting point is 00:59:54 New York up. So I don't like it. Right now we back, we above Atlanta. I'm happy with it. If you're in Atlanta, man, there's so many, There's so many New Yorkers down there. They have Bronx Day.
Starting point is 01:00:10 They have Harlem Day. I went to Bronx Day one day down there. Yeah, me too. I said, wow, we don't have a day. He's like, man, it's come to Bronx Day. I'm like, yo, when is Harlem Day? They say, you have town, man. I went to Bronx Day one day, man.
Starting point is 01:00:27 Yeah, but the way... They still do it? Yeah, the way they rap in Atlanta is crazy. If you could go to Atlanta, it's no new. New York anything stuff in the stores. There's no Nick jerseys. There's no no Nick hats, no fittets, no snapbacker. You would think this is Atlanta.
Starting point is 01:00:46 Yo, Phil. I was at the juice ball earlier. I see three Nick Jersey. I was like, well, I've never seen a Nick jersey up in my life. Yeah. So it's not, you can't even buy something in Atlanta that got New York on it. It's crazy. Crazy.
Starting point is 01:01:02 So, but yeah, to make a long story short, But we're thinking about it in Tidaltown. We're running the paperwork. We want to see what you guys think about LeBron coming to New York. Y'all let us know. Ain't jacking it, bro. I'm telling you that right now, bro. And you were saying Sacrifice McAll Bridges, they said F them picks.
Starting point is 01:01:20 They want everything to remain how it is. Oh, yeah, I keep it. I was just joking, but I would keep this. Okay, Nick's fan. I would keep this team exactly the way it is. What I saw in this team was camaraderie, What I saw on this team was family. What I saw on this team was resilience.
Starting point is 01:01:39 Like, anybody that you've come back from 29 points with, y'all have an energy that's unbreakable. I don't care what nobody says. When you win back to back with people is because of some continuity. Because there's people that get together on great teams and they don't win together. And they – I remember that was boss. Pippin. You got all this talent. I remember it's Carl Malone, Steve Nash, Kobe. You could put a lot of talent together, but it's something about when the Rubis Cube just clicked. It's just something about it. And this team, this team is reminding me of the Detroit team that won with Prince and Rip Hamilton and Wiley. this is that team, a blue-collar team. And whenever you got that kind of team,
Starting point is 01:02:38 you're always going to be in a serious. That's a great way to double back on your take of saying LeBron James going to the next year. And Bronny. And Brony. Great job, man. You even pull PT in with that bullshit. Good job, man.
Starting point is 01:02:51 Way to recover. That's why they pay me the big box. Way to recover, man. Spinner. Y'all heard it here first from your favorite Knicks fans. Like, who would have thought? Like, this is not the expectation that I had, but y'all, that is awesome. Say, you're moving to New York.
Starting point is 01:03:11 I never seen nobody like you in my life, holding state. I am. Now you're going to move to New York. And now you're bedazzled. Yeah, you got to have the bedazzled shirts, you know. They have bedazzled shirts literally when they were on stage. I was like, dang, it's a takeover. But they already know what it is.
Starting point is 01:03:29 This ain't a shock. Y'all get it. But y'all, that is all the time. that we have for today and to the fans. Thank y'all for supporting us throughout the season. This is our last episode just for this season. So again, congratulations to New York. Congratulations to the Knicks.
Starting point is 01:03:46 Who would have thought we'd be ending here with a Knicks championship? And I'm going to give my apologies because I think everybody up here had some doubt at some point. But now look at all of us. Look at him. Stad, I gave them my blessing. That's why they won. I gave him my blessing.
Starting point is 01:04:04 We don't even need to go back to the tape. I gave New York my blessing. Nobody in New York refuted it and looked at here. Title Town gave you a blessing, man. If y'all want me to remove it, I can remove it. My Social Security cars say I was from born in New York, and I'm from New York. I could go back home and I want to go back home.
Starting point is 01:04:26 I was born and raised in New York. I lived across the street from Woolworth. I don't even know if y'all know what Woolworth is, man. So, Floridians, welcome. See, not. Floridian. The same way I went to school and I ended up here. We all up here with some New York some.
Starting point is 01:04:48 So congratulations to the next. Congratulations to New York. At least Mace went to school in New York, man. Nase is a New Yorker. I don't know what you're talking about. We all up here with some New York night. You have no New York background. I ain't going to do that to you, Beth.
Starting point is 01:05:03 No, in front of me, I'm like, I love the city of New York. You're like, what she's talking about? This is O-Dead. You know? Stad ate one-chop cheese and now she's from New York. Yeah, man, come on, man. That's great.
Starting point is 01:05:15 Brunton-Egg of cheese. I'm with it. I'm going to be in New York. Y'all are going to see me and I'm going to post it. Yeah, let's wrap up, man. Yo, we see y'all football season. We'll see football season in August and August, man.
Starting point is 01:05:26 Thank you for watching. Thanks for watching. And as always, it is what it is. Hold on.
